I got this Spice tablet Mi1010 a year back. Pro: good screen resolution good usb connection option, I can connect external HD and thumb drive using connector provided good sound 10 inch display Con: Charging connector is very very delicate. you have to take extra care not to break it. Screen started with weird flicker after 6 month (got it replaced at Spice Service center, as it was within warranty), Pune Satara Service center response was very bad, took nearly a month to get the handset back. (Looks like they had replace an old refurbish piece) Now after a year, battery and screen flicker problem, as per service center there is no battery and parts available, after many trips to center they told to follow up if they get battery they will replace. Service center folks (Rahul) are very rude Suggestion: DO NOT BUY SPICE Mi1010

the best tablet only because of the value for money it offered . Yes it had charging problems but with changed charger its working even well for 8 hrs backup after 2 years of use. seriously in that price bracket one could not ask for. i accidently broke its screen although touch is still working fine. thinking of buying it again but now company stopped production & could not find any other brand's tablet for same specs & price.........!

I purchased it through naaptol a year ago. From the beggining i could not connect it with mobile data connection.I went service centre at that time, but they were so unexpertised that they could not solve it. So till now i connect to internet through wifi.it works ok. Reading books are perfect.photos are easily viewing.Videos sometimes lags.playing games so so. Chargeing problems occurs several times.Nowadays the display flickers for some occasions. Chepest 10 inch tablet. Not recommended for buying

I bought this last May and it's been one of the best tab so far. The display is good and so is the touch response. Some of them seem to be having a problem with the display, I haven't had any problem so far. Lot of times, I don't need to use a desktop as it can be connected to a compact keyboard. The battery gives you lot of juice, the last time I checked I was able to get about 9 hours! It takes about 4 to 5 hours to charge.

this is a very important tablet in my life. after seeing so many reviews i bought this one. upto 2 months it worked very well. after that . . . . . screen did not respond to touch. service? after 1 month they gave it back and it worked for 1 hr. again same problem. dont buy cheap products .lesson.

Horrible experience. 5 times went to service center for display problem. No assurance to rectify. Tab is plenty of quality issues. Battery is weak. Charging issue. Continuous blinking. Makes unusual sound during charging. Please do not by this low quality product.

this tab has no sim but you can use a sim via a dongle and it will work well.[I have tried most of the sim cards like reliance, docomo,airtel and vodafone and they all work. I am using a HUAWEI dongle].I am now using this tab for about 7 months and no problems as of now.

Decent Battery, bright screen.. pretty fast... but terrible display with horrible colour banding problem.... seems to be no dithering algorithm.. does not render smooth gradient but discreet band of colours... backlight bleeding is another dampener..

Hi guys, got this tab from saholic.com. The first one was not charging so they replaced it. The new one is good in most aspects. But it has a really bad battery life. max 4-5 hours reading that too at lowest brightness. otherwise its been good.

I've been using this wonderful tablet for the last three weeks and can sum up my experience in one word - AWSOME.I purchased this wonderful tablet for Rs.8449/- from Saholic.com and have had no problems with it till date other than the occasional hanging twice during torrent downloading and playing an incompatible video file. Other than this, I have no complaints against this wonderful tablet which is comparable to any branded tablet in the Indian market. Everything is working well and is as per description on the website. Maybe I'm lucky and blessed with a good piece. The price of Rs.8449/- is a steal and I took full advantage of same by buying it on time because it is and has been out of stock since the last five days to date. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I will not recommend this pad for anyone... the operating system is too slow even with this 1 gb of ram...it gets hang very usual ...lack in games is also very common...and the port where doogle or pendrive gets attached gets out of working in 2 months of repaired...i repaired it 3 times..motreover absence of sim slot makes it a wall hanged piece...

I purchased this Tab from Saholic. They promised me next day delivery but I got it finally after 4 days - today on 04.06.2013; and to add salt to injuries, it is now in status - "dead on arrival" No display - nothing happening, might be a faulty charger though i guess it is a dead display. I am really frustated though i believe this RK3066 Tab is one of the best available in Indian markets. I would love to have a RK3188 with 2 GB RAM ans 1080 P resolution screen sometimes soon. waiting for some company to launch around 15K. In the meanwhile another couple of weeks to get the product replaced. Terribly frustrated.

It has got nearly everything . A 3G USB dongle can get you internet on the run. This facility is not there in Samsung Tablet that is selling in Rs 9500 or something now(and is small 7 inch tab).The display of Mi1010 is awesome and comparable with Samsung. Response is great too. Wifi net is superb. In Rs 8499 you get a 10.1 inch EXCELLENT sharp display. 3G USB dongle support, 16GB internal memory, 1 GB RAM, GPS, and other features...IT IS WORTH GOING FOR... can`t get a better deal than this anywhere anywhere.. BUY IT... NOW

Received it on 30th May 2013. Paid Rs 8499/-. TOTALLY Satisfied with performance. Can't get such a slick device in Rs8499/-. I am proud of my search for this device. The experience is very smooth. No lag. Excellent wifi connectivity. Menus and operation are smoothsail. It DOESN't have a SIM.That is the only 'issue' if you feel to name it like that. There is no other complaint. In this money you CANNOT get such a great display and such a smooth machine. Very responsive. Will make you happy. Great 10.1 inch display that is MILES ahead over 7 inch Karbon type of players...(with more money) BUY IT.

Just got a new tablet from indiatimes. The tablet is just not starting. I tried charging it also but no luck. The customer care is asking me to visit the service center. I think since i have this tablet i may have to make several visits to the center in the coming days.. very bad experience

Just brought this tablet. Delivery on time. Display good, brightness awesome, touch response good, having one dead pixel which isn't noticeable. Serious games/casual games works pretty well. I was looking for my kid so no calling/3g etc required. For me it's proving a good buy as of now. Bottom line, 8.5k is a very good bargain for what you get in terms of hardware and the performance against it.

heloo hi. i purchased the same pad. its awesome. but it has the flickering probs while charging. it happen in my room and hospital. but when i took it to the service centre it works well. then i showed them the video of it and showed it to them. finally they said they wil give a new charger to try with that. waiting for the new charger. but still i hav the replacement warranty, but i dont hav to give this tab back, its so good. dont knw the new wil be as good as this. here i want to knw wat happen to ur issue? they fixed it?

Im warning you, do not go with this option. Although seems pretty good 2 start with, the service sucks and i had 2 give it for service like twice in 3 days for diff problems and the 2nd time, he broke my screen and said it was my fault. After convincing him otherwise, he agreed for a replacement and took such a long time, i lost interest in an otherwise brand new tablet which i was looking forward 2 enjoy. The resolution is nothing 2 boast about either, youre better off spending more and going with a a good brand like Apple or Samsung. If your planning to buy this, you will be disappointed unless ure lucky and nothing bad happens. Since Spice is an Indian company and they dont really care for their customers satisfaction, i dont recommend this. Service centre guy is adamant and refuses to accept fault in the device even though it is obvious. I feel like a wasted a whole lot of time and money with this product. I wish i had'nt bought this product because of the whole experience which was unsatisfactory to say the least and surely, i should have expected a lot better from any tablet manufacturing company esp a well-known company like Spice. Very disappointed. I will make it a point to never buy a Spice product again in my life at any cost.

It is a very good buy in terms of performance - battery life, touch feeling, display, apps, connectivity, etc. Myself and kids have been using it for more than 2 months. Heavy usage by my kids - they play only motion sensor high resolution games.excellent performance. Works well with tata DoCoMo and MTS data cards with out any issues. Wireless is also fine.I checked more than 7 tablets in the market and bought it after trying others. I recommend this strongly.

u r lucky fellow, coz it did worked on your tab at least for 1 min... In mine it never worked yet, I've tried more a dozen different types of dongles. I'm facing Wifi issue since I bought it... for some reason I couldn't reach Service Center yet... so be happy...

mate its one of the feature to avoid voice cracking sound at high level. advice you to put off "Limit" button in equalizer screen and reduce "Pre-amp" buffer level to 30-40%. then it will not "auto-level" at high volume.

I purchased this pad in last week and things went from bad to worse. I was looking for a pad with call facility and inclined towards Zynch Z-1000 and accidentally walked into the spice mobile store in Kolkata saltlake. They showed the tablet I liked the look and feel. I was said the card doesnt have a sim card slot but can make call using a 3G sim and a dongol but can not demo thant as they did not have any 3G dongle at that time. Though they charged 2000 Rs. more than Zync i purchased the tab. My nightmare started from that day Con 1. The tablet had dead pixel problem 2. back light leaks 3. can not make call ( later i found that in specification. I was clearly cheated by the store) 4. Pathetic customer support - Store said 25 days replacement guarantee, customercare said 7 days. Cheated again 5.

I bought this tab around 15 days ago and i faced some issues with wifi earlier. Some times it does not connect and i need to restart. One more issue is with the sound output. When i play a song with full volume, the voice gets decreased when there are heavy bass in the song. I use poweramp which is the best media player on android, but i am not able to find why this is happening. When i reduce volume to 70% then this problem does arises. any one else faced same issue

You can go with this if u r looking for ebook reading, it has 10 inch 1200x800 display above than all 10 inch tablet in market for this range of price. If u will read, browse, social networking with no video or hd games it will easily last for 6-8 hrs. But of course not on full brightness. Tab is really very bright I always put it on half brightness. I bought it 10 days before in beginning I was facing Wifi issue as it wasn't turning on but now automatically it starts working... Performance... just don't ask, go & take a test ride, it is available on all Spice spot, I checked every thing before buying. Hope will help...

Am looking for a portable (light weight) device mainly for reading pdf (EBooks). My reading shouldn't be disrupted due to power cuts.(Means even during dark time). I rarely browse. Device should be more than 7 inches, so that my eyes wont get strain or I don't have to zoom in/out my eyes like Jim Carry in movie Mask. Can this device would meet my requirement or do you have any other options (No plan to use kindle as it cannot be used where there is no light)

Thanks you guys, my problem was when it turns off it didn't turns on back... But after three days WiFi started automatically, till now working fine. Didn't stuck after that, I reset it so many time to make it work and god knows how long will it work. One more thing I faced with this that screen stoped rotating, so I reset it again to fix. I'm typing this using spice stellar bad... right now every thing is working fine... Thanks Will keep update about this pad later.

ALL android devices will lose wifi signal when the device sleeps. The solution is to install an app from the Play store that keeps the processor on while wifi is on so that the connection does not die. I use "REGPON wifi KeepAlive" on my LG Optimus 2x. You can try that or any similar app from the play store. Let us know if that solves the problem.

Hi Harish, I am no expert. But I have been using it with Tata photon+ and also used my mobile as WiFi hotspot and the tab seems to be connecting to the Wi-Fi and holding the connection as well as long as I am using. Can you specify the idle time or approx time after which the connection drops?

Hey Gaurav, I need help... I bought this pad 2 days before in 12990/-, but its wifi is not turning ON. do you have any issue with Wi-Fi. It started like this... In beginning when I left Tablet Idle Wi-Fi get disconnected automatically even it is selected "never" in setting. So after sleep when I try to ON Wi-Fi it says "turning on..." & stuck on this msg in settings. So I restarted & connected it it worked. But again I leave it idle for 10-15 min again disconnected & this time I had to reset the tab from setting to start Wi-Fi. But from yesterday it's not turning ON at all... it show msg "Wifi turning on..." but it didn't. I have only option to submit it service center because I tried every thing like reset & even I erased internal SD card but no luck. thanks in advance tab really great with other functions.

This is an excellent Tablet for this (12999 INR) price range. It never let you down. Perfect to read books, web surfing and games. Touchscreen is smooth & responsive.....Nice battery backup approx. 6 hrs.(7600 mAh Lithium - Ion Polymer).....Display quality is awesome (Quadcore GPU)......Audio quality is decent.....Adobe reader & Office Suite runs just perfect. Only bad thing is that doesn't have Bluetooth.

No it does not have SIM slot. You can get connected through 3G Dongle. The front camera is for Video Calling through Skype and other applications. PLEASE MAKE NOTE that it DOES NOT HAVE BLUETOOTH connectivity too.

I have no using-experience of Spice Mi-1010 Stellar Pad but after going through its specs I found this 10inchs Tab gaint with supppppperb 7600MHz battery and not to forget latest android OS JellyB.... WOW! But non-availability of SIM card slot/option makes this tab a bit dissapointing for tab lovings. As in India Hot-spot connectivity is not available at all point and people are not too much use-to of Data card. But nevertheless with the all sparkling features of Spice Mi-1010 Stellar Pad you can have rocking experience. Mukesh Prasad
