Then you should compare io7 with android donut!! fire fox is in it's initial state of devolopment and needs several improvements which is belived to be soon worked out.So,it is not appropiate to compare it with andoid 2.3.evey platform goes trough this .Even windows not developed 7 directly it was done through a series of updates and upgrades .so we should encourage this new os in market .and BTW it is not that similar to andoid as it is HTML5 based system and might or might not bring a revolution in smartphone history .If a good company bings this under 5K then it even far better that ongoing 5k andoid phones.

this os is very good than nokia asha software, asha is slow and it is not smart phone anyway, if samsung will make a bada phone, i rather buy that bada than the asha crappy software. anyway this phone is good..

I don't know why LG take the risk of launching Firefox OS phone. But if it's price range is similar with Nokia's Asha or Samsung's Rex lineup then it's ok. Firefox OS is nothing but a replica of android 2.3 with less functionality and with some basic UI. It is just like a toy version of android smart phone for the kids to play with. But it's more close to android than Rex and Asha so it can be a good competitor among them. Firefox OS ij not smooth like android and not transparent, have some round shaped app icons. one thing that is good about this OS is , you can use apps directly from the store without downloading them. But it's a joke to compare the new version of Firefox OS even with the android 2.3. Though the performance of the OS is not up to the mark but LG's hardware is always outstanding and verry impressive. It has a 1GHz Qualcomm processor and 4GB internal storage. I think the phone will hit the market if it's price is considerably lower than their android lineup.
