Asus Zenfone V V520KL - User Reviews

  • Just update the android version 8 oreo is out i think

  • i have same giving me problem also, each time i put on wifi it will show error and go off. wifi does not work. any possible solution?

  • Yes, I have the same issue, whatsapp, ES file explorer and even zen ui launcher keep crashing every time. Update to oreo doesn't work, the wake up issues is almost fixed with gestures and cover settings disabled. It has a great hardware, but its software is pure crap. I have any hope with updates.

  • I dont know if anyone has experience this before, but whatsapp app is always crashing as crazy when I am connected to any wifi and through 4G also. When I open the app, the phone freezes and then app crash. I try to fix this looking on google, factory resetting it, reinstalling the app, deleting another apps, not using any SD card, keeping the app on the internal memory only without using any sd card,... try to do almost everything I found to fix it... None works... The only thing I found it really works, is to deactivate the whatsapp option to download any file OFF. In this way whatsapp magically works, any message comes and go in a perfect and sweet way. BUT I cant send not receive any photo, video, any file, not even took pictures with whatsapp camera because it freezes and crash again. What a crappy phone!!! I dont know if anyone has experience this before, but if someone has, please share something maybe I'm missing to fix it.. Last major change I did on the phone was to upgrade it to Oreo 8.0, everything was cool before that.

  • This phone have display wake up issues, I disabled double tap and cover settings, problem is almost solved.

  • can you send the download link for the update or explain how you updated it

  • asus zenfone v out class performs awesome camera out class look 2019 model samsung ,nokia, vivo, oppo, all brand price 200$ up 250$ mobile batter asus zenfone v i am personally check display quality samsung c5 pro,a5 2017,j7 pro but batter asus zenfone v only 1 problem android 7.0 pleas update solution?

  • i bought and have the problem with the wifi and i solve it. i put the chip with internet and update to android 8 and work (have to do 2 updates). I am from argentina

  • if you update the android to android 8 it works. i am from argentina and i can solve it.

  • Yes they have OS issues, the camera fails and some others apps.

  • You can only use d wifi if u are staying in USA or Verizon based country but there is a way around it, u will have to take it to IT guys around u to bypass the restriction. When I did mine it lasted for months but it went back to showing error again so d solution was not permanent, maybe bcos I factory reset my phone. You can take it back to be fixed again.

  • Pls I'll need a reply on how to make use of my Wi-Fi without showing error.... Thank you.

  • Since I bought my ASUS ZenFone V V520KL, I can't make use of the Wi-Fi. Anytime I on it, it shows error. I think this version needs an update but I really don't know what Verizon is waiting for...

  • I bought a ZenFone V on eBay ,after I received it I realized the Wi-Fi can't turn on, it always says error, how can I solve this problem please?

  • Do you still have the asus zenfone v. If yes then did you face any problem in this phone. If not then how was your experience about selfies, heating and battery etc. I want to buy it so please guide me.

  • Just an information , all of the vzn wireless phones work fine on any other gsm carrier, i buy from Uruguay two times phones from ebay "locked for verizon" and they work perfectly in my country. A out the comment comparing with the leeco s3, the processor on the s3 is a midrange processor like mediatek/ or snapdragon 652 both are a midrange, but if you see the snapdragon 820 is a flaship processor. And the 4gb of ram LPDDR4 make the diference. Regards

  • That is odd since I haven't run into any of those problem. Oh well.

  • one of the best phone I have ever used but when it comes to physical durability it is not too strong.

  • They are not popular because they have problems. Serious problems. They disconnect from the mobile network and the only way you can get them to reconnect is by shutting them down and bringing them back up. Very inconvenient when you want to place a call. Very inconvenient when you want to receive a call and it won't go through because you're not connected to a mobile network. Very inconvenient when you lose your mobile connection mid call. After putting up with this for about 5 months, I'm going to have to bite the bullet and buy a new phone. Not a happy camper.

  • Yes

  • Im not so familiar with the frequency lte band. I just notice that it has a very few lte band compare with other device. So if have a factory unlock of this phone (since it is Verizon exclusive phone) can i get a lte signal if i visit other countries? For example. In the Philippines?

  • I just purchased this refurbished off Amzaon. For less than 100 USD, so far I am extremely impressed. I last had a Samsung Galaxy and Note and I actually like this one even better! Hopefully it will keep performing as it is now. i just wonder why this is not a more popular phone...

  • this looks just like one of samsung's phones

  • This is a Verizon Wireless only phone, so since there is no VZW in the Philippines, you probably won't be able to buy this phone.

  • the only thing i dont trust asus since i first use it is durability, 2 phone both screen crack. after the 2nd phone i hesitate to buy this brand anymore.

  • Is this released here in philippines??

  • Addressing the comments comparing this to the leeco phone, this for one has a headphone jack, and mediatek processors have garbage per core and multicore performance compared to any Qualcomm chip, and the amoled on this phone is unparalleled by any leeco phone

  • how can this be a gsm phone when it is a verizon exclusive only phone??

  • Better use LeEco price reasonable asus just use the name to make high price on the market but the specs is suck compare LeEco Le S3

  • check leeco bro better than this price reasonable, 4gbram and deca core

  • Good or bad one, I am not buying phones without radio!!!!!!

  • Ive got an asus zenfone 2 and my experience with it is really bad im seeing alot of complaining about problems about their screens like ghost touch and permanently unable to touch some of the screen's part and i got that problem too. It occured after 8-10 months of usage no major accident or problem happened in the phone just automatically broke itself and one problem too is their camera its so bad and it gets even worse after some time. The phone also heats up so fast even light usage. Battery is also bad even in new condition time. I will never buy asus phones again. One of the worst brand in the smartphone industry. Dont get baited in their specs. ITS NOT WORTH IT

  • pls read it fully ... its true 100 times. almost 17 members whom i know is facing this issue. if anyone is willing to buy a asus zenfone 2 (series type) then my humble request is pls don't buy that bcoz i,my frnds, and many members using asus zenfone 2 has touchscreen problem.Asus service center won't provide anything.they'll be hiding.half of my mobile screen wont work.it happens after 6 months of after buying that.but other all are okay.i never let my phone to fell down any day.but some inside device problem has encountered it.

  • Foolish interface like samsung mobile ASUS must back to older interface

  • no go with asus... still now/or never there is no volte on zenfone 2 551ml (23k).. bad costumer service... ASUS - in search for nothing

  • If anyone is considering a Asus phone, be warned, they can push out an OTA update that can kill your battery making it impossible to charge or turn on your phone, effectively bricking it.

  • Asus cameras are only good on paper. Just head to the Zenfone forums to see how many people got problems with their cameras.

  • Same specs as mi5 of xiaomi.

  • Other sites are reporting the price is $384. This is actually a nice phone. Camera with OIS should be good.

  • i think this device will have high expensive just look at to new low midrange devices of asus. allof them pricing more than 300$ for example zenfone 4 selfie with 288$ u can buy HTC 10 & have all specs of ZENFONE V even planning to get android OREO

  • Kind of 'lower flagship range' since SD835 created. The price would be little bit lower than regular ZF4 (ZE554KL) estimately since SD660 can performs almost like SD820. Maybe for the people who needs powerful phone at low cost i think.

  • stupid designe like samsung phones 😡😡😡&#128545;

  • hopefully it is, if not, this phone would have low sales since Asus is not that much used in United States, or people can do import and have it unlocked for their country

  • I am a heavy user, not fond of phones sizing more than 5.5, this phone is perfect IMO for users like me, gaming, editing and regular use, but one thing I know about Asus, after their Intel and PowerVR processors, they have been overpricing phones too much, will be expecting a good price for this phone tho

  • if I do ot for ratings, I will 8 out of 10 if it's have 821cpu and 3300-3500mah. it will be the best smart champ phone.

  • Up the battery size you dimwits, this is 2014 size. *groan*

  • Is it release internationally???

  • Is this a flagship phone or a midrange phone? And how much is it gonna cost??

  • Very likeness product of samsung😂
