This phone is....okay...it's not terible, but it could be a lot better. First the phone is very quiet, when me and my friends are playing music i can't hear mine, the phone freezes alot, you have to spend a lot of time charging it, it lasts longer than 24 hours but still not brilliant, but one of the most annoyin things is that i can not find out how to change the phone to predicted text, but the camera is fine, but very yellow when your light is on, the controls are the easiest to use and it's very slow to turn on and its just not brilliant.

ive had this phone for over a year , the battery lasts about a day if you text and listen to music sometimes you need to charge it twice in a day. I wouldnt recomend it for being loud either it is a quiet phone my camera works perfectly though. No problems about that.I would say it is ok and give it 2and a half stars out of 5. i wasnt impressed as it is quite slow and doesnt accept themes.

@ Maha please man write normally so we can understand and reply. Its really hard to read and understand what you are saying. My wife has this phone for over a month now. Rumors about hanging up are not true. She talks about 40 minutes daily and never complained about her phone hanging up or restarting. Battery lasts 2-3 days which fits in the specifications margins. Overall its a good phone. You get 176x220 screen and 2 megapixel camera for a price of some other manufacturer low-end phone. Java works without problem, installed various games and apps. Glossy finish is nice, but as side effect leaves to many fingerprints that are clearly visible. The body is stiff and the slide works perfectly. It seems that LG has finally sorted out Java and bluetooth problems, they work as they are supposed to. Have transfered JAR files over bluetooth, USB Data Cable, downloaded online and the phone was happy to install and run them. You can finally send any file over bluetooth and it pairs with dongles and BT headsets flawlessly. You simply cannot find better phone for that price (including suspicious cect phones) and it certainly has my recommendation.

Place micro sd card into phone Remove micro sd card from phone Place into pc via adapter open sd card folder you should see the following folders: Images Sounds Videos Others Place what you want in the respective folders. If you dont see these folders when you place sd card in pc then redo the process.

Like the style of the phone very much, its easy to use - but the battery is very poor, have to charge constantlely, sound is very low cant hear texts or calls when in my bag. Cant use your own music as a text alert no choice here. Also had the problem like someone else I just read, that some of your contacts when they ring their name comes up as unknown! why is this also sometimes i have known the ringtone i have chosen has changed! and I have to reset it again quite a few dissapointments with this phone.

Thats not true I have one and I got it unlocked to my network and i also got charger for it. Try using a USB cable if your charger is not working. Cool phone i have no problems.

On my lg it no longer shows me my files , music, wdeos and photos and on my memory card it used to work but all of a sudden it just stopped working. And i know its there because when i check it on the pc its shows my file and im currently using on of the songs for alarm.

I have the phone for almost one year and I am pleased with it. Some features are the not at the level I expected them to be, but in my opinion it remains a good phone. Yes, the battery life is not it's best feature; as for the camera, you can't expect from a slim mobile phone to take National Geographic quality pictures.

Have had this phone for 2 months but i'm getting another. It has poor battery life and the reception stinks. Can't get my calls in my office. I'm being laughed at by my friend who owns a motorola C139 which gets better reception than my phone. Needless to say I laughed at him when he got the cheap phone. How embarrassing!!

i have just got the ke500 phone, after adding the softwear from the disc, I could not work out the sync system either, but if you plug in your phone via usb, go to my computer and go into the removable drive that your usb to linked too, this brings up folders marked images, sound,videos, others and games & apps. shrink that window, then go into my documents select your music or photo folder, this will bring up everything that you have the thoses folders, select a song and drag it over to the sound folder in your removable drive window that is already opened, then click on to that sound folder, and you should see that the song track now appears in your phone sound folder of your phone, this also can be done for images and videos, not sure about games as I did'nt have any to transfer over. hope this helps.

i got this phone at 10am this morning..its is now 6.30PM and i am STILL sitting at pc trying to work the sync thingy,,,i have windows XP and enough space on pc (as advised) and NOTHING ,the sync programme comes up but wont do anything,says its not connected to a phone when it IS,have tried two different USB leads have reinstalled programme about a million times,the so called help manual is awful its about as helpful as a teenage cashier at the supermarket...my son had an LG chocolate and he couldnt use the sync programme with that so worked out a way to do it without,now he cant remember !!!! this really is starting to make me want to go out and make all LG staff listen to the greatest hits of "busted"until their ears bleed,not impressed that i spent 70 quid on a phone i cant use properly gggrrr having said that i have the silver one and its pretty sexy looking,just wish i could do the sync thing

This is a real cool looking and sounding phone, however, do not make the mistake that I did and try to use it on a AT&T/ Cingular service unless you enjoy dropped calls and all the great frustration that comes along w/ having a busy network signal every time you try to make a call. Also after 8 days I still can not get nor receive picture messages...great phone as long as phone calls are not a priority.

Shame on you for having vista!! Who reads manuals now a days anyways. The phone is slick and the best one you can get for the price. USB and earphone jacks are proprietary... but at least it connects as a mass storage device to the PC.

aleksandar, yes it does. Go to Messaging > Settings > Text message > Delivery report and turn it on there. Do the same for Multimedia messages, just select Multimedia message instead of Text message.

I'm extremely dissapointed.I bought the LG KE 500 and in 2 days it froze. They replaced it in two weeks and it's been working fine up until now (it's been 2 months).I switched it off to charge it and when i switch it back on it freezes. LG should just stick making to fridges and microwaves.

I got one of these before Xmas and so far so good. Was a little worried about the battery life only being stated at around 3 days but I get 5 out of mine quite easliy. In reply to Mixtrixx below, the LG KG800 may have 128mb of memory compared to the KE500's 60mb but the KE500 has expandable memory whereas the LG KG800 doesn't.

Gorlfriend got one of these for Xmas. The phone in my opinion aint to bad, though the only gripe I have about it, is that you need small fingers to use the directional pad! Another downside is that it came with only 64MB of Memory!! Which is quite bad condisdering My LG KG800 Chocolate came with 128MB of Memory, yet it's a Year Older. You can install Music and Games to the Phone quite easily using the Data Cable Supplied and the LG Contents Bank Software, tho this was not included with the other LG Software on the Disc that Came with My GF's KE500.

I got the Silver Version and it is much nicer than the black, i bought this phone and i think its amazing but theres only one problem....the camera is so dark and i turned up the brightness and slash and its still very dark. Does anyone know hot to fix this....and yes i took the see throught plastic of the back :P

I personally love this phone, I have the black one so i do not know what the silver looks like. The only problem I have had with it was that I locked it and i couldn't turn it back on, but all they did at the store was switch my SIM Card. I love using it, it's one of the best phones I've had and I've had alot.

Im thinking of buying a at least a 2GB Micro SD card because that might solve the storage issue but still not entirely as the question is weather the phone itself can store phone numbers other than the SIM and/or MicroSD card.

After 2 days of research and with my limited $300 budget. I finally decided to get this one. Price is very good and features are way better than other brands along the same price range. I got one for $250 shipping cost included. Not bad! I tried Nokia, Motorola before. Its time that others get the share of my money.
