  • If it is asking for a code that means the phone is locked for a specific network. You need to unlock it. There are lots of forums you can find in the net. Just google it.

  • i have a nokia 6103 asking for a restriction code what is that code

  • WE have had the phone for over a year used and abused it it's the best; How ever we have been trying to find a connection cable to hook it up to the computer to tranfer our pictures; were can we buy one at??? Tony B

  • Can you upgrade this kind of phone? like, add memory or something? I just had mine last week, been given.

  • Yes you can

  • Can you use nokia PC Suite with this model?

  • i have had this phone for a year, and it has been great the mic is going out on it, i think it may just be dirty, but the best phone i have have for duribility. it has been dropped and keeps going. two thumbs up

  • Hi There is a button on the right side of the phone, if you press it, it enables ptt. If it doesn't then try holding it for a couple seconds.

  • How to set PUSHTALK function ?

  • how to download music from the internet to this cellphone?

  • i've had this phone for two years now and it's never had a problem. i take good care of my things but i've dropped it on cement, on roads, on stone floors on accident and it's always pulled through. i think it's an amazing little phone and does everything i need it to.

  • The peeling of the back makes the phone look worn out. I suggest you either replace the back or remove the peeling completely.

  • This phone is simple enough to use and has some great features. The camera quality could be improved. Beside that, the only thing lacking is the ability to support external memory. I had one for two years and it has fallen several times.

  • how can i unlocked the phon?

  • memory is very low

  • The Nokia 6103. The Fone Is "OK". Its Great When It Comes To Calling. What I Dont Like About The Fone Is When I Take As Many As Like 3 Pics It Says "Memory Full". The Fone Is Also VERY Sensitive!! Im Getting A New Fone. Because This Fone Is Torn Apart. It Started With The Screen Cracking And One Thing Led 2 Another And Now The Fone Is Just Torn Apart. I Would Recommend This Fone For A Preteen.

  • I had this phone for abt 2 yrs! It lasted long Imust say! I have had many things happening to this phone! Very durable, except for the front screen! Very sensitive, within 2 mths, the screen cracked! Another downfall, is the memory! Not enough! But, otherwise, It's a good phone! Recommended for you, I think not, maybe for your kid!

  • good phone has not many problems except memory. i have had it for 2-3 years and still works i have drop it 10 000's times, whip across pavement at my friend screens went negative then worked. also i can take the screen out and put back while its on and still will work

  • I had this phone about 10 months and now i have to replace it. After the 1st month the front screen cracked. i had in my pocket and was leaning against a wall (really sensitive) A few months later the inside screen went (i dont know why) so i had to get that fixed , now months later the screen keeps blanking white every few seconds. I see that it happened to someone else so i dont know if i got a defect

  • I have had this phone for a about a year now. It has worked out okkk for me. One downside is that the button on the left side of the phone to turn up the volume is broken. Also, the plastic on top is starting to peel. Overall, the phone is great. :)

  • Have this phone for about 2-3 years now, no problems really. Actually in all this time it froze up only once while I was sending a MMS and that's it. Only downside is the memory if you need it. However, I don't actually need it most of the time so for mms and phone calls excellent option. I don't concur with the camera problem, it's not so bad. I mean there are much better options around however up close the camera can really show something well. Overall a great cell phone and I'm not sorry I bought it even though it has a memory problem (which i substitute by transferring everything on my computer over bluetooth).

  • Lots of problem with this phone. Displaying "Test Mode" or "Local Mode". Could not Charge Battery... showing.. "Not Charging" in Display.

  • If you liked it, why did you replace it? Why couldn't you just continue with the provider month-to-month with the same phone?

  • Well I found this fone okay..bec of its memmory, camra and the one common problem of the peeling off of cover it is not liked.. basically phone is good for using calls.but bec of the storage problem and camra it is not preferable..that all I can say

  • its been a good phone, and put up with a lot of abuse but after a year the buttons stopped working and so did the charger ]: time to get a new one!!

  • I got this phone about 2.5 years ago and I love it. I never had the black peeling off of the back, I never had any problem with it and I'm sad to get a new one and see it go.

  • is it find mp3 or no 6103

  • This devices was good for Us, but need some features to add Japanese/Koreans T9-Dictionary writing language system in any nokia region phones model. ( MSG: To all staff of NOKIA's OS programer must be read it. Thanks ).

  • so whatr if the black peels off there is metal or whatever underneath the coating!

  • I have had this phone for two years now and on the whole have been happy with it all bar the speaker phone, have not got it to work properly. The other comment I have is that the black does peel off?

  • Okay, I had this phone for 4 months and it went to a white screen (twice) had to reorder and customer service actually told me there is major flaws in the phone. I hate the fact that it has VERY LITTLE MEMORY, and once in awhile it will just shut down. The pictures and text messages; not so bad because you can write up to 6 pages without having to do seperate messages but honestly its not worth it. Now if you want something simple and don't care about video/pictures then this phone isn't that horrible. Try a Samsung, they are MUCH BETTER!

  • Wow! All these crappy reviews and why? Because it don't perform like a $700 phone! Good grief people, get a grip! If you want a phone for a music machine or for high quality photograps or to use as a gaming device, go buy such a phone and stop wasting yourtime with a phone that was pretty much meant to be - wait for it - "a phone"

  • I've had this phone for about half a year now. It is a horrible phone, I do not recommend it. Speakerphone makes the voice sound normal, where as normal you can't even hear it. No memory whatsoever. Every time i take one video I have to delete it because theres no room on the memory. I have 9 pictures, no videos, and the memory is already full. I even had to delete some of the ringtones and themes that come on the phone to make room to download one game. It comes with a few ringtones, but they aren't all that good. The good thing is that there is a voice recorder, that you can record whatever you want then set that as your ringtone. There is one theme. A blue ripple, it gets annoying seeing it over and over again... NOT A GOOD PHONE.

  • this model sucks myself and my wife got this model. It is such a delicate model and more over i dont know who designed that coating..within weeks they start peeling. My advice never go for that black coated models ever

  • its an ok phone except for the fact it has very little memory. i had this fone for over 4 months and i'm planning to buy a new one... because when i open it, it makes sounds... good phone for those who dont mind very little memory. i hate the camera...

  • This is by far my favourite phone I've ever owned. I've been using it for 2 years with no glitches until this past weekend when the fold cracked, but I've been able to find a replacement on ebay. The one feature I love is the sort of rubber plastic hard casing, that when dropped, protects your phone. The outer casing is slightly scratched from over the years, but the phone itself works wonderfully still. I hate to even have to switch to a different one even if it's the same model. This is the only nokia phone I've ever really liked.

  • this phone has an extremly good battery life. 8 days standby with average 20 minutes of call per day.

  • customer you should do your homework and read all review before getting sucker into takeing a nokia camara phone free with bluethooth for 2 year contract and i do mean con, however i somehow did, this is not about the contract its setting up your security code.i won't go into detail my advice bewear!! be very carefull.4/1/08

  • I used this model(nokia 6103) from August 2006...and until now I still using it. when I first used it my friend and relatives said that this model is not good. But until today 30 March 2008, I still using this handphone and still in good condition.

  • I bought this cellphone this morning ( March 26)... hope it wont run out that easy... as i read those opinions, i feel nervous...

  • I bought this phone in Trinidad for seven 700.00 and it is very inferior. It only last just about one year before I was forced to buy a new phone. After all that is what you get for buying a cheap phone.

  • hey i have had my Nokia 6103 for a year and half and its not a very good phone. i have had so much trouble with it the front scene is cracked and i did not crack the scene i keep very good care of my phone. the memory sucks and it skin is cracking :(

  • it has bad camera!!

  • this phone is cute.. i noticed it.. tell me it is a cute phone

  • It is an ok phone. The camera sucks, but i mean for an everyday phone it is economical.

  • Hi, This phone I have for about 1,5 year and I have to say ,that it's working very good.it has small memory and bad camera but for everyday use is a good phone.dont forget that this is a phone not a computer...

  • Hello I want to fix Nokia 6103 How can i open it(pieces of it)? Show me by pictures and figures

  • i want to fix it. how can i open nokia 6103 please show me with picture and figure

  • I love the phone except It will not allow me to add a ringtone to a specific number, ugh, hate that. Sucks cause it's just a year old and cannot upgrade, would have to pay full price for another.

  • To All: I suggest Nokia 6233 if you have a budget, , it rocks with all it's features, hehehe, it has an stable OS, durable, 2 MP cam, VGA video recording, take note VGA!!!!, astonishing, stereo sound, take note again 3D stereo sound!!!! Awesome, and memory ecandable up to 2GB!!!! Yeah!!! and many more!! radio, 3G for fast web browsing, friendly user interface, fast menu, and QVGA display, very bright and legible under direct sunlight, YEAH!!!

  • Had this phone for a year now and love it - reliable, neat and SIMPLE ! no frills but does what it says on the packet - text, rings and takes photo's - that's enough for me.

  • this fone is working fine for me, if its quality photo and an expandable memory slot is what you are looking for, then find another model. This fone is excellent for the features it has.

  • i badly need this phone!!!

  • No memory whatsoever.....and you can't increase it

  • stay away from this phone!!! worst phone ever. I had this phone for a year and i was overjoyed to get rid of it, it has no memory, the plastic coating is coming off, the photo quality is terrible ( but you can only store about 2 photos because of the no memory factor)when you answer the phone i had to press the answer button a few times before it responded, by that time it was to late arrrgghh !

  • my nokia 6103 is fine but the INFARED dosent working how i can fix this stuff my INFARED DOSENT WORING PLSS HELP

  • i've had this mobile for over a year, its peeling off the and the keypad sometimes falls off. my brother had one like it as well and his small front screen turned all blue. if you open and close it twice after each other it becomes a white screen. with that there's a very low memory, you contantly have to remove things. and u cant zoom whilst taking a photo. A definite nono for whoever wants to buy this mobile. save up for a better one

  • very bad bad phone, ive had mine for abt one year and im really fed up. the screen always goes blank and i cant read my sms's, low phone memory and it looks extremely horrible when it starts peeling. every time i look at my phone i want to scream.

  • great phone,i have abused it,dropped in water, and it has fallen out of a semi that use to drive and after all that it is in great working condition, previos phone was a motorola v300 and it was horrible battery would die after just a couple hours after charge. this phone blows it out of the water.

  • This phone SUCKS. It just breaks. That's all it does. The side button where you adjust your volume is the first to go. My screen cracked, worked for a week, and now it's completely white. Nothing works!!

  • for me it s my most favorable part of having and acquiring such magnificent 6103 nokia phone, bcoz of the fact that it gives me d opportunity to connect and touching lives n any place of the world...... its really amazing!!!!!!!!!!so much lovable and something to treasure, valuable investment in anyways.......... greetings frm me ruthgar dagami sumayo 29 frm calbayog city samar philippines... thank u

  • I love this phone is very usefull. Is funny look at people post that complains about no memory expansion or low memory. Guy's please realize this, for the price of this phone you can't have all that stuff, buy an 5300, 5700, N Series, 6300 or so. Of course, if you but this phone is because you can't afford an more complete one. So, post an comment in base of this phone and not in base of the lacks. CYA

  • My wife and I have these phones. THEY SUCK! We have had 3 of them break so easily! If I was a contruction worker or played full-pad football with them, then I would expect them to break. But of all the phones I have owned, this model is by far the WORST!

  • Ive had this phone for about a year now ive had no problems with it wahat so ever

  • this phone is awful the outside peels off, you cant expand the memory, and the outside screne broke in my pocket for no appearent reason there was a big black spot on it the biggest disadvantage is the low memory u have to delete things all the time

  • Thinking about buying a Nokia 6103? Run away!!! The screen gets an "evil eye" (on 2 different phones for me.) My wife has an old Nokia and its been great for her.

  • My wife has (had) this phone fopr several months - after the first full charge we could never get it to fully recharge again. Returned to Centennial Wireless, who replaced the battery the first time, and the home charger and battery again a few (6-7) weeks later. In the meantime, it never fully charged (and does not keep a charge very long either (a day in standby). It does not get heavy use and has not been phyically abused. Centennial replaced it for no charge with a 6102 - which has exactly the same problem! My Nokia 3560 will hold a charge for 5-6 days; this one a day and half if you are lucky.

  • I love this phone! I bought a red one. There are 2 small disadvantages to this phone, but yet they are so small that it really doesn't matter. They are: the mini screen on the inside after time with opening and closing it, gets a little scratched, and the 2nd is that the volume button on the side is easy to bump.

  • I would not recomend puting this phone in your pockit I have had two of them brake. The first one 3 months after I got it. The second one just one week. Both displays broke in my case making both phones usless. My wife tells me Im just hard on phones untell a frend of hers had the same problem. It broke when she put it in her pocket and sat down.

  • I had my 6103 for approximately 1 year. I liked this phone despite its shortcomings (mainly a small amount of memory, and screens with images that aren't very sharp). Recently, I took my phone out of my pocket, and I had blue blotches with white lines radiating down from the top of the external display, which made the external screen unusable. I was at work. I do not have a physical job, and I do not believe I did anything that should have harmed the phone. The worse part is it happened one day after the warranty ran out.

  • You should be able to use this phone the way people normally use a cell phone without having problems. Having it alone in a pocket, purse or on a table, counter etc or even a small drop should not cause it damage. There is no reason why a phone should HAVE to be babied. This is a cell phone and they are meant to be carried in a pocket or purse. What good is as cell phone that cannot be used normally??

  • Lines going across LCD screen that look like crack or Big blob that looks like an ink blot in the middle of the LCD screen! T-Mobile claims "liquid damage" and won't honor the warranty. How ironic. Please be proactive and contact consumer affairs, BBB, CUB, and get your problem noted!

  • large blot on caller id, white slashes bad phone!!!!!

  • We purchased 2 Nokia 6103 phones in December and 3 weeks ago 1 outside LDC display got a huge black spot, and now the 2nd phone just got a large black spot on the outside LCD. T-mobile claims it must be abuse - No Way! One was in a purse in the house, the other was sitting on the kitchen counter and all of a sudden it sprang a spot!

  • i don't have this phone yet but i red all the comments that they have posted and majority of them says that this nokia model is not too good. maybe nokia company might come up with the nicest one

  • i bought this phone for my son not even 3 months ago. and the other day he was talking on it and it just turned off and now it wont turn back on???? i have no idea what to do t-mobile wont cover it without charging me 100.00..

  • Just to say memory is too short, in future mobiles with big memory and better pixel camera will be more popular, i advised nokia that they must come up with the memory solutionb both for old sets sold or new one on, on the other hand they may be lost the goodwill

  • Bought this phone in late August 2007. exactly 1 week after buying it, the lcd display developed three horizontal white lines across the display. The phone never even left the kitchen, as it was intended as a second phone. It just sat on a table charging and turned on. Not impressed. Nokia is not my choice for my next phone. No way.

  • Got the phone under TMobile contract. Screens went blank about 2 weeks after I received it. Somehow got it back up 2 weeks later...both screens are blank again. I can make calls by dialing the #, receive calls...cant tell by whom though. Screens light up but just no interface. I like the look and feel of this phone but It the inards are much to be desired. You cannot assign individual ringtones...feature doesnt exist in this phone. Nokia dropped the ball on a potentially good product.

  • Bought it yesterday and after one hour the main display went white, nothing to see! I'm not happy

  • Is there anyway to add additional memory to this phone? Have had the phone for about 4 months and I am happy with the other features just need more memory...why offer MP3 capability when you can even fit 3 songs on the phone

  • to me, i have used the phone for like 7months now and it has served me well.the only problem it has is its storage capacity(very small).

  • Iv had the 6103 since dec 06 top of fone is coming away now Im told to take it service centre Im reginal Vic this is in Melb for them to c if its under warrenty for wot the problem is I have not ill treated this fone or dropped it also near not enough mem. Do not get this fone!!!

  • We purchased a family plan from T-Mobile and selected their Nokia 6103 phones, 4 of them. About 6 months later, one of the developed a football shaped blot on the front display screen, blocking it out almost completely. It looks like the liquid leaked out. First thing I wanted to find out was if it had been dropped, or smashed somehow, but it had not. I went through T-Mobile's customer service and our phones were under warranty for a year so they sent me a replacement and we sent the defective phone back to them. Next billing came with a $100 plus fees charge on our bill. Now they tell me that the phone had to have gone under some "undue" pressure for that to happen. They finally explained, after telling them that one of the other phones on the plan is now doing the same thing, that it could happen from putting it in your pocket with a set of keys! The phone should be good enough for my kids to put the phone in their purse or athletic bag without ruining it. Anyway, they're telling me to contact Nokia to have them explain it to me. What I want to know, is if there are any other Nokia 6103's out there with this same problem, and Nokia not replacing them for you at no charge. In other words, is this phone's exterior screen defective or so weak that it will never last under normal cell phone usage? Time to start a class action against Nokia if there are enough people with the same problem????

  • The Nokia 6103 is theworst phone we have had. Do not purchse or accept this phone as a free phone. T mobile will not stand behind the phone. we purchased 5 phones. In less four months all have had problems, some have multiple problems. three have broken front screens. one broke at the hinge point and is in two pieces. One shuts off for no reason. One of the phones with the damaged front screen now has a blank screen on the inside. It is useless except to use speed dial. T moibile or Nokia do not stand behind the faulty product.

  • the worst handset that nokia had ever made, blank lcd, dies constatntly.

  • I use this phone for 10 months. Repaired 6 times and still not good (white screen, pc connection and bluetooth problems, sound problems etc.)

  • the nokia 6103 is very good and i can take beuty pictures from macchupicchu in my contry peru

  • ive had this phone for xmas it's not all that but it's nice!i'm gonna buy the lg kg800 chocolate.. but i've heard rumors of it not working as it should soooo hopefully it works! wish me luck!

  • i have had the phone since christmas. i personally would tell you do not get it because it has so many problems. i am on my fourth one and it always has the same problems. white screen, wont turn on, turns off out of nowhere when the battery is still charged.

  • One of the worst nokia phones i have had. its VERY slow. key pad scratched screen right away. just very bad all around looks nice new cant hold many pictures. i love nokia most there phones are great but this one.

  • I have my nokia 6103 by a half of a year. Phone is just beautiful. I recommend it for everybody.

  • it is the most wonderful fone ever

  • this is such a rubbish fone... there is not one day where it doesnt crash for no reason... totally crap, not recomended at all... there is like no memory as wel the screen scratches from its own buttons... wtf!!!!!

  • We had two Nokia 6103 and both faces on them got scratched from the key pad right away and then both display screens cracked with in a short time of owning them- always had a preference for nokias- owned one for 5 years no problems on it but would not suggest this one

  • Alot of people have been saying that the Nokia 6103 is not loud enough. The reason for that is the phone is shipped on low volume. So you have to change the volume loudness while you are talking to someone.

  • If you read the specks on this phone you would actually think it is a very good phone. However it does not have much memory. My phone just holds 4 pictures. If anyone knows how i can store more pictures on my phone please Hola. you are all welcome to the island of sand and sea.

  • I have had the Nokia 6103 for almost a year now. i like the design but I dont think my next phone will be a Nokia 6103. The sound is bad.it is difficult to hear anyone calling you. at first I thought I had a hearing problem but I discovered it is the fone with a problem. The screen scratches badly and the colors are bad during daytime. I now hate it and would like to change immediately. Which one is better? a 6131 or 6133?

  • Does anyone know how to change de IMEI of this phone? I purshise one on the street is banded for all Telcos

  • great features and easy to use but sound is awful! has anyone tried the Nokia 6085? what's the 411 on the 6085? Any better than 6103 or worse. Stay away from 6103 if you want to hear the person on the other end without breaking and missing most of what they say or they miss what you are saying. If you want a small easy to navigate phone then maybe it is okay but sound wise is OUT!

  • I have had to switch this 6103 4 different times and each phone always seem to have a defect. The sound is terrible it goes up and down. The backlight does not stay on long enough and the phone just goes to a complete blank screen for no apparent reason from time to time especially while texting or receiving a multimedia message. I do not recommend it! I am getting ready to do away with the one I have now and switch to something different.

  • i think the phone looks great......however i would not like to get one........

  • awww why does nokia realese this crap i cant even use it in one day bcoz of its battery i almost use the unit for 2-3 hours thats why i need to bring that my charger waaaaaaa dont buy this crap - pinoykill

  • its a good phone with basic features. vga camera, bluetooth, dual color display - as i said 'basic features'. good battery life. only complaint, the external covering, its got a rubbery coating which wears off. T-mobile said its manufacturing fault and i'll get a replacement.crashed 1 or 2 times. used it for a yr.

  • Do anybody kno how to make the picture appear bigger wen somebody call??????

  • I bought this phone 8 months ago and it constantly crashes and tells me the sim card is not recognized or insert sim card. I like the feel of the case but now feel this phone is out of date. Was not bad value for money but feel that being made in China is a bit of a drawback for Nokia quality control. I like the look of the V3i and will probably buy one after I can get my hands on one to get the feel of it.

  • The phone is cool.its flip, camera and all but the space is to little

  • Nice phone for the price, but too small memory.

  • A piece of crap! It constantly crashes, this plastic is terrible! A poor copy of good Motorola v547.

  • 6103 oh 6103 i luv u

  • It's a cool phone however it has too little memory, but i guess it's cool for the price with radio, infrared, camera and bluetooth

  • It`s a very good phone but, like other phones, has a bad part: when i transfer a sont, a picture or something else with bluetooth and i don`t have enought memory on it, the soft phone is done, and i must rewrite the soft :) nice, right? :), but the phone has a good part to.. nice desingn, very easie to use..

  • I used this phone for almost a year and urgently had to get rid of it. + great design + a very small phone, elegant and easy to use [menu and all other features] But i had it repaired 2 times. After only a month or so it began to restart itself almost daily. The big screen turned all white and then - nothing. Also, that black soft material is extremely sensitive. It can be easily scratched. I suggest you not to buy this phone. Looks great, but 4mb as memory is way tooo small. You can`t even store more than 25-30 pictures. bad.. very very bad..

  • um...does anyone know if this fone can upgrade itz memory at ALL???lol if anyone knows...plz answer rite here...:)

  • this is the fourth 6103 I have had in the last 6 months the phone is notoriously weak in constitution. The seperation bumpers are to thin causing sanding on the inner screen, and dialing of numbers also drains battery life frot he lights constaly being turned on. The inner and outter lcd screens break rather easily with no external damage I have literally had the phone break on the first day of use in my pocket from a very slight bump. no bashing just stating fact. I have forwarded my complaints (well documented) to T-mobile and Nokia asking for feed back on numerous, at least a dozen occasions, to no avail. I reccomend this phone to purse carriers, because it will probably survive several years in a nice comfy padded purse.

  • d phone could it send a ringtone 2 a samsung a300

  • After a few days with my pink 6103, I noticed the main screen wasn't working well. Sometimes the light was on, but there was nothing displayed, so it was not possible to acces the menu. Very irritating. The sound quality of phone conversations is also a problem: people don't hear you well and you keep thinking you should raise the speaker volume to hear them too. The rest of all the features are great, but hey, using the menu and talking to people are the main functions of a mobile phone, not? But I thought it was a coincidence that this phone was not working well, so when it was stolen, I bought an black one of the same model, because I like the features and the nokia menu so much. But... the day after my purchase I had to find out that this phone had the exact same problems as the previous one, but even worse!!! The main screen lights up but does not show anything (ok, sometimes it does, but 8 out of 10 it doesn't!), when you manage to call someone (very difficult if you have no display): bad sound. I was a Nokia fan, so I contacted them about this, but they just don't answer! I like the Nokia menu's and the feel of their phones so much, but yes, this makes me turn to another brand...

  • I am going to use it for mixit . i hope it is a nice and ya . the most of the time i`m gonna talk to my "girl" friends and they 5 or more ,i don`t know . I like the motorola v360 but it is old and they are out .

  • can anyone tell me if another type of nokia earplug can be use on this phone. PLZ E-MAIL

  • Nokia 6103 is a nice phone by Nokia. In UK Nokia 6103 is a contract mobile phone at Vodafone, O2, Virgin, Orange, T and 3 mobiles.

  • this phone is ok for the first 6 months...then the flip deteriorates and its just a floppy phone.. so if you wish to have a floppy phone then by all means purchase this one. :) flipppp....flopp :(

  • Hi Everyone! I've been having this phone for one and a half month, and I have good experience with it. Its battery's standby time is around 4-5 days, the quality of ringing tones and the radio is very good. It froze a couple of times, but I bet that there isn't any phone which doesn't freeze. It's cool and elegant.

  • Ppl ppl ppl.I have the nokia 6103 for the past few days.and da FOOLS Who don`t knw how to put mxit. Please GO to the mxit website go 2 forun and follow da instructions that they give u. it works cos i use it all da tym. thanx and cheers XxX

  • how do u manually restart the phone aside from holding down the red button?

  • I have this phone, but I can't upload any ringtone cause of the small memory.

  • I have a 6101 a friend brought one for me and a next girl working ok , only thing the infared never worked on either one it was sent back to the nokia company and they claimed its not a manufactor fault, well who fault it is mine? And its still on warranty.Never replaced it.

  • i would like to see how good it work

  • Well i am thinking of purchasing this model nokia 6103 could someone tell me how is the camera and how many menu features it has please?

  • the only thing that spoil this phone the lack of memory

  • 6103 was not out yet. We have the 6102 purchased 12/24/05. It's been a good phone - batt. last for almost 4 hrs of talk, stand time is 2 wks, clearity is good, features and camera are good, but the flip (spring) in my wife's phone broke and now the receiver just falls open, will not stay closed. No damage just 1 yr of use. Nokia defines it as physical damage - classified as daily use, wear & tear. This happed in 1 yr with a 2 yr commitment. They won't replace it. Will cost $115 for new spring. I have heard that's one of this phones weaksness. Any similar situations, suggestions?

  • Well i can say that this phone is quite slow, simply browsing in the menu is slow, my Symbian phone sometimes does better... Not the best Nokia phone, if you think about buying 6103, think about buying 6125, it's obviously better, and so much more expensive, i tried them both...

  • First I thought it's a nce phone, but it's similar to the first version, the 6101. I had a bad experience with it. The light of the small display was flashing all the time and afterwards it didn't work anymore. when thephone is closed, the light stays on inside. Al this happened in a fraction of 1 week since I bought the phone. It's too expensive for little features. Sorry Nokia, this phone is not good. You had better ones.

  • Great people uses great phones. Buy this phone and be one of the great person. I have the whole world in my pocket with Nokia 6103. The phone is great I tell you.

  • hello, i have bought recently this nokia, and i'm happy about it, but... i have a problem with the backlight on my screen, after 10 seconds it goes out. then i have to pusch a button to have light again. after reading the manuel i have found nothing to extend the time for longer backlight.

  • Hi There, I want to buy this phone for my mom but first a very important question. Can the font size (SMS) be increased to large - as big as the maximum font size in the N6060 or N6101??? I noticed that though most Nokia models have different font size settings, maximum font sizes in some models aren't as big as the maximum font size of the above mentioned models. Hope you can answer my question. thanks!

  • it is the same as a noia 6101 exept the front looks different. i own a 6101 and i was exited when i saw it soz i thought they had changed it!. i'm dissapointed

  • Well this phone isn't very good, mainly because of those pathetic 4mb memory, lack of functions and because it's quite slow compared to other s40 phones, but if you use the phone only for calling it's not that bad, for this price its an OK phone... I'd give it 7/10

  • I'm amazed at some of you people. Why are you jumping all over the people who have negative things to say about this phone. A review is just that... a review... the good... the bad... and the ugly. It sounds to me like there are some folks who are not happy with this phone. Don't slam them for their opinion... recognize that some people have found flaws, and other people want to know what the flaws are. List all the good, and all the bad, and let people decide for themselves whether or not the good outweighs the bad. I'm amazed that so many people don't understand what a review is all about.

  • Happy 07 all,ive 2 phones Nokia6103 I Mate JAS Jam Over carst days,Nokia out does Jas Jam 4 signal streangth,$400 out does $1400 I Mate on next G Band,Things r not as good as stated in signal strength Dark days as in cloud Now on clear day Jas Jam woks 30 km moor then old Band nokia 6103 set 2 So there u have it Cheers Peter AUSTRALIA NSW

  • bought the phone 2 weeks ago, its pretty decent. but now the camera doesnt work and i havent done anything..anyone no what happened?

  • well i just got this phone yesterday and it seems to be cool but i just wish if it had a little more memory but other than that great so far.

  • The nokia 6103 is the best phone ever. it has everything, i mean everything. there is only one con: the memory cud have been larger, but otherwise it is 4.8 out of 5.

  • this phone really isnt that bad..i mean i wouldnt buy it bcuz imma pda person...but for the ppl who dont need somethin too fancy then the 6103 is where to go

  • this phone rules ppl! just bot it yesterday as christmas present..and it totally rocks! thats all.. 6103 haters..if u dont like the phone, is it that hard to buy a new one..NO!! so if i were u ppl, i'd stop complaining and posting bad comments here and buy a new phone!

  • just bot this phone last night and it had 2 bars left..i was listening to the radio and forgot to switch it off before i slept.. when i woke up today, it was still 2 bars!!

  • dis phone rucks ppl!!

  • how good is this phone all around??, i should be getting it soon, and im just wondering

  • I think that u guys that are commenting about this phone are very dramatic. I may have not used the phone yet but i have asked 4 it 4 christmas and i think that it will be a good phone if i get it. It may not be all that special (as I'm hearing) but it can be good use for a person in their teenage years becuz we dont do a lot with our phones anyway. If you dont like the phone then dont by it. It's as simple as that, I'm want it becuz two versions down from thsi phone is the 6101 and i loved that phone. U culd record ur ringtones and didnt have to spend a lot of money on bying ringtones yourself. But if i love that one then i definitely will love the "up-2-date" version. Teenagers are da best, JAY

  • I will have this phone any day now,its in the mail.Just wondering how the push-to-talk works,is it just like the nextel phones?i never knew t-mobile even had that.

  • Even though i've heard good things and nasty things about the phone, i'm still buying it because it's very cute, small and as long as it can send n receive calls and text and receive texts it alright with me.

  • does anybody know how many messages he inbox and outbox? thanks

  • it's 1 awsomeeeeeeeeee phone everything is perfekto.i l00000000veeeee it!!!!!

  • YOU go on and on and on about how crap it is , but dont u sometimes think it's all about how u handle it? If the screen cracks something must of happened to it , because don't tell me u leave it on the counter or in youre hand bag and when u take it out the screen is cracked, then u must of gone and sit on it or hit it to the wall.

  • GET a computer or an i-Mate if u wanna have loads and loads of memory.....how can someone compare a NOKIA to a LG or a Samsung?

  • Hi People. I just wanted to say , all you peoples are doing is comparing LG's or samsungs to a NOKIA that everybody knows is a great phone.u are bitching about memory sizes and the cameras..Go buy ureself a P4 computer if thats what u whant b-coz really what do u whant from a small phone?or try an i-Mate if that makes u happy.

  • Hey ppl...My mom and dad gave me the choice 2 choose a phone 4 christmas and i went 2 go check it out 2night.It doesn't look 2 bad , but i really need 2 know b4 they buy it , you ppl say that the ringer cant go down , so i need 2 know does the phone turn 2 silent.B-coz i need 2 put in on silent in school. So plz someone let me know b4 it's 2 late.Tnx...

  • I have already replaced this phone Twice for two different reasons, I wouldn't buy this phone again to save my life, I feel like I have been ripped off!!! buyer BEWARE!

  • Hi, I am thinking or ordering this phone. I would be ever so grateful if somebody could tell me about the video quality. E.g. Picture quality, how long you can record a video for. Also, if you record a video, does the time you have to film one depend on how much memory you have already used up? Thanks in advance, Jake.

  • I don't know why so many people stay with nokia. Most of the things they make today is crap. (maybe not the new N-series) They give you something ugly! Look at the picture... Honestly, who wants to walk around like a fool with such an heavy phone. For the same amount of money you can buy a nice phone, much more design. The screen is not sharp, the second screen is horrible. You cannot change enough on this phone, etc.... This is a phone for people who stay with nokia because they once had a nokia and think nokia is still the number one in phones. They did a great job in the earlier days but most of their phones (certainly their budget phones) are crap. Please, have a good look, compare and chose better!

  • I've had this phone two weeks carried only in sidepocket of purse, never dropped, Front Display Cracked, it's a piece of junk. Shame on Nokia, My hubby has a Samsung Q105 that he's carried in pants pocket for 3 years and the front display looks fine. He's nearly worn the finish off of it but the display is still fine.

  • I bought this phone over the weekend so I've had it for a couple of days. So far I'm really happy with it! I've always had a Nokia phone but this is the first flip-phone I've ever owned. I read here that people are complaining about the memory size. Well, what do you expect? It's a phone, people! Buy an MP3 player for your music needs! Buy a digital camera for your photography needs if that's important to you. Considering the price, I think it's excellent. I had a bit of a problem this morning hearing my husband during a call but I realized it was how I had it positioned against my ear. That's what you call "user error" and I think if more people read the instructions they would understand this little gem and how to properly use it better. I'm quite happy with it!

  • Nokia have gotten it all wrong with this range of phones.THe predessecor to this model the "6101" was a phone i used.It was poorly built and felt "fragile".I expect more from nokia.Although this is only a lower priced model it is still not up to the standard of other phones in its price range.Look elsewhere. OVERALL 4/10

  • Hi, I am thinking about buying this phone. Is it tru that you cannot adust the ringer volume at all?

  • had two of these phones, screens blanked out on both within three months of use. Poor quality.

  • Hey, someone told me that this phone has GPS sat nav in it?!?!?! Is this true? I want to buy one but I dont want to spend more than 1,490 Euro. This phone looks nice. It is a 3 MP camera yeah? I wish it was as big as the N93. I love big things. One time I had a big phone and it was used for other things as well!!!! It made a wicked hammer and awesome for bashing your wife when you dont have a stick!!!! I wish it had a massive antenna too. They are fun!!! my balls hurt!!! OK! Love it!!!!

  • It's a simple phone with many features at a decent price. It's got a camera, video, loudspeader (which I like), FM radio (which I haven't tried yet) and is compact. Easy to use functions with ability to download. So far so good. Reception is decent. Only real problem is that there is no volume control for the ringer. Other than that, I'm very satisfied. I would recommend for someone wanting a simple phone.

  • Phone is ok. I'm surprised the phone doesn't allow you to turn down the ringer on the side of the phone. It only adjusts the volumne when you are talking on the phone. My other cell had this feature. Seems to be a pain to go into your settles each time to adjust it.

  • RON , you posted a comment about a broken display. Man, what does that have to do with the qoulity of the phone? maybe your daughter dropped it 4 floors down and she was afraid to tell u. That`s not a reason to say that this is not a nice phone. it`s very practical, buy it ....i like...whawhaueeuuuuuuaaaa! :D

  • WARNING WARNING WARNING. This phone is a piece of junk. My daughter has had the phone for 3 months. The external screen broke after only 1 month. We had it replaced and Now, the external screen broke again. Don't buy this phone. If you do. Keep your old phone, your going to need it to finish out your contract.

  • the best phone, external antenna doesn`t bother me at all, it is very small and very practical- the radio can be heard through a set of LOUUUUD phones. REALLY like it....try

  • This is a cool mobile phone. The camera is very sharp but I hate this thing that the video is for only 16secs and when I flip the phone some scratches on the display screen.

  • i'll going to buy this phone in the next days but i get alot of bad opinion about it what can i do bye or cancle?

  • I love this phone! Let's face it - this phone is for people who want the basics. I can imagine if you're expecting the world in mobile technology then you probably won't be happy. On the other hand, this phone is exactly what I need and works great. I use the calendar to keep track of appts. I can hear the caller well, unlike my last phone. I love the option of FM radio for when I have to wait unexpectedly. Breakdown: Considering it has sleek looks, FM radio, camera, organizing capabilities, etc., this is a great option for someone looking for a basic but fun phone.

  • Hello Guys, can anybody tell me if this phone has "grouping" ? i mean can i assign different ring tone for each group of poeple ?? thx a million in advance

  • @phonesellr Actually we cannot make generalisation that Nokia phones are always good or other merck produce always bad phones. We must look at one by one.

  • Great phone .. but the the phone starts booting in my case too

  • It's the worst phone I have ever owned. The only good thing about it could be the size.

  • Nokia=normally great phones, but not in this case. This phone has had terrible technical problems from the 2nd day I owned it. It at random chooses not to boot up or it scrambles the graphics on the screen while its on, sometimes will not charge even plugged into its wall charger, and has terrible white noise that only gets worse if you turn up the volume to try to hear your call better even with a full reception bar. Great features packed into this little phone, but wayyy too many software issues. I will be returning this phone before my 14 day trial is up.

  • oh my beautiful little phone. i love it.

  • I am getting this phone for free from Tmobile in a few days. This phone is the best, I know it is the best, dont lisyen to these idits compaining about it,,so it is good

  • Brilliant little phone. Would prefer it without the arial and maybe a bit more memory. Otherwise it looks and works great

  • Hi, can i extend the memory, i can't receive bigger files which are necessary and sometimes nice as well. thx

  • this the best fone ever made i love it

  • Now, Nokia lies about the battery capacity. When it says 820 mAh, always remember that in reality it is 720 mAh. BLC-4 type is correct, but there is no 820 mah of that type. WHRE IS THE PROOVE? Answer: Go to www.nokiausa.com In the phone specs of 6103, it will say 820 mah (that's where GSM arena and other websites got the infor from), but when you click on " see more batterries for the phone" link, you will see it says: BLC-4 720 mAh! The same goes for all other so-called 820 mAh and mine so-called 760 mAh on mine 6170 model! NOKIA: Stop lying!

  • I dont understand why my 6103 doesn't ring out sometimes when I receive calls till I hit the back panel where NOKIA is written behind the phone. Is something wrong with the speaker or what? Help, cos I really like this fone!!!

  • Could someone please explain how I can get applications to work with the GPRS/EDGE ? The browser works and my GPRS settings are correct but I can't get an application (Like Opera Mobile browser or MXit) to work with the GPRS. It simply does nothing. Is the phone's GPRS only set to work with its standard web browser? And for MMS? If that's so then this phone really sucks

  • Why do my callers say that when they call me my phone always goes on the radio. I cannot hear them but they hear the radio instead of my voice. Tell me what to do. I bought this phone 4 days ago.

  • to make it so it goes right back to the main page the power key would need to pressed lightly once.

  • Can anyone tell me how to get it so when i open it it goes to the main screen and not where i was when i shut it?

  • I had the phone for less than three weeks and the LCD screen cracked. I simply put it in my pocket and went to the store. Not the sort of thing you'd expect to ruin a phone. To the person who asked about transferring mp3s and pics to your phone, you can do so via bluetooth or infrared. I found all the software you need on Nokia's site.

  • I really impressed with this phone, i bought this somewhere in Nigeria. In all aspect it is worth it and very durable, except for the low memory it has 4MB...it is just too low.

  • Thanks, Oke I'm sorry Jimi for my stupid reading.

  • He said its the first phone he's had since teh last time he had a phone which was 2002. He doesn't mean that he has had this phone since 2002. He probably just got it recently but its the first phone he has used since he last bought one in 2002. Pretty obvious if you read what he says. especially if you use your eyes. HOw do you read books?

  • @Jimi Spier Hmm, I'm sorry if I doubt the truth of your statement.Have you really used this 6103 since 2002?? I know that this 6103 be released not more than 1 year. Please give your explanation, thanks.

  • My first cell phone since 2002, and I must say that this phone exceeds my expectations. I got mine from letstalk.com. It came with the phone (of course) and a bluetooth headset. I also bought a bluetooth adapter for my computer to transfer data back in forth. Its an excellent buy.

  • @setra Maybe this website that you mean: 6103 position is also goed in compare with other type.

  • I'm sorry I forget about the price;here in Belgium: Nokia 6103 169 - 175 euro SE Z520 139 - 145 euro SE Z530 159 euro SE W300 199 euro I don't know Z525 (it's special for North America) but it has the same specifications with Z520 plus GSM 850.

  • As I know, with the comparable price, with SE Z530 you can get more internal memory and possibility to expand with external memory;only no radio but you have MP3 player and the screen is UBC not TFT but it has more battery lifetime.I forget the website but there is a study about battery lifetime and the result Z530 is the king. Or if you don't mind to spend your money (not too much), you can take SE W300,it has all that Z530 capability plus TFT internal screen, radio FM stereo, quad band (especially for you that live in North America) and EDGE. Or if you want cheaper,I think SE Z520/525 have the comparable feature with this 6103. Just my opinion.

  • Calculator is there, in the Organizer. Right before teh Stop watch.

  • I just bought myself a 6103 after owning a lg U8120. I would not call it an 'upgrade' nor a downgrade. But it is definately a better quality phone than the LG i owned which was only 13 months old. Here are the areas where the nokia stand out: Quality/Durablity. The nokia is much less 'tinnie' than the lg. it seems quite robust. When you flip the phone open it feels much smoother. Size. The nokia is much more compact. Accessories: Much easier to get hold of aftermarket components for the nokia. Also, the headset that comes with the nokia for MP3/push to talk headset is the highest quality. The LG accessories seemed very cheap and prone to breaking. Battery. I fully charged the phone and left the phones fm radio playing all night with the headset turned on full. 12 hours later i found the phone still had half its battery life remaining which was a pleasant suprise. Where the nokia fails: No calculator!! This really pisses me off as I always used the calculator on my LG, and now am forced to use my own brain. Standard ringtones are the same as the nokia i bought 7 years ago. Outer covers. The Outer cover of the 6103 seems like a kind of suede material over a plastic shell and it is very very easy to scratch, so you will need a cover. Boxed accessories. Another thing that pisses me off about nokia is they dont include a Data cable for pc link up, unlike LG. Meaning that to swap your phone book from your old mobile to your new one, you will need to buy a data cable or do it all manually (which is ok if you have no friends), unless you are simply swapping sim cards. Over all it is a good little phone. I mainly purchased this phone for it's bluetooth ability, something the LG did not have. The other important factors were size, quality and it's features. I could have spent an extra $100 and purchased a phone with 100,000 more colours on the screen or one that holds 500 more names in the phone book but that seems pretty pointless. This phone will do most things you would expect from a phone (except a god damn calculator), depending on the network you sign it to and I recommend it for anyone wanting to buy a good phone without paying the extra money to have a few more screen colours than their mates phone. And if you work for nokia and are reading this... put a effing calculator in your next clamshell style phone you pack of bastards!

  • reception and call quality are probably network problems, not nokia problems, nokia have one of the best (if not the best) reception and quality than any other phone brand. even though i wish they would put more attention in the design, stay conservative with the american models. gringos are a pain sometimes

  • I just returned a Samsung t309 after 1 day for poor reception, crackling voices and extremely low volume---couldn't hear callers unless it was really quiet and they spoke loudly. (2-year old Samsung had been OK). Also didn't like some of the non-intuitive menus. Tried the Nokia 6103 at T-Mobile and had the same problem with reception, crackling, and low volume. If you look at professional reviews like CNET you'll see that a lot of newer phones share these problems. Odd, because the whole purpose of a phone should be that you can ACTUALLY HEAR CALLERS, right? ;-> I don't care about tunes or cameras in a phone (that's why I spent the bucks for a decent sound system and digital camera) but I definitely need to get excellent reception, voice quality, and volume. Guess what I ended up with? The free Nokia 6010! I had people at T-Mobile call me on several different phones, and the 6010 had the best audio quality by far. Frankly, it blew the flip phones out of the water. Reception is great, battery life is phenomenal. OK, it's a brick, but it's well under 4 oz ---less than some flips. I can take it to the 'barely there' areas of cell phone coverage and still get a decent signal, no dropped calls. Wish it had a few more wallpaper choices just for fun, and definitely wish it had international tri-band - but all is not lost, I still have another old Samsung to go to Europe with me. P.S. The alarm feature is awesome. It flashes bright lights and just won't shut up until you really wake up and turn it off - great for getting to work on time when you're travelling on business! If you prefer function to frippery, you might just like the Nokia 6010.

  • This fone not better than the Nokia 6102i the 6102i has more ringtones & good battery life i think the Nokia 6103 is A UGLY FONE THE KEYPAD IS UGLY & THE PHONE SUCKS. NOKIA 6102i this the best phone comparing it with the 6103.

  • For your first question, you can simply go to Settings > Main display > and turn the Power saver off. I don't know about your question on always opening up to the main menu though. I have a question as well. Does anyone know how to transfer data such as images and mp3 ringtones from your PC to the phone without the USB Pop Port cable and if that's even possible. Also, what programs would you need to transfer data. Does it come with the USB cable or can you download one off a website for free?

  • i'm just tired of all you people crying about a stupid phone, you sound worst than little kids if they loose a sucker, open you'r eyes and take a closer look at samsung and lg same phone made by the same company i had them before and they suck i switched to nokia about two years ago, never had a single problem, please grow up a phone is not a computer or a camera.... long live NOKIA.

  • I have the 6103 and it always dims. I cant figure out how to keep the backlight to stay on. Also when i close my phone i want it to go to the main screen instead of staying on the same screen that it was on when i closed it. Please Help!

  • I just got this phone today and personally, I think it's great. It's not the latest and the greatest but it has all the basics, great reception, and for the price I paid, it's pretty damn good. =) I'd give it an overall 7 out of 10.

  • If you decide to read through all the review you might discover some who claim that the phone uses an other connector so that you cannot use your old charger. Again this is totally crap from a user that haven't use 5 seconds with this phone. YES it still has the well known Nokia connector for the charger. My god there are so many reviews with so many faults here. Use your mind and don't put too much attension to most of the reviews here.

  • I made a 3 day SERIOUS study to find out which phone should replace my Nokia 7650. I also read all the crappy reviews from a lot of people here. It's realy choking how bad peoples judgement are. The phone has 4.2 MB RAM and THATS IT. If you want more, then find an other phone. What people can buy a phone and complain about the memory size after? (ROFL) Take a look on the lens of any cell phone camera and everyone will know that you will NEVER take quality photos. The camera in a phone isn't ment for that purpose. Buy a REAL camera if you want good quality. For the money the 6103 is the absolute best buy. I read a lot of reviews on Samsung, SE ect. NONE of them can perform a well as the 6103 for that price. Please stop whining about visible antenna. Don't buy the phone if you don't like it. IT'S THAT EASY. Reviews about broken display.....come on man, take care of you phone and don't blaim Nokia for throwing phones on the floor. Nokia has an excellent sound, so don't beleave this crap about background noise. The 6103 got only 8 ringtones. Christ....how difficult is it to download further tones and some eaven for free? Some people might thing if the phone had 10 MB memory then It could be better. But why? 10 MB is worth NOTHING if you plan to store MP3. You would need 1000 times more....LOL! Buy an ipod or a far more expensive phone if you want more memory...and stop whining. Be aware if you want more functions then the size of the phone would be bigger. So if you go for a phone of that design and price....it's the best on the market. LG, Samsung, Sony, Siemens ect. don't have anything better for THAT price. So go and pay more if you expect more.....you will not get 40 MB RAM and 4 M Pixel cam for free.

  • i cant wair to get this phone!!!

  • I have a family plan with T-Mobile and just purchased four of the Nokia 6103 phones. I did some research about this phone on numerous websites and it seemed like a good quality phone for the price. Well, much to my disappointment, the phones aren't all that great. I love the look of it, the black color is great, and it's a pretty light weight phone... Hmmm, that's about it. It bugs me that it only has 8 ringtones (none of which I like); additionally, the fact that the screen doesn't return to "normal" after you close the phone is also irritating (it stays in whatever menue you were in last). But the thing that bugs me the most is the fact that the clarity on this phone SUCKS. The minute you dial a phone number and it connects, you hear this "white noise"...this swishy sound that is ALWAYS there and gets worse as you increase the earpiece volume to be able to hear someone better. I thought that it was only my phone, but after checking all the other 3 that I bought, I realized that they all had the same problem. I have another phone through Verizon (LG VX8300) and the clarity on the phone is excellent! When I used both of them at the same time, you hear dead silence on the LG VX8300; however, the Nokia 6103 has that background noise that is very annoying. For the above mentioned issues that I have with this phone, I am definitely sending all of them back before my 14 days expire. I am quite disappointed...I really thought I would have liked this phone, but maybe another model in the future...Thanks

  • Love the clear positive seperate key keypad, happy with usual nokia easy to use menu system and display. But am sending 6103 back because signal acqusition is so poor phone is unusable. Old brick nokia next to it has full bars signal when this fluctuates from 3 to 2 to 1 to dropout.

  • this is my first nokia, after having a sony and a motorola i like the menuing and setup of the nokia the best. i am also a fan of the software for computer sync etc. messaging is great. my only problem with this phone is that it only lasted 2 mo. the screen is having difficulty staying on. my other two phones lasted a year each so i feel this is a delicate model. the screen rubs against the keys when closed and gets scratched. also the rubber coat paint on the outside rubs off within days of owning it. i am still a fan of this phone, but i will not replace it with the same one. i'm going to try a 6131 instead and hopefully it will not have the same flaw.

  • Like the phone very much, just customized it, UI kinda slow, but i can deal with, got a deal on this phone. The black exterior is really attractive, have great reception with the FM. Great battery life. Great upgrade from the 6101. Will keep this phone for a while. All feature packed, bluetooth, and all those stuff. My only complaint is it seems you cant turn off the camera shutter sound and its hard to pair a bluetooth headset with it. The charger socket is very different with other nokia phones, u need to buy an adapter to charge the phone. For Obex, its very easy, all my bluetooth phones found it and successfully transferred files

  • i bought the nokia 6103 today it is cheap and sturdy. i returned samsung t809 and almost bought the motorola razr, both phones are not sturdy. The 6103 rocks, its radio is terrific and battery is ok. i have used for a day and i do really like it

  • I think that this phone is excellent

  • well the phone is great juat recently got it..... My one problem is that the flipping part is loose and its not as firm as it was, i jst wanted to know if i can getr that fixed or mnot????????? Please help a.s.a.p

  • This phone stinks! The earpiece is too low. When I went to T-Mobile I was told that you need to buy the bluetooth piece in addition to the phone and yes many others did complain about the same problem.

  • i am looking to byy one but i am not sure if it is the best one to get. I was looking at the sagem sg343i but it is tealstra and the price on pre-paid phones have gone up so i am looking at virgins and optus i am not sure thnx

  • hi all... tq for nokia. i use 6103 phone, thats great for me. i use all function in this phone, ptt, bluetooth, port port, camera. all very good. but just one... a memory is small. if phone can use hot swap memory slot.... "6103" is very very GOOD phone.... sound best, use headphone. radio clear. battery save... all is function. just a memory is small. tq...

  • I have had this phone for about 2 monthes now, and I am very disapointed in it. the front screen broke within a few weeks, and no one would replace it, and its constantly restarting, dropping calls, and out of service. The memory is always full I really cant download anything. camera is ok, cant zoom. but overall quality is good. bluetooth works great, and so does radio. if you dont use your phone much this is a good phone, but you cant over use it.

  • If you want to download heaps of tones etc. You will find that you will run out of memory very fast... The only downside to this great phonee.

  • Had this phone 2 weeks. Dead. Just turned off and didn't come back. No displace, calls go to voicemail. Dead. When it did work, it wasn't much better.

  • Great phone! I just gave my 6101 to my wife and got this one for me. The pop port is for the nokia ca-42 USB cable that's optional. i bought one online and i just connect it to my PC and add my own ringtones and themes and wallpapers. I put all my notes and calendar stuff on MS outlook and sync the phone. with bluetooth, i have an awesome headset and use that to sync with my PC...you can set diff ringtones for different things like texts, sms's, calls...great phone...you can even create you're own themes if you unzip the .nth files and replace the pics and mids with whatever you want...

  • It's my birthday today so I decided to splash out and replace that OLD motorolla V550 and I have to say I am very impressed with the 6103! I was in and out of the shop in 5 minutes, I didn't even think twice about buying it. I didn't look into it AT ALL. I just presumed it would be a good phone so I bought it. I think the camera is good, but then again I am used to the V550 so ANYTHING would be better than that! lol. I have noticed ppl on here saying the volume is really low when on a call... That is true ... but it isn't as bad. If you are looking for a phone that is easy enough to use and aren't too fussed about memory etc. It is the way to go!... A message to all ya'll ppl... Why do you always complain about the memory??? Most of you wouldn't even use all of it anyway. And whinging about the "poor" camera and the features the phone doesn't have is ridiculous! If you really wanted the "good" camera etc. WHY DIDN'T YOU JUST GET A PHONE WITH THESE THINGS!!!! So stp whining about this phone, after all you do get what you pay for!

  • qut does it mean when its says usb pop port can anyone please tell me

  • HI all .... this review is for those who are in search of a flip phone which should be a value for money. well i think Nokia 6103 is the one for you. I bought it today itself, but the phone has delivered me everything which a common person wants ... it is really good and is under budget for most of us. So I would give a thumbs-up for Nokia 6103.

  • This phone is very disappointing. It comes with only 8 ringtones. The earphone is almost unusable you can't hear in it. You can't program different ringtones for different incoming calls. When you save a new number it doesn't let you set up any features such as the type of phone number (mobile/home/work), it scrolls through options very very slowly, when you close the cover, it stays on the last screen you were in and doesn't revert back to the home page automatically, when you add a name to a new number the recently dialled list doesn't update to the name, the wallpaper choices make the phone completely unreadable, when you select copy in the phonebook it is mysterious as to where it is copied to, and so on. Finally, in the same car drive that I take to work, it loses the signal at least twice as often as my previous Motorola.

  • Well, I've had my Nokia 6103 for about 1 1/2 months now, and it perfectly fine. I've dropped it on several ocasions and it's as tough as all other Nokia's I've owned. I think I will be keeping this phone for a very long time. I like it's design, simple but sophisticated on the inside(applications/software). There is just 1 thing, I wish you could buy memory to add to it. Like a mmc card.

  • Before I bought the nokia 6103 I read the specifications. I knew it had a vga camera and only 4.4 meg of memory but this does not bother me as i never use the camera or memory.I use a bluetooth headset nearly all the time. This phone has very good reception and is a very good phone for making and receiving phone calls and also has a very good battery life.My last phone was a panasonic vs6 which has a brilliant screen and camera but the reception was poor in marginal areas.I1m very happy with this phone and will be keeping it for many years.

  • Its realy a nice phone but cant give the effect of N series mobile and the anteena looks bit odd so may i plz know the cost of the phone from nokia

  • Ok - I have had this phone for a week now after returning a Samsung t809, t609, and Moto RAZR. The 6103 is the only one that can pick up and KEEP a signal in my fair-poor reception area. Yeah, the screen isn't brilliant, but it doesn't reboot itself like the Samsucks and it actually is able to receive calls unlike the RAZR. My PEBL also had problems. I will stand by this cheap little phone.

  • Well, I feel I just gotta put my 2 cents in. O have recently upgraded my phone, tested out a few, dilemmas encountered, as expected. I ennded upo choosing the 6103; after much research andsking questions. WOW, am I ever disappointed. Yes, Nokia has proven to be a durable phone, with decent battery life. However, the particular features on this phone, well, they're just not there. There is absolutely no comparison to this phone and the samsung t809. The only downfall to te t809, it has no voice dial. Oh well. I am currently in the process of switching back to the all "full featured" t809. Good luck to you all.

  • ummm on my service providers site, they say that the phone has 3.5 mb's of shared memory....but on this site it says 4.2 mb's of memory. So which one is it?

  • hey everyone i have been reading our comments and i cant wait to get this phone. i have the6010 and i hate it... that for helping me out

  • The problem with this phone is lack of memory..only 4 mb.. =(

  • Sorry everyone, but I disagree! I just got the nokia 6103 and I love it! I switched from sidekick II and I love all of the new features, the size and reception. My only complaints are that the sim card only holds name and phone contacts, not addresses or e-mails. I would like to ask t-mobile what is the purpose of a sim card? It seems worthless! It should hold all the info in any phone and then transfer to any new phone. My other complaint is that too often the reps do not know what they are doing. I had to call 3 times to make sure my service plan was switched so I could finally access my yahoo e-mail and the internet. After working out the glitches and learning the many new features and oh yes, adding what my worthless sim card could not back up I am very happy with my purchase.

  • Question: is this phone THAT bad? I mean, according to all the opinions I read here, it sounds like it is. I kind of like the look of this phone. Can you guys tell me what's really so bad about this phone? I'd really appreciate your opinions. Please and thank you (:

  • OH, ONE MORE THING: Beth: You can buy Nokia 6270 for $360 at , then bring it to the largest T-Mobile dealer (remember $300 minimum!!! cash back ).

  • TO BETH: I feel your sadness 100%! YES!-Definitely refuse the package when it arrives and then call T-Mobile to cancel the agreement and this GARBAGE 6103 TOY! SUGGESTION: Try to find the biggest T-Mobile dealer in your area. In New York it's: Cellulalr Plus!! Cellular Plus gave me the perfect Nokia 6270 for $70!!! (new line or second line activation required). EVEN IF the largest T-Mobile dealer in your area doesn't carry unlocked European Nokia phones, if you bring to them your own GSM phone you can demand at least $300 cash back! (that's if T-Mobile pays them $350 and not $400 for 2 year contract).

  • TMobile is supposed to be sending me this phone in the mail and after reading these reviews, I am really not looking forward to receiving this phone anymore. I was just wondering if I should call Tmobile and tell them to keep it, and go get a different phone. Please email me with your suggestions-I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks in advance for your time! ~Beth

  • I'm totally supporting the fire that is finally opened against Nokia's bad phones! I WAS ACTUALLY ALWAYS A NOKIA SUPPORTER, until Nokia started taking bad samples from Sony Ericcsson! I agree with the users below. 6101/6102/6103/6125 and other series of the same line are cheap and stinky. I don'n need to have a cell. phone that is SLOW and on which I cannot hear people well unless I'm wearing a BLUETOOTH TOY! THE HELL WITH MEGAPIXELS AND COLOR SCREEN! MATURE PEOPLE, PLEASE SUPPORT US!

  • I agree with Jonatan! This phone is a piece of junk, just like the 6101 is. NOKIA OBVIOUSLY CANNOT make thin phones with loud sound. Well, if that's the case, then why the hell make thin phones and not make it a little thicker just like a great 6170, 6260 models???????

  • I don't know what is all the excitment here about this so-called upgrade to 6101? I checked this new 6103 at the local T-Mobile store in New York and it it the same garbage as 6101 only with added bluetooth which is a must for this phone, otherwise you will not hear loud enough in the crappy earpiece. CONS: -Slow as 6101 -Childish very colorful as 6101 -Earpiece sound quality is not loud (again the same as 6101) SO, YES BLUE TOOTH IS NEEDED DEFINITELY ON THIS NOT VERY LOUD PHONE, BUT WHAT ELSE?

  • o yes! one thing more. this nokia has different battery plug in than others nokia. i you have (well, like me)many others home chargers and car chargers and you need it right away....forget it. this one is more thiner (about 2mm)and you'll need special adapter for others chargers to make them usefull(for phone side is male 2mm, and for charger is standard 3.5mm female, "+" inside "-" around, total length 10cm ) . adapter cost 8euros. nice. not to much? ok, than pass that money to me.

  • this gsm is not so bad, but on the other sides.... i heard and red about 4.2mb of total memory, so i wonder where are the rest because i counted only 2.320mb in galeria and etc? maybe operator stole it all? could be. even 4.2mb are not enough memory and 2.320mb are way to little memory!!!! this minus is so big that i do not want talk about any pluses present in nokia6103. disapointed? yes!

  • it's a great phone. I love it. But it has really bad reception (t-mobile). I had the Razor and the Pebl and Nokia 6610 but the 6103 has the worst reception. Does anybody else have the same problem? Is there anything to do? download some software or buy and antenna booster (do these things work?) thanks for any help or advice.

  • its a great phone.. i love it.. =) but one thing sucks =( the memory..

  • Great Phone!! As bizz says Nokia's are the most reliable Phone in the World along with great battery life and very good reception.Moto's are junk and Sammies are good for the most part. Ericsson even with Sony couldn't get it right and are pretty much gone from the US.

  • just bought it two days ago... everything is fine...except the memory storage> 4.2MB ONLY!! too small even to keep a song. therefore, the MP3 player in this phone is useless! regret to buy this phone. nevertheless, it's fine --- for only usual communication' use --- to whom who has this phone: what do u think?

  • First of all, in the U.S., Nokia has the best signal, and the lowest return rate. It has been proven time and time again! Perfect Samsung and Sony? When did that happen. Look, if we really do research, we will see that Nokia is the most durable, reliable, and affordable phone on the market. Motorola Razr? Nice design, horrible performance. Samsung is okay, but none of these phones on the market are as reilaible as a Nokia. I would put any of my Nokia phones up against any Samsung or any other phone any day.

  • Nokia does have tri-band phones in it's line up and they are not $200 phones. The Nokia 6101 and 6103 are triband phones and neither are over $150.

  • The Nokia 6103 is a better phone than the 6101. The bluetooth is the first reason. Then it has the soft skin shell which feels really good in your hands. The infared works very well also. Both the Nokia 6101 and 6103 have a vga camera. However, the 6103 will be sold a lot more than the 6103 was. The keypad is raised and it has a more attractive look to it. Get yours soon.

  • This phone was created to mass, budget choice for people that dont pay more than $200 for a phone, people that dont have the $400 or $500 for 6230i or SE W800. In thisw case i go with SE Z520 that have more memory and BT

  • It's like the 6101, the only difference is the Bluetooth and the 6103 has less memory than the 6101. They should produce a phone with exactly the same desing as the 6101 and exactly the same fonctions as the 6230i, this should be a perfect phone, the only thing that Nokia should change on the DESING is to phone of different colours for exemple: red, blue and clear blue, pink and clear pink, purple and clear purple, green like above on performance, black, white, yellow, etc... because phones with funny colours are better sold. It's only my opinion, I hope you like it.

  • the only different from 6101 is Bluetooth .. hope the price are not too far from 6101 now..

  • The 6101 also has a VGA camera, not a megapixel one!

  • its not the same as the 6101 for camera quality, this is only 640*480 VGA when the camera for the 6101 was 1.3mega pixel, nokia made the camera worse on a newer updated model (idiots)

  • If Nokia 6103 is the same as 6101/6102 ( with only difference is added bluetooth), then it will have the same bad issues as 6101/6102: MY SISTER HAS 6101 and 1)Very low earpiece volume (6170 is loud and perfect bytheway, because it is thicker!) 2)Very cheap slow processor ( menu system is slow as hell) I HAVE 6170 and 1) The only Nokia phone today that has mature look 2)Phone has loud and clear volume (thanks to its normal thickness -DUH!) 3) Very well-organized and very fast menu! SHAME ON NOKIA But the only perfect or normal Nokia phones today are 6170, 6260, and 5140

  • yes it is the same all they did was add bluetooth and change the looks a bit

  • i think this NK6103 same as NK6101

  • Well it doesn't matter how many more bands the phone has.... in the USA we only use 850/1900mhz anything extra would be for overseas roaming...Does it cost them that much? probably not....but what you have to realize is that International capability is a high end feature and most likely if the phone has this is also going to have another high end feature to it....and yes the complete package will jack up the price...I'm telling you right now...NOKIA tends to work the best out of most manufacurers. The 6102 has given us a very good customer feedback (there is always a lime here and there) but as a whole nokia is pretty realiable.... PS. the older and simpler the NOKIA the better they seem to work LOL....

  • WHY NOBODY ANSWERS THE QUESTION? Everyone here screams like he is a big technology freak, but no one can answer the question about GSM frequency added into a cell phone?

  • QUESTION FOR EVERYONE: How do extra frequencies are added into a cell phone? Does it really cost to Nokia extra $100 to make 850/1800/1900 phone instead of 850/1900? Cheap Nokia USA phones are not bad. They cost around $100, and have a good quality. But they always have only american frequencies (850/1900). Any Nokia phone that has 1800 or 900 or both as well, will cost at least $200. IS THIS A $$$$$$$$ Stragedy to Push more expensive phones, or does the extra frequency really cost so much?????????????????????????

  • LOOK: 6103 for american version 850/1800/1900 quote: ( "by mistake 900 is missing) (also, "by mistake 1.3 megapixel junk is missing) 900 is NOT USED IN NORTH AMERICA!!!! is not missed, is just not so needed. a triband phone is enough to go almost anywhere. and sometimes is used just to retrain the phones and not being sold outside it destined region. the 6101 had a VGA because VGA last year was supposed to mid range phones but every year it goes up a level. so now they have 1.3mpx. they did not forget it!! is just strategy.

  • BYTHEWAY: Do you know why Nokia, Samsung and Sony produce so many new models for the last two years and alot of them have similar design? (just look at Nokis flip/clamshell, 6101, 6103, 6125, etc...) SIMPLE BECAUSE, all previous year models SUCK! So Nokia, Samsung and Sony have to pump up tones of new models, to fool people. People will think, that since there are all new models this year, they will have better quality ( HAHA, NO THEY WON'T!). NOW LOOK AT Sharp and Panasonic phones range very carefuly. They haven't produced so many new models, because their old models work perfectly. ENOUGH? DUH!

  • I have no doubt lately, that it's a$$$$$$$ $$$$$ rip off stragedy with Nokia and all other brands. And they do it, because it's already prooved to be successful. LOOK: 6103 for american version 850/1800/1900 ( "by mistake 900 is missing) (also, "by mistake 1.3 megapixel junk is missing) NOW LOOK AT: 6125 (probably will cost at least $50 more, due to 1.3 megapixel junk sensor), and the phone is quadband! (850/900/1800/1900) NOKIA KNOWS, that because people are stupid and will want 1.3mp junk , and will want quad band - most of them will buy 6125 and only few will buy 6103). BYTHEWAY: I hope that after you buy either 6103 or 6125, you can hear people well on those phones ( The phones are as thin as Nokia 6101). Nokia 6101 is not loud enough! NOKIA 6170 IS THE WAY TO GO. THE ONLY PHONE THAT HAS GOOD QUALITY AND NOT OVERPRICED (LOUD SOUND-THICK PHONE! DUH!)

  • yes they are planning a similar 3g handset actually 2 6131 6136

  • I like this phone a lot, but does anyone know if Nokia has any plans to bring out a similar 3G handset?

  • gawd, just bought it yesterday - not sure if it was a great move. cingular here sells it at a good rate but the WAP based service is completely abominable-i think it is for teenagers-can u belive i could play a DJ anc compose music .. I mean what was nokia thinking?? ..the sony ericsson is much better. u can't simply allure a customer with a fancy camera and MMS. I

  • you know wat pips.. we are on the date and updated here in the philippines when we are talking about nokia staff cellphones.. damn thats the 1 thing i like in the philippines.. and by the way we are the capital text messaging user in the world.. hehehe thats y theres a no doubt we are up to date cellphones here.. FILIPINO RULES!!!!

  • yes!! this phone is just an ordinary phone.. basically fits for the girls who are in middle class.. but still its good and stable.. durability is on this phone.. we already have this phone here in the philippines since the 3rd quarter of 2005, actually my mom already have this kind of fone. well thats what i can say its durable stable easy to use phone.. but you forgot it also had a screen on the front..

  • With 65k color sceern, only 4mb memory and ugly antena, its basically a Low-end phone with Mid-range price.

  • The Nokia 6125 will cost just 30 euros more, and it is full of features that the 6103 won't have (plus, a better design without external antenna). I don't see ANY reason whatsoever to buy this phone over a superior 6125.

  • - they write that this phon will be available only in 2nd quarter, is it true?

  • i loove his phone

  • this phone looks awesome!!! i was gonna get the 6101 about 2 months ago, but i didn't get it bcoz i didn't have enough, so know i am gonna wait for it to come out in Australia!!! i was gonna buy the 5140i but this phone is a flip phone! HAS BLUETOOTH and is an awesome little phone!!!! Buy it for sure!!!

  • It's a good mid-range phone with a low memory I mean, for mp3 tones, it's too low, at least it should have 12mb like SE K300. The display is brighter and fast responsive, a TFT 65k, but in sun sometimes it sucks. Adding bluetooth to it, is useless for me,They should have do it from the very beginning with Nokia 6101, I see nonsense to added in a new mobile phone with the same specifications and same shape.

  • this phone takes me back to the year 2001 great features 3 colours on the screen at least 5 megs of memory that well keep you busy ages its even got a front colour screen so you can always see the trusting clocking LOL ! but always remember there are other phones out there at this price with 2 mega pixle cames mp3 super screen 3g memory cards and loads more

  • wtf man?Is this 2002 or something....

  • Nokia is my favorite brand, but whit this movil... my god, Nokia can do it better... this is just a 6101 whit bluetoot. Maybe add to bluetooth, + memory for example???

  • Its a freakin Mid-Range phone like they specified.. Don't you know how to read? if you want all that features get yourself a 6260.. Nokia makes their phones by class...

  • They should do something more than putting in the bluetooth on this phone. Atleast the memory should be bigger! Nokia screwed it again!

  • Just an expensive samsung with nokia on it!

  • unbelieveable nokia is trippin!!!!! and that red smh!!

  • why same memory size only bluetooth being added thats lame this is the first time i am knocking Nokia they should have at least up the memory size to 12mb

  • aside from new face and bluetooth, they should have remove the antenna or at least use 265k tft for internal screen!

  • I think so too. It's a very well concidered move by Nokia. There are ppl who'll never use features like that so they dont want to give money for that. Thay only talk on their phones and what they care is the design. And if it's for little money then even better. I, personally would never buy phone like that bic I'm used to smartphones. But there are a lot of ppl who would buy ot and nokia knows that, so I think it will eventually be a bestseller for the lower class mobiles.

  • big turning point about this phone will be the price. If it matches the 6101 price point, it will be cheapest phone with bluetooth and camera (be it VGA). Lets hope Nokia doesn't price themselves out of the market.

  • cmon cut the crap.. when will ppl stop looking the artificial support 4 sony-e?? is it a case of sour grapes?? i can c phones without camera or bluetooth gettin scores in high 7s.. this is a pretty decent cell with nice retro design.. will have many takers..

  • As I thought..... FREE from t-Mobile in USA..hehe. With all these poor features and and waoo!! an external antena, I wont even take it with $100 cash back. What a Crap!!

  • What a pity for Nokia. Exterior antenna, tiny memory...just crappy phone. Maybe a nice phone 5 years ago. Nokia should have a look at Samsung clamshell phones.

  • with external antenna,poor bad.

  • its a 6101 with a different design and bluetooth =) really this phone its going to compete with moto phones and samsung phones in here, which are offering less only the razr can compete in the price is higher

  • Same for SE J230, 7.8 in features and it doesnt even have a camera or radio! I am not on anybodys side, just a thing you clearly notice when seeing how people vote for SE and Nokia phones...

  • This is interesting, this phone is currently rated with 4.9 for features, and the SE J220 for example does not have anything really better than this phone but still it has been given considerably better marks... Why?

  • This should be a FREE phone with service or may be even some cash back.

  • Cheaper, then its worth the money as a lower end mobile. I think Nokia can develop the spec but keep the shell of the phone. They could compete with Samsung clam shell phones. o.O

  • even iv dis iz suposed 2 b a low range mobile 200 euros (bout 140) iz nt value 4 money especiali wen u considr ovr fones k700-80, v500 series-60 an sum high spec fones r getin cheapr 6230i-160, d500-180 an k750-200, c nt gud value nokia!

  • Retro-design, reintroducing external antenna...
