This phone is realy great phone.Reception is cool and pictures are ok.However, I can't hear the ringtone of in-coming calls directly from the earpiece of the headset, even though I can receive the call and hear the voice of the caller allright. Moreover, the call holding device on the mouthpiece does not function.Can anyone help me?

I brought LG U8380 cell phone in UK. Now, i am in Malaysia. I went to maxis centre to configure the setting so that i can use 3G line and receive colour wallpaper messages. After configured according to LG U8380 setting provided, i still unable to receive MMS messages and 3G services. I have had this fone for about one year now and have had it repaired three times!!! Reception problems, keypad not working, faulty front LCD screen. Not just my fone to my 2 mates have this phone to and have had it repaired too, stay away from this phone.

The zoom is good but it would be nice if a person couild zoom even closer - especially when taking photos. A nice tight shot of a flower is sometimes hard to get with a zoom of only 2.

for all those who cannot connect the phone to the computer: -first connect the phone to the pc using usb cable without installing the lg pc suite; -then the found new hardware icon in the system tray will appear. put the cd in the cd rom and install the drivers using the wizards instructions! - after that install pc suite and select the com port wich has an asterisc wich is selected by the pc as your conection to the phone. thats all! it should work! i had the same problem but i solved it like so!

DO u guys reli fink its dat good? i mean yea sure the sound system etc is pretty mad...but i found out dat the more stuff u put on the memory card the laggier the phone gets...and i mean very very laggy...like i put 15 songs on it? and it took my ages to type a txt..and its very hard for me coz like i txt alot and i txt fast...and it takes ages for u to open the file for the memory card...it lags the phone more if u put high resolution pics on it. and teh 1.3 mp camera isnt reli dat 1.3ish. Its very hard to adjust the the brightness and stuff. It also gets very very pixelated after zooming..but overall its alrite if ur not reli into dat much of entertainment (eventhough dis phone is marked an entertainment phone by lg) but i giv it high scores for its sound quality, even on speakers it reli gives u dat 3d sound like the e398 or the rokr's..

I got the LG U8380 in blue it is so cool, and i have $120 to spend each month so im havin heaps of fun with it. This phone is great if you like music because it has an expansion slot which can take up to 1 GIG of memory. It has the biggest external screen of any other phone and is so easy to read outdoors with 65K screen. You can also read messages without opening the phone. The internal screen offers a clear picture with a 256K colour screen. I like the phone. I like that LG is taking features from every company and tries to combine that features in a good,fine way. I think the best feature of him is music, i like his 3D sounds. His camera is not so very bad, i like that you can do pictures at 1280*960, but... at videos it has a (-). I've put some videos to him and the seeking is a little bit slow. It is a good phone !

You need to put the sim card in before you activate any phone. Commonsence! To use the webcam on this phone you need to be on 3 service. Its 3G to webcam. Currently your on 2G service with your phone company. This is a top phone with the Remote control its great. I store lots of family photos, lots of family videos with the ocasional naked girlfriend. But on Sounds I have music and my recorded conversations. if i dont have a pen to write down a number i record the conversation. And Games are great yes its a good phone.

Christie, Video confrencing is to see and talk to another person. Similar to web cam! You need to be on what they call 3G service the carrier that i know has it is 3. some countries dont have it a 3G service. You would be on a 2G service now in that case you can't use Video confrencing. hope that answers your question.

It's realy a good phone, but there are som things about it that i don't like such as: the camera when i take photos and after that when i download them on to the PC, the quality is poor. Maybe i don't know how to make the settings. Something else why the heak when i make a phonecall it's only rings one time and then its stops and the other person answers. With all of that is a very good phone, powerful, and good looking. And it's cost it is suportable. Bye Bye!!!

You can put games onto the phone by using a program called GThing, its the only way, but it costs $7. Secondly the drivers for the phone can be downloaded on LG's site.

Ayman, No there has been changes to the guts of the New LG phone no mater what is said, I know because i now own LGU8380. Within the 14 free day look period i had to change it. So my new exchange 8380 is here on Wednesday 26th oct. The triangle 3 button "service on my phone" is scrambled in both 2g area and 3g. So i know that the workings are different in these new 8380 phones. LG listern - Improve your phone look and add new stuff BUT DON'T change things that are perfect, Try using your phones more like myself the people who buy them.

I beleive the 8380 was not enhanced in an effective way. Its merely a facelift to the other LG 3G phons. I have an LG 8138, and im not sure how I can edit the MMS/WAP settings! When clicking on the field to input settings, it only allows numbers, but not text! Anyone knows how to change that; i.e. enter text??

Amanda,you have LG8138 a Great phone! i took out my sim from the New LG8380 compaired all LG phones side by side with my 8138 & 8110. I called 3 to complain about the service Beleive me when i say I click on "Triangle key" and both programs were different under 3 service. But LG is different E.g send a message - New 8380 takes longer to correct message before you send. I'm not a programer but they have changed the internal workings on 8380 for the worse. But you will notice the difference when you buy one. I guess in changing the camera location everything else inside is changed. Not impressed!!!! I may go back to using 8138 (and through this 8380 in the draw). Its funny When you change staff they need to change something even if its worse.

Hey Graham, you realise that downloading mp3s is set by ur service provider rather than the phone. Also, if you have an mp3 player, you'd have to get mp3s somehow anyway, this just gives you the option of using the service provider to get the mp3s. I currently have the 8138, and my videos last as long as my memory does.. so I don't really know what your talking about. I'm pretty sure you just need to set it to go longer. I guess I'm pretty happy with my phone, but I can't see that many things wrong with this phone. I think you need to just learn to use it better.. And calling alot.. doesn't particularly mean your a good phone critic..

If your a LG user You know! This phone is Different ( LG- Why change something that is Nearly perfect) The older 2005 LG mobile are nearlt perfect. ���� This Phone is worse!!!!!!! LG must have employed a new programer because the LG guts/Internal formate are different. They haven't improved things, Its worse I mean "How the user uses ther phone � e.g. sending messages is worse, Converting currency is stupid and they have left out US currency. Taking photos are complicated and worse,(((2005 phones older style is simply aim and click a much better quality picture)) The Video could be better on all LG Phones just going for 20 seconds. And to download real ringtones for 20 seconds for $5 is a rip off. To call this a MP3 player for 20 seconds of music is absolutly Not commonsence I've had this phone for 1 week - What do I like about this phone? thinking , ? ok the colour is nice, speakers are great. DEAR LG - go back to the old format! I use this phone 24/7 for Business & plesure I Spent $12,000 in 2004/5 financial year so I Know. gO Back to LGU8330 Internal formate, take LGU8380 Speakers & the new LGM4330 External Shape of the Porsche phone and your on your way to Perfection.

I love this phone. It's my first flip phone, and I loved it at first sight. The colour is beautiful, and it's nice a generally nice phone. It's annoying I can't change themes though. I can't work out how to put mp3's on, so if anyone has tips... The camera is positioned well (better then where it was on the other LG phones), but it's a little pixilated for me. Otherwise, I love it.

I recently got the Lg U8380 and as a 16 year old I find it very useful. I would of gone and bought an Mp3 player but it has one and a digital camera but it has one too. It is greta technology and it has a slot for expandable memory. The red is a very gorgeous colour and it is a very sexy design. The only thing I didnt like was the fact that you can not change the colour of the handset theme you can either have normal or disco that was a bummer because I dont like either. But overall thumbs up.

LG's because i like the LG guts for business,I now own LG8380 ordering over the phone, "I thought your suppose to improve things" I use the Unit converter to convert US Dollars TO EUROES etc - "Its worse" I use world time Its ok. Images seem worse! Anyway i'm stuck with it for 24 months - LG mobiles Board - Don't take it for granted that things are better because its New. Keep improving things

Hi i recently got this fone and very pleased ,phone functions are great pix are very clear from 1.3 megapixel camera & video camcorder better quality than lg U8138!.Luv the the large bright 262k TFT colour screens & the rest of the features! GET IT its worth its value ($429)AUS at 3 shops.NOTE video calls can be a little un clear(fussy) at times. another thing the cam flash is alsome works brilliantly better than most other phones & no probs with this lg U8380.

This phone appears to have surround sound. I don't get LG, I mean, this phone is almost exactly the same as the 8360, except it's bigger, theres 2 cameras and it has surround sound. I think it's time LG considered a different template for it's phones.
