Samsung A177 - User Reviews

  • do this mobile facebook use ??

  • please i cant connect to internet please reply me through [email protected]

  • hi i bought samsung SGH A177 mobile, it don't support persian langugae , plz hel me for solve problem. answer me in email ( [email protected]) , tnx

  • my screen is crack & i want to fix it,can it be fixed

  • how to reformat my cp

  • What did you expect

  • Y would yust get the pan tech p7040p that is good and thre g now that is a good fone the pantech

  • I have owned this phone for 2 years. I wanted a phone that would do more than just receive and send calls. it didn't do much more than that. Internet connectivity is spotty along with reception. the call volume has to be turned up all the way to be useful, the keys are difficult to work with, even after adjusting to the size. The phone will shut itself off for no apparent reason. This is not a battery saving feature, it happens even when plugged in. Overall, i am not satisfied with the product.

  • I've had this phone since its first release. Absolutely no problem: stylish, built well, good features, battery life very good. Why pay more - you know what happened with the blackberry shut down:-)

  • I am only 11 and text alot with this phone. It doesn't have a glass screen so it won't break. I have had it for 3 or 4 days and I really like it. The only things I don't like is the camera quality isn't to good and it doesn't have video.I can record my own ring tones and stuff so that is great!I can easily link pictures or recorded audio to text message. Mine doesn't have a decent battery though. So I think you should let the phone die 3 times and recharge it just when it dies so the battery can hold up longer like I should have done. If I had to rate this phone from a scale 1-5 it would be 4.I People who like to text get this phone!! If you get a contract its free!! :)

  • This phone is really bad--don't buy it. It is always turning off on its own and turns off whenever I lightly set it on the table. It's incredibly hard to call people since I don't have signal ANYWHERE (even in my own HOME)and it keeps turning off in the middle of calls. The camera resolution is horrible but it has a good amount of camera settings. Finally, its battery does not last very long and sometimes it doesn't ring (most calls end up in voicemail). It's an OK phone if you're just going to use it for texting, though.

  • You can send the pictures to another phone that has a Micro SD card and can retrieve.

  • This phone is great. I've had it for a year now, and my contract is up in 1 month. Im kind of sad to see it go :) Im a freshman in high school and it works pretty good. ~Pros~ Dark or Light display option Easy texting Can set passcode lock on applications (like messaging, e mail, games, etc.) Lock Keypad function Zoom for camera Fast! (even after a year which is surprising for a non-smart phone) Actually good games Easy to use calculator Easily customizable wallpaper and theme Clearly shows texts while in other apps Brightness settings Many settings for different camera options (auto; daylight; incandescent; fluorescent; cloudy) Camera effects (normal; black and white, negative, sepia, emboss, sketch; antique; moonlight; fog) Sturdy. Its had some nasty drops. (Not by me of course, wink wink) Shows time and date on screensaver And many more haha ~Cons~ Number keys can be kind of hard to see Semi-loud key tapping. Hard to text in class :) Buttons dont always respond so fast, but they do come You have to go into settings->Sound profile->silent->edit->mute call->mute text (just to put on silent instead of vibrate!!! Vibrated 6 times for 1 text (I got back from vacation one time and had 36 texts, leaving me to deal with 216 vibrations. I think it was about to commit suicide!) I used to have a LG Neon before this, and that phone was horrible. Stopped working after 2 months. Anyways, I hope this helps!!!!! Buy it! :)

  • This phone is alright, however to me it's super frustrating that it doesn't have a memory card slot bc i can't transfer my data onto it. Oh well...

  • the phone is fine and i like it,but I have a problem , I cant access my internet in the right manner. Please assist me by sending the settings . thank you

  • Its a okay phone. My old phone broke within 2 months so i got this phone. Nothing special but is good until the end of your contract if your other phone breaks.

  • thats because bluetooth only works for the bluetooth headset. its not going to work with file transfer

  • hell no that phone is a shit ...my BF has this phone n i begged him to get another one...the bluetooth does not work at all i cannot transfer data its a waste of time in my view. now im ttrying to change the band and i cant find an option in setting that can do that....SIGH

  • I have this phone and I think it's ok, but the Bluetooth doesn't seem to work! I turn it on but Im not detecting any other Bluetooth devices....and I can't be detected either!!!! Help please......

  • this phone is ok considering its a go phone but mine randomly turns off, falls apart, and the sim card falls out also, it is big and bulky do not buy it i hate it

  • I own this phone. For those looking for a solid-built phone with lots of features and durability, this is your new best-friend. Battery life is surprisingly long, call quality is excellent. Ringtones are LOUD! Texting is a breeze. However, the A177 does NOT support USB file transfer, there is no SD slot, and Bluetooth only works for headsets. You cannot pair with another phone. Even though it is not 3G powered, internet is blazing fast. Overall, for the basic wireless customer looking for simplicity and ingeniuity, this is your match! (Can't beat the $79.99 pricetag either!) =)

  • Well, my grandma has this phone and honestly i think it stinks. It's hard to get bars, the picture quality is awful, and its hard to get a grip on. So if you're considering buying this phone, DON'T DO IT!!!!!

  • well, my grandma has this phone and i think it is horrible. its very hard to get a signal and the quality isn't too great either. the picture images on this phone are awful too. so if you're considering buying this phone, DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!

  • I am disappointed with this unit. Im from philippines and no one can detect my bluetooth that's why nobody can send me files. err!

  • A177 is a great phone in this price group. Keypad is fine, connectivity is also good.

  • I had this phone for three days and was extremely inpressed with it. Nice keyboard, ability to record your won ringtones is great. But I strongly disliked how the phone was so flimsy and had to texture to it, when lightly dropped on carpet from two feet in air, back cover and battery came off/out of the phone. You can't take video, or send/recieve any media besides pictures. I had to return it right after getting it because the microphone stopped working. I wouldn't reccomend this phone for teenagers, or anything who is likely to use this phone a lot for texting, or fairly rough with it

  • Is a good phone, very good;the only problem is the keypad, numbers and letters are stick together and you need a tiny finger like a match stick to send messages

  • thats ur opinion for this phone but for me this a great phone...

  • this phone is very cheap like my phone before samsung e2120...just to share..

  • Fair phone for the money, bought as a replacement w/o contract since my phones have a hard life. Like the display & keyboard, but reception is not very good. Keeps dropping the network (ATT) in same location that my RAZR has 3-4 bars. Lost a lot of calls & had numerous calls drop in middle of conversation due to reception problems. Phone has been in use for about 2 mos & has had problem out of box as brand new phone.

  • It is an alright phone. No bluetooth capabilities and no memory card. I've had mine for almost a year and I've noticed that the keys are starting to stick. But it's great for just texting and talking.

  • great phone

  • Overall: 4/5 stars!!1 Great phone. I loved it, although there is no hole for charms, and sometimes is hard to text on, but overall great. It has internet and games, plus really great options to really customize it to fit you. Very easy to use and really nice weight, super light. I dropped mine a lot, but it never broke, but sometimes the back cover and battery would come out.

  • _|_ phone!!!!!! really bad fone, worst thng no memcard

  • bad phone

  • is there a hole for cell phone charms?

  • this model worse... i dont like it.. in this there is no memory card & no video.. its so bad yaar

  • its in downloaded files.

  • I have owned three different Samsung models and they all do the turn on turn off thing. It is so annoying. My latest one was the Samsung solstice and I really liked the phone until it started doing this. Before long it got so bad that it wouldn't turn on unless you had it plugged into the wall. So I called ATT and they said i could send it back as long as I hadn't gotten it wet. Well I had only owned the phone for 4 months and never got it near water. I then proceeded to look for the wet sticker, or the thing in the battery compartment that turns red if wet but my phone never had one and ATT won't take it back. I have no clue what to do!

  • Does this phone has a 3.5mm space for headsets???

  • This is the worst phone samsung ever made..... the bluetooth doesnt work... it turns off ebery second... the sound quality is very poor u name it.... it has all the fault one could think off, would not suggest this phone for my worst enemy.

  • Yes, Google eBay for A-177 Data Cable.

  • This is not a bad phone for the money. One of the major drawbacks is that the processor is not large big enough to read all websites. On some sites you will get a prompt that says, "Document To Large". On YouTube you will get a prompt that says, "Format Not Supported". That being said those sites are in the vast minority. The camera's bad.. I won't lie. .3 megapixel's won't end your pic in a gallery, BUT, if you need a camera in an emergency it will do fine. For surfing, texting, and talking this phone for the most part is fine. The speaker phone is fine also. The small keyboard is no problem, the keys are tilted to contour to your fingers and work great. Overall for the price (I paid $40 thru my carrier) this phone is good.

  • Yes you can do that. You can send the same text to many people at the same time.

  • Yes I think it's up to 8. But do NOT buy this phone unless its just a temporary replacment.

  • Worst phone I've EVER had. It's constantly turning off and turning itself back on i'd say 5-10 times a day. The keys are way too small. Service is horrible. It takes forever to load the interner and it's EXTREMELY limited. I've only been able to get on Myspace, Facebook, and TMZ mobile. Texting is impossible it randomly places periods and doubles sometimes quadruples the letters I want to type. (I.e. Hey whaaaats up?) Takes horrible pictures. No video. Email is limited. Only pro is that the battery life is pretty decent and the call quality isn't bad either depending on location. All in all I would NOT recomind this phone unless it's used strictly for calls.

  • This is my phone now and am loving every part of it.

  • is there a wifi

  • yes you can

  • I am considering buying one, I was wondering if you can make text messaging groups: example: enter ten contacts into a group and only click on that group to text them all?? thanks!

  • You can buy a cable from any online vendor like AccesoryGeeks and use your own MP3 files for ringtones (you got to download the desktop software), or download them directly to your phone from the AT&T site. I've already bought a car charger, wired headset, and extra travel charger. I just downloaded OMG by Usher and already bought some TV theme songs for Tones as well. The phone doesn't have a card slot, so, really, you want to use it to listen to music? You can't. Buy an MP3 player from Overstock.com. But, really, just download the manual and you'll see that you CAN send picture email - it's even an option after you take a picture, doh! It's a great backup phone, notifies me when I have email, and I hooked it up to my Google Voice number, so I'm loving it so far. It's just that everything eats up the cash. MMS messaging (pictures) cost more, texts cost 25 cents each. Big Lots sells $$ cards. This isn't an iPhone, or a Blackberry and I'm sorry you guys paid more than $50 new. Go to Target online, or a brick and mortar store and buy. Wait for the Sunday ads, this phone goes on sale every 2 or 3 weeks. It's so small I'm leaving my Smart Phone at home to use it. I found these sites useful. Jeesh! overstock.com &

  • How can you NOT send pic messages? They are called MMS messages, which this phone supports, and you have to change your default messaging from SMS to MMS. I have been sending, it just costs a bit more. Take a picture, and then hit options, and you can choose to send an email. Download the Samsung Software for the phone, buy a cable, and you can put in your own ringtones from your own MP3 files. Check out these links, and do a Google search for A177 Samsung Accessories to buy a cable. It was pretty clear that this only connects to a hands-free headset - and since it DOES NOT

  • thats not true i have one and the Bluetooth and everything work! did u get your off ebay some where!!!!

  • yes you are right. it doesn't work and only for messaging and calls is useful. we can store many pictures but we cannot even shared.

  • True that(: &

  • Well yes there are some wrong things with this phone, bad picture quality, no video, bluetooth dont even work, but as long as i can text and call other's im alright with it, its a beautiful phone and it's the best phone i'v ever had, i had about 19 phones, no lie, and this is the best. &

  • I had this phone for about. . . 4 or 5 months. About every 15 or 20 messages, it will randomly shut off, and restart itself. Then, sometimes i will be waiting on a message and i go to look at my phone, and it's totally off. I have to take the battery out and put it back in. To be honest, i hate this phone with a passion. I bought it for 75, i didnt get my money out of it.

  • I know what your talking about. my phone after 90 days started turning off by its self, even when i was in the middle of a conversation. I called AT&T b/c it has a 1yr warrenty and they sent me another one. The one they sent me drops calls all the time and is starting to shut off by its self. So I called them back and they said they cant do any thing about it. I dont understand how the phone messes up its still under warrenty and they cant do anything about it. I have to buy another phone and have only had this one since May! I WOULD NEVER RECOMEND THIS PHONE TO ANYONE!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks man I needed to know this.

  • You state all the things that it doesn't have...but before that you start off saying it's a good phone? It's a piece of rubbish, you cannot connect bluetooth with anything bout a headset just to start. The ringtones are soft. Without bluetooth ur doomed to the 3 or so basic tones.

  • Be warned! They mislead you and say it's got bluetooth...well ONLY for the headset, so it will never pair with anything else!! It does not do VIDEO. The original ringtones are few and SOFT. The menu is unlike many phones and hard to negotiate. It looks like a Blackberry but the buck stops there. The battery life is fairly good. As for Samsung, the service stinks. I attempted to call Samsung diretly and complain but they literally blocked my number at the Vice President - Marketing's office. If you want a basic phone and it's dirt cheap...well ONLY then should you buy it. Greg [email protected]

  • damn!! why is that, the Bluetooth of this phone is not searching, i try and try it but it does not work,.or i mean it cannot search any devices....!! i need some help?! thanks. :))

  • I personally, like the phone. The only problems I have with the phone is that it doesnt take video and the picture taking quality is horrible, but other then that the phone is enjoyable.

  • Your phone's direct email address is [email protected] and it's probably a good idea to download the user's manual from the AT&T site or Samsung site. Yes, you can get a cable and download their desktop software, but it's not the best, but i was able to import vCards from my Outlook addresses, and now they are in my phone. Nope, not the top of the line, but I can send and receive messages w/o any problems. I have 147 text msgs right now. I don't use it to listen to MP3 music, but I have downloaded ringtones and some cool screensavers. For the price I paid, $50, including a $30 airtime card, it's worth it. Reallly. I even prepaid $100 so my time is good thru 2011. It is just a phone and text messenger - not too good with the web, but good for news and EZ stuff from the Samsung/ATT site only. Was able to Twitter and some Facebook but not too much - just use it as a communicator and you should be good. The problems you're having sound like maybe a bad batch or not really waiting for the bluetooth to connect. I have connected about 3 headsets to this phone, including the Motorala speaker in my car. I'm still happy with it - going on 7 mos. owning it and not being in a contract. If you have Yahoo! or AOL for mail, man, it's the best!

  • Well i kinda wish it had video. I mean what sophisticated phone doesnt have video? I also have a problem with blue tooth. This phone could have been very handy if these needs were met.

  • i berly got this fone but it seems alright .. i guess .. but ima see if its really that bad

  • i absolutley hate this hpine i would not reccomend it what so ever, why? well because its very stubborn like it would only let me recieve text messages from certain people, not only that but i had terrible service any where i went, its just the phone because some of my friends and i were texting and they all have at&t as well and they all had service except for me because i had this phone. it had bad battery life and couldnt store very much memory i could only hold at the most 40 messages in my inbox then it would start deleting the messages i recieved so i could never read them, all in all DONT BUT THIS PHONE! unless of course you like getting annoyed by phones(:

  • It wont let me send pic messages... wont connect in bluetooth... wont recieve pic messages... and it might as well not have anything.

  • i hate the fact that the Bluetooth it doesnt connect with other person phone

  • like the phone easy to type on and good for sneak txting when ur supposed to be asleep

  • hi i also have a problem with my A177 i cant connect to the internet and my bluetooth dont connect to other phones

  • ok, so the phone isnt a bad phone but, its has things that make me not so happy with it, like it dont have a signature(i got over that no big deal really) but the bluetooth dont work with other phones thats one of the main things besides texting that i wanted thinking about switchin to straight talk because the have phones with bluetooth that work and 45 dollars and you get unlimited everything including internet, at&t is 60 and dont include internet but, the phone isnt bad i like it except it not having bluetooth...

  • Is there any way to connect this telephone to pc ?

  • This phone's cool, but seriously why doesn't it have a signature!!!!

  • Its a pretty good phone i had to buy it cuz mine dies, the only thing I dont like is the fact that i cant put music on it. it doesnt have a micro sd thing so i cant transfer my ringtones and wallpapers through sd or bluetooth. other than that its ok

  • Alright, for starters, this phone was pretty good when I first got it. Except for the fact that you can't bluetooth ringtones. But then my keys started messing up, and after i had it for 90 days, the entire thing shut down, and it stopped working. Two of my friends bought this phone, and it did the same thing to them after 90 days. I bought it for $100 at Best Buy right when it came out. THIS PHONE IS JUNK!! Although, if it does break, all you have to do is take out your sim card, and turn it on, then enter this code *2767*3855# and it will do a master reset but you lose everything off your phone, numbers and all.

  • One thing that gets on my nerves every single day with this phone is you can barely hear it vibrate..over the month's you have it the vibration gets weak..but other then that it's a good phone that's why i'm still with it..

  • was it that easy just put in the sim card and it worked ,did not have to be unlocked ?

  • how do u go on the mp3 player on this phone?

  • It can limit 1836 characters per text message.

  • No.

  • It can use 1,836 characters per text.

  • Not a phone i would recommend for texting, it adds periods on its own without even pressing the period key, so u have to go back and delete it. And bluetooth hardly gets connected, the internet is super slow.

  • am i able to put my 3G sim card into this phone and have it work, if the phone is "unlocked" ?

  • how many characters can u text? my old fone could only use 160 and just wonterin if this is anybetter????

  • Yes its true when you type really fast some of the ketters you pressed won't show up. VERY annoyinq.

  • Can i put music in this phone? if so, about how many songs does it fit?

  • Love this phone! I bought it in January 2010 at Target on sale for $49.99. Easy to hook up my bluetooth headset (that's the only Bluetooth you can use with this phone). BUT, I downloaded the software from the Samsung site and was able to import all of my contacts from Outlook! SWEET! My AOL email service is built into the phone and it notifies me when I get email (LOVE THAT). I can get my gMail on the browser-I just set it up as a favorite, along with horoscope, news, etc. I was sick of Sprint and contracts! The GoPhone cards can be purchased anywhere. I'm in So. Calif, and haven't had any connection problems with this phone at all. You can download the manual from the Samsung site. These are GREAT links for accessories and tips on using this phone: att-cellphones.org/tag/att-samsung-a177/ and wirester.com (car charger, data cable, covers, wired headpieces, holster, etc.) I love the buttons on this thing too. I was really surprised how ez it was to text and enter numbers, etc. It's how they're molded like little pyramids or something.

  • how is call quality and speakerphone?

  • Just got this today at Target for 49.99, comes with 30dollar air time. It's great for me cause I don't talk a lot and I was wanting a full keyboard. I like that I am able to access the net if I want (although it's a real $$ drain). I have stubby fingers and am still able to type ok. I really recommend getting a cover for it cause I already dropped it once and the back flew off and the battery came out. Nice phone for the price.

  • Yes it does but its not really useful. It only works with a bluetooth headset

  • Does it have bluetooth?

  • So I bought this phone today. I am a fast typer and I noticed that when I press two letters after each other quickly, the first letter would not show. Does anyone have such a problem? try writing "am" really fast and see if the a would show.

  • So I bought this phone today. I am a fast typer and I noticed that when I press two letters after each other quickly, the first letter would not show. Does anyone have such a problem? try writing "am" really fast and see if the a would show.

  • No, previous poster is right. It's $50 at Target starting today, just got mine.

  • FYI Target price is $79.99 on sale.

  • $49.99 in Target stores this week!

  • Lost information booklet. How do you read incoming and sent text messages on this phone?

  • This is WAY too bulky for what it is Samsung should have been able to fit this into a P300 case

  • i know i dont how either its weird....

  • can you set a signature on your messages?

  • Can u put music on this phone and does it hold songs please email me the answer PLZ at [email protected]

  • Wat best buy did yu go to I went today and it's 79.99? As well as target.?

  • no auto delete and it does have vibrate mode.

  • it doesn't have auto-delete and it does vibrate

  • This is actually a very good phone for the money. My daughter broke her LG Neon and was not eligible for an upgrade for about 6 months. On the advice of one of the salesmen at the AT&T store we went to Target and bought one of these and just put her sim card in and voila! It worked perfect. She actually likes this phone much better than her LG Neon. If you're looking for a phone that has good basic features and even some advanced, I'd recommend this one. This phone was much better than other pay as you go phones and has a very nice operating system, everything is very easy to get to. Much easier learning curve than the Neon.

  • I'm getting this phone for christmas, and i was wondering a few things.... does this phone have auto delete for your texts, or no? and does this phone have the abbility to go on vibrate mode?? please reply, and thankyou!

  • This is great phone and only 39.99 in BestBuy.

  • currently on sale at walmart.com for $78.88 which includes $50 airtime credit

  • This is a great phone if you keep in mind it is a gophone and not a $300 dollar phone. It has far more than I expected. Call recption in great, battery life is great. The camera was better than I expected. I downloaded a couple of ring tones and life is great. I got a phone that does what I need for a fraction of the cost of buying a plan phone from ATT. I just popped my plan sim card in and I even got credit for 150 minutes. What more could anyone expect?

  • Kayla, My son just bought me this phone for christmas and paid $79.00 for it, but it is not the phone I actually wanted. If you are intersted in purchasing it, let me know. I am in California [email protected]

  • 12/14/2009 currently on sale at Target for $50.00

  • I hate this phone I just bought this phone and i can't bluetooth, can't send or recieve mms messages and it doesn't have a place for a memory card. Also no video camera on this phone. Internet sucks...takes 10 minutes or 10 more tries to get to google home page. You only get 4 tones to choose from for your message tone only, so you can't program ringtones as a message alert! I seriously bought this phone today because it was on sale at Best Buy for $79 but I'm for sure taking it back tomorrow. I highly recommend that no one buy this phone...it looks great but it works terrible!!!!!

  • mine's a gophone, $59.99 sale at Best Buy til tomorrow I guess

  • phone can't bring family together, its just a tool for communicating

  • just bought mine from Best Buy and its on sale now for $59.99. also, bought unlock code from ebay so I can use with any operator (ATT, T-Mobile, Net10, Tracfone) anywhere (its quadband).

  • hi where r u located i am looking to buy a samsung a177 in georgia is yours a go phone or did you have to sign a contract

  • hi i agrre but i wish they hed more colors and fetures ang a better keeboard but i agrre a phone can do a job

  • this looks good and i just wanted to say this phone is bringg my family toghther agian thanks i love you

  • I bought the a177 at Best Buy they are $59.99 there. I really like it so far, except the middle button that goes straight to the internet. I think that's the regular price at Best Buy or Maybe it on sale this week. 11/22/09-

  • This phone looks so nice! I am so excited to get it! (:

  • AT&T really need more full keyboard phones!!!!!!!!!!! the kids at my kids school all full keyboard phones any mine don't because AT&T doesn't have any nice ones on the 2 year contract plan! AT&T needs something like an enV3 or enV touch! there aren't any nice full keyboard phones for teenagers! i hope AT&T comes out with something like that soon before i switch to a network with full keyboard phones!

  • Is this phone going to be on sale for Christmas? I want it so bad but the economy is tearing down so you just can't afford $100 anymore.

  • Are there plans to manufacture it in pink or will it only be black?

  • how do you get songs as your message tone?

  • how do you use the blue tooth on this phone?

  • I really want this phone! I have had plenty of phones but none of them full keyboard!! I don't want anything like a scoop because it gets loose and that's the same way with something like an enV. That's why I want this one or a blackberry!

  • Have had this phone for 2 months now. Good size, lightweight, easy to text on, very good battery life. Overall a very solid phone for the money.

  • How do you delete someone from the reject list?

  • no the texts arent threaded, wish they were though.

  • Did it stop blinking on and off. just wanted to know just for future refrence. if i decided to buy this phone

  • I plan on buying this phone, I want something like this. Something like a Blackberry. I currently have the Virgin Mobile X-tc and I'm planning on buying this within the next two months or so, I'm going to be cheap and wait until it's on sale. (; Hahah, but I only have one question, are the texts threaded? Like AIM?

  • I have had this phone for two weeks now and its great except for the bluetooth.

  • 120 inbox 110 outbox

  • it has speakerphone.

  • This is my first phone. First of all, it wasn't that expensive. It is very practical, thin, and light. Many people had it confused with a Blackberry. The only things that I do not like is that it doesn't have speakerphone, can't record videos, and it doesn't have very good bluetooth. Other than that, it is a good phone. :)

  • i actually got this phone for 50$ at walmart it was on sale

  • upgrade will be done on March 2010 oops

  • I bought this phone last month, I wanted a Blackberry but it is not time to upgrade through AT&T yet so this will do until then. The bluetooth on this phone sucks, I have not been able to connect it to my computer like other phones. The camera quality isn't the greatest and there is no video recording. This is the best phone, besides the Blackberry for text messaging though. It does not have memory card support but I don't have to delete text messages until after I've already reached 200+. I'm on an AT&T monthly plan so I simply bought this GO Phone and used my previous SIM card to stay on my plan. The main thing I don't like is you cannot delete the shortcut to the browser so if you hit that key a lot like I do, it connects you to the internet, but you can quickly end it by hitting the end call button. The sound quality is good enough for me, I rarely ever use the speakerphone. I only plan to use this phone til March 2009, when I upgrade to the Blackberry through AT&T for $149 (at Best Buy). If the main thing you are looking for is a good phone for text messaging, this is the phone for you. The keyboard is nearly identical to the Blackberry in size, and for me, makes it even faster to text than a standard cell phone.

  • What phone would you guys recomend if i just wanted a nice looking phone with camera and bluetooth?

  • can you access your gmail account on this phone?

  • I think this phone looks really good but i dont know how good it is...if anybody has and opinon..PLEASE TELL ME!

  • I got this phone for $99 at best buy. It was the only decent looking phone there with AT&T go phone. So far I like the phone and its features. At first it acted weird when i was charging it for the first time. It just blinked off and on for a good 15minutes. I took the batter in and out several times before finally it just stopped. The camera could be better as far as quality, wish it had video. But by far everything else is great and ringer is very loud and display is bright along with keypads that light up. No memory card support on this phone. It does do mobile banking so you can link up a provider. Someone said no on blue tooth but I found the feature in the menu just have not tried to use it yet.

  • I've had the phone for about 2 months, and for the most part I love it. Love the keyboard, looove the ability to password protect applications, love the camera, the only part I do not like is the inability through Bluetooth. I was very dissappointed when I realized that. But if you want a phone that looks cool and one just for texting, this is your phone.

  • Ive had this phone for about a month and a half, right when they hit the shelves i got mine, it is a great phone for people wanting the look of a blackberry and basic features of a normal cell phone, it is excellent for texting, taking pictures, and using calender features. I would recommend this phone to anyone wanting the look and feel, just not the hefty price.

  • okthe person down there..does itcome with 50 bucks on the phone already?

  • I've had this phone for about a month now. I didn't expect it to perform like an I-Phone so it comes as no surprise that it is a pretty basic phone. I wanted some PDA functions like appointment reminders and such. This phone delivers admirably. The sound quality is a bit scratchy at times and the camera doesn't match my high end Canons but it is serviceable. All in all it is a great value for 50 bucks. Getting the free 50 dollars air time is tricky. If you are moving your SIM from another gophone, AT&T will weasel out of giving you credit for the airtime (unless the old phone is less than 4 months old). Only new gophone accounts get the airtime. I raised hell and got the time credited to my wife's phone so it wasn't a total loss. Go with the $1 a day/ 10 cents a minute plan. If you call only AT&T mobiles like I do the air time is free so you basically pay a dollar a day for the phone service. Overall, I like the phone. Battery time is as advertised.

  • also, i've never had so many buttons on a phone

  • i bought this phone after my at&t contract phone died. at&t has a rather limited selection of gophones, and so for $99 it came between this and a razr. the phone is really just average, but with full qwerty keyboard which is a plus. i do not browse the web at all so i cannot comment on that. it's really just a great replacement phone for someone who texts fairly often, but doesn't browse the web. bluetooth shortcomings were frustrating.

  • I have the same problem. Help?

  • How do you read and type japanese on this phone?

  • can u recieve bluetooth exchanges my doesnt pick up any phone

  • how many text messages can this phone hold until it asks u to delete them??

  • How do you auto delete text messages?

  • You can download mini opera from your phones browser. Where you input a url, type miniopera.com. If it says your phone isn't recognized or unsupported choose to download anyway and save it to your applications.

  • andd alsoo can you take pictures and sendd them to like myspace or facebook.?

  • if youu get a ringtonee of a website or somethingg.... can you set it to play when you get a text messagee.?

  • great phone u can easily transfer data music with a 2 dollar cable from amazon! keyboard is great, i have opera mini downloaded for 85 bucks u CANNOT go wrong

  • yes u can..

  • Is there an auto delete option for when the memory is full it will delete messages instead of doing it manually?

  • I am looking @ this AT&T go phone, to take back control of my exspenses. I have had a Blackberry Pearl with a sd card slot and the ability to bluetooth files from one device to another and an mp3 player, guess what I never used them. I am looking for a phone to take calls, check emails, receive text messages for potential leads, veiw websites posting those leads. I think this is the phone that will serve my purpose with out a contract with a carrier that for some reason keeps double billing me for apps on my plan.I can get a prepaid plan for voice and data for about $75.00.

  • go to pictures, then to downloaded graphics, ull find the picture there

  • Does this phone have WiFi internet ?

  • i cant figure out how to save a picture from a message i got it to save to my files but i cant find my files.

  • It's about $100 CAD after tax for prepaid service too (you can only get the phone with prepaid anyway; no plans). Our camera is only VGA though. It looks nice to me. It comes in blue rather than black. I bought it mainly for looks, the QWERTY keyboard was a bonus for texting. If you like to text with a good looking phone, I'd recommend it.

  • The Roger's phone (Canadian) is renamed the Samsung Hype A256. You can set the camera mode to silent with it. It probably has to do with the carrier's OS if AT&T phones can't do this.

  • ive owned this phone for about a month now and i have to say i am not too impressed. this phone would have been impressive about 5 years ago. this phone masquerades as a feature-rich phone with it's blackberry-ish layout, but it's a basic phone beyond that. for a brand new phone in 2009 at this price range it is surprisingly lacking on features that have become pretty much standard on phones costing half the price. no stereo bluetooth. no voice dialing. no video recording. no sd card slot. only 16mb storage, cant set anything over 300kb as a ringtone, no 3G, can't change the message tone, measly 1mp camera...and the features lacking goes on and on. it would be an acceptable phone at $50, but definitely not for the $100 range. If you want features, you can do alot better for the price. look to the virgin shuttle, for example. the only reason to own this phone is if you want a querty keyboard/large screen/blackberry-ish looking phone to impress your friends.

  • you cannot silence the camera. you can only change it's tone. even if you turn your phone to silent mode, the camera will still make a tone when you use it. so you cant take people's photos without them hearing the tone.

  • yes, you can get on the internet with this phone.

  • ringtones are limited to 300kb. so unless your song falls into that category - which is very unlikely because thats not alot of data - the phone won't let you use it for a ringtone.

  • there is no memory slot of any type on this phone.

  • From the specifications: Card slot No

  • just to let everybody know, this phone is about 15 dollars cheaper in walmart.

  • does this phone have an expandable memory slot?

  • how can i put opera mini on the phone and opera mini is a web browser

  • how is the battery life on the phone? like is it goood or bad

  • im not 100% sure but from what i have heard its pretty tricky to change the ringtone unless you buy from at&t

  • this is totally the best phone i have ever had the camera si awesome the data cable you can easily buy and download stuf to it i just got the phone a day ago my friends also love. this cell has internet and an awesome qwerty keyboard its almost like a blackberry but cheaper. hope you guys like this phone it really is better than other att cell phones. I LUVVV THIS CELL PHONE

  • im getting this phone on sunday and i was wondering hows the camera quality. do it take good pictures please respond.

  • im getting this phone but i have a question about it..... can u record music then set them as your ringtone/message tone?

  • So... Can you get on the internet with it?

  • can anyone tell me how to silence the camera? I did go to camera settings and its not working..help!

  • I hope you like your phone frozen 30% of the time. Just sold an LG Incite to buy this because it did nothing but freeze. WInMO=FAIL

  • People who give this phone low marks probably never had it in their hands, let alone used it. But for me - this phone really surprised me in a very positive way. Forget about Blackberries and Nokia E-series - it's not what you pack in the phone - it's HOW SMART OPTIMAL and INTUITIVE the features are. Take screen for example - Samsung's 2.2 inch 220x176 resolution beats hands down Nokia 320x240 screens. Why? - Screen management: font, spacing, contrast, speed - it's all better than high-end BBs or Nokias. Full keyboard is a blast to text fast. Reception, audio quality is top notch. It's light , it's bright, it's fast, it's thin, stylish and durable. All that for 50 bucks ( yes, it comes down to this after ATT promo) It's a quad-band messenger phone that's impossible to beat in terms of easy of use, affordability. This fone would have been perfect if it wasn't for ATT's commercial software junk found throughout the fone's menu. And lastly, to the lazy nitwits who complain about lack of blue-tooth computer compatibility - get yourself a friggen $2 data cable or simply email yourself whatever you need.

  • also... why are people bitching about the bluetooth? just send the picture or the music file thru the phone as a media message. DUH.

  • i dunno if you were answered yet or not but YES you can put music on the phone from your computer. just hook it up to the comp. :]

  • this phone is like any other at&t phone. the rate plan options are the same. the top ups are the same. the text options are the same. DUH. but you can get it put on a plan if you want to, also just like with any other at&t GoPhone. this phone looks like a blackberry and acts like a blackberry, minus the high price. its great! :]

  • this is a normal size phone and the keys fit big hands... like mine... and no you can choose to buy $25 dollar top up cards rather than 3 dollars.

  • i just got this phone today and yes the screen is a decent size. i would say that the keys are perfect size for me but then again i have smaller fingers. but so far i like the phone.

  • you dont have to pay 3 dollars a day. u can pick your plan. I believe 3 dollars a day is unlimited everything. My plan is 1 dollar a day.

  • hey...i was wondering if the screen is big or what? Also do u really have to pay 3 dollars a day if u use it. are the keys big enough for big hands pleeze answer

  • Quick question, would I beable to recieve twitter updates to my a177 through text message? I know that metro pcs doesnt allow you to, so im just wondering if I can get them on this phone

  • I have a samsung A177 and it can not send r receive bluetooth please assist me as to what or how i can correct this problem thank you fiona mcnaughton

  • just ordered this phone a few minutes ago, didnt know you couldnt send/receive pictures or ringtones with bluetooth though, thats a disappointment - other than that, i think i'll love the phone.

  • no you cannot, there is no expandable memory.

  • I'm not happy with it, there's more you can't do than you can do with this phone, come-on camera with no flash, says it's a mirror in the manual lol waht a joke, if you buy the usb cable for it and download the samsung software theres even more you can't do that you didn't even know you coudn't do in the begining with this phone, I going to go with a windows mobile phone next time...

  • well some of yall r acting lik this phone is so bad but its really not its actually a great phones for teens and preteens nice keyboard, great quality pics, get full music and (15 sec) ringtones nd i love this phone nd if u dont want this phone its another similar called the magnet its the exact same but orange nd its not prepaid

  • i had gotten the phone and was happy intill i found out you can not send pics or music though bluetooth this does bite and also they need to add a easier way to get a mp3 player i just think they need to update the phone so u can put a memory card into it

  • why will the samsung a177 only use a headset can you not send or receive bluetooth?

  • No 3G. No Wi-Fi. No Cardslot for SD card Only 16MB of storage. This phone would be awsome in 2004! Not much of a phone, a good text tablet I guess. I'd pay no more than $50 for this phone.

  • I wish someone would jst answer the question can u put music on this phone with a data cable everyone asks it but no one know the answer somebody plz answer it

  • How is the quailty of the web browser?

  • Your A177 will not bluetooth files, its works just for headsets. if you have a problem getting it to work with a head set call samsung. Other then some of these needing a master reset they have been great cheap phones!

  • I just got this phone about three days ago and I love it. It has some really cool features like pop-up lists. That saves me the trouble of opening up every menu to view its options. Its a very fast phone. I love its look and how light weight it is. I am still learning about all its features, but I am not a big feature person. I have had the new sony ericson walkmen phones offered through AT&T and cingular for the past four years and never used all the features. This is also a great phone because there is no commitment, which is great since my daughter broke my last phone (that was brand new).

  • really? is it that great cause my phone broke and I wanted to get this one lol

  • You can have any ringer as your call ringtone but you can't change the message ringtone.

  • It appears that bluetooth capabilities are very limited with this device. I also cannot send files from device to device. It will only find handsets and pair. This must be by design. Not sure if the Samsung Magnet phone has the same issue since they are the same phones.

  • How did you get the thing to send pictures to work? .. not the bluetooth the msm or whatever it's called.

  • samsungs are like that I haven't had any that connect I've had 3 and none bluetooth. :/

  • What about being able to text mp3 files? Mine won't seem to do that either. Any advice??

  • The bluetooth only works with handsets. Can't send any files over bluetooth.

  • I cannot get my bluetooth to work! can someone please help me!?!?!? :)

  • i just got this phone last week and still havent figured out how to bluetooth. i turn bluetooth on and search for devices and none are found, no one can connect to me any help???

  • can you recieve songs and pictures through bluetooth? my lg shine was able to... i turned bluetooth on but everyone i've tried to get send me something won't work... i have a lot of things i want to be transferred but can't

  • Junk!

  • i jst want t0 let all n0 wh0 is reading this that the samsung manget & this ph0ne is the same..its jst that at&t change the name f0r the blck 0ne b/c it prepaid but if yuh dnt like it in y0u can still buy it & just buy a c00l c0ver.. asl0 the magnet is just a c00l burnt 0range c0l0r. hope dis answ3r 1 0f y0ure q's

  • It looks Awsome ,OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is truly the best phone ever. It is great for texting and emailing with the qwerty keyboard. Calling volume isn't the best, you can hear okay. Ringers, games, and other features are excellent!

  • does the samsung a177 let you set any song as you call ringtone and your text ringtone

  • Got the phone a couple of days ago and love it. Sold my iPhone to get out from under the mandatory data plan and, with this phone, adding unlimited data to my account was only 10 bucks a month. Can't beat that with a stick! Good call quality, easy bluetooth pairing, well laid out menu system, good feature set (email, browser (especially with Opera), and support for a lot of add on Java 2 Mobile Edition apps. It was curious to find no built in support for Gmail, and also no "new mail" notification for the built in email support (not background processing for email), but SMS and MMS are ridiculously easy to use while being powerful. Picture quality in good light is excellent for being plain VGA, and they keyboard is good (not quite as good as my Dash was, but very good). Loud ringers, easy ring profile selection, etc. A little miffed with the fact that the clock on the home screen doesn't always update when the keyboard is locked (what's up with that?), and the Fn/Shift key rules are a bit odd, but all in all its a great phone. If I wanted full length videos, memory card slot, etc., etc., I would have kept using my Dash, Wing, or my iPhone (the latter, while "cool" was the biggest waste of money I ever spent on a phone).

  • You sure can! In fact I'm listening to it as I type this. :) Turns out, it does have a 'hidden' mp3 player - after a fashion - and it will play full-length tracks (the 15-sec. limitation applies only to ringtones). To reveal the mp3 player you have to have mp3 files in the Downloaded Tones folder. You either have to d/l files over-the-air, or use PC Studio (via Media Manager) to put them on via usb cable (what I did). Once you have at least 1 music file in this folder, you can select it, then hit Options, Play... and voila! the mp3 player magically appears :) To be sure, it is *extremely* basic; that's why I said, "after a fashion". Only Play/Stop, go to previous track/next track. You control volume with the rocker on the left spine. There are no playlists, it auto-repeats the selected song at the end, so you have to manually select another because it does not automatically advance to the next, no album art (just a scrolling filename), and no EQ. But hey, it woiks! As mentioned previously, you could use a Java mp3 player app for more options. Sound quality from speaker is, as you would expect, tinny... though loud. Using stock Samsung 'phones, it's much better, but still lacking in the bass department. But it's listenable. What I did was use the free 30-day trial version of MP3Resizer (Google it) to make reduced copies of the original files so I could get more on the phone. The trial version is fully functional. I'm averaging ~1.5-3 MB each song, compressed, using 64 kbit/22kHz setting on the resizer, from ~5-10 MB original files. Sound quality degrades, but it's not bad... about FM radio quality. And you can get more than 1 track on the damn thing! :D You could use 80 kbit sampling to get a little better sound at the expense of a little more file size.

  • Can you put music onto this phone?

  • Forgot to add one other thing; due to strict Java permissions incorporated by Samsung, some apps cannot be installed, even if signed by a trusted source. There seems no rhyme or reason to this; it's hit-or-miss if a particular one works or not. Holding one's breath and praying for an app that you just paid good money to d/l is not a good user experience!

  • Having played with the phone for several days now and familiarizing with the ins and outs, I have some things to add to my review. 1. You can use PC Studio (latest version) and a data cable ($21 from AT&T store) to add or remove audio and image files and sync contacts, but you cannot add Java apps this way. If placed in the Other Files folder, the phone will store, but will not recognize them (this folder apparently acts as mass-storage only); and any attempt to place them in music or pictures folders as a workaround returns an unsupported format error. The Games and Applications folders are not accessible via the software. It does seem that either Samsung or AT&T (or both) disabled the ability to add applications by any means other than downloading via wap. A shame, it seems that contrary to my earlier praise, AT&T may be following T-Mo's lead in crippling phones so they can monetize every aspect. :( You can't email them to yourself either, because the built-in email app doesn't allow d/l of attachments and Opera Mini (using webmail) will not recognize .jar extensions as attachments. So if an app you want on the phone is not available on wap or http, you would have to upload it to your own server so you could then d/l. 2. Image files have a size limit; I haven't yet determined what it is, since the software doesn't tell, but it disallows loading any image over a certain file size. I suspect, unfortunately, that it may be tied to the camera's resolution (which seems to be the case with other Sammys). So even with 3rd-party image viewing apps, the phone won't accept image files over that limit (whether or not they can be stored and accessed via such a 3rd-party app in the Other Files folder as a workaround, is unknown). 3. Opera Mini 4.2 works very well. 4. Google Maps installs ok, but freezes during connection. Haven't yet figured out if this is because of wrong version issues, or the network. 5. Stock email app works very well; simplistic, but gets the job done. 6. You can use a 3rd-party mp3 player app (KD Player seems to work well), and compress mp3s on your pc prior to transfer to fit more in the limited memory using a compression utility.

  • I just got the Samsung A177 a couple of days ago, and it is hands down the greatest phone that I have ever held in my hands. I used to have a blackberry, but it just got too complicated, and I HATE the scroll ball. If you are an existing AT&T customer all you have to do is slip your sim card into this phone and you're set. No activation and no dealing with AT&T representatives. In my opinion the Samsung A177 is easily the best phone available from AT&T at this point in time.

  • Looks on the cheap side and limited on the features, appears 99 cents store stuff!

  • Looks can be deceiving, and in this case, they are. Best described as a RAZR V3 in Blackberry clothing; while it successfully masquerades as a well-appointed device, in reality, it's lean not only in physical dimensions, but in the feature department as well. It is actually a very basic phone once you get past the full QWERTY. In response to an earlier poster, it is identical to the Magnet (a257), except in color scheme. In fact I've seen the a177 also referred to as the Magnet. Pros: Quadband GSM, thus a true world phone. Verified unlockable by hypersim. GPRS/wap config parameters readily accessible via menu, not hidden. Thus, wap could be configured for use with an overseas carrier (for those of us who travel). I commend AT&T for being good about this. Java MIDP 2 and can run the likes of Opera Mini, Google Maps, etc., thus putting it when so equipped into the borderline 'smartphone' category. No Java permissions issues that I'm aware of. Again, thank you, AT&T! Sound quality in calls EXCELLENT both in normal and speakerphone modes, and bluetooth works great on a headset. By gosh, it's a phone that actually excels in what a phone is supposed to do, ya know...make calls? :-) Loud ringers and other tones (depending on settings). Screen is decent sized and while only 176x220 pix & 65k colors, it's quite crisp. EDGE capable (but no 3G) IM capable Has a very good suite of tools and organizer features Some good apps come stock including Wiki Mobile, mobile email, and mobile banking, again putting it in near-smartphone class in the ways that matter Slim, feels good in the hand, good for pocket carry, & seems durable. Looks sharp and businesslike, so adults (like me) wouldn't feel silly about brandishing it in public. Cons: No memory card slot; 16 MB of shared memory. Contrary to what some posters say, it's not at all unusual for prepaid phones at least those in the mid-to-higher price tiers, to have memory card slots nowadays; in fact it's almost becoming standard. No mp3 player. Ringtones can be mp3, but limited to 15 secs max. It may be possible to add an mp3 player Java app, but with the limited memory, you won't get much music on it. No A2DP bluetooth profile, but with no mp3 player it matters not. No bluetooth file transfer profile, so can only use PC Studio + (proprietary) data cable to get files on and off the phone unless emailing/mms-ing them to yourself or d/l via wap ($$$). Bluetooth is headset/handsfree profiles only. No photo editor; cannot zoom, rotate or fullscreen pictures (except fullscreen possible by setting as wallpaper, but with overlaid time/date/network info on home screen). I have no idea if there's a file size limit with pics uploaded to the phone (not taken with its cam). Camera takes mediocre quality photos, yes it's only a VGA but the old RAZR VGA kicked this one's butt every which way to Sunday. No video. Full QWERTY nice, but keys very tight so it's kind of difficult for those of us with big thumbs. This isn't really a con so much as an observation, as the full QWERTY is, as mentioned, nice. In summation, this is by all accounts a good workhorse, but those who want features like expandable memory, music playing and picture viewing will be disappointed.

  • I haven't recieved my phone yet, I order it today. I'm very big on texting and it was at a very reasonable price.I currently have a LG Shine. I'm not expecting alot from the phone due to the price, but from what I read it will be very sufficent for me. Thanks Samsung, for all of you who posting negative stuff, just don't purchase it and you won't have to complain. If you have already bought it and you are not satisfied. You should have researched the phone before buying as I did. Once again, Thanks Samsung

  • well i dont have the phone yet but i will soon. and i think juss by reading about it its a nice phone and not for a bad price...i think its worth it...:)

  • Phone memory capacity is 16 MB, not 64 as stated herein. Off-the-shelf, about 14 MB of that is user-available.

  • I just got this yesterday as a temp replacement from my broken Samsung SLM (A747). Keys for texting are on the really small side. Things missing from this phone that my SLM had: MP3 player, memory expansion slot, ability to sync with my PC using the USB data cable (Samsung PC Studio 3 software), has standard VGA camera. But then again it is considered as a "low-end" texting phone at a reasonable price. This will have to do until my upgrade grace period is renewed with my carrier. Please share if anyone can figure how to sync with Samsung PC Studio/Phone Editor 3 using the USB data cable!

  • ok first of all- most of you ppl dont even have the phone... i do and btw it works perfectly and is not a "toy for 5 year olds" so either buy the phone or stop judging it. its great for texters has a decent camera, a good keypad, clear calls, and a lot of great tools.

  • i have had this phone about a week and it is a great but ringtones have to be less then like 15 sec, there is no sd slot, no video recorder, after so many pics you can not save unless email to yourself, unless you have the net then you can not even get no cool ringtones it is a nice phone but missing a lot. but it has great photo tools and it does have a great tool section.....

  • what's the difference between this and the Magnet? they have near identical specs...

  • I just bought the phone about 2 days ago and so far i love it.it has a tip calculator

  • I was looking on at&t's website and it says it has "cool tools" lol. does anyone know if it has a tip calulator?

  • This is the perfect phone for my son, when he uses his phone it is mostly for texting. This is nothing like my curve or iphone, but it only cost 100.00 bones! Besides, even if I got him a Blackberry Im not going to pay 30.00 a month for the BB service!

  • This isn't some super high tech phone because not for that kinda user. This is one of those phones you buy you kid that wants a Blackberry...well wants a key pad like a blackberry. Not everyone needs 3G equipped, wifi, do everything phone, hell most people don't need all that stuff its just fun to have. This is like the LG Lotus (LG600K i think) that I bought my lil brother because he wanted a qwerty keypad phone like my Curve. Things like these are just for people to stay in touch using a very unique feature known as "Calling" something most people that phones are capable of performing. I like this phone because these lil lower end phones always seem to last forever.

  • E71 the best !

  • kudos Mr Obvious - this is uber cheap phone -75 euro . c'mon people.

  • throw in a memry card slot it will be a gr8 text phone

  • Samsung makes a cheap (i think) phone for kids who will be the best :D Like - I got a phone with qwerty and two fingers in the air :D :D

  • hey guys no one can challenge nokia e71 its best its slim it has good for the blogs

  • !!! HELLO?? I've read so much negative bull S#$t about this phone but for its price and a full layout keyboard, bluetooth capability, and camera on a go phone. Grow up and don't be so quick to judge. its not the best for you but for some it is for that price.

  • handphone for babies

  • Have an originality Samsung. Be creative in your own way.

  • Samsung is a brand on its own WHY try to copy Blackberry styling?????????

  • this is not the microSD icon, you're in a mistake.

  • Dumb phone made for dumb american carrier, and in that regard, I think samsung have outdone themselves.

  • no OS? what a shame.... another qwerty phone with no OS. dumb.

  • difficult to handle on the hands of kids..!

  • I think they thought to copy MOTO Q9h

  • well you right that is a fantastic phone and its not for children under age of 18 as wekk hey you just got to hang in there maybe someone will give them the opportunity to have a nice deal

  • I think there is a mistake in the date of announcement. I think it was announced in May 2003 :P:P

  • are they serious?!?!

  • Considering the specs, its not for the big boys, but with the form factor it wont be a kiddie favorite. Why samsung, why?? Oh why... *down on my knees, hands on my face*.. whhhyy.....

  • I guess this could be one of those free phones.

  • well.....cyberbaze... regarding the card slot....i think there's none... cuz it's look like it's both for the headset connector and charging connector....

  • Looks good, but not as stylish as the Pantech Slate. VGA camera phone for 2009 .... please. Should at least went 1.3 MP. Nice keyboard. When you say low end,you really mean it.
