I had bought Zenfone 6 from Ebay India online on6th April 2015 with the Price of Rs.14905.The phone being 2GB RAM & 13MP Camera, along with the 3300 MAH it was a good experience at the start of 2015.But after sometime it started giving problems like not getting on, no recognition of Touch, frequently restarting on its own, low voice, and heating problem. I have got it checked with various vendors for getting it repaired. The ASUS outlet at Dombivali even advised me to exchange it with another mobile. Moreover the spares were also not available. Now at this moment the handset gone dead and there is no sign that it will revive. Lastly I would like to SAY DO NOT BUY ANY CHIENESE PHONE EVEN IF THEY ARE COST COMPETITIVE BETTER TO BUY OTHER BRANDS BUT NOT CHIENES ONES.

Exactly after 2yrs my zenfone 6 started with the wired issue , the below 3 button wont work some time and i have enable the one hand operation mode and then start using the Soft keys . Same happened to one of my colleague also . :-)

I have also encountered these problem DEAD Zenfone 6for a few years.Flash wrong bootimage ..u get blur Logo image.Flash wrong fastboot image will also make u feel like smash these phone.I keep trying every month with new firmware,old firmware etc...But the result finally came to life when i used the full raw firmware with fastboot in it.Damn...i have never feel happiest in my life.Dont give up.

I loved my ZenFone 6 when was new, big screen, decent specs, perfect phone! been 2 years with it and in the middle of this year it began with the SD card Problem, unexpected removal of SD card, what a bummer, the option to have expandable memory it's a decision maker when buying this phone, now it's so annoying to have a sd card, I just removed it and went internal memory only, by the way it's becoming unstable, something to do with digitizer or screen, it flickers sometimes, as may become crazy, need to reset or turn it off and on again at least twice in a day, its this programmed obsolescence? Now I doubt to get the new ASUS 3, I had an LG phone before this one and its going to 5 years working flawless, I mean, I needed to change it because the specs were aging and was too slow, but, hey; still working perfect, now my ASUS ZenFone 6 its almost unusable, the relation price value for the ZenFone 6 was very good, but these issues that I suspect its hardware, make me wonder if I must spend more and get a LG V10 instead the ASUS 3 deluxe that I was planning to acquire, take note ASUS, you losing a fan here...

hey, i know. go to asus.com then click service then click support then enter your phone model , then click the phone model, and it will show you some options, click the drivers and tools and then click your os, (must be android) then click firmware and download these first choice [Version WW-3.24.40.87(MR13.1 andriod L)] it miust be ww, not cw or tw. ww means worldwide. now download it, it says download from global, click global and it will start to download, then it may take a couple of hours, once it is downloaded connect your phone on your computer, then copy the file to the internal storage, and when you plug out the cord it may notif your phone that there is an update for your firmware and os. so that's it. follow the instructions said by your phone. and it will turn off and update. godbless! i hope it may help :)

unless you have a Z002 version there is no reason to upgrade. the 5.01 rom is horrible compared to te 4.3 rom. Id happily trade in my Z002 for a other model so i dont suffer from the battery issue under 4.3 as it lasted waaaay longer and was more stable and faster.

Been using this phone for 1 year now, and I really liked it at first, even though the battery was very short(3300 mAh battery,doesnt make sense), but recently I started have multiple problems, like not detecting the SIM card randomly, the touchscreen going nuts randomly and extreme heat when playing games. I've searched before what could possibly causing these issues and apparently KitKat seems to be the root of all evil. Also Intel chipset. So right now I wouldnt recommend it. I'm actually looking for a substitute and found the LG G4 Stylus interesting, would like some comments about it or some advise which smartphone would be the next logical step from the Asus Zenfone 6.

Download the update to your phones main folder (so not within another folder) and reboot. The Phone should see the update and ask if you want to update.

But frankly if you do not have the known battery display incorrect problem di no upgrade it took an hour of my screen on time. Frankly id set it back top 4.3 if i could withou this lame battery display that was 20% better in battery life.

Hi. Can anyone help me out? My asus zenfone 6 suddenly started flickering vertical lines every 2-3seconds. It has never been dropped or wet. It continues to flicker everytime the screen is on. you need to manually copy the firmware file from ASUS website to your internal storage device. download the firmware at asus website and follow the instructions. but be warned there is a risk that you might brick your phone (as i did mine). now my zenfone 6 usb port is not working after upgrading to lollipop with version 3.24.40.87.24. lastly check if your zenfone 6 is _WW_ or TW or CN.

For comparison, my on-screen time only reaches 2.5-3 hrs. when playing online games in kitkat. Now i can reach 4 hours in lollipop with exactly the same online game. When I use my phone with no gaming at all, with no data or wifi, my on-screen time can reach 5 and a half hours. I'm using ShutApp, Auto-Start Manager, and power saver enabled.

As I really like this phone, it's size, UI and price/performance, I was really disappointed that Asus doesn't have any plans to deliver Marshmallow to Zenfone 4/5/6. First version Zenfones were released only last year! A year later Asus doesn't have any plans to upgrade them to newest Android version. It's a shame. Although I really like my Zenfone, thanks to Asus upgrade policy it's more than clear that when I will be looking for a new phone, Asus won't be even considered.

Have you tried updating to lollipop? Im using zenfone 6 also and my battery is better in lollipop compared to kitkat. The lollipop update offers better power saver mode and auto-start manager. Also, try to install ShutApp for free from playstore. It works like greenify and it's tested effective based on my usage. The latest update of lollipop also offers themes. You can now install themes that are compatible to zenfone 2. Try it.

Has anyone tried installing ShutApp from google play? It works like greenify. I'm a zenfone 6 user and mine runs lollipop. No heating when I play online games...just a bit warm. I put a shutapp widget on my homescreen and tap it before gaming. It really works. I just make sure when I play games, no other apps running in the background. Just remember to add on the whitelist the apps that needs important notification like facebook, or launchers. Also in lollipop, Asus is nice enough to add Auto-start Manager. This really helped my battery in standby. My zenfone 6's battery only eats 2 percent overnight. My onscreen time now can reach up to 4.5 to 5 hours when playing online games, compared to kitkat which I can only reach 2.5 hours.

No offence but people should stop crying about heating. Unless your made of ice the so called "heat" phones and tablets create NEVER feel uncomfortable and are NEVER a issue. I have never heard of a Phone dying because it was to hot and i doubt this will ever happen. Ive never had a device get to hot just warm which is fine. A cup of tea is way hotter and people dont seem to be having issues with that.

as i decided not to go back to this Phone as my main Phone as its simply to big to carry as a man without manpurse i decided to upgrade from 4.4 to 5.0 And sadly i once more haveto conslude just like the update from 4.2 to 404 that battery life took a significant hit. People that know me from the 4x hd and G2 forums know i have great battery life and serious tweaking going on. It cost me atleast 75 minutes screen on time ging from 4.4 to 5.0 while going from 4.2 to 4.4 cost me just over 70 minutes screen on time. So going from 4.2 to 5.0 my battery life took a massive 145 minutes sot hit! thats almost 2.5 hours sot or 25% decrease in battery life! so anyone wanting to update think not twice but ten times before EVER updating your Phone to a newer android as i ahve after 5 years NEVER found any android update that actualy gave me MORE battery life. Both google and every single manufacturer of mobile phones and tablets should be highly ashamed of the practice they have going past 5 years. my new battery life is barely 7 hours screen on time with no simcard in the Phone and wifi off when screen is off in 2 days standby and power save mode on ultra (extra dimmed screen) . So not only is it less with this update i also run lower brightness no wifi when screen is off and i have no data active. i can only imagine how bad it is when i put a simcard in it and leave wifi on when in standby and disable energy saving... im fairly sure it will dip under 6 hours sot. With 4.2 i had over 9.5 hours sot sadly i cant use that software as it had broken battery software.

Did you even read the manual and specs. Both slots support different sims and every phones supports different frequencies. You most likely didnt bother to take the tme to do research and see of your network is supported. I get over 8,5 hours screen on time and 3 days stanby time with this Phone so if you think battery sucks your using it wrong. Dont blame the Phone for your mistakes.

we cant see what your Phone is doeing. remove apps turnoff syncing bluetooth and so on and then check idle drain over 12 hours. Only then you can see what causes it. But 10 hours to charge is just not needed it should be full in less then 5 hours easy. mine lasts over 4 days standby with 7 to 8 hours screen on time but i dont use sync bluetooth have it on 2g as tis fast enough here i use min brightness. i have so called power save mode off as its useless nd i also have the detect draining apps off as all it does is cause draining. manual operation of the Phone can as much as double your phones battery life. So syncing all crap in the background like mail facebook and other crappy apps is a verry bad thing for your battery. GPS is a killer on the battery as is gaming and high brightness. Learn to read the screen on lower brightness. Its hard at first but your eyes will ajust to it and its also better for your health and sleep rythm. By all these little tweaks your Phone will still work fine if you check manualy but lasts a lot longer. Some uage like gps if you need it cant really be prevented and you should take the loss. Thats the same on EVERY Phone and some things just drain batterys. Also if you have unexplainable drains after charging. unplug after full charge and reboot the Phone. My LG G2 has this weird issue. if i charge and unplus it will start draining 10 to 15% a day extra but after the charge > unplug > reboot > it works flawless without any drain. I generaly use my phones till they shut down do often i dont notice but if i charge before empty drain is guaranteed... So clean the hpone and start analyzing the drain. whatsapp is generaly verry effecient so dont worry about that app.

Had this phone 12 months now and love it. Big keyboard suits my gorilla fingers. Big screen easy to read and great for movies otg. Fantastic camera - can finally use digital zoom and see it sharpened unbelievably so the images are still very sharp and clear. Great battery life. Dropped it 3 times so now looking for replacement and cannot find anything better in this price range so will stick with this model. It does everything I want and at an affordable price.

its possible your Phone port /usb cable plug is dirty clean it carefuly and try again. Its a problem that ive seen occur on pc's with dust and hairs in the port making current able to go to other ports. also try another charger and cable. it does NOT matter if you use a 500mah or 1,35a or 2.0a charger the Phone decides its charge current anyway not the charger.

1. its not the battery thats overheating infact NOTHING is overheating its just getting hot overheating kills things heating is normal. Its the intel chip that gets hot as doen every other chip when playing games its the nature of the beast. 2. its all your fault then you should manage your apps and install software that kills apps that should not be active. Theres most likely a lot of bad apps that keep the cpu active in that bunch. My zenfone 6 lasts over 8 hours screen on time with 4 days standby with whatsapp syncing all day long and wifi and 2G Always on.

Been using this phone as a spare for almost one year as spare. Now selling because warranty is over. A good phone but to me, not as good as my Lumia 1320. Yeah, I know Window Apps sucks because its apps lesser that its 1 million + google play. I know, I know, why do you think I use it as a spare. I still use the Android Jellybean. My issues with Zenfone 6, is as follows, 1. Its battery overheats when playing games (In this case, I mostly played Angry Bird Star Wars 2) and sometimes it automatically shuts down when its too hot. 2. Battery doesn't last long(About 3 hours) even when its on standby when there's too many apps and games installed in it. (I've installed about 9GB of Apps). Only when some apps and games was uninstalled, the battery last longer. (There was never an issue like this with my Lumia 1320 even with 500+ apps and games installed) And this this the only issues I've got with Zenfone 6.

To install lollipop go to asus site Step 1: Download the firmware from Asus website directly on your Zenfone 6 . Cut paste the zip file from the Download folder and copy it outside the download folder into the Internal SD. (Do not extract the zip file) Step 3: Then restart your phone by pressing Power button. It will show you an option to Restart . After restart the phone will show a triangle notification on the status bar . ( If you do not get notification, disable data and reboot) Pull down the notification panel and you will see that a system update is available. Tap on that you will get this prompt to select the update package as below. Select OK. You will get a warning that your battery should be atleast 15% charged. I would advise that you charge above 25%. Select OK to start the update process. The phone will reboot to Boot loader and begin updating. After updating the phone will reboot again and show that the Android apps are getting updated. This may take sometime . The overall process may take around 10 mins.(mine took more than that abt 30 mints..) The phone will reboot to home screen and prompt you that the phone has been updated succesfully. You can also check the updated firmware build number from settings > about > software information MAKE SURE TO SELECT CORRECT SETUP FILE COTRESPONDING TO UR MODEL NUMBER AND FIRMWARE NUMBER

Same thing happened to my Zenfone 6. I charged it for 2 hrs. but my battery was only 42 percent. It's also hot. I checked the battery under settings and found the problem. That time my zenfone 6 was still running jellybean. I found that the phone didn't hand up. When I checked the battery, it says I had a total of 3 hrs of phone conversation even I only had 2 minutes of call time. Weird but it seems the phone didn't end my call even when I put it on stand by. That was the reason why it's hot and charges so slow. I updated to kitkat and the problem seems to disappear. If you're still running jellybean and you noticed your phone is charging very slow, try to restart your phone, then charge it again. Hope this helps.

thats not because of heat its a known issue. try disabling the lockscreen. if this fixes it download a lockscreen from the play store. it can also be another app causing this so delete apps one by one to see which causes it. i think its because of the x68 platform this Phone runs on which causes some issues.

its not abnormal for the Phone to take 4.5 hours to charge to full (with its stock charger) which is only 1.35 A and keep in mind only the first part of the charge goes at full power and then it slows down to keep the battery in optimal considion and the last 10% is almost like a 200 mah drip. theres devices on ebay for a few bucks that will show you the way they charge. i think most people that charge faster suffer from the battery display bug and dont even know it. this bug makes your battery show nearly empty while its not even close to being empty so you plug the charger and ofcourse it seems to charge fast as it wasnt empty to begin with. or they use a different 2A charger and risk damage to their Phone if they do this on a daily base. @[email protected] you cant attatch photos but in order to answer we need to know brightness and screen on time. with semi optimal settings that usage at 50% should give you atleast 3 hours 15 min screen on time is my opinion.

6-7hours of charge? What are you charging, a 30,000 mah powerbank?! This phone can charge around 2 hours+ full, not starting from 0% of course. If you use a wrong adpter that have low output, chances are your phone will charge super slow. The phone adapter plays a big role here. Get a charger with 1.5A output for fast charging. It usually labelled on the charging adapter. Charging using your laptop is worst. Laptop usb output power is usually only 0.1A. USB 2.0 offers output power of 100mA(0.1A) and USB 3.0 offers 150mA(0.15A). This can brings you to 6-8 hours to fully charge a phone or tablet with 3000mah-4000mah battery. I buy myself a charging adapter with 2.0A output for faster charging. It should have label like '5v - 2.0A'. Tablet charger usually have this rate.

Bought this few months ago and in all aspects except its great except gaming and battery life. 30 hours is irrelevant data. screen on time,gaming or no gaming, wifi and 3g signal quality, the about or crappy software like facebook you have installen en gps usage all decide how long you do with your Phone and what your total use time till charge and screen on time is. i can easely get 100 hours standby and 8 hours screen on time. but then again i have brightness set to minimum as i find it enough i dont game i dont need gps and i dont install bad apps and my wifi and 2G signals are optimal. and yes i use 2g as its enough for whatsapp and is more then twice as efficient as 3g. and they are both Always on.

FYI, the 13mp of Zenfone 6 is actually the ratio of wideness when u view in your phone. The actual mp for Zenfone with best ratio will be 10mp which u can choose from the setting. Note that Zenfone 6 is using Panasonic lense unlike other phone in the market, which mainly using Sony BSI lense. After the camera update from ASUS, the low light ambient plays a very good function when taking photos under low lighting.

Hi I bought the zenfone 6 about 5 months ago. The screen resolution is good, speed is good, generally I am very happy with the phone performance. Except after a few weeks of using, I discovered the battery life is rather short. I need to charge it daily. I hardly use the phone during office hours. Only use it at home(night), surfing and play games(not online) for a couple of hours. I checked the battery usage and was shocked that the Android System is consuming about 50%! I sent an email to Asus and they sent my a software update and asked me to reset my phone. It was better, the batt consumption of the Android System dropped to 25% and this can last for 2 to 3 days. However, after about 3 weeks, the problem came back. The battery depletes very fast. Now awaiting for new Asus factory firmware. Disappointed.

its possible but i would not advice it. in theory your Phone only accepts the power its cirquit can handle but its not rated for a 2A input so something might break. that said i have charged my asus 7 inch tablet with a 2A charger a lot of times and its still fine even tho is has the same 1,35A charger. A Watt metere can tell you if the Phone still only accepts the 1.35A or that it will take the 2A if you use a 2A charger. if it still only uses the 2A there certainly isnt a problem. In my opinion if you dont have to dont risk it.

wel whats your brightness , gps usage , 2G/3G signal quality , wifi qiality, do you game? , what apps have you disabled/installed, are you rooted? everyone should consider rooting and disabling apps they dont need like google+ facebook maps and streetview and minimize the time that apps stay alive by forbidding them to keep the Phone active under data management. i know if my sample was working perfectly without the battery issues i have siffered i coud easely get 10 hours screen on time on min brightness which is enough for indoors. but sadly i havethe battery capacity problem and was forced to update to 4.4 and cant go back without breaking it again. everyone should stay on 4.3 if they can. 4.4 has NOTHING to offer thats interesting.

Whats the version of firmware you currently have installed? if you dont have version 2.21.40.39 thats the first thing anyone with battery issues should consider as it fixed a major zenfone battery display problem. also 8 hours is irrelevant as a number i need to know gps status , wifi and 3g usage, brightness, what apps you used and if you played games and most important screen on time in that 8 hours.

its not hot its warm. and thats just the wayit works. ever felt a adapter of a powerfull laptop thats way warmer then a Phone charger because the power in needs to be converted. that happend with resistance and that creates heat henceit feels warm. same for the battery working as intended charging created some heat but people that say it hurts their hands or its to hot to touch are either lying or made out of icecream or are just sissys haha. remember pc graphic cards regularly go to 95 degreen celcius en untill recently cpu's on a desktop did aswell so its not surprising that phones do create some warmth.

There is not a single Phone in the world that can game and not have a severe impoct on battery life its a hard reality. there is no such this as update failure. theres just peple trying to do tw/cn to ww changes or rooted users that have messed to much with the Phone and still expect it to work normaly. its ALL user error. if you touch stock apps it can no longer update normaly because it cannot find those apps to update. its like uninstalling your windows and still expecting to be able to do a upgrade rather then a fresh install. battery life is excelent if you manage your Phone normaly and dont bother with games as phones are nor made for games but just capable of playingthem at a huge trade off (battery life) in theory minimal brightness is enough ad with that you should be able to last 3 days and 8 hours screen on time (my max) but this also depends on your wifi signal and 3g signal. i only use whatsapp so set it to 2g as its less of a power hogger. wifi and 2g are Always on however. al in its theoreticly impossible with normal usageto drain the battery in 1 day as even with higher brightness and lower quality 3g signal your stillgetting atleast 5,5 hours screen on in 1 day. and if you use your Phone 5.5 hours a day you have a problem. :)

i dont know what to say the phone was lost last week and you asking suggestion now......basically its a good bye to your phone but here is something you can do...since asus does not have protection/alerts like samsung/apple device does so you cant trace with phone number...You need to take note of your imei number at box etc and report to police..They will talk to telecomunication provider and search for your phone location using imei you have given...but heres a trick part,some police wont care this matter as this is just a small case.

good question. the main reason i want phones to have a removable batery is becaue removing the battery and placing it in again often fixes some issues which is simply impossible with a fixed battery. i however opened the Phone and took the cover off and figured out that if i cut a square CM out of the black cover i can simply take off the battery clip and reattatch it as often as i want. just takes some balld to go and cut in the plastic cover but as its begind another piece of plastic you dont really see it anyway. as for why the do it. its rather simple new phones have a higher profit margin then a new battery. they rather sell you a new Phone each year then a new battery. like Always its pure greed and any manufacturer that tells you that is not true is a liar.

i dont get why you complain about the camera. you must be doing something wrong as its simply amazing and pretty much every review agrees that its a great camera... as for battery life you either have a cap piece of software on your Phone or no clue how long batterys are suppored to last during the usage you have. with browsing and minimal brightness which is just fine indoors it should last a bare minimum of 7 hours and video/gallery it can last up to 10 hours easely. the only problem is battery display which has bin talked about plenty of times.

Just bought this phone. The speed is awesome, style is great, camera is not really good for 13Mp, the temperature quite hot while running heavy game but it's Ok, battery drain quite fast (I kept it lock with only fb and bbm notif running, but the battery drain to 96% in 8 minutes after full charging). And the big problem is my rear camera is not not working after i upgrade to kitkat. I got no idea how to dealing with this problem, so, do not upgrade the firmware, cause lot of problem came after this. Trust me :)

i only ever drain my batterys to empty before i charge them this phones problems however has nothing to do with calibration or whatever its a software issue that makes the phones software misunderstand the phones capacity. most phones seem to think they have over 1200 mah less then the battery really is which causes issues with display of %. i believe this is caused by the software being developed for the zenfone 5 and then being ported to zenfone 4. this therie is reinforced by the fact there is lots of zenfone 5 code in the files i was able to pull from the rom. the only other devices on the planer seem to be Linux laptops which makes sense. in the core android is mostly Linux and runs on x86 cpu's just like this Phone. so what i learned from this is to never buy asus again as after 8 months its still nog fixed and never to buy x86 cpus powered phones or tablets anymore that run android. so the only fix is a better rom from asus where all zenfone 5 code is removed and battery capacity is displayed correctly.

well the solution that you said now is the procedure of battery calibration......Its basically you need to drain battery,charge them full and repeat the process several times...dont depends on apps

all in all its a pretty descent Phone specialy for its really low price. but if you decide to buy it NEVER EVER update it it gave me pretty harsh problems with the battery that so far has not bin fixed. then again it runs just fine on android 4.3 there i no need for updating really.

after the screen the gpu is the nr 1 power drainer. sadly the intel soc in this Phone is 28nm rather then 22nm which also means under load it uses a but more power. so al in all when you game you use the top 3 power drainers (screen>gpu>cpu) all at once and that will kill any battert fast. the reality is phones and tablets can game pretty good but they still arent designed for it and no battery will last long with gaming even tho some games are more power efficient then others. on my asus me173 tablet with 3300 mah battery i can play DOA for 8 hours but when i install a semi 3d game it drops to 6 hours and when i play a 3d shooter it drops to 4,5 hours. gaming just drains battery up to 2x as fast.

there is no such thing as battery calibration. every time you remove the plug on full charge it resets the file. all these battery calibration apps do absolutely nothing. this is a software error mostly caused by updating firmware. i most likely have found a fix but im still testing further before i will confirm it. but it basicly means screwing open your Phone drain it to 1 or 2% and pull the battery from the Phone then restart the Phone and if correct it will show the remaining % of the charge correctly (mine went to 37%. then continue draining your battery till it shuts down and then just charge the Phone and mine since (3 charges now) does not drop fast anymore and lasts over 7 hours each charge and i might have drained it faster then my regular 8 and a half hours because i went to facebook and scrolled trough pictures non stop so it loaded a lot more pages then you would on normal use without pause. so so far this seems to work wonders. charge drops smooth to 1% and shuts off after 1%. you will get some apps complaining about time as for some reason the Phone will lose time and date. soset those first and then open apps.

sorry but thats just bollox. the one time this Phone worked correctly for me i had it last 3 days 5 hours and had a screen on time of 8 hours and 22 min. in a single day and 16 hours i had it last 9 hours 2 min screen on time. thats with wifi Always on and data set to 2G as edge is fast enough for my whatsapp needs. so that is what this Phone is capable off. that was unrooted and intweaked btw. the apps on this Phone do NOTHING so i found rooting to mater little on this Phone. however this Phone does have serious software issues that prevent battery from being displayed accurately. i once hit 9 hours of charger and 1% with 4 hours screen on on which it lasted another 4 hours and 20 min on 1%. so 90% of the people thinking they have battery issues have issues with the battery display instead.

Juz got this phone yesterday. Gosh the size of this phone is big. So far everything goes smooth. The camera is good for low light.... simply amazing. As for batt.... i am not a gamer so got no issues. Wifi n 3G too working well. And most of all the price is super cheap than samsung or iphone.

Wow! What a great phone. Feature wise its worth the money. Intel processor is so smooth. No video lags also. The most important thing is the battery backup. I recharged it overnight upto 8am. From 8am to 9:30 pm the battery use was 90% on continuos 3G on. That too without a battery saver app. Thats 13.5 hrs of moderate use with watching videos, listening music, facebook and watsapp going on inbetween. Just awesome and worth 3300mAh. The magic of battery starts after reaching below 30% on indicator.

im a fan of lg g variant,i have both lg g2 and g3...basically i dont know about this lg g3s so far until you mention...lg g variant always good with their premium design especially lg g3 and some good features like knock on..This lg g3s is like mini version of lg g3 so i think you cant see much difference on appearance but more on specs...so far the spec of lg g3s lower than zenfone 6.....So its up to you but if you want more specs and features,just add little money and buy lg g2..totaly worth it..

well seriously it depends on you but i will give some suggestion... design:htc desire more premium to me than zenfone price:obviously zenfone 6 is cheaper than desire 820 processor:lower than zenfone 6(1 ghz,1.5) display:zenfone(6 inch ips display),htc desire(5.5 lcd display) gpu:little bad gpu on htc desire,might not work efficiently on some games. ROM&RAM:both are same camera:both have same rear camera but htc desire have 8mp front camera..Note:htc desire 820 offer 4 modes only but zenfone offers 18 modes like hdr,low light mode,depth of field etc... Battery:htc desire(2600mah) may be having battery issue for some poeple due to its 5.5 lcd display...the battery on zenfone(3300 mah) might hold long enough.. Basically,these two phones are really good phone for their price.I have both of them and didnt regret until now.Both works good without any lag etc.

Yeah i agree too sometimes because it will be lot faster and can do multitasking effectively...it does have hyperthreading but it wont be like real quadcore processor.Anyway we need to consider the price you pay because what we pay its what we get...you get great spec with good price here and ofcourse you might find more cheaper on lenovo but the thing is they using chinese processor and they lack in some qualities...they even dont get official updates..

The speaker are really low like you said but its projects better sound than normal phone does when you playing normal song..since its having this problem,so playing music you need to be careful because some music wont be nice and will harm your speaker..my friend had same phone and the speaker gone because of this issue..

Just purchased one, updated it to the latest system version OTA (as of Dec 25, 2014), I'm on KK 4.4.2, but having issues on battery.. it takes TOO LONG to charge (2.5 hours for 55% and 4.5 hours to FULL charge)? Its a amazing camera really. even in pitch dark you can take photos. they arent without noice but many other cameras cannot take any pictures at all. i really dont get why other people are having issues with it or what there problem is but i find the camera amazing.

currently firmware 1,17,40,16 but have the same experience with all 4.3 firmwares from 1.17.40,12 and up. and the 1% issue is not for everyone but with good management you should get a bare minimum of 6 hours screen on with half brightness. i however use it on minimum brightness as its more then enough. id like to dim it more but the Phone wont let me...

battery is amazing actualy. i get 9 hours screen on time in 3 days standby. there is however a VERRY irritating issue with the battery % display making you think it drains. just keep using it when on 1% you will see it might actualy last for hours. unless you have brightness to high and let gps sync and so on on and game proned simply arent ment for that. with correct use and management this Phone is amazing if you dont have the battery display issue.

I had so many phoned. No one lost its charge that much fast as the zenfone6 do. I can use other charges of usb to charge different phones but this zenfone6 only get faster charge with its own charger only. When i put my iran sim card in it it get crazy and then wifi get off and sd card disconnect. The update proccess even i0% charge are thrte not working but i seen new version available on website. Hello pino, majority of smartphone batteries today have inaccurate battery reading, because it is intended that way to prevent users from damaging their batteries. A lot of consumers believe that when their phone hits 0 percent, it is fully discharged, which is not. It still got a very small amount of voltage to prevent to prevent it from being permanently damaged. Manufacturer's intended it that way because, as I read somewhere online, a fully discharged Lipo battery will forever be dead. It's always wise to charge your zenfone when it hit 15 percent.

I think if you fully discharge a lipo battery to 0 percent, you might permanently damage it. You only fully discharge a battery if you're planning to dispose it. Maybe Asus intended that battery calibration to prevent people from damaging their batteries. Try to google, and you will learn that fully discharging a battery is not a good idea. Battery at 1 percent is very critical and there's a high risk that your phone become dead and won't turn on again, I suggest you charge your zenfone 6 when it hits 15 percent.

i know it looks frustrating but the reality is that the rest of the hardware will never be able to keep up with the speeds. So even if you have that 135 mbit link speed the rest of the hardware cant keep up. 65 mbit link speed is still a full 8 MB per second which is quite descent. Infact most websites and download services cant even deliver this speed so why build in a more power draining 135 mbit link speed wifi module that will only decrease battery life?

as said before drain it to 1% and keep using it. mabt just like mine the % reading is wrong because of a incorrect file. i can drain the battery in 4 hours screen on and then still use it for another 4 hours screen on. the battery display on this Phone is faulty on a lot of models. so its NOT draining its just displaying wrong. so keep using it at 1% if it actualy shuts off its draining otherwise its just a faulthy reading. i have a 9 hour and 2 minute screen time record even tho the reading was at 1% after 4 hours screen on spread over 2 days and 10 hours. so battery life is actualy excelent but the readings are utterly useless. sadly i cant ruturn it as i imported to the Netherlands from hong kong....

Hi all Zenfone6 uers. I need some help from you I got a Zenfone a few days back and I've noticed after the update the battery is draining faster than what is being advertised its charged at 100% and in 20 minutes the battery drains to 82% which is phenomenal, I have to charge the phone atleast twice a day. I've been using this phone for about 3 weeks. Camera is superb, battery falls a little bit short for a 3300 mah but still can last for a day or two. screen is very sharp not to mention it only has 245ppi. Gaming is very very smooth. I've been playing asphalt 8, dead trigger, nba 2k14. No lags at all. it's dual core 1.6 ghz and 2gb ram is working really well. It only heats a little but if you put back cover on your phone, you would'nt notice the heating. I highly recommend this phone.

Every glass have their weakness also the same on gorilla glass...its not unbreakable.It is strenghten glass that can endure more impact or scratches than the usual glass.If something hit the glass at the center the glass can endure it but not from the corner.

For anyone having issues with random short reboots (not full reboots that make you fill in password again) i think i found the cause. For the past 9 days i have bin running the Phone without a lockscreen and i havent had a single reboot. So either try to run your Phone without the lockscreen security or if yopu dont trust your coworkers,friends and family download a alternative lockscreen from the play store and see if that fixes your problem. ive not seen a single reboot since i just disabled it.

There is actualy a known battery issue where at apears to drain fast but in reality its not empty just keep using it on 1% till it drops out and you know if your Phone has a problem. The Phone doesnt read battery capacity right so if like my Phone it shows 2070 mah its draining 30 to 35% to fast and then stands on 1% for a few hours screen time. this aperently comes from OTA updating your Phone (so once more proves my dont update whats working theory) i posted this before but since i have not bin able to find a fix. i yesterday downgraded roms back to 1.17.40.16 as my Phone came from factory but the software now thicks the battery is 2044 mah so it has gotten even worse. when i figure this out i will post a fix or if not fixable ill ditch the Phone and let everyone know asus screwed up. I have contacted asus but they toold me they were working on it which i simply do not believe as this problem is over 6 months old and they still havent bothered fixing it. When googling this is the only Phone with android tat even has this problem and the only other devices are Linux laptops which android is based of off. as this device has a x86 cpu rather then a arm cpu that might be the reason this Phone has this problem.

Thats because EVERY Phone will break if it falls from 1 meter on the correct spot. phones are NOT unbreakable nog even when tipple coated with gorilla glass. The force on the grass is to big when it falls on a side or corner NO glass in the world wil survive a fallfor now. The solution is really simple aswell :dont drop it and buy a bumper for 2 bucks of ebay.

My mom accidentally turned on her gps on her zenfone 6 eventhough she doesn't use it. She used to charge her zenfone 6 every 8 to 12 hrs. but now after I turned it off, her battery has greatly improved around 1.5 day to 2 days. It still run on jellybean.

I recommend if someone want to buy this phone please choose A601CG because the sparepart is good and real corning gorilla glass 3 not like A600CG . Camera software is good and has many features- hdr,selfie,miniature,pnrma,beautification (it feels great),low light(3 mp only)... 13 mp is available only for video recording,hdr,selfie, panorma.video recording is good in day light. Camera performane in lowlight has some noice- but with lighting or flash it's okay.front camera is average 2mp. Camera Overall-8 / 10 hope it helps

The CPU is an Intel processor, so is not compatible with ARM based code. Intel has overcome this using a virtual engine. So, a game that requires alot of processing power on a normal, ARM based device, will require even more for an Intel based device. So, your CPU has to work harder, causing it to generate more heat. This is a reasonably priced phone, but don't expect it to do that great on ARM based, CPU intensive applications.

you clearly messed up as the battery life can be over 8 hours screen on time. im currently at 3,5 days standby 38% left and 4,5 hours screen on time so idle drain is perfect aswell. also the camera is better then 90% of the other Phone cameras on the market so if you have bad quality your doing something wrong. stop blaming phones people if yourdoing something wrong its not the phones fault.

It is run by Intel Atom chipset,adapted for smartphone. 32nm process technology... But it's OK with the heat that comes with the capable processor. It won't blow up for sure.

Hv been using Zfone6 for about 2 month. Recently update to kitkat..since then no more issue with bluetooh connection to car's hand free kit..i drive Myvi btw. Unlike previously when using jellybean.my phone always fail to connect properly with car's bluetooh function...satisfied with kitkat.

Bought the zenfone 6 in uk got it yesterday a so far it it is really good battery is ok too and i am using it as it came out of the box with android 4.3 will upgrade it in 1 or 2 days. Im using it at the moment with giffgaff at 3G is working just fine only running one sim. I think for the price, i paid GBP199 it is a great phone.

I have a Zenfone 6 for two weeks. Screen is good, battery life is good. I mainly use it for web browsing and some light gaming and the battery still have 55% after one day. Speaker is a bit soft but not a big problem if you not intend to let other people in the room to listen to the music played on your phone. Zen UI is very good. Aesthetic and fluid. Phone performance is snappy. Camera is decent.

I just bought my zenfone 6 yesterday. everything works fine. The screen is amazing, the battery is fine, camera is good.speaker is good. Everything works just fine until I try to use GPS. GPS for zenfone 6 is terribe. Unless you use GPS for everyday use, zenfone 6 is good for you.

battery life is fine if you dont have the battery display issue like me. my battery lasts 8 hours + but for some stupid reason it keeps pretending like it drains in 4 hours and then stick at 1% for another 4 hours.

I bought zenfone 6 few weeks ago. I weighted my purchase against few other options available at that time i.e. Oppo, Xiaomi, Lenovo and OnePlus One. For the price point, I concluded zenfone 6 provides more value compared to the others. Overall experience is nothing short of excellent. Tinkered with it. Upgraded from 4.3 to 4.4.2. Rooted. The two things bothered me though. Battery life is not as advertised and I don't know what to else to tinker with (not in the popular custom mods supported device).

there is NO fix as this Phone seems unable to fully shash a fresh rom. asus made a HUGE and terrible error there. the problem is in the rom and cannot be fixed unless we get a full flash. the current methods do a OTA flash which simply dont work as they dont replace ALL files.

great smartphone + powerful processor. playing games smoothly, a bit heating after a few hours playing games but maximum recorded only at 43celcius and that is normal. all app running very smooth, no delay.

-pixel density is fine... if you use the Phone normaly you can NOT see pixes and everything is sharp... -the display is verry briht so no issue with sunlight her... -kitkat is here so did you even try to update (downgrade) 4.3 is better! -every Phone will get damage why is that a bad point if EVERY device has it? trouble finding bad points i see... -heating does not affect battery life bad charge cycles do and there isnt a heating issue at all its normal and every Phone and tablet heats on high usage.

No heating, only if you play 3D games for longer, but SoC is in upper side if phone out of battery. Density is only bad on paper, in real the display is great with very good visibility on sunlight. And last, Gorrila X or Dragontrail, if your screen meet dust with sand, there is no protection, because this material is much ,,harder'' then glass fitted on your lovely phone...

to you and EVERYONE with battery life issues. if your Phone aprears to drain verry fast it might not actualy be draining at all. Ive done extencive testen and my battery life is consistant but my graph is worthless. i Always get more then 8 hours 15 min screen on time and over 3 days use on a charge. However sometimes it apears to drain in notime but its not actualy draining its a irritating bug in the software which can be fixed by restarting the Phone after the charge is complete and you removed the plug. Also sometimes its not recording screen on time which is fixed by closing the screen for 30 seconds then it will start recording screen on time again... so even tho it seems to drain fast and your on 3 hours screen on and a few % left which i had yesterday it might still go on for a long time. infact i spend over 5 hours on the last 2%. so its only the % display that is bugged it is NOT actualy draining the battery. so to everyone with batery issues try the Phone untill it shuts off and see if you have the same issue. your battery life might be fine but your display might just be bugged. This apears to be from updating the Phone (pre kitkat) if i have a fix (will try manual firmware flash soon) ill let you know but first please give me feedback is this is the same for all of you.

Solution for rooted device cannot firmware update. Go to Asus website search zenfone 6 > download and download the firmware and open the zip with androzip and put it on internal,After that go to notification bar and select the software update

I bought this zenfone 6 because of big screen and the camera. I like to take photo, and this zenfone 6 has great camera. The low light mode is the best, even samsung/iphone can't do it. I update to kitkat 4.4.2 without problem. Everything works well. update to kitkat should not give problem to this phone. I am glad take this phone. For those having problem with these phone, try reset/set to factory default. Then update to latest update. If problem still persist, contact ASUS service center.
