  • how is the battery on android pie? any bugs?

  • Dude you can't compare the camera of a desire to the camera of a flagship. The U11 definetely has an awesome camera!

  • Not much fan HTC rear camera..even i am using HTC desire 10 pro..For HTC U11+, I would give it thought if price is half(than current 56K) and if rear camera is good and works better in low light/night.

  • from the htc website

  • Hello. Anyone here use Apple USB C to 3.5mm adapter @ Google USB C to 3.5mm adapter on HTC U11+? Mine lost in action so need seek for replacement

  • Google HTC Gallery APK file or try this link

  • Hello guys can anyone tell me what to do to have a gallery app on the phone as the old HTC models as it only uses google pictures :( which is not as good as the gallery app. Can anyone plz help ?

  • No one care what fan he or anyone is, as long as what's being said is totally correct and unbiased. So FO.

  • True fan!

  • Only see your negative feedbacks on HTC although you say that you owned HTC U11+. Ha ha. No, man, you are not HTC fan with those comments. You are Sam fan with reasons here.

  • Are you sure my friend if it's true very good news

  • In Turkey, Pie updating. Finally!

  • Will they upgrade this to Android 9?

  • What about selfie camera of htc u11 plus

  • For performance and battery u11 plus for camera note fe!

  • HTC U11 plus of course

  • Which one is better for the same price htc u11 plus or galaxy note fe?

  • I have a U11 plus and also a s9 plus and my s9 plus is superior in every way and yeah it's expensive but you pay for what you get and the U11 plus will hardly be supported by HTC whereas my s9 plus has constant updates and I find the UI to be superior on my s9 plus anyways and the HTC seems old and outdated to be fair. I personally would say stay away from HTC there a dieing company and get a s9 cos its simply superior.

  • S9 obviously has a better front camera for a few reasons. First, it has auto focus. Second, it has a wider lens and lastly, it can record 2K video. But at the same time, the S9 and U11+ are much different in price. At current prices locally, I can -almost- buy TWO U11+ for the price of an S9.

  • Which one has better cameras especially front one

  • Which one has better front camera u11 plus or galaxy s9

  • Does the front camera take good selfies?

  • Its an all rounder phone

  • The battery is better than galaxy s9 because I have both devices and the performance olso better than galaxy s9

  • I bought htc u11 plus after 2 months and i am happy

  • Just bought this phone new for $319 which I think is great given it's specifications. I am buying this phone knowing full well the update situation on this phone, it may get pie eventually and that's it but it so long as it works well with no gamebreaking bugs, I am largely fine with this. I have had a U11 before and wanted the U11+ for the larger battery and narrow screen but it was too expensive, now I can finally do so. Snapdragon 835 and 6GB ram will last anyone well into 2019 and beyond presuming you aren't the select few who truly push their phones to their limits. My focus is camera quality and device audio quality which this has in spades. It is sad HTC is doing as poorly as they are now, the market always needs more competition not less but given the few last years trends, there's no stopping HTC's decline and we may as well savor it while they still exist.

  • I am glad you asked I am using my phone for more than a year now never died on me trust me my friend

  • How is the battery life in htc u11 plus

  • HTC U11+ without a doubt I have been using mine since it was out no problem what so ever

  • Does htc u11 plus desirve to buy for 400 euro or which smart phone better to buy for the same price

  • It's nice that HTC finally updated the phone but one update in a year isn't acceptable at all and my s9 plus has had tons of updates compared to my U11 plus and it's also got android pie now to.

  • Which is better htc u11 plus or mate 10 pro?

  • I totally agree with you there is no difference before and after the update but it's a pretty big update (810 MB) though waiting for the PIE

  • i just received the update today. i can say its just got smooth sligthly. cos its running already smooth and i dont have a problem even without the update. all i can say its great and im happy

  • I have received my first security update last night since I have purchased this phone well done HTC

  • Guys I have just received a update just downloading it

  • It's forgotten and will never be looked at.

  • Still no update at all for this phone, absolutely pants......

  • I hate to see HTC joining Gionee

  • Htc don't give a damn about this phone and I highly doubt it will ever get updated at all, hopefully 2019 will be the year htc disappears for good like they should. My s9 plus is absolutely superior to any htc phone including my HTC u11 plus and Samsung know how to update there devices to. Bye bye htc you deserve to be outclassed by every other phone producing companies.

  • I was expecting a piece of pie on Christmas day (Sri Lanka) as a gift from HTC didn't get it I am really disappointed HTC what's going on

  • I couldn't agree more with you and htc should be absolutely ashamed of themselves with the no support for this phone and it hasn't had a single software security update whereas I have a s9 plus also which Samsung are keeping up to date all the time. Why can't you up date the U11 plus I have htc,WHY! I will never buy a htc phone again and samsung have gained a loyal customer with me now,htc you deserve the chopping block for sure.

  • I am a software engineer, something releated more than your major when it comes to to software. I presume like any other human being with the least common sense that when I pay hefty amount of money for a flagship, I expect it to have consistent support for at least two years of time keep my phone up to date and running latest security update atleast! People would have bought a mediocre or a basic phone if they thought like you and then no one cares as what you paid does not guarantee you and further OEM support. I think someone should seriously consider suing HTC for this unjustified neglect. Finally, try not to judge others because you think its right your way.

  • I am an electrical engineer and I think it is a matter of sense the first time I have used HTC phone it was HTC M8 it was really a fantastic device loved it very much it was amazing device then I moved to Samsung S7 I feel the difference I really miss my HTC Sense I was wondering whether to get HTC u11 or u12 finally I got note 9 but again I made my decision to get HTC u12 some people they were complaining about the button but I will take it now yeah I know it's electronic button but I will take it because I really love htc phones it was great in everything and I think HTC u12will not disappoint me... very fast devices never lag at all thanks HTC for all that effort

  • According to GSM Arena HTC U11 Life is getting it's pie so we are not far from it

  • Bud it's always nice to have a device thats being supported by the company who makes it hey and it's not childish bein disappointed when your phone isn't being updated when you paid all that money for it in the first place!!! HTC haven't updated my U11 plus whatsoever and it's still running a security patch from last year which isn't good enough when on the other hand my s9 plus is getting monthly security updates on a regular basis. HTC should be supporting this phone end of story ok.

  • i agree with @HopeTr, HTC produce the best android smartphone even till up to date. HTC did so well in customising the android operating system, HTC has 10 years of experience with Google Android, i have full confident in HTC. HTC, please do not place pressure sensitive technology for volume & power buttons, it is not that practical. just innovate on other technology, place into the phone I hope for a user-replaceable battery comeback flagship phone too

  • Well said

  • I am a Electronic Engineer and with pov and knowledge about technology no phone to compare with HTC yet. People here complaining about the HTC support just for update makes no sense. most of the childish and/or bored youngster. Why do you want update? to sleep well?. Since 2003 I've used many HTC phones before the smart phones (First iphone) arrives. They produced phones for differnt brands like HP, Dell and etc. In my opinion HTC is the best phone maker by far and I am sure continues many more years ahead. note: I will never let any samy device to my house and office. Waste of money.

  • Yes it does support USB on the go

  • Those the HTC U11+ is OTG support? i need to know before getting one, thanks...

  • Guys any sign of "Pie" ?

  • OnePlus 6. The phone will last longer

  • Seems HTC is in a downward spiral and unable to correct it... Google, or Qualcomm should buy HTC entirely. I think it's better that way...

  • My s9 plus got the 1st of October security patch this morning and yet my U11 plus still hasn't had a single update still at all. Wtf HTC you are a disgrace....

  • I agree my friend I hope HTC will look into this matter

  • Security updates aren't necessarily critical to buying this phone but it sucks when HTC have completely not bothered to update it at all after nearly a year. It's unacceptable I think and certainly bad customer support.

  • OP6? I personally never consider a OP device for a reason: missing microSD slot. Why not Xiaomi Pocophone instead? Cheaper, yet more useful than OP6. Between Pocophone and HTC U11+, I think you can't go wrong with either device.

  • Go for HTC U11+ you won't regret it trust me I've been using mine since it was out that was last December no lags what so ever only thing no security updates since I have purchased this phone why you need security updates when your phone performs well

  • Any help much appreciated. Should i go to Oneplus 6 or htc u11+? Need a reliable camera and a good phone..already side aside pixel 2 xl cuz already tried it, and afraid to go back cuz many problems plagued the phone.

  • Exactly my friend HTC all the way Android "Pie" is just around the corner

  • i dont need the update or patch as long it performing very good in every way. to me its a good phone. if you want you can buy another phone. my phone is second hand only and it really awsome. you cannot find a perfect phone. but this is a good phone ill keep this one

  • As you have read I have a U11 plus myself but HTC have not updated it yet with a security update which is not acceptable considering I spent my hard earned money on it and I just use it to play games on now and when it's knackered I will never buy HTC again and my main daily driver is a 256gb titanium Samsung s9 plus which is a awesome phone and far superior to my U11 plus in every possible way. You can buy a U11 plus by all means but what's the point when it's not bein supported by HTC whatsoever, its just poor support from a company which in all honesty is now dieing.

  • Thank you. And I don't really care about security updates... Still HTC usually deals with major updates quickly. I got oreo on my htc10 very soon after its release.

  • Don't touch this phone with a barge pole you get zero security updates ok and they haven't sent out anything and we are getting close to a year now. Buy something from LG or Samsung with far better support.

  • Short version: If it's genuine you will get a great deal. Long version: consider these few cons - no 3.5mm jack (HTC provides an adapter) - only single rear camera (One of the best around though) - irregular updates (it's promised to get Android 9, but no time frame has been given yet) - screen brightness is average If you are okay with that, by all means go for it.

  • Hey guys This phone is available at 369 euro near me. 128gb \ 6gb version. I think it's a great deal looking at the price of the u11 at 308 euro. What do you guys say?

  • My s9 plus got the 1st of September security update this morning whereas HTC still haven't sent out a single update for the U11 plus I have. Absolutely disgraceful HTC and you do deserve to go under and it's no wonder Samsung and other companies are wiping the floor of you.

  • I know what you mean but I am going to stick to my U11+ because all these years I have been HTC and HTC only I am going to wait see what will HTC provide us in coming months

  • Yeah I checked out your link and my phone hasn't had anything either and it's a joke to be honest and HTC won't be having any of my money now and I have gone to Samsung and to be honest my s9 plus is far superior to my HTC U11 plus anyways. I am sad to leave HTC but I can't be treated like this again when I spent all that money on one of there products which they have abandoned completely.

  • I know you frustration my friend same here as well no security since I have bought this phone but what's this is all about check this link

  • We are into September and yet there's still been no security update for my U11 plus. Wtf HTC no wonder you are a dieing company......

  • Thank you for the reply I was worried I am relieved now

  • Yes it's normal its no light bleeding its the lcd lighting up the smart screen.

  • Does anyone notice a light leak from bottom of the screen when smart display is on please respond thanks in advance

  • Guys the problem with YouTube App still persist even after the latest update

  • I am very disappointed now that my U11 plus hasn't had a security update and its still on the December 2017 security patch and I am most likely done now with HTC to be honest and it's mostly because my s9 plus blows my U11 plus out of the water in every key area for me personally and also the lack of support from HTC is simply not good enough.

  • That would be a great shame. They used to be quite good at updating, especially their flagships. Now, funding & manpower insufficiency has hit them hard. The top management has to be replaced with someone better handling such dire state ASAP.

  • Just imagine if they won't update this end of last year flagship that they squeezed your full wallet to get it! Btw, this phone is still running on December security patch! What the heck htc!!!!! Is this your test of project treble!!!!! They need to learn from Nokia devices and how this OEM keeps its word by monthly updates, despite less prices for Nokia...

  • Hello guys the YouTube's recent update (13.32.52) solved the issue which I had for almost three months

  • True let's hope good for HTC

  • My first proper smartphone was a HTC one m7 which was excellent at the time so I do have a soft spot for HTC overall but I admit HTC is goin downhill it seems which is a real shame.

  • I agree with you my friend but HTC Wildfire S was my first smartphone ever since then I am using HTC because they make quality phones I hope they will rise again let's see

  • Well, HTC are behind schedule, likely due to lack of manpower and resources. Btw, they just announced today that U12+, U11+, U11 & U11 Life (Android One version) will get Android Pie update, just there's no time frame given yet.

  • I haven't and yet my s9 plus got the August security patch last night and it had a update before that to. I feel burned a little by HTC now and with my U11 plus still on the December 2017 security patch is completely unacceptable and now I have experienced just how superior my s9 plus is to my U11 plus I don't think I could ever go back to HTC. If Samsung carry on making phones this good then HTC is finished for good.

  • Is there anyone received the latest security update?

  • I have did as you said brother still got the same problem I hope next security update might fix the problem my last security update was in last December

  • Thank you brother I will follow your instructions and will let you know the outcome

  • I think I understand what you mean and YouTube was not working properly for me at one time with my U11 plus but after YouTube updated the app a few times it became much better but it does glitch at rare times now. I would advise you update it to the latest version or uninstall all the updates and update it from scratch if you understand.

  • Thank you for the response when I come out of the landscape mode YouTube splits into two and leaves a huge gap between top and bottom parts I hope you understand

  • Just recently, Taiwan sets got June security update. The rest of the world should follow soon, hopefully.

  • Issues as in what exactly and for me YouTube works ok on my U11 plus but I use my s9 plus as my daily driver it's simply excellent. I want to know when the U11 plus will get a security software update cos mine is still on the December 2017 one and now that is completely unacceptable by HTC. HTC get your act together......

  • Guys is there anyone experiencing YouTube issue on HTC u11+ or it's only me please response thanks in advance

  • U11+ for its Edge Sense & Edge Launcher, BoomSound & USonic, even more so if you can get the Translucent Black one.

  • I want to buy this phone cause it is now under 400 euros but Im in doubt between this one and sony xz2 . which one do you recomand me?

  • Do the phone for hard use

  • I have been using the U11 plus for just over two months now and its a excellent phone except that the screen brightness is not brilliant in very bright sunshine but for indoors or overcast days it's fine. Yeah also it should have been updated by now to the latest security patch but it's not necessarily a deal breaker.

  • After a nearly six months of search I finally got HTC U11+ in singapore, HTC U11+ simply Awesome yet "Most under rated mobile 2018" Pros Camera 12.2 /8.0Mp Speakers, u sonic head sets Display 537ppi Battery 3930 mah( Biggest in any flagship smart phone) Sd 835 Cons No regular security updates still Dec 2017 Bezels(may reduce a little bit)

  • Third-party app for U11's Edge Sense. Not sure whether it will work with U11+.

  • Not having the latest software updates doesn't bother me that much and I just want a reliable dependable well built phone and htc knows how to build a phone that lasts I think so I can live with late software updates. And of all the htc flagships I have had which has been alot only the one m9 I had became faulty when it's vibration motor failed but htc had it repaired and back to me in less than a week so I was very happy with that.

  • Yes I did and all I got is that I have last update installed (December patch) and to keep checking settings to view any recent updates. Standard cleshay. Amazing hardware running on dated software. Sadly this is HTC flagship devices. So disappointing!

  • Have you, or anyone else, contacted HTC to enquire about updates??

  • Can "Edge sense 2 on U12+" be updated into U11+? I'm not sure whether edge sense is related to hardware or software.

  • The U11 plus is a expensive phone to be fair but I think it's far better value for money than the stupid u12 plus with only 64gb of storage. I am very happy with my U11 plus I think it's one of the best htc phones I have ever had and if I thought it wasn't worth the money I would absolutely say so.

  • I paid hefty amount of money for a phone that’s being outdated since six months. Major major mistake I did. No more HTC phones for me. This company has no clear strategy, thus customers should find better alternatives.

  • Wait! So you saying HTC U11+ is better I was thinking the same thing as well thank you for opinion brother

  • Really appreciate your reply i take your word and will go for U11 thank you

  • The thing is, HTC can't market, because they just don't have the cash anymore.

  • I forgot to say earlier though that I also got the U11 plus because the massive bezels on the Normal u11 look horrible compared to the latest phones and when I put the U11 next to my g6 it looked so outdated whereas my U11 plus looks alot more current.

  • The screen on time with the U11 plus is abit better than the U11 but not by much but I can usually always get threw a day without any problems. I am a moderate to heavy user I am always on the phone.

  • Hi, how do you compare the battery life of U11 and U11 Plus? Their respective screen-on time?? TIA

  • I have had the U11 and now I have the U11 plus and I would say go for the U11 if you want a good bright screen in sunlight because the brightness is better on the U11 in bright sunlight compared to the U11 plus but I would recommend the plus model myself because the brightness thing isn't a deal breaker. The U11 plus is a beast of a phone and I certainly won't be dropping down in storage and buying the u12 plus with only 64gb of storage.

  • No update to android 8.1 since December. The worst company ever. It almost June.

  • So are you using HTC U11+ at the moment? If you do you think it's better than U11 because I am thinking to upgrade my HTC U Ultra to either U11 or U11+ please reply when ever you can thanks

  • I have been watching hands on videos of the htc u12 plus and I personally wouldn't bother with it at all right now because you can save a ton of money and buy a u11 plus which is just about the same phone really. The u12 plus is just a tarted up u11 plus I think.

  • U12+ should have 6GB RAM, SD 845, and dual cameras both on the rear and the front. Battery size will be less big at 3500 mAh, but the battery life need real life testing.

  • The specs are not lowered on U12+ compared to U11+.. Where did you get this false info from?

  • @Mr Grey - But thats my point. The spec is different. The 12+ will have 3gb ram and run an old chipset. If you blind compared the 12+ and 11+ you’d go for the 11+ all day long. I am just very confused why they would do this.

  • From what I can tell with the specs of the u12 plus you would be far better getting a u11 plus and save yourself a ton of money because the u12 plus will be very expensive and it's virtually the same as the U11 plus anyways.

  • Very confused here. I need a new phone and HTC is the only way to go. U11+ seems to offer a lot more punch than the 12+ coming out on 23rd May. What is the point in bringing out a new 12+ and reducing the spec considerably? What say you clever folk??

  • The Snapdragon 835 SoC has been OVERCLOCKED which will drain the battery faster, but will make the phone faster.

  • It's because the Snapdragon 835 Soc is OVERCLOCKED which means that is will be slightly faster but it will produce more heat. This has been done with the ZTE Nubia Red Magic as well.

  • Every mobile phone get hot on games

  • Hey guys, a little help please. I just bought a brand new u11+ yesterday (11th may). But why is it that my phone gets really hot when i play games like Rules Of Survival ? Like damn...it's a freaking new phone and yet it gets super hot. At the time when i was playing, it was night time.

  • Just a update on using the U11 plus seeing as how I have had it a while now and its my daily driver and for me personally it's the perfect htc smartphone apart from one issue which is not a deal breaker but it could be better.... The screen brightness in bright sunlight is not the best at all but you can manage with it but when I'm in the house or its a dull day then the brightness on full is ok but for some people they could be disappointed with it but other than that the U11 plus is simply brilliant :)

  • so basically gsmarena is telling us, htc u11 with 3000 mah battery and htc u 11+ nearly 4000 mah battery last us same? both 73 hours endurance

  • I totally agree with you on this point. They should advertise U12 a lot to make it a success for their company. A lot of people still don't know about Htc. TBH, I didn't even know Htc till their best One M7 came out and broke all the records for being the most beautiful smartphone htc has ever produced. Haha ;) ... They need to make a lot of local phone shops , bill boards and advertise hell a lot like other companies do, so they can make a good profit, and their smartphones and upcoming U12+ can get a good response that it deserves. (Im so glad to see the U12 leaked bdw). hehe :)

  • The htc u12 plus looks very nice indeed :) but I admit even if it came out tomorrow I wouldn't buy it at first cause I know that htc phones in a few months drop massively in price because no one buys them no matter what specs they have cause everyone who walks into your local phone shop is directed to samsung straight away. I have seen Samsung and Huawei advertised on TV in the UK but never htc,htc must advertise so the masses know of them.

  • Htc U12+ leaks are out now!!! Go check it out... Your welcome ;)

  • I don't care getting early major update if htc won't send crucial security update. Having late updates on a phone that's top of the line and super expensive is bad bad strategy.

  • meanwhile all htc flagships will get android P 6 months before any Samsung flagship gets it.

  • My dearest knowledgeable enthusiasts. Plus GSMArena review it could be the best of 2018 but without that ugliest hybrid, plus audio Jack ,infrared .radio +RDS ,4100mah battery and OTG but alas that good HTC underestimated people being smarter and in front of many whom don't consider people's talents that search at least 20 places to find the best complete smartphones....Why !!!? Justice Rights unbiasedly for both people and brands following moral guidelines....Thanks...all.

  • I agree that the screen brightness is fine but it could be better in sunlight but you can get by with it but it's definitely something which could have been better for sure. Up to now I am still extremely impressed with my U11 plus and to be fair I thought I would always have on the always on display but I have found that I simply only need it to come on when I move the phone as it has the notification light unlike my lg g6 which doesn't so overall I rely on the notification light if I glance at the phone for example. I do think the U11 plus is one of the best htc phones I have ever had and I have had alot of htc phones over the years which have been the following up to now,Htc one m7,m8,m9,htc 10,u11 and now u11 plus. You can't go wrong with this phone I think and it's definitely worth a purchase and to be honest if I thought it was cr@p I would say so.

  • Meanwhile Galaxy S9 just received April security patch. Shame on you HTC!!!!!!

  • They are busy with the upcoming flagship Htc U12+. So, Ain't No body got time for that (Security) !!! Haha ;)

  • Guys whats up with the updates??? why arent we receiving any update post to December security patch? where is project treble, where is HTC?!!!!!!

  • Screen brightness is fine, but not good as Samsung's Super Amoled screens am afraid during sunlight. Sometimes I need to remove my sunglasses to see whats going on the screen. luckily am not working on the field :D

  • You made a good choice and I have had the htc 10 at one time also so I know you have done a definite upgrade with the U11 plus. I have been using the U11 plus for a week now and its excellent :)

  • I just ordered the U11+ today. I wanted to wait for the 12, but since it's now cheaper than getting the regular U11 here in the states, I decided jump on that since my HTC 10 is on life support and i have to keep it hooked up to a power bank. From what I've seen it looks like a great phone.

  • What aboutscreen brightens underdirect sunlight

  • I was Samsung user for a couple of years since Galaxy S3 through S4, S5, Note5 and S8, I must admit i've no regrets moving to HTC. U11+ is a beast in a good way. Screen 8 Battery 9 Camera 9 Speakers 10 HTC Sense UI 10 Highly recommended!!

  • Wow.. Great Review Mr. Grey :)

  • With using my U11 plus for a few days now I thought I'd post my thoughts on it to help any of you who are thinking of buying it and I have been putting it threw its paces and I am a heavy user also and I hope this helps you out... Display etc. I have found the display to be excellent in that it's crisp and clear and overall excellent to look at with good colour balance but I admit in direct sunlight it's dull and not as bright even on full as my g6 or my friends note 8 and s8 but you can manage with it but indoors it is excellent though as its easily bright enough and at nighttime I have to lower the brightness as it can get too bright but it is not as good as my normal U11 for brightness also but the outside thing isn't a big deal on overcast days but in sunlight it's not ideal. Battery life. Battery life is excellent and I can get threw a full day easily and I would say its better than the normal U11 but not by much as such but I haven't struggled to get threw today for example so overall its excellent with plenty of screen on time indeed. Speakers volume. The speakers on the phone are extremely loud to the point you can feel the sound travelling threw the phone and they are tons louder than the normal U11 and listening to music or watching videos is a pleasure indeed and the headphones are also really excellent to so overall its definitely got the classic HTC sound goodness. Call quality and signal strength. For me the call quality is excellent and extremely clear so I haven't any issues there and I also sound great on the other side to so that's really good overall and I always have good signal strength wherever I am but I found the normal U11 to have great signal strength to. Speed overall. The phone runs extremely fast with no slowdowns or hiccups and I haven't had a single lock up or restart and installing apps is fluid and fast also and overall the phone runs any task with no difficulty at all. Build quality. As usual the phone has that excellent HTC build quality where it feels well built and sturdy and it shines with that excellent quality finish and its a joy to look at and own but it definitely needs a case as the phone is unbelievably slippery so I recommend you get a case for it asap. Storage. I haven't even come close whatsoever to using all the available space on the phone and I doubt I ever will do so for me it's more than enough to be fair. Camera. The camera is excellent with great looking photos in all lights and night time pictures aren't too bad either to be fair and its plenty fast I think to but I admit I don't bother with the selfie camera but it does the job but the main camera itself is excellent and its pretty much the same as the normal U11. Bluetooth and WiFi. WiFi reception is great and works for me with no issues at all connecting to my network and at work also so I think overall wifi works well and Bluetooth range is excellent as I have my U11 plus connected to a Samsung gear S3 watch and it hasnt lost connection to the phone anywhere in the house and also if I go in the garden the watch doesn't lose connection to the phone also outside so Bluetooth works great. I can't think of anything else to say regarding the U11 plus but I hope the above helps anyone looking to buy it and I do recommend it but the only thing that let's it down is the display brightness in bright sunlight but it's not a huge deal as such but it could be a issue for some people.

  • Thats a great battery life for U11+ if you can get through a day without having to recharge it again in a single day. Plus 28% still left. Thats a good start for it n Im glad to hear that. I would love to buy it as well. I hope you are enjoying your new Htc U11+ ... haha .. Take Care Buddy :)

  • The u12 plus will be a good phone I think and today with my U11 plus I have been using it since very early this morning and it's lasted all day with no problems at all and I currently have a screen on time of 6 hours with 28% battery left and I reckon with what's remaining I could get altogether probably about 7 and half hours to 8 screen on time. Either way it hasn't been hard to get threw today at all :)

  • Thats alright if you don't have.. Lol This website is good enough to share opinions n short review of phones ;) ... Regarding the U12+, you are right it will be very expensive as usual, but so far the U12+ looks very promising with the leaks and renders though. That's why i am just keeping an eye on it. Hope to see a good leak soon or an announcement from Htc. (Always take so long for their flagships) haha :)

  • Nah I don't have a YouTube channel but I do visit this website alot and I offer my opinions on the phones I have had which has been alot lol and I understand you waiting for the u12 plus and I find that new htc phones are usually priced too high but when time passes they plummet in price because no one really buys them. I bet the u12 plus will be priced too high as usual.

  • Im really happy to hear that man. Hope you will love it more as you spend more time with it. I really want to buy the U11+ but still can't, coz the U12+ is so close to release now, Yet still have no official announcement from HTC. Lol Do you have any youtube channel or any source where you upload Pictures/Videos of Tech , I really want to see your phone and videos that you would take from U11+? (You can say a U11+ short review) haha ;)

  • Yeah my U11 plus is shiny lol :) and the black colour shines with a silver tint it's beautiful to look at and battery life is so far pretty good to be fair and I reckon it could possibly beat my normal U11 once the battery has settled down. As for the camera it seems as good as the normal U11 to be fair with excellent picture quality and very fast speed when taking pictures and I can't really find anything to complain about with it but time will tell. The only thing I can say which is a little bit not great with my U11 plus is that the screen is not quite as bright and easy to see than my normal U11 in very bright sunlight and I would say that I do wish it was as bright as the normal U11 and I wouldn't say its a struggle to see the screen but it does take some getting use to but it could better I admit. I wouldn't say it's a dealer breaker to buy this phone but something to keep in mind if you are interested in it but I can live with it to be fair.

  • Wow Congratulation man... Im really happy that you liked the U11+. Must be really shinny though! ;) haha ... Yea n do share your thoughts on Camera and Battery later on as you get to experience more of it. I really wanted to buy this phone in Amazing Silver colour, (I wish if they had Sapphire Blue for the + version as well) but since its already time for U12+ so i thought lets just wait more and see what the new U12 brings out! Can't wait for it already, No wonder why are they taking so much time to release it! Its like already half a year gone by. LOL ;)

  • My U11 plus arrived today and it was a really nice experience unboxing it for the first time and I have to say its a beast it feels heavy but reassuringly well built with a gorgeous big screen and excellent viewing angles and the brightness to me seems excellent and as good as my normal u11 which I am now gona sell but the U11 plus is definitely a upgrade and I am extremely happy with it. I will see how it goes as I use it but it absolutely flies with anything I ask it to do and the sound volume does seem better than the normal u11 for sure and battery life seems really good but I know the battery needs to settle from new in the days ahead so I will see how it goes. So far I am extremely impressed with it :)

  • When is U11+ release date ?

  • Awesome, Please do share your experience with the U11+, especially the Camera and the Battery of it as compared to U11!!! Nice to talk to you after a long time though :)

  • Yeah UK n sure I remember you now :) and I was gona wait for the u12 also but with the price drop of the U11 plus I thought it was worth it to be fair to buy the phone now because I think the U11 plus is good value for money and substantially cheaper than the samsung s9 plus.

  • Wow. You are so lucky bro. I really wana buy U11+ too but i might just wait for U12+. Its going to release soon. You are from UK right? Im ADI with Htc 10 Gold. You remember me :)

  • Yeah I am looking forward to getting it and I ordered it from htc themselves because its dropped in price now and its gona be the standard black colour which I think looks cool :)

  • Hey, Im glad for you. Where did u order it from, (like website)? n which colour did you choose? :)

  • Ordered a u11 plus today I can't wait to see how it performs compared to my normal u11 :)

  • I am planning to buy HTCU 11+. How is the phone?Does it have any software flaws? And how is the visibility out doors? Dwight

  • My pleasure. Yeah it is always on display. HTC uses smart display naming.

  • Nice, thank you. It's an always-on feature then.

  • Clock and info screen that shows up when screen is off. The issue with this screen on this phone and all LCD screen phones that it powers on the entire display, even the black area, whereas on AMOLED screens only area of clock is powered on. This results in huge power consumption for LCDs and less power for the AMOLED.

  • What is Smart Display?

  • Much faster.

  • I can explain. HTC U11 plus is faster then S9 plus

  • Switch off smart display. This should save you plenty of juice.

  • How can u compare S9+(2018) with HTC U11+(2017)? Can someone explain me? And stop "No 3.5mm JACK" and etc. Its better without 3.5 mm jack. Better quality and respectively better sound.

  • S9 battery and standby time sucks according to reviews, on both SD 845 and Exynos. So that's a no.

  • I rather choose samsung s9 over u11+ & lgv30. S9 has infinity display(amoled) + jack + stereo speaker + dolby atmos. U11+ is good but no earphone jack is Zzz. Yes nowadays bluetooth headphone has high quality sound but that wireless need to be charge. V30 also good but certain model got screen issue P-OLED display. No stereo speaker Zzz but has QUAD DAC which is undefeat by others. The optimization on LG was the worst among flagships even using SD835. To far behind when i compare to other flagship that using same chipset.

  • bring back the irblaster

  • It would be nice if it's not this poor design and it looks like the plain phone with nothing.

  • Can be easily seen in sunlight. No issues here.

  • Can you see the screen in the sun with 100% brightness?

  • I'm not looking to get last year's Note or S phone. I don't like the placement of the fingerprint scanner, so that's a no.

  • you can get note 8 on local gumtree sale for the same price and that is what i did or s8 even cheaper...

  • I'm using the Htc u 11 plus and would recommend the battery life if you get the speaker sound get the headphone sound perfect.

  • Honest opinions, please. I have a Nexus 6P, but I want to upgrade. Which phone has the better sound with a good (not cheap) earphones, LG V30, or the U11+? I was going to wait for the U12+, but it has a much smaller battery, so I can't buy that phone. Can you see the screen in the sun at 100% brightness, or do I have to find a shade? I don't play games or use the camera a lot. I only talk, text, listen to my music, watch YouTube and forums. I need good standby time, because I'm mostly on Wi-Fi. What kind of battery life can I get with this phone? How much battery do you lose during the night? I'm worried because this phone has LCD instead of AMOLED, which is not good for battery life. :(

  • U11 plus is legend phone of 2017.

  • I bought this handset on 8 Mar and I am using this now but I don't found this feature on SIM 2 that's why I wrote a comment.

  • There are 4g on both lines, if you choose which line from the double line settings you get 4g on it, please do not comment on those who do not use. The only downside is battery htc need to update battery.

  • There is no 4G on SIM-2, it makes problem when we switch data two SIM-2 and problem when you have a Jio SIM you have to insert it into the SIM slot-1 only. I have a Galaxy Note 8 which has LTE facility on both SIMs so that we can easily switch over to any SIM.

  • So you are not satisfied with lg v30?? We are vice versa i came from lg g6 and at present im using htc u11+...the boomy sound is different from lg g6... The only problem is that im not familiar yet with the phone if we are just in the same country maybe we can switched our phone.. Hehe..

  • I read your comments and I'd suggest you check out the PlayerPro music player and it's optional DSP pack may give you the tuning that you require to get the bombastic bass you desire. I can't imagine not having a V30+ or newer yet to be released with even better DAC's installed to arrive!

  • I used Desire, Sensation XE, OneX, HTC 10 before. HTC U11+ sound output is the best all time. The earphone in the box is also very good quality. I advise.

  • I used note8 and iphonex. both had average battery. finally i switched to u11+ i am amazed. 6gb RAM wow Battery size wow screen size wow sound quality wow in sunlight the brightness is bit compromised which does not boather me. its fast with wow camera. i dont mind the size i dont mind if it does not have wireless charger support its too good all in all fast charges. holds up good to my daily use too

  • I switched from htc one m8 to LG V30+...Im not an audiophile but I love music...i mostly used sony xtra bass Bluetooth headset with my htc one m8 and it used to produce the real boomy bassy very clear output...im really disappointed about the sound quality of LG V30+ through wired as well as in Bluetooth headset...may be it is giving a detailed sound output instead of bass specific phones like htc's boomsound...now I want to switch to htc again since I like only the boombastic effect...but I'm not sure that whether the new phones like htc u11 or htc u11+ produce same bassy boomsound output through headphones or not...pls help me to buy the apt phone...i have already spent on LG v30...so is it htc u11 or u11+ or even I can get htc one m8 in eBay if I don't have a choice...

  • Can't. I use it for office stuff 😁

  • Still can't hit more than 5hrs haha...still happy with my phone though 😁

  • XZ Premuim has overheating, apps crashes and shitty camera. To be honest, this crap does not compare to U11+ in terms of performance, reliability and camera. Even sound, it's much better in both HTC's speakers and active noise cancelling headphones.

  • HTC was bought by Google. It's should be stronger than ever now.

  • Just let Boost+ app manage apps running in the background and give your phone over a week for charging and discharging (if it's still new) for calibration then you can easily hit 7 hours of SOT.

  • btw htc u11+ in 2018 worth it? because htc is dying.

  • Sony and HTC will not regret taking two of the best Androids in both

  • XZ2 and HTC U11+? Which is better anyways? SD835 or SD845? Or thickness and heavy? Oh and do I really need SD845 in THIS YEAR? So should I buy SD835 in THIS YEAR?

  • just remove viber and all ur problems will be fixed , actually viber keeps uploading ur data so thats why ur battery is only 5hr stays , mine 2 days with normal use

  • Why this handset is not available in Indian mobile shops

  • will it work with t-mobile 4g lte?

  • Okay. Now compare to Sony Xperia XZ Premium more deeper. I'm actually musician producer. Sometimes I play games too in max settings. So what should I use for my daily driver? In speaker, specifications, display, music quality, equalizer, FLAC, Build quality, Beautiful of color. Headphone jack is not important for this comparison.

  • The HTC U11+ is my 11th HTC phone with iPhones in between etc. Very few devices please and satisfies more than a new quality HTC. I am never disappointed. Such quality, should be rated as one of the leading phones in the world.

  • HTC U11+ is the one you need to go!

  • You can live with it!!! I'm a huge fan of HTC for a long long time, however when I pay decent money on a flagship phone I won't accept "you can live with it", the most important factors in a cell phone is screen and battery, both of them seems to be weak on the u11+, really disappointing from HTC

  • i would recommend HTC U11 Plus, but it depends if you want less bezels or more bezels ;)

  • Should I buy Sony Xperia XZ Premium or HTC U11+?

  • All facebook apps too much drain battery. there is no other reason.

  • How do you get 7+ SOT? My best is almost 5hrs with my U11+. No games. Just FB, Viber, FB Messenger, messages, and a few calls.

  • Completely agree..

  • If you use the Google chrome it takes alot of the battery try to use Firefox on it better the chrome

  • If htc used amoled panel then this would be the world's best phone

  • Not outstanding. Good enough but not the best in this.

  • Couldn’t agree more.

  • Hello, first of all say that I am using the google translator, since I am from Argentina and my English level is not the best. I have HTC u11 + 2 weeks ago. I will only comment on the two most controversial issues. 1- The brightness is decent, but outdoors with a lot of sun is a little complicated and you have to put the brightness to the maximum. It could be better. Indoors I use the terminal with half the brightness and even a little less, and it looks perfectly. In short, the problem is outdoors but you can live with it. 2- Regarding the battery, the first days I made 8-9 hours of screen. After updating the smartphone the performance of the battery suffered a decline and I started to give only 6-7 hours of screen. But with the passing of days began to improve the autonomy and in the last two full loads I could get 8 and 9 hours of screen. I hope my comment will be helpful. regards

  • agree

  • ..... Samsung and LG are following suit for having stereo speakers on their next flagship. Now, who is copying who? I don't understand why some HTC critics are having hard time accepting the fact that some major innovations on smartphones was made by HTC.

  • please prove it

  • I was a die hard fan of htc .....htc one x , htc one x + , htc one m7 , htc one m8 (the beast) , one m9 plus these were the world class phones released by htc ..these phones were so premium that..without thinking i would or any one would like to spent 1000$ on them....i have used all htc phones till htc m9 plus.....i was really disappointed after seeing next htc phones such as htc 10 , htc u11 & u11+ ..these fones were worst in term of designs...even the Chinese company one plus is making better designs....according to me what were the mistakes done by htc -: 1) they remove the front logo of htc from screen (this was the worst thing htc has done ) Now i would tell you why Htc is one of the oldest brand ...it was the first competitor of all brands such as iphone samsung .....they removed there logo from front and now no one could know that you have a htc brand ..they just got mixed with other Chinese smartphones..which really dont have any value..htc brand has it own value known for its class..plz dont spoil its name 2) plz bring back the old blush metal design..that was awesome..makes phone really very premium and luxurious (y) And also bring back the headphone jack

  • How do you find the screen brightness of the U11 plus on a sunny day or outside, can you easily see the screen,? I have a normal u11 and I find the screen brightness to be exceptional in sunny weather but I am interested in the U11 plus but the screen brightness thing is putting me off I admit buying it at the moment.

  • I easily got 7 hours of screen on time on my U11+ and I can prove it with screenshots. I really wonder what method does GSMArena use for testing and where they get their numbers from.

  • I was using this phone since 3 weeks. The phone is perfect and the battery is lasting three days when put on saving mode. I didn't feel much difference between saving mode and normal mode. The sound with earplug is superb. The phone seem to me is outstanding.

  • I get easy 7 hours of screen on time on my U11+. I highly doubt testings made over here.

  • I saw, but I believe in my eyes, not in some paid scribes!

  • Lol GSMARENA just released the latest retesting hours ago and the battery is still bad and of course the screen brightness is still the same even lower than the first one.

  • You are right, the photos taken by Mate 10 and U11+ are already on youtube, I watched the comparison and in almost case I see U11+ wins for sure. And there is one thing that Mate 10 doesnt have but U11+ does have, it's DT2W feature (double tap to wake up screen), I really miss this function in Mate 9 and this is the only reason that makes me stay away from the beast Mate 10. Overall in my opinion, U11+ is better in user' experience and its features.

  • Not usable for you, but huge added value for me. I can easily get one of the best audio production made on a phone. U11+ is the king.

  • That's right. It's not accurate over here. This phone can easily reach 5 to 6 hours of screen on time, just like any top perfomer.

  • Ok 3d sound on picters thats its not useble whatever im verry satisfied of mate 10 but this days every phone its good, you will make no wrong choise the point its they make phones we give them the money but the difrents from old to tje new phone are soo minimal that we dont need to replace old with the new series phones

  • The GSM Arena Your battery test is not up to date - the battery on your phone is much better than what you wrote!

  • Not entirely accurate. The Mate 10 pro camera tends to over expose and has issues sometimes in focusing to close objects. U11+ is more accurate shooter and colors are closer to reality. Additionally, U11+ offers 3D sound and high resolution sound recording. U11+ has better water and dust resistance rating IP68 vs IP67 in Mate 10 Pro. Finally, this one has better vanilla UI, closer to stock and more reliable than huge customization on the Huawei.

  • Just take mate 10 pro have everyting. Much better camera, battery is unique DAY AND A HALF and its fast verry fast no problem for 2 monts

  • With the U11+ you’re gonna have: 1 - Better screen 2 - IP68 water proofing 3 - Better cameras (no bokeh feature though) 4 - Faster up to date processor 5 - More RAM (In case of 6GB RAM variant) Battery can reach you to a full day of heavy use, and sun readbility is okay, not top notch, but okay. If you stayed with the Mate 9: You still have big screen, reasonable speed, good processor, reasonable camera, a headphone jack (missing feature in the U11+), you also have stereo speaker. I say stay, not that massive difference.

  • Is it worth upgrading from Mate 9 to U11+? How about the camera quality and battery? And the screen brightness, is it able to see under sunlight? Thanks and have a nice day!

  • Go for the thc bro. It's the best phone you can get right now

  • as i read your comment. but as in review the net browsing battery backup is just average.

  • Me I'm really enjoying this phone. I just noticed one annoying thing. I experience some Lens Flare. I heard that the Pixel phones received an update to counter this. I surely hope the htc u11+ will receive it too. Outside of that, it's the best phone for it's price.

  • I hope so too. Let's just wait for what they would offer in the market this year. Cheers :)

  • I bought my HTC U11 Plus last January 20, 2018 and it's a great phone especially the Edge Sense very useful and not simple as gimmicky as others would say. Most of all battery life is great. Had it recharged last Saturday at 90% only and wifi-on at home for around 6 hours straight and always-on data when outside and still have 28% juice at 5PM today Monday, January 29, 2018.

  • If people don't them, Samsung should be stupid to include them, The AKG headphones are pure garbage, I already tried them. Just because Samsung owns them doesn't mean they're good.

  • Can't agree more. Hope they can raise the bar even higher with the upcoming U12.

  • I don't no why all this phone didn't reach to now with all this technology reach to when you delete something you have something call hem recycle bin see you delete photo o file to get her again without use this backup Google because is more easy to who use his or her phone I wish company be have more option easy to customers from this very small problem

  • Honestly, this are almost all the reasons why HTC U11+ is the best phone there is right now not to mention, one of the most beautiful back design of phone history. Some disappointments would be the lack of a headphone jack and only a decent screen. Hope they opted to OLED with this one. Anyways, I love the phone and for me, it's in the top three on my list together with the Pixel 2 XL and the Mate 10 Pro.

  • Sorry, U11+ is faster and easy on what ur mention earlier..

  • Oh yea... I agree with you. Totally forgot about it. Thanks ;)

  • You are right. They should take care and calibrate the screen because the colors are not accurate and the white is reddish compared to other phones

  • Please make phones with metal back panel as a choice.

  • no dear. the first one was sharp aquos with bezelless design not Lg

  • Will you two please stop it. You are both behaving like children. It make for amusing reading but really it is utterly pointless. Nobody cares.

  • What we know is that, LG is the first one to introduce bezel less design ;)

  • Ok, you are trolling, a person must be blind not to see how much bigger bezels G6 has when compared to S8. And no, G6 didn't had nearly as good sales as S8. And as last, you said LG set the trend, and you can't set a trend with crappy phone which has bad sales.

  • Lol... No its not. Only the bottom one is a bit bigger coz of "LG Logo" .... n LG did sell good, But our point was who is the first one to introduce this trend and that was LG ... :)

  • Still wrong... no matter how you try to rationalize it - product that doesn't sell can't set trend. And G6 has huge bezels when compared to S8.

  • Hi everyone, May I have some opinions on whether to choose HTC U11+ or LG V30+? My first criteria will be the camera, I shoot mostly at low light. I know U11+ does better in this but am attracted by the wide angle lens too. Is the wide angle lens really useful? Secondly I would like to hear about the audio quality from both phones. I have a middle range headphone to listen to music (but not always). Other than that, I normally do not use an earpiece. Any suggestion for this? Is the HTC's speakers quality much better than LG's?

  • Woohoo! See, point is valid that G6 was the 1 one to start this trend, n you had to accept it. thats it! n Off course people loved the G6 coz of its bezel less design. This trend would have definitely continued for the rest of 2017, even without the S8. LOL ;) N Yup i am ... You are right! We have to be like this for people like you who cant accept the truth... Lol ;)

  • This past week saw many sites published their reviews of U11 Plus, about 5-6 of them. Google search and check them out, guys. ;-)

  • U11 plus nice phone, but dim screen and it does has reddish tint even though it’s annIPS LCD same as Super Amoled desgin kinda boring compare to iPhone X and note 8 even to one plus 5T. Used both u11 plus 128gb, 6 gig of ram and note 8 Exyonse 8895 64GB didn’t noticed that much of performance different note 8 even better when it comes touch screen responsive and keyboard to be honest, Note 8 overall better phone than u11 Plus and I’m not even a Samsung fan boy.

  • It was first one to do do it, but if there wasn't S8 it would never become a trend. Google the sales of G6 when compared to S8 while you are at Googling ;) Some people are amazingly stubborn LOL

  • Go for the U11+ if you don’t need an s-pen. I have a Note8 because of the s-pen, otherwise better go for the U11+.

  • Well, what do you want from your future phone? What features matter most to you? And what feature (or lack of it) could be the deal breaker for you? Also, what's your current phone?

  • Well... off course they don't know what a G6 is but they do know what a LG G6 is. Haha... No one knows whats the S8. Until u tell them S8 a new Samsung phone. So, ur point is invalid "S8 user" Lol ;) ... Google has a history of Lg g6 that its the 1st phone launched with 18:9 ratio. Check Mate :)

  • Well... They are not bad either. but i love U11 Plus so much.... I still have my HTC 10 as my daily driver ;)

  • Well... off course they don't know what a G6 is but they do know what an LG G6 is. Haha... No one knows whats the S8. Until u tell them S8 a new Samsung phone. So, ur point is invalid "S8 user" Lol ;) ... Google has a history of Lg g6 that its the 1st phone launched with 18:9 ratio. Check Mate

  • Guys i need suggestions htc u11 plus or note 8

  • Both S8 and G6 are boring,, so I will stick with my HTC U11+,, powerful performance, good battery life and superb camera..

  • Nope, ask any person on the street and they will ask: "G - what?" or: "G6? doesn't 5G need to go out first? Isn't 4G enough?" or even: "G6? Is that a car? Maybe an engine?"

  • Oh, off course it will set a trend. It will be in history that G6 was launched before S8, so introduced the trend. ... First is always first lol :)

  • Well... S9 will have stereo speakers, and about S8.... how often do people use the speakers? I can't remember last time I used mine. Speakers are useful only to the guy in the train/bus or other place who annoys everything else by playing crappy music out loud and is sometimes asked to leave by security or other people... Atleast, S8 gives you nice AKG headphones in the box :) - and a headphone jack ;)

  • Product that's not popular can't set a trend... just comparing G6 and S8 sales says it everything...

  • HTC u11+ received week ago, as always (my 12th HTC) the best. Such a great brand, should be as always one of the best available phones. So satisfied.

  • That is from just one review. Many other reviews find out otherwise. It feels like them against the rest of the world.

  • Lol dude, It doesn't matter whoever has the G6 or not. Our point was that 18:9 Aspect ratio trend was first started by G6 not the S8. n i don't need to repeat but u r not ready to accept. Thats the truth. LOLOL :)

  • HTC U11+ is beautiful but I prefer the U11 liquid surface especially the front glass which is rounded so nicely to the sides. Still a beautiful phone. U11 and U11+, G6, Mate 10 Pro, V30, great and beautiful phones.

  • Yeah sure, when the S8 gets stereo speakers, im guessing thats also first done by S8..lol go home

  • Thanks! Although many people are saying that I should just wait for the u12 since it's around the corner... I am torn.

  • I am aware of that result. However, it seems only GSM Arena gets such dismal result, while many other reviews find out otherwise. Moreover, a few owners who have commented here never mentioned bad battery life. I don't know what went wrong with GSM Arena's review unit though.

  • Keep repeating it and you might actually start to think it's the truth. If you don't already. But we all know that rarley anyone has LG G6...

  • Im mostly aggree with u, but 1 thing, just ONE. big battery and 67h endurance rating? It's like my old S4 active...

  • Well, the fact is a fact, LG started the trend. I don't know about your country.. I have seen many with G6 and V30 .... N yup, LG will stay 1st, Everyone else followed the Path 😊 ...

  • Unless the lack of 3.5mm jack* is a deal breaker for you, I think you can't go wrong with this one. Flagship chipset, check Android Oreo, check IP68, check Big battery, check Great camera, check Trendy 18:9 screen, check 128GB UFS2.1 storage & 6GB RAM, check Great audio prowess (BoomSound), check Reasonably priced unlike a few $1000 something devices. *USonic earbud with active noise-canceling feature and DAC adapter come bundled in.

  • LOL if you are so ignorant that you really want to believe that - I'll let you be. But the fact is... I don't remember I ever saw someone with G6. And I found out about G6 much later than about S8. So I guess meaning of word "everyone" is quite different for the 2 of us. ;)

  • Yea, bro, everybody knows about LG G6 .. Lol . G6 will always be the 1st one to start this trend :) no matter if its popular or not in ur country ... But i am an HTC's fan. Currently in love with Htc U11 Plus, thats a wonderful device from HTC :)

  • Yea, bro, everybody knows about LG G6 .. Lol . G6 will always be the 1st one to start this trend :) ... But i love Htc U11 Plus, thats a wonderful device from HTC :)

  • Plenty of people out there have no idea LG, let alone G6 exist... you can't say the same about Samsung. Your comment is invalid ;)

  • Hi there. I was interested in buying this next month and I wanted to ask. Is it worth buying? Are there better alternatives that I somehow missed?

  • No dude you are wrong... Let me explain it to you, LG introduced their G6 lika 2 months before S8 came out... So, we could say that "This trend came because of LG G6 not the S8" Lolzzz ;)

  • We all know that this trend is here because of the S8...

  • You mean the S8 that copied Sharp, lol Bezeless was started by Sharp not Samsung, all Samsung does is copy!

  • If you like them, then you like them. Feel free to buy. If you are happy with it, then I am happy too. There are even people who like to have bezels, and I understand. At the end of the day, what matters the most is that you are satisfied with product you got.

  • U11+ bezels are the perfect bezels that all smartphone should always have!! Not so small and not so big.

  • I have one. brightness is more than sufficient. Very happy for the price.

  • Thanks for the information regarding the screen brightness and its a shame it's about 20% dimmer than the U11 and I find the brightness to be exceptional on the normal u11. At the moment I don't think it's worth spending £700 on the plus version if the screen is inferior to my U11 but if it falls in the UK then I might consider it.

  • The max. brightness of U11+ is about 20% dimmer than U11, doesn't really bother me but if you have to use it under direct sunlight you may have problem to view the screen.

  • GSMArena I'm dissapointed by a bad review on this phone. Generaly feel sorry for HTC because they tend to get alot of hate lately without any reason :/ HTC U11+ seems little bit late into the game, however still being an excellent device I don't understand why HTC doesn't work on it's availability and advertisment and why they don't listen on their customers and fans. Give some love to the customer service, listen to what they have to say and advertise more and better. Do it like OnePlus does over social nets for free, bring some reviewers for rewieving the phones. Send them a free device for a review and after review they can send it back easily. Patch up some minor quality issues you have, check the JerryRigs vidios and fix it. An excellent and brilliant device is allready here just give some lova back to the fans and ADVERTISE :)

  • Yep. They tried to compete with phones like S8 but failed.

  • Are you being serious!!???

  • For those who own a u11 plus how do you find the screen brightness as I have read a lot of people saying it's too dim on maximum brightness. My U11 has great screen brightness even at 75% which I leave it at that but I am concerned about getting a u11 plus if the screen brightness of that phone is maybe poor.

  • . Waiting for it ( egypt )

  • When it will be available in India.... Waiting for it since its launch....

  • Why cant order silver version? Even on their official website there is option only for black and transparent and not silver?

  • The Lumia 950 had removable battery, 2 sim card slots plus a seperate SD card. People did not care much about it. The system has potential but could not raise.

  • I have a u11 myself and I might get a htc u11 plus next but I admit htc are never gona beat Samsung whilst they don't advertise there phones on TV and I have never seen a TV advert for htc phones in the UK but I do see adverts for the Samsung S8 and s8 plus and note 8 and even the Huawei mate 10 pro and in the past I saw a advert for the LG G5 but never a htc phone. HTC executives don't have a clue how to be successful in the phone market and I can only hope they get new people who can make there company successful but at the moment there doomed.

  • Nice try on the screen, but those are still big bezels...

  • Why we should use SIM 2 as Memory Card? Why HTC and other well known brands are providing dedicated SD slots??? Rubish... Even today we use mobile phones as primary object so that Companies should provide dedicated slots.

  • I empathize with you.

  • Where can I buy Translucent Black? Any comparison between U11+ and V30+?

  • agree with you

  • Owned a lot of flagship brands. Settled with HTC, no problems whatsoever, excellent build quality, fast, and no lag, but the problem is the lack of marketing, advertising, launching, and pre-orders. HTC really needs to work on that. What makes it even worse it seems to have bad luck and a weak interest in the eye of reviewers wither a website, people, etc.. Always being bullied by them. Can't understand the hate

  • Does it have irda?

  • I'm sorry you seem to have a faulty phone. Mine is perfect, never missed a beat, and i'm in love with it.. best phone i've ever had!!

  • When it is available in India?..

  • Any news for release in Germany?

  • I have my U11+ for a week now, and I came on here to share my joy and attest that it is one hell of a phone! I have been playing with its features for hours and hours on end and I loved every minute of it. Since getting the HTC Sensation years and years ago, I have been hard pressed to buy another HTC model, to me, they just always seemed to be dropping the ball on something as basic as camera quality, battery life, or another. This time though, they really came up with the goods. In my hand now, I have one of the best cameras in the market, the best phone speakers, and one of the smoothest, quickest and most responsive phones out there, and for practically the same specs (and the better earphones!) I didn't have to plunk down as much money as my friend who got the latest flagship model of another brand. I also just read the poor battery rating this site gave this phone I don't understand what that is about, but for what my opinion is worth as a regular mobile phone user, I couldn't be more satisfied with the amount of juice I get out of one charge. If I have one thing to gripe about HTC, it would probably be its visibility and the availability of its phones in certain regions. I got mine off the gray market. My country's official distributor can't even roll out the U11 Solar Red to this day, so I am not holding my breath if and when they'll have the U11+ out. PS much love for the Edge Sense as well, I can't wait for HTC to develop this further and integrate into other apps.

  • Very disappointed with this phone, received on 22 Dec from Backorder.. All kinds of software issues, toggles turning themselves on/off whilst in pocket, alarms, Wi-Fi data, brightness slider moving down til can't see the screen, list goes on. Also touch screen malfunctioning and unable to unlock phone due to this locking me out and having to restart the phone to resolve but keeps repeating the same have to return. Unfortunate as it's a great piece of kit, but just won't accept this level of buggyness in a €800 phone.

  • It is available in Hong Kong.

  • Not true. Check HTC Taiwan e.store and Lazada Philippines.

  • Checked htc's official website throughout the globe and can't find "Buy Now" option in a single country, few countries show Pre-Order option but later it shows no stock.

  • When publiced HTC12

  • Maybe you could share some results of long exposure like for stars or how long it records 4K with hires flac audio...?

  • htc is best brand.

  • Camera performance is partly even better than pixel2(which is better than almost any other phone in 4K&stills) in some cases, with 4mics its however the best allrounder. That is if 6+hours endurance and non led screen is enough for you. Worthy challenger, maybe ++ version would save it. Can hardly imagine someone to make batter shots&recordings, but lot chan change in half year...

  • Already released in the UK. I have mine and Love it.

  • There is some serious issue about this phone,No info about the release date in many countries (we know this phone won't be released in United States)....I'm really suspicious about it or whether htc is waiting for any auspicious date ???

  • It comes from none other than this site's review, which says U11+ fails in the screen department and battery life is uninspiring. However, if we do our homework and not just relying on one review alone to make our decision, it's essentially them against the rest. While we are at it, you might as well want to pay attention to and take note of your device's screen-on time, since from time to time there'll be people asking about the screen quality or the battery life, or both, no thanks to that review.

  • By specs and reviews it's a dream phone, just add a near bezel-less design like Mix's. Considering all it does and comparing to others, price is reasonable... Just too high for me.

  • No problem with the screen at all, I don't know where this rumour came from.

  • Cross check with the other reviews online ;-)

  • Hold on a minute... 3930 mAh but only 67h endurance rating? what is this....

  • What about the brightness and screen quality? Are they good?

  • When is release date in middle-east?

  • I got mine 2:45 :P It is super nice!

  • Wow...recieved at 1400 today......within 20 hours of despatch notification.....I'm impressed!

  • WooHoo! Recieved U11+ shipping confirmation from HTC at 1745.....hopefully received it before the New year......

  • I have my HTC M10.. Best for me.. I went to reliance digital today.. I am from India too.. I have used m7 before, later m9 now M10 I bought m 10 for 41k., now I wanted pixel 2xl resale for my M10 they giving me 10k only.. Like wtf

  • Is it really capable of 1080p120 video recording? And how is its performance?? GSM Arena's review did not touch this feature.

  • The best phablet and my next, about battery and battery... i think gsm is the only site that wrote medium or poor nattery life for u11+ All other sites and my 6years expriences id different from htc flagships battery life and can swear that all are.listen to other old flagships users and can fimd out ....

  • High five bro!!! I got M7 dual since Feb 2014 and it still rocks in camera wid 4MP (2up) .... Waiting for u11+ in India....

  • interseting, every other reviews say that battery is ok, gsm arena telling its poor. I wonder how is wrong, because i want this phone, but i would not with poor battery time.

  • I am using Htc u 11 super phone but this phone is superb.

  • I did buy mine from Honk Kong and I returned it because the screen was too dim and clearly not as vibrant as my OnePlus 5T. The U11+ is also one of the heaviest phones out there and it has an LCD while my OnePlus 5T is really light and has AMOLED. I could have lived with the LCD screen but it was much too dim, even at maximum brightness, so given that, combined with the lack of a headphone jack and the weight, it was too many strikes against it, so i returned it. If HTC listens...if you take the HTC U11+ (128 GB), but put 8 GB or Ram and not 6, put a 3.5 mm jack and put an AMOLED screen and keep all the rest the same (well, maybe shave some weight while at it) you would have an almost perfect phone. The programmable squeeze function (either from Home screen or within each application) was clearly my favorite option and i will definitely get my next phone with this feature and I would rather NOT have a Pixel, but an HTC.

  • Cross check with the other reviews online ;-)

  • Hold on bro, they will soon all come with No Jack for 3.5mm

  • Oh HTC your phones are very good but your batteries are poor. This one is surprising. I know that Snapdragon 835 is battery efficient, how come that your battery capacity is 3930 mAh but has only 67h endurance rating. Very poor battery performance. Step up your game in the battery compartment please!

  • Hello guys, I will buy the htc u11+ from hong kong. It will work on Europe networks? Thanks

  • It comes with an adapter though.

  • Oh, Shit! It Don't Have 3.5mm Jack. If It Had 3.5mm Jack I Would Buy This Phone. But All Other fetures Are Great.:-)

  • Hi... You mean htc u11 plus? hows the battery life and screen brightness ?and where you get the phone is it through online shop??

  • htc' s sound & audio quality is great with boomsound speaker & dolby atmos audio.

  • It has an always on display - but I choose the option for it to light up only when I pickup the phone, and HDR10 is supported - later with an update

  • I think 2 different models. One single sim with sd card possibility, and one dual sim hybrid solution with a sim slot and a second sim slot/micro sd card slot.

  • Is the flash covered behind plastic or glass? The one on the u11 was behind plastic so it could get easily scratched or damaged.

  • I have a question... Do ALL htc U11+ models have the Dual SIM set up, where the 2nd SIM slot, can also be used as a memory slot if you don't need the a 2nd SIM? Or are there 2 different models? Thanks for helping out.

  • UAE release date ?

  • Add "allways on display" and "hdr10 support" to the properties pls!

  • htc' s boom sound speaker is special than all other brand speaker, I like it.

  • nothat difficult to replce - had One M8 for 3.5 years now - great phone - battery started dying - 30-40 mins with tools supplied in battery replacement kit and now good as new. Some great Videos online to aid you through the process. U11+? - Hell yes - ALL other reviews, and I do mean ALL, state battery life great and brightness much better tha indicated here - suggest they reviewed on pre-release version

  • Add "allways on display" and "hdr10 support" to the properties pls!

  • No no no no no no no no no no no no no why HTC ????????? don't put that power button behind your phone PLS like other brands.

  • I think there is a typo here. As the voice is the other rate that looks ridiculously high, I think they have been put the other way round. So the Voice would be Voice 67dB and the Battery rate 91h. Just a thought!

  • something is definitely wrong with your battery test maybe it 76 and you wrote 67 by mistake, having both u11 and u11+ I can say the u11+ lasts a lot longer than u11 as I'm a moderate user who has everything from sync, wifi etc all on and I use no power saving feature and the u11 lasts about nearly a day sometimes a little more before I have to charge but the u11+ easily lasts 2 days before I have to charge and damn this is one phone with which I have to literally wait for the battery to discharge. please do your battery test again as the information you provide is false.

  • Something definitely wrong with the review. I stop short of referring people to this review until they fix it. There are many other reviews online. And the best part is, they show how good the battery life is.

  • It means to say almost the same battery life of my htc 10...huhuhu.. No way...i just did order this phone in china the other day...

  • Maybe a 6/128 gb??

  • I agree....now i know why google turns the decision to lg..

  • How can the battery life be that low with a battery thats almost 4000mah. Something definitely wrong. This phone should have great battery life

  • there is DEFINITELY something wrong with ur test or the unit u have. I live in Taiwan and all the reviewers & users & forum discussions show that U11+ has noticeable BETTER battery life than the U11 Can u please redo the test with anothet unit for more accurate results?

  • 67 hours??? (money goes back in pocket...)

  • Yes 8.5 mm. But better than the 8.6 note 8.

  • Find more reviews elsewhere, before making up our mind. There are also a couple of video reviews on YouTube. However, I miss AnandTech's smartphone reviews. Theirs were the most detailed ones. Sigh...

  • 67 h battery life WTF ? htc u11 was 5.5" , 3000 mah and it's battery life 73h !!!

  • Is real this test of battery? 67 hours is fake

  • Yes, it's official store can be found in Lazada :)

  • Is this available in India

  • Yeah, that can not be right. Some thing's amiss. In your case, do you use always on display though?

  • Lol.. in our shop we used it non stop for almoat 4 days. Something wrong with battery test

  • This is wrong information. It has great battery life. 7 Hours + screen on time..

  • How is the charging time? 2hours or more than 2hours

  • Why battery life is only 67 hours??!!!!! Something wrong for sure

  • Thank you. Finally, someone who's not tilted over screen tech.

  • HTC hardware is definitely better than pixel . The pixel uses a bad oled panel form lg, has less RAM, less battery mAh, lower IP rating, worse microphones, no microSD card slot etc. Only thing better on the Pixel is camera software and software updates . Personally I would definitely go for HTC as software is something you can improve later . Hardware isn't .

  • Me too... Hesitating between this and Pixel 2 XL, which discount expires today!

  • Is the review coming today ? I am hesitating between this phone and another with a discount that ends today so I would like to know if this is truly one of the best flagship of 2017 :-)

  • Bro, the phone is compatible with almost if not all American networks. So if you've truly be waiting for HTC solid and best phone, order it now. There's no excuse that it ain't being sold I'm the states except you rely on Mobil networks 24 months plans........hmmmm, deep your in your pocket, and buy one that's what other regions are doing....sorry USA.

  • Your question is funny. When did LG started making phones with good sounds? Thumbs up for the KING, HTC is unbeatable when it comes to sound that I can bet with any phone experts! Go back to HTC one x when the collaborate with Beats now bought over by Apple, that little phone can even rock LG sounds output talkless the new models. Yes, the HTC 10 out wasn't even too good and yet it's flog the rest. Do yourself a favor, go to any mobile shop, get a face to face experience with the U11 and if you like it then for sure, the U11+ is 30% louder, clearer and richer. HTC may make mistakes in other areas but certainly not with sounds.... period. Every other phone maker is just trying while HTC sent the stage.

  • Yeah prefer Sony and HTC LCD much more than any kind of OLEDs out there , but still missing the 3.5 T.T

  • Super lcd 6 538 nit, OLED KİLLER, the screen of the device is much better than the iPhone X, why do not you like it, hdr10 also, the sound quality is already super, the camera is very good, do not you look at dual camera phones   u11 + very good chaz, you are writing without knowing, 3.5 jack or you have a lot of trouble ....

  • 3.5 is a dying breed, and OLED is overrated, 2017 has shown the many flaws OLED has. Besides, SLCD6 is comparable to any OLED screen.

  • love that..

  • Good...Shut down and go somewhere else Lagwiz direction maybe

  • No 3.5 mm, No Radio. Not for me. Must change my brand for over 5 years!

  • No 3.5 mm, no OLED? No thanks...

  • htc.com

  • Failed U11,? I have been using the U11 for about 5 months now and I have found the build quality to be excellent and we all don't do the things to our phones like he does on YouTube so for me personally I think those tests are meaningless. I am definitely interested in the U11 plus and I might just get one in December because I think it will be one of the best phones htc have ever made.

  • wooooow amazing phone i want full review

  • The 6" screen size is for bragging purposes, so yeah. ;)

  • Support of the HDR10 feature will be available December 2017. from the htc website

  • This phone is step forward than original U11, but there are untick specs on the box: - No HDR Compliant screen, all flagship nowadays has it - No Dual camera for telephoto - Rather big bezel for 6" screen I keep my U11 until U12, and then decide

  • Seeing HTC can't trim bezel like LG does with V30, I think U11 would be on sweet size at 5.8" 6" is too tall, feel like Note8 on the hand

  • It also has an internal DAC, not only in the adapter. As you can see it has AptX HD and is able to push 24-bit audio through Bluetooth. And yes they also include a high quality DAC in the dongle. Something that a lot of companies dont do. And besides that, the USonic headphones come for free in the box.

  • I hear that but if you look closely they haven't included 2.5d glass on the front which I think weakened the U11 (but looks better) Now there is more metal supporting it the frame. Still looks hot overall

  • Amazing engine...but the question is what about the build quality???next to failed HTC u11???can't wait to watch in jerryrigeverything...

  • HKD4999 (USD640) in Hong Kong, it's suck that HTC don't sell it in US

  • Is HTC U11+ available for USA?

  • Overpriced!!!??? Lol It is just £629 in UK which is equal to Pixel 2...

  • So today is November 20th. Has anyone got his/her U11 Plus yet?? Review please, thx. :-)

  • Lazada is the official online store in the Philippines.

  • from where you get it please?

  • Screen yes Size yes Memory yes Camera yes Battery yes Waterproof yes Available in Taiwan yes So, This is THE ONE.

  • The main difference is: sharper, non OLED display and bulk (tall device, weight) on the HTC 11 in exchange for larger battery and stereo speakers VS less sharp (pentile) OLED display that is super compact and light, at the expense of speakers, battery (although it is still very good) and stereo speakers. I like both, but 188g is a bit heavy for me, even though I love big battery and stereo speakers. I will have to compare the hand feel. I really loved the V30 at the IFA, the HTC 11+ has everything but remains a very tall and quite heavy device (similar to Note 8).

  • Just get it online

  • is HTC available in the Philippines?

  • HTC is best with sound. They even got a dac in the usb-c to 3.5jack converter. And the boom sound on HTC U11+ use the hole internal of the phone as a sub chamber.. so yeas this phone will be best on sound quality on phone and on headphone. the converter is even good to use if you got big headphones you use on your laptop you can use the dac converter and get realy good sound with lots of good quality music

  • Screen yes Size yes Memory yes Camera yes Battery yes Waterproof yes Available in Canada no

  • Finally, great phone in everything: looks/design, specs, battery capacity also S.LCD 6 truly great job HTC

  • Whats Not To Like Design - Good Audio - Goood Camera - Gooood Battery - Goooood

  • i'm owner of the htc 10 too and i love this phone :) for me audio quality is very important and i think which one is better htc or lg. LGs quad dac or HTCs boomsound with u sonic earbuds :)

  • overall, both will be great devices when they will be released to the market. But I would choose u11 + for its built quality (LG not so great sometimes-but V30 will be much better than previous versions), battery life and the a little bit lighter version for android. I own HTC 10 and trust me, its perfomance is phenomenal ;)

  • what about this phone? is better than LG V30?

  • your not very smart if you think the higher the MP the better camera - they are all running on Ultra Pixels on phones now, that is why all these high spec phones have such little number on MP, it picks up better detailing and focus, especially when zooming in.

  • So a flagship phone costing more with a 12mp main cam. Yet the htc desire 10 pro has a 20mp cam and is cheaper. Every year phones stay the same. Very small changes in specs prices up and down mostly up. Nothing changes. What if you bought an S6 and kept it until 2021. Would it still work yes. Would it still take photos yes. Would it still be a phone yeap. We fall for it each year.

  • This promises to be a very brilliant phone. HTC doing a good job.

  • 20th nov which location ??

  • As soon as I saw the specs I knew it wouldn't come to the US because that's what HTC does--only sells overpriced phones that no one wants in the US. Anything you might want--big screen, big battery, too bad for you. How does this company stay in business?

  • Agreed. Using my HTC One M8 since Sep 2014 (3+ years) and still its image quality is better then many recent other brands. I am still able to use it for up to 1 full day without recharge (browsing, youtube and moderate app usage, no games though). Still going strong (at least for me). I tried HTC U11 in a store few weeks ago and it was amazing. Fast & slick. U11+ should be even better. I might go for HTC U11+ (once I check it in store and how it feels) after 20-Nov release.

  • Dearest knowledge enthusiasts. This is the ultimate tries of HTC to go to beautiful contests of beauties amongst all quality maker brands.I wish much more success for the HTC.But with HTC's more efforts in installing audio Jack,no ugliest hybrid, adding IR blaster, radios+rds, and reducing the price logically,it would have been the best of HTC's after HTC one and HTC 10 .Nevertheless losing quality maker HTC is a tragedy for many, however Google the king has stepped up to give hands to HTC!Justice Rights.Omid12Omidvar believes in giving constructive recommendations to all brands as the moral guidelines beliefs...as gsmArena does.Good luck all.Thanks....

  • 6 inches... If this were 5 inches, it would be the best.

  • Where can i get it in south Africa?..

  • Is the HTC u11+...... But oh hey all of you HTC fans residing in North America that have been waiting for almost 5 years for HTC to release a phone of this caliber, it won't be coming to you. Nothing e it's a Europe Asia exclusive. I give up htc.

  • This is the HTC I and I'm sure many other HTC fans have been waiting for since the iconic HTC one m7 or m8. I had the HTC 10 which was a good phone but the camera was below average. If we are being honest the below average camera has plagued HTC for a very long time. Until the u11 htc in my opinion has not made a flagship phone with a really good camera since the original "ultrapixel" camera on the HTC one m7. Flash forward 4 going on 5 years and HTC finally releases that flagshipt's name

  • When it will be available in India ??

  • Yep through Lazada. They have official store there.

  • I am a huge HTC fan. I used M8 for over 2 years. But all of a sudden the battery went bad and now its difficult to replace. HTC is slowly but surely hitting all the right spots of making a great phone. They just need to improve on post market services.

  • i used HTC One m8 for 3 years, i love it.

  • HTC U 11+ tumbs up

  • No matter how old ur phone is, how rough and dusty it is, still it works and performance doesnt degrade as other phones. That's the beutiness of HTC... Now its time to get and grab previous reputation...U11+ looks amazing..

  • You think that is bad? I bet you Never seen a photo from Htc 11 in real life. I took more that 1000 and they still amazes me every time i take a shot.

  • Is HTc available in the Philippines?

  • i used HTC desire Eye for 2 years, i love it.

  • It will be exclusive to S9 for around 1 to 3 months then it will start rolling out to other phones too.

  • I think the new snapdragon processor will be exclusive to S9, maybe a cool move from Samsung because no other phones will have that processor I think it's 845

  • I've used HTC one X for 2 years, been in love with HTC since 2012.

  • I don't even know why people need wireless charging, I have my phone while charging and wireless charging refrains me from doing so, and I don't care about the risk of my phone blowing up.

  • is that same camera on htc u11? what are you thinking htc??

  • Same ... I wish i could this phone in Amazing Silver :( ... Love it so much. I still have Htc 10 though, Thats one of my favourite smartphones :) ... But now, I want this phone its so perfect in everything.

  • With fast charging..u will forget the existence of wireless features..

  • This is my dream specs my dreamy phone Everything i wished is in this phone I wish i could have it❤❤❤&#10084;❤❤❤

  • Whoever will choose bazeless phones they will more likely to repent..because they are fragile! So I choose htc! Dear htc this is your chance to take over samsung phones! We trust you! Please do your best! By the way don't forget about to repairing htc phones which accidently dropped or mulfunctioned, please be customer friendly then you will win!

  • I felt so sorry to choose samsung phones! I had htc before that I bought samsung s4! Htc desire v, yes it was little bit slover but screen was beautiful...now I will buy htc because samsung s6 edge and s7 edge has red line issue...more likely to have the latest samsung phones

  • Ikr. U11+, Nokia 8, Mate 10 PRO and LG V30 has been the best phones of this year. Hopefully S9 comes on Jan or else it will take the position of these 3 as it has SD 845 which seems really OP!!!

  • you just check with the specification what u want from the mobile for use because now days compare will be there of mobile so check and get the mobile

  • ....WoW.... i think its cool phone....Specification is cool.

  • Cancelling my preorder of the xl 2 for this beauty. with all the issues surrounding the pixel and the average screen quality i cant justify spending £800 on that. u11+ cheaper bigger battery etc

  • Look at these and do choose: Google Pixel 2 xl.........................................htc U11+ 6" P-oled..............................................6" IPS LCD Card slot: no................................up to 256 GB 12.2 MP f/1.8.........................12 MP f/1.7 3520 mAh........................3930 mAh 940 EUR........................800EUR I prefer u11+

  • still no wierless charging...

  • Htc U11+, I like that

  • Lg V30 How can you miss it?? I would've liked your comment

  • Welcome back HTC!

  • Samsung's design is not a bezel-less one but Edge design, no side bezel at all, coupled with its own disadvantages. Apple... Welcome rounded corners and "top notch" design.

  • Dont blame htc that much. Fan boys run behind their products and forgot the old quality product producer granny. So htc said, no care no expectations.

  • Nothing wrong with some bezel. Bezel-less all about marketing hype. Keeps us buying new phones every year. I prefer a little forehead and chin on my phones.

  • Ha ha ha. Quality is poor in all wireless devices. Bull Shit.

  • HTC didn't get the memo. Everybody went bezeless yet HTC kept the bezels despite going tall... Oh well a chunky jaw and a hat is -I guess- HTC's version of "bezeless"... they simply can't do bezeless. HTC like Sony is abundant with design expertise but no engineering chops. Xiaomi, Sharp, Samsung and Apple ... and that's it.

  • Last year I may disappointed no headphone jack, but now we have more option for headphone usb type c available out there, so no prob to me at all. And after all this phone BEAUTIFUL.

  • The jack is thing of old days, now all is wireless.

  • LG V30. You may now leave.

  • 3.5 jack is analogue thing. Nowdays everything is wireless.

  • Who doesn't use bluetooth headphones in this day and age?!

  • Hi What's new in super LCD 6!? It (U11+) has glass back panel or aluminum unibody back panel!?? Thanks

  • No headphone jack. What a disgrace.

  • Best Smartphone of 2017 has just released :) ... Really want this phone ;)

  • Am so glad just because it has operating system.. Lol htc u11+ was original pixe 2 xl anyway! aptX HD is good option however, I prefer Razer's loudspeaker to ordinary stereo speakers... THX! Overall U11+ is good phone but not best

  • I called T-Mobile and asked them if I would be able to use a phone that was meant for Europe in the US and still get LTE. If you import the phone and get it unlocked, it should support LTE bands. If I get this phone, I'll be able to use LTE band 4 on T-Mobile.

  • If you import the phone and get it unlocked, it should support LTE bands. If I get this phone, I'll be able to use LTE band 4 on T-Mobile.

  • Are u in 1990 ??? .. use bluetooth for car audio man .. u can aux-to-bluetooth receiver for few pennies.

  • we know that we can connect 3.5mm jack via usb type c....but if it use too many times it can get damage....

  • The 3,5 jack is needed not only for headphones but also for audio out signal on power amplifiers or car aux entrance etc!!!!

  • Does it have wireless charging?

  • Was gonna get this phone until i see that there's no 3.5mm jack. Goodbye.

  • U11 and u11 plus has by far the best headphones, no other phone comes near. It is absurd to judge the phone just by headphone jack absence, especially if the phone has superb audio quality (which u11 does have).

  • We want 3.5mm jack! Please HTC stop with this modern stupid trends!!! C'moooooon!

  • I think everyone's spite with phones abandoning the 3.5mm headphone jack stems from the fact that we're currently in the transition period from wired to wireless audio, and currently bluetooth technology doesn't support lossless audio transmission. During the conversion process of transmitting audio from your phone to your headphones/earbuds, their is a loss in quality. Not so much that the average listening will pick up on it, especially with a solid pair of headphones, but a true audiophile will definitely hear a difference. As the technology progresses overtime with the bluetooth, and its bound to get more support now that it's quickly becoming the industry standard, people will be a little less salty about phones not having a headphone jack. But currently so many people still have wired headphones that this is a problem for a lot of people...

  • I would've bought this but it doesn't have support for USA bands. Plus I'm not going to throw away my G6 already.

  • Nice phone but people stop liking HTC brand. Its going slowly out of fashion like some other brands did. Apple could follow. I would really appreciate. Also Samsung :-) I hate curved screens for a million certain reasons.

  • No 3.5mm jack? Goodbye HTC. :(

  • How do you know it s not coming to us?

  • Gorgeous phone. Almost perfect! Would like to see htc come back.

  • My HTC U11 thick bezels hasnt killed me yet. How i wish u11 had this beefy batter.

  • "Bubble"

  • Good news this garbage is not coming to US HTC you out of your mind, how did come to this. Looks like HTC living in a bobble world and has no idea what competitors is up to. It's time for me to try different brands. Good bye HTC !

  • 8.5 mm thickness and still no head phone jack.

  • Again HTC made a really beautiful phone, but (for now) no super awesome colors like Solar Red. Still a super beautiful phone, I am curious how it feels in the hands.

  • This phone check all the boxes for me, but it doesn't support US LTE bands. What a disappointment! Now it narrow down to V30 or 5T, but I lean toward V30 more. I don't trust Chinese's shady practice.

  • Htc u11+ is just 1 mm taller and 1 mm wider than Samsung S8+. Just One milimeter more !!! And htc u11+ hasn't stupid useless curved screen, it is flat , so 1 mm more wider is normal. Also, htc u11 plus has stereo speakers, so bigger bezels up and down are ALSO justificated.

  • Yes finally a Beautiful 2017 phone from HTC. Sad its not coming to the US. Just make a Dual lens cam next time and you will get all the boxes checked Build : ✔✔✔ Design: ✔✔✔ Camera : ✔✔ Sound: ✔✔✔ Bezel less : ✔✔✔ EdgeSense: ✔✔ Screen: ✔✔ Battery: ✔✔✔

  • Finally, good battery size, very nice display, but no headphone jack. Not interested in headphone dongle adapter that may stop working like on my previous HTC U11, which you can only order on their website. Would have considered this phone, but will probably buy LG V30, quad DAC and headphone jack to me is a deal breaker. I blame this all on Apple and all these wanna be Apple smartphone manufacturers following suit. Please Samsung LG and OnePlus, dont abandon the headphone jack.

  • Best phone 4 ever 😗, htc quietly brilliant 💙💙💙

  • The Prefect Phone.

  • You are mocking HTC for the "huge" bezels (78% STB ratio btw) and then go on to say you are gonna go Sony, the bezel-happy company. That's lame. For those who are interested, Recombu has uploaded a video to YouTube showing the original U11 and the Plus version side by side.

  • Because SD845 around the corner, Sd835 at the lowest price. Big profit each unit is 1 of the reason htc not selling well

  • I can't believe that this is not coming to the US.... what a bummer that the US gets chided when manufacturers release special/limited edition of phones.... I like HTC and was considering purchasing this phone... but if I have to import it... it's going to be over $1000 US and I'd rather save my money for either the Razer phone, the Huawei Mate 10, or just wait until 2018...

  • HTC is out of the game, these bezels sucks thu, I surely won't pay 800 to bother my sight with them!!!

  • This is why I have been bothered with all of these Quarter 4 phones. Wait for the 845 after Samsung is done with it.

  • The camera lens has bigger pixel size, which means better results in low light, and better details.

  • Honestly I am kinda dissapointed again. I mean this device is huge! Have a look at the Galaxy S8 or the LG V30! Both are much smaller! This device won't even comfortably fit in every pocket. And again that black front color only, which not everybody likes. On the positive site, at least this has a great battery life(probably).

  • I really don't care if the phone is 10mm thick as long as it has a big battery to compensate. Also slimmer phones are more prone to accidents. I am ok with it's thickness considering it has 4000mah. The lack of the 3.5mm jack and sd card slot on the single sim version are the things making this phone is totally unappealing to me. And again, I do not see any bezeless design here :))

  • Buying a smartphone with snapdragon 835 in the end of 2017 is not a good option. It's a powerful processor nontheless, but is been around for a year already. And with all the better options just around the corner.. Also, not to mention the price of the device, 800+ euros.

  • This is just an upgrade of U11 so we shouldn't expect too much. The next gen (U12 I suppose) needs to be much more impressive.

  • And 8.5 mm thick in 2017!

  • No headphone jack once again. I hope HTC will bankrupt soon.

  • everything perfect in this phone i like it so much

  • Where is yhe bezeless design? All I see are some HUGE as bezels :)) Also: - NO 3.5mm jack - I'm not an audiophile but I use the headphones all the time for everything WHILE charging! FKU HTC! - Sd card slot available only on dual sim version - Everybody knows that dual sim phones are garbage (double the radiation, additional processing power and battery drainage) I USED to love HTC. Now I'm totally over them. Specially after seeing their build quality - wet cardboard - U Ultra broke like a twig. RIP HTC. Looks like I'm going with Sony. Again.

  • Can iPhone 8 Plus or Samsung S8 + be used with one hand?

  • I actually like this phone. I think it's the best phone HTC has made in the last couple of years. Yes, I won't buy it. Because the bezels are still big, the screen it's still LCD (though not a deal breaker), but still no 3,5mm jack, the front camera it's just f/2.0 and with no AF and they're still charging a lot of money for just 4GB of RAM, there should be 6/64 and 8/128 options just like OnePlus it's doing for 3-4 months already and for a lot less money. Well, see you next year HTC, maybe you'll get it right then.

  • stereo speakers .... on the bottom ! pfffff... . where was HTC and what they has become ! Once long time ago HTC phones where done with FRONT great stereo speakers now some shit on bottom... and they don't understand why are going to bankruptcy

  • Considering that this is a late 2017 phone which will compete with 2018 phones, bottom and top bezels are huge hence screen-to-body ratio is not satisfying. Though impossible to use with one hand.

  • I hope it's speakers are very loud, treble rich, and set trends.

  • Firstly, less megapixels doesn't necessarily mean that it's worse. Sensor size, thus pixel size, and aperture all plays a part. Secondly, it could be worse. My guess, due to narrower top bezel having less space, HTC resort to using smaller sensor size. I'm gonna wait for the reviews, however.

  • Htc practically started d dual cam trend and den left it when everyone else adopted it..... Ironic..... (Still waiting to see sony's dual cam solution)

  • U11 plus has worse secondary camera when u11 :D wtf?

  • seriously??? hav'nt used htc one (m7,m8,m9,10)??????

  • Finally a good looking phone from HTC

  • According to tech advisor the price in the UK is £700 which if that's definitely the case I think this phone will do extremely well and I have a HTC u11 myself and I may buy this phone if that price is correct.

  • Seems like a great phone from rumors. The front is not bezel less, but bezel-free enough for 2017 and 2018. I like how they stick with straight display corners. The battery is huge while the thickness is still ok. The other specs are all high end like it should be, 128GB internal base storage is really nice. The fingerprint sensor and nav bars could have been placed on the bottom bezel. For me, this looks like a phone HTC could have a comeback with. If they price it competitively, and if the price decreases over time, if it gets updates for more than 2 years, it will be a great phone. I am an unbiased iPhone user.

  • i think fingerprint scanner would fit on the front, as in the mate 10

  • The phone looks great in my opinion

  • Because htc insists on the best speaker and front camera

  • So this is the "bezelless" U11+? Those top and bottom bezels are still huge looking to me! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE~!

  • Here's the Reddit link

  • The translucent color looks sick you can see it on the leaked video

  • Friend, do you seriously compare a flagship with budget devices?? Those £100 devices won't get the likes of power efficient SD625, surely (At most, SD430, SD435 or MTK equivalent). Even if such cheap yet efficient phones do exist, I believe those are an exception rather than the rule. But I also feel that HTC should have put slightly bigger battery in the U11 in the first place, say 3200-3300 mAh, as an upgrade from the HTC 10. ;)

  • HTC phones have always fallen a little short in one area or another that kept me from seriously considering getting one. While I have to praise the HTC One series, the U11 Plus very well could be my next phone. Permitting it isn't plagued with bloatware when bought directly from HTC.

  • So ONLY when the screen is 6" can HTC put in a bigger battery than 2800 - 3100 mAh? I've seen a lot of phones at 5" with 4000 mAh, that costs £100.

  • Sweeeet!

  • When you posed your question, no. Now? Yepperz ;-) .

  • going to do good

  • Too much Samsung and LG, who have their respective issues

  • It is going to announce by november 2

  • Better buy a thick phone with good battery life, than to buy a thin phone with really bad battery life.

  • is this rumored phone confirmed by hTC?

  • What if the extra thickness goes to larger battery and no camera hump? Perhaps it will help in durability department too? To be fair though, let's wait until it's available in stores then we can try it hands-on.

  • Nice phone! ..................... ..................... ummmm 9.2mm thick? No thanks... Still getting the Sony XZ1.....

  • Its only a rendering image official will be different

  • ohh htc, what about displays of your htc u plus. if it lg v30's panel?

  • Can any phone (other than the v20 and v30) even drive those headphones at its full potential without an external amp? My phone struggles with my HD 439 (redmi note 3 pro). Even my friend's S7 edge struggles. It sounds muted compared to my PC (I use a Creative Sound Blaster Z).

  • Xiaomi Mi Mix on back body

  • Chill, mate. Whether an answer can please you or not is totally up to you. However please do not put words into my mouth, as I do not say anything about HTC's decision being an improvement. Instead, I merely point out the alternatives given, that's it. I'm well aware that not everyone's gonna accept those alternatives, fine. Who am I to decide for other people anyway? OTOH, I have doubt that one will need to charge this device during the day, if the rumored 4000 mAh battery comes true. That should provide all-day battery life from full charge. Just charge it overnight. Cheers!

  • Lmao that's not the answer I want. I want a 3.5mm jack for my Senheiser 700HD headphones (6.3mm) that I payed about 1000 euros for. I want to use my headphones while I'm charging my phone at the same time. You my friend are trying to excuse a brand that takes away a feature and calls it an improvement. How in the hell can you take something out and call it better when clearly it is not so. You sheeple are getting on my nerves defending a dying brand for making some of the worst decisions out there. And this is coming from a big HTC fan. But not anymore. RIP HTC! You suck! Oh, and the quality build on your phones is of wet cardboard. Pathetic! (cough cough U Ultra cough) These are the only phones out there worth buying :

  • In the original U11 case, HTC provide USB Type C-to-3.5 mm jack adapter AND a USB Type C USonic earbud of good quality. Should U11 Plus lack 3.5 mm jack, it would come with the same set of alternatives.

  • Where are you M7/8..!? Brilliant quality!? Perhaps! Great design!? Actually not! Apart from M7/8 to htc! Why you did kill Jack headphones!? Why you're not in path: Making easy ways to use for users --> user friendly

  • What does having a headphone jack have to do with the display?

  • 02.11

  • When will it be released?

  • Long time ago HTC was one of best companies thats a story for our children. In present era the story is all we have.

  • When I saw this phone has SD card slot I was like OMG that's my next phone! Then I scrolled down and sow there's NO 3.5mm jack :( Boooo! RIP HTC! I'm gonna buy Sony again!

  • Unleash the beast.....

  • 3.5 audio a dead and never coming back so stop asking for it.

  • FM radio ft 3.5mm Jack. H hand to hand in sadly sunrise vertical view :v Abschied... Lol Why not 4k mAh...!? huh!?

  • I think 6 inch screen with no 3.5 it will be make some problems

  • I reckon that's because of the smaller top bezel causing space constraint. They perhaps employ a smaller sensor. However, it's just a speculation at the moment. Besides, having less megapixels doesn't necessarily mean worse quality. Better wait until it's official.

  • If this device will indeed come with 3900-4000 mAh battery as rumored, I don't think you need to charge it during the day. It will provide you with all-day battery life, then you can charge it overnight.

  • plus version has worse front camera then normal? wtf

  • 18:9 & front scanner ! can u explain ......?

  • I want to charge phone and talk or listen music... what's wrong with you all? Will you provide a battery of 10Ah so no charging is needed for days ? Now we have to buy splitters for audio and charging...

  • Okay firstly, which phone with an 18:9 ratio have you ever seen with a front facing fp scanner? Secondly, you want all that for 600?? I'm sorry, but I don't even know what to think of you right now...

  • Yes, 4000 MaH battery, but it's going to have a LCD panel.

  • What is it that they hate about the 3.5mm jack so much? FAIL!

  • with these specs expect 1000 USD

  • Latest rumors point to 4000 mAh battery and POLED screen. I was wishing for somewhere between 3300 to 3500 mAh range, mind you... Anyway, accounting for the battery and screen upgrades, I hope HTC are gonna prize this not higher than US$699. Original U11 was launched at a decent price of US$649, and it even got promo code to bring that down to US$599. So yeah, US$699 with a similar promo would be appropriate, IMO.

  • If HTC wont use these specs its fail phone again -18:9 Oled screen with bezels less desgin 80-82% screen to body ratio -IP68 dust and water resistance -wireless charging -Dual rear camera bokhe effect -USB TYPE C port 3.2 -Front fingerprint scanner -Stero boom speakers 100db sound -3300-3500mah battery quick charge 4+ 0-100% in 80mintues -Bluetooth 5 Price $600

  • Good taste, camel I'm sure you enjoy chinese cheap phones like huawei U11 is way superior to any chinese's brands

  • I'd just take the bigger battery ...

  • Don't forget the 3.5 mm audio jack.

  • Please HTC, add the following features for the perfect 2017 flagship smartphone: 1- Dual cameras set up as used to be. 2- Real stereo front speakers as used to be. 3- Infrared sensor as used to be. (I miss this feature from my M8). 4- Wireless charging since it's a glass back. 5- Bigger battery than 3500. 6- Front or side (like Sony ) fingerprint scanner. 7. Less width than U11 for easy handling with small hands. Same dimensions as Samsung S8 will be perfect. 8- Support for QC 4.0 9- IP68 water resistant.

  • Plz dont waste u r money for this loser company go for huwawi mate it awsome phone

  • Hmm. Let's hope this will not be that huge. A 158, 159 mm tall phone is pretty big for the most people. What I am afraid of, is that the front color will be black on all colors, which to me is a bad idea.

  • No worries HTC, we already have mate 10 :)
