LG G7 ThinQ - User Reviews

 • I am also trying but tillnow i am not able to get proper g cam app.but i have heard a lot that it take its camera to an another level....plzz suggest if anyone finds that golden gem.

 • This phone was my first flagship phone for any brand & got a unbelievable deal to pick it up. Of every phone I've owned LG's G7 ThinQ is the one I wish I didn't sell... Everything about this model blew me away & in some cases still does. The photo abilities, processing power, RAM/ROM, I could go on all day but I won't. I'll edit my review later, gotta run.

 • Any one using Gcam on G7 ? I tried few apks but nothing worked fine.

 • it varies to the price, you know?

 • Lg G7 Thinq is my 1st Android Skin phone I am Stock Android user. But I love this phone.Lots of features in this phone.simply I love it.No regrets at all.Camera Amazing quard HD display.I personally don't like AMOLED pannel. Last but not the least It's a water and dust proof phone.

 • Thanks bro for your valuable and quick response. Appreciate it. I will definitely go for a wireless charging.

 • Also i am using ringke fusion x . will it support wireless charging ??

 • There are many wireless chargers but they are not all good especially working with hard cases and over heating. I done a lot of research and decided on this one from amazon. Just search for B07KRVLCSL. I am very happy with it and works fine with my Spigen A27CS23033 case. It has 2 coils so you can put the phone vertically or horizontally. Its also compatible with fast chargers and switch itself off when finished. It has other clever features for cooling and protection. Also the LED light is not obtrusive at night and the build quality is A+. All wireless chargers take longer time to charge about 2.5hrs from about 10% but it doesn't matter because its so easy to use and you can just put the phone on it at any point and forget. Once you try wireless charging you will never go back to cable charging really. I don't know about Earphones/headphones with Qdac support. From my experience some of the cheap ones had better Base and sound quality than the expensive ones. I got a Sumvision Psyc Cappella 2 which is cheap but amazing sound quality. I was also very impressed with my friend's Marshall Major III Foldable Headphones which are reasonable in price.

 • Also i am using ringke fusion x . will it support wireless charging ??

 • I am planning to purchase a good wireless charger and a good earphone that supports qdac so that i can exp true richness of its hyped amplifier . there is lot of confussion on the net. What do u suggest to buy. Not to much costly in range of 50-60 $. Also does wirless charger charges in 1.40 hrs or more time ??

 • I am sorry nothing is wrong with your charger. I just checked my phone again and it says 1 hr 40min to full charge time. So it is normal for this phone. It seems I forgot because I am always on wireless charging!

 • Any way to check how the charger is faulty.?? Show i check it with software or dirctly reach out to service Center??

 • Yes I use the same white fast charger that came in the box. Uninstall any app you may have installed that might interfere with power management like Battery Doctor or Clean Master. You don't need any as Android 9 has its own cleaning utility. Otherwise you might have a faulty charger that is not switching to its fast charge circuit.

 • Do you use the same fast charger provided with the box or use something else ??

 • Not at all! Since I bought my LG phone 4 months ago I got an upgrade to Android 9 and 2 security updates. That is a lot more often system updates than I got on my previous Samsung and it updates a lot faster and more smoothly too.

 • Well you got a real bargain. I got mine earlier on eBay for about $300 but without exchanging any old phone. It should fully charge a lot quicker than that with the fast charger. I think mine can fully charge in about 40min. What you need to do is fully charge and then fully discharge the battery about 3 times. This is like exercising a new battery and you should notice an improvement in charge time and longer life as you use it more.

 • Please which is the best to buy for Uber and Bolt Driving?? V30 or G7thinq Or if you could another better smartphone with superb GPS and internet network speed

 • India

 • Amazone big billion sale after exchanging my old phone

 • Got my brand new and original lg g7 thinq shipped from HK for 445USD. Have this for 4 days now and it is perfect! The only negative i can see is the average battery life.

 • Which country it is

 • No bro i was too initial was sceptical thats why i made a video of its unboxing as if anything would go wrong i could claim. But is was brand new and i even registered it on lg official website. Just a ques with quick charge bunduled charger it takes approx 1.40 hrs is this ok. Any suggestions for faster charging as i find it to be same normal speed as other phone.

 • Where did you get it for such a low price

 • That is just too cheap about half the price. It could be stolen! Battery is average but last a lot longer with WiFi, location, Bluetooth, and NFC off and switch off background running apps. Amazing phone.

 • clean up secundary microphone whit needle softly

 • Purchased the brand new lg g7 thinq for 137$. Till last 3 days everything is perfect. Just battery is avg. I am mot a gammer so easily last for a day. Just need charging in the end thats all. However it was a good deal for that price point it had best features.

 • i am getting my LG G7 ThinQ in a couple of weeks to replace my still working LG G5. Even without the MIL-STD 810g rating, my G5 is very durable. It's just that time is slowly catching up on my 3 year old phone.

 • Absolutely True!

 • LG updates are rare, but they're don't slow down the phone and don't have any bugs. Who needs werkly shitty updates like xiaomi's...

 • as long as the phone is running fine, no logic in wanting updates. i'd rather not get updates that screw the phone battery or throttle the performance (look at you apple).

 • Thanks! I'm considering getting this phone next year instead of the Nokia 8. Nokia 8 is the only flagship that is great for my money but it has too many problems. This will be my first ever LG phone. Hoping the prices will be lower next year.

 • hi to all main thing i have to share is that phone is all good but security updates and android updates are not often seen form years android 9 now we got but android 10 is it there on your Minds LG you guys are like fake only selling products and not even bother about updates ONE PLUS 5 still able to get updates after 3 years and android 10 also published it in their community but a year phone with high specs not able to get security patch DEAR LG kindly change your opinions on customers if your products want to sale give proper updates and product and support Regards LG G7+thinQ user

 • I love this phone and really impressed with the quality and the screen. It’s the only phone I have seen that you can actually use in direct bright sunlight with the Brightness Boost (1000 nits) function. The Loud speaker is really loud and powerful and you don't need any additional Bluetooth speakers to play music outdoors. I am not keen on the extra HiFi DAC functions, maybe just a few extra equalizer pre-sets would have been better. The battery is fine for one day and charging is fast with a fast charger. I got a wireless fast charger which works well with the SPIGEN case. The fingerprint reader is excellent and very fast on any finger. I also love the Always On display with the analogue clock. With Android 9 the RAM may get near its maximum capacity with many apps in the background but the phone is well capable and doesn't feel sluggish with me except on very rare occasions. The cameras are excellent especially the ultrawide one which is very useful but the quality depends greatly on the amount of light. There are many video pre-sets including slo-Mo and lots of background music and animation stickers. I have not yet explored all the settings though! The selfie camera is great and you can control the shutter with either a hand Gesture or say CHEESE or something like that which is wonderful. Another useful feature I really like is the LG screen share which duplicates anything you watch on the phone on your large screen TV and you can control videos from your phone wirelessly. It works brilliantly with LG TVs. Finally, there is no bloatware installed at all except some LG essential apps and the carrier apps depending on the version you get! I really think LG produced a fantastic phone for a very good price really. People please ThinQ!

 • I have a problem with the mic when I switch on the speaker phone people say that my voice is very low, muffled, and like I am far away. If I switch off the speaker they can then hear me well! The other problem is the screen keeps switching itself on when on standby even when there is nothing running in the background! I disabled Google voice assistant but made no difference to both problems. Anyone knows a fix for these?

 • After 9.0 device feels smooth&improved loud speaker performance... Battery just like before 1 day battery New navigation gestures are too sensitive.. No change in camera quality... I really did not like the slowness of LG in update policies. When Android 10 got released, they released 9 Now for 10 they will make us wait till 11 comes. Not a right job from developers of the company

 • lg g7 has best ips display on phone market , camera is amazing. lg has the best manual mode and ultrawide boat on the market mobile

 • Overall phone is very fast, very similar to newest Samsungs every way as tested 10 basic model. No probs at all. I thinq that battery is ar.average other is superb

 • I want to buy this phone.. how is the battery backup, display and camera? What about performance?

 • How's the overall multimedia experience? I want a device with great screen, sound , fluid, and that is comfortable to hold one hand. I'm debating betweeb this and s10e (obviusly this is cheaper).

 • What's the time full charge phone

 • About camera; first thought was that camera aint that good (meaning Basic 16MP cam) but now after maybe 5 months or more of use have changed my mind. Camera works very well, and pics are good, even in quite bad light at least usable. For dark conditions I use mainly Gcam app and sometimes cameras own night mode which is good but not as good as googles. Great phone!

 • The pixel 2xl would Be the better option. But, the LG has a ultra wide camera which the pixel does not. However, the pixel would taken more colour accurate photos and is Moreno reliable.

 • LG G7 thinQ coz it bring dual 16mp and pixel 2 is bring 12mp

 • For camera, which one is better LG G7 thinQ or Google pixel 2 xl?

 • after i got update to pie the wifi not connection, Wen i was using wirh oreo frankly nice n super phone

 • .... worst phone ever had .... very weak reception compared to the competition ... my lgg4. had better reception in remote locations

 • Yes after pie update

 • This mobile support dual active 4g volte??

 • Got July security update...

 • i did it on plus version

 • Got Pie update (OTA)

 • Got the Pie Update via LG Bridge.......from India

 • I cant really decide about this or mi9t (k20)?!!?

 • Is it for plus version or regular

 • LG INDIA launched Pie OTA .

 • The plus is 128gb/6gb ram The g7 is 64gb/4gbram

 • Just wanted to report that i got the phone last week, initially screen on time and general battery life was sub par, but after sone tweaks and thr Pie update, battery life is now better than what i got on my V30 so in happy... For $250 dollars i have zero conplaint, this pgone is a beast

 • Okay..... Any reasoning why the G7 Plus because the price difference between the regular G7 is 90USD here.

 • Try to set network settings on 2G.i hope your problem will be solved. Thanks Pakistan .

 • I guess it's out for both the variants thru bridge. Standard and the plus version. Correct me if I am wrong.

 • How do you know the update will roll out as ota in the next 24 to 48 hours. I have the regular g7, is it out for this model too in India. ??

 • Take the G7 + thinQ

 • Although standard LG G7 user in India continue inquiring, the wait is finally over for LG G7 Plus ThinQ users in the region. LG G7 Plus ThinQ, as some of you may know, is the 128GB+6GB RAM variant of the standard LG G7 ThinQ itself.

 • Pie update released for India G7 Plus ThinQ via LG Bridge. OTA update expected in next 24-48 hours.

 • A used LG G7 costs around 210USD, G7 Plus costs around 300USD and V40 costs around 350USD in my country. Which one should I get? I don't game much on my phones. I'm coming from a V20. They are all Korean variants btw.

 • Lg g7 is a good phone for music, video watching. Main problem is signal reception.it shows only 1 bar.im missing phone calls.in the same area samsung a6 shows 2bar signal.is there any solution

 • Does this phone has swipe navigation gesture.

 • Still on oreo ( 1st july 2019 security patch)......no pie update....... from India.....

 • which country. India still has not got. LG INDIA Pls look into it.

 • I got Pie Update Yesterday

 • I bought a cellphone LG G7 thinkq 10EM from Germany and brought it to IRAN, but there is always a problem with WiFi and it does not know and connect to WiFi network. LG branch said you should go from where you bought to make repairs. This is now a major problem.

 • whats the differences between G710ULM and the global version?

 • I had fingerprint issues, today I received a small update from LG and got solved, Thanks LG as now it's perfect

 • My device still on Oreo waiting when will get pie update But got July security patch today

 • lg india has updated security patch level to july.

 • Thats why i got the korean version and get the update direct from lg using the desktop software on a computer. The lte signal is awesome here unlike with the international models

 • Here’s what the notice reads (translated from Korean): We have tried to provide the V30 ThinQ Pie OS software in the second quarter we mentioned through the bulletin, but we will adjust the distribution schedule to July to compensate for the essential improvements found during the quality stabilization process. I’m sorry to have to adjust the schedule in order to provide better software quality because it was an unavoidable thing to add new UX UX 8.0 to show better function to our customers. That means LG V30 ThinQ users will have to wait for another month to get to experience Android 9.0 Pie.

 • LG G7 Thinq is among the best Phone and better than Honor, Huawei,One Plus and Asus phone and Xiaomi devices. The only problem slow update.

 • I used "LG UP" software and followed an XDA tutorial. I got the HK ROM from the "LG Firmwares" website.

 • How did you update your LG G7 ThinQ?

 • I really like using this phone, but the update situation is absolutely RIDICULOUS. I have a Philippines-specific model of the G7 and that has seen ZERO UPDATES since June 2018! Whereas the virtually identical Hong Kong model has just received its Pie update!!! Naturally, I just flashed the Pie ROM from Hong Kong. And it now feels like I have a new phone again. The update is great, but good God the painfully slow rollout just hurts.

 • G7 is very solid and reliable smartphone. Perfect lcd display, very nice for the eyes, great colors and calibration. Battery is surprisingly good, i have 6-7 hours SoT on mixed usage, wich is perfect for 3000 mah battery. The phone is fast, SD845 doing the job perfectly fine. The weak point is the camera - just good camera, but not flagship level. But its not most important thing to me, so i am very satisfied with the phone.

 • This is excellent phone, and works great. If have to complain, battery could be little bigger but still works fine for a day. Wide angle camera has been surprising nice for taking pictures of bigger objects like buildings or inside with little room.

 • network service providers problem.

 • I am from nepal and have g7 thinq, haven't received pie yet.. how can i ?? Should i use vpn

 • Phone is sexy enough, loved sound , loved wide angle, loved display, but lg should improve the way they update their phones

 • this phones sucks in picking up network service dont get this phone

 • V30 or G7 which to buy.

 • Same model like yours and i received pie 5 days ago

 • Model EAW here..Up to this date,no PIE update:(

 • I didnt recieved android pie yet

 • Lucky you sir..Mine of this date..NADA! But it's ok😁

 • Every Korean Variant has Korean apps pre-installed. You can download a new firmware if you want to but I don't think that these apps affect your phone's performance at all. I used a couple of Korean phones. All of them were the same as International variants. Your phone is water resistant as well. It has all the specs of an International model. The only difference is the addition of some Korean apps and maybe the language. Cheers

 • I received pie update this morning EAW model

 • Hi! I have a LG g7 thinq+ g710n (which is a Korean variant). Is it normal that it still has Korean app and some Korean features? Do I have to download a firmware to change it? Is it also water resistant like a local LG g7 thinq as well? Your answer will be well appreciated.

 • Mine is already updated to pie...

 • I read fr the lg table that now they are doing the june pie beta update which is under testing. Hopefully the ota update will release as early as july 2019:)

 • One thing I missed, bought this after I got severely affected with one plus 5 radiation which caused partial blindness, you can't believe, but it happened to.me. lg got lowest sar and no head ache like in one plus...Huawei camera may be better .also check if sar is atleast less than.0.8 US...

 • I am using LG G7 and S9 plus. LG g7 is fast, face recognition is superb and fast and never fails. S9 got bigger screen, better camera, but face recognition sucks...you have to place face in the right position even then it takes time. But G7, you have to be somewhere around and the camera finds ur face. Rest all battery etc are similar. About camera, S9 takes, say for eg, 100 photos, all 100 will be clear. But LG, if you are lucky, and photos taken in very bright light, gives say only 10 good pics with high natural light. Inside the room, LG camera is a failure with the normal mode always giving blurry pics. S9 takes crisp picture even when object is moving...so with G7, camera is the only greatest problem.

 • Android Pie 9.0 in Latvia recived!!!

 • hello, i ve got a question about g7 thinq the back camera everytime i do photos of person, it smothing to max model face... how can i turn this off? anyone know?

 • LG is the best.

 • just go update not sure if it has any changes apart from battery and maybe one icon changed/ and the dumb little gesture thing which i removed right away

 • Great and so underestimated phone. Had now this for 4 months and has worked perfectly, no lags or other problems. Size is great, water and shockresitance tested and camera, both mean very good, if have to complain battery life is average but not and, great phone

 • G7+ 128 6gb ( G710EAW ) still negative of Pie update:(

 • lg g7 is alot lighter/ has a better build quality- p20 has abigger battery - id go for the g7 - its probably cheaper option/

 • LG G7 ThinQ or Huawei P20? What is better?

 • Thanks for your reply. Lg G7 ThinQ or Huawei P20? What is better between these two models?

 • lg g7 thinq.

 • I would go for LG. Really great and reliable phone. I have it and can't say anything bad about it. From camera to performance in general, great phone.

 • I don't know about performance, guess it's pretty much the same, it's the same chipset. The pie version of g7 feels faster than the Oreo one. The s9 is smaller, forme it is as advantage, but I don't like the "edge" screen at all. For me it's the biggest turn off. I own the g7, mostly because it's waay cheaper, but I do like it, it's fast and beautiful, the battery good have been beter but comparing it to the s9 they are very similar, s9 had 79 hr vs 77 for lg g7. Anyway I guess they are both great phones and the differences between them is all about personal preference. For example g7 has a notch. I didn't have a phone with a notch before, but I really don't care about that. Than it's oled vs ips screen technology, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. As a sort of gimmick, the g7 had am outdoor boost of almost 1000 nitts. That's just about it, if u have the money for either of them, just go with your preference. If you're a little short on money, go with the g7. Although For me it does not feel cheap (built quality, feature, looks, performance), the g7 costs significantly less, at least where I'm from, but I recently saw a uk YouTube specialized smartphone channel saying ot goes about 280 $ or £, I don't recall exactly. Good bless

 • Well the sar value I guess is much better on the lg g7. Xiaomi has one of the highest values on their phones, while LG and Samsung have the lowest, particularly lg g7 and Galaxy note 8

 • LG G7 ThinQ or Xiaomi Mi 8? What is better?

 • Does anyone know when it comes to updating Android Pie 9 for TIM Europe version ?

 • lg g7 or samsung s9? how's the overall performance?

 • Kidding? G7 100x better then realme

 • How does this phone perform with games like pubg nd fortnite?

 • what security patch u r using now??

 • which one should i buy, lg g7 thinq or realme 3 pro?

 • Update:Error 404 android 10 update not found

 • Android Pie Serbia recived

 • Oh it came right after 5 days...

 • I would love to get an LG G8, but without a local service center or any way to get a loaner phone, I guess I'll have to go with Samsung again. Being without a phone for 10 days is a non-starter. Too bad!!!

 • How? I'm on Digi Mobil.does it matter?

 • Updated two days ago and everything is ok(Romania,G710EM,orange operator)

 • Is this phone good for gaming ore battery ore v35 think better

 • Romania: Error:404:Pie Update not found

 • PapaRafe [Edit post]X%p5 seconds ago How's battery life after pie update G7?

 • I am using this phone for almost a year now. No complains so far, surprised about the battery its only 3000 mah but it survives all day and usually i connect to a charger in the evening with 15-20 % left. I am a heavy user, just not playing any games.

 • Got it for $450 but i can pay it in monthly installments over 36 months without interest, so probably a good buy.

 • I would buy this phone, but I am still angry @ my Metro rep's offer to upgrade my wife and I's LG K20 Plus phones to LG K30s for $100 plus tax each...the only difference btw the two is that the K30 has a slightly larger battery and Android Nougat 7.1 instead of 7.0. Neither phone ever will be upgraded to Oreo. But I have unlocked my phone and plan to root it. just don't have a PC with an SD card adapter slot so that I can split partition it, one to back up the OS, the other for mods and Linux distros. Maybe I can just connect the phone via USB and partition the card with one of a few 3rd party partitioning tools that I downloaded, since there aren't any on Play which aren't poorly rated. Hope that it works...

 • Go with LG G7 for sure you won't regret a penny ... I'm using this device literally it works awesome no heating issue fast battery charging and camera is awesome display is 2k very sharp many more features which others devices can't even think of giving in this price ....

 • Updates are very important, unless you don't like new stuff, your device being optimized, bug fixes and security patches. I don't see all that as "overrated"

 • Where is the Nokia 8 now? Updates are overrated

 • I have g7 for the past of 5months, there is no single issue great audio phone great colourful display with brighter display iam promise of battery is complete my one day usage iam surprised even good battery in 3000mah

 • I have had the G7 ThinQ since October 2018 and it has been an excellent phone. Sure, LG is slow on the updates, but this phone has been rock-solid reliable and performs as snappy as any phone out there. The camera is not as good as some of the others, but it performs well. LG's skin is lightweight and they give you tons of customization. Their camera and video apps have manual controls that no other manufacturer can touch. The Quad DAC is the best in the business for people like me who enjoy good headphones, and the boombox speaker gets really loud and sounds great. I got it for $400 and even today, at that price, it is a excellent buy. If you can get it cheaper than that, absolutely go for it.

 • The G7 Thinq is a great device all around like the screen which is stellar, probably the best audio on smartphones, you can use any apps and games with no lag at all, the camera is good but not in the level of the Pixels... the downside is the battery life which is bit weaker than other high end phones and the slow updates. The V30+ also is good but it has an older processor and GPU than the G7. Another good devices are the OnePlus 6 and the Galaxy S9, but probably those are bit more expensive.

 • I have previously used LG G3 and now i have seen the new edition of LG G7. I want to know is that worth to buy LG G7 to buy on that budget. Need help

 • Hello, I am currently using Nokia 7 Plus since a year and I am not happy with my device. Does buying LG G7 or V30+ in 2019 make sense? I need good display, great performance, multitasking, stable OS, good battery life, fast charging, headphone jack etc. Below are the prices of mentioned devices in my country. Else, is there any other good device which comes under same price range which matches my requirements? Please suggest, thanks in advance. LG G7 thinq (4GB RAM, 64 GB) ~ 402 USD LG V30+ (4 GB RAM, 128 GB) ~ 396 USD

 • When european model will get pie update?

 • I bought a used G7 In Philippines for under $150. Granted, it looks like the back glass panel is a replacement and it's locked to one sim, but still. Functionally, it's better than Pocophone and OnePlus 6/6T since it has more complete features - Better DAC, cameras, expandable storage. The lack of updates is TRULY UNFORTUNATE, though. I don't regret buying this, though....

 • Yes it is worth it, unless the phone looks like it already had 10 previous owners.

 • Come to Greece 320 euros :D

 • If u want flagship go for G7, if you want midrange for same price go for Nokia...

 • I think Note 8 is much better than g7 if note 8 size isn't a matter for you.

 • How’s the display sharp ses and black levels ?👍

 • I would get the Nokia 8.1 mostly because it's a Android One device so timely updates and security patches are expected... Unlike LG phones with their ultra slow updates and even non existing ones. Hardware alone the G7 Thinq is bit better than the Nokia.

 • change your location to korea.- life is full of regret

 • How to do that I am from India and I have G7+ still stuck on Android 8.0 with Feb Security pach. They even stopped security updates for this phone. I so regret buying this

 • yeah I did. I just changed my location to korea/ and it updated/ soo much great

 • Need advice.I am using lg g5 since last 2 years with zero issues except low battery gps and 32gb storage. Now i want to upgrade.I am getting nokia 8.1 at 350 dollars and lg g7 at 450 dollars both 128 gb.Which will be better as i am concerned about battery and software updates of lg g7 .

 • Did anybody get 9.0 Pie yet especially TMobile takes so damn long it's still in Development Please hurry up.........

 • How come I have oneplus 6t mclaren Ites classy phone

 • In Romania I saw it for about 358 euros, the black one.

 • Unlucy drop, maybe was something hard on the ground

 • Me too 350 usd

 • they sell 680.00 eur here in Cyprus..THATS a steal!!

 • where did you got it from please?thank you

 • Got Mine for 350, its a steal

 • if you prefer LCD to OLED,and appreciate HiFi. That's the call.

 • I can get a used one under 300 usd. Worth it?

 • That back glass went fully broken following a drop from less than one meter on the ground, not concrete. I truly wonder if it's Gorilla Glass5.

 • I have had the LG G7 thinQ for about 4 months now and i have never had any issues with calls dropping out or service problems like you explained...my guess would be possibly it has something to do with your provider "T-mobile" because like i said never had any problems with mine but my provider is Verison Wireless..

 • I'm currently on my second G7 and they both have the exact same issue so I suspect many if not all, also do. I have multiple issues: I have call issues where I apparently drop in and out. At first I blamed it on a "lesser" network. I took advantage of wi-fi calling but found even with that I have the same issue. The other issue is Android Auto disconnecting, and doing it in the same locations. Again, I blamed it on network. However, I tested using my wife's Samsung S8 and it didn't miss a beat either in calls or AA operation. I went through the bootloop issues with my G4's (three) so my patience is gone. Don't say you weren't warned. For the record, I am using T-Mobile now.

 • Is it better than Samsung Note 8? I'm planning to buy it.

 • Becoze LG is top 3 at the US brader....

 • Model LG G710EM European has wirelles charging.

 • SD 835 is still great for day to day tasks as well as gaming also the 4GB RAM of the V30 is still enough. The screen of the V30 is beautiful and gorgeous not maybe on Samsung level but it's still great and oh it's OLED. The 6GB variant of the G7 is more expensive here in India than the Note 8. Choices are simple in India if you want a flagship on budget within 25000 to 30000 INR it's V30 or if it's 35000 to 40000 INR it's either the Note 8 or the OP6T.

 • There’s LGG7 plus comes with 128GB and 6 gig of ram and for sure better snapdragon 845 so need to compare to old V30 or V30 plus that comes with 4 gig of ram and worst screen.

 • DXO also rates the Poco F1 higher than the G7 so does this mean that the F1 shoots better pictures than the G7 ? DXo is not much reliable also read the review of the LG G7 on Anandtech they clearly states that the G7 is a regression over V30 in terms of image quality. Image quality, OLED display, better battery life and the availability of the 128 GB of the V30+ model 3000 INR cheaper than the 64 GB G7 are the reasons I got the V30+ Also check gsmarena long term review of the V30S thinq they clearly said the V30S which is basically the V30 with 6GB RAM was among the Top 5 camera phones in flagship category at it's launch. But regarding the G7 they clearly said that it was not upto the flagship level in terms of image quality. Now even the likes of Xiaomi and Oneplus have reached or exceeded the V30 image quality but the G7 couldn't keep up which is a sad thing for LG and even the consumers. Hope the V50 gets LG right back on the track where it belongs.

 • Best phone ever , at least you are worry free of the burn-in issue since this phone has no stupid Amoled screen

 • Wireless charging is available in European version. It's not the case as with G6. Also connection via USB-C -> HDMI is working now after december update. I think for 300€ great deal.

 • If they put wireless charging only on US models i say im not buy a LG phone until they treat europrean clients with the same respect. Good bye LG.

 • battery is perfect!

 • how is the battery life? i am really sold on lg phones due to the mil-std 810g build...

 • Why dont you get a xiaomi pocophone F1 instead? it is the cheapest version of Snapdragon 845 phone and it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.

 • Even unlocked international version didn’t get Pie update yet.

 • Is Displayport Alt mode still not working in the latest Android Pie update ? I hope once Android Q is out, phone manufacturers will reconsider this kind of crap because it should support the desktop mode natively ... No miracast or chromecast ( i even tried Intel Unite) can do this without lag and WiGiG support for this kind of use in phones is in its infancy.

 • Yeah, even though it's past the carrier date for rollout. It also depends on what carrier your on. Unless, you bought the factory unlocked version directly from the phone maker. My Nokia 7 plus been had pie since November last year. Just hesitant to switch since there is no Wi-Fi calling since T-Mobile doesn't have their hands in the rollout for my Nokia 7 plus.

 • Didn’t root my G7 since xda mentioned that lg phones will turn to bootloop after the root just sold my G7 and got one plus 6 know that it’s not better, but still has a Pie and better performance overall and you can root easily without issue.

 • Still haven't received Android 9, I red on Android Authority that it should get it by the end of March

 • thinking of getting google launcher or nova any thoughts

 • No update over here even I’m thinking to root my G7!. Might be update after 2 month or so.

 • 02/04/2019 No update for pie...

 • 4-1-2019 no update

 • Android Pie update already out in Korea

 • LGg7 thinQ camera score 83 in DxOMark and V30 score 82 so.

 • Is it an unlock version? Pliz explain to me....

 • 4 more days...

 • Ok

 • that's 5 days/ lets start the countdown

 • End of march

 • ill be available in September

 • The battery can be little short for games but i use the battery saving feature when i don't use the phone for some hours then i disable that feature for gaming and then i still have plenty of juice for games. Also you have quick charge 3.0 in order to fill the battery fast.

 • Planning to buy this phone for gaming only since this is the cheapest snapdragon 845 in my country, is the 3000mah enough? how long will the battery last? thanks!

 • Bought this phone one week ago and very happy with purchase. Do you know when Android 9 be available for this model?

 • This is a good phone overall I've had one glitch with an app but it's stopped.

 • THX. :-)

 • unable to close contact list after updating OTA

 • If I was you my order of preference would be: 1) LG G7 ThinQ 2) Honor View 20 (As g7 is significantly cheaper than View 20) 3) Asus ZenFone 5 4) Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro

 • Oh, I thought you were pro the Honor View 20 ;-). And I was wondering why it was worth the more euro's. Thanks for your input. Still not sure what my new phone will be: LG G7 ThinQ / Asus ZenFone 5 / Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 (preferable the Pro version ones it's out). I had many, many more phones on my list, but lost overview. Read different reviews per phone, but they all differ. Still not sure if the LG will be the one, but it for sure has my interest :-).

 • Eyes closed LG G7 or V30 have better product quality than Honor View 20. LG phones are made to be IP68 dust & water resistance and meet MIL-STD-810G military drop & shock resistance standards. Much higher quality materials are used to build these LG phones. They have better displays with QuadHD resolution and the best HiFi sound quality you can have from 3.5 mm audio jack. But in spec sheet View 20 is ahead with a better Kirin 980 processor, new trend of punch whole display albeit of lower resolution FullHD & bigger battery. And yes Honor's EMUI is much more polished the than LG's UI. But believe me when I say the audio quality through Huawei/ Honor phones audio jack is the worst I have ever experienced and LG are leagues ahead in this field. Huawei/ Honor own Kirin branded audio codecs are the worst in the business. I own last years Honor View 10 & LG V30. Given the pick I will chose the V30 any day over View 10 just because of the overall package. Similarly given the pick between LG V40 and Honor View 20 my pick will be V40 despite V40 sporting a smaller battery. Personally I don't prefer G series due to the smaller screen size and always opt for V series. You cannot compare gold with silver.

 • Hmmm. Honor View 20 costs €548 here (128GB version) and the LG G7ThinkQ €320 (not 128 GB but expansion with SD card possible). So...IF the View 20 is better, that's what you pay for. Not sure if it's worth those extra €€.

 • It will:

 • Does European version have wireless charging?

 • Great phone but seriously dissapointed that theres no Android P update still. its absolutely ridiculous how long its taking, Q will be out soon. i wont be buying another LG phone just for this reason

 • One of the core reason I went of LG V30+ over G7 is due to camera performance. V30+ (128 GB version) has a better camera and got it for dirt cheap $330. I compared both & found V30+ have many advantages over G7, while G7 have just one advantage in a newer SD 845 SoC while costing at around $430.

 • i have question, the main lens in g7 has 30 mm right? so lossless zoom should be 90mm - am I right?

 • It's a really awesome phone, the screen is great, it's really snappy, and the audio on a wired headset is amazing. The only downsides I see are the camera, which isn't that great, and you can't remap the Google Assistant button.

 • LG india has released Feb security update OTA

 • Disappointed by the camera style , the G6 camera model was wonderful but the G7 is classic.

 • you are absolutely right..I am highly impressed with battery life and charging speed of my view 20.. with 3 hr call+ 6 hr hotspot+ lots of downloading in background it is giving 8+ hrs of screen on time .. charging speed is just insane . overall so happy with this purchase

 • If you wish for a flagship grade phone with great battery life then you have made the correct choice by investing on a Huawei Honor View 20. I have its predecessor the Honor View 10 and believe be when I say it is a king when it comes to battery life. Huawei implements their propriety Huawei Quick Charge tech on View series and it is crazy fast. The 3,750 mAh battery of View 10 has a special charge voltage of 4.4 volts which is nearly half of what the supplied 9 volt charger can deliver. So what Huawei have done is to convert and double the current to the battery to charge rapid fast. It does so by using its proprietary HiSilicon Hi6523 chip in View 10, which converts the chargers 9V, 2A (18 watt) input to 4.4V, 4A (17.6 watts, ~ 0.6 watt conversion loss) and provide 4 amperes or raw current to the battery. The benefit of all this is nothing short of astounding charging speeds with 0 to 50% charge in 30 mins, 0 to 75% in 50 mins, 0 to 90% in 63 mins & 0 to 100% in 80 mins flat. I did this measurement while keeping the View 10 switched off and charger connected. It beats my LG V30+ with Qualcomm QC 3.0 solution in charging speed. Suppose with both my V30+ & View 10 batteries fully depleted, V30+ will give me 3000 mAh of charge in 75 mins while View 10 will provide 3563 mAh in the same time.

 • What do you confuse about? If look at spec, G7 is opponent of S9, cause they use a same SOC snap845. But in prize area, G7~S8+. If you care about performance, G7 is best choice.

 • Confused with g7 and samsung s8...which is best???pls tel

 • simply canceled the delivery.. .. once you receive the package you can only replace mobile, can't return it for refund...

 • So, you just returned the G7+ without using it?

 • good choice but actually I just returned my G7 from flipkart (refused delivery) as today as I was getting like 2000 extra off so just bought honor View 20, I know price difference is huge between G7 and V20 but again I feel Lg G7 small battery is not good for heavy user like me. In past I have used Galaxy s6 edge with pathetic battery life and after recalling those days a big no to 3000 mAh phone.

 • I also performed a lot of research which boiled down to 2 phones, LG G7+ and LG V30+. As everybody knows the G series is about new concept & technology like newer SoCs while V series comes out later with better implementation of the concept and much higher grade components. This is the reason why V series is always more expensive than G series. Got the V30+ @ INR 23.25K from Flipkart after heavy discounts without exchange. Extremely happy with the purchase, great OLED display, 0.3 cm more wider display than G7 gives better game and video enjoyment and the bigger battery gives great battery life.

 • Does it heat up?

 • In India 4/64GB model is currently selling for 400$ compared to OP6 $500, OP6t 535$, View 20 535$, galaxy S9 680$, exchanged my old phone and what I really paid is 340$ After lots of research regarding camera and other things I decided to buy this one, things I hate is battery backup and Android updates, still as I am saving like 100$ on this so I am ok with these 2 drawbacks and if I really need I can always buy a power bank for like 15$... soon I will give battery review like SOT etc in case anyone is looking for it..

 • Always use the Low Brightness

 • I agree, Wikileaks opinion is sarcastic. Please WL, we rely on your expert unbiased opinion from now on please and thanks.

 • I worried about the software update, and the battery backup it drain so fast....

 • its sound is clear and much better than many other mono speakers...it has Quad DAC which is a very essential add on...however it produces fantastic acoustic if you can use a good ear or head phone of sony, one more, RHA etc either wireless or wired

 • the lg g7 speaker is louder, :

 • Guys I am little confused about the quality of it's speaker output. I know it's loud but still it's mono. I mean there are no stereo speakers. So how's the speaker quality. There's only one single speaker which isn't stereo. So after keeping up that in mind, how's it's speaker quality?

 • May i know when will the latest android pie update release worldwide cuz most of the new phones like sony or even samsung already got their updates, Thks.

 • Yeah sarcasm, I get it. However I'm srs.

 • This is the best phone I have ever had, great performance, great camera, really loud speakers, I love it.

 • Yes... Chronic. i just take about 5 tylenols and 3 advils a day so i can play pubg mobile for 4 hour periods. its not a bad compromise and the pills can be found at your local drugstore. 10/10 recommend doing so if your getting such symptons/ happy thinq'ing

 • Does anyone experience PWM issues (eye strain, headache, nausea) due to the 1200hz display?

 • Lg g7 has the great display which is best in price range only second to oneplus for some people i guess...phone is worth buying! The only annoying thing i find is the software updates. Rest everything is great!

 • maybe you should have had your phone in a plastic bag before you sprayed it with a hose beeman

 • first things first/ rest in peace uncle phil/ for real ! , 2nd this bee man guy has no idea what hes talking about lg g7 speakers are loud and great/ i bet he eats turkey bacon by choice

 • The Q6 is where it's at. I traded my iPhone XS max for the Q6. never been so pleased.

 • I can't believe this Wikileaks guy. Wow!!! this phone is horrible. Speaker is terrible. There's a better speaker in my kids Fisher Price tape recorder. I sprayed this phone with my garden hose, it broke. Was it supposed to be water resistant????

 • You have obviously never compared an s9 to an iPhone. Either that or you need your eyes tested.

 • G7 speaker can get slightly louder than the V40. Quality wise the V40 should be better as it's tuned by Meridian Audio.

 • Why are you giving wrong answer are you blind please read his questions

 • I'm going to wash your mouth out with soap. This phone has a battery saver mode and charges so fast the 3000mah battery is unnoticeable.

 • I prefer the ips lcd over the oled screens just looks sharper and more crisp. The g7 thinq is smaller I'm the hand and packs the same punch for a lower price. I'd go with the g7 thinq your getting more phone for less dollars. But, if oled washed out dooky screen is your preference and bigger battery then go for the V40.

 • Whose speaker is better LG V40 or LG G7 Plese reply

 • Lg mobile switch

 • can i copy my settings and apps from v20 to lg g7 somehow?

 • After a month using the LG G7 i can say with confidence that LG just got it, this time no crappy hardware problems like their previous flagships, works with no problems, lots of good features like the Quad DAC chip, blazing fast performance and the only minor downside is the battery can be short compare to other current flagship but still better than old LG high end models.

 • Why unreasonable ? Isn't the S9 a flagship too ? Check reviews for both endurance ratings are 78 and 77 hours for the S9 and G7 respectively only one hour more on the S9 but 3G talk time and web browsing is higher on the G7 and I agree video playback the S9 beats the G7 but you don't only play videos all day on your smartphone so the S9 with AMOLED is not that much better in battery department.

 • I used to love my lg g3 and desided to switch to lg g7 having in mind all the good stuff my previous phone had.And I was totaly dissapointed .The things I appreciated the most in g3 were absent in g7 and I paid almost the same prize!First, lg g7 doesn't have IR blaster ,second -it doesn't support usb type c video output, and third -the battery is 3000 mah-the same. There are some good features ,though.I can watch uhd movies (unfortunately no hdmi output?)and it supports g4+ mobile signal wich gives me way better net speed .I hope my comment will be useful to someone who blindly (like me) will deside to just buy a product that is just a shadow of a great phone.

 • I have LG G7. 3000 mAh battery is good for me but not great (I don't use the screen much). And Samsung Galaxy S9 has an OLED screen. It's unreasonable to compare.

 • Excellent reply

 • Samsung Galaxy S9 also has 3000 mAh battery.

 • A flagship with only 3000mAh battery? Are you kidding, LG?

 • Was thinging about buying the lg g7 thinq but was wondering if anybody had any problems connecting to total wireless?

 • Thanks a bunch for your reply.

 • Galaxy cameras are better than the G7 thinq but not by a huge margin. The G7 shoots great photos and the ultrawide camera is good. If you want photos like the Galaxy then just purchase the Galaxy or if you want LG then go for the V40.

 • How's the camera on the G7? Does it take great photos compared to the likes of note 9/S9+ is the wide angle lens good enough??

 • its everybody except for the google pixels, its crazy bud. i dont understand why the companies that make these phones save money employing people to make their own os and just give them all the Android Native OS so we all get it at launch, its the only thing letting android phones down and the only thing apple has thats any good on its side.

 • I think an earlier reply I wrote violated the forum rules, since it was never published. No links included in this second try: I like the size of the LG G7, it is a mid-size flagship phone with the same screen aspect ratio as almost all newer phones during 2018. Almost all new phones use the new longer aspect ratio. The width for the LG G7 is the same as for older 5.2" inch phones that used the shorter 16:9 aspect ratio. The V40 is the full-size flagship from LG, similar to OnePlus 6T. Thoose phones are too wide for me to be used with one hand. They are also too high to fit most of my pockets, but the G7 is exactly the max size for many of my pockets. Apps and OS will be re-designed for the new longer aspect ratio, with the often used input controls moved to the lower half of the screen where they can be reached with one hand. You can use a screen size calculator to find out width and hight of the screen if you only have the diagonal and aspect ratio. The one I used I entered the aspect ratio and diagonal and got the other fields calculated. Aspect ratio with smallest number first, because the calculator was built for screens in landscape mode. LG G7: ---- Aspect ratio 9 : 19.5 Diagonal 15,5 cm / 6.1 inches Width 6.5 cm / 2.6 inches Height 14.1 cm / 5.5 inches Moto X4: ---- Aspect ratio 9 : 16 Diagonal 13,2 cm / 5.2 inches Width 6,5 cm / 2,5 inches Height 11,5 cm / 4,5 inches

 • I like LG but my biggest problem with this company are Android upgrades. They also wrote for my current LG planned upgrade but it never came. That why I don't want LG anymore even this one looks amazing.

 • I am facing a peculiar problem about Network reception. When I move into an area where network reception is very weak or almost nonexistent, particularly very closed or interior spaces, the phone of course does not have any network but when I move out from such an area to an area, like open area, where network reception is good, the network doesn't return automatically. I have to either restart the phone or put it in airplane mode for a while and deactivate it later on. Can someone please give me a solution to this problem which is a very serious issue. The phone is otherwise very good and I love it too but this problem is driving me crazy. Thank you.

 • I have the G7 and I love it, the onlky thing I can say is to install Nova Launcher and GCam. This will give you the best user experience. Also only use the included USB-C cable, from my experience others seem to fall out a little too easy. other than that its a perfect phone but if a OLED is a must - maybe consider the V40 ThinQ...

 • Hi, can u share the link for the gcam.

 • overall device wise you will be happy with lg g7. it has excellent 2k screen, boombox speaker, wireless charging and wonderful cameras. option to hide notch. but if you want oled display only go for v30. ignore asus zenfone from your list.

 • The diagonal is totally irrelevant! A 7 inch diagonal on a 2 centimeter wide screen is a smaller screen even though 7 inches is a gigantic diagonal! G7 ThinQ screen is very small/narrow, but at the same time uncomfortably too tall!! A square is the biggest rectangle! Phone manufacturer are fooling customers to think they buy a "big" screen when the diagonal is long, but the screens are actually getting smaller/cheaper the more narrow the screen get, even if the diagonal is 6 inches or longer!

 • Great phone, very bright screen with good viewing angles, camera is good and very good after installing GCam. QuadDAC is just amazing and the performance is top of the line, 4GB RAM is still enough but will degrade quickly with time. Battery time is around 4-5h SoT for me so it is very nice for such a powerful phone

 • It is 6.1 inches. It doesnt matter how narrow or wide it is. 6.1 is 6.1

 • i got this phone . nice phone, super bright screen/ great resolution/ fast/ great camera/ looks nice- speaker sounds good but the screen is way to tall/ find my self wanting a google pixel just for the basic form factor and size/ phone can be bugg/ find myself closing apps and such/ i wish i had all the specs of this device but a iphone 6/7/8 size style of screen / but no ios

 • The LG G7 ThinQ screen is far too small! It is not really 6.1 inches because it is too tall but too narrow, it is even smaller/narrower than my Moto X4 5.2 screen!

 • Ugly model G6 much much stylish than G7. Camera model ridiculios in G7 should continue like G6 camera.

 • Using it for past few months, only problem till now is, getting very low range, unable to hear at the other end, when positioned horizontally...other than that, camera is above average, charging is fast, good battery backup, all else are best in class, never hanged, but one must stop after updating for 2-3 update as this can make the phone slow as usual. I was a Sony fan, shifted to 5t, but sold due to high radiation issues, then moved to LG accidentally, but now love this phone...very low radiation, no headache or eye sight issue like my old 5t, or not so much issue with updates like Sony...

 • Is anybody having problems with wifi or screens just keep using Smart cleaning

 • SDR (Software Defined Radio), World-Radio, DVB-T TV and external antenna output socket. please ! :)

 • Go for the G7. The only advantage the V30 has is the OLED display but even then it's not among the best OLEDs but the G7s LCD display is one of the best LCD display in smartphones. Zenfone 5z only advantage was price and the slightly larger battery but since it's available for you at the same price as the the LGs offerings I would say pick up the G7.

 • OLED display plus good sound...Then go for LG V30...It may not have stereo speaker but it has Quad DAC and other sound modulating features...its a beautiful phone at look too...similarly good is LG G7 but it has notch...However you can mask it

 • Should I get LG G7, LG V30 or Asus Zenfone 5Z? I mean, I really want an Oled display and the notch is eww, I'm interested in speaker 2, but 5Z has stereo, again which one should I buy, they are all the same price in my country. Cheers!

 • I got new update in lg g and now otg-pendrive is not working Every time I connect pendrive via otg, it is detecting as a power supply

 • it depends a lot on your type of usage. i average 6 hours of SOT but i dont play games much and dont really use it intensively. i even got 8 hours once. things like brightness level, location, syncing, AOD and other settings have a huge impact on what you get out of your battery

 • He is just joking this is a good phone only the LG update system sucks. Features wise this phones 4GB RAM 64 GB storage variant is available for only 33000 INR the most bang for the buck flagship in India.

 • Its a pretty good phone in general. Sound quality is exceptionally good. The battery back up is at least 30 hrs in routine use. You may close the apps which you are not using routinely. Close location too unless required. These too drain battery. Overall its a class phone but of course less hyped as LGs marketing strategy is much poor.

 • I have purchased a LG G7 ThinQ 64/4 version on the sale. I am worried about - battery. The battery reviews are not good. Relying on the GSMA battery endurance 77hrs (which is generally very much correct), the endurance is 11hrs ore than Oneplus 3 (66 hrs). However, I will be happy if friends can give an honest opinion to me in this regards As pl advice if it is worth buying now specially that new versions of LG and or other companies may launch sooner or later... Thanks in advance

 • wat do u mean? lg is good?

 • How is the battery backup of this phone instead havibg 3000mah battery????

 • Both the LG G7 thinq and the V40 thinq support QC4 as per Qualcomms device list.

 • This is working great you can buy it without any worry.

 • Apple and samsung also bootloop aka stucked on logo

 • QHD display around 550 ppi, great audio quality with dac and boombox speaker which is very professional, not just ip68 waterproof but also milspec certified which makes the phone alot stronger than other phones, SD845 although other phones with SD845 scores more in benchmarks but its okay, wireless charging, 16mp wide angle camera [although its not very wide after the update], anyway this phone has got almost everything blend in so perfectly , the phone is also super shiny and premium and i got it on sale, will receive after 3 days and hey its the LG its the KOREANS 😎

 • Looking to buy G7Thinq, are any users facing any issue, had used G6 and faced lot of issues as it used to freeze while working every now and then

 • lg new upadte available ota.

 • There is one more version of LG G7 . It is for Tmobile (USA). Its model number is LMG-710R. It supports LTE: 2, 4, 5, 12, 46, 66, 71 UMTS: Band I (2100), Band II (1900), Band IV (1700/2100), Band V (850)

 • Watch out if you have a LG G7 with a (Dutch) T-Mobile Simcard. The last update this week cases bootloops and to fix it you need to send it back to T-Mobile or LG!

 • I have lg g7 thinq. This ph is very good. Only point is battery and update processes very slow. Otherwise this ph is valuable price. Or headphone sound is awesome.

 • i have the lg g7 thinq eu version for a couple of months now. since the first boot the fm radio app worked for a couple of minutes and then stopped working and freeze. only way to close the app is by restarting the phone. got it to service , they changed the motherboard but the problem is still there. i have the latest firmware update September 1 and the latest version of fm radio (7.0.16). hard reset did not work! any thoughts or help?

 • tnx my friend Rahul.so you advice me to buy lg g7?i dont understand your opinion :)

 • I have lg g7. Please dont waste your hard earned money. Only display is good else nothing.

 • hy friends !!! lg g7 or galaxy s9 or xperia xz2?

 • If ur LG G7/G7+ doesn't have stock FM radio app, you can intall the latest version by using the below link: If u find it helpful, hit thanks button.

 • Thank you for your detailed review man.

 • attach earbuds or headphone

 • you have to plug in the headphones as they play the role of antenna; other than that...scan frequencies and you're good to go....

 • So, just got the Global Version of this phone and my quick first impressions: -LCD IPS has pretty rich colors, blacks not as good as OLED, but the colors can be nicely adjusted as well, realistic or punchy. -QUAD DAC: The DAC in this phone ain't no joke, with my Sennheiser HD 599, you gotta turn down the volume a bit, that's how loud it gets. Details can be adjusted and sounds very detailed, when used with good music. definitely liking this! -Camera: Main Camera lacks behind the competition a bit, especially in post processing. OIS is nice to have though, Wideangle (though reduced) is still a great secondary funtion, and thanks to an update, 4K Video with 60 FPS has been enabled, very nice! Also fell in love with the manual mode, where basically everything can be adjusted even the audio. Very professional and detailed! -Wireless charging isn't as fast as on a S9 but works instantly, no problems there. -Boombox: Will have to test that on different surfaces, but it definitely makes the sound quite a bit bassier and louder. -Feel: It does feel lighter than an S9 for example, but in my opinion, this is a pretty grippy phone, which looks especially nice in the Blue Variant that I got.

 • How to set Fm radio in this phone

 • Joe can it be the best value when it is more expensive than most flagships in Germany?

 • Sounds like Pixel 2 XL is perfect for you.

 • Stop your Megpixel bs

 • LG in the other flagship mobile (G8 or v50) you must be add some great features, Like camera improvement, dual stereo speakers, Battery at least 4500mAh, 3 Camera on the back, 1. 24MP with f1.4 (Normal) 2. 21MP with f1.6 (telephoto) 3. 16MP with f1.8 (ultra wide) 2 cameras on the front, 1. 21MP with f1.6 (Normal) 2. 16MP with f1.9 (wide + depth) Advance Manual Control for photography and videography,

 • I m pretty confused between LG G7 . OnePlus 6T and Pixel 2XL. My going for mobile is camera and LG G7 is not lesser than Pixel 2 XL when it comes to camera and but all I worried of software updates

 • One must use good quality headphones and high quality audio file to understand hi fi. I'm using LG V20, and sound output is very good. I listened to songs using Oneplus 6 and that is not clear as LG V20. Hence, I switched back to LG V20 :).

 • If g7 is too tall, you cannot use any phones these days haha.

 • Mainly because the 6T is probably the best value android phone available

 • I just discovered what an amazing value this phone is. It is just € 400 in Germany! This is right in the middle between Galaxy S9 and Pocophone F1. With that in mind, I can't get why OnePlus still exists in 2018 ...

 • I dont think g7's camera is as bad as you say, by using gsm's comparison tools, yes xz2 is slightly more detailed but both phones are really good at low light compared to iphonex and as good as s9 for exapmle (https://www.gsmarena.com/piccmp.php3?idType=5&amp;idPhone1=9115&idPhone2=9081&idPhone3=9343) And by a youtube cam comparison, i can say that g7 has more dynamic range at times. Battery wise i guess its average but not *bad*. Anyways g7's selling points for me are wide angle camera, very bright display and really good audio recording quality(there arent many vids on utube showing xz2 mic capabilities but i found 1 vid and i suppose its good). Another thing is g7 is cheaper than most flagships and xz2 isn't even being sold in my country so :D. Even if it did i'd choose lg. These are my opinios but still i dont think one would be so sad for buying a lg. Depends on what you want i suppose

 • so i did the test. By shining a flashlight to the sensor in the store, it easily goes up to 1000 nits. And apart from a few drops to 550 nits caused by me(because holding a phone for 20 minutes is hard and thus, i sometimes misaligned the flashlight) it stayed 1000nits for as long as i needed, 20 minutes that is. I stopped the test after that and display was only warm. So my conclusion is if the phone doesnt heat up much by other factors(low connection, direct sun etc.), you can use 1000nits as you please. Just a side note: at the start of the test manually toggling the brightness brought the display to 1000nits. After the 20min, doing it manually only brought it to 850nits or so. So i quickly switched to auto and shone my flashlight on it and it went up to 1000nits again. I dont know why it didnt manually boost to 1000 second time but it wasnt because display was hot and doing it auto still makes it 1000 nits so no problems i guess. I also retested note 9 with flashlight (this time i had more time so i did a 5minute test) White:It went from the manual 550nits to 1000nits and stayed like that for 5 min(i stopped after 5 min and display was only slightly warm,it'd probably do longer if i needed) Red: I just wondered what would happen if the image wasnt white. It went from around 250 nits(i forgot exact value) to approx 400nits. Even though 400 doesnt sound like much, it was actually bright just like 1000nits white. Its probably about the amount of subpixels being lit. In red you only have 1 sub being lit, while in white you have all the 3 sub being lit. Sadly i forgot to see what would happen with lg boosted in red color. But as iphone6's lcd does 630nits white and 220 nits red, we can assume lg follows the same pattern. All right, i hope i just satisfied someone else's curiosity out there haha. Have a nice day. edit: i also tested note 8 actually and in the store, it was the first time i saw what burn in in oled means. Since it shows the same image with high brightness for looong periods of time there was a text embeded in the screen.(the text stays there whatever you do, its like a part of screen now) And it only managed up to 850 with flashlight. wanted to share (i cant believe they even showcase a burned in model, maybe no one did notice lol)

 • Close your eyes and buy sony xp. Xz2. If you even thinking about to buy lg g7 then you wii be regrett always .Neither camera, nor battery back up .sound quality through ear phone is dull. There is only a hype creating by lg that it has 32 bit audio dack and fallan -fallan. Even my previous zenfone 2 is 1000 times better than this waste. Only display is good but not great.

 • I really wanna get this or the Sony Xperia XZ2 on Black Friday. Hoping for some incredible deals that will make both drop down to 500 and below here in Switzerland.

 • Im suprised, because for audio fans there is only one choice-Htc.Htc started with quad audio dac long before others(plus dolby) and unlike LG now- u dont need special headphones(with htc 10 and higher u ll get those expencive headphones)- but even without ones,im using poor lg headphones, cheap from cheaper lg lowbudgwt phone-sound for music is far away the best.

 • Thanks for the info

 • Not regularly but i got one update after using 5-6 days which improves some UI bugs . it's still running without any issues . Lg is not very popular for their regular updates . They only do when users facing any problem or any major os update . I think it's good bcoz when you get updates sometimes it harm your phone or improve your phone little bit . Enjoy ....

 • Do u recieve security updates regularly?

 • Use a good earphone or headphone and Use snapdragon equalizer by google play music then you can control it . For cameras you should try google camera which is available for Lg G7 . You will find it on google camera port hub . I am using it on my G7 thinq and it's just great . Battery life is average in my usage . I am getting 5-6 hrs on a single charge . But i am very happy with the sound quality . Best of luck .

 • 1- well i dont have fetish for using 1000nits in my dark room lol 2-Its okay, i am going to do it in a few weeks :), just the way i did to note9. My problem was that the day i tested note 9, i learned lg g7 is replaced by q7 in most stores(I went like 3 stores and they all had q7's and one guy said g7 is old lol). I'll do it again when i have time ^^(i also learned where i can find it) And ill surely write here when i do the test! :D

 • In india 64 gb rom, 4 gb ram version available at rs 29999/-

 • Even the default earphones are giving great output what I found

 • 30000? If rs then where did u get it from. The DAC quality is good, but u need to have same high quality headphones. Somewhere in the comments people were recommending headphones with above 50ohms . Not sure if this helps. Also on my old G6 i played around with the settings of my display , themes and standby screen to get better battery life. Not sure if it will help with your G7.

 • I am a audio centric and i have prchased this for listening good qality of music. But totally disappointing. My 30000/- hard earned money has wasted. There is only a hype created by lg that it has dedicated hyfi 32 bit audio dac. But the quality of sound is totally distortion on full volume. My previous zenfone 2 was 1000 times better than this as far as sound through ear phone is concerned. The baterry back up is horrible. Only 4 hour S.O.T. The camera on low light is worst. When uses its flash lite it makes picture totally yellowish. I am irritated to purchase this rubbish phone. Now i have put this waste on OLx

 • 1. Well, it's annoying to have a super bright screen facing your face, let alone to let it lit for longer period of time. I never even hold it in max brightness past 1 minute 2. As much as I appreciate your passion, I'm sorry that I couldn't do your favor since I only have one phone. If you really curious with this phone, Why don't you just go to LG store and try it for yourself? The experience would be different if you hold it by hand than just get info from reviews & opinions :)

 • Can anyone suggest a good screen protector for this phone in india. I couldn't find anyone with good reviews on online sites.

 • btw i did this test on a shop today, sadly they didnt have g7 but i found a note 9 and while i put note 9 on my phones sensor, the guy working there held iphonex's flashlight to note 9's sensor. (they were near each other so :p) without flashlight it was around 500lux, with flashlight it went around 700lux(both pure white screen), and when i went to main screen, where your normal apps are, it jumped between 900-1000lux so thats amazing and i wanted to share ;D.

 • haha last sentence is me :D, since you have the phone could i ask a few questions? 1-Would 1000nit work all the time, if you kept pushing the button every 3 minutes? 2-If you dont mind can i ask u to test sth? You need 2 phones tho(your lg and any other smartphone which has brightness sensor) but im gonna say it anyways it may interest you as well. First download cpu-z to the other phone, after opening cpu-z go to sensors, there will be a measurment in "lux". Next, download a pure white image to g7 from google and then open it(leave g7 in auto mode on, dont use manual boost). Now put g7 directly onto the other phones sensors(usually near front camera). While g7 is on the other phones sensor, shine a flashlight on g7's sensor(kinda annoying but..) If it shows like 900-1000lux in cpuz-, it means 900-1000nits. Could you check how long does it take for lux measurment to start declining? Its fine if you dont wanna test, i still appreciate your answer ^^

 • I think you need to get it fixed. Mine is fine, both cameras work great.

 • The 1000 nits cannot be set up permanently and it only holds it for 3 mins (you need to set it up manually by tapping the boost icon). However, the full brightness in auto mode will be fine, at least for me. I currently use LG G7+ and live near equator area which get a lot of sun light, and I don't find it necessary to manually boost the screen brightness under the sun light since the screen is still readable (unless you need super bright screen and don't want to have any dimmer screen under the sun).

 • I also read all of them, 3 mins for manually boosting it, but i thought it could have been different if left in auto mode only. I read somewhere lg g5 could boost its luminance up to 800 in auto but would immediately start decreasing to a stable 600 nits over 2 minutes. Same site says its "seemingly forever" in lg g7"(I assumed they thought 3 mins is more than enough). But another site which i really trust, notebookcheck, measures screen brightness, with the ambient light sensor activated, after screen has stayed white for 10 minutes at max brightness. They measure an average of 975 nits, while they say manually boosting is temporary and only brings the display up to 935nits. In the end, since apperantly no site tests lg g7's auto brightness for prolonged periods of time, i guess ill never know for sure, i still apperciate you taking your time to answer me. Most people dont care.

 • from all the reviews currently posted on the internet, the maximum brightness can be used "up to three minutes" until it disables itself, but it can be switched on again at will. I think this is due to overheating as it tends to put as much light under the pixels as it can and also will drain the battery.

 • Ya should agree with you even i got a sot of 4-4.5 hrs if it is 3500mah battery it would be better.

 • i use public transport in noon a lot so when im waiting for the bus or going in it, even though i shade the smartphone with my body, it still reaches it maximum brightness in auto (around 500 nits) and i can clearly see its not enough and find myself wanting more. I dont own a Lg g7 thinq, nor the equipment to measure it. People ask questions when they are curious. Your comment is just.. (edit: spelling)

 • are you living under reflectors or in the middle of Sahara desert? You don't have a question..you are curious...test it yourself and give us the answer

 • I had a question about the display. Can the display, with ambient light sensor enabled in a very bright environment(not under direct sunlight but bright enough for smartphone to go up to 1000nits) sustain its 1000 nits more than 10-15minutes? Some sites say its 1000nits for 3 minutes and then it decreases over time.

 • Is it the same with g7 plus?????

 • DAC = Digital-to-Analog Converter. BT (BlueTooth) uses digital wireless transfer, therefore the used DAC must be located in the BT earphones or in the BT speakers. Because the Hi-Fi Quad DAC analog output is sent to the LG G7 3.5 mm jack it is useless for bluetooth. By the way, if you have low impedance earphones then you can try to activate the high impedance mode of the Hi-Fi Quad DAC (< 50 ohm, but maybe no less than 15 ohm, I tried 18 ohm Momentums and nothing has burned up yet): 1) Plug in an earphone extender cable (or similar), without the earphones. 2) Activate the Hi-Fi Quad DAC. It should detect infinite impedance and go into high impedance mode. 3) Set volume very low, not more than 25 (max is 70?) to begin with, to avoid damaging your hearing or the low impedance earphones. 4) Now plug in your low impedance headphones into the extender cable. 5) Start the music and enjoy your new kick-ass sound, or kick-ears sound maybe :) More info here:

 • Why lg releasing mobiles very lately...instantly lg loosing there customers ..plz release v40 fastly.in india tooo

 • No hate on LG, but still LCD and cost like $1000 in Canada. Not really worth the money. I guess the only thing I would buy for this phone is because of the BTS wallpaper/ theme since I am an ARMY. The phone has really good specs, but it's more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy S9+ which has an AMOLED display, stereo speaker, wireless charging for all versions, and has OIS for both cameras. I would pay the money on the V40 tho, it is pretty good and updated

 • dts is 0n . but hi fi quad dac is not turning on

 • Just now got an update. Downloading. What happens will see

 • Hi DTS sound is working in Bluetooth please check

 • Its one best phone, sound, pic, screen and battery is also good Abobe this phone is only note 9 and new iphone and rest of the phone is down. Must go for it.

 • Its one best phone

 • dont take this mobile wrost mobile vocie is to slow not responding no one pls do not take.

 • hello, its available OTA (Over The Air). File size is 545.0 mb

 • Just got the 10I uodate for india . it bumps the security patch level to 1st October. Some bug fixes and also 4K 60FPS support. As of now only available via LG bridge

 • plz give hi fi dac option in bluetooth connected devices tooo.... . plug in not possible everytime

 • I have been using my G7 for about 3 months now the battery life is great it uses almost nothing on standby if the signal is good.

 • is there a new update for the phone? because my last update is one made on august and i feel it has been too long and the hardware is not performing to the fullest...

 • With op6 ungrt more premiunm feel in hand. But lg outweighs op6 in sar value . op6 got too high sar that can affect your head serioulsy whatever or however is its fan base across the world. Lg g7 got very low head and body sar.

 • Using for last two months ...battery life is comparitively too good considering screen size and battery size.you wont get disappointed.

 • Probably early 2019

 • Most likely. Lg g7 is only 5 months old.

 • What about all the other manufacturers that haven't updated to whatever. Lg is not the only one

 • when will LG update it to Pie

 • it has quick charge 3.0 and chargers really fast. However, battery life is average. 4-5 hours screen on time with mid to heavy usage.

 • Hello! I want to know about battery life, i mean how much time it take to fully charge and how long it lasts.. thank you

 • Does Indian version of G7 thinq has FM radio app ? I don't have it on mine, purchased it yesterday.

 • Hi guys I've had this phone for a week now and am experiencing some issues with the camera Each time i take a photo, sometimes it shows saving and this can take about 3 mintues or more Sometimes i had to close the camera App and when i go to gallery to view my pictures everything is blank And it's getting worse day by day Sometimes the pictures i took gets corrupted I've own a G3 G4 Beat G5 G6 and am currently using my V30 Plus alongside the G7 none of those phone's has ever giving me a issue except the G7 Any help will be appreciated Everything else works perfect on the phone Pls guys i need suggestions

 • Dxo is fake and liar lol

 • Check out DXOMark scores before saying crap

 • best ips screen i ever seen. super bright.

 • Have you even used this phone? This the best IPS display on the market. It rivals OLED panels easily.

 • IPS in this price range? JOke?

 • Crap.. Op6 low quality phone and cheap..dont buy!

 • Apart from that it has wireless charging it will charge even if plugin pin breaks off.

 • Lg g7 anyday...quad dac, headphone jack, wide angle lens, ip68 certification, better camera than op6/6t and do note that LG is a tier 1 brand. I think this is enough for you to buy g7 over op6/6t and yes though it has 3000mah battery it's still optimised

 • Do I buy this LG g7 or wait for op6t which I think will be around the same price in India. Op6t won't have a headphone jack, dats d worst part, or op6 is still a bttr option

 • Nice in fact my frnd who was having iphone x could not take better selfie in low light.

 • Super ..Phone...Very much impressed...Go for it..Without any hesitation..

 • how's the camera

 • I have been using it since 1 month. Quite satisfied and best part is I am getting 2 days battery with moderate use.

 • hey guys i have been using g5 fantastic device, but from someone who has purchased g7, dont youll think the screen is bit too narrow for media consumption etc let me know ur opinion

 • Anybody facing jio issues since yesterday no voice while I'm using jio other Indian sin cards working perfectly only issue is whenever I tried call or incoming call come I'm not able to hear anything

 • Battery is also getting drained out very fast, not worth to buy this mobile@40k

 • went to shop. saw new G7 and older V30. took V30 - got 36hr of battery time. very cute device. coming from s6,7,8.

 • There are issues with this mobile and some of the functions like one handed operation is not working and customer care and after sales supports are also not really good. Be careful while choosing this expensive product.

 • mobile is west this is worst in mike is issue no bady is not responding form LG team font use pls

 • Use G Cam for Lg G7 ....huge improvemnt there mam.... then u compare op6 vs G7 then u find the diffrence...its google camera for lg mobiles

 • My bro got op6, camera gives 3d effect pics. My g7 got plenty of camera options at wide angle photos are distorted heavly at both edges so stopped using it..clarity is too low compared to op6 , or s8 which go best clarity. More pixel requires high processing po Sower which all camera lacks

 • Camera features on LG need to change by adding AF to the secondary camera and adding optical zoom or 2x lossless zoom. Otherwise, the camera is similar to the LG G6.

 • The g7 shines with head or in ear with more than 50ohm I use one dt770 and one in ear tfz king pro... Its insane. With low impedance its only good

 • i heard that op6 has the highest SAR

 • Head SAR 0.424 W/kg Body Worn SAR : 0.706 W/kg.... Radiation level is comparatively very small. Hear SAR is same as S8, S9s.... Body SAR is lowest among most of the phones. Just an info, if u care u brain

 • Still june security patch... 3months completed . no update yet . again late haaa.. Packup

 • My G7 screen looks good; however an OLED screen has better contrast, colours & most importantly better battery life.

 • thanx :)

 • Only Software and camera Optics are different but all other aspects of lg g7 + are much better than op6

 • It support volte only on jio others will come soon in software update

 • how i know if that will work? did you use htc ? it is like 1.5-2 sound level behinde htc. Sound sounds the same like in any other phone without dac ,same like in honor 8. I need to know before i do something more about it.

 • LG as usual taken its Indian customers for ride , There is 4k@60FPS update pushed to customers in other markets way back in July but here in india the phone started selling in August and it has just 4k@30FPS and there is no clue when they will update it ..just pathetic product marketing i would say

 • Replace it with warranty, my new G7 kills old HTC 10 in terms of headphone sound. Not even the same league.

 • Im having some serious isusse with sound on this one. I thought this was suppose to be a phone for us audio lovers. I mean what android phone can deliver everything one need? Great sound and ok camera? Great design? Sound on this one with heavy headpones and earphones really sucks. And im a long time HTC user . I expected LG G7 to match HTC with sound, was that not part of the hype? the SOUND . I tried all i have, headset and earphones and even wireless earphones ,but sound is crap. It dont play loud. I tried to see if there are some settings but i could not find any thing that could boost the soundlevel. Is it suppose to only go to 74/75? The settings did not help much to level up the sound. Even my old HTC E8 have better sound than G7 . Also my Htc 10 evo. It's hard to leave HTC for this low sound phone but i might have to consider HTC again even if i hate the usb c audiojack. The speaker on G7 i can say is near up to HTC . That surprised me good,if they had 2 of the same speakers they could be there with the old HTC . In general this is my first 845dragon and i like the speed of it . Wifi, bluetooth connects fast as h.. .That is one great part with this. I hate notch and NO it is not TRUE you can not turn it off with LG settings. At least i did not, so i use a NOTCH KILLER that really works There was a sale on this phone. Get 2 phones for the price of 1(850usd),so i got it half price 430usd from a private seller for the 4gb ram /64gb rom. I think this phone is not worth more than that. cons: notch and not that great sound with the jack. But great design and build quality. One phone disappointed me more than this one ,not because the audio but for the dragon inside, Sony Z5 premium.

 • Vodafone not yet supporting volte

 • yes

 • does it (lg g7) ,support wireless charging in global version?

 • u do know that there isn't a second speaker, its just one speaker that has a chamber which makes the phone essentially act like a resonance chamber when put on surfaces. The reason for this is so that you don't need a Bluetooth speaker everywhere you go, and so that you can jam out to music with your friends without having to go through the hassle of having to connect a Bluetooth speaker. just a heads up Read and understand the features about a device before you just diss the manufacturer

 • Watched a movie with speaker on. it got an additional speaker sealed inside back cover, back cover was vibrating too much as there is no openings for back sprakers. Volume is great but sound quality is too low from 2nd speaker. Caller on other side is complaining my sound is not audible, going to check this. Anybody felt this issue, please reply. Anyways congrats to lg team for placing speakers without vents, better try your luck in Google

 • yes it does support dual VOLTE

 • Yes it supports. I am using jio

 • Does G7+ ThinQ in India support VOLTE? I am using since a week and don't see an option to enable VoLTE

 • Camera quality is ok for today standards. Maybe one of the best. Good colour reproduction and pleasing manual controls. The wide angle camera is very useful. Personally I miss the lack of a dedicated 2 stages shuter button. I own a 2010 nokia n8 and a 2012 nokia 808. Also a Lumia 950 and I'm comming from an lg g5. Non of them is better than the others. It depends on the picture. But in general I'd go with the nokia 808. What I want to say is that the LG g7 hasn't got a SUPER CAEMRA. Just a good one. Video quality is very good. both in daylight and with low light. I'm not sure if the phone is lasting 2 years. Mine is 1 month old and currently in the warranty service. USB is not working and back glass is really fragile. All broken.

 • how is the camera quality?? and what about software updates, i'll be using it for 2 years atleast

 • I have used op6, op6 is on a higher class, once you hold it, you feel that you are holding a flagship model. But g7 you feel the vibration due to one speaker set inside , you feel every vibration to you hand which is embarrassing. The touch screen of op6 is good, g7 is too advanced that you feel you lose control sometimes with touch, may be these are my starting days with g7. Camera in both got different functionalities, but in both, clarity cannot be compared to Samsung s8,s9. But, you get hell lot of options with camera in g7. Though snapdragon 845, many times, got slowness in typing the first letter after chorme is opended in g7. OP6 is lightening fast, but I have to sell op6 after 1 month of usage due to its ultra high radiation, causing issues with eyes and head-ache, may be I am too much sensitive to radiation, but needless to say, there is enough reason not to select op6 if you check radiation level of op6 in internet which is on the high end of allowable radiation, and even outside the allowable radiation in a few countries which comes to around whooping 1.4 sar which will cross the limits if data is ON G7 is packed with too may options, I have selected it, as its radiation level is very small 0.4 for both head and body, so safe during call and in pocket... though feature rich, the performance is not too smooth, and font size is small, even after making it large, due to the tall design, can strain your eyes, if you crossed 40,,,other things are fine, call clarity is good. ear piece volume is good, music clarity is good, battery is comparatively ok, screen resolution is superb...so, I vote for g7 over op6. I haven't explored more to comment more.

 • is it better than op6??

 • No separate tab for miss call dialled call in/out coming going...camera is not as good as in Samsung s8.

 • nova 3 has lots of issues and even camera quality is not upto the mark and phone tends to heat up excessively even in normal use so it'll be either op6 or lg g7 and there is no point in waiting for op6t as it is not having 3.5mm jack

 • I think there is not much difference between g5 and g7. I wouldn't change. I did it because my g5 died in the pool. Now, after a month, my g7 is at teha warranty. USB port stopped working. When I removed the silicone case I realized that the back glass was broken!!!!! Unacceptabe, is it is always in a good case and the forst fall was from about 0,5 metres. There are several thing that I prefer from the g5, such as IRDA, HDMI, interchangable battery, and size. G7 is faster than g5, but not that fast. Camera... Stock camera on the g7 is very good, but you can't use google cam mod on g7. If you use google cam mod on g5 you can gae really good resoults. Video is far better on the g7, specially low light video. wide camera is wider on the g5 (130º vs 100º) To me, g7 is too tall. It doesn't fit well in many pockets. Boom box is nothing from the other world. Military resistance is a lie. IP68. After using it at the swimming pool it took a wile until I could use it propperly. Mics didn't work well. I wouldn't buy it again.

 • Op6 is better in terms of buiold quality .LG feels too fresh in terms of screen. Op6 is mnot at all recommended due to 1.4 sar agaisnt 0.4 sar of lg. Lg got vibration on back due to poor biold quality, you feel too bad with that. So you may consider nova 3 which is better in all comparitive terms.i don't recommended g7 as i bought it last week

 • i have never used any lg device yet...would u recommend g7 plus over op6??? coz in india they both have same price

 • lg v40 brother

 • This is a welcome review.... I'm currently using an LG G5 and been wondering if to get the G7 or wait for LG V40. Also considering between the Samsung Note 9, LG V40 or iPhone Xs Max

 • U r right. I agree. Quit wanting updates! They will mess up the os intentionally.

 • Battrery is draining out qiickly comparitively...also while talking the back side of phone is vibrating as we can feel the speaker in backside under finger printer sensor is also working other than ear piece. But sound clarity is good and got high volume too.

 • Ear phone vent is too small, compared to other phone, sometimes need to put loud speakers to hear calls... Let atleast you be fortunate..

 • Mobile is vibrating from back side, around center while playing audio, since it is having a speaker there, but no holes to send out the sound, as a result a deteriorated sound, as if sound is played from a metal vessel can be heard from rear side. But at bottom too, there is another set of speakers and vent, so the worse metallic sound from first speaker is a little hard to notice..

 • Software updates slow down phone, Uhh.. And even Apple injected code to slow down thru software update.. Sony had to release new updates when they tried to cheat us hampering with Audio quality last year.. It is always accept only the first or upto second update, post which phone hangs down as a thump rule

 • Just bought g7 s few hours ago. Handset is vibrating while ringing, you feel embarrassed, feels too much light weight. One plus 6 is having too high sar, due to which I have sell it out in olx. It's sar is near to 1.4, too unsafe among recently released mobile. Ideal sar should be less than 0.8 though law permits 1.6 in India.

 • Me :D

 • the battery capacity is very low compare to the lg g6 3200mah

 • but what about software updates lg is too slow in updating their devices g7 is still running on 8.0

 • I recently purchase lg g7+ thinq (6gb.128gb) It really give a premium look and feel I was. Really confused between OP6 and Lgg7 Bt at 40k I gives water resistance and hardware almost same to OP6 n i think that's the very much + point on lg g7 and wireless charging LG done a great job bt lg is not marketing this phone....

 • Yes meeee

 • Don't blame them -_-

 • In india lg g7 plus is just 3k more than op6 ...is lg g7 better than op6 i'm planning to buy in 3 to 4 days

 • Thank you..

 • I have both g6 and g7. I have been using LG since g2. 1. G7 feels more premium. 2. Low light camera is Better. 3. Speaker is loud and crispy. 4. Battery lasts till 9 pm (15% left) after full charge at 8 am. I use whats app and few web browsing. 5. G6 feels more sturdy in hand compare to g7. Advice:- avoid to upgrade to g7 8f u are using 6 now.

 • but what about battery life and software updates...lg is slow regarding software updates

 • Mate if you have money get the lg g7. One plus 6 doesnt feel as premium as the g7. LG did a great job on design and technology

 • I normally upgrade to a new device after 2 years after checking reviews of one plus 6 and lg g7 i'm confused between these two devices kindly suggest me which one should i purchase as i will be using it for 2 years and sorry for my bad english....

 • Battery life is not as bad as i was expecting, i use this phone a lot during the day, for browsing, youtube, music, facebook and in the evening time i still end up with about 10 - 15 % left, compared with my previous huawei mate 9 about same usage i was getting 30 - 35 %. Its not bad keeping in mind that huawei had bigger 4000 mah battery with 5.9 inch full hd display. If you are not a gamer you will last till the evening without any problems.

 • Everything is fine but the battery.. 3000 mah is not enough.....

 • September 2018. LG G7+ ThinQ security patch June 2018 and random reboots when stressed a bit. Unlocked model. Life is Good. Wake up soon LG please!😠

 • Lg g7 or one plus 6 which phone would u recommend?

 • Everithing is better, but the change is not worth value. I updated from an lg g5 because it died in the pool. In my experience, is the same phone but a little bit faster. The g7 is too large for me. It use to fall from my pocket. I prefer the g5 in many aspects. For example, the g5 has HDMI output.

 • Only two colour.

 • G7 ThinQ is endorsed by BTS. The price wont drop for the time being. Lets wait for all the 16 million armys to buy first; maybe after that the price can fall. FIRE huh!!

 • LG's phone are well know for their price fall quickly but this G7 thinq is still expensive, more expensive then the S9. Remember of the G5, this phone was so bad that in less than 2 mouth you could found it at 400$. Good to see LG phones not deteriorate that quickly. :-)

 • Is anyone using LG G7 ThinQ after using LG G6. If yes, please tell if it is good update to LG G7 Thinq. How is the battery life and camera???

 • No one gives the s8 or s9 sh*t for its small battery.

 • S9 Plus with that battery is better and seems like Samsung did optimize it further with the August patch. Never experienced boot loop (G4 user) and G7 is actually working good so far. Sad to hear your experience but it could happen to any manufacturer for any issue. Does the Samsung's still explode? Does the iPhone's still bend? Etc.

 • me

 • Who's really here because of BTS promoting the device? Leave a reply say "yes"

 • Thank you so much

 • Go for LG G7 ont go for nova 1. LG is tire 1 Brand an yes update are slow but you will receive updates for sure i am old lg user i have LG G Pro, G Pro 2 , LG V10, V20, now i am using V30 & S9 + (LG v30 is good only disply is dull a bit comare to s9 +) trust me you wont regard Buying LG go for it

 • What languages are in.?

 • I'm planning to buy g7+ but i'm concerned regarding software updates ..i heard that lg is too slow in updating their smartphones...suggest me between g7+ and huawei nova 3 and another thing is that i'll be using it for 2 years...so which1 is future proof amongst these 2

 • A bit regret with the battery, But still love LG the most!

 • I can tell you by experience that after 10 full recharges the battery life is extraordinary!

 • LG phones always great value for money high spec phones.

 • Only Two color available. Reject

 • Still rockin' my LG G3 though. But nice phone!

 • Does the lg g7 have 4k 30 fps image stabilization (was it added in an update)?

 • You have some point there with the capacities, since the number alone does not indicate the actual battery life - we should also take efficiency of the system into account, some phones can do wonders with a small battery because their optimization is smart, while others can barely last on a few hours of SOT on the same battery. The G7 is doing well for the 3,000mAh, I would say It's pretty optimized, but I wish indeed that they would include a 3,300mAh battery.

 • Boy never in my life I thought I find find someone who understands the difference between the battery types you have mentioned kudos to you ..Lg Should start saying they have used better battery ..but again LG has a deal with all the other major companies that it will never market their phones in public !!!

 • Hey Bro you nailed it using lg g pro2 for 3 plus years .Got lg v20 for my brother .if v20 was in stock I would have bought it again .it's a master piece . a) one of the problem is they have quality issues at times and 8 months buy back is amazing .Every manufacture has their own problen

 • Have already done that, comfort view is not enabled on both the phones. All settings are at default. One phone is also having very slight back light bleed at the bottom edge. Its poor quality control. There is a post from someone showing multiple G7 phones on different stores having back light bleed issues. No wonder why LG doesn't sell as well as Samsung.

 • S7 with Oreo is the last of a compact powerhouse. Only 32 GB Hybrid style slot meant it wasn't future proof though excellent still (wife using one). S8 is better than S9 at least for Exynos. Snapdragon never reached our shores. G7 + ThinQ I am using has difficulty with holding on to GPS (discovered now) which is fixed in July security patch update but not available in India. LG's consistency with bootloop earned them a tag which will take time. Samsung though good have their own issue of UI lag that will take some time but is the most feature rich and stable.

 • Why the hell did they feature a 3,000 mAh battery? That is not sufficient for a screen in this size. So disappointed with LG.

 • check your 'comfort view' setting.

 • iam using lg g6 and it is almost one year old my g6 is amazing not a single problem and after updat to oreo it much faster and battery life is also extended. so iam thinking for upgrade to lg thinku

 • Coming from LG G flex 2 (bootloop in 8 months used) to S7 ( 2 years and still counting no issue so far, ), upgraded to V30 (experience IR in 6 months used) bought S9 plus got 6 hours SOT. I will never go back to LG.

 • I have two Lg G7 phones and my biggest concern is the difference in display on the two devices. One phone has a pinkish screen and the other has warm yellowish screen. The difference is huge and you can easily tell that. The color settings on both the phones are set to auto. Its either because of two different kind of displays being used in the phone or its a factory display calibration problem. Has anyone else noticed this? Didn't expect this on a flagship device.

 • This is turning out to be a fantastic purchase so far. Used S7 and upgraded to S9. Was the biggest mistake as the Exynos variant is pretty bad. Sold it after 2 months as was not practical to format every month to fix the battery drain and over heating. S8 is far better in this regard. Next was Pixel 2. Solid device but Stock Android is too vanilla. Upgrade to Pie was nice and smooth but the GPS bug while using Maps remains and was reliant on 3rd party apps for features. Now, G7. It is the best allrounder. Still on June security patch but I need my phone to just work with DUAL SIM functionality. RAM and ROM are perfect. Updates can wait if the device can work this awesome.

 • Bought G7 .... amazingly bright screen easily visible in bright sunlight. The LCD has 4 pixels Red Green Blue and White. This screen uses very little power when compared with my previous phones when brightest screen is used. I ride a bike a lot outdoors and the G7 is simply terrific. Highly recommend this phone. We bought from T-mobile on a two for price of one deal.

 • My g5 died in the swimming pool so I've bought the g7 TinQ. I prefer my old G5 for the reasons below: - Irda - Wider camera - Removable battery - Size. G7 is too long and falls from my pocket. - And a very important one to me: HDMI output G7 over the G5: - Better screen - Water proof - Sighltly better performance. There is not a big difference in performance. Camera in the g7 is better, but on the g5 you can install Google Cam Mod, and in can't find any mod working on the g7. In my opinion is not worth update from the G5 to the G7

 • bootloop and motherboard are big, unprecedented problems on LG phones ... g3, g4, v10, pro lite d686 ... Problems occur after 12 - 18 months after the purchase (immediately after the warranty period) ... The most convenient is a review after 18 months and not after 1 month.

 • Yeah. Their G4 was my nightmare!

 • i want to purchase lg g 7 think, can i purchase this mobile, any body suggest me, it is ok to invest on this model of lg???

 • It last me a full day of streaming with less than an hour to full charge, its still new so that could get worse over time, but I'm really enjoying it atm :)

 • G series r their best in the line up. The models upto g5 was absolute failure. But from g6 onwards they made a great come back !!!!

 • The real life battery usage of my G6 is very impressive, usually by 6 pm I am still left with 40%, unless I play heavy games. I compared with my friends s8 while traveling together using GPS, the g6 won by a wide margin. I am certain LG has really optimized the LGG7 battery life really well but do not understand why the fact is not well reflected with bloggers and websites tests.

 • G7 thinq is very big competitor for oneplus 6 in india

 • I wasn't disappointed ;) haha

 • would have been perfect (FOR ME) if it had a bigger battery... 3500mAh would be great. - MIL-STD-810G compliant is above everybody else.

 • This is LG G7 but u only think about G3? 4 5 6 is way too long :(

 • Great price tag in india. If lg do this b4 2months oneplus will be fadeout..... Best of lg in india

 • Dude device is already on Oreo 8.0 !

 • High price

 • I am using a Lg G7 for a week, a great by, battery good, marvelous screen, fast at any app, slimmer than S9+, very happy. I was using a Motto Z, my wife has Ann S8 and my sister a S9+. I would recommend LG G7 is cheaper than S9+ at your country, camera click is slower than S9+, all else is equal or better, I don't like curved screen.

 • Pls do not expect Oreo update any time in India. Difiency of LG kind of OEM's is driving sales of One plus phones in India. Buoyed by this One plus has announced their OP3/3T will get android P, wihch is a third major OS upgrade after Nougat and Oreo. LG exactly this opposite way, i.e., if they delay OS updates to old devices, their G7 will be sold. I am saying this practically as I am using LG G6 and One plus 5, both phones released around same time in India. LG G6 has not even received 7.1 update whereas OP 5 is on 8.1 and received so many updates. But once trust of customer is lost, it is difficult to build. Imagine V20 the first phone launched with Nougat in Sep 2016 is yet to get Oreo update in Aug 2018. No OS update in 2 years, horrible. If people like us can stop buying LG devices, may be then they realize their mistakes. God save LG mobiles in India.

 • same experience i have bro. lg is scamming their customers with low quality phone.

 • i had a bad experience with LG G3 2 years ago, why do they make such low quality phone. i think its a worldwide issue during that time. g3 going into blue screen. i love the brand but after that experience with LG G3. they scam their customer last time with LG G3. i dont know what issues on other flagship phones. never to LG again.

 • i got disappointed with LG G3, why do they make such low quality phone. i think its a worldwide issue during that time. g3 going into blue screen. i love the brand but after that experience with LG G3. never to LG again.

 • It is coming to India in early August.

 • I have had a V20 for the last couple years. Solid phone, great screen. Battery is getting tired due to how hard I push it, but at least I can still REPLACE it instead of having to buy a new phone just to get a new battery. That is my one complaint about the new LG phones. You can make a waterproof phone, and still have a replaceable battery. Phone companies are getting greedy and lazy, forcing designed obsolescence on consumers because they have run out of ideas for actually improving phone designs. The whole 7 inch, 18:9 ratio, wafer-thin, glass front and back designs will hopefully die a quick death and we can get back to a useful 5" to 5.5" screen size.

 • It is coming to India in early August.

 • LG G7 is finally coming to India early August!

 • There have not been any problems on lg phones regarding bootloops since the g6 came out. V30, g6, v35, g7 don't have any such issues Hope this helps

 • Oh yes you are right :-) Sorry my fault or miss of knowledge.

 • B20 is the 800 MHz LTE band mostly used in Europe (from my knowledge)

 • G710EAW is correct to work in band 4 ? for latinamerica

 • Yes,i totally agree.

 • No problems in screen here..camera amazing and incredible battery life. Screen for me its perfect..deep blacks and trully whites, not yellowish like my previous s8.

 • lg say next flagship g8 model has 4K MLCD+ RGBW display over 1000 nits

 • Stop spammimg with ur bootloop comment, who know maybe ur pretending of having those devices...keep trolling with that issue. But thats no more happening since V30 and G6

 • sorry to bother you, but I was looking for someone who had this phone for a while. did you had any issues with the screen? how is the camera (normal lens)? how about the battery life? is there any way we chat in private?

 • I Still don't trust LG..used G3 got bootlooped still went for g4 same happened..then for v10 expecting that wont happen..guess what..BOOTLOOPED used to be big fan but not anymore..shit company that's all!!!

 • I have been using lg and HTC phones for years and recently I got my first Samsung phone which is the s9 plus and it has excellent battery life and if you tinker with the settings it gets even better. I can't comment on the g7 as I don't have one but I have had virtually every lg flagship since the lg g3 and I recently sold my g6 but that was a excellent phone.

 • used 3 lg flagships? u probably stopped at the g4 or the g5. they haven't had major bootloops issues since the 6.

 • i am wating this mobile

 • LG mobiles are good and show some new features every year, But the main problem is there bootloop problem, that means no durability, Camera is good but every year other flagship bring better camera setup than LG(except LG g4).if u want fast performance for long time go for HTC,LG slow down with time. I have used 3 LG flagship mobile and this was my experience

 • Does anyone know if the G710EMW version works in Canada phone carriers? Also, although the battery capacity is small, does it efficient in managing battery life? I saw comments about Samsung Galaxy S9+ has poor battery life although it's battery capacity is bigger then most smartphones. I know that bigger battery capacity doesn't mean better battery life. Please comments. Thank You

 • Totally agree, oh wait...feels fantastic until bootloop starts, and you start using an LG phone in a relatively low signal area. My LG G4 battery loses 1% every minute (since my purchase). LG makes great camera though; for instance, the G4 cam is better than the iPhone 7 cam. Marvelous display. But bootloop once and a microSD corruption the other time made me lose a lot of data; so, beware of LG software. My $0.02.

 • when have in stock in Singapore have this colour lg g7+ raspberry Rose

 • I am quite sure a software update aimed at improving the camera would help a lot but unfortunately i am not very optimisticLG will release that. Next year the Samsung phones will have wide angle camera too. If LG v40 doesn't improve hardware aswell as software their sales will go down a lot

 • Release date for India?

 • Thinq is stupid name. Better just g7 . hope for g8 no crap crap thinq

 • I totally agree with you, I've been using it for about a week now and it's a very fast snappy phone with solid battery life, the sound quailty is amazing and it's a very nice change from all the Samsung phones I've had . 10 out of 10 LG.

 • I skipped the G5 and G6, settled with the V20 for a while and now the G7 ThinQ. The front facing phone was the deciding factor; The V30 has a blueish tint and the selfie cam doesn't adjust like this one. The feel of the phone will have you calling it "sexy" by accident.

 • I dont care about HDMI, LG flagship phones have DLNA certification, I am now using miracast om my LG phone

 • This is a great phone, it has very nice features that appeal to me & the way I want to use a phone. Who cares about the notch and non-removable 3000mAH battery? This is a quality device and when you feel it in your hand it feels quality. The battery lasts good enough, way better than my previous phone. I will never change to any other brand. Yes LG can be slow in releasing updates and phones with the latest chips & bells & whistles, but it is certainly worth the wait. Every manufacturer has some issues, it depends on what you want in a phone, it doesn't help crying and complaining on forums, if you want to help get on some suggestion boards and post helpful suggestions. All in all, this is an excellent phone and I will highly recommend this to anyone working in a corporate environment because everything just works!

 • It’s not only about camera hardware or glass it’s about camera software the most important reason for a good photos and videos even V30 doesn’t has that a good camera as you think.

 • I am very happy with this phone, upgraded from G5... Of course not perfect, I want the sound buttons back on the cover like at G3 (that was the best imo) and want a removable battery like G5. I think there is nothing wrong with the colors and camera, I tried Sams S8+, I did't feel that a better phone at all...I stay with LG

 • ignored trolls

 • i hate the fact that every company now adays sealing the battery in the phone like iphone thats trouble waiting to happen ignorance period

 • I own an Lg G7 and can confirm the image quality is a disappointment. I happened to order this phone just a few days before this review was posted. So my question is, is it only because of the sensor or is it the lens? The V30 has a glass lens, the G7 a plastic lens. Can this explain the difference in image quality? The sensor is the same for both cameras, and technology for noise reduction etc should normally improve over time.

 • Bring IR blaster and removable back cover back. That is how you stay loyal to your fanbase.

 • Everybody is concern about battery. Phone companies are also concern but in different way. They sealed the battery so that we cannot change it and buy phone frequently. Now if they give you a bigger battery, you won't charge it that often and battery charging cycle will be less after 2 years. Means you would be able to use your phone over 02 years easily. That will decrease their sale. And they don't want it.

 • LG V30 proves LG can make a decent phone. Now they want premium pricing for a phone with IPS LCD, 3000mAh battery? And a freaking notch? LG (and others) need to return to reality. Seriously, who would buy this?

 • the issue is that country like India , recently implemented 4G widely and most of the people are preferred to use 4G (cause of the attractive data plans), the battery is a major issue, nobody care if companies increase a few .mm size of thickness , i personally experienced the issue with my iPhone 6s last vacation in india , my iphone battery last for 5-7 hours only even slight use in 4G. (in Dubai we have WiFi everywhere and 3G is much faster), so battery is also a major concern some countries

 • my money is ready for this phone. it got everything I want like screen mirroring, notification led etc. and have many arrays of connectivity.

 • jeezz!!! is this available in Philippines already? if yes how much is this? if to order online how much? *v*

 • Agreed. Only good phone with good battery is v30. They seriously need to do something about the battery department.

 • According to the review here it does record 60fps 4K with ois. So if it can do 60fps, why not 30?

 • OMG I cannot believe what you said which is 200% true at least someone else he's the stupid ass mistake that these retards are doing you want a phone that last long not because you have a fast charger capability that's why I haven't bought the note 8 or the S9 Plus because of the battery size and endurance when they test it LG needs bigger batteries what the heck is their problem they have the money they have this kids 4000 should be for flagships. LG. You do not want to have your customers hunting for a plug-in you need a bigger battery in your phone

 • LG is most stupid company. LG phones are very nice in features except battery. This company is failed in mobile market just because of stupid decision of small battery. Their team must see about this serious mistake they are doing from years

 • LGG7... Wide Angle Cam, Quality DAC, Headphone Jack, Great Speaker, Super bright screen option, Card, FM Radio, Waterproofing, Great Build Quality (MIL-STD-810G compliant) Bluetooth 5, Fingerprint Scanner, Wireless Charging... ticks so many boxes, great job LG.

 • Same here, this is the only reason, after my G3, i again bought LG (V20) ; highly satisfied with the product; now thinking of upgrading to V35.

 • Benefits of OLED screen...

 • 77hrs?? Yea way better than op6, good as S9..they should put 3300mah battery. Lame LG

 • Does the LG G7 offer optical image stabilization when recording 4K 30 fps videos? On some websites they say that it is not supported at all, while on others they say it is only the panorama len that doesnt support it, so it is not clear, can anyone confirm if it's there at 4K? Thank you!

 • ok 7hour better than lg g6 but lg v30 93h endurance lol

 • Lg g7 second handset, i returned the first. Bluetooth is horrible on the two phones trying to connect to my 2017 elantra. Anyone having issues

 • Review one day? What you wait for? This phone have been released so long ago but nah, you prefer to review some medicore phones..

 • Lol you need to learn from Lg v30

 • Wow, some manufacturers are doing good job with the colours... Lg g7 Moroccan Blue Huawei P20 pro Twilight Oppo find X Bordeaux Red These are very beautiful... The Oppo Find X design made me think of something crazy... A single colour glass back with RGB LESs around it that can be customized... Like the ROG gaming products; or Corsair products... That would be awesome.

 • They uploaded a 360 degree view too. I think it's ready to eat... They're just adding some sauce to it... lol

 • First of all, 3000 mAh is not bad at all. Nobody spoke about battery when LG g4 had a removable 3000 mAh battery while the S6 had a non-removable 2600 mAh battery, same thing with the LG g3 @3000 vs S5 @2800 mAh... Second of all, 3000 mAh is enough for normal usage and by normal I mean multitasking, going to class, recording voices, taking selfies, surfing the web, going to sites like gsmarena and making fun of underrated phones and judging them by the numbers... (It's perfect for you!) And you must know that g7's battery is not Lithium-ion, it's Lithium-polymer. Lithium-polymer batteries are lightweight, have an extremely low profile, and have a lower chance of suffering from leaking electrolyte. They're not as powerful as lithium-ion batteries but they have a longer lifespan. You learn...

 • Oops! I meant g4... 😐

 • When will LG learn? 3000mah battery lol.

 • Funny thing is, they uploaded a bunch of pictures that seems from the review. But idk, the review hasn't showed up until now. It's almost 2 months since they post the hands-on review. Even Xiaomi Mi 8 has been reviewed. Maybe be they already forget that this phone exists?

 • Even review on Xiaomi mi 8 is already out. I hope they don't forget about this phone, since they already made hands-on video on this. Or do they?

 • No... They will share their review soon; It's their job... But it's really a shame if this delay was because their not interested in this phone... :/

 • I really love the G7; It's unique. I'm jealous 👌👍

 • Thanks to LG for producing best devices in market in good price...... im using G4 till now... and everything just nice with my phone....

 • I totally agree with you about this. Gsmarena and other reviewers out there always complain about LG phone lacking in something and praise highly about overrated boring samsung phone. Come on samsung phones are lacking too. They just blindly do not want to admit it. See V30 and G6 review... they both are good phones but i dont think gsmarena thinks the same way as us. I personally like the G7. Shame on gsmarena if they dont review this phone. I was a samsung user..but not anymore.

 • Maybe the battery hasn't died in the standby test yet... XD

 • OnePlus 6 also... I hope there's a good reason. Every time I get excited about LG's new flagship, every reviewer (Samsung and Apple fans probably) say "It brings nothing new to the game... It's not the fastest; Mid-range battery; not the best screen; ugly skin; software problems; slow camera; etc." Lg always brings new interesting things. LG G3 with its laser focus; G4 was the first with a f/1.8 lens and the leather body was so great; I'm commenting this using my LG G5... The first flagship with a wide-angle lens camera; and more and more and more... That V30 is a beast; best phone for video recording... And now G7 with Boombox... Come on... Lg phones are Truly amazing AND underrated... I don't expect GSMARENA to change that.

 • What is the average battery life, do you know? Thanks for the reply btw :)

 • what about camera in thos phone? I can't find it here

 • Where is the review??????

 • Will GSM Arena review this phone? Or GSM Arena does not bother at all with this phone??? Why are phones that came out later got reviewed first??

 • Got it yesterday.... you won't be disappointed, I guarantee you!

 • Totally agree that there is pretty much nothing you can want in a phone that this baby doesn't have. And yes it IS available in Wireless charging outside the US, I live in South Africa and I got the wireless charger as well as the bluetooth headset (AMAZING!!!) and an SD card as a give-away on an upgrade with MTN network. It does help that Sibu, the gentleman marketing the product, was super switched on and incredibly helpful. Bottom line: Brilliant package!

 • Only 1, the battery life is horrible and does not justify the price. I saw a battery phone test comparison between G7, iPX, P20, Pixel 2 XL, OP6, and S9+ G7 died first while the other phones maintain 25-35% battery. Not good at all considering the price and the phone size.

 • yes, I am waiting. It seems GSM Arena does not intend to review it at all.. I got mad when U12+ which came out later got reviewed before this.

 • Still waiting for the full review...

 • Not true. The V30 changed that for LG (international wireless charging and hi-fi DAC) and the G7 continues that new trend.

 • Nope. Get it. It won't be a game changer for LG but that doesn't mean it isn't a great phone. The V30S and V35 may be way overpriced but the V30 at least is a fantastic phone that I've greatly enjoyed, and the G7 mostly improves on it in every way (except for battery life).

 • Mine has Wireless Charging and it's free from special package bundle. I'm from Indonesia. This phone is damn good.

 • Actually, it's not. I live in southeast Asia and mine has wireless charger as well. I even got wireless charger as pre order giveaway

 • If anyone can give me a good reason not to get this phone I will listen, but otherwise, it seems near perfect for the price, I will be getting this in August :)

 • I dont know why LG is making same mistake again.. Wireless charging is only in US Model.... After g6 i was waiting for this option..

 • Review please!

 • LG find the way

 • gsmarena pls put a full review of this phone

 • OnePlus is overhyped lol, their phones are expensive AF if you don't reside in the US. Even I live in Canada and the OP6 still costs a whopping $900. Planning to buy a refurbished LG V30 for $550 instead.

 • Saw it in store. Not impressed. My V30 is the last phone i"ll spend so called flagship money on. Mid range devices and those from Xiaomi, One+ and others under $500 as competent in day to day use as the $1000 flagships. You basically spend money on gimic tech you rarely if ever use. Case in point, Apple's "force touch".

 • No missing piece. 3mm jack and fm radio are still there. Thanks LG. I just need the review on the battery.

 • Seems that they still like to screw customers with those 3000mha battery în combination with huge screen

 • UK user here. Did anyone else needed to restart the phone after choosing automatically a network for the network being able to connect to 4G? I noticed that when initially setting up the phone, it needs to be restarted after choosing a network. Otherwise, it will always connect to H+ instead of 4G when mobile data is enabled.

 • amateur phone , medium display , medium battey , medium camera , just imagine that LG is using midrage camera sensors since G6 , the camera sensors of G7 and V30 are same as 150$ htc u play , i don't mention that quality of taken photos are the same , but why ... ?! bring better batteries is more important than Quad DAC ...!

 • A return to form for LG after a few years of not getting it right with the G series. Exceptional screen, quality cameras and slim/narrow/light. I am really enjoying using it. NB the UK model also has wireless charging and the boombox speaker (when you lie the phone on a hard surface) is very clever and the best sound I have heard from any mobile phone

 • hi what about full review?

 • The phone is good to hold and use. Don't feel laggy, Colour looks vibrant. Just the battery was a let down.

 • Full review please gsmarena ;)

 • where is the full review? :( need to compare those photo samples :D

 • Full review pls

 • In india not released

 • Yeah I've been dropped my LG about 7 or 10 times.. And it didn't cracked

 • could not agree more. his is a case of "i wanna blame somebody for being a *******.

 • Totally agree about the rear power and vol., much better than the side buttons

 • in my country lg g7 64 gb , the price is 610eur ,cheaper than samsung galaxy s9 it cost 650eur ,s9 plus 740 eur

 • Is it worth it? So many smartphones launching one after another. The previous generation aren't bad either. I've been Eyeing the V30 for a while purely for the dac, wide angle lens and superb video quality. Is the G7 worth it, or do OP6, Mi8 is more worth it to buy? Any thoughts to share?

 • I agree with you about the power button placement. Ive been a fan of lg for many years due to the power button in the back and double tab the screen feature. the side power button is not ideal!!! very easy to hit it by accident. Back power button is more ideal.

 • Hi, I bought LG G7 from my local mobile provider on one year contract and returned it for Samsung Galaxy S9+. The main problem is earpieace. It is not in the CENTER. Every time when I was making calls I have to move it which is so annoying. I don't know what LG is thinking but it is wrong design choice. Maybe next year LG G8 will come with something better. Peace.

 • Does this phone have a wired tv out option.

 • Full review pls ! :D

 • I couldn't agree more and it amazes me that people buy expensive smartphones and they simply don't use a case. As soon as I take a new phone out of the box I put a tempered glass screen protector on it and also a case and the more expensive case the better.

 • You're the one who was careless and dropped it not them. Get some decent protection for your phone.

 • Just got this phone as a buy one get one free with t-mobile in the USA. Great phone in replacement of my S7 Edge. I highly recommend it and the camera is phenomenal. The extra bright screen option is amazing in super bright sun outside.

 • I nipped into a 02 store today and I looked at a g7 and I admit it's a very nice phone with a excellent bright screen and a really nice build quality and I thought it felt solid and well built and compared to my g6 I have it's absolutely better for sure and anyone with a g6 should definitely upgrade. I put my htc u11 plus next to the g7 and the g7's screen is slightly taller and obviously definitely brighter than my U11's screen but my U11 certainly still looked up to date next to the newer g7. I think the g7 is a good buy to be fair :)

 • Whenever I am thinking to change LG to other brand, I will always have second thoughts because if its QSLIDE APPS and KNOCK screen appps.

 • allthe phones a v good but like incruesin infra function and 2sim with memory card thats batter

 • go buy g7 , g7 has 7h and 30min SOT PA info

 • Alright... Lemme get a disclaimer though first: I haven't tried the phone, so this is based on many reviews and comments I've searched through. With that outta the way, here's my opinion: The LG G7 won't be my next phone. LG's done whatever they had done for like years, but to me, the LG G7 feels like they are playing safe with this guy. The design looks like the front was made by an apple copycat designer and the back looks like the designer stopped midway and copied from Samsung instead. You can take this opinion with salt if you want, but that's how I feel. Speaking of design, one of my main deal breakers has to be the slight curves at each end, in fact that was the reason I opted to go for the G6 instead of the better V30. I just don't like the curved front. The next deal breaker has to be the notch... Or rather how it is done. I know you can "disable" it in the settings, but what really messes me up is that slightly off center earpiece. I've had a phone with a slightly off earpiece and that was a nightmare to call with. To be honest the notch isn't the one bothering me, it's the earpiece placement. The last deal breaker has to be the freaking additional power button on one side and Google assistant button on the other. For the Google assistant button it's basically Bixby but Google. Not remappable.. Correct me if I'm wrong. The power button though, that I absolutely hate. I know many people will love this button, but I find it tedious. I've used a Q6 that had the power button on the side, and you wouldn't believe how many goddamn times I've pressed the power button by accident. I much prefer the power button at the back, and that one alone... Again, correct me if I'm wrong about this and you can disable the additional power button as well. Now with all that out, I feel so sad that these had to be the reasons that I'll be staying with the G6. The G7 has probable better battery life, more recent Android version, greatly improved front camera (about time), a less confusing model changes that tells you whether you get a dac or wireless charging because I'm pretty sure the G7 comes with both. I much prefer an LCD display over an OLED, since I don't have to worry about those damn burn-in. Notification LEDs are also a thing I think and that is awesome. I'm also a minority of people who still really appreciate the inclusion of radio. Even that boom box feature *sounds* cool. But back to my point, the G7 really is a solid successor to the G6, but due to some big reasons of personal preference, I dare not upgrade from what I have now... Sadly.

 • Stop trolling! LG device are extremely durable. My G6 still clean after maybe 3 drops, might be the same with G7 cause the two are military approved.

 • Can the G7 save videos in Log format?

 • Lol troll or what? Are you trying to make joke on Lg mil std 810g compliant?

 • it's your fault,, why do not you keep your phone better, why did not you protect your phone?

 • G7 is a fragile as you would expect of a glass phone. 2 days in, slipped off my lap while sitting and fell maybe 20" to the ground. Cracked screen at the corner now. LG didn't care. Told them it was unacceptable to have a $700+ piece of tech that they expect people to carry day in and day out, advertised as gorilla-this and military-that, and it crack after a slo-mo 20" fall. Thought they might want to stand behind the build quality and strength of their product, but no.

 • I Wait on Review and battery life endurance pls gsmarena.

 • Op6 battery is so poor. Hope g7 managed to beat op6. S0 far v30 still the king with 3300mah battery

 • When's the review coming out? OP6 came out later.....Need LG G7 review....

 • Is anyone encounter loose headphone jack issue??

 • i really like note's s pen that is the reason i keep using note, but now im torn between LG G7, note 8(and maybe note 9 if its not too expensive). im not a gamer (i only have 1 or 2 games) but i surf the internet a lot on myphone, i use it for my work too (editing documents etc)

 • Ok, very interested in this device. But... Hot to see this phone as serious flagship, when it has same camera sensor like HTC u11 life... Anyone buy G7 last day's? Camera quality?

 • I moved from S7E to LG G7. However, I noticed that when mobile data is switched on, H+ usage is always on, instead of 4G. On the Samsung before, it always switched to 4G. Any idea whether this is normal? I am talking about accessing mobile data from the same location on both devices (at home). Here on this site most devices show different bands at the 4G section (including my S7E), the G7 only shows LTE. Maybe that has something to do with it - perhaps lower 4G coverage than other devices? I would really appreciate it if you can help me. Thank you.

 • well actually if u using a g6 canada version u may have DAC with it but since there are also version from eu some others without wireless charger and DAC so in generally g7 is having a better soung than g6

 • I have had the last 10 lg phones and would like to continue owning them but they seem to keep deleting some of the basic features i like on a cell phone like ir blaster is extremely useful and should bring it back and also not a fan of glass phones just doesnt make sense to have something with you 24/7 and be that fragile so the g7 for me is just a standby choice, lg needs to keep the basic features available at least by optional choice or downloadable software apps

 • Curently,hm, LG G6 sound better than S7 by any means... but you could and should consider MI8 SE , Snapdragon 710 that is better performer than G6's 820, and AI camera capable, also with some more extra features for about 280$, personally i think that is best choice now. Ofc if you aren't sceptic about Xiaomi.

 • $330 will get you mid-range phones like motorola G or E series using SD600 series which are really good for battery life but less so for performance compared to the SD800 series. If you want a OnePlus, you should just spring for 6 now as it is really good, but you will be dropping at a minimum $530 instead of waiting for another iteration 6 months down the line. You will need to spend at least that much if you want high end internal specs.

 • Hi Guys, I would like to get some opinions, I'm thinking about getting a new phone (Currently have honor 5x) AND I just want to do a little upgrade( I'm waiting for Oneplus 6t and Huawei latest Mate this year) and I want to invest no more than $330 , I've only got two options so far , s7 edge($285) and Lg g6($310) , which one do you guys think I should get? and could u please tell me more options beside these phones

 • Just got the phone and it's amazing! 1 question, though: When I go to Settings, how do I remove the Notification icon (the Bell-shaped orange notification icon at the top right cornet)? There are things there, which don't disappear as notifications even after they are clicked on and viewed. Thank you and appreciated.

 • You can't compare g7 and n8. They are so much different. N8 is better in some features, G7 in others. Tell me what is your primary use of phone, and key features, so I can help you.

 • Whats B20? I know only Bombrad plane from WWII

 • my choice is lg g7

 • I previously owned an Asus Zenfone 2 for 2 years and now a Zenfone 3 Zoom and iPhone7. I was choosing between the G6 and Zenfone 3 Zoom but budget wise, opted for the Z3Zoom instead for it's 5000mAh battery. The huge battery capacity is definitely a plus when I started choosing phones. Now I'm planning to buy LG7. Other options are the V20/30/G6, Samsung S8 or A8+, Huawei P20/P20 Pro and Asus Zenfone Max Pro. But I'm really interested in the G7. (I'm open to suggestions.) Here's why I'm considering G7: - Water resistant -Expandable storage -Wide angle Camera, also has portrait mode -Dual Sim (although it's hybrid) -Android O out of the box I'm no tech expert but from what I've been reading the G7's chipset is more efficient therefore has lower power consumption. But the phone still could have had larger battery capacity in my opinion. Any one out there actually bought and using this phone? I'd like to hear your opinion on it's performance.

 • Why is there only black out at the moment? In the uk

 • Bigger battery and improved front camera should be added.

 • Lg7 has 7h and 32min SOT. checked

 • It´s already out.

 • Lg V35 thinq is better

 • Too big, can't they keep it bellow frickin 150mm, who in the hell needs 6" plus screens..

 • good features, but also makes too many compromises. small battery, lcd screen. Im waiting for the s10

 • LG G7 is not out yet :-) and Note 8 has Snapdragon 835 only, so G7 is better, but probably won't be cheap.

 • No B20 in it, and you have to pay taxes as well.

 • Lg g7 or note 8 which is best plz help

 • 680 EUR for 64 or 128?

 • Compared to xiaomi flagship Mi 8 this one is a joke for 700 eur.

 • 680eur ? Wau nice!!!

 • Im using G5. I don't praise any brand. Im meaning, both of features can be combined. Its very simple

 • Because P20 have no 3.5 mm jack, no radio, no military grade shock resistance, no qhd screen with low ppi screen and it is not LG.

 • Really terrible, they say the new screen consumes 30% less power, still its a big screen with AI features. they should have used the battery of the G6 instead.

 • what's it got to do with it? You are really funny. P20 has ir remote also and waterproofing

 • 3,000 mAh? Terrible. Phone could have been perfect if it's not for this.

 • because it's waterproof

 • Why there is no ir remote?

 • then i guess wont be buying any recent phone as almost nobody has battery u can replace urself today.

 • The days of the removable battery with the recent phones are long gone but I admit having the ability to remove the battery was very good indeed but having a water resistant phone is a major advantage in every day life I think.

 • good luck with that

 • Non-removable battery = not buying.

 • I would like to see a usb computer dock with audio and video capabilities and even movie playback, features are awesome but battery needs upgrade or detacable.

 • After having galaxy s line from 1-7 edge. I will buy lg g7 over s9. 128 Gb internal vs 64 gb on s9 in the usa is no brainer. Samsung is way overrated to many times I had issue with them glitching display on s5 and s7. Meanwhile my s6 DOL happened. It over me being Samsunged again!!

 • It is a high-end SOC and Qualcomm's biggest "powerhouse" in combination with a 6.1" screen alongside a lot a features. It is hardly enough for a poweruser, unless the screen is extremely efficient. They can't do magic, even with increased efficiency.

 • I Wait on review LG G7! and Battery life Endurance LG need 80h.

 • I have seen some reviews of the phone and i'm blown away by how louder the phone speaker is , even louder than phones with stereo speakers. I was going for the v30 but now I will wait for the g7. any thoughts guys?

 • I've seen some people complaining about the battery life however also consider newer SOC processor designs are more efficient ad use a lower power consumption. The newer design is more up to date however I would be interested in whether it supports Wi-Fi calling like some of the competition from Samsung and Apple Currently I use the LG G6 which is is good although having a bit more internal storage would be good and RAM would be make it more usable. To be fair there is no slow down unless it's a battery hungry game which seems to be a constant sentiment. With LG also producing ThinQ screens on their newer TV's I can see this new colour system being used for a while. Also think it has a brighter display however although wouldn't it been better to go for OLED in this case? AI on the camera is welcome however I miss the laser-focus from the G4 which IMHO also produced excellent photographs in good lighting conditions. OIS is also a time saver. Given the opportunity I would buy this straight out and use the G6 as my back-up phone. I like the interface on LG compared to others. Samsung has improved however I also felt there is too much pre-installed software. I'm not too sure about the software notch however the separate power button on the side is a welcome addition. My initial impression is for first time LG smartphone users coming from other brands shouldn't be disappointed.

 • Waiting fot it's release in PAK...

 • Agreed; I'd love to see LG do well with the G7 over here (UK) given that it ticks most of the boxes for me and what I'm going to use it for, my worry is that it'll be relegated to what's in the back rather than being displayed outright (based on a recent visit to a local CW where the V30 -both silver and blue- were in the back and the guy told me it was because LG were weird about having their V models being displayed out, but YMMV depending on where you go I suppose haha) Alternatives that pop up into my mind when I do look at the G7 however are the XZ2 Compact and Oneplus 6 if we're talking at this price range (+ HTC U11 direct from their website rather than CW because, for some bizarre reason, the price there is £700 compared to £450-500 from the site itself lol) and also the V30 itself; can anyone else think of any other alternatives or competitors to the LG G7 that I've missed off?

 • Carphone warehouse have the phone up for pre order at £600 which I think is a really good competitive price and obviously way cheaper than a s9 plus. I hope it sells well in the UK because lg deserves a break I think.

 • Big Battery problem

 • 3 major fails: 1. Having a person like you 2. Having like you as a person 3. Gigantic person who do not have likes at all.

 • V30 has useful size n the same with g7. How the hell can it fit inside your pants pocket if its too long? Note 8 n s9 plus n s8 plus are too long!!!! Stop being a little b**ch picking out 1 thing u dont like n disregard all the good things. Yall so ignorant.

 • The phone didnt get any bigger, they just reduced the bizel so you get more screen for the same sized phone. If you dont want a big screen buy a flipphone

 • nope , lg v10 is first phone with notch or second display

 • ...the notch is a matter of taste....everybody love bezel less phones and higher screen ratios (90% or more)...so the only way to put camera and sensors on top is in the middle of the screen...there is no other way.....besides Apple was not the first company with notched phones (only make them famous regardless you hate it or love it)......

 • You have to read & learn before posting: LG G7: 153.2 x 71.9 x 7.9 mm (6.03 x 2.83 x 0.31 in) LG G6: 148.9 x 71.9 x 7.9 mm (5.86 x 2.83 x 0.31 in) The LG G7 is less than half inch taller and only 1 gram heavier. The SD435 consumes 40%-45% less energy than SD820/SD821 processors so the enginners can decrease the capacity "ONLY 10%" and get same SOT times than previous models.... ...opinions are not FACT unless you read and learn....

 • 3 major fails: 1. Notch! 2. Battery capacity same as G2 ! (year 2013) 3. Gigantic phone! What is the buzz with gigantic phones, recently?! Can we have a reasonable size phone (i.e. G6) If for some reason I want a tablet, I will buy a tablet!

 • Realy hate that notch. I love v10 design more to Lg phone. Customise top and lid bottom cover!

 • notch = fail

 • ...there is a feature called "Always on Display"...you can see all notifications without turning on the cellphone...can you tell the difference between RGBW LCD (with 1,000 nits of brightness) vs an AMOLED screen??? the IR blaster is usefull is you live with kids in your house...for me this cellphone is good option in 2018!!!!!!

 • ...can you name a smartphone with 1,000 nits of brightness??? con you tell the difference between LCD and AMOLED screens ??? Do you know SD845 consumes 30% less than SD835 ???? not all opinions are facts....unless you read and learn!!!!!!

 • Headphone Jack, Quality DAC, Great Speaker, SD Card, Waterproof, Wide Angle Cam... Ticks a lot of boxes, well done LG, looks great.

 • Yes, iphone x's top is the only reason i was disgusted by the phone when i saw it but the sad part is now android is copying it too like on the G7

 • now i use g6 and im quite satisfied..plan to change with g7 if its available in my country...

 • I agree... LG still fails without an Oled display, they removed the IR that once had and on LG G2 I at least had an RGB led that was glowing when some shit happened. I mean... LG, Why the hell would anyone put an always on display on a phone that has to open its entire screen to display something ? Just to copy Samsing ? Helllooooo.... THEY HAVE OLED. Lightning up some led on that display drains no battery ! However, we have Radio... great feature. Is anybody still listening to radio broadcasts ? Remove that and put back my beloved RGB led or the IR to control devices....

 • No ir blaster, no Oled display, poor battery its just a dissappointment.

 • Lg smartphone ceo is changed so everything is different than before...which is good. Lg phone durability is still very question able...

 • While I've read a couple of comments which have been discouraging but I have to say LG has taken a right approach here. Put their focus on an improved sound quality. And the boom box is way better than most stereo sound you'll see anywhere. LG picture quality from their cameras has always been top notch and an IPS LCD display with HDR10 is still my pick. The 3000mAh battery must have been to create that hollow space for the boom sound which other features have been optimized to consume way less battery power. Why put in a large battery when you already have a screen and processor that's expected to be 30 - 45% more energy saving than previous model which allows LG to be creative else where.

 • Don't just look at numbers. Look at what's inside the phone. This phone is more efficient than your g6. Optimisation is also critical to battery life and this phone has the best hardware and software available on the market at this time. Your only concern should be whether to adopt ios or remain with android.

 • Another crappy notch, again! Why they all follow the worst fashions?

 • Yes

 • Battery life: S9 7h:23min. G7 7:20min. Test in phone.arena, but V30 9h:34min. And G6 low 6h:9min

 • Does the G7 still have a notification LED?

 • You have to read more before taking that decision: Battery life according to www.gsmarena.com: Iphone 8 (Endurance rating 66h) Iphone X (Endurance rating 74h) Iphone 7 Plus (Endurance rating 75h) -- LG V30 (Endurance rating 93h) LG G6 (Endurance rating 72h) The Iphone X is less than 10% more efficient than LG G6. So going to Apple is not the best way to get full day smartphones.

 • Sorry LG. Moving to Apple. You are doing a great job, making the hardware top notch, but this time I'm way to worried about the battery life. My G6 isn't making trough a whole day even with 3300mAh... and now you put in 3000mAh.... :/ Had 4 LG's in a row now: LG optimus black, LG optimus G pro, LG G4 (Yep... bootloop hit me too.), LG G6.

 • Well, I guess it goes without saying that the notch is here to stay, at least for now. I would say within the next 2-4 years we will start to see manufacturers roll out phones with full screen displays. It's just a matter or hiding all of the sensors beneath the screen, and still ensuring functionality isn't compromised.

 • My LG G5 has had the best phone camera I have seen so far. The only issue with LG Support. When GPS became faulty they accused me having phone rooted (I deliberately didn't root it for a case like this!) and didn't fix it. No matter where I wrote including CEO they ignored me. I had to go back to O2 and push on them to repair it. I will never buy from LG itself for that reason.

 • The battery as good as S9 about 7hrs ...good for 3000mah and 6.1 inch brighter screen...Lg should put a 3500mah battery on g7 so it will excellent as v30

 • ...second issue...the bootloop problems on some LG phones (models G3/G4/G5/V10/V20)...that problem only affected less than 1% - 2% of the whole LG production in 4 years...so if I'll use that cheap excuse for not buying an LG phone I can use the same excuse not buying a Samsung smartphone...it seems a lot of "experts" forgets about the explosive Note 7 battery issues ..a lot of people got severe skin burns 2 years ago.....collective amnesia??

 • ...I owned both for 2 years and I got no problems with the screen...right now I'm using the LG V20 and still in 2018 is a good choice if you want powerful & affordable phone (less than $370)...A lot of people ("experts") keep posting complaints about LG and doesn't know the basics about actual mobile technologies and keep talking BS....the first one is the relationship between the screen size and battery capacity...its not that simple folks....the SD845 consumes 30% less power than SD835 and at least 40%-45% than SD820/SD821 processors so the engineers can reduce in 10% the battery capacity than previous models and keep good SOT numbers...but it seems a lot of people can't learn this.......

 • This phone have led notification light?

 • what part is copying the x? the notch maybe? they might be but for people like myself who find the notch to be ugly at least they give the option remove it, or from what they first announced. i know its not the front to back glass because the g6 had that before the iphone. and I personally hone they font and facerig or as iphone calls it the animoji. everybody copys off someone else. how about iphone "copying" LG Optimus 3D and HTC Evo 3D. But thats all im saying on this matter.

 • Samsung Galaxy s8 also Screen ghosting and burn in

 • Wireless charging ony in US? Discrimination everywhere. Thanks, LG, but no thanks. (Ironicaly, I would have bought it if it didn't have wireless charging in US or everywhere else).

 • Both ny lg g5 and v20 had severe screen ghosting issues. I hope lg gets this lcd right this time.

 • Why is China market always getting the better version?

 • Another iphone x copy I'm surprised Samsung didn't do the same with their S9 which is an S8 clone but maybe they're saving it for S10

 • ips is the best display ever. I don`t like these stupid oled, pled and itc. There is no white color at all , it`s looks like blue-yellow-green crap.

 • When I first saw the hands on reviews of the g7 I thought it was a flop but the more videos I have seen and read reviews on the net and its grown on me and it could be a good all rounder and clove list the price as £630 which to be fair is a good one. I think I might just sell my g6 and get a g7 when it's available but I doubt it would replace my htc u11 plus as my daily driver but either way I think the g7 Could be ok even though I admit the uk version isn't the best specs wise what with it having only 4gb of ram and 64gb of storage.

 • Try A9 pro 2016

 • Well said. Same thing happened to my LG G3.

 • I charge my Samsung A9 pro once every 48 to 60 hours. Only Samsung rocks.

 • P20 pro is another crap that does not have a memory card slot. Yuck.

 • Then ditch lg, sony, xiaomi etc and buy Samsung A9 pro 2016 or S8+

 • LG is stubborn at just 3 Ampere battery since G3 and worst class IPS LCD display. It is digging its own grave.

 • Stop posting senseless. I am using Samsung Note 2 N7100 since September 2013 Samsung Note 4 SM-910G since May 2016 Samsung A9 pro 2016 since December 2017.

 • samsung is king with burn in amoled display

 • Nfc with FM transmitter. A fully packed phone. Way better than what U pay for Samsung's S9

 • Yes OLED screens have a screen burn-in problem, same like the ghost screen problem on the LCD screens

 • on test lg g7 has 143 % DCI-P3

 • why people want screen burn-in and shadowing OLED display technology? IPS is already good for everybody. look at that screen, it gives 100% DCI-P3 and Dolby Vision!

 • You mean massive screen burn-in like all the Samsungs I see?

 • Hope the price is right, likes its spec

 • I still think that Lg is doing grate job on IPS displays, it looks good, and I think its fantastic smartphone, the only disadvantage is that it isn't sold in Baltic states

 • I want Oled and ir port.

 • When you buy high end phones from LG, then it us just buying premium LG television. Worth everythng!

 • Battery is good. not poor . On battery test pre production lg g7 has 9h SOT

 • from what I've read, P-Oled display will only be available on the V series, G series will remain on Mil-LCD...you don't seem to read much

 • I'm really confused... LED shows pictures LCD shows pictures too You guys ignore HDR10, 1000nits, 564ppi density, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, Dolby Vision, Always-on display, etc. and you ask for OLED... :/ There's not much difference between Samsung and LG screens... well, today LG's flagship is brighter... Don't judge a book by its cover...

 • All competitors of Lg are using OLED. Lg continues with dinosaur technology.

 • For a long time? 5-6 months? What is your notion of time? Is it flying too fast? I like that you say that G7 has a poor battery....it appears you've tested it already. Why don't you give us your full review and your general opinion concerning this device compared to others...especially P20 pro which is best suited for you...but make sure you don't go scuba diving as that device is only IP67....

 • look elsewhere....this question it's been answered way too many times on several LG devices already..

 • from what I've read, P-Oled display will only be available on the V series, G series will remain on Mil-LCD

 • wish if it comes with ir balster

 • Battery is good. not poor . On battery test pre production lg g7 has 9h SOT

 • a top notch that was nearly thick as the bottom bezel? another notch hype phone.

 • Of all the smartphones out now.... I think the G7 is the best all around great performing best value device.... and I mean this wholeheartedly. Here comes the 'back stab'..... would I buy it ? Highly doubtful. But I wouldn't buy any other manufacturer's phone either. At least, not at this time. (*mumbles* - Please don't screw up the V40 like you did the V30 !) LG, you're the best ! ! Just being honest.

 • Why there is no ir blaster and oled?

 • I've been waiting for this phone for a long time. My idea has changed because of LCD display and poor battery, by the way no ir port. I think p20 pro is better for me. Or maybe i wait more time for v40

 • The display is an LCD, so no burning in issues whatsoever (is that what is meant by ghosting?) and beside that IPS LCD has come a long way the last few years, for normal use you wont notice a difference between an Amoled or this LCD.. only when you put them side by side you will see subtle differences, like amoled can be more saturated and the blacks are really black.. And that bootloop issue has been resolved. So I would not worry too much about it, it will be just fine, like with every other major manufcturer. People complain about customer service of LG, but they are asking the wrong desk, they should ask the store where they bought the device. I have my Nexus 5x (also built by LG) brought back to the (online web)store for warranty repairs two times now (indeed once for the notorious bootloop and a second time for a broken battery).. back in within 2 weeks, no questions asked, nothing to be paid. If you did not buy from a store, just go to one where they sell LG products and they are (should be) happy to help you.

 • 19,5:9??? Are they trying to do a kind of a phallic symbol or what?? Useless

 • Well I am so amazed by this phone and the fact that the camera is a wide angle and not AGAIN a portrait or a bw make me want it even more but after hearing all these about bootlooping and ghostscreens and bad customer service and that LG refuses to take responsibility for their defective devices I don't know ... Samsung seems like a safe choice but no dual camera set up on the S8 (that I was thinking to buy ) and the software remains the same like from android 6.0 to 8.0 and Huawei seems like a good idea but the selfie cameras are like you are a cartoon so that's what makes me a little more sceptical ... any advices ?

 • Battery is good. On battery test pre production lg g7 has 9h SOT

 • they already explained this. it was to give an edge to the V series.

 • They want the phone to have a peak brightness up to 1000 nits. I believe this is one of the reason why they did not adopt an OLED display.

 • LG chose to offer an HDR display as their unique selling point. OLED displays can't yet get bright enough for HDR certification, though they offer high dynamic range at the other end with their blacker blacks. High quality audio continues to be an LG strength. Not only does the G7 have a headphone jack, it has a 24/192 capable DAC. And the software features DTS-X support, though it's only useful through headphones; surprisingly, it only has one speaker so it can't even deliver stereo that way. T-Mobile customers will be happy to know that the G7 supports Band 71. LG's V30 was the first Band 71-capable phone; others include the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active and Galaxy S9, and LG's brand new K30 budget model. More Band 71 phones are likely to appear this year, but those are the only ones announced so far.

 • OLED display is the best always. Lg g7 is a big dissappointment for me about this and battery life.

 • Tomsguide posted a review today. Battery life slightly better than the G6, which has a 3300mAh battery, but still under par compared to the competition. about 9 hours web browsing time For me it will be good enough, I charge my phone every night anyways.

 • I just dont understand why the Lg G7 thinq doesn't have an OLED display, maybe becuase some people complain about a blue shift when you tilt the screen? Maybe because the phone would be too expensive if it did have an OLED display? I don't know, because my v30 has an OLED screen, and I haven't had any problems with this blue shift people talk about.

 • Thank You. V10 owner here.

 • Actually, SD845 provides more features than Kirin 970 (it's planned for use in platforms other than smartphone). AI is not hardware thing, only software. Hardware can accelerate the processing speed, but result quality (i.e. correctness) depends on training data, which is software. Yes, Kirin 970 is faster in that regard, though, due to NPU being standalone instead of integrated into DSP.

 • It has FM Radio, which the Samsung's have dropped. Yes, you can get internet radio, but it is never reliable. I only wish manufacturers would have put DAB radio rather then pointless features such as 'notches' (I think LG did put a DAB radio in one of their models).

 • 3000mAh, really ? Looks very good as smartphone but the battery isn't small for so many features (big screen, lots of ram, browse etc) ?

 • The G6 had a 3300 mAh battery, bigger than this one, yet its battery life was nothing to write home about. Can't understand why LG can't come up with better battery life. For me, quick charge is a very poor substitute for a bigger battery.

 • Man i dont think so Kirin 970 is better than SD845. In many aspects is better. This really says SD845 is faster but Kirin supports more thhings and for AI is much better than Qualcomm could ever be,

 • P20 Pro has weaker cpu/gpu

 • Yes or maybe more. Mine X4 moto have 3000 mAh and last 3 days because screen is just 5 inch. Ths one is disaster.

 • Yeap battery should be at least 4.000mAh for 6.1"

 • Easily one of the best phones released so far Love my lgv30 and this G7 looks awesome to, good work lg

 • User of an lgv30 here and I testify to everything you just wrote Thank you lg for making some of the most versatile, best value phones on the market Absolutely love my lgv30

 • it looks like chinese phone. flagship shouldnt be like this. dissapointment.

 • Well man its small. P20 pro have 4k battery same CPU and GPU and can last like 3 days on normal usage. Samsung phone last like 2 days. In case of LG with huge screen even a brand new will last like day and half. On heavy usage maybe 4 hours no more.

 • Man dont believe to everything you read.

 • Dear LG.... You don't have just a typical headphone jack, it's an awesome Quad-DAC headphone jack. You also have a fingerprint sensor that iPhones don't have. You have a wide angle lens. Your V30 has excellent battery life compared to other flagship phones. You have flagship phones with Quad-HD screens. Your UI is much more efficient than Touchwiz could ever be. You've always kept microSD expansion. You back up your products for 2 Years. Your pricing is comparable to other flagship-tier phones ...if not more affordable. Thank You LG ! ! You're awesome !

 • I hope it has high capacity battery version, 4000mAh at least.

 • LG phones are nice but they all have one defect that's the battery which they never fix

 • Could have been a great phone with a decent 4000mAh battery but no, LG had to downsize from 3300 mAh in G6 to just 3000 mAh. Will wait and see what G8 will bring us.

 • I still prefer my g4

 • Stop trolling here. G6 never bootloop

 • 19.5 : 9 that's insane! The phone looks way too tall, 19:9 would have been good for it, for iPhone X 19.5:9 is okay cz it doesn't have a bottom bezel plus it has thick side bezels too!

 • My lg g4 and then g6 went into bootloop and neved recovered .. lg curse on your company .

 • after exploding Samsung Galaxy Note7..never again!!!!

 • Happy bootlooping folks!

 • After LG G4 bootloop, LG never again!!!

 • Phone with high spec Snapdragon 845, dual camera, 6GB RAM and its even included FM Radio and 3.5mm audio jack that other company seems to ignore. This LG phone, I respect you!

 • This phone seems perfect for me, but I'm hearing rumors that only the 4GB version is coming out in the USA? That can't be true... right? C'mon LG, I WANT to buy your phone, let me do that and don't cripple me for no reason whatsoever.

 • A quick recap of the G7, for those who haven’t yet come across the comprehensive leaks or today’s announcement: it’s a 6.1-inch phone with a notch at the top of its LCD, powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor and a comparatively mean 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The G7 has a dual-camera system, like almost everyone else, it’s IP68 rated for water and dust resistance, like most rivals, and it supports wireless charging, like many, but not all.

 • pros: bigger and better screen(IPS no burns), faster performance, slightly better camera cons: poor design like other popular china smartphones(looses originality), not a fan of curved back(ugly), no removable battery(lesser battery capacity), no re-mappable button summary: nothing new, blends to 2018 smartphones trends, hope they'll switch to what they're known for.

 • B&O Play certified???

 • Have u ever used a Sony phone? I currently have a XZ1, and come from an LG G6, which I sold because I couldn't stand the freaking speakers (XZ1 has front facing stereo speakers), also I couldn't stand having to zoom in in all my videos or have black bars on them, also in games, content is 16:9 so should be screens, and the XZ1 ticks all the boxes with excellent results, it may not be the best in one single category but it's an excellent all rounder. And that's better Than being the best at a single thing, OS, Price LG, Battery LG, Display Samsung, etc. Before the G6 I had an honor 8, and before a galaxy a5 2016

 • Come on it's 2018, that argument is dead now.

 • Me too, and SD card and big screen

 • Fm, Ir, Oled.. If i find a phone with this features. I will buy

 • no removable battery? (it's all about the money guess)

 • Lg needs to change the manager of the mobile department.

 • LG, ...despite the notch ..... that G7 is Outstanding ! ! Great Job .... but having said that.... please keep your V series distinguishable from your G series. Your the best LG. You're not perfectly flawless but you're definitely the best smartphone experience I've ever had ....considering the whole package, that is.

 • ...and whatever their produced.... IT'S STILL A BLOTCHY NOTCH!!!

 • V30 looks much better because it doesn't has a notch.

 • LG is not really after that feature. They are just focusing AI!

 • What speakers? It only has one and LG always had crappy speakers.

 • I'm an HTC fan, but Its a great looking phone with amazing speakers.. Good job LG :)

 • LG will forever be the poor man's Samsung. LG does make excellent refrigerators, washing machines, tv sets etc. When it comes to computing, smartphone stuff, Samsung has an absolute advantage. I am not a Samsung fanboy and I wish there are more credible Android competitors to take some market share off Samsung. But LG is not one of them. Neither is Sony or HTC. The Chinese phones (Xiaomi and Huawei) are more promising now.

 • Yea right, 6h SOT with wifi, right? And 6h until it completely dies. But when you're not around chargers, you need to leave at least 5-10% battery just in case. And 6h are still not even half a day (The time between you wake up and go to bed), so why in the world is 6h considered enough? OK, we get it, it's "energy efficient". Doesn't mean the battery should be reduced, because phones never provided enough autonomy in the first place. Especially when you consider degradation after a year of usage. Stop being blind fan-boys.

 • new Rgbw M+ LCD (lg g7) uses 35% less power due to the extra white pixel to illuminate the display instead of relying on the backlight to shine thru the lcd. Snapdragon 845 also uses 30% less battery compared to snapdragon 821. Because it can achieve brighter output with less power consumption. The battery life is gonna be the same as g6 ( about 6h SOT ) if not better even the battery is smaller

 • Sorry 3000 mh battery

 • Phone is good but 30000k battery is very bad

 • ok why the fat lip on the bottom? why not a uniform border around like iphone X? I looks like a midranger

 • 3k battery doesn't mean it's small, if they stick to such battery means that other components have reduced the power consumption. Of course it could suck power quickly, but unless you educate yourself about how consuming CPU and GPU is in it, you can't tell whether 3k is a small or good enough battery.

 • Excellent phone, not a fan of the notch but at least it can be sort of hidden.

 • Um what a joke flagship with screen as a phablet and only 3000 mAh battery. LG hurry close your bussiness before phone like this will ruin you.

 • Yea and for those saying cpu or screen is power-efficient...actually 3G and especially 4G drains the battery more than the cpu or the screen (In normal everyday usage).

 • stupid LG only 3000 battery...Thats the reason LG phones are not successful even being good configurations...Why company doesnt think about it...very bad decision for co.loss

 • Radio without RDS ?

 • What were(n't) they thinQing...?

 • Why it can't record 4K 60fps HDR video?

 • Low specs = huawei = xiaomi

 • LG, need to increase battery capacity. close to 4000mAh or closer to 4000mAh.

 • notch, 6.1 inch, 3000 mah. Super stupid

 • Buy a Huawei P series or Xiaomi phones. They preserve this old tech feature for years after Crapsung ditched it.

 • It's stereo. The earpiece also acts as speaker if the bottom one is blocked.

 • This phone is probably the most overrated these days

 • Is loud but not Stereo speakers that's for sure.

 • I hate to see the hand set with no IR port.

 • Nice phone top-class hardware and beautiful finish. It takes only two things to disappoint those so-called tech gurus. 1. A smartphone that doen't belong to Apple, Samsung 2. A smartphone that offers similar functionality but doesn't belong to Apple, Samsung (Those crying about 3000mAh battery on LG G7 suddenly fall in love with 3500mAh battery on Samsung Galaxy S9+ Grow up pundits.

 • It has stereo speakers. It's called "Boombox" speaker. :)

 • 6.1 inches, 91.0 cm2 but 6 inches 92.9 cm2 Why?

 • Boombox Speaker on demo test!

 • I really like LG phones and their unique specifications like wide angle camera, power button dedicated with fingerprint sensor, quad dac, modifiable system... but now i am concerned, i didnt buy yet V30 because of its selfie camera, and now G7 appeared with different problems. why i should prefer LG G7 to LG V30 (with twice price) -Notch is not a problem, you can hide it -too much buttons. i think most of us will prefer dedicated back side power button and didn't sure that i will ever use google assistant button. -it is too early to comment about battery life of G7, but LG v30 have a very good endurance rating. -display OLED or LCD it doesn't matter as long as it is enough bright and clear. -both of them have good rear camera. -i appreciate that G7 improved selfie camera. it is big plus

 • Top notch hardware. Top 'Notch' display.

 • A bit disappointed: - Battery is only Li-Po 3000 mAh - No stereo speakers

 • Does it have the notification LED light?

 • If the Librem 5 does not come out by 2020, then this will be my first non-WP since August 31, 2013.

 • Rgbw LCD uses 35% less power due to the extra white pixel to illuminate the display instead of relying on the backlight to shine thru the lcd. Snapdragon 845 also uses 30% less battery compared to snapdragon 821. Because it can achieve brighter output with less power consumption. The battery life is gonna be the same as g6( 5 , 6 h SOT ) if not better even the battery is smaller.

 • 19.5:9 is too long. 18:9 is the best.

 • oh great phone poor battery why lg. i begun to love when v30 was released last year, great phone great battery but you have failed me this time.

 • 10mm taller than my Essential Phone. This would make it impossible to use one handed... poor ergonomics with these super tall screens.

 • LG G3 battery...LOL!

 • Hate that back camera replacement. Please Lg dont follow samsung and chinese phone. Keep your style!! Led is back but there left out rear power volume button!

 • The screen is not 2K. 2K is for projectors. The screen is QHD. I also hope the battery capacity is enough.

 • Lg please change your UI it's not bad as Huawei UI and xioami UI but still, it's outdated. and for the love of god give me regular SW updates I have LG G6 its runs on Jan security patch and 7.0.

 • If you've been following our news feed, then you surely know that LG just announced its latest flagship smartphone. And you're likely familiar with the G7 ThinQ already: you know that it has a super bright display, you know that it retains the dual-camera setup, and you know that it has AI abilities to brag with. But what you probably don't know is that the LG G7 ThinQ can record HDR10 videos. What is HDR10, you ask? That's short for 10-bit High Dynamics Range – a video format that can reproduce a broader range of colors, with a greater difference between the brightest whites and the darkest blacks that can be shown. It is designed with more realistic video reproduction in mind. HDR10 video is also available via services like Netflix and can be enjoyed on an HDR10-capable device, such as a compatible TV or smartphone. But let's go back to the LG G7 ThinQ: how do you take HDR10 videos with it? Well, the option is not immediately obvious, but can be found in the settings menu when manual video mode is enabled. The HDR10 video toggle is disabled by default, most likely because the recording may cause compatibility issues – when accessed by certain apps that don't support it, for example, or when played back on an incompatible device. Video can be shot at up to 4K resolution, as long as you don't mind the fact that it occupies almost 400MB per minute of footage. For the record, the LG G7 ThinQ is not the first phone capable of recording HDR10 video. Earlier this year, the Sony Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact launched with the very same feature on board.

 • You can also use the wide-angle camera in Super Bright mode, and the AI Camera mode too. Getting back to video, the G7 tops out at 30fps in 4K, but you can record video in HDR. There's also a nifty 'Cine Video' mode which applies some Hollywood-style filters to make your footage look more cinematic. Whichever mode you choose, stabilisation is available not just at 1080p but also 4K. Portrait mode is another key feature, as people expect their new phone to be able to blur out the background for a nice DLSR-style effect. The G7 keeps the same field of view as when shooting with the main camera, unlike most phones which use the zoom in and have a much narrower view. Slo-mo is unimpressive for a 2018 flagship as the G7 can record 240fps at 720p. We'd have expected this to be 1080p, and the option to record in short bursts at 960fps. Before we talk about quality, remember that we took photos using pre-production software. Although the cameras - which use Sony IMX351 sensors - are final, software is largely responsible for the ultimate quality and LG made it clear that there was still a fair amount of work to do. For example, although the Super Bright mode produced some impressive looking shots, others were disappointing, so we'll have to wait until we get the final software before we know whether it's truly any good. They're fairly low resolution of course - 4Mp - and when you zoom in certain areas look like an oil painting with very little detail. The brightness is remarkable, though, as both photos below were taken when there was very, very little light. The indoor scene makes it seem as if it were taken in broad daylight!

 • battery 3000mAh? LG is idiot

 • thanks, LG.. ugly disgusting notch, no stereo speakers, no amoled screen, no front or built in display fingerprint scanner, and weak battery only 3000mah(at least 3500 should be there) thanks at least for one thing, that You still didnt remove headphone jack, but thats highly not enough!!! im waiting for V40!!! all of those above i want to have in LG V40 model!!! so V40 should have bezelless(or with minimum bezels) 2k super amoled screen with built in fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, 3500-4000 mAh battery , 128gb or 256gb variant model with 6gb ram, snapdragon 845 and of course keeped headphone jack.. why till now no one from all producers wasnt able to create flagship phone like that? is it really soo soo hard to create phone like that?

 • like note 8?

 • I don't like it. There is no oled screen, there is no ir blaster, poor battery. I think i will wait for V40

 • The first unofficial battery test lg g7 is 6h sot. This is pre production model

 • i really love LG but putting 3000mah in 6.1 2K screen is a nightmare

 • LG as announced that OLED screen are more consumption than previos versions. This technology reduce 30% the consumption of previos generations

 • I have a g6 and recently I bought a HTC u11 plus which is a excellent phone but I do like the g7 and I don't mind the notch at all but I really hope that in the UK we don't get the crap version with only 4 gig of ram and 64gig of storage. LG we should get the 6gig ram and 128gig storage version, stop giving the UK the crap version hey. You won't get anywhere in the UK selling us the low end model you need to sell the best one here to.

 • 3000mAh is actually pretty impressive to Li-Po battery which can last much more charging cycles. This was always problem for me I already destroyed three 3000mAh Li-po batteries with my lg g4.

 • LG G7 main camera IMX 351 aka V30! No better :(

 • another year and another failure for LG. i guess they have lots 3000mah batteries from 2012 :D

 • Another failure device by LG. 3000/mah battery & LCD display instead of LG's own OLED ?? LG's really drunk

 • Lg definitely made step forward with this device.Well done LG

 • Lg please introduce few power banks also with ithis power mechine.

 • Great!! I am very excited for this to come out.. Not because I will buy this, but because G6 will be cheaper. Then I will buy G6 instead!! I dont see any significan change or innovation here. It is just like an upgraded V30Thinq!! If they can't think of any other big selling factor then might as well simply make the battery 3500 mAh and maybe.. Sigh!!

 • I think the LG v30 thinQ is better than this *Better battery *Better screen (because is Oled of course)

 • it's a big shame that they put only 3000 mah battery which is too small for that big screen, and that seems to be the only downside on this phone

 • 3000 mah ? really? can be the worst battery in 2018

 • I don't like it. There is no Oled screen. There is no ir blaster. And only 3000 mAh battery!!

 • LCD!? Wew. Maybe LG has ran out of OLED panels for V30! ThiccQ.....

 • 5.2 inches 1440 x 2560 pixels, 16:9 ratio (~565 ppi density)

 • 3000mah with crappy LG software. No thanks

 • WTH??? Only 3,000 mAh?? for a phone this big with AI features that is almost running all the time!! Seriously LG?

 • What is the US price?

 • 3000 mah battery and 6.1" 1440p screen ? This got to be a joke.

 • 3000 mah battery for 6.1" phone is a disgrace. Not enough for modern day smartphone use.

 • like the new screen tech, but there's no way anyone can say 3000 mah is good enough for that size and Res

 • This phone fly's. Winner. But front camera should be like iphone too. Then all is yours.

 • Why OEM turn their dual camera to vertical position, only after Apple iPhone 8+?

 • lg is a joke still 3000 mah battery makes me laugh

 • This phone have led notification light?

 • galaxy s9 is actually wider than s8.. its a choice

 • Soon, beside the USB cable and headphones, a backpack will be in the box, too, so you can carry the phone with you.

 • Having a 6.1" screen and 71mm wide simultaniously is impossible. Even Galaxy s9 couldn't do it.

 • It could be the phone of the year. if there were 3500 Mah battery, oled screen and ir blaster in addition

 • Because it doesn't use as much power as the previous LG phones

 • Battery only 3000mAh? Why too small?

 • 636? am I lost somehow? LAWL.

 • Damn, LG beat Apple at making screen with that resolution. Yes, I hoped that Apple would make a 19.5:9 QHD+ display since they invented that ratio

 • qualcom 636 !!! why?

 • From the LG press release of a few days ago: "LG says the 6.1-inch G7 ThinQ will have "the brightest and most vibrant" screen of any smartphone when it releases, thanks to its Super Bright Display technology. Although LG hasn't specified precisely how Super Bright Display works, the company says the effect will be remarkable. The G7 ThinQ will reportedly be able to hit a peak full-screen brightness of 1,000 nits, which will allow users to operate the phone "in almost any lighting condition," according to a press release." I dont care if its AMOLED, POLED or IPS..as long as it is better than any phone out there.. I am hooked!.. Dont be prejudice about this, just because its not AMOLED, LG makes its own displays, so who knows what they come up with... The fact they already leaked themselves days before the official event about this also says something.. it MUST be good... tomorrow is the day.

 • LCD screen, yes, but with a twist.. its not a LCD screen of let say 2015 or so, it has some smart new technologies in it which makes it less power hungry but super bright with 1000 nits.. it has HDR10 certification, so that only should make you guys think twice.. This was indeed not possible with LCD's of 2017, so I I think it will be awesome. I wait for a phone like this because i will use it in a very bright sunny environment of a glider cockpit as a navigation tool. 3000 amps only is indeed an issue, but if the claim is true that the display uses 30% less power, together with the SD 845 which is also less power hungry then its pre decessor, it might come out just fine. anxiously waiting for the reviews!

 • I would buy the phone if there was a minimised trimmed down version of Android installed, a bigger battery and AMOLED. I don’t see the point why LG went back to LCD. LG is a brand that tries to be good at so many things instead ends up being great at none...

 • My LG G6 (the current flagship) is still running Android 7.0, not even 7.1 :) Good luck LG. Probably the battery will be bad on the G7 just like it was on the G6 and the G5. I wouldn't own another LG smartphone even if they give it to me for free

 • I agree. I kept my V20 for the ability to change out the battery. My fear is that the V20 will be the last phone I ever own and I'll be relegated to buying used and rebuilds.

 • Isn't "3KmAh" equal to... 3Ah !? :D

 • It held up well with the G6, so lets see. I hope it drops half price like g6 as well. Who else is getting a skin?

 • Am music lover and I do want this phone.. but, 3KmAh battery..!!!

 • I sincerely hope the G8 will come with 3 gold notches.

 • Im not so sceptical, I will judge it only when it comes out. It will have super sound features and few tricks on camera, too bad that it won't be selling in Baltic states :(

 • Always-on display (I know it can be disabled, but still), a large 6.1" LCD display, a Snapdragon 845 with 6GB of RAM (which I'd imagine to be fairly power hungry) and a 3000mAh battery? Seems like a great phone, but I think the battery life will be poor, and don't get me started on the name...

 • I have always been an LG fan and always waiting for their phones to come out, I find it difficult to get rid of the G5 obviously because of the IR blaster. LG needs to bring back the IR blaster and make the battery bigger than 3000mAh, and portrait mode in the camera

 • LG G7 ThinQ? Thin? This is as bad as LeanIn.org. Shame on LG for caving into politics.

 • Why would you put a 3000mAh battery in an Android phone with a 6.1 inch lcd screen? Good luck LG, it's like they want to get rid of the mobile division and they are doing their best to get low sales :) somebody should get fired on that team

 • lcd & 3000 battery ,, who will buy it ??

 • And where is the ir blaster?

 • ARMY!!! LOL hahahaha whatever SUGA will hold in a commercial/ads, that color of the phone is what I will buy LOL

 • It supports 4.5G? - Carrier Aggregation - MIMO 4x4 - Modulação avançada 256QAM

 • Don't buy it cause there is no IR port.

 • hahaha.. me too.... I jus came here after bts :P hey fello army :P

 • BTS are the global ambassadors of LG so Im buying it. Take my money.

 • There are two big mistakes. Lcd screen and poor battery. I never buy with LCD screen

 • Why Lg comes with this little battery????? I love the brand but always little battery...Don't buy it.

 • this phone has no regular LCD panel...besides the screen and chipset consumes 30% less energy than previous year model (V30)...let's wait for the reviews prior making lesser opinions......

 • Very poor battery and display also. Why they copied Apple iPhone X. Screen is also ips lcd not Oled. 3000 mah battery is also lg G4 😂😂😂 What they are doing

 • Pls Bring the irblaster back

 • I've been a fan of the LG G phones but for this one let's say that I ignore the downgraded battery compared to G6, come on LG why would you join the notch thing trend? I'm still happy with the G6 but when I need an update it seems more likely that I migrate to Samsung.

 • why battery is so small and not use dedicated slut?

 • ir-blaster and ips-display need !

 • Can't agree more

 • Bring the irblaster back

 • I can live with the notch, and very happy that they will keep the 3.5 jack but please make the battery at least 3,500 mAh.

 • I'm confused why alot of tech articles lately say that the G7 ThinQ has an extra button (singular) ? ? I see TWO extra buttons. I'm one of the few that must like button-less sides. LG has done button-less sides many times before. I hope it comes back.... among a couple other things.

 • I really hope the battery will be larger than 3000 mAh. It doesn't matter how good optimizations are, you better make a thicker phone with at least 3800, or 4000 mAh of battery. It is stupid to follow Samsung.

 • If your phone's price is affordable it can conquer the mkt

 • Actually i dont like notch display . . specially in android phones. It is far better to use full view display . (Using Lg v30+) . Notch display are available in poor phones like vivo V9+ and other midrange phones . Lg looks better and very comfortable on full view display . Notch display make us feel something uncomplete. I believe that Lg has its own identity . . and it should not follow other Lg should make a bit more bezel less , And upgrade the front cam. Otherwise i love my lg device.

 • Immediately Improve Ur battery power. It is very poor battery. Need power 4000 to 5000 Mah.

 • Just curious: What did you expect?

 • 3000mAh battery absolutely the first reason people not buying this phone

 • 3000 mAh ? This company is asking for bankruptcy :) They should just stop making phones...still no oreo on G6 and Android P is almost here.

 • The reason why almost all android handset manufacturers are aplying the notch trend is because the next android version, "P", is go'na have support for the notch. So it is cheaper to develop only android "0" to acomodate the notch than to develop future android notched versions to acomodate non noched handsets. This trend is set by google it self, not by any of LG, Huawei or Asus. It remains to be seen if the version after android "P" will also support the notch. But some spokesperson from OnePlus that, sad that "we will learn to love the notch,, so I belive that the notch will stay for some years from now. Sorry! I also dislike the notch.

 • It hasn't been officially announced yet, so these are all speculation, rumors, and leaks. I'd be wary of trusting these, especially because I just saw a source that said 3300 mah. Not great, but better than 3k.

 • Battery 3000mAh? LG is idiot?

 • The reason why almost all android handset manufacturers are aplying the notch trend is because the next android version, "P", is go'na have support for the notch. • htc u12+ is batter option...

 • omg lg :( -the new name is stupid (ThinQ) -the notch design is stupid, horible and iphone copy -big bezels -the IPS LCD in g4 g5 g6 v10 v20 have pinkish ghosting -no more removable battery -no more ir -no stereo speakers samsung -round edges like a soap, cant put a glass protector -oled burning ghosting worst and worst -no manual mode in camera like lg etc...

 • love the g5 because of it's IR , removable battery and because it's so easy to open and fix things if anything is broken. will hold it till it becomes unfixable in 2 3 years. but the g6 and g7 are just like the rest of the pack without anything uniqe. I don't see any reason to buy any of the new phones and especially not LG which is exactly like the rest but slightly worse.

 • Poor battery, ips lcd screen... And after why sales are so bad

 • WHY did they all FREAKIN' go with the NOTCH ?????????

 • Everything is good except the battery, sorry it's a NO for me :D

 • LG,... while you're at it ..... could you lower your flagship phone prices too ......just a notch , ok ? Knock it down two notches and I'll be even happier.

 • LG,... you don't happen to have the scrapped version of the original G7 phone phone laying around somewhere in R&D, do you ? ....cause I may be interested in buying one ?

 • I have the LG G6 and was looking forward to buying to the G7. Love LG but this 3,000 mAh battery is a deal breaker. Was wishful thinking it might actually have a 3,500 or larger battery. LG went smaller. Why LG why?

 • The way LG release their flag ship its like good, sh!t, good, shit per year G4 = Good G5 = Sh!t G6 = Good G7 = ahahah

 • This phone has bezels and a notch! WHY! Dedicated button for just another Bixby. Why Only 3000 mah why! Nobody cairs about Artificial intelligence LG please don't dig your grave! Regards the future.

 • That's a, rather funny name (in my opinion)

 • I hope we dont wait too long for the oled variant.

 • Guys, G7 will comes with M+ display technology which consumes 35% less power. So, 3000mh battery is quite adequate.

 • Actually, they do! With the introduction of M+ display, battery consumption will be reduced by 30%.

 • Not really! I have LG Q6 with dedicated microSD slot up to 2TB! Pretty cool.

 • 18:9 is an epic failure, then with a notch, converted back to 16:9 while watching movies. Then with 18:9 width, putting a big battery is limited, which is pathetic. Wonder who came out with this stupid 18:9 and notch thingy.

 • the weakest battery in 2018 !!! 3000 mah for 6 inches ??? woooo...wtf is going on in your head LG ???

 • lg hattters trolllling here

 • Removable battery

 • What I don't like with LG, it's using the sim2 slot for it's memory expansion. The duality will become useless once you use an SD expansion memory card. Why not make a dedicated slot for memory, by then, maybe I'll buy my next smart phone unit, an LG...

 • excellent camera . wow f/1.5 !

 • LG continuously increasing the display resolution & stay still with that poor 3000mah battery. It means they hv no any idea to find a solution for their major issue, poor battery life.

 • it will be 50€ more in local shop, without any protection like all phones before.that why better like xiaomi.

 • nice design

 • I hope they do something about that notch. LG makes beautiful phones but this G7 has a notch whyyyy?

 • 3000Mah batery ??? RIP LG !!!!

 • This is the stupidest design coming from LG. The only obvious reason the notch exists is to eliminate the top bezel but still have somewhere to put the earpiece/front-facing camera etc. Why would you go for a "notched" design but STILL have a top bezel above the notch????

 • nice nice design LG

 • Another bad move from LG, an innovative vendors, but never learn from competition.. G4 with SD808 n plastic. G5 with cool modular, but ugly. G6 with 821 while others came with 835 G7 with stupid notch

 • Apart from the notch, a nice design and a variety of color options.

 • 3000 mAh in fllagship wtf they thinking? Xiaomi Mi7 uses 4500 mAh and same specs but much lower price.

 • ...yet another notch crap! Another disappointment from LG! Peace

 • Exactly

 • I like LG devices but battery 3000 is a big issue

 • G2 G3 G4 G5 G6 G7 3000 mAh batteries !!!! WTF WTF WTF

 • LG pls don't be stingy with your battery, I love the G5 but the Battery is dissapointing. It doesn't take Long to realise from remarks and forums like these what consumers want and need on a phone... Please Listen: 3.5mm headphone Jack and 4000ma Battery, 6GB RAM, an Expandable SD Card slot, Personally I like LG for keeping the FM receiver (Love it when I go on my Long Cycling runs, so battery doesn't drain. And I noticed the software like iPhones tend to slow after using awhile (at least Apple admits it, full marks for being open to consumers)

 • I was hoping for at least a 3500 mAh battery. I will NOT buy this phone if it has a 3,000 mAh battery.

 • stop making the battery smaller! you lost my business.

 • No, you won't cause LG themselves said that they won't be using an OLED Display for this device cause it'd cost them too much to produce such displays and they said that they'll stick to IPS displays. Even if they put such option it will drain the battery too much, cause AMOLED and OLED Displays don't drain battery on black colours. You can take the Huawei P20 Pro, the one with the tripple cameras, it also has a notch but because it has an OLED Display, users have an option to hide the notch by spanning black colours all over the display next to the notch. I hope you understand now!

 • only 3000mah batter for 6 inch screen? must be a joke?

 • LG mobiles are good mobile good performance i like LG cameras but lg g7 is big mistake 3000mah battery.Big screen and small battery.

 • you are gona be able to hide it

 • Im really excited about the G7thinQ. could be a better battery. but maybe it would be good with the 35% less screenpower consumption

 • The Notch. faith in LG, Destroyed.

 • Looks like it will be a decent phone. Not super huge so battery life should be fine. I'm not a huge fan of the notch but if theres an option to make the top bar black in line with it then it'll be more than fine for me. The only issue a notch design like this has is the corners of the LCD are closer to the edges of the phone which could mean it'll be easier to damage. Other than that, the phone looks good. Might purchase, but will definitely keep my eye on it.

 • Ok, there has been enough negativity on notches since that 'X' phone came out last year. Enough said by random everyday comments as well as tech reviewers and tech writers. Enough 'constructive criticism' has been said .....if it hasn't ALL already been said. Vote with your wallet.... let "them" hear you loud and clear that way. From now on, all negative notch comments are just drama.

 • LG got the right path with LG g6. Only they have to work on software upgrades and little tweaks here and there, wireless charging on all of the models and they got a winer. This stupid notch wheel screw LG this year big time.

 • Basically i hate that notch. Im waiting for the phone with completely no notch. Where pop out feature at the top where we can slide in front camera and sensor...

 • all "flagship" devices are nothing but a copy, they do not offer too much. i didn't think this before but looks like buying a new phone now is a bad idea, you are paying for garbage

 • Never again such a small capacity battery and big hi res screen. Its so idiotic..

 • lg g7 and oneplus 6 looks almost identical... lol ?

 • Good price for a flagship but no Gorrila Glass for a durable phone. Also a fugly Notch.

 • Only xiaomi and Nokia. Samsung making still 3000 mAh batteries in their super expensive phones.

 • This is ugly copy of Iphone X. Every new smartphone this year have the same design. This is redicilous ... 6 inch screen with 3000 mAh battery is bullshit. I am disapointed. Only Xiaomi, Nokia and Samsung make something different. This smartphone may be will be 1000 Euro.

 • Wow. What a reply!!!

 • LG's most admiring "flagship" yet. Fantastic battery as always, but now they added a notch to the mix of superiority. Of course, maybe stereo speakers too, should be as always.

 • looks like a mate 9 with an ugly notch...

 • Please have some stereo speakers and a bigger battery maybe.

 • 1b. BIG Battery, the rest is not that important to me. Also it shouldn't be bigger than 4.7 - 5.1".

 • very nice designed phone, i'm going to buy this

 • Oneplus 6 and lg g7 looks the same. And both apple copycats

 • 3000 Mah LOL. I think one of the battery manufacturers are trying to push the 3000 Mah failure to be cleared out of its misery at a very cheap rate. Samsung and LG looks to be the target.

 • LG's most disgusting "flagship" yet. Pathetic battery as always, but now they added a notch to the mix of mediocrity. Of course, no stereo speakers too, again as always.

 • oh No (uses SIM 2 slot), why not dedicated memory card slot?

 • 3000mAh..? its like a joke no wonder LG always under the shadow their rivals

 • If it had stereo and a bigger battery(3400mah would be enough) it would have smashed Samsung this years. The notch is not a big deal for sure, plus it will be hidden by soft probably so.Anyway a nice phone from LG.Maybe we will see a G7 mini?Snap 660 and 5.6 inch display at full hd+ without notch would be very nice at under 500 euros.

 • It will be especially about its autonomy (LG G6 is a fail in this regard) and the cameras...

 • Plz LG, add bigger battery, at least 4000mah.

 • I saw picture other day. Green lg g7. Its would look so sexy in nero colour. And i want screen burn in stop its annoying me. 2nd display like lg v20 which i hasnt had b4. I almost went for lg v30 i wait until may but this week i thought about samsung s9. And no way i leave lg for other phone. There features i love on lg and couldn't. Lol come on i want see new phone

 • Well now that it's been confirmed that the GUY will be coming with a notch I'm buying a S9 I don't want to be called out by my peers that my phone is a iPhone look alike I've been using LG devices since the original Optimus G and now I've given up hope the company trying to fix there company losses with the "New LG Device" is just gonna make them lose even more

 • best phone. better than Samsung.

 • We can choose between lcd and oled. I will choose oled. Congratulations on this idea LG. I was afraid for a moment that the g7 would only come with LCD.

 • What about the G6 did you dislike?

 • MLCD+ great - innovation (less power comsumption, more natural colors compared to oled, no burning) In no time lot of manufacturers will start using that technology screen size - very good for me notch - good - no need to check notifications or time in games cameras - amazing battery life - much better than competition because of mlcd+ headphone jack big plus from me (hoping for quad dac like v30) good job LG

 • G7 may come with two version by having mlcd+ and oled. Im love to see that..

 • I hope the whole "hide notch" feature is true, because if it's not then this phone will just fail

 • I heard a rumor LG will be keeping the screen density lower as to save battery life. If this is true this should make it as the note 8 where you can change the screen density quality

 • Mayte you're not wrong! Unlike the brand Huawei, their designs are amazing; check out the P20 Pro, you'll be nothing but impressed!!

 • I hope it comes with Oled screen

 • Why only 3000 mah battery?? What's with LG??

 • WOW !! what an innovation iPhone X on the font then s9 at the back .

 • LG you better put the SD845 inside this G7.... Its a glass back so most probably it will come with wireless charging, not that it is a priority but would be nice to have.....

 • This front looks like X+S9 baby.

 • when will the g7 be released?

 • What i want from a smartphone : 1. Performance 2. Cameras 3. Display 4. Design 3 and 4 are shit (personally think so) , so let wait for performanc and camera . But definitely i am not buy g7 or whatever they call it.

 • ive had my lg g5 / lcd screen / for nearly 2 years / served me well / however, games and stuff burn into background and phone overheats quickly.

 • Oled the best

 • There are people out there dont want grey white and want the most natural look of lcd...plus i dont like burn out..

 • 6.2" is too big.

 • I wait this phone with OLED , if it has LCD screen , I never buy it

 • Again small battery for big high resolution screen, it's a big no

 • I don't care about notch, I care about screen size. 6.2" is way too big for normal use, I don't understand why producers every year increase screen size. 5.7" with 19:8 is top for normal phone.

 • Notch = no buy. I expected more out of LG, this is really dissapointing.
