I would say the same in fact.. The keypad is one thing tat was so amazing, u feel wat u were getting on n the sound of the device the stereo sound is awesome.. Moto is still my choice to this day, still the innovator no matter wat. They would create something new, release it in market with no publication. But soon you will see others copying.

I got one of there once it was released and I can say i fell in love with this phone at the time it ruled but other companies were competing but this one held on for as long as it could until the next upgraded one came in to the market. Sadly my phone was stolen whilst i was on holiday and I can say this even till this day on i still miss that phone. such an amazing phone.

for those who have problems with E1000 or rokr E1 batery use the motorola E770 battery and you will see a huge diference because he will be charge for 4/5 days under hard use.this phone whith this battery still rocks.

Back in 2005, i got one of this, and I have played around with the system trying to unlock, and other stuff. The phone looks brand new, because I never used since then. Just because of battery problems, but my problem is the e1000 drains the battery in a couple of hours, not days. I got even a bigger battery, but have had no difference. Any ideas what I can do?

The Motorola E1000 is a GSM phone. Any company that isn't GSM in USA or over seas it would not be able to work with. What was the question that you wanted to know about the E1000 again, I use and own one right now! Good Phone!

i have got one post paid E1000. I don't think you can use other companies sim card as these phones are locked. you may ask for the code from 3 but that will attract charges.

i am pretty sure that if you phone is unlocked then you can put any SIM card into it. (at&t and verizon i think use sim cards.) virigin does not have sim cards last i checked and so it probly wont work with virgin. will this phone work well in america on at&t??? i have at&T and want to buy it b/c i love it but it onlyl works on one of at&t's bands...

I have a Motorola E1000 mobile phone and want to know, can I use ANY network provider's SIM card in this handset? It started life as a prepaid pay as you go with Network 3 but want to consider a different service provider, like say Virgin, perhaps. Obviously,something is wrong with your battery, it should be able to charge even when its on. most probably it consumes the same amount of power it charges.. either replace your battery or charge it while its off

Thanks DJGORGEOUS for trying to help. I took the E1000 to a guy who is supposed to be the best in my hometown. He can't reset the phone because his equipment can't read anything. I'll ask Motorola to do something about it.

I've been using the moto E1000 for a while now and it works flawlessly, and the large screen makes for good viewing. The one gripe is the A-GPS function is very limited and I cannot use it. Is there any software which uses the GPS on the phone? Or is there any other way of sat-navving (bluetooth adaptor, etc.)? Cheers

My view is if posible please try to manifucturing housing of E1000. And getting the housing especially here in Uganda is a problem.the one i own the housing is now old and am looking for where to get the new one.I urge you to continue manufacturing this type of phone and export more to africa especially Uganda.

the middle 5-way button is an absolute PAIN. mine freezes all the time and it is EXTREMELY irritating!! If it wasn't for this I'd be quite happy with the phone although it has to be said the battery runs down WAY too quickly.

you can deactivate the 3g function by the Network Setup menu in the Phone setup. then you choose the band to be 900/1800 and you'll be only up to 2,5 G :)

The mp3-songlist on the phone has a reading-llimitation of 256 songs! No point in putting more songs than that on the memorycard cuz the mp3-player will not recognise all of them. Besides this the phone is very nice. The sound is clear and well-defined. The battery-life is ok if you use the phone normally. Sure the phone is larger and slightly heavier than most cellphones but this is just cool. The display is big and clear. It feels like there is something solid in your hand (and pocket). If you can get this phone cheap buy it!

i own a e1000 and it is better than most later models of motorola phones that are on the market. here are the stuff i like, 1. yes it is heavier which is why you will notice the moment it is not in your possession. 2. the display is cleaner than the L6 and most likely the L7, great detail in the display. 3. there are many features and a few that are not mention in the manual, for instance, a playlist of your saved music and the editing of said playlist. 4. there is a very bright bulb at the back which is more like a floodlight. 5. when viewing a video it uses the entire screen. 6. it has two cameras so you can switch views without turning around the phone. 7. the 3D stereo speaker is one of the best, if not the best. so these are just a few great things about this phone. i would like to see an upgraded version of this phone that has everything this has, plus more.

I am glad with this phone wich I have for over a year now. The design is cool but the battery lasts for 2 days if you have almost no light in the screen and you are using 2.5G because once you turn on the 3G you can literaly see it running out of battery. Shitty camera (1.2mp is a laugh, I would say 640x480). Produces errors in pictures and does not let you erase them because it says that they are beying used... go figure! Messeges are wipped out if you take the battery off and while charging you can not touch the phone because the charger contacts are very bad and sometimes it stops charging... in the end it is a good phone for general use and very "floor-resistant"... it has survived my hands for over a year so it is WAR material.

me and my brother had this phone..both crashed..they wouldn't start anymore..i went to a service with them and they told me they can't do anything with them..but a few days ago, i was looking at my brother's phone and I tried to start it..and it dit..and now it's working without problems..the thing is that I put a 512MB card in both..and that is when the both phones crashed..not right away, but still..so..i say if u get this phone, witch is a great one(if u have a good battery) don't get a transflash card greater than 256MB..

E1000 is the worst phone I've ever used. It get stuck, its battery has the shortest life possible, pretty quickly the joystick gets stuck and this phone has a unique ability TO COLLECT DUST AND SAND. It only took 3 months for this phone to collect so much dust under the screen making it extremely hard to read anything off of with the sun light. There are many other phones much better than this one. In my personal opinion there's absolutely no reason to buy. V3X is much better in my opinion.

E1000 was a good phone for the time of its launch. with the right applications (like XPloreME) u can view pictures in fullscreen mode.the joystick stucks often but there are many wayz for making it work. The GPS function it is not that great. if u want to get a correct and fast fix u really need to buy a GPS connector

hi i recently got an e1000 now i have read all the reviews and most of them sat this phone sucks i am here to tell you the truth and nothing more about this phone now i only had this phone for about 3 weeks it was a temp phone for me untill i got my a1000 :) but in this time i learned the advantages and disadvantages with this phone also having some tools and knolage and stuff like that modded the phone with the new boot loader and all that stuff now first ill comment on the joystic: evil i found it hard to use and somtimes played up also not the best spot to put it nere the 2 & 5 keys pfft but other from that motion was good and didnt feel cheap now ill comment on the sound perfict i havenbt herd better sound on a phone ever its just amasing i cant beleve the sound on it its just mega now for the bluetooth same thing as most motorolas running on syenergy X descuverbal only lasts for 60s the rason for that is bluetooth security is low on motorola espesialy for ones running on motorola syenergy X camera: again in good light the camera is good quality but only in good light in low light its verry grainy nice flash light tho can be used as a torch but only if you are in camra mode also when in camera mode u cant use any music or anithing else of the light will go off as the camera goes off bluetooh headsets: i have a blueand x5 sterio headset it worked fine on the e1000 music played theu the fine now it was in mono but both speakers on the headset worked fine screen: excelent screen wikid amount of pixels on the screen t made every thing look excelent java here is where it gets a bit tricky java isnt the best on the e1000 is has a few problems with what keys i should use for what also u needs a few programs to get some java shit to work like if u want a file thingi or a new java mp3 player u need to download a few programs called mumoto or somthing like that look in fourems for it if u type it in to google ull be lost with some chinese dude (no offence intended) vibra call is good on the phone it is of decent quality thats about all you probly need to know but if you need to know more or need any fostware/hackware to use and update the phone tell me ill give you my e mail [email protected] also to go in to boot loader mode when turning on the phone pres the 3 and * key and hold it it will go to a dos like screen any way if you need any software u have my e mail also if u just wanna chat as well tell me and ill add u to msn with my other acount

I have this phone on vodafone and i flashed it. When flashed, it is not the same phone. When flashed with the newest software it is faster, better and if you have a motorola screwdriver the joystick is no problem. It is easy to clean it. No problem at all. P.S. A stronger battery is coming. The batery life incrases 120%. It means that the E1000 can stand by over 6 days.

nope u can't see the wallpapers in full screen only the video's and u can transfer any wallpapers but the biggest wallpapers wich phone will open are 1280x1024 resolution.

I've had this phone bout just over one and a half years, and i think its a piece of crap. Initially fell in love with it cos of its superior functions, the whole 3G craze, and the fact it looked really sturdy and came in my favourite black. But then after a while you notice how slow the text appears on the screen, how you always keep getting cut off in the middle of calls cos the network mysterioulsy goes zero, how the phone seems to adopt a life of its own and just turns itself off, how the battery doesnt seem to last you a full day even after a full night's charging, and how that damn joystick just wont scroll properly at all. Being brutally honest, I just smashed the damn thing against the wall cos it got me so pissed off. And now the LCD is broke, but thats reason to dump this piece of junk and get myself a NOKIA. Good riddance.

Hmm phone looks good but has many bugs. Well first of all.. my mp3 player gives errors.. after some 5-6 melodyes... It gives error..and i have to turn mp3 player back on. Other problem.. I lose connection with network even when i have all signal lines. The mobile restarts sometimes. Battery life sux.. If you activate gprs&bluetooth it will run out of battery in no time. Man this phone has to much bugs.. i think if Motorola would have put more attencion on soft side & battery.. it would have been one of the gratest phones. I like the menu, camera, design, what he can do(even if it's with errors). Oh and lots of java applications just don't work.. Only old java application work

Nice phone... joystick is a bit dodgy but otherwise great... get a 1gb sd micro and get load of MP�s going on it... It has delivery reports you set it on the message your sending.. no auto lock of the keypad is a bit annoying.. got the phone for free so can't complain too much:)

I love the phone, except since my battery died and stuck without charge i took out sim, I can't set the date and time correctly. It starts counting from 1-Jan-2000 everytime I remove sim and try again. But the incoming msgs and calls show right time. Just to say , aye the batterylife is poor but the phone is great for mp3s and video...i can watch whole dvds or tv episodes long before the ipod video ( i hate apple)....actual pics taken with the phone are shady as well, would not recommend it for that but overall love it and would say buy it!

Its a great phone but it has such a low battery life.

You can turn this phone off when charging, but if you have an alarm set it might not go off. The navigation button in the middle is an absolute nightmare, really crap idea and battery life is very poor, needs charging every night even if not used a lot. Loads of excellent features but let down by the basics.

Absolutely rubbish!!The videos dont last for more than 30 seconds, but you cant even see them for the dust that gets in under the screen!!You can hardly store any txts and my handset has broke four times before i got a new one which has just broke aswell!!Mine also has trouble charging, but even when it does charge the battery dies before the day is out!Stay away!!

Copy java games directly to the phone. Cannot connect to the x:\mobile\kjava folder through windows as advised by 'notme'. Any other suggestions on how to copy games directly to teh phone. To put in a java game copy it to a memory card into the x:\mobile\kjava hiden folder then install it in the phone. You can get to the folder by typing it into the adress line of windows window.

I just want to say to everyone who is asking how to send java games and applications.Well here is the answer: for sending java stuff on motorola e1000 you must have a bluetooth adapter.And for useing gps you need to have a java application instaled on motorola e1000. For gps I use ,,Tom Tom navigator" its realy great, and you can downloaded from internet as a java application.

In fact at first I did encounter this problem, I need to try and try, to disconnect and connect back till it worked...U may use the usb connecter to connect the charger if it's still not working. Regarding the pixellated wallpapers...I found the same and discovered that wallpapers resized, to the phones display size (320x240), on the PC and uploaded to the phone (I did it using the transflash card) look much crisper than large photos taken with the phone camera (even at best/high qualty) that are then resized by the phone to fit the screen. So i'd suggest using your preferred photo editing software to resize images to 320x240 on your pc. Hope that helps.

For those whom experiencing slow responses in the key input and browsing MP3 or other function, just take note that it is due to your Transflash Card problem. Mine is due to the card and after replacing the card under warranty...the problems is gone. Nothing to do with software unless the new card is also posing the same. It will be nice if Motorola can comes out with a higher capacity battery to enchance the standby days of the phone. Overall good verdict for the phone.

Since get hold of the phone 3 days ago, it performs to it true capability and the phone is real solid. But experiencing slow response when browsing the TransCard for MP3 songs. Otherwise, it works perfectly. Downloading of contents thru GPRS is fast since 3G services in not availbale at my district. Major setback is the short battery life when doing lots of sms, listening to MP3 and recording video. Final verdict is that the phone is good with minor disadvantages which is better than SE K600i and Samsung Z500 which having a small screen. Hopefully Motorola will comes out with longer lasting battery than the current one that comes originally with the phone.

This is the worst phone ever...the fundamental design is stupid...its amazing how many good reviews it gets...are you people blind... what about the battery life.. the badly designed connector for the charger which you always have to fiddle with ....what about those frustrating "unable to charge" prompts when the phone refuses to charge... what about the faulty software which freezes up...what about the syncing software which does not work.... i know what insider is talking about... cuz i personally contacted motorola myself.. and they of course referred me to the network... i should have stuck with my old nokia 3310 solid as a rock.... to hell with 3g... to increase in value ...no increase in quality of life... not worth it... then again that could be the networks fault.... sorry i tell it like it is!

SSlee Do you want to know how to load them onto your phone or just how to play them. To play them just go to my items select sounds and play. From that menu you can make play lists if you want otherwise it only plays 1 song at a time. To put songs on your phone use the mobile phone tools from your computer or bluetooth. Scroll down the other comments, I did talk about it before. Good luck. Email if you don't come right.

Mark i think the maximum mms size is 300KB maybe some phones are 100KB only, not too sure. the one on my phone is 300KB. maybe after your video size has been reduced the other components of your mms(like the message text, other pictures etc) add up together still exceed the maximum limit.

Can anyone tell me the max size of an mms that can be sent. Please try doing this and let me know if you can. Press message, then create message, New multimedia msg, menu, insert, new video. Then what happens, my phone says "the video is too large for message. Reduce video size" I then select yes to reduce. Now it says "nsufficient storage: Delete picture, messages" Now i press ok then i goes back to the insert options menu. I have more than enough space on my phone and card. What is the problem? Motorola help line Knows Nothing!!!!

Tyamathis, I spoke to motorola and they said that it can be done. All you need to do is go to a motorola main office and get the java apps loaded onto your phone. I have not done this yet because there is no motorola office where I live, gotta send it away for a few days. My e1000 came with 3 games on it, 1 full game (soccer) and 2 demos. well...it's nice...all u can get from a phone of it's class...realy???? i was very happy when i bought it, but when i reached home i realised it had no games installed. no problem i said. i have the data cable. SURPRIZE: U CAN NOT UPLOAD GAMES TO THIS PHONE. i tried with the card reader too..no succes at all. the cable is only for music, videos and photos. the only way to get games on this mobile phone is by paying with wap support, or by bluetooth, which in Romania, it' s not so inexpensive...

Talking of the fly here but when you make a audio cd you add songs onto a list which you gonna burn. select one song, right click it and select audio editor. this will load the song up and then u can cut it and change many things on it. then save the edited track. good luck

Got two of them in the family, and BOTH of them have these problems: 1- battery life. lasts UNDER a day with moderate usage (a few short fone calls, a few SMS, bluetooth is OFF) 2- camera. 1.2MP? erm.. the onli thing i am really not happy now is that the phone only allows you to play the mp3 files at 32 kbps.. while my friends E398 can play songs that is 192 kbps or higher.. when i consulted the motorola staff.. they said that the phone default is like that (32kbps).. but,if you wan play 192 kbps or higher mp3 songs. you can borrow a E398,transfer the 192 kbps to the E398 than to the E1000 via bluetooth.. after which there is no doubt that the E1000 speaker is very very good and clear.. Does anyone have other ways of transferring the MP3 songs without changing the KBPS to a lower KBPS your comments wIll be greatly apperciated.. ChEErs to mOtoRoLA.. ^_^

Hi, not sure if you sorted this out yet, but the problem is with the charger. If you use the wrong charger on the E1000, it will switch off. I had this problem, changed my charger, and it works fine. It does this to protect the phone. If think the CH620 is ok for the e1000, check out the hellomoto.com pages John

No, the Motorla E1000 can't use MMC cards but it comes, in the original package, with an SD adaptor for its TransFlash card, to use it for common card-readers. Dude in White, I had the phone for a couple of days and it worked fine for me. Besides that, it made great photos! Better than 6630 at least...

I use the phone for work and it needs to be on 24/7 so its a little dissapointing due to the very poor battery. However, all other areas are good. Easy to use. But will go go back to nokia next time for battery life.

this phone is like a small soap bar and slips easy into my jeans pocket.i dont think its that big as most of it a colorful screen that is seriously really good.the battery gets better with use.you can customise it to bits and its got everything but radio but that could be available at 3g speed like vigin radio not sure.have been watching big bro for the odd few minutes live within 1 second of it been shown on tele but its 75p an minute but so what its a start that they can stream tele with perfect results.

I think this is a top phone,but I am extremely disappointed with the battery life. My battery is lasting around 16 hours at the most before the red battery is flashing and it needs charging! If anyone sends me a couple of files via bluetooth the battery life gets eaten away in no time. Some people have suggested that the phone or the battery may be faulty and that I should send it back to 3 for repair. in the box on threepay there is nowt i can find on bluetooth.this is what it says ,,,you can sync with your comp and bluetooth headset.i linked it up by bluetooth with my 6630 and tranferred video files but some have a lock on them which wont transfer.when i got the2 devices linked for a few seconds on the e1000 it said something like "obex activated "or" on".All files therefore ive transferred are listed MP4 and you know by the lock symbol you cannot send the video.on my moto a835" send" was how to transferr vids by bluetooth this is now "move"on e1000.Beware if you press copy instead of move the vid goes to other device and is deleted on your device,only move transfers vid and keeps it on your device.thats all i know about bluetooth on e1000.had it 2 days 9/10 the 1 point being dropped for battery but its getting better,

maybe if enough persons complain they might bring out a larger capacity battery or let a third party build one and let them approve it.i think it would sell like hot cakes.if you look at the battery cover it indents so making a bigger battery would bring it flush with the rest of the phone or extend out a little i could not care less and the extra few grammes is so little compared to battery life.oh why,why,whymoto give us a stressless day

- The battery lasts for about 20 hours, what makes it unusable in my opinion. - When 3G is not available, it changes automatically to 2G but it always hangs in the change. It seems that the phone is working properly but it doesn't receive incoming calls and you cant't make calls. The only solution is to restart the device.

i think the e1000 is the best phone out for its price. the camera quality is amazing.i dont think i will ever get bored of this phone with its mp3 player bluetooth and lots more.i didnt no wether to get the nokia 6630 or the e1000 but im glad i got the e1000 by a long way. and its got a high memory capibilaty. if you wanna get a new 3G phone i highly recomend this one.(in my opinion best 3G phone out)

The final decision is from u in the end...Well since u ask for opinion and I am one of the E1000 users, I think I shd share with u here...I did have to make a choice to choose either E1000 or N6680 before, in the end I made my choice and never regret...This is a phone with so many nice features that only cost u lower and afforable price, it can be said that even cheaper than some non 3G phones in market(just wonder why still have peoples wanted to spend so much for a non-3G phone nowadays?) Nokia 6680 is good for camera, but how often u will use it for taking pictures? In fact I rather take pictures with my digital camera...Further more, E1000 camera is good when u take picture in day time not night time or dark condition...About the short video camera recording...U can continue the videos by saving to different files...It's not a big problem...Sometime we may pay a higher price just for a better feature which is not a smart way to be a consumer... :> E1000 can fulfil your enjoyment for 3G lifestyle...U spend lower price to buy it and can have some more money to buy a better new battery as well, in the end u solve the problem of low battery life...What more? U can transfer MP3 song and picture from pc to it...and your sms ringtone can be organised or chose by u..Imagine if u have many nice MP3 songs, u can attached to individual persons in your phone adderess book...so u can personalize each person with a particular song...It is cool...The song and ringtone are played with clear and high quality...and the sms is very user friendly if u have get used to it...I am not someone from Motorola sale :) and this is my first Motorola phone which I think is the best of phone I use so far... I like this phone. Plenty of features, although extremely poor battery life (mine just 2 d in stanby mode). I have a silly problem synchronizing the Outlook calendar with the phone using Mobile Phone Tools. The dates are transferred between the PC and the Phone with one hour time difference. Any help?

In reply to phil rudrams post. yes you can use the phone whilst charging it...it's exactly like plugging it into the wall seriously how is it different? There are not too many buttons to access 3G and clearly you CAN program your own soft keys as well as rearrange the whole menu. If you bothered to read the manual you would have known this already and doesnt this phone have a VERY similiar menu system to the razor? after all they are both motorolas

About battery power life, I charge it once a day, if only I use it too often on chatting, video conference, playing game, it will be finished very fast, so far so good to me as to charge once in a day is something not very difficult thing...I dont use phone to play game that is why I always not look at the feature for games and can save more battery life..hehe..

I've uploaded 3GP and MP4 video files to phone, both play fine but you will need to get a converter to change AVI files to these formats. 256Mb card is largest i've found and you can put 2 full length movies on it. Can't get the AGPS function to work, might not be possible in UK

I have a question, my emails are trunctated 'cause too long which renders it useless, only a few lines and it includes rubbish so no msge really. However, I'm prompted to 'copy all text - yes/no' so it may be that the full email is saved somewhere, do anybody know where this is stored or if any settings can be changed so emails can be read in full?

In answer so some of the incredibly stupid questions posted here: Yes it does have a memory slot! it takes a transflash card as apposed to the older mmc cards, maximum size at present 256mb but i'm sure a 512mb will be on the horizon shortly, whether or not the motorola firmware will support it is another question

some answers... iTAP is the predictive text and TAP is the normal input method. GPS function is something that will have to be incorperated into either web-based services or some applications. if you had read the manual you would indeed discover that the memory card slot is located UNDER the battery adjacent from the sim card. and price? its worth it for this phone :)

Just select option light on cam or camcorder field. But be carefull, the battery dont like it. Nice phone with a terrific screen, but no IR, a bluetooth option usefull only during 60 sec, and a too short battery on 3g system ( 1 hour ).

stephen - thanks for info re battery and yes i find it's improving. mp3 to wav - thanks tip, trying. problem now on music and photo transfer is that the connection cuts off as soon as i open one of the media programs - the phone is connected untill the wizard opens and the transfer buttons are no longer highlighted. i was successfully ones with pic transfer but that's it, any tip on settings or otherwise?

the reason that the light stays on when charging was for the purpose of Sat Nav in the car. So if the phone was in its cradle and you were using it then you would not loose the link by tought the buttons to ge tthe light back on. This was not a desighn fault it was adapted for this purpose.

yeah the light stays on while charging if the phone is on...it's silly but definitely not a defect. i find that opening an app in the background (such as the media player) turns the light off during charging and billy try changing your mp3's to wma format with windows media player or another program...you'll also find that the battery life increases significanty after a few complete charge discharge cycles...i'm serious!

Just bought phone. I have always had the samsungs before. This is a good phone, downsides are its bulky and the battery lasts for just over a day at the moment cos everyone keeps playing with it. I'm sure it will go to 2 days easy once that stops. Upsides are : everything else. I think the camera is wicked and the streaming and videos are toooooo good. Impress ur mates wiv this!!!

brought the motorola e1000 because of the spec eg 1.3 meg camera only had one week and pritty disapointed with the camera fuzy unclear pictures got better pictures out of my sharp gx20 anyone else had problems with this also trying to view pictures on phone and card said unable to read turned the phone off and back on then no probs viewing pictures. Set all settings on camera on max not happy thinking of backing it apart from this every thing else with this phone is great.

Dis is a sorted phone on voda an tha 8 times zoom is great and videos are crisp with ace sound! If your after a 7610 or other megapixel camera but think they are expensive try this you won't be dissapointed, also the screen is one of the biggest and sharpest ive ever seen!

can you please anwswer some queries i have: does the phonebook's function allow searching for a name's first character only ? like sony ericsson ones or the e1000 allows up to you key in the entire name in the search box ? is there is noticeable lag when you switch from function to function when there the transflash card is packed, say with 50 percent of pics and videos ? does it come with the highlighting (or equivalent) feature / button that nokia phones (button marked with a PENCIL symbol) have for CUT/COPY/PASTE function ? thank you very much for taking the time to answer this

i have the phone for sale in Malaysia. interested buyers can take a look here: this phone is the v800 and d500 killer. it's cheaper but packed with advanced functions. the only letdown of this otherwise perfect phone is the cam quality. maybe it's because of the 1.2MP cam compared to the D500's 1.3MP

- in Italy you can buy the transflash card, but the phone does not come with the transflash card included. - there's a flash, but it's not a real flash, it's a kind of torch. still useful. - i really like this phone. it's esthetically beautiful and technically very good. - it is not the best phone on the market. e.g. the ones with CCD camera of course make better pictures for the same amount of pixels. - there seems to be some software bugs, but I think this is not a drawback because this is a common problem of many nowadays phones. I hope they will fix them through software updates.

I've had this little bad boy for a month now and i still can't seem to keep it in my pocket for more than 5 minutes!! Apart from the Mp camera (which isn't as good as lets say siemens gx30 or samsung m900 or even nokia 6630) this is a winner!

Thanks for reply on my question 3 and 4. Presently I am holding Motorola V80 but the problem is: 1. Yes it can store new words but don't know how many cause after some times where I start to store our words, the new words that I initial stored had gone and must restore again. 2. For the scroll down function for phone book, sad to said only can scroll by the first letter and not more than that and the SIM CARD and HANDPHONE storage of the numbers appear together (meaning the handphone will appear same name twice with 1 for SIM CARD and 1 for HANDPHONE) Can I know is this the standard practise for all motorola phone and whether this E1000 also having the same problems? Appreciate for any reply. Tks

derrick to answer question 3 + 4 you can type in new words and the phone stores them for you and you can scroll down your address book on your phone and tick everyone that you want to send a txt to then send the txt to as many as you like

I would say Motorola scavenged this idea from Siemen's SX1 and made improvements on it... Unoriginal, but nonetheless, an amazing phone... Next we'll see all phone manufacturers have design rip-offs of every other manufacturer possible...

Audio is the best from a cell phone that I have ever heard. You can even listen through your Bluetooth headset. The camera is 1.2 Megapixel. Good quality when transfered to the computer. When viewing from phone, it looks so and so. But the computer shows the picture take very nicely.

can anyone tell if they have had the same problem as me with this phone. the phone keeps changing the ring tone i have it on in voice calls & text messages. i have reset phone in master clear & master reset. when phone boots up again it works first time then it gose back to same tone. it wont let me pick what tone i want. this is the second phone ive had from 1stopphoneshop & rang 3 yesterday to see if anyone else had this problem, 3 sent a courier to pick up my phone to see what problem is. please let me no if anyone has had same problem or how to fix it if it happens again. thanks.

It look great , sound great to. But I think that the future of the cell phones is in symbian and other linux based OS. All other phones are extremely limited in installing programs. U can instal only a few java applications, such as games . That is sad. Yet i dont fine any attractively designed symbian mobile.

You can't install Symbian stuff because it's not Symbian. You can install Java. Also, is there any way of saving as mpeg? If not, does anyone know of any converters that can change the format to mpeg via computer?

to the reply of rui, you need your head examined not only are you blinded to see what functions this phone can do you also seem to point out the negative sides, I will stop you there. You can get a usb lead plus software with 300+ games,5000+ringtones and loads of other stuff on it from ebay.The phone is one of the best on the market by far! Dont believe what vodafone tell you about 3 as well,i have no problems with the signal dispite vodafone saying i would get cut off all the time,its not true! They know everyone's switching to 3 and they cant match their prices.HaHa about time too

I got mine today and I'm impressed. The functioanlity is fantastic - my previous phone was an MPX200 (faultless even with the WM2003 upgrade). I've found a uk web site that is doing the 128mb trans-flash for 14.99! I got my E1000 on the 3 network for free half price line rental for 12 months. I'm paying 20 pounds a month for 750 minutes and 150 sms. Bargain. (Try www.e2save.com) Voda-con was very expensive for the same thing.

I bought 2 phones with 3mobile couple of days ago. One of them is Motorola E1000. It seems OK so far. Internet seems to be fast. Decent browsing of 3mobile web content. You can make MP3 songs ring tones. Slightly bulkier then my Nokia 6600. Memory size seems to be 20MB.

I got my E1000 from www.onestopphoneshop.com yesterday. I am on the 3 network and so far i have to say i am very impressed with the phone. I have been downloading songs and music videos. Every that has seen it has commented on the screen quality. Memory is 30MB but i have purchased off ebay for �20 a 128MB TransFlash card, 256MB will be available soon! The camera is great with 8x zoom! Phone is smaller than i thought but screen is massive. The MP3 player works a treat. I have changed from the V600 to thid phone and the difference is incredible, i would not have any other phone. This one is perfect! Still testing the phone on the 3 network...still the little minor feature impress me..the fact when you'r watching 3 content - i.e movie clips you push the menu button and the screen go to full screen (similar to the A920/25) and you turn the phone on it's side and watch the clip! Sorry - 18mb phone memory, expanadble with Tri Flash!

(you are the only one I know about that actually has access to the phone) Some say it weights 140 gr. others 90 or 116 grammes, which is it ? How long does the battery last you ? I've heard it's not a Symbian powered phone, but has a new Operating Systeme, is that right ? Does it function well ; can you install new applications ? I suppose if the phone is not Symbian, the Symbian applications won't install, (MS Office documents viewer, Internet browsers, dictionnaries, GPS add ons, etc...), do you know it their will be applications develepped for this Operating System ? I'm currently testing this phone on the 3 netowrk as i work for them....and can hoenstly say i'm impressed with the size and specs of this phone..i mean a 1.2mp camera...it's awesome also! BT is fully compatable with any device...Stereo sound on loud speaker....the only downside is I've looked and looked to see the overall mem capacity...it's a rather disapointing 4mb..expecially when you have the high spec camera and you cannot use it to it's full advantage....still not managed to get myself a Tri Flash R expandable mem stick (Stick?? The slot is smaller than the USIM!)The screen is a beauty, but have had no time to view any content... anyways...keep u informed!
