Great memories associated with this phone. My first smart phone way back when. Sold it off two years ago for dirt cheap, but now I feel I should have kept it, just for romming/rooting. Brilliant phone for its time, but the 512 RAM killed it, especially given ICS's bad RAM management. Was quite a looker (looks fresh even now). If you still use this phone, kudos to you.

This is the most strong and lasting smartphone I have ever used, I'm still using this phone for over 3-4years now, have never taken it to any technician until now that it developed charging point issue. The disgusting aspect of it is its slowness, it's very annoying. it's said to have 4GB internal storage but it's actually 2.(mine is 2GB but written 4gb in the manual)

I've been using this phone since my 1st year in college, now i'm in my 5th year and i'm still using it. Its more than 4 years now and i gotta say, its not the best phone, but not the worst either... there are certanly times that i get so frustrated about this phone coz its so slow,, but still it gets the job done. I have been using this phone for 4 and a half years and it is still going strong. If you guys are frustrated of its performance, then buying a new phone would be the most logical choice. There is an alternative, though not recommended, would be to use custom roms. My phone is running KK 4.4.4 with no problems (currently downloading a Marshmallow custom rom, woohoo!) and phone use (SMS, calls only) can last 10 days or more. And it is a really awesome music player. It may be a low-tier phone but it is definitely reliable and will probably take some time for it to kick the bucket.

Hey, this is not the best phone ever, but neither the worst. It's a decent phone with average functions. I've had this phone for about three and a half years and in this hole time it worked perfectly, but the use is starting to deteriorate it. Some little problems here and there, but no big issue. Anyways, it's not terrible, it works for what it's supposed to do, can run apps without any problem and is a very reliable device. If you know how to take care of your phone, this one is guaranteed to last. I'm very happy with it, and I will miss it since I'm changing it, but I'm still satisfied with LG.

Av been having this phone for now 2yrs and i have to say its a good phone, the only thing that probably many of us users fail to understand is that it has little space in the internal memory: total is 4GB but available is 2.something GB meaning if you install a lot of apps then definitely it will hung. better use its original charger for with it it charges faster and charge takes longer, mine takes 24hrs as at now having both sims on . Again its a strong phone mine has fallen several times until some of its sides are deformed but it still operates. However mine now complains of android not responding at certain times especially when i restart it i have to wait for like 15mins to be able to make a call. I believe that when these electronic smartphone gadgets gets older like 2yrs or so definitely they have to disturb a little becos of tares and wares both for software and hardware. Otherwise i've loved it although now i need a phone with larger storage, but i will keep using it as long as it accepts to continue serving me.

IT IS SOO BAD. DO NO BUY IT. My mother bought this phone 2 years ago, and she is not happy with it. First, it is so slow. It takes 3 or even 4 minutes to open the dealer app. Second, there are different bugs that you can not see on other phones. For example, ıf someone sends you a message while you are talking, phone reboots. After some point, you can not even call someone because this terrible devices has bugs that LG does not care about. After my mom used it, I saw that how LG forgets their phones. After 2 years LG just gave rubbish update. I hate LG. I call LG, went to services and it did not become better. Otherwise, it just became worst.

I had this phone over 1 year and miss this so much, despite the weak specs, the interface provided from LG is very well optimized, smooth and bug free to use everyday. the battery backup is good, many hours of screen-on in one charge. Yes for the price range that I bought it, this phone was better than samsung models like Galaxy Mini, S Duos, Ace.. sony miro, go and more. then I flashed the custom rom CM11 Kitkat and the phone was blazing fast and more smoother.

For me the best room is Caliban 2.7, you will need to root the phone in order to access the bootloader, if u change the software it will work great however it is not the best phone if u are going to use it for games, but for normal apps like FB, whatapp,twitter,etc

Note: for everyone that doesn't know, 3.5 jack audio does not support microphone. Only audio-out, not mic-in, but you still can use headphones with microphone to listen to music and stuff... Note 2: Installed a pre-rooted rom, and is way faster than original (4.0.3). Deleted all pre-installed (useless) apps and runs way better, battery actually lasts longer now for a "slow hardware" phone. Charging it every 5 or 6 days. If you're thinking of using the phone for games, skype, facebook, or apps like that, forget it. I use for small things, simple usefull everyday apps,phonecalls, texting, etc. Simple enough. For facebook, skype, games, etc, use a tablet.

I root my lg optimus l5, overclock it to 1.1 Ghz, installed greenify app to hibernate other apps i opened, and it works pretty fine, it's less laggy, and facebook app is fast enough. I play fun run and it's work also pretty fine. So you need to root your phone and get a better system like cyanogen mod.

I have this phone around 2 years. Sometimes when i unlock the screen i see my homescreen widgets 4 times on it but the notification bar and the wallpaper is OK. And when i exit the browser with the wallpaper does not fit the for half a second. I went to the place where i bought it they sent it twice but they told me there is nothing wrong with it use without SD Cart and apps but the problem was not fixed. I bought my L5 a year ago. I thought that it was an OK phone for its price range. Of course, you can only discover its real features when you use it. Battery life is OK as long as you're not using any apps which drags it down. Response time is not good. It usually lags. I find myself using Cleaner app almost all of the time to clean out cache and running processes which slow the phone down. Some apps, like Trivia Crack, are almost impossible to play because they hang. LG removed the option to move apps to SD, so heavy apps like WhatsApp take up most of internal storage. LG should review this, since installing one game will practically leave you without any free internal space. Screen sensibility is quite fine. The camera is OK for daylight pictures if both you and your target stay still for around 2 minutes when taking them. However, my old LG KP570 takes even pictures than this L5. The camera has a flash but I advise you against using it since pictures don't come out well. It's impossible to get a decent picture under poor lighting conditions. I try to get the most out of the phone by disabling unused predetermined apps like Maps, Facebook or games, which cannot be uninstalled. I do not recommend this phone unless you only use it for phone calls, sms and listening to music/radio.

for the price there's no phone with better camera than this L5. Sony Xperias and samsung with the same price or a little higher like Galaxy Fresh are more sh*t than LG L5 E610, and E610 came out in early 2012.. is LG a retard company ? LG is the first company without being associated with google is rolling KitKat for many newer lg mobiles with good prices and good specs, no sh*t mediatek's or broadcom's like samsung devices or some sony or some huawei.. I had L5 E610 and used others phones and E610 is better with features, gaming and heavy apps aren't for this phone. but for daily use like sms and calling it's more than enough and battery lasts near 10 hours of screen-on, nobody others competition phones with the same price has battery like this.. I bought new LG L7 II for 119� and I am very happy with it, best price and others competitions offer 150� or 200� for phones with ridiculous CPU or camera.. LG mobile is far one of the best, like LG L90 and G2 are best phones for it's price.. and Samsung offers same specs or a little weaker, but still more expensive.

After upgrading to 4.4 kitkat everything works like a charm , even memory allocation has improve making the device run faster than with any other android version previously. Can't complain now before with 4.1 it ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhahahhhhhh lag Even the chrome browser works great and google play music. So far no problems with app , battery or normal functionality

I have a LG Optimus L5 and I'm writing this comment with it. L5 is a Good Phone and it's durable. It was fallen few times but still doing it's job. Display sharpness is low but, it's enough to write and read an E Mail or watch a movie. Viewing angles are very poor. Earpiece sound quality is not enough but, it's it's louder to hold a conversation in a busy street. Microphone quality is good, no one complained me about it. Back Speaker is loud and clear. Sometimes it laggs, specially in Phone App. Swiping through home screens and other menus are smooth. Little Single Core Processor and RAM is not enough to watch HD movies or games, but it saves the battery well. Battery is enough to power up the device for two or three days with normal use. Camera is great with third party camera apps, colours are amazing. Build quality of the device is great. Device has no front facing camera to make video calls but, skyping with the back camera will work. I have a problem with the vibration after 2 months purchasing the phone and I still have. Digital Compass never showed me the right direction but my Optimus L3 E400 always did. Overall, it's a good phone for daily use.

guys now u can upgrade your os to 4.1.2 jelly bean.. u will have a high camera and picture quality with some new features like cheese shutter.. new polaris office 4, task manager and new file manager and.. new inbuilt apps like play book, play music, airdroid etc.. seperate brightness key and clear key in notification bar.. beautiful switch on/off buttons in settings.. good battery backup.. new wallpapers and ringtones.. sopports new apps which was never before.. just enjoy above all new features with your old optimus l5... I have been using them now for over 6 months. 1) File manager HD - allows you to move files from the internal sdcaSD to the external microSD abd back. Easy to use - great app. 2) WiFi file transfer - transfer any files (apps, pictures, videos etc.) to and from your PC. Start browser on PC, start WiFi file transfer and you can comfortably control transfers in a graphical user interface. This phone is the WORST I've ever owned. Yes, it looks good and it has all the latest technology, which would be awesome, if it would work right! I even tried to go back to my old free Alcatel phone I received on sign up but the battery was shot! After a few days of ownership, I took it back because it was acting CRAZY. Was told I probably has a virus or something from an app and the phone was reset. It was NOT a virus...it's just the phone. So, because I was leaving to go out of town for the remainder of the return period, I got stuck with this piece. Well, I can also spend my battery in 7 hours, but usually it last for one day and a half... I don't use 3G, and only use WiFi or 2G... Bluetooth, I seldom use... Basically, I connect to WiFi to download new apps or update old ones, browse, or send emails, use 2G to check urgent stuff, and play Battleloot and similar games... and the battery lasts for 1 - 1,5 days...

in theory is good deal, BUT, its a lame phone. Poor network reception where other phones even from lg have network, this one is out of service (same operator). GPS it takes forever to pinpoint and then its not very accurate. one of the worst investments i've made. hope you don't do the same If I may... I never had a problem with the reception, and I live in an area of poor reception. My wife has a Samsung and she has worst reception than me... Regarding the GPS, it all comes to where you usually use yours and where you last used it, and the sattelite coverage... But that's what AGPS is for... Besides, I don't use AGPS, and always get a signal in somewhere between 2-5 minutes, which is normal in this area... It always takes me where I need, and the only times it didn't was because the shop I needed to go had changed addresses... For me, it was one of the best investments I made, specially with the droid upgrade I just made, which made the phone faster... So, this is my opinion... P.S. - I used PC Suite to upgrade... My last entry was written by a colleague, disregard it please...

u can make this phone better by updating it to 4.1.2 and also u can solve the sd card problem to move apps on it by partitioning the sd card (google ''how to partition sd card'') there's also a kernel on xda developers to overclock your phone to 1.2 ghz, but the kernel is still in the beta version so i recommend to leave it for now i am using this phone for 2 months and the only thing i don't like is the display, it ruins my gaming experience :D everything else works perfectly fine :) peace

I am using this phone for more than a month and i must say that i hate the display its bad i don't like it :( but other stuff is pretty good and the phone is fast, especially if u upgrade the phone to cm10 and overclock the CPU to 1.2GHZ than its really great and it supports a lot of great HD games but the bad display (the only thing that i hate about the phone) ruins the quality of the HD games, also it has a big screen but the display ruins watching movies on the device... overall i am happy with this phone its good for its price... if it had a better display than life would be good (LG lol) :D

Guyz am sorry, it was my mistake. I inserted the sim incorrectly and made my phone to read it, which resulted in the problem " Reading from Sim". Now did a factory reset and inserted the sim in the right direction and it super good. Love you L5.

Using this phone since Aug'12. Now it shows a problem. Atleast 3 times in a day when I click on Contacts it shows " Reading from SIM" even though the contacts are displayed from phone memory , at the same moment the messages will be blank with white screen. Took it to LG service centre and they are not aware of this issue; however, they reloaded the software again but the problem not solved. Next month Jelly Bean will hit L5. Hope JB will make a difference.

So, I ended up buying this phone last April 12th... So far, so good... Battery life is really nice (when not using 3G). Got a couple of slowdowns while playing, and once, the messages didn't show me the senders... Considering the dungload of apps I've installed, what happened wasn't anything I wasn't expecting, so, I'm really enjoying the 4'' screen, the camera and especially the thinness of the phone, really fits nice in my hand.

Very good phone. Had if for 2 months already. Does the job perfectly. Battery life, about 3 days in normal usage. The CPU is great, moves better than the one on Optimus Black. This is the worst phone I've ever had!! It's slow at anything and it takes you 2 hours took look something up in the appstore! It's a nightmare to use the internet and I've had problems cause sometimes it won't do calls it looks like the one youre calling has his phone off or is not answering but in fact it's the phone doing weird stuff! People try to call me and it's like the phone is off but it's not. And don't let it fall cause even when it falls from I don't know your bed or a seat everything bursts out. The ONLY good thing is the battery. But I waisted my money on this crap.

It is fun when it works, but it is hell when it doesn't. I spent all day just trying to get it started. It takes 15 minutes to scan the micro SD 32 GB. Once it finally finishes, it keeps restarting and the scan starts again!!! It is impossible to do anything with the scan running in the background. I couldn't even unlock the screen by swiping my finger over 4 points--it only recognized 2-3 of the 4 points. Entering the pin code is also horrible. It takes several taps to recognize each digit, then it often repeats. Deleting the extra digits has similar non-responsive,lagging problem. It is a nightmare! Now I know why it was relatively inexpensive. It is crap.

i have this phone. its a really low end phone. tho it has the hardware of a Samsung galaxy ace, it performs poorly compared to the ace. i like the screen cuz its big, but is low resolution, so when you browse the web you have to pinch to zoom a lot. what is really disappointing its the camera! awful pictures, bad auto focus, its just bad! i think you can buy better phone for the price you pay for this

This phone is very disappointing. It freezes almost everytime a call someone and I cannot hang up - instead I have to take the battery out. It doesn't read the SIM card most of the time so I cannot find contacts. I will never purchase this brand again. Previous lg phone was no good, this phone is much worse. Going back to simple Samsung.

It is over all good... satisfying speed, ok battery, Very affordable, more freedom compared to apple, For example, you can take out the battery, put in micro sd, and you transfer stuff on and off without any problems or program... I don't know about you, but I do not like Itunes for apple stuff. cons: sometimes crashes, about the same as apple for crashing. It is a smart phone, so the battery lasts 1 or 2 days with medium use, compared to the old phones that last a week. BAD SCREEN quality. Over all, I love this phone... and I highly recomend it. It does a lot of stuff, and is very affordable.

Well, I've been using my ZTE Racer mainly for day-to-day apps (organizer, weather, and useful stuff such as ringtones, and whatnot) and Star Wars: The Old Republic useful apps... The only game I've played in the last months has been Drag Racing, though I'd be interested in playing Marvel Avengers Alliance (usually play it at home in Facebook) if it's available for Android... And maybe Urban Rivals... Those are the kind of games I play... As for social apps, I'm only subscribed in Facebook (at least for now) and I don't use it on my mobile since it's really slow in my little Racer, though I would use it in another phone... By the way, many thanks for the feedback! :)

The L5 is actually a pretty good phone compaired to some others in the exact same price range, its not a gaming phone, its a social phone, add social media apps such as Facebook and Twitter work fine on it, but games tend to lag and make the phone slower, by far its one of the best android phones with the least problems, and about the camera, its 5MP, fairly good, and it doesnt crash as much as anyother phone would... Its a good social phone, for both texting, calling and apps, just not a gaming phone...

Switch Off Data whever not needed, you can find it on notification bar. Change the Live wallpaper to simple dead wallpaper. Clear the cache, download cache cleaner. Clear background apps by long press menu key and swipe off the apps screens. Keep the brightness at the lowest- indoors. Only when you are out switch to next level of brightness, use the shortcut on notification bar.

I use this phone for browing only and am happy because it doesnn't switch off like Nokia phones. May be 2-3 times in past 7 months. The weather app sometimes freeze not sure why but once you resstart your phone it works fine. The phone does freeze some times but very rare. Calling needs proper improvement because the phone takes atleast 10 secs to dial a number. Planning to buy L5 II or F5.

i have seen many posts saying that applications cannot be moved to sd in this phone. please note that icecream sandwich or later android versions are not going to support moving the applications to sd card. it is an operating system restriction, not a phone restriction. you need to root your phone and use application like link2sd or app2sd to move the apps to sd after rooting.

guys... for real get a life... we always complain about the resolution of the phone... but what would you expect from its price range? in my own opinion the resolution is not bad for its price... great audio quality and good camera performance, though i must admit that the video quality is not that good when there is poor lighting. even the video light doesnt help that much.. you can move your files to external sd using polaris office and move "some" of the apps to the sd using apps to sd. i loved the music quality. even if your just using the standard headset. browsing using cellular data is super fast... well that can be depending on your network too. and yes... one thing i must EMPHASIZE is its battery life... i have used a lot of adroid before but for some reason even if they have the same 1500 mah. this phone tends to last longer. like yesterday. i wasnt able to fully charge it before i left. at 4 am the phone was at 87% listened to music almost the whole day... played games for about an hour. casual calling and more on sms. browsed for almost 4 hours and watch videos for an hour and a half, hang out with my friends after shift and did some cam shooting and when i got home at around 12 am i still have 9% left. now isnt that great. so what more could you ask for from a mid ranged phone. WE ALWAYS TEND TO LOOK FOR FAULTS THATS WHY WE CANT BE SATISFIED WITH WHAT WE HAVE. promlems and faults are always there. no matter where you go... it's just a matter of finding the solution. and hey... nobody insisted you to buy the phone. so dont blame LG. I started downloading different applications to help me move my apps and other files to SD card but nothing worked on this phone, Polaris office helped but only pictures, music and videos able to move to SD card.. As soon as you pick the phone out of box, you will love it. Once you switch ON, you will feel that you bought really a bad phone, with worst pixels, worst cam, viewing angles and so on. Then you got to install ucam, dolphine browser, aps to sd ( orange colour) , file manager, send to sd, lock. Then use this phone. In a week you will fall in love with this phone. I do accept that making a call is quite difficult as there is a delay in dialing. Good battery for sure. If you find better phone plz go for it. If you have alreadybought this one try using it using all the apps i recomended. It will be user friendly.

It's by no means a bad phone, but comparing to the Galaxy Nexus this one is super slow and low-res. Nowadays the price difference is not even that significant. Overall, it's a good phone. As a smart phone though, it'll satisfy you if you just wanna check your emails or browse a website. It has way too many options for my wife, so it suits her well, even if she decides to get nerdy. But for a hardcore geek like me, it just has too many let downs: camera quality, overall speed, super lo-res screen, no front camera for skype/hangouts... no jelly bean!

Standby is more than 2 Daysssss. Hardcore use is 6-8hours. The only problem is viewing angle, resolution is Ok, we will get used to it. Sound is awesome. Internet speed is also good on 2 G. 3G speedis super good. Cam OK.

Got the L5 e612, faster than I expected for single core but display is horrific. Spec here states 16mill true colour but colour banding is obvious. Viewing angle is ... well it's impossible to get a good viewing angle for the entire screen at once. White levels get crushed and black levels vary depending on view angle and position on screen.

I have had this phone for a month now and I'm really satisfied with this. Screen ppi isnt so bad as I thought, but my last phone was Nokia 5230 (that had 233 ppi I think) and I really can't see the difference. Performance isn't the worse also, usual games run without lag, only game I couldnt play is Temple run (but I have it on my ipod touch). Anyway, when you are still considering I'll suggest you to go for it, you can't get better than this in that price (I got that with 139�).

I bought this phone in Aug'12 since then I faced no tech issues with this phone. If you feel your phone hangs, then please change the live wallpaper that you are using. Change the wallpaper to another live wallpaper or any normal wallpaper. If not, it could be some app that is causing the problem. Make sure you clean your cache and also stop all the apps running in background for better battery life of 1.5 days. I use Dolphine browser to browse and Ucam fir photos, what ever it is cam is not as good as Nokia or samsung or motorola or iphones cam that is te only dissappointment. The phone does take nice pics if you patients to click. Really a good phone they should have improved the cam, viewing angle and the accelerometer. Peole not interested in L5 can buy ACE plus, that's a real good phone.

Try Airtel for better 3G experiance. I have checked. aircel, vodafone and airtel. The first 2 doesn't show network when switched to 3G but Airtel does and the internet speed is awesome. I feel 3G is better experienced in streaming videos. Looks like 2G and 3G has different signals. 2G is always full and 3G keep varying.

My phone lasts more than 2 days on normal use mine loaded with more than 50 apps and all the apps runs like a charm. for better camera clarity download ucam app and for playing videos download mx player app. every thing works fine and and i am loving it. the only problem is it doesn't capture hd videos. The only problem users might have is because of the phone size. the screen is the best part inside room,but in daylight viewing is difficult thats all. I am loving it......

the lg optimus l5 is a pretty decent phone for its range.it supports almost all the apps on google play other than those that require a lot of firepower like asphalt,nfs,gta and riptide.you can see the pixels of the phone.its a very good phone. the camera quality is nice. there is no problem with the 2g or 3g network connections.the only thing lg could have done is increase the resolution of the screen a bit.you can also have a look at the desirev or l7.

I have faced the same problem. Connect the phone to ur PC and open "Lg mobile support tool".Set your country and then Go to Customer Support-> Recovery Phone. Your phone will be updated again. Size of download will be around 300 mb. Hope it will work....as it worked for me...

Bought this phone 5 days back. Got a good deal 12.5K + Philips Head Set (MRP-1499) less Rs.500 for old LG Cookie 500. 2 things which I noticed is that in Android phones Message does not have folders like Recvd/Sent/Drafts etc hence less user friendly though its with all the Androids. 2nd- the recycle bin icon is not appearing if i want to remove an ikon from the home screen. So every time i need to delet the entire screen and customize a new one if i want to change. v Otherwise, 800Mhz processor is ok. Sound is not very high but ok. Camera Autofocus & flash is fine. Screen is big (actually biggest within this range of phones (bigger than even iphone 3). Looks even stylish with the flap cover.

Got this in white yesterday from cpw, nice looking phone with some good features, easy to use, colours of the screen have that washed out look and veiwing angels are terrible, camera is ok but the biggest drawback is how slow it performs! apps like facebook, twitter etc sometimes take ages to load and thats using wi-fi!. Its such a shame as i do like the design and LG's own spin on some of the features. Did a benchtest came out at a measly 2739 Score overall from me 7/10

LG Optimus L5 is the best value for your money. It is a fantastic phone for such a cheap price. You get a 4-inch screen which is unheard of in this price range. Most reviews are critical of the screen resolution (380 X 420) which is the SAME as the iPhone 3GS. Who cares? In fact, the so-called "low" screen resolution draws less energy from the battery, so it lasts longer. The 800 Mhz CPU is fine. Ok, it's not lightening fast like a dual-core 1.5 Mhz, but again, in this price range, WHO CARES? I own this phone and it's wonderful, it loads pages and renders them plenty fast for me and the 4" screen makes most people with the iPhone 4S jealous. It's a great phone and worth the money. PROS: LOW PRICE, BIG SCREEN, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (fantastic). CONS: Not as fast as a phone costing three-times as much. DUH.

I bought this phone and using it for 4 days. IT HAS A BELOW AVERAGE sound quality. Hollow and very poor and loudspeaker put in it is horrible. No sound filter. Sound quality is even poorer than LG cookie T300. Not in 100 miles near even Nokia Querty C3 business phone. Even worse than my 7 yrs old nokia FOLD phone 6061. All the other 3 phones i have show much much better sound quality which price Rs3000/4000 and Rs 6000 2/3/7 years ago. I wonder why in many review sites Sound quality is described as Good. The phone seemed to be slow initially but now that I have rooted, I am using rom toolbox pro. After using this its blazing fast! A superb display colors are just like amoled :-D the low ppi can be tackled by setting lcd density to 145:) use screen adjuster to reduce brightness to 75% now u won't believe the display is similar to Sony. Pple may not accept this but try for yourself:-D after over clocking battery backup 1.5 days:-P

Dear all, I have just bought L5 10 days back.I am just highlighting some plus and minus points of this set. plus points: 1.It has a 4inche screen which you can not get from any other good companies in this price. 2.It is user friendly, believe me this is my first android phone but I find very easy to handly this mobile. 3.sound quality is good and speaker is good, it is clearly audible when u r talking to somebody(if tower is ok).Although ear phone sound is not excellent but it is decent. 4.Al the android applications are supported no problem at all(HD games may cause problem).ICS4 and 800 MHz cortex makes the phone smooth. 5.Camera is good.It is providing a 5MP with LED flash in 190 EUR, really good. 6.Battery back up is not a issue. 100% charged battery if used moderately can give a 28 hour backup. minus points 1.The main drawback of this phone is 4" screen with a 144 ppi. That is why may be the display is not as good as sony or samsung. 2.No HD video recording and also there is problem in resolution while playing HD video. 3.No front camera. 4.Internet is not very first. 5.A little weighty and bigger for the regular pocket. But in my opinion in this price what lg is giving is better than enough.At least I am happy with my L5.Any further suggestion is welcome.

ya obviosly ace 2 is better Dan l5, but both are not worth for buying, 1)huge draw back of l5 is they have given only 800 mhz processor,camera could have been better,divx player available but hd video recording is missing,atleast 720p video recording has to b installed, 2)huge draw back of ace2 is only 800mhz processor,having hd video recording but divx player missing... both phone need 1ghz processor to run smooth... or else its waste of investment on those device

dear guys, my L5 model is just 3 weeks old. i changed from black berry 8520 to LG optimus 5. initially i found this very good but as my usage goes up i found the few issues like speed has come down drastically. i need to wait for 4 -6 seconds to open the page after the click . page rotation also works very slowly. someone who was watching me working in my cell commented that this phone is very slow. even the page rotation is slow. after waiting for sometime i use in portrait format instead of waiting for the screen to rotate. Battery backup is very very poor. i dont hear much songs or play games. i use for regular calls and emails with occational internet access. if this is corrected then this phone is value for money. camera quality is poor. and additionally the music player will start automatically once i plug the ear phone. the application has no provision to switch off. sad...myself.

I bought this phone to use at work. For a little under 200$(without contract) its a great buy. Yes the screen shades/fades when tilted, but cant really complian at the price. ICS 4 makes the phone run relatively smooth, lagging just a tiny bit sometimes. Overall i would rate it 7.5 out of 10, taking the price into consideration.

"fantastic resolution"? I don't think so... At this price range you can easily get 250 ppi or above, and the viewing angles are less than decent, a 45 degree viewing angle is enough to make it unbearable. Otherwise, this is a great phone

Miro should be better than L5. I thought of buying Miro but the launching date was far away from L5 and I had no smart phone for atleast a month so bought this one. If Miro was relased in August I would have bought Miro. It's a Fully loaded phone. But not as thin as L5 or stylish like L5 or as Big as L5

1. No, just a regular screen. 2. Speaker's volume is fine. Quality is quite good. 3. Calling quality is perfect. 4. Haven't had any issues with signal. What would be worth saying is that the stock ROM is a little bit slow. Scrolling through some menus (like settings menu) feels laggy because of input latency. Battery behaves well. That's one of the main reasons I bought the phone.

Ucam will resolve camera issue. Please Note. Rooting will loose your phone warrenty. Battery is better than any Android phones. When you browse battery drains faster, it's common in all phones. More over any Android phones battery last for only one day may be less but this phone has good stand by. Make sure the Data pack is off, live wallpapers are off, and stop all apps running in back ground by manually stopping it going to app setting, running apps.
