Xiaomi Redmi K20 - User Reviews

  • Yeah, my global version does.

  • What is the maximum charging supported by redmi k 20 ?

  • Does it support 27 watt or higher charging ?

  • Does K20 support moon mode?

  • Does anyone have an issue with WiFi in this phone? I am getting pretty bad signal in comparison to my Redmi Note 7, the difference is one or two bars sometimes, I am connecting to a 2.4Ghz Network Modem, I have my WPS & WPS2 settings to both as mention as a fixed in a Reddit post, tried different modems in different areas, I have restarted the phone and tried different settings and all with no luck.

  • phones with sd730 @ online stores (lowest) lenovo z6 6/64...200$ 6/128....219$ realme x2 6/64...219$ 6/128...266$ redmi k20 6/64....256$

  • yeah realme x2 its mix of note 8 pro & k20 its somehow you can call it the coming model REDMI K30

  • i wonder why should someone preffer this to realme x2 realme x2 VS redmi k20 230$....256$ online store 2november sd730G....sd730 dedicated sd card...no sd card at all 64Mp Quad cam Eis....48Mp triple cam 32Mp selfie...20Mp selfie dolby sound.... 30W fast charge...18W fast charge realme also have very good update & security patch last security patch & update its for 5october

  • Hi, here says that K20's display is super AMOLED but i've seen other sites that only say it's AMOLED and since mi 9t is practically the same as K20 and it has an AMOLED display, is the information here correct? Does anyone know if K20 is really super AMOLED?

  • Im going to buy k20 next weeks,😊

  • Look at the design and battery capacity of the rivals. And also, buy a nokia device if u are okay to replace the battery within an year.

  • Different screen sizes (6.9 vs 6.4) and redmi is the budget branch of Xiaomi, so you still have a Xiaomi

  • @beautiful sunday I have the K20 with the global rom. Works perfectly fine, the rom it came installed with was 9T Pro variant, even tho its a K20 model. Has multilang and all the google store services necessary. Works like a charm, highly recommend, but do check if the bands in your country will let you have access to 3G and LTE first.

  • I have the N7+. Its screen is one of the best LCDs I've ever used. Very deep blacks. Amazing build quality. But their charging port is big rubish. After 7 months of usage, I have problems with charging, it doesn't want to charge so I have to reinsert a lot of times. Also, Android Pie is not optimized for Nokia 7 plus, the battery became worse after updating and it lacks a lot of features. But still, the phone is one of the best I've ever had, especially the camera with Gcam!

  • Display quality overall is really good at this price and the color accuracy is incredible, it surpasses the Galaxy note10+ in the color accuracy.

  • Did anyone here flash their K20 to global rom? Does it enhance the experience? Thanks

  • Can anybody tell me if the display quality and color accuracy are good or bad or ok ?

  • 240Euro with those specs and it's overpriced? what phone is in the right price with such high specs as this one then?

  • Overpriced and ugly notchy nokia or Hangsung with exynos or mororola (lenovo) with almost no updates and support at all? Seriously??? U better stay away from so called CHINESE brands. And don't even consider OnePlus.. I m having friends owning OnePlus, redmi devices for more than 1.5 years and still working like a charm. Please don't misguide. I had switched from Samsung and now a moto z2 play user who is waiting for the 9 or atleast 8.1 for months.. no updates make it arm 64, hence no gcam. My new phone is gonna be redmi for sure.

  • K20 will be more battery efficient considering it has a lower tier processor

  • which is battery efficient for watching offline video/movies, is it the K20 or the K20 Pro? I'm planning to purchase either K20 or the Pro Version but I need a phone which is battery efficient while I'm watching Movies that I already downloaded. thanks

  • But the rear cameras, the performance and the build quality are much better

  • The camera fearure is lesser than oppo f11pro and Vivo v15pro selfie is also not good in slow motion it is blinking

  • Having used the Mi Mix 3 (before the OLED panel started leaking randomly, never getting another Xiaomi again), the 191g weight of this is nothing compared to the ~220g weight of that phone. Still, it didn’t seem that heavy, and they are both the same screen size. So you will have no problem with the weight of the phone.

  • when redmi k20 will receive andriod 10 & MIUI 11

  • my friend you r invite ban from US due these feuters in this phone.

  • It's too heavy for a 6.4 inch screen.

  • The Mi 9T’s display is amazing is what I’m trying to say; there isn’t much of a difference between smoked and super smoked. Either way it’s better than an LCD lol

  • Clearly you're either an egoist poco fanboi or you've use a faulty device. I used poco for one year and recently i bought mi 9t and i totally love it. Imo it has way better display and battery endurance than my poco. Not to mention the camera also are good. And better with Gcam. So excuse me, wtf are you talking about actually?

  • No, I’m asking about K20 (not the pro variant). It seems that the display on K20 (not pro) is Super AMOLED unlike the one in Mi 9T. thanks for the response :)

  • I mean you could just use gcam. With gcam, pictures come out looking like pictures taken on a note 9.

  • Slightly punchier colors on the k20 pro, but both displays are really good, and I doubt you’d know the difference between the two just by looking at them.

  • Check out the new Redmi Note 8 Pro. It may be better for you than this.

  • K20 or Mi 9T (spec sheet shows that the display on the K20 is Super AMOLED and the display on Mi 9T is “just” AMOLED, is there noticeable difference?)

  • Hi I feel if Real me is following up Xioami & releasing phoneS accordingly to beat the competition then XIOAMI should also learn from Realm. Just like what RealmE did in Real me X Xioami should do the same with K20 & K20 Pro. They should give better 64 MP camera remove pop up selfie camera & give support of SD CARD. Surely this will attract more customers that are regretting these phones due to these features.

  • Clearly one of two things going on here. 1. You've never seen or used a K20/9T, and are recycling someone else's flawed opinion 2. You've used a faulty unit. My K20 works great, cameras are just fine. Compares very similarly with the iPhone X I had before, but has better battery by a factor of two. Yes, I went from an iPhone X to the K20, and I'm perfectly happy.

  • Don't forget ugly notch

  • Vey bad phone hanging problem in pub g it has touch problem in every k20 and k20 pro both and portrait mode photos are not good disappointed by Xiaomi

  • Phone is shit, don't buy this. Camera quality is bad, Front and back. Triple camera is gimmick, pics are not even usable. Pocofone is a lot better, if you sacrifice Amoled for LCD. Screen and battery is only the MSP.

  • Does it have always onn dosplay????? Or any led notification light????

  • Very nice mobile k20.. good saund good size.good bettery good pubg

  • using mi phones for last 4 years , recently used apple xs max and samsung a70 also, using k20 / mi 9t now.have to say be it battery life ,signal strength, sound quality, gaming mi has definite edge. But mi displays are not as vibrant as samsungs but are better than apple

  • i hav nokia 7+ and overheats on gaming

  • It single. If your device is blue, notification will be in blue color

  • it depends on the colour variant you buy if you purchase a carbon black or a flame red variant u get red coloured led but if u buy the glacier blue variant u are provided with blue coloured led.

  • Does anyone know if the notification ring on the pop up camera is an RGB one or a single coloured one? If anyone can test it and tell me please.

  • What phone offers a better camera? The camera sensor imx 582/586 is one of the most powerful camera and even competes with the flagships from google, samsung and apple but those phones have 3 or 4 times the price. If you have issues just use gcam, the stock camera is pretty great also but a little wierd to adjust to get the best photos.

  • None of Chineese phones have that quality of cameras pictures, people expect too much on low priced phones, want the same quality parts than more expensive ones, If you really need picture quality and better batteries better look at other brand.

  • very costly

  • Iam taken new Redmi K20 pro 6GB/128GB varient (Flame Red) on 1 at August . The camara clarity is not meets better as the specified 48-13-8 MP Hardware specifications. Battery performance also draw back . 4000 MAH battery but only single day getting it

  • My data roaming is not working..when I am out of state...why....even my data roaming option is... always

  • Yes it is available.

  • One more thing: To be fair seems most of devices are O. K. not defective.

  • Have come to same conclusion seems some of them are deffective some don't. Sending on one's own if purchased from other country -naturally.

  • This only proves they are not waterproof. Nobody said they were. Chinese brands more faulty -possible. But you need statistics to prove it. And then it can happen to any brand that's what warranty is for.

  • f/2.2 selfie f/1.8 main -same used in other similar phones. Worse camera than competitors -at this price point? Which exactly do you mean?

  • Nokia makes amazing phones. Don't be biased. I've yet to find a phone that makes better portraits than Nokia 7 Plus even in twice the price range. Their phones show true power of the chipsets that are used in them. Nokia 8 with SD 835 offers better PUBG gameplay (Ultra HD, Extreme FPS, no lag, no heat) than Pocofone F1 with SD 845 (maximum FHD, Extreme FPS, heats up after 2 hours). Nokia 7 Plus also outperforms Redmi Note 7 by a huge performance gap. Both of them have SD 660. Nokia 8.1 outperforms other SD 710 devices as well.

  • f/2.2, 0.8µm = bad selfie camera. Avoid taking pictures in low light - maybe even in moderate lighting. f/2.2 can't capture good details and is especially bad in low light. 0.8um further makes the matter worse. Main camera is decent with f/1.8 (not bad), 1/2 (good) but 0.8um (too low) won't let it take good picture in low light. Not recommended for anyone that wants good camera phone. Overall, its camera is below average than its competitors, but it offers telephoto and ultra wide camera so it's more feature rich at least.

  • Is there anti-flicker option in menu? (DC dimming present) Thanks.

  • You should be able to turn it off here: Settings/ Additional settings/ Front camera effects (I don't have phone)

  • K20 support of LTE bands is limited, look up what bands do you need and compare with phone support. If it doesn't support, you may have to use Mi 9T which is global version of K20.

  • Yes' the microphone is in par with the other smartphones'

  • What about k20 vs pocophone f1

  • I am planning to buy Redmi K20 in India. My question is, will this phone support other countries frequencies (signals) as well ? (like 4G, LTE). Especially in USA. Please advise. I have seen may times that Redmi releases Global and country specific models. Thanks, Venu

  • Everyone let me ask an question. Did the Microphone of K20 Phone BAD? I intend to buy this one to use. Hope Everyone answer my question soon. THANKS EVERYONE!!

  • Going on sale in India today at Flipkart and Mi.com

  • Bought a Pocophone F1 (300€) almost a year ago. It has resisted rain, a few drops on wood and concrete and still works like a charm. (I also never really used a case.) Also, why did you need to go to a service center to update your phone? And why are you posting this twice?

  • Where have you ordered it from?

  • Is this one fully laminated display?

  • Caution online buyers: Mi is delivering defective products which you have to send back yourself incurring heavy cost.Mass scam coming beware so ask from Mi in written before purchaseThat After delivery if the product isdefective will they arrange pickup or you have to send it

  • I had a Xiaomi mi max 3 and I was frustrated: a lot of advertising and a lot of conflictuel problems between Xiaomi applications and google's one....🤪 Does this phone has the same problems ...? Can I fix them 🤔

  • Only the pro version has it. Not this one

  • YES, COD is available.

  • Can I get the K20 pro by COD?

  • Does this have dual band GPS (L1+L5) or not? as lots of website are claiming it does but there is no proof of dual band GPS working anywhere so far ???

  • Nokia and Motorolla are shit companies Samsung is still somewhat good. And someone's phond got damaged due to rain its their fault mi never gave them the ip rating for being waterproof or anything and as per repair every company charges huge amount of repair cost for their smartphones just google and brands name and you will know

  • it might if the network bands match and if you buy seperate sim card for your new phone in ireland :)

  • Please complete your sentence

  • My suggestion is that if you are buying a cellphone above INR 15000, better select it from Nokia, Samsung or Motorola and avoid buying anything from MI, Oppo or Vivo. I recently went to MI store to get my phone software updated, and I saw that 8 out of 10 people had only visited as their phone got damaged in rain, and the only reply they got was to repair the handset without warranty, cost equivalent to half the price of the phone. I too carry my phone in rain but I have brought a special pouch to protect it, so my phone never gets wet. I know that MI is the number one brand in the country but trust me, there are good alternatives available to it. Secondly, if you are buying an expensive phone, you too would want it to function for a longer period of time. I am not saying that all Chinese phones are faulty and all conventional brand phones are good, but probability of a faulty phone in Nokia, Samsung or Motorola will be less than that of Chinese brands. And if you still want to buy expensive phones from Chinese brands, better not use them roughly and treat them with fragility. I also have Redmi 6 64GB, I have a screenguard for it, rear cover skin, back cover and a pouch to keep it in. Although I play games and watch videos, but I do it moderately, and avoid overcharging of my device. Rest is all your choice.

  • My sincere request to all new cellphone buyers is that, if you are looking for some good cellphone between range INR 12000 plus, better go for brands like Nokia, Samsung or Motorola, and avoid these Chinese brands like MI, Oppo, Huawei or Vivo. The reason behind this is, I just had a visit to MI service center to get my phone software updated, and 8 out of 10 people were only complaining about cellphone malfunction due to rainwater, and the service center people were suggesting them repairs worth half price of the phone. Secondly, if you are investing that much hard earned money of yours, you too would want a phone having durability, to be used over longer period of time. I have Samsung Galaxy J2 2015, its even working now, but as it had 1GB RAM and 8GB internal its too less for me. I know that MI is the number one brand in Indian market as of now, but trust me, in this price range of INR 15000 to 25000, you have various other better options from conventional brands, and if you ask me, make it an iron rule to buy from Nokia, Samsung or Motorola only. I am not saying that all Chinese brands are bad, and all will run faultly, and all conventional brands are good and will function normally, but better to select from

  • Its a security feature,so you don't click secret photos

  • No memory card slot.Aweful

  • competition with one plus seven

  • Many of us had already estimated a budget to buy k20 or k20 pro and have been waiting for it for a month. Now we can't believe at how terribly they've overpriced the phone. People aiming to go for cheaper alternative will most likely go for Realme X or even Pocophone instead of Redmi k20.

  • What is the actual thickness in the middle? Doesn't it feel too thick? 8.8mm is thickness measured where? Anyone maybe have actual dimmensions drawing?

  • Redmi K20 is indian variant of Mi 9t

  • Get set ready! POCO F2 is Coming to India Very Soon!

  • Find it too hard to believe? That's probably because you're accustomed to below standard performance of MIUI devices. My friend asked me for a good device for PUBG a year or two ago, so I suggested Nokia 8. But even I wasn't expecting it to handle PUBG on Ultra HD. If you're a skeptic, grab a Nokia 8, install PUBG and test it yourself. Better than being in denial about your favourite brand/OS. It's your money going to waste, not mine.

  • lol keep dreaming, Nokia 8 can't do that

  • Does anybody know how to turn off that sound when the selfie camera is going out?

  • If I buy this phone from india will it work in Ireland, does it come with an indian rom or are there software differences?

  • Thats because poco f1 have a cooling system, different from the other xiaomi.. mi is so easy to heat up even when I'm streaming on youtube

  • Ok

  • Overpriced in India :(

  • Super AMOLED touch screens have good touch responsiveness. It should be fine in that regards. You're looking for a phone with Super AMOLED Touch screens, FHD resolution and at least 400 ppi if you want similar touch experience. But the way glass layers are placed also matters. So I'd say it'll be better to go for a Samsung phone if getting S6 like touch experience is your top priority. And I really don't recommend *trusting* Xiaomi for quality. It has the worst reviews regarding quality out of all popular brands. Some of their phones do turn out to be decent but a lot of them have widely reported hardware problems.

  • Xiaomi phones are slow because of MIUI. It takes too much RAM and processing power, which lowers device's overall performance, battery endurance and cause heating. This is true for all other OS too, like Realme, Vivo, Huawei - but MIUI is worst of them all. Pocofone F1 has SD 845. I don't think you understand how powerful that chipset is. FHD graphics in PUBG is supposed to be too easy for SD 845. Even SD 660 phones like Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 can handle that - while Redmi Note 7 with same chipset can't (people play on smooth graphics on it). Max Pro M2 even lasts 7 hours in PUBG on those settings and Max Pro M1 can last up to 8 hours on medium graphics. While redmi note 7 lasts 4-4.5 hours. M1 & M2 have stock android. For comparison, look at Nokia 8. It has SD 835 which is weaker than Pocofone F1. Yet, it can play PUBG on Ultra HD graphics, Extreme FPS and Colorful Style - *butter smooth* without heating. That's maximum possible graphics PUBG has to offer. Did I mention it lasts about 5 hours on those settings? It only has a 3000 mAh battery! Guess which OS Nokia 8 has? Stock Android. Stock Android and Android One are most stable, performance oriented and best battery endurance OS out of all. Do you see your pocofone f1 is actually under-performing? It's still a good phone though - if you can get in same price as it is in India. So far I only liked Pocofone F1 the most from Xiaomi.

  • Super Bro...! I agree..!

  • Dude don't consider all the Xiaomi phone will heat or lag, you May have used low specifications phone so you decide like this, I have pocophone f1 I never seen my getting heat or lag I play pubg in full hd still the phone gose to warm and no lag at all, buy high-end spec phone from any brand you don't face these issue

  • this phone is having any heating or hanging issue ,most of MI phones will get heat once we use IN , or videos ! Any update what the prize in India

  • So what would be the best site to buy this phone, I live in the US and Amazon does not sell it any trustworthy sites please? Thanks!

  • Is redmi k20 support 4g+ in INDIA

  • Hi ive been using samsung galaxy S6 for the last 3years i got used to its luxurious touch and been obssesed with build quality ever since, A seller asked me 460$ for the S9 and suggested me this phone instead for 350 im a bit sceptical about chinese brands therefore there durabilty. Can i trust this brand ? what about camera quality ?

  • Bookings for the phone have started in India on the online sites

  • Is this phone support Volte or Not......Any one tell me

  • Nope, because of pop up camera, and 3.5mm headphone jack it does'nt have IR

  • Does it have ir blaster

  • No, it dont have

  • No

  • Does it have expandable membory (SD Card)?

  • It does have a DAC embedded in it. So you can expect high audio quality from K20.

  • Hi, help me guys regarding the audio performance of k20 as I have heard it is having Hi Res audio, I want a good phone having best audio dac, how is the audio quality via headphone? Thanks....

  • hi guys. does have this phone a voice recorder app whith good quality?

  • Fortnite to! OwO

  • Face unlock can be cheated by a photo. So face unlock is useless

  • Is the notification will appear once received text messages?

  • i would suggest 730 as it has a powerful cpu compared to 845,but 845 still has a beter gpu. In both processors you could play PUBG mobile with high graphic setting.

  • Snapdragon 730 is better than 835 in almost everyway. And 835 is older. Older phones are very less likely to get software updates in a timely manner.

  • i would choose 9t, unless you need very big storage (with SD) or slightly better performance (it's even arguable if 845 is better than 730). 9t is better at almost everything

  • 1080p@960fps is real ?!

  • Pocophone F1 or K20(mi9t)?

  • Is this phone available in Europe? Where can we buy it?

  • Its storage is bigger than Mi 9T and its price is less than Mi 9T.

  • because bigger battery takes more space and is heavier...

  • tbh face unlock is just a gimmick, you cant use it when its dark, you cant use it if you are wearing sunglasses or some head cover and it even uses more battery to keep the camera on for it to be functioning. Most people uses fingerprint unlock instead.

  • pop-up camera = no face unlock. no buy. also, why phones tend to be so big and heavy?? make smaller lighter phones!!!

  • Can anyone help me to choose between K20 and OnePlus 5t ? Which one you recommend at all aspects and especially for gaming (Snapdragon 835 vs Snapdragon 730) Appreciate really anyone who can help

  • K20 is far superior it has wide& telephoto cam and advance audio dac for loud speaker

  • Some website mentioned that K20 have Super AMOLED

  • You will not see many differences but you can see YouTube videos if you really want to know if there is. But just staring at the phone display, you can't see any difference.

  • k20pro has super amoled k20 has amoled it is noticable? or almost the same??

  • AliexpressBangood..

  • They are not in the same price bracket and therefore it doesn't make sense to compare the two,the S9 Plus is far superior but at the same time it is twice as expensive..

  • which is better mi9t or s9plus

  • There is a notification LED light. It's set on top of the phone, on pop-up camera. you can see a little circle on camera on some photos.

  • Why isn't the K20 available in the UK?

  • MI 9T is only pro version, and it just came to europe so the price will go down a lot in the next few weeks

  • Hello Guys, does it have a notification led for missing calls? Do we have some more info about it? Thank you.

  • The k20 Should be about 300 euro while The pro Should be 360 to 400 euro

  • which one has better camera , mi 8 or redmi k20?

  • For some people's pop up camera

  • Which are the disadvantages of this phone?

  • Xiaomi Mi 9T (not pro version) costs in Poland around 422 euros, extremely disappointing price (almost the same as Xiaomi Mi 9).

  • Battery endurance?

  • Better search for options and then buy a suitable model I think Mi's online store will be preferable.

  • Either one is okay. If you are on tight budget I think Realme X will do the job.

  • i think Gsmarena's price isn't exact and real. in order to compare the real price and buy a mobile ,i need an online mobile store. can anybody introduce an online store to me?i prefer an online store from china. tnx

  • I'm a fan of Realme X and Redmi K20 but I don't know which one is better. I play games moderately (Online Battle Royale, MOBA), photo shooting, watching videos and listening to music. Both devices looks good enough but I wanna know what do you guys think?

  • No IR blast.

  • Does anyone know when K20 pro will launch in Egypt? or even K20 ?

  • A50 has a similar performance as redmi note 7 but a bit better, while snapdragon 730 is far superior and more power efficient thanks to 7nm chip.

  • You cannot use facial unlock without a front camera. The camera has to pop up before you can us it and that is a nuisance.

  • I am not a fan of pop up camera. It does away with facial unlock which I like to use. For the same price, I would always prefer water drop notch to pop up camera.

  • K20 does not have dual band GPS. Apart from CPU , cameras are the only other major differences, as well as charging ability, compared to k20pro. At price difference of 500rmb, I opted for k20pro.

  • I think k20 will be a flop because of the pricing. I do not play games so do not need flagship CPU and sd730 is ideal for me. My previous phones were redmi note, redmi pro (pro 2 never materialied), mi note2, mi note3, then switched to oppo k1 as during this time no mid range mi phones ever had front fingerprint sensor. Now back to redmi, k20 is ideal for me if only it costs 500rmb less. I would have gone for oppo again the k3 or realme x. They are comparable to k20 in specifications and cost several hundreds less. But I am a mi fan because of MIUI. At 500 more, I opted for k20pro. In my opinion, k20 and k20pro price difference should be 1000.

  • yes

  • Does anyone knows what would be the price of this smartphone (and the pro version) in Europe? Thank you in advance :)

  • So what about dc dimming and dual band GPS? Can anyone confirm they are available, or only the pro version has them? Also, can anyone compare reception/cellular signal strength on K20 vs K20 pro, any differences?

  • They both don't support liquid coling

  • No card slot hahahaha what a screw-up. Now I've gotta go to my no-door-house in my no-engine-car so that I can snuggle up in my no-couch living room to watch my no-screen telly. I think I am gonna have such a good time.

  • Read properly I never said anything about chipets, I said opting out of a 3rd cam would've made it even more cheaper

  • Only in redmi k20 pro

  • Does this phone supports liquid cooling or its only available for k20 pro?

  • Are you mad bro. this phone is perfect and prize is good what you want 710. 730 is high midrange series chip redmi gave no one gave you at this cheap prize if you don't like this one go for realme x

  • Aperture has nothing to do with the sensor. It depends on the optics used.

  • Compare to price samsung is nothing now

  • Any benchmarks for this yet? And how does this compare to Samsung Galaxy A50?

  • They should've ditched the 3rd cam and should've opted for the notch in the non pro version to cut prices even further

  • k20 and k20 pro will be getting face-unlock after getting update to miui

  • To cut Costs. I'm turning to Samsung's instead (A30/A50).

  • Yeah s10 is not a flagship. It's an overpriced potato

  • 90% it has

  • Why no ir blaster on this phone?

  • S10 price is way much higher than those of Xiaomi, realme, Asus etc. With that price you can buy 2 flagships from these companies. So don't even think of galaxy s series or note series when you are talking about mobiles from these Chinese companies.

  • where is the card slot, why??

  • Where would you even put these? Of course it doesn't.

  • Obviously no, if they have it, it will not be as secure as phones with IR face scanner.

  • Hell yes or even 1080p 960fps for some .sec

  • No, but you can use the 2d face id the one used in most android phones but it's not as secure as 3d face id

  • Doesn't xiaomi k20 or k20 pro have face Id sensor? Please answer me

  • So is the processor amd camera sensor tje only difference between the two, or is there something else too?

  • K20 continuesly record 1080p at 240fps or not

  • Nope that's mi 8 se

  • imx 586 is a bit better But it is important which phone and over what chipset So it is not all about camera sensor Realme X chipset in camera processing is weaker than SD730 in k20 Still we need to wait for camera samples but probably k20 be better

  • This is the best phone ever made, people will look back at this in years to come and think this phone was years ahead of everybody else, I can see this phone being in the next STAR TREK FLICK :-P

  • All 3, if you wanna lighting show on the back, than blue or red, if you wanna unique design carbon black.. Anyway there is a case in the box, so it does not matter in the and

  • Maybe k20 pro, will be pocophone f2 pro global version? If so, its logical that this phone is pocophone f2

  • I can see Xiaomi ending Up like Oneplus and it makes me sad :-/

  • Because they so good?

  • How come the are so cheap?

  • I don't like the phone because I don't like iPhone's? :-( but I hope the K20 does well overseas :-)

  • be educated enough about certain specs and its processes before you open your mouth

  • IMX586 has a little bit larger aperture than IMX582. So, in theory, the camera of Realme X is a little bit brighter especially on night purpose. Mayber arround 11/12. But the secondary camera of Redmi K20 is better and also has third camera for tele purpose.

  • Are you for real? This combinatiom for proc and apu wont even hit 4k at benchmark for sure.. Are they going to launch the second generation with lower performance comparing to their previous one?

  • I hate phone with radio and with no card slot.

  • Redmi K20 will be available globally as Poco F2

  • I have a important question.can anybody help me? Xiaomi K20 has 3 cameras with sony IMX582 Realme X has 2 cameras with sony IMX586 both of them have 48 megapixel rear camera. which one is better? regards

  • I wanna know the actual diffrence of this two sensor... I googled but not getting any details about imx582 even on SONY's site, i think there must be not huge but little bit difference... Do you have any idea how to get details?

  • I agree with you

  • This is not the answer i think....see many other phones r also capable of recording [email protected] they not using sony imx586.?? actually a cam comparison of both these devices can give a real idea that wt the difference of imx586 vs 582.

  • install q beta program on it when its releases in your region.

  • which color of redmi k20 is best looking.?

  • no ir, no go! :-[

  • NO SD :-(

  • So many people whining " no sd card no IR blaster blah blah " , IR blaster useless feature that a phone doesn't need to have just to satisfy someone too lazy to get the remote

  • Do you know when it will arrive for global version?

  • Not yet

  • Tribes, Samsung Galaxy 10 is a bullshit with crap battery, but 10 Plus is a great phone already.

  • is this available global?

  • All i want is this with android one

  • Love the site the youtube tests but where on earth do you get the retail prices from? Prices are not even that price after 12 months of being first released. What happens when Trump goes after this company as well and he will but am waiting for the SD730 version as its better value then a 855.

  • So I guess Samsung Galaxy S10 isn't a flagship phone after all?

  • If you know then please give more details about Sony imx 582 and the difference between Sony imx586 and imx582???

  • Well, I think it's official, K20 will be marketed globally as Mi 9T, while K20 Pro will stay in China for the time being

  • Don't choose between them k20 is the best in his price he is like 😎😎😎&#128526;😎 a boss

  • As it turns out Huawei makes a nano SD card, Nano Memory, that would fit this phone perfectly. But they're the only ones who make it and the only phones it works on. Other competitors don't want to support their copyrights.

  • Waits for the xiaomi

  • Redmi K20 or Huawei P Smart Z?

  • if they incorporate micro sd support , the price will go up to $300 due to license fee

  • Its a marketing policy

  • Is this the cheapest Xiaomi phone with AMOLED display right now? or the Mi 9 SE?

  • If you need an SD slot, look for another phone, don't cry here. By the way realme x also doesn't have sd slot, may be the Indian variant will have one. Not giving SD slot is a marketing policy so that people would go for the higher storage variant of flagship phones. None of the flagship phones today except Asus ZenFone 6 provide you a dedicated SD slot. That's why the base variant is so cheap!

  • why they remove the card slot

  • Lacks 4k60fps recording

  • Cheapest option costs ¥1999, not really in the 'budget-friendly' range for a Redmi phone. Was really hoping for the SD730 variant to be near the Realme X base price which only costs ¥1499.

  • Means that this phone already costs 30% more than Realme X but still lacks OIS.

  • All features are the same,Only different 4k 30 fps vs 4k 60fps

  • - No IR blaster - No microSD card slot - Gimmick in-display fingerprint scanner This could have been the perfect phone but they ruined it...

  • Am sure there are a whole lot of phones out there that meets all these specs to a T.Stop your whining and move on to the next phone if this does not meet your needs..

  • wtf is sony imx 582 instead of 586??? how much difference???

  • horrible colors.. hope they gonna ship a plain black one when they'll introduce them to EU market as Poco F2

  • Is this phone support international sim?

  • Thanks I'm glad to know i'm not the only one.

  • Almost, except for the fact that it doesn't have Infrared and the notch is ridiculously large for todays standard.

  • Well I don't know if you use Waze, i'm sure you don't, try driving for UBER with an S8 screen like I did and in less than 7 months you have a NICE MAP on your screen on whites. So no, AMOLED have burn-ins VERY faster than 3 years my brother.

  • Oh yes of course, and then you need to have internet connection in order to access those files on a trip or something, but you could JUST have it on the MicroSD and carry it all the time with you! LOOK IT'S PROGRESS? Someone else to defend the regress of not having MicroSD slot? Cause so far the only thing I see people saying is telling HOW I SHOULD MANAGE my data instead of leaving me with options to choose, if you prefer cloud and you have always internet working on your phone, good for you, but do not leave people that don't want to have 128gb of cloud storage on the trash. The attacks are made to people that complain about Sd Card slot missing are ad hominem none of them are logical or technical...

  • What OIS you're talking about? Realme X doesn't have it either, cheapest phone to feature one seems to be Pixel 3A at $400. IR blaster is really gimicky thing, I've used it less than 20 times in over three years. On the other hand NFC is real deal - lacking google pay is annoying.

  • Not sure if it's worth the extra CNY 500... still depends on your budget.

  • Rekt 100 +100 Respect

  • Its not like the k20 has a better SOC and bigger battery or idk , not like it has 3 camera instead of two , or idk a lower base price based on the same ram/storage

  • Look like i make this commen!

  • almost perfect but no sd card, no ir blaster.

  • Costs more than Oppo Realme X. Lacks OIS and IR blaster. What happened Xiaomi?

  • There is cloud, also there is 256GB version..

  • no eis/ois ?

  • NO SD card no buy

  • Yeah, but what is wrong with this one? It's a great phone. Not everyone needs to have flagship device/specs

  • go make one

  • If you're reading this, stop what you're doing right now and go here instead: this is the better Pro version with Snapdragon 855, so get this one if you're planning on buying it

  • UK price please?

  • If you don't like it's features or missing some features you wanted, just move on guys. No need to be mad or something. I'm not a fanboy. I'm also looking for a phone that's good with my budget.

  • For those who are clinging for expandable storage microSD card (like me) can opt for the Redmi Note 7 Pro. For Xiaomi fans only.

  • My bubble burst with no IR blaster. Too bad only few companies are left with the ir option.

  • SD cards can die too. Either way, you should have another copy (Cloud, flash drives) of your important files.

  • That's only if you're lucky, but you can get burn-ins in just a few months of usage. A defect is always more possible with AMOLED compared to LCD.

  • Between Sony IMX582 and IMX586 is there a lot of differences?

  • Let me explain: amoled screen can last at least 3 years before starting to burn in, I have a 2 years old note 5, and his screen is still good, colors are still accurate. By the way I'm planning to buy A50, but came to see who took A50 first spot :P

  • IR blaster ? UFS 3.0 ?

  • Base version costs 500 CNY / $70 more than Realme X... only difference is the SD730 and 6GB RAM vs SD710 and 4GB base ram of RMX

  • People telling people that complains about microSD slot missing are just STUPID or are training to be? How come you keep your files on your phone ALL the time even without internet connection BUT can be safe if your phone suddenly dies? MICROSD CARD!! So, to everyone saying that this is OLD junk, old TECH and shouldn't be there just to cope with XIAOMI bad decision cause you can't criticize the company you love so much, maybe you should think again!

  • I hope it isn't, unless they lost their minds....

  • Never mess with the SD slot! Never!

  • Not sure though...but doesn't Poco F1 fit almost every criteria that you've mentioned?

  • All of their flagships do not have an sd card slot or is it expandable, just like flagships from other brands.

  • no card slot, NO DEAL !

  • For all these folks who keep nagging, please chech the other smarphones at similar price point

  • Sd slot is important, but its missing

  • This smartphone is almost perfect, but the bad thing about this smartphone is that it does not have a MicroSD slot, it's my only complaint

  • knock knock, 2010 calling.. please go back.

  • Snapdragon 730 or better 6gb of RAM, 64/128GB of Internal Memory Camera with SONY sensor IMX586 or superior MICROSD Slot Infrared Port (IR Blaster) 4000mah Battery USB type-C 3.5mm headphone Jack Less than 15,5cm IPS screen to cut price, instead of AMOLED (because it's expensive and deteriorate faster over time) Fingerprint reader on the back of the device SERIOUSLY IS IT THAT HARD TO MAKE THIS SMARTPHONE? I'm not even complaining about having small notch or not having capacitive keys instead of on screen, i've already accepted this, however SOME COMPANY please can make this perfect fit smartphone? That's all

  • K20 has a new and unknown IMX582 Sony sensor. Rather than cutting costs for the rear camera, they could have done better !!!

  • Why would you want sd card in 2019, 256gb is hella lot

  • why the F did they remove the SD card slot , mother F's . Whats up with companies removing SD card slot? F'ing hell

  • Please Redmi next time when we beg you to include memory card please do that for us because it breaks the deal for some fans or customers. Apart from that everything is great and I know for sure this can sell so well because of the price. Great work done.

  • Yes this is my phone, I love it except the memory card that is left out. I pleaded with Redmi to keep it for us and also improy the audio quality through the headphone. Am glad they gave us the 24-bit audio though. About the design I was thinking it was going to look like the M 9 because I like that back design better and the colour options. Well this one too is not bad at all .Good job done please distribute this phone globally every where on earth. I need one. I would love the 256 GB version. Thank you. Any way any of the two series the K20 and K 20 pro I see here I will buy one. Note Redmi Note 5 pro is still working hundred percent. I need one of these to replace this one as my daily driver.

  • So this is supposed to be the pocophone successor?

  • it is very good on price band.

  • Gsmarena quickly make a details review. we are really facinate...

  • What?? So this has non-expandable storage! Deal breaker for me. Rest is great though.

  • Is it plastic like note 7 Pro?

  • Go Ahead Man. Please submit ur review after u buy.

  • Has it IR blaster?

  • My next phone, Insha Allah..

  • Where is 4G Band(20) ??? No global version?

  • Would be cool phone if would be stock android

  • Please review this one it looks valuable

  • better than oppo reno, realme x.

  • OIS ??????

  • Me too. I think it would be one good phone for the 2019.

  • Waiting for the review.
