I got my broken spice screen repaired.. The mobile is awesome.. Better than my friends who all use micromax.. I love d phone. U can always ask for spice services by mailing them.. They replied to my question nd guided me that from where will i get the screen repaired! Awesome phone.. No problems at all!!!

I m used this cell 2 years Some tricks 1.for speed and smoother -root ur mobile (its very important to speed up) 2. for looking -There is no upgrade so install Holo launcher (looks like jelly bean) 3.for low memory - flash ur memory card and make partition that's it ... really I m using 1 GB as internal memory (its explained in xda site) 3.For touch response - clear flash cache( all ready posted how to clear cache) 4.if u want to use any jelly bean apps just copy apps and paste to system apps that's it. if any inform contact - [email protected] Ramaswami

download from google search SuperOneClickv2.3.3-ShortFuse.zip unzip install usb driever usb debug enable on android device and connect to pc in unzipped folder right click on husband driver and instal it (or update driver in computer manager ,right click on MyComputer and click on Manager in that right click on spice and update drivers that's it 90 percent completed) open superoneclick and don't change any settings just click on root .that's all . it takes 5 to 10 minutes to success root ... and enjoy still u r confusion just connect me on ndkolkar@gmail... yah im here to talk about, this cheapest & awesome phone, Im using this phone from 2.5 years, still now its good as new. Iam very rough to handle any of the device, even i broke my phone's display itself, with that broken display i have used this phone for 1 year, that crack is not effecting on touch any more. and the battery is very poor at the starting only but maintaining the same backup capacity still now, it will comes up to 1 day for sure (every smartphone's is durable for 1 day only). no issues with any of the components. music is also very good at it. even i have played almost all common games it is running smoothly, I am really happy with this phone thanking to SPICE

I has been using it for 15 months.. this is the best phone, which give me a chance to use the android system ..... touch is awesome ... if u will use, 3g or wifi, then it works fantastic .... camera's clearity is not up to the mark.. u can not play latest games on it like temple run. u can not use the video calling services through skype, but u can talk on skype....

Solution of spice MI-280 screen touch problem:- 1:- switch off mobile. 2:- start with ( volume up + center selection key + power key) it will open factory mode. 3:-then select item test. 4:- select clear flash memory.

Yah I Have this Phone, Mean Spice Mi280, Using 4m 1.5 yrs approx. Not a good phone at all... The only Good Thing is that It was powered by Android 2.3.4 otherwise Display hangout/Touch Prob/Camera Quality Poor/Display Res Not satisfactory/ GPS have no Accuracy and there are so many factors which is very disappointing for this type of product. But some solution are given as I M doing for this device is,1) if you have Touch Problem: You have to Reset your phone (Hard Reset). 1st switch off your phone then Press Vol UpKey+Middle Joy Key+Power Button to on your Phone(Do not release the Button until your Phone Turns on), A black Screen with blue text may appear, select Item Test press middle key, Select Touch Panel Calibration Do Calibration. It may Solve your Problem. If you wel known to the entire menu then do some necessary steps for your problem.Ask Me if you have any problem with this set, i will try to make it solve.

Did good amount of research before I zeroed in on this phone in Jan 2012. No doubt its a feature rich phone. Crystal clear calls, Music & Video playback are its main features. Cons being Low Internal memory, Poor Camera Resolution, No Flash. Most of the credits would go for ANDRIOD OS for the user features it provides when compared to conventioanl phones. SPICE may have to rethink on price tag for this model or fix the drawbacks considering massive advancements in mobile computing devices recently.

Its really a junk. I ve been using (rather not using) this phone since jan 12. One month was ok n i was excited too. But then it all started n mind u, without it falling down or getting wet n any other reason u cud think of. First casualty was its touch. total non responsive at times. second was the camera. Forced closed every time. Next was the master sim card which went wonky n now doesnt read even, n i use it as a single sim phone. Response of customer care pathetic. Now even the charging socket has developed problems. Finally i ve started using my previous phone basic keypad phone. At least i can make n receive calls with that.

My phone bought about 2 months back is having similar problem with touch screen. Till now, it worked well with all features, and battery life is less which I understand on it being smart type. I had good experience with 3G, wifi, video call, camera etc. I have done rooting sometime back but not sure if this is any reason. I feel this could be because of software only or weather if humidity could impact capacitive touch screens

Is it because of the weather (humidity), we have issue with touch screen? It is random. I also thought of some android apps I downloaded maliciously doing this. I supected this at software level only, as at times (after lock or restart on few attempts), touch screen works for some clicks, but again.. repeats..

I was looking for cheap but good to use Dual Sim Android V2.3 handset and this model just fitted the bill. It has a very responsive touchscreen backed by a quick processor. There seems to be loads of touch screen issues for handsets from HTC, Samsung and every popular brand that has touch screen has a problem listed out there. The problem is typical. When I try to unlock the phone, it just doesn't respond to touch. After several trial it finally responds and then behaves erratically, randomly selecting icons and doing all sorts of disturbances. Then finally it settles down and start responding to any touch input in a normal way. If any of the users have faced this problem and have been able to resolve it please respond to this post. I hope someone from SPICE reads this and can suggest a fix. thanx :)

Even I too had same problem, for some extent the problem is solved ..... Give to spice customer service ....... You can even, complain it to spice marketing department. Go to spice website, put all your queries and send it through email. Let them know, why and where spice mobiles, loose there value. Every, who have purchased it. This is the only solution.

Brought yesterday ie on 04.06.12. returned it today :D GPS never works on this set. I ignored a opinion in XDA-DEVELOPERS. and paid price for it. If GPS works this fone is really good, and worth for its money Rs 4500.

its a useless phone,dont buy this phone .no matter its specifications are good but quality is very bad .its battery backup is poor .wifi has problems,internet is slow,moreover spice costumer care response is very bad they kept phones with themselves for months. in my view, spice company is a third class company NEVER BUY SPICE PHONES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bought Spice Mi-280 a week ago and I am facing problems with its touchscreen already. It auto locks the screen and then you just cant open it because the screen doesn't respond to your touch. It is VERY frustrating. If you need to call someone urgently you cant. If you want to sms someone urgently, you cant. The screen just doesnt respond to your touch/tap/punch/anything at all. Moreover there is only one service center for spice phone in my city and that too is quite far away. It has been an extremely pathetic experience. And I paid 5000/- for this terrible handset.

hi friends please help me in deciding which phone to buy i m confused b/w idea cellular id280 and spice mi280. idea phone is single sim but unlocked i can use any sim and also getting lots of benefits means it is very cheap in comparison with spice mi 280 and also it is better company then spice and as it is an international brand it has lot of custom roms available on net and in spice the os is unstable and creating lot of problems with so many people and spice company do not offer any improved rom.

Hi i have bought this phone on March 2012 for Rs 5200 from chandigarh . i want to share my experience with every one. its a cheapest dual sim android phone with good config which supports native 3g video calling , i hvae tested it it works fine . wifi works fine . Gps take lot of time to acquire but still works ok. Problems 1 First problem is of its two to three time rebooting as u will restart the phone as it hangs usually during touch operation at least 7-8 times. God nows why it happen . 2 After booting it some times will not show ur sim directory, for that u need to reboot it again , and wait for another 2 to 3 reboots , so it get starts. 3 third experience of this phone i want to share is , that it restart during active calls , ur call drops , and after rebooting it show no network for some time @ (battery charged to to 100% ). 4 i experience humming noise problem during the call. GOD knows how TELECOM Standard Org. pass such Stupid & Weak Arch of mobile manufacturers. i have sent my phone twice to service center till now. GOD knows what will happen .

Starting of mi-280 with two to three reboots is a common problem , not a problem its habit of this phone. i become use too of it. u should be too.

Check with your service provider about the bandwidth that you SIM works on. maybe the phone does not handle it. check the specs here.

I have purchased this phone about three months back due to 3G and video calling support but i coudn't use them as all operators viz. airtel, vodafone, aircel tell me that your mobile doesn't support these features. why ? at the same time this is preloaded with a lot of applications which i don't want to use but it doesn't install them. please help me to uninstall them too.

about btry backup-see... it can give u a talktime of around 3 hrs on 3g,and more than that on 2g network. data connection can b used 3 hrs with continous dwnlding,can give u more than 3hrs of video playback. its a nice phone .just to add keep little bit of ram and internal mry free use kill background apps if not needed.to sum up it easily survives 1 whole day entertaining me.Ask more if u like...

yes you can install if you find any custom ics rom for spice mi280 and m sure that you won't find any. even if u find out then too ur phone won't work properly coz of the processor is just 650mhz and ram is just 150 mb.

please try 1.keeping your handset on gsm mode if u r not getting gud 3g signals. 2.use task killer application. 3.reduce time out. 4.uncheck auto brightness,set it manually.

purchased on 8th april ,very good phone,best features r available ,about camera performs like 2m.p.but satisfies me,audio video playback superb ,gud connectivity , touch is super smooth fast,about battery i feel it is not that bad can easily do 3 hr calling,4hr video playback,3 hrs of internet use over 3g.best bugdet android phone.

Hi m using this phone,,,it gets hanged frequently,,not able to play angry birds ,,,,camera is ok,,,image quality of my micromax Q5 is better then Mi-280 ,,. sound is gud ,, battery is really bad..it gets reduced from 100% to 90-85% within 15-20 minutes(without usage)...
