Asus P750 - User Reviews

  • where can i buy this phone

  • Where can i buy this kind if phone?

  • i have interest to purchase this phone but i can not find the price any way

  • I have used the phone for 3 years now. I did not have any problem with the phone hanging or with the applications. However, this phone and the company have some major, major issues as listed below. Biggest problems: 1. Reception not clear. I tried the same SIM with other phones and the reception was great so definitely a problem with the phone. 2. Casing is of cheap materials. Did not realize at the time of purchase bcoz all the other features were overwhelming. But the casing started cracking within a year. The service centre in Bangalore refused to replace it saying that it was due to misuse. Which person would misuse a Rs. 21K phone??? Anyone, the casing is now in bits and I do not know who will replace it. The service centres seem to have stopped handling ASUS mobiles. I would never recommend an ASUS product to anyone.

  • are this phone is best to use????

  • This is the best phone I've used until today. I have a phone like this, it's been mine already 4 years and half. Asus support is excellent! if you have problem's with it just call them! In my opinion the memory off it is little but this phone is perfect i love it! ...but it's getting old... but Working with the original battery still works for a day and half off another one.. amazing humm? :)

  • Used it for 2 years & it was real pain in handling the body especially panel.not much applications r there which supports windows mobile.

  • sometimes I use this phone to clean all the shit in my ass

  • Good phone. MAX vibration. My gurlfriend loves max speed vibration in cu. max cu, max power, max master happy to me.

  • i have one of this...it's the most amazing phone in the all world...when i go to the beach i'm make shore that the phone is with me..i like to take some photos and see the babes on the beach....so in resume it´s a nice phone

  • u contact accel frontline for panel

  • someone planning to sell me this kind for rm500 which he ardy used for 2yrs.. should.should i not buy it?? confused.. afraid that a lot prob in future..

  • where can buy the asus p750 pannel

  • I was interested in browsing the internet at a faster speed when I am on the road. I selected ASUS P750 for that reason. The performance was great but it comes with a cost of bringing down your battery. Something you should be able to manage. I am pleased with other functions but the phone sometimes hang. I think that is a software problem and I am sure ASUS may have already heard about it. I have not used the GPS system on this model but I am planning on doing so if I purchase ASUS P835. My only problem with the phone is that the covering used on the outer part (housing) is weak and pieces have been falling apart a year after I bought it. Perhaps ASUS should have a hard cover like the iPhones so that the phone housing is not easily damaged, under pressure or if it is dropped.

  • this phone has a vga screen, but is outputting qvga. weird, and ill never understand that

  • Do not buy this phone; mine fell apart within months of purchase because of a defect in the fascia and shell. Fifteen months later the motherboard decided to give up the ghost. All this against a backdrop of substandard service.

  • Its an excellent phone... really durable.

  • Hi guys, Just bought this P750 2 weeks ago 2nd hand (6 months old) at a very reasonable price keeping in mind that it still comes with the original box packing and all other accessories intact. With 6 more months warranty, it's really worth it. My previous P735 was stolen so I'm pretty much quite used to the phone and the feature I really liked most was its 520Mhz processor "Turbo Mode", no other units have this speed at this range. it's fast and smooth, better than many other today's Windows based PDA phone. The built-in GPS is good, fast and accurate with Garmin. These days, when I need to buy a Windows PDA phone, I will only buy 2nd hand, few months old with at least 3 months warranty to go as it's easy to solve problems "should the need arises". For guys facing "hanging" problem quite often, look at the softwares you've installed, especially 3rd party ones, they could be the cause of the problem.

  • i buy 2ndhand p750..its on good condition..in about 2 years now i had a problem..it always hang..i take and action to format by using a backup data..now i have a big prblem coz i dont know the password of last user b4 me..when i ON the device must insert password..what could i do?help me plz..i lost my data, contact num,&others..rply me quick to [email protected] plz....

  • super fone, sound quality is outstanding change hedsed and use sony, sometimes hangs, gps is super use garmin maps it takes datta from 30 sattelite

  • used for 2 yrs. Phone signal level pathetically bad. ( nokia is the best ) Often hangs when GPS is running. Repair service by ASUS is worst. I took it to them, they said some cock and bull story and sent it back. I am planning to throw it into dustbin and go for nokia N97 Waste of Money, pl. review the market for other better options before you decide to go for this crap !

  • Dear User P750, I've use this phone almost 2 year plus. it look great without making me problem to much. only 1 time I saw it hang due to install the Kaspersky Mobile on it. but that was only 1 time? for the Asus Launcher was not really important to me. because on the keypad do got the short-cut. RAM can't be upgrade. only flash memory-card (is built-in) is not like PC. overall it perfect to me. wish the Asus product will beat down the HTC HD2 with coming up more future, WM 6.5 Pro, extra wide screen & keypad (while driving not annoy us using pen to put on screen). please update it to Asus Website or go to this site for latest information (http://asusmobile.net). cheer happy new year x'mas.

  • this is a nice phone. GPS works good, but as always free softwares (satguide) never satisfy me. search online for Map my India. very good. thanks

  • how upgrade ram to 128 ?

  • I`m using it for a year. Generally it`s OK, little bulky for 2.6 (Nokia and Sony are thinner) Currier is always start it selves and annoying, memory is occupied very fast and cleaning doesn`t help too much Once a week restart must, sometimes (GPS) twice, no proprietary skin (like HTC) so touch screen of MOB6.0 from MS is not good for 2.6 screen. GPS is OK, email too. Too expensive, only black, Greesy screen, even after cleaning w/spec cloth/ I`ll give 7-7.5

  • If you dont like pl. sell to me

  • mobile9.com here

  • i have SPB launches, much better than ASUS Launches, phone is awesome, not problem at all, I just didnt the camera quality and the GPS isnt very strong but does the job. I've got 4GB, battery drains quite quickly if you leave programs running but as it says 6HR ?? it no where near 4HR.lol The Speaker is loud enough to use it as handsfree. Feels good, joystick isnt that good but i hardly use joystick as i have the SPB Launcher!

  • this mobile is just waste of money. I am having this one it's vibration is not working at all. can somebody help me please....

  • Can any one give me any free links to games for this phone ASUS P750.

  • Hey, The satguide sw in already there in the microsd card and it is a autorun cab file. all u have to do is put the phone on and then insert the microsd card only ( not the big adapter that comes along wit it), the mini card into the microsd slot located at the right side bottom edge of the phone, next to the camera click button, and the satguide sw will start its auto install. u jus have to select if u want to store in phone or sd card. hope this helps.

  • can i use the asus p750 in japan

  • how to update ram to 128mb or more?

  • oh i did not see where is that external antena. But its still bad for 2,5mm. how to expand RAM?

  • The specs here is not updated. P750 is now WM6.1 with threaded messaging. Plus a slew of other upgraded features. Much more stable and easier to use. The Chinese input is simply fantastic. Better than iPhone, and any other phones i've encountered.

  • how to upgrade to 128mb???

  • the phone is nt good i hv used it hangs a lot nd gives a current while charging .....its nt worth at all i hv been using it since a yr nd its a waste of money.

  • 1. The phone have a FULL VGA display! 640x480! (works only with SORG firmware!) 2. u can upgrade to 128 MB RAM (fantastic!) 3. have a 2,5" jack for external devices - headphones 4. have a slot for external gps antenna! :)

  • I have Windows 6.1 Asus Launcher is not available While charging mobile give shock If the battery is fully discharged and put for charging and mobile is switched on then mobile does not immediatly java software is not working while playing songs if wobile is in standby mode, and head phone is attached then it pause after playing 1st song In bluetooth file transfers only in main memory and not in storage memory Internet calling option is not available

  • has used the phone for ALMOST a year. MAINLY for my work. i've got no problem with it. the phone hangs as with all other WM phones. nevertheless, its negligible cuz it rarely happens. i stream live video for my son to watch his fav cartoons. no problem. GPS with google maps works flawlessly. ... in short, i've got no problem with this unit n i still think its the best smartphone in the market due to the fact thats its WM platform (best for sync & working), numerical pad (i can use the phone - call/sms even when i'm driving... as i cal feel the keypad) & i can access almost 100% of the menus without using the stylus .

  • in world are not many people who wise enough to successfully use Pocket pc's. I think this PDA is very good for WLAN, SiRF III, 3,15MP camera and windows mobile os. Bad is that: No 3,5 headphones(not shure) and no external GPS antena.

  • this phone can wych youtube?:)

  • if you are able to upgrade the phone using the unofficial rom thanks to the russians, it is a stable piece of machinery and one that you can definitely count on.

  • Its camera and processor are too good.

  • I think I made a BIG mistake by buying this. They dont even have pre=loaded Acrobat reader! How does one get this. Also the phone hangs 4 times an hour and battery goes in the blink f an eye. Kudos ASUS...your product sucks!

  • Hi I C Thakur, its easy brother. i had upgraded to WM6.1 with absolute easy. Go to ASUS website and download the country specific files. for India i know there are two one is the main one and other the patch which is absolutely recommended. for details you can mail me on [email protected].

  • Hi Davidka Can you give me link for the Russian Forum from where you downloaded the software to run the P750 in 640x480 mode. How you got it upgraded to 128 Mb RAM, does it require opening of the Mobile completely.

  • william, asus didnt bring any catalog or manual for the GPS asus bundle? Suggestion that you used Garmin Mobile XT

  • davidka, how much did it cost you to upgrade the RAM? (in Euros please)

  • Dear Sir/Madam/ I bought this product ASUS P750 and I could not set up the GPS, the manual is not written in English, I;m finding it very difficult to set up the mobile phone proper. Could you please mail me the catalogue written in English or you kindly instruct me how to seee up the GPS Catcher. Below is my address. William Tarpeh. 125 Bailis Downs, Johnstown, Navan, Co Meath, Ireland. I'll be very glad you can assist me. Many Thanks. William Tarpeh. Email address. [email protected]

  • Hey Dhyanez can u name a particular site to upload softwares 4 this phone

  • how to get softwares for the phone

  • 32 GB

  • I have used this phone for more the 3months now, and I'm really satisfied with it. However as all the products this also has its dark sides. I would maybe complain about the 64MB RAM which could be at least doubled. The headphones are not the best, but probably that's it.

  • This might not be the best way for group SMS, what I did was for the 1st time, I'll select a group of people from the Contacts, say a group you always text when going to a party. Once you've selected the group say 10 or 20 people, highlight them, copy all the contacts and paste the contacts in To Do Lists (name it Party SMS?). So each time if you need to SMS them, just copy the contacts from To Do lists and paste them in your message, this way you don't need to re-select all the contacts all over again. This is the shortcut I used, hope this helps.

  • anybody can help me how to send sms in grouping instead of select one by one ?.

  • I have a P750. The camera is an af unit, but the quality is so-so (average). Video playback is good thanks to the processor. Speaker is above average for a Wm PDA

  • Can anyone tell me if there is a limit on the microSD card that is usable with the ASUS P750? The dealer told me it has an 8GB limit but I am not able to find that restriction anywhere.

  • Dear roberto baggio, The gps is good enough and accurate. I have not used A-gps, so i have no idea about comparisons.

  • Raj, This is business phone, so you dont have to care about photos. Photos are not as good as Nokia or SE. Any way i always suggest you to have a compact camera for your photo session!

  • Hello, Can any of the user suggest wehther the photos taken through the camera is of good quality (In the review its mentioned as therz some kind of pink/sm colour at the screen corner) and plz tel me about the sound clarity like song/video/speaker quality. Thanks in advance, looking for ur response asap

  • how is the gps on this phone is it really accurate like the gps in the cars or is like the gps on many other phones like A-Gps please can anyone help me before i buy this device thanks and god bless

  • The price for P750 rangers from US$ 600/- to US$ 750/- It depends where you buy it from.

  • I bought his phone in Thailand because it is not launched in my country yet, I installed Arabic language pack on it and had few problems of hanging then I installed another vendor Arabiser and it has been working great. I even istalled a SPB shell on and is working perfect. Yes the sound quality is not as good as my old P525 but as a telephone for people who do a lot of driving the keyboard is a nice added feature. I gave it 8 out of 10.

  • i recenty brought p750 so please tell me how to use gprs my deler says that 1gb installed but in 4gb not install so wht i can do

  • Yes KZ I m having the same problem. Strange is when I am connected with bluetooth I do not have anymore the noise problem. If you find something in the meantime please tell me.

  • can someone who has this phone help me?, i would like to know if there is an option or way to change the language!! because my dad bought me a p750 but it is in another language so ive no idea of it and dont know if there is a way to change it or must download a software, or should buy another one with inglish language

  • P750, and it has other features too. Touch dual has the touch flo technology as a + point. Make your choice.

  • hey mumbai boy, are u facing problems with the wifi network on the phone?

  • Does Asus P750 has Group SMS facility?

  • Finally, someone manages to combine 3G, WiFi, touchscreen, a solid keypad, 3.15mp camera and the ability to take SD Micro into one device. Asus P750 rocks!

  • Does P750 has Smart Dialing (T9 Dialer) like other windows mobile like imate, htc? Asus P750 & HTC Touch Dual are same price. But which is the speeder?

  • You can visit the Asus website. There select download and then download the latest ROM for Malaysia. Singapore and Thailand ROMs are not very stable. Then follow the directions in the folder. You may not be able to install it initially because of the region difference. Then you need to slide the off button up, press the memo key, push the joystick up and press the reset button. All at once. U can install it if u do this!!

  • Does any one can tell me how I should change the internet setting if I want to surf in the US with AT&T as my supplier

  • i visit cepforum, that good address to learn about asus , lol lol

  • I just got this phone, what I would like to know is, how can I use it as a modem with my laptop to connect to internet wirelessly? Pls help.

  • been using it for about 6 mths. truly a great phone. can use it with single hand operation. great while driving. although it comes with only 64megs of ram, the phone has only hang not more than 5x on me. very stable. its meant to be a working phone. for ppl with lots of contacts, schedules, etc. so the camera quality is just average. speakers avg too. to me, i'm giving this phone 5star.

  • The Speakers make noises , that make it very hard to understand the person on the line , my friends also have this proplem with thier assus p750 , I tried to find how to adjust the sound or to find fix for this . does any one have the same PROP??????????

  • First of all. Learn Trkish and than visit www.cepforum.com after that use everything.

  • I would agree to that N73 doesn't have half of Asus 750 features... Even N95 is not so powerfully packed like this. Except TV out and 5 mega pixel camera what additional does N95 offers??

  • just another copy of the nokia n73

  • Somebody is purposely giving less score in the voting result. The scores have decreased from 8.5 to 8.3, 8.6 to 8.4 and 6.6 to 8.4 in just 20 votes. Someone is purpose marking everything as 1. So boys gear up and screw that fellow with better votes.

  • I bought the phone in Australia but want to use it in USA. How do I get the required maps?

  • ronen u cant get the upgrade of ur phone into a windopws 6.1 . anywhere

  • Technology and style never merged so beautifully. i am simply amazed at the performance and delivery of this PDA so far the best i have had.Camera is gr8.Function buttons amazing.OS too good.jus cant praise it enuf

  • Well, I am happy to hear that there is no multimedia software and no Task Manager application preinstalled - and it does not sound like a disadvantage to me! Better having the possibility of installing your own prefered apps than stuff 'ready-burned in' to the ROM.

  • Used this phone for about a month and sold it off on eBay. Not a bad phone, but some things didnt meet my expectations... camera was very very ordinary, which I cant complain against because it is primarily a business phone and not a camera phone. Windows mobile is too slow... not the best for someone who uses the phone a lot, so has to move from one screen to another... because it typically takes a couple of seconds for anything to open up... can get irritating after a while GPS never worked... the damn thing never caught the satellite signal... I thought i could get used to a T9 or an on screen keyboard (was using the Treo 650 earlier with a full qwerty), but I was wrong... not that easy to adjust back. What I liked about the phone was it was pretty stable, hardly any freezes/restarts... everything except gps worked well... wifi is good... it is 3.5G etc

  • Where can I find the Windows Mobile 6.1 Upgrade for my Asus P750 Mobile Phone? Thanks... :-)

  • Did anyone notice a sudden extra heating in the back of the P750 while playing video streaming from the internet over WiFi ? I did ! I was watching some youTube movies over my WiFi network and my hands started to feel irritated, the back of the phone was becoming slowly HOT!

  • im using this set and has good battery back up. And the great feature of GPS map bundling...all free.

  • As far as battery life, it isn't superb but neither is it horrible. A full charge takes about 2-3 hours, and lasts between 2-4 days depending on use of GPS and the like. It's an excellent phone, with lots of great features, but a couple of the little things are annoying - for instance, I can't seem to get T9 to work, and the GPS takes a few minutes to capture the signal - though once captured, it doesnt let go easily.

  • I am really surprised by the energy consumption as it is very high and the recharging time is more than 8 hours to reach full recharge. Is anyone else having the same problem ?

  • Ordered this phone from expansys in UK approx 4 weeks ago, got one promtly, but it was defective. (during phone call I could not hear what the other person) Got replacement within a week (pretty good, I live in Iceland and customs are relatively slow) I have had the "new" phone for 2 weeks now and it works nice, better GSM network reception than my previous nokia phones, battery life is good, as long as you turn of WiFi, since that sucks all energy from the battery in approx 6 hours. After a "normal" work day I still have 50% left of the battery, estimated talk time is 1 hour, then occasional "fiddling around" I am generally pleased with this phone, I knew a little what to expect from WM phone, it is not as quick as my old Nokia 6300 series phone, but much nicer than my Nokia E70 that kept dropping key presses if I was to quick. The Asus P750 does not sound beeps, but keeps the presses, but the E70 sounded beeps but dropped the presses. I would reccomend this phone to anyone looking for a WM phone.

  • This is a great phone. Anybody who has problem of hanging should upgrade to latest firmware.

  • didnt nokia already make this lol

  • Hi, I am in mumbai and using this phone for quiet a few days. Its a great phone in all respects with good battery life, stability, application performance etc. 64mb memory is enough for the running applications. The sound clarity is very good when you listen to phone calls or on a speaker phone. Overall a nice piece to buy.

  • Does not having a QWERTY keyboard hamper usage at all? Especially for someone who has been using a phone with a QWERTY keyboard before? That is the only issue I see in buying this. Functionality-wise this beats most other much-more-expensive phone hands down!

  • hi,just wanted to know if anybody here in mumbai owns this phone? i am planning to buy this very soon so juz wanted to know how well does the gps work locally here.does the phone come with maps for india specifically mumbai and if yes then how detailed are they.can one compare them with the advertised nokia maps application.please advice on how the performance of this phone also.does 64mb really do the trick or it shd have been 128mb. awaiting responses

  • buy extra external memory will not help on freeze. try flash WM6.1 ROM from PhanQuang is the most stable i have try.

  • To Mirian: I have a 2gb micro sd card and about 1 gb it is emty. Still freezing, I think it's os. what do you think?

  • To stop it from freezing all the time you should buy more memory.

  • Does anybody know how to adjust speaker volume during calls, it does not work with jog dial key. Thanks

  • just bought this phone, however the language is in italian. Any help how to install an english rom since in asus website i did not find any ! thanks

  • it's freeze about once's a day. Please tell me what shoud I do in this case, becouse I realy like this pda.

  • how would you rate this phone compared to the hp ipaq 614c, now out in the uk hp has usb 2.0 and assisted gps, asus has usb 1.1 and sirfstar3 can someone compare these who uses usb 1.1?????? why why why?

  • has anyone tried using battery status to boost the cpu of this unit? thx

  • I'm very surprised with the "stability, reliability and permormance" of this phone. I didn't expect WM phone to act so reliably. No hangings for couple of weeks now. Speaker sound quality is excelent, no problems with hearing the person on the other side of the line. No problems so far with having only 64 ram. Battery life more than enough. Excelenet one-hand operation. I personaly bought this phone couse i was looking for a phone with standart keypad, JOYSTICK (i was using nokia e60 and got used to it very much), big screen and monoblock type. I didn't find any other non-WM phone that meets all of the above so i got this one even though i hated my HTC tytn i was using for a couple of months 1.5 years ago. Now I can say i'm a WM lover. You won't regret it if u get one. If u hate WM trust me u may change ur mind. I also hated WM when i was using HTC tytn. Now i'm a newborn WM fan. BTW i'm using second P750. the first one was acting awful. Hanged all the time, didn't conect to gsm network AWFUL. That's when i thought WM SUCK BIG TIME!!! but they actually gave me a new one in the shop. THIS ONE. No problems what so ever!

  • I have had the p750 for about a week. Very pleasantly surprised at its stability, performance and battery life! Dont be put off by the 64MB RAM. I did consider touch cruise (128MB) as alternative but I'm glad that I went with ASUS P750. In fact with WM6 all applications seem to be stored on the internal flash memory so RAM is not used up. WM6 uses up about 16MB but I have not had any problems with running out of RAM despite have many applications "running" (probably written to some swap file in FLASH). Even with all the office mobile programs running, IE open, reader open, map king open I still had about 20MB RAM available. The camera is fine for point and shoot but dont expect it to respond fast - the autofocus takes about 1 second so there is delay between pressing the button and the photo being taken. Picture quality is good. GPS and battery life are the strong points for this phone. It is fast and sensitive enough for real time car navigation (make sure you buy the map software - otherwise you are not getting your money's worth with this phone). There is a problem with wifi - it just drains the battery at a hyper rate ( 7% in 30 minutes, so leaving yourself logged into skype with this phone during your working day is not really an option) but gps and 3G are more power efficient, and the phone lasted over 2 days just with a few phone calls and about an hour of cumulative gps useage. On phone standby, a full battery only drops a few % when left overnight so the 240hours standby spec is probably about right. function buttons on side and the jogdial are very useful. music playback is good, and video playback is smooth. Overall I rate this very highly and well worth the HK$4100 I spent on it.

  • I have this smartphone and works very-well. Hope to be upgradable to Windows Mobile 7 without complication. Good support update-download from asus.com (brand-warranty) ...vote 10/10

  • my sister have this unit for two months, iam using this unit for a week and its really easy to navigate, now iam planning to buy this phone, hopping i can save money for this,

  • Does the P750 have T9/predictive tect input? Since this doesn't have a QWERTY keyboard, a T9 will make things pretty easy to use like some Blackberry phones...

  • hello. can anyone tell me if you would be able to download windows media player to the asus p750 phone. i know it supports certain files but there are also benefits of having windows media player. please respond if you have an answer. thanks

  • i have an urgent question. I notice that there is no media player but it spports diffrent media files. Can you download windows media player to the phone. Also im thinking of buying this phone but want someone who has had it for awhile to tell me their experience. thanks .

  • good

  • Powerful, but P735 has better looking imo.

  • My Asus750 have bug - when I call somebady and hi reject call, and then that person calls me back, I can't hear him!? Is this bug or soft limit?

  • VGA on P750 activated!!! with custom ROM amazing quality of picture

  • Almost all the PDA phones are hangs. Is that true for this PDA phone

  • and what about sound quality of mp3 songs through headphones?

  • in fact, after a few days use and installed a few software like spb pocket, phone suit, etc.. the phone seems more stable than before surprisingly. I also realize that sometimes the screen does not respond and it looks like it hangs up, but if leaving it for ~1min, somehow it returns to normal, so it is like the cpu has been working on something during the "hung" period. Don't know if other users experience the same.

  • hi how often does this phones freeze? do you need to restart? Can anyone comment on sound quality? thnx in advance

  • it actually hangs a few times when i m playing with it. Asus must need to resolve this! strange that it uses USB 1.1??? and 64MB ram, otherwise this is a not bad wm6 phone in terms of price and quality

  • According to and some other pages they have actually a VGA display. This would be even better.

  • I have been using P750 for the past 3 months , its a good PDA phone ,especially for those who love to use T9 for your writing your sms , email and etc. The one I dislike this ' its HANG all the time ' . My P750 hang especially when receivimg email . I sent it to Asus for updatimg new problem but the problem unchange .

  • to rickcool no(you cant change languages is windows mobile menu.)you need to flash your device with a English windows

  • Hi a am a palm user and would like to convert to a windows based PDa.any comments if this phone is able to convert/import the previous files on palm like notes, contacts calender etc to the asus 750

  • I have used Asus P535 for more than a year. Now I have bought the P750 and I guess this is the best decision I have taken. As I am travelling a lot communication is very important. I have installed Skype mobile version on the phone and I am calling cheaply where ever there is a wifi or 3G network available. The voice is very clear. In few other phones I used Fring for internet calling which also works very well. But sometimes echo and delay is too much. One of the best thing on the phone is the GPS. When I updated the GPS over the internet the phone only took 2 seconds to lock on the satellites. Guys if you are interested in this phone please do not hesitate to buy it. I am not too keen to take photo on phones. but the photo on this phone is quite reasonable. I have used HTC Touch Dual Nokia E90 (very good xcept GPS) Nokia E61 NOkia E60 Nokia 9500 Communicator. O2XdaII and a lot more also this phone is a looker tks

  • been using the phone for over a week. i have not installed other softwares on it yet. everything is good. phone is stable. i've only reset it 2x or 3x. much much better than my nokia n80. 64mb ram doesnt bother me. i'm a heavy user on contacts n appointments. active sync works much much much better than the nokia pc suite sync. great 1 hand operation on this phone. superb while driving or on the move. so u guys whos comtemplating btwn this phone n htc, i would say just go ahead n get this phone. no regrets dude... cheers

  • hello people, I have one question for those who own this nice phone:is it possible to change the OS language from the menu?or the phone comes just as english,german..etc.language? Thanks.

  • Here is a vedio Review and first unboxing vedio of P750:

  • Hi Andrea!!! The Asus P750 is a triband GSM phone - supporting 900/1800/1900 MHz bands only. It doesn't support the 4th band i.e. 850 MHz. The US GSM network supports dual-bands 850/1900 MHz bands. That's why this phone might not work in the US. This is a big disadvantage with this phone. Otherwise, I still think that this is one of the best handhelds available today - both feature-wise and performance-wise.

  • Hi $@m, Ya i checked out the HP ipaq 614...it is indeed better than the Asus P750 in features...but I am not sure abt the performance of the Hp ipaq one...i had the Asus P750 for a few days and it is indeed a great PDA..much faster than any of the other competitors in terms of CPU speed...plus the physical numeric keypad is a great advantage in both these phones...

  • Hi! Crazy4pdas HP iPAQ 614c has HSPDA (850,900 and 2100) which is way better than Asus P750 .you might wanna check this out at www.pdadb.net

  • Bought this phone last week and its the best PDA phone I have used till date... and I have owned quite a few... including the I-mate, O2 and the leader of the pack HTC. This beats them all ahnds down.

  • This phone supports UMTS 2100 only? American telecom operators support UMTS 850 & 1700...at least that's what I am aware of...can someone let me know whether this phone would support 3G in USA? Thanks!!!

  • First vedio review of Asus P750 here: But its in Russian.

  • not bad at all comparing to touch cruise !!! and cheaper too ! In Malaysia retail price @ RM 2690.00 ... anywhere cheaper than this ? pls state it

  • Showing comping soon but availble readly in india. at Rs 29000/- i.e $ 750. very good phone used for a month amazing, Please update you database

  • To everyone, I would like to inform everyone that the PPCSG forum from Singapore has started the Part 3 thread, look below

  • Bad, no flashlight, no FM, no joy (no games), no 128mb memory (((

  • I love this phone. By the way any of you guys here know where to get the accessories for asus in singapore? like cover & stylus? PS: the battery P750 using is the same as the prveious model.

  • I know how to close applications free RAm etc etc etc and I was using MemMaid as well. The phone has a hardware issue actually and is being replaced completely by the manufacturer. I think most people who choose a feature packed phone like this one know how to close applications, mate.

  • This is the best Phone with perfect features. I have been using it since last 2 months. It does not hang if you know how to manage your applications. I always close the applications once I finish using it and free the RAM.

  • Status Available

  • Can the battery changeable? thinking to get 1, but is it worth to buy this expense toy with so many hang complain?

  • Asus P750 hard reset:

  • An update on my P750. The phone ahs gone for repair with Asus under warranty .The hanging got worse- the data connection went , the phone connection went, I lost all my contacts- 500 plus and I lost all my pictures on my card becausee after hard resetting 3 times- the phone refused to restore PIM . I had to trouble shoot with the dealer several times andspent hours in th shop over this phone. It also cost me a lot in data charges because the 3G GPRS would connect over WiFi even when WiFi was connected . Needless to say ,i am sad and fed up considering the expense of the phone and it is only 1 month old . I will still say this is the best PDA phone on the market right now. When it works ,it's brilliant and when it does not, it's an utter nightmare.

  • I experienced the same hanging problem everyday, especially when answering calls during GPS running. Though I like the features and functions the phone provides. The GPS is wonderful.

  • Thanks for the replies. In that case, I'll have to wait for a stable firmware upgrade before purchasing this phone.

  • Right ! It hangs once a day....may be the processor or something. I don't know why..even though I didn't install that much application...That sucks..... I am thinking to sell it back...who wants to buy it ? I'll go for HP iPAQ 614c .... hopefully better than that creepy phone..

  • My P750 hangs all the time- every day ,at least once. I normally soft reset daily- about twice and the worst was 5 times.i found inatalling MemMaid helped but no doubt this phone hangs anyway . I still think this is the best PDA phone on the market depsite this and the 64 mb RAM. Writing emails, texting is a dream on this phone with the keypad and XT9.

  • How is the phone going in terms of hanging? With everything aside, this is probably one of the most important things for me. The P525 that I am using now has only hanged twice in 1 year and this is why I love it so much.

  • Can someone pls enlighten me why I always encountered hang on my ASUS P750?

  • The new ROM (V4.8.1) for Singaore, Malaysia & Thailand will be available next week

  • Latest Review with tons of closeup pics of this device here:

  • That's right ...same old things...if they the keep doing same old way ....Asus is way far to go compete with some giant PDA manufacturers...

  • For Christ sake, that's THE SAME phone as 525 or 535! There's NOTHING new in it. Same old platform. Same old Marvell processor. Same tiny 64 RAM. The bluetooth stack (MS) is worse than in 535 (Widcomm). Same slllloooowwwww usb connection. Same old SIRFStarIII (good one). Same old tiny 320x200 screen. This is a 2-year old phone with 2005 characteristics. Are smartphone manufacturers going to use old 64mb memory modules, old processors and old tiny screens forever? Or,perhaps if we the customers will stop buying old crap labelled as new, they'll finally come out with something really new?

  • is the 64mb memory a BIG issue/??? doest the phone freeze because of it??? regular freeze?

  • is the 64mb memory a BIG issue/??? doest the phone freeze because of it??? regular freeze?

  • To: Ashu Bought the phone in South Asia Computer (Funan IT Mall) for 1180 Singapore dollars. I bargain to include 4GB MicroSDHC (instead of the free Singapore map)and Clearview screen protector for P750.

  • **For Ashu** You can get that phone in South Asia Computer at Funan Digital Mall (Near City Hall MRT). the price is S$1188

  • i got it 3 days ago, GPS works great 10, voice 10, reception 10, speed 10.... i mean its the best phone ever !!! keypad just perfect!!!

  • this is for Mr. PIXO i wanted to know where did you get the phone Asus P750 from singapore and for what price

  • The keypad is excellent- if you message alot - it's absolutely great. it's one of the biggest plus points of this phone - WM6 plus a great keypad - how many WM6 phones are candybar with a great T9 keypad ?

  • Bought the phone in Singapore while in transit for SGD1180 with free 4 GB card and screen protector. Overall rating 9/10. I'm very satisfied with the purchase. GPS is very good. Can't compare with Kaiser as I don't have it but I installed Tomtom navigator and GPS locked in in less than a minute while inside the house. Performace wise, it's fast but sometimes it hangs up and this usually occurs when two applications process at the same time but I'm confident that Asus will provide updates on this later on. I didn't experience any memory problem inspite of being just 64 MB Ram. Just a note though, don't install the latest update Asus release this Decemeber about battery life, if you use SDHC card as it hang's up.

  • serious question..does this phone vibrate? how strong is the sensation?

  • PPCSG forum has started the 2nd part of thread for this device

  • I bought it at funan IT mall(SGD 1188) This phone has a few bad things and good things Good things Excellent GPS Camera is not bad Java (Jbed built in) Bad things Screen is small (HP iPAQ 610c has 2.8") Keypad design is the same with Sony ericsson K790 (too hard to press) (iPAQ has better keypad) RAM size is only 64MB (iPAQ 614c has 128MB) USB transfer rate is slower than HP (HP has 480Mbit/s iPAQ 610c has Qualcom MSM6280 gpsOne Qver all ......don't buy it....it's for girl I am selling back..... if you want to compare (Asus P750 and HP iPAQ 612c)-- go check at www.pdadb.net

  • What I saw in Funan IT mall is S$1188. Free Singapore Map for gift.

  • I don't think someone bought it like SG$800. It was just a fake information. May be more than that who know? Why people are posting false information? I don't get it

  • for people who own this phone.. do girls look at you when talk with this phone?

  • *For Users from Singapore* This afternoon, i saw that P750 in Funan IT Mall (South Asia Computer). The price is SGD 1188. Free Gift is "Singapore Map".

  • I found french review.

  • i'm very glad and fortunate to have this pda phone coz,i've been waiting for this kind of pda phone with keypad phone that is similar with common hp..this makes me very easy to text while on driving.it's not as typical pda phone that only use touchscreen or qwerty for using sms..it's also bundled with 2GB memory card...to compare with other pda phone, i think this phone come up with a lot of sofwares that make this pda phone more interesting accordingly...i just bought this beloved pda phone for the last 2 weeks and as of today it has worked very well..well done Asus..

  • Oh , it's good PPC , but i don't know why it have usb 1.1??? other mobile phone and PPC are have usb 2 :-( It's very bad.

  • @Kenny Loke maybe it hangs with you because you use too many applications at the same time? maybe more than 2 apps?

  • More & more people are using this phone now

  • it seems great but it should've been: - 128 ram - better battery that could last long such as HTC TyTN II those extra features would've made this the best windows mobile phone so far

  • I bought this because of the specs advertised. It's a complete phone with HSDPA, WIFI, GPS, 3MP camera... But it's a total disappointing experience for me. I'm so regreted to trade in my HTC3600i for this phone. The phone is so unstable and it HANGS frequently. Sometimes you have to soft reset the phone 2/3 times and you'll miss your calls/sms. Forget about using it as a PDA/GPS. It'll HANG after a few clicks. I've contacted ASUS tech support in Malaysia and the joke is they do not have the phone to rest the problem! Thumbs Down!!!

  • Checkout this latest review.. it has details on packaging with pics of whats included in the box:

  • Review already available at Good that it come with GPS

  • What you need 128MB RAM for? Have you ever faced any problem with 64MB RAM? Was their any malfunction? What you run like 1800 appliactions at one time????!!

  • htc tytn2 supports garmin xt .... do check it

  • Is this latest N70 phone? Cos i like it.

  • This thing selling @ RM2600 at Low Yat Plaza

  • It's very beautiful. Resmen bittim;)

  • Realy great and allround phone. Finaly a dream come true for all bussines oriented people. Can't wait to buy one.

  • Hello everyone. Is this phone is compatible with Garmin Mobile XT navigation software for its internal GPS receiver? Thanks for any advise.

  • I wish GSM arena will make a review of ASUS phones specially this phone...

  • Windows mobile does have handwriting recognition. If it is your first touch-screen phone then it will be fine. But if you have used a symbian touch screen phone before, you'll find that WM requires you to slow down so it can detect your writing while symbian allows you to write as fast as you want. But even with that said, handwriting is probably the only thing that symbian phones have that are betten than WM touch screen phones.

  • has this phone been beaten up with an ugly stick?

  • is there no Handwriting Recognition?

  • the best phone i've seen, great phone

  • no FM radio?

  • I don't know about you guys, but I'm tired of seeing the girl's face when I search for photos of this phone. Here is a forum in Taiwan that has more pics on the phone with a few close-ups. It doesn't seem as cool as the 525 but the functions are better I guess...

  • lacks look's

  • let's hope that Asus manufacture a good joystick on this phone

  • it does look like the n70. so what? the n70 has a very nice form factor: succinct and very handy... and probably this phone will behave the same way too... it copied the n70's form factor and even improved the fascia with a very nice finish. the looks department is highly subjective but the specs sheet is very impressive. wifi, gps (how often do we use this anyway?), good battery life, generous display, HSDPA and satisfactory processor and computing power are some of the features we generally want from a PDA. if this phone falls into an agreeable price range, then it will surely be a winner. i just hope that ASUS improves their marketing strategy, which I think is one of the flaws of the company leading to poor visibility and product recognition. as with other pocket pc phones, it has 2 obvious advantages over the N95: the convenience of touchscreen navigation esp when scrolling and panning of images and documents, and tons of MS-based applications that you have been accustomed to use... the battleground is plain and simple when deciding to own a sophisticated phone/device: pocket PC vs Symbian s60. the potential of these devices are maximized depending on the owner's ability to add apps that take full advantage of the device.

  • looks like the sony-nokia P1...

  • Why bother about copied design? Its a norm now. Asus come out with good PDA phones as far as concern.

  • If ASUS has maintained at least 2.8" screen size (or even larger), then P750 would be my next PPC. Nowadays, bigger screen is more attractive because of web surfing, playing various videos.

  • Once again. Mini-USB is NOT comparable to USB. Colors, fine, but I don't find it necessary for that many colors to be on a screen this small.

  • You cant hate on the N70.....in its day it was state of the art.......i.e three years ago. Your just mad you didnt get it when it was hot.

  • put usb 2.0 and 256k display and im buying in place of N95.

  • they copied the n70 design

  • A lot of you guys are not reading properly. It's Bluetooth 2.0 and USB 1.1 Bluetooth 2.0 is fine and nothing is wrong with it. USB 1.1 means that it is not a mini-USB anymore and probably can read memory sticks. Not that many phones have USB instead of mini-USB.

  • does anyone know more details about the release date?

  • according pdadb ("http://www.pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=804") it has radio (also TMC is supported)!

  • It's Great I have bought it. i love it rock on ASUS

  • I have had P505, I have P535, I WILL HAVE P750!!! To have ASUS or to die!!! Other opinions are wrong!

  • Sad, It does not have any radio

  • you guys are making all this stupid comment about this phone, first of all it's not and N70, and it does not even look like an n70, also what is wrong with usb 1.1? it's not that slow, and wtf TV? who need that on the phone? you must be nets to watch tv on the small screen, get a really 40" plasma and watch it at home. also about the memory card, there is the 4GB micro sdhc, that's alot space for the crap you want to curry with you... and it use windows mobile 6 professional, if you have not use it, then don't make a comment about it, but other wise you probably don't want to use nokia anymore. the purpose of this phone is for business use, it's not for music or photo, it has all the function that business critical needs. and it has wifi, also as for the GPS, its build into the phone, and it works very well, come with a call filter, you can filter the call you recieved and put number on the black list, so when ever they call you, they can't get thought.

  • Special Thanks to Brayan for your post.

  • hum... in first look keyboard looks like nokia N70 too BAAAAAAAD. this phone needs qwerty keyboard not N70's!!! this phone comes with unlimited call records & phone book (not a surprise!) , microSDHC (good! bless the 4GB!) , 520MHz cpu (highest speed) , edge & 3G (buy a N95!) , WMM 6.0P , 3.15MP Camera , GPS , 6hour talk time these are the best things that I can find. there are some BAAAAAAAAAAAAD features! like 65K display! I don't respect 16M display, but at least 262k?!?!?! 64MB SDRAM??? are you a cave man?!?! this is 2008 my son! not 1708!!! USB 1.1??? For SDHC??????? USB3 is comeing you say 1.1!?!? my boy you need e card reader! huh! I'm tired... at the end some software features make me nerves! because I don't know what are they!

  • asus phones ROCK!!!! i have a P525, wich looks almost the same with this one and has almost same features and for the moment I wouldn't change it for anything. P750 is definetly going to be my next phone!!! YEY

  • The phone does look like the old n70 with different guts, though.

  • Other site says this has FM. Which is correct?

  • QVGA screen?! 64mb RAM?! LOL Asus! What do u do, in fact?! :D

  • This phone is really great, none the less it could have really used a display of at least 256K colors and at least bluetooth 2.0.

  • nice phone...looks like n70

  • n70 :D ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha this is much much beter

  • This phone is dammn great. i think smartphones are now getting more competitive with windows mobile aiming for the top. nice phone with gr8 features

  • @kenosis - here what officially goes: "The Location Courier feature of the P750 will also help prevent users from ever getting lost by accurately and periodically reporting their position to their pre-defined friends' contacts. Even in locations with vast, open country, the global GPS network will always be able to locate the user making this handy PDA phone the best safeguard for their daily safety."

  • look like nokia n70

  • Any FM receiver? What is "Location Courier"?

  • It's beats hp 610 by the 2nd camera. But what about gps is it an addition or built in?. If it's the 2nd case then major draw back. Hp 610 navigation wheel looks more fun and practical in handling. Finally why hsdpa 3mb not 7mb.

  • What is "Location Courier"?

  • I am waiting for HP iPAQ 614c to compare with Asus P750. I will choose one of them.

  • looks nice.. cant wait to put my hands on it. only laks of TV out or else.. TV reciever

  • Asus is just trying to compete with HP. this phone reminds me a lot of HP 610c. anyway, the hp is, i think, a better phone.

  • Looks more like some other well known phones, Asus try and unique, we need to see new looks,we don't want to make a mistake with your great phones

  • nice compact machine but still looks cant be all earlier machines by asus were not so comfortable when it comes to size, lets see how the GPS part plays along?????

  • Bluetooth 1.1? too bad!!

  • not bad

  • Needs a qwerty keypad and handwriting recognition. Otherwise it's a decent device

  • looks great this phone. may an alternative to "htc tytn II", "hp ipaq 614" or nokia phones.
