Oppo R15 Pro - User Reviews

  • R15pro...18500 min after exchange of any smartphone S8...31000 S9...49000 Note8...33500 min afyer exchange of any smart phone. All in rupees. Not bad value for ip67 phone with amoled screen and vooc charging

  • Too expensive you say? At the time of writing, this smartphone price is comparable to Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Samsung S8 Plus, and also some 2018 flagship such as Xiaomi Mi8, Oneplus 6T, Huawei P20, Huawei Mate 10 Pro, Huawei Nova 3 and ASUS Zenfone 5z. You shouldn't compare to S9 as that maybe too expensive at launch, but this phone at launch actually is slightly more expensive than an brand new S8 Plus, and it's raw performance actually is inferior to a brand new S8 Plus, and even inferior to Xiaomi Mi8 and Oneplus 6T. In my opinion, this OPPO R series smartphone is the benchmark for overpriced tech that doesn't life up to reputation. You certainly can say you can accept that because your primary focus is on a good looking smartphone that take good picture and video, normal use, and you don't play games, or you can say in a turn around way that you no need so much feature and performance on a slightly more expensive device, or similar priced smartphone. Not try to offend OPPO user, but I encourage you research more before considering to buy this phone. PS:Samsung Galaxy Note 9, I don't know what is the reason, is actually sold at the same price as the R17 Pro, the new replacement model for R15 Pro. This might not happen at your region, but this definely leave me no reason to consider buying an OPPO smartphone, when there is better smartphone out there that is priced similarly to OPPO smartphone.

  • Which one best between both for selfie camera?plz practically reply?bcz pxls not matter...usage matter Oppo f9pro Or Oppo f15pro

  • I've had no issues with my phone except for the phone heating up during some game's I've downloaded from Google Play. Pics and videos are amazing and clear. I would rather buy a phone like this than a S9, way to expensive for my liking.

  • compared with S9

  • Man brand new can last a day but after few months i dont think so. And the price is horrible here. SD660 is not bad but its a CPU for phones under 300 not over 300.

  • I mean, I've been using one for five months, Battery lasts all day with heavy music and video streaming, constant social media and browsing and i dont need to charge it until I go to bed, so the battery is fine, the screen is gorgeous, Notch is barely noticeable after a few days of use and honestly looks quite cool in my opinion, and it doesnt need a snapdragon S845 to be a decent phone. real world use is important and this phone covers everything wonderfully.

  • Have had my R15 Pro now for five months, previously had a Samsung S4, my wife a S5. This phone has been really good and is far superior to the prior mentioned phones. But that is not surprising seeing that it is newer tech. Definitely no complaints with this phone. Accessories difficult to get in OZ, but available on line.

  • Has been perfect so far, first time I've resisted rooting a phone to up performance with a custom rom or kernel, I'll admit the bloat is massive in terms of vendor trash, but the battery and hardware keep up just fine.

  • Does anyone have a clue how the dual sim works. I try to forward my 2nd sim to voicemail but it calls the first sim. It's really annoying.

  • This oppo r15pro GPS signal very worst. If using (find my device) cannot locate this phone in (battery saving mode) only same time can locate in (high accuracy mode) in Google map also.

  • OPPO only now going to the UK.

  • This phone was released in Japan by OPPO. ... Why now? R17?

  • I've used Oppo R15 Pro for one whole month, I'm loving the camera which is very friendly for every user. The recorded video quality and sound quality is very good. The back camera has Utra HD which can take picture of close ups super clear. The pictures are so smooth and no pixels at all (if not zoom max). Super fast charging is really good. The battery life is also very good, it can last a day (if not playing games). Meanwhile, by playing games, the phone does not get hot. Gaming quality is very high quality graphic and no lags.

  • Already using this phone for almost 2 weeks plus. I can say that I love this phone very much. The only downside is the AMOLED screen, the colour I am not sure how come is not as vibrant as those typical Amoled screen as compared to my old r7 plus, the colour look more dull. Battery although is a downgrade from my r7 plus from 4100mah to this 3430 mah, but I still can get almost 2 days battery life. Considering playing only YouTube and receiving and outgoing call and whatsapp. Of course, just like today, I use almost 2 hours of waze and heavy phone calls, the phone when I use in the morning is about 60% and evening around 7pm, I still get 15% which is quite good. Of course can't compared with my r7 plus, which I can easily get at least 25% remaining. Overall is a great phone. Camera I would say is good but not super great. As there are quite a certain time, the picture taken is expose. For selfie, it is quite disappointed when taking a group selfie, as I am not sure how come it only focus on the main person that holding the phone to take, behind or side those ppl, their face will slightly blur out. Lastly, for music lovers, there is a simple equaliser to adjust the bass, mid and treble better than nothing of using the ear phone through headphone jack, but it will be super disappointed when using Bluetooth over the ear headset as equaliser won't work with it. Therefore, u only get a flat sound which sounds boring. Not to mentions another disappointment is the speaker from the phone, the speaker is really loud but the quality is average only. Other than this, I love this phone very much. Its really handy operating in 1 one hand. And of course not to mentioned the vooc charging which I love the most since my r7 plus. Its really fast. And best part this phone is really super smooth the interface. Of coz it immidate a lot of ios but I don't mind as it is really smooth animation. Yup, 1 last thing, for those that love to take videos, don't ever get this phone. The video recording really sucks. Does not have any stabilisation, so basically you can't move, move a bit the whole video is shaken. You can easily get headache after watching the videos. Lol. Cheers

  • I does have slow motion and it is very nice.

  • I purchased one two days ago 20,000 Thai Baht is the going price here in Phuket thats around $820AUD, $580USD a little more than I wanted to spend but it is worth it. I am very happy with the looks, size, speed, ease of operation and set up, the cameras are very good, and the quality of photos and videos so far are better than as I expected. The only negative thing for me is that you must give up one sim card slot for the sd card I previously was using a Asus Zenfone 6 for the past 4 + years but alas the battery has failed and it was time to upgrade. I don't understand all the negative comments about the USB port this phone is super fast to charge only a few hours to go from 4% to 100% including a trickle charge off the mains power. I'm not sure about charging it in the car but will try it out over the next few days (it came with a fast car charger as a separate free gift from Oppo as well as a Bluetooth Speaker, an extra set of ear phones with a selfie stick) Overall a stylish good looking phone, only two colours to choose from at the store where I purchased it due to demand colour options and numbers of phones were limited, both I was presented with were very nice and stylish, I chose the Purple it's almost black so I prefered it to the red. The download speed is much better than I expected and I was able to download all my favourite apps 41 in total and set up the finger print security, App lock security, passwords for the whole phone to my likeing in in just over 60 minutes. This is a great phone and it will get well used, over the coming weeks I will be taking many photos and video so I will report back if there are either positive or negative things I discover that is once I have given it a good run for it's money.

  • with half the price you can afford to buy mi note 3 or even a mi mix 2

  • With this i price, would prefer Oneplus 6 or Huawei P20

  • Processor too weak? Do you even know the SD 660? The only thing that is slow in this one, may be the graphic side, but not at all. Loving this one, a premium midranger that beats away any phone in this category. Maybe is expensive, but is fashion as hell, not like the OnePlus 6.

  • its Worst to buy in this price range due, to a lot of reas ons like. low quality chipset which we can easily get in budget phones as well. being a camera phone it has No slowmotion camera at all to campture the beautiful moments of life. They are using Snapdragon processor which consumes alot of battery and the battery which they are using is not sufficient it should be almost 4000mah for good performance

  • Processor too weak compared to its price, should at least put a snapdragon 800 series

  • i prefer my galaxy s6 over this piece of crab

  • Is Oppo and Vivo allergic to Type C usb??? Why BBK electronic could make Type C usb available to Oneplus but not Vivo or Oppo?

  • When is Oppo[sition] going to use USB 3.1 type c connector? too stuck with 2.0 due to old stock dangling in its factories.

  • This Oppo R15 pro support VOOC fast charging

  • What is the difference with oppo F7 ? Other then the size ?

  • Even im oppo fan but i laugh at this price in Malaysia at snapdragon 660..better go for xiaomi mi mix 2s or oneplus 6

  • Just launched in Malaysia at rm2399. Expensive for a mid-ranger although got VOCC. Can get OnePlus 6 at that price with top notch spec.

  • can buy in singapore. launching soon.

  • Is it water resistant

  • No usb type C? Who doesn't care! There is the 3.5 audio jack, that's cool (even if it should be normal...)

  • I also waiting in Malaysia here. So long already. Dunno when will launch. Still using r7 plus. Waiting to upgrade this beauty

  • when oppo r15 dme will launch in malaysia and what is the specific price for that phone?

  • nice phones but launching late in Pakistan most expensive price....

  • Oneplus 5t is way better for the same price, even lower. If Oppo is gonna release an ovepriced midranger, at least they should include a larger battery and usb type C to somehow make this phone make sense.

  • Ceramic body doesnt need those antenna lines.

  • Oppo R15 + notch + Carl Pei = oneplus 6

  • they call it a flagship... even tho it doesnt have a type-C connector nor a SD 845 U HAD 1 JOB OPPO

  • Huga price mediocre specs. Huge Price Ugly notch Huge Price Big Screen and LOW battery. Did i mention huge price? And yes its very expensive not recommed to buy due to huge price.

  • flagship? using a mid range spec...and no type c ARE U KIDDING ME!

  • call it flagship yet include snapdragon 660 at 500euro

  • why $500+ for a snapdragon six-sixty?!

  • x2

  • 500 euro for that.. ha ha ha ha ha ha

  • The notch... WTF, now look at the bottom bezel. The notch is implemented in iPhone because they eliminated all but the top bezels which houses their face ID hardwares. Now the droids were blindly imitating the notch and here it is, an unnecessarily notched phone due to the fact that the bottom bezel still exist. What an eyesore.

  • oppo needs to update their logo.

  • did you notice that the name changed from "DREAM MIRROR" to "PRO"? because they realized that was BULL$HIT

  • There is an ugly notch on the centre top. No buy. Lose the ugly notch...

  • very good looking but no c-usb port, if more inbuilt memory need more battery also 5000mah ++

  • Hopefully this will come to Malaysia. Been using r7 plus till now. Time to upgrade to this beauty.

  • Explain?

  • A failure. More than Nokia 7 Plus, OP5 and other phones.

  • r15=oneplus 6 + £10

  • (uses SIM 2 slot) NO. NO. NO. why not dedicated memory card slot?

  • the reason of why people prefer snapdragon chipset to mediatek 50euro diffrence between a phone have sd chipset & phone have mediatek chipset
