I have this phone too. The only way to send photos is via MMS or email. I haven't tried it yet. If it's impossible to send them this way then it's impossible in general to transfer files from this phone.

How do you get the photos taken from a Nokia 7250i? I've tried infrared, and the infrared on this phone does not support file transferring. I've tried a Pop-Port to USB cable and the accessory simply was not recognized. I tried sending via MMS, it was saved to an outbox but could never be sent! Help me, someone?

Sadly you can't use the infrared for file transfer :/ The infrared in this phone is pretty useless in my opinion. You can't do much with it anyway. I need to transfer stuff from this phone but I can't.

Bought mine about July 2005. Still works as savior-option when or where all other smart and dumbphones fail. Original battery still holds charge for about a week on standby. Bought a second battery about 3 years after new, but original still works better! Proudly bears the name of the once-was best cell-phone manufacturer. Commited a terrible mistake, selling itself to Microsoft.

Bought one of these brand new in 2004 for £85 and 13 years later still have it. Battery is the original from new and still holds charge for around 5 days with phone left on 24/7. I've used it all over Europe and it's got me out of trouble more than a few times. Phone is solid built and i've dropped it many times and it's not even cracked (try that with a pricey smartphone!). Other plus points are they're mega cheap to run....it's a PHONE fgs!! Also, NOBODY will ever want to try and steal it from you!! The only downside is i now find the buttons too small and numbers/letters difficult to read.

That is my problem too! I have a Data Cable DKU-5 but when I connect it, it says 'Accessory Not Supported" The infrared and Multimedia Message are hopeless! I want to recover all those pictures!

hey,i'm using this cell phone for over a half year.. it's very sturdy and has a good battery life.i get reception in places where other phones have trouble holding on to a small signal.the only gripe i have with this phone is that i can't hear people loud enough and sometimes they don't hear me as well..but then again i bought this phone second hand,because it was my dream to buy one when it first came out in 2003..i know i'm much too late with my dream of buying this phone,but after many years i finally caught up with it.and i will use it until it gets broken.i also have a nokia 5110 from when i was in high school (1998) and a ericsson t68m,i had much more phones over the year,but somehow i always sell them and buy a newer model :-) greetings from belgium

7250i is such a rugged phone. Purchased on 13th Dec 2003, shifted to 2 other phones in between and reverted back to 7250i now. It has been serving me since 7 years. Changed nothing except the batteries. And of course very recently after lot of hunting I found a new casing with which I brought back its new looks. I like it so much

I found this phone floating in a downstream down the side of the road in a rainstorm. retrieved it, unlocked it, it lasted me 5 years. it still works now and had pride of place in my man-drawer!

Awesome phone, had it from 2005-2007, I can't tell you what it has survived. I even left it in my pants and washed them in a washer and phone worked after it, its incredible, it was cleaner, too. :D

i got this 7250i as a gift since april 2004 and still using it to this date, no problem occurred except for the faded plastic housing/cover. i replaced battery once,. this cellphone is so tough that even accidental drop , still works perfectly, no damage to lcd screen, in fact the lcd screen healed itself after a black mark appeared after a hard drop. the black mark on the screen just disappeared and it is perfect again. radio is sound is great, in-full stereo. for me, this 7250i is perfect for everyday use.. SERVES ME WELL.. thanks NOKIA. looking forward to buy new nokia with features not included with 7250i, but i have no plan to replace this 7250i for everyday use.

This was my first contract phone back in 2005 and the phone was great, I had no problems with the phone, the camera quality was very good, the sound quality was excellent and the phone was very reliable - I didnt have one days problems with this phone. The battery was also great - I only needed to charge my phone once a week. This was one of the good old phones and if i can buy one again I certainly will.

I like this phone since you can do most of the basic things a phone need to do and it looks great since i have the limited BLACK edition nokia 7250i. only 42 of these were made and i have one! it still runs on the original battery and goes for around 3 days with normal use without a recharge and has an extra 1 mb than the normal 7250i models. i have a nokia e90 which i use sometimes but for a regular rough use i use this. I am using Nokia 7250i since last 4 years and I never came accross any problem so far. It is very durable,tough,and very convenient to use compare to other phones such as 6600, 3230, 6610, N 73. Although these phones have more facilities but will have some problem or the other every now and then, while 7250i had no problem other than changing the weak battery. Because I always use two phones at a time , one for business and other for personnel. I used 7250i as professional phone and went smooth all the time while others had problem some how the other. I have only one complaint that this phone book is very small That means only 500 entries. It should have been unlimited. That is the only minus point i found so far. FINALLY SAY THE BEST PHONE EVER USED BY ME. THANKS FOR 'NOKIA'

this phone is great. the best phone made in 2003 it is even better than most of the 2006 - 2007 models. the only disadvantage now is that the screen is small and over time the buttons get hard to push but apert from that this phone is the best. I recently used this phone cause my samsung has broke down and was impressed of its features for an old model and instead of using my new samsung i decided to use this. The only thing that dissapointed me is the lack of memory the internet on this phone has, since vodafone live has recently upgraded its website i couldn't go to most of it cause it said that the "file was too large to be loaded" but apart from that i love this phone and will only trade it for a phone that will do the exact same thing as the nokia 7250i.

I agree Nokia should bring this phone design & style back with bluetooth and Edge and all the latest like on the 6120 Classic..I have the classic but I really don't like the latest design ( block style). I like the to see the feature of the 6210 Classic in the cover of 7230i.. really unique design. i would also really like to see the style of the Nokia 5100 back with the latest features too. These will sell really fast- I would be the first one to buy it even.

I had this phone as a somewhat "disposable fone" since mine was stolen earlier. I must say, Im really impressed by the durability. It dropped on asphalt, i brushed it off and it continued working fine. The only thing i dislike is how it restarts when you want to select a wallpaper and the infrared. Recommended as a great basic fone.

To Vinod. Make sure you are using original batteries. Only fake batteries will heat up and can be very dangerous and explode. This is probably the most possible cause. Also buy an original charger too.

had this phone for 2 yrs ; i think that is a shit cause: it have a ugly cover whos not very resistent and not practical ; camera sucks; infrared only with computers ; 4 channels poly ; on the other way this phone is very resistent ,had long life batt ,had radioFM ,and modem , and enough memory (4MB); my phone was tortured: dropped from up to 1.5 m, leaved in rain , leaved in sun and still survive ; problem was only with wallpaper select(restarts) and speaker(intreruped sometimes) . at all is a NOKIA phone ->>>very resistent

I've had this phone for 3 years now, the only prob is whenever I try to press the right button, the phone restarts. it's quite annoying but everything else works fine, it was also my fault coz i've dropped this a LOT of times and I only had the problem after 3 years so I think that's okay. Try to reset the phone to factory settings. This will clear all settings in the phone and you should be able to configure your GPRS connection from scratch.

this is a great phone. you can get the software at nokia.com. it's a free download. you can do a lot with the PC Suite but you will need to be able to connect your phone - infrared or cable.

The messages should be able to open. Try using Nokia PC Suite 6.81.13.0 My 7250i can transfer data effortlessly through IR (include Java app,sms,images,etc.) This is a great phone. I tried my friend's Sony K608i, the IR connection the laptop is bad. It lags so much everytime i try to open the files inside it.

I have had this phone for 2 years now and until this morning it had given loyal service, unfortunately it has "kicked the bucket". It has been an excellent phone with the usual high nokia standards that I expected. The camera was never great on it but that has never been a major concern. A lovely phone to have had.

the 7250i was my old phone and when i had it it is the worst phone i have ever had on nokia, i now have the samsung d500 and it is the best phone i have ever had, also the infrared id on the top if anyone wants to know and it cant send pictures and tones its only for phone book names and business things if you want a nokia like the 7250i that the infrared works for sending pictures and tones get the nokia 3200 its better

The infrared on the Nokia 7250i was never meant to be used to transfer pictures and tones. It was a business acessory for connecting to your laptop to be used as a dial up modem. If you wanted an infrared port with that capabilty you should have bought the 6220 which was around at the same time. Still one of my favourite phones! We have one brand new one sitting in our store all sealed up and I am so tempted to buy one even although I have joined the N-series clan now.

This is my second nokia after Nokia 8210. After having used 8210 for 2 years, I had got a Samsung Blue i in 2003 & was a bit dissapointd by it. So I purchased Nokia 7250i in 3rd quarter of 2003. And I was extremely happy with the phone. It has all the features barring bluetooth. Funly looks, sturdy body, changeable covers, color screen, GPRS & a camera.......!! Boy I was so happy with it. I used to send MMS all day to my friends. Also the polyphonic tones sounded great on it. But the camera was a dissapointment. It was more like a toy. The sound quality, network strength & battery life is excellent. I got another phone, nokia 6600 in mid 2004, but I still have my 72501 as my second phone. I just love its funky looks & simplicity of use. Currently i use Nokia N70 & 7250i both.

The Infrared is a piece of crap! But I've been using this phone for about 1 1/2 years and all goes pretty decent. Except the camera and the infrared. Good thing I can always switch the cover so no one would realize how bad i treated all my cell phone.

This phone was undoubtedly one of the best looking fashion models that Nokia brought out. I had one in the turquoise green and turned heads wherever I went. The phone was excellent in terms of feautures. And please guts complain about the picture quality but at the end of the day the CIF camera wasn't meant for photogrphers but mereley as an accesory for mms in a new cellphone camera emerging market. It was nver supposed to WOW you with excellent pictures. It was merely a snap and shoot for MMS phone. The phone was light weight, good looking, loud and stylish giving it my vote of 8/10. Way to go Nokia.

This phone has served me well for the past year and a half but now the microphone seems to be dead. People cannot hear me when I call - so instead i'm on handsfree until i get a new phone (as i could not get it repaired for under $80AUD). Otherwise it was very good for calls and still works fine for messaging. If the camera was so important to me I would use my digital camera anyway its pointless taking picture under 2 megapixels anyway.

Perfect phone. Mine fell into water and was there over 15 mins before I got it out. When i got it out it was still working. next it fell into the ocean i didn't even notice till someone broughtit to me i opened it cleaned out the water and sand and it still working. I don't care what anyone says about the camera if i want to take picture i'll buy a camera this phone serves me great for receiving and making calls and for messaging.

when i first got the phone, i was pleased. it seemed to have everything, text/picture messages etc. infrared didn't really matter to me, just as well because i found it didn't work. since i've had this phone however, new models have come out & i've realised how bad this phone actually is. the camera's poor quality & there's not enough room to store anything. wouldn't recommend this phone in this day & age!

I hate it the alarm clock cannot wake me up, and the memory account is tiny, it cannot store more than 50kb. Here in bulgaria, original spare panels are obsolete. Before buying 7250i i used sendo S200X 2001model and i think it was better, at least it could wake me up

One needs to configure where the infrared slot is to be able to connect through it. And it is evident that most of you do not know where it is. It's located on top of phone, opposite to the power button. Perhaps you thought the volume adjust button is the infrared... WRONG!!!

As far as I'm concerned this phone is pretty damn awful. It just feels cheap and plasticy and the equipment levels significantly trail rivals. No Bluetooth, Infrared is non-existant, the camera is nothing short of a joke. For me, it has also proven unrelaible, within a month of buying it the keypad illumination was failing and the screen contrast would adjust by itself. The only decent thing about this phone was the radio, but most good phones have that now. I recently upgraded to a SE k600i, there's a phone I WOULD recommend.

You can't send images via infrared. It was designed soley to send basic data. Try sending a note or a telephone number and you'll find that it works first time.

I have had this phone since Dec03 and are generally fairly happy with it. I have recently worked out how to use the infared function by calling 'Nokia' help desk. Your infared receiver and the recipient receive have to be facing each other 'almost' touching. If you are sending a calander note from one nokia to another you go to: organiser/calander/[select note]/send note/via infared.

Yeah i took it in to a nokia care centre and they said it could be a virus or internal damage and it could cost quite alot to fix. And its out of warrenty so i cant get a replacement. So i took it to one of those asain phone shops and got them to wipe the phone and reinstall everything, and the same screen came up.....now i have to use a 8250 for 3 months...woooo

ATTN: Phil Reguarding your problem with where it says contact service when you reboot your phone. I know what is wrong with it. If you have dropped your phone in water or on the ground, there may be something wrong with it and will need to take it into a Nokia Care Centre or Mobile/celluar phone shop and get it fixed or replaced. I had a Nokia that I dropped and had it happen to me, i took it in to Nokia and they just replaced it for me.

I have this phone about a year now, and I�m quite pleased with it. I like the design, it�s stylish and the buttons are easy to use. For me the radio is a huge plus. The reception is good enough and you can use the headset as an handsfreekit, witch functions great. The downsides of this phone are: The screen isn�t very sharp, only 4056 pixels(or something like that). Also the camera is a nice gimmick, but the quality is very poor. And the infrared port is useless, the only thing you can do is synchronise the agenda. But I can still recommend it.

Had this phone for almost two years and although it's been pretty reliable (not counting the five days it wouldn't work for no reason, the automatic wallpaper shut down or the constant multimedia messaging failed pop ups) it's great. well iv had this fonr for 2years now and its bin good so far. thinkin of changin it soon tho as its gettin out of date! if u want to change the display pic, go to settings, display settings, wallpaper and then choose what image u want on it otherwise just takin a pic then trying to set it as wallpaper turns off the fone. good luck

well, its IR works just fine, just set the speed of your IR device to the limits of this cell phone, eg, i set it to 28kbps and it works great.

The Nokia 7250i is a handy and sturdy nokia, this is my first new nokia since the 3210,which i had from 1999 till 2004 and its still alive and working fine. The nokia 7250i was agreat step up , though it lacks in some features such as 4 channel polyphonics instead of 16 channel like a lot of phones in its class, so some polyphonic tones dont sound quite as good on the 7250i The camera quality is also not all that hot mainly due to the small resolution of the images. The infrared option is also a joke as you can only send business cards so when your pals are sending pics and tones you just have to sit and get nothing. it may sound like i am griping but there are many good features of the phone, one of which it is well built and can take a knock 3 or 4 big drops so far and it still is working fine with no graphical hitches. the phone is easily connected to a pc using a dku cable and the nokia pc suite which is the best pc/phone software i have used NEC's software is cack. the memory is great I have about 12 java games installed and about 150 tones and it still has room. A great hard wearing nokia if it lasts as long as the 3210 i cant go wrong. The only alternative i would consider would be the equally excellent nokia 6230

I've been using this phone for about 1,5 year, and I still like it. But there is something weird about it. Sometimes when i want to change wallpapers the phone shuts off and then turns on again, like it has to reboot or something. The wallpaper then can't be changed untill te current one is renamed or deleted. Does anyone here know about this problem?

Best phone. I have it and i'm very proud of it. It is small and great. The camera pictures are excellent you can put them as wallpaper. The night mode from the camera is realy ok, because you can take one photo with, and one without, night mode in low light environment, and THEN you can see the difference. With PC suite you can do allmost everything through your irda connected to your PC. I can say the phone is OK, and the design i s really nice!

okay, fine, u say it's marvelous, a masterpiece, the best... well, i say otherwise... this is a classic example of how looks could be decieving..! and it is so,,, to the hilt! i've this mobile for a year now, have i had enough money, i would have upgraded or changed it to a better model (i only like nokia... i'm comfy with it)... the 7250i is dissapointing in features like the camera (unclear image, night mode sucks!), connectivity (bt-none, infrared- good as none). there are moments when my phone just totally locks (for no reason), when you actually did'nt do anything to it. stylish, yeah... but i suggest you go out and check the other models... me..? like i have a choice...

hey jasent the cam is not tht bad. its pretty ok. you can judge by the specs given here. the VGA cams have better resolution than CIF. you want the least expensive cam phone right ? well the 3220 is an excellent bet i'd say. it's almost the same price as the 7250i. only slightly more expensive here in my country. but it has ALOT of features PLUS video recording of short clips.nokia cam phones hardly get any cheaper than this phone mate. and for this price the best cam phone would be the 3220. so there you are. hey jack, what do you really want to transfer using infra red ? you cant transfer images or ringtones with the infra red on this phone mate. :( thts a bit disappointing i know. you can only transfer calendar notes and stuff. you need a data cable to get them to your PC if thts wht you want. but just email it to your account and then download it. tht does the job too i guess.

hey saffa it's on the top left hand side corner... it's not a hole as such. but if you read the manual you'll know where it is. it's that square little area next to the hole where the strap would go.

Seems like you either love this phone or hate it. My experience with this phone over the past year is this. From word go it was junk, nokia replaced in the first week. john you need the USB cable for that and then the PC suit software which you can download from the nokia web site. if you havent got that the most simple thing to do is to send the pics to your Email addy through MMS. and then download the pics to your PC. it does cost for the MMS but not much and i suppose it's pretty easy too.

to Tania P well the zoom function can be used only after you have taken the pic.it's a pretty limited option as you cannot save the pic after you've zoomed in.so you can only, press 'options' after you have taken the pic and then zoom it.you cannot do more with it. anyway i agree with you. the pic quality is pretty good. and this is one of the few phones whr the pics look better after you've transfered it to your pc :)extremely user friendly phone.very good choice if you wanna buy it....

The pics are of great quality. Some of my friends who have paid double the cost of a 7250i to own some of the more flashy and upper-rage camera phones are amazed as my pics are much better than theirs. You have to download the pics to a PC to see their best quality. Phone screen display is not so good for viewing pics. Can anyone tell me how to access the "zoom" function?

in australia the 7250i atm, is about $300 or $350 from a more well known place such as dodo.com.au, a 3200 is about $240, the 7250i is more of a classy phone whilst the 3200 is more of a kids phone

The built-in camera in this phone is quite useless because you cannot send pictures you've taken to your notebook/ laptop via the infrared port. The infrared port function therefore of this phone is quite useless as it can only send business cards and calendar notes (WHO NEEDS THIS FEATURE!!!) to notebooks/laptops through it. SONY ERICSSON phones with built-in cameras are better as it can send pictures taken via the infrared port to laptops/ notebooks.

I have got this phone for more than half a year already... and this phone is quite good.. the looks, user-friendly interface.. but due to insufficent info collection prior to buying the 7250i.. i was quite disappointed with its 4 chords polyphonic ringtone.. its really limited! the camera was also quite crappy.. a very poor camera with a useless zoom.. however.. the phone still look quite classy and cool.. but if i have a chance.. i wont buy this phone..

I've had my Nokia 7250i for quite a while now.so far it's been a great phone and it has its pro's and con's. With it's userfriendly interface and it's vibrant colors and animations it proves to be money well spent.the only problem i've had with this phone is that there arwn't enough games.I dont understand how it is that most sony ericsson phones have games like tony hawk and V-Rally and i'm stuck with lame games like bounce and Triple Pop.And so far ALL of my attempts to download new games and ringtones have been futile.AH HELL.Another thing is the camera's resolution.It's barely a MEGA PIXEL!and though they may say it has a ZOOM feature thats just a lie.What it really has is a Zoom when looking at the poorly pixelated picture you've already took! i give it a 4 out of 5.

ppl don't mind plz, who are in love with N7250i. it is not advisable for anyone to buy this expensive phone in the presence of N3200. N3200 has more & better features than this one with a compromise on body (cover's) material and brightness of display. however the pixel quality is same in both models. the display brightness is also same on the computer. N7250i's IR is a dummy IR which can only exchange calender notes and contacts details with the computer or any other IR compatible phone whereas N3200 supports ringtones and images too. i send dozen of pictures and a few recordings to my computer daily via IR. one problem in this is that the recordings are saved in AMR format which is unable on my computer to read. can anyone advise me how can i listen to the amr files?

A customer of mine recently found a problem with 2 Nokia 7250i's he bought. When he tries to set an image as the wallpaper, the display cuts out for several seconds before coming back on fine again. Has anyone noticed this behaviour? Is it possible that it's just a dodgy batch?

T68i even sends business cards better than the 7250i does. Has 'Send All' function to back up your phonebook. OS... T68i has themes function to change the colour, background and images in the phone. 7250i? Only colour schemes.. how sad... And by the way... the T68i came out when? November 2001?... and howabout the 7250i? May-June 2003? My god.. what the hell is that idiot thinking? Even the 7250i can beat the T68i in software and connectivity... so much for 'Nokia... Connecting People'... can't even send pictures you took on your 7250i to your friend's PDA. SkySky..... If the T610 looks like a brick, then I think it's the best looking brick in the world. You want an ugly brick? Look at the 9210i Communicator. hi everybody.please stop fighting over t610 and 7250i. i have used both the phones and this is my conclusion: 1. t610 has bluetooth but 7250i does not. 2. camera of t610 is really bad,whereas 7250i scores much higher that way. 3. once you dent a t610,you replace whole body(it being alluminuim),but 7250i offers body panels. 4.no zoom in t610,,but zoom in 7250i. 5.no speaker phone and radio in t610,,but both are there in 7250i. so finally my advice is to buy a 7250i.

I wanted a new phone and i was considering this 1 but after i had a demo on 1 it completely changed my mind! The menu is the same as nokia phones from 3 years ago! It's boring! Camera quality is really bad! It looks blurred and fuzzy and has no detail in the picture. I now own a Sony Ericcson T610 and love it! the 7250i ACTAULLY has 4.2 megs of memory... i don;t know where the extra meg is compared to the 7250... it is probably lost in the night mode camera... and the extra zoom function.... But it isn;t as if you're gonna use up ALL the memory.. so it isn't much to worry about...

T610 wins. It has been argued here and overall, the T610 is far better. Every single improvement the 7250i has over the 7250 is already standard on the T610 and even some are standard in the T68i. Shows how far back Nokia is.

the 7250i is kind of different o the 7250.... for one... the i version has night camera, add pictures to ppl's names, change the menu to grid instead of list, picture editing, zoom..... but the only flaw is... the jip you off 2 megs of memory... i think it is 2 megs.. unsure.... but..... it isn;t as if you're gonna use up all the memory in the first place..... and the 7250i and 7250 are infact the same price..... i got my 7250i for 140 quid... upgrade in vodaphone UK... beautiful phone!
