• i want replace my screen.....let me know the details of store

 • This phone sucks. They tried to fit a lap top into it. Its too complex for its own good. the touch is unresponsive and it seems to lag a lot! You struggle to download anything and it doesn't read Micro SD. Just buy yourself a blockia. They can do more than this one. Im probably being unreasonable considering it was made in 2009 but it just does not compete for the phones made in 2013

 • My current phone. A true "All-in-one" device. This phone has got it all: GPS, 3g video calling, BT, brilliant screen, really portable and handy... you name it! As far as design, it is so beautiful, functional and updated that - I agree - current sony xperia models copy this format shamelessly! =) My best phone ever! Highly recommended.

 • hi man do you know if I can download whatsapp application on it and how?thank you

 • This is a true handy. A role model for current mobile phones: handy, missing nothing and fashionably elegant. This is the model many phones are still trying to copy.

 • This is a great phone...love it...

 • Yes. Android can be ported to the Diamond 2. Here are some useful links: The XDA Portal for all information: Videos showing an HTC Diamond 2 running on Android!

 • did someone tried to install SurvCE GPS on Touch Diamond 2?

 • owsum n owsum pocketpc,but can any1 tell we abt the wifi key finder softwre ??????;

 • What can I say? Beautiful, stylish, sleek, fast & Reliable! It's so beautiful, sony has created the xperia s based on the Diamond 2. Don't you just love it?

 • I like touch diamond2. sound clarity super

 • Start > Definitions > Connections > Wi-Fi - unchek "onnet Wi-Fi". or Definitions (grenn jagged wheel on bottom) > Wireless Controls > (on omm Manager) WLAN (swith it to "Off"). You might even find it useful to add a "Comm Manager" Icon to your quick connect icons. It will make it easier and quicker to turn Wi-Fi on and off whenever you need it.

 • my phone continuosly logs on to th internet. How can i stop that?

 • Agrred. My best phone ever.

 • My best phone ever. Full of games and apps, fast and reliable. I to recommend it! At current prices, you can't go wrong and avoid "upgradable" phones which end up not being upgraded as it happens with (too) many) phone brands.

 • Take off the battery cover Look beneath the tip of the stylus (left side if you're looking at the battery without the phone cover) The slot (for mini sd cards up to 32 gb) is right there. You'll just need to insert the memory card intil you heasr/feel a click. Done. This means you get "hot-swapping" with a Diamond 2: You can exchange/remove/insert your card (or different memory cards) WITHOUT having to turn off/on your phone. Just insert it/remove it (pressing slightly to release it from its slot) and you're ready to go! BTW: You should have/download a user guide/manual for your phone. The Diamond 2 IS a GREAT Phone and it is full of potential! Good Luck with it!

 • Where exactly is the memory card slot?? I just got one yesterday and can't seem to find it.

 • Very pleased with mine. Still working 100% every single day. Not planning on spending money on a nw one. A top-notch phone!

 • The only way is to change its ROM. I believe you'll need a WWE (World Wide English) ROM. Try to google for it and that a look at: forum.xda-developers is also a GREAT source for help.

 • my fone is operating on dutch language not in english.... is there any solution of it???? plz

 • A Timeless classic. Its shape and form still being copied today (just look at the new xperia phones). Stll working flawlessly. Very pleased with my purchase!

 • Have you installed any new programme that may be the cause of that freezing? Is the battery ok? Has your phone fallen or has it suffered any shock? Try using it without the memory card... If you want to go through a trial and error process, you'll have to check everything step by step... ... and if everything fails, then, you'll just have to take it to be repaired... good luck

 • I like the phone but lately it has started to freeze the screen I need help pliz.I reseted it so many times help.

 • This a truly remarkable phone: If the battery starts giving you troubles after all these years, just get a new one and you're ready for many years to come. The Diamond 2 really delivers as any modern phone at a much lower (reasonable?) price.

 • how does a person go abt downloading whatsapp with this phone...

 • > Have you tried changing battery, i.e. getting a new one? I have gone through he same thing and getting a new battery did fix the problem. I also like the phone... a lot and I am sure the battery will eventually be the weakest link of any phone. Nowadays, the battery lasts for two days of daily regular and video calls, messaging (a lot!)some wifi and a few minutes playing games. I notice the difference although I am convinced the phone's original battery was the same when new. Good Luck!

 • its agreat mobile but actualy the only disadvantage on it that the battery finish too fast forexamble icant listen to music more than 1 hour but over all the phone is really great

 • its agreat mobile but actualy the only disadvantage on it that the battery finish too fast forexamble icant listen to music more than 1 hour but over all the phone is really great

 • its a nice phone, but am having a problem in downloading whatsapp i cant download it, is there anyone know how to download it.

 • After all this time (considering today's phones lifelines) this phone still performs beautifully. It does everytrhging it is supposed to and we even get 3g video calls which is something only android's top models can do. The phone's battery is starting to "announce" its age, but which battery won't after all this time of daily use? Overall, very pleased with my Diamond, 2! =)

 • This is a GREAT phone. Still have it smart, way ahead of its time... cant feel like changing it...

 • yes the battry not god befor 3 days finish the companie have to talk companie nokia where ve get it battry you bay thinks

 • The Diamond 2 IS SD 2.0 compliant. In sites such as this: 32GB cards are sold as compatible with the Diamond 2. BUT... All things considered, at the end of the day, I would still advise you to contact/email HTC support and check their answer.

 • I can confirm that the 16GB card works fine, but I am not sure about 32GB. As far as I've read on the Web, it is said the Diamond 2 only supports up to 16GB, because at the time of its launch there were only 16GB cards avaliable. That's all. It is supposed to support SDHC cards, which would mean it will support 32GB cards, just as it does 16, 8 or 4GB SDHC cards. Any device that is SD 2.0 Compliant will work with up to 32GB whereas SD1.x devices will work with cards

 • Does it support 32GB card?

 • Still working great. This phone has been operating daily, without a single problem... Actually, I do feel the battery doesn't last as long as it used to, so I must confess getting a new battery is on my shopping list. Not to worry, though. There are plenty of batteries for this phone on sale, so it'll just be a question of choosiñg the cheapest one.

 • i'm very pleased with this phone. a great surprise. it's a handy that is fun, complete and reliable. i just don't miss anything.

 • This is a true handy. A role model for mobile phones: handy, missing nothing and fashionably elegant. This is the model many phones are still trying to copy.

 • High on the fun factor. This is a great phone. No lags, no limits, no problems. Fair price. Great screen. Great specs. What else can you ask for?

 • One of the finest phones money can buy. Excellent price-quality ratio. This is the phone to have. Perfect size, handy and slim, quality voice and video calls, excellent build quality, brilliant hd screen - 480 x 800 pixels - (~292 ppi pixel density), GPS, lots of games and apps available. It's got everything you may ask for. Extremely pleased with this phone.

 • Great phone. Multi functional, sleek, light, elegant and cheap. It's worth every penny!

 • warning: the trolls are back.

 • My current phone. A father figure to new Sony models. Design, Location of camera, lit button bar at the bottom... you name it! This is a classic design.. and you know what? Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery! =)

 • what??? seriously? you guys think Sony copied this design?? is it just because of that buttons at the bottom of it?? really far.. this one looks awesome but yeah, i cant see where did Sony copy the design.. still, to be compared to the Sony Xperia S? its worth a praise.

 • Sleek, Stylish and Complete. A Timeless Classic!

 • Still an updated phone. Misses nothing, but a led flah for its camera. Still has video calling which many newer mobile phones shamefully lack. Still available in many markets and at a reasonable price. Still highly recommended!

 • WhatsApp Messenger is a smartphone messenger available for Windows Phone, Android, BlackBerry, iPhone, and Nokia phones. Unless you've flashed your Diamond2, yours is a "Windows Mobile Phone", not a "Windows Phone". I don't think WhatsApp is available for Windows Mobile.

 • Im having problem to download Whats app!! Pls how can i download Whats app application on it? And how will i be able to use the whats app after download?

 • My best phone so far: Affordable, handy, fast and last, but by no means the least, a phone that still allows me do do and enjoy every single thing other (more modern and more expensive) phones also provide. Note: And a phone that still manages simple,"out-of-the-box", universal video calls. Can Mango, IOS and Android users say the same?

 • What can I say? Beautiful, stylish, sleek and fast. It's so beautiful, sony has created the xperia s based on the Diamond 2. Don't you just love it?

 • Still working without any problem! If you thought you had an outdated phone... think again! Sony's Xperia S are copies of the Diamopnd 2 style and format. Look at them closely and see how HTC's model has been imitated by Sony. That only meansd the Diamond2 is worth copying! Anyway, apart from a battery that could be better (a very common problem with current phones) I have no complaints about mine. Save yourself some money and keep your Diamond2. If it's still fully functional, why changing for a copied (modern) version? Is the extra speed really worth the money? I'm not selling or exchangingmine and I'm happy to see I am missing nothing! Highly recommended!!!

 • This phone still delivers everything you may need. It's fully capable of competing with much more expensive phones. Highly recomended.

 • This phone has got to be just... PERFECT! =)

 • This phone is just perrrrrrrrrrrrfect for me! It misses... nothing. This is the way to get value for money!!!

 • My best phone ever! Highly recommended! =)

 • I second that! =) My best phone ever. Performing brilliantly every single day! Really pleased witth mine. Won't changet it as even its price is right!

 • This phone keeps providing everything I need. That's why it is still a brilliant phone. Design is superb and the xperia s proves that beyond any doubt. As the saying goes, "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery". The Diamond 2 is still a role-model as far as form and design are concerned, whilst being a fully contemporary and functional phone that allows you to enjoy the commodities of any current model... at a reasonable price.

 • No probs here. >Kepps working just fine. Only the battery shows the signs of its age. Highly recommended.

 • Sleek, elegant, resourceful and responsive. That's how I describe my Diamond 2! =) Best phone I've ever had... That's it.

 • Actually, this is probably the best phone on the market as far as price / ratio is concerned. Its price has gone down considerably and it is a handy phone, not too bulky, with a brilliant and vivid high resolution screen, full of great specs which will stand the test of time. It's still fast, it has no considerable lag (it's obviously not a dual-core) and it doesn't suffer from many of newest models "curses". no yellow tinting, or pink spot. No XXXL screen prone to cracks and scratches, whilst allowing unlimited video calls, both via Skype and Gmail and 3G! Obviously, This is not the world's best phone. Better phones are constantly coming out, so you have to make your decisions according to the moment when you're buying and the money you're willing to spend on a phone. But, for the price, this phone is really great. Indeed, it simply is a GREAT phone: The sound is loud and clear on all occasions, but I recognise it should have a 3.5mm audio jack and that is a serious fault, but other than that, it does everything you need, it allows you to take photos and videos, enjoy Wifi and Bluetooth connections, watch your movies, enjoy your songs and use GPS apps, all in a very handy "package". You won't miss a thing! I am aware the camera does does its job, but it doesn't have a flash. Phone "Flashes" are basically rubbish: too short, too narrow and underpowered to be any good. That is why most people end up showing them off as small flashlights. This phone will not allow you to do that. But, as I've mentioned, the screen is great and you STILL have lots of different types of software to load, even if you wish to have a "torch/flashlight" on your screen... As far as software and OS are concerned, it accepts 32GB cards, meaning you've got LOTS & LOTS of compatible applications, games and GPS Programmes you can use/install/download... Last, but by no means, the least, you've got... =HTC_Topaz ... where you can exchange experiences, opinions, learn A LOT and personalise your phone in a way you wouldn't imagine! :) That is why I own a Diamond2 and I'm really very happy with it!!!

 • I only know 3 people who've got a Diamond 2 and I'm actually the only one who's had a problem. My phone fell on the floor and the speaker went... mute. It was fixed under warraty in about one month, but without any problems being raised. They did delete all my progs, apps and games, so when I got it back I had to reinstall everything. Everyone I know enjoys this phone as it has a great price-quality ratio and it supports harsh treatments. We've exposed it to low and high temperatures and it keeps working just great. Actually, if we consider flagships such as the Iphone 4S and Samsung's Galaxy S2, we do NOT have overheating batteries, limited video calling, yellow tinting on screens (or even a fragile screen), nor do we have pink spots on our photos. That doesn't mean this is the best phone ever, it just means we feel we've spent our money wisely and we do NOT feel the need for a new phone just because HTC is selling one. As far as form-design, the fact that Sony's copying the Diamond 2 on its new Xperia S, makes us still feel "fashionable" and updated.

 • I'd like to add that my company have bought aprox. 200 pcs of this model and almost everybody have had more or less problems with thier phones. And far more than 100 of them has been sent to service due to diffrent kinds of problems (often more than one problem/phone). Actually, I get REALLY suprised when I see people that has good (or great) experiences with the Diamond 2. :o (good for U guys..!!) :D Our experience is that it's a relly crappy phone and that HTC dosen't take thier responsibility as a supplier and manufacturer. Sad but true.. :(

 • Actually, it\'s 32Gb, but as those cards are still way too expensive most people I know have settled for 16Gb. I have a 16Gb card inside my Diamond 2, lots of programmes and games installed and still plenty of space left (about 6Gb.

 • What is the maximum size of memory card supported?

 • I've had five (5..!!!) of these now through my company and every single one of them SUCK BIG TIME..!!! Lagging, hang-ups, EXTREAMLY slow, badly written firmware and so on.... ONLY upside is that it is quite small. :) DO-NOT-BUY..!!!

 • Lag? Can't that be some program you've installed? Have you tried to check Task Manager to see which applications are using the phone's CPU? I for one notice the battery doesn't last much anymore... From two days to a single working day... that sure is "old age"... :) Anyway, this is the phone I have and use and that works for me... every single day.

 • only 15 fps

 • this phone does indeed offer exactly what I need, nothing less, nothing more. at the beginning I was very satisfied, but after 1 year it started lagging really hard (I mean way too hard). still one of the best phones I ever had...

 • This phone is so good even sony's been copying it in latest models. Own one and won't change it!!!

 • This phone has all one may need. Consumerism feeds itself on keeping us permanently unsatisfied and greedy for more. * Remember, "(I can't get no) Satisfaction, by The Rolling Stones ?* The key is being free and having the choice and the means to afford a new phone if you feel like it. Everyone should have that. Me? I'm very pleased with my Diamond2 and - for the time being - I feel I actually do not need a new phone. I dig my D2... a lot! =)

 • I love this masterpiece. I use it daily and it has never failed on me. The Diamond 2 is a phone that stands the test of time and delivers everything you may need. I fully and strongly recommend it as it is the best phone I've ever owned.

 • Sure can! The Diamond 2 is capable of running Android. It just takes some time: Google for information and videos: Then get ready for some action: there are plenty of sites with the sftware and instructions to choose from. It's really only a question of choosing the process of upgrading and the Android version you prefer. The Diamond 2 is a great phone that still has a lot of potential and that can handle a new OS (such as Android) without any problems. Good Luck with your phone!

 • Hello.. Do you know this diamond2 can upgrade to android shoftware version?

 • Hello.. Do you know this diamond2 can upgrade to android shoftware version?

 • Whatever your Operating System, you must be really careful with every single app or game you install. Check EVERY definition and avoid every unsolicited / unwanted / pre-scheduled updating. More than that, get a free and small application called NoData which will block any unwanted connection request from your installed apps and games. Anyway, check Comm Manager on your phone: Only "TELEPHONE" must be on (green colour). Don't switch on WLAN, Bluetooth, Microsoft Direct-Push or Data Connection, all those cost MORE money. Whenever you get the chance, and only then, connect your phone (via USB) to a computer with Internet access and ONLY THEN update all your applications and games, if you feel you need it. For instance, if you've got weather forecast applications, it's always better to do update them manually whenever you have a free WiFi or wired Internet connection (from your home computer, for example) and then disconnect them immediately after updating whatever you want to. That's why setting the app for Manual Updating ONLY is useful and wise. That way, your phone will remain completely functional throughout your working day, your costs will be those you expect and even your battery life will last longer. NoData is a very useful programme that may 'save' you when you forget to block undesired connections. Here is its link: Just install it in your phone, run its .cab and there you have it, no more bad surprises! A word of advice, though: you must always read the permissions that any programme grants itself by default really carefully . Things are getting to a point when you're no longer master of your phone and it's the programmes you install that actually run your phone's connections, although, at the end of the day, you'll always be the one paying the bill!

 • My HTC Touch Diamond 2 incurred a huge bill last month , & my service provider tells me it could be auto updates but they are not sure . can any1 advise why this huge bill , & if it is really auto updates & how do i switch them off ? please help desperate

 • The Diamond 2 stands the test of time: it is practical, multi-functional, resourceful, portable and handy. What more can you wish for? Happy New Year, everybody, everywhere! Enjoy your phone.

 • Yes, the Diamond 2 is supports JAVA games and browsing (via J2ME). You can google for a WebViewer that supports JAVA and install it. Anyway, check if you have an updated (custom?) ROM, then you probably won't need to install any add-on and it is already there! =) Here's a GREAT site for starting any searches related to the GREAT Diamond2:

 • Does HTC Touch Diamond 2 can be enabled with JAVA enabled browser?

 • To change language in any WM phone, you'll need to change the ROM. There are plenty of tutorials on the Internet, try to google to find the method / ROM you prefer. Anyway, there are sites that may help you... A LOT: As you may see, it is possible to change ths phone's OS (from WM to Android, if you wish) and OS Language. That's one of the reasons of the Diamond's 2 worldwide success.

 • How can i change my phone language from Spanish to English?

 • Had this phone for just past 2years. Very happy with it for the two years, then then touch did'nt want to work anymore. Luckily i could have the whole front replaced , because it was under warenty. Since then? Endless problems. Freeze, slow with response to sms, mcuts out during calls ect.

 • best phone for value, can dualboot with android too, cool!

 • "Jack-of-all-trades" is a good definition! :) But don't forget this is the best value-for-money you can find at the present. Light, handy and capable of performing in every way you want it to. Don't you just love it?

 • Actually, this phone is a "Jack-Of-All-Trades"! It performs brilliantly: it allows you to enjoy video, music, games, WiFi, GPS and all current comodities whilst being affordable and very friendly-sized. It's what every HANDY should be!

 • When you start your camera, touch anywhere on the screen NOT taking a photo. You then get three icons at the bottom: (Left to Right): Gallery - to see all your photos and videos Camera - to select capture modes and definitions Jagged Wheel - Definitions Clicking on the wheel, you'll see "MENU" on the screen. Now, press "Advanced" (bottom right). You'll now see Advanced Menu 1/5. Click on the > symbol and on menu 2/5 you'll see there is the option "Storage". Problem solved: Just click until you get "Memory Card" and select it. From now on, you'll be saving all your videos and photos on your memory card as you'll be able to see on Windows Mobile Device Center's Explorer. Photos will be stored inside the "DCIM" Folder that will be created on your memory card.

 • how do i put all my pics on my storage card cause some if my pics are goin 2 my documents and i cant put them back with my pictures.hope im making sence?

 • This phone is a must! A True Classic. * Noticed how SE have made a "clone" of the Diamond 2 with their flagship phone the "Nozomi"??? * The design is basically a copy of the D2: the resemblances are... stunningly obvious! ;)

 • NO physical keyboard? No problem! Your Diamond2 has a potrait/lanscape keyboard on screen which you'll be able to type either with your fingers or with the included stylus, regarless on th phone's position. Here are some pics of the HTC keyboard: (at the bottom of the page ypu'll also see the keyboard on landscape position) Actually, if you read GSMARENA's review of this phone, you'll find out all about messaging and writing down on this great phone. Anyway,if you won't like the included keyboard, you may download several others which are available - for free - to download. Besides, if you are making a call and need to register/write down something, simply remove the stylus from its case and you'll get a memo/message window and keyboard where you'll be able to register your notes and/or thoughts. The screen lights up and the phone"wakes up" and gets ready for your writing every time you take off the stylus! It's really great!!! Nowadays, most phone manufacturers have chosen not to include a physical keyboard as it makes the phone bulgier, heavier and its always something prone to malfunctions. Anyway, see if you can adapt to a "virtual" on-screen keyboard before "taking that leap"! Good luck!

 • it is not coment it is question.my question is i have one htc tuoch diamond2 mobile but ther is a problem with screen.my mobile is only touch ther is no kibord.so how can i solve the problem.

 • My best phone yet: Handy, Brilliant,Powerful and Resourceful. I just love it!

 • I am "suspect" as I own a Diamond 2 and I am very happy with it. I would rather have a Diamond 2 as there are plenty more progs and apps available for it and I do like WM 6.5. Furthermore, XDA has got lots of tweaks and mods for this phone, making personalisation and updating easy and available to anyone who wishes to give it a try. All in all, I love my phone!!!

 • i av a bb storm 1 and i need wifi so i would recommend u buy the htc touch diamond 2 just for the wifi.

 • It's a personal choice really. You'll have to compare prices, screen resolution and applications available. The Diamond 2 is an older phone, that has proven to be reliable, cheap and has thousands of applications and games available. Actually, a BlackBerry OS is meant/targeted for a specific consumer type. A Windows Mobile phone will allow you movies, games, all types of MS Office programmes, GPS Navigators and a multitude of tools and resources which aren't available on a BlackBerry. Having said that, I wish you make the RIGHT decision... to YOU! It's your phone, so try them on and choose the one that suits you better.

 • Would anyone prefer Blackberry Storm9500 to this phone and why? Blackberry Storm9500 has got 3.5MM audio jack, 1GB internal memory, and MicroUSB. HTC TD2 lacks the above and uses MiniUSB. Help me to make decision btw the two phones pls.

 • Guys I really need to make a decision here btw this HTC Torch Diamond2 and Blackberry Storm9500. Which one would you go for and why? considering that blackberrystorm9500 has got 3.5MM audio jack, 1GB internal storage, MP4 player and MicroUSB that HTC TD2 does not have. What advantage does a larger internal storage have apart from space to store data and speed? Does it mean Blackberry Storm9500 is faster than HTC TD2? I would really appreciate if u respond to my enquiries. Thanks in advance for your time.

 • All things considered... This is The Best Phone I've ever owned.

 • Unlock Screen? Read the Instructions here on PAGE 7: Changing language on ANY phone is more difficult as you'll have to change your phone's ROM. (ROM is "built-in" computer memory containing data that normally can only be read, not written to. ROM contains the programming that allows your computer to be "booted up" or regenerated each time you turn it on. Unlike a computer's random access memory (RAM), the data in ROM is not lost when the computer power is turned off.) Try to google for the language you want. Here are some websites with several ROMs for the Diamond 2 and a VERY useful site: Good Luck with your phone!

 • how can i open the touch screen when its locked and how to change the language

 • Changing brightness or message tones? Start > Definitions > Sound and Screen There, you only have to select (touch) the line you're interested in to define brightneess/lighting; power saving definition; message tones, etc. On the Home screen, on the right to the date, you have the alarm icon. Touch it and you may define up to the different alarms, choose the weekdays the'll be on, etc. Try to watch some videos about the phone and don't forget there is a manual.

 • working with diamond 2 is a bit dificult ex : how can i change the brightness or mark the pictures or songs and there is some problem in alarm colock too.

 • Start > Definitions > Sound & Screen > Notifications Sound > New Message Now, you'll be seeing a on-off sideways scroll just on the right side of "New Message": You just have to press/touch (& hold for a second)the "New Message" line. That's it! You now se all the sounds you may choose from (+ than 20). You'll have have to listen and select the one you prefer! =) If you have an .mp3 file you like you can also send it to your phone: > Phone (directry)\Windows\Rings That way, your .mp3 file will also appear as an option among all other notification sounds. Word of advice: Don't choose a lenghty song, or your tone for new message will go on and on... almost... endlessly... I've done it once my mistake - and I had to delete it as it was rather unpractical for a message "warning" tone.

 • i have a dificulty in finding were i set a tone for messages.plz help

 • First of all, try to google and search for relevant info. I'm afraid the only way (there can be others, I ignore) is doing a HARD RESET that will restore the phone to factory default settings. Keep in mind you will loose all of the data contacts, pictures and any other extra contents/programmes you may have installed on your phone. If you can't find any other solution, here's how to perform a hard reset on your Diamnond 2: REMEMBER: ALL Personal Data will be lost! (your phone will end up the way it was when you first bought it) So, this should be your last option. Best of Luck!

 • if my phone is bloked due to incorrect password and tells me to use my google password what must i do?

 • My current phone. It really does everything... even video calls which many current models cannot. I have to charge it everyday, but doesn't that happen to most of today's phones? At current prices, it's really the best value for money you can find. Relly pleased with my Diamond2!

 • There are plenty of users' blogs, forums (video) reviews and other sources that will help you in getting to know your "Diamond": Here are some (very few) examples: > Touch Diamond2, Pure Themes and Apps: > Touch Diamond2, Pure General: > Diamond 2 Forum: And, last but not least : Congratulations! You've got yourself a GREAT Phone. Good Luck with it!

 • The time you'll take getting to know your Diamond2 will be worthwhile. If you're used to Windows OS, you won't find it difficult. Anyway, google for info and look for some videos (e.g. youtube)because there are PLENTY of infos on this phone and videos showing how to do... everything! =) This phone will allow you to play your favourite songs and set them as specific/individual ringtones, change wallpapers and personalise your phone. You are also able to make video calls, enjoy GPS programmes, games and endless applications: alarms, agendas, weather forecast... all at the tip of your fingers: the choice is yours! It'll be easier than you think. The Diamond2 is full of great features that you'll soon use with ease. Good Luck with it!

 • Hi Guys, A friend of mine got this phone for sale,R600-south African rands second hand, any body got an idea if its worth it?

 • I agree this phone is spectacular, however, it's much too complicated for technophobes, It's been a week and I've only just learnt how to read incoming text messages.

 • I couldn't agree more! This phone has got it all! =) Sleek, handy design and full of potential. 'Tis the best phone I've ever had. You'll just love it!

 • Great phone and it's value for money! you can't find these kind of phone nowadays.. stylish yet powerful tht do everything... C=

 • I've owned a TYTN: it endures everything and it still works... But I just love the Diamond 2: It's beautiful and handy, it's a great phone and I use it as a GPS guide, as an MP3 player as my personal agenda, I use it to surf the Web, to watch YouTube videos... you name it. I really like this phone, also because it isn't overpriced as most current models. I believe it is the best bargain you can currently get. I, for one, am definitely very pleased with mine!

 • Of course, you can! =) Simply install the .mp3 files you wish and then select it as ringtone. You may even edit them so you'll only have the part of the music you prefer as ringtone. You may also select different ringtones (music/songs/.mp3 files) and select them to specified contacts: that way, just by hearing the song (ringtone) you'll know who is calling! Good Luck with your phone!

 • can i use mp3 as ringing tone?

 • One of today's best phones. A classic by any standards: Full of specs, affordable and still... handy! My daily companion. ' Wouldn't change it! =)

 • thank you for ur advice, well it has some scratches and it is a little bit damage...well i bought another one htc HD MINI (second hand) and because i am not in my country i am in bulgaria i didnt test it for an out call just in call and it was working well...when i make a call today the screen went black the phone was working and i couldn t do anything just waiting the person who i called to answer the phone! if the call was rejected everything was ok, if no nothing happened, i couldn t cancel the dial number! just a black screen and waiting the person to answer! the device dont have any programs extra install, just the factory programms and its in really good condition! i also make factory restore pressing the 1234 and i still have problem!

 • No problems here. Best phone I've ever had. Very pleased with my Diamond2! =)

 • There must be something wrong with your phone. Does it happen after you had some new programme installed? Has it suffered some accidente? Has it fallen? If the touch screen doesn't work at all, you really must send it to repair. Good luck.

 • i have some problem with this phone i cant use the touch screen i can not press buttons to unlock my sim card! i dont know if an update will fix the problem..i cant use it at all!

 • It is perfectly possible to have a dual-boot or simply change your Diamond2 into an Android phone. There are plenty of infos and guides onthe Net showing you how to do it. It does take some work (and time), but this phone allows it all! =) You even have videos showing how to do it: Actually, this is why the Diamond2 is probably one of the most versatile, handy and not over-expensive phones you can get nowadays! Good Luck with it!

 • how to upgrade to android?

 • After 16 months still working fine. Fantastic phone, with all the features you need. I even use the camera for taking photos now my digital camera is broken. It works perfectly fine. Still don't need a newer phone, this TD2 has so much to offer. Two things, my battery is getting worse now, after 16 months. And there is no 3,5mm jack plug. Still recommendable.

 • Is there a virus in any of the programmes you've installed? Google may help you find windows mobile antivirus: Good Luck with your phone!

 • my diamond2 screen got virus...what should i do...?

 • battery dont hv good backup

 • This is where many good things started. Right here, with this truly Magnificent Phone: The Diamond II

 • This is where many good things starte. A GREAT Phone by any standards.

 • I think that your phone is broken!!!

 • The Diamond II is indeed a really great phone: it has a brilliant screen, great size, it's fast, really multifunctional and it is affordable. I only miss not having a 3.5 jack; that is a pity and the phone's greatest fault. Otherwise, it's fantastic: you can have and make everything with it: video call, Internet, YouTube, GPS, photos, videos, games... you name it. Definitely, one of the best phones around!

 • This phone works really well but will lag like crazy after a couple months. If you have the patience then go for it. I wanted to chuck this phone at the wall everyday. Other than speed (probably cause I put too much stuff on it), it works really well in the beginning first couple of months

 • heyy..im using htc touch diamond 2 with the oldd win 6.1..i want to upgrade it to 6.5 or android...please guide me how to do this :(

 • When I open contact list it gets hang up. Touch scren does'nt work poperly.I think some problem with memory. I wanted to make call on emergency, I could not make, then What is of use then? I suggest dont buy touch phones if you want to make orreceive calls while driving.

 • Isn't that "registered Calls"? That is, the calls you have made and/or received? Anyway, when you press the left button on your phone, on the bottom of the screen you get "Talk" in the middle, a (left) arrow - to "go back/return - and, on the left bottom corner, the camera + phone symbol that allows you to switch to video call (on/off). Hope it helps!

 • I have problem ( on my screen when i try to call someone i see )( arrow and eye with handset ) and i don't know whats mean ... plz i need know what this Thanks

 • Plz change the network mode as manual only. B'cos auto network will lost ur battery life due to high sensitive network selection.

 • You just have to choose... Google is your friend:

 • can you please tell me where i can find free applications and maps for my htc diamond 2??? please answer to [email protected]

 • A master of all trades. This phone really handles everything: games, programmes, videos and photos. It performs beautifully. Highly recommended. Very pleased with mine! =)

 • just use data controller to shutoff phone from connect using mobile network , you can also get 3G athenna toggle in comm manager by tweaking some registry . Pay a good visit to XDA and you should have better idea on how to get the most out of your phone. For non data intensive but long hour browsing, using 3G is better for battery as WiFi keep consume power the moment it's turn on. i can get around 3 hours of medium browsing + around 10th hours of standby in one full charge.

 • u can turn it off from microsoft my phone _menu_sync schedule__frequency_manual have anice time

 • I figured it out already!

 • It's what I said, when the battery will go down so fast, it's deffinately not normal. Unfortunately this phone only has a 1100 mah battery. I have to charge my phone about every 3/4 days when I use it on a regular base. I also notice my battery gets worse every week. And when I use wifi, I have to recharge my phone every day. 3G is a killer for the battery, does anyone know how to turn off 3G data all the time? At the moment, 3G automatically turns on when using some apps, or downloading the weather stats when wifi disconnects.

 • No. It is not normal. The Diamond 2 has a battery that will last - under normal circumstances - for a couple of days without problem. Check: a) If you have any connection you are not aware of that may be using battery (Internet/Wifi) b) If you have a faulty battery (if do, replace it under warranty) Whenever I do not use my phone except for receiving/making the occasional call, battery lasts for three days without any problem. Is the data connection that typically wears off ANY battery... Best luck with your Diamond.

 • Battery life? If you use your Diamond2 intensively, you'll have to (re)charge it at the end of every day, so it will last for the following one. Modern phones support so many functions and have such high resolution screens that you cannot expect... miracles!?! No phone today allows you to go through a whole working week without recharging it as it happened in the old (black & white) days when a phone was just... a phone! Anyway, Are you sure you haven't got a WiFi connection turning itself on every x minutes? Some programmes may "connect themselves" to the Internet, or to a Server (in order to update weather forecast, for example) every two hours (or less) and THAT will drain your battery if you aren't aware. First of all, I would suggest checking for (background) active programmes and making sure "nothing" is using the battery/connecting to a network without you wanting it to. Even GPS Programmes can sometimes connect to a server to check for updates automatically. That way, the battery will run down quickly for no apparent reason. "NODATA" (http://www.modaco.com/topic/246171-new-free-utility-nodata/) is a FREE utility that avoids your phone's programmes from connecting to the net "freely"... And - if that is the case - it's not only your battery life that is suffering the consequences, your phone bill will also "suffer" from those unwilling/hidden connections: Beware! Anyway, I really believe the D2 is a great all purpose phone, really handy, fast, with great speed and a bright high resolution screen that will last for years to come. Good Luck with it!

 • It's normal the battery will go down just a little bit when you are not using the phone at all, but only when the phone is still turned on (standby). If I charge my phone, and turn the device on, and don't use it for one day, the battery will go down. But just by only 1% maximum. If it goes down by lets say 10%, I don't think it is normal. One tip: if you buy a brand new phone, put the battery in and use the phone untill the battery is empty. Then charge the phone for about 12 hours, use it again till the battery is empty and charge it again untill its full. You get the max. capacity of the battery after a couple of times charging.

 • I've just bought this phone, recharged it several times but the battery power seems to go down even if I have not used it during the day...is this normal..someone help please

 • best set for me and my age group boys/girls..... but like some apps not supporting,.,.,.,

 • A Master of All Trades! =) One of the best phones ever and one that lives up to the concept "Mobile" Phone. Best value for money.

 • This is a CULT CLASSIC! A great phone that has become... affordabvle and still performs better than many current models!!! At the price, you get a handy, multi-functional phone AND video calls, which seems to have been forgotten by newer models, but it is a great PLUS! Stongly recommended!

 • Cult classic. This phone really had staying power. It still has more features than many of the phones which came out much later.

 • "I believe it is a great all purpose phone, really handy and fast, with great speed and a bright high resolution screen that will last for years to come. You'll just need a good memory card and you're ready to go! The Diamond2 is the best value for money you can find! As far as prices are concerned, the Diamond2 is still available worldwide both in physical and online shops." "this phone is for sale for less then 200 euro. And for that kind of money, you'll get all the functions that can be found on other and also newer devices, which will probably a lot more expensive." The Diamond 2 has become a Cult Classic! :)

 • I couldn't agree more. This phone has all the functions you may need, keeping a real hanfy size. Great screen, video call, gps, mobile office suite, videos and mp3, games and applications... you've got it all... at a real affordable price! (I do think most phones today are really overpriced/too expensive and base their price tag on the "novelty factor" rather than on their functions or real value.)

 • this is by far the worst phone i hav ever had,it hangs, very slow ,some time u even have to reboot the fone .iv had it for 3 months now nd i am already gatvol!

 • hi!!!!! i have this phone for 3 years and i am really happy with this phone and i am very sad with the market beacouse the market has not a lot programs like the android phones. i have received a email today from microsoft saying that they will stop the market on windows 6.5 phones.why will they stop the market this is not right.i want by an htc again i dont want to buy a new mobile

 • this phone is for sale for less then 200 euro. And for that kind of money, you'll get all the functions that can be found on other and also newer devices, which will probably a lot more expensive. I bought mine since it was released so I got it for quiet a long time. The first TD was the phone I had before I bought the TD2. I will probably stay with HTC.

 • I believe it is a great all purpose phone, really handy and fast, with great speed and a bright high resolution screen that will last for years to come. You'll just need a good memory card and you're ready to go! The Diamond2 is the best value for money you can find! As far as prices are concerned, the Diamond2 is still available worldwide both in physical and online shops. If you wish to buy one, I'd suggest "googling" for the info you need in your country's language. I'm sure "Google" will find you many shops/sites where you can buy one and find all the info you need!

 • Sorry for your bad luck... There are several sites that sell replecement/spare parts and even vides about its replacement.

 • Congratulations on your choice. In Europe, this is definitely one of the best phones you can get: Unbeatable price-quality ratio. A GREAT phone for its price! Of course, it will all depend on where you'll be buying it. Anyway, try to google for country specific info on prices.

 • Great mobile, all rounder phone. Just bought one: cheap and full of high-tec specs. Loving it! =)

 • Congratulations on your choice. In Europe, this is definitely one of the best phones you can get: Unbeatable price-quality ratio. A GREAT phone for its price! Of course, it will all depend on where you'll be buying it. Anyway, try to google for country specific info on prices.

 • how much this phone ?

 • i am very satisfied with this phone since 2yrs. But unfortunately my TD2 screen doesn't work and there is a ractangular oily like area under the screen.i read the blogs and used duct tape it works somewhile and again have a problem. The mobile shop told me that i have to replace my touch pad screen.I haven't found any screen in my place, Nepal. It has to be buy through abroad and please let me know if i can buy the original touch pad screen or not?if so from where i can buy.please help !!!

 • where i can find the languege setings?

 • I didn't get my phone linked with the computer via cable either, but I always just take out the memorycard and plug it in my computer. Easy as it is.

 • There's no denying this is - currently - one of the best, most complete phones available. Size - Spped - Price - Screen Quality - Touch Sensitivity - Speed = GREAT! This phone will allow you to have GPS, Videos, Games and all type of Applications you may need!!! Battery life? If you use your Diamond2 intensively, you'll have to (re)charge it at the end of every day, so it will last the following one. Modern phones support so many functions and have such high resolution screens that you cannot expect... miracles!?! Anyway, I really believe the D2 is a great all purpose phone, really handy, fast, with great speed and a bright high resolution screen that will last for years to come.

 • Well, it would be a great phone, if it would not lag while writting sms. I am not very happy with battery performance either.

 • First things first: Screen Quality - Touch Sensitivity - Speed = GREAT! Battery life? If you use your Diamond2 intensively, you'll have to (re)charge it at the end of every day, so it willsurely last the following day completely. Modern phones support so many functions and have such high resolutin screens that you cannot expect miracles. No phone today allows you to go through a whole working week without recharging it as it happened in the old (black & white) days when a phone was just... ... a phone! Internet Speed? All mobile phones are capable of b/g speeds. The Diamond2 is no exception. It is as fast as the Internet connection/router/HotSpot will allow it to be, no more, no less... If you have an N Router, be sure ANY phone will be... slower! One thing you mustn't forget: WiFi connections, for example DRAIN ANY battery. It's unavoidable! With the Diamond 2 you get much more than a phone: You get Office-compatible applications, weather forecast, specific and generic programmes and applications, ALL Window Mobile Games you wish, a very decent MP3 player and Video/DivX movies at the tip of your fingers. And ALL in a really handy/portable shape! =) Summarizing, I truly believe the D2 is a great all purpose phone, full of really clever functions, really handy, fast, with great speed and a bright high resolution screen that will last for (many) years to come.

 • Me, too. A Diamond 3 would be just perfect... provided they fit in a 3.5 jack!!! The Diamond 2 still performs beautifully. Handy, comfootable, a great screen fitted in a fast and responsive phone... mine is packed with games and programs, videos and music... of course, I've bought myself a 16GB card. Very happy with it!!! =)

 • If you "can't get the fone to link with my computer either via bluetooth or cable" there is DEFINITELY something wrong with your phone. You should have it repaired as that is obviously a faulty unit. The Diamond 2 may not be the world's greatest phone, but as time goes by, it has become cheap whilst still being a GREAT all-rounder. It works flawlessly and it performs as well as MANY much more expensive models. It is handy, light, a true multimedia MOBILE phone, and it delivers what it promises. That is why I like mine! In your case, as it happens with all machinery, there is something wrong with your phone. Check it out and have it fixed.

 • yes I agree with you, a 3,5mm jack would be a good thing for this phone. I hope the will come with an HTC TD3 or something, with a very similar and cool design!

 • The phone is not bad at all. What you describe are all symptoms of a faulty unit. There is definitely something wrong with your phone. Take it to your dealer/repair service and have it fixed. When you'll get it working properly, you'll soon find out... It's a wonderful phone!!!

 • This is a great phone, indeed. You must have a faulty model. It's NOT normal tpo have a phone that doesn't connect via BT or cable. Have it repaired.

 • This should be just myth. Considering Winmo 6.x have never become main stream mobile OS (or even close to), who would be bother to make a virus for it - its not profitable.

 • That's true. Many 3X8.4 phones on the chart, older phones, newer phones, HTC and other brands, but there seems to be something wrong in here. Isn't this chart made by popular vote?

 • HTC Diamond 2 by far the WORST fone i have owned, 2.5hrs talking to service staff and we cant get the fone to link with my computer either via bluetooth or cable.

 • Couldn't agree more! The Diamond 2 really stads the test of time. It's dimply theBest Phone for me! =)

 • Best phone ever owned. Reliable. Comfortable. Versatile. Cheap. I only wish it had a 3.5 audio jack. Anyway, wouldn't change it.

 • Why isn't this phone on the Top Chart whilst older models and phones with lower scores are kept there?

 • This is probably the best phone on the market as far as price / ratio is concerned. Its price has gone down considerably and it is a handy phone, not too bulky, with a brilliant, crisp and vivid high resolution screen, full of great specs which will stand the test of time. Obviously, this is not the world's best phone. Better phones are constantly coming out, so you have to make your decisions according to the moment when you're buying and the money you have/wish to spend. That is why this phone is great. I admit it should have a 3.5mm audio jack and that is a serious fault, but other than that, it does everything you need, it allows you to watch movies, enjoy your songs, take quite good occasional photos and use GPS, all in a very handy "package". As I've mentioned, the screen is great and you have loads & loads of software to load... So, as far as Software and OS are concerned, you've got LOTS & LOTS of compatible applications, games and GPS Programmes, and, the last, but by no means, the least, you've got... =HTC_Topaz ... where you can exchange experiences, opinions, learn A LOT and personalise your phone in a way you wouldn't imagine! :) That is why I own an HTC Diamond2 and I'm really very happy with it. A phone that stands the test of time!

 • Best price-quality ratio on the market. Handy, great build quality, reliable, great specs and affordable. I really like my Diamond2. For the price, it's a bargain. Works as agenda, phone, GPS, Office suite, mp3 player, video plaayer and plenty of games available. What more could you ask for? Strongly recommended. =) A great phone indeed!

 • Firstly, don't get me wrong, but I think you should consider editing your message as displaying your phone number on the Internet is somewhat risky. Secondly, you must be aware it depends what kind of mobile Internet you have. Skype may be blocked. Finally, you can always try to download it from your mobile via skype.com/m . Anyway, try to visit and find out more informaton about installing skype. Good Luck!

 • Here is The GSM Arena comparison: The Mozart is more recent, but it has lost a front camera, so you won't be able to make video calls. The OS tries to force you to use a "Martket" (like Apple does) where you have to pay MS for ANY software you use/download. As it will happen with any comparison/option you'll ever make, both phones have specific advantages and disadvantages.

 • Is touch diamond 2 better than mozart??

 • A few companies do Virus Checkers / Scanners for the WM platform. Kasperski, F-Secure and Bulldog. Personally I use the Kasperski one and never had a problem. Comes with a soft Firewall / Virus Checker / Security Fucntion to remotely locate and/or delete data should phone be stolen/lost

 • I've heart such rumors too, so that was the reason for asking. I use wifi on a daily base, but usually to check mail, or visiting very standard websites, like news pages and gsmarena.com, so if I am correct, there is not much to worry about.

 • I've heard rumours of Windows Mobile viruses andor Trojans, but that seems to be a bit of an urban myth... I don't know of anyone who has had its WM phone ever infected, but... ... It all depends on the kind of sites you visit and there is no such thing as zero-risk in life. As for myself, I have never installed any anti-virus programme on my phone and I use WiFi connections on a daily basis. I only run all kind of security/safety programmes (while on my PC) BEFORE installing any software into my phone. Speak with other users and try to make an informed decison. Good Luck with your phone: It is a GREAT phone!

 • doen anyone uses a mobile virus scanner or something like that? Ik use this phone a lot for surfing on the web through wifi, so is it recommendable to use such a programm on the device?

 • So far, no problems. Actually, they should be compatible. Try reading the manual and check operationality of your device with other compatible phones. Could you have a faulty unit? Good luck.

 • hi!!!!!!!!!! great phone i want to download penegrate from the market but it says not found does anywone no where to find it or with another name???????????????????pls help

 • Has anyone connected their phone to a blueant device? I am having trouble with the voice commands???? HELP

 • Ihave had this phone for 18 months now. It is absolutely brilliant.

 • I am using this phone for the last 9 months, is a very good phone ever i used, only the problem i felt that it has no separate head phone jacket, head phone jacket and charger socket are same.

 • A fine phone, no matter how you look at it. And it even has video call, something that many current phones seem to have "forgotten"... All in all, the Diamond2 is a great affordable phone that will stand the test of time quite gracefully! =)

 • This IS a Great Phone! It has 'zillions' off ROMs, Updates, Applications, Games and all kinds of software available: The HTC Diamond2 has lots of online users ready to suggest, help out and discuss whatever doubts you may experience.Simply google your question or visit (just as an example): The Diamond2 still allows you up-to-date games and applications, utilities and GPS Programmes: You name it! =) Just remember to keep your battery fully charged whenever you're charging/updating your phone! Sure, it's not perfect, but it IS a GREAT Phone by any standards!

 • this phone is realy shit I dont like it... sinchr with pc is inposible, bluetoof is too...

 • Thanks for your reply mate! So if I am correct, the update is packed in a file which need to be copied on the device itself. I am used to sony ericsson updates which are directly from the internet on the phone. This is a great phone I hope they will make such a devic e with the same kind of styling soon because the new HTC devices are not really my taste!

 • Updates are NOT directly downloaded into your phone. 1. Make sure you have Microsoft ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center installed on your PC. 2. Connect and synchronize your device with your PC via Microsoft ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center using a USB cable. 3. Copy the update, which is an .exe file, to your device. To install the update, tap the .exe file and follow the on-screen instructions. This means you must have your phone's battery charged and I'd advise you to keep your PC plugged in. It is important NEVER to disconnect your phone while it is being updated, but that is pretty easy to do. The process takes some minutes (depending on the update) and it is pretty straightforward. I've always upgraded my phone via HTC official site and I've never experienced any problems. Don't forget: Make sure you read the instructions carefully and everything will be fine! P.S. - I also enjoy voting for my Diamond2 AND I also wonder why it keeps being voted out of the Top Chart... but I'm not giving up! Good Luck with your phone!

 • This is a very good phone, with god specs and features!! Everytime this phone is in the top ranks it got voted away, weird!! I have this question, how is the online HTC update service? I might want to update my rom version, but I don't know if the service will work as it should work, I am quiet scared it will cancel the update halfway!! And not able to use my phone anymore, I really don't want that to happen!! So is the online update service (trough cable connection on the phone) reliable? Thnx

 • There are literally THOUSANDS of Programmes, Applications and Games available for Wm5 and Wm6.x. Except for Windows Phone 7 (the most recent OS) you can say ALL Windows Mobile (WM) software will be compatible with a Diamond 2 phone (or any other Wm5/6 phone, for that matter). For the time being, you won't miss out any good Programme or Game if you get a Diamond2! =) As far as Operative System (OS), video, music, applications or games, it is still a fully capable phone that will allow you to do... whatever you want it to!

 • hi actually i had a question and i want to know that all of the windows softwers can be install and work on the windows phone? sorry i dont have enough information about pda!!!

 • I got a 2GB card in the box

 • is a memorycard included?

 • I bought the TD2 with WM 6.5 already installed. The new TD2 devices all have 6.5 already installed, or otherwise you bough the old version. No problems with updating and issues with the new devices. For the price it's a very good phone. ut make sure there are no programs running on the background, that will incredibly decrease the battery standby time. And make sure the 3G connection is not turned on, only when neccesary. You can adjust backlightning as well, it helps for me though. Greetz

 • i don't recommend the HTC TD2 at all. i bought it 1 and a half years ago with WM 6.1, eventually i updated it to WM 6.5. it hangs continuously. once a day it hung such that i had to put off and on the battery in order to do a restart. every now and then the screen goes totally black and can only be get back by means of doing a missed call!! it is true that it stores a lot of SMS but if you have over 1000, it takes some 2 minutes to load them!!

 • Hi, I am currently looking to purchase a PDA. I am informed that the HTC diamond 2 is a good option. Its updated to Windows 6.5. So my question is this; I am a doctor and a lot of my colleagues have got this software installed on their phones whereby they can access any sort of medical information at the click of a button, even without any internet connection. The software is known as Up-To-Date. Anyone know if this software is compatible with HTC Diamond 2? If not, anyone else knows any other PDA where i could install such kind of a software??

 • It depends on the Flash version you're using... I'm not certain all flash animations work, but I haven't experienced any major problems. However, it is not exactly as in your PC! :( Try to download most updated/recent official Flash version and check whether videos/animations are "mobile compatible". Good Luck.

 • depends on where you from? A good secondhand TD2 with minor users scratches is wort about 120 euro at the moment I think. Maybe if you are looking for a secondhand with no damage and scratches it will probably costs about 180 euro maybe. Newprice is 270 or even a bit lower.

 • I installed the flash cab, but when I go to a website with flash movies online, I cannot open them?? What did go wrong? have I forgotten something extra to install because it just don't work.... Thanks for the help!!

 • how much is a reasonable price for a 2md hand working one?

 • I think the browsing speed trough wifi is very good I use the function often

 • Yes, it's got a light sensor. HTC has included an accelerometer for screen rotation detection and a light sensor for automatic backlight adjustment. As far as prices are concerned, the Diamond2 is still available worldwide both in physical and online shops. If you wish to buy one, I'd suggest "googling" for the info you need in your country's language. I'm sure "Google" will find you many shops/sites where you can buy one and find all the info you need!

 • What is the price of D2 if I have to buy it today? Can somebody answer... Samsung's S8500 Wave is very competitively priced and can be a very good option considering it comes with great processor, great video playback and a browser with Flash support.

 • Have any light sensor on touch diamond 2?

 • Screen Quality - Touch Sensitivity - Speed = GREAT! Battery life? If you use your Diamond2 intensively, you'll have to (re)charge it at the end of every day, so it will last the following one. Modern phones support so many functions and have such high resolutin screens that you cannot expect miracles. No phone today allows you to go through a whole working week without recharging it as it happened in the old (black & white) days when a phone was just... a phone! Internet Speed? All mobile phones are capable of b/g speeds. The Diamond2 is no exception. It is as fast as the Internet connection/router/HotSpot will allow it to be, no more, no less... If you have an N Router, be sure ANY phone will be... slower!?! Anyway, I honestly believe it is a great all purpose phone, really handy, fast, with great speed and a bright high resolution screen that will last for years to come.

 • Please tell me that how its internet speed?

 • Hi i want to buy touch diamond2. Can any one tell me about its battery and the touch quality.

 • does anybody has the same problem as i have, because my phone always hangs..can anyone tell me what to do and how to avoid it.. tnx..

 • You're Welcome! Only glad to be helpful. Good Luck with your search... and your phone! =)

 • Thanks for your reply!! If the price for such a batterycover is affordable I will get one and try it out, no better way to find out wether it will satisfy my expections yes or no. I hope so!

 • I also believe the Diamond2 is the best value for money you can find! Matt finish covers AND rubberized cases are available, but they are not original. I've heard of them, but I have never seen one "live". These are some sites where you can check them out: Hope you find something useful Good Luck with your phone!

 • Hello. I love this phone it rocks and for me the best solution of all. Good price, good quality, good display and a load of features. However, I got a quation maybe some of you will know the answer. I noticed somebody had a TD2 with some kind of rubber battery-cover rather than a sleek and shiny one. It had so much more grip. Is that HTC original?

 • Lousy phone, looks good though. The battery life does not last 2 days for regular usage, and only half a day if you surf and watch Internet TV. Battery heats up, just changed my 2nd battery, still same. Touch screen "dies" even if you have little moisture or caught in the rain. SMS is not responsive even using stylus, and using fingers is just not accurate. Still prefer my older Blackberry.

 • Dual Operating System on a Diamond2? Of course, it is possible! It can have two OS for you to choose from...If you know how! Here is the Proof: To me, it simply has everything I need: Great phone reception, it takes fine quality photos and videos for those moments when you forget your camera. It is capable of working as a GPS Navigator, playing games, watching videos and reading - or listening to - ebooks! All inside your pocket. A really handy (portable and light) phone. Lastly, but by no means, the least, you've got... =HTC_Topaz ... where you can exchange experiences, opinions, learn A LOT and personalise your phone in ways you wouldn't imagine! ...-android-2-0 If you wish to buy one, I'd suggest "googling" for the info you need in your country's language. I'm sure "Google" will find you many shops/sites where you can buy one and find all the info you need! Good Luck!

 • i want to buy this mobile..? tell me hows this mobile? how is the touch experience? is this os can upgradable to android...?

 • Gr8 phone, no matter how you look at it! If you google for physical and online shops, you will find it at great prices. Still available worldwide. It is probably the best phone you can get at current prices!

 • The Diamond2 is very beautiful and solidly built phonethat stands the test of time: Its UI works like a charm; speed is also perfect; camera and video quality are great; Google Maps and GPS work absolutely fine; Headphone sound quality for mp3 and FM radio is awesome; WiFi and Bluetooth also work great; Plenty of Games and Applications Available; dual boot available... ... only fault? no 3.5 mm audio jack No matter how you look at it, it is simply a great phone with (probably) the best price/quality ratio!

 • PRice in INDIA is rs-12,000

 • maby stupid, but someone now where to buy it in germany (or where low price)? can't find 1 good site that sells this :(

 • this is a very reasonably priced smarthphone. Just bought it 2 weeks ago.

 • Thanks 4 ur rply frnd.... i'm buying it for Rs 13000 from a frnd.... it is two month used. i havent used a htc phone ever but ihv heard taht its pefect for surfing... ..... i love gud music, gud resolution and internet inj a phone..... is it ok to buy or do you have any other phone to recommend for less than Rs 16000

 • I am very happy with this phone and do you know why? It is small, stylish, it has pretty much all the functions you get on a phone intoduced 4Q this year. And the price is good at the moment. So I am happy I got this phone, and it is easy too use as well. HTC sense works just fine!

 • It is impossible to honestly say whether you should go for it: It all depends on the price, the phone's condition AND, after all, it all comes down to your personal taste. Personally, I just miss the 3.5 mm audio jack. Otherwise, it's a perfect phone... according to my taste/opinion... To me, It simply has everything I need: Great phone reception, it takes fine quality photos and videos for those moments when you forget your camera. It is capable of working as a GPS Navigator, playing games, watching videos and reading - or listening to - ebooks! All inside my pocket. A really handy (portable and light) phone. Lastly, but by no means, the least, you've got... =HTC_Topaz ... where you can exchange experiences, opinions, learn A LOT and personalise your phone in ways you wouldn't imagine! But, don't forget: Whenever choosing any... THING, "TRY BEFORE YOU BUY"! I strongly believe in experiencing a(ny) phone before buying it. Try to see it working; if you like its OS; check its screen, the speed it delivers and even if it fits your hand. If you choose wisely what you like, whatever the phone you choose, you'll be pleased for a long time.

 • Hi Mate It looks like you are too good in phone knowledge.. i want a small help ... I am thinking of buying Htc Touch Diamond-2 From my friend ... I just want to know whether it is worth buying that handset or not... Thank You

 • Flash Player on a Diamod2? You'll have to choose the one you prefer: Try to google for many more options.

 • how can I install flash player or something to watch online (short) videos on websites? I don't mean via youtube app but on real websites using opera mobile. The videos just won't start.

 • Yes, the Diamond 2 allows videos call and the FRONT camera (which is the one that is usually selected to be showing you to the person you're talking to)also allows you to film and take photos. You can even switch cameras, if you wish to show something/someone (besides yourself)while you are making a video call. Dual Operating System on a Diamond2? Of course, it is possible! It can have two OS for you to choose from...If you know how! Here is the Proof: If you wish to buy one, I'd suggest "googling" for the info you need in your country's language. I'm sure "Google" will find you many shops/sites where you can buy one and find all the info you need! Good Luck!

 • i try to install Skype on this phone i cant with out Skype useless in this new generation. so don't by this look another HTC

 • This phone has been hang for many times! I'm sick of it!

 • The TD2 has also 'just' a 1100mah battery if I am right, and the most phone have a standard 1500mah or something, which will help to increase battery lifetime as well. I can use the phone for about 4/5 days if I use the phone regularly, in my case it is not hanging on the phone and talk for a long time. But I do use the wifi connection everyday to update the weather, sometimes I use 3G internet on the phone when I am on my way home to look up my mail. I am really pleased with the battery lifetime to. plus the fact that the display is good as well, sharp and bright, and for a resistive probably the best there is! 10 out of 0 definately!

 • I want to purchase this phone. Pls anyone tell me that that this phone has the facility of video calling and is this phone working on dual operating system window mobile or andriod, How pls tell me and suggest that can i purchase it

 • I first had a touch cruise for a long time and now I've got this phone as well. Very sleek design and a great product, very happy with this computer phone.

 • Please if anyone knows why this phone keepig the yellow light turned on, i charged it but it still lightening... i don't know why...

 • A GREAT Phone no matter how I look at it... Internet connection slow? Phones only support G speed connections and even so, a phone's connection will always depend on your ISP and router'S speed... that is not any phone's fault. Windows Mobile 6.5 is... just what it is, i.e., if you prefer Android or any other OS, then AVOID WM. It doesn't freeze on my phone and maybe there's something wrong with your phone or any conflicting prog or app that may be causing all that "freezing". Whenever choosing any... THING, "TRY BEFORE YOU BUY"! That way, you probably won't regret your purchases all that often. I know we all make mistakes, but I, for one, feel I haven't made any when I bought my Diamond 2. It has performed beyond my expectations and I still think it is probably the best Windows Mobie Phone money can buy at this time and definitely the best phone I've ever owned. I hope you'll find a phone that will live up to your expectations. SEASON'S GREETINGS, EVERYONE!

 • A dreadful phone. As a phone, it will try to dial out wrong numbers when you pick it up & touch the screen. You always need the stylus. As an mp3 player, the sound is very good but it keeps stopping between music tracks. The battery life is very poor - about 7 days even when not in use. When you come to use it again the battery is dead. Windows has to be reloaded often as the whole thing freezes. The internet is unbelievably slow. When it is connected to the computer with active sync, emails are downloaded whether you like it or not. GPS will only work if connected to the internet. Google maps lock up without a menu & have to restart the phone to enable them again. This is the worst electronic 'gadget' I have ever wasted my money on - don't buy one!

 • I also believe that - CURRENTLY - this is the best phone money can buy. We should vote to get it into the Top 15! =) As far as the batteries go, this one isn't brilliant, but to keep the doimensions of such a light phone, compromises always have to be made. A few years ago, you had B&W small screens, you could only have "poliphonic" ringtones and send and receive messages and make and recive phone calls. Back then, batteries lasted for... days! Nowadays, you get large colourful screens, high screen resolutions, you get to take pictures and make videos, use the phone as GPS device, brose web pahes, watch YouTube, movies... you name it... they're no longer mere... PHONES! That is why the Diamond 2 hasn't got such a bad battery: Take a look at the phone, experience it and you'll discover how much it can do!

 • an extended battery is available, but then the phone looks really ugly. However the battery standby time will increase. It is like the extended battery for the HTC HD2.

 • I got this phone and it is absolutely amazing! I beleive this phone should be in the top 15, because you get a lot of phone for the money.

 • Yes, definitely a top model thatdeserves being in the Top Chart as itis one of the best, most coomplete and most affordable phones on the market. It's really a great deal: It's light, small, grants all theconnections you'll ever need. At current prices I am most pleased with may purchase. As far as batteries go, don't be fooled. Most phones at full use (WiFi / Internet / Bluetooth / Programs and Apps running / taking occasional Photos and making or watching Videos) won't last for more than... a single day! I've just bought myself this phone and I'm loving it!

 • My favorite phone I ever owned! And I have had a lot of different phones from pretty much all the brands.

 • If you choose a compatible battery, you'll have to realise it will work, but it will necessarily be thicker, so you'll need a new back cover. The Diamond 2 is an extremely thin phone and an extra standard battery can be easily carried... anywhere! It's really that light and thin! I know there are alternative batteries and covers, but the ones I've seen advertised on the Internet always imply making your phone a bit... "fatter"!!! Anyway, you can google for prices and dimensions. I prefer bringing an extra battery along and keeping my phone's original dimensions and weight.

 • Someone please tell me whether 1100mAh battery be replaced with a 1700mAh battery? what r the pros & cons ? Thanks.

 • You're quite right, but.. ... you can also EDIT any contact and under "Detailed Information" you can define Image, EMail, RINGTONE, Job; Bithday and MANY other features (Facebook account included)you may choose/wish to associate to that particular contact card/person. Good Luck with your phone. Enjoy it!

 • you can do it by go to settings-> sounds and (...) and from there you can choose the second tab, and if I am right, every sound or mp3 can be select from there. I am not sure though, but that's the way I change ringtunes. Or Go to you filemap and select the file you like to have as a ringtune, and then press on it and hold it for 2 seconds or so, and select the option set for ringtune. If there are other ways please let me know too!

 • Hi Guys, Im new user for HTC Touch Diamond2 I have a few questions, hope someone can help me. 1. Can I changed the ringtone, or message tone to wav or mp3 tone? 2. If so, can someone guide me? Thanks

 • very good phone...except for the battery....it cant even last 24 hrs....

 • You're Welcome!

 • I am very glad I'd make the choice for this phone. No problems at all. The screen is amazingly good and the picture quality (camera) is pretty amazing as well. Unfortunately no flash, but good enough in daylight.

 • Thank you.

 • You know, it is always difficult to say which phone is better, after all, it all comes down to personal taste... Actually, the Diamond 2 suits me just fine. It doesn't lag or freeze, on the contrary, it is quite quick (as far as Windows Mobile phones are concerned) and it takes great quality photos (even with digital zoom)... for a phone. The screen is really vivid and brilliant and it's got a great resolution. It allows you to enjoy clips, browse YouTube and even watch whole movies without any problem (provided you buy a suitable-sized memory card, of course). To say the truth, I wouldn't change my phone, but NO phone can replace a dedicated photo camera with a proper zoom and flash, a good sensor and all the qualities phone cameras simply... don't have! Anyway, I strongly believe in experiencing a phone before buying it. Try to see it working, check its screen, the speed it delivers and even if it fits your hand. If you choose wisely what you like, whatever the phone may be, you'll be pleased for a long time.

 • Hello guys! I'm interested to buy this phone. Can you tell me...is it a fast phone, does it lag or freezes? How is the picture quality? Thanks

 • The Diamond 2 is a great phone, indeed. It's packed with all the features you'll need. It has come to a very reasonable price, although you may say all phones are overpriced, nowadays. It's available everywhere and it has just the right size. It fits perfectly in your hand and it has got a brilliant screen. I just miss the 3.5 mm audio jack. Otherwise, it is simply perfect. You'll just love it!

 • tjo guys dis phne is top guys u hve 2 try it nd expirience it nd fil de diamond standard dis phone rcks me

 • Installed Android 2.2 (Froyo) on my HTC TD2 works great but no camera support. Tested Angry Birds, a bit slow but playable...

 • There is Android available for this phone as well, check out tha XDA forum. Not sure what version but it exists and it works and best of all there's someone working on improoving it.

 • real value for money. One of the best you can buy at the moment.

 • That depends on the country you're living in OR the palce where you want to buy it from. Try to google for local/worldwide prices. It is available worldwide. These are some of the international sites you can buy a DIAMOND2 from: Good Luck!

 • I have seen a video that they have managed to install android 2.1 on an HTC HD2, but that phone has a 1ghz processor. This phone has 528Mhz processor, I am not sure it will work properly on the TD2. It would be nice though, this phone is so fantastic in design so it would be a great phone then.

 • It sure does! And it's got ALL the right functions... ... in the PERFECT shape and size! A DIAMOND for all occasions and all pockets 2! =)

 • this phone rocks

 • It is possible. Will this help? Anyway, try to google for further informations. Good luck.

 • anybody install VoIP software in this mobile (for internet telephone call)?

 • It won't be easy. as you've got a Windows Mobile Operating System. Anyway, you may try and have a look at: Good Luck!

 • Can i install android 2.1 on this phone?

 • I've updated mine a long time ago and initially I've felt somewhat disappointed. Not because of the battery or GPS programmes: they all kept running just the same way, but because I've felt wm6.5 is basically a visual update, no more, no less. Today, I still feel the same way: MS could/should have gone further! As far as the update itself is concerned: 1- I've had NO problems during update. Make sure your battery's loaded and DO NOT disconnect the phone at any point during update. Basically, I've followed the instructions and the whole process went smoothly and without any problems. As always, Reading ALL instructions carefully is always a wise decision! 2- All Programmes kept running just the way (& speed) they used to. 3- Although some people mention it, I don't think the phone's got any slower. The battery keeps lasting for about 2 days, no more. I keep using WiFi, I make lots of calls, but I only use GPS when connected to a power supply (usually, the car's). All in all, you get a "nicer/prettier" windows mobile. No inconvenients, no problems, not even a slower phone... What you DON'T get is any major software development: It allows you to spend your money easily on "windows Market", but copying Apple's original way to separate you from your hard-earned cash, isn't my idea of "update", but after all, that is all it seems to be: visual gimmicks to keep you feeling you have something "new", and also keeping you away from other Operating Systems. But, then again, that is just one (my) opinion. A word of advice: Before going through "all the trouble", try to see WM6.5 working on a TD2 and see if you like it!

 • I have a TD 2 with WM 6.1 should I upgrade to 6.5 is 6.5 much better or is it the same? It looks better, but is better?

 • You're Welcome! Most of us still have something to learn about our phones, so there's always some info we need or are able to provide. That's why this Forum is so GREAT! =)

 • Yes, it does. You can charge it via USB.

 • thanks for the info! I like forums like this because you can get help very quick

 • Does the phone support usb charging?

 • Besides physical shops, you can ale«ways try "Official" HTC Covers from: Expansys and similar sites also have them for sale. Good Luck!

 • Yes the price is very nice, unfortunately this phone is not everywhere available anymore. But I have one:D so I am already a happy user and owner. I can only recommend this phone to other people, If you like a phone with a reasonable price you have to buy this one.

 • does anyone know if it is easy to replace the cover? mine is full of scratches:(

 • Yep! Great multipurpose phone. Unbeatable price-quality relationship. 'Sure wouldn't change it!

 • very good phone

 • I think you are right, I use WM since it was available, so I am using it for many years, never had a problem. This phone is very cool, the design is the best!

 • Hi, I have had this phone for over a year , and it is absolutely brilliant. Problem is, with most people do not know how to use WM phones.

 • well, ive been using this phone for 9 months now,its not that bad as sm ppl said the phone has a nice screen and its the best comparing to other resistive ones ,however, resistive screens r disappearing lately the camera deserves 6/10 outdoors n 4/10 indoors ,n ive been using energyrom for 6 months now ,u should try it ,i also tried android 2.2 lately, that was a good experince the battery is a joke lasts for 15-30 hours my overall rating for it is 6,5/10

 • This is a great phone! It does (almost)everything you need and it does it efficiently! The lack of a 3.5 mm audio jack is the only fault I find in this phone. Grat phone reception, fine quality photos and videos for those moments you forget your camera. Capable of working as a GPS Navigator, playing games, watching videos and reading - or listening to - ebooks! All inside your pocket. A really handy phone. For the price... what more could you ask for? I strongly recommend this phone. Try it out, you'll undestand why!

 • Got this phone, and it's good. I got the latest version, WM 6.5.3 with the new HTC interface. Everything works perfect. I want a WM 7 phone now, so this phone goes to my wife. She loves it as well.

 • Garbage windows phone, had it for almost a year before it crapped out on me. OS lags wayy too much, doesn't update when it's suppose to, cheap material, cracks easily. HTC usually makes good phones, so I was not expecting this. Bottom line: Looks good, performs poorly. Save your money for something else.

 • I like HTC sense interface

 • Thanks, I got a 4GB card now, but I would like to have more music (complete cd's) on my phone, so I hope 16GB is good enough, and you're right, 32GB is wat too expensive, I found prices near and around 100 euro!!! Don't really want to spend it for memory...

 • Yes, you can! When you enter "video camera", instead of starting filming right away, click on the right bottom "arrow" icon. Then, click on the right icon which appears on the horizontal "bar"(jagged wheel) and you'll see the "options menu". Click on "Cameras" and it will automatically switch cameras. You'll see it immediately as the image on screen changes accordingly. You'll just have to close that menu (right bottom "arrow" icon) and you'll be filming with the camera of your choice! =) BTW: The same applies to photos. You have the choice of which camera to use!

 • hello my name is singy and i am owner of this phone and i have question about this phone. can i make videos with second camera as well?

 • I've heard both answers, but I don't actually know anyone with a 32GB card on a phone as they're way too expensive! Maybe you should try a 32GB in a shop to check whether it will be recognised by your Diamond2. That would be the safest way. However, I can assure it accepts 16GB cards without any problem! That is precisely the card I've got inside my Diamond2 and it has been immediately recognised. Although with plenty of videos, programmes and some games, apart from the occasional photos, mine is still about half full... yet! No problems whatsoever! =) It has been a GREAT phone to me. Not a problem, so far. Good Luck with your phone!

 • is it possible to install a 32GB card in it? or is 16gb max?

 • I love this phone. I have it for 1,5 year now, no problem at all! This phone has a lot of features, very good specs, everything works perfect and the HTC sense is very nice. This phone is from early 2009, so yes the NEW samsung galaxy s is better, no doubt, and yes new high-end devices have more specs, but this phone is almost 2 years available. The other phones mentioned below, are brand new. I have a question, how can I select more than 1 item to copy or cut?? anyone knows that?

 • I had this phone for over 3 monthes and i let it go but i am not sorry for that cause all the features of this phone are overpowered by all other phones in the same categorey , it is not durabile and the battery really sucks and if you replace it with a better one "which still sucks" it will increase the thickness the touch screen is o.k but it is overpowered by samsung and sony the sound isn't good being a windows mobile may be the only advantage besides its acceloremeter the camera isn't good enough i have to admit that its wifi and bluetooth are flawless

 • hi i have experienced lots of HTC and SAMSUNG mobile phones.. And one thing that i like about both of the brands is they have GOOD SCREEN RESOLUTION. However HTC has a problem that SAMSUNG doesnt... HTC is not durable as SAMSUNG... HTC is a very fragile phone... I dont know what the Tawainese company is thinking but i got to say that Korean Technology is soon going to dominate the world in techonology... Overall... I recommend that all of you should get the SAMSUNG GALAXY S rather than any HTC mobile phones.

 • how can i send pics mail???

 • HTC made a very sleek designed phone and the brand itself is growing, hopefully the new WM 7 devices will be as good as this one. I simply love this phone........ it is very nice. And the price is not to high which is good as well.

 • Hi Everybody, I used this phone for about 6 months with HTC upgrade to WM6.5 and I generally like it - quite reliable, blutooth works flawlessly, feels small enough to carry in a pocket, as an internet modem works reasonably well on 3G network. The sound is reasonably good, the still camera is just FANTASTIC for a phone, just don't forget to clean the lens :) A couple of little annoyances. 1. It feels very underpowered, especially while running Opera browser (I compare with Blackberry Bold 9000 Opera via non-blackberry 3G channel), sometimes it is sluggish when running 2 or 3 apps, though there is a plenty of memory. The battery capacity seems small, especially with blutooth on. The keyboard is way too small to use without a stylus. Not enough buttons for my liking. And the most annoying thing - THERE IS NO 3.5mm AUDIO JACK. What is HTC thinking? Noone uses mini usb headphones.

 • yup...i experienced this before too....and i used the same solution as u.

 • That-s risky to your phone and to the maanufacter-s warranty. Be careful.

 • You'll need to change the ROM. It's always a risky and complicated process, whatever the phone. Just an example: You'll have to backup ALL your data first. Read about it (try to google for the info you search)and Inform yorself about the whole process before you try to do it. Here are some sites where you can learn about it: Good Luck!

 • how can u change the language

 • My battery Hp just last 6hr! what the funny..HTC hp not really smart anyway

 • Read the manual, that's what it is for isn't it?

 • this is a very nice phone. The resistive touchscreen is very finger sensitive. I have this phone for 6 months now. Don't wanna mis it!

 • it is underneath the battery cover on the left bottum, a little red dot, you can press is by using the stylus.

 • hi sir/madam, i have using htc diamond2. but some time my phone is reset asking. which place is soft-reset butten .pls reply me

 • I also like this phone. I'll probably own better models but, for the time being, this is by far the best phone I've ever had. As far as lag problems with online videos (& YouTube) that does not depend on so much on the battery, but on your WiFi connection speed. I sometimes connect my phone to my computer via AvtiveSync (to update some programmes, like Quick GPS, for instance)and only then do I get really fast download speeds! As far as my experience goes, Wifi connections are sssssssllllloooowww and then to "fall down" when you least expect it, so I try to avoid "heavy" downloads, such as downloading and playing videos and, instead, I save them on the microSD card and I get to watch whole .avi movies without any slowdowns. Of course, that REALLY drains your battery... That is why I'v got used to (re)charging my Diamond2 every night. * My battery only lasts (without recharging it) for the weekend, because only during the weekend I get to use my phone ONLY to make phone calls... Good Luck with your phone!

 • thanks I like the phone to but sometimes I like to have a longer standbytime in order to use all the functions like watching online video and listen to music (a lot) but it will probably depends on the size of that extended battery. If it's too big or too heavy, I will stay with the original battery.

 • Yes, there is, but it needs a new (deeper) back cover. Actually, a battery with larger capacity will necessarily be "fatter" (thicker). With the Touch Diamond2 you get a great multi-purpose phone, which gets so many functions that its battery quickly runs down... BUT... You also get a very sleek phone which is particularly classy, portable and... handy! =) And although I charge its battery on a daily basis... I really like this phone!

 • is there a battery with extended capacity for sale? for this device? Like the extended battery for de HTC HD2

 • this is a very nice phone. sleek design

 • i have a nokia n97 mini for about 3 months now , my complain about restricted applications and dictionaries especially i need a medical dic. this version does not support most of them , previosly i used oxford medical dictionary but on this phone i cant, and the pdf reader is trial!!!! is the money you pay for the phone is not enough to give u a full version!!! im thinking to sell it and buy an htc touch what u thing guys?

 • Lucifer I think we are entitled for a recall of this phone mine i just have my ear piece and speaker repaired but after repaired now the ear piece and speaker is not working again. HTC is only good in Physical Look but hardware wise is rubbish cmon HTC give us back our money.and stop manufacturing celphones if its not in good quality

 • I am really disappointed about HTC with this phone. Have had it for 6 months now and never had a day without problems. I guess the most important thing a phone should do is to make phone calls! From the half day discharges to the poor earphone speaker quality, this phone makes one of the worst in the market for reliable phone calls. Now, the earphone is all off, the LCD is dead on its own, and the phone is in the repair shop! Thank you HTC for your Chinese-made toys (quietly brilliant)!

 • Super lag when update the new firmware and the battery is suck... super power consuming. New firmware upgraded , when playback video using coreplayer also LAG ~.~" Why HTC want release this kind of firmware haven test before or even the phone cannot fully supported with it also allow the user to download it

 • In some countries the Diamond2 is sold with CoPilot, but I belive you must check your local/preferred maps and only THEN choose a GPS Software. If you live in a country where TomTom Maps are accurate and complete, then it will be the best choice for you. On the other hand... If a friend of yours lives in/travels to a country/state where NDrive maps are the most exact and detailed, then his option should be for NDrive. See what I mean? Find out about GPS Programmes, about NavTeq and TeleAtlas Maps for the country/zone/region where you live/ where you plan to travel and only THEN make up your mind! Route66, IGo, TomTom, all GPS Software will work perfectly on your HTC Diamond2. The best choice? That is really up to you! :) Good Luck With it!

 • this phone is realy stylish. I have the phone but no navigation software, what is the best software for navigation?

 • Same here in India also.the service by HTC the worst...it was my worst nightmare, the experience I had with HTC service.

 • ya man , htc has poor quality than any android phone incompare to sound, battery etc.. but remember windows phone is the best phone for professional user.you cant get that much function and options as compare to android.you can easily install and get the free software much easily than any smartphone or android.i am using 16gb memory card with my full function.much sofware i get frm www.ipmartforum.com n window website.you can make your windows mobile 3D......with spb software...you can study in mobile...its great..

 • nice phone. I gotta buy it.

 • strange cos in south africa leaf who service htc are the best service company i have ever had dealings with

 • Never buy this phone you will regret it. this not a durable phone and the service center in the philippines is rubbish

 • Yes I return it to where i Bought the phone. and they advice me to bring it to the service center. the most prostrating part is people at the service center are not that approachable. Believe me this will be the last HTC that i will purchase i will never never buy any HTC product because of their poor quality control.

 • hey, i had too that kind of problem 3mth later i bought.i suddenly have a problem that reciever can hear me but i cant hear others sound.that means i had a ear piece problem.i consult to the manufacturer and the seller, they said me to return it back and i send my phone to where i bought, they repaired for me within 1mth.now i have no problem at all.better you return it back if u have warranty.plz ask me if anything you like.

 • My God I have this Phone for less than a year now. But suddenly my ear piece and the speaker stop working. I cant hear the voice of the other iam talokng too and my alarm clock i cant hear the alarm. I read in the htc diamond two that the speaker and the ear piece of this phone is really in bad built.

 • hi i owe this phone for over a year and i wanna share my experiences so u can decide go for it or not. pros: amazing LCD resolution 480x800 gives u a prefect show u will love the LCD. its fast there is no crash or system failure during time i'm using it well there was 2 or 3 time it hanged and it easily solved by removing battery and putting it back on. easy upgade from6.1 to 6.5 OS even a goat can do it by reading the manuals!!! there are over a million of lovely and funny apps that u can install and enjoy. there are 100 of menus that u can explore! in compare to Symbian at least i think so. easy connects to computer. its a beautiful phone a sexy one! WiFi and Bluetooth are very handy on this phone YouTube app is really cool u can see video in HD quality on it. perfect and super sensitive G.sensor in compare to Nokia phone (personal expes) camera is good i mean good for a pocket PC the pictures that were taken in day light can be printed in A4 size without losing quality. well i guess thats enough for pros! now about cons battery SUCKS!!! 100% charged in the morning dont even touch it evening u have lost more that 50% battery charge gps is 15 day and if 3rd team of Pakistan football team by 7 players can beat Spain by 24 player then u can buy a premium account for your GPS! audio quality is very low if u can hear the growing grasses then u can hear the ringtone too! and finally head phone do not bring them home! they are designed for mammoth elephant ears! if u had any question Email about this phone Email me: [email protected]

 • I turn the device off at night when I sleep. And in the morning turn it on again. It is not 5 full days day and night, but still I think it is quiet reasonble. Plus the battery is only 1100 Mah with a hig-res screen. The HTC HD Mini has 1200 Mah and the Desire has 1400 mah. I am trying to even increase the battery life playing with the brightness of the screen. Unfortunately it is not as good as my old Nokia 6310i which was able to reach 18 days non stop standby (without any calls whatsoever). But the phones have more functions and better displays so i think we need to live with short battery life...

 • 5 Days... Thats huge lot of time..... unbelievable..... my opinion was even if we dont use it at all, it can stay upto max 3 days... anyways thats good news, atleast we came to know the capability of battery.

 • hey...TD2 uses..... plz tel me how to send multiple photos via bluetooth to another device????? sending one by one sucks.... :-( plz post ur opinions....

 • hi all, when someone send me thing by Bluetooth it automatic save at device. can it automatic save to my sd card ?

 • Actually, this is probably the best phone on the market as far as price / ratio is concerned. I admit it should have a 3.5mm audio jack and that is a serious fault, but other than that, it does everything you need, it allows you to watch movies, enjoy your songs, take reasonable occasional photos and use GPS, all in a very handy "package". :) That is why I own an HTC Diamond2 and I'm really very happy with it!!!

 • I don't make a lot of phonecalls, my phone keeps it up for about 5 days. I have now set my screen brightness on 30% instead of automatic adjust, I don't know if that makes a difference but it's worth trying it.

 • hey...TD2 uses..... plz tel me how to send multiple photos via bluetooth to another device????? sending one by one sucks.... :-( plz post ur opinions....

 • yeah me too...now am not facing any problem with this phone... Battery also very good. With good usage it can work for two days...I tested it. i got 35 hours of standby i.e. 1 hour talktime + few hours of device usage.

 • Akki, that is good new for you to, so another problem fixed. I am very happy with this phone after all.

 • i perchase one bring it to home but not working. when goes to sleep mode never come back till remove the battery and reinsert again. returned and brought another same daimond 2. but same thing with this also . now i dicided to bring touchpro 2. but why this is happened? any body pls help. it may usable for other's. thank's

 • Great News! Really Happy for you! :) It had to work as it did work with me and other users. This is why I think this Forum is so great: It's actually honest and useful! Good Luck with your phone! Enjoy it! =)

 • Hi all, hey i got the way to delete the messages in " Delete Items". It is same way as it was there in 6.1v Just go to the Message Tab on HTC Sense Bar, then tab on "ALL MESSAGES", then a new page will open where all messages would be displayed, then tab on "MENU", a list will pop up and scroll up the list, there you will find the "SELECT ALL MESSAGES" option. I was just facing the issue of finding the "SELECT ALL MESSAGES" option. It was already there, it was just that i did not scroll up the pop list. That's it.

 • My TD2 device memory is full and i have been try to delete some dawnloads and un-used file. am having dificulties in doing that. and i also want to send my Sd card as my default storage. Thanks

 • I found a way to set your messages tune volume louder without setting the ringintune louder. ou have to adjust that in the settingsscreen. Tabs > setting > sound. Than you see somewhere in the middle, something as volume control, and 'system' with a range in %. you can set that louder or less louder.

 • yes my phone is branded....i dont think that my phone unbranded....can u plz tell me which country u belong to?? I am from India.

 • Strange... Is your phone branded, i.e., has it got an "operator designed" software? Mine is unbranded/free and it states quite cleary under "About": OS Version Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional I'd suggest taking your phone back to the place/store where you've bought it or check it out with a friend who's got the same phone. If different users have indicated the different ways they do it and proven that it is possible and it is not the phone's fault, there is no doubt you have to check it with whoever sold/upgraded you your phone. Also, try to read the manual and google for a solution. Maybe other people have gone through the same and have been able to solve it. Good Luck with your phone!

 • After tabing on "Messages" on HTC sense bar, where last message is seen, there on the Left side you are saying "MORE" but i have "All Messages" and Right i have "MENU" so i am not able to see "MORE" option. please confirm which version on Windows u have. i have 6.5v

 • I had mine TD2 2 weeks and returned it. Major reason was the resistive touch display which I really had problems with, invoking unwanted actions. I really recommend people only to buy phones with capacitive display. WLAN and phone signal sensitivity not as good as Nokia. And the missing photo-flash makes the photo function useless for a lot of things (like reading bar codes or scanning documents). Relative slow in general and web browser slow and cumbersome.

 • 1.Deleted Items 2.Menu 3.Select messages 4.All 5.Delete 6.yes

 • htc sense bar (bottom) > click/touch message icon >on screen you get "Messages" and you get last message received (black screen). UNDER htc sense bar (on the bottom of the screen) you get: on the left bottom "MORE" on the right bottom "MENU" Click/Touch "MORE" > you get a (windows-like) screen entitled "Messages" (light grey screen) on the bootom left you have "BACK" on the bottom right you have "MENU" Click / Touch "MENU and you get: (From top to bottom:) "NEW" - "CLEAN ALL" - ORDER BY" - DEFINITIONS" So, you'll just have to click/touch "Select All" and ALL your messages will be deleted at once FOR EVER!(remember you're already inside "deleted messages", so all "CLEANING/ERASING" will be permanent) If you don't see/have these menus I'd suggest you have an operator-branded version or a local-branded version/software and you should check with your local operator. Good Luck with your phone!

 • I did not get the procedure explained below.... nor i found "MORE" button opposite to MENU. how to select messages???? please tell end 2 end procedure... it would be of great help.... fyi...i am using 6.5v

 • You are correct! I've just tried to communicate oher users a safe way to delete multiple messages at once, knowing exactly which messages you are deleting and providing a way to keep any message(s) you want NOT to delete at that time. I prefer deleting multiple messages simultaneouly while being able to keep (for the time being) any msg I choose (NOT to delete)... But, it is true that your method is much easier, less complicated and, obviously, faster! :) Thank you for the help and feedback provided. Good Luck with your phone!

 • when you are in the messages tab on the htc sense bar, you have to click 'more' > menu > delete > menu > select all > ok. This is the only way I know it will be the fastes way to delete all in 1 time instead of select all messages saperatly.

 • - Yes, there is. On the scrolling bar you select "messages", it shows the last message you've received. Then, you click on "MORE." (bottom left - opposite to "menu") In the Upper Menu you click "Sent Items" or "Deleted Items" (wherever you keep the messages you want to delete) and it scrolls down all folders (similar to any Outloo-like PC programme)> there, you can select "Received", "Sent" or "Deleted Items". Now, you see ALL selected folder's (sent/deleted, etc.) Messages. You click MENU and choose "Eliminate/Delete Messages" and you see a small box in front of ALL your messages. You tick ALL BOXES (a red X appears) and you'll DELETE ALL messages. > If you do this on "Sent Items", you'll send selected messages (ALL of them, if you wish), at once to "deleted items". > If you do this on "Deleted Items" you will eliminate/erase ALL your mesages permanently. Hope it has helped. Good luck with your phone.

 • that is wat i am telling that there is no option to "Select all" in delete Items...

 • to delete all sms's at once.... go to delete messeges, then Menu,Select all,delete.....

 • @ wookie yeah right, I too have so many sms to delete in "DELETE ITEMS". how do we delete them all. We need to delete them as it will keep on increasing in "DELETE ITEMS" and eat up memory also. there should be any way to delete them. please advice how to delete all sms in one go from "DELETE ITEMS". This problem is there in 6.5v and not in 6.1v.

 • I tried and tried but I cannot delete all messages with just 1 or 2 clicks. Everytime you have to select the sms messages you want to delete. Does other HTC WM phones have the same problem? Like HTC HD Mini? If so, I am afraid that there isn't any other solution than what we have right now. My Nokia 6610 can, just press menu and delete all messages. But this phone can't:(:(:( I had like 100 messages I wanted to delete.

 • We are not able to select all sms in one go. how do we delete all sms in "Delete Items"??? doing it one by one sucks...!!! Is there any way to delete all sms's in "DELETE ITEMS" in one go???? please advice if any.....

 • Actually, this is probably the best phone on the market as far as price / ratio is concerned. Its price has gone down considerably and it is a handy phone, not too bulky, with a brilliant and vivid high resolution screen, full of great specs which will stand the test of time. Obviously, This is not the world's best phone. Better phones are constantly coming out, so you have to make your decisions according to the moment when you're buying and the money you're willing to spend on a phone. That is why this phone is great. It simply is a GREAT phone. The sound is loud and clear on all occasions, but I recognise it should have a 3.5mm audio jack and that is a serious fault, but other than that, it does everything you need, it allows you to take photos and videos, watch your movies, enjoy your songs and use GPS, all in a very handy "package". I know it does not have a flash, but my camera does. Phone Flashes are rubbish: too short, too narrow and underpowered to be any good. That is why most people end up showing them off as small flashlights. Trashing a phone because it does not have a "flash"/light on it, just isn't serious. So, let's move on to serious business: As I've mentioned, the screen is great and you have lots of different types of software to load... So, as far as software and OS are concerned, it accepts 16GB cards, meaning you've got LOTS & LOTS of compatible applications, games and GPS Programmes you can use/install/download... and, the last, but by no means, the least, you've got... =HTC_Topaz ... where you can exchange experiences, opinions, learn A LOT and personalise your phone in a way you can't imagine! :) That is why I own a Diamond2 and I'm really very happy with it!!!

 • no camera flash !!!! phone sucks because of this missing feature stupid htc

 • @ Depen i did not find the Tools menu...could you please tell me the proper process where i can reach the toodl menu. i mean starting from tabbing the message tab and then tabbing on "All messages". please advice...

 • I fully agree with you. This phone is a piece of shit. After 3 months of using I had to give it back because the sound it's pretty lousy and I can only use it with headphones on, the phone start dialing the last number without touching it. It's pretty difficult to use and to find what you want since you have the option of using phone options or windows options and many are double. I got lost and I wanted to use the GPS and it was loading the page for 30 minutes and at the end I turned it off. My recommendation, DON'T BUY THIS PHONE if you don't want to be as piss as I am.

 • yeah i'm afraid there isn't and i have not found a solution yet. which is strange for such a hugh-end device cause mybsimple nokia can...

 • hey,go to inbox of sms/mms then u click to tools from inside menu.within tools u will find option of clear "SMS/MMS" so u click on it ,n it will be ask for- "all messages in your inbox and sent items folders will be deleted from the SMS/MMS account on this device." do you want to continue? so click ok if u want to delete all sms. thats fine ok?

 • yeah that is where i hv concerns that we are not able to select all sms in one go. how do we delete all sms in "Delete Items"??? doing it one by one sucks...!!! obviously once selected it can be deleted. one more discovery i did that when u are in "Inbox items", you get option to select all sms. just press Menu for a sec and release it, the option for selecting messages will be seen in that menu. but if u just tab the menu once like normal tabbing on screen, then the option for selecting all sms does not appear. I REQUEST ALL TD2 USERS TO TRY THIS AND CONFIRM. THANKS... OPINIONS AWAITED

 • i think that there is no option to increase the sms volume without increasing the caller volume. only single volume is used for calls and sms...

 • is there a way to set the tune of incoming messages louder, whitout setting the tune for incoming calls louder? I can adjust the sound with the up and down volume button but in that case my ringingtune will get louder to... anyone know what to do?

 • yes...battery not lasting

 • its good experience...but only pblm with battery

 • yeah that is where i hv concerns that we are not able to select all sms in one go. how do we delete all sms in "Delete Items"??? doing it one by one sucks...!!! obviously once selected it can be deleted. one more discovery i did that when u are in "Inbox items", you get option to select all sms. just press Menu for a sec and release it, the option for selecting messages will be seen in that menu. but if u just tab the menu once like normal tabbing on screen, then the option for selecting all sms does not appear. • hi everyone,i just bought a TD2,the phone is wonderful, nice features but there is one little problem:my battery drains very fast even if i'm not using the phone and i have to charge every single day.is there anything i can do or it's just factor defect?

 • sorry I mean in the first sentence that I do not use the camera very often. sory but my englis is not so good!!

 • Yes it is true there is no flash but is do use it very often but recentlly i use it and the pictures where prety good with not so much light in the room. But yes in te dark the camera is rubbish because the lack of the flash. I can delete all sms messeges when I select all of them but I need t o select all of them manually which takes a long time if u have like 100 sms in the inbox. But if they are al selected I can delete them all in 1 time.

 • when we send a SMS, we have the option whether we want a "Delivery Report" or not. So after typing a sms and then clicking on the "Message Option", there comes a check box which after checking it allows us to recieve the delivery report when the sms is delievered to the recepient. But this i need to do it everytime i have to sent a sms. Is there anyway where this can be checked permanantly so that i dont have to tick this checkbox even now and then i send a sms. This option was there in 6.1v and could not find in 6.5v. please advice.

 • but the camera is good only during day light or when proper lights are available. But when there is very less light or little bit darkness also, then photos are very dissapointing, i mean totally dark photos which are of no use. So i am bit dissapointed with the camera. If would have night vision facility then also it would do. but no such options also.

 • I have TD2 it is very good phone I like the screen and camera even withh no flas it isa god qualiti camera. definatly a 10 outa 10!!!!!!!!!

 • I don't think there's that option anymore... WM6.5 simply forces us to delete our messages ONE at a time! :(

 • hey friends..... i have this TD2 with recently changed to win 6.5v. when i click on the tab of "SMS", and then click on "All Message". i want to delete all sms in one go in "Delete Items", but in "Menu" tab i could not see option to select all sms and delete them in one go. this option was there in win6.1v, but not in 6.5v. please advice..

 • Hi All, you all must have read my posts earlier about me complaining about the battery for TD2. If not you can still read my previous complains. As suggested by one of our frirnds's post here that i need to go back and give my TD2 to Service center and check that why my battery drains in 4-5 hrs. here i am back with good news and smile on my face that i got my TD2 done with my battery problem solved. One evening last week i gave my smartphone to service center and complained to faulty battery/battery draining to early. So they kept it for a day to check and test and asked me to call next day. i called next day to check the status and know what exactly is the problem. They said that battery is OK and problem is with hardware. So they said that they will replace the hardware (no charge as phone is still under warranty). Then again next day i went to take my smartphone. With new hardware and it had Win 6.5 (earlier i had 6.1v). so i did self check my battery/hardware for two days and today i am writing this review. I charged my smartphone and unplugged it at 9pm. so with few calls and few usage and standby i still had 50% battery at 9pm next day. so in all i am now happy with my handset performance and i think its the best one in market as i can see by performance of this along with the exprience of enhanced TouchFLO 3D.

 • i have the htc d2 from december and i talk every day aboyt1-2 hours and i use internet for 30 minutes and the battery is about 60%every night. i charged my battery every 2 days

 • Nice phone to use .simply gud

 • I think, yes ... the battery can't work miracles. You have to remember too that when you use GPS on any mobile phone, you are transmitting at full power and therefore using HUGE amounts of battery power. It's handy to use GPS on a phone - VERY handy but maybe a better idea is to use a GPS system in your car. If you ride a motorcycle etc this won't really be an option but you may find it a better option if you're using a car for business rather than using your phone OR buy a car charger - I got mine with the phone when I bought it. I used to own a Palm and I always had to 'terminate' background services coz all they did was clog up the phone memory and drain the battery. As the user before said though, maybe you have a faulty battery. There was a time when you could buyer higher mAh batteries - is that possible with a HTC ?? I haven't checked as I haven't needed to. Hope you get it sorted though ;)

 • Use a download manager like DAP to download.i did the same.

 • D/L rom you wan , or ask the ppl for help

 • I have tried several times for D/L WM6.5 from official site of HTC. But it failed because of the bad bandwidth for all the site the offered. I am wondering if you have any other suggestion for me to D/L it successfully? Meanwhile, if I want to use the facebook on this device, are there any other applications should I further install?

 • Those of you with short battery lifetimes: assuming you have switched off auto-downloads, push email, etc., try a soft reset (power off then power on). I have an app (Telstra WhereIs Navigator, for GPS navigation) which seems to drain the battery fast even after I have closed it. General observations: - Wifi uses lots of power - 3G/HSDPA and bluetooth use little power - GPS I think uses lots of power (see above). I have sometimes gone 2 days between recharging, but usually I recharge every night.

 • Yes definately upgrade to WM 6.5 if you still have 6.1, it works the same way, not slower or what so ever. I have worked with 6.1 on this device, and since a month I work with 6.5, and HTC Sence is upgraded as well with the 6.5 version. Main disadvantage is not software related for me, but the battery cover and the camera do not fit perfectly, so there is always a lot of dust underneath the battery cover. I would say just clean it and get use to it.

 • -What are the disadvantages of the HTC Diamond2 ?? -Can we call on numbers with a (*) or (#) with it ? ..I had that problem with Nokia N900 -How is the Video recording ? -Should I upgrade it to 6.5 ?? ..thanks

 • 36h tops? Having to charge your TD2 every day/night? That seems to be normal (to me, at least). Most of us with 'performance' devices tend to charge them overnight, or have a small emergency power pack (e.g. a car charger) available for when the going gets really tough! Similar devices on other platforms are no better, and often worse! iPhones, Nokias and Android devices all need charging daily if/whenever used to their full potential. Good Luck with your phones!

 • the phone is ok but the autonomy of the battery is about maximum 36 hrs i close it during the night even if the wifi is not connect im really disapointed to buy it its better i wait and bought the DESIRE

 • @ Carlos: "On 9am i get 100%. On 7pm, without any call, all wifi comunications off, i get 25% :(" Strange. That desn't happen to me. I've now left my TDiamond2 uncharged for about 26 hours and I've still got 54% battery. Of course I've all energy savings ON and all automatic downloads/connections OFF. Today, I haven't used it, but yesterday, I've made two quick calls and updated Quick GPS and Weather via WiFi. Whenever I use GPS then, YES, battery does go off really quickly. As I've mentioned before, that is exactly why I've purchased a car charger for my phone. @ AKKI: "Today morning(DD/MM/YY = 2/6/2010), i unplugged my cell at 7am. made 2-3 calls for around 1-2 mins, nothing other than that. And then my battery drained down to 10% around 11am. So you can see, could use only for 4-5hrs." Try to get feedback from other users, but I still think you should go back to the shop where you've bought your phone, complain and ask for a replacement or a refund! Anyway, are you sure you don't have your screen(s) turned on (lighted up) all the time? Are you sure you don't have any programmes/ DATA connections constantly running (not closed) or even running from time to time on the background? Did you turn off all automatic data download (Internet, Weather, etc)? Please, verify any "hidden" automatic connections as those may be responsible for such a fast/abnormal usage of battery. Best luck with your phones!

 • I recently upgrade my mobile ROM frm 6.1 to 6.5. Earlier my mobile battery last long for 45-48hrs. But with window 6.5 it hardly stands for 20-22hrs Even the usage of mobile still same I wonder why it is happening. Please help me out because it sucks when I have to charge my mobile Every day.

 • I like the pda, good functions and aspect but... and there must have always a but... the battery really sucks. I left charging all night. On 9am i get 100%. On 7pm, without any call, all wifi comunications off, i get 25% :( I dont want think if i need use a gps during a trip...

 • Hi Thanks for sharing your exp. Today morning(DD/MM/YY = 2/6/2010), i unplugged my cell at 7am. made 2-3 calls for around 1-2 mins, nothing other than that. And then my battery drained down to 10% around 11am. So you can see, could use only for 4-5hrs.

 • Only too glad to help! :) But, I'm afraid I haven't provided much help... :( Actually, I still suspect your phone's battery is faulty/damaged OR that you've got some heavy programmes or applications running in the background and you haven't noticed it, which I find hard to believe. It is now 11:40 p.m. I have unplugged my phone at about 9:00 a.m., I've carried the phone all day long, updated Weather and Quick GPS only once, but I've played some games for about half an hour; I've made two phone calls (total: about 5 minutes) I've received a call that took about 5 more minutes of conversation and my phone still displays 56% battery as I write this post. All this, At 11:40 p.m. So, you see, why I believe there must be something wrong either with your battery OR (it is not impossible, but it is much more unusual) with your battery charger. ' Hope it all turns out just fine! Best of Luck!

 • Thanks a lot for sharing your exprience. I am definately going to visit the shop and complain for the faulty battery. Thanks again.

 • I'm afraid there must be something wrong with your battery. I have retrolights out after 3 minutes and brightness set at 60%. Turn off after: 5 minutes Today, a typical day, I charged my battery all night long, until about 9:00 a.m. I then went out for the whole day. I've updated Weather and Quick GPS twice (morning and late afternoon at work) At lunchtime I quickly browsed the Net; that's when I read your post. It is now 00:15 a.m. and I'm charging it again as I'll need it - as usual - for a whole day. You say: "But this phone comes to 20% in less that 10 hours. Why??? I dont use any applications, no gprs, no wifi, no internet, in all nothing, not even music." Of course I believe you, but - trust me at midnight, my phone still had 37% charge/power. I must refer I only did two quick calls at lunchtime and in the afternoon. Total Talking time? Around 5 minutes, I guess. I also don't listen to music on my phone: I prefer MP3 dedicated players. I only use GPS on large trips mainly during weekends and THEN battery does drain very quickly. That is why I've purchased a Car Charger for my HTC D2. I would advise you to try to change/replace your battery or find a friend or a shop who lends you one. My honest conclusion/experience is this is NOT the world's best battery, but it keeps your phone working for a whole day without problems (except if you use GPS software for a long trip). You do have to charge it every night - except on weekends where I don't use my phone, then it lasts for the whole weekend and I'll just charge it sunday night to be prepared for the whole work day. Go to the shop where you've bought your phone and complain. Write HTC and complain. You've spent your money: You deserve a faulty-free, functional product. Don't give up your rights! Best Luck with your problem.

 • YES, I agree to what you say that in todays world of smart phones, we have to accept this battery issue because of large colour screens. Also agree to some extent about the limitations you talking about. But this phone comes to 20% in less that 10 hours. Why??? I dont use any applications, no gprs, no wifi, no internet, in all nothing, not even music. Then why the battery is not that much efficient to give me charge atleast for more than a day????? If it gives, I will be happy then with few hours of talktime+standby. Just wanna ask you, how much your TD2 gives you battery life????

 • I read that there is an application for the HTC Desire called Juicedefender, it will increase the battery life of the device. Wheter it works yes or no, I don't know. And if it works on the HTC TD 2, I don't know, because this phone is WM and Desire is Android.

 • Sorry to say, that probably means there ISN´T ANY "battery patch". Battery life depends on its capacity (measured in mAh) and the use you give to your phone. You can't expect miracles: nowadays, batteries cannot last as much as they did on oild phones without large coloured touch screens, apps, games and gps, wifi, etc You'll have to accept the battery's limitations, WHATEVER phone you choose. No "miracle patches" can overcome those limitations.

 • HTC for just 16k ...watch out at sangeethamobiles.com..hurray...!!!

 • i also came to know for the first time here itself in one of the review. just search for "battery patch" and you will find that review containing the link. the link provided itself is of HTC website and i have searched whole of it and did not find the battery patch.

 • HTC touch Diamond-2 priced at 16k: Visit I think this is the best price for which one can buy this piece.

 • Never heard of it. Anyway, you may 'google' it or search HTC's website. But, I don't think there is such 'patch'. Sorry.

 • @SAN. please provide me the proper link to download the battery patch.

 • you should install a battery patch for diamond 2 from htc site, i did and it is working fine,

 • Battery problem? Maybe you should try a different battery. That seems to be a typical case of a faulty battery. I'd advise getting a new one.

 • Dear plz solve my query. How to activate the Mobile Internet plan in Mole HTC touch Diamond.Send ASAP

Better phones are constantly coming out, so you have to make your decisions according to the moment when you're buying and the money you have to spend. That is why this phone is great. I admit it should have a 3.5mm audio jack and that is a serious fault, but other than that, it does everything you need, it allows you to watch movies, enjoy your songs and use GPS, all in a very handy "package". As I've mentioned, the screen is great and you have loads of software to load... So, as far as software and OS are concerned, you've got LOTS & LOTS of compatible applications, games and GPS Programmes, and, the last, but by no means, the least, you've got... =HTC_Topaz ... where you can exchange experiences, opinions, learn A LOT and personalise your phone in a way you can't imagine! :) That is why I own a Diamond2 and I'm really very happy with it!!!

 • The HTC is the worst mobile phone you can buy ever because bad hardware and OS.....!

 • So if i were to get this phone in Hong Kong would it be in chinese or is there a way to switch it back to english or is there any difference from US/Canada purchased and Hong Kong purchased. And also would it be cheaper in Hong Kong? Thanks for the help! :)

 • Hi,i'm thinking of buying a new HTC smartphone as i have never been a HTC user before. Can i know which smartphone is better, HTC Touch Diamond 2 or HTC touch 2? i saw the previous comments of HTC TD2 and it seems that many people are not quite satisfy with this phone as compare to HTC touch 2 quite a number of people suggest others to buy that phone. i'm thinking of buying HTC TD2 more than HTC touch 2 just because of the bigger screen size. can someone give me some suggestions? Thanks:)

 • Microsoft forces their customers to resolve all the updates, registers and authentications for their operating systems at the time of using their gagets with all their softwares. That is not fair. May be they ask to purchase their upgraded softwares. I experienced this when I used touch diamond 2 with my PC.

 • i get that its wthout 3g, but an almost 14k difference for the 3g version is not really worth.. plus for 29k ther r better phones in the market.. but its a gr8 phone anywaz.. m planning to get ths 1, wthout the 3g coz as it is in india 3g hasnt really established itself.. will tk atleast a yr or 2 fr it to build grounds here, thn i'll switch ths 1 fr a better phone..

 • The one at ebay.in for 16.5K is the non-3G special version, just as they launched touch2 special version for a lower price.

 • i'm guessing u r a malaysian... and the diamond 2 is a good phone.. n ur wrong about the battery.. my diamond 2 battery is alright... HTC is good... i dun think u actually had this phone...

 • How can i download music in my phone and when i go to My documents theres music and there tap botten for going to the next song doesnt work what do i do

 • hey sempoi...there's nothing wrong with htc phones, they are the KING of Smartphones...Nokia & Apple are Dumbphones. i don't know which country ur from, but i can guess ur someone who can't even afford to buy a Nokia 3310. HTC will always be the Best !! Deal with it sempoi = Dumb

 • 29000 bucks.......akki are u sure...........

 • How do you have 26 hrs of battery???

 • i bought TD2 on 2nd April 2010. did lot of research before zeroing on this one. regularly visited shops to compare and judge the best touch screen phone. well had used nokia since many years and got bored of symbian OS and wated to go for a touch screen along with Windows. also my choice is bit different related to brands and the style of handset. so i decided to go for HTC this time. i know erricson, samsung etc have come out with good models, but i dont prefer these brands coz these brands also come with consumer products other than mobile handsets. Regarding HTC TD2, i like the elegancy and colour, sleekness and overall style. rest handsets i ignored coz of may be shape, colour, screen size or features. And yes the major reason of buying HTC also goes to enhanced TouchFlo 3D, patent of HTC. So far i did not face any issue other that battery which lasts for around 1-1.5 day, so adjusting with that. music quality is superb. Touch response is excellent than other handsets. Though i feel that 29000/- is too much, should be around 24k-25k.

 • Here is HTC UK's Official Support Page: Where you'll find: ROM Upgrade for HTC Touch Diamond2 Here you'll find new ROM versions for several countries: Then you'll only have to write your phone's Serial Number, follow the instructions and you'll have your phone updated! Don't forget to have your phone fully charged before any Rom update (this applies to all phones, no matter brand or Operating System) Good Luck!

 • Hay, u can visit www.htc.com regarding ur Q.u can find the answer from there.copy ur phone serial number 1st ok.

 • Hay, I am just an ordinary user of this phone. I am little bit tight up with my job, but from time to time take a look to gsmarena. So I saw that the phone can be upgrade from WM6.1 to 6.5.I want to ask you how can I possible upgrade correctly my HTC TD2 from WM 6.1 to 6.5? Thank you! Meanwhile, I did not yet regret to have this phone. I have bought it in August last year. Until now without problem. Works fine.

 • Faizal, thanks for the tip. But where is the Ctrl/Shift key??

 • will it be updated to windows 6.5.3.........

 • Yes the HTC TD2 is prepacked with a stylus and im thankful for that cuz it is required in certain menus.

 • please help, im a HTC fan (dont want Blackberry or Iphone) just got a HTC HD2... its horrible to use. does the touch diamond2 still have a stilus? i need a stilus phone, this touching with the fingers takes forever and it just doesnt work for me, everytime i touch the phone something goes wrong, please advice. Is the Touch Diamond2 still going?

 • What's better,, htc touch diamond 2 or Blackberry Storm 2??? oh yes, i thought htc is just similar with dopod,,, but when i used the keypad,, why there is no "control" key on the keyboard?? i thought this is windows mobile...

 • Actually, this is probably the best phone on the market as far as price and quality are concerned. Its price has gone down considerably and it is a handy phone, not too bulky, full of great specs which will stand the test of time. I find it annoying that competitors' fanboys come here and say this phone is "crap". That is being both rude and a liar! This is not the world's best phone. Better phones are constantly coming out, so you have to make your decisions according to the moment when you're buying and the money you have to spend. That is why this phone is great. I admit it should have a 3.5mm audio jack and that is a serious fault, but other than that, it does everything you need, it allows you to watch movies, enjoy your songs and use GPS in a very handy "package". • Yest, it does... and it lights up its screen (exiting stanby mode) whenever you take it off (which it's really useful) AND During a phone call, if you remove the stylus a notebook appears so that you can take notes or write something you may need on the phone while you're talking. The original package comes with a spare stylus and even if you loose the two original stylus, there are plenty of official and equivalent ones available for sale in any phone shop. I'd advise you to read some reviews, or even download the user manusal/guide as there are many features on this phone you may find interesting.

 • beter u try NK1202...best choice i tink

 • So this phone does come with an in-built stylus?

 • I would say the Diamond2 IS a great choice. Of course, having chosen one myself, mt opinion tends to be somewhat biased as it will happen on any other thread about any other phone... So, I believe you'd better try out and "feel" different phones, as aesthetics and personal taste are also vital when it comes up to choosing ANY gadget! Goood Luck!

 • Wait, so is HTC sense touchflo??

 • I was wondering if someone could give me advice...I'm looking for a touch-screen phone with Microsoft, an in-built stylus, and preferably a good camera (at least 5MP). I'm having trouble - anyone know of a phone that fits the bill? Any tips would be greatly appreciated :-).

 • enable htc sense, u will have touchflo.

 • Hi everyone, I bought my phone from Clove Technology. When I received it, I tried to enable touchflo 3d, but when i went to settings, all settings, today, then to items, there was no touchflo 3d to check, the only thing checked was htc sense. Help please? I also did a hard reset but it was the same.

 • This is a Great phone: Crisp, brilliant screen (great definition) / Great Quality Photos (for a phone, of course) / Video Call / Memory cards up to 16GB / Great audio quality / Bluetooth / GPS / WiFi / Lots & Lots of Software and... ... where you can exchange experiences, opinions, learn A LOT and personalise your phone in a way you can't imagine! :) Letdown? You don't get a 3.5 mm audio jack which is this phone's main fault. Otherwise, a great phone that I do NOT wish to swap for any of today's models. * yet ;) * (Who knows what tomorrow may bring...)

 • Any Hotfix to prolong the battery life, even on standby mode battery juice discharged 20 to 30 percent in an hour

 • I would not recommend this phone to anyone. It is Crap. the battary life on it is useless, it doesnt last long at all, even when i dont use it. The messageing on this phone is annoying because the keypad is to small. Even when you have this phone on horizontal for messaging, the keypad is still small. Just traded this phone for a Samsung Jet (S8000). The Samsung is alot better. this phone looks great, but using it is a joke!

 • Under "DEFinitions" > "Screen" you'll find "Align Screen" or some similar function. Your screen isn't calibrated, so you'll have to do it (again?) The process is quick and you'll have to press specific spots on the screen, so your phone will recognise the screen's limits/true size and respond correctly to any touch input you'll provide. If that doesn't work, then you may have a faulty screen. I sure hope not. I wish "recalibrating" your screen will solve that problem. Good luck with your phone!

 • Glad to be helpful! :) Are you sure you are "going to the file in file explorer, you want to send, holding the touch on it for a second and letting a window open to select BEAM FILE and letting your BT device search the other bluetooth device and then select the device to which you want to send"? Sending anything via BT is always a bit complicated and not particularly sage IMO. Anyway, I think you can send multiple files (e.g. images) by using third party apps just like resco explorer. BUT: I would strongly advise you to transfer mp3 and any other (larger) files via USB. It is the safest/fastest way to do it. Good Luck with your phone!

 • hi i have a very big problem with this phone. i have a lot of faults on the phone regarding to the response of the touchscreen. sometimes when i press the screen top right it will do something bottom left? almost like its opposites?? also the screen on it feels a bit soft and i am scared to use it incase i break the screen or something. is this usual with the screen and can anyone offer a fix for the response problem?? thanks

 • how do you uninstall facebook, marketplace and things like that

 • hey thx a ton....but i cant send files 4m my pc to phon....using blutooth...it says fta not found on phon...can u help....thx a lot agan...m lovin it

 • "Go to the file in file explorer, you want to send, hold a touch on it for a second and a window will open, select BEAM FILE and device will search the other bluetooth devices and select the device to which you want to send." "You can send multiple files (e.g. images) by using third party apps just like resco explorer." As you see, consulting/reading these "user opinions and reviews" pages may be helpful! You'll find almost anything here... And reading the phone's manual OR 'Googling' your question(s) is always fast and effective. And... ... Is also a GREAT site to fins... well, anything, actually! :) Now, as for MP3 Ringtones? Just drag and drop your songs and select the one(s)you want as ringtone. It's as easy as that. You can select any mp3 file and "set it as ringtone". You've got a great phone! Take some time to explore all its potentialities. Good Luck with it!

 • hi m new user of diamond2...hw can i set mp3 ringtones,n hw can i send multiple files via blutooth 4m pc....plz help me thx...cheers

 • BTW Ido miss a 3.5mm audio jack. That is the only fault I find on the Diamond2.

 • I have to say the Diamond2 IS the best phone I've always had. That's why I still keep it and use it daily. All the features you may need... on a truly reliable phone. Not a problem so far! It truly stands the test of time. It supports 16GB without any problem. I have a 16 Gb card on mine and it's great! You get your apps, games, GPS programmes, music and videos... ... and it still isn't full! The screen is really vivid and brilliant. It has got a great definition, so you get to carry your GPS, take good photos, have games, apps, videos and music and effectively use them, wherever you are/go! As far as battery life, you mustn't forget, it will inevitably depend on screen's size and programmes running. All 'Touchscreens' consume more battery than I'd like them to: Resolution, Colour, Integrated GPS receivers, Video/Phone Camera, music and video players... it's inevitable. Things have come a long way since the early days when screens were small and monocromatic and we all got used to having to press key "1" three times on our first mobile phones' little keyboards just to get the letter "C". Remember that? Back then batteries lasted for weeks! But that was then & this is NOW!:)

 • This a good Cellphone the only problem is a Battery you have to charge it everyday day (which is killing) HTC should do a hotfix on this.

 • yeah I agree, the battery is a big issue...I need to charge it every 24h.

 • my program memory also remains high, like 63-73% with no programs running, why could that be?

 • Does it have full flash support in the web browser.....pls let me know......as i want to buy this phone.......thanks

 • I have the same problem with my phone, only my received SMS timestamps are 4 hours in the past instead of 1 hour (before the DST switch, it was 5 hours in the past). I'm in UTC-7 timezone.

 • hi i forget my PASSWORD and want to format it plz help me

 • Go to Clear storage wait for your unit to reboot during the process of rebooting there is a portion detecting your current location time.

 • really I have tried all that and nothing works. I rechecked everything and am at a loss to what else to try changing.... im in gmt-4 time zone

 • pertaining to sms diffrent time go to regional settings set it in a location near you.

 • well I have this phone for a few months now and I absolutely love it. the only problem is that in my SMS messages, they are reading the recieved time an hour later than actually recieved.... I send one at 6.00pm recieve one next minute but it reads 7.01pm when its still 6.01 pm.... anyone got a fix for me? same timezone, country, etc...

 • Yes even on stand by mode in four hours my battery pack decrease by 30 percent HTC should adress this problem on battery

 • There are lots of games you can download for this phone from freewarepocketpc and other websites. Where have you tried downloading games and couldn't?

 • hi there, i got my td2 3months ago and i had got imate jamin before that and i feel the td2 is worse than jamin in battery and antenna. has anyone same experience? i have to charge the battery every day.

 • i bought this phone a month ago it sucks , i have odered two cases for it which was listed for this phone and they don't fit can't download games please let me know how if anyone finds a way to put games on this it sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 • i think you can send multiple files (e.g. images) by using third party apps just like resco explorer...

 • but, can we send more than one file(picture) at same time via bluetooth?

 • Strange! First of all,I would adise you to verify your WiFi settings. Also, I'd suggest setting WiFi Quality over Battery. Mot of all, I think you should verify your phone settings as low memory with no programmes running is very strange, indeed. Are you sure there isn't any programme running in the background? If so, try to compare your phone with a similar model: maybe there is actually something wrong with your phone and you should check it while it is still under warranty. Good Luck!

 • Have got this phone for past, 8 months now. facing lot of problems 1) Wifi disconnects automaticaly even if the phone is in range 2) After upgrading the phone to Win6.5, the phone's programe memory remains high always even if no programe is in use 3)As the phone PROGRAME memory is high, INTERNET EXPLORER AND YOUTUBE application closes automaticaly. Please help

 • go to the file in file explorer, u want to send, hold a touch on it for a second and a window will open, select BEAM FILE and device will search the other bluetooth devices and select the device to wich u want to send

 • Bough this unit 2 months ago. Quite ok with the unit; only thing is the bluetooth transferring(Pictures, Songs & Video). Cant really fond any ways to transfer them via bluetooth. Can anyone guide? The other comment is can't receive any 'name card' from Nokia mobile. only name in it without any contact. Anyone has this experience?

 • Try to google for "rotate screen/display", you'll see there are many small/light apps around to do just that. Anyway, I'd suggest taking a look at this: There is PLENTY to choose from, but mostly, to be learnt on these Forums. Good Luck with your phone!

 • When your phone hangs, you should be able to just do a soft reset (take off the battery cover, remove the stylus, and use the stylus to press the little red button underneath where the stylus used to be), instead of having to remove the battery. The storage and program memories are actually 2 different kinds of memory physically inside the phone. Program memory is required for programs to run. As your phone gets used and you run different kinds of programs, it gradually gets used up. If the % of program memory usage is really high, it can cause your phone to hang. To occasionally clean up your program memory, you can either turn your phone off and on (same as doing a soft reset), or you can install something like cleanRAM (you can find it on freewarepocketpc.net).

 • We are on the same Boat my Friend I was wondering why the sms alarm is quite delayed the sms alarm will not notify you unless you unlock your phone.

 • i've been using this phone for almost 5 months. i found several problems regarding the phone and have few queries about the phone. i found that the sms notification is not reliable. sometimes the sms notification will not sounded until i press my phone. besides, my phone do experience hang. when that happen, i need to remove my battery and turn my phone on again. why do the phone memory divided into storage and programs? what does the memory for program mean? if the free memory for program low, will it contribute to phone hang problem?

 • what utility that i need to installed?

 • I would adise you to verify your WiFi settings. Also, I'd suggest setting WiFi quality over Battery. Good Luck.

 • can any one tell the price of HTC touch Dimond2?

 • Install 'Advance Config' to your pone

 • i got 5 hours talk time with 1100mA bettry, for 900mA it should must be 3 hours

 • Hi everyone! I got HTC diamond2 and its wi-fi turns o automatically, then i have to restart my phone to get it back, can any one tell me what could be the reason

 • you need to install a separate utility and then select which programs you want auto-rotate in it.

 • Hi. I bought TD2 some 3 months ago and I am quite satisfy with it. The major problem I have is with autorotation. Namely, this option works in some programs but in others not. For example in Opera it works, but in EXCEL I can't get landscape view on any way! Does anybody know how to solve this? Thanks...

 • Check with your network provider its not a problem with your unit beacause you can send meassage before or check your message settings

 • I bought this phone 4 days ago and it was ok sending SMS for the first day then it starts give me the message (ur sms can not be sent) really i dont know what is the reason,,anyone can help please

 • I think I usually get more than an hour talk time.

 • I've heard that the talk time is less than an hour for this phone. Is it true?

 • Yeah, mine's about the same too, or even less. But then, I do keep my bluetooth on and connected to my headset throughout the whole day, so that drains the battery pretty quickly.

 • if your bettry is 900mA (see at the bettry it will be written any where on it) than it is normal but if it is 1100mA than you should check these things that 1) are you using oficial rom, the cooked roms from xda and other sites often drain bettry faster. 2) more and more of the rom and ram memory should be free, keep checking task manager that no programe should be running on the background. 3) your gps, bluetooth, wifi, edge or gprs data connections should be off, because they drain bettry faster. 4) last and more important: check that , is your bettry is swollen in the center, if so than replace it because it is ruined now. bettry become swollen in the center when your phone is on charging even it is charged fully. you should imidiately remove your phone from charging when charging is completed. note that the normal bettry life for 900mA is almost 2 , 3 days of stand by time and 1 day of normal useage. for 1100mA, stand by is 4 to 5 days and 2 days of normal usage.. bettries of 1600, 2400mA are also available but with fat back cover. reply here if u got some help from this points

 • Is it normal for this phone that the battery pack draines in two days even it is on standby mode.?Please reply me I need your help

 • thats realy very great.... all needs will b accomodated in 16gb easily. now a days i m searching that how to explore an other bluetooth device via TD2 like omnia i900...

 • I love this phone. Hope by the time Windows Phone 7 is out its price take a tumble. Cutie Pie, I'm waiting for you sweetheart.

 • It supports 16GB without any problem. 32GB cards are coming up soon, but they will be too expensive (better buy 2 X 16Gb) and I don't know whether they'll be recognised by our Diamond 2. I have a 16 Gb card on mine and it's great! You get your apps, games, GPS programmes, music and videos... It works great and it still isn't full! ;)

 • where can i get it (alt will be to ask b-party to use bluetooth explorer in this he can access & download multiple files {recommended b-party to have HTC})?

 • hi all m using TD2 from 3 months and it changed my experince totaly when i shifted to it from nokia symbian series (very bore now)... great phone it is. now thinking to upgrade to bigger memory card but want to know that to what extent it can support....

 • i m having diamond2 for past 7 months and its just working too good. lovely phone. infact great phone.

 • Please clear all existing wifi connections avalible in your device, then do a soft reset, then cross check wifi connection settings & then create new & search...

 • ROM updates is critical ensure you have a fixed data connection avaliable, recommended {Fixed line}& pls back up all data b4 you proceed. ROM updates will be suggestable to be done from a service centre

 • Phone freezing only happens when u ,install unlicensed softwares in today screen or access multiple application. apart from this no> clean ram software is avaliable which will bee a good alt for increasing RAM & h/s performance...

 • Mark all option is not avaliable in HTC h/s, u can only send one item at a time. alt will be to ask b-party to use bluetooth explorer in this he can access & download multiple files {recommended b-party to have HTC}.

 • I don't know of a way to mark the item.

 • when i want send picture or song via bluetooth is it possible to mark the item ? i only can sent 1 by 1 and this is very troublesome & time consuming !

 • hey i have been using my D2 since 4mth.its great and sexy phone.but its cons is battery life, but u can buy extended battery from mugen or buy the replacement battery of same 1100mAh from mugen that works great than htc battery of same power. 3200 mAh is good but its much thicker,if somebody dont care about thickness power is great n gives 7 days of normal use.buy from this website-

 • I've been using mine for 6 months and it hasn't frozen anytime. It works great.

 • I am a little confused between HTC Touch diamond2 or Nokia 5230 + Apple ipod Touch 8GB. Both will be of similar price. I actually like the free voice navigation that 5230 offers and also I want to have an experience of Windows Mobile before they change it all with Windows Phone 7. Can any body give me an opinion. I like reading pdf on the go and listen to music. Please reply,

 • Is anyone of you noticed that, after uprading to windows 6.5 if place or recived a voice call your backlight is on for the intire duaration of call.Is this normal to windows 6.5?

 • since i upgraded my phone from 6.1 to 6.5 i noticed that my backlight is always on during my voice call.is this normal

 • try to set in wifi in advanced, performance not baterry optimized, and it should work properly.

 • My phone is still Winmo 6.1 and it does stick once in a blue moon but who cares the phone is frieking awesome

 • could some one tell me if that phone freezs anytime? pleaseee!!

 • Will check it soon. FYI, i can use my iPhone, N72 in my home router. Just HTC is not working only.. Before when i was using winmo 6.1 is fine.. Luis

 • Have you checked your routers' definitions? Some Routers have the option of using ONLY Wi-Fi N connections. If that is the case,if you' have such option selected, you WILL NOT be able to connect your phones as they're only Wi-Fi 802.11b/g compliant. Can that be the case? Hope it has helped. Good Luck!

 • I have the same problem with you. Strange was, it cant connect my home wirelss. BUT, when i was in he office, it can... I think it wont work with Cisco router.. But work with DLink.. Luis

 • Just so everyone knows, there's a whole forum dedicated to the Touch Diamond2 here:

 • Does anyone know if HTC will release an update Rom 6.5.3 in HTC Diamond2???????

 • Hi to all I'd recently upgrade my HTC TD2 to WM 6.5, however I'd noticed that my phine stopped to register my wireless at home. I'm using the wireless N at home, my phone cannot find the network at all??? Kindly advise, thanks

 • I've asked HTC Support about the updates, and they said that each ROM Update contains all previous updates up to that point, and that updates released after the latest ROM Update are meant to go on top of that latest ROM Update. So if the handwriting update that you see is after the last WM6.5 ROM Update, then it is for WM6.5.

 • Does anybody know if the "Update for HTC Touch Diamond2 Handwriting" released on 2009-12-17 on the HTC site is for WM 6.1 or WM 6.5. I can get TD2 with WM6.5 but no handwritting recognition. Thanks

 • Anyone have this problem when playing audio on the Manila audio player: audio is fine until screen turns off after 1 minute. Then audio stops after a few seconds. After that the player hangs when you power on & then eventually crashes the phone. Same thing does not happen when using WMPlayer. Running Mobile 6.5. I have tried just about everything!

 • Hi all, I made up my mind for this phone, instead of the Samsung I900 Omnia. The main thing that changed my mind was the screen resolution. Question for the owners: Is the display really that close to capacitive? Share your comments on my blog also:

 • there is patch or file or any thing else i guess i saw it on htc website which says it can solve your problem. here is the link

 • little issue : when I turn my screen off (save battery!), I can still get ringtone when someone calls me, but I don't get an alert/alarm sound when I get an e-mail or SMS, although I activated this function in windows. Can anyone of you experts tell me what to do?

 • does it have problem with da battery or its me not knowing to use it.....it doesnt give more than a day... anybody give me a solution....???

 • I believe so now i have atleast 26 hours of battery when all apps and stuff are off... make sure unneeded stuff are off ight.

 • I have a question of my own... Has anyone experienced a problem where the timestamp on all received SMS messages are wrong? Ever since I started using the TD2, all my received SMS messages have timestamps that are exactly 5 hours in the past. The timestamps of my send SMS messages are correct though. Has anyone else had this happen to you? How do you fix it?

 • You can send files through bluetooth this way: - open File Explorer and navigate to the file - press and hold the filename - select Beam File... The phone will search for nearby bluetooth enabled devices. Choose the one you want to send to.

 • How do I transfer music, photos etc via bluetooth on my HTD2?

 • hi everyone! little issue : when I turn my screen off (save battery!), I can still get ringtone when someone calls me, but I don't get an alert/alarm sound when I get an e-mail or SMS, although I activated this function in windows. Can anyone of you experts tell me what to do? Gaz TD2 Tools = handy app to tweak functions of your TD2 to save a great deal on battery!

 • Do you think htc diamond 2 will also be upgraded to windows 6.5.3

 • So it will get better by itself after a while? I don't need to charge longer than 2 hours daily?

 • Housing on my D2 broke on totally uncommon place: just above volume buttons. Newer droped it though..!! Enyone with the same experience?!

 • Hey plzz someone tell me which one is better ? HTC Touch HD or Diamond2, becouse I like them both, but I like on HD that is almost the same like Diamond2 and it has 3.8" Screen which is bigger. And it's said that TouchFLO 3D works only on Home screen and gesture controls, does the same on Diamond2, or on diamond2 works on many other controls ? plzz someone tell me !

 • I had a similar battery issue when i first bought mine 6 days ago but, now its lasting way longer

 • Just bought the TD2 yesterday. I thought the MP3 can also be used as ring tone.. or do i need some kinda upgrade for that? Plus, the dealer told me not to upgrade the windows [or any other upgrades] myself, it needs to be upgraded by the service center.. does it really? And the battery... i did charged it the first time for 7 hours full and didn't do much with the phone for the whole day... but less than a day it went to 20%. I turned off the unnecessary things and no automatic update.. but still... can anybody tell me how can i fix it? over all... don't need the stylus. the photos turns out nice. just need to get used to the winmo. the manuals didn't help much. but oh well.. still like the TD2.

 • thank for your suggest using Arabizer but it decreases the performance of it i wanted built-in ability to change lang

 • Better / Safer place to upgrade? www.htc.com On their "Support" page you'll find "Product Support" and then you select "ROM upgrade(WM6.5) for HTC Touch Diamond2" Simply click to download. :) (do not forget to have your phone's serial number around as you'll need it to start the download!) Good Luck!

 • Lol i can get mines to upgrade either. But i think I won't i love how it looks and It's perfect for me right now.... But idk i still want to.... Must say I'm in love with this phone... I do like my Iphone 3GS too but it just can't compare with the TD2 for me.

 • how can i upgrade my diamont 2 windows to 6.5

 • You can take black and white or negative photos, sepia toned photos, and you have "themes" which basically are different frames for your photos. Anyway, as far as photo and video editing are concerned, I believe it's always preferable to "work on" your photos/videos on your computer with the programme of your choice. Best luck with your photos!

 • Ok ! Thank you very much ! U' helped me out with my situation ! :)

 • HTC Touch 2 or HTC Touch Diamond 2?

 • Can anyone tell me does HTC Diamond 2 have the function of photo n video editing? Thanks...

 • oh i forgot to tell u abt ur other 2 questions sir internet browsing is very same on pc instead the touch browsing is more awsom. symbian phones can not brows a heavy site but windows can. but bettry is issue as compared to nokia. the old beetry (900mA) can stay for 1 day with normal usage but i got 1100mA bettry which stands for 2 days of normal usage and 3 to 3.5 days of strand by time. i have also heard about 1600mA and 2400mA bettry. for 2400ms bettry u will b provided a fat back cover.

 • my dear buy diamond 2. nokia is going to close its symbian plateform at the end of this year along with n.gage. also the user experienc with this phone is great. its windows OS gives a very very vast oppertunities of enjoying the apps. instead the apps in real sense u can only enjoy on windows phone. the touch flo 3d is realy very attractive and make u addict.

 • ok ! thx, but do you recommend me to buy this phone or not ? becouse I want to buy Diamond 2 or N97, and I have a friend who has Nokia 5800 with symbian 9.4, and he has very little apps, and little games, which are not even fullscreen, and I herd from another friend that has an HTC, that has millions af apps and cool 3D games. And that's why I'm asking someone from here, which is better .. N97 or Diamond2, becouse I know that N97 is almost the same 5800, they have the same Symbian 9.4, and I think it will be a worse 4 me to buy N97, I think Diamond2 is the best 4 me ! I need some1 to tell me too which one to buy, and if Diamond2, please tell me how is the battery life and the internet browsing ? :) I'll apreciate much 4 help!

 • Any news whether HTC will upgrade HTC diamond2 into windows 6.5.3?????

 • obviously not ny dear, it cant support win7. only htc HD2 is the only phone currently which is expectd to suppoert win7, nut not sure. microsoft is going to release its own phone for win7 or i think accer will accompany them. there are aslo chances that microsoft jump into this cell phone race and use its win7 and later releases to promot its own manufatured phones only.

 • definitely definitely not. required: 1ghz, this has just half that

 • of course you can. just need a special computer guy do it for u. need a experience one

 • Hey some1 plzz tell me if I can put WinMo 7 on Diamond 2 ?

 • Does anyone use a belt case with a magnetic flap with this phone? Does the magnet on the case damage or mess up the phone/screen in any way?

 • my dear frnd go and buy this phone. it very much better than iphone specialy from the piont of view of UI. HD and Diamond2 only have these 6 dffrnces. HD have 1.wide shape 2. hd is little bit moer costly(v.imp) 3.hard butten in HD , confusing about pressed or not. 4. diamond2 have very easy approach anywhr on screen of ur thumb if u use cell holding in one hand 5. diamond2 have a hard butten of start menu 6. more betr resolution in diamond2 bcz same pixel rate accomodated in smaller screen. and ur quesion about bettry is rite. but if u have 1100mA btry than it will give u btr performance than 900mA btry. htc is also giving now 1100mA btry in box. only old phone have 900mA btry.

 • hey all i need yous help coz i'm goining to buy this phone tomorrow and i was asking which is better douch diamond 2 or touch HD ???? and what about the battery life i read all comments and more than one complain of battery life time :( i hope it's better than iphone , i have iphone 3g and really i hate this phone and wanna change it spo please any one can answer my question plz ???

 • Hey Guys , Ive got this Phone a Month ago and i must say that i was so disappointed from the Very Beginning becuz of its poor Battery and becuz of its Speed , HOWEVER, all that have changed after I flashed a Cooked Rom becuz now it has became Amazing , 50% more battery Life and 25% faster than the Stock Rom (am Using EnergyRom) and for the Guy who asked for the Arabic Lang , U can Find a Program called MobiDiv-Arabizer (its available in many Forums just google it ) so My overall Rating for it is 8/10 which isnt bad, however i might go for Nexus One soon becuz i believe it deserves 9/10 , Good luck

 • how can i found that its windows is English and does not support multilingual such arabic?

 • Yes, you can buy a GARMIN Mobile® XT (no publicity intended). Check out their site: Minimum requirements for Windows Mobile®, Palm® and Symbian® devices: Windows Mobile 5 or above operating system, 16MB program memory, 128MB storage card minimum (256MB or more recommended), 2GB storage card for full coverage

 • You can choose whatever GPS software you want / like /prefer. You may even have more than just one software installed on your TD2. My phone came with Co-Pilot (trial version) and Route66. I didn't like Co-Pilot, so I uninstalled it soon after buying it (nothing particularly wrong with Co-Pilot. It was just a question of personal taste, really)and for Christmas, I've bought another Windows Mobile-based GPS software and intalled it. So, now, depending on the situation and location I get to choose the one I want, as both run flawlessly. The screen is really vivid and brilliant. It has got a great definition, so you get to carry your GPS and effectively use it, wherever you go! Try to check out different GPS programmes (trial versions are commonly available) before you purchase the ONE(S) you like. Good Luck!

 • does the fone have garmin GPS ? email me [email protected]

 • i like the htc sense(htc interface) more then default windows interface bt can u tel me how to get rid of the clock completly?

 • I'm afraid I can't agree. I like this phone a lot! The battery's only average, I know, but that's only common these days: unfortunately big companies seek only big bucks! What's more, phones now have large colourful screens, different types of connections, GPS... so many feaures, and on top of it all, you mustn't forget, battery life will have to depend ALSO on its size and this is a comfortable, slim, really handy phone... As far as touuchscreen and messaging, if you've owned a slower\older phone, you'll find it much more responsive and quicker. BUT... If you're new to it, you'll probably start off by using the stylus most of the time and even getting wrong menus as you get used to it. Anyway, you'll have to consider that, whatever phone you choose. All 'Touchscreens' do require some getting used to, as it happened on the early days: we all had to get used to having to press key "1" three times on our first mobile phones' little keyboards just to get the letter "C". Remember that? The only thing that I still miss when I compare my TD2 to other models is the lack of a 3.5" audio jack. That would be a great addition and it's a shame HTC have let out such an important feature. "Try to play with one before you buy." There, I fully agree: If you can: Try before you buy. That is ALWAYS a great adivice! Good Luck with your phone!

 • Having owned three smartphones before means that I had certain expectations of the HTC TD2. It is fully specced and can do everything other smartphones can do. The catch comes in usability - in other words how easy is it to perform the different functions. The usability of this phone is VERY POOR! It is now lying in my cupboard and I bought a new battery to extend the life of my old smartphone. It is very difficult to select a contact from a list using the dynamic scrolling. You nearly always select a contact by accident when you scroll down to a contact low down in the contact list. There should have been a vertical scrolling section on the screen where you do not select but only scroll. The text entry mechanism leaves much to be desired. You have a very small window in which the text that you enter is displayed. You sometimes cannot scroll up to see what you have written as part of the current message. Try to play with one before you buy - else you may make a very expensive mistake. Like I did!

 • Can anyone who has bought the phone recently tell me whats the current price as of Feb 2010 in India?? I got a used one for about 15K

 • Best One..Best Buy

 • Hiii Friends... am planning to buy this phone.. i just need ur openion tht its good or not..

 • I put my ringtone file at storage card, why my sms ringtone cant found the ringtone ? when i put at my device at my documents then my ringtone file can found on my sms ringtone ...

 • can someone teach me how to play music ? when i create new playlist is it one by one select it o can select all of them add to my playlist ?

 • I couldn't agree more! As I've said before,it's a great reliable phone. It has great sound quality, video call, WiFi and Bluetooth! It is really handy, it's got a great screen and lots and lots of extra software available: GPS; games; applications; updates; ROMs, etc! What more could you ask for? What more could you need? * I know I would like a 3.5 mm audio jack!!! That IS the fault I find with this phone! * All in all, I am very happy with mine. And, being happy with my Diamond2, has got a BIG advantage: I don't feel tempted with all these new models coming out DAILY, and I don't miss any of its functions. (no, I don't need a flash, but I DO miss a 3.5 jack) Concluding, I sure don't feel the need for spending money on a new model... ... and that is always a good sign!

 • Excellent phone. For all you folks who have just bought the phone check out xda ... For all your touch diamond 2 requirements. Enjoy.

 • thanks, but when u say put the files into the windows directory of the phone.. which file in the windows directory? is it under documents and my ringtones?

 • go to settings/all settings, go to the personal tab then at settings&notifications and in the notifications tab u have a list for all the events where u can set the ringtone. keep in mind that for the sms ringtone u can't use an mp3 file, it has to be a wav file, so u have to convert the mp3 to wav. i almost forgot, put the file u want to use for ringtone in the windows dir of the phone

 • hey can anyone help me out? i just got my TD2, im trying to figure out how to use my mp3 song as personal ringtones n general ringtone?

 • Well, after updating mine I felt disappointed, not because of the battery or gps programmes, they all kept running just the same way, but because I've felt wm6.5 is basically a visual update, no more, no less. Let me answer your questions the best I can: 1- No problems during update. Make sure your battery's loaded and DO NOT disconnect the phone at any point during update. Basically, I've followed the instructions and the whole process went smoothly and without any problems. 2- I've got Igo and Route66 installed and they kept on running exactly the same way (no improvement whatsoever). 3- Although some people have mentioned it, I don't think the phone's got any slower. Try to see WM6.5 working on a TD2 and see if you like it.

 • If I can't get an upgrade to WM6.5, am I gonna miss a lot of things? Thanks in advance.

 • having the same problem too.. which to choose TD2 or Omnia2. But after reading loads and loads of reviews and comments, I think I'm going to get TD2. =]

 • This is an endless debate.... I too couldnt decide on the Omnia 2 or TD2 but in the end, the size, design and speed and dont forget Touch Flo 2 is just amazing! Read the reviews on the web, there are stax and make your judgement call, i did and Touch Diamond 2 rocks! I have no regrets

 • which one is better omnia 2 or diamond 2. . . .pls help

 • I couldn't agree more! 10/10 rating also, for all it does it does brilliantly! Wouldn't change it! *sigh* But, I do long for a 3.5 audio jack... *sigh* Best regards.

 • This has to be one of the best phones I have ever had!! If you want a flash, but a camera. If you dont like fingerprints, wipe it on you shirt. 10/10 for this phone, have has the TD2 for 7 days already and it's fast and sexy

 • Kindly tell me how to use Qwerty key board in landscape. It does not auto rotate even though it has accelerometer/ G-sensor

 • what is S2U2, how to blank the screen

 • what do u mean by ISU2 . How to keep blank screen? Secondly want to ask abt SMS, Can we save/transfer SMS to TD2 from sony handset...using My phone explorer. & in TD2 if sms length exceeds 160 char why it dnt come in one sms ... we cannot fwd same sms having more than 160 char. How to do ?

 • Moses i just wanna inform u that u r asking about completly 2 different phones, HTC TD2 is an internet business phone and Satio is a camera phone so it depends on what experince r u expecting if u like photographing ofcourse get the Satio as it has the outstanding 12.1 MP camera with xenon flash while the TD2 Camera is only 5 MP with no flash, but if u were expecting a phone to surf the internet and handle anykind of business OFCOURSE HTC TD2 which is the best ever in such things, hope I helped.

 • I've had mine for almost a year, now, without any problems. Battery life could be better, sure, but it's still better than many current models, and that is a sign that the phone has got a great screen resolution and lots of functions available, so I guess I won't complain. ;o) It's a great reliable phone. (no, I don't need a flash, but I DO miss a 3.5 jack) Concluding, I sure don't feel the need for spending money on a new model... and that is always a good sign.

 • Hi DP 1. Does the TD2 in India support Blackberry Connect? Why would you want a blackberry connect when you have a outlook client pre-installed. 2. I find the battery awfully bad. With Wifi, Bluetooth switched off and normal usage of upto 2 hrs, I need to recharge the battery? Any clues on how I can improve the battery performance. Hmmm... 1. Uncheck the Automatic backlight in Settings->Allsettings->System->Power 2. Reduce the backlight as per your requirement 3. Uncheck Automatic weather downloading 4. Where ever it's automatic download, remove it coz your GPRS / Edge will be running continously 5. Blank the screen when it is idle ( I use S2U2) 6. If you use wifi, bluetooth it does utilize battery 7. I would suggest you to download Diamond Tweek to tweek the battery performance. I get battery upto one to one and half day with GPRS / EDGE, 4 hours talk time, texting, mail, and IM usage. I makesure when i use GPS, it is connected to the car charger, coz GPS will drain out your battery very soon. I hope its helpfull.

 • the flow of the touch phone is very fast when i use the contact book.can i reduce the sliding speed

 • I can assure you it accepts 16GB as that's the capacity i have on my card which was recognised immediately and works flawlessly. I believe any device that is SD 2.0 Complient will work with upto 32GBA. That is why I believe it will accept 32GB cards, but I have not encountered any 32GB microsd cards for sale, yet. That is why I have a 16GB card which still has got plenty of "room". I leave you with a link to a Forum that may help you: Good Luck with your phone!

 • there is a strap hook. if u look on the bottom, next to the mini usb port, u will see a small opening. take the back cover of and behind that small opening it's a pice of plastic like a hook wich u use to conect the strap. after u conect the strap put the back cover back on and u'r good to go :)

 • hey im just wondering if there's a cellphone strap hook anywhere on the phone? i cant find one !

 • Thank You so much for this information. Can I know from where can i get this information to check or from where have you confirmed this information of external storage expansion.

 • None whatsoever! I really can say that is one of its main advantages: you get to walk/travel around with a handy, fully-operational GPS whenever you leave home with your phone. No need for a dedicated device anymore: I find that practical! :) As for the TD2, I really can't complain.

 • Cards up to 32GB are accepted by your D2. At the moment, the best deal is probably buying a 16GB. As for the bluetooth pass, that's actually excellent. Some BT pens come with a password like 1234, but I strongly advise you to personalise that password. Phones ARE vulnerable via Bluetooth, so be cautious and always use a safe personalised password whoever/whatever you connect to/with. Better safe than sorry.

 • this phone have any problem with GPS?

 • I think IE gets flash support in WinMo 6.5 doesn't it?

 • Does anyone know, what is the supporting capacity of external storage for Diamond 2. Secondly, my handset is asking for passkey while pairing with bluetooth headset. what is this passkey?. Thanks.

 • no issues to install battery life almost similar i.e. 80-90%

 • Well, after updating mine I felt disappointed, not because of the battery or gps programmes, they all kept running just the same way, but because I've felt wm6.5 is merely a visual update, no more, no less. Let me answer your questions the best I can: 1- No problems during update. Make sure your battery's loaded and DO NOT disconnect the phone at any point during update. Basically, I've followed the instructions and the whole process went smoothly and without any problems. 2- I have Igo and Route66 installed and they kept on running exactly the same way (no improvement whatsoever). 3- Although some people have mentioned it, I don't think the phone's got any slower. Try to see WM6.5 working on a TD2 and see if you like it. Regards.

 • hi!! i have the htc diamond 2 and i am really happy with it. i have windows 6.1 and i want to upgrade to 6.5. I have some questions though before to do that, if someone can help me. 1. Does anyone know if this new upgrade will have any problems, 2. if 6.5 support IGO 8 (gps navigation) and 3. if the battery life will be less? thank you

 • yes, it has,

 • I bought this model last week, but battery life time is good(about 2 days). I can talk at least 1h through, and quality is good.

 • Your Diamond2 does have SOME Internal Memory: 288 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM But, you are strongly advised to buy yourself a microSD Card: My choice was a 16GB card: the price-ratio was much better than going for an 8Gb card. The phone "accepts" the card without any problems. You may use to install GPS Software, Games and all types of applications, PLUS it will store your photos and videos! Good Luck with your phone!

 • don't buy this model sucks. Battery life lasted only 1 day standby with less than 10 minutes talk time.

 • No

 • Does it have internal Hard Drive? if not, i have to buy a micro SD card? i want a 8gb, does it exist?

 • no, that would be an imagio you are looking for.

 • I also REALLY like this phone. It's handy, it's got all the things you need, except... a 3.5 mm audio jack!!! The battery isn't all that bad. I remember having black & white phones with tiny screens, whose batteries lasted for... a week. But, those days are long gone and I've experienced several other brands and all batteries (at this level) are pretty much the same: If you want a slim, comfortable, "pocketable" phone, batteries won't be bulky and they won't last long, either... So, all in all, I am very pleased with my choice. It's not the best phone ever, but it does everything I need and I believe it won't have 'sighing' for a new one for a long time. And, in an era when "every day" a new model comes out, that is also very important! Enjoy your phone!

 • i'v been using this phon for 2 months it does for me no major issue yet plays flash, modrate picture just in day light, the battery is good and it works for 2 day and after it you must charging your phone again i think this is big disadvantage of this phone but realy this is good phone...good luck

 • Hi ! I have a question, does this phone support CDMA ? ( not GSM, but CDMA !) plzz I need someone to tell me !

 • you would need to hardspl it.(xda-developers.com)after that you will be able to install any rom. good luck.

 • Hi, I have a TD2 from Vodafone Germany however WM5 is only in German language and I don't seem to be able to change it. I have tried getting the ROM from the Australian website but when i enter my serial number it says the firmware is not compatible with my device. Any suggestions? Would be much appreciated!

 • u need to order a new digitizer online and follow the instructions to change it at xda-developers

 • the BB connect can be got from ur operator's site. for better battery 1. reduce brightness to min (disable auto option) 2. switch off wifi / bt when not in use try to get a bigger / addnl battery

 • I would advise you to use nodata: It's a free programme that allows you to block "undesired" gprs and wifi connections and only allow what you want to if you want to.

 • does anyone have a solution to stopping data from coming on automatically when all i want to do is use wi-fi. is there an app or something please help as this is the only issue i have with this phone. Its on w6.5 btw

 • Sorry, not legally, no... :(

 • I've been using this phone for almost 5 months now....It does it for me no major issues yet...plays flash, takes good pictures (in daylight). I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an elegant phone.

 • no it does not have multi touch

 • is this handheld is multi-touch LCD??

 • Is there a free version?? Luis

 • I am using it now. Thanks. But it seems to be look a like for advance config which i use before. Let see how the thing goes. I have disable the internet and wap / gprs setting. Only enable the MMS features only. Thanks again Luis

 • Is this it? Good Luck!

 • I would advise you to use nodata: It's a free programme that allows you to block "undesired" gprs and wifi connections if you want to. Sometimes, you install programmes (SPB Weather, for example) that automatically connect to your provider to update themselves and that DOES cost money. There are many programmes (even google maps and gps software) that, if unable to connect to the GPS signal, automatically connect via gprs and you end up paying data connections even without realizing it. Make sure it's not software on your phone that is doing it. Me? I use nodata (no ad intended), and I'm very glad with it... plus, it's free! :) Good Luck!

 • GOt a question. I have TD2 long time. Now i am winmo 6.5. Notice that recentlty, the data charges from my provider is too high. I have disable my 3G service from the phone and also using a tool called advance config. I just use wifi to connect to data. No idea why my provider can charge expensive. Any idea?? Luis

 • which phone got mp3 trimmer

 • Hello guy... anyone can tell which Hphone WM i want to buy?samsung omina2 or Htc D2...which better..i using lost for call and sms..at the sametime need for fun like game or otherwise...ex internet plz helpppp

 • Hey Guys, i droped my HTC D2 and the front glass broke, the L.C.D is still fine but the touch screen is broken, where can i get spears for my phone... I stay in South Africa if that will help

 • But if you listen music with the earphones ? has a normal quality of sound with the earphones ? plzz say ! :-)

 • I have a TD2 bought in India. I have two questions- 1. Does the TD2 in India support Blackberry Connect? If so, any link from where it can be downloaded? 2. I find the battery awfully bad. With Wifi, Bluetooth switched off and normal usage of upto 2 hrs, I need to recharge the battery? Any clues on how I can improve the battery performance.

 • No its not its normal

 • The phone does not have flash!!! and my pictures always turn out dark!!!Also its very hard to take pictures of yourself because there is is no dedicated camera button!!! Its also hard to send files to other phones becausen you have to send one by one!And to receive files you also have to accept each file indivisually which is very inconvienient. The phone is also very sluggish.

 • Its not very loud. The quality is sad and pathetic.

 • no.this phone has little FLASH support

 • This is a realy great phone,i would recomend it to anyone who wishes to purchase it!

 • It all depends on signal strength. You have to wait for the connection to be made which takes about one minute. Then, you mustn't forget that if you move and/or the wifi signal gets weaker for any reason, you may/will lose connection. That is not a specific phone problem. That happens with any phone as it does with your laptop. WiFi connections do go down, even at home, as they may "suffer" from all types of interferences. The Diamond 2 isn't particularly better than other WiFi capable phone... it's just that - at this point and stage - WiFi connections aren't that reliable (or safe, for that matter, but that would definitely be "Off Topic"). Best Luck with your phone!

 • Does this Mobile provide a Full flash Support on the Browser ( i mean to that U can stream videos online)

 • I had the same problem with SMS. Here is the solution: 1) Ask your operator for the SMS Message Center number. 2) In your phone go to: ALL SETTINGS:PERSONAL:PHONE:services(tab), then select Voice Mail and Text Messages, tap Get Settings button, once in enter your operator Message Center number. That's it. Enjoy!

 • which operator r u on? it is operator related and not cellphone

 • There are some places I can't get the internet service even though there is a free WFI on the go??? Any body can give me a hand??? plz.

 • I honestly believe the sound is as good as with other phones. You may select volume level as usual. I do not have it set to maximum level. I don't need it. Please, remember the OTHER phone influences the sound level and quality you receive in yours and MANY other factors such as LOCATION may severely interfere with a call reception and sound quality.

 • Check your service provider (the company that provides the line service) ask them for the SMS CENTER NUMBER

 • Hi ! I wanna buy this phone, I think it's amazing, but plzz tell me someone how is the speakerphone, has it a clear sound, and how loud it is ? I know it's not very loud, but just I wanna know if it has a clear sound ? plzz respond !

 • I have a htc diamond 2 ; I can receive sms but i cannot send sms . I went to the shop htc and they try to help by reset the phone but without succes. Can somebody help

 • reset ur phone to factory default

 • check if u have condensation spots on the screen. if yes, send it in to htc support. they will need to replace the digitizer. one of the known probs with d2.

 • I just got my HTC TD2. All I can say is it's the best phone I've ever used. It's very light-weight. 65K colors gives amazing clarity on screen. You can read books on this device - it's that clear and eye-friendly. TouchSense is as good as iphone and manila rocks. Must upgrade to WM6.5 from WM6.1. USB is amazingly fast. Camera with auto-focus works well. I strongly recommend this phone to everyone.

 • htc allows free wm6.5 upgrade to diamond 2.its very simple,u only have to follow the following steps 1.go to htc site 2.check for upgrades available(may vary depending on location) 3.select device and enter serial number(backside of d device, behind the battery) 4.download the upgrade file(152mb approx) 5.conect the phone via usb chord to ur pc,start the installation of the downloaded file. 6.within 15minutes,phone gets upgraded and it works simply superb,no hang,no problmes, evry thing is smooth..........i upgraded from 6.1 to 6.5 almost a month ago and evrything is working fine.

 • I want to update my t diamond2 to windows 6.5, is posible to download it direct to my phone? or by pc only? And how to do it? Thx.

 • here's a game website that have lots of fun games for download. all the games are wvga and are full screen and free. if anyone knows any other good game sites please reply.

 • No. Freezing isn't common at all. Although Windows Mobile has its limitations and - as it happens with windows based computers - an eventual restart/soft reset may be required. That is not an actual problem. Try to "test drive" a windows mobile phone. That way you'll know if you're able to get used to it.

 • Hi Friends I want to buy this phone and when i went through the comment i realise the problem that windows phone have which is freesing .is this phone have freesing problem...?and also sometimes on HTC touch screen don't respond .pls assist

 • T diamond2 and sonyericsson satio, which one is better?

 • Mine keeps working just fine. After upgrading to WM 6.5 *visual gimmick, basically :( * keeps same speed and overall performance (that is why I don't consider DOWNgrading!) All in all, a great MOBILE phone, with all functions I actually need: No flash? I don't care. I don't know of a serious competent flash in ANY phone, yet. No 3.5 audio jack? That IS something I DO miss and that is the only letdown I find in this phone. "Sizewise" it is Mobile, Portable & Handy. Simply perfect! So far, I have to say I'm pretty happy with mine! :) Best wishes JW HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!

 • Well...lets discuss more about this phone like good and bad experiences, the queries for compatibilities and errors can be searched for in xda-developers forum.

 • How do I install applications on this phone?

 • Dont U think that U r being Silly to talk about a Phone which might Get Released after at least 8 months from Now ,i Might become a Grandfa After 8 months , so Live Ur day and stop posting Stupid News .

 • nokia n920 is a 4.13" capacitive, super slim keyboardless mobile computer. coming 2010. follow after n 900.

 • sorry ive forgot to add some Other Links with a better Price: (this one looks better)

 • Greetings well, ive noticed that A Battery with 1100 mAh isnt that Good to Give U a Couple of Days on a Heavy Usage so while i was searching For a solution i did find one which is the Following: That Battery Has 2200 mAh (there is ALso 2600 mAh) which means it will stand for at least x200 the Life of the Original one. However,it has a Big disadvantage which is that U will have to Change the Back Cover of the Mobile to a bigger one which doesnt really look Cool, but some guys wouldnt Mind that inorder to Double the Life time of the battery Hope that would be useful :) bye

 • Remember, you're in the Diamond2 Opinion's Page/Forum. So, I guess you'll find people telling you either it's the best phone OR the worst phone ever. Of course, you'll also find people who are sincere and sensible and who will provide you with VERY valuable Data/Info on this phone. That's why I visit these pages on a daily basis. About the phone? I like it a lot. The battery's only average, I know, but that's quite common these days, unfortunately big companies seek only big bucks! Anyway, consider that whatever phone you choose. Touchscreens do require time as it happened on the early days, the first couple of times you had to press 1 three times on your phone's little keyboard just to get the letter "C". Remember that? The only thing that I still miss when I compare my TD2 to other models is the lack of a 3.5" audio jack. That would be a great addition and it's a shame HTC have let out such an important feature. A word of advice: If you can: Try before you buy. Good Luck!

 • thanks for replying! would u recommend diamond 2 for me? read some positive reviews but many negatives too: is the battery that awful? i mean would it last 24 without charging with 3 hours wifi/3g browsing, 3 hours music, 1 hour talking, 2 hours watching video and 2 hours reading/playing games? how is usability with WM and touchflu? i it fast enough? no much bugs and reboots? is it slow to type sms ? do u miss some certain keys and controls?

 • Audio Quality during video\audio playback: Good Audio Quality during phonecalls: Excelent Performance under WM6.5: The same as with WM6.1 Actually WM6.5 was quite of a disappoiment to me. Just more of the same with some visual colouringg and access to a "Market" where you basically get to see "MS only" software and spend your money on Microsoft's software and not anywhere else. As I tend not to approve of monopolies, I didn't enjoy the idea which, btw, is a straightforward copy of what Apple has been doing for a long time, now... Anyway, that is only my opinion, you might very well like it, so try to check it out on a shop or on someone else's phone, before you upgrade. That would be my best piece of advice. Season's Greetings!

 • I had a similar problem on my tv screen and I managed to solve it turning the tv off and UNplugging it for about 24 hours. I had a greenish blur on the top right part of the screen and it "demagnetised" after aboout one day completely shut off from all electrical power sources. I actually had to unplug it, but it worked. Maybe you can try to turn off your phone and remove its battery for a day or so and see if it will demagnetise. I sure hope it'll work! Good Luck & Merry Christmas!

 • and how is the WM 6.5 performance on diamoond 2?

 • how is the audio quality through the speaker? i noticed that it dosn't have 2 stereo speakers,, and can it play videos with wvga resolution?

 • Looking to purchase this phone for use in the U.S. Know of any reputable dealers online?

 • I had put my new HTC TD2 into a small purse with magnetic clipe to hold it for only half day but then I found a white circle in middle of its screen. I thought my new phone display might have been magnetised. What a pity for X'mas day. Dear all, please be alert in using purse with magnet.

 • What has SE created in Touch Screen Phone field??? Check it out : Compare this with, N97, N97 mini, N900, X6, 5800... I think Nokia phones offer more variety. And not to forget E71, E72 etc are eating into a market dominated by Blackberry, I don't think Nokia phones can be written off that easily. N900 is very good...

 • @ Raja: try www.freewarepocketpc.net fo r the apps you want. @ Asker: the HTC's speed is among the best I've seen on WinMo devices, but it depends on your network. I've got an HSDPA (enhanced 3G) connection which works really well.

 • No

 • Hey Guys, could U please tell me in General how is the Phone Speed , I mean that am abit worried since it has only 528 Processor Speed, however, it has a Good ram . thats why am wondering, is it Good and Smooth , or its abit a laggy ?

 • With All do respect to Nokia But they r still at the Beginning stage of the Touch Mobiles, they lack for the sensitivity, Nokia has Made a Great Success in Their E series E51,E71,E52,E72 r really Gorgeous but They Still needs about a Year from Now to be able to Make Good Touch Mobiles , Who Knows Maybe the X6 is gonna be fine but U still cant compare it to what SE Creates in That Field.

 • I want to download a n 'english dictionary'(free but full version) and also 'offline wikipedia' for my diamond 2 but i have no idea from which site shall i get it.Can anyone help me? Thank you!!

 • What N920...?

 • nokia n 920 is a real killer.

 • ...I mean killed by N900

 • X2 and X10... I think these phones will be exorbitantly priced. N900 seems a far better bet. X2, X10 are gonna be killer by Nokia N900.

 • Does This Phone Spoils Easily...like will it spoil or the screen will crack when drop.I tend to drop my phone lots of times and given this..what phone will be suitable for me.

 • Can the HTC Touch Diamond2 send and receive sms in chinese ? Please help. Thinking of getting one.

 • Well regarding the 3.5 mm audio jack, dedicate camera button Yah Ur right , HTC shouldnt have Ignored that in Their Mobile .however, the D-Pad trackpad isnt that Much Useful , The Scroll was really helpful in the Past but Not this Pad . Anyway,it Looks like U will have to wait for the X2 or X10 ;P or just go for the Diamond 2 becuz U will just crash that X1 in the wall after few days becuz its really Slow, But if U r from the Cold Blooded humans then that wont be a Big Deal but for me that would kill me

 • I am thinking about buying the HTC Touch Diamond 2 and I would like to know is the 32 GB memory card is compatible and certified for this device , anybody knows ? please help

 • Hi! Just bought my firts PocketPC - Diamond 2, and since I'm a total newbie I have some questions. Do I have to do some kind of a jailbreak in order to unlock it/use 3rd party software? If so, where can I get it? How do I install applications on my device? And at the end I would really appreciate some general advices regarding this device... THANK YOU!

 • This phone sucks, don't get it. It is really slow, I had a lot of issues with accidental calling. Texting on this phone is impossible, and i owned an iPhone before this and text really fast. Overall, this phone is terrible, get something else (I advise you)

 • I'm not sure how to answer that. I'm in India. Probably you should contact HTC or the dealer from whom you bought the phone. BTW, you get to the page link given in my previous post by selecting 'country' : Middle East & Africa Home - English. Middle East is a part of Asia so you can try Asia. Here's a link for the complete page for Touch Diamond2 - Middle East & Africa : .

 • thanx man, when i type in the serial of my phone it open the tab where i have to select the region, there is a europe 1 and europe 2,asia and usa, which one do i take for south africa? thanx in advance

 • Go Here : Enjoy...

 • Its not just about the keyboard... 3.5 mm audio jack, D-Pad cum trackpad, dedicate camera button, standard miniUSB port. Of course it has disadvantages like case cracks, but it seems like there's no perfect phone.

 • im from south africa btw, thanx

 • hi there, ive got the diamond 2,i want to upgrade it to wm 6.5, what region do i choose on the htc website? help much appreciated

 • Well dude, i would recommend the X1 if it wasnt slow but unforunatly it is pretty slow along with a prob called 'x1 crash' (google it) ,i love the UIQ phones from SE and they shouldnt have stopped them Anyway, the Diamond 2 doesnt have that prob even with the fact that it has the same processor clock and its smooth but if it had a full Qwerty it would be perfect but it doesnt so if U can handle that fact then U should go for it

 • I'm really confused between Xperia X1 and Touch Diamond2. Does anybody has an opinion about it? X1 is a lot cheaper. And I like its keyboard. I like Diamond2's looks and the larger screen even though it is larger than X1 by a very small amount.

 • I agree. I do not think it is any slower, but it isn't much of an upgrade. M$ keeps on thinking mostly about its stock holders. Maybe WM7 will be worthwhile. WM6.5? A marketing trick to keep consumers believing they're throwing out something new into the market. I think M$ is definitely afraid of Android! They're only trying to keep their customers hooked on their OS, they weren't worried about putting out a decent, quality, IMPROVED OS. Although I own a WM phone I hope Android will succeed in its true/original spirit and I wish I'll be able to take the leap.

 • Actually the upgrade doesn't slow our Diamond 2 and it doesn't shorten its battery life, either. I really like this phone, but I don't consider WM6.5 a great improvement. I do believe there are far better ROMs around. You just have to read this thread or 'google'. Enjoy your phone!

 • is good

 • go to the HTC website and go to the support section: i've already done it and got great results

 • If you want an upgrade to Windows 6.5 Check out xda developers forum or ppcgeeks(search it on google) I upgraded my Touch Pro from 6.1 to 6.5

 • Go here :

 • Good Morning...

 • i need the upgrade to 6.5 windows professional of the htc diamond 2

 • I want to download a n 'english dictionary'(free but full version) and also 'offline wikipedia' for my diamond 2 but i have no idea from which site shall i get it.Can anyone help me? Thank you!!

 • Hi,i purchased diamond 2 15 days ago,n m very much impressd by d phone,its superb,no doubt expensiv bt then it makes u feel ahead of others,haha..........

 • Beware guarantee clause, though. You may have to revert to your original rom, if you need to "activate" your guarantee. Anyway, I hope all goes well. I've had mine for more than a year now, and i am VERY pleased with it. The only thing i actually miss is a 3.5" audio jack. Other than that I AM very satisfied with my Diamond 2 and I truly recommend it as a competent, reliable phone which is still small enough to be called "portable".

 • install a different language rom. forum.xda-developers.com - > Topaz Rom Development. Good Luck

 • does anyone know how to change the language on the handset?

 • That is News. But still a resistive screen will not be capable of multi touch inputs hampering phone handling, probably supposed to be the most crucial selling point of WinMo 7. Also there is WinMo 6.5.1. Probably it will be some comfort.

 • Farhan, I hear WinMo 7 has options to set touch requirements to either Resistive or Capacitive. And I think Mircosoft has invested too much at this point with the heavy competition on WinmMo 7 to let it go down the drain ,like the Vista. As we Iranians say "a smart man doesnt get bitten by a mad dog ,twice"

 • Yeah, absolutely ... In the face of Apple's OS and Google's Android, Microsoft is under strain to maintain their market position. And about Touch Diamond2, it doesn't has a capacitive touch screen and this means WinMo 7's capacitive screen requirement can't be fulfilled by Diamond2. This approach by Microsoft is very similar to what they did to Xp computers by bringing out Vista. The only hope in future for resistive screen phone owners is that if somebody, probably at xda developers, bring out a skin imitating WinMo 7 like Xp Black did for Xp owners. And also we should hope that WinMo 7 doesn't fare like Vista did.

 • Difference between 2G and 3G... Well they are all about data download speeds. So if you use your phone for internet browsing over your network provider (and not Wi-Fi) the speed of data download will increase considerably provided : 1. Your network provider is 3G compliant 2. Your phone supports 3G 3. You have 3G activated on your mobile no. The speeds of 3G are in the range of 384 kbps to 10 Mbps. Diamond2 support maximum 7.2 Mbps. But the speed you'll get will be determined by your network provider according to your 3G data plan. 3G speed are also high enough to support videocall i.e. if the person you want to talk to has the above three requisite and plus he/she has a secondary videocall camera on his/her phone (which by the way Diamond2's 3G version has) you will be able to talk to them by looking at him/her on your screen and he/she will be able to do the same. Diamond2's non 3G (or as you call it - 2G) version (by the way, it should actually be 2.5G cause it'll still support EDGE) will not support increased download speed and video calling and plus they will remove the front facing videocall camera.(This is what happened to original Touch Diamond here in India, cause we didn't had 3G then.) P.S. If you are wondering about EDGE, this data transfer technology (also called as 2.5G) supports speeds upto 236.8 kbps, but does not support video calling.

 • what's the difference between the 2G version of this phone and the 3G version?? Buying the regular 2G version of the phone is much cheaper. The 3G capable version of this phone is a lot more expensive. But is the price worth it?

 • I agree with you. WinMo 7 is supposed to be a giant leap for windows devices, and its a pity it wont work on this babe with the current hardware. Maybe thats one reason why the price is decreasing on daily basis.

 • Seize the Day! Who knows how wm7 will be like? and what will it bring? No one knows, no one can tell. So, Enjoy your phone... now. Who knows what tomorrow will bring? Besides, there are always great people from sites like who will most definitely bring us all the advantages of wm7 to our Diamond2! For the time being, enjoy all the potential of your TD2 and have a Great Holidays Season! Season's Greetings!

 • It breaks my heart when I think about the fact that this cute phone cannot be upgraded to WinMo 7 when it'll be out... It has already lost selling value. Breaks my heart... It looks similar to N91, does anybody else thinks so.

 • hmmm the screen!?!?!??!

 • the phone's batery life is very bad.i need to charge my phone evry 24hour.poor3...with minor use,i need to recharge the battery.izit normal for the phone battery life last for 1 to 1 n a half day only? other then that, this phone is great. just the battery life is annoying. my previous n82,n85 can last 4 days with same usage.

 • complete all the alarm setting and if u dont hear the alarm sound, then the phone's sound setting u hv to increase ( which increase the phone sound while using ) tapping volume, u get 2 bars, rignt one is for ringing and left u hv to increase for more sound alarm

 • Try this also : setting--->personal--->sounds & notifications--->tick the 2nd and 3rd box

 • Like all other WinMo, the alarm does not sound when the device is off. Make sure you are not shutting down the phone.

 • I got mine for about 540 US $

 • If you've done everything "by the book" and the alarm doesn't ring, then there is probably something wrong with your phone. But... are you sure you've chosen ringtones that are capable of waking you up? Are they loud enough? Try to set them for like 3 minutes later and make sure they ring OR NOT and try to examine why. Maybe, you're missing something that has a simple solution. Anyway, here are some free alarms you can install: There are several paid ones. You may find them all over the Net. Good Luck!

 • What is the lates HTC Touch Phe? What is the cost of HTC Dimond 2 ?

 • My alarm doesnt work, I have tried everything, hard reset and soft reset, but still nothing. I have woken up late a number of times for work and even missed important meetings. How do I fix this issue? Is there a 3rd party alarm software I can download. Please I need any suggestions to help me fix this little issue!

 • got a problem here. i changed my home modem. everything works fine with the connection for my computer, laptop, iphone.. but can i know why my diamond2 cannot connect to the wifi?? Luis

 • Choosing a phone is a personal decision and nobody can help u, specially since both your choices are infact very good devices( i have tried both ). This is what i can tell u: Diamond 2 is more business oriented. Iphone appeared more like a gaming console to me. Both are great devices

 • Seriously man don't fall the iPhone trap. One positive of Diamond2 that is right in the face is the 5mp camera. But there are some positives of iPhone that are unsurpassed even today. Touch screen is one of them. Basically there is nothing that iPhone can't do apart from taking 5mp snaps, making a video call etc (you can find a complete exhaustive list throughout the web) but WinMo also is capable of doing everything. If you do not like the charm of Touchflo but are keen on easier handling of the phone via better touch sensitive capacitive screen and an OS that has been designed for such a handling and you don't case about the super smart features offered by WinMo than you can in ahead and get yourself an iPhone. I want to say once again, there is nothing that iPhone can't do (apart from the above mentioned obvious). Also do check the GSMArena forum for the iPhone you're gonna buy.

 • Trust me , I h've got nothing against Iphone. That just isn't my choice. Why? Partly because I've got a 16GB card in my TD2 and besides videos and photos, GPS software and other Apps I've got more than 20 games installed! That's right: I, too, love games. And that was one of the reasons I chose this phone: Thanks to "JBlend" you've got JAVA games (as in any other non-wm phone). Besides, you've got TONS of games for WM. Check these sites: Or simply google "Pocket PC" or "Windows Mobile" + GAMES. Anyway, if it's an Iphone you wish, I honestly hope you get one and feel happy with it. My best advice keeeps on being "Try before you buy!" Take an informed decision so you won't regret it later. Good Luck!

 • That's y i wish to exchange to iphone, only see iphone game so nice & 3D,and my friend ask me sell her my diamond 2 too.And i got consider also , if i sell her my diamond , which one phone i should to buy ? so ask u all opinion... anywhere thanks alot... ^^,

 • hi, thanks ur opinion . actually that's why i wish to exchange only for gaming.

 • Ppl get yourself a HP, leaders in world technology. HTC from what I hear from friends is that itr is rubbish, drop it once & its a goner.

 • i was on iphone 3G and now on diamond2 its better than iphone 3G

 • Why does he recommend you to change to Iphone? Is he really a friend indeed? What problems have you got with your Diamond2? What does the Iphone have that the Diamond2 hasn't got? What does the Diamond2 have that the Iphone hasn't got? These are the questions you must ask yourself. Change? Sure! But, always for better! Don't you think so?

 • Try out both phones and then - only then - make your decision! Both phones have pros and cons and none of them is as good as any fanboy might want you to believe. Remember, not all opinions are sincere and unbiased. Some may even want you to buy a phone, because they may very well be... sellers/dealers... Have you ever thought about it? Why are there so many individuals here who are only interested in making you buy a specific brand? They must be after something... probably (Y)OUR MONEY! BEWARE!!!

 • I think you should move to Iphone 3gs they have so much more than Diamond 2

 • Yes, but battery backup drops. Consider once and then decide.

 • now i'm diamond 2 user , my friend recommend me exchange to iphone 3gs . any suggestions ? Thanks.

 • Hey guys, I have a HTC Touch Diamond 2 which is running in WM6.1, should i just upgrare to WM6.5?? Any comment?

 • hi i want to know : 1)how is the battery life? 2)how is the sound quality? i read it some where the speakers are mono 42 channel. is it true? if any thing else anybody knows about it which is useful i'm interested to hear about it. Namaste!

 • =) I already did. good-looking interface, a little more comfortable for finger-control... thank you!

 • YES!!! I suggest you upgrade. Remember its a very sensitive process. My advise is you use a fully charged laptop to upgrade your device, because in case of a power failure of any kind, your device will be unusable. Cheers

 • HI all, What is the general consensus on the comparison between this HTC and the Nokia 5800 (aside from cost) in terms of durability, functionality, interface, features. Which would you recommend?

 • non of them, but the nokia 920. o k . smart choice. just wait.

 • hi all I'm in doubt what mobile to buy from the following either Samsung i8910 HD or Samsung B7610 or HTC HD2 or HTC Touch Diamond 2 or HTC Touch Pro 2 or Sony Satio. Can you please help me? thanks

 • try HTC support... maybe they know. I synchronize only with XP/7... works OK

 • I'm going to buy whether this phone or touch 2. Any suggestions?

 • would you advice me to do this?

 • Undecided? Try before you buy! That's the best advice I can give you. I didn't go for the iPhone as I believe that - as a PPC/PDA - it is too little for too much. I believe branding and clever advertising keep creating LARGE profits to these large corporations / companies. But, that sure does NOT mean I'm right. It just means that - for the time being - I'm pleased with my choice. I sure hope you will be too!

 • Hi. I'm thinking of getting this phone. Can any users give me a review on this? Is it worth to get this phone for? I'm talking about the life span of this phone. Is it up for frequent servicing? Thanks!

 • I am really so confused between iphone 3G and this HTC diamond 2 .... Any help???

 • Maybe you sould atart off by using the stylus just until you get the hang of it. Texting needs some pactice. At first you mistype, you miss the names/contacts you want to select and you even miss the programes you want to select. After some time, you'll have mastered it all! I know find strange how unprecise and wrong I used to be. At end of the day, it all comes down to the old saying: Practice makes Perfect! As with most things in life, the more you practice, the better you will become...

 • Using contacts menu is very difficult as the letters are so small. Really annoying how wrong entry means going back to the start rather than the same alpha position selected. Too sensitive to touch and always selecting wrong contact while scrolling. Any fixes anyone?

 • thanks for the information. waiting for the asia software... Luis

 • ACtually, you can BUY any software you like: Route66, NDrive, TomTom... it's up to you really... But HTC does provide you with: HTC Touch Diamond2 CoPilot (Free 15-day Trial) on: Or you can check your local HTC webpage and search under "Support". CoPilot GPS Software is there for you to download. (and eventually purchase if you end up liking it!) Good Luck! :)

 • i forgot, i also have 14 days trial version Copilot navigation now also

 • I upgraded my TD2 to win 6.5 which i got from HTCpedia. Cons: 1-slower processing speed 2-more battery consumption 3-the windows logo on top left corner of the screen is now black and white.lol Pros: 1- the icons below the screen are now in color 2- the temperature of my current location is now on my home screen under the clock 3- I really cant be sure , but appears the screen is brighter than when it was 6.1 4- i have facebook now Remember your device has to be for the eurpoean markets to be able to upgrade. For asian markets the upgrade is not yet available. you can get the new ROM here :http://htcpedia.com/news/official-topaz-wm6_5-rom-upgrades.html

 • One Q: How do we use the GPS feature on the phone. I mean where can one buy the subscription from?! Thanks in advance.. and BTW i have the phone for 5 months now and it is great!

 • Thanks for the MAC help everyone!

 • Thank you!

 • hi every1, i've been using this phone for 3 months now and i've noticed that the call history is only for 12 to 15 days. i thought the call records is "Practically unlimited". this there a solution for this? thanx.

 • hi besa i have ur problem too what did you do in such situation

 • can any1 tell me how to copy files from my storage card to my phone?i wan to use theme n picture n music from my storage card bt i cant xfer it out im new in mobile window pls any1 help ty^^

 • How to sync your Windows Mobile phone to your Mac You can WATCH it here:

 • Another programme that allows you to sync ANY WM phone with a Mac.

 • Yes, it is possible to sync a TD2 - or any windows mobile phone - with an Apple/Mac. Try to google for more precise info, but you will only need specific software. Just take a look: www.simplehelp.net/2008/08/29/how-to-sync-your-windows-mobile-device-with-your-mac/ www.sync-mac.com/ And many others, really, just "google" it: Hope it helps! :)

 • If you have the chance to get it originally with the latest OS, then, I believe that's the way to go! :) Remember, for most of us, upgrading implies losing/reinstalling all phone content and most of prevoisly/already installed software. And THAT is a definite drawback...

 • I would suggest reading reviews and honest/unbiased opinions as there are both pros and cons in that change. WM6.5 is brand new a. It's got a nicer user interface (UI), but it may make your phone slower... For the moment, you won't miss much by keeping WM 6.1, but I would download it and store it for brighter days... Maybe future software will require or take noticeable advantage of WM6.5. Me? I haven't changed. But that doesn't mean I'm right...

 • =( =( my touch screen damaged coz of the humidty .. its so bad =S .. i'v 2 change the touchscreen wiz new one .. am in egypt and its winter now .. and alot of rain and humdity .. should i keep the phone or sell it and buy another one ? plzzz help me .. coz i rele like my td2 .. but am afraid it damage again

 • Cant help but ask again...Does anybody know if i can sync my TD2 with a Macintosh and how? Thnx in advance...

 • ohh. Ok. Thxs anonymous, was worried coz it didnt mention about micro sd HC-. Betw, u think its better to stay with Wm 6.1 rather than 6.5 rite ?

 • BTW: microSD 2.0 is micro SD HC I'vwe been running a Class 2 16MB Sandisk since day one and no problems.

 • MICRO SD HC (High Capacity), of course. That's is why you can get a 32GB card!

 • Hello..Does anyone know if i can sync this phone with a mac?(Contacs especially) THNX!

 • Hey, But is it Micro SD HC compatible or only micro sd ??

 • Hello , TD 2 users, I have a simple question, does this phone support MICRO SD HC ??? If not, what is the maximum that you use as micro sd . Plz anyone reply-- Important-

 • has anyone noticed how much this phone looks like the zune hd?.....

 • does someone know if this phone would support windows mobile 7 when it will be released

 • i want to get a3100 ?

 • i've also upgraded to wm6.5, its not much of an improvement, i like some of the little changes like the start menu and the scroll bar etc, mine hasn't slowed down as much it just takes up more memory so i have to restart the phone every so often, i mean the memory usage is at 60% average, if i write a text it moves to 64%. with 6.1 it was in the 50%'s. one more thing, you sure TD2 will get an upgrade to wm6.5.1? many sites are saying that TD2 and TP2 will not be getting the upgrade, only the HD2 will. although i am looking forward to it cos it looks better with many changes.

 • The phone is great. Had it for a while. Waited for W6.5 and yesterday i upgraded it. In two words: Slow, Avoid. I reverted back to W6.1 and i will test W6.5.1 and if it's not good i will wait for WinMo7. The phone is perfect with 6.1 And for those who do not beleive, please test it yourself and will find out.

 • Thank you!

 • 21869.5.0.82

 • i upgraded to wm6.5 yesterday but am rather disappointed with both HTC and M$. the touchflo is the same apart from a few minor changed, its not like getting a really new version (something like that on HD2) they have only added a bit of colour to it. also M$ took this long on just adding the honeycomb start menu and the home screen? (i use touchflo so dont even need M$ homescreen). i mean they could have gone a little further and given us what they are planning to release early 2010 (wm6.5.1), or instead forget about wm6.5 and focus their resources on wm7, that way it won't have been delayed cos i dont think we'll see wm7 till this time next year, which is a shame.

 • is europe upgrade of hd2 wmo6.5 compatible with hd2 asia pacific? tnx!

 • Anyone, any idea about the WM6.5 build?

 • Couple of things i observed with the wm6.5 upgrade. 1. The start button brings up the regular winmo programs and not the touchflo3d programs list. 2. 5% slower compared to wm6.1

 • Hi Captain! How are you? You saw the specs of the SE Xperia X10? What is your opinion about that phone?

 • can any one help me which one is the best, this mobile or touch HD ???

 • ANGEL I'm yet to get my hands on this phone (December upgrade on contract) but with my current phone that has Windows Mobile 5, you need to go to Start -> Programs -> Modem Link and hit activate before you can use it as a modem. Best Activate before you plug it into the PC, then Windows should automatically install the modem drivers if you are online. A

 • is it worht buying this with wm 6.5 ???

 • Thks 4 the info! :) What about it? Is WM6.5 really worthwhile? Did you have any problems REinstalling programmes and/or applications on your phone? Did anyone experience any compability problems? Thank you and Good Luck!

 • Hi Captain! How are you? You saw the specs of the SE Xperia X10? What is your opinion about that phone?

 • The official window mobile 6.5 update is out on the HTC Europe site for this phone.

 • The official window mobile 6.5 update is out on the HTC site for this phone.

 • Check out this link How to dry a wet phone Instructions Difficulty: Easy Things You'll Need paper towels or refrigerator or TV or vent or car dashboard or plastic container filled with dry rice or cat litter or compressed air in a can or a hairdryer >>>(10 Steps follow)

 • Well, I'd wait for a few days, but I don't think there's much you can do. Don't overheat it, try to dry the battery and keep the phone and its battery in a warm dry place... Do NOT plug it in if it's wet, but... don't be too optimistic. I've lost a phone because of water. But that one fell completely into the water. It remained underwater for a few seconds. And no one would fix it... I still have it as a souvenir, but it has never worked again... Maybe you will be luckier. I hope so! Good Luck!

 • Hey .. i'v got a prob. wiz ma htc D2 i think a drop of water in my touch screen .. and the mobile dosnt work .. (i mean the touch ) is it a big prob. ? or i can fix it ..

 • This phone is not THAT bad! Actually, if you've got a faulty phone you should hurry to the shop where you've bought it and replace it. Most shops will even refund you within the first 15 days if you return your phone in its box will all its accessories... The TD2 it's not THE Perfect phone, but is there A Perfect Phone? It has no 3.5 audio jack, that's - IMHO - its main fault, but... It's got great sound quality quality both as a phone as as a multimedia gadget. I've bought a 16Gb card and am very happy with it so far. I still have about 9Gb free and... I've loaded that card... GPS software (which came included w the phone), games and applications, mp3s, movies... you name it! It's very handy - literally - it fits your hand and I find it finctional, elegant and discrete. Of course, others will much rather have an IPhone or a non-Windows Mobile device, a better (and necessarily, bulkier) battery or a larger screen (making it a larger phone)... That's just fine. That's what the world's all about: DIFFERENCE, RESPECT & TOLERANCE!

 • Check www.htc.com ... regularly... Their site has already got the update (WM6.5) to the Touch Pro 2 phone ready to download. I believe the same will happen soon to "our" Touch Diamond 2. Meanwhile, don't forget to backup your phone's data as the installation of the new Rom will erase all data on your phone.

 • when will i be able to upgrade it to Windows Mobile 6.5, and how? Thanks

 • Gawie, Nashua Mobile do not manufacture the HTC handsets, how can you hold them responsible for a manufacturing fault? Have you tried reading the manuel?

 • You're in the Diamond2 Opinion's Page/Forum. So, I guess you'll be finding a lot of people telling you either it's the best phone OR the worst phone ever. Of course, you'll also find people who are sincere and sensible and who will provide you with VERY valuable Data/Info on this phone. That's why I visit these pages on a daily basis. About the phone? I like it a lot. The battery's only average, I know, but that's quite common these day... unfortunately big companies seek only big bucks! The only thing that I still miss when I compare it with other models is the lack of a 3.5" audio jack. That would be a great addition and it's a shame HTC have let out such an important feature. A word of advice? If you can: Try before you buy!

 • i'm getting one soon. can any owner pls confirm its a good phone? thank u

 • u shld have an option to select internet sharing when u connect to the comp. does that not work?

 • Hi Viz, Yes I know how to use active sync to syncronise phone contacts, files etc with the PC - but I need to access the internet on the PC using the phone as a modem. Regards Angel

 • Scrolling your fone book, device select a number by itself and dial it. Same happen when trying to load a program on the front page. Don,t know if it is malfuctioning, think so. Don't get any support from Nashua mobile, they are the worst company!!!

 • hi, i just wan to ask whether i can use my own music (e.g. mp3) for alarm alert? if yes, how to do it?

 • yes, known as at&t pure.

 • when u connect ur cell to the comp u get an option to connect as active sync. once this is done just start internet sharing appln and u shld be fine. also refer to the user guide.

 • yes,

 • depends on what u use the phone for. Featurewise and all almost same. One is winmo and the other apple. decide based on need and os.

 • hey guys.. I have Diamond2.. and i know that i'm eligible for free upgrade for WinMo 6.5.. but i dont know how or when.. any help? thx

 • izzit this phone battery no enough for 1 day? i was check with htc center they told me that.

 • Tap the signal intensity bar on today screen. Then select again in system status screen. Tap settings in the little balloon (bottom left) Select services (bottom) Choose Call waiting and tap "get settings" This loads the current settings from the phone company. Edit the option. Hit Ok. You can try to get settings again to check your changes. Good luck.

 • This is the reply I got when I asked HTC that same question... WHEN? "Hello HTC have now announced which HTC phones will be shipped with the 6.5 Rom version plus which phones will be getting the free upgrade. HTC HD2 Touch2 Touch Pro2 Touch Diamond2 The updates for the Diamond 2 and Touch Pro two, we expect to have on the HTC Europe site very soon in the support section. Please note that these updates are not for Branded handsets. If the above steps do not resolve your issue, we invite you to visit the support area on our Web site. Please go to: Or you can go to: select your country and then click on the Support tab. You can also call our Call Center at: +44-845-890-0079 if you have further questions. Best regards," I guess it means we'll still have to wait a while... :(

 • Hi need some help finding the Windows 6.5 for my diamond 2 any suggestions?

 • check if your operator supports it first.

 • Choose settings->All settings->Connection Tab-> then choose the "connection Setup", check if your operator shows up and then tap next or what ever is on the lower right of the screen, now try the instruction you went through before..

 • You just have to "load" the .wav file of your choice into the "windows" directory of your phone where all other sms sounds (.wav) can be found. You just have to connect your TD2 to your computer and "drag 'n' drop" your faourite music/sound as long as it is in .wav format in order to be able to choose it as sms ringtone. • Mine hasn't got any handwriting recognition software included. If that's the case you'll need to purchase (install) that software. Here are some examples: "Google" and you shall find.

 • I Have TD from a month, and i realy enjoy it but I don't know how to use - "Handwriting recognition" any suggestions?

 • Captain, i think you post too much of same reply here. LOL But you are really a helpful guy. Thanks Luis

 • yes, you can once it is officially available.

 • Read my 2 previous posts in reply to Luis.. :)

 • pls advise were can i get update for windows 6.5....

 • Read the Hard-SPL guide in xda-developers carefully.. HSPL is only to unlock, its not a ROM.. After Unlocking it then you can flash a cooked ROM.. I assume you still have your original ROM.. Otherwise explain in details about your problem..

 • To Captain Falcon, PLZ help , have downloaded HARD SPL rom (Topaz-HardSPL_V3_01R2.zip) from xda-developers, Now have problem with emails, They dont upgrade on home screan i.e on htc menu. What to do, to remove Hard SPL and from where to reload the original company ROM.

 • It's all upto you either wait or flash a cooked Rom, in the end the cooked rom is always better, faster and more stable.. i've been using windows 6.5 on my touch HD since March now.. ;)

 • Thanks Captain. Let me go through it first. I am still dumb about ROM, etc... Hard for me to install myself because in case there is something wrong, i dont know how to fix it. I did ask the shop, they told me that they can only help to install WM 6.5 for me once it launch. Means they will only install the official one. They did promise that they wont change me anything. Luis

 • Maximum howmany time can exist with battery backup when playing music in offline mode?

 • htc touch diamond will support memmory card being 32gb?

 • First i don't think you can go to a shop and talk to them about unlocking the phone to upgrade.. You have to do it at home.. You can only do that if you have official upgrade.. Manila 2.6 is still having bugs, i tried to put up with it but i got bored, plus 2.1 is much faster and much easier to access things.. So until the 2.6 is fixed you ought to stick with 2.1. If you wait till October you'll be able to upgrade your D2 to Windows 6.5, manila 2.1 freely from htc.com, but if you want a cooked rom you have to read through the threads below: Unlocking: Cooked Roms: Manila 2.1 Manila 2.6

 • but how can i receive the caller name ???

 • I really no idea on how to install the new WM 6.5 and also Touch Flo Manila 2.6 to my D2. I plan to go to the shop soon to help me out on the upgrade. Captain, i want to ask few thing: 1) After the upgrade, will the email is getting better like able to send out? My D2, i can only received and not sending. I knew some of the expert here teach me on how to fix it. But i didnt do that. ;-p 2) Will the WM 6.5 and also Touch Flo Manila 2.6 makes the D2 hung or lack of anything? 3) Any advantage and disadvantage after i upgrade it? Thanks Luis

 • Every phone that has Windows 6.5 can have the update in February, it's an update for windows, not for your phone.

 • Hi, i am excited by the upcoming upgrade to WM6.5 on my D2, but I have also been keeping an eye on the constant new builds for an improvement in WM6.5 scheduled for Feb 2010. Back in Feb this year when the D2 was announced they said it will get a free upgrade to WM6.5, but its only a few months ago that MS said it was to split WM6.5 in half with a further upgrade coming in Feb 2010. With the Diamond 2 I get a free upgrade to WM6.5 next month but does anyone know if it will get an official upgrade in Feb 2010? Many Thanks.

 • How and where is you get the upgrade and install it? did unlock your phone using HSPL?

 • How to install windows 6.5 on TD2?

 • Hi Mr.Falcom, I tried upgrading the Windows file as i am having windows vista on my computer. The setup successfully started but as the setup was about to complete it suddenly stopped. and this has been happening continously. Also is there any facility to drag and drop songs or video files in HTC TD2? Looking forward for ur reply. Thanks.

 • With pleasure. :)

 • The Diamond2 accepts up to 32Gb cards. As I haven't found any, I bought a 16Gb card and am very happy with it so far. I still have about 9Gb free and I've loaded that card... GPS software (which came included w the phone), games and applications, mp3s, movies... you name it!

 • which size of memory should I buy? I want to install the maximum size. how can I install other languages for SMS

 • from the specs here i found that no Camera Flash for D2, is it a serious problem??? and how can unlock my D2 because it locked for the Vodafone network only?? thanks in advance

 • Thank u Mobielmaster

 • If the battery was the problem, you done a good thing. Actually I want to tell you something, when you buy a phone, check if is charging, or not, on 2005 I bough an K700i from SE, and I had problems with it. The second important thing, you have to see where was built the phone, and is not a copy. I am not Captain Falcon, but I want to help you, have a good day. :)

 • Hi Captain Falcon..... I bought an HTC DII couple days before..unfortunately I am facing troubles with it????!!!! The device turned off completely ,so I have to remove the battery ,replace it again and everything goes perfect.... Would pls. give ur opinion about it... Thanks

 • Yes, touch the area you want to focus on, otherwise autofocus..

 • dose this phone have Touch focus cam?

 • You can have a cooked 6.5 ROM.. You have to unlock the phone first. Don't worry it's safe and its recommended more than having an official ROM. - It's updated - More Stable - Faster - More free RAM & ROM - More Features Check here: And choose any 6.5 Roms (Dutty & Energy RECOMMENDED)..

 • No need for syncing.. We're not using iPhone here.. :P Just drop songs in the SD card and then go to media player and (open file) then choose the folder you wanna play.. Regarding Touch Flo3d music player i don't use it much but its working fine, i choose by artist by album.. Are you sure songs are mp3? not realplayer format?

 • i tried the hard reset and it seems to have solved the problem. i was just worried about ruining my device, first winmo phone i've owned so wanted to be careful with it. Thanks for your help, its much appreciated.

 • hi there.. how can i get windows mobile 6.5?

 • The one thing that I would recomend is to fit a screen protector. This does not influence the touch caoability at all.

 • Thnks Captain... i will check for the tweaks... i wanna know-if we transfer music files by sync with windows media player its working and if i just copy paste the songs into a folder the Music player in the 3D flow hangs and gives error is it a prob with my mobile or a default with HTC TD2

 • Thanks VIZ... i figured out that the music will play only if i transfer files by SYNC with windows media player on my PC.. is it so with everyone

 • I'm not sure a windows mobile device is developed for dust and rain.. Its for office use and on the move.. But hTC's build quality competes with the Nokia anyway, so you don't have to worry about this matter, In the end its up to you..

 • I just want to ask those of you who have been using the TD2 for a few months: How does it stand up to wear + tear ? How well does it take being dropped now + then, also I work in a very dusty environment and have to answer calls in the rain sometimes. So far I've been a Nokia user + have found that they stand up to these conditions perfectly - I love the features of the HTC TD2 - but what's the use if the phone is just gonna break ? Please tell me your stories of hoe your HTC survived.

 • Hard reset will restore your phone to factory settings, not windows settings.. Factory = hTC Don't worry TouchFlo will stay there..

 • Regarding forwarding music there is a tweak somewhere where you shake the phone Right it will go to the next song and if you shake left it will go to the previous one.. Also if you shake the phone upwards it will increase the volume and if you shake down it will decrease.. Search google for it.. There are also more options like if you shake twice or three times up, left, right or down you get various things..

 • Don't forget to uninstall the previous Landscape programs you installed then install Flip It.. Regarding forwarding music there is a tweak somewhere where you shake the phone Right it will go to the next song and if you shake left it will go to the previous one.. Also if you shake the phone upwards it will increase the volume and if you shake down it will decrease.. Search google for it.. • you mean a hard reset? i really dont want to have to perform a hard reset if theres a chance i could ruin my device. also with winmo6.5 coming in a couple of weeks i might wait for that since with the diamond 2 i get a free upgrade, maybe that will solve the problem. also with hard reset, would i lose the touchflo 3d? i know it wipes out all programs or apps you've installed.
