A best phone, I've ever used. This phone with 1gb plays so heavy games that my 3GB phone couldn't even start. The War & Order and Coverfire (both are more that 1.10 GB games) are my favorite but this phone never left me diappointed. I recommend this phone for any one who can't afford a Flagship.....

I got my lg k7 June 1st 2016 it worked great had it maybe 3weeks before my husband rooted both mine and his after reading about rooting on google. He rooted them both sucessfully then a week later he bricked his phone. Mine was perfect til the day before me owning it for a year it just wouldnt turn back on how it keeps booting thru the LG boot loader then says error code 1003 modified anyway to fix this I still have it and want my rooted LG K7 BACK

I have been using this same phone for a little over a year and it's got everything to keep me happy. I'm not a gamer and I don't use a phone to watch videos. I take lord of pictures and this phone does an excellent job. Don't be discouraged by the negative reviews. . those people evidently seem to have more needs than a good phone. I only use my phone for actually calling people, pictures and texting. I love my phone.

I advised my friend to buy this phone, she wanted a cheap but robust phone. I helped her set it up and my first impressions are that this Phone is quite good. The display isn't great but the price is low. The soft edges are very nice and makes it a comfortable phone to hold.

My K7 does that with the volume, too sometimes when I have headphones plugged in. Moving the right-angle plug causes the volume to toggle up and down when watching YouTube vids. I try not to bump the headphone plug. Don't know why it does this, but I suspect it has something to do with the automatic volume lowering function when you plug in phones. Moving or turning the plug makes the phone think they're being plugged and unplugged rapidly. I'm guessing a straight headphone plug (less likely to turn than a right-angle one) might make the situation better. I'll try to find a solution to make the volume warning go away and post it here

Love my K7. Got two if them for free at the MetroPCS store with 2 lines for $50.00 per month. First battery it had discharged too quickly- store swapped battery from another K7. Good capacity and no problem since. Added a 32gb SD card and carrying around tons of movies and music vids. Rooted my K7 using Kingroot and got rid of all the unnecessary bloatware. Now I have room for my ported PC games and radio apps. Love the speed and pretty good graphics. No lag when playing ported DOS games. Sure I have to be mindful of internal storage space, but I use SD Maid to keep stuff in order. Good phone for the price. Put it in a tough case and it takes a knockin' and keeps on rockin'.

You can only transfer certain things. I have a 32gb SD card and it's almost completely empty while my tiny 8gb onboard constantly runs out of space and I have to delete apps. This phone sucks.

I've had this phone for almost a year with no problems. Not sure why everyone keeps complaining about the battery. I simply turn off wifi/data/Bluetooth when I'm not using them, and one battery charge lasted a 5-day camping trip, while taking pictures along the way. It does drain pretty fast when using data, etc., but it also charges very fast (like from 5% to 100% in about an hour with airplane mode on). It's storage is a little low, with not much room for apps, but an SD card expansion isn't that expensive. Overall, it's been a nice phone with few problems; and no problems that haven't been fixed by restarting.

Phone sucks man deserves a bad review the typing technology sucks and the reception sucks. You have to update it multiple times for things that should already be on there. If you got sense you would buy another phone you can get cheaper that's better then this. I think they even rummage on your phone. So, be careful with these.

Yes it goes to the google app screen and then my volume constantly toggles up and down. Its freaking annoying. It stopped doing it for a while and now its doing it again. This is literally the worst phone I've ever encountered. I had to return the first one I bought because the headphone jack stopped working properly, and worse it ruined a expensive pair of headphones. Unfortunately I decided to replace it with the same model like an idiot. Now its misbehaving again and its past the dates for me to return it and I don't have the money to buy another phone right now so I'm screwed....

Lolz. It does not get any better. I've had mine for a few months and the spell check has me wanting to throw my phone. It doesn't ever wanna autocorrect to contractions even though that is the most obvious thing in the world. And unlike iOS, if you accidentally type 2 words together it will never just autocorrect to the two words. The LG k7 has like a 1st grade education.

OMG!! Your experience is literally the exact same as mine. G4 died the same way and in a pinch I bought the K7. It does random signal drops even on WIFI. The chrome barely functions with the keyboard and most of FB posts are hard to do cause the keyboard won't stay or it just disappear. Can't load more than 4 apps, even with SD Card.

So I recently bought the K7 last month after the G4 gave me the defect of the whole boot loop where i can start up the phone but only be shown the start up screen with the mobile carrier logo and LG symbol but then black screen. I have to say this phone does suck and LG should start fixing their little defect problems because i cant seem to stay connected to my mobile carrier service and i get switched from 4g lte , to 4g, then 2g, and then searching for signal and sometimes no signal. My mobile carrier says my coverage is good . Has anyone experience this type of problem? if so what is your solution for this? thank you in advance.

I absolutely love this phone I've tried to update with the 3 new phones who did stand up to the quality and all the great things I've been able to do with this phone . I have been able to totally customized my ring tunes,save my music(most important) save my pictures just everything but after 1 1/2 it 's not holding a charge so now I have to either get a new battery or phone and unless the next phone can do all this does I'll stay with my LGK7

I ave used the K7 for a little over a year now, I did not purchase it, but when this one craps out like all phones do, I would 100% buy another one. Great sound, great price (love that $300 range), great camera, better than most iPhones which are acclaimed for their cameras even though the LG G-series kicks their tails, and best of all, it just works. It has great battery life, and you can always buy an upgraded battery from LG that fits the phone if you want. Brilliant. 10/10

This phone actually surprised me its cheap $89.99 works perfectly fine especially if you know how to understand this particular type of technology this cheap little phone works better than my iPhone 6+ the OS on LG k7 is very smooth especially if you are operating on a stable network WiFi ok battery ok photos ok I see everyone complaining about this phone like has everyone lost common sense lol if you don't clear your catch files delete your browser history cookies files etc it causes a loud on the ram flowers the proccesor speed think of it like pulling a moterhome with a mini cooper its too big of a load you have to be consistent with closing applications clearing browsing history etc clearing catch files and keeping up on updates I don't even care for androids and this cheap phone has changed that the lollipop OS isn't too bad I've noticed many of problems with the iPhone 6+ and that's loaded with a ton of Samsung parts and the iohone 7 even the screen is made by Samsung so don't always believe what some people say because they get paid to talk sht disinformation even YouTube is flawless on this cheepo phone its cool .

I bought this phone as a temporary hold over til the Note 7 came out. (Yeah I know what a disaster that was...) As a temp phone it worked fine, but it has major issues. 1. Very small internal storage and most of what it does have is taken up by the operating system. I had no pictures, no music and no games on this phone and I still was constantly running out of storage. To the point I could not even update my banking apps. I thought I could get around this by using a Micro SD card, but most apps would not load onto the external storage card. Not sure if this is a security thing with the apps or the fault of the phone. Either way it made the phone basically useless. 2. The camera is one of the worst I've ever used. It was very slow hard to manipulate and the pictures were so blurry to be pointless. It might as well not have a camera at all. Everything else about the phone was generally good. The screen was large and reasonably bright. I was able to surf the internet pretty well with it. But given how bad the camera is and how little storage space there is I would not recommend this phone for anyone unless it is only for temporary use and only if you get it very cheap. I would not even spent $50 for this phone.

This phone is among the worst I have ever had. It started out working fine; however, as each day passes, my experience with this phone has only worsened. I now compare it to the Samsung Note 7, and we all know what's happening with that model. The most angering thing that has happened is that it was necessary for me to turn on the Lock Screen Feature so I could temporarily download an app for a research project I was involved with. Now, the phone absolutely refuses to permit me to turn off the Lock Screen Feature. I do not currently have any need whatsoever to lock my phone at any time. Having to enter a pass code every time I use the phone for something. To be clear, I am NOT willing to perform a "hard reset" on my phone, for I would lose everything currently stored on the phone. Another major problem I am having is with the storage settings. I am using a SD Card, and have transferred all the apps I possibly could to the SD Card. However, for no apparent reason, apps will move from the SD Card back to the phone WITHOUT my having taken any action whatsoever. Furthermore, there are many apps that cannot be transferred to the SD Card. No one has yet been able to provide me with a sufficient reason as to why this fact exists. To me, this is unacceptable. This has created another problem, in that the phone memory daily sinks below 300kb. This is mostly due to Cached Data needing to be cleared. Worse still, on my phone, there is 3.18GB of Miscellaneous Data, that, so far, no one knows what to do with. Updating apps has become extremely problematic and honestly, as each day passes without gaining some ground on these issues, I literally hate this phone more and more every day. Before I bought this phone, I had the LG Leon, an equally bad phone. LG has long had a reputation for making quality merchandise that can be relied on for many years to come. However, with the K-7 and the Leon, LG completely missed the boat, making two of the worst phone models I have ever encountered. I am disabled and on an extremely fixed income. I cannot afford to buy a new phone, so I am stuck with what I consider to be a very bad phone. Metro PCS is juaat as ba, if not worse than the phone. When I am able to purchase another phone, I can promise two things, 1 I will NOT even consider LG phones, and 2 I will definitely be changing service providers.

I've had this phone for 1 month and I can press the bottom in the back 20 times and the phone screen won't come on so i can use it. I get phone calls and the screen wont light up so i can answer it. I'm in a domestic violence situation and i have my own apt now and my ex is trying to break in. I'm afraid to stay there because I could be in a serious emergency situation and I can't even call for help because the screen wont come on. If that wasn't an issue the phone seems great.

There actually IS a notification light. In your 'settings', under 'accessibility', click on the 'hearing' option. You'll see it there. =) hope it helps

Had it for about a month now and its a fairly good phone for the price, I recommend buying the unlocked version as the tmobile version has no internal fm receiver. The display quality isnt very detailed with its resolution but its very bright and colours are well saturated which compensates. Expect smaller picture to distance ratio with its mere 5mp rear camera, picture quality isnt that sharp, it tends more to the soft side and colors are again saturated. Internal space isnt enough, mine ran out in about a week. I rate 6.5 out of 10

Complete frustration! This phone constantly freezes sometimes I can't even unlock it I have to take the battery out completely for it to start working again. Screen rotation randomly works. And talk to text is horrible it makes up words that sound nothing like what I'm saying. Predictive text completely sucks. And very low storage which I find extremely annoying. you may need to root your phone... after that download a file explorer for rooted phone s(root browser is really good) then go to system folder wherever the sounds are located and rename the shutter sound file from .ogg to .bak that way you don't lose the file in case you need it back. I don't have the phone handy right now but will provide specific instructions once I have it... thanks

there's a way to eliminate the shutter sound, but it needs to be rooted... once rooted you can download root browser then go to system folder wherever the sounds are located in the phone and rename the camerashutter.ogg (or shutter.ogg) camerashutter.bak or shutter.bak (so that you don't lose it in case you want it back)... I'm sorry I don't have the phone with me now... will post further instructions when I have the phone handy...but it can be muted!! :)

I got this phone free for signing up with MetroPCS. So far it's great. I am amazed at the speed of the phone considering it has a low and processor. I can't tell much difference between its performance and the performance of my Galaxy S4 Mini. Haven't tried the camera yet but I cannot argue with the price. It seems to run all my apps and charges fine as far as I can tell. You can always buy an extra battery since these are user-replaceable.

I paid $250 for my LG Optimus in 2013..no storage space..this phone was only $80 and is outperforming my other LG in leaps and bounds! Battery life is amazing, it is VERY fast, easy to use, gives me 4x more storage than my $250 phone. If you want an inexpensive phone that works well, I highly suggest the K7. LG you are the best phone manufacturer when it comes to premium flagships (G3/G4, etc), however please exit from this small entry/mid-variant. You fail to understand this game...

Try a windows phone. Unlike Android, which I have also, you can store 99% of your apps on the sd card. For example, my Lumia 640 has 1gb ram, and 64gb sd card. I have over 300 apps installed, with over 600 mb still left on the phone ram. even with all those apps, the Lumia starts up fast, and runs fast. my Moto phone, I lucky to get 40-50 apps on it because Android has decided the majority of your apps has to be in ram. So unless you have tons of ram, you're out of luck.

This mobile has become my favorite mobile, it is not much expansive as well as having multiclass functions. it works very fast & smoothly (this is really faster than faster). I like this mobile LG K7.

I was unsure of sd card slot (dual) but i found located on top of sim card, again, why its called "dual". Heads up though, depending on brand of yur headphones, my cheaper skull candies n a cheapy $5 earpiece both soundef better then my BOSE headset, yaugh right, crazy but true. Try a variety. afa ev thg else works great. Could be an issue w/ your service, not phone. Also its not a computer, watch what u download and back up, dont store a ton of stuff on phone..

This phone is terrible, I had it for one month and it was running slowly and would not save anything to the sd card I had to manually move everything and even then I could not open my file manager. I took it to the store and they could not even figure out what was going on with it, I was in there for an hour while they were trying to fix it. The guy in the store actually said to me that this phone is a piece of crap and that I need to buy a different one he even suggested that I buy a phone from eBay because this phone is terrible

Got the LGK7 on April 6 2016 after metro employee talked me out of buying a ZTE version that was cheaper. I wished i listened to my gut and bought the ZTE. The LGK7 looks sleeker and expensive but its volume level is terrible when using it with headphones or outside speakers. Also the sound quality when speaking on the phone is not crystal clear but is scatchy and crackly. I had to contantly ask callers to repeat themselves or speak louder. I will never make this mistake again. NEVER

Wow, I just read through all the user reviews and i have to say, quite a lot of idiots. The LG K7 is a prime phone for the price range. You can't buy this phone or any phone at the low price range and expect the best phone on the market. Phone slowing down is due to people who have no idea about a phone and how it works. Basically, put too much on the phone it slows it down, not clearing out the cache also slows the phone down. If you power cycle your phone every other day that helps as well. Oh and using the phone like a computer and then complaining about the phone? Really? This phone is amazing to say the least. Here is what i have owned ok....HTC one mini, HTC M8, just to name 2 cause these are great phones. Now in comparing all 3 phones the LG K7 darn near rivals the HTC one mini and even keeps up with the HTC M8. HTC M8 was a great top of the line phone so yeah, yall saying negative things about the LG K7 are in need of a smartphone class, seriously. Ok listen to me please. If you are coming to metropcs GET THIS PHONE. DO NOT GET THE CORE PRIME. THIS IS WAY BETTER. The ppi is not as good as the prime but trust me. If you want a good phone get this. Its amazing for the price.just get a sd card and dont use up all the phones space or else it will slow down.Thats the same for all phones though. GET THIS PHONE.

The screen resolution is pretty low but surprisingly usable if you don't care about detailed photos. phone is brand new and every other day the screen freezes and I have to restart. The only deal breaker for me is the GPS. It almost never gives me a useable position.

Switched to metro yesterday and got the LG k7 for free...the phone is pretty laggy if you multi task, the vibration feedback on the keyboard is really weak, camera sucks besides the front cam (front cam is actually descent) takes long to charge. Can't figure out how to turn on the notification blinker, over all feel of the phone in my hand feels kinda cheap, I won't complain because it was free , however I will be calling today to try and get the service switched back on to my old galaxy s4... The S4 is 3 years older and runs 10x better in all aspects !!

So you get what you pay for. This phone for was 100 out the door with no contract. So do I miss my Apple phone yes I do was Android a system I like no not really but I'm getting used to it. At least this phones screen didn't break in my coat pocket in the otter case like my Iphone 5s did within the 1st month of having it. So all the carriers suck in my opinion but I didn't have to pay 400 for the phone and my bill is 30 a month compared to 110 with Sprint. So those of you who just say the phone is crap your entitled to your opinion but how about give us reasons why you feel that way. Is this a great phone NO but it is a good phone for the cost. Thats only my opinion.

If you paid $100 through Metro PCS yer a moron. It's only $50 after the rebates. BTW, my battery lasts forever. With Heavy use starting at 7AM, I still have over half my battery life left. HD Voice calling, video calling, Hospot, expandable memory, etc.... The res could be better, but overall is on par with my S5 from work. $50 vs $500....I will take that.

Paid $100 bucks cash for this phone. It is garbage in comparison to High end devices. Less sensors. (No ambient light sensor.) ?? The battery is terrible. Dies quick charges show. Processor is fast, ram could be better. For free its not bad. I paid for it and feel ripped off. No auto brightness because no light sensor.

The phone was free from Metro PCS with port in, and even for 100, put up against my wife's iPhone 6,and my best friend's Galaxy S 5, it keeps up just fine, so I am very satisfied, and kept a bunch of money in my pocket, because I went in to buy the S5 549.99 +tax.

I just got this phone as an early valentines day gift. I had the LG F60 prior and I actually really liked that phone. Switching tobthis phone I actually really love this one now. The downside is that there is no silent and you can't customize your texts like you could on the F60. Overall though the K7 has very good clear quality and takes pictures very well. I've always stuck to LG brands when it comes to androids. So the k7 is way better than the other LG brands I have had before. i.e The spirit, the LG Optimus, the LG l7 the motion, and yes even the fF60.

I just got this phone through Metro PCS. I LOVE IT!! I had another LG model before this one and it was much smaller and fell apart super fast. This phone keeps up with my demands and has a larger screen for easier viewing and larger keyboard for easier typing...LOVE IT. I would recommend everyone getting this phone I paid $90 for it and it has been well worth it.

I downgraded to this from a Samsung Galaxy S6. Very nice phone I must say, and for me it was free through Metro since I switched from another provider. The keyboard sucks, I replaced it with Google keyboard. The battery life is amazing once the launcher is replaced with Nano. Overall the battery life even stock is way better than my S6 with two battery savers running. The screen is very comfortable and natural due to tinted glass. Ram isn't much but it's sufficient with wise usage. Already dropped this phone a few times and not a scratch on it - it's tough. OS is close to defaults with some LG specific tweaks to the UI. Not really any bloat. The overall feel is similar to an HTC after the bloat has been stripped off. Great feedback function. Camera hates low light but otherwise sufficient. Speakers are all good. Actually sound overall outperforms my S6. I like this phone - it's the first $50 winner I've ever seen. We're finally seeing decent low end phones, that's great! Let's hope it keeps growing!

I just picked up 2 of these from Metro PCS for $50/ea. (Replaced Samsung Galaxy Light) I went in the store ready to get the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime. But after seeing this and comparing everything, this won out. Yes the rear camera and screen have better specs on the SGGP, but they were not a big enough difference for me to spend twice the price. Now if you are gonna compare to high end, yes, it will lose. BUT even tho the screen res is low, it is more than acceptable for my eyes. Which is all that should matter, ignore specs and go see and try out for yourself. I watched a movie on Vudu, looked fine...for a 5" screen. I like the bigger size vs my previous device which had a 4" screen. So far it is nice and smooth, no issues downloading a bunch of apps. Wish the WiFi was dual band as I have a dual band router, but still worked with no lag and pretty fast download speeds. Our old devices would stutter and lag at times and seemingly all the time whenever an app was updating or downloading. I have a Galaxy S5 for my job through my employer and this LG stands up pretty well against it. Let's be honest tho, at $50 there is really no risk involved in comparison to the $500+ phones. If I drop it, run over it, take it for a swim...big deal, it's $50. Try saying that with an iPhone or S6. So in closing, it has been great and I really do not regret the purchase.

Have you used it? People who go off specs make me laugh. I sat this down next to my friends galaxy s6. Load times, boot times, sound quality, app performance were almost indistinguishable. People go on and about retina. From the distance people use their phones at, barely distinguishable. Pics suck but I have a DV, and I'm only taken drunken selfies with a phone anyway. Keep letting people tell you you need a octo core. The software is governed! That's right Android OS even when rooted is governed! Which is why even rooted, over clocking a mobile device is a thing of the past and only causes masivee instability. Don't get me wrong this is a temp until I decide my next permanent phone but I'm impressed for $50. And I build custom gaming computers regularly. And my lady friend with a s6 who paid 350 with deposit and deductible was a bit bitter ha-ha.
