Gigabyte GSmart 2005 - User Reviews

  • The problem with my newly purchased G1205 is that even though the volume is high, I hadly hear what my caller is saying. The ringing volume too is too low for my hearing when compared with my other phones, i need help on that.

  • I have ubi 401 same with this. It's very good and cheap.

  • i bought g smart when they first came out in au and i really dont like it. it works perfectly but not practical too fat........

  • hi every body . i have a g.smart , but my pda tv dont work good , i think its because of the region of my tv setting it have just one country "tiwan" is there any one that tell me how i can change my region setting ? at all think its a good pocket pc .

  • hello i need program tv for egypte my phone model giga i teq bond black plz help me!

  • hi, I think it is compeletly pda who i see to now. It has hi-performance between another pda. With g-smart all of the reguast are next you.

  • This is a great mobile....i think it is the BEST VALUE FOR MONEY PDA one can buy. Not only it is an excellent mobile (performance wise) but also it has EVERYTHING in one PDA (Intel processor with Window 5.0, TV free to air channels, FM Radio, Good camera and Video, Navigationn system, etc). I am expressing my opinion as a VERY VERY happy owner....not just review it theoretically. Practically as an owner I could NOT have asked more at the given price. Forget other PDAs if you want something excellent at a good price.

  • i wasnt gna buy it because of the low 2mp camera, but wow this had a 2.1mp!!!

  • great!! mp3,fm radio,touchscreen,2mpcam with macro winmobile, slider & t v !! all in one! wonderfull pda phone in the word! thanks giga...............

  • hi folks, why you are thinking about purchasing a brand of a new player. just put ur money in any SE and you will have value for money. dont try new things and get your hands fired.

  • hellow,i owned this phone for 1 month ago.all i can say its a very bad phone i ever had.it is hanging all the time, very slow.very bad video recorder.very small internal memory.only the good things is battery life is fair and sound is good for ring tones and during a call.dont buy this phone.if u want a greet pda phone go for asus p525.

  • Right here is my opinion of the Ubiquio 401 phone in a summary. It has been used ALOT for over a few days to gat an opinion: * Build quality - 3/5 (not the sturdiest slid mechanism but the paint chippings was only on previous models) * Speed (once a few tweaks have been done) - 4/5 * Ease of use - 4/5 * Camera - 3/5 (pictures turn out okay, there is quite a bit of lag but you can't expect too much from a cmos sensor but has improved on earlier models and there are apps available to improve it) * Features pre installed - 4/5 * Battery life (i'm using 1300mAh) - 5/5 * Internal memory - 3/5 (could of made a huge difference if it was 128mb) *** Overal in my opinion 4/5 All in all i don't think for 200GBP you'd find a better example of a pda/phone.

  • As far as I'm aware the Ubiquio 401 is identical to this Gigabyte. All specs match and it has the same processor and the same version operating system along with the same attachments (i.e. TV adaptors). I'll let you know about it in about 10 days or so though with an unbiased opinion.

  • pls tell me your opinion about ubiqio 401. is it the same phone?

  • Sorry Saeed just realised it was the post below for user "hi".

  • *** Saeed *** I'll be geting the ubiquio 401 version shortly and will be able to let you know about that. I'll also be getting the 1300mAh battery as well. What is this camera you mentioned? Reason i ask is if you supply me with the info to get one i'll be able to let you know what it's like.

  • I bought it from Dubai and i can say it has everything without any sign of quality. Very poor camera, almost useless tv. func. and the worse is the paint on it which has almost completely removed after 1 month.

  • sarah-jane Check ASUS P525. i have that now....its a great device with the best camera available on any PPC. The camera on the gigabyte is crap.

  • I have found one running on same design at half the price of Giga its UBIQUIO 410 but does any one has tested the battery ?? Also does any one have good information about external comera attached to mem-stick to get professional pic?

  • What's the camera like? I'm looking to replace my aging Qtek 8080 (SPV E200 Voyager) with either this, or the Qtek 8500 (HTC Star 100). Can't make my mind up which one to go for. This sounds a bit heavy though. But it has WiFi and a slightly bigger camera than the 8500. But, the 8500 is better looking, smaller and lighter. Maybe go for both just to be sure? :-)

  • I had this phone 3 months back. The version distributed in Iran is under the name I-Teq Bond. The screen is too small, the camera is useless indoors, the TV tuner works only with a strong reception, and I didnt find any use for the rest of the gizmos. Its made of shinny black plastic, which is scratched easily and u have finger prints all over the body.It cost me about 1000 US $. The moment I held the device in my hand for the first time I had the feeling I threw away my money.

  • There were already a number of windows devices... and the recent additions were ASUS and GIGABYTE PDA/phones... all those contenders(including IMATE,QTEK,O2,ETEN were having a battle against only one most popular/strongest PDA phone today:P990... but i my opinion, P990's weakness is it's OS and Processor... if it is a windows OS phone then say goodbye to all symbians! windows is just dominating the PDA/phone market...:-)

  • Does any1 of you have ever had in your owen hands? I want to know how works that navigator and 3D map.. Plz some1 who had it post me... i'm really interested in it. cya

  • gigabyte makes phones 2 ?

  • i think dis is a good start for gigabite! 2 mp camera , tv, bluetooth and - 3D maps - Voice navigation system ,wat else v can ask for good 1 but dont no how much it is going to cost!!
