HTC P3600i - User Reviews

  • it can not display the menu

  • There is a driver availabe for the trinity, that supports 8-16 gb cards. I use 8 giga with no problem.

  • i want to change language p3600 htc and where is the ringtone profile of this phone..reply me please [email protected] plzzzzzzzzzzz

  • what yu means 8g ? htc officials just replied my msg and said p3600i support maximum 4gb

  • what is the maximum media storage card the phone can detect? what abt 8gb?

  • It's been a long time since I used this phone but I think that this is the only phone that was ever made that looks muscular and elegant at the same time! Flaws: it has too little RAM memory so it may lag a little, 2mpx camera is too weak for todays standards but it was good at the time, resistive touch screen is really hard to tap on even using the pen. Advantages: good old win mobile, GPS (no A-GPS support, but it really does the work), WiFi and, the main advantage, its look.

  • hi may i know how to check the Bluetooth address for this model? urgent need. tq

  • The original P3600 is equipped with 400Mhz processor, the upgraded one (p3600i) is with 500Mhz...

  • The proc is a Samsung at 400MHz, not 500MHz

  • I have P300i too and i also installed mapking on it and it working well on mine..specifically what kind of problem u have?

  • to amer u can go n check to www.titipan.org , sign up to be a member and then go to forum "all about ppc aplication"

  • I've emailed amer suggesting use of the Categories feature in the Contacts application. You can use it with Filter to limit the list to members of the Category or Categories you've selected. But if others know of a separate program that uses the Contacts database, that'd be interesting. It'd be good to have an "AND" on Categories, rather than just "OR" as at present.

  • I just paged all the way back to the second post on this forum, by junulrik, back in 2007-10-10. He/she says that it's SDHC compatible, and so can take more than 2Gb. So maybe I can open this package safely ... I'm using Sprite backup (included software on CD), and it'll be good to redirect onto card its daily save onto limited internal memory. Maybe I can load some GPS maps on, also. Where can I get these (Australia)? Some app also required?

  • Did you get an answer to this question? I've just bought a 4Gb miniSDHC for my HTC P3600i, and realised that the "HC" suffix is not actually on the shell of the unit (it just says "miniSD"). Is it possible that it'll work? Or likely/guaranteed that it won't?

  • i have htc p3600i but i want to know how and where to can i download the program that seperates the contacts into groups pls if someone knew how to download it e-mail me at [email protected] {example>> family,friends}

  • I have already bought HTCP3600i,it looks nice, but i have big problem with GPS,It takes along time to fix,I have change the rom version, but the problem still remain, anyone can help me?my email is: [email protected] ,thanks

  • the difference betwwen p3600 and p3600i, is on it's features. You can read article on

  • Hi,i am using HTC p3600 from last 18 months it's really the best windows mobile in the all world. But i want to know what is differnce between p3600 and p3600i. Mail me: [email protected]

  • how does the GPS feature work ? Is it really a direct GPS instrument like Garmin, Magellan, etc ?

  • This is the last HTC PDA to feature an IR port which is why I bought the phone. It is an excellant phone and looks beatifull too. I have had the phone for 4 Months now and still very impressed.

  • is this phone good? I want to trade my hp ipaq 612c with this phone. It's that a good opinion

  • handset is good looking like beautiful women, & even the features also, good luck, best of luck for you guys.

  • I have just gotten myself a P3600i and it's installed with MapKing. However, I find it quite difficult to use and I still have not managed to get the GPS to navigate. The MapKing feature is not part of the phone user manual. Anybody here can enlighten me on how to get the navigation working? Thanks. TKJ

  • I just bought this gadget 2 day ago.. and 1st thing i m doing is installing GPS software. I m using Mapking but my phone cannot connect to GPS. Then after reading at many forum and discussion, i try update my radio version using Olipro... now i m using radio version 1.50.707... and my phone easily connect to GPS..

  • Is it possible to project the phone screen image through a projector onto a screen for training purposes?

  • Is it possible to project the phone screen image through a projector onto a screen for training purposes?

  • Hi Paul CKK Will you give me some guidance regarding Garmin XT and mapking. My email address [email protected] Thanking you in advance

  • Thanks CKK I had problem with my phone......most of the time "disturbance" occurred. Anybody has any suggestion heading to rectification? Thanks

  • I own a black colored phone for just over a year now. Functionally very satisfactory. It however has a faulty design as the black paint over its metal shell peels off easily. The metal shell cannot be changed as it holds the components inside. Does anyone have the same problem?

  • Can you use the 4 or 8 Gb miniSDHC in the HTC P3600/P3600i?

  • Hi Red, I am no guru in using Garmin XT or MapKings GPS apps. But some members in my forum are good and they are my guide to using Garmin properly. If you are interested, you can join the forum and post your questions to them in the GPS thread (No.7) :

  • My phone had disturbance a king of hissing "off and on" like to know how to fix it TQ

  • Hi Paul CKK Will you give me some guidance regarding Garmin XT and mapking. My email address [email protected] Thanking you in advance

  • I just got this HTC P3600i a month back. Used both MapKings and Garmin XT in it with no problem. No hanging, no stalling or whatever problem but smooth sailing all the way. Based on 10 I would give this model a thumbs up and all the way 10!

  • Hi all, I am newbie here especially with GPS, How do I have to set my HTC P3600i to make it works with "Garmin Mobile XT software" Thanking you in advance Regards

  • to those having problem flashing their htc p3600i, solution is here also, try to download the SEAWWE rom version of this unit. it worked with me, originally chinese now in english.. very happy with my p3600i.. hope this helps..

  • I don't know whoever writes negative comments on this phone must be a bloody idiot, doesn't know how the phone work or doesn't own the phone at all and start bitchin on HTC! I own both the P3600i and the 1st gen P3600 and never had any problems whatsoever. Run Tomtom 6 and many other third parity software on it and they all run perfectly. Phone never ever hung on me and I've upgraded rom on the P3600, did some tweaking on both including Touch interface (i can recommend for lots of info on HTC phones). Only downside on the P3600i is that you can't upgrade it with a diffrent (cooked rom other than the official one). Never had any problems with paint peeling off, don't know what you guys doing with the phone but mine still looks as new and I have it for more than 1 year now. Looking forward to upgrade to Touch Diamond.

  • Not a good phone. Hangs all the time. Iphone wannabe. WinMo is crap.

  • I use this PDA since about 2 months. In the meanwhile the phone was exchanged as to overheating. The performance of the Media Player is useless at least as the sound reproduction stutters. The earphones are without use as well as the left ear cable is too short and the microphone clip is mounted the wrong way around this results in falling out of the earphones. The phone is otherwise nice and well manufactured, but needs revision without question. It is not a phone that is ideal for the music lover. It often freezes and is short of built in memory power. My second P3600i is again for repair as to the interrupting audio performance. Otherwise it is fine. It would be better not powered by Microsoft Mobile 6 Professional as it is anything else than Professional. Mobile Windows 2003 was more stable and had very good backup features. As always at Microsoft the latest version is often not the best, just remember Vista and compare it to XP. As a professional person I prefer XP to Vista and I prefer Mobile 2003 to Mobile 6. Better would be if htc would refrain from Microsoft altogether and would change over to Symbian OS just like the really big other manufacturers have decided on.

  • I got it from 3 Australia. I also got GPS car kit including CoPilot 7 with maps of Australia, car holder, 1 GB card. Its awesome, GPS first takes some time to connect then works perfectly fine. Making calls is so easy and intelligent. As this is my first smartphone and I liked it very much. WiFi is good supports WEP, WPA encryptions. Handwriting recognition and predictive test input is cool.

  • It's awesome!A small notebook in my pocket. The GPS is ok,i have tested IGO 2006+,IGO 8 and TomTom and all of them worked ok.Anyone know if exist a memory card for this phone with 8 GB of capacity?

  • i used to use i-mate jasjar and recently i upgrade the phone to HTC P3600i. This phone works perpectly without any problems. The disadventage will be it does not have a keypad, its bit hard for the people who is used for keypad. but i am happy with the phone. GPS works reasonalbly. Using this phone in Australia.

  • This is my first PDA and for my business use it is a brilliant tool. Full sync with MS office, Outlook emails/contacts etc is the best feature for work on the road. The GPS is fully featured and reasonably accurate (maybe need to update maps if avail)and with large acreen easy to view. Great predicitve text, and phone number searching. no complaints.

  • pls give Rs. form p3400i

  • when i had my fone it was in dutch so i don't know how to change it to english secondly there was no manual or cd for me to use in changing the language so please kindly help me.

  • what an amazing phone but I want to ask if it is working any where in the world or not. of course it must work thx, moh'd ibrahim

  • basically i want to congratulate the htc for bringing such an ultimate device in the market. the availability of this device mark a trend of design dominance, performance and style. the lack of mobile tv and analogue tv on the p3600i is not a considerable setback. hsdpa promise a reliable internet tv to complement it's features. eten has just come up with a rival m810 but p3600i is still an exception. i can't wait to lay my hand on this device.

  • i want to have this unit, if HTC want to give me, it's my pleasure, hehehehe, i was attrackted by this unit because of its features like, wifi, thanx

  • I bought this phone for 4 months. It is not cheap but I think it is worth it, I am using a 4GB memory card, my friend can use 8GB too. The GPS works well with tomtom v6. I don't need to soft boot many times, maybe I rarely install programs into the phones. The music Manager I installed (audio manager) are great. If you have a bluetooth Car audio CD, you can even connect it to your car with this phone. It is great

  • does this phone support for skype , yahoo messenger or msn messenger? My moblile carrer ( 3 mobile asutralia) says ''no''... If yes can any one help me setting up it.....

  • Guys, what exactly the differnces between htc P3600i n' P3600?in my country this type were known as dopod D810.but it's no longer exist on market.so..is this device still available on market?in singapore maybe?thanks..

  • well.. phone as it comes really suck, but if you guys use MARY 3.6 ROM it reali kick ass.. blazing fast, 3g internet modem for my laptop, skype, VoIP, etc etc all working smooth. forget iphone!

  • yes Roger, Tomtom works on the HTC P3600i very well.

  • have problem in viewing or accessing pop up windows when i surf the internet.. does anyone know how to overcome this? will b very grateful.. plz.. tq

  • THIS IS THIS SHI***EST PHONE EVER.. hangs all the time.. wifi doesn't work.. AND THE BLACK PAINT PEELS LIKE AN ONION.. .. I want my money back. HTC is goign to hear a mouth full from me.

  • I am planning to buy this phone, but i have one pretty noob question about the GPS is it a GPS receiver? like i have the TomTom6 program already, would it wotk on the P3600i? Thank you very much Roger

  • I have had the phone for a week and it has amazing features but I am having to do soft resets all the time. Not so happy because of this. Also the battery life is really bad. Hardly get 12 hours out of it (of course I am on it all the time)

  • Rechargeable Lithium-ion polymer battery Capacity: 1500 mAh Standby time: Up to 200 ~ 250 hrs for GSM, Up to 180 ~ 250 hrs for UMTS Talk time: Up to 5 hrs for GSM, Up to 4 hrs for UMTS for all people who asked about this mobile battary best regards khaled shams

  • had for 6 months, still not happy.crashes a lot . have put bigger card in has trouble with storing emails . camera pretty week. not all bad touch screen ok . can see no logic to where it stores bluetooth imsges. maybe my set up. generally disappointed. prefer my sony 810

  • The man from HK bought it for 5400HKD, and thats 471 euros! Rly nice price for this beatyfull beast! I can't find it in ebay.. In my country is avaiable only the P3600.. not the P3600i.. I see no huge differences, but owners-what do u think about these differences?? Thanks!

  • Does anyone know whether the profile feature available in P3600i? Thansk you in advance. PP

  • g'day all: I've been reading quite alot of the general comments and it's neck and neck between this model (TyTN II)& the p3600i. In your expert opinions...which model is best? Cheers JP

  • I have Tom Tom installed and it's as accurate as the Navman's so no complaints from here. Texting can be a b*tch using your fingers on the run, the display buttons should be bigger and spread out for the whole screen.

  • How is the GPS performance with this phone? Comparable to comination of smartphone+external GPS receiver ? TIA -Shyam

  • i'm using ths ph n its just gr8...features n operating is perfect 4 me...sumtyms needed 2b reset but its not a big issue those who r used2 PDA's....talktym is almost 2dayz....if u dnt use the music player or inet...with all the features activated xcept gps i used it like 9hrs without charging....really a good 1....

  • could anybody tell the battery standby and talking hours.whether the text is in english.and the cost in indian price.

  • i was wondering if anyone would know or heard that the 3600i will have it in white colored housing? just like the prev 3600?

  • Hi I have a question abou GPS. Is it a better than A-GPS or not, or it is the same? thank you in advance

  • Have had 3600 for 2 months now ,recieved GPS kit (memory card, car cradle, install cd)with purchase.GPS is as accurate as my company Navman. Great fone if pushed for a complaint it would be the inability to choose different wake up alarm times for any given day.

  • hi all i got this phone just now and is awsome very good display and alot of features the camera can need a little upgrade :P and can anyone tell me how do you open the batery case? yhanks

  • so far so good

  • Can anyone tell me that how to get the GPS software for this and how to install on it?

  • u have a very good product so I bought p3600 from france but i find the software by french so i want anther one by englsh or arabic as gift from HTC my add (57 Ebrahim Nawar st 6 area Nasr City Cairo Egypt i am waiting for u

  • is it for the european market??

  • Is their any plann to have pocket PC 3600i with dual SIM cards? I see that I-mate will apply it soon.

  • hey is this the same as the o2 atom life?

  • lol...u bought for 5400 HKD? surely expensive u got there...

  • I bought HTC p3600i when i went to the agent to install the gps software they told me this phone has no gps bilt in, I suprised! now i'm going to return it back, the specifications says ther is gps.... ???? thanks

  • I have the phone for 2 months now, great phone to use, talking on msn voice, transfer files, all e-mails at one go and surfing the web, hate the fingers prints all over, don't get black. The only disappointment.

  • Hi buddy i bought HTC p3600 last week ,unfortunately it only support FRENCH in language I want to change it to english ,so is there anyone can help me solve this problem ? [email protected] is my E-mail

  • Yeah I agree this phone is very good in all aspects, still need to make the adjustments texting without the keyboard. Installed TomTom Gps software, takes about a minute to load up but once its running, the gps is pretty accurate.

  • 5400 hkd=evro ?

  • I have one bought in hongkong for 5400 HKD. This phone is very good in almost most aspects, besides it is SDHC compatible, thus more than 2G of mini-sd card can be used. With GPS, very good screen, and very fast operation. I think faster or as fast as o2 atom life. I had atom life, but decided to switch to htc p3600i, though 1G ROM is available for atom life, but p3600i external memory can be expanded beyond 2G due to SDHC compatibility. This is a good buy for me, by the way, I have a white one.. less finger print..

  • what about battery? 1500 mAh like P3600 or bigger?
