HP Slate10 HD - User Reviews

  • The tablet is great infact I used it to post this comment ,the tablet could use a better cpu and is updates comes with jellybean official update comes KitKat

  • Slow device. After update no funktion. Reset impossible. Suport hotline only by e-mail request. I bougt a new one. Samsung Galay Tab A an I came from the shade into the sun.

  • Its not so bad.... Its just worse than you expect......

  • Summary: Get this tablet if you find it new with a steep discount, want a first android device with quality build, big screen, slightly above entry level performance or just want something to tinker with. Don't get this if you have already tasted android on high performance hardware, expect an official update to lollipop or higher, want to play leading modern 3d games, want a loud little party machine. I've had mine for a week and I think as long as you keep your expectations realistic, it's ok for what it is; a now 2yr+ old device that is hard pressed to keep up with modern rivals but is an ok fit for first time/low end android users. The plastic construction is solid and doesn't feel cheap. It handles basic media tasks well, with 720p being its video sweet-spot but is crippled by an update that kills most of the benefits of having an sd card installed. The stereo speakers are clear but seriously underpowered (I don't know if the beats audio is an equaliser preset or actual hardware but it does help fill out the sound a bit). Display is a touch over HD (800p vs 720p). Its sharp enough for most tasks but struggles in bright day time conditions. My unit's display has some serious light bleed along the edges but it's still fine for most things. It's heavier than most new tablets out now but you quickly get used to that. It comes with Kit Kat installed but apart from the annoying update that basically makes your sd card read only in the device, there will be no official upgrades to Lollipop, let alone Marshmallow. Basically, its an ok tablet that is now EOL (end of life).

  • having used HP slate10 HD I can say this is the worst tablet money can buy.a piece of crap the Bluetooth, camera, connectivity, speed is 0%.I've never been disappointed by any device like I've been with this and I vow never to buy any HP product with my money even if its all that is left in the world.

  • My HP slate10 is without doubt the worst piece of tech I have ever had the misfortune to own mine was bought has a gift let me explain what It cannot do 1.Bluetooth never works.2 It cannot be connected to a TV the only tablet according to the shop that can't.3 Mobile data connection is like going back in time.Customer info or service is non existent. DO NOT BUY A TABLET FROM HP.

  • please does it have a sim slot. would u recommed it

  • I have this tablet... and i'm very disapointed with it. It's very slow and laggy, resolution is poor, it's impossible to multitask (unless you think it's ok to restart you tablet 2 or 3 times a day) and the camera is rubbish. It accepts micro sim cards but even that is bad, because you cant make phone calls or sent sms, it only works as a 3g mobile internet device. This tablet is so bad that i wonder if hp did any performance tests before releasing it.

  • I would like to tell you that this device hot kit Kat in the day I'm writing this comment

  • Can i connect my dongle to this?

  • using a call making phone

  • I have broken the glass which affected the display.is extra display with touch available for this?

  • Hi Don, how do u recharge your data. Since u can't mek calls with the phone

  • It has a sim slot right nxt to the memory card slot

  • Yeah it do support viber

  • does it supports viber?

  • No. read the description at the top of the page.

  • Slow dual core processor, poor screen DPI, no sim card slot, not enough on-board memory. You get what you pay for. What else is there to say!

  • can i make calls with this tab?

  • pls can i make calls and end sms with dis tab?

  • I've had mine for about a month now.I don't use it a lot because I'm quite busy. However I have found that watching videos on YouTube is nothing short of hair pulling craziness.the tablet cannot keep up with the video. This is contrary to what I have been reading about this tablet. It supposedly is supposed to handle YouTube videos very well.many things can make a person unhappy with their new electronic device. Overall I am happy with the performance and other things related to this tablet. However because of the video problem I am NOT happy with it an have to turn to my laptop to watch YouTube videos if I don't want to set around all day in watch the little arrow spin in circles.the 4G is very nice the 250 megabytes to me is enough in case of emergencies and you can always buy more data at a reasonable cost.

  • i of the most bullshit description of product on hp site. the video says 1920 * 1200 but hp doesnt bother to mention it anywhere in specs. i visited hp store and they say 1920 * 1080 and this product was not available in any of the stores in delhi. how pathetic can hp be!!!!
