  • I'm currently using it, I've been using it since I bought from their initial release. I don't really have a lot of concerns about it. The camera is still better than a lot of midrange phones this day. Rather than releasing so much new phones, OPPO should also try to do a good job at updating softwares especially the Android versions on their phones. They only update the Color OS so few times in a year. This phone heats up too if you are gaming, because of the Mediatek processor. If you want to have a smooth experience after few years of using it, after opening one app, immediately shut or force close it so that it doesn't destroy your RAM and lag your phone out. Its fingerprint scanner is also now almost non usable, so take care of it. The speaker for this phone and the built in equalizer is very helpful and good though, I really love it. It still is a good phone for me until 5G comes.

  • I use third party alarm app and it doesn't work when I leave it overnight, so it doesn't work. I think it's background app problem, the same for any other apps, notification is off when left for a long time. Software update is very very abandoned. Battery life is good.

  • i updated my oppo f1s to version 5.1 whatever the latest update was and im so disheartened. my battery is now draining super fast, alarm doesn't work, cannot send or receive messages. not many apps will work now. and no one can help me. i've contacted my service provider and oppo customer service for help. i've had noting other then factory reset it. and I would do that if I could connect to my lapyot and save all data on there but my phone wont now all of a sudden even connect to my laptop. i'm super frustrated now and beyond anyone helping me.   • I've been using this phone in the last 2 years and I can say ColorOS is one of the worst mobile operating systems I've ever seen. The reason is that they are not releasing updates with android new versions. Now the youtube app is not compatible with this device. Really disappointed. Don't purchase Oppo mobiles.

  • Have had Oppo now for around 12 months. What is the go when Oppo F1s does auto system update it keeps turning my camera upside down and facing back to me. I keep going back to optus shop who has managed to either do several restores or other things to get it back but this is ridiculous and seriously thinking of changing phones. They said that I can send the phone back for repairs but will probably not have a phone for anywhere up to 3-4 weeks. If anyone has a better option could you please let me know. Like to see them not have a phone for that long and if I buy a cheap one to put SIM in then another cost to me when it is the darn phone. Cheers

  • have been using this phone since last year (March 3, 2017) and I must say it is still running really smooth. battery might need replacing soon though.

  • Been using this one since Jan 2017 in Malaysia. It still works good enough considering that I paid only about RM400 used (RM1k+ new). Battery life is starting to deteriorate as of current, heating is some minor issues. 3GB ram is still usable enough in 2018, and internal 25GB usable is enough that I don't always have to clean up (mayhaps once/twice per month). Oppo doesn't seem to like supporting their ColorOS as of recent update, honestly, so I'm stuck with Android 5.x. Only recently found out that it has fingerprint scanner and it works pretty well. Currently using Microsoft's Launcher and a custom icon pack to give it a fresh look and performance doesn't degrade much or at all, I've always disliked that ColorOS default UI (bloody iPhone UI grhh!). Fingerprint can be used to encrypt apps by apps basis, handy to hide your personal thingies conveniently ;) without having to remember passcode/pattern. However the ram management is really brutal. Occasionally it'll terminate Microsoft Launcher and use the default Home screen instead, but albeit only once every 2-3 weeks. However, don't hope for custom status bar, notification bars, or even some handy background apps. ColorOS will just terminate them even when you specifically told it not to. Even tried tinkering with securities, permissions, etc, but nada, it'll just boot it after a while. Honestly not bad if you just want it to work in 2018. Has 3.5mm jack, microUSB, microSD slot, dual SIM, acceptable speaker, no henious notch, front-facing fingerprint scanner, battery life should expect about a bit past half a day after 2 years of use. I had my HTC One X heating up not long after 2 years, wifi started busting unless you pinch the upper corner - I loved that old bugger when it used to work but holy hell did that RM2k didn't last that long. I guess it's best to just go for mid-range nowadays instead of flagships, since I'm planning to change after 3 years of use anyway. If it broke beyond repair you can just buy a new one instead of repairing them. Aiming for sub RM1k next, heh.

  • One of the worst phone ever i'vr bought. Color Os as the operating system of oppo is worst part of this phone, it got many problems and there is not update for a long time. Its battery management is very bad and last 10% of battery is completely unusable, it takes 2 mins from 10% to 1%. It is a highly lagging device. Even the camera as the strongest point of device is not satisfactory enough. Highly recommend to buy others like xiaomi or huawei, etc. Oppo is not worthy to buy.

In this manner, if these applications are locked through any sort of inbuilt lock settings (not the external applications utilized to set password on applications) they can be easily access through sharing any media file or text document through gallery or even file manager, if there is no password key set on file manager or gallery.

  • there are m using this phone from 1 year, no problem with any major issue. All quality and mobile related all function is very well work. Sound quality is as it is when buying time is with phone and perfect for all sound like hear of call, ringtones, speaker phones etc.. Dual sim work well with signle quality, hardware is also good of phone, some time phone laging and hanging like in 1 month 1 time or not. But ur data is safe with this phone coz phone can not dead in any situation just hang then restart. More apps installed so can be a problem with operation like slow speed and hang for 20 sec not more then. Its my own use and genuin reviews. Phone work like nokia. There are stainth is no long time like 2 years more then. When u use this phone u can feel as iphine or other best slim phone. Battery is good but not powerfull. Camera is really super as i use. Well i also use samsung brand but i like to prefer oppo coz samsung mobile strainth is max 1 yr not more then. U should clear memory of phone after some time to smooth use. My use is havy for internet, camera and calling there where this phone is best for me.there are easily available hardware in market and also u can repair if any hardware problem.   • for those who considering a F1s - All depends on the genuine phone i assume, as i found out that there are so many fake F1s models. i have two Oppo F1s at home. one is full time used by my wife and other is used as my work phone. phone phones i bought from legitimate dealers with 2yrs company warranty in 2016 nov after the model was released. so far i cant complain or had any issues. for one thing both phones are well used with all the basics apps and with random charging. what i like mostly about the f1s is the battery life and the Lag free OS. for those who are having issues might have to consider the facts as 1 - Always buy from legitimate dealer with warranty and always check if the phone is not a clone or copy or refurbished. 2- Dont use cheap chargers and cheap CAR chargers. car chargers are the main killer of any models. 3- humidity and cold is ok but this is not waterproof phone, dont get fooled by hoax waterproof test etc in the web. 4- this is mid leavel phone guys and worth for the price. if u need a highend model go for samsung flagships at a premium cost of course. for a daily driver F1s is good. 5- for gamers this phone might be not be suitable(this is what i feel) as f1s does have 8 cores but the processor is 1.5 GHz so pushing the phone to its limits might cause issues. 6- if you want to push it to the limits or just have little fun ROOT it....

  • i have updated to MM and rooted as well. mm is smooth agreed.. as per battery drain you have to hard reset again after mm update.. then use it for 2 to 3 days to battery to calibrate and it will be fine...

  • Good phone overall, battery is not that large so it only lasts a day or if you are streaming bluetooth music it might last 6-8 hours. Screen is good but low pixel density. Call quality is good and very stable connection to wifi and 4G. Has physical home button which you press in. Main camera is good, although not iphone good. 3GB RAM is enough for me, would not go lower. Good build quality and support from Oppo. Overall good phone for the money.

  • No. Don't upgrade. I upgraded few months back and regretted it and had to send it off to Oppo to get it downgraded back to 5. Costed me time and postage. I upgraded to 6 and found many features were not working properly. Example: top bar notification does not notify anymore. Google calender half the time won't update. Email sync not working.

  • make sure you download the right file and follow the steps on the website, doing this has some upgrades and drawbacks, one of which would be the homescreen icons not being able to be moved around and placed wherever. However it does get a nice performance boost from 30k to 40k on antutu. Enjoy!

  • Spending 18k on a phone with delicate screen condition, fully delicate body and sofware with full of bugs would be foolishness...Am using F1s oppo since 3 months and nearly changed my screen for 4 times as it is too delicate...You will not even get notifications untill you open certain application... If you're a careless person that you can easily dropped your phone in several times. This will be the problem. It will start flickering until your phone screen turns out in different colored lines and you cannot even use your phone again.(Because you can't see it) That's why I go to oppo store (the branch where I bought this phone) and they said that Its a human error. Well that is possibly true because Im careless plus my little brother who is hot tempered and just throw things everywhere. So that, They need to replace the LCD and the touchscreen of the phone. And it was really expensive. So we decided to fix it even if its expensive. Then another problem this was a BEFORE and AFTER issue that LCD and TOUCHSCREEN thingy happened. In music when I start to play some songs. There are times that It will going to stop/pause while I'm using other apps especially messenger. Take note. NOT JUST ONLY IN MUSIC BUT ALSO IN YOUTUBE OR WHATEVER MOVIES I'M WATCHING ONLINE. It was really distraction of what I'm watching .Another problem, when I was typing some message on keypad it suddenly goes down. Yes, The camera is Good I love it. Everything was perfect.   • Oppo F1S quick real life review. I've been using this phone for nearly 9 months now. Finger print sensor built into home button is lightning fast. Not sure how it compares to big brands but its pretty good. No lag, pattern and password backup if it doesn't work. Multiple fingers can be programmed and used and even used to launch applications such as the Camera. Now and again it fails and I have to delete and reset the finger prints. Then it works fine, I think I've done that twice. Camera is fairly decent. A number of features such as burst shot, HDR, and Ultra HD. Ultra HD is supposed to take a bunch of photos, combine them and produce one 51mp photo. Higher 16MP selfie camera with beauty feature and panoramic selfie feature. Which I don't use but I use I'm never disappointed with rear 13mp camera. It has a 3075mah battery which doesn't last a full day. In fact it last arounds 12 hours and for that reason I carry a Powerbank for particularly long days. Typically I have about 20-30% left when I get home from work. Depending on usage and if its not charged, you should push about 12 hours use. However, usually I have brightness right down and Bluetooth and GPS switch on permanently. GPS. Can be very slow, not sure if its an app or phone thing but if say your using Uber or Google Maps it can be irritating. In built ColorOS is actually quite good and more reminiscent of IOS than Google or Samsung. Its pretty fast and you can create folders but it has no app drawer, so it can be organised but with a lot of folders. Personally I use a Launcher and it doesn't really hinder the phones performance. Not because there is anything wrong with Color OS but because I prefer a greater level of customisation. It has a number of pre-installed apps, some Oppo and some Google. The Oppo are all pretty good, apart from the music player. It doesn't the basic obviously but has no extras whatsoever. I use the preinstalled TouchPal keyboard over a downloaded one, because its nicer and far less error prone. It has the 'swype' feature and you can download skins for it too. It has expandable storage, which was a bit of a deciding facotor for me. Lastly, there is NO UFC which means no Android Pay etc. Also means you can't use NFC tags.

  • I don't know about the other phones but the Oppo has Kingsoft Office preinstalled and seen as its Android access to Microsoft Office mobile apps, aswell as Cloud apps, Drop Box, OneDrive and Google Drive, for access to files. It has a fairly decent email client pre-installed. And personally I use the stock keyboard for typing. I find it better and less error prone than Swiftkey, Swype or even Gboard. And it does have that glide (swype) your finger feature too.

  • Marsmallow update on Oppo f1s is good. Better performance, good battery life. However, there are many options that have been taken away like you cant use 3rd party message app as default because every time text messages came, it goes back to system app default, no icon notification on Status bar, you cant drag down the notification on lock screen. I hope oppo will make another update for this marshmallow.

  • I have Oppo F1S new edition with 4Gb Ram and 64Gb, just for one week. I would like to empasize here about sensors. It has Accelerometer, Proximity, Light, Gyroscope, Orientation, Magnetometer, Rotation Vector Sensor, Gravity Sensor, and Linear Acceleration Sensor. In total 9 sensors. It is checked by CPU-Z. Battery is good for me. Somehow, during regular usage, it can stand about 12 hours and still remain about 5-10%. Camera quality is good, especialy for selfie. It has Antutu score about 41.050. F3 has some better spec, but with price different about 200$, it is good to have F1s. If.. As if.. Samsung would make a phone with the similar specification and slightly higher price, I might to choose Samsung. The problem is, Samsung price is always much higher :)

  • Phone does gets hot while charging & is really a issue with F1s, Again there is an issue with Ram Management ( As someone pointed out ) , i feel its a Bug. Hopefully , Oppo will sort that out with Android 6. I find Oppo f3 plus camera not that good , specially rear camera , either way no manufacturer has dual camera for selfie so it is no.1 in that. Only thing F3 plus rear camera has Raw support , else basic photos seems bad. Oppo F1s also has RAW Image suport. Oppo f1s sold in Australia has 3GB RAM , so any oppo f1s model will get updated to Android 6 , when thats a ??? oppo should answer.

  • Its not common for phones to get hot while charging. Oppo is not a very great brand and hence you are experiencing this issue. Always look at buying branded phones such as Samsung, Nokia etc. Nokia 6 with stock android is a great option.

  • Just to clarify : Oppo F1s has 1.5 Ghz Octacore MT6750 , 552 Mhz Mali T860 MP2 meant for 720p graphics & Screen , its a mid range chipset according to Mediatek meant for Project : Android : L & M. That means the chipset is configured upto Marshmallow - Android 6. Not Sure whether it will receive Android N. But Oppo might release Android M update maybe in coming Months as its released in AUstralia.

It is about the life of the battery is drains so fast and have to recharge it again and it wont last a aday. I play high played games and use mobile data for my internet connection. The only good thing about the phone is that is charge so fast. Overall im satisfied about the specs except the battery but im not that happy about it.   • Pretty nice phone on all aspects. best part is the 16mp front cam. Battery life is okay. Great battery life for normal usage except playing high end games. Awesome speaker and screen, most suitable for watching movies. For last the best feature is it gets charged very quickly. from 1 to 90% in only an hour.

After using it for only 4 days, i found this phone Superrrrrb. Its battery time is approx 48 hours by normal use, like fb, whatsaap, Camera, videos. J7 was also a good phone, but it had only 1.5 GB RAM, that's why J7's working speed beccame slower because when internal memory become full,it gets lowest, so many Times j7 started hanging. I fed up from Samsung J7, Note 2, Note 3, Note 4, Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy Max, LG F180, G3 and G4. Finally, one of my friends suggested me Oppo. He was already enjoying Oppo F1s, now i have purchased OPPO F1s 4GB/64GB. Keep it up Oppo.

Im also unable to use the fingure print opt for all the apps. Not worth it for price 19000. Very dissapointed by the product.

I can play Modern Combat 5 Multiplayer at Optimal Settings, 80% Render Scale with an average 45fps -- 12 players. Mali T860mp2 performs extremely well. OPPO should push through with thE Nougat Update so the Mali T860mp2 gpu can make use of the Vulkan API.

  • I just noticed oppoF1s has a sound issue, when battery is less than 40% the ringtones sounds will be coming directly at the back of the phone not fron tje bottom where the speaker is located and the sound is like a internal crackling sounds but it only applies pre installed ringtones not on music. Anyone can help me teoubleshoot this because if theres really a problem with the component the issue should also occur on both music and ringtones right? Is it normal? And after i restarted the phone it came back to normal but after a minute it goes desame and the issue isnt occuring alreadu until i charged the phone. Tried to check all while setting im unable to find anything just to make sure that this is not a settings issue. Advance thankyou for those who has an answer. 😊

  • if you are seeing the lock icon on an app in task manager, swipe it down. By doing that, you will be able to close the application

  • dude it's just simple thing open the background tasks and drag application downwards it will unlock and another usage tip is it has powerful task killer so if it may cause problems in downloading via screen off then lock the application by whom you are downloading just dragging it down

  • First of all I have an excellent experience with Oppo F1s. But two things I don't really like. one is Home Button pressing and second volume don't work on touch screen. 1. Home Button should be work with touch sensor not pushing/pressing deeply the home button. It is very bad experience to pressing aggresively to home button. 2. Secondly volume does not increase decrease via touch screen. if you want to decrease volume then you press several times to decrease volume. It should be work just like classic Android interface. If you want to adjust volume then it should be one time use volume up/down key then adjust with touch screen. Remaining good experience with oppo F1s

  • I have been using this phone since september 2016.I am not getting news alerts/notifications from news apps like NDTV,inshorts,TOI.I have taken up the matter with Kolkata service Centre.They could not do anything.I have been in touch with the customer care over phone.Their reply is -third party application they can't do anything.While all other mobiles are giving news alerts/notifications, f1s does not.I mailed the problem to Oppo India.Still they are to contact me. Has anyone found their this problem with their hand set.Please check.At this price Rs.18990 this is the worst and hopeless phone.

  • Well, I had that issue with one of my previous phones. One, the issue could be on your network provider. It happened to me before and I tried everything to stop it but it just happened for a whole day and just stopped. Second time it happened to me I tried to reset my messaging app which is go sms pro that time and switch back to the default app and switched backed to go sms pro and it stopped. it could on your messaging app. There's a possibility of a bug that causes your messaging app to duplicate messages and makes your phone believe you're receiving them again. Not so sure though but those things worked for me.

  • I have used this phone for almost 3 months. This phone works better than samsung phones for the same price. The camera is awesome. To keep the battery live longer, do not use other charger than Oppo's charger itself. Try to wait until it is fullt charged once it is plugged. I wonder if Oppo has other type with the spec like Oppo F1s but smaller.
