BlackBerry Keyone - User Reviews

  • don't buy.my selfie is blur after six month.my microphone dosent work in record video or live story.please don't buy this is just pretty and special.sorry for my bad English lang

  • Hello.Actually the latest device are Key2 and Key2 LE,both keyboard device. The new announcment maybe will be made at least by the end of the year,or maximum at CES 2020,to know the future plans for the Blackberry phone.Thank you.

  • Won’t blackberry bring new phone in market?

  • It would be better to go with a Key2 if at all possible but the KeyOne is still better than the iPhone 6 you are moving from in my opinion.

  • Thank you for the advice. Will change in the next month.

  • Hello.Depend on what you need.If you like the keyboard, build quality, security features, long lasting battery life and be productive, yes Blackberry has those features. The Keyone runs also android OS,which you can access to all the application that you want.Thank you.

  • Switching to KeyOne from any Iphone is worth.

  • the battery endurance, is hell good!

  • Is it worth buying keyone in 2019. I’ve plan to switch my iphone 6 to keyone. Sorry for my bad english 🙂

  • Hello Azhar ..are u still using Keyone? How long u intend to use it?

  • Any BBB100-7 user got the oreo update?

  • Hello sir.BB Keyone has been updated to Oreo since last summer, and i have Keyone EU version, and got the update on september 2018.It,s better for you to make a restart of your phone and check the update again.Thank you.

  • I'm from Indonesia and my K1 (official BB Merah Putih) doesn't get the OS upgrade to Android Oreo. But it did get system update to ABC322, though.

  • This phone has a consistent problem of earpiece. I have my second handset and the first one replaced just because of that. Have sent few times to fix but techs were unable to replicate the issue. Contacted Blackberry few times but nothing fruitful. This problem sometime get away by itself so no reliable solution. Be minful.

  • I think the Dual Sim Variant is Hybrid (sim2/sd card) while the Single Sim is just Sim 1 and Sd card slot

  • That is definitely not normal for this phone. Any chance you can exchange it?

  • Just bought a BlackBerry keyone and it is shutting down all the time in hardly one month of usage

  • Both cameras can do 1080p60fps, main one does 4k at 30fps. It's upgradable to android 8.1 at the time of writing

  • Its work fine bro?

  • Hello.I have the Keyone since June 2017 and never have any issue from that.TCL has made a statement which tells to the users, that this issue is covered by the warranty.Overall Keyone is made by premium materials ,and if you have normal use, nothing is going to happen.Thank you.

  • No problems with screen separation on my unit. Have had it for over a year now. I don't know what the rate of incidence is for the screen issue though.

  • Is anyone experiencing the screen separation now?

  • Mine has a single slot that has one spot for the SIM card and one spot for the SD card. No dual sim on mine.

  • Howdy guys, does by keyone have true dual SIM functionality separate slots SIM1, SIM2 plus dedicated micro SD card slot? Thanks

  • yes, im using nordvpn/tunnelbear/netguard

  • Hai everyone blackberry key one black edition phone support vpn apps?... if any know tell me plz...

  • I had a Huawei before this which I loved , I fancied a change having loved the blackberry bold back in the day I thought I'll give it a go as key ones are quite cheap on ebay and I must say your getting a lot of phone for your money not much has been added to the key 2 in comparison it's very well built with great battery life. As for the keyboard you do get use to once you find all the short cuts to the camera could be better but this is one improvement on the key 2. I easily get 2 days normal use without charging Welcome back blackberry

  • Have the October security update for the Keyone now and that is a very welcome sight. Think they may have squashed a few bugs as well as the phone feels like it is running a bit more smoothly now.

  • Maybe yes, maybe not. If you haven't use KEYOne yes, you can't say it is bad. Android OS also not bad. Look at Samsung, Xiaomi, why many people buy their Galaxy phones and Xiaomi phones. For lack of update, that's depend the TCL or other licensed companies that handle BlackBerry KEYOne. Other users had udpated their KEYOne. Some said BlackBerry KEYOne dissappoint but some also satisfy with KEYOne.

  • Yes, you were right. At least, minimal, he/she had been used the KEYOne for several weeks to make sure it is bad or not.

  • Lol. That would be a very hard thing to prove at this point.

  • This is bad mobile and bad android os. Always bb os is best

  • BB disappointed their old users switching to Chinese androids, closing main factory and producing now medium range phones with this brand with astronomical prices. The same makes Nokia now. Never I will spend money again on their phones!

  • this is not blackberry OS and software anymore, just stupid cheap full of viruses android. made in china too!

  • hi after 6 monts software crash and dont work, i lose all my data bad experience, Unfortunately I still trusted and I was disappointed, I always liked blackberry and I always used it until the arrival of the phone, as the staff did not listen to the complaints of the customers ... after the disappointment even with the phone I purchased keyone thinking that they had improved something but no, my phone after 6 months no longer works, load the software 30 minutes when you ask for the code by entering the code reboots again and does not work but starts to load forever, I in all the documents, contacts, photos, and other very important and now I think I can throw it away because perhaps the only solution will be to reset and sell it to someone, I will never trust the smartphones for important things, they are useless and unreliable, better the old pen and paper and the old cameras ... after this problem and others that it had as slow software, it stopped, called alone, the volume lowered by it self i lose important calls i used it to work, the speakerphone bad and poor altoprand, I expect a collapse in the stock market, Android and google software are not for this phone, it needs its own software and operating system as its search engine and not google that is killing it as said by someone ...

  • Please guide - How to do video calling from blackberry KeyOne without internet, like Samsung & MI

  • Hello sir.You should click the key to appear on the screen of the phone. But on the Keyone you have also the virtual keyboard, and you can used it to type much faster than the keyboard.Thank you.

  • I don't what the other people have written but to those of you who are not into gaming and want a phone to type more accurately have a much much longer battery life more secure and enjoys and easy keyboard then it's the perfect phone. If you are into gaming and bigger screens and don't mind carrying your charger everywhere then this phone is not for you.

  • Mic is very poor you can not use loudspeaker, also you can not shoot video , because you cant here sound at all once you play the video this phone is a problem

  • This is not something you want to spend ur bucks, very poor performance.. low resell value.. software? Not as good as bb10 if u know what i mean.. android is killing it over time.. 1 years or more.. u will get my point.. this phone will no longer work properly after one year.. not as good as passport.. this is going backwards development.. sad i still trust it.. android make things slow!

  • No. You have to physically press down on the key to make the letters appear on the screen. It's not a touch screen. The keyboard has "touchpad-like"abilities, but apart from that it's a regular keyboard, so you use it as such.

  • so my friend, your answer yes,mean-that it is possible only softly touch like on touchscreeen and letter is on screen??becouse i think is great if you have classic Keyboard and feelling where the letters are ,but in the same time is writing more faster if you dont Need each time to push real each button.Thank you, regards

  • no youre stuck with 7.1, yes it supports the latest version of whatsapp

  • yes? thats the entire point of the keyboard?

  • Hello Don't worry. This device is with android 7 and you can download all the app that you want, include whatssapp, facebbok, etc.Later this year it will get android 8 Oreo.Thank you.

  • Hello everybody, can i use the Keyboard as a usuall Touchscreen?i mean-only to touch the bottom with letter,,or i have to really to push the botoom?to make "klak"Thank you

  • Hi everybody, can i use keyboard as usuall Touchscreen(dont pushing the bottom, just simple touching each letter) or each bottom Need really to push to make "klak" Thank you

  • As shown in the mobile specs, the Android version is 7.1 and the latest is 8.1.0 Oreo, could it be upgrade? Does it support latest WhatsApp version? Please i need to confirm. This mobile looks super. Thank you for any comment and advise.

  • blackberry always the best moblies .dntworry take it.

  • Someone can please help me recomend this phone that has used it for a period of time, if its worth buying it?

  • Hai all.. I have been using this phone for 8 months... 1 Very happy and satisfied with the phone.. Mainly the security features which enable us to give permission to our files.. 2. Very Good camera 3. Superb battery life. 4. Security and software update.

  • Hello If you want full access to all your app that you want, you should go for a Blackberry android phone, like BB Keyone or BB Motion, because BB10 has no more support.Thank you.

  • Hi you recommend the older BB classic over this keyone? Can you explain to me why interested as like both and don't know which to buy

  • You have a good point of view, I think. What is BlackBerry leading to?

  • You really liked 7 minute boot up times?

  • Having returned after 2 years since replaced blackberry passport then month ago I bought this keyone in black edition. My review? Blackberry in Android? The performance is poor, ram could not suffice the operation so I had to close as many application before opening email and texting at the same time doesn't lag. The keyboard is a problem for large fingers. So I quickly sold the keyone for something way better and my last words here, will not go back to blackberry of any kind. Thanks

  • You should to buy one black edition

  • I upgraded from the BB Passport because of the Android applications. The Passport was rthe easiest to use all round with its actual and virtual key board combination.. Why has the brand returned to an older for factor? I thought progress was meant to make things easier, not harder. I wonder if the KeyTWO will be more user friendly with, say, a larger size. Regarding phones being too big, what about holsters attached to the belt which original BlackBerries made use of? With this idea we easily use phablets instead of using our pockets. Geoff Adams (UK).

  • When is it due! Dual cam, storage, ram and Size. Thickness is now objectionable, plus plastic body!

  • Hii I have mic problem on loud speaker mode during call.I mean phones Mic can't work during the call while trying to put on load speaker. Please advice what will I do...

  • Key 2 dual Cam, 660 chipset, 4.8" 128 internals! Wait at last BB destiny has opened. Giving 2nd generation Key!

  • Id go for the black edition man. Its brilliant, fluid, fast, and gets over every problem from the previous model. Ive had both, and this phone is excellent. Its easily got 3 or 4 years life left in it with the hardware, and the build is gorgeous. The key two is likely going to preform similar with a few minor upgrades for probably a super premium price point, and you can get the keyone black for like £30 a month now in Britain with 40 gb of data!!

  • Should I pick up they Key1 64GB "Black Panther" edition? lol or wait for the key2...HMMMMMMMMMM

  • This is NOT the Blackberry that is known for. It's far from it. The mix of BB 10 and android is unsuccessful. I have owned BB Bold 9900, two BB Classic and BB Passport and know a new BB Classic. I had Keyone but gave it back... it's just not good enough. I do hope that BB is working in back stage with new BB software. I really do. Fingers crossed. BB fan ;)

  • just do a network setting reset from settings-more-network setting reset. everything will be fine

  • Jezzzz this phone is GOOD. No one should ever talk bad about this phone. i love it so much.

  • I removed the tempered glass, that’s the problem

  • I have the same issue. Don't know how to fix

  • Back key not working sometimes my key one Is that os error or hardware issues ?

  • Back key not working sometimes my key one is that os error or hardware error?

  • This is a great phone. Finally glad to have a great Android phone with keyboard. It is a rather big phone, although the screen is 4.5", but the phone itself big and wide. I prefer smaller phones. We did buy the Blackberry Priv, but I did not like the slide keyboard. In Europe, it is the only Android phone with a keyboard.

  • Yes,they do

  • Hi guys, may I know is bbkey1 use only Android? Are them still using BBM like bb priv?

  • Haha your right

  • I have now had this phone for going on 3 weeks in a couple days and I must say that this phone is a sleeper. I had the Note 8 prior to this and the only two things this phone does not have to triumph over it completely is the stylus pen and the huge screen. likes: Battery life is awesome Shortcut keys are surprisingly more helpful then anticipated The layout is smart I like the physical keypad/mousepad even if most do not No bixpy button I actually like using the Hub It's very light quick Still has headphone jack ssd card and dual sim option Looks nice (I have black edition) Don't have to shut off all the Samsung proprietary bloatware Instantly worked with T-Mobile once chip was in Cons I wouldn't mind a larger screen even if it makes the phone look too large Stylus pen and I would be a blackberry enthusiasts

  • yeahh

  • Hello Lara , did you resolve this problem ? Please tell me because I’m always using tempered screen protector

  • Blackberry design good, but the qwerty keyboard must be remove.

  • looking for silver color dual sim , why dont have ???

  • Had this phone for about 8 months ( black edition ) and it survived falling out of my pocket while on my motorbike,at 80mph. So in my book this phone is a good phone. Apart from a few tech specs, all phones do the same thing ( text phone camera internet diary games ) just have a different name.

  • That's because the black editions were produced after the discovery of the issue, so BlackBerry resolved it on those versions.

  • In a crowd of bezel-less devices with notch, devices with almost same kind of curves this phone not only stands out of the crowd as something completely unique and cool but also triumphs over others in terms of usability. Kudos to BlackBerry for making such a unique and practical device. I hope they'll continue this series with the successor of this device (KeyTwo maybe) with new Snapdragon 845, 8GB RAM, 64/128GB storage, etc; if they make such a successor to this device they would surely obliterate those flashy toys other companies sell as flagships.

  • Got this phone 2weeks ago but i still much using my other phone asus zenfone 3 zoom coz of its battery performance 5000mah with amoled display and amazing camera..

  • Hai guys Im using black berry key one !! If we put Tempered Scratch guard for display mean touch problem coming ? Im facing the problem ( i tried many scratch guard) . Pls suggest ..

  • Hai guys !! If we put Tempered Scratch guard for display mean touch problem coming ? Im facing the problem . Pls suggest ..

  • is there 41(2500) available for the black edition ?

  • I am using BB keyone from last 1 month. Great phone. Only facing issue while sending sms on few numbers. Is it network or phone issue. Network is vodafone. Phone is smooth like a butter... battery life is great.... Camera is good.... Best part is keyboard.

  • excellent phone..!!! feeling better than iphone

  • Blackberry maybe not stop their product because one day smarthone will be integrate with driveless car..bb phone is the most secure and the best in the need

  • Well they already did, this phone uses the same sensor as Google Pixel. It takes excellent photos.

  • It's the best phone I ever used. I have used so many cell phones, almost all models of iPhone, different Sony, Samsung, BlackBerry, Oppo, Lenovo, Motorola, Nokia, Huawei and Xiaomi smartphones used by me but this BlackBerry Keyone stand way above this crowd. It's elegantly professional smartphone. Using it for almost 1 month and in love with it. Keyone Rocks with smooth working, awesome battery time, high security and quite unique features along with usual smartphone features. It has a great feel in hands, it's crafted very beautifully.

  • Uhh... BlackBerry keyone bronze?

  • Blackberry Keyone Black Edition is SUPERB! Can't compare it to samsung nor iphone. Keyone Black Ed. is very fast, reliable, and elegant. I've used almost all brands, but this one is outstanding in terms of battery life that's more than 2 days of heavy calls texts, data and wifi. Saves up much juice. Sleek and professional design Camera is way too good than samsung Sound quality is superb too. Quite expensive but overall worth it. You'll know what I mean if own one.

  • Please issue BB Uni with DUAL SIM and MEMORY CARD. A cost effective essential for business travellers. I gave up Q10 because of loss of WA, but miss the fixed key board. I still consider BB the only really serious business mobile phone. I would have bought Keyone if it was widely available in dual sim version.

  • I love Blackberry. But hmmm the passport have removed the WhatsApp. I hate the is selffish iness in communication mass it was so bald

  • ..simple..uv said its not reading the sd card?..well then ask urself ..ist a must u av th same sd card frm ur previous bb inserted to Key one? if ur answer is an affirmative YES thn its simple.. format the card n continue using it

  • one thing id love improved on blackberry..is th camera quality..

  • I recently got an upgrade on the Vodafone network through Carphone Warehouse and this new phone of mine, Blackberry Black Edition has made me a happy man. It's first ever Android phone and I haven'y used a Blackberry since the Bold 9700 which I found amazing. To be honest, i'm really glad to be done with my last handset (I Phone 5s) ... So now releasing myself from the shackles of Apple, I actually really enjoy this Blackberry Black Edition handset. Theres so many options and settings to tweek, it's keeping me occupied. I really like the Blackberry Hub, where all messages can be picked up in one place. Camera is not great, however does the job. All the reviews on this phone and specs speak does enough accurate justice for this phone, so theres no need for me to babble on any longer lol Just to reiterate, I think it's a great handset and just reminds me of the good old days, with the little touch of a touch screen. Jay London, UK

  • Of course it won't read your card from the Q10. They are both different operating systems. The KeyOne is Android and uses a different File system.

  • I have a BB KeyOne and when I insert the memory card I used on my previous BB Q10 it doesn't display the pictures nor plays the music saved . It recognizes the files, however when I click to open. There's a message "Not backed up. Too big or unknown type" How do I fix this?

  • If you have warranty still contact the manufacturer.

  • can someone please help my bb key1 is off and cannot power on what should i do ? thanks for your help

  • Hello The dual sim version is only compatible on the BB keyone black edition for indian market.

  • Is there anyone who knows how the dual sim function is working on Keyone black edition? Is both sims-lines active ? or just standby? Any foto of the menu? What is the procedure to call from the second sim? Thanks out there

  • It's a shame they did not continue with Blackberry 10 OS. For me it was the best OS out there. Sometimes it's not about the apps but it's about the OS. Big mistake of BlackBerry.

  • Same I think... I would go for BlackBerry OS. But I like the dual SIM option

  • Somehow I found someone who also thinks like me. But as the popular saying goes 'What is correct is not always popular, and what is popular is not always correct', Blackberry and Nokia both are joing the stupid brigade of Android phones after loosing huge market shares to anything with an Android. Hence they are trying to come back and have to adopt Android in their devices. I totally agree that there shall be 2 versions of same model to choose from, one with BB OS and another with Android OS. Let users choose which OS they want!

  • Yes it does fully support whatsapp because it runs android 7.1

  • Hello Yes,The BB Keyone comes with Android 7 Nougat, and you can acess to all your app that you want.

  • Does it support Whats app? As my old Classic phone , from 15'Th of Jan-18 didn't support Whats app.

  • I used to have blackberry passport, it was fucking amazing until stupid whatssap don't supported anymore, so I am going to by this blackberry keyone...

  • I have blackberry keyone and I use WhatsApp

  • Are you using whats app ?

  • Thanks dpapyj, for your reply. But Keyone is not BB OS but android so WhatsApp is usable if im not wrong.

  • Yes, as of this morning, if you use a bb os phone, you can no longer send messages on whatsapp.

  • just get black edt. (dual sim), more tough in power life.... more talk in bussiness... obey for gaming oriented, just focus on bussiness... add whastapp bussiness... perfect company for BB Keyone Dual Sim.. nice product for blackberry (RIM) in this 2017... the icon of bussiness is back !

  • Thanks! I was asking as WhatsApp discounted giving service for Blackberry. My earliest phone was z10.

  • Hello Yes,The BB Keyone works with android 7 Nougatmand you can download, all the app that you want.

  • WhatsApp is useable?

  • Blackberry need to do same model smartphone but with this basic specs: 1. Super AMOLED display 2. Snapdragon 845 or Snapdragon 636 3.Quick Charge 4+

  • It is a grievous mistake to have android on Blackberry phones. Blackberry phones are not for dummies who can only use easy and poorly featured androids. To retain the traditional blackberry lovers, there should be a version running BBOs. That way, anyone can chose which to buy, and the devices will retain the old lovers. I always have an android and I always have a Blackberry; and I find all androids as wishy-washy devices, built for novices.

  • I work at bb I'm telling you, it's not getting oreo.

  • bought the Keyone Black Edition 2 weeks ago and no signal can anybody help? thank u

  • had the key one about four months , no rough treatment or abuse of any kind , never been dropped, picked it up the other day and the screen fell out , it damaged the ribbon behind the screen , I'm now without a phone as i have had to send it for repair , i love blackberrys but the build quality on this model leaves a lot to be desired ,

  • After using alot of phones the BB Keyone was a breath of fresh air. Instead of a plain glass slab the physical keyboard gives alot of pleasure in texting and the phone has alot of character and personality and totally stands out. Its the sexiest phone of 2017 in my opinion. The apple X or the Note 8 or the S8 looks like glass slabs, and doesn't have much character. And the black edition is a powerful piece with 4gb Ram and 64GB internal memory. Yes it is small compared to the Note 8 but it hasn't lagged at all since its running on pure android. Totally fell in love with this phone.

  • As a BlackBerry lover, let me explain. I thought the Passport keyboard, combined with the virtual keyboard, made the device the easiest smartphone I have ever used. I thought the device advanced. When the latest KEYone came out, I was, and am, disappointed, although the KEYone has many good features. Geoff Adams._.

  • I have always had blackberry bought he latest keyone I have found the only thing blackberry is the keyboard everything else is android I will not be back at blackberry until they leave the android system

  • Hello You are wrong.Blackberry Keyone will get the android Oreo, very soon.

  • it does have cursor control, just double tap the keyboard while typing, then you can slide left or right

  • It will never get oreo

  • I am choosing between an iphone or blackberry. my only concern is that if blackberry stop supporting their product.

  • when it's getting Oreo Update

  • I agree 100%. after getting used to the Passport, it was user-friendly and an improvement. In the phoneshop, setting up my KEYone, the experienced man put on his strong glasses and said "I haveen't seen tthis style in many many years" i often think technology is going backwards not forwards. i anyone thinking about the future and progress? I ask myself. Geoff Adams - UK.

  • Yes mate... But is just a dream.

  • i would like to see Blackberry Passport made as Android new version...the Size is good and very comfortable Cellphone for Blackberry Lovers.

  • Android phone inn black berry platform. Very fast no hang att all.price is little bit high.

  • I completely agree with you Geoff. I'm hoping Blackberry make another Priv type, with a slide out keyboard, so it doesn't intrude the screen when you want to type. Curser position control (just like their older models) would be enormously handy too

  • I prefer this phone more than my Passport, if only because of the Android applications. But it's smaller. I'm okay, having 'watchmakers' eyes and fingers. i see so many people squinting and fumbling with Smartphonesan and I ask myself: Why hasn't anyone manufactured a LARGE easy-to-use Smartphone? There is surely a market. Geoff Adams - UK.

  • I've seen the video on youtube saying they have solved the issue with screen going out. added some adhesive!

  • Hi Does anyone know if Keyone Black edition has the same problem with pop up displays?

  • This is gest beautiful . But I realy mis BB OS . I hope to see the true BlackBerry again someday.

  • spoke to a few people who own this device and the screen keeps coming away from the case

  • Hello I have the BB Keyone from 6 month, and the sound quality is very good.Yes,the speaker are on the bottom, near the usb port, and you can control the volume at the right side of the phone.

  • Hi. Been using keyone...can anyone tell me if the media sound is really not that good? Tested watching trailers and shared videos. Hearing sound only coming from the qwerty part area. Is that it? Or I am missing something out from the settings botton? Please help. Thanks

  • Too big ,too heavy, please come out with one smaller in weight, and smaller in size. WAITING>>>>>>

  • hello there how do you find the keyone? im planning of retiring my samsung note 5, which have been my daily driver for 2 years now, its with a keyboard case by samsung which completes it with a physical keyboard. i have been a QWERTY guy eversince, loved and treasured my moments with the sony ericsson p990, p1i, nokia e90, nokia e63. until those glass slabs forced us to abandon the PKB. hoping for you feedback!

  • Thanks, I will keep that in mind.

  • Hello I have the Keyone from 6 month now and i could tell you that it's a great phone. If you like the physical keyboard, great battery life, good build quality, and the hub that combines all the messaging app,go for it.If you like the virtual keyboard, don't worry, the BB Keyone has also the optioin for it.

  • I have an S7 Edge, but I plan on upgrading to a new device. Should I give the Keyone a try instead of getting the Note 8? What is it's advantages and disadvantages compared to the S7 Edge and Note 8? I like phones which have lots of features, security, long-lasting batteries (which I know the Keyone does have.), and are durable (screen, frame, and back.) Also, I love big screens, but I am adaptable to small screens. I like Blackberry a lot, but Samsung always catches my eye for some reason. But they are starting to make me angry a little bit with the updates not coming in on time. But the wait is worth it sometimes because of the features. I might want to upgrade to a new device or just jump to the Note 8. (The Blackberry Keyone is on sale for $0 on contract at Bell Mobile while the Note 8 is not.) Please let me know. Thanks.

  • Black ones (i.e. Optiemus Limited Black, Global Black Edition) never had the screen issue.

  • They say that BB mnaged to fix the screen pop-out problem.. but has the problem been solved for Indian models too?.. Is there a way to check.. may be a Date of manufacturing that one can check??

  • i have the bb keyone with single sim black edition 4gb/64.does any body know or already tried to install the 2 sim system from the model from india??

  • I was excited about my keyone and loved it until last Thursday. I did not drop or damage the phone. Out of nowhere, the screen came off and the display is completely black. The phone is unuseable. I bought it in June. I have had the run around from hell. I understand now that this is a huge manufacturer's defect wherein the adhesive for the screens was deficient. Yes, it is under warranty but I cannot get a straight answer from blackberry as to when I will receive a replacement. I receive a lot of double talk but nothing clear. I received an admission today that the warehouse/repair centre in my area (Mississauga, Ontario, Canada) are out of units but no one will tell me length of unavailability. I understand from other tech repair places that carriers are not even sending the units for repairs but they are sending them out for replacements. Therefore, it is unlikely they will be able to meet the 7 to 10 day return time they talk about. Now, I am hearing that the replacements are really just refurbished models and not new units. I completely regret getting this phone. I hope this review helps others with their decision about buying one.

  • Hello Yes,you can use that, without BIS ,because the internet is free and it's an android device, and you can access to all your app that you want.

  • Dear BB-Fan, Thank you for your reply. In that case, can you use all the apps like BBM, E-mail, etc. without BIS?

  • Hello You can use the Blackberry android device without any BIS,and you can use internet with any carrier without that service

  • Can the BlackBerry KEYone (or any other BlackBerry handsets with Android OS) be used without the BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) or can it be used with a carrier who does not provide BIS?

  • just FYI, the Indonesian version of BB Keyone has Dual SIM card, 4GB of RAM, and All Black color scheme (the panel & the bezel are all black, not silver).

  • No way to tell. You can always do an Advance Exchange if you live in the US and get a phone thats guaranteed not to have the screen issue

  • Hello I read your comment, and i can tell you that i bought the BB Keyone with 2 year warranty, but my phone works great, without any problem. But the people that have screen problems, did not tell the reasons why this thing happen, because it's very strange that the screen pop out in that way.If this people dropped the phone 2 or more times,is their fault. However, the warranty for this cases or problem exist.Don't worry about this phone ,the build quality is very good.

  • But, some units of the BlackBerry Keyone has screens popping off. Some do, some don't. Any way to tell a difference? You didn't answer my question.

  • Hello I have the BB Keyone silver from 5 month now,and it works great. No problem with this device.

  • Any way to tell the difference which screen pops off and which doesn't?

  • i heard it OS can not support whatsaap and there is no update.

  • Hello I don't know about the price in your country, but i bought this phone at the price of 600 euro,5 month ago. It's not a joke,it's a real tool. It's better with the snapdragon 625,because the battery will last much more (around 2 days) than the snapdragon series 80x.Blackberry is not a bankrupt company, they re-structure the company as software company, and now they open a new chapter of their mobile devices.

  • This rubbish phone is ridiculously being sold by $800 pre order price in my country and what you will get is only a midranger Snapdragon 625 worth for $250 phone. That's totally a joking selling, that price range you can even get a Snapdragon 821/835 with dual camera and a higher spec. What's this bankrupt manufacture thought on putting price for their phone? A brand? Oh please, this is 2017 and Chinese phone invaded the earth and you still think on impersonating Apple as premium brand? That's so funny I would flip of rolling on the floor.

  • YES!!!! Size and ounces means a lot for something you're using all day long. And I hope they will make a smaller version size and weight of the keyone model with dual sim.

  • What is with people who think anything over a half pound is "too heavy"? I find it beyond funny. We are talking ounces here kids, not pounds.

  • go for S8

  • Did anyone experienced lag when opening contacts? And sometimes the name is not appearing when someone called you? Need your advice to resolve this... thanks...

  • hey , why only the dual sim version only in india ??? other country cant have dual sim ??

  • Good phone, magnificent hardware, great battery and processing power. I was expecting a suitable Blackberry for a long time. Blackberry fans will appreciate it, not sure about rest of the world, the touchscreen is very good and the fingerprint sensor amazing, compared to Iphone. There are some annoying things that are related to the Android, this is my guess: - If you delete something from blackberry hub, the sms, whatsapp message etc. will not be deleted for good, but only from the Hub. (exception: emails are deleted from server). Tried all the settings, could not make this to work. - sometimes when I unlock the phone I do find applications on the screen, that should normally be closed, for example music play app, contacts app etc. Do not know why, but this is also something annoying. Hope that somebody will read this and these things will be fixed. CONCLUSION: a good product in a world full of Iphone and Samsung, a suitable alternative. No regrets for buying the terminal.

  • and of course my screen popped out!:) now in ORANGE service for replacement or repair otherwise i love it. heavy, reliable...if it doesnt work, i can always hit them with it:)

  • please, please, Make this phone less bulky and not so heavy, with 2 sim capability and the weight should not be more than 4.5 oz.

  • Hello... For those who keeps saying it is the best BB ever, they keyboard maybe the best indeed but overall I really miss The BOLD (and all its subsequents all the way down to Q10)! Only if I can run some essential apps on BB OS I would never make the switch to these new damn models! The KeyOne is bulky and relatively heavy, the OS is not as good as BB's and unfortunately not that smooth! The battery is not as great as promoted by many here (just like all devices, it has longevity the first few months then winds down)! Still of course -to me- better than boring iPhones and better than other androids (because of the keyboard and the Hub).

  • Hello Dual sim is only for India, and it's called BB keyone limited edition.

  • where is the dual sim silver , cant find !!??

  • Yeah, Known problem but they've sorted it out now. JerryRigEverything on Youtube has done a review of the phone, both before and after the fix.

  • I own a BlackBerry KEYone and in less than six months the screen has fallen out. I spoke with the BlackBerry service centre who told me that this in a known problem with the phone. Screens that fall out! Seems a little strange for BlackBerry's flagship model. Getting a replacement phone was also made near impossible with BlackBerry needing to prove my phone actually had the "known" problem. All very disappointing considering clearly the company decided not to do a product recall for this unacceptable problem.

  • lol

  • Probably the worst built phone I"ve ever owned. The build quality is terrible and after only six months the screen of the phone has popped out. Probably not enough glue on the day of manufacture. I have always been a BlackBerry loyal user but after this experience never again. The phones now they are OEM'ed are just not the same quality.

  • Hello If you like the physical buttons,go for it.The BB Keyone is cheaper than other latest phones like Iphone or Samsung. With BB Keyone, you have much security, and the app called BB HUB,which is a unifed inbox to all your messagging app .

  • Hello The BB Keyone has a very good build quality.

  • Hello I have the silver edition with 3g ram and 32 gb internal storage. The black edition has 4gb ram and 64 gb internal storage.

  • How about spending 600$ on black edition, which colour do you have, because in my country every one is using a apple and samsung phones, this is why im little afraid

  • Hello I have the BB Keyone for 4 month now,and i could say go for it.The keyboard is great, battery life last at least 2 days, and run android 7.1 ,with all the app that you want.Bye.

  • Hello blackberry users I want your valuable opinions. Im a collage student and i have to buy a new phone but im very confused between keyone,iphone7 and galaxy s8, i never used a Blackberry phone before, Not to much but some time i use instagram, whats aap and you tube this is all i do with my phone and most important im going to use my phone 2 or 3 years. And Thank you so much for your valuable thoughts you are going to share with me

  • If the smartphone is unlock, you can use any sim card.

  • Newbie here. Can i use any network sim card for this phone?

  • I bought BB Ky One 4GB in Oct 2017 form Amazon. This phone is not good in terms of mail folders synching. Even with high speed WiFi connection, my three mail folders did not sync after 48hrs. Never expected this form BB. Moreover I replace this phone form Amazon and another set was facing the same issue, hence it is software issue. Hight of problem was now Amazon delayed this return again (2nd times) just to cross 10 days return policy, later refused to return. Matter now to be taken to consumer court for fraud and cheating. AVOID THIS PHONE...ABOVE ALL DO NOT BUY ELECTRONICS FROM AMAZON AT ALL. I burnt my fingers friends.....

  • it does the space bar is the fingerprint scanner

  • keyone display should have finger or face lock

  • it will good if there is a row for numbers in the keyboard

  • Hello I don't know about the use of the BB Passport, because i never had that model.About the BB Keyone,i have this phone about 4 month now,and i could say, that the keyboard is very good and confortable to use.

  • This phone/computer is harder to use than the Passport - key size, and so on - but for me a worthwile changed bacause some of the Android apps are tops. Because i don't like being flooded with rogue opportunists, the active security configuration on the KEYone lets me use the phone with some confidence. Geoff Adams-UK._

  • U just check your network provider, these problems persist because of the network providers

  • im looking to change my old bbz10 to keyone is it really good to use bb keyone im a normal user only, sometimes for net, game for mail cheking thats all i will abuse the device tell me

  • Last 2 Month I am using BB KeyOne 1. This handset become warm/hot very quick 2. 4GM Ram still cant much pressure 3. With bit high end use it will be slow, sometimes hang 4. Charge is not that good stable in case of high end user (who chat much and browse FB 5. Some issues very complicated MARKING 6 out of 10

  • @rebel77 so you have used 250-300 iphones??

  • watch out for display detaching :) but its under warranty issue. After replacing should be fine

  • so tell me, did you change your display already ? KeyOne has big issue with display detaching.. heard if you replace once it never happen again

  • best cellphone ever really! i have used like 250 or 300 smartphones dont remember exactly but this one is so perfect for me that i forgot apple befor i only used apple iphones every year but this one actually satisfied my obsession over smartphones so,this is the best phone i ever had

  • I would like this phone just for the privacy purpose, i avoid android like pest. Sadly, nokia does jot have this forged android. I like the phone, but i would like a faster hardware and better quality overall:|.

  • Hey i really own one, it was great, i prefer to type on keypad btw(:

  • How can not direct dial with keypad? But blackberry os has direct keypad dial option.

  • I've got one, would have been better if the screen resolution was a little lower. Too high DPI for no reason, but drains battery quicker and makes things less snappy. Hope you're listening Blackberry! You had everything optimized so well and then you chuck in this display! Slow as molasses compared to my iPhone.

  • Its been 5 days of my usage of this phone. Changed this with my iPhone 5S To start with it may take you a while to get used to it especially the keypad. Pros: Excellent battery life. Just charged twice in 5 days. Battery deteriorated by around 40% a day. Emails -- Synced my 6 email accounts with ease and managing pretty well. Camera -- Decent enough Camera. Don't try and compare to the lies of S8 or iPhone 7 Plus. Storage -- Decent storage of 64 GB Ram -- Good enough 4GB Ram Cons -- Not as smooth as IOS Not sure of BB Support as can't find any service centre. So finger crossed. Poor Resale Value. -- That's why I thought of picking this up from the used market. Got a depreciation of 10k for a 10 day old phone! So the learning is that buy this phone if you are sure you want to keep it for long. Even though the chipset seems low on specs but it doesn't show any lag in usage. Conclusion -- This is not a gamer friendly phone. It gives a strong business look which i always wanted. So suitable for thorough professionals only and surely gets the job done!

  • Hi all this is my 2nd Key one in a 3 month period , the screen fall off 2 times by it self . I'm still wafting blackberry to send anther one as they said the first ones came out hey have this problem . the screen is so bad I guarantee you if to droop it off at you desk or just slide it slow the screen will come off

  • Just grabbed Black edition. The reason? It's one of a kind in andriod universe. Beautiful crafted and tough. Specification? Forget about it as long it reliable with excellent battery life. Cross fingers for Oreo update.

  • A superb phone in all aspects!!!! But please make one Thinner,Lighter, and smaller in size. It is too bulky, heavy, etc.

  • Very honest brief review

  • I went from a note 5 to this and enjoying it so far... The physical buttons are taking some getting use to as I keep waiting for a virtual keyboard to pop up sometimes before I say "o yea, I have buttons". (a virtual keyboard is defaulted to pop up, which I turned off since you have the physical one). The battery life seems good and not noticing a significant delay in processing power. The actual screen is a decent size as well, so watching videos is fine. I keep hitting the space bar to try and go to the home screen. but i am sure after a while this will pass and I will get used to the button layout. Dont expect to go to any stores to find accessories. I went visited 2 AT&T stores looking for stuff, 1 rep didn't even know the phone was out nor had he ever heard of it. The other had nothing available. Just go online to order. The charging port is a USB C (I think) which means that you prob do not have a charger that fits it. So be prepared to get some additional cords or attachments. 99% of phones today look the exact same so I am happy to have something with different features. If you like a qwerty keyboard I recommend getting this phone.

  • Had it since May launch in UK, including free replacement phone after screen came loose, which was a problem with the first batch. For those like me who love a keyboard and the Blackberry software, its the best phone in years. Some aspects of the keyboard and general interface not quite as good as BB of old, but very close. Android superb, screen camera etc not the best in the market but better than many, and it looks and feel like what it is - a high tech piece of business kit. 9/10.

  • From what I've read it's a brilliant option to go for almost went for Passport then I went for Z30 instead. I'm waiting for the price of black edition to drop and will defo buy it! P.S. All you guys posted so many convincing reviews! Thank you.

  • My best phone since the Nokia E71 (which I still prefer but.. well.. it's ancient and Nokia forgot how to make good phones after they released it). As an ex iPhone 3gs, 4s and 7 user, and countless android (and BB!) handsets in between, the BB KeyONE has become something that NONE of my previous phones (since the E71) managed to become. That is NOT just a phone.. but a buddy! It feels weird (and sad!) to admit it, but it's true. With the KeyONE, BB haven't just created a phone. They've created a companion. Something not seen since the PDA days.

  • I have been using this phone for a month. All i can say is good for this keyone. I really missed the keyboard since Q10. I shift to note5 due to lack of support of some apps. I have one observation, it seems my keys “q“ and “a“ are about to pop out. Is this happening the same with you guys?

  • i ill say its a great phone after all the old flat full screeen androids available in market from samsung to oppo.. this is something fresh... and exciting..

  • Buddy at what price, because it's specs and screen size obsolete, no marketing nor resale chances. Nothing extra to crave for, only 400$ black edition cud test.

  • Don't worry.I have the Keyone from 3 month now,and i could say,thay is a very good phone.Speaker is awesome,very loud,good build quality,battery life last at least 2 days.

  • Keyone is amazing, but I read that this phone earpiece volume is low and unable to hear call etc. is it true? I couldn't find this device in my country any general mobile stores.

  • Just buy what you want and stop comment with rubbish words. Price is about value not just ‘things’.

  • Get the BlackBerry KEYone Black Edition, it ships with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of Storage.

  • Nice to have a QWERTY keyboard. Those touch screens stinks!! They never operate reliably. Perhaps I will never buy this phone because it has no removable battery. I never buy a phone without a removable battery. It is not convenient.

  • So both of your Keyones have been earlier production phones. The newest production phones of the BB/TCL keyones do contain more adhesive and the screen will not popout without extreme force.

  • only those who have it. those who have no idea of their advantages write on screens with their fingers with bits of hamburgers

  • I like it....I don't know why though.

  • Blackberry Keyone Limited Edition(Indian version 4GM RAM, 64 GB Internal Memory) is first BB phone. After using many high end models from Apple, Samsung, Motorola ..I find BB K1 is also very good phone in terms of build quality, OS, security features and excellent keyboard. Hope, BB is again on TRACK ... and BB Keyone will definitely rewrite success story of BB. Its fingerprint is very responsive and comfortably seating on SPACE BAR. However, 3rd party apps are not supported by fingerprint, I think. BB must look on this ISSUE ....

  • who uses plastic keyboard in 2017 smartphone ?!

  • I was forced to leave the Blackberry ecosystem went to ios and the 6s. The 6s was blazingly fast but somehow it seemed so very sterile. I am not an android fan but I am a Blackberry fan of course. I think they made the best hardware in the world. I'll settle for the dated Android software that's funneled through DTEK and the incredible blackberry keyboard which is by far the star of this phone. The programmable and capacitive keys are a godsend. The battery life is stellar. The performance is notedly not the best due to the modest chipset but I don't really play games on my phone. Um its a communication device not a handheld gaming console. I have a vita for that.

  • Gem of a phone..specially the India edition...!!!

  • Blackberry key one is a very good and lot of features excellent phone am enjoying with this phone thanks for blackberry

  • But Nokia doesn't have physical keyboard :D

  • While it isn't a power house, a blackberry always is attractive to me and other previous BB owners. I have missed the physical qwerty since my Bold....grabbed one for about $460, can't wait!

  • And I thought the Note8 was lacking and had issues with lacking and pricing! Over $500 for this? With a mid range chip and 4.5 inch 1080p? Just because it's Blackberry? And for 9.4mm thickness you only get 3,500mah worth of battery??? 149.1 x 72.4 x 9.4 mm vs S7 Edge 150.9 x 72.6 x 7.7 mm that gets 3,600mah with a 5.5 inch display and gets a 92hr rating vs 81???? And this has a decently efficient mid range chip and 4.5inch display.... While 81 technically is not bad it's attrocious given all the included details. With a 4.5 inch 1080p display and 3,500mah battery it is only matching video playback times of devices with 2900-3,500mah batteries and 5-5.5inch 1080p and 1440p devices. Seriously?????? And you can get devices with similar camera, battery, and those larger and higher res displays with flagship chips for the same price. And people commenting about connection issues? Come one Blackberry? That's your idea of quality, optimization, and value?

  • For this price I rather get a Nokia 8 ,cheapper and much stronger features

  • You didn't need to state the obvious.

  • Keyone is the last chance of BB, absolutely phone is passport , totally business phone. But...... in case of BB wants to get their best rates, they should icrease the whole appl system very good phone generally.

  • I live in Winnipeg and haven't had any problems with the phone. Yeah I like the avalibility of apps on the Keyone...but In my perfect world, I'd like to hang on to my Passport. There will never be a more perfect keypad. Plus I don't understand all this Google shit on the Keyone. The BlackBerry os layout was far easier to find things. That's just my opinion though. I'm sure I will get used to it and work out all my quirks.

  • Overall Priv is better

  • "More better" the KEYone is "more better"

  • Have a fried that got the phone 2 months ago and he is extremely happy with it . His previous phone was a BB Passport ( 2 of those actually a black and a alu ). Now I got one myself and it's absolutely amazing. My prev phones: BB DTEK60,iPhone 7 plus,IPhone 6 just to name the last ones. Now back to the K1. A week now and I've loaded all my apps and still works great. No signal or screen problems.Battery life is superb (at list compared to the DTEK60). Still the DTEK might have been a defective unit; fingerprint worked only to unlock and not with 3rd party apps + battery life was terrible. BB was really helpful even if they never sold this phone in my country , they arranged for a local service to pick it up and send it to them .

  • had the key one on launch day. within one week, the screen was falling out. i got a replacement. noticed that the carrier signal was pretty weak in my house, in some other parts of the city (southern ontario) not rural in the least, kitchener/waterloo signal was NON EXISTANT. its been 3 weeks now, my 2nd keyones screen fell out. keep in mind, i used a case since i removed the phone from the factory box, and i baby my phones. i have used blackberrys since the beginning, literally, i had a blackberry with a wheel LOVE BLACKBERRYS. HUB integration on android is severely lacking. all in all, pretty phone, gets slow after the first week, TERRIBLE reception (the worst ive ever experienced) , my BB passport got 4 bars in my house, k1 got 1 (if i was in the right spot, otherwise ZERO). I couldnt keep using the phone, got my replacement device and sold it

  • KEYone is much better than the Priv: Better battery by quite a mile, Better performance, Octa core vs Hexa core. Camera which is sometimes said to be better than the Galaxy S8. Keyboard is among the best blackberry keyboards ever. Go for the K1, but the Priv is good if you ain't got much money.

  • Im planning to buy a blackberry phone..which one is more better..priv or keyone..any suggestion..tq

  • Better to buy an original android - there are a lot with better prices and specifications than this!

  • those who dont play game on mobile, using mobile for official use only need physical keyboard.

  • Shame on them! They played with an entire Blackberry lovers community switching to android and selling now rebranded Chinese phones but with astronomical prices because have Blackberry label,as usual, indeed!Who will trust this? What happened with OS10 old only for few years, already dead this too? Expect this to be the future and for their new crap!Never I will spend again money to buy phones from this company!

  • Refuse? Wow.

  • I bought the Blackberry Keyone for 12 days, the screen pop out and I tried to go back to the shop to refund it but they refused. I contacted Blackberry and they also refused to help me and ask me to send the phone to third party repair shop for repair. The repair takes more than 2 weeks and I still do not have the phone back till this day. Please think twice before buying this phone, not only because it is defective, but the service Blackberry provides is far below expectation. The refusal to refund a defective product is unacceptable.

  • Screen popping out on pressure has now been rectified reports gsmarena in July August, fresh stocks will arrive by 3rd Qtr end or 4th Qtr early, as its sales is slow, don't risk, wait end of year, to avail fresh and cheaper stock.

  • This beautiful phone ruined by the top shape design. Why didn't they designed it symetrically with the bottom shape? Is it just me annoyed by the top shape of this phone?

  • I'd prefer smaller form factor, even if it ment further reducing screen size, say to 4.3". Current climate seems to favour bigger device sizes, but I think this may change in the future a bit. Also some of my friends, including me think that the price, especially in Europe should have been a bit lower.

  • Even being charter mobile company, no strategy or sales strategy, only price like flagships, rest specs outdated, mini models even have 5" screen, it's 4.5 "is ultra mini. How can they survive, slowly name clientele will fade away.

  • I am happy with the Keyone Black Variant.. Best mobile #blackberry keyone black. Using it almost 10 days, Best android mobile in 2017. Loves the keyboard. Best in class battery backup more than 1 day after heavy usage.

  • My friend don't always judge a phone by the artificial numbers you always see on these reviews! Real usage is what matters always, and I believe keyone has a stellar battery life!

  • please advise! can is work BB Keyone 4/64gb in other countries. i like to buy 4/64gb Keyone, so it has 2 sim card.

  • Best Android smart phone ever considering security, nice looking and most important the physical keyboard

  • I dont know why but i love phisycal keyboard ... it reminds me on that nokia days in school but i preffer something like priv but with better battery... this have 3505mAh on 4.5 inch and endurance rating is still under 90h... its kinda small screen according that s8 have 5.8 inch on 3000 mah and they come at the same level... and its not couse chipset so it seems that os is not optimised at all

  • Knowingly it will fail, but no hardware or size latest, but price, flagship one, recently example of S8 prices slashed from 900$ to 550$ within a quarter. Learn a lesson

  • Seriously, who need physical keyboard these days. BB need to move on.

  • Fortunately BlackBerry project gas been shut down

  • Maybe but manufacturing prie of this crap is maybe 200 so selling price could be up to 350. And a keynoard its just a drop in ocean. Same like 4k recording and display on Sony top models or Samsung curved screens. Its nothing else just useless add-on which makes phone much more expensive. It have no practical use.

  • Did you know that a keyboard isn't free to build? You're only considering the specs without including the costs of the hardware. Think further before commenting.

  • Niche market, only rest is bullshit, no mass appeal, only status symbol, as iPhone. Tiny and expensive, just see 3rd Qtr and it will be buy one get one free, as Provided now a day's.

  • can we write in regional language in this keypad?

  • Keyboard is not comfortable,os10 is more easy and user friendly for BlackBerry keyboard type phone.

  • Not bought.. it's licensed To TCL, bb merah putih and oeptimus for hardware

  • Btw Blackbarry is not old Blackberry. The company was bought by other one but i forgot the name...

  • Unique phone in case of design. But it is still old specs in the price range. Blackberry could've done better with the hardware. It reminds me of sony erricson as they tend to produce different model phones.. so it is a great move but unfortunately you could've done better.. this is on the higher price side so i tend to expect more from blackberry

  • Blackberry just can't get rid of the trademark qwerty thing. Stop living in the past blackberry embrace the future

  • Biggest debacle, in BB miscalculation, 660€ obnoxious. Every day is not a Sunday, gone those days when BB mark sold like hotdogs. Now 300€ max these spec can sell, actually its not even on many store yet. No real lower segment demand, only show offs flirting around.

  • is this last blackberry ???

  • In world there are many types of dissasters like eartquakes, cyclones, flooding, volcano eruptions, huge smoke in certain cities, diseases and so. But over all this dominate Blackberry Keyone

  • Theres nothing worth 650 eur. Again Blackberry thinks this wil be sold only because of blackberry mark on it. But every non douchebag person will know stay away from this thing because if we compare specs and price it should cost up to 300 not 650.

  • Beautiful but when you come back BlackBerry OS? I'm tired to change the color of the blackberry passport . I want a second generation of BlackBerry passport or something else , just to be a true BlackBerry with BlackBerry OS, not just an android phone.

  • Can i uninstall the BBM app from this Blackberry phone?

  • beautiful but remove keypad...Full touchscreen looks more fantastic

  • Beautiful Design... Reminds me of XPERIA. :D

  • duh!!! The Priv was just as expensive when it first came out, how bout get a better paying job, finance it or save up and wait a few more months!! Anyways I wouldn't want to have to slide a 5 inch clunky screen up EVERYTIME I wanted to type on the keyboard, that would be about as pointless and unneccessary as having to pop off the keyboard cover and put it on the screen of a Galaxy S6, S7 and S8 and their clip-on keyboard case. So better yet HBU STFU??

  • 2 things wrong with this phone. One coming from a Note 5 and briefly from an S8+ the smaller screen size is a definite minus. The other this is only 3GB of RAM seriously affects this phone. Keyboard is great though, however I'm considering switching to the Google Pixel XL if I could afford it.

  • This phone so expensive but priv is cheap ...................

  • Almost the whole wide world, more than IOS. And comparing to BlackBerry's BlackBerry OS, it shows that BlackBerry OS is useless, even if there is "SECURITY"

  • I am willing to buy keyone, dose some give me a suggestion please

  • agreed

  • Passport was still made by Blackberry, Keyone is made by the Chinese manufacturer TCL under the Blackberry brandname.

  • Fabulous phone. Have been using it for over 2 months, very happy with it

  • costly @ around 35~ 40K for SD 625 and the camera, I think the best they can get is 25K

  • Everyone needs android

  • I remember when they did durability test of Passport, it was strong like a Sherman tank. I still have my Passport Silver Edition and it is tough as nails. I wonder what went wrong with KEYone.

  • when keyone will be available in India?

  • Agree with comment above, Just buy a Passport. Who really needs Android?

  • Is 0.94cm too thick?

  • please get the weight and the thickness down......and would be nice with availability of 2 sims otherwise it's a great phone but too bulky and heavy!!!

  • Go get the Priv. Its got more class and real quality for the money. By September its getting Android 7.

  • BB Passport is still being sold on Amazon get one.

  • I wish Blackberry reconsider and get back in the game with real blackberry platform. We miss those days.

  • yet the screen falls off... A few weeks back my screen fell off. Apparently its a HUGE problem! Just got my new one... *waits with trepidation*

  • Bravo for saying this. I upgraded also to the KEYone, but I'm a little sad. The Passport, to my mind, was the nearest a company came to using its brainpower to designing the perfect smartphone for use and productivity. But it was criticised from start to finish for not having enough apps. So now we have a BlackBerry with what the chorus of voices have been shouting for - Android's thousands of apps to quiten them on a BB. I wonder if these voices will be satisfied now.... Geoff Adams - UK.

  • I love Blackberry! I have BB the last 12 years, i have the most of the models, never complain, cause i know what BB represents! Yes its not Iphone or samsung who cares anyway!! If you dont like it dont buy it! My opinion about BB Keyone, i have Passport the last 3 years, i buy now the BB Keyone!! I work it for 10 minutes and i put for sale! WHY??? Cause is not a real Blackberry phone! Its an android phone like the rest!! What make Blackberry unique? The past...and i prefer the true bb software...so...i use my Passport again!!P.S-If you want an android get the cheapest in market...google and playstore is the same in any price!Love true Blackberry!!!

  • how about water resistance ?

  • thank u for this bb version

  • my question is why no java ?

  • How about your PC keyboard? Is it a touch?

  • Great phone and BB stands out again with a much more different phone than literally all others.

  • People will always talk and criticize no matter what I'm this case, just because it's coming from blackberry. Word on the streets is that Samsung is about rolling out flip phones again, let's hear what our resident critics will have to say about that. Timi - Nig

  • Blackberry has switched over to android finally. No more blackberry os

  • now, how come for something in the mid range can be priced so high? i'm a fan of BB but this is too much. even my old rust bucket (BB 9320) wasn't priced that high. come on BB.

  • its human nature to always complain the things that they do not like, very strange, it happens with iphone samsung sony Lg or other brand, they will always find an issue to complain, the screen, the price, the bezel, the Ui, the support

  • Great phone, but to bad that isn't true blackberry. Where is the blackberry os? I'm stock at the moment on blackberry passport. I will wait until the next generation will come if will come.

  • I read your comments with interest. We all think a bit differently about things, I guess. Thanks for what you say.. Geoff Adams - UK -

  • Greasy and sweaty fingers equals smudged screen. Which you wipe afterwards. Greasy and sweaty fingers equals physical dirt between keys on a physical keyboard. That's much less hygienic and ultimately leads to build up of dead skin residue under the keys. Please don't make it an argument in favor of a physical keyboard, because it shouldn't be.

  • This is a phenomenal phone but the weight is just way above my expectations.they should make such a phone with weight of 4.5 oz. and also with a 2 sim card capability.

  • I see that my previous posting contains a few typos. More importantly, however, I forgot to speak of benefits of a physical keyboard. 1) I can still type when my hands are slightly greasy or sweaty without smudging the touchscreen. 2) Similarly, without completely clean fingers, the touchscreen does not function well at all unless I wear gloves. 3) in places where the sunlight is too bright I cannot see the screen properly at all, but with the physical keyboard it is still possible to work the phone. Not so a device with only a virtual keyboard. Geoff Adams (UK).

  • I switched from the Passport to this one to get Android, a lack of applications being one of the never-ending criticisms against BBs. But exactly the same kind of criticisms against BBs continue like the replay of a record made ten years ago. Whether it be the screen, the processor, the UI, sadly, some people just dislike the very brand name. The physical keyboard is always susceptible to snide remarks. But here I would defend the phone thus, 2017 smartphones have grown to become more-and-more recognised as pockets computers with their capability, so we have to have a step change in our thinking. We don't normally criticize a computer for having a physical computer, so why should we criticise our 'miniature computers' or having one. In this sense, you can say that those dreaded words 'the BlackBerry' , with its characteristic miniature keyboard, has finally moved from being out-of-date to being entirely in tune with the future. Geoff Adams UK.

  • I have yet to confirm if my DTEK60 is the same which I suspect has the same problem

  • my KEYone has bad cellular connection will loose signal easily on the four networks I have tried even my Priv is better than this KEYone not impressed, at least the keyboard is ok and screen has not fallen out yet.

  • I have a problem with Keyone. It's weak in getting cellular signals . U got zero if your on a deadspot area and also inside the buildings. The moment you are out or at the area where most phones have already connected to the cell sites the Keyone is still offline. I have to restart before I got connected again. I think TCL has not not done well in engineering this phone.

  • same goes for one plus 5 dude

  • Why still it categorised to Bussiness Class. Because screen size, old hardware, and high cost! Not necessary if Android is too casual than BB ois.

  • Hi, Neil! New, unread mails are marked: title is in bold, the envelope is colored. Read mail envelope is grayed, as it's title.

  • yea. you are right

  • tht durability test..damn it!! it got me freaked out whenever KEYONE is dropped to hard on th floor..but am glad it survived all the tests... n thts why it gave me courage to buying the Keyone

  • Awesome set but it should be dual sim

  • Hi Just got this device, but can you advice, I have a few e mails accounts working from the hub but how can set it that all e mails come as unread with a sign and only once opened will it show as read, as currently all emails arrive as read so I can't know what is read and what not, Thanks

  • BlackBerry KEYone "Real World" Durability Testing!

  • I guess so, Mr. You got the right point. And it looks gorgeous to me.

  • track pad for doing what? cant you see you av th keyboard of which its been intergrated to work as a trackpad as well as for typing? what else do u want...

  • Greetings All, The blackberry keyone is targeted for business professionals that is how it was for a while now. This device is not for people who want to watch movies on there phones nor for a professional photographer. Myself as a businessman I love this phone because it facilitates all my work related needs. I had a BB passport I loved the device but the problem it was running bb 10 and i was struggling to use some excellent andriod apps. Now a device like this it is just perfect for my business needs such as calls, emails, reminders, events and battery life is perfect. So I can compromise for the other unnecessary stuff for the stuff that matters.

  • I want to find out if there are some programs like WhatsApp they do not work for us without VPN. There are any programs from Keyone that without VPN worked. Thanks in advance for your reply ..!

  • I am also concerned about the keyboard. So used to the feel on the Classic. Wish they hadn't changed it.

  • I am Mr. Nobody. Checking specs i am real target customer. Using BB since 9300, have been through 9360, 9790, 9720, 9900. I was artificially not switching to OS10. Ordered yesterday. I am expecting to be as solid as my 9900 and only cons to me is the missing trackpad.

  • aand chop off 30% of battery capacity? lol

  • Use it for 1 week. Good Thing : - Battery Life very good - Keyboard Bad Thing : - Head Up Notification is annoying, hope can remove it just only need badge&Sound notification - Very Standar Application, need other android app to optimize this phone such as file explorer, password for APP, custom notification etc - Phone Call voice to low even the volume was maximum - Because of Snapdragon 6, phone little bit slower - Gorilla Glass 4, seems easy to scratch

  • First of all, I will mention that I have been a Blackberry user since the 7130e device and have been using Blackberries since then. I also hope that people will respect my feedback based on my experience on using this device since May 31. Partnering with TCL may have been a little too late but, the KeyOne was a very well designed phone. It may not have the same super performance specifications like the iphone 7/Samsung S8/Google Pixel, but I believe that they were aiming to please both business users and appeal to app users as well. First of all; the sleek lightweight design is the envy of all my friends - all of whom have previously mentioned "premium" smartphones. The common statement being "That's a Blackberry?!!". Functionality is very good and very seamless based on my experience switching from my Blackberry Classic (BB 10 o/s) to Android o/s (my first time) and it didn't take very long to get used to it. Browsing the internet is considerably faster than my Classic and the screen does allow for auto-rotation along with having an on-screen keyboard if need be. The camera is adequate but does not come with an image stabilizer. I do have to point out that the battery life is quite exceptional if you don't use too many apps. The keyboard is definitely smaller than my Classic and this could be a problem for people with larger + thicker fingers and would probably take some time to get used to. The BB hub provides an efficient method to keep all your e-mails/text messages easier to manage. I did notice that the "boost" mode for charging your phone does cause the phone to heat up along with multiple app usage and games. I do miss the mouse but that being said, I have to say that this is the best BB made thus far. RECAP Pros: *Keyboard along with the mouse/swiping ability on this physical keyboard *Exceptional battery life and quick charging capability *Sleek/slim and lightweight *Great screen/quality of images/video *Efficient system (ie ram, processor) *Fingerprint scanner for unlocking device Cons: *Battery heats up considerably when using multiple apps and performing a boost charge *Power key should be positioned a bit lower *Physical keyboard size might be a little too small for some users *Lack of mouse (my personal preference) *Volume whether on normal phone call or speakerphone, when playing music is not very loud *Screen brightness not very bright

  • I confused too, why battery test is so low. And I do not read fans comments

  • ahahahahah, you've got to be kidding!!!

  • I'm just been using this phone for the last few days, moved over from a windows phone and so it's my best experience I've ever had of an android device. The KeyOne from blackberry sells it self as a 'secure smarphone' the built in full querty keyboard is an excellent feature, and one which could be a winner for this phone for those who miss the real keys! It does run quite hot when using things like gps/internet but not overly so. Overall its a really surperb well made handset, maybe somewhat on the heavy side for some though it certainly has a good solid feel to it that you actually feel you're using something of purpose.

  • r u kidding me?

  • Love this phone have been waiting for it for a while as it has great features just disappointed in the internal memory which is 32 Tv and as I have streaming music like Spotify which only goes into the phone memory and not a memeory card the 32 gb is too low and I wish it had a dual sim which is the norm now except with iPhones hopefully alf Kerry will accommodate for these two features in the future

  • it lasts 2 days.......

  • I would love myself a highend 4.5" phone (which is why I have the iPhone SE). Chop off that physical keyboard and I would buy it.

  • why battery life so bad? Competitors with same chip and battery capacity has better battery life!

  • 4.5 inch us just the screen, but this phone also has a phisical keyboard.

  • As someone with a qHD screen I would gladly come down to 1080p for regular usage if it meant I got better battery life. I wish it was a software thing where when I'm browsing media the screen reverts to 4k, when texting etc comes back to 1080p.

  • Where I live, there are iPhones everywhere, and I:m told my new BlackBerry is 'extinct'. I think this is silly. it has the latest Android OS, plus the latest security software including fingerprint sensor, a second to none battery life, and a great form factor. Personally, I have always liked BlackBerries, and I find the KEYone 'inspiring' NOT 'extinct'. I have still not seen any other make of phone I have been inspired enough to buy.

  • Please bring keyone plus with 5 inch screen. 4.5 inch is feeling small. I like the design but processor should be SD 835...Camera module is perfect

  • Am i missing something? On a 4,5 inch phone, arent the keys going to be impossible to press? Feels too small.

  • why its not dual sim ???

  • Saw this phone today. Beautiful, solid and the specs make sense. Smaller display and yes, lesser processor than S8 etc. However, I will take the 3,505 battery and charge life being reported from pre-release users at 2+ days. I guess I am the target... professional more interested in messaging, some browsing, musics, etc more than 3D gaming and VR on a mobile device. Ordered it today because they are sold out at retail locations.

  • It's become the most pre-ordered phone in Canadian history. It has not been overhyped and is being sold as a work phone with decent performance -- productivity first games and extras second - a good move. At $199 on a 2-Year contract, it's a reasonable price for what a business oriented customer. (Less than the current crop of flagships and cheaper than the Priv when it was released.)

  • Its not the product; I am sure it's solid. Unfortunately, no one is going to pay for a product that is mid range level at such a high price. I am looking at the specs and it is comparable to a 299.00 phone (generous estimate). I do not think BB has the fan base as it used to. I am rooting for BB, but some of the choices they are making is not conducive at this time. If they want people to return, up the specs and keep the price the same. It looks beautiful. How about Latest Snapdragon 835 with a 3k screen, 64Gb Storage, 4Gb RAM and use the BB logo on the rear as the fingerprint scanner also, release Android updates within a couple weeks after release date. This will satisfy the Poor display (as reviewed by some) and the lack of speed (as reviewed by others); once I see anything less than an expedient product and excellent resolution I lose interest, especially at a smaller screen. This will keep BB competitive, but it may not save and it may spark an interest for some. I know I would be interested.

  • lol 600 bucks and sd 625 lmao

  • Do give us your thoughts after 1 month.

  • Yes, Playstore is fully integrated in the Keyone and works.

  • Please guide google playstore is working on it or amazon like its previous ones ?

  • I agree with all these. Infact BlackBerry should make this phone available free of cost for everyone who demands. They should be out of their mind to expect a profit from their business.

  • Love the idea of a qwerty and a touchscreen, absolutely hate the snapdragon 625. If blackberry released this with a better chipset, I would buy.

  • Simply love this phone I have had it 2 days battery is simply stellar 12 hours ost ..speaker is loud.. I modded loudness and bass over Bluetooth now works better than any phone I've ever had. I play games via ppsspp and playstation emulation plays great. Everything is great no gripes at all ..this is a keeper.. This phone is so different to what's out there well done TCL bravo I look forward to the KEYtwo

  • Choose what you want keyboard or touch

  • Hi gsmarena team, pls review Keyone. We are waiting it. Thanks.

  • Has a full qwery keyboard and still uses android's cancerous onscreen home keys. What's the point of that?

  • Your issue is you are fixated with specs. Essentially you will be getting Android security updates for the life of the product, at least one Android OS update. Most OEMs just throw out handsets and that's the end of it. Given it's ideal for those people who communicate mostly on their phone - it doesn't require 820 or qHD screens meaning better battery life. In just these two elements alone there is value in the hardware.

  • Super comment of a BB ian...

  • Does anyone know if my BB Keyone has the WiFi Calling like the Priv and Dtek50? Using it on EE in the UK. I can't seem to locate the setting. I would have thought a new model would at least offer it.

  • I don't intend to sell my BlackBerries. They are tools, not toys. You only sell toys when you get bored with it. LOL

  • Let check the spec between keyone & priv....... Keyone- OS7.1, CPU-2.0 GHz(SD625), Battery:3505 mAh, Camera : 12MP??, IPS LCD 4.5 inches pricing USD 963 (refer to AMAZON) Priv- OS6.0.1(7.1OTA is coming abt. Sept.), CPU-1.8 GHz(SD808), Battery:3410 mAh, Camera : 18MP, AMOLED LCD 5.4 inches pricing USD 279.72 (refer to AMAZON) ............That stimulated me to buy a Priv but a Keyone

  • thought it would be fully os disappointed

  • Great job done.

  • we all,all clever people, all the world miss the BB OS that is why it has been destroyed by satanist powers to creat disgusting OSs like iOS and Android OS

  • Blackberry has quietly improved in every department. You are probably driving a car with their software in it. Today NBA announced they have been spying on Apple, and Android phones. Now do you miss the BB10?

  • I do watch youtube vids etc was meaning like a feature film anyhow not wanting to complain just meaning it is more a pro smartphone. :). I do want the Keyone I love proper keys but if BB would have priced it more towards the midrange for 2 reasons; 1) it has mainly midrange spec, 2) BB really need this to sell and gain some traction outside Enterprise,BB fanatics. Had the Priv second hand and it ached my hands it was too wide for my hands holding for medium amount of time but had no real problems, keyboard bit tiny tho. Full marks to BB for at least persevering in keyboarded phones no-one else is just boring old slabs with no design.

  • It might depend on region. I can't think of anyone I know who has two different telco plans.

  • Totally agree - with just one sim slot this will have to be a second phone for the majority of buyers

  • Keypad is Tiny, Size should have been at least 5". Price and Resale are opposing words, no resale for BB. If Gpu Cpu should have been latest, price could be justified. Not Alone BB marking would Sell. Sub contractors from BB would have to Sacrifice Margins to Revive Trust and Confidence. Again last straw in BB History!

  • if it was a dual SIM I would have bought it with a heart beat

  • No the best keypad of all BB 's is 9720 and classic's keypad

  • q10 keypad is far better, in fact I give the Bold 9790 the best keypad of all BB's

  • if it was dual SIM, would have been the best.

  • to kill time when needed. and that's what I'm trying to clarify for some people, this phone is not meant for people with multimedia purposes in mind. if you read my previous post, you will see that we are in the same page. regards.

  • No review here yet

  • Why would you watch a movie on a smartphone? In fact why do people play games when a console with proper controllers is magnitudes better. Lets watch the latest James Bond movie on a tiny screen I just don't get it.

  • i need this Blackberry

  • Finally,.. a BB that looks well, tachnically and phisically, I like it!

  • typo! still are very similar at benchmarks. QUALCOMM benchmarks!

  • dude you are basically repeating what I say! troll someone else!

  • Isn't this phone a 625 and not a 615 like the one you referenced in your youtube link?

  • Superb smartphone. Fear of lower performance is no more. Ram management is great. 625SD performance is better than that of SD821(LG 6),835(S8). Watched speed test here It's available in India next month. Confirmed.

  • Its not really suitable for multimedia but then that's not stopped Samsung or LG from changing from dominant ratios has it? And it won't stop people from consuming media on those devices. I stand corrected on how powerful the SOC. The point I'm making is, its as good as needs to be for what the device is geared towards. What I don't understand is where people find the time to waste on playing games?

  • it is not as powerful as 801-805 you can find it here and in many other benchmarks! what you haven't mention is the odd screen ratio which is not suitable for multimedia purposes like gaming, movies, etc... now if you try to be rational what I say is right but I sense you are trying to push the device over what it is meant to be! but then again since you agree with what I'm saying you are ok! I guess! gr8 day!

  • I like it, buying one soon.

  • Even if you do play games, the SOC is ahead of the 801 and 805 SD and I played games flawlessly on devices running those specs. Its only powering a 1080p screen as well. This phone can do it all barring watching movies for hours on end. I'm sure people have a thing called tablets for that though.

  • Exactly. Its just people wanting to able to brag to their mates at the pub saying how they've got the latest and greatest. What really matters is quality and experience. BB have nailed this phone and I'm informed that it has sold out in the UK. How true that is or to what factors are behind that is another story but on paper thats a good sign for BB. We need them to do well and bring competition back to the market because Samsung and Apple are just trolling us with incremental updates. They aren't pushing hard because there is no reason to.

  • Only BB trade mark is Left, to rejoice! Cpu Gpu both are outdated, which contribute towards innovation. Then Chinese are far better. Screen size is too small it should have been as Privs. Only name which has no character of BB. OS, BB service etc all gone. Mow measly an Android phone. Made by contractors for the Canadian.

  • Curious to know anyone switching from BB OS 10 to BB Android, how do you find the data transfer, is it easy or not? I know it sounds silly but I'm using Z10 now and I do have lots of data e.g. Notes (Remember) and Password Keeper which I should transfer into my new phone to get my work easier. Because of this consideration I might think to have KeyOne as my next phone. BB is awesome in my opinion, but the apps support is not. At the end, I will need to move to Android platform, yet data transfer is my biggest consideration. I don't know if I buy Android phone, Sony for example, and install HUB+ in it, will I still be able to transfer my valuable data? Thank you for your answer.

  • ☆☆☆☆&;#9734; star's from my side BlackBerry is the best from every other phone

  • Wow nice looking great phone i like new look BlackBerry

  • Honestly, people need to question why they need a Snapdragon 835. It's the same sort of people who NEED an Intel i7 when all they do most of the time is look at shit on the internet and do gaming.

  • Battery life is impressive

  • The keypad on the Blackberry Q10 is far superior to the keypad on the Keyone.

  • Better

  • why it is not dual sim ?

  • Those moaning about 835 SD need to take a hard look at themselves. Samsung purposefully restricted supply for the chips and bought whatever they could for the S8. Even LG couldn't get any for the G6. 625 is ample for what the phone is trying to do and arguably for most users. Get more than enough power in phones these days. More than 90% of the people can use. Its ridiculous. BB Keyone isn't even that expensive compared to Apple/Pixel/Samsung. People complaining because they can.

  • please how is the battery life compare to passport, iPhones and samsung?

  • Anyone who owns a KeyOne know if it can do 1080p60? I know it doesn't list it, but it also only lists 2160p30 as an option so...

  • Smaller than Priv? That was cramped...

  • I tried the Keyone in Carphone Warehouse today and in my opinion the keypad is too small and cramped.

  • Fantastic appearance.

  • Now I can see BlackBerry is coming up again. Need to look at how to beet Samsung. Why Samsung? Samsung is the largest player that manufactures and marketed of smart phones. As as an advance strategy need to launch Dual sim phones urgently with slim nature.

  • stilll waiting to grab ....

  • in my opinion it's a gorgeous phone capable of doing day to day tasks except gaming! now if you don't care for gaming and watching a lot of video on your device, then it's your go to phone with physical keyboard and good battery life! to people complaining about SoC! although I wouldn't complain if it had 835 SoC but then again if you don't play games on your phone 625 is more than enough and actually a smart choice of a chip for daily usage! and if you do want to play games then you should look elsewhere! thanks!

  • This phone is disaster outdated specs and price beyond belief. Nothing more to say.

  • for those who complain for the price to soc ratio, look, it has a lot of moving hardware parts whoch means more cost for production unlike a fulltouchscreen phone, just look at thos details and materials use, if they happen to use 835soc and increase the price it will be less affordable to the mass

  • i made a pre-order in UAE and the price is nearly 500$ .. which is less than what was said in different websites ...

  • i like this and other designs of BB phones because they are very original and also pretty! good job

  • yeah, best looking BlackBerry ever but the is 'a no_go' for me

  • Such an awesome phone, But pricepoint is so high for SOC, This is a very bad time for smartphone Brands where samsung, apple, xiaomi, huawei, oppo, vivo, 1+ has captured the market, so if companies like Blackberry, Sony, Nokia want to get back their previous place they must determine cheap price for stylish mid range phones.

  • This celphone looks so sexy

  • managed to buy a Keyone today, excellent build quality, fingerprint sensor is fast and works every time, battery charges very quickly, feels good to hold and keyboard is better than the Priv, probably the best looking phone Blackberry have released in a while.

  • Security focus and sexy appearance makes the price, not the processor.

  • Why cant they just sell it for its worth, performance-wise. 3gb ram and 625 snapdragon is not worth 500$, as proven by the nor should its keyboard bring the price up so much. I want to love this phone, with a sexy appearance, security focus, and keyboard convenience, but not at this price point.

  • Looks absolutely gorgeous!!!

  • Great Look...! Good features....! Waiting Waiting >>>!

  • Reviews look fantastic. Can't wait to get mine

  • A excellent, fast processor and beautiful phone. But with 2 drawbacks 1) too heavy should be 2 oz. lighter 2) Should have capability of 2 sim cards.

  • Impressive battery performance.

  • Its expensive - Indian currency - 60 Thousand :(

  • When it will be available in Europe ?

  • On the US-model, it is 0,29 W/KG on the body and 0,56 W/KG on the head

  • wooooowwwww I like this phone very much it's sweetie to have it .so please how much

  • Nice phone, but what is the SAR for this model?

  • I'm a GsmArena user since this site started. But never commented on any phone, doesn't matter how appealing they are. But this phone made me open an account to comment. Blackberry moved to Android, that's a nice decision. And this phone, wow, so innovative and unique! Thank you blackberry for not thinking the same way as other Android brands. You're always unique and you'll be. And I'm sure that blackberry will kill all other Android brands only because of their design. Carry on BB!

  • Love the way this phone looks. It has Xperia elements in its design. Wouldn't mind getting one :)

  • In the UK it is priced at iPhone 6S levels.

  • Dearest BlackBerry fans.A really good auction from BlackBerry joining smartdevice festivals!!Truly $ 125 is a fair price for it as I see the price on my left side chart of a seller!!!Justice Rights.Omid12Omidvar may buy one for its Virtual Grand Dream Museum!

  • I'm very interested in this phone, above all other current and rumoured phones of this 2017 year...my personal challenge is the price of it, not that I disagree at what point they put it at, I'm just not willing to dish out that much. I'll wait a 6-7mos on it, I'm sure it'll drop $100-150 in price, I'll buy it then. On a personal note, I'm really not that intrigued by phones like the S8, sure it's beautiful (damn beautiful I'll admit that) but I'm just not that kinda guy to have a phone like that. In my mind it's equivalent to guy who drives a Hummer/Lambo, for no good reason. Just my two cents

  • What price i the New Samsung. ?? Blackberry keyone is much cheaper. With good processor and fantastic keyboard Processor is better than the 810. Almost as good as 820 but better in battery performance. Brilliant price

  • 625 is much better than 810. So I really don't get what the problem is

  • It is priced at around $550. Yes it is a bit pricey - because there is a substantial cost involved in the physical keyboard that too with capacitive features. If I had the money - I will buy this anyday in place of S7. As a matter of fact - I would still be using my Q10 if there was any assurance that Whatsapp will be supported till far future ( I use whatsapp for official work.. :( ).. A lot of people are ready to pay a premium for hardware keyboard - and I am one of them...

  • I agree with you

  • You seem to be missing the point entirely. This is not your average phone with an S625. This is a phone with a physical keyboard that runs the latest version of android with modern specs and as such is a pretty niche market. This is not a device designed to return BlackBerry to the pre-iPhone days. This is a phone to (hopefully) allow BB to recapture part of its lost primary market: Businesses.

  • snapdragon 625 not 652.

  • BB10 concept was great but it was not for the real world. The world demands much innovation and creativity BB10 just couldn't lives up to the challenges of everyday life.

  • Don't get too emotional about it.

  • WTF price same or even higher than crappy S8 or Iphone 7 and specs of below average midranger phone. They are funny as hell.

  • $645 før 3GB RAM & SD652 Are they jøke? Prefer tø S7 edge ør XZ

  • i cannot understand those who come just to hate, buyers will come to a device that interest them, and the point of this comment section to talk about those who are interested in this device, why come here to hate? they said if bothing will come out of your mouth or thought just keep quiet

  • Great design bb but price is high,i love this phone.

  • Not true. BB os was great just outdated a bit. It was basically android just limited. Im talking about BB OS 10. I wish any android device to be so great as BB Z30 when it was released.

  • 1step forward then next 2 back. Blackberry should join giants and use proper hardware for flagships!

  • Blackberry OS sucks. They made a smart move going with Android.

  • I think I will get this one to upgrade my wife's phone after some research. No matter what other people trying to "warn" you, BlackBerry is very consistent with hardware build quality through out it's products. The quality is usually in the same category of Apple and Samsung. I have my Priv for over half year now and I like it so much that I want to see I am using it for another three years. Here is one story if people what to related to. We were on a trip that everyone wants to take lots of photos during the day. By noon, iPhones were all out of juice. By 3 pm, all other brand need to plug in to their USB batteries. My Priv finish the day with almost 50% left and I have the most number of photo taken with my phone. By the way, I have never seen this many of people hate products like BBs as if they got paid for doing that or the hatred made them better people. Just a thought.

  • Learn English please first. charging jack on the phone will last much longer with wireless charging. Also, fiddling with cables often results accidentally phone drops...

  • The SDXC standard allows for up to 2 TB cards, that's why they list that as maximum. Currently, 256 GB is the largest available, but when someone manufactures a 512 GB or larger card, it will work as well. There were prototypes of 512 GB microSD cards already a few years ago, so I guess they might come relatively soon.

  • People like is so hard to finds now a days

  • To bad that is just an android. I really want to see a true BlackBerry with BlackBerry OS.

  • Why on earth does the UK get this phone so munch earlier than the rest of us, eh? My phone has been dying on me for awhile now, and as of two days ago "System UI" crashes at least once a minute: I kid you not. I need a new phone so bad and I want it to be one with an actual keyboard, something I've dreamed of having since I got my first smartphone.

  • no wireless charging? shame

  • OMG, 645$ US, JUST FOR SD625!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO SD835 OR EVEN SD821, SD820!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • if i found one, i'll buy one, full touch bar phone have become so common these days, i want somethkng different, lets say a modern classic

  • yes it is overpriced waste for money, are you serious???? Its only been out for 30 seconds, you have obviously spent a lot of time with it.

  • Agreed.

  • yes it is overpriced waste for money, are you serious???? Its only been out for 30 seconds, you have obviously spent a lot of time with it.

  • What about LTE band 66?

  • When its come to Indonesia.. Cant wait..

  • Amazing phone. Classic Blacberry with great OS and features..

  • yes it is overpriced waste for money

  • No it's not

  • Release it already !!!

  • over cost

  • I have been waiting so long for this device.

  • A stylish, attractive option with sterile esthetics being all the rage nowadays. Would be on my list but will be a stretch getting the device as Blackberry has by and large been dropped by Canadian carriers. Not really worth me shelling out the $700+ the device will likely cost unlocked either, i don't think.

  • i am a blackberry user since 2005 presently using Q10 anxiously waiting for KEYONE surprising also no Dummy Display sets available in Market. please launch the phone at correct pricing , PASSPORT & PRIV both are FLOP Models Please launch the KEYONE at affordable Prices Range Below $ 400/-

  • This phone has been annouced as having an IPS LCD for a long time now, I'm not sure where your shock comes from. Anyway, I imagine the issue would have to be the phone's non-standard resolution and screen aspect ratio of 3:2, which would mean they'd have to order custom AMOLED panels which would be more expensive. On a device that on release will likely be a good bit more expensive than phones coming with Snapdragon 835s, they probably wanted to avoid having to add onto the price tag. (And BlackBerry isn't exactly a company that can afford to be selling devices at a loss right now.)

  • Applications on your phone already scale according to your phone's resolution and the screen size. There are people who have phones that have a resolution of 1280x720 like the Xperia X Compact who are able to use applications just fine. This phone has a similar screen size while also having a larger resolution. It isn't as big of an issue as you may think, but more importantly, many apps on our phone are designed around the idea that at some point the keyboard will be taking up the screen. This is a phone where that's sort of constant, and so your screen is never readjusted to make room for the keyboard.

  • If you like crap phone completely neglected by business people you can go for it

  • it is not for you.

  • Wow previously BlackBerry Priv have a slide up keyboard, which doesn't affect the screen size. And now what? 4.6 inches plus no slide up keyboard, how are you going to use the phone when the screen is almost half of the body?

  • why the LCD? we all are expecting AMOLED....!!!!

  • No he is not only one here's many including me who still using BlackBerry for productivity n security. We like tool not toy. BlackBerry still best device if you think it's not then it's your poor knowledge.

  • no!

  • IP68?

  • doesnt matter as we dont have any 1 or 2tb micro sd. max is 200gb right now

  • ha ha

  • you are only one who still like crap blackberry

  • Nicely put

  • very nice

  • Midrange specs compared to priv.Hope this wont be too expensive.

  • cant wait , im gonna buy it . why ? main reason : 1. qwerty - quick respond , good for chat. 2. size - 4.5" , Handy , i had priv but its to big. 3. battery 3500 Mha.

  • nice phone

  • Well said.

  • A good looking phone with average specs and a major deficiency that its not a dual sim.

  • Is anyone able to clarify how much the memory can be expanded? I know the specs say 32GB storage with expandable slot that fits a 256GB Micro SD Card but I recently spoke to a Blackberry Rep and he mentioned that t could be expanded to 2TB.

  • You Know, what really kills me day after day...is the trolls who have never used a Blackberry....refuse to use a Blackberry.....yet they still bash Blackberry. Blackberry users are not SHEEP who heard to the MOST current Samsung or iphone because it's OH so cool to have the latest and greatest (What they think is!)....Blackberry users use their Blackberry for it's purpose...A totally secure and reliable communication device with the best security out there when using a wireless communication device with someone else....OMG...but it does not have games to play with on the phone…I love my mindless time on what is essentially supposed to be for communication (Secure Communications) Well...the kids can play their games ...oh, and tap on a slab of glass to type out their ridiculous messages....but when it comes right down to it. Blackberry is for professional people beit Government or Corporate, or just someone who just wants to be left alone from the rest of the sheep with privacy and knowing they are private….then the Blackberry is for you....Thank God the Company still exists and produces the MOST secure phones on the planet!....Oh….and when actual keyboards with actual motion keys are no longer available for your desktop or laptop computer...and you now have to pound your fingers on a slab of glass again…for your desktop or laptop computer to work….you’ll then understand and respect why Blackberry is still around

  • You Know

  • I have been using my Classic for two years and now I couldn't go without the keypad. The Keyone looks awesome!

  • iRDa blast for remote control

  • I use a blackberry passport dallas, I`m very glad that I bought this model and the Keyone is very good choice for those who like the old school keyboard models from blackberry. Thumbs up for blackberry for this model also. Can`t wait for future models like these.

  • Haha. John Chen continues to amuse me with his lack of leadership and lack of understanding of what is going on inside the company he is supposedly running: Now BB new strategy is to focus on software? Haha. He is truly a captain without any idea what direction he is headed. How long will the stockholders keep him on board?

  • Why is it too early to comment about the price of the phone? We know the specs. We know it's not flagship. We know the price. The price is too high regardless of how well the Chinese assemble the phone. Too many other (better) options unless you absolutely must have a physical keyboard.

  • If only...This one is over the top and mediocre at the same time.... looks like a remote control...

  • Really? IR can be used for remote control, for example. It won't be used for file transferring like 10 years ago

  • Dual sim required BB

  • IRDA is useful, You can use your phone as remote control for various devices. Also air conditioning in office :)

  • u r absolutely right, my BB Z10 has all of these, mini HDMI, java and removable battery

  • Seriously, IRDA in 2017 !!! What's next: monochrome display, polyphonic ringing tones and WAP 1.0 with WML protocol browser?!?!?! You have to wake up to reality man! In recent years any self-respecting manufacturer did equipped their mobile phones with NFC chip, because that is more versatile than IRDA.

  • You must hate a lot of cell phones and a lot of cell phone companies. Are you looking for a cell or a laptop? The entitlement is strong with this one.

  • why cant BB have a phone with IRDA blast enabled...pls i will love to seee this kind of phone on BB

  • no java no mini hdmi no removable battery !!! f u bb !

  • New passport with android

  • paid for the receive for this note good will the surrunding

  • It's too early to comment about this phone. Remember when BlackBerry announced DTEK60, everyone speculated that it would be pricey but BlackBerry released it at a competitive price of $499. There's still a small probability that BlackBerry may release this phone in the range of $300 to $400 and in such case this phone does have the potential to take the market by storm. Priv was pricey because it was manufactured in-house by BlackBerry while this phone is manufactured by TCL, just like DTEK60 which reduces cost of manufacturing by great extent.

  • still waiting for new passport.

  • The priv is nice except the thermal throttling is terrible . But to be completely fair this keyone is far from a mud rwnfe device. It has the same camera as the pixel which is unbelievably good. The stereo speakers on blackberry are as good as any of the android dual speaker set up. And the screen, keyboard and software are top notch. The snapdragon 625 is a tried and true chip. It is one of he best chops for power efficiency bs as far as running programs, apps and games u will NOT notice a day to day difference what so ever. The idea that because the chipset isn't an 800 series snapdragon that it must be sun par is just wrong. The 800 series processors have had several dreary outcomes over the last few years. The 801 was the last really great chip in the 800 series prior to the 820 and. 821. The 805 was ok. The 808 was a crap chip. The 810 was horrible with power efficiency and thermal throttling. However the 600 series chips have had little to no issues. The 625 in the keyone will likely be one of the smartest moves that blackberry made with this phone as it will be toted as one of the longest lasting batteries I. A smartphone in 2017. I think u should really look into the keyone before u rule it out as "under spec'd"

  • Its price is too high,Blackberry keeps fiving too high prices for their OK specs wise phones,if this was 400 euros or US dollars,it would be fine, but this will likely cost 700 or something.I know this is not the phone for the casual consumer, but some people like blackberry phones for their beautifull design and want to buy them, but the price is too high, thats what happened with the Blackberry Priv as well.

  • Ive had some bb phones before. I really love phones with qwerty keyboard ( had p990i/p1i bfore) Ive been inlove with the passport (love the size/screen size and the soft keys, but had problems with some unupdated apps such as fb etc.wish it was android. Im an s7 user now but wanting to buy the priv.is it really worth it? Im sure Keyone would be pricey with a midrange specs. I think its not worth the price.

  • I'm waiting. .

  • not dual sim , and over price

  • I want this phone so bad, but I still have criticisms of it. I'll accept the non-standard aspect ratio; that's an obvious trade-off for having both not a slider keyboard while also not having an unnaturally long phone. I can accept it not having a Snapdragon 820/835, and I doubt I could tell the difference. It kills me though that it doesn't support the SlimPort or MHL technologies. I understand, that's old news by now. The latest android phone to even support MHL is like what, the Xperia Z5C? And SlimPort never really caught on, but it's still something I hate to see dying because of wireless mirroring technologies which have latency issues.

  • Hello first of all ; sorry for my bad writing & weak grammer But about this new product of lovely brand ; blackberry Body style is not like a usefull device for daily uses. I don't know how to explain my feeling about it but sharp edges , with 4.5 inch display & a qwerty physical keyboard in buttom, all of this on a flat & thin body (and not slide type) and 9.4 mm thickness ... seems a little bit large & weak and maybe fraigle when you want to use qwerty keyboard.(i dont know maybe not like this) I prefer some old models display size like 3.5inchs. (I compare all of futures with my favour model classic). About removing bb famous opticall trackball and direct keys for making calls , disconnect and bb menu & ... . I really can't understand that what can be a good acceptable reason for this mess from the producers ... Only battry seems good camera is more better from old versions and fingerprint sensor is a good option for this days devices. But at all i dont like this new model . for many years i used 9800 torch after that 9900 bold and befor this 8800 & .... Maybe blackberry want to make many changes in future. But the start of this way not seems clever. They lost the costumers soon. I think ..

  • dual sim required for Asian market, make it dual

  • dual sim

  • in this price segment we get best phone..40000/ its too much..

  • I have been waiting on a phone like this since the Blackberry 8830 with the rolly ball left us. I am checking which networks will let me use it and going to switch just to use this amazing phone!

  • Hardcore bb fan, gave up the passport for a galaxy. Keyone might bring me back, its basically an android passport. Really digging the fingerprint scanner, just dont like the android buttons as to me they signify a lesser device.

  • its lacking the 2nd sim card slot...

  • any price list is there

  • I was hoping for a second SIM card and removable battery, but unfortunately, it does not have one... instead I decided that I'll get the KEYone for my main device and just keep my Q10 around for my second SIM card.

  • with this price There's no IP Certification and its not dual sim ???!!!!

  • This... this is my next phone.

  • i agree with u no sense for hefty price

  • will it work bbblend?

  • It looks wonderful. I am switching from iphone to blackberry. Love the qwerty keyboard.

  • Does anyone have any idea if and when this phone will be available in South Africa?

  • There's none YET. There's no IP Certification for Water & Dust Resistance for the meantime.

  • Hello All, Is this water & dust resistance device ? What're the colors hitting stores in April 2017 ? Thank You & Regards

  • Hi I am travelling to usa during April Any chance of the phone releasing before the 13th of April? If yes will it be available in San Fransico? This phone looks amazing cant wait

  • make this water proof

  • Hahaha. Go on.

  • The only fools are John Chen, Blackberry CEO, for his horrible to market strategy, and the people who pay full price for this phone. Wait about 8 weeks. The price of this phone will drop like a stone in water.

  • Haha - I believe you should look in the mirror when you say that. Look at the performance of the iphone and the CPU they put in their phones over the years. They justify the price through their performance, engineering and proprietary OS. As I pointed out before in another comment, it's a big assumption that the quality of a Blackberry TCL phone will be good. Blackberry is not Apple. THINK!

  • I am curious what you believe a business user is getting that justifies the "hefty price"? You can't say it's for the quality because that's an unknown. Saying otherwise is to make a BIG assumption, since this is the first Blackberry phone made by this Chinese company under the Blackberry license. The physical QWERTY keyboard phones are a niche market and there isn't enough of it to grow a company, let alone sustain it.

  • John Chen lacks the vision to move this company forward. The probability of an BOS 10.x phone being released is becoming slimmer and slimmer. He fired almost all the BOS developers. Because there are no new phones and the BOS 10.x market share is getting smaller and smaller, the 3rd party developers are leaving the platform. The only way I see it possibly being revived is if a third party manufacturer comes up with a licensing deal with Blackberry. Unlikely (read again, John Chen has no vision). I don't expect to see another BOS 10.x phone or for that matter, any Blackberry phone with true flagship specs under Chen's watch.

  • yeah they could probably sell these pretty well if the price came down to even just 400-500. there is simply no reason to make it as expensive as they want. there is nothing that justifies this. i really hope they do that

  • The leaked pricing isn't yet finalised so there's still some probability that it would be released at a justifiable price.

  • Why its not dual sim ???!!!!

  • BB can you launch dual sim feature on this phone please.....

  • Great phone. Disappointed with high pricing. Wish it has dual sim too.... Other then that looks perfect. I hope the shops will stock it....

  • Blackberry: WE ARE BEGGING YOU!!!! A dual-SIM phone damn it!!!!! What would it hurt if BB manufactured KeyOne with Dual SIM?!

  • December

  • this phone is single SIM or dual SIM

  • Wen dis fone out?

  • Sure, as this will be running on android so WhatsApp will be working fine and smoothly.

  • hello please tell me if it works on whatsapp and if will work in future thank you

  • Card slot microSD, up to 2TB

  • amazing phone

  • Me too

  • I am really happy Blackberry could manage to stand still... I wish in future will be launching in BB OS again... From a BB fan Thanks

  • When is it BB Keyone coming to India?

  • i am bb fan ... but this device is too heavy dont u think ?

  • The price is ridiculous. I can buy a used-iPhone 7 with that price. This gonna be failed.

  • top choice

  • Me tooooo, wating 4 UAE launching.

  • I am waiting for the day when it will be launch :)

  • can i get any information regarding inbuilt documents to go? otherwise any other apps is installed with license.

  • hi, i like blackberry and this handset is pretty in look but might be weighted. by the way, i am waiting and so excited to available in market soon.

  • Blackberry phones has premium build quality and primarily designed for work and business, as evidenced by the old school design like the keyboard, the smallish screen size, the "low specs", and the likes. Its target market is the work and business world. Its hefty price won't do you justice if you are not in that market. If you just use your phone for social networking, games or multimedia purposes then you are looking at the wrong brand of phone. I do use my Passport for work and business. I do keep another phone suitable for other purposes such as the ones mentioned.

  • i want it so bad that i cannot wait any more

  • That's right. The perfect blend of the two OSs. This KEYone is very promising even for those who were waiting for the perfect combination and here it is! I'm loving it. BlackBerry user for 10 years now.

  • Snapdragon 625 is faster than 801/805 and more efficient than 810 and 820 while being slightly slower in single core. In everyday tasks, you won't see much difference between a 625 vs 820. The fact it has a more power efficient SoC while packing 3500 mAh to power only a 4.5" display makes it worth considering. Retro-lovers galore with the new Nokia 3310 and Keyone. I think this is the best designed BB since the Bold 9900 from 2011. It wouldn't be catered to me because I've been using SwiftKey on Android for four years now and I adjust the keyboard to the largest size. Typing on a 5-5.5" is near perfect and save hundreds of keystrokes because of its predictive system. For old school lovers who still prefer physical QWERTY, then this should be your only option. For most others, use SwiftKey on a 5.3-5.5" Android. The iOS version of it and its stock kb are all inferior Android's SwiftKey.

  • luxuary

  • BlackBerry brand is dead. The material is plastic. This is gonna be the next epic fail

  • It premium by brand name, design and built material. How iPhone 7 label as premium phone? Think!

  • it should be dual sim

  • At least it has got some design. Want it to be less cost.

  • I have a BB Z10 Since 2013, it works well as a first day and has a lot off benefits that other new phones, I like the DTK50 and 60 but I dont want to change BB OS

  • Yes I'm also like BlackBerry os must then android

  • waiting for launch

  • It seems to be a good comeback by BlackBerry. Hope of getting my hands on this stupendously designed device. Keep it's price competitive, you gonna get the rewards.

  • How is this called a "premium phone" with those specs? TCL's execs are as clueless as John Chen. Snapdragon 625 - LOL

  • Keyboard looks good, disappointed with screen resolution. Priv and DTEK60 look to have better specs.

  • Marius , its true No OS is as secure as the BB10. But bro, its disappointing seeing the OS on the verge of getting extinct. No other options will be left after sometime , perhaps by the end of 2017.

  • Honestly Passport is looking beter than this keyone

  • this device doesn't come with built in stereo speaker.

  • So much wanting to buy this but for the single SIM which is a big NO.

  • Dose it support VoLTE

  • I'm so excited BB is coming back. I want to have blackberry unit once the KEYone is available.

  • I have never used BB mobiles and recently just bought secondhand Blackberry Classic. Then I watched few videos on YouTube to see how to use this thing and what is actually BB concept. I have to say that I am just in Love with mobile, and BlackBerry company. I am going to buy this phone for two reasons. 1) It is the blend of latest os + BB core productivity tools like physical keyboard, security and THE BEST "The Hub" 2) I want to support this company which has been the only company supplying smartphones which were productive before this all touch screen revolution starts.

  • I think with the classic BlackBerry devices will relive a lot of prestige as it was

  • I yes, blackberry MUST continue with bb10 classic!

  • With a quality device like BlackBerry you don't need to remove the battery

  • Yep Marius. It totally beats me why BlackBerry didn't release both BB10 and Adroid versions of their latest phones so the users get to choose. BB10 is by far a superior OS for phones: security, ease of use, logical layout, flexibility, etc.

  • design looks nice

  • Really am looking forward for this phone, finally I can feel the keys pressing and a bit of nostalgia could be enjoyed too. Its been ages since a physical keyboard was added on any phone. Specs are not as strong as flagship phones these days, however don't want it to blow up either.

  • I am so excited for this phone. I just recently bought a classic for its keyboard and it seems like this will be my future phone. I know the specs are not that stellar but I am a simple user and not a fan of phone with similar build that keeps on upgrading every year. I have my laptop to satisfy my multimedia and gaming needs. I do agree that the price is steep for this phone so I'll wait for a year or two before I purchase one. Thank you blackberry for not giving up on keyboard lovers like me even though a lot of people criticize you for it

  • A mid-ranger with the price of a flagship and a screen this size? Blackberry must be crazy

  • Would have bought that phone if it was Landscape Slider...8/10 for Specs (Cons: Non-Removable Battery & Newer OS...rumor has it Android 6+ don't have Move Apps to SDcard & Disables Internal Memory if you format SDcard to Internal Memory so you have to choose between internal or external memory) #Lanscape Slider Pros - 3GB RAM (Perfect) - 2.0Ghz CPU, 8-Core (Though a Single High CPU suck battery, 8-Cores helps) - 32GB Storage (Perfect with Any SDcard & Old "Move Apps to SDcard" Feature) - Adreno 506 GPU (OpenGL 3.2 Support = PS2 Games) - 4.5" Display & 1080p Resolution (For Games that require bigger Resolution) - Built-In Radio (How I miss those days), 8MP Camera, etc Cons - Non-Removable...If the Battery had a compact 100,000mAh I still wouldn't touch that phone - AGAIN WITH THE PORTRAIT SLIDER AND NO NUM ROW...THIS HAS A GAMING GPU, BUT DISPLAY TO PLAY FLAPPY BIRD ALSO IT MUST BE HARD USING THIS PHONE WITH TOP OF THE SCREEN BEING SO FAR UP

  • *hands-on lol you know what I meant... :)

  • What's "hans"-on. Is that Han Solo getting touchy feely with Leia again?

  • nice phone

  • The slack is just price, so I will wait until december because the price will go down because of lunching another device, s625 really good for battery, bb not for gamer but for professional or work

  • I totally agree! #qwertykeyboardrocks

  • I agree.. Priv was WAY too overpriced..

  • There is more to a phone than specs. Anyway, the camera is NOT worse than the two year old Priv's. It has less MP, but it's the same sensor as the one on the Google Pixel phones so it will certainly produce higher quality images.

  • this design is same as sony ericsson P1I

  • its waste of money.... u guys don't see our feedback seriously....

  • Its look better.. Blackberry is one of the most popular brand in phone and its never let down to our costumers... Anybody tell about its price in India ?

  • they should make the 9760 again .. its a good looking phone

  • Troll

  • agreed. it should have been dual sim if its a corporate communication device.

  • Right

  • This is just a mirage, because no security related application can't cope stupidity and naivety demonstrated over the past years by many android owners. Android and Security are two words that do not really belong in the same sentence. Search Google about QuadRoot exploits and see how many Android devices were exposed to that. Including here BlackBerry PRIV (ironically PRIV stands for privacy) and BlackBerry DTEK 50. Both phones promoted and praised as "two of the most secure android phones available to masses" Can you tell me how many BlackBerry 10 devices were exposed to malware, exploits, viruses, etc? The answer is ZERO, my friend! Of couse, never say never, but chances of seeing a virus on a BlackBerry10 device are almost zero. And that without having an ativirus software or any other security related app installed on device. Want to know why is that? Because BB10 OS it is a proprietary operating system and in the same time it is a closed source operating system. This is security, not a baby toy powered by an open source Android that is likely to receive a virus by just surfing on Google. End of story.

  • I love Blackberry phones, because I type on phones a lot. But yeah, Blackberry keyboard layout need to be improved. I find the old Nokia E63 has better keyboard layout than Blackberry. But now if you want to have a PKB phone, there is no other choices rather than Blackberry.

  • stereo speakers, but both speaker at the bottom? ouchh!!! speaker at the above can be used to listen to music?

  • i like research in motion for their maintenance of traditional qwet keyboard. with qwet, typing is precise. keep on blackberry, i will be one of the first people to grab it

  • Doubble press on space bar tupes a full stop . Its called bb typing shortcuts which android has also copied

  • Basically $600 phone with.... worse camera than 2 year old Priv, marginally better CPU, and same 3 gigs of ram? Really BB? I was actually psyched for this one until I saw the final specs. Might as well honestly get Nokia 6 because it blows this out of the water for half the price.

  • I also like blackberry. But now a days I am avoiding blackberry phones as they are introducing non removable battery phones. If they make some changes in BB Q10 & maintain non removable battery with price cut. It will sell like anything

  • I would get this phone if the PRICE warrants features!!!! If BB keeps OVERpricing their phones, they would never get a customer base that they have already lost years ago. Look at HTC's fate now. But from what i see so far, yes i want to get this.

  • Finally a work phone that is free from all the entertaninment gimmicks...its a communication device... most people use a fraction of the features in todays smart phone..yet they are looking to buy the most recent performance smartphone... I shall buy a Blackberry Keyone to replace my old Q10.

  • We need qwerty with optical track pad which is android

  • Dear Friends, If someone doesn't like this 'BBkey1' please keep quite and don't demotivate others. The phone is fantastic, But the price is a little bit more.

  • Oh god, so tiresome those who complain about not having the best chipset all the time.. SOOOOO tiresome. This is not a gaming device, the SD 625 is more than enough, its powerful enough and its one of the most efficient so the battery life will be very good

  • Correct... too pricy

  • Comon that's the case with even on screen keyboards, type twice for numbers. And even layout of keys is still based on traditional physical keyboard. Basics never change. There are people around who like physical keyboard. It's upto you to buy or not to buy.

  • I have 3 gb on my Huawei p9 and 3 gb is plenty unless u don't use it for gaming. If it had more ram or high end processor the phone would cost 700 $ again just like the Priv.I think the specs are decent bug maybe the price could be 50$ less.

  • Ussualy it's an antenna line ... Maybe 😁

  • Great handset. People who complain this phone has a keyboard, should just shut up. There are 7 billion of us. Some of us DO WANT KEYBOARDS!. My only disappointment is the price and the fact, it does not have dual sim.

  • The keyboard needs improving. It has an ancient layout. Typing something as simple as fullstop or question mark requires 2 presses. and no number row either...

  • im not sure who this is for so confused why blackberry

  • BlackBerry Android's comes with built-in BlackBerry Integrity Detection, which continuously monitors for events or configuration changes that could compromise the security of the device. This includes: Checking the integrity of the kernel on device bootup. (that means you can't root this device , whatever you install it will be removed by secure startup) Checking for unauthorized changes to the SELinux policy Monitoring file system mounting permissions Ensuring that unauthorized apps don’t acquire escalated privileges Disabling security sensitive applications such as pathtrust so i'am pretty sure that it still provides better security than most of the android's .

  • It is quite possible that the release date will be an April fool for blackberry. They set the price high over the top that people want to afford a phone like this. There are not many people who still favorite physical keyboard. And for those who still, they do not want to spend that amount of money. I was waiting for this phone, but after seeing the price it is clear that I have to move to other brands who are willing to give high spec with much better price.

  • I am reading all kinds of comments about this phone's security... I know it's hard, but someone has to tell you the truth: It is an Android device, therefore you will have the same security as any other device powered by Android on the market. The DTEK app only shows you "what, why and how" but does not protect you against malware and cyberthreats. This phone will be as vulnerable as any Android phone. There is no such thing as irreplaceable battery. The battery can't be replace at home by a regular user. It you have the right tools and the kow-how you can replace the battery at you home, without sending the phone to a service unit. Strict about this phone: A midrange terminal with a price of a premium terminal but with an advantage of having a physical keyboard. If you need a pure business and secure phone, buy yourself a BlackBerry 10 device!

  • Looking forward to this phone......passport was the best handset i ever had....so easy to work things out with the up,down, right and left swipes....shame it was not android so apps were difficult....until now....cant wait to get my hand on one.

  • I guess... 4GB is plenty (just the 3GB RAM on the Priv lags)

  • KeyONE is just a Blackberry Passport squished width-wise

  • IKR! But from reviews they say that because it's so curvy around the bottom sides, it feels somewhat thin.

  • I don't care what others say, this is a functional phone that breaks the mold of today's crappy options and I'm glad it is finally here. Keyboards for life.

  • For its target market 3gb RAM is plenty, snapdragon 821 will only really show up in benchmarks nobody is buying this as a gaming machine. As to 5inch screen besides making device more cumbersome at 5 inches you actually get 4.5 inches no pesky pop up onscreen keyboard rubbish to spoil it. Out of all the rleases at MWC this is my fave although Nokia 3310 is good no 3g means cannot buy it. This is overpriced though it should be 399GBP here in UK.

  • How about a BlackBerry KEYone+ with a 5" screen, 4gb ram and an SD821 chipset? Just a suggestion BlackBerry...

  • It's Android, you can download any file manager you'd like.

  • at least equipped it with SD653 tbh :(

  • Blackberry might have to come down in price tag at launch itself OR replace it's SoC to SD 820+ (still keeping price tag sane) Moto G5+ will 'kill' this phone in market when it comes to pricing. It has same SoC, identical resolution (1080) on IPS LCD, nearly similar cam, both run nearly stock Android, both have fingerprint scanner, both have rapid charging. Moto G has bigger screen when compared to BB, but battery capacity is 3000 mAh. BB has security features from BB software, physical keyboard and 3500 mAh battery. Sole factor of variation in front cam is not huge game changer. But Moto G 5+ will be appx 1/3 the price of BB and shall be released in March 2017 ( a month earlier than BB). It would be insane to pay 3 times the price for just physical keyboard and few extra mAh of battery juice. Security features are essential, but it's not that each and every buyer is working on a top secret mission. Moto will literally gain upper hand due to established image of G family, even before BB enters the market. Plus there is an equally capable competitor in Xiaomi Note 4 (SD version). I feel John Chen still can rethink the startegy and act fast.

  • Price might come down fast. It is BB flagship device not a flagship device and I agree should be priced accordingly, chipset will be fine.

  • Non removeable battery, 4.5 inch display is a letdown. However the classic keyboard feel is a big plus for the phone. However, of late the android phones that have been launched by Blackberry are too premium in pricing which may not attract too many buyers are there are to many smartphones available for that price bracket from the likes of Samsung, Motorola, Upcoming Nokia series, LG and many more which offer a far better user interface / experience. Regards

  • Great build, but I feel that they're repeating the same mistake by selling us a mid-range to upper range device with a premium price attached.

  • chipset make me sad :'(

  • I was really excited about this phone because it's BB and I love the physical keyboard of them .But after seeing the specs I'm not happy .old version of snapdragon. No more colours.just 3gb ram. Then take a look at the price.

  • If this has an endurance rating of 90h plus from the GSMArena review test, I'll definitely grab this one, especially for $799AUD, I don't need a super high end chip anyway. I doubt I'll notice much of a performance difference coming from my HTC 10 anyway.

  • OH, SWEET LAWD ALL MIGHTY! about damn time. my classic is way too old for newer apps and i don't want touch.

  • Solid build...as always...I have dropped my classic a few hundred times without a lick of damage...this looks very well built...

  • There are A LOT of business that issue out a work phone.

  • Nice replacement for my Classic. KEY One looks like a very good daily "workhorse" and that's exactly what I need. Well done BB!

  • No pitty enough it has not the BlackBerry Map manager but you can install the asus version.

  • good suggestion

  • Does it have file manager like BlackBerry OS 10 ?

  • physical keyboard is good(keep it up), touch is still not convenient. But Passport has better design

  • 9.4mm thickness , its so weird

  • Your wishlist is ridiculous, really. 6GB of RAM? Lol.

  • Blackberry needs to make a phone with a horizontal keyboard. How about the PRIV 2 with a slide out landscape keyboard, 4GB of RAM minimum (6GB preferred), Super AMOLED 1080P minimum screen, and all the other basics. Bring back the old. Like the OQO model 02 or 03 design but a phone.

  • Any blackberry model not suport dual sim!

  • Frustrated. Mid range specs in flagship price. Failure is imminent.

  • planning to buy it. when it will come to India ? Please inform me. :)

  • Non removable battery, lol, should I wonder why? Of course not, a lot of us know why....skip, skip,skip......black list device!

  • Earthly unreachable

  • Finally! But I'll wait the second version of that work. I see keys still need to be more comfortable.

  • Nice replacement for my Classic. KEY One looks like a very good daily "workhorse" and that's exactly what I need. Well done BB!

  • I wish it had super amoled display..

  • Excellent.

  • You are right, however consider the software that comes with it. The device isn't aimed for the casual market but rather for business men and politicians

  • i don't get it as to why BlackBerry insists on making smart phones with physical keypads which takes more space that could've been used for bigger touch screen size. A 5.5 inch screen coupled with an advanced camera would have done it for this phone

  • what this chip ??? can you explain more ?

  • bye..bye blackberry

  • Over priced phone with low grade chip set

  • That's what i was waiting for ;-)

  • Everything is good except the chipset. I wouldn't mind a $649 bb phone but atleast sd821 should be a given in 2017 considering sd835 is coming in a couple of months. I love blackberry but $549 for a sd625 phone !!!! Unbelievable

  • No ...thanks .. Waiting BB with 5.5inch - 6 inch 4K display ... 6GB ram ... 256gb internal memory ..

  • Nothing new

  • I believe these marketing ideas of saying "this device is targeted to corporate, government or business" is now outdated. Check the devices which are marketed in this umbrella like lumia, elite x3 and black berry, they don't sell very well even to their targeted customers. Most of us are already in corporate, government or business entities and most of us do not find the need for those phones. Our normal devices save the purpose nicely. Its like trying to fix something wich is not even broken yet.

  • Unbelievable jokes! 600 Euro?

  • Apart from the chipset,It's really awesome and perfect for the next gen smart users... Hope pricing will be reasonable

  • Same thickness as the Priv, slightly taller and narrower though. About the same size as the S7 Edge. Nice beefy battery, should last all day. Why didnt they just call it the Blackberry K1... sounds so much better.

  • Idiot Blackberry. first was give up on bb10,second mistake is this! Sd625?3gb? Wait 2 months for this? and very huge disappointment! just why didn't put a goddamn 821 or 835 or at least 820! with above 4Gb ram i would pay even 900Euro for this specs. OH GOSH!

  • It's gonna fail for sure. I love pkb and still use q10. But what the reason to buy a keypad for $200. A $350 android is more than enough for me. Peoples still choose samsung/iphone for high end phone. Stupid BlackBerry.

  • Simply making device for the corporate world simply doesn't work considering most corporate workers do have their own devices Only few corporate workers carry around with them second device.

  • Sad to see the outcome for a device so long expected..... Hardware - the Passport has it all and more. Software - the DTEKs have it all and more. Chipset, screen, RAM - much better in DTEK60. Passport - comparable keyboard quality, definitely better screen... Price - a real killer! Sad but true as they say. Sorry BB, but no.

  • Amazing finally a phone I have long waiting for. Wished the internal memory was more as 32 gb is low but everything else just perfect/

  • And dual sim please hate carrying two phones

  • Amazing finally a phone I have long waiting for. Wished the internal memory was more as 32 gb is low but everything else just perfect/

  • 625 at 2ghz at 10nm is really enought , it's not gaming mobile , and with the batterie at 3500 it's just perfect, just maybe the dimensions looks large

  • All the people complaining about the device are forgetting that this phone is not aimed for consumers. It's aimed for government and corporate. That's why the efficient Snapdragon 625 is in it, and that's why the price is what it is.

  • Overall I love this phone. Great battery, awesome QWERTY keyboard and good camera (plus the great BlackBerry software, even if it is Android ;). All you need in a business minded smartphone. The SD625 is a bit low tier for a flagship but I think it's adequate for a phone of this type (probably not a lot of gaming on this one ;), plus it's supposedly quite power efficient. Can't wait for April!!!

  • Pros: Everything Cons: Release date How about February 26, anybody?

  • I couldn't wait for the launch like a child waiting to receive his gift However 2 things disappointed my expectations 1 was the processor speed agsiant price I mean why not install 825 snapdragon Would be perfect 2 nd the name keyone agsiant Mercury no brainer

  • they should have used at least snap 650 or 652. 625 is too low these days.

  • Snap 625 and 600 euro???? Why??? Its so expensive for this chipset

  • No Dual-SIM, and 549 USD? I say nay!

  • very attractive design ,blackberry with tough phones

  • Finally the wait is over...definitely going to buy this...

  • Dual sim plz...

  • Let your nails grow? LOL

  • Anxiously waiting for the this master piece! Although using priv but this one will break the barrier. If blackberry people can hear us, please make this dual sim!!! Please.

  • I have a iphone 6 but only use my phone for internet, email and sending message's and never play games or watching movies or series. I always mistype and hate itunes and you payed to much for the iphone. So I gone buy the Mercury aka DTEK70 because It's a I need and has allready an epic keyboard like the old days. This is and will be the best social media device in the world with the best security. p.s I still using BBM because it the best messenger that not sell your stuff or storage anything like facebook or whatsapp. Privacy is Freedom. Stop your online footprint to the minimal.

  • Anxious to be able to purchase. Would like to know if it will bluetooth with my blackberry playbook. As I'm not in wifi area? And carriers in florida

  • Waiting for u Blackberry.....Loving it ❤

  • nice, i think BB is back.

  • I kinda hate the fact that they got rid of BB OS... Besides that this phone looks amazing though. Might switch from iPhone to Blackberry even though I don't really like Android.

  • both camera have 1080@ recording function

  • No 4K recording?

  • How's it battery life ?

  • please do dual sim

  • Thanks for a CLEAR answer, at last! Onwards and upwards! Geoff Adams (UK)--

  • It should be android 7.0

  • hope dual sim card

  • waiting for this phn loved it

  • always love the qwerty keyboard been a user of a Classic but apps are leaving the BBOS, so decided to ditch the Classic hope Mercury compromise my favor of keyboard combined with rich apps of PlayStore

  • I am a frequent Balkibord BlackBerry devices. The reason is because the device is a practical and classic and be distinctive and unique device. I liked this device actually, and I hope to be released in this way because it is more than wonderful

  • Are you kidding me? This is Blackberry.

  • It's going to be Android based

  • I have been waiting for something to upgrade to I'm still using the passport. Looks like this is going to be my next daily driver. Hope it's priced right! Hope they update the passport I just love the bb 10 os but thinking that's just dreaming I have to take the plunge into android aagghhh

  • Will definitely buy this phone looks amazing

  • I like your post . I want a second generation of BlackBerry passport me to. PS BlackBerry OS is the best.

  • i love blackberry phone always. the new look and design and hardware every time . soft touch and felling to great to have it . it love to bb with android and best camera with huge shade flashlight.

  • this phone is more targeted to specific audience like business ppl, it is not for kids..

  • All my life, its been android all tru. With the mercury coming with keyboard and android is.This will definitely b my first android phn

  • i like it but the best without keyboard

  • 4.5" seem to be to small after the Qwerty for multimedia, 4.7" maybe just nice to have.

  • Just dreaming but I'd love to see a 2nd version more like the passport standard, along with the passport SE-similar version. Also hope they keep the "Mercury" name, kinda don't like the "DTEK" thing. Gotta love this phone! Keep it up BlackBerry!!!

  • Once you get used to the keyboard, you will wonder how you lived without it. SO much better then on-screen keyboards. As far as screen size goes, it might be a bit tall in relation to the width. Then again, I hardly ever use my phone in landscape mode, so it isn't a big issue. Love the look, though physical answer, end, and home keys above the keyboard would have been nice rather than touch keys, but hey, it's Android. Hopefully they will bring out a BlackBerry OS10 version. Even better would be a Windows 10 Mobile version. Both are so much better for business users compared to Android.

  • Agreed.

  • This phone is for a targeted audience. If you think a keyboard is dumb, not for you, has no benefit, etc, you are not in the targeted audience. I personally can't wait for this phone. I'm not a blackberry fan, don't really like the design, etc. but it is the newest phone with a physical keyboard. I never even owned a blackberry before. The touch screen and keyboard mix is the best. No stupid auto correct problems, no need to reread everything just in case the phone decided to change it on you, don't even need to look at the phone when using it because you can feel the physical buttons. This phone has many simple features that aren't on any other phone.

  • I would love to have it. I really miss the physical keyboard. I hope the specs are confirmed and it will come soon.

  • I can't wait for this phone. I get annoyed people who criticize for people wanting a keyboard. There are 7 billion people in the world and some of use want different things. Some of us do want to do a useful things on our smartphones. I only wish Blackberry had bought this model are out right way. I hope it has dual SIM. I hope they bring out a model with a stylus. To compete with Samsung's Note range. I did like the Pirv, but did not like the slide keyboard and it was expensive.

  • Then don't buy it. There are plenty of people out there in the business world who would love to have a physical keyboard again on a reliable phone.

  • That physical keyboard is just retarded!

  • No it won't have it. It doesn't run on BlackBerry 10 OS. It runs on a specially designed cryptographic Android which employs kernel, OS and file-system level encryption coupled with DTEK security system, secure boot and automatic root-kit detection and removal system.

  • What about BlackBerry apps? Will the 'mercury' still have BlackBerry App World? I am asking. Geoff Adams (UK).--

  • Can anyone know the dimension of DKEK70/Mercury?

  • what is the dimension ?

  • hope it is smaller than Priv it ached my hands using Priv, Wish is had D-P and Send/End green/Red keys ,,maybe next time.

  • Are you serious???!!! Is it android?? Oh no

  • as time pass by Blackberry Phones becoming much much better. Ready to Reclaim there spot in the near future.

  • Really looking forward to this.

  • On top

  • it will be too large. very bad screen to body ratio. bulky

  • Price price price. They had better keep the price as low as possible AND TCL and BlackBerry had better doing some advertising if they want to sell any of them. They might as well advertise the DTEK50 and DTEK60 devices while they're at it too. Pricing and marketing - Any device sale success will depend on these two things more than the specs and hardware.

  • Yes. With the fingerprint sendor in space bar it is a super idea.

  • Yes. I'm totally agree with you. But the OS is a mistake. One true BB heart is the Blackberry OS. I miss that.

  • I am a die hard BB fan and like to use QWERTY. So,waiting for this device .

  • Me too

  • Oh is it true?

  • Agree. 3 in Q10 size is enough. AMOLED as the q10 will be great too.

  • It will never happen but if they could offer this in mini version - dtek70 mini... with screen half as long that would be ideal.

  • Looked at some vids and pics but cannot see where headphone jack is. That thing on top in some vids says its power button?

  • They have to bring this out at under £500 to generate some sales but £400-429 and buying straight away. I always still love pressing real keys and with the return of Nokia this year hope to see some proper design instead of just a slab screen.

  • This looks one cool smartfone. Wish it had proper send/end keys tho.

  • Ii really like the look of the back of the phone

  • reminder to blackberry reconstract and improve your messaging app , make them easy to operate and hassle free fast sending sample Q10 ect. and your good to go . thanks

  • true blackberry is acctualy the keyboard...is great the chating with that key

  • is true..now i have motorola droid maxx ..in a past i use 6 phones with keyboard 8520...9700..9810..9900...q10 ..and q20 and the whay you chat is a plesure...i change os to android because of that mystake of whatsapp ..i return on keyboard in spring is very easy to chat!!!

  • The only reason I like blackberry is the physical keyboard. A $300 android phone is ok for me. The maximum price for me is about $400. More than that i'd rather stick to my lenovo.

  • Everybody who's saying keyboard is small must have never had a physical keyboard phone. U can't compare physical kyeboard size to touchscreen keyboard size. Physical keyboard could be 2 times smaller than the one on touchscreen and still you'd be able to type faster on physical keyboard. I've had NOKIA E6. Q10, PASSPORT, CLASSIC. after nokia E6 I went to LUMIA 1520. check the differences of size of those phones. I didn't not had trouble typing on NOKIA E6 ever.

  • BlackBerry has roll software update in all passports which makes it android... I think passport can handle that... :)

  • Too all you ....guys , with the comments that ur hands are to big for this ladies keyboard...lol get over yourself . The keys are raised and doesn't, matter how big your hands are.....or how big you think they are. I can type faster with my bb classic key board then my laptop ,mind over matter and a little practice........and it is brilliant !!!!!!

  • Really I like that and want that.

  • Sure another android phone. Were is the real BlackBerry?

  • The DTEK60 went really well. Can only see things getting better for BlackBerry now - this looks a top quality phone, going back to their roots with a keypad too. I like it! Ashley McAndrew-Hack - Ingram Micro UK

  • Harry up bb.we ar waiting for that mercury

  • yes i agree with you...passport is good in everything except it runs with bbos..i want passport in android too

  • Was going to buy another ANDROID phone, but now this one for sure due to its brilliant keyboard.

  • Oh yes, Snapdragon 821...three years ago...good good good :))

  • snapdragon 821 were from 3 years ago u mean?

  • If Blackberry / TCL launch this with a Snapdragon 821 and 4gb of Ram and 64gb of storage with the already Stereo speakers and they tweak the hell out of the cameras to take stellars pictures front and rear we have a serious Flagship on our hands ....question is how much does TCL want this.???? And yes if this is the Specs I will first in line this would be the first true bold replacement.

  • Pretty disappointing specs. It looks like something from about 3 years ago

  • Looks good. At least for me, Blackberrys are very good phones. I'll have to make up my mind which one to retire - Classic or Passport - when this one come out.

  • design is absolutely brilliant, but the entire size should within 147 x 77.2 x 9.4 mm (5.79 x 3.04 x 0.37 in) or preferably slightly more. It should not be too big or too small. Yes, The silver part should be black and edge curved. To more improvise, all the apps should be kept on the key pad on long press.

  • physical keyboard, that's wonderful

  • The top silver part should be black as well , and the corners should be rounded like the bottom once , just to be perfect .

  • Very beautiful I hope I would get one

  • My next phone... Been waiting for keyboard with android and bb hub and decent battery... cant wait

  • I believe BB shall make also an side slider. I had about 6 years ago an Nokia E7, brilliant side slider, excellent design and build quality. Only one unpleasant issue - way to heavy. --- I would guess a reloaded version (SD 821, 4GB, 5.2 or 5.5", etc). A slider keyboard will be a great advantage for regular man's hands. Easy to hold the phone and type with both hands.

  • Every constructor goes to boardless & Blackberry goes to physique keybord

  • None of you have used it... So STFU about it being too small.

  • It should BlackBerry os not android.

  • I meant people who have never had a physical keyboard phone. Stupid touch keyboards and auto-correct.

  • It could be $600 and still be more useful than any Iphone, Samsung, or any of the Chinese made stuff. For those that have never had a touch screen phone, try racing someone who has a physical keyboard sometime. Bet they can type faster and more accurately without even looking at the keyboard than you can typung normally. I used to have a little LG900 feature phone that had a PK. I could consistently win bets for how fast and accurately I could send a specific text message. And this was against Iphone3's, Samsung Galaxy 1 and 2, plus Motorola DX2. Then again, I am old enough to remeber learning to type on IBM Selectric typewriters. Didn't even have correction ribbons, had to use correction paper and type over the character.

  • Why not a new Passport? Yes simply a Passport with android OS!! Perfect to business device!!!

  • Had blackberry in hands and keyboard is too small. It fits only hands of a small guy or dwarf. Doesnt matter how you look at me when its small its small its a blackberry problem and a way good reason why not to buy this phone.

  • I hope the price will be around 400 dollar, I believe this dtek 70 will make blackberry on the eye of the world because most of phone has same function...whatsapp,fb,video,selfie,browsing,.....the 'wow' factor for this phone is the battery,security,qwerty..easy to work with it...however if the price above 400 dollar, I don't think it will make a good comeback...people will choose iphone, samsung, huawei

  • Obviously never tried a blackberry before.......

  • Work??? How you can work on that tiny keyboard. Or you have fingers like needles :-) Maybe then. Its crap. I have 5 inch screen on my Lenovo and its still too small. Often happens to me a will push 2-3 letters at same time instead of one. This phone looks nice but is useless. Thats my opinion. Unless you are little man or dwarf.

  • To small too bad. This is either phone for child or for ladies. Theres no normal man who can write on 4,5 inch display. Even a keyboard is so tiny its useless. Really really bad phone.

  • OK then.. BlackBerry is back on track with popular platform with popular screen size and with traditonal QWERTY that is super good.. I hope the price is bellow $400, and can't wait to see BlackBerry wiil be Popular again.

  • never understood why people judging camera by their large number of Megapixel lool Google Pixel XL has 12MP which producing better pict than 20MP's Xiaomi Mi Note 2

  • When will this Mercury be availabe

  • I love the design. Camera MP is perfect. This should be a wow phone.

  • What's up with the thick black line around the screen it that normal?

  • display will be fine, passport also have a 4.5 inch display which is a square one, it's really good everything is perfect regarding the display, here it's not square, so mercury will be more handy than passport

  • 4.5 isn't that small, BlackBerry design every smartphone of their with perfection, . This one will be really good,

  • Are you sure it is 4.5" with physical keypad ? The display may too short to read ya..

  • I see: you want something with better hardware than Lenovo P2, but cheaper. I understand that you also prefer a nice big mansion with pool, in Manhattan, but cheaper than a Bachelor in Detroit. Of course, if this won't happen, you will stay with your super Lenovo P2. Well, good luck!

  • Holy hell... it is beautiful...

  • expecting a snapdragon 821 phone to be under 200$ is beyond delusional

  • Like I said if the price of this phone is under $200 it will be good for blackberry to bring back their glory

  • Im using Lenovo P2 bought in Indonesia for $239, so my expectation is normal to this blackberry dtek with the price under $200

  • Which phone you are using, if you want it under 200 you should make it by your own, you need all these high end stuff with great looks, and from a brand like BlackBerry for just 200, hands off man, you are such a legend

  • I love it so much the designers make it perfectly .

  • This will be very expensive in terms of BB pricing - if it can beat the Zuk Z2 pricing then can be a successful attempt in the market

  • Love this one! From the vids that came out from CES 2017, it looks very gorgeous indeed! I'll have to get one.

  • just another irrelevant.. But, if the price under $200 it will be good

  • Will defo have my eyes on this one ;D

  • when passport SE get married with priv !! then will get this son Hhhhhhhh It's nice looking phone :) thank's BB the time is coming to change my passport after 2 years :)

  • This phone is CRAZY! Gorgeous design, and hopefully with great specifications with a normal price tag. BlackBerry, TCL, congratulations - you just made one of my favorite phones of 2017!

  • I must say that this phone is to crazy thanks blackberry this phone is no#1 OMG
