Samsung Galaxy S10e - User Reviews

  • S11 e battery reports of 3800 mah

  • The size is the main factor that attracts people so a90 is not direct comparison for majority of the people interested in small handsets

  • Note 8 has 3300 battery and 6.3 screen. For me it had similar battery life to s9 plus. My S10e has better battery life than my s9 plus and Note 8 - all exynos versions

  • I see there is an issue with size vs Battery life with this handset, according to the other comments at least. The s10e doesnt really need to be continued anymore, not with the introduction of the A90 5G. The A90 5G offers a much better 4500mah battery, a larger 6.7" FHD+ display, the same 855 chipset as the s10e whilst offering 5G connectivity to those who are in an area that will adopt it network early. On this basis alone the A90 5G 6.7", S10 6.1" and S10+ 6.4" is the overall better lineup in real terms of being the competitor to Apples iPhone 11-line up. The A90 5G beats the iPhone 11 in terms of cost alone.

  • Got a Note 8 but noticed too heavy after using a 5.9" phone Really liked S10e flat screen and size - but got turned off by the battery and heat issue Hope s11e is not inferior like s10e Keep it at 5.8 plz Or 5.99 with super thin bezels

  • I had the s10e for 2 week, and i had to return it, because was a disappointment. Pros- Very good form factor, and design. -UI is very good and intuitive to use. -The fingerprint/power button . Cons - Very low battery life for this size of the battery, has the same battery life as iphone XS with a 1000mah smaller capacity. -It's a hot device, when you use it without case , i feel it hot. -Fast charge is not so good, if i use it and charge it at the same time the battery percentage is almost not moving. -When i watch videos, if i hold it in my hands, there are a lot of vibrations from the speakers, just feels cheap. -The punch hole is good just for flexing, it's more noticeable than the water drop notch when i watch videos.

  • Yes, it is

  • One of the most important phone models in the market. Not a lot of 5" phones with OLED display which is an instant seller for me

  • Yep

  • double tap to wake is avaible for this model? thank you! :)

  • Yes agree to 😉

  • S10e brother anytime. Fingerprint reader is a major lookdown is S10. But S10e is compact & sexy

  • Hi yes, I'm in India. The update is out as of yesterday. Selfie gets a slow-mo with other feature updates.

  • Any full size curved tempered glass for S10e will work. The phone has option for higher touch sensitivity level.

  • Hi Have you got the October update yet? I still got only one update and I am still on September security update. Cheers

  • Spigen 9h on Amazon

  • This have SideFP Sensor so Tampered glass isnt a problem.

  • This has one of the brightest screens you can get

  • Can anyone with experience offer a recommendation for an effective tempered glass screen protector for this phone that just works without any problems? Thanks in advance for any advice

  • Cool story bruh~ Try again..

  • It's remarkably a strong device.. Like you buy a Ferrari without tyres or gas tank.. Good to look without actual use. Battery is very very mediocre.. Sometimes I need to charge it 3 times a day or keep it plugged while using. Second, if you prefer using polarized sunglasses (power) you really won't be able to read screen especially in direct sunlight.. I replaced it comfortably with A50 and got a relief

  • samsung s10e or s10 ? why ?

  • Not with the current anyone can unlock under the screen fingerprint issue the S10/+ and Note10 have, while this isnt on the S10e as it has a SideFP w/c is my favourite location and FLATPANEL Screen, not that dumb curved edge-edge one.

  • thanks dude i really appreciate it

  • Is it good to buy phone from amazon or any other shop that sells original phones or from some like verizon vodafone etc? Are phones from like verizon original or they fake?

  • 5 hour sot for cod from my estimates on max setting high brightness

  • I had the phone for 2 days now( the exynos version) so it didnt even adapt to my usage. Today i've gamed for 2h and used it on social media and yt for another 5h or so and at the end of the day i still had like 15%. Imo battery life is great.

  • This is way better than my old S8. Wow No heating problems, good battery and very fast.

  • Can I get a honest opinion on the battery life of this phone? I'm fairly a heavy user. I browse social media all day and occasionally play COD. Will this phone suffice?

  • Your unit has heating problem. And your camera too, or maybe you should clean your camera lens.

  • S10e surely.

  • Facing same issue poor battery life and camera pics are whites . Handset heats up while browsing,on calls, and while charging. Front camera is very poor. I have S8 and it's way batter.

  • S10e

  • From today i've officially joined the s10e family. Any tips & tricks to share regarding anything? Thank you!

  • s10e or a9 2018

  • I don't think the S10e is worth the upgrade from the S9, but if you really want to upgrade then id say go for it.

  • If you're dead set on upgrading, I would get the s10 5g or note 10. Personally, I would wait until the s11 is released. I had a s9+ and was pretty much given a s10e. I love my s10e, but I don't think I would've spent the 650 usd to upgrade yet. The s11 is supposed to be a pretty substantial change unlike the s10.

  • hello guys! I am using the Samsung Galaxy 9 at the moment. what do you think should I upgrade it to one of the Samsung galaxy S10 series such as S10e cz I liked it cz of it's comfortable design. thanks advance

  • Overheating? Stop telling lies My S10e is fine with everything.

  • An a50 is a budget phone for mid range A s10e is a flagship level phone so superior in every way except battery life probably better in a50 but not by much and it's a larger phone

  • poor batery life..... and overheating after 40min Skype call. Better buy another phone or if you are going for the S line buy the S10+ because S10 is basicly S10e with an extra camera.Trust me guys go for the S10+ or for a phone with a bigger battery

  • I had a 2 updates in like few days interval though. Other one was just a security patch tho. But ever since the last update I didn't had any issues during Whatsapp speaker calls.

  • I LIKE IT!!! want to buy this phone

  • tell me y

  • tell me then

  • S10e

  • S10e significantly better

  • I finally got the update.. Unfortunately issues with my phone are not fixed :( Maybe next month..

  • s 10e or a 50

  • It seems odd, but with time I've come to conclusion that enabling your location services (GPS) is actually beneficial for your battery life. My battery lasts significantly longer with my GPS turned on, which is rather unusual.

  • Earphones has nothing to do with codecs. If your app can play the audio codec, it will be heard.

  • I am saying that my s10e has better battery life than my s9 plus

  • Does S10e support AAC Bluetooth codec? I'm not asking if AAC option is in a codec selection menu on developer options, but if I can use my wireless earbuds using AAC codec

  • S9 plus stll got good battery life. I own it and s10+.

  • Better than my s9 plus

  • I also have S7 since its launch date, still has great battery.

  • Endurance rating 83h it cant be good... I have S7 3 years old, it lasts few hours :D

  • how is the battery life after a few months of use?

  • Its between the 845 and 855 in you level But the s11 and s12 eventually went they use amd which would probably shred this by a large margin They are now some games which require full gpu usage like pubg at max and fortnite just about run in exynos version Soon they will be a big improvement but it will last 2 years easily

  • With latest update How much powerful s10e exynos 9820 for daily use and gaming like pubg, COD etc. or can i able to use this phone for 2 years? With smooth performance? (Note:- I’m not comparing SD855vsExynos 9820 i now SD855 is better i want to now about exynos 9820 power)

  • Great news! Can't wait for my update. Cheers

  • I haven't noticed any of the issues since the update. So I guess it's resolved.

  • Can you please let me know if the issue has been resolved? I am still waiting for the update.. :(

  • One S10e user ordered an additional 4700 mah battery case from this web shop, perhaps this is the solution to this desperation and battery disaster. Moreover, this mob is not as thin as it is getting a bit thick, ha ha ha ...

  • iPhone 11 and s10e both use the same camera as they more expensive models just lack telephoto on both Both have wide and ultra wide

  • Iphone 11 camera is good but not great. S10e has better sharpness and colours

  • IPhone 11 night mode is still incredible better. S10e with gcam is good not ip11 level.

  • S10e camera hardware + Modded Google Cam software = who needs an iPhone 11?

  • No s10e camera are better 16 mp ultrawide 123+12 wide mp dual aperture vs 12mp ultra wide +12mp wide Both have same setup To be honest they are both on the same level just depends on the person

  • Best compact flagship and best all round phone but man the battery stanby is bad. When I use this phone the battery lasts but the moment you dont it drains!!

  • IPhone 11 camera is miles better. But I agree s10e is a much better phone. Cheaper and good value.

  • Did the last update on the S10e improve the battery life or is this mobile one a big smoker. Why they don't optimize this software at Samsung to keep the battery from being big shit.I don't understand ...

  • activate medium power saving it will really help

  • Turning Dolby atmos sorts that sound issue out With it on it uses both speakers on call which The bottom speaker harder to hear Without it it goes to top and much louder This is before update Not out yet

  • Does anyone having issue with the battery on s10e ? I found the battery on my s10e draining very fast...😥

  • This phone is the best. I love it.

  • S10e is better in every way even the iPhone 11 it only has CPU advantage but everything else Samsung rules

  • S10e difinitley. Better and bigger screen, smaller bezels, better camera (dual camera), better waterproofing, faster and more power efficient chipset (iPhone 8's A11 is 10nm and 2 years older than the S10e). With the S10e you also get more storage on a base model, SD slot, dual SIM option and a headphone jack, plus Wireless Power Share feature too. S10e is still a 2019 flagship, iPhone 8 is 2017 flagship, I know that the iOS supports their devices for 5 years, and Samsung supports for 3, so you get 3 years of software support on each, but in this case, hardware wise the S10e is miles ahead of the iPhone8...

  • Samsung galaxy S10e better than iPhone 8

  • s10e by miles

  • Galaxy S10e or iPhone 8 ?

  • Great news :) it looks like it's fixed

  • So far it seems to be good, I still need to make few more loudspeaker calls on whatsapp with actual background noise tho. Because the one I made was just outside without major noise, but I heard no complains on the call quality from the other side this time...

  • G970FXXU3ASIE (Sept-1-2019 patch) · A new Camera function has been added : Live focus, Live focus video, AR Doodle, Night, Super steady · Added new feature. - Link to Windows, Dynamic Lock screen, DeX for PC · Improved performance. - Video Editor

  • Please keep me updated. I am still waiting for the update

  • I got the update last night. I have the Exynos version of S10e, unlocked (since I don't have a contract, I just buy vouchers) and I always pay for my phones in cash (in my country this is the cheapeast way to do it, plus you get extra discount for using cash and for paying full price right away). I didn't had time to test it on whatsapp yet. I only had regular call on loudspeaker since the update, and so far it's good. But regular calls weren't really affected at a first place though, so time will tell.

  • Have you got the update for s10e yet? I am curious if they fixed the issue.. Unfortunately I am still waiting..

  • I use the S9 for my work (phone from my company) and the S9 was never affected by this issues at the first place. I received an answer from Samsung, if I still have issues after the next update, they will take my phone and try to fix first software, and then look into hardware if they find it necessary. They acknowledged the issue, but thing is that not many people use that feature often (or at all) so there is not too many complaints. They will fix it for sure, we can just hope it will be sooner than later.

  • No no I just read about it it probably out in some places now but mainly focusing on camera

  • Did you get it? What version? Did you experienced problems with noise cancellation during loudspeaker or video calls?

  • 1.2gb update

  • I just got September update on my s9 so s10e is not far away. Just for s9 it was only security update no improvement ls..

  • The xiomi is a midrange this year The oneplus is last years flagship The s10e this year flagship ergonomic Samsung has newer processor beats both and superior cameras and screen tec ,battery is smaller but to screen size ratio it give around same time probably get android updates more than others but Samsung are slow

  • September security update should be rolled out by the end of the month or beginning of October.. So technically soon.. But it might be not included if they didn't know about the issue. Next after that will be October security update. Main software update will be android 10 by the end of the year or beginning of 2020.. P. S. Anyone here with snapdragon versions to check if they are affected by noise cancellation issues?

  • Exynos version too. And yes, I checked the headphones - no difference, headphones are affected too. So, that is definitley a software issue. Also, do you maybe know when the next update will be rolled out? Thanks in advance my friend :)

  • What to take from these three phones, the Xiaomi Mi9t 308 euro Oneplus 6T 292 euro Samsung S10e 454 euro and why .....

  • They is another difference between the exynos and snapdragon Samsung exynos use they own and snapdragon use Sony But they is differences in photo and camera but they both on the same level just better at different times Exynos version drains more quickly and supports 8k 30 fps but locked

  • Is your version snapdragon or exynos? My one is exynos. I am just wondering if one or both versions are affected.. Cheers

  • Clean your lens.

  • Nope.

  • I'll test them today and I'll let you know if results are the same or not.

  • That really sucks :( Regular calls aren't affected nearly as much as whatsapp calls or video calls from my experience. Luckily, I can pull it off with just doing regular calls, but for calling someone in another country - that's really really bad.

  • Does anyone think that this phone's camera quality is lacking sharpness?

  • Hi Guys, I want to know if the charger of galaxy A50 is the same as galaxy S10e? Thank you all in advance

  • Hi Guys, I want to know if the charger of galaxy A50 is the same as galaxy S10e? Thank you all in advance

  • Here you are:

  • Just tested headphones.. Definitely headphones are affected. This confirms that it's software issue not hardware. If you can please check it in your case. Cheers

  • I had to go back to my old s9 because I work abroad and WhatsApp / messenger video calls are only way to contact my family. Usually I don't have headphones laying around :( Besides I think headphones are also affected but little bit less..

  • Please take screenshots from 6 to 7 h, that would be nice to see. Just because you worked with your cell phone in those 6 to 7 h, what activity is very important.

  • Yeah, that sucks. I realized that it'd probably be the best to use headphones for those phone calls, but it's a hassle to plug them in and if you're under shower it'll ruin your headphones... and then I had another realization, that it's not that smart to use headphones lol... Some people never use loudspeaker, but to others like us - it's extremley important feature. We can just hope that they do cover it up.

  • If they check other service centers they will find a very small percentage of reports and they will ignore it :( I hope they will fix it even by the same mistake that they broke it in the first place.. Unfortunately rolling back the software is not that easy and we need a third party software. If something goes wrong then we won't have problems with the loudspeaker.. We will have problem with bricked phone :(

  • I can't believe people is still complaining about battery life. My 4g signal is POOR and i still get 6:30- 7 hs + SOT. If you need screenshots to believe me, let me know

  • It's not always possible to roll back - depending upon update type.

  • Hey. The phone holds nicely. The camera set-up in lovely in good lighting condition. The battery holds up for 1 day & 9 hrs. with data connection, bluetooth headset, etc. 'ON' for about 14+ hours. Half an hour of video playback & about 2 hrs. of calling.

  • If you noticed this issue after software update, then roll back your firmware to previous one. It is very simple. No need to go to service center.

  • That's awesome! I actually went to Samsung center in my city, and they told me the same - "Factory reset" and I was like "I already did it, and I'm not the only person with this phone to have this issue, it started after the software update" and they told me that they would check with other centres if more people had notice this issue and make a report on it.

  • Try posting this in Samsung Members app also.

  • Wired headphone has interruption with connector pulled and the wired wobble feels while you walking/running. It is better with wireless headphone, it is less hassle, But without any body movements wired headphone is slightly better.

  • I asked GSMarena if they are able to check their devices and if they have a problem maybe write an article to escalate the problem.. I contacted Samsung support as well but they gave the answer "factory reset".. But when I told them I have it done they told me to contact my local service.. I asked them to let software engineers know about the problem because it had started after the update.. Lovely ladies promised me she would escalate it to the engineers.. So fingers crossed. It was live online chat so I hope that a supervisor checked transcription and it went somewhere..

  • True, not many people use loudspeaker for their calls often or have video calls at all. And they might not notice it at all because they blame the background noise for it, when in reality - noise cancellation should take care of that, but it kinda doesn't work... Also thank you for writing this here, if it wasn't for you I maybe wouldn't even figure it out myself.

  • Battery is OK. August update broke noise cancellation / mic sensitivity during loudspeaker / video calls

  • How is the phones after 7months? Did the update make it better or worse? How is the battery life holding? I'm about to buy this phone so i wanna know from long users. Thank you

  • Thank you for checking.. I am not alone so. The problem is that not many people noticed it and even less reported it. Samsung might not fix it with the next update if they are not aware of the problem.

  • Those who wants to get informed does not call this phone crap like you do. They don't call it Zamzung either. You are obviously trolling.

  • Logic implies that the more you use your phone, and the heavier apps or games you run - the less screen on time you'll have. Also, this phone wasn't ment to be either a router or portable power bank or a gaming phone. It's quite easy to take any phone, turn on WiFi hotspot, bluetooth, location, have few apps running in the background while you're playing PUBG or Fortnite on max brightness and then complain that battery life is bad, and call the phone crap... You are either asking for a reason to spit on this phone on purpose or you lack the intellingence to understand, which is quite sad in either case.

  • Then we definitley do have the same problem! I didn't notice anything wrong before, but latley in last few calls I did. Not that much on regular calls on loudspeaker, like the one I mentioned when I was under the shower, but whatsapp call on loudspeaker has been really difficult yesterday while I was driving in my car. My coworker was calling and he had hard time understanding what I was saying, because he was mailny hearing the car engine sound. Now that you mention I also notice that it started after the last update... It has something with noise cancellation, or mic or maybe both. I hope they fix that with next update...

  • Sir, I ask real questions not only for myself but for anyone who wants to get informed from the actual users of this or any cell phone. and it seems to me that you are working in Zamzunga for solid money ..... Hello and do not worry ....

  • Thank you so much for your reply. My case is when on WhatsApp or Messenger video call and water is running in the sink it's louder than my voice on the other side. Or someone is cutting grass outside and window is open that appears louder than my voice. Foot steps on wooden floor appear louder than my voice.. This sounds also become annoying on the other side as they go pitch high. It's not so annoying on regular loudspeaker call but also present. P. S. (edit) It wasn't like that before August update and I did factory reset after I noticed the problem but it didn't help I am looking forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you for taking the time to check it.

  • I solved my battery issue with this phone. Just clear the cache and reset your settings. Then redo your settings carefully. Dont use adaptive battery setting Charge your phone to 100% and not less to reset the battery Im now getting 4 - 5 hours SOT which is plenty

  • I was under shower during the call yesterday and she did hear sound of the shower as well as my voice. I guess that's not the mic problem but noise cancellation. I cannot be 100% on what you mean exactly, so I would appreciate more detailed description if you mean on background noise or something else? Because it's not the first time I expereinced something like that during call on loudspeaker so I wonder if you experienced the same thing?

  • Yeah I see that there are people who understand, I mean this phone is what it is. It's not meant for everyone (like people who want a big screen). But if you want a compact flagship for less money - there you go. It loads big documents and heavier apps fast, camera is great and it's water resistant. I rarley use it for hardcore stuff tho, but when I do - it handles it really well, I do notice some battery drain, but it's nothing too dramatic and it still gets trough the day. Another perk is a good audio hahaha (AKG headphones + turn on the DolbyAtmos) :)

  • Yeah using the phone as a hotspot it will always have stress on it even in standby mode and I've used it on holiday the battery can last a out a day but about 30 % would go to hotspot buy it's always hot the phone then

  • Only some apps get over 70% usage you will most noticable improvement in heavy applications But putting the brightness down you can get 12 hour video playback easy

  • You are astounding. You first came here weeks ago asking about using your phone as a router (which is really dumb idea considering actual router is cheaper than a phone, and you'll kill any phone's battery pretty fast that way). You also kept asking about signal coverage (like we know the situation where you live). You never had this phone yet you call it crap. You got loads of answers already, but still didn't buy anything and you keep asking silly questions. If you are a power user and want all the best - get your wallet out and get an S10+ or Note10+. And don't tell people how to use their phone just so they can answer your questions, and then you'll simply ask more LOL...

  • Has anyone problem with the mic during loudspeaker calls? Video calls? Over sensitive?

  • I don't play games but half of my SOT is WhatsApp video calls.. Everyone uses phone different way

  • How is the SOT with 70% CPU power limiter power saver option ?

  • Using YouTube and watching movies barely drains the battery and you can get height sot time like 1 hour YouTube uses 8% on about half brightness But playing games and other stuff 30 min of pubg at max uses 15 % It doesn't throttle the performance much until you reach 39c But using adaptive mode the gpu frequency stays at the lowest and just makes it all laggy. And overall that mode is worse than optimised you get 2 hrs less screen time But when you play fortnite the phone can reach 50c (battery)and would not throttle at high on 60fps It shows some stuff is optimised and some isn't But without a case it is uncomfortable Using the camera gets the device up to 50c also but has been improved in updates recently 3 -4 hours sot if using camera Average screen time is about 6 hours battery average temp around 33 39 when heavy use prolonged heavy use hovers around 40 45 drops fast at 100 % to 98 and then at 5% to 0 it is completely dead In other smartphones the battery would normally switch back on when you reach 0 but this it becomes completely flat Exynos model

  • I have also screenshots of 6h and 6.40 but that were odd days when I watched more movies ;)

  • YouTube, WhatsApp video calls, Internet browsing and Netflix. Mix of 70% WiFi and 30% LTE

  • You say 5.5 h what you were doing during that time ... watching You tube, Netflix, games, internet ... whether 4G is included, WIFI it is essential to determine the battery life.

  • 5-5.5h SOT exynos version. But last update broke the mic for me.. It's super sensitive now and the background noise is louder than the voice when using loudspeaker.. Anyone else experiences that?

  • 4 hours sot full use

  • Please .... Only those who have S10e answer me. Is the battery life improved after the last upgrade or is this cellphone a first-class Zamzung carp? The honest answer is how much battery life you have when looking at You tube, iptv, internet, mp4, so fiercely use it rather than keep your cellphone in your pocket and write that SoT then 6 hours actually write the actual battery life that would be fine.

  • Storage is not a compramise on S10e as you can just buy a SD Card upto 1TB if you want. iPhones on the otherhand...... nahhh....

  • iPhone 7 -s8 is old and nowhere near the s10e iPhone 8-s9 iPhone x-s10 iPhone 11- s11 This is how they compare

  • S10e > Pixel3 > IP7

  • I'phone7 may well get updates but they will be on a much older and now outdated phone with a relatively small storage. My preference would be s10e which is modern and powerful and has adequate storage with better screen, camera etc.

  • help me choose between pixel 3a, iphone 7 and galaxy s10e... iphone 7 for ios security(privacy) and still gonna get 4 major ios update... s10e for the compact design latest performance speed and nice specs. and pixel 3a for heraring so much about its good camera quality and day to day usability. (points to note.. i havent tried ios yet. but i prefer it for privacy... price is a factor for me when getting phones

  • Nobody noticed oversensitive mic when on loud speaker?

  • The iPhone 7 is generations behind this

  • Wrong comment section Different phone different android os

  • The s10e battery actually outperforms the normal s10 The display is still 1080p not much difference on a smaller screen higher gaming fps so better performance than the others the only sensor it doesn't have is heart rate and the the 2x camera the finger scanner is on side and faster than the standard onscreen one everything else is the same

  • Samsung s10e or One Plus 7? which one would you get?

  • Bcoz more screen, body, ratio more ppi density , GG6 , more RAM , more camera , more sensors, under display FPS , more battery capacity , so does it worth or meh ?????

  • S10e > S10 in performance

  • Actually, only difference is curved screen, resolution that imo does not play a big part for phones and there is not 3rd camera with 2x optical zoom. If someone wants to try android why waste 200 extra dollars when performance is the same.

  • I have a J6 that I use as a spare phone and just to play with Android. I have an iPhone 8 that I use as my main phone. When I play Spotify music on my J6 and I pause it, then turn my screen off and then back on again, the control panel for music on the lock screen disappears. Is this normal with Samsung phones, also with flagship S models?

  • Do not be confused, if you are happy using iPhone, it is better to stay with iPhone. If you wanna try Android, S10e is a good start.

  • Go for S10 not S10e .........

  • Wired headphones will always be better than wireless in term of quality of sound/music.

  • should i go for this or iphone 7.I mean i phone 7 will still get 4 major ios updates. whearas this may get only 2. and then the software security issues. although i prefer the s10e(it possibly has better cameras and more capable processor). and i dont know which one is more durable. can somebody suggest me which one to go for

  • Does anyone experience too sensitive mic? It occurs during WhatsApp or Messenger video calls. Background noise is louder than the voice..

  • I noticed 0 impact on battery life since last update. Still gets me through the day without an issue, and I use my phone for several hours every day. Mainly calls, social media, camera and emails, sometimes editing documents too. People complaining about battery this much are probs trolls.

  • What you meant to say with your reply, i did not understand or understand your message.

  • just another Samsung that got an upgrade on that part and a downgrade on that part, a change of that part...Oh Samsung...you really your stuff...

  • I guess this is the 1st time youre using smartphone.

  • Hi mate, I am affraid that you have bought a fake Samsung phone, Zamzung.

  • Is the battery life improved after the last upgrade or is this cellphone a first-class Zamzung carp? The honest answer is how much battery life you have when looking at You tube, iptv, internet, mp4, so fiercely use it rather than keep your cellphone in your pocket and write that SoT then 6 hours actually write the actual battery life that would be fine. Please .

  • I personally think that there is no audible differences between wired and wireless (audio quality wise). I can tell that since i'm using a headphone that can do both. I enjoy both modes, but since turning on bluetooth on both devices takes longer time to setup, i prefer the plug n go of the wired mode. The 3.5mm port will always be a nice feature to have

  • Don't bother. That was high on something :-D

  • No me dont understand you

  • I am having an Exynos varient, but sound quality and volume via headphones are awesome.

  • For those who have this phone, especially the Snapdragon version: What's the wired headphone volume like?

  • Welcome to smart phone age.

  • Great phone poor battery life. My S10e loses 10% during stanby. Today I barely used my phone and already went from 100 - 88% in 7hrs

  • I will just leave a comment concerning battery and charging as my impression after a week of use. As battery seems quite "small" for many of the users, I have noticed the phone being able to get me through the day and having some 50-60% left. That being said, I am not a heavy user, so I do not doubt the phone would easily get me through with 20-30% left If I were one. I noticed the phone getting really hot when charging and after I downloaded and began installing the august update, the phone got uncomfortably hot. Too hot to hold. In the beginning I was bit scared, but I noticed the phone not getting hot anymore when charging nor when downloading small updates. I guess the beginning phase was due to the software having learned how to optimize itself and getting accustomed to the user's usage pattern. I can simply say that I am more than amazed by the phone and I basically see no downside. I do have to say the phone is overall bit more expensive, but when taking the specs and the performance into consideration, price is definitely more than adequate and reasonable.

  • Does the basics well coupled with s5e tab good devices battery ok in my book on s10e and s5e tab stop moaning reasonably priced in UK at moment better than spending a grand on an iPhone like the look of the Samsung a series also maybe get a tab or phone as backup might drop more yet offers !

  • i was wrong...s10e i m sorry , you don t have bad battery life due to your specs...you push me trouh day with about 10-20% left with about over 4h ,4,5h of sot. that is after july update.. (bixby off, dark mode on etc battery managment..)i would wish if samsung's be a 1-2 mm thicker but with a superb battery life of make a 2nm exynos 12000chip which doesnt consume energy...i mean they got it wright with displays and one ui whats the problem in battery department????

  • S10E is the most underrated mobile... This is the size what a phone should be... Very much capable in terms of performance and photography. It reminds me of Galaxy Alpha... symmetrical design.

  • After 3 months and some useful and much required updates I can confidently say that this is the best compact device out there. Was really disappointed with the performance and battery life when I bought the device. But now after few updats the performance is flawless and battery life had improved drastically. I am talking about Exynos version. I can just imagine how the SD855 performance would be..... No heating issue. No battery issue No performance issue. Just a great, compact and awesome performer for me.

  • Absolutely agree (wrote about that here back in June I think), got mine (Exynos) in late April. Prior to that ever since SII every Galaxy S I've had was rooted. This one I didn't touch, just did all the basic battery saving steps. Not a gamer but a heavy user on data, not on Wi-Fi. With heavy use still gives 6+ hrs. screen time, sometimes more. With above average use I've seen 10+ hrs. of screen time. Pretty much every post I've seen here by people who have actually used (not heard or read) the phone give similar experiences. Yes, 2-3 years down the line when the battery ages performance will drop, as every battery on any phone does, but here and now battery life is much better than all the talk suggests.

  • This phone is the best Samsung ever made flat screen is back again and the size screen 👍👍 specs and performance excellent what can I say the best. thank you Samsung

  • Hurt my brain to read this much bad English.

  • Well, I changed my galaxy note 8 for this phone and i have to say that was the BEST decision i 've made this year. I was afraid because I'm from Argentina and here comes with the exynos version, which i 've seen in reviews battery is very poor and the signal is low ( in argentina we have a TERRIBLE issue with it) . And guess what, i'm having an average 7 hours of screen on time using Instagram, YouTube, snapchat, the browser and taking photos . As you realized, i don't play games at all. I used to have 5:30,6hours sot on note 8 with the same usage. So, If you were afraid about the battery life, GO for it. It's not as bad as everybody says. PD: hope you understand my english, i didn't use translator at all because i want to improve. If my post is not clear, let me now. Greetings.

  • S10e is good fone .. 1 issu on the phone is battery.. moderate using as like you tube run only wifi 2 hour's a day and web browser wifi use1.5 hour's and musick 2 hour's and google map use in 4g mobile data 2 hour's par day and camera use 30 min par day and bitterness is 35%etc ..100% from morning 9am and used full day before 7pm thats means 100% in 9am and using phone and 15% have in 7pm if using all app on top writing in this page.... but if u play game than not run for hole day.. if u r using all app on top my writing.... I used s10e 2month.. that is my true review.. at present I sujjest all of mobile user if like Samsung flag ship phone than go for Samsung galaxy note9.. at present note 9 price is low and bellow the s10e.. s10e 580$ and now note 9 530$.. compare s10e and note 9. 1--S10e dynamic amoled and note9 super amoled.. s10e winner.for display.. 2-- HDR10+ s10e and note 9 HDR 10.. s10e winner.. 3-- full display no notch and no bumpers s10e note 9 have up and down little bumper ..s10e winner.. 4-- letest prossesor s10e and note 9 older. S10e winner.. Note 9 benefits 1-- note 9 have a ultra HD support as like blue ray 1480×2280 pixel but s10e support 1080×2160 pixel..winner note9 2-- iris scanner have note 9 this is more secure face unlock software.. s10e have not this facility.. note 9 winner.. 3-- have a big battery note 9 have used and 7 hours run non stop heavy game.. moderate use 1.5 day easily.. winner note 9 4-- note 9 have a pen.. this pen is really good and camera picture captured with out screen touch.. all micro soft office work done easyly and write easyly.. picture and video editing easyly done from this pen without hassles.. hand write use this phone.. more work done by note 9 pen.. So winner is note 9 5-- network connection is more good from other all of flag ship company phone.. Samsung company provide best networks connects in note series.. but this services start from note 8.. before note 8 series have a lot of problem.. after note 8 series samsung provide everything and total package in this phone this is note series.. at present note 10 is lunch.. note 10 is best and no1 all of mobile thinks as like mobile hardware and software.. note 10 update from 4 thinks 1-- display note 10 is dynamic note note9 super amoled..note 10 have a 120 to 90 Hz touch response.. note 9 have a 60 to 72 Hz.. 2-- update prossesor note 10 3-- full view display and display dots camera front and under display fingerprints.. 4-- note 10 have a ufs 3.0 ...ufs means memory read and respond .. note 9 have 2.1.. Iardwere write every think note series... So I think note 10 is expensive phone at present But note 9 is chipest from note 10 and s10e.. note 9 hardware is one of the best hardware for that time and that segment.. S10e also ufs 2.1 and display 70 to 81 hz touch response.. note 9 also same segment between s10e.. I sujjest mobile user who like game and all important app user and camera picture and others mobile facility and also mobile bugget for buying than should go note 9.. people say note 9 hardware old and old fashion look and not full view display etc that is not for issu.. if any one like mobile use properly than go note 9 in low cost at present and if any one like new mode not issu for money and performance than go s10e or note 10 etc.. Last issu is some one talk to me if note 9 is brought than how many years using properly and take android update officials and help from samsung developer.. than I talk to him next 3 years easyly use note 9 and take update next 2 as like note 9 have launched android Oreo.. next android pie already updated next more 2 android update will must arrive.. as like android 10 and android 11.. if after next 3 years android update officials take update that is luck.. note series special series for Samsung.. Compare to note 9 and s10e than winner is note 9 .. this is my oppinon and I was writing in this top why is note 9 is best at present time.. At present most of other brands as like one plus 1 and oppo and mi flagship and Huawei and vivo etc All of brands use super amoled display .. at present note 9 have a high configure accept hardware and looks.. 945 prossesor is good prossesor just different speed from 955 prossesor Only 18% slow speed 945 model prossesor.. this is not much more gaming and moderate using.. if 35% to 45% more speed have a new prossesor from 945 model than that is will good.. Next 4 years later prossesor will update and 50 to 60% more speed from 945 series..in future every years mobile phone will get update Please read this and don't take negative impact from my writing .. now I m using note 9 and s10e and one plus 7 and redmi k20 pro..2 month using hardly every day that models and every detail I saw thos phones.. total satisfied from note9 and stylish is one plus 7 and redmi k20 pro.. but performance is good but have a some issu from one plus 7 or K20 pro.. as like k20 pro issu is network and hitting and durability.. one plus issu is also hitting and battery drain and display brightness out side and similar looks from other brands.. My old phone is note 5 and s6 edge and one plus 3t and mi 5.. One plus 3t support from android update faster and s6 edge also support update os but after nogut android 7 update is last and one plus 3t Oreo android 8.0 is last.. From 2015 I was brought s6 edge and steel now run good.. battry support 3.4 hour's hard use and non stop.. One plus 3t use hardly non stop 2.5 hour's.. Samsung galaxy all of flagship mobile phone have a great quality provide that's why I like Samsung flag ship phone.. At present time 70% mobile user like update mobile models in varrient brands but they don't know other brands don't provide 100% mobile hardware and durability.. if cost is chip in latest mobile than u must be think something is low this phone.. good bye everyone..

  • Please give anybody from Croatia or that part of Europe any upgrades so far and how successfully they solved some of the problems especially with the battery and night shooting. Thanks and greetings.

  • How is battery life? I have Exynos version and its not that great

  • Concerning battery life, how does it perform while gaming? I already know it has SD 855, which is good, and a 3100mAh battery. And please don't get mad and all. It's just a question. I am not complaining. Thanks.

  • My overall experience with this for 2 months is 10/10. The best compact smartphone ever made to date.

  • Only times it got somewhat heated were: Initial SmartSwitch data transfer Software updates That's normal for any phone

  • thank you brother for your share

  • Anyone here experience heating when using the phone?

  • Here you go:

  • if you don’t mind can you give me one picture. open camera and slide night mode option then give me screenshot .

  • Yes, since June. It's been out since June for most regions, but for a few region it was only available for them this August update.

  • Do you have dedicated night mode(s10e) in your camera such as s10 and s10+.

  • I second that...

  • Just go through the P30 pro forum on gsmarena & you'll do a massive favor to yourself.

  • S10E by a long shot.

  • S10e

  • The s10e or the huawei p30 ?

  • I already had it since June. There are only 2 possible reasons, one, you are using a modified/unofficial Android version on your device, so OTA is not available. Two, the update is still not available in your service provider and/or region.

  • It is very true. S10e also has much higher fps (frames per second) than S10 and S10+.

  • Why s10e don’t get camera night mode option. Any one know the answer plz let me know which reason. is it for telephoto lens or other reason. S10 and s10+ get the night mode option.

  • I use Blackberry keyboard on this phone and sometimes gboard for jawi font. I've no problem using this phone and enjoy using it. Battery life is very good. I don't have to bring my charger to the office after I use this phone last 3 months.

  • I've heard this s10e model does better than the normal s10 in battery life

  • Ever heard of GBoard?

  • It's not true. It all comes down to the user's preferences, settings and knowledge. But gaming obviously will drain the battery more. Go back a few pages, I posted a screenshot of my usage and screen-on time of ~7hrs

  • What color should I choose?

  • So this is how you address me, every forum should primarily serve the well-being of existing and new owners of any cell phone. for the money invested. Personally, i prefer no brand but quality for the money. The biggest problem with Samsung 10 is the battery, ie desperate optimization of batteries vs software, here in the new updates they should have already done. Since 2005, I have had these Samsung D600, Omnia i900 (Windows), Pixon M8800, Galaxy SIII and these last three cell phones still work. So mostly Samsung and for my hunting i want quality, not superficiality with the battery. Great ...

  • +100

  • The usb cable should also be of good quality. Do not use those cheap cables your charger output will be bottlenecked by a cheap cable.

  • So you don't even have a phone and you decided that the battery is bad? It depends what you consider bad. No, it won't have Note10+ battery life. Does it last me through the day? - yeah, I have around 3-4hrs screen on time and I charge my phone in the morning and I have around 50% of battery in the evening. Interenet won't spend a lot, video camera shouldn't either, but YouTube and IPTV will suck your battery bit faster, no matter which phone you use. I use mine for calls, social media, editing PowerPoint presentations and Excel tables, taking pics, sending emails and sharing files. And it does that job pretty good...

  • Look, I have this phone, I use this phone, I already rewiewed it as a good device. Guys on your forums are usually power users. Any phone has a bad battery if you're gaming a lot, keep brightness on max all the time and aren't closing recently used apps, or turn off Bluetooth, GPS, and another stuff. Use some logic... And you can't expect Note10+ battery life at this price range. This is budget version of a flagship, it has same CPU and GPU as the S10 and S10+ and same selfie camera and main cameras (except lacking telephoto) and also IP68. Which itself is hard to find at this price range. Now, if you want a perfect phone - then reach deeper into your pocket and get S10+ or Note10+. Simple as that. And if you want to use a phone as a WiFi router... isn't it cheaper to just buy a router? You know it'll take a toll on your battery, right? Plus, people can't know how good is your 4G coverage where you live, you could be living in capital of Croatia or as far as I know on some far island or up in the mountains. I'm also amazed how long you've been comenting here and how many questions you asked and you still didn't decide to buy or not to buy the phone...

  • Also disable haptic feedback in your settings.

  • Disable auto-correct in your settings. I've done that on my s8 and now it's much easier to type.

  • This one is so ridiculous. Not even single person has weird problem with that keyboard mechanism. Yes, it's just you

  • To be honest you're the first person I'm seeing complaining about Samsung keyboard in a very long time, please kindly stick to your iPhone, if there's something wrong with the s10e, it's definitely not the keyboard

  • Yes I'm using a fast charge cable type C that says support upto 40 watts

  • I got this phone a week ago ( T-Mobile version) on top of my iPhone Max. Here we go again with Android software! - ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO TYPE TEXT ON THIS PHONE (Horrible vibration feedback and/or lag). And don’t ask me to go to “Swift Keyboard” , because autocorrection on Swift Keyboard is even worse than on Samsung’s keyboard! -To make things worse horrible narrow keys on Samsung’s keyboard. -NO MAJOR TYPING ISSUES SINCE the galaxy S6 series came up and now here we go again back to 2014!

  • Seems a defective device - my s10e is performing fine.

  • Just be sure you are using a charger not higher than 9v, preferably just 5v or something that is smart charger (can auto detect to use 5-9v). Cable-wise, just use a good cable that has at least 2.1A.

  • Guy's is there any issue with the battery if I use different adapter not the bundle on my S10e and different cable as well.

  • Better Go for S10e

  • Same thing with the s9 but after the android 9 update the battery life probably had a 40% increase The issue there was the schedules using to much power and in the wrong timings

  • I have the S10e and it gets trough day regulary with moderate use... Close apps you don't currently use, don't keep your screen brightness on max and you're golden. I'm in Croatia too, and this is currently one of best deals here. Get the S10e and I guarantee that you won't regret it my friend.

  • They are noobs. Most likely, there are multiple unnecessary apps running in the background.

  • Which is not a bad battery or cell phone, how long is the battery of active cell phone use in 24 hours. I read in all the forums around the world that all the S10 series is bad with the battery. Samsung sucking .....

  • Get the Snapdragon Version and not the Exynos.

  • It's not.

  • I can't believe that someone here trolls and spits on the S10e or is it really so bad that its battery is so bad. If it is really that way then it seriously discourages me from buying and I like my mobile phone very much else. Please the right owners to announce how much battery life lasts a day when you are actively using You tube, player, camera, internet, real time. I do not count games here because they do not interest me. Thanks and greetings from Croatia.

  • Pixel 3a is mid range phone, this is a flagship, feel free to go for 3A but you don't know what you'll be missing then...

  • Yeah, you bought A50 after Note8 and then dashed out even more cash for Huawei flagship... you've also tried S10 series, and you owned ton of Samsung flagships before, seems legit LMAO

  • I have the same phone and I never had any of issues you said here

  • Geez ill go pixel 3a

  • This or pixel 3a???

  • Battery issues 3 hour screen on time average Max 5 hours everything off light use only wifi Less than 2 hours using camera This is in 18 hours standby time They is no junk on phone Need to sort this issue out older Samsung phones were not like this

  • Can someone please help me choose between Galaxy S10e and S9 Plus? I know S10e is newer and has better camera, but I love S9 Plus' curved display and I think they're not that different. They both cost the same in my country and I need a phone that will last me at least 3 years.

  • wifi still unstable and week

  • Nope. I've tested the S10e, S10 and S10+. Not worth for me.

  • Almost. I was disapointed by all the phones I've used. But I wanted to give them a chance, then another chance, then another one. I've got angry and decided to go with Huawei.

  • I think I can understand you. You are disappointed with Samsung after using Galaxy A50. You used to use S series and Note8 long time ago. Oh well.....(speechless)

  • Switch to S10 series, I'm very sure your "best for me" will change back to Samsung because you were comparing your Huawei to generations older phones.

  • It varies from country to country and from network to network. It also varies depending on urgency and also depend on the chipset. For example, the dedicated night shot for US has only been available on this August's update, while I had my mine available since the June update here in the Philippines.

  • I ask only for S10e users how many upgrades have been made since it was released and what are the improvements from these upgrades. What is the current state of battery life for you if you use eg. You tube, IPTV, internet, video camera ..... I get the impression that there is a problem with software and hardware optimization and that is why this battery lasts for a short time, I wonder Samsung can't solve it or it might not. Greetings from Croatia...

  • I'm not comparing budget phone with a flagship. I said that I USED that phones LMAO

  • Have you realised that you are comparing a flagship budget phone to a flagship? Just like the iPhone XR is a budget version of the iPhone XS, the S10E is the budget version of the S10. In the budget version, Samsung has decided to make the camera lose a few features from the main phone to make it cheaper (it's a flagship budget remember). Also bear in mind the P30 main selling point is its camera, the S10E's is its screen design, the hole punch.

  • Why would anyone in their right mind buy A50 after Note8??? Especially since Note8 is still a better phone than A50... And then dish out another slab of cash for Huawei next to perfectly good A50 LMAO...

  • You do realize that google will help you finds your device if it is lost, or mark your calendar for holidays, or have your private photos kept save in the cloud, don't you?

  • New update released here in the Philippines just now.

  • It's not the first time I hear this...

  • They're best for me. And i was a Samsung user. I used S6 Edge +, S5, S4, S2, Note 8, and A50, and they dissapointed me. I moved to Huawei and I was surprised by their quality.

  • Your ignorance shine brightly. P30 and P30 Pro has the same main camera. Both loses even to S10E in most camera shots when without zoom. And both shoots pitiful videos even when compared to S10E.

  • Unfortunatley, I did, and P30 Pro's video quality is laughable for the "king of camera". Seriously, at that price point it's just shameful to have so poor video performance. Huawei is far from being "The best phone ever" as you said, not most rugged, not the best camera, not the best perfomance, not the best screen... Huawei isn't bad, but they're far from the best!

  • Low Light Camera is great and good and even ultra wide shot take excellent for this S10e

  • Then it's OK if it's P30, not P30 Pro. S10e IS better then P30, but better the Pro model. LOL

  • I can understand what your feeling is. What I cannot understand is that why you waste your money to buy this S10e if you are still happy with your old phone.

  • We forgive your ignorance of the fact that you're statement is the other way around, not as what you said. The fact is that Huawei takes better picture is because it takes longer to shoot. Yet it still falls behind against the S10 in overall quality. The only time Huawei takes better picture is with using the zoom. As for video? Forget it, Huawei falls far behind S10e.

  • You ignorant. Samsung is a Korean company. He is talking about Huawei P30 vs Samsung Galaxy S10e. Don't bring up iPhone.

  • You Americans. You all think you are the only world. Remain with your super expensive and slow non-quality iPhones! LOL

  • It takes longer cause of the AI. It makes the picture a loooooooot better.

  • I am OK, but are YOU? Did you even seen it in real life and test it's camera and the other things? LOL

  • Very interesting comments and observations and there is no reason to doubt you. Are you able to please tell us what your previous phone was and what features are missing/changed that have upset you so much and why you find it difficult to operate. Whatever you say will probably apply equally to the entire s10 range and probably also to most newer phones currently being released. I for one would be very interested in your expanded report as it is my intention to buy either the s10 or s10e in a couple of months. If you had a different choice what would be looking at now.

  • You are obviously not meant to use a smartphone. All your negative comments about S10e are also present in other phones. And handsfree while you drive? It's been around for over a decade, get yourself a handsfree earphones. You can even use the phone as speaker phone by itself if you do not want to use earphones.

  • You didn't really say any real reason why this phone is bad. It doesn't recognize some bluetooth devices you say. If your phone is faulty, I guess they'd replace it or repair it. But if it isn't - then same as your old phone, maybe those old devices are obsolete? Lots of people here, including myself are extremley satisfied with this phone, therefore I doubt it that it's waste of money...

  • How's the lowlight camera performance on this phone??

  • Then you're not belong here. Better go to Huawei page to your Bes Phone of the World and Ban by US Government. LOL

  • Waste of Money? Then don't buy it.

  • I found this comment difficult to read. I tried to understand as much as I could. I used my S10e to connect with my TV and soundbar via bluetooth... I even use SmartThings app to control my Samsung oven... because even Samsung ovens now have WiFi connectivity. Bottom line is that so far this phone has done everything it was supposed to do, and it did it flawlessly. If your bluetooth doesn't work properly then you should probably claim your warranty. And you are expressing great turmoil because of it here, and I cannot see why exactly except maybe because of bluetooth...

  • I am sorry, but it has been my experience that honest negative reviews are usually not allowed by review sites. Still going to give it a shot. I hate my new Galaxy s10e. It is not nearly as good a phone as my now obsolete phone was (old phone doesn't work with new and supposedly improved networks - Sprint changed everything so my old phone would not work anymore - so I got a different carrier - tired of the BS from Sprint). I have spent hours on the new Galaxy s10e phone but only mainly with the new carrier phone company technical support and still am going to have to take it back and get a different one. I will not mention the new carriers name since they have yet to do anything wrong and have not lied to me like Sprint and AT&T have. First of all, the Samsung Galaxy s10e is more difficult to use than my old phone. Why everyone thinks new and more difficult is "improved" is beyond me. I just want a phone to work right. This one will not pare up in my car or recognize any of my other blue tooth devices. It is difficult (maybe impossible) to set custom ring tones for each caller (was an easy way to block out time wasted answering most spam robo calls on my old phone). What is so great about this Galaxy s10e phone? I have yet to figure it out? Unfortunately, now the modern trend is to obsolete everything so you have to buy a new one every year or so. This phone is not any better for what I use a phone for (to call, get messages, and even text once in a while ). Just the basics and I would like to use hands free in my late model car so I can be more safe driving??? Is that really too much to ask? REALLY? All these stupid apps and other Google controlled stuff loaded on the phone my be cool to little kids, but in the end why have a phone if it never works right and the never ending solution from people is "you need a new phone?" I hate the fact that the phone is linked to Google and almost impossible not to be under the Google "control". Don't people realize they are being controlled and their internet searches etc. are decided by google and not by you? I don't need to play video games on my phone or be part of the never ending modern trend of everyone trying to sell me something else (does anyone do anything any more besides trying to up sell)? I am old school and would rather spend my money on something else besides paying more for the same features and services I use to have. How can people be this dumb? Depresses me that the United States is being dumbed down by overseas technology. From my point of view, the Galaxy s10e - What a waste of time and money. New phone, more money, losing previous features I actually used, harder to use in general.

  • Huawei P30/Pro only has optical zoom. Without it, S10E wins in all camera performance and it takes more natural colors. And the P30/Pro reviews never mentioned how ridiculously looooong it takes low light picture. Only one reviewer mentioned this and compared it vs Google Pixel 3 and S10. And by the way there already exists working Google Pixel 3 camera ported to S10 series both for SD and Exynos.

  • S10e because: IP68 Way better video quality Better selfie camera DeX (which I just tried out and it works like charm with PC) Small form factor (you can actually use it with only one hand) Awesome audio quality, especially with AKG headphones and Dolby Atmos turned on

  • It has zoom option in camera and that's about it. S10e is a flagship too. S10e will hold a battery for 4 days if you aren't using it aswell. P30 has no IP68 or wirelless power share, and P30 Pro costs twice as much as S10e and S10e still has better video quality, a headphone jack and DeX support. And S10e's side mounted fingerprint scanner is still faster and more reliable than any of those under the display. As for Face ID - unfortunatley for Huawei, but Apple remains the king on that area... Huawei isn't even close. "Best phone in the world" - what are you talking about, are you OK? LOL

  • P30 or P30 Pro. Camera is the best one ever. It's a flagship. Very very fast facial recognition and under-screen fingerprint scanner. Little notch. Gorgeous display. Big battery (lasts even 4 days without charging and using it). Best phone in the world.

  • Works like charm for me. But I'm in Zagreb. Zagreb is known for good signal. Also it depends if you're on A1 or HT or at some network like Tele2. In Zagreb - they all have really fast 4G. But in other areas - it's best bet to ask your locals about network providers, so you know which one has best coverage in your area.

  • Usually it defends on your signal and location also network provider

  • Works fine for me.... With laptop as well as with other mobile.

  • Can any of you who have the S10e test the hotspot on it, so connect it to another cell phone, laptop or tablet. This interests me because the S10e would serve as a hotspot for other devices. Please. some update so far has improved battery life because obviously the S10e is a problem between software and hardware.

  • S10e or P30? And why?

  • Hello, I can confirm that 4G reception quality is very good (compared to my previous phone Galaxy A5 2016). Both Wi-Fi reception and hotspot strength are good as well. I tried placing the S10e in one corner of my house and then tried to connect the old phone that was in the other corner (distance was approximately 20 meters with 3 walls between devices) and I had better signal than from my Wi-Fi router that was half the distance than the S10e. But the biggest differences between those phones are Bluetooth strength (5.0 has insane range compared to 4.2) and Location (Galileo and that Chinese GPS clone which name I don't remember make a difference). I hope that answers your question. Ondrej.

  • It's good

  • I have the S10e, it has decent connectivity, but mine has this issue where it struggles to scan for weak wifi signals (1 to 2 bars) and connect. Once connected it's pretty good though. some context: my wifi is pretty crappy, my old phone also had trouble connecting to it but it wasnt as bad as this s10e. Or maybe I'm just expecting too much from this phone cuz it's my first flagship. Tl;dr : It works well if the wifi signal is strong.

  • Definitely blue

  • I use my hotspot all the time with my laptop and tv. I have unlimited data but towards the middle of the month it starts to lag. I originally wanted the note 10 but got the s10e instead. Still want the note but this phone is nice so far. I have had it for 3 months and no issues.

  • Ahh yes. I didn't mention it since I didn't use that feature so far. But I definiley plan on trying it out!

  • For me Prism Black

  • How is the s10e (exynos version) handles heavy gaming, or even day to day life using cause i've heard user before complaining about overheating issues. Has that been solved by Samsung? Ty

  • It depends on your location and the reception quality on that area. Try asking someone in you area.

  • Hello, I ask those who have S10e to answer me what the S10e is with 4G reception quality and WIFI and Hot spot, this is very important to me because I would use my mobile phone as a Hotspot for laptop and tablet. Please be honest and can you personally test this .Thank you and greetings from Croatia.

  • Definitely his using SD855.

  • After the last update it seems to have improved on exynos model running pubg at Max settings and does not use as much battery

  • Is there any one recieved the August Security Patch Update for the S10e?

  • You've forgot to mention something on S10e which is you can connect to a 1080p monitor using Samsung DeX Pad. Or Using HDMI to Type C Cable.

  • Exynos or Snapdragon? Nice review by the way 👌

  • So, getting this device for 450 Euros has been absolutley best deal for me, and this is my long term review: The phone is amazing, especially the camera. Wide angle lense came really handy during my vacation as I managed to capture some amazing shots of landscape and nature using the wide angle lense. Other than that, selfie camera is also just stunning. And at the end, the video quality - stable, clean and smooth, yet very crisp. The AKG headphones are amazing as we all know, but Dolby Atmos has pushed them to another level meaning the sound quality is incredible, definitley top notch. Screen is also of extremley good quality, not greatest on the market but it's still near the top. That's about it for audio/video. The phone itself is extremley easy to use, especially because of it's small form factor which is a heaven for one handed use. Fingerprint scanner is fast and reliable, you can also turn on fingerprint scanner gesture features so you can look up your notifications faster - I definitley reccomend to turn on that feature. Performance has been flawless. From social media and youtube to editing Power Point Presentations and Excel tables - this phone just deals with all of it with ease. No hicc-ups or lags. Also, so far the device has never been hot to touch from these tasks, it only heats up so slightly. Software wise, I like the look od OneUI. It does look kinda cartoony but I find it appealing. It's however really fast and fluid. I also appreciate the features like digital well being (your screen time, number of daily notifications and time spent on each app). Device maintenance also works pretty well and it's easy to use. Another feature I'm using a lot has been the Samsung Pass (using your fingerprint to enter the app - something Google will roll out just now, few year late after Samsung LOL). Updates have been stable and regular (installed one this morning). Additional perks: - flat screen, so it'll be easier for you to use tempered glass screen protector - headphone jack - IP68 water resistance, so you don't have to worry about moisture, rain and can generally be at ease If you like compact phones - I 100% reccomend this one!

  • With such usage your phone will last for years, which is indeed a good thing! I use mine for Whatsapp, Instagram and Snapchat mostly. I don't use Facebook or FB Messenger. Sometimes I'm watching Youtube videos or using the phone for internet banking. Aside from that I use it for emails or document editing while I'm at work. My average screen time is around 3h a day. I usually charge once a day, I plug it on charge when my battery hits around 40% and I charge till it reaches around 85% or around 90%.

  • I'm using prism white one, it just looks georgous to me.

  • If you are fan of Big Screen and infinity edge display and want some stylus pen go for Note 9. But If you don't need those and want a flat screen and descent compact to your hand then go for S10e.

  • The Best Color for S10e is Prism White. I'm using Prism White variant.

  • definitely , I chose the s10e because I needed a work trouser pocket friendly phone but one that still had semi good spec...with my light usage I can get 2 days out of the battery on standby with an average of 5hrs 30 mins screen time to a maximum 7 hours screen time. But I am a light user, no games, no facebook apps, no Instagram, mainly use the pre installed apps, don't all background data usage unless I have the app open....sounds boring I know but it's literally just a phone for me

  • I always love the black one for a phone. Generally speaking, I think I like the yellow one for S10e.

  • Size does matter. Do you like small screen or big screen? If it is for phone, I love small one. If it is for TV, I really love big one.

  • I would get the yellow one if thats available in your country. Because life is too short to not pick a color other than black or white

  • Hello, I ask those who have S10e to answer me honestly what the S10e is with 4G reception quality and WIFI and Hotspot quality, this is very important to me because I would use my cell phone for hotspot for laptop and tablet as well to personally test with your new one. Thanks and greetings from Croatia.

  • Which is better to purchase?s10e or note 9?

  • In my opinion, Prism Blue is best color.

  • What is the best colour for s10e

  • It's the game's fault, not your phone's.

  • Okay thanks so there's no issue to my S10e battery right?

  • That's very normal. I also played some graphic-heavy games and the battery drains is pretty much like yours

  • Normal but pubg is not optimised properly on the exynos 9820 The s10 battery life does seem to be poor all models of exynos so something needs to be fixed

  • Oh and I also I'm on HDR and ultra graphics settings on PUBG but using 50% brightness display.

  • Could anyone tell me if my S10e battery having issue or is it normal. Because I've played PUBG Mobile for 2 hours from 100% fully charge and goes down to 55% I'm using Exynos 9820 CPU and received the latest security patch update in July.

  • Is it a typo or not ???? it needs 1.25 min. 20% charge so it's not normal and has a fast charger of 15 W. my current Xiaomi Redmi note 4 is 1.5 years old with a 5W charger it charges 100% for approx. 2 h. If this is true the nin it is a disaster from a cell phone and I intend to buy it because of other qualities but the battery or software is a real tragedy or shit. Thanks and greetings from Croatia.

  • Change your charger cable, it may already be broken or it is low quality. Or check your charging option it may be charging at just normal speed. S10e charges 0-100% at only ~1hr & 30mins.

  • in my case similar usage but the battery lasts about a day and a half and from some 20% of the battery it takes 1h 25min to charge up to 100%

  • Just above the section on network specifications you can see the different versions of the handset, you can select individual versions which will tell you the specifications for each individual model

  • With gaming for an hour, watching YouTube videos an hour and other tasking it lasts maximum 12 hours. It takes 2.20 hours to fully charge it with a cable charging. If you are a hard mobile user this phone is not for you

  • Is this the exynos variant or the snapdragon.

  • And how much it heats up when used like that. Thanks.

  • Please give a truthful and realistic answer to how long your battery is using in 24: You tube, Iptv, camera recording, listening and watching the player and of course the internet. This is realistic for determining SoT and not other nonsense. Thank you.

  • NO radio in S10 series.

  • How much battery life you really need in a day when the screen is active, so looking at You tube, Iptv, radio, mp4 players, MP3 player, camera, internet. How it is on the S10e is what matters to me, not whether the screen is just on.

  • How's battery life?

  • You're not the only one, I'm also a Galaxy S10e user. And I don't have any problem with this device to its size is perfect in hand and performance is fast and fluid and great display.

  • This is the first phone that i buyed since S6 edge . Finaly a high end smaller device . I hope they continued with the e in the s series . I don t know that i am the only one , but s7 edge ,s8 and s9 are kinda big ,that is the point that i did not buy it .

  • I think its less complication.

  • You can remap the Bixby button to Google to access the Google Feed if that's what you are looking at. Go to settings > Advanced Features > Bixby Key and Select Google for Single Key press.

  • well, that's a downer. You sure?

  • You can't really tell and the s9 a d s10 is default on 1080 p where most people wont even know

  • S10 e cpu GPU and other is 10x faster in most ways than the budget a40

  • no

  • S10e is great value for money..

  • Can you change the bixby homepage with google homepage with news like on the other android phones?

  • Yeah, that's true.

  • I think it was adequate comparison. With s10e you have everything the best from Samsung (best cameras, screen, CPU/GPU, memory...) while A40 has so much inferior parts you would regret your purchase. If you have budget for s10e go for it. If you can't afford it, go for A50 not A40. A50 is much better for a little more money.

  • Then buy the S10e, it's "super" compact, the size of a iPhone 6S but with bigger screen. I'm experiencing great battery and I'm loving the camera.

  • Buy a Note8 or S9+ then

  • Thanks! I will buy S10e P.S.: My budget can reach almost a S10 5g. Almost. But I want one of these phones because i'm not a heavy user and I don't like giant phones, like Galaxy Note 10 + or even S10+. And I want to buy a phone w/o becoming poor.

  • Help me guys, I want a new phone with better battery (3100-4000 mah), good camera, not so big screen just about 6 in with 3.5mm jack. Price range would be $750 below, i'm not that rich though

  • Hello mate! If you ask that question seriously, which one between S10e and A40. Well, if your budget can reach the price of S10e, you should buy S10e. Otherwise, I think I will advice you to buy A50, not A40, because of its trendy fingerprint LOL

  • Just resolution all the technology is the Same

  • You know, you don't need to be that tough. I'm not that good at phones like you and others!

  • Probably because edge screen (curved screen)

  • You most likley have a faulty device. My S10e holds battery over a day easily. Get it fixed or replaced if this is true...

  • Maybe you have a battery issue you can go to any Samsung service centre to replace your battery of your S10e.

  • Ofcourse S10e

  • battery life on this p.o.s. is disaster 4h sot 6.30h removed from a charger i m switching back to apple i mean ip6 has better batterylife than this , so far i ve tried many smartphones and the best user experience that i got was on xr256 and ip8p 256 ultra strong battery on both of them and ultra hardcore performance..then i make stupid mistake like this one...

  • Fair enough :-)

  • I will buy Fiat 500, as I cannot pay the Ferrari tax.

  • Ferrari 812 or Fiat 500?

  • S10e or A40?

  • Thanks that makes more sense.

  • Ok thanks I thought so.

  • I used both S9+ and S10e and they are both great but S10e display is meant and is inferior to S10 display

  • He probably didn't meant this. The display is in any way (except bezels) inferior to S9s display cause S9 have 1440p resolution and 570ppi which means It is a lot sharper than S10e

  • That's something you can change in your Google settings.

  • When comparing with S9, this looks odd for me.. though its thinner than S9, I feel S9 is thinner than this!!!! May be because of 142mm v/s 147mm size difference?

  • Can someone please tell me if when you say hey google will the phone respond while screen is locked? Thanks.

  • It depends on preference. If you want compact water resistant phone without a notch - S10e. It has wireless powershare feature aswell. If you want better camera for photos - P30. Because when it comes to video quality - Samsung has the edge over Huawei. Also P30 if you want bigger screen. I had same dilemma and I opted for S10e that I'm using for a while now, and I'm more than happy with it.

  • Do you prefer bigger screen when you watch videos? Looks like that is the only criteria you need to be addressed. If not, then S10e is definitely the best all-around one out there.

  • Please give a concrete and honest answer only to those users who have purchased and use S10e. So my cell phone will be used mainly for watching You tube, Iptv, mp4, MP3, recording videos, I don't care about the photos. , Iptv and whether it gets very hot while doing so. Thanks.

  • P30

  • Honestly, I never try or have Huawei P30. Based on what I read the review and watch the video review, I think Huawei P30 has more value for the money.

  • Samsung S10e or huawei P30 ??

  • Thanks for your reply. I am surprised that the display of the s10e is sharper than s9+ since it has a lower resolution or could it be that your s9+ is not set to maximum resolution? This phone definitely appeals to me for many reasons but I was concerned that its display may be inferior to the s10 or even s9+.

  • compared to s9+, this is smaller, more handy and sharper display resolution, though it tends to get warm during heavy and prolonged pubg gaming. the battery life and camera shot is similar with s9+, i didnt note any major difference from the pictures taken both using the rear and front cameras. the only drawback i noticed recently is there is no update yet for VOLTE. it only has LTE only. means once am locked on LTE i wont be able to make or receive voice calls. this was the same issue with s9+ when it was newly released but I got OTA updates some months later which gave me the VOLTE (Voice Over LTE).

  • What I do not like in Asus Zenfone is its User Interface. It may be look similar with stock Android but it is just a look. The same with Samsung, it has no stock Android at all. So, personally, I think the UI of Samsung is more stable and clean because Samsung allows us to disable (and even uninstall) its own apps.

  • S9+ vs S10e: I do not talk about those phones technically, you can read the review here. Well, as you are not worried about the mAH, if the price is the same, I have no doubt to choose the new one. If the S9+ price has a big discount in your country, I will choose S9+. S9+ is still superb although it has less RAM and ROM. Buy Mi9 series if you are a fan of Xiaomi or you want to try a new value phone. And I think all phones can be used for three years and more hopefully LOL

  • More MP in your camera does not mean better quality image. Smaller battery - but also smaller AMOLED screen... it will last you a day for sure, even with bit heawier use (talking from experience since I own S10e). Again, motor camera is a nice gimmick that can backfire heawily, plus it makes it impossible to make your phone IP68 water resistant. My iPhone SE would still be alive if it had some waterproofing. Only good point is that Android is closer to stock Android so it is quite possible you will get an update sooner, but also not guaranteed. It is also debatable how much your regular consumer cares about updates. My sister for example finds them annoying, which is silly in my opinion. But I was shocked even more to find out that my GF avoids doing them as long as she can (she has that notification up there for months and keeps ignoring it).

  • Go for S10e for the Dynamic Amoled Display and great camera and night mode shot at night also compact in hand and in your palm support also Samsung DeX that you can connect to the monitor screen. Ultrawide and Mainacamera is great. And it has reverse powershare. and now you can get this one for only U$D450 price for brandnew in 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM variant.

  • One more: Samsung in exynos version, I want to use this phone for at least 3 years

  • Help me choose between mi9/ s9plus/ s10e and why. Ps: battery capacity is not my concern

  • The 6 has 48 MP as opposed to 12, 5000 MAh as opposed to 3100, and the flip camera makes it the only current phone with a 48 MP selfie camera if you are into that. It also has a clean top as opposed to a notch or hole. And it is also closer to stock, so it will be getting android Q sooner.

  • Well, the S10e is much better bet in my opinion. No worries about motor of your camera malfunctioning or breaking. You have much better camera in general. IP68 rating. Dynamic AMOLED display. It supports Dolby Atmos and is coming with AKG headphones. Reverse charging is a cool feature aswell... Unless you want bigger screen - go with S10e.

  • Please help me to choose between s10e and zenfone 6

  • I've been using this phone for 2 weeks now and this is my impression: Simple and smooth UI Extremley fast, incredible performance Awesome camera Fast and reliable fingerprint scanner with adittional gestures feature It has headphone jack, and you get awesome AKG headphones too You can put SD card or another SIM card No notch IP68 rating It is perfect size for one handed use Only compromises: Screen is not great, not terrible No optical zoom Hole on corner of your display (but it is still better than notch) Bottom line: I definitley do reccomend! Also, flat screen is much easier to protect with screen protector.

  • Finally a "FLAT SCREEN" Samsung Flagship phone.

  • It give the option for unlocked phones but after I choose unlocked it give me a choice of save a trip and choose which carrier to activate the phone with

  • Ok will do thx

  • When it tells you to pick a carrier, has it given you an unlocked option? I wouldn't know about ordering online in the US because I ordered a European version factory unlocked on Amazon. If the website you want to order this phone off does not have a factor unlocked version, amazon.com has a few different carrier unlocked US versions.

  • Turn adaptive battery saving off it makes a difference and i hope they sort battery problems in future updates

  • Hi I want to ask a question if you please I want to buy the 8 g ram "us version" unlocked of course to be able to use it in Africa and eruopean countries but 8n the site it keep ask me which carrier to activate the phone with I don't know about this activation process so if you can help I will be greatful Thanks is advance

  • Typing on my Galaxy S10e which is 11 days old at this point. My overall impression: it's amazing! Pros: - display - speed; lack of lag - cameras; all three - size - IP68 protection - value for money Meh: - battery. Lasts a day, what more could I want? Cons: - fp sensor position. Even on a phone this size it's too high. Definitely recommended.

  • Change your battery profile.

  • Yes, its available in couple of markets for Exynos model.

  • Also pubg lag makes game unplayable seems to not use the cpu and gpu correctly scheduler maybe hut the lag is the same if it's on hdr and on smooth which is a big difference Exynos model

  • GSM arena bench

  • On GSM its around the same

  • S10e battery life performance is average and good compare to P30.

  • Did anyone received already an update for July Patch Security for S10e?

  • Finaly a compact high end specs. I used S1 , s2 , s3 , s4 ,i9506 , s6 , s6 edge and finaly this one . I hated that they did not make more compact high end smartphone , but at least s10e is what i waited for all these years . I don t know if i am the only one , but i did not buy previos s-series because the size , s7 edge , s8 and s9 are to big . I don t care how much it cost , but i can t use a phone that big.

  • Galaxy S10e now this phone was got a promo in Sprint and AT&T. But it's only unlock in network band by carrier. You can get this now by U$D 240.

  • Switch to "optimized". "Adaptive" frequently changes automatically the power saving type.

  • S10e beats S10 and S10+ in gaming framerate by a wide margin.... +50% to +80%

  • I'm not sure about that, but s10 should be better if you compare the specs. The main reason I pick s10e is the smaller size, and I don't think I need the extra features offered by s10, not to mention it is slightly more expensive.

  • I've heard it does better than normal s10

  • Dont think so , romance languages Like spanish (mine) or french dont overobsessed on genre, I mean everything has a gender even objects but IT doesnt mean much

  • What about gaming a little and watching videos? All ok?

  • Plus the CPu ,even exinos is better than that kirin bs

  • I thought the adaptive battery was meant to improve battery life over time, please clarify

  • Bought this phone last month, and I'm very satisfied with it. Camera is good, screen is beautiful, you can even open two apps at the same time and do a split screen if the apps supported it. The short battery life is kind of true if you are a heavy user or play lots of games on your phone. For me, the phone's battery drop to 30-35% in a day, and I think I'm a moderate user. (bluetooth off, data on for 1-2 hour, wifi on, screen brigthness about 30%, vivid display off, bixby off, night mode on)

  • You wrote: not everyone like a curved display and a huge screen" I replied @Aksha because @Aksha want a bigger screen than S10e and "not curved" display. I assume that @ Aksha need a flagship and Samsung brand (if @Aksha do not like other brands). So, I suggest @Aksha a new A series of Samsung if @Aksha do not mind buying a mid-range phone. So far I know, there is no bigger display than S10e with "no curved" display.

  • I personally find the display amazing, but I never had the Galaxy S6, so I cannot say for sure. Just, my opinion is that the display is amazing, but do keep in mind that I used the iPhone SE as my previous phone, and also all my previous phones were Retina LCD displays with not so great resolution. But I cannot see individual pixels, if that is what bothers you.

  • Battery life was poor until I turned off the adaptive battery feature. :D Now, with my moderate use, it can last almost two days. Location and 4g always ON.

  • I get a day and a half out of single charge, but I am not using this phone heawily, I have phone from my company that I use more than my S10e.

  • More than OK, there's almost no sharpness or color difference with S10/S10+. More ppi doesn't mean it better, all the S10 series 'Dynamic Amoled' has more color gamut than previous sAmoled

  • can anyone tell me about the display quality of this phone 1080 x 2280 pixels is ok? even samsung s6 has 1440 x 2560 pixels.

  • Yes, you are wrong. Too many factor on this phone to show this is still a flagship apart from fragile curved screen. Same chipset, same IP rating, same camera sensor. Not every person love a powerhouse flagship phone with a curved design and a huge screen. That's why Samsung created this new S variant

  • Hey guys, how the battery life performance from this device, is it better than the p30? despite the size difference between the two.

  • I've been using the iPhone SE until recently. After my beloved iPhone SE met it's demise in cold water of nearby spring I went out to find a worthy replacement. So, iPhone XR costs about 850 Euros (or 950 USD) in my country and it's rather too big for my taste, and iPhone XS is just... insanley expensive! So, I caught S10e on some kind of promotion for just 460€ (or 510 USD) in cash. And I didn't hesitate to buy prism white one. I had it for about a week and I'm amazed! Amazing screen, really good camera (I love the wide angle lens), smooth and fluid performance, and best thing is - I can still use it with one hand. I also downloaded some cool wallpapers to hide that camera hole, but well, it's still better than a notch, and won't malfunction like motorized cameras. Good job Samsung!

  • traded in my iPhone x for this phone. haven't regretted it one bit.

  • Same size as the normal s9 but looks smaller because of the bezel les design

  • I think they gonna sort battery out in future upgrades Only the exynos models of all the s10s The s10e actually outperforms the normal s10 in battery

  • If you are not a fan of those brands, I think you can spend more money to buy Huawei P30 Pro. If you do not want to spend more money, I think the best buy is Samsung S10e. And buy Xiaomi only if you are a fan of Xiaomi and its very good cheap original phone accessories.

  • This S10e phone was made by Samsung to those people who want a small and compact size and handy.

  • These numbers mean nothing, you don't see any difference during normal usage.

  • No, it should NOT have 6 inch screen. That's why Samsung created it, because it's "compact" (by today's standards). I really hope they'll continue with "e" series later on.

  • Excellent device. I'm using SM-G970F version which is International Exynos with dualSIM and 128 GB of internal memory. It's a pocket rocket, I made a huge research and decided not to buy any gimmicky new Xiaomi device and buy something "calm" that doesn't scream "LOOK AT ME!". Compact size (it's smaller than Galaxy J5 2017!), very good performance and excellent camera, especially after recent updates. The only cons are battery life (it's not bad, the phone lasts up to 8-9hrs of SoT while using it constantly but standby sometimes likes to suck the battery) and front-facing camera washes out face pictures, especially on poor light conditions. Even though you turned off all beauty modes and you see that the face looks normal on the preview, the phone post-processes it later and you look like an idiot. But back camera is gorgeous and I love taking pics with it. Also, the phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack! I bought the phone for around $550 and it was the best decision ever.

  • S10e much better

  • S10e, P30 or Mi9SE?

  • If you do not mind to buy "not the flagship" phone, you can buy Samsung A series (i.e A50/A70/A80). Or you can buy others than Samsung phones. Correct me if I am wrong, the flagship Samsung and Huawei phones has a curved display.

  • 5.8inch is compact in the hand

  • i don't like curve screen that is why i told it should have it.

  • If you want bigger size, you may choose S10+ instead of S10e.

  • No. Choose S10 if you want bigger screen. There's a reason why companies make variants of the same line.

  • This phone should have at least 6 inch screen. now a days, people want bigger.

  • It also has a vibrate function if you have received message when you lift the phone. No need to check at the screen, just lift the phone.

  • Thx for that Always On idea. A good alternative to not having that notification LED.

  • I do have a gripe with the phone's lack of a notification light. You know, that blinking LED that tells you there are messages you haven't read yet. I have to check manually for messages regularly. The salesperson told me that's the way it is with these full-screen phones - there's no room for that LED, which sucks for obvious reasons. Everything else is great.

  • How does the display compare to your s9+. On paper it would appear that the s9+ should be superior but perhaps in real usage there is little difference. I am undecided between s10e and s10.

  • What games you play what settings

  • I got the S10e last 2 weeks after losing my s9+ bout two months ago. using this phone so far has been all joy. I didnt see the need for s10 or the s10 + cos they have the same specs 'performance wise. Yes I had to compromise and part with bigger screen and extra camera feature.. but I find the camera shots way better than my s9+ and my buying the s9+ initially was cos s9 was not really the upgraded performance i need. the s10e was built for me. powerful dynamo, superb sound and display and i only have to do one full charge to get me through the day. I havent done the usualy heavy gaming yet. so if you dont mind the one handed fit phone, s10e is just perfect with no regrets.

  • Battery optimization yielded lower scores because they lower the speed of your phone's processor, therefore lowering its performance. When you turned it off the scores increased because they run at full power.

  • Thank U for ur opinion....I have decided to go for s10e too..... today I visited an samsung exclusive store and got a live display of it.....and yeah it is more than good and camera is outstanding

  • In your case, personally I will choose the camera as the main priority because the display of S10e is more than good.

  • Question for S10e owners. Have you done Geekbench 4 testing on your device? First time when I did on mine, it was poor result (single core around 3000, multi score around 9000, render script around 6000). Then I turned off optimization of battery and managed single core 4447, multi core 10281, render script 9987. Does this numbers mean anything in real life using? On geekbench site, the second testing scores are pretty high, if not the top scores. I have Exynos, not SD. Can you share some of your results to compare? Thanks

  • Thanks a lot for your honest opinion.

  • Great summary thanks.

  • Thanks for ur opinion

  • At present I'm using Galaxy A8 Plus which has IP68 rating and S10e has IP68 but Oneplus 7 Pro doesn't have this rating.....But still my priority is Camera display and battery life....I have watched comparison video between these two OP7 pro has better display but s10e has better camera.....In terms of Battery life both will go same i think b'cos s10e has 1080p display but smaller battery and smaller screen size too and in case of OP7 pro battery is big and display size is big too and 90hz screen display will consume battery faster....Now I think I have to make a decision which will be my main priority display or camera screensize doesn't matter to me.....

  • In some ways Better processor Better displays dynamic amoled Newer more future updates Good design The bad lower screen resolution but smaller screen still sharp enough at 1080p better GPU performance No heart rate scanner Battery is smaller but device is smaller probably get around similar life You won't really need to upgrade to this cuz if your already using a s9

  • Well, In my opinion, I would compare OP7Pro with S10 (not S10e). But If you prefer S10e, this is fine. Well, I assume that both has a authentic warranty in your country so it depends on you, do you need IP rating (i.e. IP68)?

  • I have been using this phone for 2 months. I have never encountered anything negative about this phone apart from the fact that the fingerprint sensor is tailor-made for right handed guys only (i am left handed). I am a heavy gamer, and still the phone reaches almost 7-9 hours of gaming before reaching 10%. During non-gaming days, I can easily reach night-time with atleast 30% battery to spare. my version is Exynos, not SD855 by the way. Screen doesnt flicker and responds very well, especially that I use a different launcher (Smart Launcher). The camera is good, I even had good lightning shots during thunderstorms. Although as a previous Huawei P10 user, I think it wont match Huawei's photography lineup phones. Connectivity is fast, Screen visibility is good even in broad daylight. Charging time is fast (not as fast as 25W charging capable phones though). The colorway for all versions are superb. And lastly, the size is perfect for anyone's hands. I'm saying this as a Huawei-fan. I never knew I could find a Samsung phone that would pull me from the Huawei system. But here I am two months later. I hope you get my drift brotha. :)

  • And right away google copied it and released something called the google pixel 3a. google is worst smartphone maker ever, Samsung is the best. #Samsung4ever #TEAMsamsung #lovesamsung

  • Id say go for 7 pro. the best phone ive ever had! everything is great once your eye get used to 90hz screen u will see other phones freezing!

  • I want to buy a flagship phone for the first time and really confused between s10e and oneplus 7 pro....My preferences are camera, display and battery life....Pls suggest

  • Is it better than the S9 Plus??

  • Been 3 months since using S10e. Its great mobile as mentioned in review. Charging is quick and i get 1.5 days of average battery use. I recently broke the glass/cover covering rear camera, checked with Samsung service center, seems like entire back panel needs to be replaced rather than just the glass protecting rear camera.....any info if its the case??

  • I'm prefer with punch hole instead of pop up camera because pop up camera is easily to break.

  • Pop up camera will break a lot easier.

  • I wish this nice compact phone had pop up camera instead of the ugly hole.

  • From S7, if you're very particular about pixel size, you will only notice slight pixel presence when you use VR glasses. This is because S10e has lower resolution but bigger screen than S7. But other than that, it will not be noticeable on hand use.

  • How is S10e display compare to s7 or s6 edge ? This question is only for people who have allready buy this phone -

  • Maybe you maintain the charging time of it but me just and average for 1 day can last of my S10e exynos.

  • I can't agree with this. My S10e is the exynos variant and it easily lasts up to two days with semi heavy use. Music, browsing and some games.

  • Correct me if I am wrong. Yes, the newer phones, no matter what the brand is, always consume their battery more, especially of you compare them with your old (i.e very old) phone. That because they are still using the same battery with more mAH and, now, fast charging tech. In the same time, we've got more fun and useful features of phone, such as dual camera, more powerful chipset, etc.

  • s10e exynos poor battery life can't even outlast my old galaxy s5.

  • You do realise that they've pre-installed a screen protector right?

  • Are you on snapdragon or exynos? Because I'm not experiencing fast battery drain. Haven't experienced that ever since I got the phone. And I'm on exynos.

  • Nice phone, size is excellent. Very disappointed with the screen - lots of scratches in only 3 months.

  • Wifi improved but battery still drain fast

  • No difference. It noted wifi improvement. GCam Night Sight takes better night shots now, not sure if because of this last update or the previous one because I had the same app installation and did not reinstall. But it is noticeably much better than when I first used it in May, much lesser noise.

  • Need feedback of the latest updates. Exynos version

  • big bezel ? are you being serious ? I mean yes it has a bezel but it's far from big

  • i have the same phone ,but i dont have that issue

  • Let's check our own wallet if we cannot answer this question.

  • If you don't play 3D games and take most photos on sunny beaches, you'll be satisfied with A40.

  • And why not samsung a40?

  • Thank you for taking the time to reply.

  • Thanks should have realised that.

  • It's a very good phone, and the size is perfect for keeping it in your pocket.

  • and i don't like the big bezel of S10e...looks cheap.

  • Get S10...same compact size as S8 but with even bigger screen...

  • Yes there is even a speed toggle in the notification panel for blue light filter...that screen is the best.

  • FPS = Frames Per Second. The higher the FPS, the smoother the graphics/game displays on your screen.

  • What is fps?

  • I couldn't agree more. Finally I've got someone talk about the size instead of flat/curved display.

  • Would not call a smaller display size a bad thing, many people including me looking for a smaller phone and this is the perfect size in today`s world where all new phones are huge 156+ mm tall. If you want a bigger size there is the S10 and many more but if you want a "compact" phone there will only be this S10e (talking about new phones and not older ones like Sony Z5 compact etc).

  • Good phone, i dont have any problem with battery

  • You can turn off the blue light filter lmao. If you don't know how to, there's something called Google

  • Also better fps against S10 and S10+ by +50% to +80%

  • If it is not software-caused, then it is hardware. It might be specific hardware batch. So there is nothing you can really do except to restart your phone. But first, try apps that can monitor your usage. Heavy use on the processor, gpu or memory card would cause the heat. Anyway, based from my observation, S10e's outside metal rim does a pretty good job at absorbing heat compared to my previous phones that have have similar metal rim. So if the metal rim is hotter than the screen or the back of the phone then it means it is only releasing heat, but then the outside room temperature also affects the metal rim so it may be cooler than the glass screen since metal reacts to heat better.

  • The Best agaisnt S10 and S10+: -Lower Price -Besides the 12 MP for optical zoom the cameras are identical. -Although it has a physical fingerprint reader, this one is much faster and easy to find. -They both share the same core chipset (Snapdragon 855). -Flat screen. The Bad: -Smaller display size. -Smaller battery. -Some people may find unconfortable the position of the fingerprint reader (if you are left handed or have small hands).

  • Do not buy this phone. Basically everything is really good but the screen and colors are terrible.Specially in the low light the with turns to yellow is frustrating how horribles are the colors on this phone. Can't understand why Samsung force you to use the screen as al light blue filter is always on without the option to give the user the choice. And let me tell you the problen is not the amoled panel itself since iPhone and many other smarphones use amoled panels but the white and others colors are brilliant not filtered by this ugly yellowish always on mild blue filter.I don't know how to say but it give you the feeling of a damaged brownish yellowish old screen. Specially when you are close to other smarphones you feel the difference. Do not wais your money on the worst screen ever made thanks to Samsung stupid calibration.

  • Did you update the latest updates of the android?

  • I tried twice its the same ...

  • OK I'm quite open minded and also willing to listen. So can you please tell me what is wrong with this phone or what are its' major shortcomings and also what is better and any particular reason. Please I also want to know that I am not trying to ridicule you in any way. I am simply interested in your views. That's how we learn.

  • Thanks for your reply Maria and for me your English is fine so don't waste too much time on your teacher lol. Anyway regarding size I am currently using s8 so screen size should be the same. So when the time comes to change I will compare the s10e (same screen size as s8) and s10 (same dimensions as s8) and make a decision. Thanks again for your time and patience.

  • What I can say is that you have to restore factory to your phone, the problem has to be the exynos version.

  • It gets hot to hold in hand after 5 mins of normal usage (exynos). What should i do? The battery is about 35° cpu about 38°. My hands are burning...

  • I have same problem and no solution..im afraid that whole exynos series are same..

  • That's why there is Google and gsmarena.com. if you open your heart, you will find out there are many phones with flat screen better than this. So for me, at least, the flat screen is so ordinary, and it is the user preference only. I am not Samsung hater btw.

  • It is indeed 3,000 mAh on Exynos.

  • No point in posting under anonymous or another name. We see you, Maria. Just stop humiliating yourself. You can not name 1 single flat screen phone better than S10e because S10e IS THE BEST. You don't have to agree, we forgive your lack of comprehension.

  • 3000 or 3100, who will exactly account the difference?Thanks anyway :)

  • No battery is 3,100mAh

  • Hello @scorpio buy or not to buy this S10e? If this is the only one you prefer, think these basic things before you buy. These may make some people disappointed with S10e: - the screen size of S10e is small. So, if you used to use a bigger screen (e.g galaxy Note) and you love it, do not buy S10e. Just like watching TV 48" vs 32" LOL - the battery mAh is just 3000mAh. I cannot say too much about this topic. It depends on the user's daily use. - the fingerprint scanner (FPS). It is a normal FPS but you know, the under-screen FPS is so trendy. If you are okay with those basic things, S10e is fine. Or wait for the next galaxy S11? Sorry if my English is bad. I am waiting for my English teacher here LOL.

  • Guys please help I just purchased this s10e exynos version, have the latest os version. The problem is the device is occasionally hot even I just open WhatsApp or watching YouTube, or surf the internet ..

  • Hi again Maria please forgive me because I'm embarrassed to ask but I'm not sure whether you are suggesting to buy or not to buy.

  • No not everyone. Perhaps you don't know many people or perhaps we are just not as smart as you.

  • You wrote: "We'll wait...bla bla bla...." We? You mean more than you (i.e. 1 person). Do not wait for me, please google it yourself or browse here @gsmarena.com, you or all of you will find out the better "flat screen" phones. And please join a marketing class and you can understand the meaning of selling point of a product (i.e not a user preference, like you prefer "flat screen" phone instead of curved screen).

  • It has the night mode update

  • Is it true that the s10e didn't get the night mode update?

  • To those who kept saying that S10e's battery does not have enough juice. I attached here my S10e's battery performance. I hope 37-40 hours is enough, that's not even using the battery's full 100% capacity.

  • Name some of those "many" flat screen phones better than S10e. We'll wait for your knowledgeable share.

  • Power efficient, but not enough to justify price. In my opinion any costs above 200$ should last more than two days of hassle-free battery endurance. I hope you don't own a phone manufacturing unit or marketing guy who says this money can get you this. Like who decides how much should I get for my money.

  • The flat screen and the compact size is one of the selling points of the s10e.

  • Yes

  • Same to you. You hope that anybody totally agree with you to say that "flat screen" spec is the selling point of S10e. Everyone here know that many "flat screen" phones are better than this S10e.

  • +100. There us just someone who can't accept the fact that flat screen is a selling feature nowadays. That person thinks everyone likes what he/she also likes.

  • which is good s10e or huawei p20 pro?

  • Thanks a lot

  • But considering that the s10e has a smaller screen size, then s10e consumes less power energy. That states that the s10e is still a power efficient device.

  • But with regards with its smaller screen size, this is still a power efficient phone.

  • Okay. Green color?

  • OK thanks for your reply Maria.

  • Both good but s10e is slightly better overall.

  • Yes it's worth to upgrade in S10e an now you can purchase this one for only 479.00 U$D Brandnew it depends on your location and region

  • You could purchase S10e SD855 version through Amazon.com or ebay.com

  • Go for S10e for Great Camera and Best Performance and Display.

  • Hello...pls i wanna ask if i get the S10e variant for US(with SD855) will i be able to use it in my flawlessly country (Nigeria, Africa)...?? Thanks...pls i need answers

  • S10e or iPhone XR ?

  • No! There tons of phones with huge displays! Many with microsd! Keep the size samsung! Its perfect) Flat screen to all except maybe for Note.

  • Yes it's dual hybrid sim

  • I got this phone and it's amazing. I like the size and quality. I will never buy phones over 145mm. I had an A7 2018 and sold it. It was too heavy to carry and painfull in pocket.

  • Why do you not become an English teacher here? So I can learn English from you.

  • Is this phome dual sim?

  • Well for the phone u have is a really good chance to change to the s10e.

  • I just bought this S10e even though I preferred the size of the S10. Why? FLAT SCREEN. I have been waiting for years to upgrade to a good phone with Micro SD and FLAT SCREEN. I hate the curved screen. I got the Note 9 but sold it because I hated the curved edges and also it was too heavy. But the S10e is the perfect size, I only wish it had a higher resolution display and also a 6.3" screen, but other than that, this phone is the best phone ever made. S10 loses because of the curved screen. If S10 had a flat screen like the S10e, then it would be the best phone ever made. I hope the S11e will be the 100% perfect phone for the future. In the meantime, until that comes out I will use this S10e for being the best phone with a flat display. There are other phones like OnePlus and Pixel, but they do NOT have a microSD - deal breaker! Samsung, make your S11e with all the same features as well as only a slightly larger 6.3" screen but also a FLAT display and also a higher resolution screen. KEEP the headphone jack (or else I will not buy it). The 150 grams is the perfect weight as well, but if it could be even lighter weight I would be even happier.

  • Yes, the camera is better than the S9, S9+, and even Note 9. The S10e has a better camera than any previous generation of phone, and it also has the Wide Angle camera, a huge benefit.

  • Maria, because of your POOR GRAMMAR you accidentally said the wrong thing. What you MEANT to say was: "BUY IT because you like the compact design, not just because it's cheap." Please learn better english before trying to write public reviews!

  • I currently own Xperia XA2. Is S10e a worthy upgrade?

  • Samsungs policy concerning Exynos/Snapdragon stopped me from buying this. Exynos is based on an old Cortex 75 and Snapdragon 855 is based on the new Cortex A76 Out-of-Order cpu. Off cource the snapdragon is way faster and way more energy efficient. It's a newer generation CPU than the Exynos.

  • if you only care about the performance and other feature, i would say go for it if your the kind of guy prefer a screen to be average instead of smaller screen then don't first

  • Hello @scorpio, from the beginning I advice to all that Do Not buy this S10e because it is the cheapest one of S10 series. And buy this S10e especially because the user needs/loves the compact size (by today's size standart, of course). Personally, I love S10e as well. I just understand that the user who ask the question is from Note8. Note8 has a bigger screen than S10e and I assume that the user used to use a big screen, instead of small screen (i.e. a compact size)

  • Hi Maria why don't you like the s10e or is it that you simply prefer the s10. I like the s10e for its size and flat screen but prefer the better display of the s10. It's a dilemma. I'm due for an upgrade from my s8 in a couple of months and am not sure which way to go. If there are leaks on the s11 and it sounds like a real step forward then I may wait for that.

  • You are right. I am keeping my Note8. I did some research.... and I won't get a better phone if I upgrade too early

  • Let's say your Note8 is working fine and you can do anything you want to do with Note8. I could say it is not worth upgrade. But if Note8 is not enough for you right now, S10 family is worth upgrade. And I will buy at least, S10, instead of S10e. Of course, a stylus pen no more.

  • is it worth upgrading from a note8 to this ??

  • What country are you from? and what variant?

  • does this phone have better camera and better quality than the s9plus plese help me

  • I never experienced it but in my country, Samsung already released 2 updates with wifi-related updates.

  • Hello guys need help, does your s10e have week wifi scanning? im in my room and well aware that signal of wifi is weak, but i have my s6 edge and it was able to connect easily while my s10e cant even detect the wifi available. im using exynos F/DS variant

  • Exactly but still dont know point of sealing batteries to what we had 5 years ago. Also dont know how will help bussiness removing memory card slot. Because memory are extra money paid. For example Samsung have own memory cards.

  • You are clearly new to using a mobile phone since you don't know that the opposite is what has been happening ever since mobile phones first became available.

  • exactly. to the point.

  • So you come to the same point as us. the headphone jack is removed from the business point of view. Not from user friendliness point of view. No matter how much you tell ''wireless is the future'' whereas it's truly forced future. Companies are kinda robbing every penny out of our pocket.

  • Yeah wow me too, i thought bigger......A series bigger.

  • And even with removable battery, who ever brought another nobody lol. Phone would die before battery

  • but i already sell it and switch to mate20x 🤣

  • are u trolling? z3c?? i chge from xz1compact for this phone, are u sure u r not on drug or something?

  • P30 and Pro's night shots are not spectacular. They win in dome shots, S10e also wins some. Plus S10 series captures more accurate colors. And wait for GCam to be ported to Exynos, it will trash the P30s. SD already has the GCam port.

  • If tech companies donating I will pick better over better. But when I pay I am king of my my own mix. You deliver it or not? Companies has to decide whether they want to sell or not. We have see bulsitt mix of marketing gimmicks.

  • If they would keep sound quality like with headphone jack, i would also think like you. But with garbage sound quality like huawei, or even samsung nah.. Priorities matter

  • e stands for essential

  • Guys, which one would you buy : S10E or Huawei P30? They're both priced similarly in my country. I know overall S10E is better (UI, IP ratings, wireless charging, etc), but the camera on P30 is more versatile and that night mode is exceptional. I am torn! (I am now using a P20, btw)

  • It is possible only when we have such too many options available which ticks all the check boxes we need!!! Unfortunately, we have to take a pick from what is available in the market... e.g., smallest size with largest battery with other good features that you need (processor, screen, camera and so on...)

  • Great size what I am looking at, not smart and not ugly big. Sweet spot size. Battery is good enough for one day is old slogan for the price. I need 2 full day or big 4000+ battery. I don't trust battery savings mode from every company. If you are asking more than 200$ I need greatest battery. And I wish companies give what we want, not what they want.

  • I hate curve Body (Screen/Back) for Galaxy S series and Note series phone but this S10e Design is too good. I Love Flat Body with Perfect finishing and design because all phone’s feature are not very different.

  • Battery life is pretty good if you ask me (though like most phones, far from where it should be designed to). I haven't monitored a full discharge but if I extrapolate, I calculate about 6-7 hours of screen on time. Of course I turned off unnecessary stuff like always on display, facebook, things like that. I love this phone (size, display, options, headphone jack, etc)!

  • e means essential

  • Small battery killed my interest buying this phone. Wish it had 3500+ battery

  • e for essential (i.e the most important features of S10 family in S10e).

  • What does the lower case "e" mean? Embedded SIM card? Can not see that in the specification though.

  • Why has this thread become a discussion about jack? I wanna know about the phone.

  • No it's not. Your comparison is way off. Removable battery is preferred because it makes the much easier to maintain. Just buy another battery and replace. 3.5mm jack is preffered over wireless for a variety of reasons: 1) it is more reliable, 2) it doesn't have its own battery, you can therefore use it continuously even for days or months, 3) it has no interference even if there is typhoon, 4) it is much easier to replace, 5) it is cheaper, 6) it has way much more selection, 7) the true highend ones has much better sound. Wireless only real benefit is being wireless, nothing more.

  • I've just ordered the S10e

  • Well man i am simple bussinessman nothing special. So i understand why jack going to be removed. Over the many years i were thinking for money. Who dont create money and income cant run a bussiness is worth only for missionary things like to help others for free and having nothing as reward apart from thank you. But from thank you any individual cant pay his bills, eat fresh food from supermarket or buy new clothes etc.

  • Samsung S10e Or Note 9 Which one is better to buy.

  • 3.5mm jack is like user removable battery, eventually no one would as for it, for me that 3.5mm hole does nothing but collecting dust.

  • But that's the whole point, isn't it? I understand why wireless is/has taken over. Anyone who doesn't want cables can simply forget the jack is there. It doesn't interfere with anything. And then there are those who like the jack for a number of reasons. Turntables were practically forgotten species yet they came back, ok, they're not going to compete with new tech but it's nice to see that some "ancient" inventions still have their place.

  • This is a goodsize handy compact flagship phone from S10 Series.

  • Well it does .Wired earphones are cheaper in most ways than wireless ones. Excluding site such as wish.com where a wireless earphones even average or low quality cost from 1 euro.

  • I totally agree. And most people are still unaware that wireless charging is way more slower than wired with the same output specs. And wireless charging is not eco friendly because it produces wasted energy and gives out radiation.

  • Again, no disrespect but having both wireless and the 3.5 jack choices just proves that there's absolutely no need to discard the jack. Of course, new tech will always take over, oftentimes just to force us to buy more expensive gizmos, but I don't see how having the jack prevents anyone from going wireless. Having choices doesn't hurt, does it.

  • With all due respect, the reality is nothing like that at all. Nothing personal, I hung on to my rooted S5 because it was the last S with a removable battery. Finally gave up the fight, also decided to go unrooted. In a month and a half the Exynos S10e disproved all poor battery life claims.

  • Didn't read your post until after I posted mine (the long post mentioning an old rooted S5), your battery experience is basically identical to mine. Absolutely agree with what stated. :)

  • Got mine on 24th of April, the Exynos version (yes, the one that's supposed to be a battery killer). First Galaxy I've decided not to root so no Greenify, no custom ROMs (kept my rooted S5, ResurrectionRemix 7.1.2, as my daily driver until that one silly drop finally killed it) nothing other than not using location, black wallpaper, disabling some useless (to me) apps and all the basic stuff. Never use Wi-Fi (with a 30GB data plan I don't need to) and even with heavy use it still gives me at least 6 hrs. screen time without dropping below 10% battery. With moderate use it easily gets to 10 or more. Why am I saying all this? To anyone, including all the reviews, talking about poor battery life - I beg to differ.

  • Best choice is S10...big screen but still compact and light only 157g (S10e is 150g)

  • I didn't say I had any issues with notifications, my phone runs perfectly fine

  • It's just perfect in every detail.. I prefer this size and the hole and the hi teck pack... Only one think I wouldn't think I would encounter in Samsung is that the screen turns dim when I'm in my polarized sunglasses, so I have to tilt it or take off the glass.. Pretty annoying

  • S10e...compact,flat screen,

  • Stop using apps that modify your system core. It's more often than not the cause of intabilities. Leave Sammy apps alone, just disable them. I've owned S1, S3, S5, and S7 all oftem since launch date, but I have not experienced any instabilities. I am a techie by heart but I don't install apos that mess with the core. There are various ways to achieving the same results than giving apps root access.

  • Cable? Well, I am not Sammy fanboy. I think that it is not only Samsung cable but any brands cable have the same problem of yours.

  • Good advice. And, buy Note 9 only if you don't mind lugging around 200 grams in your pocket. It's heavy as f*ck. I have used both S10e (Snapdragon) and Note 9; both are great. Note 9 has great battery life too.

  • Then the one who cause the mess to the phone is Google, not SAMSUNG, not SAMSUNG Exynos SoC. Google Maps is developed by Google, not SAMSUNG.

  • Samsung usb cables are crap. They break easily. the trick is never fold it, just roll the cable for storage.

  • Its a mess, im not using social media, just a few things, teamviewer, uninstalled samsung bloat, disabled thru devmode the apps etc. There is a bug according to xda that googlemaps notification is the issue. If you disable gmaps notifications you should be fine.

  • But the S10e defeats the normal S10 when it comes to battery performance.

  • I find my s10e BTU version to be quite good on battery life, I usually get 6 hours screen on time, even managed 7 hours once....If I use to normally which means I don't play games or youtube but use net, email, camera then I sometimes charge every 2 days. You can't really judge phones unless you're comparing like for like usage with exactly the same apps installed, so people moaning about poor battery life might just have an app acting up.....either clear the apps cache or uninstall and reinstall....sometimes apps just aren't up to date enough and the developers need to pull their finger out if they are asking a price for their apps....I admit the s10e battery is small but it's not the mess people say it is.

  • The reality is that the exynos version in galaxy s10e is very poor in terms of battery performance.

  • after having my s10 for a week, my cable charging unit doesnt work anymore, have to charge wireless, not good at all

  • Yes I also had the same problem with s10e , not a perfect phone I would say ,I sold it because of poor battery , heating and proximity sensor issue . Now i am using iPhone x and its much better

  • Your 4yr old phone's battery is laughable compared to the 20-yr old Nokia 5110.

  • Got this phone a couple of weeks ago. Loving it so far. Cameras are fantastic, screen is great, especially without the curves. Battery life is okay, I easily get full day without charging. For the price (530eur now) it's probably the best smartphone choice.

  • Best compact size flagship phone from SAMSUNG I've purchased mine for just U$D 480.000 Brandnew here in the Middle East and came with free case. Love the Camera and good battery backup.

  • oh dear better with pixel 3a, or some A20 then. Why pay $900

  • No troll at all, the battery usage is awful compared to a 4y old phone.

  • You are obviously trolling. You are the only person who ever said negative comment about S10's video stabilizer.

  • Iam always at max volume so dun really notice the difference. Ill try to turn on again and compare at half volume

  • Disappointed after changing my z3c for this. The colours in amoled are awful, the battery life is half compared to sony what is 4y old and i have never changed the battery. The speakers are fine, the modded android is featureless, childish icons, extra store for galaxy items etc, the video stabilization is also awful, its distorting even with the antishake feature. My z3c made better, stable videos than this. Not recommending to any who wants a compact phone, the price is not worth. Id go for xz2c or a pixel3. Have to wait till they announce xperia2 or a proper flagship without fragile amoled and 2.5 display.

  • The heat issue because of Exynos? I do not think so, SD also cause heat issue and any processor can cause it too. Every single smartphones today is a small/micro PC, so the heat issue is always still there.

  • The pre-installed one is not meant for prolong ptotection, it's just there so we can immediately use the phone without fear of scratches. It's just the same as with any newly purchased item with glass, Samsung just made it functional in releases since a few years ago by using clear protective films rather than the glass standard with various prints on it.

  • As long as it is a smartphone, has a CPU and GPU, no matter is Exynos or Qualcomm Snapdragon or Kirin or MediaTek, during the time you are using the phone or charging the phone, the phone sure will be heating. Just the temperature will reach how many degrees only. Why all of you so worry about the heating when your phone is within a normal and safety temperature?

  • This phone is great and best of its size handy and powerful u can use of hand. Camera is great also the ultra wide cam. Only issue is heating maybe of the exynos.

  • There are plenty of apps on google play to help you reset the proximity sensor. I did use one of those apps on my huawei p9 and it worked. It's most likely a software problem that can be solved. If the problem persists contact a setvice center.

  • Right, not only increase heating but also bad quality plastic protector, scratch easily

  • For me Samsung phones might be the best phone brands ever made when it comes from downloading videos, photos other phones does not download HD automatically trust me I still have my j5 and I have no problem even when connecting to internet

  • So the phone comes with a pre-installed screen protector. Should I switch it for Copter Exoglass for instance. I read somewhere that the pre-installed one increases the change of overheating. Any thoughts?

  • Same switch and also satisfied.

  • Bring yours back to Samsung Service Center soon, make sure that Service Center is 100% authentic Samsung Service Center.

  • My s10e has some problems with proximity sensor sometimes even after the call ends or running the call if I took it from ear the sensor is not responding the screen is dark and sometimes while talking screen is still on. Also the screen is suddenly on inside my pocket... anyone facing this issue kindly inform and what is the solution??

  • I hate to say that because i love my S10, but usually Samsung phones are not great at recording loud music. But maybe S10 serie is better, still didn't have the opportunity to test that in a concert. The solution is to use an external microphone, or even only the microphone of the headset to avoid saturation. Worth a try.

  • Congratulations on your purchase at a super low price! O_O Dolby Atmos emulates Dolby Surround on the phone. It is noticeable in games, movies and music.

  • I just using s10e recently and have no experience with iphone 10r .. my honest opinion is s10e compact size just the right size for replacement of my xz1 compact , small and powerful, but i got the exynos ver and dun know sd ver is better or not . First of all the display really make me think sony screen are trash , speakers of this phone blown me away . with dolby atmos on or off , there's no difference i notice . Battery last longer than my sony xz1c , i think cuz i always using a dark theme and wallpaper 24/7 . Btw i always let the animation off from dev option , i think that affect my battery life too .. btw i got this phone for only 300 usd sec hand phone , still with warranty from carousell malaysia so it's so worth the money . (Sorry for the bad spelling and grammar , english is not my native language )

  • All Andorid 9 Pie from Samsung featured by that gesture

  • Get iPhone X if you prefer iOS, otherwise S10e. Avoid XR as it is huge, heavy and lacks 3D touch.

  • 50% is what i use outside. Indoors is between 20 to 30%. Thank you for you answer. For what you say the battery life is pretty good

  • Does the swipe down anywhere on the screen of 10e bring down the status bar? Like it does on the A40?

  • Try to lower the brightness specially when indoor. I game ~3hrs and use the internet ~10hrs everyday and my battery lasts ~23hrs, but my screen brightness is only @16.7% or @1/6

  • I'm use my phone at 50%luminosity at most, i use some social media and sometimes I also play. In this kind of conditions (or similars), how does the s10e Exynos version battery life handle it? Like SoT and all. Thx

  • Audio recording is good, surprisingly loud and clear.

  • Forget everything else. Do you want a small phone: S10e Do you take a lot of photos at night: S10e For every other reason: Note 9

  • I do not talk about the specs/features. Many peoples have already discuss it. You can read it @ gsmarena.com too. Buy S10e only if (yes only if) you really love or need the small/compact phone. Do not buy S10e because it is the cheapest one of the S10 family. If you love or need the bigger display, you have plenty of choices, including Note9. And buy Note9 only if you need a stylus pen.

  • As I said before. There's no need for those words and the message context would have been the same. You're comparing an apple to an orange. Your sign board if taken out would not give the same message as your post did if your extra words were omitted. Stop making making yourself look like a douche.

  • Note 9 or s10e , i need clear answers

  • If you are in hospital, for example, and see and read the sign "Please be quite", are you noisy? Maybe yes, maybe No. And you read my opinion "do not be happy...", are you happy? Maybe yes, maybe No. Whatever your feeling after reading my opinion, I do not mind it. You are happy, it is okay. If you are not happy, it is okay too.

  • You did assume. There's no need for those words and the context of your message would have been the same.

  • hello..can i have opinion about s10e video recording capabilities? just for a reference, i work in a live music performance industry so i need to record a lot of live music like orchestra, busking, dance etc..will s10e satisfying, or is there alternatives for good video recording that priced around or lower than s10e..and nfc is pretty vital to me as i use it daily..thank you :)

  • I do not say or assume (only) you are happy. If you are not happy, it is okay. If someone say that S10e vs P30, even P30 Pro is an easy decision because (you know why)..., what does it mean? S10e won? Or it means that people who have or want to buy P30/P30Pro will regret? It is still a difficult decision actually.

  • Who's happy? Why are you assuming I'm happy of other's misfortune???

  • Do not be happy too much, as China is not stupid. If it happens, I am sure that there will be Chinese Android LOL perhaps with 100% free satellite map, etc...

  • woah thanks man im glad I havent bought any of them yet phew now I know what to pick

  • S10e vs P30/P30 Pro is easy decision now. Huawei loses access to Android and Google, effective immediately

  • Just like that? The poor sad thing doesn't even have an OLED panel at that price, the M30 is a $200 phone and has it. Jobs scam seems to never stop.

  • Best form factor with top spec. Don't really like samsung but this is the right phone.

  • Hi guys. Stuck between X vs S10 or Xr vs S10e . Please can you give me your honest user review without bias?

  • Iphone xr

  • S10e, no contest.

  • And you can inform us honestly, are you Apple iPhone user or Android (i.e S10e) user? Tell us If this is the first time or you never do anything with iOS or Android in your life.

  • Iphone XR or S10e?? Need honest review.

  • well i don own both phone but i give some suggestion as a 5 year samsung user if you decide do chose one ui you have to do deep clean once a year (because i do deep clean once a year so that i can ensure my phone is good as new) ;]

  • While all specs/features look the same/similar, the User Interface will be the final assessment. Well, personally, I admit I never use Huawei although I know Huawei is going to be the one of the best phone brands. I have used Asus, Samsung, Sony and Xiaomi. And you know what, I was Samsung hater so much before Samsung launched Samsung Experience UI 9.0. I am not a Samsung hater or lover too, but I love the now Samsung UI as all apps installed originally can be uninstalled, disabled and hidden. Even, for example, Galaxy Apps Store can be disabled and hidden (but cannot uninstalled). The bloatware is only Facebook app ans Microsoft Office app. That' s my basic experience of the UI.

  • P30 and S10 have same size...get the S10, not the S10e

  • What about Samsung and Huaweis software which is better I heard a lot saying one ui is better than emui, but what if its on a software update stand point which does better??? Thanks for the replies btw.

  • I am not talking about the specs/features technically between both. You can find and read them here. Well, I assume that you never use Huawei and/or Samsung before, so I will advice you to buy the brand that are giving you a better deal. If there is the same deal, I will advice you to buy the brand that has more authentic service centers in your country and near your home, of course.

  • My suggestion will be S10e. I saw many YouTuber making video comparison on both device. P30 / P30 pro may win on zoom lenses & dark/less light photos but how often you will be using the digital zoom up to 10x or 50x times & taking photos during the night..... While the S10e photos are much more balance now. Samsung phone still have an issue over exposing light but much better than Huawei for the color balance & stabilization.

  • Everyone complains about exynos compared to snapdragon, but I read one article (antech or some website) said that exynos is better in gaming. Need confirmation.

  • I was planning whether I should buy the P30 or the s10e its hard to choose, since I neither come from huawei or samsung could anyone help???

  • Some people just have to have something to complain about. I picked a 10E up Monday night. So far, loving it. Don't have battery leech social media apps. I am running around 2 days between charges. Very efficient so far. Just be sure to get ALL the updates before really pushing it.

  • Can everyone having battery problem specify if you're using Snapdragon or Exynos? I'm using Exynos and my S10e's battery is very good. I got the unit on lauch date.

  • Guys, what's up with this thread: Is this true or people are just too emotional before the software updates?

  • I had a j7, which is a damned entry level phone. Bought it the month it came out. Now my dad is using it. No problems yet aside from me cracking the screen after dropping it. Long story short they have a life span around 3 and 4 years based on your usage (I was playing games all day)

  • yes,

  • Yes mine is over 2, years battery still as good 2 day usage. Can't fault Samsung

  • s10e is water proof?

  • P30 is exactly the same size as regular S10, even heavier... Buying S10e is only for size. Otherwise, for just 150 dollars more you can get the better and still compact S10

  • You Can always use always on display

  • Nice good to hear that. But about battery life: "Battery life is OK for a device this size and my use case, I charge every 2-3 days" That sounds very good but Do you actually use your phone? ;p The notification LED is indeed gone unfortunately. I guess Samsung choose to not put effort into making it possible on a bezel-less phone and relies on the always on display for notifications. All the more reason for hate towards bezel-less phones ; ) I know Sony placed the notification LED behind the speakers on some phones. There are settings or apps that can make part of your screen, like around the camera, to light up but are dependent on your brightness of the display and maybe won't keep blinking so long as a dedicated notification led would.

  • I recently bought S10e (Exynos) and this phone is amazing. Everything about it is great. Flat screen is great (my old S8 had curved screen and I hated it), looks are great, cameras are incredible, speed is great. Battery life is OK for a device this size and my use case, I charge every 2-3 days. I'm not a heavy user, I don't play high end games (I have PC and consoles for that). The only negative is I miss notification LED, why did they have to remove such a useful feature? All in all, highly recommend S10e.

  • The same answer. It is an easy answer. If you come from Huawei, it is better for you to buy another Huawei. Otherwise, you will have new experience with Samsung. Honor is just like Huawei.

  • Does size matter? The S10e is only slightly smaller. But for me this makes a BIG difference and would only go for the S10e but if you don't mind the size just ignore this ; ) By the way yes the S10e does not have a under-screen finger print scanner, but the power button finger print scanner is much faster. The placement however might be a little high, maybe test this out first

  • Thanks, but the Xperia Compacts are too old

  • Xperia Compact models. But they are pricey and hard to get. I currently own Xperia XA2 (midrange) and I'm very happy. Compact, sturdy, camera is good, battery is excellent.

  • P30 lacks: No main camera OIS All back cameras are different from P30 pro ones No IP68 (water resistance) No stereo speakers No wireless charging No headphones jack S10e: Smaller Battery No under-display fingerprint scanner No telephoto camera

  • P30 wins in camera zoom. Disregarding zoom, both edge one another in image quality. Everything else S10e wins. Check out the hardware specs of each phone and decide for yourself. S10e also wins in hardware accessory compatibility.

  • P30

  • Guys i have never used as powerful phones as this.. I have been using J5 and J3 2016. I want some change but if you recommend this... Btw I'm thinking between Huawei P30 and Samsung Galaxy S10e. Advices please.

  • The battery seems to last better after a certain update aswell. Probably goes for all the S10 models. For everyone posting their experience with battery usage could you please also mention whether you have the snapdragon or exynos version and which firmware version when giving feedback. Would help more : )

  • To everyone here that is also looking for a "compact" phone. What other phones do you consider? Aside from the S10e there is also the Galaxy A40 (low budget), Google Pixel 3 (expensive and mid range specs). These are recent phones with at least around 2 years of updates to be received. @everyone complaining about the battery of the S10e and advising the S10/+ instead. Are you sure the battery is not worse on those? The battery is bigger but so is the screen. I read a review telling how the S10e battery performed longer on the S10e compared to the S10 and S10+. I could be wrong but people seem to only look at the battery capacity and not other things

  • It is an easy answer. If you come from Huawei, it is better for you to buy another Huawei. Otherwise, you will have new experience with Samsung. Honor is just like Huawei.

  • My S7 is still working except for the camera module which is about 50 USD to replace in my country. It has gone through alot so I'm pretty it'll last if you know how to take care.

  • Found it. Thanks for the input.

  • Do you even use it or at least do hands on? Don't embarrast yourself on worldwide

  • Do Samsung phones hold up for 2 years? I have Huawei P10 and this thing, haven't slown a bit, and now I m looking into huawei P30, Honor V20 or this S10e. All phones are in the same price range in my country. What's your recommendation?

  • The 3100 mah battery is a joke .

  • Go for s10e or s9+

  • On the notification bar, hold down the POWER MODE icon to enter its configuration. Then you will have access to 3 power mode settings. You can hold down each power mode to enter the sub configurations, which also includes the option to LIMIT CPU SPEED to 70%. On a side note, the phone automatically reduces all processor cores' frequency at default when processing power is not needed.

  • Try power saving, this should limit the CPU a little bit.

  • Yes, grab S10.

  • I thought i would like a smaller phone, but i prefer to go with regular S10. Same size as S9, and compared to S10e it has much better look, louder speaker, better cameras, better screen...etc. Same weight, and just a little more expensive. Your choice...

  • I played some games in this phone and its great. It can handle star warfare 2 , respawnables and asphalt 8 easily, I use exynos version and haven't find problem playing this game. Ihavent try PUBG yet.

  • A good display which is hardly any different from the 1440p sets like my previous flat S7. I don't believe in the Edge screen which really put me off from upgrading to the S8 or S9. And the smaller screen should equate to better battery life too. The punch hole can be annoying at times, but definitely less intrusive than the notches of late. Overall, it's just a damn good screen to indulge at, and it's easy on the eyes too! Sound quality through the jack is a hit or miss, it's warm and more towards the mids. But there are plenty of audio enhancements to play around. Can't fault the stereo speakers though, great sound! The included AKG earphones are pretty nice and comfortable, and should be just fine for the majority, even for a self proclaimed audiophile like me. Dolby Atmos is just a gimmick though, and I was never into virtual surround sound. Processing power is more than adequate for the light user in me. I don't game on the go so the Exynos 9820 is definitely overkill. I haven't found the option to tone down the CPU power, which was available on my S7. Overall, the phone runs butter smooth especially with all animation off. Shouldn't be a problem for the hardcore guys out there. Camera is surprisingly good. I find Huawei cameras heavy on post processing. Samsung cameras seem to have the right amount. Auto focusing is a blitz! Battery is rather poor I would say. 2 hours of normal usage took away 20% juice. My Nokia 8 with the same battery capacity does better. Ergonomics is typical Samsung. Everything feels in place. I personally prefer the side mounted fingerprint sensor. Felt more natural even for small hands like mine. Facial unlock is ok, the Chinese rivals are way better. The S10e is all the phone you need.

  • Nope, not at all. There isn't a difference for the human eye, we can't really notice it. Plus with that display and a slightly better battery and more efficient processor, you'll definitely get better battery life. I'm with my Galaxy S10e, and I absolutely love it!

  • That's why it is called S10e, e is for essential. The higher resolution of display may be so important for most peoples. I think those people know if they set the higher resolution display on their phone, the higher one consumes the battery more. With our naked eyes, we cannot see big differrences although it is diffrerent. Back to conclusion, this e is for essential.

  • I just moving from S8 to S10e. There's nothing any different in terms of screen resolution, my eyes surely can't catch up "less pixel" on S10e. Even it have more better sharpness and color accuracy where you can easily notice. Slightly better battery performance too

  • It's a typo. It's S10e.

  • 2000 units? I prefer the huge deal ones. You can negotiate it with the seller.

  • S20e or A20e ??? there isn't a S20e, you tried A20e?

  • I have a S8 and considering to upgrade to S10e. Even though it seems like a much better device, the screen resolution is much lower! How come? Isn't this a drawback for the S10e?

  • if you would buy 2000 units for enterprise purpose - S10e or Hua P30lite?

  • If you are living in the Nokia keypad (around 1990s above), the display of S9/S10e/even iPhone 3 is so huge. If you are living today, the display of S9/S10+ can be said as a small screen in the compact body. iPhone SE, for me, is a mini phone, and I am sure that people do not enjoy watching YouTube so much.

  • Small screen??? This is the same screen size as the last model, the S9, remember that one?

  • It may have the FM radio, but here in the U.S., the CDMA carriers (yes Verizon, I am pointing directly at you) disable the FM radio on purpose, so as to push a person to use more data, making them more money in the process. The FCC should stop that, but then again the FCC is OWNED by the phone carriers to do what they want.

  • I stand to correct my earlier post on the no FM radio. It appears there is a FM radio chipset in the Galaxy S10e and will work with the RadioNext app.

  • I upgraded from s6edge and battery life is good, i use a lot social networks and internet.

  • Based on what you say you should get s10e since you like headphone jack and Samsung os. Samsung phones have good display, good battery and also good overall performance. If you have more money to spare you should get s10 or s10 plus, they are better. But if not stick to s10e.

  • Hi, I am not so expert, if I read your story, I think that you are better to buy another Samsung mobile, no matter what people say about Samsung. New Samsung UI is lot better than TouchWiz. As long as you are happy with smaller display and compact body of S10e, this is the best choice. The main issue may be the smaller battery of S10e, but its battery is so equal with its display. Bigger display also needs more battery consumption. If you have little more money to spend, it is better to buy S10 or Note9.

  • Since you watch a lot of videos, you might want to think carefully if you want a bigger screen for bigger view or for portability. I also watch a lot videos but I prefer the portable package this s20e brings. And on the plus side, its stereo speaker is much much better than monos. It slso has a Dolby Atmos feature that enhance the sound to immitate surround sound. I came from S7 and can honestly say the experience is much improved

  • Guys i need your help. Should i buy the s10e snapdragon or the oneplus 6t. Im not a gamer but i do watch a lot of videos on youtube and also a lot of films. The notch or the hole punch is not a problem for me except the headphone jack(there isnt one on 6t). Price is also not a problem since there is not auch a big difference. I am currently on my note 4 wich is very old and its battery is shit. Also the oneplus os can be a little bit kf a problem for me because im used to samsung. Thank you very much.

  • Nice phone however I recently purchased the S10e from a USA cell provider only to discover that it doesn’t have FM radio capability, bummer.

  • If the battery is your most important consideration, do not buy this S10e, especially if you are a heavy user/gamer. Even S10/S10+, the battery is still an issue for some people, especially for Samsung hater. I recommend you to spend little more money to buy S10, of course if you are "Samsung only" user. Like I said, S10e is especially for people who love or need that size (i.e. compact, smaller).

  • It does.

  • Try Galaxy S7. It's outdated model but the performance are at par or better than with current midrange. Here in the Philippines it can now be bought at around US$150-200 converted.

  • Any other flat screen phones mid range I can't spend that much

  • Tell me how's the battery backup to this phone anyone who owned this phone? I'm planning to upgrade my galaxy S6 edge to this S10e.

  • 3100 mAh for the screen resolution is too weak ! The true resolution should be 1080x1920

  • I do not blame peoples buying this S10e because of the flat screen or any reasons...and please do not promote any other brands because everyone know there are so many other brands which are great value than S10 family. What I try to say from the beginning is that Do not buy this S10e just because of its cheapest one of S10 family. Buy this only if you love or you need a compact size (in today's standart, of course). Flat screen, specs and anything else are just an essential feature of S10 family. S10e....e for essential. Hope my English is understand-able and no mis-understanding.

  • Pushing my opinion....Same to you: pushing the flat screen. You even do not answer my question, which one is the best tagline to sell this S10e (just imagine you are seller or the owner of Samsung): S10e, the flat screen phone of S10 family...OR S10e, the compact phone of S10 family.

  • Nah I love the s10e I would buy it because of the specs and the FLAT screen. But I recently bought the mate 20 (also flat screen) so I'm goodd....

  • It's been there since release as far as I know. But yes, it's there.

  • Does the camera as voice shot? Like the 2017 models?

  • Latest OTA update now has night shot.

  • I personally know more than 10 people, aside from me. So it junks your assumption. Please stop pushing for your assumptions.

  • LOL I do not want to be "gender shamer" or something like that...

  • Some may buy the S10e because of its flat screen. I do not blame them, including you, at all. But I am sure most buyers do not put the "flat screen" reason as their main consideration, even Samsung do not use this into its marketing language and let people know this by themselves.

  • if you're just an average user that browses social and a bit more I'd recommend the s10e personally. if you're a power user like using excel spreadsheets on your phone or even just frequent multi-tasking while doing something else i'd recommend the note 9 because it has the bigger screen, a longer lasting battery, and the s pen allows for easier use of multi-tasking/more precise use of programs. I personally don't recommend the Xr but that's mostly because its specs really just don't compare to the note 9 and s10e other than processor which is kind of hard to notice in everday use.

  • @Maria. Why do you do this "he/she" nonsense? You can just write 'he' and it will include everyone. Are you French or something?

  • Samsung brought back the flat screen to the flagship because people demanded it, and so resulted to your so-called marketing standpoint.

  • You have an argument because you prefer the flat one. But in the business & marketing, the flat screen of flagship cannot be the point to increase the sale. Which one do you think the best languange? The flat screen of the S10 family or The compactness of S10 family.

  • did you even read? flagship phone with flat screen.

  • The flat screen is so ordinary, even the cheapest phone has it. It cannot be the seling point of the flagship. Some may love a flat screen but when he/she love a bigger display or he/she used to use a bigger display, then he/she buy this S10e....I am sure he/she does not enjoy the smaller screen. Not mention to the smaller battery S10e has. When it talk about the battery, he/she will be disappointed more.

  • P30 has 3.5 mm jack, pro model does not have.

  • Yes it does

  • S10e's size is only secondary. The main selling point of S10e is the flat screen, by a wide margin. We've been waiting for 3 years for a flagship phone with flat screen. Curved edge screen is too delicate.

  • That means you love a small (i.e. compact) phone. That's why you are satisfied. The selling point of S10e is the size with the flagship experience. The target is people who love small (i.e. compact) phone and or need that size. (Please do not reply my opinion by comparing this with other brands. It is for S10e, S10 and S10+ only)

  • Yes, it is not so big, but it is still smaller than S10. So buy this S10e if only you love a small (i.e. compact) phone. Do not buy this because it is the cheapest Samsung flagship you can buy, you will regret it.

  • S10 has much slimmer bezel, and only 7g heavier

  • Actually the size from S10 is not so bigger than S10e. And as S10 is only 150 dollars more expensive, i decided to buy the real flagship S10, better looking too.

  • I am currently having Galaxy A3 and it has Dual Messenger. Just want to confirm before purchase, if anyone is using, does s10e have Dual Messenger too...?

  • This phone is phenomenal. Buy now and don't look back.

  • Been used it for a month, dissapointed? No i don't. I'm very happy with it. Great value compare to other bigger brothers. Apart from telephoto lens, you can do almost everything the same on this phone

  • S10e

  • Ofcourse S10e

  • Pixel 2 XL or S10e?

  • I am talking about Samsung only in this page. Do not buy S10e if your reason is: you want the cheapest S10 series. Yes, this is the great value of the flagship. But you will be dissapointed. Buy this S10e because you want the best compact phone of Samsung today.

  • S10 e for sure only minimal difference from its siblings

  • Note 9

  • Ditch the XR from upur choices. Your choices for your budget should only be between Samsung S10E and Hwawei P30. Go with P30 if your main need 8mis canera zoom, P30 and P30 Pro have the best zooms with quality in the market. Everything else, S10E wins over P30. Also, P30 doesn't have 3.5mm audio jack and microsd slot.

  • Hello everyone. I will be buying new phone this week. My budget is 750$. I am very much confused between iPhone XR, Samsung S10e and Samsung Note 9. Which phone shall i buy and why? Please help a brother out. ps-I am switching from Motorola G5 plus, I know.

  • Ever since I bought the Note 8 I was highly dissapointed and after a month of use I exchanged it. I've been on Huawei ever since and wasn't sure whether I should switch to the S10E but I did...and I do not regret it, the phone feels phenomenal - easy and compact. The screen is superb and there is absolutely no lag on the software whatsoever. They've surely improved with One UI. It's got a bit of a learning curve but that's how it is with every new thing. The only thing that could be a little better is the battery life. I can get to the end of the day with about 10-20% battery left. Overall I'm very satisfied.

  • Anticipate your use. How long will you use the phone? Are you willing to compromise better performance for better camera zoom? Do prefer to use specific earphone models? Is 128GB enough? Hwawei can't use the standard 3.5mm earphone jack and microSD card.

  • With indoors i am having no issues with my Airtel sim in India

  • Yes it comes with pre-applied screenguard

  • The game performance is flawless. It runs PUBG and other high end games smoothly in high graphics with exynos system.

  • Here in the philippines the price of Huawei P30 and Samsung S10e is almost the same. P30 or S10e??? ty

  • same camera as s10

  • If it is based on the main camera only, I am sure both are the same. S10e has the additional camera for fun while S9 only has one cam. So, if you are new buyer or want to upgrade the old one, I think you must buy S10e.

  • Yes for some regions. The website says it may vary depending upon the region. Regardless, it is not that good and you may want to replace it with something else.

  • Are you using the exynos version or the snapdragon version? If you are using the exynos version how is the game performance of the phone?

  • Yes, front, side, back.

  • I keep thinking this a crappy version of the s10 but it seems to have pretty much the same stuff except for the zoom camera.

  • Did it comes with pre installed screen protector right out of the box.

  • S10e

  • S10, the main cam is better and it also has a wide camera for landscape pics or something of that sort

  • S10e or S9? for camera

  • The A series is not the best but it's perfect in every way. Like the display is still FHD+ but makes battery last longer. No heating problem when i using it for streaming or playing games. Chipset is not beast as the S series, but still no lag for daily use. The camera is less but fine with that. A82018 user. Looking for upgrade to s10e this year..camera is main reason.

  • Would like to buy S10e for practibility but it looks cheap like a toy. And with just a little bit more money i can get the S10 which is the "real" flagship...usability or looks, hard to choose

  • A fantastic phone. Typing this on the s10e and it's everything I wanted and more. Thank you Samsung.

  • Overall a really great phone. I only wish the battery capacity is a little bigger like 3500mAh

  • Don't have an S10E.

  • No matter what people say, as long as you are happy everyday with Samsung, S10e is the best choice among its sibling. The true weakness is only its smaller battery.

  • Have you and all watched the movie: Minority Report, starred by Tom Cruise? That would be our future phone, I predict. No more heavy physical form.

  • Finally got this little beast move from my S8. Same inch feeling but more slim, light and sharp display. Not a wrong choice who had sick of curve display like me

  • Hhaha I bet my A5 last longer than you 10e....

  • What the iphone XR should have been.

  • Any problem with 4G coverage indoors?

  • Unfortunately people prefer to buy a big phone when they spend a lot of money. Small phone means cheap for many people.

  • I predicted 3 years ago that smart phone manufacturers are flooding market with large phones intentionally so that later they could introduce foldable phones. now they will flood some more and then they will introduce foldable compact phones so that customers are forced to upgrade to increase product life cycle. I guess every one will like 4.5 inch foldable phones which are expandable to 9 inches so their will be phase in 2021 where most will be forced to upgrade hence increasing revenues for mobile manufacturers mostly south asian countries. I see only 1 compact phone iPhone 8 & sharp compact powerful enough designed by Americans rightly so.

  • Unfortunately, Sharp seems not available outside Japan and sony looks like a brick... I'm also looking for a small smartphone (less than 140mm) ; Samsung Galaxy S10e is not that small but that is the best choice actually. IMO.

  • Sharp Aquos R2 compact and Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact are the smallest flag-ship specified phones I know of.

  • You can cut processor speed to 70% in medium battery conserving mode. Games still work fine with it enabled.

  • Is it very heatful in your utilization?

  • Your problem can easily be addressed by buying another model.

  • This phone should have slower chips - less heat, longer battery life. Or possibility to set maximum speed like in Windows.

  • The A series is not the best, they are on par with the J series in terms of battery life.

  • I'm on about continuous screen usage, you are talking about mixed usage (screen off and screen on). Go to Settings then Battery and see the % of screen-on-time. I get 1.5 days too, that is not continuous usage, a phone would not last 36 hours of screen-on-time, the Gionee Marathon is the closest at 30 hours.

  • Can anyone tell me how is the gaming performance of the international model of this phone ( the one that use exynos 9820).

  • How old are you? 15? Before smartphones became the trend, phones are much smaller than they are now. People used to react that the new phones then were too big.

  • You must have midget hands!!! they are small.......compact

  • Ermmmmm My A5 gets 1.5 days ! ... I think A series always seems best!

  • A40 same size! 25mpx camera! strange this only got 16??? and its cheaper.

  • Dude obviously doesn't know optimization.

  • Nope, I get 4.5 hours on my Lumia 820 and many reviews have reported its poor battery life. My Moto E2 gets 10 hours and my main phone, J7 Nxt gets 15 hours max. This is based on the screen-on tests by GSMArena. How do you even get 4-5 hours screen-on-time? That's terribly mediocre for 2019. Maybe you set your brightness all the way up, which is bad for your phone in general and can cause burn-in.

  • A50 is great as well its just the ip68 and 4K video recording it lacka

  • It depends on your company based on various factors. It's best to ask all your department heads. Different jobs have different needs.

  • 11 hours is a joke. Around 4-5 sot hours.

  • Sorry, don't have this phone, but you''ll get a minimum of 11 hours of screen-on-time guaranteed on a low brightness setting,

  • Can someone with this phone explain the performance of the battery?

  • if you are a company with 1800 Users... which device would you recommend to satisfy a lifecycle of a minimum of 2.5 years in enterprise usage?

  • XZ2 Compact will be great, but don't have headphone jack :(

  • Funny...but a small light phone is so much easy to bring around, fitting in every pocket...do people really need a big showel to look at yourself taking selfies...

  • Thanks i was looking at this, going to wait for A Releases today , then decide.

  • If you are satisfied with Samsung UI and need the phone like you said and you are an ordinary user (not a heavy gamer) and your budget is not so unlimited, I recommend Galaxy A8 2018.

  • It look like Sony will shut their phone division soon. Compact Flagship?? Ney.. niche market, waste of resources.. I could only think of those sickening Up skirt Photographers would want one.

  • Between these teo, S10e wins easily, no contest. If you want the overall best phone, it is S10e, look no further. Also, there is already hacked Pixel 3 camera app for S10 series. But if you want the best camera at the expense of lower other features, go with Hwawei P30 or P30 Pro because of their optical zoom. But consider the fragility of mechanical moving lens.

  • Not battery life.

  • hello, im looking for smaller phone, considering s10e (750eur) vs pixel 3 (650eur) could someone help to decide which is better value for money according price that I mentioned above?

  • Good luck ;)

  • Yes, that size would be nice. Probably not going to happen. Sony has likely already abandoned the compact flagship, nothing to replace XZ2 Compact. Either settle for something bigger or just don't use any smartphone. Or maybe the Palm Phone?

  • "Looking for 5,5 inch 19:9 Samsung phone, with maximum dimensions 138x68mm. A40 and S10e are still to big." Not gonna happen buddy. I'm looking too, but I gave up. Maybe Sony will come up with something.

  • Set up a company & make your own phone, you can even make a 0.5" screen if you wish.

  • Looking for 5,5 inch 19:9 Samsung phone, with maximum dimensions 138x68mm. A40 and S10e are still to big.

  • Side button wins, no contest.

  • S10e is flagship while p30 lite is midrange you can't compare them

  • Is thete anyone who have tried both side and rear fingerprint scanner? Which one is better and more relevant?

  • when will it launch in Pakistan?

  • There's a reason why big companies never released a phone with lens implementation like what Hwawei did. Mechanical zoom has very fragile system, same withat the pop out canera. They probably do not want to be bombarded with RMAs when the time comes. Hwawei was too aggressive to show its technology that it can compete with pioneers. Let's see how things will workout for them.

  • P30 series wins in camera zoom, everything else S10e wins.

  • Thanks for your info.

  • Personally, I admit that Huawei is one two steps ahead in technology or phone specs with good price. But I consider the User Interface of the phone as the main assessment. So I choose S10e over P30 lite. Okay, my opinion is truly arguable.

  • What you think about S10e compared to a Hua P30 lite? Much more battery, better cam - but no IP68... price is very different... your opinion?

  • Same screen size as S9, in a smaller body. Perfect !

  • You can use lower resolution, but the display still must draw all pixels. So you can only save some gpu power or not?

  • When you're a gamer, especially with today's popular mmorpg, the higher resolution often gives you advantage because you can see larger terrain. Although it depends on the game how they implement the resolution.

  • Do you think GSMArena adjusted the resolution for the review benchmarks instead of the default resolution?

  • Although it, any brands, has higher display resolution, we seldom set ours in the highest one as it consumes more battery and we never notice the differrence practically.

  • S10e = 1080 x 2280 ; S10/S10+ = 1440 x 3040

  • That advantage doesn't really exist since the stock resolution is Full HD on all 3 phones.

  • Is a cheaper but good budget flagship. It looks very very good in Prism Green.

  • S10 has slightly larger screen and higher screen resolution than S19e. It doesn't affect the visual impact, but it gives the S10e advantage in games and graphics apps. S10e has aditional 60-90% more frame rate (fps) than S10 and S10+. The telephoto lens only give S20 and S10+ slightly better blur/focus than S10e which is not noticeable until you have the comparative photos side by side.

  • What is the main difference between s10e vs s10 in camera . i liked s10e very much for its size but i m looking for better rare to click the image confused between this two , only telephoto lense is missing on s10e , but i m worried how will be the image quality on s10e can anyone help

  • How's the audio via headphones and main camera on this phone? Does this phone have root?

  • Does its battery last the whole day (your standard of use)? Is its camera better or as good as iPhone cameras? Is is fast ie. Good CPU?

  • Only two choices? If you are a "normal" user, not a gamer indeed, choose A8 2018. It is still worth the money although it lacks the fancy back 2nd camera. If you a just moderate gamer, let your money talk. If you a heavy - very heavy gamer, choose S10e. Please do not compare both, all is different but the brand.

  • Samsung galaxy s10e or Samsung galaxy a8? Is the s10e worth it for the extra cost? Pros and cons of both please!

  • Proud owner of this Mobile. It has the Perfect size to carry. Cheers.!

  • Samsung just launch A20e with similar screen size as S10e.

  • Notch means indentation, meaning, it has a part that goes inward. S10 series does't have that.

  • I clicked no notch and this phone appeared. I am not sure what you would consider a hole drilled in the screen for a camera I do not want to be.

  • s9+ is better 6.2inch screen good camera better battery

  • Good luck then! I think S10e is the best choice than S10/S10+ but its battery. Not bad, just a bit smaller mAH for heavy users.

  • Finally!!! a compact, one handed, full screen, proper flagship with no f.ck.n. notches! I have bought this phone (and ditched my old iPhone 6S plus, gave it to my mother :D) O man, this is such a powerhouse in compact, one handed package. I particularly like it because it is dual SIM. This phone doesn't heat up (someone asked this) O-hole is barely noticeable and non intrusive in everyday work. With proper "o-hole background" you don't even see it. The only downside is that battery cannot last 2 days with dual SIM setup. Samsung guys CHEERS, you nailed this one!! In my modest opinion this phone is worth every cent. Its no brainier if you look in the past and figure out Samsung changes design every two years. You can buy S10e now and you are good for next two years easy. Best regards from Belgrade

  • I have not been a Samsung fan since the S6 Edge came out and I never really liked the S8 or S9 curved display. Love the look but not the experience - I owned both and got rid of them ... but I just picked up a new S10e and I have to say I am really liking it so far. Lots of power, good ram, expandable storage, excellent cameras - not perfect but very good, and no notch and no curved sides. Hopefully Samsung gets better at keeping their phones updated .... So far it is a keeper ....

  • I have S9 which is great. But S10e has the same screen size of S9, more compact, no notch, 2 back cameras, faster processor, better battery...etc. S10e is much better and i will change my S9 for S10e, after three months when all the inevitable bugs have been discovered and fixed.

  • If you hate or dislike a curved design, it is okay. It is the state of design only, not related with performance.

  • Wait till 10th April for new A line up......perhaps something more affordable in compact if not go 10e

  • In benchmarks scores S10 has about 0.0005% higher than S10e. But when it comes to actual gaming or onscreen graphics rendering, S10e is about 80% faster/higher than S10 and S10+.

  • So far I know, the SD version is only in the US and maybe, some European countries. If another countries who get the only Exynos version and have heat problem, I am sure half of the world would block Samsung sales. For ordinary users and practical usage, we cannot actually notice the differences between two. The differences is on the paper only.

  • How about performance? Is it in par with s10?

  • I'm interested in buying the s10e but i've heard about the Exynos version that it gets kinda hot in graphic requiring games and starts throtteling? Is that true? Thx for you reply!

  • Go for s10e better than s9plus. Very old version. May be some games it may not support

  • S10e bad camera, LG G7 Beat S10e in camera test.

  • Curved glass yuk

  • Galaxy S8 is still the best one to beat with its current price. If you have more money to spend, go for S9.

  • I will buy because the size,ha ha...

  • I want to buy one of these two models, so I'm wondering who is better: Samsung S9+ Samsung S10e The following items are only important to me: 1. Battery 2. Selfie camera 3. Rear camera (Portrait mod, and HDR for ladscape) I would like to hear your personal experiences. Best regards

  • Thanks for your suggestion. Can i go for Samsung galaxy S8..??

  • If specs are a issue. ThenS10e . Or wait until A40 or A20e comes out. A40 is not much bigger than s10e. It's up to you.

  • I am planning to buy s10e and currently having Galaxy A3 (2017). The reason of changing the phone is limited internal memory and compact size. Should i upgrade to s10e or not..? Please help ?

  • Why you even compare?

  • this galaxy S10E or huawei P30 ?

  • class phone s10e i am truly happy to have this great fell glass finish is classick

  • I have been using this phone s10e for the last 2 weeks.I am very happy with phone's performance, screen, compact size and its interface. I strongly recommend this phone.

  • It's screen brightness. Checkout the reviews, its rating is excellent, one of the best.

  • Does someone konw the sunlight contrast ratio as it is not reported ?

  • S10e has exactly the same screen size as my S9, which is perfect. And flat screen is easier to use. Can't wait to buy it. First batch doesn't seem to have any bugs...wait and see.

  • Yes. S10 and S10+ only have better blur/depth of the background for live focus than S10e. Even the extra selfie camera of S10+ only serves as the same purpose. So overall, S10e has the best advantage in frames per second on games because of its lower resolution. To sum all, all internet reviews, S10e is indeed the best S10 variant.

  • so u basically saying tjhe s10e is more or like the same only different is size and the picture quality

  • Did march update lets see if it works quite a big update!

  • Oh one more thing, my friend has S10. He said that his phone can only shoot live focus in portrait mode. But this S10e can shoot live focus in either portrait or landscape mode becsuse it uses the wide angle lens.

  • Yeah, with 3 cams at the back would have made this phone perfect. But they probably did it as it is to make the difference more justifiable and to lower the cost more. But really, it's not a big difference unless you frequently use zooms. But always remember that mechanical/optical zoom has moving parts, so that's another hardware to take extra care of.

  • I totally agree. One strong reason that goes in favour of S10e is the resolution (I'm still on a 720p phone, let me tell you and my wife owns one with 1080p screen). Now, I'm scouting some second hand S10 from early buyers, but I wish S10e had 3 rear cams, that would've sealed the deal for me... By giving 2 cameras, Samsung kind of crippled it. That too instead of tele cam, they chose wide angle, which is a cheaper camera... given no autofocus & its quality. (One reason could be to differentiate from S9+, just my guess though)

  • I already have a $1500 laptop with Core i7 and GTX1060. Sometimes, I'm not just carrying my laptop, but phone, yes I carry all the time. That said, I agree with your message. Not much of a point playing multiplayer on phones...!

  • S10e has pre-installed protection on ALL SURFACES. Not only has it's screen has protection pre-installed, it also has clear laminate on all metal sides. Even the back has pre-installed laminate protection.

  • If you are really a gamer better spend the 750$ to build a pc.. gaming on a phone smh

  • As I said before, S10e's lower screen resolution, against S10 and S10+, IS A PRO, not a con. Check out the review here and see that Galaxy S10e wins in graphics benchmark fps against S10 and S10+. S10e = 57 VS S10/S10+ = 37 ------------ S10e = 40 VS S10/S10+ = 23 ----- S10e = 20 VS S10/S10+ = 13

  • To some extent, yes you're right.. Exynos obviously has better single core performance which is more noticeable in day to day tasks. But what if a gamer wants a Samsung? He always won't get enough fps because the screen has 5 megapixels, plus even the GPU is inferior to SD... We still can't conclude that Samsung will favour a region. If I remember, even the last gen Exynos was capable of 4K @ 120 fps camera recording (at an unknown quality level), but that didn't happen due to "equal"-istic reasons. Plus, using SD in USA is due to a 25 year old agreement or something, I once read.

  • Great upgrade from the S7. So nice having the fm radio. The google camera apk is a must. Wish they included a protector on the lens though.

  • If it is about the battery matter only, I predict there is no way back to removable battery, particularly for the flagship phones. Time will tell...

  • There is a preinstalled screen protector on my S10e.

  • The tiny beast bro

  • This is the perfect Samsung phone. Compact size, no dual cutout, premium materials and internals, flat screen.

  • we are running this limited time promotion to advertise our company and we also have all the major networks on our panel and our company’s reputation is quite good with them. So you have this option to avail this chance and get yourself a latest phone on a very cheaper rate

  • Who says removable batteries can't return? Flat screen, radio and aux out are back.

  • If you prefer removable battery just like old smartphone or keypad phones, you can buy the basic/entry level/ cheap (whatever its name) smartphone. As far as I know, no removable battery on the flagship phones (any brands) and even the mid-range ones.

  • not in S10e

  • Then the wireless charging and glass back finish will be never exist

  • I would rather have removable battery than waterproof glue

  • downs for me are the buttons placed on the left side and not snapd855 for europe. Dont want exynos. If not for the downs this phone look nice.

  • It's SD's current flagship chip so it's obviously not bad, maybe in 10yrs time.

  • Whether you believe it or not, Samsung was way ahead of you. Do you think they are willing to give only one region all the advantages of the unit leaving all other regions complaining that they got the short end? I don't think so. But if they ever have bias on giving a region the better deal, no doubt it will be given to Asian countries with South Korea obviously given the priority.

  • Ok. Accepted your point, hoping your info is correct. Even then, we're at a point where we can just say that "each chipset has its own merits." Although my opinion is that in such phones, GPU matters the most which puts the Snapdragon ahead. Today's displays can display more colors (10 bit as opposed to 8 bit), and more pixels (5 Megapixels in a 2K Screen). So, GPU starts gaining importance specially with increasing gaming and graphics/ app requirements.. What's multitasking & general processing in comparison, even Snapdragon 636 does that well enough... So, SD855 can't be bad...

  • I also came from S7. This S10e shoots better pics in low light than my S7. Try setting your pics to the highest resolution so that it will capture more detail and when you resize the pics they will have sharper image.

  • samsung s5 dude. It had IP67

  • Can't wait to upgrade to this phone. I'm using note 4 before and switching to A8 2018 because of the compact size and flatscreen so i can hold one hand easily. The A8 has a good performence i am surprised. Good battery life and great front facing camera too. So i'm hoping this phone can do a lot better.. well i guess it will, cause it's flagship afterall.

  • No but what you want to say about your upgrade?

  • I have upgraded from OnePlus 5t to s10e and I'm very happy with it. Flagship phone that is very comfortable to use due to it's size. The only downside for me is the battery life. OnePlus has way better battery life. With the s10e you may need to top up to get you through the day, depending on your usage, but I'm getting used to it.

  • The low light photo from S10e in compare tool is quite bad. It is worst than even Galaxy S7. It is blurred, without much detail and colors look off. I compared it against S7 (my current phone) and S9. It is in focus? Is it representative for the low light quality? Waiting for you kind reply. Tks.

  • Have anyone upgrade from OnePlus to S10e ?

  • endurance rating only 83h, not good in my opinion. phone should last continuous full day screen on in bad signal environment and still have juice to call when you have emergency need.

  • Can't wait to have this phone. Upgrading from the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge 128GB + 128GB microSD, I am so looking forward to owning the latest Sammy flagship with bigger screen than my current, updated specs and most importantly, FLAT SCREEN. Thank you, Samsung, for hearing your customers.

  • Does nowaday's Nokia have one ? None ! Besides, this phone has awesome Always on Display (AMOLED display is efficient)

  • Love the phone, but no notification light !...for missed messages, calls, or charging...my Nokia phone in 2000 had one...is that progress ?

  • Stop the negative comments and just enjoy the product. I have one. Its very reliable.

  • I think that the Galaxy S10e with the Snapdragon version is better in battery than the Exynos version

  • can you share the battery rating for the samsung galaxy s10e

  • That is unsolved problem. While all technologies come beyond our expectations, the battery technology is still far far far behind. The battery tech is still the same tech we are using since, at least, 10 years ago. It is only comes with more mAH.

  • Samsung and all companies either you make lifelong batteries which never expire as new inventions or you make batteries removable to change them easily when expired. You will buy more mobiles if you make batteries never expire or removable because many people hate to buy mobiles which their batteries will expire and difficult to change because they are non removable

  • LoL. Why was my response wrong? Your response is irrelevant to my reply. I never said something about not destroying the watetproofing. My response was to the comment that the main reason the battery was built-in is because to make the phone slim. Your response eas the first one pertaining to the waterproofing. hahaha

  • Wrong. If you could open your phone to change the battery then you would destroy the water proofing.

  • My phone 2yrs old battery still like day 1 ..... so good value!

  • Me neither, but it doesn't mean no one has bought batteries. I personally know many people who have purchased batteries because their phone's battery broke or died. Most of them even bought their 2nd battery replacement, so those are their 3rd battery.

  • The spare battery is surely drop in its power if it is not sold quickly. I assume that you are using the phone from 20 years ago, like me, how many time do you buy a spare battery? Me, I never buy a spare battery from 1999. My first mobile phone was Nokia 3210.

  • No. It's all to increase sales. No battery to buy means you have to buy a new phone. They also try to increase sales by releasing new flagship phones annually which used to be every 2 years.

  • I had an S5. It had removable battery. It was very slim, so you're wrong, that's not the real motivation.

  • It does, there is one version that exists with 8gb ram/ 256gb storage, no idea why gsmarena defaults to that version though especially when it isnt even available everywhere.

  • Yes 128GB version has 6GB and the 256GB has 8GB

  • No notification led what I know of. I use always on display.

  • Only digital but it's not bad, the second lens is wide angle and it's really nice to have.

  • No optic zoom (does not have the telephoto camera like S10 and S10+). No notification led.

  • Question. Does this one have a notification led? Or do you have the use the always on display to see something? I read that there was some circle around the camera in front that lights up when you have some incoming message/notification.

  • hi! Does anybody knows s10e s has optic zoom feature or not? Thanks..

  • Why does it say 16MP? The super wide lens has 16MP yes but the main camera (26mm) still has 12MP! I think this is a bit confusing

  • So likewise for Kirin is meant for Huawei only

  • I thought this had 6GB of RAM?

  • Most current phones are using non-removable battery just because it can make phone slim. That's it.

  • No one say that Exynos is better than SD. When comparing both in the same level of chipset, SD is better than Exynos. Exynos is designed by Samsung so it is fully fit for Samsung mobile phones exclusively. No one can see how they are so different, particularly in battery performance. They may be just little different in graphic performance.

  • Great thanks.

  • Exynos version's memory is 33% faster than SD's. That wide speed difference becomes more and more noticeable as S10 learns the user's usage behavior, especially in heavy use and multi-tasking. Benchmarks won't show this performance difference because no one uses their phone exclusively just for benchmarks.

  • Bummer that 8GB/256GB is only available in the US SD855 version. I live in the US, but will only consider the Exynos version. I would have paid the extra $100 for more storage & RAM, but I guess I'll just be happy with the upgrade over my Exynos S7. And that the S7 form factor/flat screen is back in play. Samsung, if you're reading this site, I would also have paid the extra $ for a 1TB version of the Exynos S10e. :)

  • SDM is better than Exynos in GPU power but CPU power imo Exynos and SDM are the same.

  • The higher MP doesn’t mean better camera

  • Most battery able to last 2 years, that the time most user replace their phone with new one, So there is no need to have user removable battery, anyway it's not a difficult task for a technician to replace the battery, unless you stay in a very backward country where is difficult to look for a trained technician.

  • He doesnt know what he's talking about. The exynos 9820 is just like the last year's, a unoptimized mess with a bizzare architecture. I've tested the exynos version inside the s10e, and to my stupor, the phone lagged and freezed in the ui and the stock apps. Immediately thought that this may be caused by thermal throttling, either because of the battery or the cpu, so I tested this in a cpu stress app. Indeed the cpu throttled to 500 MHz on the m4 cores and to 1.8 GHz on the other cores after not even 10 seconds, as the cpu temeprature raised to over 60°C ( the temp sensors werent working or couldnt be read by the app though, but this is the standard throttle temperature ).

  • What's there to prove? Snapdragon now has 12.5% lesser power footprint due to 7nm vs 8nm, plus the GPU is stronger on the Snapdragon which is a main requirement for a flagship. Although, Exynos leads in single core performance for now, but that's just one thing. Only Snapdragon 810 proved to be a disaster due to overheating issues, but what else? Also earlier, Exynos variants were stuck on 3G, whereas Snapdragon had moved on to 4G, for example, with Galaxy S6. Plus, SD has FM radio now. With the programmer's support too, I think its all glory for SD now.

  • The builtin battery is actually intentional to make us buy repeatedly. Just the same reason the made the release of flagship phones annual release, it used used to be every 2 years.

  • Samsung and all companies if you make all your mobiles with removable batteries you will sell more mobiles because many people are afraid to buy mobiles with non removable batteries which are difficult to change when expired .

  • Battery must be 5000 mA at least and must be removable to change it easily when expired.

  • All cameras must be 25 mp at least

  • Snapdragon has never been as good as Exynos. Prove me wrong

  • When it comes to battery performance exynos is better. But I’d rather go for gaming performance and sd is always better than exynos by far on this.

  • S10e is a much better deal than iPhone XR.

  • I dont undertand, what I know is snapdragon has two suppliers either by qualcomm or by exynos, is my information correct?

  • Design is compact....this dimension should be introduced to budget phones also...waiting for it

  • Negative, Snapdragon is much better than Exynos and by far

  • Only S10 variant worth to buy.

  • i am very impressed with this phone in all aspects and I am glad samsung put a pre installed screen protector that you wont hardly noticed!

  • Battery last only 7-8 hours in normal use Last phone S7 EDGE battery last double.

  • Thanks PA7. I think I'll go with Exynos then. As I will buy from EU, it'll make thinks alot easier.

  • Overall, SD is better than Exynos. But when the chipset is combined with Samsung phones, Exynos is better than SD particularly in the battery performance.

  • In my opinion, if you come from the previous Galaxy flagship, at least S8, it will waste money by buying S10e or even S10/S10+. I do not say that S10 series is bad/worse than before, they all are the best in this time. The s10 family is only for people who still have S7, S6 or the non flagship one.

  • Thanks. But many/most on that list are either 1) already discontinued, 2) not that compact, 3) not flagships to begin with, or a combination of those attributes. I'm talking about who is still making compact flagships right now. Pixel 3 - yes. Samsung 10e - yes. Even Sony seemingly has left the building as there is yet no successor to the XZ2 compact.

  • I came from S7 flat. It has almost the identical size of this S10e. S7 has much higher resolution ang smaller screen size, so it has much higher pixel density or PPI than S10e. I also use VR glaases. I can trll you that there is no visual pixel difference since this is not as big as computer monitors are.

  • I do like this phone with it's flat screen and same size as my s8. I want to see it side by side with an s10 to compare both screens to see whether there is much difference in the resolution before making a decision. If only both phones had the same screen the decision would be far simpler. I wonder if anyone has taken the trouble to compare them.

  • actually tbh i left samsung phone since s6 edge, because i prefer dual app n sim support phone. i moved to huawei and xiaomi but since i heard nowaday samsung already introduced the dual apps support,im with no hesitate to move for samsung phone but eventuallly battery kinda bad.but no worries it does support fast charging. for me battery management still bad compare to my xiaomi flagship with bigger capacity.

  • Not really the Chinese manufacturers don't know how to do a "compact " phone. Kind of ironic Chinese people height average are short in comparison to Europeans and americans? So in average they should have shorter fingers but they like enormous screens!??! It's ironic really!

  • Same screen size as my S9, and more compact. Definitely my next phone. And it is true that flat screen are easier to use. I bet the chineses will soon launch a compact phone when they see the success of S10e

  • The Galaxy S9 actually has better screen resolution & higher pixel density than the S10e, which lacks WQHD. Not a deal breaker for me though. At 150 grams with 5.8" display and insanely fast chip, I really like this new Galaxy.

  • According to Phone Finder, about 25 models out there:

  • Soo where is the review!

  • Underhanded move Samsung.... only 3,000mAh

  • Waiting for the review of this beauty... Really looking forward to a manageable flagship. I really don't understand why are we forced into bigger and bigger screen sizes... people who purchase these phones obviously have enough money to own a computer as well, or at least a tablet...

  • I support. Similar information. On all programs 3000 !!! I tested other phones, it shows everything correctly. Samsung is cunning ... Even here they managed to deceive.

  • Can anyone confirm that this S10e indeed has 3,100mAh battery? My Exynos international version only shows 3,000mAh in any app I check.

  • I feel should been priced at $500 since lower model smaller! $1000 to steep!......

  • Would love to see a comparison between the Snapdragon and the Exynos version... I don't care about performance (in my opinion the two SoC perform so good that only the benchmarks will notice a difference), but I'm much more interested about how the two guys handle the power consumptions. I already know from other devices that the SD 855 has an unbeatable performance/ power consumption ratio, but the question is how far will Exynos lie behind it.

  • S10+ has better benchmark score than S10e by less than 0.05%.

  • Best phone ever!!!

  • Sry my bad. It is called Adaptive Battery and no, it is not enabled by default - you have to enable it in settings. That is why I am asking.

  • "I missed nothing from the S10+ after testing the S10e for a week. If anything, I'm super annoyed that Samsung blessed the S10e with a fast and reliable fingerprint sensor and saddled the S10 and S10+ with an inferior in-display fingerprint reader."

  • S10 is better by less than 0.05%. I saw a comparative score, I just forgot which benchmark app but the S10e score 10,300+ points while the S10+ scored 10,700+, so S10 should be lower.

  • no

  • as peformance it is better than 10 ?

  • Any chance we get a review soon? Please-please :)

  • Had it since launch and it a step up from my iPhone 7 nice size oled screen good also dimensions wise same as Samsung s7 think this going to be my daily driver from now as price was a factor and features Apple was good but too expensive and features are behind the times .there screens let them down lcd and no usb C .samsung why do we not get Qualcomm chipset in Europe ? This would be a good 5 g handset it already dual sim like the return to flat screen also got a good case from iblason to protect it only you got to get from amazon USA world shop not available in uk yet iblason supacase it good have used these since otterbox got too expensive iblason on amazon recommended s5e tab will probably be my next purchase ?? Price a factor??

  • Price-wise, yes, better than all those three.

  • Buy a s10e instead of note 9.

  • You mean adaptive battery. Its enables by default in s10e

  • Sony

  • Sharp aquos r2 compact. With all jacks and bells. No decent reviews thought.

  • is it better than iphone XR and galaxy s10 and 10+?

  • Did you enable AI battery or not? It is supposed to learn your habits and kill apps that you don't use often.

  • Pixel 3.

  • Aside from Samsung with this model and Apple, who is still making compact flagships? Anyone?

  • Can we please get a review of this phone? Thank you.

  • i went from iphone 7 to samsung s10e - (i dont like notches on iphones). This phone is fantastic.

  • is it big you think compact??

  • The Nano Fixit warranty bundled with this unit is a scam. An app is needed to register the insurance. After it got my personal detail it won't ket me register the number on the scratch card. It says invalid card ID. They will probably just use the email address to bombard us with ads. 😡

  • The phone *can not* be priced $150 less than the S10 which adds: 1. Bigger and curved screen 2. Newer gorilla glass (6 vs 5) 3. Better fingerprint reader (and better location) 5. More RAM memory 6. Extra rear camera 7. Bigger battery Those features should make at least a $250 difference. If you ask me I'm pretty sure Samsung makes much higher margins on the 10e. I expect a price drop for this version if sales will be slow and I don't see who will go with this version with that price difference unless they strongly prefer the smaller size.

  • Galaxy S10e is much better alter of OnePlus and iphone XR.

  • Than what's the name of the dead pixels in the screen?

  • How is the battery life? How many hours does your battery last for normal use, screen on in Snapdragon?

  • You mean triple slot Go with mid range device. They have dual sim+expandable memory. Only Samsung provide Hybrid Sim option flahship with a headphone jack. Samsung listen to their Customer. They also dropped Notch

  • can confirm ~5 hours heavy usage of app install, messengers, photos, video recording, youtube. screen 50% brightness on auto dim, lte, wifi on. gps, nfc off. I'd say in reality at least 50% better than my old S6.

  • Hello! I do not know what turned off, but now in standby mode at night (from 01.00 to 09.00) loss of charge was only 2%. Hooray!!! Just fantastic! So the whole thing in the software. We are waiting for updates ...

  • "s10e having a 3100mAh battery it is more than enough" 5 hours of SOT from mobilarena.hu and 7 hours test running at the phonearena.com's battery benchmark.

  • as a user i would say i am a heavy user. i use my phone alot throughout the day. whether its for college, work or just just general use. i use my phone quite alot. and yes the battery on the note 9 is significantly bigger at 4000mAh but it also has to be able support that screen size. with the s10e having a 3100mAh battery it is more than enough

  • Are U a heavy user or Just normal user

  • Thanks for replying How is the battery and the reason I want to go for the note 9 is the battery

  • i had gotten this phone yesterday and all i can say is finally! i am not a fan of the phablets. I truly enjoy the smaller phones. this phone is perfect for me in every way. it truly packs a punch in all aspects. the model i have comes with 6gbs of ram and 128 gbs of storage. the battery life is great will easily last all day. and the quick charge is amazing as well. feel free to reply here with any questions :)

  • not at all. at first i felt it would have but how samsung has worked with the "holepunch" camera is perfect because it doesn't effect any aspect of use

  • for me so far it has been great. the fast charge is crazy. i jumped from 49% to full in about 40 minutes.

  • depends on how big of a screen you want. i got this phone yesterday so any questions you have just let me know

  • When will Samsung S10e launch in Pakistan?

  • Hello guys I need your help s10e and note 9 which one should I buy they are almost the same amount in my country thanks guys

  • Review, pls!!!
