Meizu MX4 Pro - User Reviews

  • AliExpress

  • Don't live in Kenya usually works

  • my meizu mx4 cracked the screen, doesn't show anything, where will I repair it here in kenya

  • How do I root my meizu MX 4 pro without me having a flymeOs account, I bought it with an account registered in someone's name and have lost contact with him. It is a very nice phone though....any help will be highly appreciated.

  • thank you for nice review, though it's an old device but i've decided to have one as my daily driver instead of my last xiaomi devices such mi max, redmi 4 prime, note 4x etc. got little bore with xiaomi devices. my mx 4 pro is on it's way now :)

  • Now on Flyme 6.0.2.0A ... battery is much better

  • the battery life is longer,, so easy to use, like i phone

  • Great phone all round, total dream to work with, but two glaring flaws really bring it down - the battery life and the lack of expansion options. Flyme is so smooth and easy once you get used to it, and I didn't have any of the LTE issues I've had with other Chinese brands' 4G phones (I'm in the UK). It's just a shame the battery's dying on me after six-and-a-half hours of moderate to heavy use - really not good enough. I hope the newer models improved on this one - it has so much potential.

  • I can't use my sim. Help

  • Please check in this Wiki for procedure : or check Forum for questions

  • So easy bro, here in Meizu Fans Wiki you have a full simple guide to install GooglePlay following your version of Flyme (OS)

  • why I cant download google play store anymore after resetting....pls help what to do.

  • mx4 pro. Dual simcard. Amoled. Qhd. Please.

  • Hello, im using flyme 4.5.7I and there is 5.1.11.g is available but i cant upgrade it. Every time when i try to upgrade in the middle of proses corrupts. How can i upgrade it? And does it worth to upgrade?

  • if after connect to the charger nothing happend,so you have burned motherboard

  • Fingerprint tech? Wut?

  • You're claiming about fingerprint tech when the processor beats any American phone I can get for this price. Its not like we have any privacy anyway.

  • my mx4 pro brought from china shut down suddenly last year. nobody in india can repair it. someone help me plz.

  • Ahm, Did you use meizu on flyme 5.1.3.0A and i`m a disappointed about the display visibility on sunlight...Don`t worry about games, i don`t play very much. Thanks

  • great phone. i have it over a year now. it give a graet fight to the expencive phones. the battery holds for a full day in common use. crazy mega-pixel, comfertable to use. very strong sound. downsides: the device gets hot when in serious use (gaming). screen visibility in sun, not good. camera doesn't work great it night time.

  • Can somebody give me an opinion about this phone only on 5.1.3.0A Flyme and most important i need battery at least from morning to night before charge again and display on sunlight and camera especially front......

  • M8 ur bashing. That's not allowed. Your account's name proves it.

  • ha ha ha ....may be u dont know how to use a phone.coz meizu rocks...

  • i have the 5.1.8.0a and actually have a patch of 5.6.8.2 beta 80.23 mb and is very stable ..this phone i have 8 months ..and never stuck 24/7 is open and never close ... best phone ever

  • Latest stable firmware: 5.1.8.0 A My Antutu benchmark score: 55409 (compared to the ~ 42200 score several months ago, difference due to the firmware improvements). While the fingerprint is a bit lazy, and it is clearly intended for the chinese market, it really does the job. Camera is significantly better than that of iPhone 6 (based on photo comparison). Battery is not as great as you would expect from a 3350mAh battery, but it's enough, comparing to most nowadays smartphones. On the downside I would mention the lack of a SD card slot and the (most-likely) presence of spyware within the Flyme OS which probably sends out user data without your consent. But if you're not afraid of Microsoft or Google (who do the same), then there's nothing to worry about. There would also be the Mobile network signal drop when you're in an area out of coverage or in an well-sealed elevator. When that happens, you need to restart your phone to gain mobile coverage back. Totally recommend this phone for day-to-day use, as it's got a decent quality/price ratio. Wishlist: a Ubuntu version of the MX4 Pro.

  • I have this phone almost 6 months... BEST PHONE I EVER HAD (used to have iphone, all of them, including 6s as my second phone at this moment)... ALL PERFECT!

  • This phone

  • Ive been using this phone 1 and a hafl year. Drop it many times, use it everyday as my companion. Almost 90 percent always that the display on all the time. The battery still function very good. The camera still excels splendidly. The speed is still very good. Smooth and lag free. The loudspeloud speaker performs excellent still. The headphone sound quality and loundness is stillundefeated both in quality and loudness as compared to other hifi phone even surpasses the Meizu Pro 5. Ive been using other leading smartphone like samsung galaxy. But it did not last longer in terms of speed and durabity like this super phone meizu mx4 pro. Samsung phones problem in long usage is the motherboard that crashes for more the 8 months of usage. Based on my experience in S4s. This phone is unbeatable for its functions and durability. The loudest phone in Headphone audio to date and excellent sound quality as well. Plus factor is the screen and speaker and speeds. I never thought this phone last this long. I will extend to use this unit to 2 yrs from now. EXCELLENT HiFi Phone with AMAZING Audio Quality.

  • Excellent phone. Build quality, photo and video, big 2k screen, smooth OS, great great phone, best i ever had.

  • I had been using mx4pro for a year plus until last week. Its like one of the most overrated phone ever. Yes, it is the first android phone with fingerprint technology but it sucks, you are lucky if it take less than a second to read your fingerprint cos mine always takes more than a second and more than one attempt to unlock the phone. Its wifi had been week since I bought it and last week my mx4pro wifi, bluetooth and gps stop working together. It turns out that they use a integrated chip for these 3 functions and its been reported that this particular chip always breaks from the Chinese website. Whats worse is the repair fee is half the price of the phone retail price. I bought it at bout HKD3.5K last year and the repair fee was HKD1.6K. Ended up I went to the Xiaomi center which is just above the meizu center and bought redmi note 3 at HKD1.5K. Its fingerprint detector works so much better, it doenst heat like mx4pro does, its wifi is much better, battery is much better and its 100hong kong dollars cheaper than a fucking wifi chip!

  • meizu mx4 pro.the best phone i have huhu

  • Dude, what you have stated is MX4 not MX4 pro, just refer to the comment section in MX4 to see how bad the feedback from users.

  • Xiaomi's battery drains faster.

  • Meizu : 4k video and screen, 20 mp camera, gorilla glass screen security , 16 gb mem. 3gb Ram ,exynos 5430 octa core 3350 mah xiaomi : 1080x1920,13mp cam.,4000 mah , 2.0 ghz octa xore. Reply to this comment please

  • Which is best please help me friends Meizu Mx 4 pro for 220$ Or Xiaomi redmi note 3 ( mediatek ) 16gb memory 2gb ram 195$ 32 gb and 3gb 236$ please help me i need to make decision between them

  • whats the latest software update at this point in time? hows battery life

  • downgradeto previous kitkat firmwareand then updateto lollipop. itwill fixthe issue

  • hey i hear from many ppl that the phone not good because the weak battery (2k lcd), many bug with cpu...

  • Yeah, I started having this same issue a week or two ago. Randomly the fingerprint reader stops working, it won't even recognize that I am putting my finger on the scanner (no vibration, which would be the normal response on a failed read). I have to use my password to get into the phone, and when I go to the Fingerprint and Security settings the "Use to unlock screen" is off. When I turn it back on it goes to a screen that instructs you to put your finger on the reader, but nothing happens. I don't think the actual reader is on at this point. I have to restart the phone, and then it allows me to turn on the option to use the fingerprint reader to unlock the screen. This is completely random, I have found no pattern related to the apps being used or anything like that. It would be great to find a solution.

  • My fingerprints scan on mx4 pro suddenly not working, somebody have this error like me

  • This phone is way better than Xiaomi. It's even better than the Xiamoi Mi Note Pro.

  • Which of is better? Redmie note 2 or this phone

  • how many gb ?

  • I have mx4 and I got Android and PC endoscope, it Mead be support otg . Mx4 support tame?

  • I have mx4 and I got Android and PC endoscope, it Mead be support ISO and otg . Mx4 support tame?

  • Corley I have an original, complete, functioning MX4 in Budapest, Hungary. The price would be 100USD. [email protected]

  • Dear Corley! I have an original, complete, functioning MX4 in Budapest, Hungary. The price would be 100USD. regards,: palage

  • yes, it's now on flyme os 4.7.1 (android 5.0.1)

  • You can by a new screen for just 40$ from websites like AliExpress.

  • Best phone I've ever owned. Meizu really support their products well, with endless OS updates, unlike the big brands. It's also super rugged, mines been dropped more times than I'd like to think about, with no discernable damage sustained. Of course it's not perfect but it's very close to it! Love it and so will you!

  • If you have one the works, but has a broken screen, I can buy it from you. I have one that has a perfect screen, but the CPU burned out. If you put it on eBay, post a link here please!

  • LOL do you have any reasonable research which you can provide or its just your opinion? Removable batteries have no difference from non removable that's my answer for your. It's the companies which wants to make money on service charges when you pay them to replace battery. Apple charges 90£ for replacing battery, in Samsung you buy new battery and no extra cost for that

  • this phone have received android 5.01 update?

  • waste of money, I got it last week did nor work with Europe system - you have to upload everything from the beginning to make it work, all in China language, apart from that fall once and glass get completely broke.

  • good phone

  • Yes, it has 5.0.1 Lollipop. Very satisfied with this smartphone. Noticeably faster than my old Note II.The battery isn't as good as the one from my old Note II, but for its performances, it it ok for a day with normal usage.

  • is this phone have lollipop update??

  • best phone ever. very satisfied with this phone. finger print sensor is faster than 5s. quite good.

  • Nope this phone is single sim.

  • Is this dual on or single sim ? Really interesting with such specification and low price

  • this mx4 pro one is a great phone, from hard ware point view is better than iphone and samsung, and the price reasonable, camera is super, for video recorder do need a stabliser, wifi sensitivity is good, gps also super, not so much can be developed, maybe the new etc axon pro better? i doubt, the mobile phone technology may be to the end

  • I already bought it

  • Hi i am mucch worried to buy this phone because i have read some of the bad reviews What do u suggest about buying this phone

  • Did u have ur software update Check it once

  • The Meizu Mx4 Pro blows the Elephone P8000 out of the water.

  • i think good if I use a meizu MX4 pro, because i have experience using Xiaomi, Xiaomi have a good conection, good aplication n good operating system

  • , hello guys...i just want your opinion...i want to buy new phone... is it meizu mx4 pro or elephone p8000? which one is better? i'm heavy user...surf internet, watching video, playing video games... i hope you can help me...

  • How about connecting 4Glte? Is it smooth?

  • How about 4G connecting? is it smooth?

  • how much that in china?

  • I was thinking about Xiami mi note but no pro cos i personaly dont think that Qhd is much better than fullHD. I get this SP for awesome 360euros(30% discount) and in my country(slovakia) is Xiamo mi note and note pro just in one eshop and it cost about 550euros so my choise was obvious. I love LED diod singalizing missed call(unfortunetly just one color if i know well), unread mail or SMS and probably even facebook message too. The speaker is very loud but after 75% of volume noise it is not so good quality. But if you wanna use your SP as a music player(with earphones) this SP is totaly clear choice. I am using Beats by Dre and i think that quality is equal to my Creative sound blaster ZXR whitch i have in my computer(maybe the bass are a little bit less noisy). Also i was trying fingerprint senson equaly on Iphone 6 Plus(sister's phone) and meizu and meizu won in 5 of 6 tries. There is just one think that really dissapoint me and it is missing SDcard slot, BIG dissadvantage agains my note 4. I have 32Gb version cos in our state is not possible to get 64Gb version. I tried to solve this with 64Gb USB/otg flashdisk but it is not ideal solution cos of permanent transfer of music or movies and more it is next think i have to have in my package. Ou and also i can say that front camera is the best i saw on any SP i had hands on. My sister is borrowing SP or a selfies so i can judge it is better than on the Iphone. Again, sori for my english guys and if you wanna knwo somethink just ask.

  • Why don't you try Xiaomi mi note pro? It is a very good device, read the specifications and Antutu benchmark...

  • Just get this awesome phone today and right now after a 6 hours of permanent usage he turn off so i could say that 2 hours of web browsing/downloading apps/ watching youtube vids and plus next 3 hours of playing games/ chatting and customizing phone that battery is pretyy good, not as much of yo uwas saying here(probably never had hand on this phone). About overheating i have to say it is little bit more than my note 4(unfortunetly stolen) but it is nothing unexpected or horrible, just classic than others multi core SP and Snapdragon 801 and higher. But i still wait for sys update hopefully on lollipop whitc would fix this and maybe even battery life a little bit. About a display, i am a big fan of amoled and i can say that this LCD display is fu..ing stunning. SP is doing really really great photos in the light is good but he turn into a crap when you try to shot in dark room(i would say more after today night tryies with this SP) and the video is great too just not in 4k. It is laggy little bit but when you turn it in lower resolution you have totaly perfect camera. If you wanna ask some more chuestions go ahead and sori for my english i am self-learner(all from videogames and movies).

  • I highly doubt it is a hardware issue, anyway updated my phone to Flyme 4.5A android 5.0 and it is a lot more responsive now. The battery is still quite bad if you have 3G/4G data on, otherwise it will last you a day with normal use. (I would highly recommend upgrading to flyme 4.5 Beta, it is less buggy than the current kitkat versions and solves the heating issue) Pros: Beautiful screen, excellent speakers, finger print scanner works flawlessly, Super power saving mode really helps when low on battery. Cons: flyme is buggy, battery is poor and call quality from the ear piece is less than average.

  • Yours is an exception ..mine works just fine...its probably a manufacture defect....if you don't like it ..that's different

  • I am disappointed for this phone because it is not a lolypop version it is a old kitkat

  • im considering change from xiaomi mi4 to mx 4 pro. is mx4 pro better?

  • Guys how about the total perfomance of this phone,..is true the overheating issue?..iam planning to buy, this meizu mx4

  • I have had the phone for almost 3 months now. Battery is bad, over heats and the OS is sluggish as hell, even though i am on the latest firmware and have cleared all data etc. I wish i didn't sell my LG G2. I have tried several chinese phones elephone, xiaomi, THL but found Meizu the worst! I bought it because some reviewing liars said the battery was great...

  • Pick oppo find 7 because the vamera off this phone is very best....

  • Love it so far, bought it specifically for the amplifier goes really well with my headphones.

  • I will go with the 1st option. Because I noticed it from the every 1st day. Thank you... I had no intention of wasting my money please.

  • you have either a defective phone or you haven't handled it properly as you would with a galaxy note 4 or an iphone because it's 'cheaper'

  • lol.... its on the latest software. it's not good. I bought it $380 (less than a 3 weeks old) i won't mind selling it $250.

  • No overheating problems with mine. My battery lasts 9 hr with normal usage. You need to update your software.

  • i regret buying it

  • No overheating problems with mine. My battery lasts a full day with normal usage.May be you have a defective one or you need to update your software

  • this phone is poor. Just bought it from china/hong Kong after reading some reviews here. The battery is poor. It overheat. The battery drains within 2 hours. I bought honor 6 before now, That was ok. But not this meizu mx4 pro. I wasted my moneY. I give it 2/10.

  • It has a white notification LED next to the front facing camera

  • mx4 or zenfone 2 interms of emulation and gaming?

  • does it have notification light like the mx4?

  • If are used to samsung phones, then the Meizu is a big step forwards.

  • I want to buy one of the Meizu smart phones. But need help. Is it good from samsung brands? I used galaxy s3 before. But I wanted to experience something new. I don't care about price. But I need speed, good display and great camera. should I buy one of the meizu phones and which one? Or Samsung galaxy note 4 will be good option? Please need your help

  • i suggest you mx4 pro because it is a audio phone which has build in hifi audio technology and i do own one so i am suggesting you it. you won't regret

  • Hello my friend, I have the Meizu MX4 Pro and I think is the best option, because the 3000 mah baterry of the Oppo is very low in endurance, only five hours in web browsing. Meizu is very great in battery life (3350 mah) and with this soon update to lollipop, I think this feature increase.

  • I'd love to have this phone anytime soon...ooops, I forgot I'm poor.

  • This is a question that also relates to the Oppo Find 7. I have been researching phones that I might possibly buy for over 3 months now and have more or less narrowed it down to the Oppo Find 7 and Meizu MX4 Pro. I love both's specifications and the build quality seems to be spectacular. My only problem with the Find 7 is its price while the only problem for the MX4 Pro's only problem is lack of extendable storage (I am an audiophile and have TONS of songs). I can just look hard for a 64 GB version, but I still want to ask here. Which of the two should I get? Both are amazing in many aspects, and it is really hard to decide. I hope you guys can give me an unbiased response that relates to everything and not just a singular thing like the camera. Thank you!

  • Is it worth buying? Im planning to buy a new smartphone but i cant decide which all of those smartphones today i will choose

  • I have had this phone for almost 5 months now and my only complain is when I installed the google keyboard. It sometimes hangs & sometimes goes back to system keyboard and it's kinda annoying when you are in a hurry and need to send out a quick chat.

  • i have this phone and works very fine, no lag switching between apps, the keyboard works well, and everything is fine, i think your device is with problems, send an email to meizu, they support area is faster to answer you.

  • whatever can be said...ill say this phone is amazing...using in battery saving mode...battery can last for a day...much better then samsung i can say 😇

  • Well, bad luck for you. Mine can last a day with average data connection and wifi usage, plus few games being played sometimes :)

  • i think is overrated. the battery drain very fast, camera can't take picture in low light environment, fingerprint mTouch also can't work well.

  • otg is supported.lol

  • Go to site sarshield. There you will find sar value.but you will have to search for this phone as there will be hundreds of phones of many companies.

  • please I really want to buy this phone but I need to know sar values? there is someone who know sar value for this device???

  • What is the SAR for this phone ?

  • The MX4 Pro does NOT have USB-on-the-go, at least my 16GB version does not!

  • Guys i'm in India & i love to buy this mobile but its kind of complicated no trusted sites are available & in MEIZU mart the mobile is damn costly . Give me a solution . Any idea whether MEIZU is coming to INDIA. Thanks. in advance

  • Hi do you know sar value?

  • Where is SAR values?

  • Non removable batter is better then removal battery as it is factory fitted original battery its performance is much better.

  • Yes, by turning your phone into a mobile hotspot. From then, you can surf the internet using your laptop that is connected to your phone's wifi hotspot.

  • I want to know if it is possible to use it as a selolar modem like in the Samsung phones ? is it possible to make communication by the wi fi with laptop and then to surf it in the internet? sorry about my English, I hope you understand me . thank you any way . trumpet16

  • Hello SabahanTawaurian, your english skills doesn't matter as long as you get others to understand you on what you are trying to say. Nobody is perfect :) Its battery looks like it is removable because of how it was placed by Meizu at the back of the phone but i will tell you, IT IS NOT REMOVABLE. I think this issue is not a problem because most of the high-end phones today are unibody devices, which means they have non-removable batteries :) I hope this would help you a lot, bro :)

  • Hello Anonymous :) yes, it heats up like any other phones out there, specially when you start to use internet-enabled heavy applications like clash of clans but I think it is still acceptable and not a deal breaker. oh my, I really like its own Flyme OS, hard to get used to at the start but you will surely love it! What I like most about the phone is the AUDIO QUALITY and the SHARP DISPLAY. It is EXCELLENT. And the Slow Motion Video works efficient, but without sound. My basic opinion about this phone? well, i don't know, I just love it! Also, the battery will do you a day of average using :) Hope this would help you decide, bro :)

  • this phone is non-removable or removable? coz what i see on Josh Android Authority review, its removable. sorry for my bad english. i hope you get what im trying to say here :)

  • does it get heated on the back? what features do you like in it, or what do you like most about the phone? is the slowmotion video works good? and whats your basic opinion on this phone? ..i want to buy mx4 pro too, so that'll help. -thanks in advance

  • Hi all! I am currently using my own MX4 Pro to post this comment so feel free to ask me any questions regarding the device, I would be glad to help you with your concern :)

  • This is the best phone I have been used so far.Is really good for music. I think it will become one of the best Android phone in 2015.

  • The phone camera is really good especially the front camera. But when it comes to video camera recording, it really is frustrating. There is a lag while recording and the sound is really bad. It can't pick up the actual sounds while recording.

  • Does anyone Meizu mx4 pro heat up??

  • Give it the apple emblem and price will be higher than wiz khalifa

  • Any lolipop update news?

  • Best phone ever , i have been using this phone almost ten days no problems at all , performance very good no lag , batery it is ok you can switch from 3 mode to save batery depending you're needs , camera very good too , for diary use , heavy user for games , it's perfect , the best thing it flyme os , resolution 2k unbelievable mx4pro for far the best phone i have ever used , no heating problem.

  • I don't buy this phone, prefer removable battery.

  • Please don't buy this phone.. Have several hardware issue. Main issue is switching between apps, dam slow, a 2Gb ram mobile will perform better than this phone. An my main thing to worry is typing is very slow.. Worst mobile . Better go for Find7 or Vivo xplay 3s.. I am gonna sale this mobile as soon as possible. Only thing good is camera send audio quality in headphones. But xplay is better and superior in audio, camera, process and build quality.

  • Micro Sim.

  • What sim does it use???

  • Because MX4 Pro's display has more resolution than MX4's.

  • Why is the endurance battery lower than the mx4?

  • wow specs!

  • The back of the device is removable. So why the heck they choose so we can not replace the battery?

  • no sd card slot? why?

  • cz its chinese lol

  • doesnt have premium feel...i used it for a while.. camera is decent.. low light photos are other story.. a lot of noise. worst thing about this phone is it gets hot real quick..

  • Wish Meizu would get their sh*t together and release this phone in all the color schemes as depicted on their website. Only the black/grey version is available for purchase.

  • I think this phone is great & i will buy this or i will buy m1 note . there is no problem of storage because it also comes with 32gb of storage which is enough for everyone

  • No memory card slot, no removable battery!!! I'll keep my sammy.

  • yea sure, iPhones are all worthless... Their hardware and software superiority is arguable but pricing/resale is phenomenal.

  • the only BIG concern is that they hav not mentioned the number of cores present in the GPU......... anything less than hexa core will fail badly in performance...... it should atleast be mali t628 mp6........

  • the speed of the ram used in exynos 5430 is higher den dat used in snapdragon 801..... and i hav read at several places dat d lag dat occurs while switching between open apps is induced on purpose by the manufacturers for some purpose..... even samsung htc and lg phones hav dat small delay..... no idea about ur video question......

  • Hello Thank you for your reply,, yes i know, here in Gsmarena specifications page for Meizu Mx4 pro it says 2160p@30fps, 1080p@30fps ( check it pls ) .. thats why i asked about that point to make sure..i think we need someone who currently have the phone and using it right now to confirm that,, and also i need to know if there's a camera app on google play store that can provide that option. one more thing,, some people made a review on this phone before the release date, i mean before the phone become available to buy, i know that their review was on a sample units of the phone,, but most of them claimed that the RAM speed of this phone have an issue in switching between opened apps, and also a read/write issue, some of them even said that it's not a software issue,, and it could be a hardware problem, and the RAM speed benchmarks done on the phone really shows that its much slower that similar phones with similar amount of RAM, u heard of that? do you know if meizu fixed that issue or not? i Really love this phone so much,, waiting now to get my hands on the 64GB version,, but im little worry about this 2 points i said here ( the higher frame rate for 1080p video & the RAM issue ). i hope someone can provide us with more recent news about these 2 points..sorry for talking much again, thank you

  • No slot SD. Good resolution and camera but just only that. I go to Samsung Note 4.

  • Hey guy, that are not only 2k that are 4k Videos with 30fps. Of course with lower resolution it can 60 fps for 1080p.

  • Hello guys there's something i dont understand about the camera of this phone, i hope someone can clear this point up for me meizu mx4 pro uses Sony Exmor IMX220 camera sensor. so why there's no 1080p @ 60 frames per second? only 30 fps,, why? is it because the Exynos 5 octa can't support high frame rate? i dont think so,, or maybe its just a software matter,,can someone please explain? another question,, anyone know if it's possible to install a camera app or ROM for this phone to support a higher frame rate? waiting for your reply,,thank you guys

  • and if u want to compare it to d sd 805 version of note 4 den consider follwing points.... exynos has, 1) higher ram speed. 2) more cpu threads (multitasking) 3)Clearly smaller semiconductor size (20nm vs 28nm, less heat) 4) mali 628 gpu is clocked at higher speed (600mhz vs 500 mhz).

  • even d inferior meizu mx4 is beating note 4 in benchmarks..... u can check the official top 10 of antutu champions of this year..... that is why samsung is planning on an updated version of note 4 with snapdragon 810 coz note 4 failed to top d benchmark hall of fame...... m not saying dat der will be any reasonable difference in performance in d new one but benchmarks matters to most of d people today......

  • Burn-in rigs a bell???

  • Yeah, it only cost 290 dollars in China

  • mx4 pro have NFC

  • There isnt a competition, this phone is half the price and gets you ALMOST ALL features....

  • Beat Note 4 in benchmarks?? Seriously dude. This is using Exynos 5430 and Note 4 uses 5433. There is a big difference. And regarding the display, Note 4 has the best display in the market right now.

  • Why no Stock OS?

  • Any phone without expandable memory is worthless no matter how higher specs it have...

  • This set would be mega as a 5.5 inch and large bezels, the picture looks compressed.although It has quite a width.

  • This set would be mega as a 5.5 inch and large bezels, the picture looks compressed.

  • When could we expect a review for this phone? Thanks

  • Both Meizu MX4 Pro and VIVO have ESS Sabre DAC(ES9018K2M) to enhance the audio sound.

  • Both VIVO and Meizu MX4 Pro have ESS Sabre DAC(ES9018K2M)to enhance the audio sound.

  • u mean using sd card and spare battery are d qualities of advanced users????? i guess u wer joking...... i am n advanced user, i use cloud storage and usb otg for storage issues.... helps me hav a powerful yet compact peice of hardware..... and regarding battery, i say having a removable battery just for being able to use spare batteries in case of low battery situations is plain "STUPID"...... when u can use "what advanced people use" a "power bank"...... so a big LOL for ur criticizing......

  • hi,i am chinese.i am very happy to see you like this phone. i don't know if i can commment. i provide a website about the disassembly.

  • When would this mobile be available in India & what would be its price for the 16gb version? R there any service centres in Indore , India ?

  • for such high specs with no FM /radio is a teaser.....

  • Hi Bro When comes to Meizu no dual speaker , no SD slot , no removable battery but have u ever asked the same when u bought an iphone we end showing status .

  • HI Brother All say " Apple " , " Google " all had evolution of trail and error. Meizu origianally makers of iphone clone and slowly moved and started producing quality handset. Why i insist quality is HtC made Nexus 9 crap buttons dont have any feeling and since i bought in USA its not under watranty in India. Now Meizu has evolved form cheap clone manufacturer to unique handset device manufacturer. So end of day what u like decided and whn we fall for brand we lose and Handset manufacturers makes hell lot of profit. Apple makes nearly 400$ appx from each phone but still u end of not getting atleast 2 years of warranty

  • Cuz 64 gig is not nearly enough. I have a note 2 with 32 and a 64 sdcard and I'm still always trying to make room. This is a huge selling feature deficiency.

  • Check the meizu website

  • are we sure the mx4 pro doesn't have NFC?

  • Except iPhone has way more problems, both software and hardware. The only difference is it's more hyped so a lie (How perfect it is) repeated a hundred times has become the "truth".

  • Choose the one that you like. Nothing is perfect, even iOS crap too. Android is down to too many hardware setup, from low end to high end spec. So, the software itself will has issue, as it need to cope with too many kind of hardware, which will has compatibility issue, even it is claimed compatible. The hardware as well, never can guarantee all the hardware has no quality issue, due to much complex, advance and small chip set used, actually has much lower yield in production.

  • The problem is mostly in the hardware. Too many Apple-like compromises from (almost) all brands. Well i think iOS is crap too, but that's another story and this only concerns apple users anyway

  • Put aside phone brand, there will be only 4 smartphone platform currently we can choose from. IOS, Android, Windows Mobile, and BlackBerry. IOS and Android dominate the majority market share. If just compare the on the user experience, except BlackBerry, all phone OS actually are already pretty matured, and pretty much can cover all basic needs for a smartphone user. So, now, just the hardware is pretty much different in term of screen size, processor, battery, camera, and memory. Choose wisely on the phone that you think is better. Nothing wrong with the choice of OS. All of them are pretty good.

  • Well, we are complaining exactly because we don't want an apple phone, yet almost all phones are "apple" phones and there's not big choice

  • Still no sd and no removable battery...what exactly is "pro" about it? I thought "pro" phones are for advanced users

  • exactly

  • this would beat exynos note 4 in benchmarks anyday...... the only diff is dat it has a 32 bit processor and note 4 has a 64 bit processor..... but mx pro's processor is faster den note 4's. and 5.5 inch display is perfect just lyk lg g3. design is a little unoriginal but dats nothng abt performance...... pricing and avilability is very important here......

  • Please, make dual-SIM version of Meizu MX4 Pro! I beg you, please!!! I'm eager to get dual-SIM phone with great sound and do not offer me HTC M8, because it's not an audiophone, no matter how clean and loud is its sound. I have Alcatel Idol X+ now, but its sound is not so great I'd expect. Meizu and VIVO - forever!!!

  • maybe u need vga camera :)

  • Unfortunately missing the 1080p/60fps and image stabilising. Hopefully, to be solved in the following software. Also the 6in screen would be an advantage.. But in general, is a very good device! What about price?

  • People are complaining on the non-removable battery, no memory card slot, no radio. I agree I am one of the person who demand those feature. Simple, ten years old phone has those thing, and it is a standard feature for every phone. Well, you only can blame one phone maker, "Apple", which remove those feature on their phone, and people start to follow their step. Yet, many people are defending "Apple" for doing so, praise for their design beauty, thin and classy design, or whatever non-sense. Yet, people are complaining on Android phone if those feature are missing. I only can say, this has become a non-sense trend, and you only can choose. You still has the chance to choose. Don't listen to those people who said no problem if those feature are missing, bla bla bla. Each phone are made to suit specific user's needs.

  • I wonder if they will change their home design button to oval shape...hmmm this phone is quite interesting!

  • U can purchase it by internal memory size so y bother to have an microsd card expansion? Also powerbank r useful nowadays for non removable battery.

  • Its mainly because there lies a fingerprint sensor beneath it. They could've made it round, but then people will say Meizu is copying Apple. Meizu have had enough problems with Apple in the past. But yeah... it doesn't look nice after seeing the home key of MX4.

  • I would like to know the Price in U.S Dollars and how can I get it that have to go hunt for the phone.

  • Why card slot when you can get a 32 GB or 64 GB version? The removable battery is useful, the stereo speakers not really.

  • that is trully beast i so wanna it

  • sdsdc

  • Maybe, if we were in 2005.... But most of us have been fine with non-removable batteries, no SD card slots and no FM radios for years now, and don't miss them, or want them. If you really, really need it, a power bank is generally a more robust solution than a removable battery.

  • I love how this phone looks, in fact it is the best looking phone I've ever seen. But the lack of card slot, stereo speakers and radio are all deal breakers for me.

  • guess what there is a unique piece of invention to overcome this.............................POWER BANK!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the home button for this meizu version sucks, to improve its attraction i think for me they were needed to put the oval/round home button. other wise there is no quite deference with galaxy s2, which is the very outdated smart phone. all in all the phone is good

  • Who said that? MX4 runs mediatek and it efficient & tops benchmark

  • If you have a removable battery, you can buy an extra one, and fully charge both of them. This is a good idea when you want to go to a trip somewhere.

  • It can be easily removed. Just undo screws of inner cover. But any way - why on earth you need replaceable battery? Not a single tablet has it. And I have and had phones with non-replaceable battery, yet there has been never a need to remove it.

  • No removable battery and no card slot = Failed for an Android phone.

  • And gsmarena dont think the future is the same feature ...lear to do it before you did it or you can do it wrong...

  • Be serious Droid Ghost!

  • It looks similar to the Samsung Galaxy S2, but this looks better.

  • So GSM don`t think a Touch Fingerprint reader is a future...

  • Its praiseworthy

  • i dont except that this is built by samsung in korea :D :D and just written Meizu in back panel with bit different design, its a samsung + apple + some other oems, with design and specs :D :D

  • Specification is noteworthy. I was considering getting a Meizu MX4 but will skip for that and just wait for the Pro version release. Gold color looks great. Definitely will keep an eye on this smartphone

  • Yes you are right.well done Meizuuu

  • It's good that it will not run on Mediatek this time. Mediatek is crap.

  • They are beating Samsung with is own CPU. This phone is better than the Note 4 period. Very good price. Well done! I said it Chinese will kill Samsung.

  • 1536 x 2560 pixels, 5.5 inches with Aspect Ratio of 16:9.6 is very good on mobile phones. How I wish its screen is around 5.9 inches. Nonetheless, very beautiful design!
