Sagem VS2 - User Reviews

  • I need the English version of the Sagem VS2 instruction booklet, can anyone help please?

  • This is good phone because everyone can't afford to buy means out of 100 people you can find 2 or 3 person using the sagem phone. The company don't have too much stores in india. it has maintained it's dignity. i think its battery backup is good and is suitable for executive class people.

  • I am seeing MMS supported, but when i chked it on the Phone it is not there. Also Browser is not there. But GPRS is supported. How GPRS will work without the Browser. Also How MMS will work without network. CONFUSING SPECIFICATION.

  • my phone freezes while still on and by so doing i can't receive or make calls when in that state. when it does so i will have to switch it of and switch on. when light is of it freezes

  • For those of you that have posted your opinions asking for bluetooth, more memory, mp3 player functions etc. you have abviously bought the wrong phone and are too used to all the fancy stuff that comes with a new mobile phone these days. This phone has been advertised on the market as a basic mobile phone for anyone with basic functions only. Calling & sms messaging etc. If you want more functions from a phone then dig deeper into your pockets and go spend MORE money! I think this phone is great because it does exactly what you need, makes calls and messages that is all. Well done Sagem/Vodafone.

  • i am having one and about it size and operations it's good.but it could have been better if had a built in camera, bluetooth, more polyphonic ringtones to choose from and an mp3 player.anyway i like its screen display and the graphics.

  • i like vs2,but the only bad thing is that no gprs and it suppose to came with camera and to dwonload ringtone all these need to be had to it.and with memory card and any other things that will make it good.

  • I have just bought it and I can't wait to put my hands on it. I am young and I love the idea: calls, sms, alarm and that is all I need from my mobile. That is what mobile should be, in my opinion. I also like that this phone is pretty big and heavy. Hope to enjoy it a lot...

  • this phone already looks troublesome with such keypads. Looks like em flimsy plastic keypads that has no edging support between one another.

  • great phone for those who just need to make calls and do not bother with camera , radio and all those frills,i bought one because the reception ability is excellent, when other phone are listing network not available this phone was able to connect and detect even where the reception is poor.

  • i dont think i like the phone because,it has no download menu.and its memory is not that very much.

  • the phone is nice one but the bad thing about it is that it has limited features i cnnot dowload even ring tones at least with the usb cable one should be able to down load some info thanks

  • the phone is nice one but the bad thing about it is that it has limited features i cnnot dowload even ring tones at least with the usb cable one should be able to down load some info thanks

  • i think this is the simplest phone in the world.vs2 is ideal for all irrespective of age, social class and education level because it's uniqueness is second to none. i suggest that vs2 comes with a downloadable cable. i need one badly for my vs2 phone.

  • DuH! This phone is targetted to middle aged(?) ppl that need NO complex menus, NO fancy features JUST the typical such as easy to read BIG keys asy to read Big display with HIGH contrast easy way to lock and unlock phone keyb through a huge switch on right easy Incall and system volume customization through switchd on left and right side easy notification about lost calls, Incoming messages through the top right blinking button Easy way to get back to main screen through the press of the upper left button easy acces to three most called numbers and phonebook through the upper middle button and last but not least All the Info an adult with no or little tech knowledge would like to know such as battery level, network signal, sound profile, time and date, and own number all these are located on the main screen with BIG letters also this phone provides visual tour of It's features through a tour guide which is dedicated to the left shortcut button just below screen All in all It's a very bright design and with mind to ease of access and basic featured phone targeted to groups that want only a phone with NO fancy features and complex menus, It's priced pennywisely around 65euros and the only bad Is It's battery whih lasts for two days.

  • Pls Can u people add bluetooth & infrared to the function of the phone

  • this phone is useless, looking at the body it might mislead somebody that it has enough feature to boost of, this phone have much waite, i hate the phone, i am saying it becos a friend of mine bought one, and now he is regreting,

  • I think that this phone is stylish but it dosent have much features.I like it

  • this looks like a really cool phone i want it i disagree with that other rude post comment i think this phone is great i know someoone who has it and its really cool!!!#1

  • Its a very nice and unique cellphone, Why I savor it; is becos out of 100 users of Sagem, hardly U will find 3 people using it, as such I stand out in a Million with my VS2.

  • Dumbest phone ever, what was Sagem thinking while creating this monster,it's an absolutely useless phone. No downloads,np good ringtones, damn.

  • I sell mobile phones. I know this phone is rubbish. It is not easy to use and the large screen is misleading as the font is small in comparsion to the screen. If someone puts their sim card into this phone its copies all its no's to the memory and you cannot delete all. You can only delete them one by one takes forever. Simply is Nokia.

  • @ Luke Coz Vodafone cost a lot

  • Just got a VS1 for myself (I'm 42) and a VS2 for my son (he's 15). He wanted one I wouldn't put thru the washing machine and he thought the VS2 looked cool because it looked like his PSP (he loves that none of his friends have worked out how to use it too). I wanted one to replace my old brick that I couldn't get rid of because the others were too small for my fingers and the writing was always too small to read. This phone is great with the main features on the outside but with modern features which weren't on my brick like polyphonic (and LOUD) ringtones, predictive text etc. Love the flashing message thing! If I could say an improvement it would be could they make one with easier to read letters on the keypad (for even older people) and adjustable size of font on the display pad. Good thinking Sagem and Vodafone!

  • I think Vodafone are just getting better by the second. Why would anyone want to use any other network instead of Vodafone? They're the world's largest mobile community... support it!

  • Is it possible to download other ringtones?

  • Yes it will take non-Vodafone SIM cards, but the handset may be "soft-locked" in some countries (which means it is locked to the VF network, however it's free to have the handset unlocked - you just need to send a request through to VF customer care in your country)

  • I'm an oldie and would love to see this VS2 (seen only a VS1 locally). Would it take non-Vodafone SIM cards?

  • VS stands for vodafone Simply....

  • After checking the Vodafone website VS stands for 'Vodafone Simply' Do you think there will be data cabling options for this phone for contact sync?

  • quick quiestion does VS mean Vodafone/Sagem hmmmmmm intresting just wondering

  • is this one lighter then the vs1 cause the vs1 was heaps heavy (well the dummy was anyways)

  • I've yet to see the VS2, but I hope the interface has been improved from the VS1. Also I hope the design has been updated. I was helping someone to set up his VS1 and it took me half an hour to find out why the thing wasn't displaying his number on the home screen. During that half hour, the weight and awkwardness of the keys convinced me that this was causing an onset of RSI. It hurt. I'm not holding out much hope though, it looks like sagem have shedded 15 grams and squared off the phone and given it a black paint job. Which looks better at least.

  • I think this concept is BRILLIANT!!! Vodafone Simply breaks out of the competetive marketing and provides what it says it should: Calling + SMS The service, the idea, the implementation... it's bringing back the initial idea behind having a mobile phone. Re-wind! I would NEVER buy one LOL, but I know EXACTLY who would!!! Vodafone is innovative and top-notch in their marketing, well done! skater42

  • this vs2 is specially designed for the oldies and those that just want a "FONE"., just to keep in touch with kids, why do you need anythig else, unless you are an alien!

  • well actually.. it does. "Vodafone Simply" I think. Can read up on it on Vodafone UK site.

  • maybe VS is stand for Very Simple :D

  • Could those out there who feel inclined to bag this phone for lack of features crawl back under your rock in silence! The whole idea of this phone is to have the bare minimum features so the old and feeble can use it without confusion. Big keys, big writing, and nothing fancy. I won't be getting one but it's a brilliant idea! I sell phones and waste heaps of time instructing old people (my parents too) how to use their phones.

  • I just luv vs2 phone for his portability and nice looking, very attractive, but lack the facilities uk

  • O don't get it! Where are the functions on this phone? Does it have any?

  • You cant describe this phone as button-less!..So many buttons (well looks alot) but such lil' features...

  • Big phone...very big phone, full of troubles...in some phones you lock the keys and you never unlocke them again...

  • the sagem vs2 is a brilliant little phone pakced with ease of use features it represnets a phone that tackles a new gropu of ppl....those who struggle with techinlogy. perfect for the elderly. sagem are a very reliable brand as well. Being an owner of 2 previous sagems...havent had one problem

  • verry stylish for a sagem...there always tends to be a problem with sagems though, they always feel fake and plastic, but this phone looks shinny and rigid

  • wat???!!! no camera?? new phone?? this is crap!!!! Don buy and it looks like an ancient phone... BIG LEMON!!!

  • I can't believe how long it has taken for a phone such as this to come onto the market. I know dozens of 'older' phone user that will love this model. I went mobile phone shopping with my boss last week. He uses his phone a lot (15 to 20 hours a month) and is not concerned about price - quite happy to pay a grand if he could get what he wanted. He doesn't like gadgets (such as cameras) or lots of bells and whistles (such as games and non-phone applications) and he really dislikes the small form factors and tiny buttons found on all current models. After considering every phone we came across we eneded up buying nothing. He is still using his old 6310i, even though it's on its last legs. I reckon he will buy this model (although he would like it even more if it had a B&W screen to allow for longer battery life).

  • No, it's not a backward move.... If I'm correct the VS Series are easy-phones provided by Vodafone which are just essential mobiles. They are cheap and provide the best means to make a call. It's rather a different marketing strategy of Vodafone, Sagem is merely fulfiling the requirements. It's a good thing, very similar To Nokia's 1100 and 1200 series, simple but effective. MyX8 is excellent! Smart Move to use CCD, puts Sagem right up there with SHARP and SONY ERICSSON.

  • No new GSM phone, X9 far away, but there will be a new smartphone and a 3G phone soon...

  • i love this design. i wish the myx-8 came with this design instead. now this is the design that pulls my heartstrings

  • looks quite cool but not sure if its a backward move for the company or not. does anybody know if there is a myx9 on the way? myx8 is top dog.
