  • I received new update for G Flex 2 yesterday :O Nothing special, just some minor improvements and it weighted 56mb and was dated May 2018. Overall performance seems to be little smoother but no security update included, oddly. Anyway, after 3,5 years since it's release, it was a big surprise we still got update!

  • overall disappointment! pros the dimentions and curvature of the screen cons display contrast in sunny days, overheating, changed motherboard twice within warranty, sometimes is very laggish, sometimes drains the battery and overheats simultaneously

  • While I had the 2 year guarantee, I had to change the battery and then the circuit board. Also you can't film concerts because the microphone is crappy. And before the repairs it had problems connecting with wifi automatically. But other than that I had no problems. The camera is good and it is fast.

  • I had this problem recently. I tried hard resetting, but still had the bootloop problem. I've sent my G Flex 2 to warranty (2 months of warranty left, i was lucky on this one haha) and they replaced the motherboard. Now it works like a brand new one, hopefully it will last.

  • mine just died while i was typing sms. screen just go black and i wont turn on or react when connect it to charger, and days after i tried to turn it on again and it did turn on but indicates that it needs to charge, when i connect it to charger it charges a while gets few percents that tries tu turn on, get to lg logo and turn off again i then it dont react on anything until battery drains on it self again. does someone knows is it battery or does it need new motherboard?

  • I have the same issue. What worked for me at least for now: Let the phone sit on ice for 10 mins, then start. Backup the data and images as fast as you can and get a new phone. Interesting thing is that this issue started after recent firmware update. The CPU overheats really fast on startup, causing the system to either restart, reset or brick the phone. If it bricks your phone, break it apart, disconnect the battery, wait 2 minutes, connect the battery, put the cover back on and repeat the process with coolling the phone with ice. It looks crazy, but that worked for me so far.

  • Advantages: Fast processor. Quality Camera. Disadvantages: The brightness of the display can not be reduced much, even when auto mode is used to limit power consumption. It always shines bright.   • It appears to be a common problem with GFlex2. I first noted that I would go to bed with batery fully charged by the time I got up it was completely discharged.Recently it was very hot while charging. Then I could not boot it up.Found only way to boot it up was to keep it plugged in. Did factory reset. Helped a little but still can only use it if is plugged in.If I unplug it shuts off immediately.Then tries to reboot about every 5 seconds but never completes reboot untill I plug it back in. When not plugged in battery declines very fast. Beautiful exterior.Garbage interior.

  • My rear camera is in the process of failing now too. Rarely opens, but when it does it usually takes upside down pink pics. Very very rarely can I take a normal pic and if I can it's like playing beat the clock because in a few seconds the camera will stop running. Also had the motherboard problem but it was still under warranty. Battery is going now too but that's only bc it's over a year old. Doubt I'll be buying another LG phone.

  • Probably never. Flex phones were kinda financial flops so i don't think there will be another Flex, at least not by LG. I love my G Flex2 though :)

  • Help! My 13-year old daughter is having a hard time living without a cell phone! She's had the LG Flex 2 for about 2 year. So far, it's had the battery replaced and a new charging port installed. Now, she's getting this message: "Your phone needs a SIM card to work. You may have not inserted it correctly"... We have tried these things so far: (1) Powering of and restarting the phone, (2) Removing and re-installing the battery and SIM card, (3) Replaced the SIM card and (4) Restoring the phone to factory settings. I lost my job 6 weeks ago and can't afford to replace the phone. Does anyone have anymore suggestions before I have to do that? Thx!

  • Try to remove sd ! Switch off first , remove sd card then power on and open camera apk. Then switch off again , insert sd card and power on ! Enter camera apk. and press yes if you want photos to be saved in sd card ! If the problem still exists maybe a fulty sd is the reason ! However if you don't have any sd inserted to your mobile phone, ignore my reply ! :)

  • I've had my flex2 for 14 months and already looking forward to replace it. It was a good phone until it made software update for the android OS. Then it started being really slow and it keeps getting worse, sometimes it freezes and resets by itself. The battery life is another problem, I have to charge it twice a day and using only texting apps regularly. If I leave it with 40% battery before going to sleep, it's usually dead when I wake up about 6 hours later. So I have to carry charging cable with me at all times, this is very annoying. I am dissappointed with this LG phone and I will not consider buying another LG in the future. Before I had this phone I had an iphone 5 and it was much faster and responsive even after 2 years of use.

  • Great phone overall, but as everybody here discreabed the phone overheats a lot. Just picked it up from the phone shop, second repair and its still under waranty. Both times the sim card reader slot died. They changed the motherboard the second time. What a shame...

  • i wont lie, it was a pretty neat phone i didnt mind but over time the problems started to increase. Besides the overheating , the wifi and bluetooth wasnt working , the phone was restarting almost every week and shorter gradually and the worst is when i tried to update it , it stopped and i got the blue screen of death which i havent fix as yet

  • Unfortunately that's a trademark of the otherwise pretty capable SD 810. I had a G Flex 2 and during the hot summer months and general heavy usage (especially if it was connected to a charger) it often got burning hot, which in turn lead to significant performance degradation due to the agressive throttling. That's a shame, because it wasn't a bad phone overall.

  • That's not true. I mean, it depends what variant you have. Maybe not all have been updated to 6.0.1 yet but mine (H955 unlocked) got MM using LG PC Suite back in October or November, can't remember.

  • I highly doubt it will be that soon... ...MM update took ages to arrive to this phone (i think i received it back in October last year from LG PC Suite. Heck, this phone probably won't be getting Nougat at all or do you have some proof from LG? Honestly, i'm so happy it even got MM update which i thought would never happen :P

  • There must be either something wrong with your battery or have a lot of background apps running because with screen brightness at 100% with moderate usage I get a full day out of my battery and only need to put it on charge when I go to bed at night. If I reduce my screen brightness to around 70% I get a day and half out of it so there is definitely something wrong with your battery or setup!

  • Mine was working almost perfectly for 1,5 years until 4 days ago. It died overnight... Couldn't be turned on, while booting the logo appears followed by the flashing blue screen, followed by the restart or turning off or some endless loop with the screen off. When connected to charger doesn't turn the red LED on. Tried Hard reset - nothing. It just resets and the same sequence occurs. Only thing that is working is Download mode (Volume Up + USB connection). Tried to upload different ROM-s. While uploading, in 95% tries the procedure interrupts in a random moment. In the case of a successful upload still nothing changes. So to summarize. From very satisfied user that was recommending LG as a brand (really like screen tapping, rear buttons, curvature...) I have to say that I am disappointed, a lot...

  • Hi everybody, Marshmallow update is working from LG PC Suite (I have a factory unlocked phone) I just did. Checking the update directly from the phone always gave me the message that I use the latest software version. So install LG PC Suite and to the update from it.

  • I had the same problem. The flash doesn't work. I tried every settings of the camera and nothing. Then entered in the hidden menu and tried the function of the camera and " O , mirracle !!! " the flash flashed. But, in fact, works only one of the leds, the yellow one. The other doesn't work. Even with a flashlight app, only the yellow led of the flash works.   • Updated mine H955 yesterday, V15c to V20c hungarian. Phone runs so buttery smooth,they did the UI overhaul (like G4's UI). When when you firsrt time run android on phone you will notice baterry draining fast('bout 5-10%), because of optimisation I think, but I like the new update, it works great.   • It has it's strengths and weaknesses It is very durable. I tried CPR on it myself and hasn't broken. Dropped it a few times, still fit as a fiddle without a case or screen protector. The image and video quality are so good, it's almost real. Games run so smoothly... it's like my beast PC in graphics. Charges very fast if untouched and you use LG adapters. The screen is curved, so regular straight phones look so wierd when you get used to to. Soooo... eh: it's livable The battery dies SOOOOOO fast. You can plug and play, but that is ill-advised for regular phones, especially this one because it can reach up to 122 degrees if you charge and look text or answer a call. Forget plug-in-play unless you have a water cooling case (they do exist; I'm not trying to be funny here). This isn't LG's fault, but they need to make it so portable batteries can fast charge (or have LG manufacter portable batteries that will fast charge LG devices) IT NEEDS AN SD SLOT the lowest screen brightness provided by the phone is so low, I needed to download a screen dimmer. But if you like bright light and nothing but, this is your phone. All in all, if your a mobile gamer, go for it. Otherwise... eh.. it's 45/55 con-pro respectively.

  • I have run antutu again after a couple of days and now the score is 84471.It is better than Samsung galaxy note 5.I am wery pleased with overall performance of my phone with 6.0.1.No bugs detected yet and battery life is longer a bit than before.

  • both phones are good. I own both. However the flex 2 has a better screen and better specs. G Flex original is still stuck on Kitkat. LG did not update it. Maybe it was just an experiment. LGs update culture is not very good. My Flex 2 is still on Lollipop. Hope this helps

  • run antutu couple days after update, that it should get you the score that it needs to show. on 5.1.1 my score is 75k+ and with update its easily going 10k and more on top of that. also for the battery you need few cycles to see how it is behaving, let us now how it battery life and how much SOT do you get now on MM and how much did you get on LP, but in couple of days when you can now more exact numbers for the MM.

  • First impresions of Lg gf2 on MM 6.0.1.Best thing is much faster loading of web pages in Browser.Everithing works smoth and fast.UI seems more beautifull.Battery life seems longer,you can see on battery usage graph that is using much less power when is on stand by.Antutu scores 72000 which is more than on android 5.1.1 and more then LG v10 for example.So far I didnt notices any bugs but I will keep you informed if something actually comes up.I can recomend GF2 to everyone.

  • I got this phone back in March and I liked it, but within 4 month it stopped recognising an simcards making it unusable as a phone. I sent it to be repaired with LG and they returned it 5 weeks later saying they would not repair it. It has no visible damage, and has not come into contact with any water, it just seemed to stop working. LG did not give any reason when returning it for not repairing it and told me I needed to contact there technicians, at a premium rate number, who would tell me why they won't fix it. I was informed there will be no way to change this decision even if I called. I wouldn't buy this phone again, or in fact any LG phone after this level of customer service.

  • Dear the phone itself is more than ok for multitasking, games ,video player etc. The battery is not so bad and the 2 gb ram where only around 800mgb are free(there is only one model 3 gb and that is for Asia if not mistake) is enough for normal purpose, and the downloading thru Wi-Fi is very fast compare to other mid to high range terminals. I have this phone (ls 996) for 6 months and didn't update to MM, play games, video, call and charge in the evening (half display brightness indoor areas). Don't have high dreams about GF2 ,is still an phone not an Mac or Notebook but more catchy then an AAppllee brick :-)

  • MM update (6.0.1) available in UK via LG PC suite. Updated my H955 unbranded yesterday. The phone is working fine no problems. One thing I noticed is that the "One handed operation" on Lock screen pin pad is gone and so is the option to customize the pin pad. Also home screen landscape mode has not been implemented by LG. Moto G3 running on MM 6.0.1 has got it.

For one who have a problem with reset- try factory reset after backup of data and if that doesn't help, try to go back to 5.1.1 with LGUP program, than try to update phone to 6.0.1.   • Lg work hard on this phone. For me it was good with lollipop but now it's even better, you can feel the difference. Just remember always do factory reset. It's running much cooler. Lg you have done good job.

The camera is really good , i now get about 4h of Sot with youtube, 9gag and what's up. My phone used to overheat and only give 2-2.5h of Sot when i first got it but after i stopped playing heavy games and gave it a resset it now works good the only problems being the lack of software updates and poor low and max lighting.   • In short-both programs can be used to check for updates, with lg pc suite you can also back up your media, sms, contacts, calendar...and such staff

  • When you install lg support tool on computer and then when you connect phone and computer via usb cable - lg support tool should check for updates automaticly. With lg pc suite is similar, only you have to find option for software update check and it will do it. You can find better manuals for these operations on internet (try lg site, xda or just google it).

  • You can find version info in settings-basic settings-basic settings about phone (the last setting down)-hardware info. In hardware info first thing is your phone version (h955 is mine, I also know that there ate h950 and f510-but it is for Korea). If your phone is network branded maybe updates are operator dependent and they have to push you the update (v15c for example). You can also try to check for updates with usb cable, but you need to install lg pc suite on your computer, or some lg support tool (I tjink that you can find it on lg site). Good luck!

  • Nobody knows if/when that update will be avaliable. I have h955 and that kdz file from xda worked fine, but I returned to 5.1.1 (but v15c), to wait for official version of mm for unlocked phones, like mine is. If nothing hapens untill december/january I fill flash that file again and next time I will buy huawei or some other chinese phone, because at least I can root it anf put some other rom (which is not the case now because of the locked bootloader)

  • i have added guest mode through "shortcut master (lite)" app, in that app go to search and type guest and than in results find something like guestmode settings, from there you can set app guest mod and permissions for it..

  • Happens to me too. It seemed only to happen in the car but I think it's from the screen overheating when in the sun. I get a warning also when I try to turn the brightness up that it's too warm. Let i TR cool siren and it goes back to normal.

  • I've been having screen issues also. The screen freezes in black and shows a red line. Sometimes the top of the screen flashes during the freeze.

  • Now your running mm on your gf2 but you have a problem with the low 7-9gb internal storage. No sweat, plug your phone to pc and partition your sd card, instant 16, 32, 64gb internal storage for those huge gameloft, ea, etc.

The users who know android & can customize loves this phone, coz we liked the processor for our games. Camera is average, battery is ok.

  • How in gods name are your phones getting so hot. The hottest mine has gotten has been 103° F (39° C). I was playing FF Exvius and charging my phone also had Netflix open. Was switching between the game and a movie. The G Flex 2 is definately worth it after you install the updates. Best Android phone I have owned. Camera is just OK though. Have you installed all the updates?

  • I have used both. No competition here. Go for the GF2. J7 6 has a crappy low res screen. GF2 has 403 ppi Full HD screen. Moreover, GF2 has gyro sensor and J7 hasnt, so this makes GF2 compatible with Virtual Reality. Plus the curved design is a head turner.

  • it is only available through PC Suite and its for some branded phones, if you have unbranded you can find kdz online, download it on you PC and then update you phone connecting it with PC and using LGUP software. it is 6.0.1. search the xda forum for simplified instructions.

  • Was a great phone for a great price (up to now), but sadly it just seems like my phone is also slowly starting to die on me. After only about 8 months of use, the battery quality is diminishing fast and (even more important) i get very frequent reboots from overheating (sometimes i can't even boot the phone anymore - seems to be related to the cpu and/or the lte module). Was a bit of an lg fanboy (loved my g2), but these issues and their last security&stability patch dating back about half a year gives me the creeps. Seems like Nexus devices are the only way to go. You should steer clear of this one.

  • Why is there so many complaints about the G Flex2?? what the are you doing with your Devices?? I've been using my Flex 2 for almost a year now and the only problem I've encountered is overheating, I didn't experience random reboot or bootloop whatsoever. I'm using my Flex 2 as a daily driver from Internet browsing, Music, Text and call, games (Asphalt 8 & Cytus) and as a Camera. The battery is still good it still lasts a day and It's up to date 5.1.1 lollipop. It may not as good looking as the other flagships but it stands out because of the curved screen, OLED display and the Flamenco Red color. My Flex 2 is F510 32GB and 2GB of RAMs.

  • Hey bro, i thought the issue is battery, i replace the battery with broken lg g flex 2 that I bought, now everything is good, the issue now is random reboot. rear camera is not working also, says camera error. I opened the phone to check all the parts. Its good intact. I think the real issue now is the motherboard, why? when I check the cpu Z of my phone. core 0 to 4 is working up to 1500. core 5 sleep, core 6 1500, core 7 sleep. Now the question is WTH. The apps that I just install is just clash of clan and facebook!!! this never happen to my phone when I bought this before reaching 9 months old to me. I think the quality of LG is bad for long term or the SD 810 is the real culprit here, before the issue occur to me, my phone get warm when I use data. Still not the reason to had issue with.   • I have been facing a little problem with my flex 2. My mobiles google services eating battery. If i turn off the wifi it is super fine. And my phone can hold battery life till the next day. But on wifi google services are eating battery. I googled this problem. Try to fix it but no use. Overall this phone is very sexy.

  • Absolutely the worse flagship phone I've ever used. Build feels cheap due to plastic used. No removable battery compared to other LG models. The snapdragon 810 is terrible under load as it begins to throttle and overheat. I regret purchasing this device, and will be replacing it only after 6 months of use. I do not recommend this phone.

  • Dude I am facing the same reboot issue as i bought it in August 2015，it remains on when on charge but starts rebooting as I stoppedcharging.I checked its battery which is not holding current though battery looks fine shap-wise, so its a battery issue of mine and I ordered a new battery from china that will be received in a week then I will let you inform about the reboot issue solved or not.

  • You can say that again. I guess LG are having problems with the update but are working on it, that would explain why it has taken so long. Open source of Marshmallow has been released just a few days ago so that looks promising, at least :) If we are lucky, it won't take long until update starts rolling out.

  • I bet you guys are using a lot of apps. The more apps, the faster battery drains. Thats why after the phone works normally after reset. Try to delete apps that you don't need, don't use or use 1-2 times per year.

  • I have a problem with software each time after 2 weeks i have to format mobile to regain its good performance otherwise battery drains too fast and overheating even at standby mode and no fast charging, once i format mobile every thing return ok for another 2 weeks!!!

  • What i have heard, it was laggy and got overheating problems with 5.0.1 lollipop but after 5.1.1 update, both problems were solved. Mine was luckily already on 5.1.1 out of the box when i got my international unlocked version so i have not personally experienced lagginess or overheating problems :)

  • The G Flex 2 was my second LG phone after the Optimus G pro. Loved the phone but never buying another LG phone again. I am sick of the lack of software support on a device that was semi flagship at the time, when Sony, HTC and even Samsung phones are getting updated to Android N. Look at HTC, they are even updating mid range phones like the Desire 826. Same with Sony. LG's software support sucks. Done with LG for lifetime. Bye bye.

  • no, that is what they say here in the specs, but in reality there are only 1 version which is 3/32 GB that is for one of the US carrier (Sprint maybe) others are all 2/16 and 2/32, yes there are 2/32 versions! p.s. maybe there is one more 3/32 version but only for some part of Asia, not completely sure, but any way it probably wont work on most of networks elsewhere..

  • Contact official LG service of your country. This happened to me, its the motherboard, and its broken. They will most likely change the whole motherboard as they did for me. Before you do all this do a factory reset and see how it goes. Be sure whatever applications you use are legit. If the factory reset didnt do it, you are off to LG service.

  • When i charge it to 100% i let it charge 10 min more then when i dont touch the phone it last like 15h on 100% and then drops down on 99%! I think thats good.

  • This is deffinitely not right... It mustn't drop 25% in 6 hours when the phone is idle.. I don't know do you have the warranty, but if you do, my advice is to send the device to the person or the shop which sold it to you, as this is not right. But if you don't have warranty, maybe factory reset(as I said esrlier) would solve the problem, or buying the new battery and checking if that helps. Hope that you will find a solution, and post here if you had.

  • its takes 1% battery in every 2 mins when i use the phone and 25% battery in 6 hours when the phone is idle. i also face another problem .. fast charging. fast charging works perfectly when the battery is completely drained out but if i charge it on 60% or 20 % it wont fast charge. i have to off it and then plug it again to fast charge. i cant be sure if its fast charing or not when i plug it. i have to wait and see if it fast charging, then only i can leave to do other things.

  • I do use a 3rd party app 'cause I don't wanna kill my eyes at night time! But the problem is deeper. LG has made G Flex 2 brighter to hide pentile which could be seen even stronger with reduced brightness. And MAY BE Marshmallow has some restrictions in this way, may be it doesn't let do smth. with the screen by force... It's just a theory.

  • You can use LG backup & restore to backup everything to external sd, after that do factory defaults and remove everything from your phone (not the sd). Sign in with your Google account and run LG restore, your phone will be like the first day you bought it! I did that after one year and I'm very happy with the results, it restores everything, messages, whatsapp etc.

  • Exactly my thoughts too! LG priorities are fucked up regarding Marshmallow updates... ...even some LG's Snapdragon 410 chipset devices already got 6.0 update but not their flagship Flex 2?   • My flex 2 battery lasts at least a whole day of normal, to mediate usage(texting, facebook, whatsapp, bit of taking pictures, web browsing...) try a factory reset, and don't install any apps, try out how the phone is behaving, if battery still lasts so short, then try buying a new battery. Has the battery lasted longer in the begining, or was this problem present since you bought the phone?

  • Maybe you use some heavy app that drain the battery. Try make factory reset and dont install any games or dubious apps, also don't use any "power management" apps anyhow (because they don't actually help!). Sometimes these steps help. If not, it may be a battery problem. Actually I don't play any games on mine so it lasts long enough. Battery also is getting killed when your phone gets hot. So, guys - this phone is not for games...

  • Hello, Am owning an LG G Flex2 (16 GB) version and suggest you not to go for this phone. As the phone heats up regularly. At times the heat is unbearable. Performance stand point it is again a very weak phone compare to its main rivals. The only reason you should be buying this phone is for its curvy screen. If you are buying please buy 32 GB version. In 16GB version, 7GB is used by the system and user gets only 8.4 GB. P.S: Have not known much about 5x.

  • that sounds like it's a GPU problem, specifically overworked. If you can't RMA it and can't get your money back I would look into the possibility of finding a custom kernel and underclocking the GPU.... However this is probably not possible since this isn't a popular phone with much custom development attention...

  • The model I own is the international 16GB rom / 2GB ram model I've had this phone since black friday 2015 since the sale price of 220 € was irresistible. Before I give my opinion this is what i value: Price/performance (I'm a student), a good OLED display is a must have, 5.5+ screen size, SD slot (I'm not paying the ludicrous premiums of higher capacity phones), IR Blaster (I can never find my remote, and frankly have no clue where it is since I haven't used it in over a year, so I love having an IR transmitter on my phone), Battery should last me a day and finally the phone has to be fast and fluid. (My phones so far have been: S3, iphone 4s, S4 +, Nexus 5, Xiaomi note 2) Now my opinion: At 220 € this phone is a decent buy, definitely a top 3 for me, the phone is very fast and responsive (i'm on stock rom 5.1.1). The construction is great (there's a BUT), the plastic back feels a little meh (that self healing coating is kinda weird since bigger scratches remain, so it just looks like I got a new phone and beat it on concrete, instead of looking 6 months old), but that doesn't matter because the glass is the most resistant i've ever had on a phone, there are NO macro nor micro scratches on the glass and i've never used a case or a screen protector... it is like new 6 months in... And i've dropped this phone on concrete a couple of times and on wooden floors plenty of times. BUT: the screen is utter garbage. I got a grainy (only on grey and red colors) at anything but 100% brightness. The worst part is LG wouldn't RMA the product so big minus on customer service (In their opinion the display was fine)... And it really disappoints when it can't even compete with the S3 which is 4 years old now. Performance is great (BUT), the phone is fast and responsive and I can't recall any hiccups, stutters, crashes, etc... off the top of my head, so a big plus. The internal storage speed is just ludicrously fast for a phone (benched at 220+ MB/s read/write) and that might explain why :). BUT (here it comes) this phone gets warm to the touch but the thermals cause the screen brightness to lower automatically, making it utterly useless outdoors on a sunny day at anything over 15 degrees C (70F roughly, I believe) and for me this pulls down doubly because my screen is crap (grainy) at anything but 100% brightness... The battery life is fine! I get around 3-4.5 of screen on time (depending on the day) but it has been completely fine for getting me through almost any day. The kicker is the fast charger which is also very fast (I think it charges about 50%-60% in 30 min). I do not care about the camera, it works for scanning in documents and that's about what I do with it :) So I cannot comment on the camera performance. Neither do I care about the speaker since I only use it for alarm clocks and playing music while showering so all I can say is that it's loud enough to do both:) The Headphone jack (or rather the internal amp) is nothing to write home about, it has enough grunt to power low impedance headphones (mine are 60 ohm headphones and it barely manages to push them). Wifi is great, I only have a 100-100 connection at home so no surprise I have speed tested it to about 98-99 on speedtest, but haven't tested its limits. Same goes for LTE reception... It might even be slightly above average... Most of my friends have iphones so I can only say that it has better reception than any iphone. Custom roms are really scarce... this is not a popular product so if you don't like LGs version of android then don't buy it, or do your research! Lastly, the curve is just awesome. It does a few things: It makes the phone easier to handle, which is nice since I have small hands. (speculation time) I also think the bend and flexibility helps shock absorption which would explain why it handles drops like a Baws! Yes, Baws! The effect of the bend on the screen and viewing experience is negligible... I forgot it wasn't flat after 10 min of use. I do not know what the experience is like with Google Cardboard or similar products... TLDR: Great budget phone, 200-250 € is the right price point. But also don't expect more for your money (since it did launch at 650+ € I believe...)... It is fast, responsive, good battery life, full feature pack for the indoor person, but outdoors it starts to falter. The screen and thermal throttling related to the screen brightness is garbage and the screen doesn't get particularly bright nor does it get particularly dim... It is a remarkably poor display. The quality control is utter junk and so is customer service (In Denmark at least), however it is built like a tank and is the most drop and scratch resistant phone i've owned. This phone is LG in its wheelhouse... The 200-400 € price range is where LG shines (I mean the G4 dropped to 400€ after about 3 months I believe, and that's where LG can compete. Are you looking for a large budget phone at about 250 € that performs really well all around with a few quirks and you have the time and energy to deal with these issues yourself, then go for it! I hope this was helpful.

  • i have an issue with this device. Sometimes a horizontal line appears up on the screen (like the line when you lock the screen via double tap). In this time the touch screen is functional, but I can't see anytthing, under that line the screen is black, but I can hear the touch functions.   • If you are using a international version, then you might have got all the updates. If you are using a carrier version, then your carrier will update your phone! In order to update the phone, you should be on the same network as your phone!

  • I'm on T-mobile and have the ATT version of the phone. I got the hotspot to work by flashing the 5.1.1 PR rom onto the phone. If you have a sprint version or are using another carrier, I don't know whether this will help with the hotspot. You can check XDA forums for more info, but be sure not to brick your phone.

  • I've had this phone for almost a year now and here's what I've found. Pros: 1. Curved screen. Believe it or not, it actually fits in a pocket better. 2. SD card slot. This is more of a necessity these days, I hate the idea of having to spend hundreds of dollars extra on a phone for memory that costs about $15 at a local store. 3. Camera. It's a decent camera, but let's be honest, no phone camera phone will ever rival a real camera. You are really only as good as your glass. Cons: To be fair from the outset, I don't like this phone much. Having said that... 1. Runaway battery drain. I have no idea what is causing this, I'm not a heavy gamer and don't have a lot of apps that run in the background but I can watch the percentage go down. 2. Heat. Lots of it. I live in the north, so having it is nice in the winter, but I'm sure it's not good for the phone. This may be related to my runaway battery drain. 3. Accessories. Since the phone was pretty much a retail failure, no one bothered to make cases or anything like that for it. Good luck finding a case or other accessories. 4. Performance. Given the chipset and memory, it really isn't that quick. Now, that could have to do with the AT&T bloatware that is put on the phone that you can't get rid of, but the phone doesn't perform as strongly as I believe it should. 5. Buttons on back. Maybe I'm too much of a traditionalist, but I'm not a fan. Kinda wonky when you try and use them. 6. WiFi. I've noticed that it doesn't really do well. I have a 75/75 network and a 1200ac router, but it's worse than 4G LTE. If other devices I had performed badly I'd say it's the network, but this is the only one. 7. Battery replacement. Or lace there-of. Now that I'm having battery issues or something causing a drain, I can't replace the battery myself. So, I can either get the battery replaced and hope that solves the problem or just move on to another phone. Overall I was really excited to get this phone when I bought it, ( I buy my phones outright so price is a part of the equation and I don't ever want a contract), but after a few months, that wore off. Now I'm at the point where replacing the phone is a real option. Also, given that other manufactures are becoming relevant in the US (ZTE, Huawei, Blu and many others) these major phone makers are really going to have to do better than gimmicks to keep their share given they charge between double and triple what the smaller makers get for their phones. I am not anti-LG or anti any company for that matter, everyone does some stuff really well. I've had other LG's in the past that I really liked, this just isn't one of them. If you factor in the price it's currently going for, about $200 on eBay, it's really not that bad, but there are better options out there for a little more money. I'd give it about a 7/10 when new, about 3/10 after 1 year.

  • Just a few observations for those who are or will be soon interested in this device. It has got only 2GB RAM not 3. The only G Flex2 device having 3GB RAM is H950 (HK version). But anyway RAM isn't a limitation as these are DDR4 working very good. The phone itself is remarkable from the design perspective. Curved display is so nice to use. The phone back so called "self-healing" is rather a marketing gimmick and the device gets sratches as any other plastic back, I would guess even more, lol. On the other hand considering its price being low word wide, this is a beast. There are no heavy overheating issues on the 5.1.1 version. The SOT (well I am rooted and using greenify and PowerNap) is around 5 to 5.30 hrs of medium usage. Antutu - mine slightly below 80K. Taking into account SD810 plus Adreno 430, for it's price, this is a winner. Although the Android M will likely not come as LG do not say anything. Camera is decent and I am absolutely fine with the pictures. There's not too many options in camera settings but you can download some extended apps on PlayStore and you'd be fine to go.

  • Yes it should... ...there's no official word on when yet but it's on LG's confirmed list of devices getting Marshmallow. But you never know, anything can happen and Flex2 hasn't sold so well. If i was you, i would wait for it to get Marshmallow before buying it if Marshmallow update is one of the key reasons for you to get the device. I bought this phone couple of months ago and it had 5.1.1 out of the box, luckily :)

  • LG decided to destroy the phone, and doing it with premeditation. They do not want to unlock the bootloader although the official software is defective and poor in any options, such as camera, no options and laser autofocus does not work. Price phone today is a ridiculous low. It is better to sell this wonderful phone and buy samsung, who does not make problems to developers.

  • Hi For me curved screen is not a deal-breaker. It is a nice feature to have. If I have to pick between two similar phones one flat one curved, I would pick curved. 1. It has nice design. It does have wow effect, tested in public. Nobody will tell you "Is that iPhone?" if you have one. With Flex2 I heard "Is it really curved? wow, nice" 2. It IS more comfortable to hold, but difference is very small 3. It should be more durable in theory - the screen can flex, and the phone will never land on glass flat. If you need a phone now, it is the best option on the market in this price range. If you can wait... there will be more faster, better phones in the future. Let's wait for a week and check what vendors can offer us.

  • The front camera works just great, specially with the hand function for automate the selfies. The pics are crisp and in general not the best but very decent.

  • Hi everybody My phone is h955 with android 5.1.1 and v15a-EUR (german) and i bought from iran. The new version for update via ota is v15c and 298 mb .is it safe for update with wifi or not ? Because somebody that updated their phone of 5.0.1 to 5.1.1 faced the problem and their phone was stoped on lg logo in my country.   • Yes, it has a protective case, but offer is not so wide. You can check ebay. There is original LG Circle case. I have one and I can recommend that. It is very nice high quality case and with integrated Circle functionality, it replaces original back cover, so it does not extra bulk to the phone. There are only two colors Red and Grey and back is still glossy. LG case a bit more expensive than other cases, I think it is worth it. You can apply a skin on that, but I left it as it is. You can easily put red case on grey phone, looks good.

  • Battery life is 2 days (day 1 morning, day 2 evening) with moderate usage, 1 day with heavy usage. Camera is good daylight, so-so with low light. It has LG G3 camera, check this article. LG fixed overheating issues, but is the same SD810. Even warm it is faster than cooled SD801 or SD615 I think. Grab it or wait for SD820 and LG G5 or Samsung S7.

  • I just bought this phone and I want to say that I'm really imprest. This phone is really fast, no lagging problems, it downloads and updates apps really fast. The screen is huge, cam quality is awesome, even the 2.1 MP front camera is good. And the battery is great too. It can last at least 24h for me, and I'm amazed that it charges only 1,5-2h for me!!! So this phone is awesome and you should totally buy it!

  • Choices, choices, choices... that's one of my biggest problems when it comes to smartphones and that's why i have multiple phones because there are just too many awesome phones in the market. Anyway, if you really have to choose one i would say buy Flex 2. It's the most unique of those you mentioned but also powerful with SD810 and with 5.1.1 phone doesn't overheat like it used to before the update. LG G4 has best screen resolution but i think its also the most expensive (depends where you live). Nexus has the best software support as it's supported directly by Google. Xperia Z3's glass design is not for everyone and it's the most fragile of those 4 because of that but Sony is well known for it's software support and good quality. Really hard to choose, i agree and i would buy 2 of them but if you can't afford or just need one phone, go for Flex 2 :)

  • I've had my Flex 2 for about a month and i can tell you that i absolutely love this phone. I've had iPhones, LG's, and Samsung. This is by far the best phone that i have ever had.   • kopi78, yes, unfortunately price is an important factor, I wish it is not. If you want samsung I recommend to wait for Samsung releases S7 (next month maybe), then S6 will be cheaper probably and the difference between S6/S7 should not be big. I had a chance to Flex 2 with S6 edge a little bit several weeks before: -both screens seemed sharp -S6 looked brighter (whites are whiter), if you compare side by side. But it appeared that if you switch off brightness auto adjustment and set maximum brightness Flex 2 looked on par. I don't know if S6 was in manual mode or automatic, sorry. I think Samsung's AMOLED is better but Flex 2 is not far. You can check gsmarena review for that. The owner of S6 edge complained on low battery life with S6 max 1 day, but he is heavy user though. Flex 2 screen is from the same OLED department - I confirm that contrast is great, black is pitch black and colors are vivid. There are some settings to adjust screen colours, but Flex 2 is not so accurate in this department according to tests. Anyway I can't see the difference by the naked eye.

  • I have G Flex 2 nearly 1 month and here goes my feedback. Overall performance is great, sound quality is very good and loud for both internal and external speakers and it also has good microphone. Volume and power button placement is not an issue for me as mostly knock on feature is used. It's even quite handy that perimeter of phone has no buttons at all. Screen is grainy, that's true, especially in low brightness. Besides that, it really makes very "noisy" grey tones. Actually this could be an issue for some people, that's why I recommend to study thread on xda developer forum about this issue. Every bad thing you find there is true. On the other hand, on daily use, when you look at the screen w/o counting pixels, colors are not bad at all and overall impression is positive. Curved design is acceptable and all the people to whom I gave the phone confirmed that it feels very ergonomic in hand. Apps on the phone run smoothly, no complains about that part (I have 2GB/16GB version). The phone is not loaded full of useless apps, that's positive as well. Web browsing is lightning fast by using 4G or WiFi. Miracast or WiDi works perfectly for the photos and videos even with my Samsung TV :) Top 3 things I didn't like from basic features: 1.European version of the phone (H955) comes with no call recorder built in (Korean version has it). Luckily I found free and good app in play store for this purpose. 2.Notification sound once you have charged the phone. As I was charging it overnight next to my bed, I wasn't very happy with that. In settings there are no option to turn it off, so the only way to get rid of it is by turning off sounds of system notifications in general. That is what I did. 3.Notification LED for missed calls and messages - the LED is there, but it blinks once per 12 seconds what means that you have to stare at phone pretty much to see haven't you missed something or use glance screen what is not always handy. Heating - no heating at all on daily use (calls, web-browsing, e-mails). It heated up a bit once I took it brand new out of the box and did all the updates (including Android 5.1.1). After a while I installed NOVA3 and World of Tanks games, just to check the heating issue (I am not a gamer at all). With NOVA3 it became pretty warm, but not hot. With WoT it became really hot - around the main camera and opposite side on the screen. Yes, it was hot. I don't have experience what happens with other phones if you playing games like this, so I can't comment whether level of heat is acceptable or not. Battery life - first few days with heavy installations and usage of phone it worked for 1 day. If it is mainly used for calls, few emails, reminders, it can survive 3 days for sure. Web browsing consumes pretty much of battery (because of display), so for me the phone usually lasts 2 full days. One of the most consuming backgroud app for me is Exchange email. I don't use FB and Twitter. Camera. That was one of the reasons why I chose this phone based on the reviews on the Internet. Camera doesn't have manual controls, but it has OIS and very fast autofocus - that all is there and work accordingly. So far I am not very satisfied with quality of pictures and videos. They are not bad, but it seems that I was hoping for a bit better performance, especially on taking photos. Good point is that it has good microphone and sound in videos actually is better than on my Full HD camcorder. Certainly it has even more apps and features like built in IR remote control, NFC etc. Up to now I am pleased with general performance of the phone, keeping in mind price I've paid for it. I am not sure should I have to upgrade it to Android 6.0 in future as currently it runs very well.

  • I have two friends one with Xperia Z3 one with Flex 2. I can ask and compare. What do you want to know? You are right, both phones has pros and cons, there is no clear winner. -Z3 is more fragile - both front and back glass cracked after the first drop. You probably want to wear a case, so premium feel is on paper only. But there are more nice cases for Sony than for LG Flex 2 on the other hand. -You can choose design yourself. I like how Z3 looks and feels without a case, yes, it feels premium, but I like curved design of Flex 2 and don't like glossy plastic. Winner Z3 with no case, Tie if case is used. -CPU is better in Flex 2, 20nm vs 28nm, more raw power. Both phones like to become warm. I feel Z3 is warmer a little bit -Display: Flex2 has OLED - best contrast and viewing angles. Color accuracy is not great on both phones. Flex2 has Pentile, if it is a problem for you on 1080p display - Z3 is a better choice. Z3 is brighter, Flex2 has better sunlight contrast according to GSMarena -Software: I like Sony skin better cause it is closer to stock Android. But I can confirm that after recent update that there are no lags/reboots/overheating with Flex2 -Camera: Flex2 has OIS, Z3 has better Mpix. I heard that Flex2 camera is good with good light and so-so in dark conditions. I think that 13-16Mpix is more than enough, each photo takes more space and you will never resize them in real life. Check GSMarena camera test. Flex2 has camera from LG G3, Z3 camera is closer to Z2 in the test probably. If camera is important check Samsung S6 or LG G4, both are better performers. -Price: Z3 costs around 380eur and LG Flex2 250eur in my country.

  • Depends on what you want to do with the phone. If you are into light gaming, this phone has the best bang for your buck.

  • I have 2G/16Gb version with 64Gb sdcard. The phone is not perfect, it can be better. I would prefer LG G4 over G Flex 2 because of leather back, better camera and mainstream model, but the price of LG G Flex 2 is amazing. There is no real competitor with this price, chinese brands maybe, but I'm not sure about software quality of chinese phones. If you can wait for a year (when prices come down), you can do that and wait for SD820, fingerprint scanner, better camera, USB type-c, etc. But for now, this is the best option for the buck. Again, I don't play games, but currently I see no signs of overheating. No lags. LG G Flex 2 has interesting speaker - you can't really mute it with your hand, sound loudness is almost the same level if you close speaker hole on the back, in contrast to iPhone for example. Battery life with heavy usage - 1 day. Moderate usage - 2 days. Still don't like glossy construction, prefer Nexus 5 like plastic, but do like curved design, I find it really nice (personal preference). I always say: if you want to use a case with your phone it does not matter what material your phone is made of. I hope for durability of LG G Flex 2 cause it has curved screen by design and should survive better if dropped. I think LG V10 (with more durable screen) is the right direction. Nick

  • Yes it is the 32gb But it only has 2gb of rams (which is more than enough) because it is a Korean Model.

  • the LG G Flex 2 will heat much when using 3g and LTE Data, It also heats up in the usual type when playing heavy games like others phone do. So its better to use wifi than 3g data. If you pud a jelly case on it, you wont notice the overheating

  • I was scared of buying this phone due to glitches of SD810.. however I bought with lollipo with 5.0.1 which was disaster with hot and lag issues. finally same day i received 5.1.1 update and now there is no lag and no problem of hot/throttling. I really like the screen and curve size. Screen brightness is better than G3. Phone is very fast i checked with Moto x play and Mi4 ... these phone were much away from LG G flex in terms of speed and multitasking.

  • Just bought it for my girlfriend. The phone is amazing. For that price it is the best option on the market. Good: 1. Nice curved design. "Think different" (c) don't use mainstream soap brick design of iPhone 6x/Xiaomi/HTC A9/Lenovo/etc 2. POLED screen is good. If you look uncomfortably close and search for Pentile effect you can see it. Picture is absolutely clear and with great contrast in real life. 3. 5.5" screen is not so huge I thought, it feels like a good size for browsing/chat (I have "small" iPhone 5). If you feel you chat more than talk, don't be afraid of 5.x" phones! 4. Double tap to unlock works very well, you don't need to use power button. I'm not a fan of power button placement. With this big phone you put your index finger right on that power button. It is easy to adjust volume during call, I would say even better than classic placement, but I find it is more difficult to adjust volume watching videos or finding power button to lock phone while holding phone in landscape for example. 4. Battery lasts 2 days with moderate use, better than iPhone, but not excellent. Very good standby time, dropped 0% during night. It has fast charger included and it charges fast. 5. Snapdragon 810 runs good in real life scenarios. No lags, no overheating. I don't play games. It gets warmer while shooting 4k videos. I would say it is not perfect and you should wait for SD820, but for that price this the best you can get. Bad: 1. Selfhealing back cover does not really work. The back scratches easy and does not heal. 2. I don't like glossy plastic. It is NOT fingerprint magnet like black LG G2, but I would prefer different material. The phone looks nice while new though. 3. It is difficult to get a good case. Can anybody recommend one? Original LG Circle case is quite expensive and still glossy. 4. You need to buy a good/fast micro SD card. Slow sd card, can slow down the phone. I would say microSD card is a must have for a tablet, but I think fast internal memory is a better option for a phone. 5. Low light fotos/video could be better. I made a small test between Flex 2 and iPhone 5. I would say both cameras are not great in low light, G Flex 2 camera has a little bit more noise, but better focus. iPhone 5 shoots faster, you can shoot one after another, LG is slower if it is not in burst mode. Looks like iPhone does not really care about focusing, while LG tries to refocus after each shot. I tried to highlight bad things. Currently I'm really happy with LG G Flex 2.

  • I gave a Flex 2 to my girlfriend for Christmas, and we are both very pleased with this Phone. It´s a pleasure to use, specially because she had a insanely enerving Samsung Grand Prime prior to this. Double tab to wake and to sleep works great, the speaker is good, app and android runs pretty quick, even dough it´s full of features, and the best part, It was less the €300 for an one year old Flagship phone. All those nasty afirmations about Snapdragon 810 heating problems just helped to put the price down, and I cannot see this issue happening here. I have a Nexus 6 (cyanogenmod), and I am kind a jealous of her now. ;)

  • No, more than 2 GB is not a loss of money, for smartphones - the more RAM you have the better the performance of the phone is. The amount of RAM is actually much more important than a faster CPU/GPU for most users. Unless of course you're just using your smartphone to play games, then RAM is not so important but you should focus for CPU/GPU, but for most peole RAM will be the first criteria, the problems is - it's just not that well marketed as cpu/gpu is...

  • It is very comfortable to use, the curve makes it easy to handle despite having a large screen and it hugs your cheek when your on a call.

  • Guys , on the new antutu benchmark updated i had 55.000 , almost like lg g4 , working nice , after playing like 1:30-2 hours it does overheat a little 38-40 C but it.s normal , this thing happened to all the phones so don't be scared if you wanna buy it, and after all this updates it.s working really nice 😊 Best buy ! Hope we will get android 6.0 , highly recommend the phone 😁

Screen resolution is not bad but is not 2k or 4k, Lg G3 and competion has it. Battery is big but could be better. All in all... looks great - iphone cattle people get amazed when they see it..., big screen for a compact phone, should be a flagship phone.... but lacks a few details.

  • The phone doesn't overheat too much but as with any phone with high intensity gaming it does warm up Other than that, with the new update, the phone is a beast

  • LG GFLEX 2 is a nice phone. The more I use it, the more I seem to like it. Battery backup is and performance is good and I like the curve which is quite comfortable to use and keep it in pocket. I think the curve phone is more ergonomically suited to human body. Also Android 6.0 upgrade is on the charts. Only issue I feel with 16 gb is that available memory is less than 8 gb, but it has micro sd card slot which covers it up to an extent

  • If your not a heavy gàmer I highly recommend this phone. It's really snappy .... Best bang for the buck IMHO ..... The only downside I see it there isn't any support from the modding community ... You're stuck with stock firmware , but fortunately i feel that android has matured quite a lot .... So stock firmware it pretty good as is. If your buying on eBay AT&T or sprint. But not using it on their network better check for LTE comparability first. I bought the AT&T version which fortunately LTE works on my local carrier. Bloatwares most easily disabled.

  • For heavy gamers i would not recommend this ... Battery life sucks for gaming. For light to moderate usage this phone is fantastic. Had this phone for 2weeks .... I'm not a heavy gamer so for me this phone is perfect .... Idle battery life is fantastic .... Moderate usage is OK too . but when gaming battery drains quite fast. The only thing I do not like about this phone is there is almost no support from the modder community ... No tweaked roms ... Locked bootloader.

  • The battery life is interesting. It barely seems to drop when I'm not doing anything. Before the update it seemed to drop for no reason. With usage it's moderate. If I'm texting on and off throughout the day, make a few calls and listen to about 3 hours a day of Audio books(thats to and from work), I'll still have about 40% left about 9pm. If I text and talk a bit more after I get home, I'll drop to in the 30% range. I charge occasionally during the day and can quickly get to or near full.

  • The phone is great after the 5.1.1 update. No overheating issues. No lag. Runs great. People who claim there is an overheating issue don't really have the phone. Also it's easily rooted and unrooted for future updating....go to xda to get root info. The phone is frequently under $300 and even down to $249 NEW on ebay for ATT model.

  • I got some issues from charging. It suddenly won't turn on after an overnight charge and also it was stuck at 88% charging before that. I thoght the phone is dead, but suddenly it boot up and everything is okay since then. Weird experience. Got an latest antutu score of 57000 plus in colder room temperature. Back is not that self healing for deep scratches but few scratches are unnoticeable. Also, the H959 model has no FM radio, too bad.

Lg was lagy lagyat all time and for a 810 snapdragon hasn't be lagy at all and Asus afther i do from boot manu delete memory cache the fhhone is 10 times better than Lg so my friend I suggest you to go back to Asus is way better

  • What versions of this device have an unlocked bootloader? As of it now, there is no way to unlock it, which means no way to root. Rooting the device is essential for me.

  • Hello, update is base on which company and version. l am using Asian version. So if u cannot update. Try go to LG smart world download DU Battery Saver. It can little help your phone. Remind u don't use more Battery Saver app at one phone.

  • I got this phone a few weeks ago and i can say it is incredibly AMAZING there are no heating or battery issues at all after the 5.1.1 update I got 55853 in Antutu benchmark , that's amazing I have up to 6 hours screen on time on heavy usage and can use it two days without charging Mine is 16GB/2GB Ram And I didn't face any problems in multitasking . 2GB ram is more than enough the screen colors are so beautiful and the included quad beats 2 is a work of art . the best choice I have ever made If anyone want to ask anything I would be happy to answer :) sorry if there is any Linguistic mistake

About all the heating questions i can say it's that after unboxing and first use i recived the update to 5.1.1 (955 version 16 gb 2gb ram) and no heating issues at all.Great Screen , Fast no lag , very smooth gaming experience.So if you considering buying this phone go 4 it .Sorry for bad english not my native language.

  • replaced my G flex with G flex 2 through on-line purchase back here in Pakistan, almost a week ago. this is a spectacular cell phone which lacks nothing from outside looks to hardware inside! unfortunately no accessories available back here like pouches and screen protector.

  • i have been using the g flex 2 for a couple of days now, and so far so good - no heating issues. But the battery life leave much to be desired (compared to my last phone: Xiaomi Mi3). i got the 2gb ram asian version because the european version with 3gb ram is not available here. price is almost then same with lg g3 so i opted for the more advanced processor and gpu, bought it at around $355. i tested the device with antutu and got a respectable score of 51699 :-) i just hope screen protector and casings are commonly available here in the philippines.

  • Guys Lg g flex2 really has a strong grafhic card & gpu--- I played asphalt 8 airborne (1.5gb in size)---it runs smoothly like butter---no lag，no heating issues----enjoyed a lot--- that is another proof against heating rumour and one more thing I noticed that the heavy files installed very quickly that shows much juice in snapdragon 810 processor. LG rocks ;)

And I saw here some negative Comments but I think the Phone is really SUPERB..my phone shiped with 5.1.1 update so I didnt faced the overheat before Update,but now it Run colder than my S4 (sometimes on Multitasking it gets little bit warm but not as near to the S4 )..It is incredible Fast Snapdragon 810 ,best screen with deep black. Attractive phone. I really Recomand this phone it is cheapest in market with this performance I bought 399eur (italy).. About the battery I will say just Ok. In Videoplay it is Verry good

  • I had the g flex 2 when it first came out, and indeed it did get seriously hot,so I got rid. A couple of months later and decided to try again with the new 5.1.1 update. So glad I did, still gets warm, but no more than any other phone, there's no lag and is super fast. Would definitely recommend.

  • I have the G Flex 2 and I have upgraded to Android 5.1.1 and I don't have any problems and it doesn't overheat, the phone is just works fine with me. And the screen is amazing it has deep blacks and bright colours.

  • i lost my trust in Snapdragon after heating rumors were actually true. if it was not true then why they are making a new version of the same chip, admit it and get back to work. Snapdragon is very overpriced, i think the flagship phone makers will now look towards Intel, mediatek for better processors

  • u can update to lollypop, i have lg g2 for my wife for 1.5 years now, recently updated to lollypop, and battery performance is similar, no major changes noticed, on the flip side , after update, now 4g is working on phone, which was previously not possible at all.

  • Mine never gets more than warm. It runs 5.1.1 and is clean and fast. I highly recommend this phone. It's beautiful

  • I've had my G flex 2 now for about a month and it is by far the most enjoyable phone I have ever used. It's my remote for all my TVs, it can get squashed in my pocket (and it has..severely) and it doesn't matter. Due to it's curve its screen is always facing into my leg when in my pocket, so it is protected, it has never lagged, the battery life is excellent, and the charge time is unbelievable, it weighs almost nothing, feels right in the hand and looks so good even my apple addicted friends are jealous. I love knock on to wake up the phone and the rear buttons are not only in the perfect place but you can also screenshot with one finger (nice). I will be keeping mine for a long, long time :).... mine is running 5.1.1 and never gets more than warm

  • Sorry if out of topic here .. i have lg g pro 2 (d838) and have notice to update lolipop size 650mb but i don't download it because many cons in forum that battery drain so fast after update lolipop so imo wise to stay on kitkat if you don't mind .. regards

  • yes i updated and it hv still the same problem i m using lg g flex 2 sprint ls996 cdma/gsm everything is good in this phone specially the valcano red (oh my god what i said it heats up to valcano heat) that's why lg named it valcono red because it heats up to valcano level-too hot to handle do not buy this phone it has internal hardware issue of heating very bad lg

  • LG Flex 2 H959 Singapore version got 5.1.1 updated by today.

  • I have the H959 model and I still have yet to receive it. I know the Koreon and Sprint variant did get it, but the H959 and AT&T version are still waiting for it.

  • Do not buy any LG mobiles. They are always EXTREMELY late in updates. I brought LG G Pro 2 which is LG's flagship device and still waiting for lollipop update. And their customer support do not even know there is a device named G pro 2! Do not buy if r concerned about software update. Do not always go with hardware specs.

  • Asian version (h959) 32gig have 2gig ram.but another version 32gig have 3gig ram

  • I've read in several forums that this phone comes with only 2GB of ram even for a 32GB internal memory units. Can someone verify whether we can get a 3GB model?

  • For those with no OTA update.. Connect your Flex 2 to computer, with usb cable, and install LG PC suit. You can then find the `check for the update` option and update.. That is all . :)
