K4 note is ok. I like it's fast performance and sound. The dual speakers is superb. I find it's charging time takes too long. I recommended using original charger to charge. All i can say is battery life is ABOUT average but NOT average. Battery life isn't really good on stock rom, It last half a day. I flash custom rom, battery life slightly improve. I can get a full day usage. The phone heats up but for now, it's completely gone when I buy and use SanDisk class 10 SD card. Be sure to format as internal storage not portable.

If both your sim cards are jio then both will not work at the same time as Jio is 4g only network and only one sim can use 4g at a time. In any other case you should be able to use both sim.

One of the worst smartphone ever that I used. It gives me nightmare. One of the issues that I have is that this phone booted up to 10mins. And this phone drains battery so fast. From 39% to 20% within 10mins if you are playing games, using social medias, etc. I guarantee you that you will waste your money in this phone. That you will waste your money in the Lenovo company. Lenovo, one of the weakest brand of smartphone. Don't buy this phone. Don't buy the Lenovo phone. LIEnovo. Biggest nightmare that I experience. Phone is too weak and too near to be a trash.

Lenovo vibe k4 note is a great product. I am using this phone since April 2016 and not any problem till date. It's all features are too good. Specifically it's sound & display quality are very good. I think 4 star are enough for it because ram is only 16 gb, not good camera performance in low light, prosecer is not too strong and body is plastic build with aluminum frame. But some great features are available in this phone. So I think in this price range 'Lenovo vibe k4 note' is a good phone. I love it very much.

I highly doubt Lenovo will give it Nougat update. It is after all kinda a budget device. It got one OS update from Lollipop to Marshmallow, a couple of minor updates, and that's it. I will just enjoy mine while it last, then move on to a better device next, complete with newer software of course.

Review and marshmallow update: (Indian) (1.6 gb update) I bought a refurbished device and it shipped with lollipop...hanged like hell, heated too. Many song videos in mx player 1080p also stuttered and got stuck. Wifi was not fast. After marshmallow update: I was blown away and totally surprised. The phone was 400 % faster The camera improved even more by 10 % No hangs , WIFI faster by 200 % Heating reduced by 10 % The phone looks like stock android in MArshmallow (not a fan of stock) The negative of marshamllow was Brightness reduced by 10 % Am sad about that BUt what a fantastic update. ( i was thinking of returning the device but now i will keep it.) Tip: Kindly do not further update the phone with a 41 mb an 38 mb updates that follow......those updates further slow down the phone ! The only update you need to do and stop at is the 1.6 Gb update

Its because if its second hand ........it is registered with some other google email........and if it is first hand...........try other google email that you or someone in your house must have used. If not that try..........factory resetting your phone.(you will loose all internal data and phone numbers so take backup) Or else you need google play store......try alternative stores like "Apk pure app, mobilegenie app" etc. If you cant sign into your phone during start up.....see youtube videos to bypass mediatek processors in phone ! after less than a year using this phone, display just died, the phone seems to be working because when i plugged it into my laptop it was detected and i was even able to install lenovo suite from my phone.. i've only been using it as backup phone, it was running smoothly before, no issues whatsoever, but then the display just died, i guess i have to go to the service center since it is still on warranty.

I bought my Lenovo k4 note last May2015 The O.S.version was Lollipop and Sad to say I'm having a lot of problems with.my gadjet but since I have a guarantee I brought it to Authorized repair shop and the brilliant technician Mr.De la Cruz of Repair shop in Green hills take out the unnecessary apps or bloatware and upgrade it to Marshmallow....WOLA. It's magic my K4 note performed magnificently no more hassle and the Cameras front n rear work.superb.. ..so if you.have problem.with your K4note (it's usually or normal having problems at first with ur device)....take out unnecessary apps and upgrade it to Marshmallow... lenovos Smartphones or any gadjet is Dependable and works very Good..

this is my first phone touch screen phone, i've used this phone for a year and 3 months now and been replaced once through warranty because of the heating problem, and your opinion sounds like a delusion to me, the only part that i can agree on was the good audio output, well in general, stereo speakers are better than Mono. 2-3 hours screen on time on this phone was dumb and the speaker holes can easily be filled with dirt. fingerprint sensor too hot after watching a 1080p movie or playing a MOBA game and sometimes it just stops working and displays "fingerprint hardware not available" on your screen so you have to restart the phone. come on... better buy a Lenovo P2 or ZUK Z2 pro if you really are a lenovo fan or just choose a non mediatek device. for me after buying a SD835 powered phone, i feel like i was scammed with the price tag of this k4 note, even if my new phone's price was 2x or 2.5x the price of the k4 note, the performance increase was around 4x-5x so it's not a bad deal. lenovo's k series price tags are too much compared to what they can actually do. IN MY OPINION atleast. sold my k4 note to my least favorite friend for 1/4 the price btw.

If only its working on how it supposed to. Elegant design love how it looks, superb audio since it has two whole bar speaker top and bottom. But after a few months around 5-6months top speaker no longsr works, i need ro have a headset before answering a call. It overheats too fast and the heat will make u think it could explode any moment. External memory card is one hell of a struggle. Need to format it so u could use up the memory but keeps on corrupting so u need to reformat and erase all your files. Tried new sd card... Useless! Charging time is next to forever... While battery life drains faster than your douche ex moving on.

My volume button were not working, they repaired it and intentionally removed my bottom speaker and micro phone. When i checked they said mother board problem. I threatened them for police complain. However my phone all of sudden stopped functioning while in charging. Service stations are very far and few in Ahmedabad. Parts are not available so easily. They told me that mother board is not functioning and will cost Rs. 8500. overall bad experience with Lenovo k4 note.

I presume your K4 Note is about one year old since purchase time just like mine. I am facing similar issue and my guess is that my phone's battery being almost a year old has lost some of its charge. If this is the case, it is hardware issue (battery) but the software does not adjust to the drop in battery capacity. Hence battery indicator shows such weird behavior i.e sudden drop upon reaching around 30%. Conversely, during charging I notice that it charges normally, virtually constant rate from blank to 80% then slows down a bit. HOWEVER upon reaching 90%, it shoots up to 100% really quick. I also associate this behavior to the same cause above Again, this is my assumption, but I plan to just get on with it and replace the battery at Lenovo service center after one half to two years of usage (when the battery will have lost too much charge) then continue using this phone of mine.

Nah, battery backup is good with about 5 hours screen on time. Either you got defective battery from start, which you should have claimed for warranty replacement early on, or you got too many background apps running, consuming too much energy and producing too much heat. This is the worst phone that I had.. Too many problems for this crap. I've spent almost 6000 rs in repairing this shit box. One day the phone got itself into a bootloop . I've approached the service centre at Aluva bypass. They said that it is bcaz of the battery. Even though I knew that this was not bcaz of the battery I spent 2000 rs to replace it. The very next day I got the same problem. The next day I approached them and they said that the board should be replaced and again I spent rs 4000 for that. Hardly after a month I ve got the same problem and again they said that the board has to be replaced. And this crappy phone heats up like a microwave oven and ma screen pixels got burnt by the heat. The night camera shots are soo crappy... Never ever buy this phone..... Just waste of money...

It's almost same as Moto x play. But Moto has SD chipset so the battery efficiency is amazing. What I like on lenovo- 1) unique design, (looks like aluminium body in the middle but it's plastic) 2) advanced features like Dolby Atmos, awesome stereo speakers,rear fingerprint scanner, brightness level is good, What I don't like- 1) battery efficiency (3300mAh but draining so quickly because it has screen+processor miss understanding issues) 2) overheating 3) cannot plug external hard drive because of inefficient chip 4)poor camera results (front and rear) if you want an average battery backup+non heating K4 note, you should turn your screen brightness to 0%

I guess... Mediatek chipset has some communication issues with the 401ppi 5.5" IPS LCD screen. I decreased the brightness of the screen to its minimum 0% and been used couple of hours. The result was unbelievable. Battery efficiency improved a lot like it's been draining 1 or 2 percentage per minute while 4G LTE and dual SIM slots were ON but when the screen brightness completely turned off, battery stayed at the same percentage for 10_15 minutes. Try yourself. I tested and proven .

Using this phone since 26 Jan 2016, this phone works like a charm for me. Cam is awesome on this phone, the images taken are at time more crispier than my Canon SX50 HS. Battery backup is good last a day or more if only on phone calls, and last 10-12 hrs if on calls and videos and net browsing. For those facing issues with the phone please reset your phone, remove the bloatware provided by Lenovo and then use. The only mistake i did was to upgrade to the Marshmellow update, due to which RAM utilization is more. Hope this helps.

To fix overheating and battery drain have it rooted and run purify app. How to root: 1. Download latest KingRoot.apk at 2. Allow unknown sources at Settings>security 3. Go to your file manager and run the KingRoot.apk 4. It will fail to root automatically but try search for root option which will succeed after around 5 minutes. 5. After rooting let it run Purify app. 6. Finished. overheating battery drain will now be like normal phones.

I had the same problem. Had also posted in this forum. Developed yellow patch on right side. Initially, it was small but went on increasing. Subsequently developed the problem of auto touch. (ghost touch). Did google search to fix auto touch problem and applied some repair tools from Google play store. But none helped. Approached authorized service centre; they suggested to replace the display. Local vendors also replace display but no warranty. Finally approached the authorized service centre again and got the display replaced with three months warranty. They take five to six days. Its working fine...lets see..how long.. At least assured for three months with warranty. I started using budget phones since last two years and as per my experience, average life of budget phone is something around one year. It also depends on your usage and how do you handle the device. Anything beyond one year is bonus. And the good part is that budget phones are now a days loaded with lots of features which are found in high end devices.

My phone OS 5.1 was corrupted due to some virus, took it to service center, even after repeatedly telling them to install the Android 5.1 which was on the phone, they installed marshmallow n now my phone is nothing more than a piece of cr*p After update within 24hrs the OS crashed and stuck on boot loop and again I had to visit the service center. Lenovo Services are pathetic, even after arguing with them talking to all the higher personnels, no body is ready to accept there mistake and help downgrading the OS. In "SETTINGS" find out "ABOUT PHONE". There "SYSTEM UPDATE" to be selected and opened. There the 41-MB upgrade will be displayed [if not already upgraded to it]. In a 4G network, the upgrade takes less than five or six minutes to complete. In wifi or other than 4G network, it can get much slower. This is because the apps also get optimised by the upgrade version and if the number of apps is more than 100, optimisation can consume more data and more time.

Just go to settings and mobile networks and there will be a option of enhanced LTE mode just enable it and restart your mobile then it will enabled and you can enjoy call without turning your internet on.

Yep. it's possible, follow this link and check it's description for tutorial. 1. Download both S208 Marshmallow and S152 Lollipop ROMs 2. Downgrade Marshmallow s214 to lollipop s152 using SP Flash tool. (Backup you data) 3. Copy S208 Marshmallow ROM zip file to External SD card and rename it 'update.zip'. 4. Enter Stock Recovery mode by, Press and Hold Vol+, Vol-, Power button simultaneously until phone vibrates. Now release Power button. After screen light up release Vol+ and Vol- buttons. 5. In Stock Recovery, Tap on Upgrade>Yes. Wait few minutes. 6. You're on S208 VoLTE version. Bugs: Phone gets soft booted everytime you lock screen. It may not appear if you doesn't enabled Fingerprint Lock. It's recommended to not to use fingerprint in this build. Stock apps can't be disabled. Google+, Lenovo Companion, Hangouts etc.. Try it.

This phone is actually fine, however, although it's natural for devices to heat from frequent use, this device usually heats faster than any mobile phone. Graphics are not that good for gaming but still, tolerable. I had this phone once and I have no choice but to sell it for me to purchase a way much better one. Hi All, Yesterday i upgraded k4 note from lollipop to marshmallow. it was around 1680 mb upgrade. After upgrading, performance seems to be good but one major problem was that finger print to unlock the device was not working at all. it was vibrating but did not unlock the device. i tried reboot but no effect. finally i got stock rom from xda developer and downgraded to lollipop again. so guys please ready backup plan before think of upgrade.

Good news for K4 (lollipop). Lag dismissed. Previously my K4 always lag, even when no app runs on background. I always restart it 3 to 4 times a day to make it fresh. Last week, I updated Whatsapp to video call version, and strangely the lag has GONE forever, and the battery life extended about 3 hours. Maybe previous version of WA is the cause of lags. Another bug that is still annoying is the auto rotate feature. It always back to off by itself.

I am satisfied with this product. battery is good, screen resolution and gaming performance are awesome, front and rear camera are good , it little bit heat. only one problem with Dolby atmos, I am not understanding how to set equalizer of it. when I increase bass and remove finger from it will reset to default. overall phone is good.

I buy it a week ago ,good phab,no laging, exelent battery, smooth touch pad,exelent cameras particularly in low light shots, good look,no heating problem ,handy,but very difficult to transfer apps and files to SD card, hangin isses only if ur phab runs more than appox.12 to 15 apps. otherwise exelent phablet by Lenovo.
