I have had BLU phones before and it served its purpose since they are cheap, but by far this is the worse phone ever. It shuts down for days, it restarts and then stays on a white blank screen, it sticks to every application you try to open. waste of my lunch money.

I had this phone only for 3 months and it was working great for the first month and then it would turn off for itself with a full battery. At times it would not turn on and I would press the power button and volume but now all it does it lights up but would not turn on to use. This is nonesense.

i only, have a problem with the blu phone powering off all of the time, which is good, then i have to power it back on by powering it back up with a tiny pin to stick in the hold on the righthand side, then push the power button for it to power up! it's very annoying! why does it do that?

this phone has been my one nightmare. I have every problem that you can imagine. I have no internet service no matter what plan I get on. I have spent countless hours on the telephone with technicians. Still no resolution and no data service so after spending quite a sum of money on this phone and now two months later I must purchase a new phone. My phone volume is so low I must either place it on speaker to talk or add headphones if I want to have any privacy with my incoming call. I wish that something could be done because the phone was exactly my choice. Now to be faced with the idea that just because it looks good doesn't mean it will work good.

I purchased the Blu Studio 7.011 about two months ago. The Blu is the correct size that I want but it came with unwanted problems just as most man-made products. With that being said would someone please help with my issues which is: 1.It won't allow me to install nor download, constantly saying"insuffiencient storage" 2.The Volume is low reguardless if you adjust it yourself , I would have to put it on speakerphone ,use a headset or hold the big device close to my face.3. The Blu constantly flash in and out causing dropped calls ,incomplete text messages and log ins. If there is anyone that has or is experiencing these issues would you please help me out here. Thanks

Whoa! First, I've read so many posts while trying to see if users have experienced the same results as I since November, 2015. Answer is yes. Second, if you elect to post something, either learn English or use a spell-check. Third, after using this phone for thousands of hours in the last 9 months all over the world as a lawyer, here is what is wrong with it: 1. Keep in mind that Blue makes phones primarily for low-income people in developing countries. This phone is no different. It is not a high-end phone. In short, if you are accustomed to $600.00 phones, you will not like Blu or any products it makes one bit; 2. At some point, the question is not "if" it will begin repetitive shut-downs, but "when" it will begin them. According to Blu, this is a design defect that all (long-term) users will experience; 3. Simply, the camera is the worst I have ever used in over the last 50 years -- phone or not. The screen is not much better, with its low resolution; 4. At least in November, 2016, shortly after the product was released, it was the sole entrant in the U.S. marketplace that offered 4G LTE service with U.S. carriers and a 7-inch screen with dual-SIM capability. I needed that. However, because I am so sick of the slow processor speed as well as shutdowns, and horrible photos, I am going to search the internet now for a replacement; 5. After the device reboots either upon my purposeful instruction or else involuntarily, the SIM card names disappear. Thus, if one is using two T-Mobile SIM cards and had them appropriately named to differentiate them, it will be impossible to know immediately after reboot what line is ringing -- both will say, "T-Mobile" instead of the assigned names. Accordingly, it is a frustrating process to retype/re-enter the nickname of the SIM after each reboot several times each day; 6. The aggravation of the inherent product flaws far outweighs the benefit of the big screen and dual SIM with 4G LTE service. I suggest the 6.44-inch Sony Z Ultra, although its specs have become outdated, and it is not dual SIM, but unfortunately, there are few qualified contenders over 6 inches; and 7. Someday, America will demand a premium dual-SIM phone with 7-inch screen and 4G LTE service. Until then, we have to live with the horribly-flawed Blu 7.0 LTE -- or use something silly like either Huawei's P8 Max or the MegaPro 7.0, both which have only 2G service in the U.S. Yet, compared to just ten years ago, the Blu 7.0 LTE is a masterpiece.

I bought a studio 6.0, and fall in love. After spending some time playing with the features and learning about this particular brand of phone, like any computer or tab, I got rid of all the access apps and programs that made the phone lag, particularly ones I had no intention of using. All the features they tout, I use, and then some. Can,vid, the works. If you take time to do this, this phone can be your best friend. Yes, sometimes things don't work the way you want them to, but more often then not, its just plain playing with that makes it work. Nothing strenuously technical, either. I've had over two dozen phones since 2003, and this one is by far my favorite. Next will be the 7.0, and I NEVER, EVER buy two phones from the same manufacturer. 'Nuff said.

Always remember to fully charge any rechargeable battery powered device before you use it. This dictates the "cycle" of the battery and may lead to bad battery performance if not done. regarding the camera, oddly enough there may be a "scratch protector" film over the lens which some companies use for shipping. Check to make sure that the film is removed.

Check to make sure the battery contacts are clear of any corrosion or any other material ( sometimes a small piece of lint can be disastrous ). If all is clear, then it would point either to a faulty battery, charger or switch within the phone. The first 2 are inexpensive to fix. The last would mean a refund or replacement from BLU or the place you purchased it from.

I have a blue studio, I like it overall, but the main problem that I been having is that this phone frequently shut off by itself, and it take long time, some times to turn again. I thought you could adjust the settings for the camera but can't... Its so dark you can't even see and I'm taking them inside but have light worst camera ever... Cheap dollar store phones take better pictures and I experienced the powering off by itself and the battery didn't need charging.. I have the Sony Xperia Z Ultra which is an inch bigger than the Galaxy Mega. I had the Mega first and loved it, but you drop it once and it's a wrap! I am experiencing the same issues with my Sony that many are having with the Blu 7.0. My Led light blinks and I run out of charge super quickly. I tried to find a replacement screen but I could not so I had to purchase another phone. The new phone (different version) has a dual sim card and mine does not fit it. I finally found a place that sold screens. So I purchased a replacement screen. Now I am trying to replace the screen and it is not that easy. I always thought of BLU as an up and coming company, so much so that I was really excited when I was informed that the BLU studio 7.0 phone was released, so what did I do, like any other techy that would love to support them, I took my hard earned money, which by the way I worked very hard for, and threw it away on a brand new BLU studio 7.0, two and a half months later home panel bottons sometimes work in portrait mode and sometimes the screen has invisible fingers all over it, to put it simply, the phone either comes with more bugs than a bed full of bedbugs, or it comes with an imbeded Trojan or two; BLU I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN YOU: I am already aware that the BLU studio 7.0 HD, and the BLU studio 7.0 HD ||, are out, and I'm not even sure that I'm willing to spend my hard earned money on your products, I expect that to sell a device like this for so little, sacrifices must be made, but, this is utterly ridiculous, I might decide to spend money on your products in the future, but in the mean time you should do the right thing and recall the BLU studio 7.0 or, create the necessary patches in an attempt to fix the unit and furthermore, if you have any company contacts, you should start sending them with your devices because it's difficult for the average person to get in touch with your company, until then, see ya! wouldn wanna be ya!

Just got mine too and put a T-Mobile sim card in it and the only way to make it work I discovered is to remove the back and press and hold the sim card slot, its like its loose or something. This let me know it was the phone not the sim

I have had this phone for about 6 months, and I really do like it. I love the huge screen, it's very easy to view shows, videos, books, etc. The cons on this phone is that it is VERY easy to drop.. I have had to replace the screen twice now, and it doesn't work as well. Other than that, I like how the phone runs! 4/5 stars.

This is a crappy phone. The phone wasn't charging at all and I have purchased a new battery for it. I replaced the battery and it still isn't working properly. It is not charging and when turned on it only shows the white starter screen. I wouldn't recommend this phone to anyone. Hate I wasted my money on it.

You are absolutely right on every point - the battery and the pictures. I upgraded from a Samsung Mega, and the Mega took beautiful pictures and videos. This one, not so much. The battery overheats and shuts the phone down, and it's a minimum of 24 hours before it will even take a charge.

I had the same problem the back does pop off but not all the way at the top its a small screw u can loose that can help u get your chip. Be careful because u don't want to damage the sim card slot.

I got my first Blu Studio 7.0 in April, I am having the same issue. I returned for a replacement and I am still having the same problem. I was told that they haven't had anyone to complain about that issue. Upon reading several comments, I've notice quite a few people are experiencing the same problem.I just think that I should have to stick a pin in that reset hole everytime it shuts dowm. I don't like spending my money to be told something different.

2 week from new phone.Total black screen,no turn on.Found internet advice which worked well.First remove sim.Then..Press ON switch,VOLUME switch together. on screen,then replace SIM.Press TURNON as usual.Everything back to normal.Best phone owned!!!

I don't agree with Blu on this but I guess they figured that if anyone sees the whole than they would automatically assume it was a reset whole. It is always the rule of thumb to sale and advertise as if you are selling to a market of ignorance. Not that the whole market is but the small percent that are will be able to utilize maximum capabilities with ease.

I have had a blue phone for about a year now and never had a problem till now. I am with Metro PCS and maid the upgrade to 7.0 from the 5.5s on the account that I watch a lot of movies and like a bigger view. the problem is that it only allows me to access 2G networks. The network mode is on 2G/4G auto but it is only picking up 2G service. Because of this I am unable to use Netflix on this phone and my network is slower than a snail so YouTube and other streaming videos are out of the question. How do I get my phone to detect at very minimum 3G but preferably 4G networks?

you know where the power and volume buttons are? between them there is a little whole right? That is a reset button. get a needle or straighten out a small paperclip or you can use any wire that fits into that whole as long as its not flimsy. apply a small amount of pressure and then try to turn your phone on again.

I have a serious, embarrassing issue. I'm a complete jack-idiot and when I went to put SIM card into slot, I did so automatically without realizing it was micro. The SIM card is stuck and I don't know how to get it out. I am not sure if the back casing comes off. I attempted but nothing would move. I just got this phone this afternoon. I don't want to break it. My question is....does the back come off or am I totally a newbie in phablet land and it's not supposed to open?? The BLU 70.0 works great for the last few weeks and does what it is suppose to do. I wonder if the reports against it is only by people that sell another kind and do not like the fact, this unit is great and is worth every dollar it cost.

Bought it for my wife who is old fashion and travels for work internationally. Excite to meet her in Memphis yesterday to give her the phone....Charged it while getting ready for dinner and once off the charger it dies I mean I've never seen anything like it...I was so embarrassed. I've had this phone replaced 3 times and I'm done. I shouldn't have to reset the phone thru the pin hole because it keeps turning off. Returning the phone tomorrow & will wait till Blue get their act together!

The writer said this unit had two slim cards when there is only ONE in the 7.0 unit. I had my unit now for a week and love it. Glad to find the pin hole to reset the this and hear it is working well. Would of been nice if the document showed that point and that it was a reset hole like some other data units I have had to reset. That may of helped others here from returning the BLU Studio 7.7.I happy with it.

My blu studio phone shut down about 12 times and I knew it was fully charged and when I held the power button down it still wouldn't come on unless I put the charger in and held power button for about 10 minutes. I took back they reset it and it did it again and I took back again they replaced with a new one at metro pcs now I got this one and the flash on the camera doesn't work. So now it's going back tomorrow I haven't had the blu studio a month this is a crappy phone and wouldn't recommend to nobody I did love because of screen size!

My wife gave it to me as a gift and is the worse celular I ever had. Just after one week it is in the shop and I am back to my old Sony Tipo small celular. The warranty service is horrible and the store that sales them in Panama just get your money and then you have to fight to get it fixed by the warranty shop. my phone did the same thing and I was about to send it back, but I notice the pin hole on the side and stuck a pin in it and it came back on, you see it is more of table type phone and after that it has been working fine. I am loving it and if you want music for people who call you, you must go to setting and add it in.

I bought the new 7.0 Wedensday, February 26. Iused it on Saturday, the screen goes out. So, I take the phone back the same day it went out Saturday, February 29. They gave me another new phone out the box again. I be dogonit later on that day it went out. What's the problem with the phone?!

Well i have a blu 5.0 mega 2 , before i had this i had a regular 5.0 i turned off on me and never turned back on. I had it for a couple months and i didn't drop nor damage it. I sent it back and replaced it with the 5.0 mega 2, ive been having this phone for almost a year not. its great, the only thing that sucks is the front camera. i hate it. Besides that its a great phone. Ive just ordered the 7.0 and its being shipped i hope it works as well as my 5.0.

I didn't know you were the one who wrote the definition and drew up the specs for a phablet...I agree with you that it feels more like a tablet than a phone, but that's just my opinion. With regards to the idea that megapixel measurement on cameras means nothing, that's simply not true and misleading. When you take pictures, the megapixel measurement is taken into consideration when you plan to display (or print) the picture. For instance, displaying a picture on a computer screen or online, 1-3 megapixel is fine. If you want to print a 4X6 picture, 2 megapixel is fine. However, if you want to print a 8X10 picture, you'll start of lose quality and start to see pixelation if less than 5 megapixel...if you want to print 11X14, best to have a minimum of 7 megapixel. To see a good example of the difference that megapixels make, on Windows PC, use the snipping tool and clip a 2X2 inch section of your screen, then paste that into a Word document at 2X2 inch size and it will print fine, but expand it to 6X6 inch and you really lose quality. That's the difference in number of pixels per inch. You will really notice the difference in the number of megapixels the picture was take with when you try to "blow up" a piece of the picture larger than it's original size.

So here is what I have experienced since I have a blue studio 7.0. I like the size but what I like don't matter. It has a short battery life. As long as I don't use it the phone battery will stay in the 90% range but as soon as I start using it..look out below. Next is it gets very hot if you watch videos for more than 30 minutes. This is the type of hot that gets you concern that the phone may burn itself. Last is the desire to reboot or shutdown. For some unknown reason this phone tries to shutdown even if it is resting on the table. There are a few issues with this phone and a recall may be in order. Just in case you are wondering the phone tries to shutdown when the battery is around 30% from being drained.

The mega pixels does not mean anything. All that does is give you a bigger wide angle if you get a 8mp. Thats all it does, doesn't mean anything about quality of the picture at all. It just means you fit more in your picture with a 8mp compared to a 5mp camera. Does not affect the quality what so ever.

Your wrong the Sony xperia ultra which is 1 inch bigger than the mega 6.3 screen but in the widness u is the Sony is taller but the mega is fatter I got a mega and might upgrade to the smaller mega 2

why are you talking about this as a phone/phablet? this is obviously a tablet! it is 7". it is too big for being a phone. the biggest phablt is the Galaxy MEGA 6.3 with a 6.3" display. and that is the limit, it is too big.
