i got my samsung T739 Katalyst sometime in april 2010.its nice except for the fact that no phone sees my bluetooth.i cant send or receive stuffs.then i cant browse either.please i need a soution to this.thank you.

the bluetooth of the sgh t739 was not working if the opration was phone to phone bluetooth operation.and also the wifi was not working....and is there a update software for the samsung t739 katalyst???????????????

got ths phon 1 month befor bt still didn,t get gud results,its blutooh nt detect othr phons n also cn,t detctd by othr phons,n its wi fi also cnt connect wth any netwrk,hav sombdy any solution?f hav plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz help me

I have a samsung Katalyst T739 phone. I can use the 1gb Microsd memory card on it. It is requesting for a format, when I tried doing that it give an error. and of course the bluetooth is not working.Can somebody help me plzzzzzzzzzzzz.

I received my !!! samsung katalyst three weeks ago the date is April 17 2009 and this was supposed to be a new phone.so far the calendar will not work as it says in the owners manual, if you imput a appointment that you must do every day after day one you cannot delete it or it will delete all for the month no matter what choice you use. the phone will not turn itself on as stated in the manual and sound the wake up alarm. the wi-fi is just a little better than a string and two cans in fact the whole phone is just a little better then two cans. t mobil says it never heard of the problums but samsung tec. finally said they no about the problums but no help is going to come. ANYONE INTERESTED IN A CLASS ACTION SUIT PLEASE CONTACT ME A [email protected]. what a pice of junk and how do the phone companys get to tell you its a new phone when it came out in 2007?

I've had phone for about 5 mos. Phone freezes up. At times display reads "unauthorized action" when trying to answer incoming call also things like "Searching"..."Network service not available"..."No service"... Have had partial service 3 days in the last month. I am only able to dia 911 with it now.Sometimes i am able to at least text 2 or 3 hour window of opportunity every week or so. Customer service tells me there is a system problem yet 2 other members of household have not had service problems but dont have this phone, fortunately for them. Customer care has wiped out my contacts, photos etc. have charged me with additional phone lines for testing this one and charged me early termination fees.

I have had this phone for several months and for whatever reason it randomly freezes and turns itself off. T-mobile keeps telling me its a software problem and they have no idea how to fix it. I'm on my third katalyst in 3 weeks and finally they are just giving me a new phone. Would not reccomend this phone to anyone. Its horrible

My only issue is the phone keeps powering off and then back on. I've lost several calls that way. this is the second BRAND NEW unit, it's doing the same thing. I'll try one more, but I ain't happy with it because of this. Otherwise, I'd recommend it to anyone.

I personally have had this phone since its release and have had good luck with this phone. i dropped it a couple of times. the only problem that i had with it was that the text messages were being delayed and not getting to people until the next day. but i have a feeling that was the service not the phone.

You Can Read Your Text In The Middle of Phone calls just go to options> message> My Messages or you Can Chose create Text Message to create it....

Bought the phone because I liked the WiFi option. However the phone screen died out 8 months into owning it and Samsung does not make good on it. I noticed this in the same problem a previous comment had. Thats it no more Samsung products for me they are not good quality and they do not back their warranty. Now I have a BlackBerry and it works great. Go RIMM.

I just got this phone, and it's a pretty good phone for someone who isn't looking for much more than basic phone features with some added bonuses. The only kink I feel is not being able to read texts in the middle of phone calls (not too serious), its slight heaviness for size, and the fact that the battery doesn't seem to last as long as my old, old samsung battery.

I have come across all the things you mentioned and each one has really annoyed me. That aside, I'm still happy with my Katalyst. I've gotten used to the way it is, and I don't regret buying it. However, if those little kinks could be fixed, I would be happier.

Do NOT buy this phone. It is severely disabled. Bluetooth is no good-only for headsets and handsfree, no synching. Avoid at all costs. The UMA connection works good, but that is about the only redeeming feature of this phone. It is WAY overpriced and not customizable in any way. Avoid. Returning mine promptly.

My previous Samsung experience was with a U420 Nimbus cdma phone. I found it to be a pleasure to use overall, and when I decided to switch to T-Mobile for its @home WIFI service, the Katalyst was my first choice. I've regreted it ever since. To the following I ask "What were they thinking?!" Why doesn't typing a number search my contacts anymore? The Nimbus searched all my contacts (1st and last names) based on the keys I pressed (T9 style). Now I have to get into the phonebook and iTap it out. (bringing up "mom" now takes 6 keys with pauses in between- used to take 4 presses right in a row). Why can't I change my home keys? The "up" key conveniently brings up my recent calls, but so does the "call" key, which makes more sense anyway. The "right" key bring up voicenotes (who uses that anyway?). Meanwhile it takes 9 key presses to view a calendar and 11 to bring up the calculator! Why does the inbox hold only 30 messages, all loaded to the SIM- regardless if a memory card is installed. Of course, my outbox holds 300 messages (stored on the phone). Does this make any sense? You also can't use ringtones stored on the card, not to mention that you have to dig the battery out to get at the sd card, which you have to do since you can't transfer data via bluetooth or USB. Oh! And why does Samsung change power connections with every model!? What's wrong with MiniUSB? Also I can no longer view incoming messages while on a call. The camera (which has no flash) is on the back, totally unshielded from scratches and smudges- what's wrong with the slide like all your other models Samsung? And of course they thought it fit to drop the fun dialing fonts. Not that "Quill Pen" was all that amazing, but it was a nice novelty and would have been one saving grace. The only thing this phone has that my 2 year old Numbus does not (aside from and extra square inch of pocket space) is WIFI. But of course it's no faster than dialing up with the Nimbus, and no more useful without an html browser. In short, Samsung- WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!

O with the bluetooth options on some samgsungs you cant't connect to other phones so send files but you can can connect a bluetooth headset.

i have had this phone for a few months, the only thing i can say about connecting to other phones is just get the card and put it in the other persons phone. you cant connect to other phones or computers. I just converted all my videos to gp3 how do you play them on your phone?

This is my first cell phone. I just got it yesterday and it is pretty nice. I got a 2GB micro SD card and, using a video conversion program, I was able to watch tv shows and movies on it.The only problem I am running into is that I have some java games that are jar/jad ormat and cannot figure out how to get the phone to recognize them and install them so I can play them. If anyone know, please post how. Thanks.
