Huawei P30 - User Reviews

 • Does smart launcher or any other launcher works flawlessly on emui? I never had huawei phones so im asking thanks

 • hard to say no to this phone, I wanted to jump ships to s10 or something else. But for its price, its a top notch phone. Got it for 275 USD on a telco deal. So I cannot really jump anywhere. 128gb 8gb ram. Its just crazy pricing i got. for those who have doubts. here are some 6 months experience points Design: 10/10 top notch solid built, color options are great, elegant looks Size: 9/10 almost perfect for one handed use with 6.1 inch( wish it was 5.9) Screen: 9/10 very bright and clear even with 50% brightness, has options for HD and FHD. flat screen allows you to install tempered glass easily. Sound: Don't be fooled with the single setup, its damn loud and clear with details for any music format. High quality stuff in there. Only loses to samsung dual stereo in a minor way Connectivity: Never fails, pulls every signal that is available from wifi to 4g even at weak areas. Back Camera: nothing beats this apart from well known models like perhaps Apple ,s10, note 10, p30 pro, mate20 pro etc.. otherwise its a damn good camera. Front Camera: better than decent, nothing to brag about. no physical flash. Software: Boring but fluid, no lags or stutter. But seriously, its just old school looks. Manages the ram and apps very well with no effort. Wait for Android 10 and EMUI 10 which will solve most of the problem. Looks better too. 1 department huawei still lacking. UDFP: seriously handy, dont want physical scanner anymore lol. And this one never failed since the day I bought it. works every time perfectly. Battery: Meh.. its the same old story. but I used zznfone max pro m2 before with 5k mah. Its about the same. Lasts you 1 1/2 days with moderate usage. Charges fast enough within 1 1 1/2 hours. lets hope there are changes after the update. Cons: Battery life could have been better perhaps 4.2k mah would have been nice no notification light, you need to depend on the screen boring UI and themes proprietary nm card which is expensive usb C charger slot is a bit loose, maybe only my phone has the problem. idk. Value for money : 9/10 , mid rangers or so called flagship killers can scuk on this over every aspect, Huawei is Huawei, P30 is P30. For moderate people who does not want overkill specs, this is for you. You can skip every mid range phone easily and invest on this. Its future proof and has 3.5mm jack as well.

 • There are no stereo, okay, but that solo speaker is very loud.

 • Too bad this phone is not friendly to get it rooted (as most of Huawei phones for that matter - at least what i investigated so far), otherwise this is basically the perfect phone for 2019, a bit smaller so it fits hand better, at least some IP rating, dual GPS. I guess i will either break my buck and get S10 or settle with OnePlus 7.

 • This phone is sweet, Google play store works perfectly

 • hi, Would like to know whether google supports this model and will there be android upgrades for this phone . I really loved this phone and wish to use it for long but little afraid

 • No problem with google as its excluded from ban, already use this brand for 4 months

 • i'll go for p30

 • Im using this phone for more than a month.. so far so good better quality and has a smooth performance specialy ML.

 • Why would you want lcd? oled is much better. It's brighter, uses less battery, better in sunlight, more vivid colours, can use aod...

 • Planning to upgrade from Mate 10 Pro, is it worthy upgrade or no?P30 is now 465$ in my location.

 • Thanks man. I appreciate your comment.

 • P30 or other Huawei phones before it are not affected by Google ban. I am using this phone and it's working well with the usual updates of all Google apps.

 • I'd like to buy this phone, but when I think about google, I am afraid of getting in problems.

 • P30 if you love small phones. Note 9 if you need bigger screen and stylush. I use both of them, but P30 is in my hand most of the time since i bought it.

 • Bought p30 2 weeks ago, everything is great, speed specially, battery life is great IF you are not a heavy gamer, camera has many options, speaker has full sound but not very loud

 • What's wrong with oled?

 • I bought it because it has OLED. I won't buy if it's screen is just LCD.

 • If only it is lcd type and not oled I will buy it

 • Hi guys, plz tell me how can i get emui 10 beta on my p30, i've tried the beta app but it shows me issue with connection

 • can it be upgraded up to android 10?

 • Hi guys, plz tell me how can i get emui 10 beta on my p30, i've tried the beta app but it shows me issue with connection

 • Mate 20 Pro is practically the same level to P30 when talking about cameras (ultrawide exactly the same). I think overall Mate would be a little bit better option. IP68, better battery, better resolution vs 3.5mm jack. Ive chosen P30 because of better size for me and noncurved screen.

 • I have same dillema

 • Mate 20 Pro vs P30? (Regarding the camera since Mate 20 Pro has it beat with extra stuff like IP68, IR blaster, 40W charge, battery size, ToF front, and wireless charge. Meanwhile P30 has slightly better benchmarks and a 3.5 jack)

 • Wait a bit, mine did same in the first 3,4 days. Read my posts

 • One week with my P30, in the first 3,4 days was awfully wrong, battery depleted so fast, faster the my P20 that i upgraded from. But now all back again. Only 3% over night depletion rate and more than 50% daily left on regular usage at 6pm after 11 h usage. All in all a good decent phone, except Emui, i like better the samsung design launcher or whatever.

 • A really great phone once you try it.

 • It

 • not for you never

 • great device. 30X the zoom. Feels good to use

 • Huawei P30 or Samsung Note9 ?

 • What about the battery life between them

 • have they gone mad or what? proprietary memory cards... come on!

 • Huawei p30 is much better camera, battery and performance just awesome.

 • Huawei p30 vs Samsung s9 plus which device is better?

 • Is there no OIS on the main camera?

 • 6.5" better for who? All this year flagships sucks because of their size like a pan. Except s10, s10e and p30.

 • Which would be a better choice? P30 or Mi9? Also if i bought the P30 now how would the ban affect it?

 • go for one plus 7 pro. i love huwaei but one plus 7 is a beast

 • Looks like a great device (maybe one step behind samsung s10 in paper). Too bad the problem with the ban, we need for competition and devices not less

 • Mine is perfectly fine and give me around 1 and a half day back up on heavy usage. Probably yours have some software or hardware issue get in contact with huawei

 • i find huawei to be better

 • Hi guys which on is better? P30 or xiaomi CC9 in terms of selfie camera. Both have 32MP f/2.0 aperture.

 • Friends Pls reply Got it today and charged 99 % after 2 hr battery 63% Why ?? I didn't use ...

 • Got it 2 months ago. After a month screen protection got really bad, started pealing and I removed it. So far I've got 3 starches on it. Not really happy about it. Had P9 before and it was more resistant. Note am using flip screen mask

 • Hey thanks, p30 really a great phone, am loving it. Thanks dude for your opinio.

 • Which one would be better? p30 or mi9?

 • P30

 • P20 Pro doesn't have bluetooth 5.0, otherwise I'd buy it too.

 • P20 Pro

 • P30

 • P30 or P20 pro

 • Same with my unit, that's why I'm quite surprised with those connectivity issues he mentioned.

 • Camera is excellent in low light

 • Bro the Battery has uterly shocked me! I have vacations going on and all day i am using my phone, playing pubg, using youtube and snapchating etc. The battery still last me around 1 Day and few hours more. Its just you can charge it once and use it all day without any issue. If you need to charge the super charger handles the charging like a pro. Around 65 percent in 25-30 mins.

 • How is the battery life? I had bad experience with huwawei MateS. I dont know p30

 • P30 designed to be a flagship without some of the features of the Pro variant. I think the P30 is a much better overall purchase than A70, especially in the camera and gpu department.

 • My P30 has no such issues

 • P30 is faar better than A70. The camera on A70 sucks

 • P30 or Samsung A70 need your opinion :-)

 • After Extensive research between One plus 7 vs S10 and P30, i am happy to report i went with P30. At first i was spectical about EMUI but after 3 days of use and after some changes i am simply loving the experience of the device. For information i upgraded from Samsung Note 8 and i feel EMUI has better gestures overall. Being a person having big hands P30 seem little as compare to Note 8 but i really feel comfortable using it specially one hand usage. Battery wise this thing like Never dies. I have charged only twice in my 4 days usage as per now. Camera never lets me down and selfie camera works great. A great deall overall.

 • WiFi connection problem or the speed? Are you the sole user of the system?

 • How about doing a smart diagnosis thru HiCare?

 • IP68 rating is overrated, Samsung got into trouble in Australia because of that. the IP rating is mainly for fresh water, not sea water, not swimming pool water etc in which you have ‘salt’ or any type of chloride that is corrosive. IP rating is probably only useful when you drop your phone into toilet bowl, and hopefully no shit inside. :)

 • p30 better because i use to p30 very nice camera

 • Exact same situation as like with me. Both, promotion on S10 series (including S10e) and reasoning. P30 is not a bad phone though. It just depends on what your needs are.

 • My nex phone,,,will be,,s10e,,,bcoz Samsung had some kind of promotion so S10e was actually cheaper than P30. But I repeat - main reasons why I chose S10e were IP68 rating and compact size

 • Maybe it depends on where you live... but I somehow understand my LTE being flawed, because it might be my network, or phone was made for another country, but my WiFi being unstable? Come on!

 • I did and it made no difference...

 • No wonder why my friends who are iPhone and Samsung users are enjoying to connect on my P30's hotspot.

 • Please check any update from your network provider. Got the 9.1.0.185 for network optimization yesterday which basically covers connectivity.

 • Huawei is no good when it comes to wifi or LTE they don't pick up service good like Samsung Phones.

 • Anyone else experiencing issues with LTE and wifi??? It keeps loosing connection all the time its sooo frustrating and its not connection problem because my old S8 still can do both with no problems I appreciate any advice

 • No from my experience. Holding it in my bathroom while taking a shower was enough to kill it in 2 month. The phone was never splashed or submerged. They refused to fix my P30 when it simply died on me because moisture detectors apparently show that it was in water... They told me to go for IP67 or IP68 phone... which means either P30 Pro or something like S10

 • P30 should be compared with Honor 20 PRO.

 • Is this far better than honor 20? And is ip53 enough?

 • I am trying to buy this device, but am puzzled between p30 and oneplus 7 pro. As per camera performances, which one should i buy?

 • And Huawei phones are now on sale with lots of freebies on all their shops.

 • Oh! I know the D Direct store... The store sell variety types of smartphones and the price is quite cheap.

 • Who knows if this OLED display also blinks like Amoled ?

 • 46 degrees celsius heavy gaming... reaches more than that playing pubg on high graphic settings...

 • Are you near to any DirectD store? Just go there and try those 2 models side by side then you decide.

 • Since the mate 20 pro is sold out in my country I have to take a p30. Just before I get it can any owners tell me any real issues they have with this phone. Not worried about ip53 rating or lack of wireless charging just issues like over heating etc

 • Which should I go for? Huawei Mate 20 or Huawei P30? Huawei Mate 20 (RM2099) & Huawei P30 (RM2299) in Malaysia...

 • IP53 for 550 Eur flagship lol

 • s10e LOL

 • Thanks for the feedback.

 • Camera in low light is first in class as usual, the sound is great and battery back up is superb in Huawei's tradition.

 • compact size 5'8 vs 6'1 it's stupid - think 6'5 is much better and you certainly won't keep your phone in a jar of water

 • Samsung had some kind of promotion so S10e was actually cheaper than P30. But I repeat - main reasons why I chose S10e were IP68 rating and compact size.

 • Was the higher price tag of S10e better than P30's performance especially the cameras?

 • If compare the Huawei P30 with Samsung A70...The P30 is better. The cameras for P30 is better than A70. For the battery, A70 is larger than P30 coz it has a larger screen(6.7 inches) as compared to P30(6.1 inches)

 • I'm pretty much interested in buying the P30 & it would be my first Huawei phone. Just wanna ask how's the camera in lowlight, speaker sound & battery life? Thanks in advance.

 • I was close to buying this phone, but S10e is way more compact and has IP68 rating. Why didn't Huawei make this phone water resistant is beyond me, but I'm more than happy with my buy :)

 • Hello, i have an offer to buy the P30 for 402€ and the samsung A70 for 320€ an i am having a hard time chosing. What time do you recommend? I want a midrange phone with nice camera and battery life Any suggestions? Thanks!

 • been using this phone for a month now, this is the real deal

 • And this is where the S10e has the edge over P30, it is better choice for users who are often in contact with liquids. IP53 means that water damage probably will not be under warranty, but there is only way to know for sure - take your phone for repair and explain it to them, though they might not believe you that you did not submerge the phone under water... I wish you luck.

 • I just bought my P30 last july 05, 2019. We went swimming yesterday, and we used my phone for the photos. I did'nt dip my cp to the pool cause I know that its not supported Ip68 just Ip53 only. I use my phone when my hand is wet. Coz I know that it's ok. But after an hour, some part of the screen became purple and became dark. I'm just worried because I bought my phone for a higher amount and now its not working. I just wanna ask if theres a chance that the screen of my phone is under warranty? Thanks in advance

 • Wireless powershare is cool feature, but honestly I'll probs never use it since I don't even have anything I can charge with it. I mainly went for it because of IP68 certificate (because you know, water happens) and small size which is more than good for one handed use. Another thing is software, for someone coming from iOS it's kinda odd to see another phone which isn't an iPhone - trying so hard to look like one. It straight out makes me feel like I'm buying a copy.

 • Whatever you guys r saying about the s10e being better its not I wanted it too until I found out that the powershare breaks the phones battery

 • P30 is a great phone. Only let down is IP53 otherwise I would of bought it. Went with mate 20 pro and its fantastic

 • Yes camera quality is pretty much the same. There's minor spec differences but it's not major, it won't be noticeable. they still have the same sensor. It'll only be different when you zoom in because the pro has the periscope. Night photos will also be identical.

 • I had doubts between this phone and S10e. And Samsung won - I got myself S10e. This phone has better camera but S10e has better video quality. S10e is more fit for single handed use (smaller phone), and is also IP68 water resistant, plus Samsung used Gorilla Glass 5 for build materials. And it supports Wireless Power Share. Samsung crammed everything they could fit into small S10e frame while also making it water resistant. But if you like bigger screen, and you want to have optical zoom - then P30 is the phone for you.

 • In the tests, he showed up to 10 hours of screen operation. s10e will be much worse.

 • Hey guys, how the battery life performance from this device, is it better than the s10e?

 • Is camera quality almost same both p30 and p30 pro?( At day time)

 • Nova Launcher + Huawei Gestures = GOLDEN!

 • Nova Launcher + Huawei Gestures = GOLDEN!

 • Gestures? You mean Huawei's own gestures? (under the Settings?)

 • Nova launcher combined with gestures.

 • ???

 • Hi. Have questions re the various gestures and navigations available on EMUI 9.0 & 9.1. The one thing I hate about EMUI is the presence of the three-way nav buttons on the bottom of the screen and having the apps drawer icon in the homescreen. Is there a way (or a feature in the settings) that would allow gestures and navigations similar to iOS or Pixel devices doing away the nav buttons and the apps drawer icon and having no apps in all the homescreens?

 • Actually HUAWEI EMUI is not good. If you factory reset the phone, you are not allowed to change the notification sound for Message and Gmail anymore.

 • Err, not really, even if the ban still exists, it'll affect the unreleased / yet to be released devices. Not the already marketed ones. Now with the ban somehow lifted (although this trade war is still in limbo, and we don't know exactly what stuffs are banned from entering a Huawei phone and what stuffs are allowed), it's safe to buy a Huawei phone. I'm quite disappointed with the lift tho, it shows how weak the data mining accusations were made, and most importantly it cancels any opportunity for a Huawei flash sale/discount. LOL

 • P30 pro

 • Search in Google Play store for "Online Radio".

 • the tide has turn now trump lift of the ban of huawei so there is no hesitation now if you buy huawei device..

 • How can I use an FM radio in P30?

 • huawei all phones will lose google service after ban, but if you get it before ban you will use it as nothing happened. I talked with huawei about this ban. So go ahead and get it now .

 • Really need your help... Which one is better... Huawei p30 or huawei mate 20 pro or smsung note 9 or iphone 8 plus...im focusing on camera and performance. Thank for helping me

 • I've been thinking of buying this phone but then this whole google ban came and didn't read much into it. So I was just wondering what does it mean? Does it mean that the phone won't be getting any new android updates?

 • IT has 6 Gb of RAM not 8Gb. At least in Canada it doesn't have 8Gb.

 • What do you think if I change my mate20 to p30? Is it worth it?

 • this piece of device is better than samsung note 9. more fluid UI, good speaker, excellent camera.

 • SAMSUNG Galaxy S10 is a good choice for you.

 • Meh fake news.. Google can't do that as the services are already paid by consumers, im sure you have no proof!

 • It is HDR10 compliant. Meaning you can watch Netflix & YouTube (and Amazon Prime Video I think) in HDR. DCI P3 is a color space. It was introduced in 2007 and has a wider gamut that sRGB

 • Hi guys. Is P30 HDR10 compliant? and what is DCI P3?

 • Huawei phones that are already in the market are not affected by the ban since the buyers have paid for the service.. This issue has been brought up so many times but it seems like there are still many people who are not giving attention to this..

 • Nope.

 • hi guys.. need help.. p30, iphone 7 or samsung s10? -currently using mate 10 but to heavy for me. Noted: not a gamer person. Thanks in advance.. :)

 • P30 by mile lol. Iphone 7 plus nowhere close to it.

 • P30 (non pro) or iPhone 7 plus?

 • You bought this yesterday? Aren't you worried about the google bans on huawei phones?

 • Got the p30 yesterday and so glad i did. It's my first huawei phone.Everything is so smooth than previous phones have used before the likes of samsung and xioami phones

 • Vanilla Mate 20 is the answer.

 • Should I go for p30 or p30 pro? P30 Pro have wireless and reverse charging but I don't really need them and worry that I need to pay extra for features that I won't use. I'm ok with both IP rating on the phones. For camera, I kinda prefer with the OIS since I like taking photos handheld and I always use pro mode and hope that OIS can help a bit in this. The telephoto is fine either way for both of the phone. I like the smaller size and flat screen on P30 over p30 pro. I need IR blaster (p30 pro) but I also need headphone jack (p30). Should I sacrifice the headphone jack or IR blaster? Why can't we just have all the best hardware in one phone. :(

 • For P30 users here,is it already showing all notification in AOD after update? Please confirm..Tnx

 • For how, long? Risky for new buyer and old. Courts take time I wouldn't wait. I value my $$$$ . Roll dice guess.

 • Why are you(samsung fanboys) promoting fake news? Google confirmed that their apps will get updates in existing huawei phones and they won't be removed For huawei users there is no need to sell your phones for cheap prices

 • Telstra has stopped selling Huawei online 😭😭😭&#128557;😭😭

 • google will requires all android to update their google play store to use it but they will not give update to huawei devices or use code to ban huawei g play store so even existing huawei can not us the playstore much wore even cannot update the apps

 • Camera is good but still Nokia 808 has the best camera

 • You're funny!!! This is why that won't happen First: they czn't remove the app. They need to make to roll an update in which they remove the google play store. So don't update your phone until uou check that it's safe Second: even if they remove the play store you can always reinstall it by yourself by downloading the apk . This lethod is used a lot with the chinese versions of the phones Third: both google and huawei said that google services won't be removed from the phone and that the phones will receive securty patches even after the ban coz when you have bought the phone you paid for both the software and hardware. So if they do that then you can sue them

 • pretty much if google ban! .maybe not this week but months ahead.

 • id buy one for $100

 • Then he can go to SAMSUNG A80 or even S10e if his budget is enough. Better than buying those phones which their future (updates) are unclear and unknown.

 • S10=P30

 • A50 and A70 are not even close

 • Hhhhh. You think that playstore will suddenly disappear?

 • Oneui has improved but emui is still better when it comes to battery

 • The United States and Australia are deliberately restricting the place of Chinese telco Huawei in their telecommunications landscapes. Australia also???

 • Actually the battery in SAMSUNG phones do not have problems unless you get a inferior one. Previously SAMSUNG phones price are overpriced but now no longer anymore.

 • Try new like A30 battery great

 • Yes oneui did miracle in battery i observed myself I am currently using s8 plus and battery is very much improved

 • Yes i agree with you battery is improved in oneui

 • So OneUI will do a miracle with a battery? As per comments from Samsung users their batteries are a problem e.g. have a charger or pwerbank with you all the time. I was a Samsung fanatic but I saw that Samsung is like Apple in Android world. Overpriced for what it offers.

 • There will be conflict’: Huawei founder’s warning to US.. thems fighting words ! Lookout DON!

 • Said the big bad wolf....! then till one day Poof playstore gone!

 • Nope try one ui

 • poor souls..........rip

 • According to current status, HUAWEI is 99% dead now as he loss both Android and ARM, software and hardware. I suggest you go to buy a new SAMSUNG A50 or A70 is better.

 • What I like about Huawei in general is their camera hardware and software. Samsung and Apple are far behind in that segment. When comes to battery Samsung has serious problems compared to Huawei. I was planning to buy Huawei P30 because I think it outperforms Samsung S10 camera and battery. Huawei P30 Pro is another dimension for Samsung S10. Even Huawei P20 Pro camera and battery performance beats Samsung S10 as per my opinion. With all this Huawei ban biggest losers are customers. We will be again forced between Samsung and Apple if this continues. I am also worried for other Chinese brands e.g. Xiaomi etc.

 • That was quite an informative and concise post; much clearer than most articles floating around the web. Thank you.

 • Over the past 10 years I have used all kinds of phone starting from Sony Ericsson, Nokia, blackberry, HTC, Sony Xperia, iPhones ect but nothing excited me more than getting my hands on to this beauty and beast. P30 is by far the best phone I have ever used in that budget range. Moreover getting it in installment was more helpful. The battery life is amazing even for heavy user like me, I used DSLR for photography as its my passion but now I don't carry DSLR anymore. I am Not into vidoe recording but I still would give 8/10 for the vidoe quality however slow motion sucks in p30. The user interface is good. As pointed by some users regarding Bluetooth I use it often especially at gym and never faced any problems till now. Been using it for a month now and I would give 9/10 for this phone. Only if it was ip63 certified it would have been better. But its nothing major.. Honest review

 • Yes, but long term updates are the problem, the Mate 20 Pro was pulled out from the Android 10 beta program and most likely other models will follow the same fate. There is too much uncertainty about it.

 • Already existing phones are not affected

 • Wow...more than ever i just want to buy HUAWEI P30 as a first time user of the brand though currently using Samsung A8+2018...but my fear is the recent sanction nd tension between American companies nd HUAWEI

 • Wanted to buy P30, but now banned by google. Bye bye Huawei

 • I believe that HUAWEI will not die so easy as you think.

 • Reuters claims that Google has stopped providing Huawei with hardware and software products, except those covered by open source licenses. In other words, while Huawei can still use Android itself, most proprietary services will be inaccessible — including the Google Play Store, Gmail, and presumably anything else that requires the closed-source Play Services Framework. The exact details are still being discussed internally at Google, according to a source that spoke with Reuters. The move could also prevent Huawei from updating its existing phones, as the updates can't be re-certified for Play Store access, risking the security of Huawei device owners. While security updates are part of AOSP and are still available to Huawei, Android's system WebView is updated through the Play Store, and Play Protect is a core part of Google's Android services.

 • Forget about Huawei phones. As we speak the giant is dead

 • If his HUAWEI P30 Pro really has heating issue, he should go to HUAWEI official site and email the technical support for help. Not just posting a comment here. Or he should go to the HUAWEI service center and ask for help from the technician there. This is the fastest and correct way. Not just posting a comment here.

 • What does Huawei has to say about this? Some say that this line of smartphones is heating, it has a heating problem. How does Huawei respond to this? How does Huawei resolve this problem? Does it care about it?
HUAWEI P30 PRO - USER OPINIONS AND REVIEWS user vF318 May 2019 heating problem in this phone be carefull.
• An update regarding AOD on P30 allows 3rd party notification, so yes.

 • how's AOD in P30 is it same with samsung that shows all icon notification?

 • One UI is improvement from their previous UI, but the slowdown is still there, reported by various of users. Heck i even see theres stutter when unlocking the phone & slide to Bixby on my brother's S10+. Never found any lag & as fast as day one on my older Honor 8 Pro, my wife Mate 9 & my current Mate 20. EMUI is that good. The UI icon does looks ugly to my eyes lol, but its easily changed & customized using various of themes. And i hate the horizontal swipe App Drawer on One UI. I mean whats the purpose of it if u can just swipe like that on Home Screen? Stock vertically swipe App Drawer is the most practical.

 • you need to do deep clean in your samsung UI it is better than let UI itself clean, trust me

 • Clever kid

 • Thanks

 • I'm using my p30 for 4 days and using the Sennheiser Momentum Free(previous name "HD1 Free") and i can assure you the bluetooth is great, no problem when i'm walking away from the phone, connecting super quick and the most important - the Dolby Atmos Sound... once i turn it on(from my p30) and choose Rich sound - the quality became from ok to spectacular

 • He's talking about regular S10, not S10+ lol.

 • Thanks for feedback

 • I had a P20 until 2 days ago, when i bought a P30 and had none problems with the bluetooth given that i use it 24/7 since i have Beats headphones who are wireless.

 • what a bad choice lol... im super happy with my 10+

 • I would really like a p30 i use Bluetooth for lots of things but some reviews say Bluetooth is a problem on huawei any opinions please

 • Dropped my S10 and shattered it. Went and ordered a P30. Awesome camera. Leica lenses. Great phone. Not too big and unwieldy. 100% satisfied.

 • Yes, loving it.

 • I have been using it for a few weeks now, after dropping my S10 and totally shattering it. It is more compact than P30 pro, and has all the same features. Love this phone.

 • Thanks! Is it exactly same with samsung AOD?dont know why its now showing in my Mate10 pro.. Planning to upgrade next week..

 • What happens if scroll regularly?

 • Yes it does.

 • Still not satisifed.. because you scroll regularly?

 • Is it showing whats app,fb & other notification icon in always on display?im planning to buy this instead of s10.

 • No.

 • Depends on you. Personally I don't dare to try Samsung. This was years ago but I remember not being satisfied with the scrolling feeling on samsungs and androids overall. I'm sure this has changed a lot for the better by now. Still not satisfied but I tried my sisters Mate 20 Pro and well.. It will have to do I guess haha Also. If you remember apple knowingly slowing down their iPhones? Samsung said they didn't but that turned out to be a lie. And hence, I don't dare to try samsung phones for this reason as well.. People say their Huaweis is fast after months & years. I've even seen people change from Samsung to Huawei and they say that Samsung is slow.. I don't know. But I'm not gonna risk it. People complain about Huaweis UI. Doesn't really matter for me at least. I think all androids are cluttered. And to end this quickly. The overall better performace on the camera is not Huawei. It's samsung, google & apple. Huawei loses a lot on video. Lucky for me i don't record often. And it's decent recording quality.. It does the job. I'd say they are equally good but on different areas. And P30 is cheaper so..

 • S10 or p30?

 • Have someone bought that phone?

 • Can someone who actually owns the phone do a review

 • 680 EUR IP5 dust and splash Is this a jok?????

 • Thanks, you got official source for that? According to other comment here, P30 has IMX 600 with RYYB filter on top of it. Couldn't find official pdf whitepaper of the phone, shame

 • RYYB SuperSpectrum sensor are IMX650. Which both P30 & the P30 Pro version has. IMX600 using old RGB setup. Pro version a bit better because of OIS added & lower f1.6 aperture. Google listing IMX600 because its the rumor of vanilla P30 before the phone launch.

 • Thanks for replying, according to Google, only the P30 pro has imx 650, and imx 600 is the one in P30 (non pro). Need to check all this!

 • Nope, P30 camera are better than Mate 20 X. P30 using Sony IMX 650 are more advance than IMX 600 on Mate 20 X, because of the RYYB sensor, better on lowlights than Mate. Plus camera algorithm on P30 series are more mature & natural than Mate does.

 • Thanks for replying Chee Khuan, please note Mate 20 X has better camera than P30, unless you are referring to the selfie one.

 • If you want a phone with good camera performance, P30 is a good choice. If you want a phone with best battery life and above average camera performance, Mate20 X is a good choice.

 • hi, P30 or Mate 20 X ?

 • Thank you for giving me an idea bro

 • Thank you for your suggestions.

 • S10e ofc but if i would chouse i would get p30

 • Just had P30 for 7days...price,camera,battery, free gt watch, and dolby earphone... AWESOME PHONE!!!

 • Is the back scratch resistant also?

 • Compact, camera, future proof, display, - P30 Bigger, battery, ir blaster - Mate 20

 • Opinions between p30 and mate 20?

 • Yes

 • yes u are right guys huawei p30 is better than xiamo i love it

 • I've checked 2 p30s quite a lot today and I'm pretty sure screen quality is similar if not identical to the mi9 I checked yesterday, then again it may vary between units. In this case I'm almost intent on getting the mi9 as it has a way superior cpu/gpu, by that I don't mean it's just faster, it also runs a lot cooler and more efficiently despite both being 7nm chips. So screen being equal and mi9 being more powerful i'll probably go for it OR i might decide I absolutely can't live with the black crush they both show and go with a regular mate 20 :(

 • you are right .. sd 855 steal my mind too... for me the p30 is better in everything.. first we have huawei store here and their service is great.. xiaomi is not available here at all.. i worry about the warranty of xiaomi.. second xiaomi made it for 500$ .. why i should pay 700$? .. and p30 with 8 gb of ram this very important to me.. and everyone know huawei camera too... there is 3.5 mm jack too.. and about gaming i just play pubg that work fine on my mate 10 lite with 80k on antutu.. it will work great on kirin 980.. i think the sd 855 is just much power and not really need it for now with all this differences.. i like taking pictures but not video.. i will probably get the p3

 • Don't worry. HONOR is HUAWEI's sub brand, and they share the same quality control.

 • The situation is not as you describe it, I mean the p30 has a better speaker, a better calibrated screen(not by much) and a better camera. I am struggling to choose between them as well, went to the store to check the xiaomi and it has pretty bad black crush which set me off almost, the p30 seems to be better(at least the store units). The SD 855 is what keeps me thinking about the mi9, everything else is of a worse quality than what you find on the p30

 • P30 8gb ram 128 gb and freebuds and car charger for 690$.. and mi 9 6gb ram 128 gb for 700$ in my country.. Help me.. Mi 9 is better in everything except camera and ram and maybe battery.. I am confused.. In other country mi 9 is for 510$... Give me your opinion guys... Kirin 980 is not strong as sd 855 but still very strong too

 • Check again if it's not the PRO or X variant. Mate 20 should be $50 - $100 lower than the P30 now.

 • Mate 20 is for some weird reason way to expensive in my country, almost 100-150$ more than P30, but I'm gonna wait to see Honor 20. Thanks.

 • Need help, P20 PRO or P30 ? Thanks

 • Hold your horses and wait for Honor 20 just to widen your options. You can even include Mate 20 if you're into phone photography.

 • Do you know if it has active noise canceling (4 cables on 3.5mm plug) ? Thanks!

 • when you compare them only advantage of p30 is that its front camera is better than mate 20 pro and also cheaper. mate 20 pro' s front camera is not that bad, huawei has improvements with it in mate 20 pro. It has ip68 and wireless charging, too. If you like small phones p30 is good option and with almost similar specifications with mate 20 pro. If you have enough money mate 20 pro would be better option for you.

 • Mate 20 pro and p20 pro also do not have OIS by wide camera. But they are really good with photos. They are wrong in gsmarena specifications. It is written p20 pro has OIS. No, it does not. You can check original huawei website. p30 can take photos like those two phones. But they are not that good in videos, i don' t know, if it is because of missing OIS. Even mate 10 pro is a bit better in videos, maybe because mate 10 pro has OIS for two cameras. I am into p30 because mate 20 pro expensive for me and they have almost same rear cameras.

 • Okay, I'm looking for a new phone, and there are 2 phones that caught my eye Huawei P30 (6gb/128gb) and Honor View20 (6gb/128gb). Where I live V20 is 75$ cheaper, so I'm in big dilemma here because both phones are similar in specs. Also I have Huawei P10 almost for 2 years now (so I know Huawei phones are reliable), I never had Honor phones so I dont know if they are reliable. My question is witch one is better, and if someone has experience with both of them? Thanks. :)

 • Both are good but I would go with P30, because it's cheaper yet it gives same performance as S10, also I can Huawei phones (at least top end) are extremely reliable, I'm using P10 for almost 2 years now, and this crazy device/smartphone have not slow down at all (battery gets drain faster but that is with all smartphones, batteries have their lifespan). Also my brother bought P20 year ago and just like me, he didn't have any problems at all. In a 4 months I'm getting P30 too. I'm not saying S10 is a bad phone, it's really good, but where I live it's much more expensive and just not worth for me. But if you have money to spend and want well known brand go with S10 it will serve you well.

 • Staring at this phone for over a week now with short breaks for meals and sleep. Eyes are fine. Galaxy A5 (2017) and Vivo Xplay 6, on the other hand, did give me quite some pain. Bottomline, no matter how it flickers - it is pretty much eye-friendly a display.

 • King of flickering. PWM must have. Kill your eyes using our P30!!!

 • Just being curious How do you deal with the no OIS thing?

 • I was once dilemma like u. But in the end I took the P30. Here's why, top notch battery life - and charge up very very fast too! Brilliant reliable main camera with superb 3x 5x zoom, ultra-wide angle has sharper corner, low light is amazing! Last but not least, less costly / expensive to repair in case you accidentally damage it...and many accessories for it (at least in my country). Unless you're more on Audio Quality / Music / Video. S10 is top notch on those. Honestly, not to say S10 is weaker compare to P30 in term of camera and etc. It's all down to personal preferences. I my self has owned many Galaxy & Note series and I'm still impressed by them til today BUT this round, the P30 truly won over. Cheers man ;)

 • Can you tell me which is worth buying? Samsung s10 or Huawei P30? And why?

 • Mate 20 pro... Compare between them you will see the difference

 • That is normal. you cannot even get the full 8gb for RAM due to the default applications needs to consume in oder to get your phone fully functional. Otherwise, the will will get empty. The OS of your phone will also consumed the 8gb alotted. This includes system applications as well.

 • I just recently bought this phone. Im just curious, it says it has 8gb ram but whenever i clear cache my ram it only reflects a 5gb....... Can someone help me Ive got the 128gbmemory with8gb ram

 • 1. huawei p30 2. huawei p30 lite 3. samsung a50

 • Yes, you are right. Thanks for the reminder. 10x zoom is for P30 Pro, P30 just got 3x only. But still have better performance than the P20 Pro.

 • I think P30 is best than Mate 20

 • I think P30 is best than mate 20

 • where is the cheapest place to buy it in europe?

 • Mate 20 Pro or P30 (non-pro)?

 • P30 or p30 lite or Samsung a50 best

 • Is it not P30 3X zoom

 • HUAWEI P20 Pro is using Kirin 970 (a 10nm chip) and the camera does not have 10x zoom. HUAWEI P30 is using Kirin 980 (a 7nm chip) and the camera is more advanced with 10x zoom.

 • well bought it yesterday. What can I tell. They give you what they promised: EXELENT camera GOOD battery life OUTSTANDING performance in gaming and multitasking. GOOD LOOKING Emui 9.1 Can say nothing bad for now

 • Mate 20 Pro is a GIANT shovel. And they lowered P30 price further to 610 euro.

 • in my country P30 and mate 20 pro somehow got the same price, and much more cheaper for a second hand mate 20 pro. which one do you guys think is a better deal?

 • P30, Mate 20 or Honor View 20? P30 is about $200 more than the other 2 but is the performance upgrade worth it?

 • P20 Pro or P30 (Non-pro)? I am trying to identify a material difference between the two please help!

 • hOW?

 • p30 is better

 • Mate 20 or P30?? Help me please!!!

 • P30 of course

 • Look like both of us are the ex SAMSUNG user. You are a flagship user while I am low end and midrange user. I have used SAMSUNG only for the past five years until Christmas last year I have moved to HUAWEI. How about you?

 • Now I am Iphone 8 user. Previous had Huawei P8 , P9, P10. But is it worth to change from Iphone 8? My main reason is camera.

 • It even goes down by 8% to 10% if you'll leave your mobile data on.

 • Can't you spend additional $5 for a tempered glass? A good one will not just protect the screen but your eyes as well. -,-

 • Gotta agreed with u pal. They made it sound like they're using their phone to hammer a nail onto the concrete wall every now and then LOL

 • Battery is good but I hope they improve it. Mi 9 has smaller battery and bigger screen but lasts longer!

 • P30 (Non Pro) or P20 Pro?

 • They always have the same standby times from previous year damn

 • Was it so hard for them to feature OIS in the main camera? What the hell?

 • Take care of your phone, same as you take care of your family and love one. No need gorilla glass or diamond glass such gimmick things.

 • Finally...Huawei has something that I've been waiting for so long!! The trio setup truly covered all my need as casual photographer when I backpack around the countries. Both wide + ultrawide camera is surprisingly sharp (never suffer from soft corner issue), 3x Tele is very useable and AF is as fast as any dual pixel sensor out there! Low light is superb & surprisingly surpassed my expectations when I compared to my trustworthy Sammie Note FE and S9. No OIS, No problem! Just Point-and-Shoot like nobody's business and get great shots! No regret getting the P30 as a replacement for my main shooter now.

 • How much percentage of battery does it drop When you go to sleep and after you wake up . Mine is 5 percent . Is is normal?

 • It does have glass. All any other glass scratches from level 6.

 • This screen has very similar area of a 5.8" 16:9. It has 3650 mAh and 7nm Kirin 980. This battery test should score more than 100. XA2 Ultra has 6" 16:9, 14nm cpu, LCD and 3580mAh = 100h Samsung A7 2018 with same screen area, 14nm cpu and 3300mAh = 93h

 • Probably an unspecified version of Gorilla Glass like the Nokia phones from 2017. Huawei's own toughened glass is another guess of mine.

 • They should at least do something like Samsung did with circle around their hole. So it could be around the notch or some few pixels under the notch as a dot.

 • That was on official site in specs. But it seem to be removed. No longer there. were tested under controlled laboratory conditions with a rating of IP67 under IEC standard 60529 Could have been copypaste from other specs, but could be true and could have been removed to avoid lawsuits in case if it fails.

 • No Gorilla Glass? What protects the screen? Hate to spend this much money on a phone only to have the screen shatter like an iPhone when it falls off the table.

 • Does P30 record video and audio files in stereo? How good is recorded sound and channel separation? How sound quality of recorded videos compares to Samsung or Sony,...? GSMArena should test that too, not just image quality.

 • Where did you read that P30 is tested against IP67, but not certified???

 • Same thoughts..i really miss the led

 • How much is the selling price for SAMSUNG S10 in your country? And how much is the selling price for HUAWEI P30 in your country?

 • I'm playing with P30 for almost 2 weeks, switched from Samsung A5 2017. I was choosing between Mi9, Mi Mix 3 5G and Mate 20. Why I've decided to purchase this model ? Amoled, 7nm, can't accept bigger size, 3.5mm mini jack, great camera What was giving me headache - notch, no notification led, no IP68 Overall I'm very satisfied, photos are very nice, screen is fine so far, fingerprint reader is working OK (needed about a week to get used to it). Battery life is also very good, SOT about 5h + listening to music on 4G for 2-3 hours per day via BT, 2-3h total of browsing www, few pictures, shopping and news. All time on WiFi or 4G (switched off only during night). Battery is lasting over 2 days in this case, recently I had like 2d 16h and 18% left. I do not use GPS for most of the time.

 • no wireless charging y!? how u gonna compete with s10 n no front flash 40w charging USB port on top is a big down side

 • beautiful I like I like ,camera amazing ,its clear ,nice

 • Another major issue poped with that Huawei didn't tel about. $700 phone doesn't have any notification LED!

 • Totally agree with ^^^^^ If P30 is within your budget and you are considering buying it, and you are used to notches and the absence of headphone jack, the Mate 20 Pro would be the more valuable option, since it would roughly be the same price as P30 by now. Larger 4k screen, bigger battery, similar cameras, ip68 waterproofing, 40W charging, wireless & reverse wireless charging, ir blaster, 3d face unlock and stereo speakers due to notch

 • What's the SAR Value of this phone?

 • great for 7 hours SOT

 • just got it yesterday, damn man what da hell!? this is one of most great hp.. gaming test no problem all checked man nice thing tht i got this babe of mine oh yeah

 • Still no battery rating on this one ?

 • If only the pro came with a flat screen, why curved one, hate so much those screens I can live with no audio jack, with that uncomfy size, but no with that curved screen

 • What was the selling price for SAMSUNG Galaxy Note 8 during the time it was released? In my country, the price of SAMSUNG Note 8 was 985 Dollar during the time it was released. And how about HUAWEI P30? It just 665 Dollar only. It is impossible for SAMSUNG Note 8 do not have wireless charging if they charge for that high price.

 • How is Mate 20 is better option, when it's a GIANT shovel, has worse main camera and only 54 mm telephoto camera without IS to 80 mm with IS of P30? And P30 is easier to hold to make photos in winter and heavy wind, as you can hold it by the back, not by the edge, as camera is placed on the edge. Mate 20 and S10 are difficult to hold while making photos, as you can't hold it by the backcover, as finger will be visible in camera.

 • Tested the 50x zoom on Pro model. Can peek at neighbours very well. SERIOUSLY DOPE!

 • If you really want to upgrade.. good battery life with good performace go for mate 20...if you want an average battery life with very good performance go for p30. Honestly i wouldn't bother with an upgrade from mate 10 it's not worth the extra cash but yeah

 • MATE 20 will be better option.

 • Pro has no jacky, this is de wei the Huawei! O3O

 • P30 have stereo speaker? Only know P30 Pro dont have right?

 • What is the issue with 3.5mm jack? I can live even without it. The package comes with USB type C to 3.5mm adaptor.

 • Well my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 still charge wirelessly even with a cover.

 • No!

 • Does it have led notification?

 • Huawei P30 vs Huawei Mate 20? Which one is better, if upgrading from Huawei Mate 10.

 • In my opinion, I don't think that other devices will get wireless charging with a cover on it like the HUAWEI P30. Then you have to be careful if the memory card is suddenly broken and you will lost all your photos and videos that time.

 • I recommend the P30 over the P20 pro for the following reasons: - Better processor. This is more powerful and doesn't heat up like the Kirin 970 - More compact Size - The camera is better, Especially for the wide lens and the zoom - The front camera is significantly better. The P20 Pro's sucks - Better screen with more ppp - Expandable memory with Nmcard but the memory of the P20 Pro is not expandable at all - Jack 3.5 mm - Is lighter - It will probably have more software updates than the P20 series.

 • Lol no it is not. P30 both on camera software & hardware are superior than XZ2 Premium. P30 using sony imx6XX series, XZ2 Premium using sony imx4XX series. Check your sources back.

 • This requires fat case and locks USB port. So it's not an option. And saying that way, every device out there has wireless charging. Even if i save everything in cloud i still need a lot with myself.

 • go with the p30pro $1050 its better

 • why is it that my xz2 premium is better on low light. is it because huawei uses sony imx but lower than what sony puts on their phone?

 • HUAWEI P30 has wireless charging (with a cover on it). Just put all your photos and videos to the cloud storage, no need any memory cards.

 • Go with P30. OIS on P20 Pro only at telephoto lens, not main lens. Camera software on P30 are more mature, even the EIS is very good, stabilized video compare to shaky P20 Pro. U will loose IP68, but the rest of the specs? A lot better in P30.

 • Would really like to give P30 a try, because of its great camera. But no wireless charging...and nano memory card...NO buy. Hopefully Huawei will learn the lesson for P40 ? Afraid not.

 • I am not sure which one to buy, the P20 pro or P30 (Not pro). In Thailand the price for p20 pro has dropped to around 600$ and P30 stands at 700$. My main reason to buy one of these is photography. 1. They almost have identical camera, but p20 pro is ios 2. P20 pro had higher ips 3. P30 has in screen unlock 😁 Please suggest and help.

 • well its better, not worse atleast so u dont get worse performance no..

 • Yeah better wait for 2 or 3 of vanilla P30 proper review before u buy it. Main thing is buy things that u use most. - Performance wise, both are excellent in real life. - Photography, P30 Pro. - Videography, i would say its a tie. S10 nails it on 4k stability plus got 60fps (which i would not use anyway), P30 4k stability still good, at least above average for me. But 1080p stability on P30 are so good that even better than S10 Steady Shot. Best part is, P30 video mod got that Leica vivid & smooth color option, makes your recording publish ready without the needs of hassle to edit in Lightroom later, saves time. - Battery wise, P30, period. - Sound, S10 because of that bundled earphone, but P30 not bad, both got Dolby Atmos. - Screen, both using Samsung Amoled. I think i just made your decision harder lol.

 • They actually lowered price for 120 euro. It's now 680 euro / 49990 rub on preorder in Europe, including VAT. But i'm still very dubious myself as well. Lack of wireless charging is quite important to me, so as IP67 protection, though official site says P30 is tested against IP67, but not certified. Lack of infrared port is not much important, but would be quite useful. So it's now 95 euro cheaper than S10e, but S10e is more adequate in size, also comes with AKG in-ear headphones, P30 only comes with cheap earbuds, comes with OTG adapter, has wireless charging, IP68 protection, IrDA port and support 4 times!!! cheaper microSD cards!!! I repeat - FOUR TIMES CHEAPER! 128 GB cost 6000 rub to 1500 rub. That's insane. S10e is also looks much better in front. But P30 is better on the back. But I would like to have white P30, but here in Europe we will only have Crystal and Aurora colors. They only thing about S10e is that it doesn't have telephoto camera. But it records better videos. P30 videos are very jerky. GPU is incapable to encode smooth at given bitrate. S10e does video smoother and has wider ultrawide camera - 12 mm to 17 mm of P30. P30 Pro has 16 mm ultrawide camera. So I don't know. I can go with S10, but that is a bit big. P30 has near same size, but at least it doesn't have round edges. For a large device round edges are very uncomfortable to use. I wasn't able to open notification panel one hand with S9, as palm was touching edge of the screen. So waiting for indepth P30 review here to decide. Hope they will also give a try with water. At least 20-30 cm depth in 10 minutes.

 • So is the 3.5mm output good, or at least better than my s7 egde?

 • The 128+8 GB P30 should be cheaper than the 128+8 S10, but the 128+6 P30 will be cheaper than both

 • No wireless charger,c'mon huawei,s10 its better for the same price

 • Another Heating GPU... not trusted in long term usage.

 • Looks like it doesn't...

 • Its the other way around. Huawei has the best battery life.

 • Just put all the photos and videos to the cloud storage and no need to worry about the memory card suddenly broke down and you will lost all your photos and videos.

 • Does it have an IR blaster?

 • I want this one....... ;)

 • Longer battery life? Maybe on an iPhone but not on a Samsung phone nowadays.

 • When they tested it. Obviously.

 • Does this phone have an always on display?

 • @GSMArena, when you will put Battery Rating ?

 • They have had nano memory since the Mate 20 pro so ppl should know about it.

 • Where is the review?

 • Can someone confirm this? Camera differences between P30 and P30 pro are: main: P30 doesn't have OIS ultrawide: P30 has 4 MP less zoom: P30 has 3x optical, P30 pro 5x And TOF camera on the P30 pro But in the end this aren't really big differences and the photos (especially normal photos with the main camera) should be more or less the same, right?

 • Since you have the phone, can you please let me know if it has a multi-colour LED notification light like the P20? Thanks.

 • Nano memory card...?? What's the point, except disapointing customers who will discover it when they have already bought the phone and regret it.

 • I got the phone myself and can confirm it doesn't need OIS as the AI does a splendid job in the stabilizing department

 • I got the phone myself and I can confirm that it does. It works along with the sensors of the device, as soon as you lift it or take it out of your pocket the fingerprint sensor activates. I'll say it takes about 0.3-0.6ms to unlock your phone through the fingerprint sensor.

 • Is there any way to wake up the phone and unlock it, when touch the fingerprint area on the screen and the screen is off ? In other words: screen is off, touch fingerprint area - unlock the phone ?

 • In our part of the world the price difference between the p30 and p30 pro is $300 so probably going for the non pro version.

 • Just to give you a comparison, Mate20 Pro cameras do not have OIS, but are amazing in its photo and video quality, and the specs of Mate20 Pro and P30 cameras are identical (except for the ultta wide cam: 20MP for Mate20 Pro and 16MP for P30). Therefore, even with the absence of OIS, you can expect P30 to shoot great photos and videos with EIS and AIS, with equal or even better quality than Mate20 Pro.

 • been a year using Huawei because of its style, software features, and cheaper compare to Samsung and Apple, however now I prefer to go back to Samsung or APPLE because of its durability been using apple and Samsung more than 3 years, longer battery life etc, hard ware and software, unlike Huawei I found a lot of dis advantage. especially in the battery life, internal memory capacity, sim slot good for 1 sim etc.

 • coz its huawei, it likes to shoot itself in the leg, hopefully eis and ai will their jobs and make up for it, waiting for someone to review the cameras

 • Does anyone know why there is no ois on the main shooter but there is on the wide lens???

 • dimensions will decide, oneplus 7 is likely to be in the same body as oppo f11 pro or oppo reno which taller than or similar to my current mate 9 but still hoping, also if OP7 is larger the p30 will drop in price definitely.

 • In Malaysia, vanilla P30 will be priced at $700 which is a pretty good deal. And i can bet that next Oneplus 7 also will starts at $700. And for that, each phone got it pros & cons, all i can see is Oxygen OS for Oneplus, Cameras for P30. U choose.

 • Yes the under display fingerprint scanner is working fine with the screen protector on it. Just the one on SAMSUNG S10 series cannot function when there is a screen protector on it.

 • Just put all your photos and videos to the cloud storage. No need to worry about the memory card suddenly broke down and you will lost all your photos and videos.

 • Battery draining process between Exynos and Qualcomm version of the SAMSUNG S10 series cannot be fixed with software updates. Because the problems are coming from the manufacturing process between SAMSUNG and TSMC. Previously this problem has occurred on IPhone also. That time both SAMSUNG and TSMC are manufacturing the chip for Apple. But the users found out that the chip by TSMC far better in terms of battery consumption. That's why after that Apple is sticking with TSMC only to manufacture their chip.

 • Totally agree, prices should also drop a little bit by then.

 • this phone is on my very short list but won't buy until June, gonna see what oneplus 7 is going to offer, what i look for in a phone now is (dimensions + performance) then battery life, my mate 9 is aging and it's dimensions are becoming annoying by the day. s10 & s10e has in screen camera which i find worse than a notch that can be hidden, and the lg g8 won't be sold where i am. Hopefully someone well review its camera, all media is focusing on p30 pro

 • I´d go for the S10e. Smaller and with wireless charge. The battery is smaller but you say moderate use so 3.100 mAh are enough. Many people are complaining about fast battery drain of S10e but they forget (or don´t consider) all the learning process of the AI while it optimize process based on your personal use... Such learning process, once finished, shouldn´t consume so much energy. And (my guess) there must be a difference in such power draining process between the exynos and the qualcomm chipsets. But that could be fixed with software updates

 • Well huawei again nailed all the competition. In next 20-30 years they will sells equal number of devices per year than the rest of the competitors together. Like in past Nokia did.

 • P30: bigger display, better battery, better camera for photgraphy, 3x zoom camera, better video recording in bad light conditions, earlier android updates, nice gift if you buy it in preorder S10e: better scores in benchmarks, better camera for video recording in good light conditions, wireless charging, better speakers (2 speakers, so you have a stereo effect) The decision is yours :)

 • I don't want to buy another memory card and another card reader...so no buy for me. Even if its camera seems great. S10 for me.

 • s10e

 • this P30, or Samsung galaxy s10e ?

 • Mate 20: What are you? P30: Aside from a smaller screen (subjective to preference), a smaller battery, and the absence of FM Radio as well as an IR Blaster, I'm you, but better in almost every other way :) - 6.1 inch OLED for P30, 6.53 inch IPS for Mate 20 - P30 Pro has an identical 40MP Main Cam and 8MP Telephoto Cam as the Mate 20 Pro (so expect great camera capability even from the supposedly "inferior" variant of the P30 series!), but with different sensors (RYYB Sensor instead of the conventional RGGB Sensor). - The different color sensor enables greater light intake, and hence excellent Night Shot Photos for the P30 series smartphones, which may even trump photos taken by the Mate 20 Pro, especially in low light conditions! Conclusion: P30 (non-pro) >>>> Mate 20 (non-pro), if you are willing to fork out the extra cash for the incredible triple cam setup on the P30 (very similar to Mate 20 Pro's cam setup just as a reference), athough Mate 20's triple cam is already very good imho (I am a Mate 20 non pro user)

 • yes they do, I have a vivo v 15 pro with screen protector, it works perfectly, faster than any normal fingerprint sensor

 • well if you go to duty-free tech it start at 499 euro for p30.

 • yes, with tempered glass in my case.

 • >3.5mm jack: Yes All is good in this forsaken world.

 • Does these under display fingerprint scanners work with a screen protector?

 • The Huawei P30 also has a flat display similar to the Samsung Galaxy S10e, so if you do not like that curved edge display (some people love it, some people hate it), avoid the P30 Pro and get the P30. But it only has 3x optical zoom instead of the 5x optical zoom on the P30 Pro, might be less helpful if you like to spy from a far distance.

 • The P30 Pro is IP68: water and dust resistant. The P30 is IP53: splash resistant.

 • Yes.. it's good, body and screen size both r good. 68mm will be better. Need 1020p@280fps, 480fps.

 • what about ip ???

 • Comparison between P30 (Non Pro) and Mate 20 Pro: - Very Similar Triple Camera Setup (except for the Color Spectrum RYB Sensor on P30 which is interesting, as opposed to the conventional RGB Sensor for Mate 20 Pro) - Slightly worse selfie camera for Mate 20 Pro as compared to P30 (although Huawei selfie cameras are generally not that good compared to the ones out in the market, particularly due to the absence of auto focus) - Bigger OLED Screen & Higher Resolution for Mate 20 Pro - Bigger Battery for Mate 20 Pro - IP68 for Mate 20 Pro, IP53 for P30 - 40W Super Charge + Wireless/Reverse Wireless Charge for Mate 20 Pro, 22.5W Super Charge for P30 - Other Features exclusive to Mate 20 Pro: IR Blaster, Stereo Speakers, Advanced Face Unlock, Big Fat Notch - Other Features exclusive to P30: Audio Jack, Teardrop Notch Conclusion: Mate 20 Pro would generally be the more practical choice (since its price should have dropped to roughly the same price as P30 non pro by the time of its release), if you have no problems forgoing the Audio Jack, and do not mind the fat notch. Its interesting to note that the RYB camera sensor of the P30 may allow it to take better/different photos and videos, so let's observe from stress camera comparison tests.

 • Well nano memory card is available everywhere in online shops, why do you make it complicated?

 • Same price? Price diff where I live is over $300 P30 vs S10.

 • No esim and IP68 for P30 no upgrade!

 • Agree with you. I am missing one hand operable phones

 • 60 dollars for a 128 GB nano memory card, if you can find one. Same speed as regular micro sd but double price...ahahah.

 • Was willing to buy it, but try to go in a phone shop and ask for a nano memory card... or a card reader...cannot understand the logic of Huawei, it will make them lose a lot of sales (the 256 GB version is not available everywhere)

 • At 256GB I don't need expansion memory, I am more on dual SIM functionality. So this is great!

 • hallo everybody! Does this phone p30 supporr wireless charging?

 • Like you ever wanted to by it lol

 • Huawei P30 or Xiaomi mi 9?

 • Both the Mate 20 pro and P30 pro have wireless charging. just not the non pro P30

 • No OIS ????!!!! why Huawei !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 • Oh look everyone. It's another oversized Phonezilla for people with hands like shovels and this one has absolutely no bezels either. How utterly ........ pointless.

 • Nano memory card...big NO. Too bad

 • Help needed guys. P30 or S10e? I'm a moderate user, don't play games on my phone, occasional photos, web browsing, etc. Thx in advance :)

 • 149.1x71.4 nearly same as S10 149.9x70.4. Price is also same, but... no waterproofing, no wireless charging, no cards and card readers in retail, poor earbuds in the box. Camera is better, but that's all. Too much negative points... Very disappointing... And P30 Pro is just absolutely inadequate in size.

 • Wireless charging is available

 • Release date pakistan

 • p30 not has led notifications

 • where are the damn dimensions of P30 ?

 • Because it is a useless thing, that adds weight and thickness to the phone. (and cost) It is NOT hard to connect typeC cable to charge the phone.

 • waiting to make fun with camera of this. the painting and unnatural outputs of huawei handsets are good for instagram. that why i love it.

 • waiting release date

 • huawei mate 20 has wireless charging

 • Why Huawey don't make smartphones with wireless charging?Even it's the new phone on 2019 i don't see this feature.

 • Actually the P30 get Oled screen and headphone jack as well. And I saw some comments about IP rating...The real rating is gonna be IP 53. Cheers.

 • Do we know if it has a LED notification light yet?

 • No Wireless charging = no buy

 • no FM radio=no buy

 • Ip68

 • But they write that it has a NM card slot

 • Same for iPhone with that down syndrome 3 camera back which has been in leaks recently...

 • "Dust and splash resistant" IP67? IP68?

 • They say there is a headphone jack on this page but with an oled display. I really doubt both will be together ... I think it is going to be the same as mate 20 : p30 with jack and lcd, p30 pro with oled without jack.

 • Will there be a 3.5 mm audio output?

 • Will support SD card up to 256 :)

 • its more difficult to tell what android phone people used ....

 • Yes it's so difficult to tell the difference between a Huawei P30 and the iPhone. Lol. Some seriously dumb people on here

 • Spend a bit more reading the question the comment was about Huawei looking like iPhones.

 • No one has a clue what you're saying, spend less time investing in smartphone obsession and more on communicating.

 • Gorilla Glass? IP67/IP68?

 • Copy really which iPhone has a triple camera. Tear drop notch or in screen finger printer reader. I will tell you none. No more a copy of iPhone than a Nokia 3210 is lol

 • We need LTE Bands to support T-Mobile and Verizon

 • Yeah. Phones right now are becoming more and more similar to each other because few companies can come up with a completely original design, so some people just blindly criticize companies for copying other companies. No hate though

 • Which iPhone has a teardrop notch??

 • No micro sd or nm is a deal breaker for me.

 • Duh! Who cares about rooting? I can use it in factory setting with full satisfaction!

 • qi and nfc?

 • They will not provide root access / unlocked bootloader which limits usability. Currently using a Huawei p10 which luckily has root but will not buy another one unless there's root

 • it looks like an iphone but running android. in short a copy

 • They're obviously going to use their own chips though. It also protects them if they get into a situation like the one ZTE got in when they were briefly banned from using American technology and couldn't use Snapdragon chips.

 • I think it would mainly concentrate only on the camera segment and cover up the flaws in P20 Pro and we couldnt expect any flagship from P series as Huawei always tend to release its ultimate technology to its Mate series, P series could also be a benchmark. This sure uses Kirin 980, there is no any roumor or any other information about the Kirin 990 or 985 so much, also Huawei usually introduces its new Kirin chipsets in Mate series. This could have a killer performance in camera, display and battery segments based on past trends in huawei launch history.

 • In my opinion the P series should come with the SD 855. Not that Kirin 980 is a bad chipset, it's just that Huawei should keep the lead with a new chipset. If they do that it will boost sales even further.....

 • As P30 series will be launched end next month, it would be logical for Huawei to release the 5G with the new chipset on Mate 30 series. -,-

 • Think it would be a kirin 985 if it will have 5G

 • IR blaster? The P-series are known to have this

 • There is no other Kirin 900's after 980. Next Kirin will be 1020 and i don't think so that it will be inside P30

 • it must be Kirin 985 or 990 (7nm) it's 2019

 • Availability of QHD+ AMOLED panels for Huawei P30 and other flagship series. According to digitimes.com (1-24-2019): "BOE will manage to lower the unit production cost of its 6.39-inch QHD+ AMOLED panels to US$80 in the fourth quarter of 2018 compared to US$60 seen at Samsung Display. The production costs of the two companies will approach to even in the first quarter of 2019, with prospects of seeing BOE's production cost to become lower than that at Samsung Display by the end of 2019."

 • Huawei's 5G foldable phone will be announced within 30 days.

 • According to the rumors from Honor and Huawei, 5G smartphones are technically fully ready. The first wave of Honor and Huawei 5G phones may come as early as March.

 • Huawei may use a new cpu Kirin985 for P30. (It will be ready for 5G.) When Huawei introduces Kirin990 in mid-year 2019, it will again decimate SD855. Wait for that.

 • Kirin980 is the best CPU for all android smartphones released in 2018. Kirin980 is way ahead of SD845 in tests conducted by many sites, ~30% better or more for most categories. Google the internet for such results. In terms of AI benchmarks, Kirin980 is 1000% better than SD845, its like 2200+ vs 200+, not even remotely close. In short, Kirin980 decimated SD845.

 • Phone looks great but this is just a rumor. It get a lot better over time with a much more info.

 • Jack and for what??? Only small kids hear music 24/7 to ignore their parents and refuse their tasks.

 • Real life performance is better than phones with the latest qualcomm chipsets. The benchmarks don't tell everything.

 • Don't forget that usa companies are also spying on us Just like Google , Facebook ...

 • Can we all agree, once and for all, that Kirin 980 can achieve top tier 10NM performance but mediocre 7NM performance

 • its is good though...better than any samsung phone

 • If there is no ip67/68 like previous version then phone 👎

 • poor 40mp combine by low quality leica optics. just use a good optics huawei use a mature and well trusted optics/imaging. look at your 40mp captures its very close to painting outputs

 • Everybody who is accusing Huawei of spying and criminial either lives in a cave/under a stone of Patrick star for like 10 years or nationalist. Xiaomi, ZTE, Lenovo (Motorola) and Huawei were accused of using spyware in 2015 already. So everyone with any Huawei till now is being spied already. On the otherhand, is it such a big risk? If Huawei would hack bridges and full goverment systems, it would be suicide for them because there is an Huawei in every part of the world. Everyone would ban them phones and tech. Then the company is... gone. To me it seems like an US - China war in products and accusations. I'm not an Huawei fan (proof for you: i bought an iPhone XR 128GB yesterday) but all those accusations are getting out of hand now. Rape here, spyware there. Most people don't know the history of those accusations and therefor if they're true or not.

 • what are the camera specs? and where do you live? this is cool

 • only huawei has the guts to fo spying and selling information.

 • huawei year 2018 is the only year that the company started to be known by their martphone devices in other countries before they don't care about it. huawei had struggles also like samsung before. here in our country its an asian country 2% on the population only uses their device they stores are very lonely because you cannot see buyers inside

 • make a compact phone and make it affordable with a good specs

 • If its very compact, has 8+128/256GB memory, stereo speakers, Headphone jack, a triple camera, 4000 mAh battery then I'd consider this to be my next phone.

 • I'm currently testing this phone. I can confirm that it does have Leica branding and its the same camera setup and sensors found on the Mate 20 Pro. The headphone jack is there as well as stereo speakers. No wireless charging included but it does have a 4000mah battery and under display fingerprint reader.

 • why no Lieca optics???

 • No Headphone Jack = No Buy

 • facebook aslo can get ur information. lol! once you use internet all company using ur info.

 • Well, I'm rather waiting for P30 Compact, which will not gonna happen.

 • As long as you are connected to the internet, they will be spying on you. Doesn't matter what's the brand. Stop being so naive.

 • i cant wait that huawei can gather my information again

 • I highly doubt it will be 6gb ram only. Huawei are also on 8gb standards now.

 • i think this not the final design or the final specs wait for it

 • Awesome Huawei! can't wait to see P30 pro and mate 30 pro
