  • this mobile is very good.its a little tricky but there's also help option for everything.i download any app or games-such as 2d or specially 3D.also google map.satisfy to use net.i can download any 3gp related video and song fast.you can standby app,if you cut work suddenly where your'e working you can find exactly the thing where you're working.multiple download,auto brightness,memory poor,sometime hangs and specially camera is awsome,very good focusing,gesture mode on screen,no glare under sun.and finally maybe it's heavy but it support 3G.love this phone.

All of old Nokia was bought and is owned - until now by Microsoft - who preferred to kill all related to old Nokia phones!   • Its my mom's fone, its a tough and easy to used, although this ia a old fashioned phone. The keypad, screen, sound all are great, but it has a bad camera. The result of its camera are so noisy, but never mind, because nowadays a lot of phone that have a great camera, this is just be used for text and call.

  • Bought this phone as 2nd hand in 2012, which by the way is pretty outdated by 2012 standards. Used this as primary phone up until 3rd quarter of 2013 to give way to my "new" phone which is the another legendary Nokia 6120 but reset issues due to highly likely hardware issues prompted me to use the N70 again until 3rd quarter of 2014 which saw me use the Nokia 6120 until I finally decided to ignore the gremlins and decided to live with it as a fix to the phone is no longer possible due to lack of spare parts. At the time of writing, the phone is now being used alternatively with the 6120 even if it was left out for a few months and barely used at all. The phone is still really good and even more reliable than my 6120. Great phone I should say even if it was made way back 2007, it'll eat any iphones during those period and grind them to the ground! long live the former King of smartphones during it's time!

  • I bought this phone in January 2006 and it's almost January 2015 and I am still using this phone. During all the 9 years I have been using this phone, it fell down a million times, but this phone is still working strong. Camera wise, the photos are "Ok", but photo is very bad in low lighting and when you use the zoom option. The MP3 music sound is pretty clear though. If you are one of the "minimalist" phone users, i.e. using it mostly for text/calling, this is still a good phone (although the looks/style is super outdated). During these 9 years I have had to change the battery (BL 5C) twice. The very first battery lasted 4 years, then second, 3 years, then currently I have the 3rd one. I had issues of "overcharging" because battery of this phone does NOT cut off power when fully charged, which means any excess current makes the actual battery to become thick in size. I am getting myself a brand new Android device this Christmas of 2014, it's just time of me to get a new one. Time has come.

  • friends nokia n70 is a awesome phone , if someone offered to replace my nokia n70 with any smart phone i absolutely say no to him .. its excellent front and back camera are one of main feature of it , i throw it almost 50 times on 3 years but , there is no bad effect on it, its internet speed is wonderful and the most intresting feature is its multi functioning task manaager , you can do several task at a time .

  • First set your phone date as 2006 then install. If it doesnt work then change date 2007 and go on. Change it and try to install. If not change to 2008 and try repeat it til it installed. I hope it work.

  • N70 is Great phone, it had dropped many times from my hands but it didn't had any problem, still it is working in good condition.... but micro SD card not works in N70, we have to use MMC cards.. I had 1gb MMC but it got corrupted after 2 year of usage... And when i searched in google regarding this i found that there are many people whose MMC cards also got corrupted after 2 years of usage..Formatting process fails on corrupted MMC cards & even it not detect by PC, I think this is bug of MMC cards thats why they got outdated...

  • N70 is such a great phone branded by Nokia. actually if some would ask me to exchange his iPhone for my N70, no way! I downloaded too many games on my phone such as GBA games and Ngage games and it's all working perfectly! Install Netqin AV for strong protection of the phone from viruses. Also supports 3G network for fast videocall from other 3g Network supported phones from friends, Ultimately fast Internet (use myglobe inet for Globe telecom) also by using OperaMini for fast browsing and download. :). but I do have a small problem about N70, the realplayer, when I play videos using realplayer it is not as good as playing smoothly. It is like having some lag while playing videos. so For someone who has the same problem, better use Smartmovie 4.20 for best video playing. I love my N70.

  • Most members knows how to install fonts but don�t know how to remove it. You can do that with the font remover application. You still can do it without the font remover app.. To install font, create a folder on C: & name it Fonts like this c:\system\fonts. Paste the file in the Fonts folder. Restart Your Phone. To remove font, rename the folder Fonts to any name. You can then delete it. Restart your phone.

But the limiting factor of this handset is that it's processing speed i.e. Menu will be slow if a 2GB is inserted. And even if ur phone has software complaints: u only need to update it's software once. No repeated complaints

  • 1st set all icons as you want to set , after 10 minutes use fxplorer to go to c:\system\data ,copy file naming 'Applications.dat' .Paste it in somewhere memory card as backup .Now your current icons settings are saved .If you want to apply your saved settings ,just copy 'Applications.dat' , paste & replace in to C:\system\data ,restart device .Enjoy .

Now, turn your device on while you are pressing the three buttons. Second Method: On your phone's standby screen, press the keys *# 7370#. Your phone would ask for confirmation, select yes. Then it will ask for your phone's lock code (12345 by default). Now you are finished, your phone will restart with all the phone memory formatted.

  • @shakur i think the problem is with your housing.just replaced the antenna cover where the on/off switch found.it is just a part of the housing.replace the upper-back housing then on/off switch will also be replaced/fixed.search google for how to remove n70 housing.

  • 1st .you can go application manager .and click c button or click option and click remove button. That time your pv player is uninstalled. Or 1st goto file manager->memory card->pv player and delet pv player. Or connect memory card pc and delet pv plyr

  • @mclaren i just want to correct the infos you stated last time.the code you referred as imei code,actually its not imei code it is the product code you are referring to.imei code is the 15 digit code found at the back of our phone and at the box of our phone,we can also see this by dialing *#06# in our phones.imei is also known as serial code.at the other hand product code is the 7 digit code found at the back of our phone which refers where our phones are marketed and from what network.

  • Don't worry it shows like that,just u hv to go in massege,click "option"left key,then select "setting",scroll it at d end u find "others"click it,u will find "memory in use"click it showing that which memory u hv been using 4 saving data,select another option instead of "phone memory"it mean ur "memory card" name appear select it...then aftr u don't hving any prblm regarding downloading,it happen while u remove memory card frm mobile...instead of MC,Mobile use phone memory thats why...

  • If your phone's OS is locked to a network then i suggest that you change the IMEI code of your phone and let the Nokia software updater which can be downloaded for free in their website unlock the phone. Your IMEI code is a 7-digit number combination which acts as an identity designation of your phone. It acts as an ID to let the software updater know where your phone was marketed and what network bought those units for the network to customize the phone. Locked OS can be troublesome as it restricts some functions of the phone like installing and downloading data. Your IMEI code is located at the identification panel under your battery along with the manufacturing date, Serial numbel, model and make. It's an easy thing to do. Here are the steps: 1. Download NSS software.(Google it) Install and run it in your computer. 2. Use your phone's data cable then connect it to the computer. 3. When using NSS software, just follow the instructions on how to change your IMEI. Usually it has instructions on how to use the software and how to change the phone's IMEI code. You can google any IMEI for your phone but be sure its for Nokia N70. 4. After changing the code, close the NSS software then run the Nokia updater. If the updater has denied to update, just detach and re-connect the data cable or restart your phone. if nothing happens then repeat steps 1-3. 4. If the updater has confirmed that your phone can be updated, then update your phone. If you encounter problems while doing these procedures, just repeat these steps. My phone right now was formerly from Vodafone Japan, meaning the OS was locked to Vodafone Japan. However, i find that the modifications done by Vodafone is too troublesome and has lots of restrictions, not to mention the restrictions too. I can't update, i can't install almost anything. Then i googled it and found out this method. By actually changing the IMEI number you are actually "tricking" the Updater to let you update or change your locked OS.
