A very good phone with a very large display. The minus points are 1. The MAC address of the phone changes every time it is switched OFF and ON. Hence the wi-fi can not be used where binding of the MAC address is done. 2. Genuine Batteries are not available. Even the Karbonn showrooms do not supply the same.

I bought this phone (A30) in July 2013 and within year, after 10 months of purchase (under warranty) the audio jack went off. Soon after audio jack another problem detected with the charging mechanism. In an instance the phone showed the full charge as 100% and the moment i removed the cable, within 10 seconds i could hear the low battery beep. Since day one whenever i tried for system update the error message "No network" appeared where as the phone was always on wifi network (office/home). Ultimately i decided to send the model to service centre, which i found luckily close to my work place. They took the phone and asked me to contact after 10 days. After 10 days they didn't have any info on the set as it was sent to the company. eventually after 20 days it arrived and at the service centre i was told that the motherboard was changed but at the same time it was detected that the touch was not working. So they took it back. Ultimately it was handed over to me when only 3 days were left in the official warranty. They consumed more then 1 month of warranty in their occupancy. And just after 5 days of warranty over, i again found that the audio jack was again not working and when i reported it back to the service centre, i was told that the warranty is over and it will be on charged basis. The set, when i bought was kind of a low budget - high feature phone but the component quality is of third grade. It is better to crash the phone with hammer rather then wasting your time and money in its repairing. So, my advise to buyers is not to go for this third class phone as it will be a waste of money (After one year of warranty).

I purchased a Karbonn A30 in August 2013. I am giving it a one star. Not because the handset has any problems.. but because it has poor battery life, and the battery is not available for purchase. So I will have to junk the phone. The behavior of the service center, call center and customer support is unbelievable. Sometimes I am advised to visit another city to purchase the battery, if it is not available in my own city. Sometimes I get junk mails, with automated messages, informing me that "handset is pending for part at the service center", or "due to the part problem the set is under repair process now and the same has been escalated to the concerned service department also". The company should be closed down. It is a fraud. In fact the service center people had informally warned me that the battery will never be available and I was just wasting my time, corresponding with the company.

although a bit slow in booting, this phone was working fine until one day it got dipped in water accidentally. thereafter no sound is coming, display is not working properly but touch is working fine. i gave it to the service centre and after a waiting period of 2 long months they could not manage to replace the display screen. the most disgusting service experience ever.

Karbonn A30 is not a bad phone at the first instance. For the price, it is certainly value for money. It has features of a 23K priced branded phone. What is irking is poor quality of after sales service. Despite several complaints and feedback, it has not hit the head of the company. The reason is simple. It is able to make profit without bothering on ASS. Once sales dip, usually these guys sell off and launch new brand. Even branded phones have same functionality problems. Buy a phone for communication purpose. It will work well. Remember, a clerk cannot work to the efficiency level of a CEO.

I have purchase a Karbonn A30 phablet last year. At the first time it was working good but approximately 5 or 6 months latter I fached a problem with battery back up. If I charge fully it gives back up for only 5 or 6 hours approximatly on 3g network second problem is with display. Company says it's sixteen million colour but it doesn't give a good clearity on playing video & the last thing is it can't upgraded to jelly bean or any other latest android version. Don't go for Karbonn A30. It just lost of money.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. again after 48 days there was no response form the company or from the service center then another mail to company how long will it take the company reply: With reference to your mail, we would like to inform you that your handset part had already been dispatched from Delhi Head Office. We would also like to inform you that service center will contact you as they receive the handset part. after 7 days i again went to the service center they said that we have not received any parts from the company again i wrote to the company that the service center said they have not received any parts the company Replied: With reference to your query, we would like to inform you that the handset part had already been dispatched with the Madhur courier and the docket number is 8008921677. We would also like to suggest you to communicate with same service center to resolve the same at the earliest. i tracked the dispatched no to the site of Madhur courier the tracked record said invalid number. then i again wrote to the company that your madhur courier number was a fake there was no answer from the company the reply was this: With reference to your mail, we would like to request you to communicate with service center in-charge to resolve the same at the earliest. now try this karbonn call center no 18001024660 this is also a fake number your will receive a engage tone if connected after you are in Que after three time the call will be cut and still after two and half month i have still not received my mobile and now no answer from service center or the company and now to run to the consumer court with all the proof INDIA verse company KARBONN

Last year on november i bought karbonn A30 and A7* and one for my girl friend. At the beginning the battary is very good it last very long. But after using two months with the internet, i faced many problems, the battary life has decreased very very much and i need to charge three times a day. Sometimes while charging the battary cannot increase even if i charged 5 hrs. So, after all these, my opinion regarding karbonn android phone is. The charger of A-30 is a big problem. It is not a typical Android charger. No other android phone charger can be be used on A-30 because it has a deeper socket for inserting charger pin. The charger pin of A-30 is longer hence can be used on this phone but the charger pins of other android phones are shorter hence can not fully penetrate the charging socket. Due to this, other android chargers can't be used on this phone. God forbid, if A-30 charger is out of order then you can't charge this phone at all. Its charger is not available in the market also.

Bro, you could search the internet for jellybean update. There is a jb 4.2 update which requires the handset to be rooted. Just make sure you get a backup of your handset and the stock rom files.

At first, i was impressed by the sound and the picture quality but later, i realised there were long term problems with this phone. 1. Auto rotation 2. Unable to get body covers 3. Software is unstable sometimes the phone restarts on its own 4. Screen touch is giving a problem now its been just 6 months. I think it will last for an year.

Dear friends I purchased this phone through tradus.com website. But this phone lokk nice and good performance. There are some drawback on it . 1. Camera is so so poor even it claim as it has 8MP camera but the photo clarity is not good , a 2MP camera of samsung and LG will give more pic clarity than this ( I have used samsung , LG , nokia ,sony ericson and fly , now karbonn ) 2. Audio music clarity is good , but calling audio sound is so bad , if you are standing outside ,you cannot hear anything what the person at other end speaks , if you put the call on speaker , your ear wil get pain and the phone is getting heated up very fast 3. One of the major drawback of this phone is the time it takes for charging. It takes nearly 4 hours to fully charge the battery. The conventional karbonn charger sucks. Its better u buy another charger, it really comes handy. Also the screen color is 256k compared to other phones in the same range that sports 16M, the accessories feels cheap , but the phones built quality is superb.....have a great day....

Karbonn a30 is a good android smartphone for beginners. It runs on Android 4.0.4. Though the cell phone market is growing at an exorbitant rate with newer version of the OS every six months. This is worth a buy for the Price, huge screen,camera and battery backup....go for it....forget about the service , since no one's gonna keep the same handset for more than 2 years....

I bought this mobile, from friends show room. First day only found problem, network not detecting properly. Next day I gave for replacement @ Jayanagar 7th block service center, they used my cellphone for 3 weeks, then they said replacement not possible. Then I through my friend who sold me this mobile, I paid extra and bought Karbonn titanium S5. Which also had many issues. So I gave to Service center to fix all problem. In Jayanagar near 4th block. They said 1 week time is required to fix the issue but its been more than 1 month now, still they have not fixed the issue. Karbonn mobiles is of very poor quality. Service is pathetic. Its my humble request dont buy karbonn products.

What a non sense is this!!! Indian products are not of better quality? In this range of price what else would you expect? Android 4.0 , 8mp camera(good quality),bigger screen 5.9 inch, high net speed,bigger battery( though takes long time to charge), better touch responses. I am using a30 since more than a month.I am facing no problem regarding its auto rotation ,battery backup ,downloading etc.It is a good phone in this range.why should we spend 2 or 3 times more for almost same featured phones from non- Indian brands.

Yes the battery is the issue, it will stay alive only for 3 to 4 hour if u use the phone fully as games,music and apps. Even the model is not handily it is very big and heavy also. i will suggest u to don't go for it.

karbonn A30 is a good phone with all features and touch controls also good,it has 2 major problems- while using top portion is getting heated and other is auto rotation problem,auto rotation problem can be solved in service center.Heating problem in my mobile is not solved yet,in service center 2 times the mother board as changed till the problem is not solved if any solution pl let me know.

Boss, I don't know what people are saying. I have used many phones in past and currently using Karbonn A30 from Jan 2013. It is undoubtedly the best phone i ever had. I have reasons to say this. First of all I use phone a lot. Besides talking, I do conferencing, I enjoy listening music, watching videos, downloading stuff from internet, I use Bluetooth for sharing + Wi-fi, 3G, 2G (GPRS), GPS with voice assisted navigation using google maps. I play games by downloading from google play store (temple run 2, subway surfer etc), I watch youtube, take pictures & videos, I do video calling, I surf the net a lot, I email a lot by opening pages with Javascripts, Ajax, adobe flash etc. Everything works smoothly. It uses browser cache for faster page retrieval. I transfer phone data to PC. I use voice commands and voice search. By default Karbonn A30 is having two browsers, 2 galleries etc. Phone is awesome. One day I clicked on google sync for experimentation, now all my contacts are also present in gmail, so even if my phone get missed my contacts remain up-to-date with gmail. Moreover some of my phone contact list automatically started showing the profile pictures of the other person, i.e. phone automatically picked the pictures from net, so now when they call me I get their picture on screen, and I have done nothing for this. This phone surprises me with its new features every now and then. Today I got to know that I can take mobile screen-shot by pressing lower volume button along with lock button together. Has anybody used the new gesture typing while sending SMS/email, it is mind-blowing feature. Now I don't need to tap on each key while composing any message. My A30's battery last long for 3 days of moderate use. Its task manager is super cool. 8 MP camera makes images with larger size (in bytes), but quality is not up to the mark, clarity/sharpness is missing. Its service center is 2 KM from my house. It gives descent impression on your friends/colleagues. I now believe that 5.9" screen is little bigger than what a mobile phone should have. My A30 is bulky but it never hangs. It opens word xls PDF notepad ppt xml etc with ease. Its multi-touch is superb. Phone speed is good. Crux is that, ... there could be a little tit-bit issues in there but in a price like this (under 10K) one can hardly get such features. I believe A30 is having all the features that a Samsung S3 or iPhone5 or a blackberry would be having.

I bought Karbonn A18 for Rs9500 in September 2012. In feb 2013 display started to flick i submitted my device to Karbonn Klinic i.e Dhir Electronics then this was the service:- Feb 9th 2013 Device was submitted to Karbonn and as per them this was a software issue. Feb 12th 2013 They returned my Device but this problem was still there so i resubmit my device to be sent Delhi for few days to repair. March 5th 2013 I received my device and the problem was still there but i need my phone for work purpose so i decided to let it be and start using it. March 11th 2013 Device started to flick even more and now complete display was unreadable and complete display was needed to be changed. March 12th 2013 I submitted my device in hope that this Karbonn will not let me down and will send me device after fixing as soon as possible. March 28th 2013 I got the news from Karbonn Delhi that the device has been received on 26th March and it came to me as a shocker. As i submitted it 15 days back back and in their conversation they told me that they are going to call the device ASAP. April 10th 2013 I got a device from Karbonn which was by mistake handed over to me and as per the athourities i can use that device till i get mine back. April 16th 2013 I got a replaced device from Karbonn which was even more bad. Display was full of dust and lots of scratches. I made first call and device hanged and was immediately submitted back to Karbonn for again sending to Delhi. Till then my device is with Karbonn. They are not answering my emails now and they are not even talking to me as well. I am helpless. I have email records and conversations with them also i have call logs and i can try to get call details as well. I have the original bill and replacement serial number document signed by karbonn as well. --

Another working solution follow instruction Switch off ur a30 wait till it vibrate then go into recovery by pressing volume up + power key then press home key Now using volume rocker navigate to "wipe chache partition" Now touch on option key tehn reboot.

Hello Guys , as promised I am back with the fix for the Auto Rotation .sorry for the delay , this week has been really busy .. Before starting to fix it , I would like to tell you about the problem first ..Almost every A30 user has the same problem with this phone and the worst part is that even the service centres don't have any fix or proper explanation for this problem .It really sucks when the Auto Rotation gets stoned and we aren't able to play games or watch movies etc ... The fix for this problem is so easy and simple that it does not require any sort of technical expertise . I would like to resolve the solution in two parts :- 1- How to fix auto rotation when it gets stoned 2- How to prevent it from stoning in future .. The steps are very simple so don't blame me for giving such an easy fix ,but trust me guys , this works 100%... 1 How to fix if Auto rotation has stopped :- It happens most often that when you are about to play any game or video , then suddenly you find that the motion sensor controls are not working . Dont worry , this problem could be solved very simply . All you need to do is a- Switch off the mobile b-take off the battery c-restart the phone after inserting the battery.. BINGO!! The auto start must work as fine as it should always be .. But the auto rotation with soon get stoned after few days or even hours ...now we need to stop it from being stoned again 2-How to prevent the Auto Rotation from stoning again :- The phone could be easily prevented from stoning just by this simple step , Guys all you need to do is to keep the Auto Rotation turned off when not being used , the auto rotation could be easily turned off from the easy access bar above the Notification Area .You may simply turn it on From the Easy access bar whenever you need it , but please don't leave it on when not being used ..Turn on the Auto rotation just when you are about to use it before playing games etc ... Guys if you follow the above steps , you could easily enjoy your Auto Rotation without taking out the a battery or taking it to the service centre.... Any one of you feeling any doubt or difficulty could easily ask me for help , I am always ready for help .. Hello Annu , I would like to tell you that this phone does not has magnetic compass sensor , though this phone has latest G-sensor and other sensors bit still , it is deprived of Magnetic Compass Sensor ..And as you said that A-GPS works great in this phone , I agree to what you said and it is true that A-GPS works great but still I would like to tell you that this has nothing to do with the Magnetic sensor and A-GPS works fine with many other phones without magnetic compass as well ...

Hi....just go to the folder where your MP3 songs or rings tones are saved, than select all or the one you likes, after selecting the songs click the first button with 3 dash, the one which is on the left side of home button, you will get the multiple options to copy and all, if still u can not do so, just connect your phone to PC with cable, turn off the USB sharring, open the file manager of phone from PC, go to ringtones opetions and copy & pest the songs u like....if anything more help you require please do let me know on [email protected]

i used it 2 days n pros r- good battery back up, good sound, big screen feels different, loud fm in headphones cons r- big size n four touch pad is small i hav not used mmx110 so don know about it n note i hav no rotation problem bcoz i usually keep its rotation off. the phablet is so big its doesnt need any rotation. so think twice.

auto rotation initially give some problem then it get fixed on its own also the 8 MP camera is not so effective and the pixels will burst with zooming so not good for zoom photography as far as pricing is concerned I bought it for my wife with a mind set of one year every app runs on its OS 4 android so best deal to gift your wife its better to change a cheap phone after a year because technology is changing fast and I will not block 35000 on phone so 9 out of 10 for this phone too big to fit in pocket

Its not any nonsense , the phone is great , thougj I agree that the auto auto rotation feature is the drawback in this phone and its a disappointing fact that even the service centres don't have a fix for this ... However I have been using this phone since a long time by now and have formulated a temporary fix for this problem ...And I feel that this fix is the best indeed because it is the only thing which can be done ... I wanted to post the fix here but couldn't find enough users who are facing this problem so it would be a waste of my time and energy if I post it here and the users don't need it ... so I am just waiting for reviews facing similar problem ...

Hey Guys, I brought this device 1 month before, m completely dissatisfy with battery backup. only 30 % charging done in 3 hrs and completely dries in 1 hrs. I have visited service center within 2 days of purchase of device and those guys could not solve the problem. Another thing, Can anaybody tell me how to move applications from phone memory to SD card memory. In setting storage option, i could not find my 32 gb SD card and unable to transfer app on the same. For all you Karbonn A30 users who are facing the Auto rotation problem , I would like to tell you that I have found out a fully working trick for the fix of this problem ...The people at service centre will not be able to fix this because all what they do is just update the software and it does not help . I would soon post a trick for the fix of this problem and the trick doesn't require any installation of apps or anything like that ... I would post the trick after some time as i am busy now and the trick is lengthy and would require a lot of time to type ... So all you Karbonn A30 users , keep visiting this space frequently ... Kindly reply to this post , giving approval that you really want this trick (otherwise it would be a waste of time for me to type and post it if you guys don't need it. )

I agree to most of the user's who commented on Karbonn A30 & which is a fact that this phone is BAD. I have been facing same issues which has alredy been listed by other user viz:- Auto rotation doesnt work, Earpiece doesnt function due to which i have to attend to calls using speaker, touch response is pathetic, battery gets heated up while charging & also when it is not in use, battery back up is worst which i have experienced, applications work very slow in this phone, camera doesnt work properly, G-sensor which is a unique feature is unique in this phone as it never worked..... etc infact list is endless... Karbon has educated user's on what all problems can be faced while using a cell phone as they have put in all sort of problems in this phone & I am pretty sure this would be existing in other phones of Karbonn... I have learnt a big leason from this experience of KARBONN never go for cheap mobiles or unbranded stuff like KARBONN instead put in extra money & get other branded mobiles so as to make our life easy other than wasting money & taking such a headache... I cant believe I have experienced all these problems in last 20 days of my Karbonn A30 purchase... This would be history in my 10 years of cell phone usage which lasted for 20 days... Karbonn on a serious note please provide better products to consumers to use it for a longer duration which will make them feel worth for money rather than launching such phones which is just a waste of money just a suggestion if you really care for good customer satissfaction coz i just wasted Rs.11,400/- 20 days back with lot of expectation but all in vain... MULTIPLE DEFECTS AND PROBLEMS: KARBONN A30 I had purchased a Karbonn A30 Mobile in Feb 2013 with great expectations, but very soon after purchase the first problem with the mobile set occurred. Since then, a series of various defects/problems have occurred with this set, causing deep disappointment, frustration and very high level of inconvenience to me. Problem No. 01: No Auto Rotation- This was the first problem to take place. This problem was noticed on the third or fourth day after purchase of phone.The problem of Auto-Rotation was solved only temporarily at the Karbonn�s Jaipur Service Cente but after 2-3 days it re-occurred, and since then it has not been solved. [When the Auto Rotation stops working, the Accelerometer also stops working. If we switch off the phone, remove the battery and then refit the battery and restart the phone, then the autorotation and the accelerometer start working again but they again stop working after 1-2 days, and again we have to restart the phone(by removing and refitting the battery)KARBONN HAS NO SOLUTION FOR THIS PROBLEM AND SHOWING TOTAL OF PROFESSIONALISM THEY SAY THAT THIS PROBLEM OCCURS BECAUSE OF NOT PROPERLY EXITING PROGRAMMES(IF IT IS SO THEN WHY DOES'NT IT TAKE PLACE WITH SONY OR SAMSUNG OR MICROMAX PHONES? ALL CRAP)[The Accelerometer name is bma222 3 � Axis Accelerometer] Problem No � 02: Main (Rear) Camera Not Working and Not Being Detected- After 2-3 days of visiting Jaipur Service Centre when I decided to use to Rear Camera, I found that it was not working and phone was getting hanged in case we try to access it. The JAMMU SERVICE CENTRE (Network Communication Contact Person: Sandeep Tikoo ) IS NOT ABLE TO SOLVE THE CAMERA PROBLEM. Problem No � 03: Earpiece (Speaker) Not Working- Few days after purchase, the earpiece speaker of the phone stopped working. So now I am able to attend the phone calls only through speaker-phone & not through normal speaker (earpiece). This is causing huge inconvenience to me. Problem No � 04: Magnetic Field Sensor Not Working- Although the GPS is working absolutely fine but the Magnetic Field Sensor because of which the compass works, is not working. The details of hardware of Magnetic Field Sensor are as follows:- # Name: -Yamaha 530 3 � Axis/Vendor: -AICHI STEEL/ Version: -01/Power: - 0.25 mA/ Range: - 600.0/ Resolution: -0.25/. REPAIR RESPONSE AT JAIPUR SERVICE CENTRE Problem No 1, 2 & 4 were explained and presented to Jaipur Service Centre. They could temporarily rectify Problem No 01, saying that for solving camera problem I will have to leave the set for 15 days, but I did not leave the phone to Jaipur Service Centre and presented the problem to Jammu Service Centre. Regarding Problem No 04, showing total lack of professionalism, �the Jaipur Service Centre informed that there is no Magnetic Field Sensor existing in this model by design,� whereas the fact is that this sensor does exist in Karbonn A-30 as per details given above # REPAIR RESPONSE AT JAMMU SERVICE CENTRE The staff at Jammu Service Centre have been very courteous and responsive like Jaipur Service Centre but till now they have also been unable to rectifying problems just like Jaipur Service Centre CONCLUSION I am a Tech-savvy, IT professional who buys home appliances and electronic gadgets only after carrying out a detailed study of their Technical Specifications, and I have bought Karbonn A30 with great expectations, thinking that Karbonn appears to be a responsible and reputed brand and also thinking that my money will be well spent in buying Karbonn A30. But besides getting agonised, inconvenienced and frustrated after buying karbonn A30, I am almost getting convinced that I have committed the biggest mistake by trusting Karbonn brand.

Guys, never buy Karbon A30, i replaced Three Pieces in 48 hrs. Due Auto Rotation Problem, Service center is not help full, but Shop Owner helped me a lot, He even asked to buy another mobile ( when i replaced karbon A30 third time ) he offer me to buy Micromax Canvas A2 for 13500/- ( for replacement i can not bargain ) . so basically once we buy anything, Shop owner & Service center - they have our neck. totally screwed up. am not happy with Karbon at all ..

The worst phone ever 1st day i bought it, the auto-rotation stop working and it can be restored only by resetting the phone and it has over heating problem and to top it off there is no option to save the applications in the sd card instead the phone only have two options for saving the applications which are internal storage and phone storage the latter one is supposedly recognized as the sd card. DONT BUY IT.

Hey in file manager you will get the folder named RINGTONES just save your MP3 RINGTONES in that folder, than go to Profiles, check ringtone potion from there, check the defalut ringtones and you will get your MP3 ringtones there, from where you can set it....sure this will help

i had duch problem on autorotation mode. i switched off my a30. but no work auto rot... then for i did format. but did not auto rotated. last i take out battry and insert after i switched on my a30. then auto rotation started to work. i bought just two weeks ago. i faced this problem twice.

It does support tilting and rotation , if u r having some problem with it , den check if it is switched on or not from the notification area .. If the problem still persists then go to service centre immediately .

Hi, I have this phone for 2 months now. Its a lot better than Canvas 2. The only cons is its slightly bulky. Viewing angles r not Bad...manageable. Best camera, battery backup, with free pouch& extra back Cover a good value for money. If u want a large screen phone/tab pocketable then Nothing beats this.

Go for Micromax 110 because of specs. It has GPU which Karbonn doesnot, and also the RAM is less in Karbonn

dear aman,,,,dont try to cheat,,,i used karbonn a30 and micromax a110,,,karbonn a30 worst when compared to micromax a110,,,no high resolution games supporting,,,cant install hd games like asphalt 7.0,need for speed,prince of persia,,,,to be worst some times even low resolution games like temple run and subway surfer gets strucks a lot,,,,it hangs a lot,,,worst case,,,please dont buy these mobile guys,,,even sometimes it take a minute to send message and dial a call,,,worst processor

This is not a good phone at all. Not even for the value of money. I had this phone for one day, the very first day, ROM is corrupted and it shows a funny serial number "0123456789ABCDEF", secondly everytime the Wifi MAC address changed. I would recommend everyone to buy any other phone, but not this. Also, the processor is not fast enough, i played HD games and they flickr a lot.

its got 512MB RAM not 256. Please change it. dual sim card. 5.9" 5 touch screen. Youtube has a video on it, looks awesome. Cost Rs.11,500/-
