alcatel OT-222 - User Reviews

  • Press the OK key go to Profiles (middle row, left hand side symbol) OK Options Edit Ringtones scroll down the list to Keypad OK Silent

  • I think this phone is great but the bleeping that happens whenever I press a button is sending me slowly mad, does anyone know how to turn it off?

  • I purchased this phone a few days ago, cost me £6.50 ,ok i know thats very cheap, but when i make phone calls people say they can barely hear me and that it sounds muffled at times.i dont expect much from a basic phone, but would be nice if the call quality was reasonable,im not sure i will trust this brand again

  • poor chap, dont you look the part with this phone,i run a car buisness . this is the best phone to use and be seen with, its a phone!!!!

  • Tnx, i found it once, then lost it again. it must be my age hey. JAP

  • @canvas if you receive an SMS or a call, the blue light keeps blinking for a while then it turns off, so if you look at the phone after that period, you cannot know that you got the SMS or the call...

  • i have just purchased an OT 222 it has plug in TV sandwich maker coffee vendor picnic table and would you believe a toaster?" jokes aside for the price this little wonder easy use phone is a great improvement on my nokia 650 and 5800, it actually makes phone calls you can hear with no hustle, and all for £5.50 at orange!!! unbelievable get one you wont regret it

  • your question dosnt make any sense please elaborate

  • Camera? a phone is PHONE. If you want to take pictures buy a camara. What else do you want on a phone, a toaster?

  • jlas9: of course not :)

  • This is a great "simple style" phone. Really, the only inconvenient i can see is this question: Can i reject a phone call if i have set "Answer when open the flip"?. Thanks very much, in advance. Best Regards.

  • Does anybody know how to make the blue flash blinking forever (in case of incoming sms or call) and not turn off after a while?

  • about the ringtones, you go on profile click on edit and then click on ringtones. Hope it helps

  • COME ON NOW - £9 for a miniature mobile with colour screen. Ch**st, a pizza costs more than that. Best electronic value around.

  • If you want a camera and all the extras this is NOT the phone for you, as it says on the box before you purchase it. I wanted a PHONE, as I already have a camera, and that is what I got, and a good phone it is too, small, smart and does the job. Just what I wanted a phone to do.

  • Great phone for the price, but how do I access ringtones. My wife doesn`t like the bouncing ball.

  • Great phone...huge battery life, small handy and it charges from any USB port in reach... The thickness is not 11.3 mm, but almost 19...

  • LMFAO! you have to be joking ked this phone is the worst thing to come out i mean what phone nowadays dosnt have a camera ! i only bought this because my old ones broken and id be embarressed to have this as a long time phone its awful on a scale of 1-10 ,tbh there isnt a number below - 629234675645356325546235646432587243 that could describe how bad this is !

  • Yes I bought one from Asda too, a great deal! Remember that you have to register the phone online to get the credit though, should be preloaded. The site is down on occasions I found too. The handset is so motorola in appearance, ditto other Alcatel I have seen. But I would say that this phone is on a scale of 1 to 10, 11!!

  • buy this for £9 at asda and get £10 top up
