I have completed 2 years by today 21/8/2015. Very good device from Huawei. It's serving me well without any problems. Still getting almost 1 day battery life. Dropped more than 5 times in 2 years and didn't got any serious dents or cracks because of its light weight. Very handy and easy to hold phone i have ever used. The only problem is low headphone volume. Other than that it shines on all other departments. Still using with stock ICS. Very much satisfied with HUAWEI.

Hi, i have been using this phone for almost 2 years now and till now am very satisfied with its performance. but recently i am facing serious connectivity problem, like if i talk for more than about 10 to 15 mins, the call drops and then the network disappears and it re-registers to the network. The back cover does come off. First remove the small screw located under the micro sd lid. You can buy special tools for opening phones. Or use something very thin and strong. Insert between lower screen edge frame and cover. Gently work your way around. Carefull not too lose volume, power and speaker grill when cover is removed. As these iteme can and will fall away from back cover. The battery will be exposed. Battery is held in with double sided sticky tape. Remove two screws holding down silver shield. Lift up a fraction to be able to remove battery plug. Putting back together is just the reverse. Goog luck.

I've found the best ROM to be Spanorg's LiquidSmooth 3.2 KitKat ROM (2014-08-21-viva-ext) it does wonders for this phone, latest video drivers. Everything is working, no real showstopping bugs. You can get the radio working, bluetooth, wifi hotspot in a custom 4.4.4 rom. I think the only con/downside is the headphone volume is a little low, however I have headphone amps handy and it seems easy enough to investigate a solution. I've tried all the ROMS for this phone, MOKEE, CM, Chinese firmwares. Nothing tops it for battery and smoothness. I use smartassv2 governor, sio or cfq for scheduler, -25mV or -50mV under voltage and lower 236MHz frequency as the lowest, with 1026MHz highest when I want to conserve power. Battery Saver is on and 236MHz set for max when display off (also turning off gps, wifi and data while killing apps). Otherwise just turn it on interactive and enable 1500MHz max and phone still doesn't use a great amount of battery until you start running games like that. I've you have an Ascend P1 and you aren't scared of flashing and possibly bricking it go visit ascendp1.altervista.org for latest rom news dedicated to this phone.

Been using P1 for couple years. Have flashed many roms. And have experienced same regarding phone going into sleep mode. But it always wakes up when required. This is to save battery. So don't worry.

Try re flashing 4.1.1 again. If problem persist. I advise to use correct downgrade rom. To downgrade from jellybean back to ics. Use B229 or B105 etc.

Hi, this is the official English firmware with no radio: The Official firmwares beyond this is all Chinese so you break more things than you fix (Eg, GooglePlaystore) Don't know about the unofficial firmwares.

Downloaded official firmware (b315), got no radio. Went on to install B710, no playstore and backup recovery option. Some weird chinese store with no English option. Think its best to stay on ICS. Anybody know if the B229 firmware have radio and mhl for ICS.

You can download&install the official firmware (emui1.5+ver4.1.1) on the official website or other unofficial releases which you can find on the internet. It is not easy to update and a little bit risky. If you follow the instructions, there will not be a problem. After you install the official firmware, you will also have the fm radio.

The internet browsing speed, graphic quality and all other features are functioning well.Like all other smartphones,however, performance does also depend on the memory and overloading your mobile with apps you never use. I still find it as the bargain it was when I bought it.

Adding on because I forgot to mention: When I said the camera was great, I meant the BACK CAM only. AF and HD video is great. But the front cam is really bad. After half a year - one year, the front cam became very foggy possibly because of the dust accumulating INSIDE the lens. No amount of wiping can get it off, unless you prise the screen off and give it a good wipe. Which is virtually impossible. The pics taken with front cam are really bad. Take note for ppl with selfie addiction.

I've been using this phone for close to two years now. Recently changed phone. I wouldn't recommend getting it even though pure android operating system is very tempting. Some problems I've encountered: 1. After 1 year usage, the power button becomes damaged after frequent unlocking/locking the screen. (To get around this problem, I downloaded proximity sensor app) It is a big hassle to power on and off. And if you're a screenshot addict like me, you're gonna feel the pain. 2. Not stable under fluctuations in ambient temperature. Went to Taiwan in winter and phone kept shutting down and refused to power on. Returned to sg and problem persisted for a few days. 3. SIM card often not detected. Have to keep removing and reslotting the card back in. Not very often it happens but when it does, it will keep occurring for a while. Other than the above problems, I'm satisfied with it. The camera is of great quality, the pure android is awesome and it is freaking lightweight. It has great aesthetics too. However, unless Huawei upgrades their hardware, I'm never getting a Huawei phone again.

i have had this phone for over a year, i got it on May 2013 and i had it up till today when the battery exploded and took the device internals and my SIM card with it, at least i managed to save my microSD card :D the phone was working fine for a couple of months, then it started getting really slow, i had to do frequent memory wipes, factory resets and what-not just so i can have it running as it should for a week or so, till it gets clogged again for no reason this morning i was playing a game called Celtic Heroes and i noticed the phone got really heated so i stopped playing and left my phone only to see some steaming coming out of the back speaker and some weird smell that turned to be lithium evaporating in the air, i immediately tossed my phone on the floor and after a second there was a boom and the back got detached and my floor got a nice sexy black spot :D

I definitely agree with youu about the upgrade to JB. I was even made to list my cellphone number and e-mail add on a huawei form indicating that they would contact me when the upgrade is available, and that is very soon. A year passed and not a word from them. But i concede that the phone is really good especially the display and the camera which are very vivid even in direct sunlight. The only thing is, I can't move apps to SD card. It has no provision on its app settings for that. I tried downloading apps to play store but none works because of the phone limitation.

I own this phone and I could say it's the best investment I ever made. Before you start reading this, please forget everything you know about Chinese products!! Since I work as a cell phone retailer, I come in contact with various phones on a daily basis and I can say that it can still compete with today's phones from upper calss and still win. Even though it's obvious it had Samsung Galaxy S2's design as an inspiration, this phone is overall (you won't believe this) better than S2. Compared to S2, P1 lags behind in: gaming and earphone volume (it's a bit on quiet side on P1). In everything else, it beats the S2 hands down. Camera is in the top tier of 8Mpix class, colors are good and accurate, autofocus works flawlessly. 1080p videos are excellent with plenty of details, autofocus works good (although it's automatic on video) and there is no stutter while refocusing compared to S2 which lags while refocusing. Calls work perfectly on both sides. Loudspeaker is quite loud and clear. The build quality is flawless, even though it's made of plastic there are no squeaks or gaps anywhere, and I dare say its shell is more durable than the S2. The performance is blazingly fast, literally lag-free, and believe me it can rival the likes of S4 and HTC One (except, of course, in terms of very graphic-intense contents such as games). Overall, I'm giving it 9/10 , this phone really surprised me considering that Huawei were always making cheap products and evaded going at the big guys such as Samsung and HTC, and this has shown that when Huawei want to make something big, they'll do it properly. Well done, Huawei! It's a shame that this phone is sooo underestimated and didn't make the success it deserves.

Just got this phone today cos i swapped my galaxy s2 and all i can say im LOVIN it. For the past few months ive been dreaming of having phones like s3 s3 htc one optimus G g2 or nexus 4 5, but you know due to insifficent fund on my own i decided if i really need those HIGH end smartphones. I'm just happy that there are companies like Huawei that produces products like this for a great price. The UI looks wonderful! Even the sound is superb cos of its dolby surround system. The 8MP camera is not bad i really like it. And one thing i always look for smartphones is the battery. I didn't expect it to be that more powerful. I have never dream of having this phone ever, but now I'm using and enjoying it the first day I've used it. Just always keep in mind that when you buy something put some research before deciding and see what's gonna make you happy after all its your money that you will spend. Cheers.

You must have entered fstboot mode/download mode. Try to boot into recovery mode by forcing switching off the phone. After completely off, press volume up and power it on, release the power button when you see Huawei logo (still holding volume up button). When it enters recovery mode (list of commands) release the volume up button. You can move selection using volume up and down and execute using power button. At this point, try to do factory reset and wipe the data. Reboot. Done. Hope your phone back to normal.

Hi mates ! So i'm a user of the P1 for almost 2 years and this is my review. For those who want to buy this phone, you need to put in the table 2 major factors: 1 - Software update 2- Great build of Huawei This is a perfect phone for daily use, basicly it runs everything with no lags or what so ever.. The dual core 1.2 ghz does it job. Camera is awsome. Sound quaility is also good. It has already been poested by official huawei page on facebook, they promissed stable EmotionUI 1.5 in May ... and nothing yet. And then they adviced to root your phones. I did. And i'm running cyanogenmod 10.2 with android 4.3 . Its smooth, faster and battery with normal use reaches 2 days with no big problem.

Have a major love/hate relationship with this phone. Paid $199 in Oz for it, brand new and unlocked from Dick Smiths. Bargain if you ask me for a phone with these specs. But BUT for some reason it just loves to totally freeze up and then do restarts for no reason. Completely random. Screen freezes then flashes white then phone reboots. I mean apart from that its a great phone lol. I would take it back but A: Dick Smiths are out of stock completely and B: I'm now in the UK!

Re- Ascend p1 low music volume via headphones. No root required and will increase volume level. Instal recforge pro apk. Select preview mode in apk settings. This allows volume increase and holds it there whilst closing apk. Incoming calls and or txt will close apk down all together and procedure must be done again. Can also use speaker boost together no more than 50% boost, as will distort. Use good headphones and enjoy. My rom is b102. Above works great for me. Have phone now 6mths. Great phone. Not one issue with phone so far. Worth the money. Back cover does come off exposing battery. Good luck and enjoy.

I was using this phone for a week and just yesterday it stopped working. When I turn it on now, there is usual start up sound and graphics then stop at Huawei logo. It doesn't continue anymore. I have tried force turn off and on but comes out the same...I tried to wait for 1hour for Huawei logo to disappear but to no avail. Check battery level and its ok (80% charge). my son experienced the same but upon force turn off/on it went back to normal. Can, please anyone with same experience tell me what to do? Thanks

You need to buy a small connector from the micro usb of the phone to an hdmi cable. (Asda sells these) This is also connected to the power. Thats it, I am using this to watch Netflix programs on my flatscreen tv. It only works with hdmi cable. It will display anything shown on your phone display.

There are only beta versions of jellybean which yu can install/flash at your own risk (make a nandroid backup first). There is no official jellybean yet as texas instruments (maker of the SoC of this device) is pulling out off the smartphone market, so Huawei doesnt have full support on creating a jellybean OTA o full upgrade due to this. So there is only official ICS, you should remove planned upgrade because on huawei's website thy have said there will be NO jellybean on this device. Also the battery usage/endurance time is about 8-12 hours on normal use on North american & european Devices. the jelly bean chinese version reduces that to just a little over 6-7. That is why there isnot jellybean support as powersaving and deep sleep and etc havent been optimized completely for the SoC(main board).

Please look at samsung s2 or xperia sp or other devices with adreno, memory internal & RAM partly for running android OS, some time reserved for VGA too. RAM 403 MB used, 256 MB free. device work smooth, flawlessly. 2,1 gb free internal memory to install apps. default photo capture storage is external sd card. Yes True. B336 is best Rom for English with Gaaps & FM & No GPS log bug. B705 is best Rom for Chinese without Gaaps & with FM & No GPS log bug with Chinese software.

once you download it, go to file manager>sdcard(or the default memory use)>download( copy the theme downloaded).copy the theme to file manager>sdcsrd(or default memory use)>HWTheme>DiyTheme. after that go to the theme application, there you have it. just be careful, there are some themes that would change your system font, and the way to get it back to default, other than factory reset, i dont know.

got mine at BSD megamall. Yes, i also checked the memory. RAM is only 655 Mb not 1 Gb, and ROm is only 2.38 Gb not 4 Gb as claimed by Huawei on its phone specs, even on its flyers. The thickness is not even around 7.7mm as they claimed, i measured it with a caliper and it is 8.40mm excluding the protruding speaker and camera. This is product misrepresentation. Huawei should be honest if it wants to have loyal customer base.

Yes thats bad that FM is missing in B315 there is the gps bug also. if you are fm person, then try the 1.6 B704 chinese and remove chinese apps if you are advance user. It still has the gps bug though ! but advance users have no limits, can be resolved in 3 seconds.

just upgraded mine to 4.1.1, the emui is good, everything is changed. but i'm quite dissapointed that it does not have a radio app. im gonna try of there is availble in google play. fur bug issues, i haven't experience anything.

i've upgraded mine to emui 1.6 chinese version. yes there is no google play on it. i just flashed gapps and root mine to change the font. hehehe. now enjoying and loving this version especially the launcher, for bugs, i dont experience anything yet, for the gps bug you have mentioned, i have not tried it, i dont use it anyway. as of now i enjoy this particular version and it helps a lot cause i dont get impatient for the official release it, the global version :)

purchased this phone yesterday and i traveled all the way to south to north just to get this cause it was out of stock on every mall in cavite so i decided to go to manila... the only mall that still have some couple of units is megamall... 4th floor bsd international last 20 pieces left.... so many people inside so i decided to purchase it quick... this phone is fantastic on games, net and even HD movies and games... runs swiftly without lags.... i did purchased 16 gig of memory and there's no delay even a bit, can run several apps at the same time..... although battery is a downer... it only took 6 hours to completely drain the batt.... i guess i didn't install correct battery saver.. and to take note i'm using wifi all the time and install there, watch on youtube while my FB and email is running at the background.... I'm telling i traveled from south to north just to get one of this phone.... yeah, i'm from cavite PH and all the malls here are currently out of stocks.... so, i went to mall in Manila.... then I found one in Sm Megamall.... imagine almost all outlet in mega has been wiped out of P1, luckily i found one and when i get in there the people was all rushing to get one of this phone... anyway, since yesterday i'd been using it for almost 24 hours now.... there's no lag ZERO... even 3D games runs swiftly.... but the bad news is the battery... eventhough it's super amoled the battery runs really fast if use your WIFI 24/7... with several hours of customizing, watch through youtube, play some couple of games... it would drain within 5 hours and totally gone by the 6th.... well, maybe i haven't intsalled the correct battery saver or i'm too exited to noticed that i'm using it to the max... OVERALL.... i still love this beauty.... graphics is awesome, fast phone, can handle multi tasking like a quad core.... WITHOUT LAG... picture is perfect and as well as video recording... even at night with very low light it captures every details....sound is not that good but it's passable.... and what i most like about it is the slim design with a touch of elegance... 100% this phone is great.... last day tomorrow if you have plan to buy one visit megamall 4th floor BSD international... yesterday they're down to 20 pieces... just try your luck guys... thanks.

Hi, I just bought this phone a week ago. This is really a jewel at Rs.11,728/- on ebay.in. The display a super amoled one is very good. The phone is very fast and os is clean and tidy. Battery runs for 1.5 days on a heavy usage basis like calling gaming and internet on 3g. Runs any game very easily and gets installed in seconds. My advice is use a class 10 or higher memory card. Now the only two cons are 1. It really does not support video calling. 2. The beast still runs on ICS 3. It is really very difficult to find accessories. (Not a major concern now ebay.in offers back panel for Rs.475/-)

hi the headset volume is very low. if you are a pure music lover u wont find the headphone volume enough i am using sennhisers hd 202 and still the volume is less compared to other smartphones. i heard tht its an issue with the stock firmware but i hope in the upcoming firmware it will be resolved. other than that this is an awsome fone for the price. u wont get any other phone for this price for great style, light weight , and good display and no-lags. I have this phone and it seems a good phone, very similar to a galaxy SII I had not long ago, I am eagerly awaiting the JB upgrade though, there is a beta version available but I heard some functions are lost in it, so I think ill wait till there's a release version available. The only thing I was surprised about and let down by, was the fact that it only comes with 4 gig of system memory, the one thing I never bothered to check before I bought it, naively thinking all phones nowadays came with at least 16/32 gig built in, but quickly solved by a class A SD card. The most annoying thing is when the device stopps receiving any signal from mobile network. Every time this happens,restart or even power off device does not work and no mobile signal. i found the only thing to do is to remove the SIM and insert it again, and the signal is back. I bought Ascend P1 here in Saudi Arabia. When I used the front camera it is not working and caused also the Back camera and the Flashlight app not to function. I returned it to Service Center and it was replaced by a new one... Unfortunately when I tried again the front camera of the new replacement unit, it is the same. It is not working... I had concerns as Huawei are a (relative) unknown, and this is a budget (though high spec) phone. I have an Xperia Z myself and have bought this as a gift. Having used it a fair amount (in setting it up for the technophobe recipient), i can say it is an awesome phone. I would happily have one myself. This phone is awful Chinese crap, it gets to hot to the point of where it might damage the camera, and I MEAN hot! its incredibly buggy, I mean buggy in the kernel not the ROM, its always disconnecting data and loses its connection then you get the "page cannot be displayed" crap, it does not have native video calling unless you use Skype, s2 has native network video calling, the battery is not able to be removed so if your out all day you cannot just pop in a new battery,its adb interface is intermittent to the point where half the time you cannot get it to be detected, its volume on videos is awful to the point where you cannot hear it, it isnt getting jellybean so no official upgrade a complete fail by huawei, the uk networks are tossing them out like there is no tomorrow but my advice is by a second hand s2 and forget this phone, its just a piece of chinese junk like what you get on ebay for 99 buck ! its good point is nice screen !

In reply to my own response - Been checking around battery drain issues, and found wake locks in an app and an "soft" power button app which are causing battery temperature to rise above normal. After removing the buggy applications - the phone battery can last more than 24 hours straight connected to Wifi & GSM only with minimal browsing, SMS and messaging.

I have been using P1 for 4 months, and tons of apps in the phone. I too experience HIGH battery temperature around 40-42 deg C sometimes, and max at 45deg C. The back of the phone is burning in my hands at those temperature. Been monitoring the battery using "Battery Solo" app that has graphs, and I still couldn't figure out what might be causing it. Rooting this phone is very easy. And I strictly advise you to root this phone since default cpu is between 700-1200 mhz. You can icrease it to 1500 mhz with setcpu pro and see the difference. Also with clean master you can kill all tasks without turning back again. For rooting follow the instructions explained at under link. (I tried and it works.)

If you think the speaker voice is low, I highly recommend you to download "equalizer" from the market. After installation, deactive "musicfx" at settings-applications and bring the equalizer to the highest level. You"ll like the phone much more...

yes you can move some application to your memory card...you klik setting n then you klik apps. n then you choose application that you want to move...there is choices uninstall, move to card or move to phone....but not all application you can move to sd card, you can choose which application you want to move...

Question Guy, you can put SD Card up to 32GB. and yes, you cannot change battery, you can either take it to Huawei itself or the service provider you bought the phone. As for the battery issue, it's been lasting for long on my side.

I must say I wanted an Answer from Blackberry and Galaxy and be Unique until I got a great deal and a half on this phone. with 8.1 Mega Pixel Camera (in HD I must Add) this phone is amazing. I give it 4.5/5 on download speed and immense quality as well as the features. the only proiblem I had and couldn't give it the 0.5 that it deserves is the sound quality when you play your music. Sadly it is not as loud as one would have wished. But I am a proud owner of one and don't know if the special is on at Edgars SA for R1999, but I still feel I was way undercharged

it's THE BEST high end android mobile given the lower price offer. The qHD pixels look a bit blurred in the beginning but then you get used to. Onthe other hand, brightness and colors (esp. of video) are awesome. It is comparable to any high end mobile like S3, OneX etc.

Just got this phone, its great. Everything soo smooth. Only one thing to complain about, when using earplugs sound is very quiet. If im driving in a crowded bus or a tram i can hardly any music. Am in south africa,been using the p1 for a few days,i gotta say its a greeaaat fone,fast and snappy,quick internet. Looks and feels good. Could have used a little bit more customisation on the os but android market provides so much customisations thats no issue. 9 outa 10 for me coz my battry doesnt last as long as i would want and audio via headset is a bit low, but awsome fone regardless

Bought the S Advance 4 months back due to budget constraints. Then I had a colleague bring this phone in as a spare the shop gave him for sending his HTC One X in for repairs. It's really one of those surprising phones especially from market underdog Huawei. For the price, it's incredible good value. I live in Malaysia and Huawei launched the phone RM300 below what would be the listed price to boost the introductory sales of the P1. At RM999, the screen (size and clarity) is really good. In comparison spec wise, the S Advance which is in the same price bracket is only half the smartphone of the P1. The phone is nice and slim. Those thinking of the S2, do consider this phone. Huawei has come a long way.

Well, I just got it today for an unbelievable price...110 Euros! The store marked the price wrong and I got this premium handset for the same price as a G300. I have been using it for a few hours and it's lightning fast, takes good pictures with good web browsing. The colours and pictures aren't blue tinged, might be a problem with that handset. I related a bug and a boring thing the bug : the ringtones sometimes become the default ringtone of the phone. Then I have to set my own ringtone. I tried with different ringtones, different locations on card, memory.... not good Boring thing : When I am at home, I'm connected on Wireless. When I go away, I leave my wireless network. The boring thing is I have a caution message which says me I quit a wireless network and 3G traffic will give data transfers. If I don't click OK, My 3G network doesn't switch automatiquely. It's very boring!!!

Im using this phone right now to post a opinion on this phone. i love this phone as it gives me what i want :-) super amoled with corning gorilla protection(i used to drop phone). Colour are superb! As well as the touch screen are very accurate as it show touches. they have few keyboard to choose..but huawei keyboard still does better than Android i feel :-D. For memory u will need an external memory card. Camera not that bad too. I love the front camera where u have this 1.3megapixel. i looked through other phones before i bought this..most of the phone only support vga. for battery life..it is not suitable for heavy user. It can only last maybe Around 3 hours plus if you used to surf the net..but for other uses it is okay. its super light and slim. No lag as well. But i found out few problems where the contact name is a little troublesome to key in and everytime after surfing the net..the phone went a lil wrong where it always direct me to the call log and message..and the only way i figure out is to press 2d home. It wont works by pressing back button. Overall i am satisfy with this phone and i only bought it for rm 999. Been using this phone for one month. i would like tosay even though this phone

I bought the white Ascend P1 in FRANCE. I can tell you it's great. I love the fact to have a white side and a black side Friends have SII and SIII but I prefer Ascend P1 because it seems more slim and the form is unique. Not flat, He has 'muscled' reliefs The screen colors are superb. I am disappointed by the photo and the sound. The Xperia has best sound. The menus are very fast and I saw no lag. ICS is very good and Huawei Couch interesting because it offers me a infinite number of screens. I am very happy of this Phone. I hope it'll help you if you have doubt. Thanks to the previous reviews which helped me to make this good choice.

I'm with Wind Mobile and live in Toronto, Canada. For it's price bracket the Ascend P1 is head and shoulders above the rest. It's smaller and lighter than the Amaze, Nexus, and One. It could use more RAM. I don't mind the small internal memory as I simply tossed in a 32GB micro-SD card I picked up for $20 CDN. I cannot recommend this phone enough.

I wont say its a fault on the manufacturer side.the phone would just need to be flashed with the latest frimware.. that usualy sorts out the bugs on the handsets.. check out XDA forum there are lots of posts with firmware

I recommend this phone, it can be compared to Samsung Galaxy SII Plus version with cheaper price really. With full support from Huawei (because it's one of Huawei's ace). Look at for example when Huawei gives Honour an upgrade to ICS, when Samsung still not gives ICS to SGS2 yet. Samsung chase big profit by produce newer version of SGS II Plus with higher price surely.

Looks like an almost identical copy of the LG G2X P999, except this one has factory ICS rather than resorting to custom ROMs of ICS for the LG. And customs ROMs are ALL flakey. Factory ROM is the way to go, unless you like rebooting/rebuilding your phone constantly and don't rely on reliable communications all the time.

Picked one up with Windtab, and am pretty satisfied. The internals are great, runs everything fine, and Huawei has left it almost completely stock ICS. I really like the design, especially over all the alternatives with too much curves. It performs like a high end smartphone, and the only thing I'd say is lacking is the camera, which sometimes exhibits colour correction issues. But it even came with a screen protector nicely applied, so I overall I'm very satisfied with this device.

Review Of Ascend P1

This is my experience with this phone as a kid in Australia. It is definitely one of the fastest phones and it can boot up in 6 seconds. It has a good camera and the screen has a very good resolution and colour. The screen res looks good to me but this is the first high end phone I've ever owned so my last phone was the Huawei U8150( Very old phone ). But I haven't ever noticed blurriness. I felt I needed a high end phone for gaming so I've done just that :). I have lots of games ranging from Angry Birds to Shadowgun, They all run very well with no lag. The Battery Life is extremely good. I can get through nearly 3 days of school without a charge (Although I do charge every day). This is with playing 3D games like Shadowgun and Contract KIller on a 45 minutes Bus ride to school and a bit of gaming and music at break times. Then on the ride back same thing. The reception has never let me down. I nearly always have 3/4 bar reception. When I use my home Wi-Fi it is very fast and I can download a 100MB+ app very quickly. This is the best phone ever that is under $400! (I got it on a Dick Smith offer which lets you save $100) I would recommend this to anyone. My friends are envious of my new device.

I used mobiles huawei ascend p1, apple i phones and samsung galaxy. Samsung galaxy is much more better than huwei ascend p1 and apple i phone 4s. there's no comparison between huwei ascend p1 and samsung galaxy s3. Galaxy s3 supports 4G network but huwei do not. Body dimensions are also very cool as compared to huawei p1. The display size of galaxy s3 is 720*1280 pixles as copared to huwei that's just 540*960. I don't beleive that huawei is hd quality phone. the videos I watched on huwei p1 seem to have very poor quality. and at the how you can say that huwei ascend p1 is better? it's not...........

First: Comparing P1 with S2 is wrong, P1 is better and faster. I am working in mobile gaming industry and i have first hand experience with both phones. Second: China is the most important electronics manufacturer in the world, and any American who says "i don't use/buy Chinese s*it" should take a closer look at the phones/electronics he has around him. I have the Huawei U8500 its very nice but if you receive a call during any thing else you are dong on the phone you have to wait not less than 1 min till it start to responce again, the camera is 3.2 but it is really bad compared by 3.2 of the nokia or even any other phone, finaly the battary its not more than 4 h using the phone you muast have a charger were ever you are its really bad i don't want to try any huawei phone again

I bought Ascend P1 about a week ago in China. Price=3000RMB = 360EUR Performance is v.good, it kills the iphone4s. The camera is fast and high-res. Lots of crapware comes preinstalled, but easy to remove. Design is good, the big screen is easy to view, good quality build. Battery life could be a bit better. Overall an awesome phone!

Got a chance to check the Huawei Ascend P1 hands on !! Pro's: A very solid phone with great build quality.Doesnt look cheap like other crappy Huawei phones.Very Similar to Galaxy S2 interms of design but its quite thin and elegant.ICS works like a charm ,buttery smooth with the dual core beast underneath. 8MP camera/Video is quite decent compared to S2(I felt better than S2.Will have to wait for complete review from GSMarena with detailed analysis). Cons: I was very upset when I didn't find a HDMI port!!.Huawei guys told other variants of Ascend will have one. My opinion: A pretty good phone from Huawei in line with competition for S2.Was told ,it will be priced at around 550$.Guys this is a phone to check out when its in market.But by the time its in,I feel S3 will make its way!!

This is the same phone as P1S, except 1mm thicker. Oh! And better 1800 mAh battery vs PS1's 1670mh. So the choise is not difficult, a longer battery life means more fun.
