not a worth buying phone at all. and not at a user friendly phone. its 3mp camera is hell waste. dont expect any good photos or video recordings. its gps doesnt work at all. wifi doesnt connect. internet connection is only on airtel network. u dont find any applications for it internet. its having a horrible battery backup. if any of its components get corrupted u wont find service centres and even in any big mobile shop u wont find service and even if u get it it will b really very expensive for you

Hi. I bought a Asus P565 windows based mobile phone on 08/04/2010. For the fir few months it worked fine but after that it started giving problems like anything. Firstly, its heating problem and ultra low battery problem knocked me out. After this 3 times (yes three times!!!) i had to get its display replaced due to the continuous appearance of black patches over it. And finally the problem of heating without anything comes into its role. Whenever i insert the battery it starts heating up even if the handset is switched off. i went to the service center they said that the mother board is short circuited and just because my handset is over by one year and few days they strongly suggested me to go for a new handset as the cost of the mother board, which is 80% of the cost of handset, will have to be bear by me. I AM TOTALLY PISSED OFF WITH THE QUALITY AND AFTER SALES SUPPORT OF ASUS. AND I WILL STRONGLY RECOMMEND EVERYBODY (IN MY SOCIAL CIRCLE AS WELL AS OVER THE INTERNET , BLOGS, SOCIAL NETWORKING WEBSITE) NOT TO GO FOR ANY ASUS PRODUCT.. :(

I' m using Asus P565 from March 2009. Generally I'm very content with it. Its basic advantages: -very good proccessor speed -many useful applications installed and unlimited ability to install others -unlimited phonebook/messages -very good contact management -fully configured menu-appearance-themes-profiles, etc., according to your personal needs -accepted photo and video quality -good enough gps and wi-fi device -flexible conectivity with other devices via bluetooth or/and USB -durable construction (just a few negligible scratches on device body and no scratches on display, after various inattentioned drops) Its basic disadvantages: -Battery duration too small. Need to charge every two days (with 1.5 hours talking time per day, no wifi nor gps activated, all charges made according to the manufacturer's instructions). Now, after two years, I'm charging every day, sometimes twice per day (depended on the usage), that is unaccepted for a business mobile. -Speaker volume not loud enough. Couldn't hear the phone ringing in a public bus, even with its loudest ringtone. -No FM radio -No accelerometer

just see the processer speed buddy and if u want just install windows 6.5 or android the phone will be completly changed in interface hence there is a problem in heating the phone but just google the comparison of asus p565 vs htc touch and u will know that how good phone u are using still love this phone more than my iphone 3gs ..

I can give the feedback in one line "Never fall for this phone"... It does many things right, except for the ones a phone is supposed to do. 1. Reception - very bad and we have to restart to catch the signal 2. Battery use - abyssmal not even 120 Minutes on GPRS Touch screen stopped working after one month in use,took 15 days to repair. I will tell you this phone was never worth its cost, also its start giving problem exactly after 1 yer warranty expires . The touch screen problem is 100% there in every ASUS P565 and cost of this touch screen at Pune is 2000/- .Summary This phone is absolutely not worth its cost.

Here are some of the good things, Good resolution, which makes up a good UI overall Touch screen response is good. (dont compare with iPhone) Great finish Pretty fast (in auto mode) Voice clarity Browsing Compromises Battery drains quickly (well, it picks up after couple of charge cycles) Average audio quality Tips to save battery 1. Hi Abhinav, I agree with you... this is a good phone. However I have noticed that the peiece becomes really hot at times when running on GPRS and even the battery drains very fast when running on GPRS. Apart from this everything looks fine to me. The speed is good and the touch screen is cool... If someone really doesn't need a PPC and is only looking for a fancy phone, P 565 is not a good choice.

hi all, i m sing this phone for last 5 days...i bought it for 15000 in delhi.. i found this phone very very good... the signal strength, wifi, bluetooth is utter smooth and does give any problem... but if u compare the wifi with the laptop's wifi then its your fault because the signal catching capabilities of laptops are stronger than the pda's.. rest, the speed of the phone is also good. being a user of PDA one should have a little more patience....the loudness of songs on loudspeaker is somewhere low than other mobile phones, but on ringer (incoming call) it sounds quite good. NOTE: BUY A PDA ONLY AND ONLY IF U HAVE NEED OF IT, DONT JUST BUY A PDA FOR FUN AND DO NOT EXPECT A PDA TO BE A MULTIMEDIA MOBILE PHONE. :)

I'm using it not even a year.. GPS suck and out of 50 times I tried, maybe twice I can get the reception. I report this to Asus Thank you for supporting and using ASUS products. Your mail request ID is WTM20100127345311595 But from the review, I can say that this PDA did not meet up to his reputation pre-review..sound not loud enough, GPS problem, scroll down issue, battery not lasting and etc.. And Late servis (more than one month) to repair my device is not acceptable!! Now, I bought back my SE600i for primary phone while the Asus P565 is not more than a joke to carry it and showing how stupid this product to all my colleague..

its a killer phone to go for a price of 14k( in bangalore), the cons of the phone are poor battery back up even with moderate use,pictures taken from the mobile lacks clarity. speaker quality should have been better. otherwise its a good windows phone.

Asus Windows Mobile phones are absolutely useless due to following reason which i have experience: 1. It cuts phone in between. 2. Network problem where other mobile with same sim works fine . 3.Within 1yr mobile will have n number of problems and finally after 1 yr their warranty is over and you will be asked to change motherboard costing 7 -8k . 4. spend some more and buy i phone or blackberry they are very much reliable and sturdy. 5.Asus resale value is Rs o/- 6.Asus mobile are very slow and cursor movement is absolutely bakwas . you scroll down the contacts list and it will move up , even their service provider are unable to solve this problem. Overall ASUS window mobile are absolutely worthless for money they charge and you will waste your money .

love the phone. of course after downloading spb keyboard (free trial) and skype it is pretty much perfect. super fast. looks great. the leather is real classy. the case is even better. beautiful screen. oh and did i mention super fast. also handles multi programs incredibly. the screen is real sensitive so using your finger works perfectly. cons. doesn't support 850 frequency. and not alot of hardware buttons.

There are no pros, here are the cons: 1) Though it's claimed to have the best CPU in market, i couldn't believe it after seeing it's performance even in turbo mode. 2) When using asus go 2008 map software, though the device is plugged in to 12V DC and power setting was set to "do not turn off the device", it turns off and you have to tap on the screen every time to turn it back on. And it takes extra time for the device to find out GPS location. I had to develop an add-in software that keeps resetting idle timer of windows continously. 3) I couldn't find a way to let the device use 802.11 if available, and if no wireless network is present, use GPRS/EDGE then. You should choose either. If you choose GPRS, it uses GPRS even if you're in a wireless network range; and if you choose Wireless Network Card, if does not try to use GPRS if no network is found. 4) We made a comparison on cold starting time of GPS receiver with a friend's Blackberry Storm 9530. He connected and found location in 4 secs, Asus couldn't locate where it is. 5) User interface is silly. 6) It overheats when charging (in a place where it's not under direct sunlight) and shuts itself without a warning.

Under heavy usage (Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/Calls/SMS) battery lasted 2 days. 3. Under normal usage (SMS/Calls/little Wi-Fi) battery lasted 4 days. 4. Under light usage (SMS/little Calls/little Wi-Fi) battery lasted 5 days. 5. On standby (Phone Off + Device in Standby mode) battery lasted 9 days. The device was running on a GSM (2G) network. Although, the battery life of your device might depend on factors such as network reception and ambient temperature. Regardless, this is just a reference for you guys to have a rough estimation of the battery life.

i've been contemplating buying this phone for quite some time now. Obviously the processor speed and the comfortable pricing are impressive. But what has been stopping me is the battery problem many of you seem to be having. My expirience with WM devices tells me that the battery is always a problem and seldom lasts more than a day and a half. I talk on the phone for 2 hrs daily on an average. What I need to know from existing users of this phone is that does there battery last that much. Is there any other serious problem with the UI or the touchscreen or any other add-on that they might have experienced? Should I buy this phone??? I bought P565 IN AHMEDABAD on 3rd day of purchase touch screen sensing from bottom left corneer failed. Got replacement new piece now after one & half month again touch screen sencing from upper half screen failed even screen alignment is aldo disabled. Given to Asus service centre thru retailer and in waiting of 7 days. Problem handling skills of retailer is Just third grade. Conclusiong : NOT WORTH SPENDING RS 21000 FOR THIS MOBILE PHONE

Even I was facing battery and speed issue. Used a cooked rom of rishi from XDA. Installed PointUI and the speed is awesome. Its really 800 Mhz. I listen to music, browse internet on wifi, recieve call, open excl file when all is on. and its like normal without lag. Only earphone clearity is less. Battery life is approx one and a half day.

i get the p565 4 days ago, with the latest rom.dont have the battery problem as you said.the 1st day after full charge,i use it from 9pm till next day 5pm battery used 30%.the latest firmware solve the battery safe mode problem. the only thing i not satisfy is the processor 800mhz,it run any program very smooth,but not as fast as i expected.if compare with my x500 x650..yes,, it start the same program faster,but cant say super fast,, i suspect bcos of the vga screen eat the resource. may be the p552w faster then the p565 bcos of the qvga screen. i am looking forward for the wm6.5 rom for p565. comfirm free upgrade from asus centre.

asus 565 is having tremendous battery problem , this should be taken care of immediately as one cant charge phone twice daily or even more than that.Even after few calls phone battery gets discharged from 100 to 75%.

It sounded amzing when I heard about 800 MHz proceccor but... In graphic applications it is slower than iPhone for example. It also has not-best-in-the-class touch shell, has no hot change for microSD card. All the rest is just fine. Very good phone if will be priced not more than 700 USD

ASUS P565 device has a very gud Processor it is a world fastest devise and look wise amazing it has also a GPS for life time this is very gud feature and wifi is also is in for using Internet in any where free of cost.

I have just tested the actual p565 out of the box with std apps attached to it and found out that it is not the fastest & smoothest pda phone around even though it comes with a 800mhz processor , supprisingly it still cant beat htc touch hd & after so many compliments and benchmarking test by so call experts reviewer , it still lags here & there , inconsistant high speed & slow speed when u use it , u can imagine of it hanging / freezing if u install more apps / games into the p565 . The glide ui is the worse in lagging terms , i think maybe it�s due to low ram - 128mb and it�s slow rom , maybe we have to wait for rom upgrades to see again how it perform , but until now , only people who dont know about htc brand may be induced into buying asus . Asus still a year or 2 back in terms of smooth speed processing when compares to htc in my opinion . I felt dissapointed because of the wrong info gathered from a few reviewers of p565 that it is the fastest pda phone around , but they didint mention intermittent lagging when u use it . To confirm my findings , please test the actual unit first before u buy , if i m wrong then pls let me know because i m a keen follower of speedy pda phones . So far i found iphone is best & htc touch hd second , anyone have any other brands & make u find good or better , pls feel free to comment , thks & cheers :) Also the screen sensitivity is not so great , only the price is quite attractive at around usd630 . I think benchmark testing is one thing but actual usage testing is another which i found differs from a few reviewers comment , in my opinion it's definitely slower than htc touch hd , u got to test both to feel the smoothness of it . Of course the smoothest phone so far is iphone but it's already coming to 1 year old , so please someother brands , please stand out and compete on this technology . I'm currently using ASUS 535. It hanged few times a week. Synchronising sometimes not getting thru. Wondered it was common in ASUS? Now thinking of upgrade to ASUS 565, not sure the above problems solved in this 565 ? Thanks for the comment on persons who really owned it.

yes 100% Omnia is garbage i have the phone for a week and i give the phone back... dont look at the screen 800-400 resolution..coz omnia dont suport a lot of programs and games coz of the screen so if u realy like to play games on it..dont bother buying omnia
