. Spice has buid one of the Worst phones in terms of Build quality. Heating issues from day one. Very very very poor battery life is a understatement and the worst is the Service centers are so useless and Cheats. Tried to buy a extra battery from spice service center and they charged me Rs 350 for the battery told me to pay first and the battery would come. 15 days later still no battery. Asked for a refund as i was shifting to Chennai. Once in chennai I contacted spice Service Center Deprosys Technologies Chennai. . When I tried to ask for the battery they said same battery costs Rs 650. When I called Spice HO they said the cost is Rs 350. If service centers are asking for 100% margins what or how can you trust this company. The service centers are Brand ambassadors of the company and if they are cheats then company should take action . If we follow The be Indian Buy indian slogan we always end up as losers.

I have been using this phone since some month before. It has got some problem such as heating at upper part and low battery back up as per the specification. According to specification it should have 200 hrs stand by and 6 hrs continuous talk but it is not the same. Next think is that camera is not 8 megapixel its lower than 3megapixel.

Im using dis device since 1month, its pretty good actually except battery backup. i think 1700mah is not sufficient for any android phone. but it z better than samsung galaxy s2(1650mah). camera is awesome, great capture and sound sensor also mind blowing. screen resolution, touch sensitivity totally good. totally dis is a slim and sexy mobile with a costly look.

This mobile look like iphone. very good mobile. no heating issues if i use it long time, sound quality is good. camera is 8mp, but calirty i guess 5 mp. audio and video quality is superb. internet speed is good. overall 5 out of 5 stars... I think they have improved alot this set..

Hi I have been using this set for about 1 month. There are some problems on heating and hanging at times especially when I play 3d games and quality of pouch provided with the mobile is poor. Some times visibility of camera is poor, but gets rectified immediately when go back and reopen the application. However, at the cost offered, it is one of the best phones in the market. With similar specifications, other brands are charging more than double price, which indicates there is huge premium people are paying on them. Overall, my rating is satisfactory.

IN THE INTEREST OF GENERAL PUBLIC : CHEATING BY SPICE MOBILITY : OVER HEATING PROBLEM : SPICE VIRTUOSO - MI - 495 We have purchased the above handset from Spice Retail Shop - HOTSPOT on 24/02/2013 from Honey Park, Adajan, Surat. On using the Phone on 25/02/2013, we found the problem of camera clarity and overheating. As per the handset specification 8 MP camera with 3264 *2448 pixels is given. But when we took the Photograph and compared the same with their MI - 530 Mobile, photographs are very poor . We also compared the photograph with other mobile having 8 MP. The photographs are very poor. The major problem the Phone is having is overheating. Within 10 -15 minutes of usage of the handset, mobile is heated and sensation on the ears are so hot that person can not put the phone on ear and compulsorily have to use speaker or Bluetooth facility. We informed the retailer on 25/02/2013, they have shown their inability to help in this matter. And informed us to visit the service center in Surat. We visited the service center on 26/02/2013 and informed the above problems to Mr. Jitesh. He thoroughly checked the camera clarity and also overheating problem. He informed us that as this has been designed slimmest, main parts of the Mobile has been designed and built near the speaker and due to the above, upper parts of mobile will be hot. And that can't be reduced/improved. We argued that this is the mistake of the company,their research and design team. And complete failure of the company as before launching of the product, company must take trial and test the product. Mr. Jitesh informed the problem to Mr. Jayesh Soni (Designation not known) but he refused the claim. Mr. Jitesh informed that he will try to talk with higher authorities and look in to the matter. On 26/02/2013, Mr. Jitesh - Service center Executive informed that he has talked with the company personnel but they denied to accept that the phone is overheating but they have requested to submit the handset to make probe in to camera clarity. As confirmed with Mr. Jitesh, Mobile gets heated within 10 -15 minutes of usage and this is a manufacturing defect and concern for health also but the company is denying to accept the same. It is manufacturing defect but company is denying. We have asked them to issue D.O.A. as the same is not usable product but the company is denying. On 01/03/2013, Now the company refuses the both claims of over heating and camera clarity. Thus company is cheating to the general public by launching non tested, without taking trial ,sub-standard and poor quality product and company is causing serious damage to the health of Public. And this requires a thorough Investigation and Probe in to the matter. Yes it has a heating issue. Basically the phone is defective. I purchased one piece online. Asked for a replacement as the product was heating very very badly. They sent me another piece as replacement and still the same issue, the phone screen heats up very badly and this inturn causes battery drain very fast. Even after 30 minutes of use get message warning battery over temperature, We should sue this bloody company for supplying defective products outside the box.

Ok got replacement product from Flipkart. Awesome service from Flipkart , Very fast very reliable. This piece also has heating issue. Basically the product is faulty . Regular use gives me 5-6 hours. Gaming gives me 2 hours max, The phone heats up very badly and some games even old games like splinter cell conviction and brothers in arms 2 crash, This is the first and last product i buy from spice. The phone has no proximity sensor. And no option of display timeout while calling. So whenever you call, the screen goes blank. I had a Samsung Ace Plus earlier which had this proximity sensor. If anyone has any workaround , can suggest.

Just bought this phone and out of the Box it is defective, Just using the phone for 10 minutes and the screen heats up. and battery drains too fast. did not expect such poor build quality from spice. Expected this from micromax , Other wise this is a very good looking phone and there is no performance lag what so ever . The phone looks very premium and performs very well. if not for the heating issue and battery drain this would have been a 5 out of 5. but out of the box defective item brings this to a 1 out of 5. Indian manufacturers should start concentrating on substance and not style. My opinion is dont buy till you read actual user reviews. Dont waste your money on looks alone . SPICE MI495 is nice phone, I have seen the mobile on spice gallery..!!!! Its looking like Iphone, design is much more similar with Micromax A90s, only the side edge is metal finished. Hope Spice may also ready with Jelly upgrade for this mobile.. This model sure will hit the indian market like Micromax A110.
