Meizu Pro 6 Plus - User Reviews

  • Meizu are the only phone manufacturer who have used Snapdragon, Exynos and Helio processors in their phones.

  • Exynos and Super Amoled display ????!!!!!! How ??? Exynos and Super Amoled display are only to Samaung ???!!!!

  • Chinese version might get Oreo but not global ROM.

  • Looks like this will never get Oreo as Google is blocking uncertified devices from using Google Play and Google Services from Oreo onwards.

  • NFC has been enable in global ROM now so Google Pay might work, although maybe not if device is not certified.

  • This phone is not Google Certified and should not have been sold outside of China. Yes you can install Google Play but even after setting all the right permissions there are still problems with syncing, games closing etc. Google Pay doesn't work and as other people have said the GPS is terrible, doesn't seem to work indoors at all. Also no Band 20. It's also very wide, no good for people with smaller hands. Apparently Meizu has now got an agreement with Google and their newer phones will be certified but this one never will be.

  • The GPS/location is terrible. 30 dolars smartphones has better Gps than this phone. The rest is excelent.

  • can i use google camera apk in flyme 7 ?

  • try to allow app that you want to get notifications from work in background

  • YES.I am using it.

  • I don't get notifications from any application except WhatsApp, fb, Instagram. Apps like gmail (those with important notifications) do not notify me, although I turned all the notifications on from the settings of the app and general settings. Any thoughts?

  • for less than 200$ "meizu pro 6 plus" better than "xiaomi redmi note 5 AI dual camera" ?

  • Answering to many people with android updates doubts: The smarthphone uses a company's version of android named flyme os. This phone started with flyme os 6 (based on android marshmallow) but it is now getting the update to flyme os 7 (based on android nougat). The official site already has the link to download it if your phone is not getting the update: Expect flyme os 8 (based on android oreo) to be released in around 1 year time (August 2019) has the flyme os is always 1 year behind the android version release but it's very well optimized.

  • The dedicated company's software is always 1 generation of android OS behind but it's pretty well optimized. The Flyme OS 7 (based on Android 7 Nougat) is coming out now (August 2018) in this phone. You can check out the oficial site if your phone is not getting the update automatically:

  • How you did it? Can you send me the link for the tutorial ?

  • Go Settings>Fingerprint & Security>App lock, then scroll down to Camera and UNTICK the circle infront of the Camera.

  • How to get Android 8, any help?

  • Yes, this model suports OTG.

  • Good Stuff. Can you tell me where you got the Chinese firmware from, was it from the Flyme website ?

  • Hello Meizu Pro 6 Plus users, does it support USB OTG?

  • Got my Pro 6 Plus yesterday. The build quality and in hand feel of this phone is fantastic. Ditched the global firmware, installed 6.01 chinse firmware and then updated to Flyme 7 Beta. I must say that this version of flyme is very nice. Smoother and better looking than Flyme 6. I also like the face unlock feature.

  • Camera can not be opened without writing password, how can I solve that?

  • what update to android 8.0 or no?

  • this phone still stuck with Android 6?

  • Meizu company plz u need update software nougat or oreo update in pro 6 plus and new features

  • Support hdmi out.mhl?

  • 2 week points need to improve: 1.Very weak GPS/location 2.No NFC for Global firmware,WTF The rest are good.

  • nid time to wait android 7.0 or 8.0 for global set .. if it not android 7.0 than u cant use ??? ==""""

  • im usong this phone...wat can i say is...this phone is superb than s7 edge o other xiomi phone...realy love dis phone...im using s7 edge b4,,i like dis phone more...no heat issue...no lag...smooth

  • Is Pro 6 Plus supporting global LTE frequencies, including B20?

  • How does the audio sound over the headphones?

  • So your phone is flyme 6 with android 7.0 or 6.0?

  • Just got this sweet device. It's pretty good. It's my first time using FlyMe OS skin. I must say it's very smooth and fluid. Switch between apps flawlessly. The battery is also good. It'll get you through the day no problem, the battery doesn't drain that much even when in standby mode. The aod feature is also welcome. The camera is quite lovely but it won't be beating against the ip7 plus or S8 anytime soon. The design also has that premium feel to it, speaker is loud enough. Overall I'm happy with this. Thumbs up Meizu. Hope you'll stick to Exynos or snapdragon, the 8890 in this performs well.

  • What kind of screen does this cellphone have? Gorilla glass

  • Is anyone using Meiza Pro 6 Plus now? I was thinking of buying this & use it in Canada..I've used Xiaomi..I wouldn't mind getting Samsung Galaxy S8 but it's very expensive...there's been lots of problems on S7 with my Network Carrier.

  • Go for Pro 6. Exynos 8890 is more powerful than Snapdragon 821. The ZUI on ZUK is plagued with software bugs, better avoid it.

  • Can't choose between the Pro 6 plus and the ZUK Edge...

  • The slightly older flyme OS had a root option in the settings, so I guess if you load the older meizu rom you'd have the root option :)

  • So has the Pro 6 series of phones received Nougat? It was supposed to leave happened at the end of December.

  • Its a Samsung practically with a Chinese ROM & some other bits g pieces taken from I phone like stupid 3d touch. Slightly tuned down exynos chip. Be good to see if they can get root ability to rewrite imei numbers on my note 7 as its same SOC.

  • No

  • Decent processor. No NA LTE band compatibility. Business as usual for Meizu.

  • What happened to specification section? Price and battery test results have gone. Is this a new method to force people to read full review??

  • What happened with the full review? You said its in the works

  • do you know about display protection of this phone ?

  • What about battery life?

  • Always the missing options and then, pro, s, plus, plus+s and then what?????? Plain stupid engineers at work in meizu.

  • you know i have recently had this phone..ITs without a sd slot..it may be a problem but the exynos chipset, great camera and other features make up for it..its highly recommended for gamers too!!

  • Samsung spec copy

  • the phone is latest latest latest technology.but honor magic

  • good look....but honor magic.

  • I thank so

  • Exynos ✅ Super AMOLED ✅ Full Sensors ✅ Then I see Marshmallow and a 3400 mAh. Lmao

  • Argghhh. What is this.?!? We record 4k videos, downloading games etc. And there is no a sf card slot. I would choose helio x25 for less money. I use helio p10 snd i am so happy with it. X25 would be great and larger battery. On pro models. There is never a sd card slot. Hybrid is better choice. Will be waiting for thw next one

  • Is Pro 6 Plus supporting global LTE frequencies, including B20?

  • Yes. It has gorilla glass 4.

  • FYI meizu hired the person who used to design first to 4th gen ios UI. Cant remember her name, but google is friend my friend. Im using xiaimi atm and what im about to say may not be popular here but it seems flyme is more fluid and efficient than xiaomi atm. I havent use a meizu fon, only Flyme Rom installed in my xiaomi. But my next fon is definitely a meizu, just waiting for the review of this fon. If its not impressive, then im going for pro5.

  • have display protection ?

  • I don't get how more ram and Rom makes the CPU more over clocked. It seems like a bad idea though since I want faster speeds yet i don't want to spend extra money for more Rom that I might not need

  • flyme os is definitely different from ios

  • 4cores customized of cortex-A72 by samsung

  • What is Mongoose...the CPU platform...

  • So is EMUI, but Meizu isnt exactly the glorified brand that attracts the Chinese market very much, so they shouldnt have much "cash" to develop theyr software? Well who knows honestly, but Xiaomi, OnePlus, Oppo and more than definetly Huawei have a lot, lot more money to invest into getting the software efficient and fluid, looking like IOS yet keeping Android at bay. Guess its just a waiting time then.

  • Why do you hate flyme? I mean, it's just similar to ios

  • Instead they use power efficient Exynos chips.

  • You obviously have not owned a Pro 5.

  • good ,excellent

  • Flagship from Meizu

  • Ah finally Samsung chipset.it Will have better battery life.

  • For me it's the least prefered phone because it has flyme ui(i hate it very much)!!!

  • Look like Huawie mate 8 back design Battery should be atleast 4000mah Meziu uses 4000-4100mah for mid-range phones But for flagship 3400mah for QHD display???

  • Please read review of Meizu pro 5. A perfect smartphone which proves that on paper specs may come true!

  • 1.Less money 2.bigger screen 3.all metal 3.3D touch 4.better sound 5.USB type C + For someone maybe flyme os

  • Why take this when you have the Galaxy S7 series?

  • What? An edgeless Galaxy Note 7?

  • ........... (Was gonna use the Kirin 960 and Samsung wanted to make theyr cpu exclusive to the Galaxies story very true now, uh?) Bet it flies tough in daily operation, but, its display brightness, software and battery life may be disapointing. The results are never as straightforward as specifications on paper and if we all should know one thing is that, numbers never provide the results we hoped for sadly.

  • Meizu Pro 6 Plus Specification and Officials with Exynos 8890 Soc, QHD Panel

  • samsung chipset ??

  • please add display protection , many sites say that have corning gorilla glass 4

  • That is one terrible camera hardware........

  • Finally, meizu using exynos soc again!
