Nokia 3555 - User Reviews

  • 96p!!!!!! Wow. Terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😝

  • my nokia is off and cannot turn it on how to fix it

  • Don't waste your money for buying this phone. It is worst one.It is not a good one phone. Thank You

  • Nokia was one of the earliest brands available, and their phones were very sturdy.battery life has never been ideal but back then there were customer service Representatives that knew how to speak English and were willing to help with a problem. Not so much anymore!

  • I bought this phone at 225 real saudi,.the software doesnt works after two day of my purchase

  • I am using dis fone 4 the past 3yrs.now de video camera is nt function.n i dont know y

  • I bought this mobile for CAD100.The battery was poor didnt last a day.Now the battery is replaced it functions better.

  • just keep pressing on the # putton

  • when i type a message there is a sudden lines below the letters that appeared,i can no longer type a word,,how can i erase the lines below the letters so i can type messages? thanks

  • I agree with the posters here on the battery life as I now have to charge mines almost every other day. I use the phone only to check my SMS and sometimes browse FB and this is absolutely ridiculous.

  • I agree with the other reviewers on the short battery life. Two weeks out of box and the battery holds the charge for one day on average. If I talk much on one day, it's even shorter. When I began to browse online, it drained the battery even faster. When I am inside a building with poor signal strength, the phone shuts down. I have owned it for 2 years now.

  • For those people who own this phone, try to remove the memory card (micro SD) and charge it to full and use it. I have noticed that the battery last more with this method. I think there is a flaw with the micro SD shorting out the components. (well mine lasted at least a week or so on standby via this method)

  • Folks, do not waste your money on this phone. It is very difficult to navigate, and has absolutely no battery life. I just now had a full charge and was on it for less than 15 minutes and it's already 1/3 gone! Also, still haven't figured out how to download the photos from the camera to the PC. This phone is rated a 1 out of 5 - for super LOUSY!!!

  • i just bought a nokia 3555 and we are having problems with the mini display shuting off, and it runs the battery low very fast we tryed to set the sleep mode but that has not worked can anyone help us...

  • this is hands down a very good phone, but don't push this phone to hard mine last a month, fried the flash chip or something, its a paper weight now because i use to html websites. lol.

  • A decent basic phone with an odd blend of low- and mid-range features. Its sporty exterior does not fit with its plain interior. No camera would have been better than the 0.3 MP VGA within. In so many ways the device screams 2003. I can't be unhappy, I paid US$60 for a refurbished handset to fill the void until the upgrade itch returns.

  • well i decided to buy based on the color and looks. it looked arty enough to me being an artist. too bad picasso is not in this one. have serviced the volume twice apparently you cannot afford to have friends who speak loudly.....eventually the audio gets tired of working and you end up saying pardon me...... sorry i bought on looks

  • Tony Simply Google "NOKIA 3555 user guide" and download as a PDF file.

  • I also lost my nokia 3555 manual. Did you get any reply from anyone? Please would you let me know by sending me an SMS message to 416-576-8786? Thanks. Tony

  • Its becz the phone does not support that format!!! you first need to convert that into a suitable format then u can set as ringtone>>

  • I lost my instructions booklet, Where and how can I buy one? or please give an E-Mail address to get a copy from the webb thanks CONRAD ELKISCH

  • Does this thing have callers ID?

  • HEy does any one know? I downloaded a ringtones on my pc and put it into the phone but it said, "unable to set as ringtone" does anyone know why this happens ? thnks

  • Is this phone okay now.

  • This phone is not so good.....the camera sucks, the cound quality is horrable, and is generally hard to navigate. any advice on better phones for cincinnati bell???

  • it does die fast shut off unexpectidly and its camera suck unless it bright or sunny but like what you said it a piece of crap! :P

  • can you use the phone in europe? is it triband?

  • I have this phone and had it about a month now and have had no problem but it wont let me send or recieve mulitmedia messages! Impossible to break so i would have a way to get a diff phone if I could go back I would have got a diff phone

  • text messages always stick.lots of issues .

  • i live in jamaica and am a phone technition my personal phone is nokia 3555 it work ok very good signal and battery now am useing it and the claro network

  • junk

  • I am quite disappointed with this phone. It shuts off unexpectedly, which is quite embarassing especially when speaking with someone. It is annoying, lately I was receiving calls, but could not hear the caller. Sometimes people call me and are of the opinion that I do not want to answer, but the phone appears to be on but just not ringing!!!! I need a replacement!

  • I live in jamaica and i have a nokia3555 and i dont have any problem with it

  • We were told by the cellular company I work for to have customers go to company stores for free battery to correct the shut off/down problem

  • Just reading this I can see it is a flaw, but it should be correctable. It appears no one has tried to take it back to correct the issue under warranty.

  • well all i gOt 2 sayy bOut mahh fOne izz tht itzz madD fuqqIn hOtt!!!!!!! althOugh fOr sOme fluqqin reasOn theyy kept sayinn 2 put mahh PUK codee wich i have nO idea watt itt izz yahhhh weelll zeee gOt 2 gO nOw > ORRR >

  • THE NOKIA 3555's problem of shutting off without apparent reason is a design flaw, the tension in the spring at the positive contact is too low to keep the battery in contact with the negative pole. if you bought it already like me just wedge a small piece of paper between the actual phone and positive side of the battery (not between the contact) this will prevent the battery from shifting away from the negative pole which is what causes the phone to shut off.

  • It's a piece of crap phone. The only thing good about it is the mp3 player. It randomly shuts off while in the middle of a phone call or while txting. Infact just yesterday I was on a phone call and it shut off 5FIVE5FIVE5FIVE5555 TIMES! The battery dies less than 24 hours. My old nokia was better than this, it's battery use to last a week! I just bought it 5 months ago and within the first 2 months it started acting like a load of poop. It was a waste of money. I'm not buying nokia anymore.

  • it's the best phone i ever had.i love the red one

  • it's such a neat and pretty phone. i love the red one.it's definately my style

  • i know

  • I have one of these phones and it sucks. it shuts off on me, its battery dies so fast and it just crap

  • You're better with a SE W300i.

  • Phone keeps going off automatically. Not worth it. Seems to be a bit long when opened too. Not pleased

  • Phones in Jamaica are generally costly. It's not a good idea to buy one here. I live in Jamaica and I would prefer to get a phone from abroad which works out cheaper. As for this Nokia 3555. It's crap! Battery life is poor and it also shuts off on me...though not often. I need to get a new phone.

  • This is a poor phone. I have one, and my wife has one and we both have the same problem. It seeming randomly shuts off. This happens several times a day, when talking, or not. For me it's more annoying that the phone turns off when not on it, because you go several hours not knowing the phone was off and if someone was trying to call you. While off, we don't receive voicemail reminders, and once it's back on, it doesn't tell you, so you may even have voice messages and not know it. I've had other Nokia's in the past and been well pleased (good reception, quality), but this phone is poor. Why can't Nokia just make a good phone without adding a bunch of unnecessary features. I don't need an MP3 player and camera built in, I have those things. (I do like having a backup camera around though.)

  • This phone is total junk.As undependable as the weather. If you really need your phone for work do not buy this one.You would be better off with a beeper and a payphone!!!!!

  • Same for me.You would be better off with an old bag phone.

  • This is the worst phone I have ever owned.I bought it new 5 months ago and am on my third replacement. My most recent one is 4 days old and already getting hot, dropping calls, using a full battery charge in 3 hours and making echoing noises during a conversation. And it was not that inexpensive either at $169.00.At this point I want to try and get a different phone because of all of the problems.

  • i have this phone 3 months now and it blank off ever so often on a call playing video's (when playing video's don't press pause).

  • this phone is nice on the outside. ut it shuts off on me when i am texting at least 7 or plus times a day,its extremely annoying. i would not recomend for anyone to get this phone. and i totally agree, the back of the phone gets very hot.

  • I think this phone is a piece. Its nice for looks and I feel real cool showing my frieds my 200+ songs on it. but when it shuts off on them in mid conversation; things get awkward. Then when i talk with my boss at work it goes crazy. My GF claims it makes annoying noises while we talk. ***Also I've noticed its backside gets hot when its used. like i hold it up to a fan in my room to cool it off. Am i The only one with this problem???

  • You said the battery last only one day. Was the phone just on standby or did you listen to MP3?

  • Isn't bell cdma?

  • The Nokia 3555 is the worst pile of junk i have ever laid my fingers on. I have taken good care of it, and the battery never lasts a whole day and the phone shuts off almost everytime i recieve a call or try to call someone. If you have any choice in the matter, please head my adice and do not choose the Nokia 3555. I used to trust Nokia, no longer.

  • I have this phone. The way they have the phone set up is nice... however the hardware is crap everything from the back that is hard to put back on... to the cheap vga camera thats in it.. also the fact that i have to charge it at least twice a day if im lucky enough to get it to charge due to the fact that the charger port on the phone moves around which creates a short so you can barely get it to charge.. and also it randomly shuts off.. im glad that all i paid for this phone was the 10.00 shipping on it through t-mobile because my old samsung w490 in black phone broke for the 3rd time... i loved that phone so much more other than every 3-6 months the screen would break... but it wasnt cheaply made like this one... i wouldnt recomend this phone to anyone that needs a reliable phoen.

  • i have this phone in red. it is amazing. i love it. except it decides to randomly shut off by its self sometimes. =/ but other than that and it dying so fast. its a really good phone!!

  • I recently replaced the Nokia that came with my local Ma Bell's cellular plan with the Nokia 3555 when they sent me a flyer offering a $100 discount on the product. I ended up paying ~$50USD for the phone, and after using it for a couple of weeks I think I should have stuck with my old phone, beat up and practically an antique though it was. The first thing I noticed about the 3555 is that the phone really could have done with a better camera. I don't care that the camera is junk because I can't ever imagine using it aside from the occasional snapshot, but why bother adding one to the phone when it's virtually useless? My 1.3mp internal laptop camera takes far superior photographs, and they are nothing to write home about under the best circumstances. It just seems a waste--a cheap gimmick to drive up the price of the phone rather than a functional feature to improve the end user's experience. The battery life is terrible. I have read that it offers ~240 hours stand-by or 3 hours talk time--my experience has shown that I can expect significantly less than half of that span under optimal conditions. The form and function of the phone is not terrible though. I had to keep the keys locked on my old Nokia because every time I closed the phone it would somehow press the button in the upper right corner, connecting the phone to the internet without my knowledge. My new phone circumvents this issue by placing two small buffers just below the buttons and an upward sweep to the bottom end of the units body. The 3555 appears to lack the sturdiness of previous models I have owned. The last Nokia I had withstood several ~5ft. high drops onto wood and tile floors. I recall 2 occasions when I dropped my last phone onto concrete from chest and ear level with only a few surface scratches to show for either occasion. Without testing my suspicions, I fully expect that a fall from a few feet onto most surfaces would leave the 3555 in pieces. I am not sure if this has been a common issue, but I have also been having trouble connecting my new 3555 to either of my computers via USB. Maybe the phone just does not play well with Vista, because I bought a data cable that purports to support the phone and downloaded the latest version of Nokia PC Suite to no avail. The phone acknowledges the connection when plugged into the USB port via the cable, but I cannot get the Nokia PC Suite software to recognize the connection. Some of the software seems to be more than a bit counterintuitive, but I dislike the way most cell phones are organized. I do like the secondary (external) displayit is nice for screening calls or checking the time without opening the phone. I am not hitting on all salient points, but I should mention in closing that the Nokia 3555 is not a purchase I would make a second time. Even getting the phone at 1/3 the store price, I feel that I overpaid for this unit. In my final analysis, I think the phone boils down to a relatively functional (depending on what you want in a phone) if finicky and cheaply constructed basic cellular phoneone with few frills and fewer useful features. The Nokia 3555 handles similarly to the kind of unit companies give away with new subscriptionsif you are actually paying for one, I submit that however good a deal you are getting, you are probably paying too much money based on this models durability alone.

  • i have this phone in red and i love it except u need 2 charge it constantly

  • Some body send it to me but i was wondering if it is cool....

  • my mom bought this phone, she got at 179.99 in Panama... i like the functions it has, but its kinda weird.. when its opened its too long, looks like a "primitive" wireless telephone(i think si =P) and also it uses too much battery

  • I think this phone was very expensive, baught in Jamaica. my regret though, it has no radio which i really needed.

  • we were given the Nokia3555 free(which is what its worth) to pacify us from going to another service. I hate it. It has a flimsy plastic cover that comes off very easily it is very cheaply made. To look at a picture of it is one thing but to have one is another. it looks cheap. I think of it as a disposable phone that wont last long.the features are even toy like. I am not happy at all. Might be ok for a teen or child...Not a serious durable phone you expect to last.

  • it's kooooooooooooooooooooool, a super investment for those on the go!

  • I recieved this phone as a replacement for my Samsung Stripe Black. It works great although it takes a little time to complete simple tasks and the battery runs down quickly. I like the phone very easy to use and and really lightweight.

  • Bought this phone yesterday (Sat 19 July, 2007). Paid $111 US for it (post-paid plan). It actually costs $200 US on a pre-paid plan. What attracted me to it is its contemporary design compared to other available phones. My last phone was a RAZR, which lasted just over two years then died suddenly because of the flexing strip finally gave way, I'm told. The 3555 Nokia has so far lived up to my expectations, which means that I am pleased with it. However, Nokia should have included a headset and a data cable in the package. The 30 MB of internal memory might be inadequate for some folks but they can buy a microSD (TransFlash)card, up to 4 GB.

  • Its a really nice phone, but a little too expensive, i didnt even get any headphones, or data cable. Nothing!!!! its a nice phone altogether. The batteries dont really go down that much. I would recommend it

  • this is a very nice fon yes i wud like a better camera but its cool the design is nice i really like it no probs

  • nice loking phone bv the main screan is to small 30 to 40 wel its going to compeat whith the nokia 2630 and samsung e250 and SE W200 and the SE T250 i ges its the 2760 upgrade

  • I bought this phone after being told that it was "exceptional", I should've waited until there were enough reviews online to realize that it is a huge heap of crap. I've replaced the battery 3 times and had it repaired once (the '6' stopped working). I've only had it since April 16th. It's flimsy, it creaks when it opens and the keys are made of cheap plastic, so they stop working all the time. Definitely not worth the $263 CDN that I paid for it.

  • Nokia can do better: 1. not an attractive design; 2. should have a 2. megapixela camera. Nokia is still no. 1 for me

  • very very cheap ugly phone. it is looks a lot like somehting my son would play with.

  • Looks like a kid's play phone toy. LoL.

  • Looks clean, all one color and very simple.. but also looks very cheap.

  • Ew! it looks like a VERY PRIMITIVE PHONE! what a very cheap design! Worse than the design of motorola... c h e a p !

  • This model of nokia looks very nice. It is easy to say that nokia 3555 is the best external appearance than any other folding handset. It should be added the price range for the customer.

  • this isnt a texters phone but its good for someone who wants to make and recieve calls i have one and it works well

  • the 1st time i saw this phone i cant believe that this is a NOKIA phone..the style is way too different from the usual nokia model..great job nokia...u

  • I like the the look. would have been nice if it had a radio. the upgrade should have a little roundness to it. Nokia flips are usually too square..(not that there are many)

  • outlook of this set is awesome but navigation facility of using internet is not that much good.

  • avalible in canada on rogers network april 1st

  • This mobile is very much different from other old mobile sets. is it available in pakistan.

  • it looks like a nice phone. but we dont have it in south afrika....... WhY?!?

  • i work for tmobile and i am ashamed

  • it`s a verry ugly phone..

  • Hi...4gb micro SDcard on a phone that only has a VGA camera and a low end quality media player??? Forgive me but.... for what???????

  • another low end clamshell phone for europe...wow..suprise suprise.. I love clamshell phones, but why are they always made to be so "dumb"...

  • the design is uncommon for a nokia, but that the only thing i can judge.

  • Horable design, nokia how could you, thats the most ugliest phone i have ever seen

  • nokia is not really very good when it comes to clampshell phone design and this one just prove it. a 3g phone with a VGA camera? at least it should have a 1.3MP camera! Aaaargh!

  • Ugly design

  • Probably the nastiest looking clamshell of the year.

  • nokia always make funny designs and weird features :)

  • Well this phone is out since like 3 months and it seems like a great value for the money. People please dont expect high end feeatures for this phone because its an entry level 3G phone. Its better than most phones on this price range (like SE Z320 or Motorola W375) and its true that it supports up to 4gb cards.

  • i think this model doesn't have 3G, can you please check for us

  • Is a failure...worst design...

  • Very weird phone. Weak battery, VGA camera, no radio, supports up to 4 GB?

  • I have one and I didn't no I had a flash lite on it. The black one is nice. vibrate stpped working. USB? Just find the cable for it 1st then I'll let you know how easy it is to use your MP3 player

  • Ermm it looks like a Motorola! LOL

  • Umm okay? So you people aren't really interested with this phone?? Only has less than 500 hits and 4 votes. LOL! BTW I'm second post

  • I like it. Preferably it would be cheap(2 out of 10, i hope) and it has mp3+card slot. I think I may go for it. I'd prefer the black version though.
