The Nokia 3200 and 6560 (US variant of the 6610) were announced on 12 September 2003, which is the exact day I was born. I can't get the 6560 as I'm in the UK, so the 6610 and the 3200 are special to me :)

Truly magical phone of the mid-2000s. It had a basic 0.3 MP camera. But the pics it took were much clearer than the 0.6 or 1 MP cameras on its rival phones (Samsung & Sony Ericsson). Its xhtml browser did so much work that it allowed me to spend 18 months without having a PC at home! No MP3 support, but the FM radio was very useful. Torchlight was very bright. And all those addictive s40 java games made the phone into a pocket-playground! This phone was the ideal helper!

I use to own one of these and despite the battery being 780 mAh it still lasted long. My current phone Galaxy S5 has a 2800 mAh and yes it lasts long compared to many other Android devices but if this battery was in a Nokia like this it would last for at least a month.

i remember this phone, especially the bounce game. its really awesome to have a colored screen mobile at that time. but now you need to have a bigger size screen handset with especial feature on it to call it awesome lol

In 2004 & 2005, this phone met most of my internet needs, without me having to use a computer! Camera didn't have much pixels... but still its images were more realistic than those clicked in other mobiles of that time!

This is still my working phone since 2004! No kidding!! It's awesome--I'm only on my 4th battery. This phone has saved me thousands. Very robust design, clear speaker, quirky, and now considered vintage in the world of phones. For basic internet, I prefer to use an iPad but for everything else I use a high-powered laptop. Even a smartphone can't perform the things I need to do on the web, so it's useless to me. For photos, I'm used to using a powerful camera. Hoping it will keep holding out. Needed reimaging not long after I bought it. Cost me $50 back then (crazy) but was definitely worth it!

Really clever phone. I love the way you can make cut outs and insert them into the phone, this means that you can even insert your own pictures in the phone. I remeber this phone being advertised in a billboard on the Driv3r game.

it had been with me since 2003, and i've just lost it yesterday but in actual fact, i left it in a hotel room when i checked out, i totally forgot about it that i left it on top of a switch socket next to the bed, it doesn't have a sim card therefore i can't make a call back to the phone, it was used as a game phone for my kids all these while but now.......sigh!

I use to think that am the only one that has been using this phone for long but this forum has given me the opportunity to tell the world that nokia 3200 is one of the best phone to use in fact I have been using it since my undergraduate days till date that i am working. I got this phone when I was about 12 and no longer have it. It was good while it lasted but take my advice and do not let it near water! It's definitely not as durable as other Nokia phones.

If I have a jar-file stored on the phone is it then possible to install it as a Java ME program? How do I do this? I wonder because I succeeded in transferring a file using IR from another phone to 3200 but I don't know how to install it. It would save me some money and speed up testing of programs if I could install the jar-file. When I transfer jar-files using IR to other phones they are usually installed directly (after a question).

Really fun to use and reliable at that. The Keypad is a bit annoying and takes a bit of getting used to but for its time it really does have a lot to offer. Infrared, built-in Camera, flashlight, radio etc. The radio feature is really good, with surprisingly high quality sound, and you can choose to play through the headset or on loudspeaker. The voice recorder function is pretty neat too. You can download java games quickly and easily from WAP too.

This is the most memorable phone i have ever had. Its my first camera phone. I bought this when i was in 5th grade and now im in third year hs. I got addicted with it because of its FLASHLIGHT FUNCTION. Its so handy and useful because you wont have to look for a flashlight with it. Its been with me in our many vacations. Especially in ilocos norte beach. I use its torch function everytime anywhere. I record all my memries since the past 6 years, like when my dog got lost and when my cat died :( I only realised its importance when i had so memories with it and with the memos i placed in its calendar since i was little. Now it's more important to me than ever because it has so many memories. I never thought it would last this long. Im never gonna let go of this phone. Even if im planning to buy a samsung b2100 because of its torch function, im still keeping this. It has been with me through thick and thin. I remember not being able to sleep because of it. Its the first best phone i had because of its features: radio, flashlight, camera, sound recorder. Its battery has never been replaced EVER. Its the MOST DURABLE PHONE I EVER HAD. Its battery life after 6 years is like forever. SO many old photos of my dead cat and lost dog in its gallery. It was never brought for servicing because it never got broken after so many falls. LONG LIVE NOKIA 3200. NEVER HAD PROBLEMS WITH IT EVER AFTER 6 YEARS. STRONG SIGNAL AND NICE FM RADIO WITH NICE STEREO SOUND. i dropped this phone in the toilet and my sister threw it across the room...it has seen almost every country in the book...and it still works (surprisingly better than before i dropped it in the toilet). This is just a BASIC PHONE but it is a BASIC PHONE THAT DOES NOT BREAK. Have had 3 different phones since I have gotten this. The others broke in a few days or months. In the US AT&T (rumor has it) discontinued this phone because it lasted longer then their contracts. AT&T wants to sell you a new phone to make you re-sign you BUT this phone was still working for people after years (contract freedom is un-american?). If you want a reliable simple phone get this one. I picked up two back-ups on EBAY because I am tired of cheap, unreliable phones.

well ive had this phone now for 5 years on the original battery and i cant fault it,i just dont see the point in upgrading to a new phone when this does everything so well.only gripe i have is the fm radio isnt that good at getting a stereo reception but thats no big deal .if your after a phone with some handy features thats easy to use has a radio a torch and a basic camera,then if you can find one then buy it.

3200 is one of the 'old-good-quality nokians'. I bought it from first owner 5 y. ago and repaired the ringtone speaker. This year also bought new battery (non-original) and heavy duty calling can now last on again. Keyboard is easy to use and it's inbuilt flashlight can be very useful when travelling.

This is my first and best phone. I've had it for almost 7 years and have gone through a lot with it. I dropped it a gazillion times and threw it at my friend's face (as a joke) for millions more. It disintegrated and broke into pieces, but like a true blue masterpiece, I could still put the covers and battery back to turn it back into something I bought 7 years ago. Good as new. The most durable thing ever made.

Is your phone restart on "go to" menu? I think this is software problem. Go to service senter to update (fully reinstal) your mobile phone software with default settings and the problem will gone.

I used it about 4 years back. I still have it in spare. Its one of the best in its class, small, and light weight. It has probably the best flashlight i have ever seen on any nokia phones. Maybe today too it can compete well for various cells found in its class. Only one disappointing thing is its looks, otherwise its one of the best!

this is a really sturdy phone. i've dropped it more times than i remember, even dropped it once onto the nyc subway tracks, and still works like a charm. have had for 5 years, and only problem is the battery doesn't last as long as it used to.

Have owned 3200 for 4 years with same battery. Salient feature is durability -- I've dropped this on concrete many times--no problem, it bounces. Camera is sketchy, voice recorder good, FM radio OK. I like the two-way rocker keys, and that the phone is small. Favourite feature is the flashlight. Naturally, you cannot buy it anymore. My next phone will have iPhone-like capabilities, but I will carry this until it dies.

i had this phone since 2003, along with a nokia 7650, this phone, is still functioning very well. no defects, i never changed the battery yet, since 2003, believe me or not, never been broken or sent to service. but unfortunately along with this i had a nokia 7650, it had been to the repair shop a hundred times and now its dead, and it cannot be repaired, it needs to be replaced, but the 3200 is still rockin up to now. along with my mokia 2680 slide & nokia 2630.

I had the 3205 (which is the CDMA version of this phone) for Sprint for about 3 1/2 years, and switched to AT&T, and have had several phones since then. I'm a huge fan of Nokia phones, and when I most recent Nokia phone broke, my dad just ordered me a 3200 from ebay. The 3205 was a great phone, though, so I'm looking forward to my 3200 arriving.

Amazing Opinion by evry1 out there :-) Trust me, one of the best phone i have. I have been using this from the past 4.5 years and is still rocking. Dropped it many a times but never ever it has given me any trouble. The flash light, the FM, Radio, Sound Recording et al are some featres which are worth mentioning about this small machine. Honestly, i am planning to buy a new mobile but will keep this Mobile in my kitty. will never give this to any1. Lots n Lots of memories to stay with this mobile.

This phone was great, when it came out, it was a special phone, because it has a unique style, + it comes with a thing to cut papper, so you can make your own customized front and back covers. I Really made some impressive front and back covers, using photo paper and a high quality printer. ps: But nowadays, the phone doesnt worth a cent, just like nokia 3330, when it came out, it was the best nokia ever, but nowadays no one knows whats a 3330...

I loved this phone and when I lost it I was so upset that cingular wireless didn't sell this phone anymore. Nokia 3200 is my favorite phone I've ever had. I've had it 5 years, dropped it, drowned it, and its still going strong. I've had other phones (all Motorolas) every two years when my plan updates (because they are free) but all the Motos have broken and I've always gone back to my Nokia. I'm getting a new Moto next week and I'm going to cry. I'm saving my Nokia as a backup for when it breaks.

A few people have complained about the keypad on this phone. I think the keypad is the best. The rubber keypads are no good. The writing on them, like the letters or actual #, rub off & no longer can see what the button is. But not with this phone. It was made to last. If your hands can't handle this phone & ur hands are in pain because of a plastic keypad. Handle it! Bcuz the keypads are great on this phone...

I Love this one too and echo everyones' opinion that it is a tough, reliable phone. Great features such as light,radio etc.Using a program called Tequilacat,free from the Internet, I was even able to use it as an EBook! But as a phone only, it has to be the best ever made. It last for years & doesn't break like many other phones. I bought this phone a couple of years ago and I am already getting rid of it. Sound probs... apparently the receivers can hardly hear me. Battery probs... it says it's full and next call it goes down and it says it's flat. On the other hand is too big and bulky. The radio works well but had to buy 4 headphones(keeps breaking). Torch and agenda v practical. Disappointed life spam so short!

I purchased a 3200b about a year ago to replace a Nokia 6010 that no longer suited my needs. I have been very satisfied with its quality and features. I applaud nokia for their outside-the-box features that show up again and again. This phone is far more durable than others I have seen. 2 days ago it accidentally took a spin through the washing machine in the pocket of a pair of pants. A 10 minute wash in 140 degree water with laundry detergent and bleach, cold water rinse, and spin cycle. I took the battery out, the faceplates off, let it dry for 12 hours, and it was good as new (albeit a little cleaner). I am by no means endorsing washing your phone, but held up.

This phone was the very first one I ever had. I still have it now, four straight years since I was fifth grade and now I'm a frshman. It's actually a tough phone cuzit fell like twenty times since I've had it but it still works fine, but I don't like the sound and camera. Both of them are not clear. But it's short memory, and only 64k per game and app it is just not enough for me who love to do experiments and use a phone for sometimes "play" with it. But for people who wants a simple phone this can be a great choice. I give 8 from 10

This is a super solid phone. I've had it for almost three years, and I've actually gone back to using it after having a Motorola L6 for one year. One small drop and the L6 scratched or fell apart, but the 3200 can take a tumble with no problem. The signal strength has been the best out of all other phones I've used. The built in light has been great while fumbling around for keys etc, I actually forgot how useful it was. Bad camera? Small memory? Well, I use a phone to make calls and the occasional text message, so no love lost there. The speakerphone has good volume, as does the FM radio (which can also be played through the internal speaker). The keypad probably lets the rest of the phone down a bit. It has a nice feel, but it takes a lot of getting used to. I'll probably keep it 'till the battery gives out, although it still lasts for almost a week between charges. Going through at least one full discharge cycle a month does indeed keep Li-ion batteries happy. Not sure if you can still get them new anywhere, but I'd say it'd make a fairly solid used buy if you can find it.

i have had this phone for a while now and it has been working fine except for the 0 button occasionally not working i accidentally dropped the phone in the toilet few days ago(was a clean toilet tho ;)) i immediately picked up the phone, turned it off and let it completely dry for a few days and turned it back on. it seems to work fine but the problem is that the torch is now permanently on and cannot be turned off whatever i do. does anyone know the solution to this problem? or is there a solution? any help would be greatly appreciated

I use this phone 2 years since. You can trust on it! It never let you down. About memory - its low when you want to have high resolution pics or mp3 - which is stupid, cause the phone can't manage such files. The memory is enough for its purposes - midi tones, pics, taken by the phone - a lot of them. Ex. My favorite PC game is "UFO enemy unknow" nad UFO 2 and I copyed all midi files from these 2 games to the phone. Hope this ex. is usefull for somebody :)

I got this phone in fifth grade. Now I'm 8th. It's still okay, I guess. But it's not what it was when I first got it. The camera isn't as clear, and there's sometimes problems when I try to call. I'm getting a new phone, choosing between the E61i and N95. I love both phones cuz they got all the features I'm looking for. it may look like a toy but its got nifty features like IR connectivity, FM Radio, flashlight and an integrated "camera" which takes really bad quality photos. 2nd best nokia keypads that i've ever used.

i have had this fone for like 2 years now and there are a lot of things that bother me about it good: ~changable covers (it is hot pink right now) ~camera the fact that it has one because i am not allowed to get anything off of the internet onto my phone and i still have sorta good backrounds ~it can survive hell, i have dropped it in the toilet, it has been run over by a suburban, and slammed into the floor like a billion times and it still works ~flashlight: i used it during a power outage and it works really well bad: ~it is HUGE!!!! and it isn;t half as big when you take off the covers and stuff but it is still bigger that all my other friend's phones ~camera is like the worst one ever!!!! ~battery, i had to charge it twice a day and then i got a new one that flashes in the back and it is not any better ~the keys are annoying, but you get used to it, but all of my friends hate them, and they are really bad with people with fat fingers like my dad ~power button is impossible to push in, at least on my phone ~the games are pretty shitty to ~voice recorder is only ok, it isn;t really good like on other phones but it is good for ringtones and you can record up to a minute ~speaker is not very loud, but i am also normally in really lound places over all i hate this phone and i wouldn;t recomend for anybody 2 get it!!!!!!!!!

I got my 3200 in 2004 & everythings cool except for one damn thing..whenever I send a MMS with a picture only the text part goes through to the person who gets the message...initially I thought it was network prob & went to Dialog in Sri Lanka but they said that the settings are ok.I just wanna from others who have 3200s in SL have the same prob as I do? I had this phone for over a year. I dropped it, threw it, dropped it in water I just put this phone through hell and nothing happened to it. The camera quality isn't great (but at least it has one) and the buttons are a little irritating but you do get used to it.

I really like this phone. Its design is good and its features are also good. It does not have video or mp3, but it is a good little phone. The image quality is poor, but the pictures are still easilly seen. The radio works really well if you connect your headset to it. I am getting a new mobile phone for my birthday, so the 3200 should be put away. I dont want to put that phone away becouse it is very strong and good. I have had this phone for almost 3 years now. It is still in great condition!!! I RECCOMEND IT!!!

I've got this phone and I love it :D the camera is average quality - not amazing but it's decent I've emailed photos to my pc and they're good. I'm storing 27 photos at the moment and I can store more - it depends on what else you have on your phone, if you have loads of text messages you can't save that many photos, got 34 text messages and 2 multimedia messages. more memory would be great though. The torch is really handy. The sound quality isn't very good but it's not bad. I love the games - virtual me and bounce, and can download more off the internet. I have no problems with the buttons at all, i love them and stops people from wanting to send texts off my phone! It's difficult to see when it's really bright, but that happens on loads of phones. A really kool part of the phone is you can make your own cover, I've got the blue cover that came with (holographic!) and a guitar pick in, just in case I want to play my guitar and can't find one. HOWEVER my phone broke a month after 1 year, when someone rings me, I have to put it on loadspeaker otherwise I can't hear them, but everything else soundwise if fine. and the infrared is really good too, send pictures for free :D I love my phone soooo much if it had bluetooth, video, better sound, more memory, and that kool wavey thing on the 3220 it would be perfect. Shame it's broken :( great phone.

best tel ever, when I bought this one a 2 years ago, I looked for: MMS camera, Flashlight and Stereo FM. Now after 2 years ,at a resonable price and size, the only phones that can find those things are k750i/k800i.. SE,668x(maybe) 2 years and still they haven't found a way to make a better one. 320x. Camera, small memory.. (MMS network has 120x..)if you need Mp get a real digital camera maybe a SONY T9 (small and compact) and the customize "faces" define my moods perfectly.. I will post the "better" phone here, when I will find it..

Ive owned my 3200 for a year and a half now. I really dislike it..sadly after the wear and tear of simple everyday usage the battrey is losing its power extremly fast. It has no where near the 'lifespan' of what it did 6 months ago. I take really good care of my phones and this was a let down in the long run. Although the phone is 100% user friendly the durability is a bit weak. 7/10 is my rating..i prefer my new D600 :)

I've had this phone for a year and a half. I enver switch it off, and the battery lasts up to 4/5 days. Very great fone.. for it has the WAP, mms (able to send pic and sound and text all at once) and SMS... Great reception, and inbuilt handsfree, as also the Radio.. AS ALSO good for camping.. coz of the Torch ;) Was thinking of upgrading, but i doubt finding a better one! the only lousy thing is the CAMERA.. but then again.. why not get a digital camera.. it's only a mobile PHONE! this phone has great features, but it does break easily - i only dropped it a few feet off the ground onto carpet but the microphone has now broken in it. you cant get any spare pasrts for it so now its totally useless! its good but breaks easily and is quite big compared to some phones you can get now.

It served me well for the first 18 months but then it started to go faulty. the battery was running out after less than a day - and even when i spent 50 to get a new one it was still faulty. I had this phone for about 15 months before it got stolen. It is the best phone I've had so far! It was easy to use, and the flashlight came in handy numerous times. The games were a bit lame and I stopped using them after a while. The camera isn't amazing but good enough. I loved the look of the phone and I was always cutting out new cover designs, although the holographic ones you get with it were good anyway. It annoyed me that I had to send away for the cutter, but once I got it, I used it now and then. I loved having a phone that looked different to everyone else's. Also I dropped the phone numerous times and never broke, so it's pretty sturdy. This is an all-round good phone.

I have owned the Nokia 3200 for about 18 months and even throw i am trying to get a new phone, hopfully the Nokia N70 i had a really good run with this phone. No major problems and it get thrown around alot. Pros would have to be the flash light, clander and the abilty to send and receves sms while on the phone. Cons not alot of space for sms, mms and ring tones. As for the camer well it was the best when i got it but now its not so good. Overall a great phone but only buy it as a pre-paid or as a first phone. Other wise buy one with more stuff in it.

Over the past 3 months I've had nothing but trouble, have to keep sending for repair because everyone gets my message minder when they try to ring. This is an absolutely okay cellphone, except for the fact that its camera's performance is poor, compared with my Motorola C651. My 3200 was stolen from me. I miss the darned phone, but then, my Motorola keeps me good company... But given the chance, I would rather have the Nokia 6101... I love clamshell phones!!! I had this phone for less than 6 months. It wasn't bad. A bit big for my liking, and it took ages to get used to the shared key pad. I replaced it for a LG phone a few days ago, and gave it to mum. Mum has trouble using the shared key pad, and the menu set out isn't that great. Bonuses include the theme colours, and that's about it.

dear iam useing this phone i.e. i purchased it on 14/12/2004 but i hav used it for only 4 month in between it gone for repair just because of software cras problem an not solve-able now iam getting replacement i wish this will work but its performance is poor in terms of conectivity of gprs, memory and camera. just think before you buy this. best of luck

hey...right i had this handset for 2 years now! and laterly the software on the handset keeps frezzing!! which is a real pain in the backside, i lost all the numbers in the phonebook, i even went to every phone to try to get it fixed! no chance! so now i just brought a 3220, which i like. the 3200 was a gd phone went it came to the handy tourch, man..i soo..used it loads of times! its a shame that the covers break easyly, especially when dropping the phone, etc.

Radio, if u like it, calendar what is so useful, caculator, camera, u can call and send messages. Im going to buy new phone at the cristmas, but i have to say, i really like this. Hey people. I have got this phone from a friend from Italy. It is unlocked but when I receive calls with my operator in Poland the line just crash when I answer the call. It works fine with my UK operator (O2) even if I use it in Poland with Roaming on ERA GSM. So looks like this phone is not compatible with the PLUS GSM Poland network. Anyboby else had the same problem ?

Yeah the 3200 is sweet, ive had it for at least 12 months now, really easy to use and configure (as most Nokias have the same menu stucture) the camera is a bit grainy for anything more than taking a pic of someones head and shoulders, Ive also got a DKU-5 cable (uses USb, and a driver to emulate a Comm port on USB called "MAT to USB") to link this phone to my computer and using Oxygen Phone Manager, this allows me to access Everything on my phone, including the Games folder (as you'll find if you download a game it gets put in the Applications folder) and the Nokia PC suite wont give you access to the Games folder (presumably for copyright reasons) When you put .gif images on this phone, you can view them (animated) but cant set an animated pic as the desktop background, I find the Torch function on this phone is Awesome (hold down *) the 2 LED's built in are increadbly bright allthough it does drain the battery pretty fast (so do java games)But all in all this is a Great phone!!

I've had my 3200 for a little over a year and I like it very much, but the camera isn't very good -- hard to see images on the screen and sometimes takes a very long time (15-20 seconds) to actually take the picture and by then, subject has moved. The flashlight is handy and it's easy to get used to the keys. Recently a problem developed where my speaker just stopped working. Now my phone doesn't ring (still vibrates & beeps when keys are pushed) and the loudspeaker doesn't work. It isn't set on silent or anyting like that. Does any one else have this problem? Is it fixable? Any ideas? Thanks!

its not bad once you get used to it. My phone doesn't hang, i've had it for almost a year now and so far it still is on tip top condition. The camera does suck, but its a pretty cheap phone (priced). Performance-wise... i luv it! I won't sell it, im too attatched to the flash light and radio. If you have complaints about it, get a second phone like what i did to make up for the camera and the mp3 features. Hehehe.

i have this phone since 2003, december 24 before x-mas this phone is just ok but this has a big problem why this phone hangs somtimes it's battery not last long i bought it for 14,000php im very happy at first because this phone is my first mobile camera but when i discovered it's weaknesses i really dissapointed i9 own this phone for 1 and 1/2 yrs. the memory is too low for it's price 14,000php but now my phone is motorola c651 that much better than this i bought this phone for only 6,000php but still no phone is perfect my problem in my moto is when i buy it i don't have any accesories xcept for the charger i dont have USB cable and USB driver and also my moto has no bluetooth and infrared but still motorola c651 is much better than nokia 3200

its not a bad phone. i dont know why you people are complaining about the keypad. its easy and comfortable to use.[maybe u all have GIANT FINGERS AND THUNBS] the phone has also never failed me, never did shut off unecessarily like some of you have said. not the lightest phone, but still ok. and since some cant stand the "lousy camera", why dont the few of you buy a digi cam with 8megapixels. OMG! i got mine last yr, and the end of last yr it stuffed up with mulfunctioning real bad! i was so poohed bum'd and it was away 4 over a week, they gave me another phone and then march this yr it played up the pooh bum's again and was away 4 3 weeks! i was so over it, they gave me another phone. and then about 3 weeks ago it was stuffing up again, likre frexzzing, etc. and i am lilke sop pooh's tht i go to them and tell em, they tgold me to ring nokia this time, i rang em yessy afternoon and told em off, they were no help they just said get it fixed again! I hate this phone. The quality of the camera is awful, all you can see is little pixels and it is hard to make out the pictures..i have had so much trouble with it and countless bugs. I had to send it in three times i believe and each time it comes back with another bug. It was ok for a while there and does come with features but they really need to fix up the problems with what seems like 1 in 3. I would give it 4/10 overall. I guess i bought it at the wrong place...I would not reccomend to buy this phone to anyone.

I've had this phone for awhile. Some things suck about it like how the buttons are and things like that. But i have dropped mine and it has never been broken. I even dropped it into a pool of water and it has been working fine. I think it is virtually indestructable.

for quite a while now i have stuck up for this phone, saying it is only worth the money you pay so what do you expect? well, if you plan to have this phone for a long time DON'T GET IT. I have had mine for 18 months now, and the battery has gone completely. I charge it up on an evening and the next morning I go to make a phone call and the battery dies. Never had this problem with any other nokias. This phone is great...but only if you plan to have it for a short amount of time.

I've owned a Nokia 3200 for a little over a year now, and it's a fabulous phone. It's my first cell phone and I've loved it. Some of my favorite features on it include: the radio, flashlight, camera, the *relatively* high-speed EDGE/GPRS (I'm in the USA) WAP internet, and the Infrared port. I also like how Nokia was able to pack so many cool features into a small candy-bar shaped package --- when I was looking at phones, I wanted a cameraphone that was small, compact, and not a flip-phone... Although the camera is of average quality, I've been able to take some nice photos with it. The editing feature is neat, too 'cos it allows me to edit pictures without uploading them to my computer. I also like how I can upload my own ringtones and wallpaper pix from my computer, especially since the ones offered from different places cost way too much for me. The radio is neat too since I can tune into a station if I'm bored with what's on my CD player or something; provided I have the headset with me -- it was a good thing Nokia threw one in for free, although I'd like to get one of the stereo headsets they offer. There are some things I don't like about my phone, but they're so miniscule that it doesn't really matter in the overall scale of things. Overall, the Nokia 3200 is a great phone and Nokias seem to be the most user friendly phones out there, I think --- especially since you can easily unlock them for use in other countries...and the OS is simple to understand. That's a good thing 'cos if you're going to have fancy features on a phone, the OS has to be easy to use.

A few more things. I will admit, for colour screen phones, the norm these days are 65,536 or higher BUT when the 3200 was released, the average colour screen was 4096 colours and higher-end phones had 65,536 colours. Despite that, in comparison to other 4096 colour screen phones, the Nokia 3200 does a better job at picture clarity and higher colour depth. For example, comparing the Siemens MC-60 to the Nokia 3200, the Siemens screen looks terrible compared to the 3200. As another post said, regardless of the 4096 colours, "the colour is INDISTINGUISHABLE". To me it's very colourful for a 4096 and clear for a CSTN screen. In regards to malfunctioning. I can only remember my 3200 malfunctioning 2 or 3 times and it wasn't anything serious. The problem was that everything became louder. Keypad touches were much louder and when a call was received the recipient was autmatically on loudspeaker and there was no way to switch it from loudspeaker to handset mode, but that only happened 2 or 3 times and a simple turn off & back on fixed it. I have had this phone for 7 months and loving it. No regrets whatsoever.

The Nokia 3200 is the BEST phone I ever owned. Previously I had a SE-T310, my first colour screen phone and it was ok for the most part. The only problem was the memory, it came with 511KB free out of the box, out of 1MB give or take a few bytes. The Nokia 3200 also has 1MB give or take a few bytes BUT it came with 775KB out the box and to add to that, the 3200 doesn't require a lot of KB for photos like the SE-T310. I used a photo to compare the difference between both phones, the 3200 quality was more vibrant and clearer of course because of it's higher resolution and higher colour screen (4096c 128x128 opposed to SE-T310 256c 101x80). In addition to displaying photos more clearly, the 3200 uses less memory for photos. A particular photo that takes up 11KB on the SE-T310 only takes up 5KB on the Nokia 3200, which is less than 1/2. Nokia 3200 good point: good file compression. Now to comment about what MOST of you people critize: SCREEN: The Nokia's display is good. The trick is NOT to resize your photos to 128x128. If you downloaded a photo with a resolution of 400x500, leave it as is and send it to the phone, you will be amazed at the clarity. BATTERY: The battery life is more than ok for me. Last week I charged it and started using it on Monday morning and it lasted me all week. It didn't run empty until Saturday. I received quite a few calls and made a few. I also received text messages. However, I didn't play any games nor surfed the internet. The fact is that I used it right throughout the week and it lasted for a week. KEYPAD: I don't know what you people are complaining about. I find the keys quite easy and comfortable to use. I have never pressed a key and pressed both the top and bottom at the same time. Those who complain about that must have some GIANT fingers. It took me less than a week to get used to the keypad. The only drawback is that using it for long hours can hurt your thumb a bit but that�s nothing to complain about. WEIGHT and SIZE: Whoever complains about the weight and size is crazy. This is probably the lightest 3series Nokia. Previously I owned a 3310 and 3410. They were both BIGGER and HEAVIER than the 3200. The 3310 weighs 133g, 3410 weighs 114g and the Nokia 3200 weighs 90g. You do the math. The size is indeed compact. It barely shows in my pocket. If you put the 3200 on top of a 3310 or 3410 you will see that the 3200 is not as wide or tall as those other phones. I'm NOT saying it doesn't have it's BAD POINTS because like every phone it does BUT the good certainly OUTWEIGHS the BAD. NUFF SAID. My post may be long BUT I'm SURE it was WORTH the read. i actually quite like this phone. the fm radio is good (providing u dont lose your cable lol), flashlight realy cool, infared great, keypad actually ok alot better than it looks. the only promlem the camera isnt great but i like this phone for someone looking for a basic colour screen its quite cheap. and yes it is hardwearing mine has been dropped too! one problem...its scratched and i cant find any more clear covers!

The stereo Fm radia comes in very handy, and the buttons are fine and easy to use once you get use to them. Id recomend this phone to anyone who wants just a standard value for money phone. Im not using a nokia 3200 but my boyfriend does and he's very happy with it. He's been using for a year. When I bought my N7610 i realized his phone has some functions that mine doesnt! Appart from freezing sometimes when the fm is on and a msg is delivered theres no problem. The design is great! you can change the looks of the phone in a minute! And turning into a flashlight is very helpful!! Even though it fell down many times there has never been any problem. I didnt buy it coz i wanted video camera.

its totally cool and good. the features are good but the battery power is so poor and the picture quality is very low nokia wats up? another problem is that the cover is so very ugly it isnt sexy at all, the casing is clumsy and the keypad is co uncool please update. the IR is good though.

I've had this phone for 13 months. Exactly 6 months after I purchased it, it started showing chinese characters and automatically turning off silent mode at the most impractical of times. Exactly 1 month after the warranty ran out it has started freezing half way between the screensaver(clock) and the standby screen when I receive an sms. I would recommend upgrading to a SE T630 pronto for all those consumers in Australia. I give it 3/10, thumbs down =(

I like it. It's original-ish. You get to design your own covers, totally cool for a teenager. The keys are awesome, very different. Reception is kinda iffy, but that might just be my service provider. Granted small memory room, but it keeps all your stuff updated. Battery life for me is good, but I charge my phone every night....I dunno about you guys, but if you charge your phone once in a blue moon then ya, you should have a low battery life. I've had better phones, but I like this one because it suits my personality. My design cover changes on my outfit and the places I go, trust me, totally worth getting.....

I have had this phone for 4 months. 1.camera resolution is very low & 4096 colors c'mon NOKIA grow up. 2.battery life is low. 3.Gaudy keypad (can adjust with it) 4.cant use flashlight with locked keypads. 5.Phone can hang while navigating. But you can always boast of a color display and camera mobile. check out the features list it is way above the 6610 which is considered an alternate in India

This phone is OK...I've had it for over a year now and considering I use it 24/7 it's lasted very well. Only problems are the small amount of memory and a bad quality camera. I'm always having to delete pictures and texts to make room for new ones. Also, I find that the battery runs out quite quickly...but that might be because I use it a lot. It is a very good phone for the price though and if you're thinking about buying it...I'd say go for it.

Ive had this phone for a year, and i can say that it was really good. But now (with phones coming out with better features) i feel the need yo buy a new one (i'm buying the K500i soon). The screen of the 3200 could be more vibrant in colour (it only has 4096 colours, more phones have got 65,536 or even 262,000 colours), the image quality could be sharper and less grainy. Memory is another issue, you can approx. save up to less than 40 pictures on high quality. But i still love it to bits...

hey this fones reali good, got good features. THe camera isnt the worlds best but its good if u want to take a picture of sumthing in particular like an object .Like i got a reali good car picture. Also the screens bigger than a 6230's and it has a flashlight. Also quite durable

hey..im back again.. and i got my 3200... there's really no difference between the other high-end colored fones.. the pixels are just right and it doesnt matter how many colors the fone has, it's basically indistinguishable. Besides, it has a camera, a radio,a flashlight, a voice recorder, it's polyphonic and it has infrared. what else would u want?!! By the way, you need an infrared port if u wanna send mms to your PC. And if u wanna downlaod MMS via WAP, u need GPRS first!!! U can have unlimited number of pics, as long as it's still inside the shared memory of the 3200 (around 1.1 Megabytes..). Hope i got some ppl "enlightened".

Haha, almost a year I am using this phone. Basically this phone is great, and it was cheap compare to many others phone. I was so disapointed when this phone got it's price down just in 5 month. The function is great, you can get most of the 64k below java application to work on this phone. But the ringtone quite choosy, it onli support quite some midi and the nokia sound converter wont help. Nice to play, and u can customize and print ur cover, I madde a naruto cover. If anyone have this phone or any java compatible phonw,i greatly recommend u to or wap to get ur free java applications.

Shazza, i wrote before about how i work in a phone shop and i often have people asking me to do their mms for them. unfortunately this is not a problem that phone store assistants can deal with. you simply need to give your service provider a call and ask them to send you the settings. when you recieve the settings, you must activate them and swtich off your phone. i have a nokia 3200 and so does my girlfriend and we have a great time mms'ing eachother. if the network provider says that they have sent them but they dont come for weeks (common with those people lol), go to the website for your service provider and there should be some sort of thing where you can send the settings yourself. once you get settings, one way or another, you must power down your phone and wait five minutes before switching it on again. then try to send a mms to yourself. i this is unsuccessful then i am sorry but i cant help you. if it is successful, have fun with the wonderful world of pxt. good luck

This phone is so much crap when I was going to buy a cellularphone I saw this phone it had some features I liked but some I didn't the buttons were too small so I bought too phones a handspring treo 600 and a samsung v200 although the wap browser on the nokia is better I borrowed my friend's nokia 3200 to test them. I got a stopwatch and tested them with the same phone provider and started them at the same time and it turned out the samsung loaded in 3.0 secs and the nokia loaded in 6.7 secs i did the same thing with the treo and the treo is way faster it loaded in 2.2 secs.If you want to buy a nokia the best one to buy is the nokia 6220.

Very good phone. colora are way better than the 6100, 6600, 7250. option packed! great use of the voice recorder to use any sound as a ring tone, and the photo phone book is a great idea, and heck the flash light also comes in handy. a couple of let downs though the memory is too small even the preceding 7250 has 3.5megs of memory why the heck did they become tight fisted with1meg on this one? also i wasnt very pleased with the battery performance my previous nokia the 8310 had better battery life. but overall good phone for a good price.

The 3200 is pretty cool, the camera on it is a little monotonous, though I suppose for the price it's pretty good. The radio on it is an excellent feature, though a dual headset rather then the one-ear peice you get with it would be a cool addition, though at the same time, for the price, who can complain. It's a good phone, the buttons suck, but there are enough good things about it to balance that out.

hey, waz-up people? You know, nokia 3200 is a great phone. The External features: Some say that the keypad of this phone is retarded, but it only makes us more flexible in using complicated keypads. It's keypads are a bit alike of 7250/7250i---2 numbers in one key, only it's oval. If you practice using the keypad, you will be used to it (if you don't, you're an ass-wipe!). The casing is transparent, good for cut-out covers, or your favorite pics. It has POP-Port, for data transfers, which is very good, only if you know how to operate, and it's very friendly. The infrared port is easy to use, you only have to go to settings(4) and connectivity, then choose infrared and then... dwallah! IRDA==

mr mark, if you consider camera & shape, motorola E365 is better than N3200. it gives sharp and clear graphics both on the phone screen & PC. however its listening volume is too low and it does not have detailed address book (this prevented me to buy it). i am happy with my N3200 due to its large number of features. i compromised on the picture quality and shape due to the same reason.

romiasa SE T610 is one of the best selling camera mobiles in the world according to my knowledge. now it has been replaced by its advanced version T630 which is around Rs 17,800. T610 had some bugs which have been improved in T630. however one of my friends has just bought it(T610) in Rs 14,700 so it is not that expensive now (if still available in the market). can't say more about it :)

to .rAy. thanks 4 ur advs. evything has its advantages and disadvantages at the same time. sp. in case of cell phones, we can not get each and everything in one piece. i've already got it. i've been using 3100 and satisfied by the fact that this phone (3200) has all the necessary features of my old one. also has some additional features too including camera. i am supposed to use a data cable within a week or more. i'll let you know here. for nokia, upto my knowledge, none of its phone can transfer pictures or files througn IR. if you really want to use IR, take Sonyerricson (T610, T630)(an advise, on your risk) but they don't have resale value here.

I absolutely love this phone. I just got it and before this I had a Nokia 8390. Anything is better than that peice of crap. Anyway, the 3200 is excellent. Besides all the new features that I didnt have, I appreciate little things like 4-way scroll navigation, the screensaver, the wallpapers, color schemes and stuff like that. Above all, even above the camera (I love being able to put a picture to each caller), I love that I can set any recording as my ringtone. Even just something I said, or my favorite song. Its a great phone with awsome features.

Dudes this phone is awsome!!! You that do not have it don't say a thing. The keeypad is fantastic. It is easier than in other fone. I have this phone and it didn't showed a bug. It's futures are remarkable(edge-radio-camera-flashlight-photopho­nebook-voice recorder and many other) The only minus is the memory but for a mobile phone it is more than enough.

This is a very nice phone when we talk about mobile phone features but when it comes to design this is not so good. The manufacturer of this phone is violating/destroying the standard keypad. I hope that this can be revised by changing the keypad design. It is much better if the keypad of the phone is like the keypad of 6230.

Here in Thailand its price is 10400 baht (260 USD). Quite cheap because that is the same price i paid last year for a 6510 (very good phone by the way) with no colour screen and no camera. I guess next year for the same price the phone will have a built in TV :-) But at the moment i am waiting for the 6230 to come early next year to up-grade my phone.

I like this phone but the price for 3 series nokia models always fall very fast. I bought this phone at $498 without line contract less than a month and I just found out some shop is selling at $408. As I have owned one, I think the problem should be the keypad and also small memory space, other than it's ok. I assume the price will go down further, next time I may not go for 3 series phone again-no resale values. Thanks for reading.

The hole phone is great come to think of it. The only problem is the 1MB of space which is k because u can still store up to 150 pictures from ur camera. iv just got dis fone, its got more features than the 7250i like my mates got like the torch and cut out covers. BUT WHYS IT SOO CHEAP? i agree with everyone aout the buttons too. As well as looking crap, they have a kinda wall round the edge and are sunk in at the middle. This makes them feel really cheap and tacky! you need a cover with a different keypad design! Also when you buy this phone, its totally useless because unlike the 7250i in the box all u get is: phone, battery, charger. Wheres the radio headset?? you cant even listen to loudspeaker without it!! also unlike the GX10i it doednt come with any sort of PC software or PC cxonnection USB lead? A bit of a let down for nokia but ill forgive them because they have the best looks apart from the keys and fetures. They are also much easier to use and especially when compared with siemens.

The only problem is the small memory space of 1 MB, otherwise it's a very good phone. I like it very much-something different from others.

4096 colors in the screen?!! they must be joking. a 65k screen would have been nice. Nokia is behind the times with this phone. Not only does the design look amature, but the keypad is raised such that you will dial numbers while it's in your pocket. An automatic key-lock could fix this, but last time i checked, nokia only has manual keylock. what a jip! Get SonyEricsson, they are more stylish and don't sacrifice quality for the price.

The setback of this phone is the memory. It has only 1MB shared memory, less than T610. When I use T610 with 2MB space and it's already too small space. I don't understand why 7250/7250i can have 5.5MB and why not to this model. Regards.
