@ dkp: hey just try it.. 1st go to internet on ur mb. then go to menu option then tools. then options- connections- click on automatically detece settings then choos wap network.. then go to settings- connections-GPRS then if it is showing mobile office .. then it is done.. :)

if any one have a problem regarding internet, so for it solution - 1stly set the opretor setting as ur network in setting - connection - more - operator setting. then after doing it, check the proxy as it correct, then go into wireless manager and switch off the network one thim for few minute than on tne network. by doing this all chack the internet is mostly 99% working. thanks. mht7070.

I used this phone long time. I faced minor trouble which did not match with you. You faced few problem which I am not faced problem such as Opera 8, You tube Video, WMV -those everything is OK to me. I think that you are unable to operate i200. You are software engineer so that you can not claim without any justification. You have mentioned such as Nokia, Sony Ericsion etc, yes, all of each brands are renowned but samsung also. Windows mobile is a essential device for few users. Regional language like bengali, urdu, hindi, can not be supported without WM. Sorry, Nokia have no windows mobile.For actual user of mobile samsung is the best one specially Windows mobile which have WM 6.1 in i200. Am I wrong or right ? This thing is a piece of sh*t!! I should never have bought it , I've always said that Samsung phones are crap and this is the first one i've bought and they've proven me right! Avoid this like the plague, in fact get a Nokia, Motorola or a Sony Ericsson. I hate Samsung with a passion, the people who made this need to go hang themselves for wasting my money. I'm a software engineer and cannot for the life of me see what was the idea behind this. Media player can't handle mp4s like they say, the headset is defective, the java virtual machine is piss that keeps crashing my apps!And the USB cable works when it wants to. As a phone this device is as useful as a three-legged table... I jus wanna go on and on but first I'm gonna throw this thing over the fence and hope it falls straight to hell!Damn Microsoft for a useless operating system (Windows Mobile) in fact Vista is just as stupid!

Configure your GPRS setting such as Name of connection, apn address. For setting Go to Setting > Connections > GPRS > Add New > Write connection name > write apn address etc > done. For Laptop or destop browsing by this device. Go to internet > Internet sharing > Select Connection type such as USB or Bluetooth you have to select USB > Select connection option which you previously has been set in GPRS > Press ON > Connect your data cable between Laptop and device. I use the i200 with an external bluetooth GPS (adapt350) and McGuider GPS software. Works fine. The only problem is that a cannot key in any location or zip code using the keypad. The i200 appears on the list of supported mobiles of McGuider. Does this only work with mobiles having a touchscreen or is it possible to have some kind of virtual keyboard on the i200 ?

xt9 is default for text. No need to change for keeping it. For auto locking of keypad- press "Start"- enter "Setting", press "Security"-"Device lock"-Tick on empty box and set the time- enter your password-Confirm password. Finally press Done. Now your device will be auto locked after setting period.

Own about week, really best for its price, only few minor notes: almost all tasks stays in background and using memory, so You should kill them from task manager time to time, also not a lot of software for this OS distro at this time, even TC didnt work with it. But in general amazing phone, 3G and videocall looks fine, also acceptable player quality for its price.

Make sure to note the limited 3G support this phone has: HSDPA 2100 As an example, I think T-Mobile is the only US carrier that is using this band so if you are a, say, AT&T customer you won't get 3G, only Edge. The disadvantages of this phone in my opinion -Battery is not bad but comes for 2 days after moderate usage -very low space on the device, so if you install many apps that uses \windows\ folder in device,better luck.(Google maps fill my device memory instead of memory card) -also outlook synchronization fills device memory instead of memory card(no option to change that) -it takes a few seconds to connect to a call after pressing the green button. -no seperate speaker on this phone for hands free conversations. -the earpiece volume is average, and you will definitely miss the ringtone on crowded places. -vibration is average.But ok. -Display is very Good in indoors.But not good under sunlight.But still readable. Apart from these one of the good entry level Windows mobile -good processor and both sound quality from included headset. -Excellent video quality(TCPMP -far better than HTC -comparable to ipod nano)

Ok, then it was true as the Samsung support said, that it takes a few sec for the phone to start the phone application when you answer the phone. Overall I'm very satysfied with the phone, but I miss a notesapplication which can sync with Outlook or Exchange. I've installed Smartphonenotes to fix that, it's a pity that it doen't come with the phone from the beginning, in WM6 pro it is.

Do you mean 1 sec on the timer in the phone? Or 1 sec i real time? I am connected after 1 sec on the timer, but it takes about 1,5 sec before the timer starts. That make it 1 plus 1,5 sec =2,5 sec.

I've had my i200 for three weeks now, and I'm very satisfied with the phone. I use it as an extension of my laptop with sync with Exchange which works wery well, much better than any Symbian phone. Symbian claim that they sync with Exchange, but not as good as a Windows Mobile phone. There is one thing to complain about: When I get an incoming call, it takes about 2-3 seconds after I hit the green button until the call is fully connected. Samsung says that it is normal, but I have never experienced that connection-time before, on any phone. Anyone else that have this problem? Thanks! Kent

i own a retail shop for mobile phones, ever since the windows mobile smartphone came out i never ever look back for my main phone. simply because : 1. It integrates with computer running windows 2. Simplicity in find contact. (no other phone could match the speed) 3. Internet connection for emailing and browsing 4. with JEYO, you could sms from your pc and back up your sms. You could say that there is other phone can do those, but WM smartphone is my choice.:)

Simply kooool!!! Phone Book in memory card. Great innovation. Now I dont have to transfer my contact list rom cell to cell and it and the record will be safe in memory card. Another advantage is that this set is windows operated. I m waiting for this piece so i can get rid of bulky Nokia
