Asus Zenfone AR ZS571KL - User Reviews

  • Two of mime has screen bleeding two I'm on my third ones of these prices of shit

  • Sorry but this phone is a flop it always has a problem battery is terrible it was good for about a month then the phone went to shit please save ur money don't buy this phone camera isn't even as good as they claim it is phone is slow and just over all wish I could get my money back

  • Been running this phone again recently. It is still a solid phone. It is a true AR phone where you can get quality AR images. Starting to miss phones with a front home button and the integrated fingerprint reader. Battery life can be improved. Hoping for Oreo to be available for it and looking to improve on its battery life. Until then, ... just have to have a external battery pack on standby.

  • This phone is a great phone but It may not receive the Oreo Update. It should still be a very good performer with Oreo. Nougat is a smooth release.

  • Has this phone received Android Oreo or Pie???

  • Are you sure what you are saying? Do you have this kind of phone?

  • Awesome ph0ne

  • Me too Please help me

  • Terrible phone. Will never buy an Asus product again. Screen bleeding on 2 of these phones. Screen constantly freezes, and the phone get super hot with minimal use. Camera didn't have good quality, overall just terrible.

  • Unfortunately wifi not working in pakistan.what us happen.any body tell me

  • SD821 scores around 150,000 on the Antutu benchmark and has an Andreo 530 (Andreo is an anagram of ATI's Radeon). Unfortunately, Asus has decided to clock the SD821 at full speed 2.35 GHz, instead of the SD820's speed of 2.15 GHz which is what Google did with their original Pixel.

  • The price is about 750USD in our country, ridiculous.

  • With that processor, Bluetooth 4.2, lack of stereo speakers or IP rating, and 3,300 mAH battery for a 2K display, no one would bat an eye but for about $340, this is a godsend and a freakin' steal. Anyone on Metro PCS, T-Mobile or AT&T wanting a good phone but is short on change should pick this up.

  • It says 3300 mAh, not 6000...

  • I am from Singapore. And I am a headphone dealer I change phones regularly and my requirements are good ram, battery, space and screen size for regular movie watching Good thing This phone allows memory card despite having 128gb memory which is rare and awesome. Many other phones only have max 64gb. It has ear jack Ar function is a plus point though I don't used it Negative Battery is small Accessories are hard to find like case and tempered glass It gets warm fast Not many people familiar with this model In short I think this is a good phone if battery was stronger.

  • I love this phone with its powerful Snapdragon processor and Google Project Tango supported. There are only a few phone that support this amazing Project Tango thats make AR capabilities higher than other phone thus make it the rare phone with powerful feature in the market. I gonna buy this phone when I have enough money. I hope it last longer in the market until 2030 so I didn't miss to have this rare high tech phone and become one of the person who lucky enough to have this amazing phone handy. When I have enough money, I will grab this phone quickly without looking for other phone. This is my dream!

  • If this has a battery of 6000 mAh, I'm dying right now.

  • I have 8/128gb. Dropped it quite a few times already (in an incipio case), not a scratch. In fact I've almost no complaints about it, just the battery life could be better, especially when you use Tango.

  • One gets the impression the 8/128 is a myth. Vaporware unavailable everywhere.

  • One gets the impression the 8/128 is a myth. unavailable everywhere.

  • This phone cannot receive a single knock. Its glass cracks at the slightest knock. Unless Samsung that can withstand hard knocks, this phone is so fragile that u have to basically best put it on a floor to use. Hear my view: AVOID this phone. Its not worth the pain of quarreling with the Service Center which they will tell you your cracks are not under warranty and so we have to charge you a fee

  • Yes,it has Notification LED,VoLTE and FM radio.

  • Does it have a LED notification light? FM Radio? VoLTE?

  • I've had this phone since August with Verizon and its awesome. No complaints, super fast/smooth, great display, strong battery life. I also have a IP 7 Plus, G6 and a One Plus 3t.

  • 9mm is already 'unslim' extended battery life and waterproofing are the important things, and having a thin phone doesn't mean squat when you stick it in a thick protective case anyway.

  • BT headphones are for hipsters

  • This and lenovo phab2 pro support Tango . this phone is only that support google AR (tango) and google VR (daydream) which are there in flagship such as PiXel . moto z2 . s8 .... And abround ten other phones

  • I've found in the past with ASUS that the FM radio is restricted to only certain countries. Depending on the firmware it's running, it may be blocked unless you can install possibly the European version which I've found in the past to unlock the FM radio ability on my old padfone X. I always find it strange when hardware is installed only to be disabled for no apparent reason, what a waste of technology.

  • You need to plug something into the radio jack for the radio to work. Headphones. Basically you still need an antenna such as headphones. Problem is that most people use Bluetooth.

  • The specs here claim FM Radio - and I think I found *one* Asus site that says the same - Philippines I think, but no other Asus sites seem to claim it. I've tried a number of FM Radio apps and all of them claim the FM Radio is not enabled ... the Asus app for previous Zenfone versions does not work on the AR. Has anyone got FM Radio working?

  • Excuse me, I am talking about HIGH-END SMARTPHONES, that is a midranger smartphone. "HIGH-END SMARTPHONES", not midrange smartphones

  • Look at Samsung A9 Pro battery

  • I own two of these phones personally. camera is fantastic. you can get much closer small objects and focus quickly. speed is beyond any iphone, or crapware android IE: LG, samsung, google, ect. (motorola being the exception). screen is awesome, and comes with a blue filter "night mode" to keep your eyes from killing you at night. everyone wants to know about battery life im sure, its a 3300mah. not bad. if you run it hard, like any phone itll die quickly. it supports speed chargers, and typical usb c lower amp ones. id suggest a decent speed charger from verizon, and get a braided cable from cable creation on amazon due to its stock cable being SHORT and thin. strong dislike for it. but for 8$ you can get two very nice ones off amazon. WORTH IT. not a fan of the stock keyboard. i uploaded googles stock keyboard. they are similar, but google is better arranged imo.

  • is camera clearity perfect?

  • My fiance originally had the note 5 then switched to this phone. She had a few complaints about it but nothing to do with the phone, only user comfort issues(button placement, OS, Etc.) Now she rants and raves about this phone. It takes some amazing pictures, clear speaker, and have not run into any power issues. If you are debating getting this phone, STOP! just get it! its worth it!

  • Who already use this phone? We need your opinion...pls

  • SD835 wasn't released. NO,higher battery capacity will make this phone Unslim.9mm is good. IP certification too, higher thickness will make this phone ugly. it's so beautiful with it's Ultra Slim body and it's Cameras. And a leather-like body can give us a good touch sense of it's back. ASUS has a good reason for not using SD835. Good Luck.

  • An extremely good phone. With it's AR & VR feature, 5 magnet speaker, Super AMOLED display, Liquid cool tech, 8GB with 256GB ROM & a super primary camera this phone really packs the punch but there are certain features which it lacks like the fact that it has Snapdragon 821, they do claim that Snapdragon 821 is customised for Tango but Snapdragon 835 can be made it for Tango, the front camera is merely 8MP with 2.0 aperture (no flash) while considering today's trend the front camera should have been at least 20+16MP camera with 1.7 & 2.0 aperture and LED flash, ASUS Zenfone AR is quad core not octa core which is extremely shocking, the battery should have been 4010 mAh considering that it does AR & VR & lastly the phone is not IP68 certified which is the major setback considering it's price

  • Yes it's not good, but SD835 wasn't released when asus started this phone.

  • It doesn't have the best processor. 821 instead of 835. For me this is a drawback.

  • This isn't IP certified. But Tri-Cam system got lots of money. don't be sad.this price is OK.

  • This phone has some outstanding specifications and the design looked great. But isn't it a bit over priced ~649$ and it isnt IP Certified !!! :-(

  • the phone has everything but looks like its bit overpriced, Is it water and dust resistant

  • What? ASUS logo is making it beautiful.

  • Stop Joking.

  • When are we going to get a review of this phone please as it ticks just about all of the boxes for me.

  • Pure overpriced garbage, any SD835 phone will eat this as breakfast. AR is purely a gimmick, not to mentioned how fast the battery draining when you are on those features.

  • Would have been better without the ASUS logo in front of the fon.

  • best phone release till now

  • As its being released on the 14th Aug in limited qty in the uk, I Had an email asking would I like to reserve the 128gb with 6gb ram price £799.99. on paper the specs look good but for that kind of money I'll pass thank you,

  • This phone is what a mature smartphone should have and look like: - 6gb-8gb Ram is a must for Android -Normal flat display (no edge it other nonsense) -Home button -Normal 16:9 display aspect ratio I REALLY HOPE THIRD PARTY MAKERS Will Create a case battery for this phone !

  • No there is no high end phones with such big battery. Unless u want to buy crappy ASUS midrangers with 5000mah battery lol

  • Yes,the led notification is available white personality settings

  • you are a apple fanboi? a joke is on u lol. you are just not tech savvy to know what is ar or vr and even project tango. go google.. google will be your best friend.. lol

  • exactly, ppl just say things without checking facts. why do you need 5AH if you are power efficent. nowsaday electronics chip makers are going for low power designs

  • Please check which high end phone comes with 5000mah battery.

  • In Half price .....really Did you check the configuration and product features ? I sure once you check actual product you will change ur opinion. I know still tango not full flash ready with the apps and also zenfone AR is first model which support Tango AR and Google Daydream VR both. Asus has designed this product very beautifully. I am like it.

  • what?!half?are you serious?highest price is 1000$.800EUR isn't correct. don't worry :D

  • The price for this item is very high. You should consider to reduce it to half to become good price.

  • does it has radio

  • 5000mAh is for midrange phones.

  • Yes,with different colors.

  • What is the jock ?

  • I heard Asus AR used SD821 which is specially customised for Tango.

  • I think we should not expect 5000 mAH battery from every phone. most of the high end and sleek models comes with 3000-4000 mAh battery. Otherwise phone will be bulky. 3300 mAh battery is also decent but only concern is their battery backup.

  • battery 3300 with sd821? for reall man??! this joke, the battery should be 5500/6000 mah

  • really asus................ i think u forget that now days its time of snapdragon 835.... just waste of money

  • A big joke, specifications

  • Asus Zenfone AR ZS571KL - Does it have LED notification/indicator for call & sms? Any one know about this? Please reply.

  • me too.

  • I can't see the jokes on specification...

  • I can say LOL to you!!!

  • Why infrared is not provide?

  • this phone is a joke. Ar is just a feature that only about

  • Buy the 256GB version since you can afford to travel internationally also if you buy a high capacity SD card it will cost a lot as well the only difference is you can't store apps on it and it's also much slower. I wouldn't recommend this phone to begin with but if you must buy it go with higher capacity storage.

  • Underpowered and overpriced. AR is just a gimmck and it certainly does not justify the high price tag.

  • Nah.

  • I can't fit all my porn in 256gb

  • Why no review for this phone..gsmarena should review

  • Buy the 256gb version and stop complaining. If you can afford travelling internationally, no excuse you cant afford the premium version of this.

  • This phone will come with a very good battery life and with SRes Technology!!!! 120MP?!??! With SRes Technology you can Take 92MP images with a very high resolution!

  • Supper like !

  • Bro, it contains 256 gb of internal storage. How much data do you carry?? Or if not satisfied with this, then which else one is fulfilling it choices?

  • I travel a lot and work internationally. I need 2 sim cards PLUS carry a lot of data so need a memory card. Pitty you go along the way as many halfbreeds by having either second sim OR memorycard. This makes this desirable phone unusable for me.

  • Yes

  • is that a joke??

  • Let's all have a moment of silence for that estimated price.

  • This phone looks great but that price.........

  • Is it dual sim full active like zenfone 3 delux or not?!

  • hahahahahahahhahahajaaha

  • If I received a dollar for every 800 bucks phone sold by a mediocre phone company like ASUS or ZTE I'd still be poor

  • 5 to 5.2 inches is ideal size... It is big...

  • It's out in Taiwan! Priced at €738 ;-(

  • too big .

  • i think i saw that it was going to be out in July

  • I wish they did it too... waiting for the SD835. but you can't complain about it. I use the Exynos 8890 (tweaked. it runs at 2.6 GHz quad core (3 GHz if 2+4 configuration) and the A53 sprint at 1.9 GHz) it's about the same power as the SD821. and I'm not complaining. Don't buy this phone if you don't like the configuration in it. :P

  • well said.

  • Enough is enough I've waited for too long if it doesn't get released this month no more Asus ever.

  • SND835 and 5000mAh battery life, please update

  • Each increase in battery strength is simply eaten up by the increase of usage of the next 'new' phone. You will not get any more time on the phone unless all you do is sent text messages or talk on the phone. The higher res display, faster cpu, more ram, higher res pics, new technology engines will devour that extra 300 mh battery just as fast as the previous phone. The need to have replaceable batteries... Why do they want to limit your ability to do this? Waterproofing? I don't go near water with my phones. I started with Note 2, moved to note 3, then note 4. None of the newer phones lasted any longer than the 2 did. Why? It draws a lot less than the 3 or the 4. Don't be fooled by higher mh batteries. They NEED those batteries just to stay at the norm...

  • Well, these kind of companies that is not so well known they just crank it up with a 4000-5000mah battery. In the end they suffered the most for battery life. Cameras they only add in new features, but they never fix the previous features they have for the past few years

  • What do u expect. Chinese phones do the worst on battery life only Xiaomi and Huawei have good battery life phones. They will not succeed in cameras man. They add whatever 5x optical zoom or something. Yes thats good, but did they reduce noice and improve low-light? Hell no!

  • 120mp camera?!?! i am laughing like hell because of how blind u are. look at the specs first before saying. u need a eye doctor dude!

  • You should say that it has three tiny camera sensors, if tiny applies there. And, wait for the battery test results?!?! So you predict the future? All we know for sure is that at Google IO this was the only phone showcased.

  • You sound ignorant (no offense)... What he said made a lot of sense what you said on the lther hand didn't.

  • It seems to be a great phone, but why is the USB version only 2.0? Even some of their older models had 3.0, and there is possibility for having USB 3.1 in newer models. The transfer speeds of this phone will be very low in comparison to even a cheap USB drive. Apart from the transfer speeds, isn't there also a power limit that is much lower in older USB versions?

  • This phone will come with the best battery life in the market and a 120mp camera

  • it has a tiny camera sensor, and wait for the battery test result

  • How do you know? Tell us....

  • This phone will come with a poor battery life and a mediocre camera

  • Hahahaha... your high...

  • It's not fake, but it's a pre-order. Pay now and wait until Asus outs it. No sense doing so, and there is at least one that learned that after the payment.

  • IS FAKE IN ALIEXPRESS: it say 6GB ram but the real is 8GB od ram careful guys!!

  • Just a pre-order :-(

  • I don't really think Asus could do anything about the processor... Samsung was hogging the whole batch

  • Already on sale?

  • Yes but the Note 8 will also have 6GB of RAM and will cost the same, Asus needs to stop.

  • Also release with Qualcomm 835 chipset!!!

  • Yes but s8 only 4 GB phone. Not 6 or 8 GB like Asus

  • Asus annouce their phone, and phone come after 6 month in the market,2 times i wait for asus phone but all the time i bought other.

  • Exactly, Asus now has no excuse for not adding a Snapdragon 835, the S8 already came out ages ago.

  • It's probably true Asus ripped off Filipinos with the Zenfone 3 Deluxe which costs 10,000PHP less in rich western countries than it does in the Philippines, with that said dont expect much from Asus if you're Filipino however I believe that 3rd party sellers like Widget City might have it.

  • My phone is a great, SKK too.

  • I went to one of the ASUS store here in Manila Philippines and they told me that our country will not cater this phone. is this true?

  • That's the janurary video. This is the latest video of zenfone AR: Which the unit introducer didn't even announce the release date of the model! If you check the comment sections below the video. There are lots of people asking the same question, "release date".

  • you can find videos in youtube from january.

  • Yeah, I'll wait until the Note 8, then you're out of luck, Asus.

  • Is it true that you really will produce this type of phone sel?, or its only a hope but nothing happen.

  • No word yet? C'mon Asus... get on it. We're waiting.

  • It's already May 1st! And according to your site. It will be available in april 2017! Yet there isn't any unboxing video of the Zenfone AR yet!

  • This phone isn't out yet!

  • Xperia Z5 Premium and upcoming XZ Premium begs to differ.

  • Manuals are available on ASUS website. I feel we are getting closer to an official release date.

  • Manuals are available on ASUS website. I feel we are getting closer to an official release date.

  • For a phone to have a 4k display it would need a battery the size of kim kardashian's ass. That's why many phones still haven't got 4k really

  • aweson phone but what about "4K"??

  • Dearest gsmArena moderators and Asus the top high quality producer.I don't know! But,is it possible that since they have superior electronic technology knowledge, kindly answer some of the questions!!!?Their answers give more hopes to the users for sure. Thanks kindly with the best regard.Justice Rights.Omid12Omidvar.is an electronic technology enthusiast too...

  • I would love to see a full review on this phone. Considering it has a chipset that can actually handle Tango, and is Daydream capable...as well as offering what looks to be a good sensor an lenses...(Sony IMX313 with f2.0 with a 92MP super resolution mode (not sure exactly what that will do)). This could be a really good stand out device from Asus.

  • ohh.............................

  • I am asking the same, as I see "Available. Released 2017, April" on the specs page. Are we missing something, or gsmArena is wrong?

  • How can anyone buy samsung when this phone is out?

  • In which country released it?

  • Will never buy asus phones ever again... serious display problem on my zenfone 2 and maybe thousands more around the world.. what a shame.

  • very expensive

  • Asus is actually really good about pricing their phones, so you get a reasonable deal. But their 2-in-1 laptops are outrageously priced.

  • Looks great only lack better battery, octa core snapdragon 835 or better and dedicated sim slot otherwise good phone i recommend.

  • Are we getting a review of this phone? It looks like a great device on paper, if the camera and sound are good as it sounds, it can be a really compelling alternative to the V20, and people that like to take video with their phones especially if it launches at a comparable price. Daydream and Tango are just added bonus. Please test it!

  • DOA Phone believe me!!! Especially if they overprice this like 500-700 bucks.

  • In my opinion if they don't release it this month then their decision to go with the Snapdragon 821 instead of the Snapdragon 835 had nothing to do with Samsung they simply decided to cheap out regardless if that's the case or not I hope this phone won't be ovepriced like the HTC U-Ultra if it is then it's a no from me.

  • ya but snap 821 actually not bad compare with others phones

  • yeah i done search on that processor, and that processor has a High GFLOPS which has an advantage in processing Image that makes high graphic games run smooth and camera image process, but i think its weakness is multiprocess but lucky they make it 8gb so it can still run your opened application smooth while other application is running in background.

  • Or course not. This phone is using Snapdragon 821 with 8GB of RAM.

  • Then it's going to fail miserably.

  • They were based on the chipset Snapdragon 821 to make the cores and not every cores are same as well, we got a lot type of the cores :)

  • Will this phone lag ?

  • How a phone with this specifications could have a weak battery like this one with only 3300mAh ? Why not have 4000 mAh ?

  • Agree

  • no . cherry mobile is great.

  • So, it's official in Japan: Asus Zenfone AR price in Japan is about 82,800 yen – approximately $760 for 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM (ZS571KL-BK64S6) version, while the high-end with 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM (ZS571KL-BK128S8) will cost 99,800 yen – approximately $916.

  • Can you provide a link to the article?

  • I have read in a Japanese website(through Google Translate) that tomorrow(April 13th) Asus will make an announcement related to the upcoming phone. Can someone confirm that info? Finally, is it here?

  • Man, they should include more LTE bands...

  • End of the month likely? You think it will be on Amazon (unlocked) like most Zenfones? I don't buy phones through carriers anymore but I NEED this phone. It is almost everything I look for.

  • This month.

  • when will be releasing this?

  • Release the beast...i already have 2 asus phone, zenfone 2 4gb ram 32 rom and selpie 3gb ram and 32 rom..have no problem..such as heating issue, lag, batery drain so quickly..and etc..no issue at all..and now asus have this monster...i gonna buy it

  • But the bad thing if u buy Xiaomi Mi 5s is that it doesn't have a SD Card slot

  • If u want a excellent phone get ASUS ZenFone AR. If u want a phone that is cheap with a fast processor get Xiaomi Mi 5s. My opinion is to get Xiaomi Mi 5s because it costs cheap, plus it have the 3rd fastest processor

  • Which is very good for me asus zenfone AR or Mi 5s

  • Realistically speaking, Asus has come up with some of the best devices in the world. even Better then samsung it self.. with regards to battery, ram and so forth. people dont worry much about it, reason being, the Brand it self. if they could get a bigger company to advertise their products under their name. they can make millions of Pounds, euro's, Dollars, Rands. alot of money. and get this stuff to south Africa A.S.A.P. IF VODAFONE CAN MAKE BIG MONEY IN THIS COUNTRY, JUST IMAGINE HOW MUCH OF MONEY YOU GUYS WILL MAKE. I HOPE THAT THIS MESSAGE GOES TO THE RIGHT PERSON. KIND REGARDS.. Judain Trey Singh

  • This device is one of a kind!!!!!!

  • lot of complaint about the battery..if you don't like it just buy iphone

  • Dearest wise knowledgeable science enthusiasts.I just have a question in two parts!1- Is it not amazing that this tablet has a 256 ROM+8 gigs of RAM +256 gigs of memory capacity all together 512 gigs of ROM!!!?Also is it scientifically possible for Asus to put 5300 mAh battery of the same size instead of 3300 mAh of battery written for its specifications here!!!?Thanks in advance for your answers!!Reasons of asking:One of the Asus midrange class has 5000 of mAh which is not comparable at all in qualities with this high quality 5.7 inches UHD Phablet except the battery size!!!Thanks everyone everywhere.Justice Rights.Omid12Omidvar.loves knowledge sharing!

  • wat !! 8gb ram !!!!!!!!!! wow

  • Cant Wait this phone to be release...wish i can have it free...:P

  • How did you know no one cares about ASUS first smartphone with 4GB ram? Are you sure? We are smart ASUS user, using so many years without any issue. Now it's 8GB, again with an innovation. In search of incredible! If you don't know how to use ASUS brilliantly, then please, stay away from ASUS, don't make your cocky comment!

  • what you say is truth but i think its because its mistake from Asus company, Asus didn't try any thing to make its brand from the top companies in the mobile world, as i remember that Asus is the first company announce 4GB ram and no one care, now 8GB ram and no one care, im sure that Asus can be better brand than Samsung but need better marketing policy

  • I cannot wait for this phone any word on the price and release date?

  • please can we have the specific date the phone will be release to the north america markets!!!

  • ASUS put all the high end specs into this phone and nobody cared. They just care the high end LG G6, Samsung Galaxy S8 and Xperia XZ Premium. LOL

  • Asus, the back design is fantastic! but the front design is static ugly cheap looking phone! Maybe you can redesign that...

  • ASUS ppl... very impress with the specks, but PLEASE!!! do something about the front design, it looks like something I could buy on the sidewalk, I'm sure you could afford to hire a creative designer instead of copping the same design 98% of phones have. I could give you a hand, move the fingerprint/home bottom to the back next to the cameras, it would make it look even more impressive. get rid of the Bessels and make the controls virtuals. 14cm x 8 cm display (6" - 16:9) you see... very easy to b creative... still...KUDOS on the specs!!!

  • i am waiting from december this phone..are u foolish me asus...when it will be launching..

  • hi mam can you give me some ideas about phone that you using im planning to buy that model

  • (Disclaimer. We can not guarantee that the information on this page is 100% correct) peace my friend....

  • but recently some other company used snapdragon 835 instead of 821.

  • its battery power not compatable, at least it must has battery with power 4000mamp

  • Is this phone will go world wide or not?

  • i think more people will buy this if its atleast 4000mah.... besides the size of the phone is large and to compensate for the screen resolution which really consume a lot of energy

  • Dearest the wise.I think Asus the quality maker has gone to Zen4 category with the mentioned specifications for this top smart-device!Hopefully some missing will be written later including NFC,IR,and USB 3.1 with otg,....Otherwise it is a higher(concept)smartphone for 2017.Also intelatom in Asus device smartphones have done amazing jobs up to now!!!Thanks Asus plus all quality makers.Justuce Rights.Omid12Omidvar...

  • Really interested on this device, it looks like revolution on technology

  • Is there an official release date? Which countries are going to receive it first?

  • When will sell in indonesia ? Pls answer if u really know the date.

  • only 3,300 Mah battery???????

  • When will sell in indonesia ? Pls answer if u really know the date.

  • u PROBABLY haven't seen the full ads about ZEN AR from ASUS...the damn SD821 is special chipset...design only for this phone...its and Optimized Snapdragon 821 Processor to keep it efficient enough to use less battery but provides high performance... furthermore...it has Vapor cooling system...u dont know anything just ur mouth

  • So because you don't find it useful and in your price-range, they shouldn't make one?? That is a bit of a narcissistic view, don't you think? I'm getting one of these for sure. The project tango functionality makes it worth the price.

  • There are even 10 core chipsets like Mediatek x20/x25. why not 10 cores? it's more powerful no? ;P but really. slamming back to reality. bruh. not allways OCTA CORE chipset is better than a quad core. sure. it's allways great in android to have extra cores. (look for example at the x20 of helio. it has A WHOPPING 10 CORES!) but it's also importent to understand which cores operate the chipset. sure. you can toss in 8 cores of A53. but would it be better than SD821 JUST BECAUSE it's 8 cores? NOPE! it's both core count, frequency AND core type.

  • is this really Quad core only?? why they didnt make it Octa-Core like other Phone. Sure This phone will be Monsterous in that specs. octa core + 8GB Ram, The Best

  • Who need produce of such phones, of which to purchase even for the 100 EUR will not be never possible.

  • Ive been using zenfone 5 and zenfone 2 deluxe, and the thing i like about it is dedicated sim card slot now zenfone 3 series and ar are all hybrid. Unless they release some with dedicated card slot im not buying asus anymore

  • is this really Quad core only?? why they didnt make it Octa-Core like other Phone. Sure This phone will be Monsterous in that specs. octa core + 8GB Ram, The Best

  • Impressive features but will AR ZS571KL have FOTA error when it receives updates from V7 to V8 Android OS? I have this big problem on ZE601KL which prevented me from updating OS 5 to OS 6 or higher. Another thing is its battery... Now, with mobile data and wifi turned on, the battery 3000mah is insufficient to last 14 hours. Shorter if I were to view drama series. Thus, I will wait out for the pioneers to test the phones and see how this phone score in usability. By end 2017, when price is reduced and from good reviews, I may be buying if selling around US$400 estimated price. I don't know what price Asus will sell it then.

  • Hybrid slot.... chhiiiiiiii...

  • It's awesome, amazing. I like it The Specifications are so good.

  • too much...cofo cof

  • IR port + Navigation Keys + 23MP + 8GB RAM + 4000mAh = Great Phone to own one.

  • Because this phone hihgly concentrates on AR and VR it does need high battery to have sufficient lifetime. Ar and VR have very high battery drain

  • My plans exactly 256gb+256gb This is my dream phone. EFF you Saygus

  • Poor Design :( No White :(

  • When to buy in USA market ?

  • This is not a tablet to have such a massive battery it should however be 3600-4200. The biggest problem with this phone is the lack of water protection.

  • good specs but low low battery its only 3300 mah, the ram is high and the mp of the cam but low battery for me not so good if the mah of the battery is 6000 mah all i can say that its very very good i ll the first one to buy

  • good specs but low low battery its only 3300mah

  • Maybe good in spec but we don't know how xperience they used.

  • GSMArena, please review this awesome phone. Just imagine combining that 256GB internal storage with a 256GB SD Card. Wow!

  • Dearest Asus follower quality searching enthusiasts.A high quality smart-device from Asus to compete with ultra high ends giants in 2017 as specifications suggests!!!But I think Bluetooth 5 plus its 5 important auxiliaries,otg,...have been forgotten or misprinted to be written down!!Also 32,64,128 internal versions with having different RAM and having hybrid external memory is somehow incomprehensible with great knowledge contents of qualities in 2017 !!Nevertheless Asus with android 7 have some unique qualities that many in other 9 6brands lack them!!!How beautiful was it with 128 gigs of internal storage,8gigs of RAM,a dedicated memory slot and using THAT ULTRA. 5000 MAH battery just here not in that HD incomprehensible made!!!?Of course,Asus knows its expedient to win much more better not my to my beloved knowledge enthusiast!!!

  • Hi Ron, please don't compare with LG, this stuff has AR Tango which is not available in much devices.

  • it has 4g lte and but it is not showing volte

  • I really like the design. Looks amazing! I think it is one of the best smartphones out there in 2017! But I prefer LG V20 . My one and only

  • Front design is so mediocre, looks like a very low end phone but with beast specs, looks can be deceiving, but couldn't they should've at least put a little effort on the design?

  • Battery too good because SD 821 less power consume it

  • well said, I have the same expereince..but I wont give up in case of AR ZS571KL

  • asus don't want to know sell their smarphones ,even i am looking for asus zenfone 3 deluxe is not available.and don't wait when they are launching the next, you listen announcment in january and may be next year it will release .bad marketing strtgy

  • Maybe snapdargon 835 which makes it the real beast

  • Q1 2017

  • wow! 8GB RAM, SD821, 23MP camera, 1440p screen res. and all got powered by a 3300mAh battery ...really ? Samsung 3000mAh battery = Asus 5000mAh battery ..

  • My dearest. Thanks for reminding me.Because I usually don't take notes and mostly relying on my memory.I kindly welcome everyone,s correcting me.Good luck friend.Justice Rights.Omid12Omidvar.

  • seems that it use the CPU: 64-bit Qualcomm® Quad-Core ProcessorSnapdragon™ 821 @2.35Ghz and GPU: Adreno™ 530 info taken on asus global site

  • The high spec and beautiful phone of the year with the stupid battery.

  • My dearest quality seekers.Undoubtedly one of the best Asus smartdevice phablet with amazingly 8 gigs of RAM+two fabulous camerass+better battery,....Though SD 820 could have been better,if it had been used!!As I mentioned before Asus has several unique specifications in most of its products:HTML5 browser with Google support, setting, file manager,....Hopefully to access where on the summits where it belongs to,not to forget upgrades and update of its products such as incredible Fonepad(Made in 2013) and follows Intel Atoms too!Even using Bluetooth 5 + 5 important auxiliaries,USB V 3.1+otg and 4200 mAh battery could have made more unique!!!Thanks anyway to all readers,Google, gsmArena, and those whom have opportunity to have it!Justice Rights justly supports fact-writing moral guidelines.Omid12Omidvar....

  • asus always just like that, a high specification but is not equipped with a high betrei.

  • zenfone ar has the best speaker and zen 3 zoom has the beat camera and battery life.

  • amazing

  • battery so stupid for this high spec...

  • the specs are to high for its battery,. hope it last 4 hour rigid use,.

  • Genuine specificationsof this samartphone

  • Genuine specifications of this samarphone is here

  • Good...very good...so good

  • stupid fingerprint button

  • The guy said "why would they go with 1080p screen" when their main focus is AR and VR not it has a 1080p screen.

  • There is no way of getting battery up to whole day

  • Yeah, but it's the iPhone. Asus phones don't semm to be so overpriced :)

  • It will costs atleast rm3000.device come with 8gbram.

  • does has volte

  • Iphone 7 have 1900mAh price 800e in europe...

  • It has a giant camera hump.

  • non-removable battery?! No....

  • 3300Mah? Are we in 2017 or what?

  • Its in 2k only bro.

  • When it will be launched in Malaysia? How much could be the starting price of this Zenfone Asus AR?

  • I dream of this phone with an spen = perfect professionnal tool !

  • I also for mini version

  • when will it be available in singapore? i need this phone urgently..does it really is 4k?

  • 8gb ram on android phone wtf.... my old laptop still running 2gb ram system.....

  • Oh great, some specs have been corrected, now maybe you could continue with 2TB expandable storrage not 256GB, 6/8 GB RAM option.

  • its 2K...look carefully

  • According to ASUS, it has NFC. "NFC - Yes". It's a good thing. I wonder if it comes with water proofing?

  • can you say approx price please

  • That was my smartest opinion. Anyway 23 mpix takes very long time till make a perfect smooth picture. If you need capture something quickly you have problem. Also battery could be better. Othervise fine.

  • They clearly stated their main two features are Daydream and Tango hence why would they go with a 1080p screen? If you are not interested in VR or 2k screens look elsewhere since that is the main focus with this phone. Stating you prefer 1080p to this and this phones screen is only beneficial in VR is a no brainer and reflects on your intelligence.

  • bro,its future and we are moving towards it .the great partnership of asus and google.tango and daydream,,,,,very cool!

  • It's nice to see Asus pushing all the other phone manufacturers to up there game but they should have waited for SD835 and bumped the battery up as zenphone will need lots of power to run Ar/VR.

  • is this flagship phone? it is only quad core.

  • non - removable baterry? but this link show it is removable battery, which infor is correct?

  • Hi Asus, can you have a "mini" version of this but same specs I just hate the 5.7 big size I consider buying the mini one. Thank you

  • Still prefer 1080x1920 resolution than this one.it helps much on optimum gpu performance and battery saving.1440x2650 only get better when using VR headset. You can't find any different between both resolution when see using naked eyes so i'll go oneplus 3t instead.you got advantage when only using bigger display.

  • Best smarphone 2017? Maybe. But still lacks of battery capacity.with 5.7" + super amoled at least must be 4000mah battery capacity to stand a day because amoled uses too much battery than ips lcd

  • This is not about how much will we need.it is about tech war.so oem can put their best advance tech to show that they can do it

  • The battery sucks

  • Why the opted for snapdragon 821. would have been better if the go for snapdragon 835. And this 8 gb ram is nothing but a gimmick. Not even a crazy multi-tasker need that much ram. or asus want to be the first to do any such kind f thing like sony does in xperia z5 by introducing a 4k display .

  • Its nonsence who needs such ram in a phone even 6gb ram is too much

  • Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen..good

  • Why SD 821? could be a perfect phone if it had SD 835!

  • Yep..exactly wat I was feeling

  • because making a perfect phone means no one will buy the another one when they release next year. not maybe no one but many wont

  • The cheaper Zenfone 3 Zoom packs in a decent 5000mah and the flagship AR a measly 3300mah? Why don't phone makers go all out on all fronts, why make an otherwise great phone average by limiting one of its specs. Stupid.

  • Gotta read, man: FEATURES Sensors Fingerprint (front-mounted), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compas

  • It seem no fingerprint sensors, what a pity..

  • guys... what you mean... this camera vs galaxy s7 or upcoming s8... i mean this looks nice but can asus outperform today's flagships in terms of camera? i know that xiaomi oneplus and meizu cant be compared with G5 V20 S7 Mate9 but i dont know much about asus camera's

  • This isn't going to ride anything as they never come to market on time

  • this is unfourchunationaly this factor baatry reason in Asus

  • Available "Q2/2017". This is unlikely as Asus usually ships everything late. They don't also have global launches, but trickle-launches: Taiwan first, China second, etc... It has only a 3300 mAh batter. That is way too small for hyper-clocked SD821/8GBRAM/QHD display. 4000maH minimum would have been great. Also, Asus just absolutely blows chunks for OS updates in terms of frequency and speed. Other than that, great phone (although shame about the vintage 2016 SoC SD821, when SD835 is available in Q2/2017).

  • This phone is going to ride the waves of flagship devices. Great specs. Asus is going to compete the flagship phone market. People here talking about why Asus is not putting 5000mAh battery in this phone. Actually, there is no need of that because it has snapdragon 821 processor that is why 3000mAh battery is enough for one day use. The camera implementation is great. It looks odd a bit just because of 3 camera lenses are used in this device and also AR censors. Above all the best thing about the phone is that it is not very much heavier as the official announcement says it is only 170gms heavy. The phone looks like monster. Its look isn't girlish but those who condemn its looks are used to phones which look girlish. If you hold this device you must have a James Bond like feeling.

  • When it will be available in market ?

  • agree, should be waterproof.

  • looks monstrous, especially the backside.

  • Well I think the old school Nokia n-series design is back. In kinda good way

  • I like the snapdragon821, but835 is coming soon. Btw the back camera look sooo ugly..

  • It is not even released and you already gave your verdict on it ? WOW you are a great reviewer, This camera has ( 4 axis ) stabilizer and 3x zoom capability , beside it is 23 mp, just wait at least till you see the result , be smart :)

  • Cpt power This is for you .....use your brain as long it's nano sim dual slot you dont ve to worry you can use both sim cards as well as sd card together. Am using dual nano sim cards along micro sd card together al time in my lg g5 handset. Al you have to use is bit of brain my mate.

  • why its not waterproof !!!

  • As long as second slot isnt dedicated its useless they can make single sim model. Its the same. If you cant put memory card in it along with 2 sims, its same rubbish and garbage like having no memory slot at all.

  • Well i am seen this phone here for me its enough. I entrust this site. :-)

  • But if you look to the phone at the CES actually you see it has a dual-sim-slot just like the oneplus devices

  • wow great comment! as if you have seen the phone ah?

  • Battery bad, back camera bad, gpu bad for 8gb ram model. Also no dedicated second sim slot and memory slot. This getting awful.

  • This is a great buy.. Lots of ram for gaming.

  • Does it have a WiFi calling?

  • Hopefully ZENFONE Z2 POSEIDON release will be announced earlier. Can't wait to try it out! Asus has lost me with the zenfone 2 ZE551ML in regards to their poor customer service and update failures.

  • Why everybody asking for big battery ? Its Snapdragon 821 no need big battery . Even oneplus 3 use 820 and battery 3000 can last for a day .

  • Very high spec no NFC ?

  • It's already has 5 ampere battery, dont know why you expect more than this if you want this phone to be another Gal Note 7 it's okay, but 5 ampere aka 5000 mAh is definitely great

  • Why is zenfone didn't improve their battery capacity? such disappointing.. tsk!

  • ZF3 Zoom has 5,000 mah.

  • why Asus not upgrading the battery capacity?

  • Looking great on the specs - shame there's not a larger and removable battery, otherwise it's stacking up well. I was a little surprised that Asus didn't wait for a SD83x SoC. I quite like what Asus have been doing lately and have been waiting for this device to land. Big thumbs up for 8GB RAM and expandable storage. The cloud may be the future but don't tell me I don't need a micro SD card slot! Any rumours on price yet? I'm primed and ready to buy because my Galaxy Note 2 needs to be put into retirement....

  • I agree.....

  • It's battery could have been more at least 4000 n more........

  • Agreed.

  • Wished that they've released the 256GB version worldwide.

  • Quite a bad battery life for 8 gb of ram. Could've been much more for a big phone

  • I really enjoy it myself. Capacitive buttons, I don't mind...it saves the screen from on-screen ones when watching videos...or playing games, which can be frustrating if the app has buttons over where the on-screen controls appear. So I get it, they do make those bezels nice and large though. Personally I prefer the fingerprint/power on the back, but again, its personal preference, and I can adapt. If this is what the Phab2 Pro was supposed to be, I'd be all for it.

  • This phone is actually nice, and to be honest, has nice specifications and I kind of like the design, at least the back design. I hate the front design because of the capacitive buttons. Yuck.

  • Very much so...Lenovo shot that thing in the foot with the SoC selection. I do notice with this phone...it really reminds me of newer Samsung flagships in the front...and the old Samsung Captivate Glide in the back (With a different camera module.)

  • Way better than the Lenovo Phab2 Pro, that's for sure.

  • Y'all should fix your specs list. Since this phone is Daydream-Ready out of the box, per Google's N Compatibility Document, the display MUST be capable of low latency and persistency, which means it's gonna have an AMOLED/OLED display. So unless there is a new LCD tech I'm not aware of, and since ALL Daydream-Ready devices thus far have been AMOLED/OLED, I'm pretty sure that ain't gonna change. Quote: MUST have an embedded screen, and its resolution MUST be at least be Full HD (1080p) and STRONGLY RECOMMENDED to be Quad HD (1440p) or higher MUST measure between 4.7″ and 6″ diagonal MUST update at least 60 Hz while in VR Mode The display latency on Gray-to-Gray, White-to-Black, and Black-to-White switching time MUST be ≤ 3 ms The display MUST support a low-persistence mode with ≤5 ms persistence Device implementations MUST support Bluetooth 4.2 and Bluetooth LE Data Length Extension. ^ I'm not aware of an LCD, IPS or otherwise, that can meet those conditions. ;-)

  • It's 2K17 and why does vendor still using Marshmallow smh

  • Sammy front + nokia x7 camera module

  • The front looks like a Samsung... But an interesting device considering the hardware.
