Nokia 6110 - User Reviews

  • Good

  • My first mobile. The snake's great play

  • You know why older phones were much better and had a very long life? Because older technology, especially phones/ smartphones were firstly designed at their origin to be endurable and pricey. Today's technology is focused to extremely powerful technology, but with they are made with weak quality materials. Why?Because today every manufacturer wants to sell as much as he can. A resistant device like it was many years ago would be a problem, because it will satisfy the user.A satisfied buyer doesn't need to buy a phone every year, that's why.

  • Nowadays there are no phones that have changable fascias.

  • It was my first cell phone,,, What a memories!!

  • 1998 > 2009 = 11 years full day use! NUMBER ONE FOR EVER!

  • welcome to the future young ones

  • Ive just bought a 6110 nokia 2nd hand from ebay..getting a txt on this fone just aint like todays mobiles..plus I want to hook up my other number to it..for txt and calls..i own a sony xperia z3 compact but wanted my vintage days back 👍☺

  • Wonderfull phone, I got 2 of these at home, both of them working.

  • I never use nokia6110 handset but when I saw the handset on the gsm website i feel myself very exited to buy this handset is it ableable now if i want to get this,,,,,,

  • My first phone of life.... Still miss it :(

  • great old days memories, love this phone.

  • cool

  • this is an alright phone, would not recommend these days!

  • My ex girlfriend Andrea borrowed me that phone when I bought her Samsung A300. :) It was sometime in 2002. Great phone indeed! From then I changed more than 50 phones, but this one will always have a special place in my heart. Yeah, Andrea too. :)

  • Wow this was my first phone, old memories.

  • What a Phone brings good memories of those days when holding a phone in hand was something. Good memories. Thank you Nokia for connecting people in real manner.

  • what a phon good network coverage internet speed good

  • Talktime: Alot Stand-By: An eternity. This is nothing but a classic. You could get this in chameleon finish.. And Snake.. Good heavens... SNAKE!!!

  • It's 2014 and my 6110 is still working perfectly fine. A+ everything.

  • Along with the Ericsson T28s, these 2 are the iconic image of a mobile phone. No matter what they invent now, there are to many phones, most of them the same (there is no design these days, all phones are iPhone 1 like) and NONE of them can be as COOL today as T28 & 6110 (Cameleon) were in their days and even now. Plus in those days a GSM device was something new and fasccinating. Now it's common, we don't admire a phone anymore, we just go for more cores, more RAM and more DPI :(

  • Woooooow I used to loooooove this phone n just the sight of it brings goood memories....I think it is the one that clearly defined Nokia as a leader in the industry I can't remember what didn't happen to mine but i'd really love to own it again. classic :-)

  • I feel Nokia product very good. Myself about nokia 6110 is it's simple configtion but facilites. sieumuachung.vn

  • This phone made NOKIA global company :-) Brilliant gadget for the beginning of the mobile telephone era.

  • my first love.... i still have it in my desk at office... TY Nokia!

  • my first phone which i used since 1999 very good one.till now it is working.

  • If the screen seem to fade and get back on when pressed on with fingers, it is just the oxidation on the screen contacts. Disasembling this one is pretty simple, u just need a sort of a small flat screwdriver and a small torx as I remember it. It has two "motherboards" in a sort of a sandwitch, with a screen attached onto one of them. Dont remember how exactly the screen is attached to the board, but it was quite obvious how to disassemble just by looking at it. Once u get the screen off, use soft cloth and just a drop of medical alcohol to wipe contacts clean. Then assemble back once its dry. Probably you'll want to replace a small battery cell you find inside the "sandwitch" - it keeps settings once the main battery is removed.

  • I am still looking 4 1, if any please?

  • Back in the day when nokia was king of the hill

  • I have one too. But the images on the LCD screen is fading so its difficult to read. Does anyone have a 6110 to sell? Many thanks, Constantine, Singapore

  • i want to buy this phone , will u

  • Ibought from market in 2012 used condition but locked after unlocking my mother is using in home and runing well bat timing is better but heavy cell phone its good and atractive phone some people laughing with me at this phone but good.

  • classic

  • After 15 years, I still have this 1st phone. Have tried my kids new phone but just cannot come to terms in toughness, clarity, reliability & battery usage. Every time in the lift after work, everyone will turn their attention to look at my phone with a 'wow' factor or 'oh my gosh !' motion despite whatever phone they were holding. Got a plastic protective cover & is a bit worn out. Phone still looks brand new despite all these years. But couldn't find any plastic replacement cover so far. How disappointed.

  • This was my second phone and possibly still my all-time favorite. Reliable, good with signal, the best worm-game! :D Absolutely loved. Almost am thinking if I could still order one online somewhere..

  • this is mi first phone ,its very good

  • My very first cell phone..after the beeper fad...It was very reliable...sound was clear and the keys were firm and fast in response. This Nokia classic will be forever remembered for its simplicity and user friendly features. A piece of history in technology. It ranks among the Betamax and the eight track cassettes.

  • Good mobile my first nokia

  • mine toooooooooo

  • In museum..

  • I've got one as a backup-phone. Works great and battery BLX-2 lasts a week on standby. It's too heavy and big to carry around all the time. And to be honest, you do look a bit outdated really using this phone in public. But I have a great love for vintage stuff. Sometimes I even take out my super Nintendo to play a quick game of secret of Mana. The old days!

  • my dads first fone

  • hey where can i find this h/s??

  • one of the best phone Nokia ever produced. I still have it nd works fine

  • one of the best phone Nokia ever produced. I still have it nd works fine

  • My first phone and the best phone !!!

  • its a realy good phone.... nd its my first phone

  • you could find this one in good condition for just $10 less, but without box instead, i cant believe this monster priced up to $200 when first come out

  • Jojo do you have 8310 & 6510

  • My first cell phone.

  • legend

  • here in the philippines we all have all sort of nokia models, ranging from the early models to the newer ones.its being sold anywhere for cheap.

  • i love the simplicity, even after owning bb for business, we want the phone, old one has broken

  • i have the phone... but it is old and i don't think it works anymore :(

  • i want to buy this mobile today but it should be in o.k.condition

  • I have this phone since it got out, and it still works, only problem is the battery, it doesn't last long.

  • oooo!! this nokia is something special!! it is almost unbreakable... indestructible:)) and what a nice messages were possible ;) @-,`- etc.... i have somewhere my deep blue oldie.

  • yea i still have this phone also 7110 and 6310i i can sell it to u..by ebay:)

  • This was also my first cell from 2000 even though it was the 5190 style(basically the same phone). I had it for 10 years until October 2009. I only replaced it because I could'nt get replacements batteries anymore, even from the aftermarket.

  • wow :) this was my first phone back in 2000. I still have it, it was/is a great phone. I bought it second hand, the price was higher than a brand new 5110, but i didn't mind. I wish i had a 6310(6310i) to add to my "phones what i wanted but couldn't buy" collection :)).

  • This phone is a perfect combination of simplicity, style, superb built quality and endurance. Just perfect! If you use one of this you really feel the diference compare with today's rubbish 15 mega pixels, 1689 mil. colors & 16 Gb memory piece of garbage. I don't really need all of this features. All I need is a mobile phone, and in those terms nobody beat 6110, ever!

  • This is my first cell phone. Ah... fond memories.

  • I still have an Nokia 6110 from 1998 and is the best 7 days battery it is for history

  • My first Nokia. After owning Motorola's previously, the 6110 was light years ahead in design, function, and performance. IMHO, 6110 is the quickest responding to keypad input, loudest speaker volume handset I have owned so far. Not even my replacement 7110, 7210, nor my current E72, are able to respond as quickly when writing an SMS or MMS. Likewise they are not as quick as 6110 when navigating Menu shortcuts. Something the combined might of Symbian OS 9.3, Series 60 v3.2 and ARM 11 600 MHz processor in my E72 struggle with... speed and response. Speaker Loudness is another area that 6110 still maintains an noticeable advantage over all the replacement Nokia's I owned. While I don't doubt I can't live without the features found in the current generation of smartphones like Nokia E series, and above. As much as I look forward to features like: - Super AMOLED - increased pixel densities to minimum 1024x576 for up to 4 inch displays - multi-lingual display support for internet browsing - return of the excellent Stopwatch, Countdown Timer, and comprehensive Converter found in the Nokia 7210 that some unknown reason Nokia did not include in E72. Worse, neither are available to purchase from the Ovi Store to the same level of functionality, or better, found in 7210!? I do sincerely hope that the latest 1GHz processor generation of handsets, offering at least 512 MB RAM, with 2GB ROM, and beyond. Bring back the lightning speed and response I enjoyed with 6110. Be it a Nokia, or another brand. I look forward to rewarding their efforts to return the speed and response enjoyed in the late nineties with 6110. By buying their latest, greatest, that delivers said performance, with Qwerty keypad. My thanks and congratulations to the R&D team at Nokia responsible for the Nokia 6110. A classic handset in my eyes, and one that I feel played a major role in cementing Nokia's dominance in the GSM market that it still enjoys today. Thanks for the 6110.

  • this was my 1st phone too!!! dont wry guys in a few yrs time ppl will pay big money for those who still has it. I have mines locked away for my grandchildren, i am now 21yrs.

  • I had this phone for 5 years, one time i had a motorcycle accident the phone was in my pocket my leg hit the fender of a car leaving a dent the size of the phone and a green spot in my leg with the shape of it for 15 days!! and keep working!!!

  • Only for Bosnia and Herzegovina: www.market.ba/mobiteli/nokia/oglas/536489

  • My First phone ever , loved every feature of it , one of the most solid and stable phones i ever used

  • Still in daily use since November 1998! Great phone, fast to use, and nowadays skilled hackers can fix its very few bugs and add new features by themselves. Currently I consider switching back to the original chameleon covers to restore the original look as much as possible.

  • Yeah i remember it.. SNAKE the game was cool to play. And the chameleon finish was gawjous!!! If i remember correctly, this had a battery life that no other phone could match at the time. That was it's main power. Classic and excelent phone.

  • such a classic. my second phone and my very first brand new phone.

  • my first mobile phone from nokia.. i never had a problem with it.. and hope nokia would make a rubberize cover like this one! or make something like this w/ a camera/mp3/mp4/radio but without the antenna! just giving some idea!!!

  • Yes this was my first mobile and I still have it in my cupboard. its a 1999 model. Nokia should start manufacturing the same.

  • Great phone, why did Nokia stop making phones of this quality!

  • One Little Story ! 10 Years Before Nokiya (%) 10 Years After Nokiya (*0000*) i Like Nokiya Very Much I Have Used 17 model why Nokiya dosent Shares all in one model its not loss for nokiya?

  • Circa 1999 Definitely Vintage Nokia! my second mobile phone, and my very first brand new phone!

  • Hi, This was the first mobile phone in my family when it was released. It was quite a workhorse. It had good construction and design. A decent display with a few features. Good battery life and excellent reception. The external antenna did work! Overall a very nice phone for those days and that price.

  • Itwas the1st mobile I've seen

  • best phone ever i want one it even looks like a walkie talkie its so cool!!! old nokia=sexy fone!!! must get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • best reception and sound from a phone since i started using cellphones in 1990. i bought it in '98. i rate that phone as the best phone ever!!!! i've owned many mortorolas, blackberrys, nec, along with cell companies. nothing has been as good as my old nokia 6110 for simply using it as a plain old phone.

  • theres a guy in the uk said that nokia 1200 supports 3g sim card. i have this phone and it supports 3g sim card too. and this phone is 10 years old. of course the nokia 1200 supports 3g sim card.

Anyone who wanna to buy this proved piece? Without charger Price is some higher than 4 pound, in slovak 200,- SKK (slovak crown), maybe we can agree on lower price. For advacned contact you can send me an mail on higher showed adress.

  • The best... ever!

  • the best ever!

  • This is a phone, not a camera with option to ring and talk from time to time!

  • One of the best Nokia made phone!

  • my first phone!i love dis phone

  • v--- you are a genius!

  • that is so old-fashioned. EEEEWWWW!

  • my first phone. i liked to gently turn it round my finger before pressing Ok for answering a call. but untill i became expert to this, the phon fall off my hand perhaps a thousand times. then it gave up falling off, coz i did not give up turning it round:) it has always been working.

  • ahh, my first phone. she was a big one, but she lasted me years and years of faithful service. i've been happy with and loyal to nokia ever since.

  • Got it after the 2110. Still have it in my drawer, almost no scrathes. Best phone I ever had.

  • Got my first one in 1998, then had 6210 (smashed), 6310i(stopped working) then a 9300(awful) Neighbour gave me a perfect 6110 and now I use it everyday! Every Nokia phone made since is of poorer quality, and not as intuitive. This one has an antenna too(so the signal goes out instead of into your hand! Who needs a colour display, MP3 player, radio, camera and all that other gimmiky garbage they put into phones? Oh, and you don't need a childs' fingers to press the buttons!

  • nikollaaa, wtf are you thinking? you're asking for bluetooth and mp3 capable from a phone that was made in the 90s? you're kidding right? anyway, this is my first ever phone... brings me back to the old days... good times!

  • isn't a good phone, it hasn't mp3, bluetooth and a lot of memory :-(:-(:-(

  • Got mine 1999 on contract, i still use it for making and recieving phone calls. The best of the best and i'll never get rid of it.

  • i love this phone..was my first phone and i still have it as a memory...lol...

  • oi it dont have mp3 or bluetooth, u fuken spaz

  • It`s the best phone ever made, was my 1stphone and I`m sorry I got rid of it. I could talk where no other person could.

  • LOL Krysta nice one! :P this is the first Nokia I used and I liked it very much

  • i love this phone but having problems locating the mp3 and bluetooth! can any1 help

  • Its a very nice and elegant phone, that one can rely on nomatter what. Many friends that I have bourght enough phones that can even worth R10.000 and still now they dont own one as they always giveout complications and I am still going strong me & my 6110.

  • once my nokia 6800 went for a repair, i use this phone for a while. i got a call and i answered it. in a shower. the phone was soaking wet and it still works like a charm. i call it the rolls royce of phones. durable, tough, simple and long lasting. why cant phone manufacturers make this kind of phone nowadays. i mean a heavy duty phone.

  • i have n-gage qd, n73 and samsung s500. used to have n6800,n6230i and n3315. and i also have this 6110. by far the simplest phone i ever use. too bad the screen cracked. been using it for almost 10 years. everything is ok except for the screen. i used to send it to nokia to get it repair but even nokia dont have parts for this legendary phone. guess its too old. if i can get it repair, i think i'll use it rather than my n73.

  • My first cellphone over 6 years ago @ 17yrs old! Got it after my dad upgraded ti the 6100. The 6110 is undoubtedly one of the best business phones NOKIA has ever manufactured!

  • still use mine today, great phone!!

  • i hav dis fone

  • belive me or not. but it is the best mobile ever made by nokia it is still working. it is really nice phone history still better than the future features

  • Its strange some people expect features in phones of 1998. This phone was feature rich for its days and is truly remarkable compared to the junk churned out nowadays that last hardly 6 months.

  • I love this phone.. it's great for throwing to pickpockets.. considering it's size and functionless functionality..

  • its vibration is similar to an electric shock but the fone itself is cool

  • I've used this phone -- first as my primary mobile phone, then as a spare and last as a first phone for my teens -- since 1998. It's a little heavier than the modern versions and it doesn't have a lot of features, but it STILL works great. Very good reception, sms, a few games... it's a real workhorse, just not fancy. I'm going to keep using this one just to see how long it will live. 8 years and counting...

  • IR is for sending contacts and calendar notes.

  • Why does this phone have an infrared port, for it cannot use data services?

  • i still use that phone its is very old and fashion people tell me that your phone suck but i care its still am phone man!!!! ucan still use it to call who cares if there are no bltooh and mp3 its stil a phone!!!!

  • Oh my God! I think there in mountains isnt very big popularity in that, what shell this phone about $500!!!

  • The best phone.I am leaving in Afganistan in mountains and I baought this gsm 2 weaks ago .The priec was 500$...Is expensive but is better than ericsson 318(300$)

  • This phone was very good on that time...

  • when i had this baby..she was the best...there were few others that could come even close...works 100% till this day...long live nokia 6110 & 7110

  • well its very very best mobile i have i like it and all frinds wanna buy it and i say 6110 is my mobile nothing else

  • my first fone, wata beast! neva broke or owt, btw the games wer snake, memory and logic! amazin :-P

  • it's a great phone! after seling my sx1 i have to use this one 4 a while... it's not so bad except it's battery lasts abt 20h and it keeps shuting down by itself =D

  • i do agree that Nokia 6110 is practical one , shockresistable but its weakness that it does nt allow me to program it like some otheres

  • wot an old fone id be dead embarased walking around with this thing!!!

  • Well this is the phone of the sencury, i have had it since 1999 and still with i always buy new phones and they brake but this phone is still iresistible please bring it back in a new model. Its my baby and my best friend!!I giv i 10 out of 10.

  • this is the best phone ever made!

  • Yeah...I agree with kol4o. This phone is very good phone. There's no other phone as good as 6610 :)

  • I'm still using it,that phone may operate even on Mars.Nokia is the best producer of phones, now i dublate it with 6310i.

  • It's a good phone, my mom have one...

  • well, well, honestly this was a very tough fone. Before I sold it to my friend, i've been used it for 5 years. It's a very powerful fone. Although the size was not popular, but it was very reliable if we use it in a extreme condition. In-deliberalety,i've been dropped it in some heigh. But, the was still working. Great! One problem that I want to tell you are that the anntena is very annoying.

  • I have been using your product since the inception of GSM operators in Nigeria and Nokia seems to be reliable communication gadgets. However we the costumer to your good company will wish that: You establish the company here in our country hence we are the largest buyers of the said products in Africa. Meanwhile i wiil also appreciate if you can send one of product(any one) through the aforementioned address as a new year bonusser.

  • mY mom is using this phone and it last 4 many years ledi. so nice huh? but some button must press hard hard then only can..

  • its fine

  • This is 2004 and my 6110 is still humming along. I've had it drop from my belt to the concrete 2 feet below and no probs (try doing that with a new phone). I can still buy accessories for it from ebay including the hands free incar kit for $7.00. The 6110 is still selling on ebay for around $40 (that says something eh?). My original battery still lasts for up to 4 days and I bought 2 new spare batteries in Dec 2003 for $8 each. This phone has to be one of the best made by Nokia. It has infra-red and I don't even use that special function. Definitely going to be a collectible item in the future. Enjoy.

  • Nokia collector's item.

  • I bought mine 4.12.1998 and it is still excellent and I have not changed battery yet - seems like new (I mean battery!)

  • super phone!!

  • It is the stupids brick i have ever seen. if you throw it it'll shash and de-rail a train its so huge... tip... make a smaller phone!

  • The only problem with this phone is that once you bought it you cant get rid of it.....I can bet....Try it.....

  • My first phone since end of 98, and i am still using it... that 4 yrs plus... very reliable phone. Tried another phone 3310 but the software is always the problem.. then i switched back to this phone. One funny moment when my friend lost this phone and reported to the police in UK. When asked the colour of the phone, my friend who was not very fluent in english can't answer the question because the phone changes colour on different angle view. After lengthy explanation, the policeman got what he meant. This is my best phone ever. Certainly not for sale.

  • how much is it for nokia 6110

  • similar to 5110, brick-like, i love the aged phone

  • 6110 is the BEST phone.I know that because i changed 50 models from old to news and each new model made form bad plastic materials and design follow the fashion.most people using phone for calling and sms not for games, because series 6 is a bussines.

  • 6110 kameleon No:1 This is my pleasure

  • 6110. I have had this for 4 years, and it is still going strong as an ox. I have lost count in the amount of times i have dropped this phone, but it refuses to break! I am proud of this phone, one of the last great Nokia's for sure.

  • Without any doubt, I can say that Nokia 6110 is the greatest mobile phone that ever hit the market. Dependable, strong, fantastically designed, it was born to rule. I have only one serious problem with it - I want to upgrade, but no phone seem to be worthy replacement, and I am not kidding. Collectors item, that's for sure.

  • I used it (NOKIA 6110) 3 yaers and have'nt any problemes;

  • best the best NOKIA 6110

  • The most relaible phone I've ever had!!! Super!!!!!!!

  • it is a great mobile phome and I am very satisfied with him!!

  • The second nokia phone i ever owned, great performance better than 5110 since it has phone memory, infrared, calendar but software needs updating. Had it chaned to transparent housing with blue and green backlights. Still love this model!

  • I bought this phone at its' release for about 500$ It really was good and handy, one of the first phone as small in '98. The first phone that I REALLY liked!!! It lasted for 2 years, and i was never bored of it! (Collecters Item)

Alina

  • collectors item

  • It's a good, reliable phone. It costs a littlt more than a 5110, but it worths. With a Li-ion battery, it's the best phone you can buy under 100$.

  • it is truly in it's own "class" the features & easy to use keypad transmitts itself like an extension from your hand-it becomes part of you. you really have to be an idiot not to like this nokia 6110...

  • the best

  • the only thing that brought nokia to the top are the changeable fascias and downloadable ringtones and icons and picturemessaging! but its quickly gonna drop to the bottom because othe phone c.s have changeable fascias, games, and mms and ems! picturemessaging is so last season! its so old fasioned and old! ems, sms & mms compatible phones rule (and thats no nokia)!

  • nokias best phone ever , collectors item

  • I had this phone for a year now, and it is one of the best designed mobile phones ever released on the market. I also still use a 5110, which is still handy to have as a spare phone. 6110 & 5110 are the best and most reliable phones ever released (pity they haven't found a suitable replacement yet (maybe the 6210). Cheers
