i never heard this fone here in philippines coz all advertisements were nokia's and few from other brands especialy samsung i wonder why?? and i never heard of this unit in 2005 just now when surfing the net what happen here?? 2005,3.2meg cam, 3g?? mobile tv??? what the hell!!!

I am disappointed in Samsung. The Samsung Z700 looked really good in terms of specs and teh looks of it. I was all hyped in getting it and I've placed pre-orders for it. Now they've decided to officially discontinue it. This really sucks BIG TIME.

You don't compare Apples to Oranges Khan...LOL. N90 is a smart phone running on Series 60 Symbian OS 8.1a. Its Bigger in size. The Carl Zeiss Auto Focus camera on top looks extra to the phone. Nokia could have put a 5 mp camera in that size.It has EDGE. No vibration (you dont need it coz u cant put it in ur pocket..hehe) and no FM. It's big 112 x 51 x 24 mm and heavy 173 g.Its $600 and avilable Z700 is not a smart phone. Its relatively small but still comes with a 3mp camera. No EDGE.But whets the point if it not gonna hit the store.

Come on Jag, when i said "microSD" i meant "MicroSD" NOT miniSD. I know the difference. Micro SD is avalibale in 1 GB max. 2GB will be released shortly. Check and search for microSD. And I'm talking about the manufacturers such as Sandisk, PQI, A-DATA and Transcend.Dont know whats the deal with verizon wireless.

YES, THIS PHONE WILL BE CANCELED! It's been over year since it was announced. No other company does these type of things: ONLY SPECIAL SAMSUNG. well it has a t-flash slot but 1GB cards are not available yet, dont worry they will eventually be relesed. At the moment 512mb is the highest. Relief for all moto users, lol (1GB)

I see it has a microSD card slot. Doesn't that mean the memory could be expanded to 1GB? It has all the great features that one can wish for.Just a bit thick..thats all.

3 megapixel means nothing, cinsidering that on a market of regular digital cameras only the newest Samsung cameras start getting close to Kodak, Sony and Panasonic. On top of all of that z700 doesn't even have an optical zoom. And finally, here is one of the biggest issue of Samsung cellular phones: Sound quality! Even on american GSM, Samsung's sound quality isn't the best.

I think this is this is a rather cool phone, I went to a shop yesterday to view the n90, it was even 3,5 inches bigger than the Lg t5100 en that thing is already big. I was really disapointed about the n90, I'm looking forward to this phone ore the LG p7200 (same idea, MotoRazr desing)

To Giannis-Greece Oh my God, don't compare A110 and s300 with the new models, i had a lot of samsung's(p400, v200, e700,e710, z500, z300, d500, e720,e730...)and belive me u can set 2 different appointments, don't compare them with old samsung phones, i'm a samsung lover but i'm a realist 2, i don't think that samsung's perfect but compared with nokia and motorola...???? hmmmmm Nokia is rubish and so is motorola, i even love sagem better than nokia and motorola, the menu of a nokia is the same since the STONEAGE, i can't stand it and 4 motorola...it's imbarasing, samsung's menu is to colorfull, but it's unique and surelly very elegant

The menu of the samsung phones r great and easy 2 use in compare with other mobile phones and yes they have a low battery life but the samsung software is very up 2 date, very fast without many bugs compared with sony-ericsson, nokia or motorola and don't forget that the japonese have mastered the art of new technologiese (good ones) with tones of interesting things. In my opinoin there's no such thing of a perfect phone but Samsung does make good, durable and surely the most elegant clamsheel phones in the world with atractive prices, so think abouit it. . . .

Alex Samsung always had problems with battery life.From the age of the monochrome displays till now,this company seems unable to create a phone with good battery life.Also seems unable to enhance the software of the devices.I mean that the menu is very very poor espesialy in messages and in calendar,Despite all these,I like Samsung because of the quality of the products and for the style.But the only way to buy a Sansung's mobile is WITHOUT Samsung software(let's say with Windows mobile or Symbian OS) This phone looks good,very good.But I thing it will never came in Europe or in Greece.

the samsung phones have a low battery life because of the great display, i had a lot of samsungs, even a z500 and a z300 and the battery life was a day and a half because a phoned a lot and played a lot of mp3's, the 3g call thakes a lot of battery, but u can manage, the GSM samsung phones are great and the 3g samsung phones are even better, 4 questions email me

The D600 has more features than this fone! You can have mp3 ringtones and more! The only thing that is better is the design this fone will cost around 350-400 pounds on the u.k! The same as the D600 if you ask me and all the people from south yorkshire the D600 is the better buy! Which do you think is the better buy?

Don't forget that this phone has autofocus and macro-mode, and CCD Asashi-Pentax lenses. I've seen a lot of N90 sample photos (both from users and NOKIA), and they don't seem to convince me that whether they use Carl Zeiss optics or not, they can still manage to grab our ass behind the podium...honestly, K750i makes better photos than N90.

n90 is comparable at pictures with d600 although d600 hasn't got autofocus.. have you seen the picture on both phones? from 2mpx to 3mpx is a major difference. nokia accepted the fact that their phones make lame photos and called carl z. nokia tech and carl lenses.. they don't look very nice sincerly they are not clear. samsung makes his lens for a long time it makes cameras digicams and e730 and d500 make very good photos although they have cmos. if p850 or z700 will have ccd camera adios comparison with other cam phones although samsung is known for best pictures in the camphone market. this camera will be THE BEST and extremly comparable with digicams. n90 looks big it s heavy and if looks sensitive,i mean the rotating camera, nice screen rez though.

The N90 clearly can beat this phone, regardless of vibration. The N90 is Symbian operated so that means you can have more games and applications then this Z700. "but the Z700 has a 3 MP camera" i hear u say? who cares! the N90 has Carl Ziess Optics, and carl ziess is world renouned and used in delicate ways like lazer eye surgery. The N90 in my eyes has won Hands Down!!

to Alexandros: This is a great phone,no doubt about it, but I think the Nokia N90 can compete with just about every function that the Z700 has, including Bluetooth. I have an SE Z800i at the moment, and this Samsung is a major step forward from that, no question, but the only edge the Z700 has over the N90 seems to be in the 3MP camera, but without a decent lens it may not deliver top pics....on the other hand it may! That's what I need to know

I'm interested in comparing the Z700 with the forthcoming Nokia N90. The design ethos seems to be quite similar, with a kind of 60's spy movie look to both phones. Specifically, the Samsung has a 3MP camera, but of course a higher megapixel count does not necessarily mean better picture quality. I'm wondering whether the Karl Zeiss optics on the N90, or the 3MP on the Z700 will make for a better camera quality overall. Any thoughts?

this and p850 is the best phone any questions? the diff to p850 is that z700 is 10g heav with 3g capab. personally i think 3g is for really big businessman who REALLY NEED IT. it will be expensive anyway. z700 as p850 is 22mm thick 26mm is at the back were the camera sticks out.this phone is almost perfect. it is rather small to. i heard that it could have 3D graphic acel but it coulld be only for us series. video rec will be mp4 350x but i am not shure and there are chances it will be qcif i saw those specs but i am sure that sam will change that by the end of this year also camera is the best before p860. if you look at d600 photos taken close (because d600 hasn't auto focus and the ones taken far are blurry) you will se good pictures and you can imagine the difference 2mpx to 3mpx auto focus also it has big leses and MOST IMPORTANT it has protection for scrathces dust etc. with a opne/close small cover. if you see other picures you can see a small button similar to trans flash covers... in conclusion this is my perfect phone and want to get for my 18'th anniversary.. you are all invited ;)

I think this phone is WICKED! Some of you are complaining about the most silliest things. If you are that bothered about not having a radio on your phone then get a NOKIA or buy a radio! If you are so annoyed that this phone doesn't have tvout buy your self a camcorder and link it to the tv (same thing). Nowadays some of you expect too much from phones. You expect them to all have radios, tv out, mega mega pixel cameras, mp3 players, biomass indicators, what next tv's. If you lot wnat all these things go and but them. This phone is expected to be out around the end of the year on contractand pay as you go. If you want it sim free, it is going to cost you a HELL of a lot of money!!!

The major different for Z700 and P850 os Z700 is a 3G phone and P850 not. Z700 with UMTS support, P850 not. Hope this help...thanks

This phone will be out at the beginning of may 2005 , The price i quoted was on a new 12mth contract on either vodafone or O2 . This phone will cost the customer �200 on a new contract. The reason for this price is by may 2005 the will be other phones with similiar capabilities like the motorola E1120 for example and sharps 902.

I think this phone is really crazy. I was really focused on Nokia but sinds I saw thins phone ill now focus on Samsung. Nokia is really technologicaly late. 1 thing that Samsung need to get better is the pc softwares...

looks hot and seems to have all of the most desiralbe features. 3MP is impressive but ever since P860 came out with 5MP eveything else seems secondary. Yet the P860 will probably cost a limb, I think this phone will be less expensive. Anybody know where I can get it in NYC and when?

Difference b/w P850 & Z700 : Z700 is a UMTS phone while P850 is not. Therefore Z700 supports video telephony and has a VGA cam in addition to the 3 mpxl cam.

When can i see this phone in the uk? I don't understand why they made a copy of LG L5100. Its concept is almost same LG L5100, having rotating display, camera lookin in the back side, even size. Less creative, and shameful samsung's design.
