Oppo Reno 10x zoom - User Reviews

  • What is the max settings of pubg will it run hdr + extreme???

  • It’s not $500 plus rather it’s around $900 to $1000 in retail stores and around $700 to $900 online... It has a really steep pricing in its target segment. Most high end smartphones offers more - specs Build quality is great and it does feel premium, the only takeaway is that Oppo lacks the timely update (most of the time none at all) of its devices and their Color OS needs to be simplified. It would be a good buy if they’ll address their shortcomings.

  • oppo Reno 10 x zoom is better than Reno 2 because Reno 2 advertised 20 x Zoom but oppo Reno 10 x zoom have 60 x zoom.oppo Reno 10 x have powerful processor sd855 but reno 2 have sd730G .oppo Reno 10 x zoom IS Best i am havy to buy this phone and recomeded to all .Reno 10 x have better camera looks so guys buy this phone and enjoy Life.

  • i test this device and its camera is far far better also it cheaper than Oneplus 7 pro

  • Agree. This is first device from Oppo i liked. ColorOS needs to be improved, but overall I'm happy with first true flagship and balanced device from Oppo.

  • Reno 10x. Reno 2 is advertised as 20x zoom. But it's 20x digital zoom vs 60x digital zoom of Reno 10x.

  • Yes, Dark mode is announced with Color OS 7. For reno 10x, Color OS 7 based on Android 10

  • Actually, Sharp 903sh had the first 2x optical zoom

  • Best in class camara incredible photos Display quality touch excellent Performance excellent Design fantastic Camara 10x best in class photo

  • Camera quality is not good...as my expectations...and price also high...I think...vivo camera and display...is best....

  • Oppo is ok but audio quality is very poor in quality & Dolby Atmos doesn't support via Bluetooth headphones

  • You're too biassed. Oppo is Mr nobody in the world.

  • Nokia N93 was the 1st phone with optical zoom

  • Agree with you on the call quality. It's got awful call quality coz of the mic or mic design. For me this is a major let down. It's not good on speakerphone either. I'm not impressed by the camera either. Pics are quite soft and the shutter speed is slow so I get a lot of blurry pics. My old phone, the Huawei p20 had a more reliable camera and in particular had a way faster shutter speed so there were far fewer blurry pics when there was any movement in the scene. Cropping in on photos the Oppo reno 10x also has less detail in the pics. Apart from that I'd agree with you on all the other pros

  • No need a professional to know that your comment is fake

  • 10x zoom likes 0.010x only camera still fake only profesional photographer know this

  • Camara fantastic 10x zoom Display tech excellent Buetifull design Smooth performance Super looking phone oppo Reno 10x zoom

  • And yeah while typing the previous comment I charged my phone by 10 percent in 5 minutes. Ask apple to this with any of their smartphones out there.

  • No it doesn't have any dark mode as of yet. We might get it in android q for sure

  • I mean no disrespect to you or apple, but trust me brother, reno 10x can compete with apple in every category and i bet it will win in most of them, its has latest 855 soc, 8gb ram, fast charging, underdisplay fingerprint, amazing haptic motor, 5x optical zoom( u read it right 5x optical zoom 10x lossless zoom, 60x digital) larger battery 4000mah, shark fin popup camera, super amoled screen, dolby atmos, stereo speakers, what else do u wanna compete with? Yeah lacks only in water resistance. (No one uses their phone underwater so yeah take that point)

  • 10xzoom

  • yes it have

  • Does Reno 10X have dark mode like samsung does and Huawei does? im not a fan of white interface?

  • Fastest charging also my friend. In less than 30mins if they wanna bet with us

  • I can even charge my phone from 15% in less than 30mins to 100%

  • Yes. Agree with you 100%. I can challenge someone and everyone there with my Oppo R17 Pro. Camera, Battery, Hardware, build and software and even display and interface. If they wanna bet and contest with my Oppo R17 Pro. How much more for Oppo Reno 10× zoom. Even Huawei is dead droped.

  • Yes. Exactly. I can guarantee to you. Even my Oppo R17 Pro, can compete with any of your iphone. Face to face. You wanna try? Bet? Camera, Battery, software, interface, display, hardware and display.

  • What is the best camera phone 1, OPPO RENO 10 x zoom 2, OPPO RENO 2

  • This phone should not be more than 500-600e. It's 800e, what else to talk? And can compete with iPhone, really? I mean, really?

  • Let me help you in this mean world, I have been owning reno 10x for 5 days now and i upgrade from OnePlus 5t and i can understand your situation as I've been through the same. Pros over oneplus or any other smartphone in this price range: Amazing camera, 5x optical zoom, 10x hybrid and 60x digital zoom( tele lens will only work for photos, and pro mode) cannot shoot videos with tele lens as of now probably we might in future updates Battery is excellent can last for a whole day with moderate usage, no overheating 20 watts voox charging. Display is gorgeous, underdisplay finger print Stereo speakers really loud. 855 soc Full bezeless design. Amazing design, slightly thicker probably due to large battery and camera. Amazing haptic feedback, can compete with apple. Cons: No video recording with tele lens.(might get fixed in ota) No headphone jack No eis in front cam video.( Oneplus has) Except for above mentioned cons, there is nothing you will be disappointing with. If above mentioned cons don't bother you, then go for it blindly. Its an amazing device.

  • I love this phone and i have two of Them. Would someone like the green one ? I Will sell IT for 500 EURO. Let me know because this is the best phone there is. This is a Chinese version

  • Best in class camara incredible Fantastic design Superb oppo Reno performance

  • the comment says oneplus 7.. not oneplus 7 pro...

  • Dolby sound only works with the phone internal speaker and the wired headset using usb-c connector. Bluetooth headset is not supoorted Dolby effects. Even I felt that Dolby sound only works in landscape mode, where only you get the effects. Portrait mode you won't get any difference.

  • Better? Are you kidding me. Oneplus 7 pro has 90hz refresh rate. That alone separates the two. Fluid interface across all apps including games than ordinary 60hz phone.

  • My question ? Dolby sound function work in bluetooth connectivity speakers are only with wired headset

  • Samsung Galaxy K zoom and s4 zoom I mean

  • It's not the first phone to have 5x optical zoom, check for Samsung Galaxy zoom and I think S4 zoom

  • does this have always on display ?

  • It's the world's first phone with 5x optical zoom, no other phone has it. And u still call latest technology expensive?

  • can i remove or uninstall facebook from thus device not just disabled??

  • Best in class design Excellent Camara phone Display buetifull Performance best

  • Depends on which country you are talking about. Reno 10x Zoom MSRP is only about $570 and $560 in China and India respectively, for 128/6GB. Nowhere near the S10+

  • Phone is good but too much Expensive...

  • Funny when you mentioned that oppo reno 10x zoom cheaper than note 9 actually the price of Reno 10x zoom are more expensive than S10 plus and in the same price as Note 10 new.

  • Water resistance is a generally good indicator of solid body build structure.

  • Why do u need water resistance? Are u going to swim with your Phone or do u take a shower with it. In the rain it still works because u probably don't call in the rain but u find a spot where u can call, so i don't have any problems with raining. I use oppo F7 F9 Pro and F11 pro and now Reno 10x zoom, no problem at all because i dont use it for swimming or showers :)

  • As a previous user of Note 9 and after getting the Reno 10x..these are the pros which I noticed. 1. Almost double the battery life of Note 9 (While browsing on the Note 9 I used to just get just 3 hours SOT on LTE). I feel no difference in battery life both on WIFI or LTE, getting almost 8 hours SOT on LTE for Reno 10x. Now I am able to use the Reno without fear that the battery will drain while on the road. While using the Note 9 the battery used to drain like crazy while on LTE on the go and I would switch it off due to fear that the battery will run flat. 2. No heating at all while on LTE on the Reno. Note 9 used to feel very hot while on LTE and even sometimes on WIFI. 3. Much better camera than the Note 9 in Portrait mode, night mode and even day light shots. 4. Half the price of Note 9, I paid 1000 dollars to get the Note 9 and just 500 dollars for the Reno. 5. Average front camera on the Note 9. Shark fin is no doubt one of the best technologies used for front camera and the AI feature on the front camera beats any other camera till this date. My note 9 front camera used to get smudged by finger prints and I needed to clean it then and now for a clearer image. In Reno no such issues as the camera is neatly tucked in inside. 6. Note 9 used to take almost 1 hour 20 minutes for a full charge and if you browsed the web and watch YouTube while charging it would take longer and would get hotter. No heating on charging even if you use the Reno gaming while charging and in 30 minutes almost 75% battery on the Reno with its VOOC fast charge. 7. One UI lagged a lot and I had to factory reset the phone once every 3 months to get it running fast. Color OS 6 has changed vastly and is snappy even with all animations kept on the Reno. 8. 128 gb and 6 gb ram on the note 9 while 256 gb and 8 gb ram on the Reno for half the price. 9. Dual stereo speakers on the Note 9 was average and could not hear dialogues clearly while watching YouTube. Up to 3x louder stereo speakers on the Reno makes this the best media consumption device till date. 10. Better haptic engine and I would say better than any other phone on the Reno 10x. Now the Pros of Note 9: 1. PPI is like too good, images are much sharper on the Note 9 with better punchier colors. 2. I miss the S-Pen seriously for jotting down things. 3. Build quality, I would say the Note 9 was built like a tank. 4. Touch sensitivity is better. 5. Headphone jack. 6. Lighter than Reno 10x. 7. Overall better UI in looks and features than Color OS 6. 8. Legendary call quality of Note 9, could not even compare with the Reno. This is the only part that the Reno 10x should improve. I think this is partly because of the speaker is placed inside the shark fin camera housing. 9. Video stabilization is rock solid on the Note 9 while I am waiting for an update from Oppo to correct it to the level of Note 9.

  • Lol

  • Tell me, apart from the wedge pop up camera what major technology improvements are there that you think Samsung is failing on ? I'm interested

  • Why cheated ? Did Samsung twist your arm behind your back and demand money ? Or did they say they offered 10x zoom ? If the answer is no to these questions then Samsung didn't cheat you, you made a choice to buy the note 9, it's a shame Samsung and other companies can't take fools like you to court for misinformation or falsification of details

  • Man, recently changed from note 9 to the 10x I felt I was cheated by Samsung all these years.. the display of the Reno is so close to note 9 display, only thing it lacks is the high PPI of note 9. And the UI, I have got used to color os 10 now..I don't think I will ever go back to Samsung until something drastic happens in the way of technology. Some things I felt Reno could have been better is the aluminum frame thy hv used, not as durable as the series 6000 like Samsung uses. New software update with wide video in camera and all should make it a great phone in the coming months. Also Reno should hv used screen casting for top speaker as I am having difficulty hearing the voice only in crowded places, but indoors it's crystal clear.

  • Well it doesn't specify that it's wireless so unless you read it somewhere else it's your own fault

  • Fingerprint sensor has certification??

  • Also, no waterproof means no sale in the Netherlands. I don't need the stress of ruining my phone when it rains. And you know that it happens quite often here.

  • If the country doesn't have 5g yet then the phone Will not be launched in that country just like Holland if there is nog 5g what the use selling phones with 5g.

  • Not Dust Proof Not Water Proof Finger Print Sensor Not Certified No 3.5 mm Audio Jack No Radio No Wireless Charging It Would Be Better If The Battery Is Above 5mAhdue to AMOLED display, AMOLED is not the latest, there are Super AMOLED, Super AMOLED +, OLED, Fluid OLED, Flexible OLED.

  • So.. got the phone.. realized.. no wireless charging.. just a heads up in case you miss it.

  • That's cos of how your import system works. To be honest a few stuffs is bloated there. Something that can be as cheap as 10usd become 35usd in just a blink cos of tax and etc.

  • It is quite a unique designed phone... But missing wireless charging is a big deal breaker... Reno 2 perhaps... :/

  • I am not biased. This is my first Oppo phone, and I love it. Please don't listen to all the people who blindly bash Oppo. Theyre improving everything and it's best we be support through their time of maturing into a real contender to Samsung and Huawei. Ive used phones of all kind, Apple, Samsung, Huawei, LeEco, HTC, Pixel, so I consider myself pretty well informed in the smartphone community. I want to start by addressing Oppo themselves as the phone itself isnt the problem here but rather the company. OPPO, you better keep this phone updated OPPO has a for lack of a better term s*** track record when it comes to updates. The flagship Find X is still on Oreo even though it's still a fully capable 845 powered glass sandwich, OPPO's biggest problem now is their software experience and their consistency, the Reno is enlisted in Android Q's closed beta but we should be garunteed 2 years of Android updates atleast. OPPO, ColorOS needs work ColorOS used to be a shameless iOS clone and I can't say it still isn't, it's gotten some iconic Android features it used to be lacking such as an app drawer and original app icons. ColorOS still sports complete Apple designs of apps such as the clock app and the calendar. This is ridicoulas and unacceptable

  • Hi, Ive been in China for the past month with my family to see our extended family. Ive lived in North America my whole life and unfortunately with experience in buying Chinese phones to use in America they often cost way more with the import tax. The Reno 10x Zoom will cost the same as most flagships these days and honestly you'll be better off getting those flagships too unless you really like the pop-up camera design. Since my stay in China I've bought the standard Reno and a Reno 10x Zoom Edition. These are both competent phones and some of the best with the only real complaint being the lack of wireless charging and a crappy UI. This phone costs near 500-600 bucks here in China so if you have a friend living here willing to help you buy and send you the phone its a great deal as it has an amazing camera and flagship hardware for mid range prices but in America plus importing tax it's only a mediocore buy as it is outclassed by the S10 in more ways then one, if you want one of the best cameras it may be worth picking up on either aliexpress or gearbest as they offer the lowest prices. If B&H has it def check them out as they don't have such high import taxes. But overall I love my Reno's and they are Oppos first competent line of phones. I hope this helped you and I'm back in America soon, I'll let you know how the Chinese version works with my us carrier since they're band comparability is a bit sketchy. Overall nice and competent phone however it can't be obtained at it's MSRP outside of Asia

  • Yeah, the Reno line is enlisted in Android Q beta

  • does any one know how to check screen on time in battery settings?

  • Under screen camera technology won't be coming to smartphone anytime soon. There are news on it

  • is the motorized front facing camera obsolete? it could be that next years flagship will all have under screen camera, then it will be the final form of non articulated phones

  • That is the pixel 3,iphone xs, s10 plus n the p30 pro

  • You mean normal one not this one...

  • It says 10x but its 60x zoom

  • I want waiting next year 2020 Reno 2 using Sd865 with internal 5G modem(coming soon) plus 12gb ram+512gb storage (UFS 3.0).Might be the market price set at RM3,999.Ha ha,Hope it could be true...

  • Yes Its 5x Optical Zoom and 10x Hybrid Zoom like the P30 Pro

  • What is best know feature of Chinese Smartphones? No 3.5mm audio jack.

  • "Oppo Reno 10x zoom" "Periscope 13 MP, f/3.0, 130mm (telephoto), 5x optical zoom" Am I missing something here?

  • I think the moving selfie camera means you won't get water resistance

  • Go for Mate 20 X

  • RENO 10x ZOOM vs ONEPLUS 7 PRO vs HUAWEI MATE 20 X looking for a masssssive phone (i have huge hands i'm like 6"10) with a good camera experience, strong storage at a decent price as i buy sim free (i work for a mobile provider so i get insane sim only deals) I install and use Niagara launcher all the time so software experience isn't dreadfully important/. which one should I go for people of GSM ??

  • it supports MicroSD, up to 256 GB

  • Thanks..... What is the use of the user seeing this signs behind the phones everyday and night ....the law should be Altered as it is ruins such beautiful phones.

  • 210g, 162mm, 9.3thickness need to be IP68

  • For European Market. It is a symbol that proves that the phone is build according to the European Laws.

  • Why do some of reno devices have CE rohs symbol on Back of the phone.....it ruins its looks ..... Any insight about this...why?????

  • It's 2019 already. Don't you know that there are a lot of earphones that support type C? Lol

  • I own the device and I can assure it support Netflix in HD.

  • Fantastic design ilove oppo renno Wowww 🥰 camara exllent incredible Perpamence super fast Stereo spekar exllent All in Best oppo renno best

  • Could be because: 1. Oppo's heavy advertising campaign here drives the pricing up. 2. Mandatory "minimum local content" manufacturing costs higher than just straight importing. 3. Greed. 4. Combinations of the above

  • No dedicated memory card slot, no buy

  • It doesn't support HD streaming on Prime video and Netflix though it has L1 certificate 😒

  • why so expensive in other places??

  • They provide usb c headphone which do the job

  • There is NO 3.5mm Jack in this phone? dumb! . How can we play games using earphone/headset (games such as PUBG, Mobile Legends, ROS, Ragnarok Mobile, Auto Chess) . playing games without 3.5mm Jack is scandalous, specially in public area, resulting to NOISE and disturb other peoples around.

  • Is it good for heavy games

  • I think i finally found it on Oppo's official website and Some Huawei's website, they both have same width(77.2mm or 3.04in). Which is quite identical in the width measurement. Smartphones become skinnier these days and i prefer those with more width specially for gaming phones.

  • Reno x10 is ever so slightly bigger than the Mate 20. 6.6 verses 6.53

  • I'm using this phone as my secondary driver. Although I'd prefer Oxygen OS over Oppo's, it really doesn't matter to me as I use it mainly for media consumption, photos and gaming, which it works great at.. So, great buy. Cheers.. !

  • It's released today in my country (available at 28th June). Only 256/8 GB variant. Price in home country China CNY 4800 ($720), here it is approx. CNY 6280 ($940). What a rip-off...

  • My opinion: OnePlus' Oxygen OS is far superior than Oppo's ColorOS. Some people can tolerate Oppo's crappy Android skin as a fair compromise for an Oppo phone's camera capabilities. Personally, I prefer the phone with better software.

  • Check Mi9 or Zenfone 6.

  • Can Someone Tell me which one has more wider screen Oppo Reno 10X Zoom Vs Huawei mate 20 in their dimensions measurement. I'm Planning to get Oppo reno 10x zoom if the width of the screen is same as Huawei mate 20 which i have had. Appreciate your help in advance Thank You

  • Almost a mont now still cant decide whether Oppo reno 10x zoom or oneplus 7 pro? previously owner of oneplus 6 and currently using pixel 2xl.. anybody who own this 2 mobiles i need ur comments..

  • I own both S10+ and Reno 10X for over a month, personally opinion below (BTW, my S10+ is the snapdragon 855 version) S10+: Great screen - but the stupid camera hole that ruined the experience for daily usage (you can force the app to "hide" the hole, but it make the purpose of the full display screen become pointless) Great camera - but lack the zoom higher than 2x. Good battery life - standby with WIFI/4G can last for a bit over 2 days without charging. Reno x10: Above average screen - but really real full screen usage experience which significant better than S10+ for day to day usage. Great 5x camera zoom - but not you can not use it for taking video with more than 2x zoom (at least with the latest June patch) Great battery life - standby with WIFI/4G can last for over 3 days without charging.

  • You can disable the AI face feature to make your face back to normal. I found the AI feature will smooth and rough out your face while taking picture. It's good for Asia people who love to smooth out their face, but for other region it probably not good idea.

  • I got it as gift from a Chinese friend. I had been using it since mid May. Hardware is great but the ColorOS really is trash and you will have to disable lots crap there before its really usable for north america user. You are only able to use two times zoom feature for taking video (at least with the Chinese version with the latest patch released on early June)

  • Oppo Reno 10x Zoom for me, no screen eyesore unlike the Samsung S-Hole. And it's significantly less expensive.

  • Phone launched today in the UK and I pre-ordered it on the 10th and all I can say is WOWWWWWW. i love this phone This phone does NOT feel like 6.6 inches This phone does NOT feel like it weighs 210 grams Honestly, I've been using this phone for 1 hour and I already love colours OS. Front camera makes me look a bit rough tho

  • Oppo reno 10x zoom or Samsung galaxy s10 plus???

  • Is there any third-party app that can record video using the telephoto cam and/or ultra wide cam??

  • I think i don't like that u have to need to camera setup popup even for rear flashlight. If u walking in the dark if u turn on the flashlight whole front camera setup will popup...

  • Hi, does anyone knows how to install google play on china version of Oppo Reno 10x zoom? Thanks

  • How's oppo with updating?

  • In india lauching tomorrow. Pre booked . 1year display replacement. I accpted for that offer.. pricing 49900 .oppo reno demo is superb camera too good. Innovation technology. Loved it

  • Please To whom bought this phone How much does it cost in american dollars What about the middle East is there any chance to obtain it soon in a suitable price

  • Hello All, Please I need your opinion to buy a mobile with 855 soc within the cost of 2000 AED

  • I'm pretty sure the only reason the S10 5G has higher is because it has a curved display, which minimises the side bezels.

  • GSM Arena's review is up, and this phone delivers. However, Oppo, if you read this, I beg you to update the phone and implement these features (Afterall, you seem eager to outdo Huawei): - Video recording using the ultra wide and the periscope cameras. - Smooth transition between the three cams during video recording. Never mind if it is limited to 1080p only, still much better than no-option. - Option to record higher bitrate audio during video recording. Please don't disappoint and thanks.

  • I Saw this video too, Reno is better that P30pro in everything except in 10x zoom video recording. Weird, i hope that will can be fixed.

  • The main one I see is from the guy who got the launched version from china. I think oppo might not update the software...i have checked the reviews of other phone with telephoto cameras....it seems that it is common for the video filming to use the main camera only. I have been waiting for this reno but I want a phone with good zoom for video. Might be getting a mate 20 x despite whats hapenning to huawei.

  • >advertised as 93.1% screen to body ratio >actually calculated as 86.6% >Galaxy S10 5G got a 89.4% >and still has a headphone jack nice try Oppo you can't fool us all

  • No. Unless Oppo updates the firmware to enable it.

  • I saw that video too. The 10x video was totally lousy, and seemed to be just a digital zoom from the main camera. Whereas P30 Pro switched between the three cams (yes including the ultra wide one) during filming, Reno 10x just utilized one cam and thus failed badly when zooming. So far virtually all reviews state that they are using non-finalized firmware, but it is getting a bit long in the tooth for me. Hope Oppo eventually address this issue sooner rather than later.

  • Is it possible to take ultra wide videos with this?

  • Does any one know how good the zooming is when video filming? I have searched all the reviews online (in eng as well as in chinese, etc). Only one guy tested video filming and the 10x zoom totally sucks (looks like 100% digital zoom). Can anyone confirm?

  • Thank you very much. That shootout is amazing. The Reno 10X is superb!

  • Another shootout between Oppo Reno 10x Zoom and Huawei P30 Pro, by Gizmo China. I hope GSM Arena will come up with their own shootout, in addition to the full review article.

  • It really depend on market, and when it comes to China brand, they actually focus their own home China market first before go out and sell at other country. This is their strategy, and nothing wrong with that. So, eastern market do appreciate bigger screen smartphone. If this is not the right phone for you, simply just choose other, that's it. But please stop bashing why it doesn't release a smaller version for capturing more market buyer. Short answer is manufacturer is cutting cost to focus on one size flagship rather than focus on 2 sizes of the same specs flagship.

  • We were talking about back in the days when 5.5" was a normal screen size, which it hasn't been for years, and around that time the LG G-series was much more popular than now. Popularity decreased with G5 though and never returned. Sure, iphone 8 Plus is one of the most recent 5.5 inchers, and it is bigger than the age old LG G4 with it's 158.4 x 78.1 x 7.5 mm dimensions. Not really sure why bringing up iphones makes any point, though. If you want a small phone, then go buy a small phone. I'm and adult and kiddie sized phones are not for me.

  • you understand that you gave a bad example right? LG don't make profit in smartphone division, and it's for a reason. I'm not saying that it's because of huge phones, but giving an example of a company that is know of bad decisions over the years...well is just bad. best-selling phone of the year (2018) was iphone x and second iphone 8, only third is a huge phone (iphone 8 plus). that means something for the companies to reflect. people don't care that much about bezzels. they care about size and price, good hardware and great support. oppo reno will fail bad in europe or rest of the world. 210g really?

  • was about to agree until, "Google, Apple and Samsung understands that...wonder why...." lols.

  • yes u are right, gsmarena usually writes it if the device support it. i think up until this year, usb 3.x still become premium thing in android phone.

  • Amazing phone really up there with the top brands (Samsung, Apple, Pair and Banana)

  • I never said that. In fact I know Im not. I just wished companies look other markets than India or China. In those markets a smartphone is the only gadget they can aford. Its their first camera, first phone, first multimedia player, first music player...i understand that for them the bigger the better. Makers dont build bigger phones because people have seight problems, they build them because poor countries are on the rise and demands them.

  • Who says you are the majority since companies just keep making bigger and bigger phones instead of smaller ones?

  • Back in those days devices had big bezels. Now they are almost non existence and still smartphones are bigger. That doesnt make sense. Remove the bezels dont make them bigger. Im pretty happy with my 5.5". I dont need a bigger screen on my phone just leaa bezels. Ive an htc u11 and i think the device is to big and heavy for me carring around all day. I miss my htc 10 form factor but with a bigger screen. Pixel 3 is a contender for my next phone same screen, smaller bezzels. Iphone xs have it but i cant live with that huge chin. Samsungs make holes thinking is better..i dont mind small bezzels on top or bottom, just dont ruin the screen. Ofc, im not expecting all people to have same tastes than I, but all makers are all builing same big devices, only 3 brands make small good devices, samsung, apple and google...

  • You are not the majority of people, and all devices have features for people like you. Just use them. If you need a larger screen get a tablet or enjoy real life. You dont miss much wasting your time looking at a screen.

  • Hmmm, let's journey a few years back in time, to 2015 when a flagship phone screen could be 5.5". The LG G4 was 148.9 x 76.1 x 9.8 mm, which is a very similar size for one handed use as this Oppo with it's 162 x 77.2 x 9.3 mm. Sure the Oppo is taller, but that doesn't really matter to how it feels in one hand.

  • Some people, like me, require large screens to be able to even see simple things so while you don't like big phones some people see them as miraculous devices that allow people with limited visual capabilities the same thing as anybody with small phones and good or even great eyes.

  • Are you sure about that? Because I just made some research and found that it is only 2.0. I guess they would have mentioned it if it was 3.1 since it's an upgrade over what Xiaomi offers as an example.

  • Type-c 3.1

  • USB 2.0 with Type-C?

  • Dimensions 162 x 77.2 x 9.3 mm (6.38 x 3.04 x 0.37 in) Weight 210 g (7.41 oz) why retard companies only make huge phones? and worst they are getting bigger and bigger. PLEASE stop make phones only for China or India. I understand those are huge markets, but if you want to sell outside those markets stop building crap that we can't carry in a pocket and are too heavy for day to day use. I guess only Google, Apple and Samsung understands that...wonder why.... you are making my life easy to choose a phone this year, please make it harder. Only a few are

  • Oppo please fix Color OS, make it more stock. Work on JPEG processing (chroma noise, detail rendering) and you have first worthy competitor to P30 PRO.

  • While I so feel that other person calling you an idiot is uncalled for I do also fell sd card shot really doesn't take enough away to make that much of a difference

  • Ah, my bad. Thank you for the correction

  • It’s UFS 2.1, snapdragon 855.

  • Hahahahah.

  • Agree with you about update oppo find x still on Oreo to date and the phone cost as expensive as iPhone XS.

  • 210 g...it is definitely a tablet

  • When it's actually released ... as usual!!

  • I think you might need to look on XDA developers. They might already have the APK

  • only if this was android one :(

  • When aqre GSMArena going to test Oppo Reno 10X zoom phone? Also a test compare to Huawei P30 pro and the rest flagship phones?

  • yeah, it has stereo speakers with dolby atmos :)

  • So, it should be rooted to work with GCam? Or TWRP to be installed? Very strange step in 2019... When every brand on SnapDragon try to make products with HAL3 activated by default, OPPO does opposite (((

  • Does it has stereo speaker?

  • In my country this phone is much cheaper than Galaxy phones and P30 Pro too skinny for me

  • USB-C in the box same as mi9 so not big of deal. After using phones without 3.5 jack like Htc u12 plus, iPhone X, mate 20pro and now mi9 phones without these staff looks more elegant and yeah that’s including SD card these features should comes only with low and mid range phones but not with flagship level of phones cause it does makes flagship looks like low and mid range phones.

  • This phone aren’t cheap as people think it cost same as P30 Pro, S10 and S10 plus after adding tax.

  • I don't think i'd ever own an Oppo phone tbh. Bringing out a 5G phone, owned by the same company that owns One Plus, Vivo and RealMe. Yet when it comes to support and updating the devices, it's non existent :/ The Reno 10x Zoom i'd say will retail for about £520 here in UK (that's even it's going to get a global version) probably the same price or more expensive than the One plus 7 and apart from spec wise, tbh the main selling point for me, is that at least OnePlus update their devices. Even the 3T has a closed Android PIE beta and yet Oppo can't even update devices like R17Pro or Find X to PIE :/ Was thinking of getting this or Honor View 20 but I think i'm better of getting the V20. I get monthly security updates on my Honor Play, I have PIE and tbh EMUI (or Magic UI on the V20) looks so much better than colors . Atleast I know with Honor I won't be spending a certain amount of money on a phone that doesn't receive monthly security updates

  • No headphone jack kills it.

  • True, though do keep in mind that software, speakers, availability, versatility, and screen would be better on the Note

  • Alright, that's it, the Reno 10X is on my wishlist if Note10 sucks, that 6.2in version better impress

  • Doesn't it cost 600 though?

  • UFS 2.0 by the look of it

  • No, yes, no

  • Has it IR-port (for TV-remote), as MI6 & MI9 have? Has it OIS for video or for photo only? Has it GCam support "from box" (i.e. camera2api activated)?

  • Don't you want SD855?? SD712 is just a slight clock bump from SD710

  • it's not 16 dude, learn how to research, start reading and downloading manual from the device so you can get the acquire information about the product

  • should be SD712 for Oppo Reno 10x zoom vs SD710 for oppo reno

  • Can anyone please verify, if the internal storage is UFS, and which version? TIA.

  • I think the ultrawide camera is 16mm, not 13mm

  • My mood also. The popup camera module is a death sentence for the phone to reach IPX7 anyway, so why not just slap a headphone jack when it already costs $800+?

  • Me too. Add to that, compare the stabilization and audio recording quality during video taking.

  • Definitely can not make it dust & water-resistant due to the pop-up mechanism.

  • I am waiting for the Hands on Review of GSM Arena for this phone with comparison of Pics and camerashoots with P30 PRO.

  • Best phone till date but where is dust and water ip etc but ye to mi 9 ka baap he ois big screen for game and computing

  • Phablets of yore (dell Streak, Note 1) were as big or bigger ... Wth you are talking about...

  • After seeing Oppo Reno series specs, this feels just like Oppo R17 series where you either have the 3.5mm jack or the microsd slot all over again!! Seems like Oppo is he** bent on getting "profits" from both models & has not learnt from that!! Why can't Oppo Reno series have BOTH essentials as STANDARD at these prices?!

  • The phone is amazing but the only thing keeping me off is the exclusion of wireless charging.

  • Will there be any android update later or there will be only security patch update.

  • Looks like a great rare camera that has optical zoom but ruins it by making it too small of a phone. At a 19.5:8 screen ratio this is yet another phone marketed as "big" but actually too thin to even show videos without cropping part of the video or screen. At these extreme 19.5 screen ratios & thin bezels you could have a 7.5'' to 8'' phone and it would still fit inside all jean pockets. It blows my mind how not a single manufacturer will just go big and not be ashamed of it. We don't need $2,000 foldable screens. Just a single big one.

  • the f... Its so big. imagine this going under your pocket its really uncomfortable to hold.

  • Oh god. Please stop making devices bigger! This is way too huge... 6" is totally sufficient... At least for me, but I am sure I am not only one.

  • Bigger and cheaper version of P30 pro. If you like big phones thrn go for it. I don't think Oneplus 7 will have such a good telephoto lens.

  • 1) the shark fin pop-up camera 2) the horizontally-placed periscope zoom camera Oppo is pretty much well known to put form over function way more than Apple

  • Probably the motorized pop-up mechanism? Also the liquid cooling with heat pipe?

  • Thank you asuraswrath! Its a really nice phone hardware wise but..no updates...is...bleh. I guess I ll wait. Thanks again you made my day by avoiding a potentially bad purchase :)

  • have the oppo reno zoom 10 x, a.i.

  • Wait, and it's also thicker at 9.3mm? Does Snapdragon 855 really take that much surface area?

  • WTF? I thought making higher body to screen ratio should make the phone smaller not larger. I'm excited to see competition to P30 Pro's telescope but at 77mm that's wider than freakin Note. It's also taller. P30 Pro at 73mm would be way easier to handle. Also what's up with only 4000mah? Shouldn't larger surface least make the batter larger like 4500mah if doing the math? Otherwise, wtf do they stuff inside this phone??

  • only if this was android one :) would be best choice 2019

  • No, Oppo is announcing the 5G Variant April 24th.

  • 4000 Yuan for this, which is approx £455 which is still MUCH cheaper than the A80. Only thing that would make me want to go for the A80 over this is because how light and basic One UI is, making it much easier in my case going from EMUI to One U. ColorOS just looks complicated and if i'm honest looks a mess, just wished color looked like OxygenOS

  • There's only a 3.5 mm jack will only be available in the Reno variant (the standard)

  • Doesn't the phone also come with support for 5G?

  • Mate since this phones been on GSM I've had my eyes on it, and if that price is correct i'd snap it up especially with these specs but from what I've seen Oppo is AWFUL when it comes to updates The comments from that video says it all and looking at the Find X (that's meant to be their flagship phone) yet it's still running Android 8.1 Colors OS the layout doesn't look nice imo. I'd wait for the One Plus 7 and Reno 10x Zoom to get officially announced, compare the specs and price tag and then make your mind up. But if you want a phone that lacks updates mate, go for Oppo

  • New camera king is here! Periscope spec is awesome, no P30 Pro.

  • Perfect phone, but far too big :(

  • it has 3.5mm jack and 10x lossless zoom

  • Also it has HDR 10 Display which is also not covered and it has Stereo Speakers, it has dedicated Game mode,.

  • May I ask if anyone with experience with oppo phones, how are their ota updates if any? Ie 2 year support with regular security updates, 1/2 major android updates (I mean, its a flagship after all)?

  • this or oneplus 7?

  • Some of the Details not covered the phone is equipped with Dolby Atmos + Hi Res Audio, which is not mentioned kindly add these details.

  • this will be my next

  • Pop up camera

  • Don't forget zero update, crappy products.

  • hows selfie? where is it?

  • its got all the bells and whistles, just missing that headphone jack but with the rumoured price of £550ish honestly it sounds such a good phone with the sleek screen, hidden camera and the under screen touch sensor.

  • 9.3mm and no waterproof, then why it doesnt have 3.5mm headphone jack

  • Oppo copied Apple down to a T, including its crappy after-sale services. They may be innovative in some ways, but they're the biggest Apple fanboys up top with Xiaomi

  • Oppo, or should I say, Oddo, their after-sales service sucks donkey balls. Pretty similar with honor, despite huawei superiority. If they want to bring a flagship phone with flagship price which competing with samsung, probably starts with improving their service too...

  • This looks good with its specs and with the right pricing. no more overpriced please OPPO!!

  • Will this version also be 5G capable? Or will there be an Oppo Reno 10x 5G?

  • The lack of headphone jack on this thing disturbs me. If the specs are good, if it has Global Bands, and it has Wireless Charging, I may suck it up and nab it if the price is right.

  • I think it is better than oneplus 7
