this is my favorite phone, my first one had issues, the second one (diamonds) has been great. the cost is crazy high but the sounds quality is the best part, and next best is the keyboard. i do not use this phone for email or internet (slows down phone terribly), only for calling and occasional texts. bottom line: like phones with keyboards? this is best one ever. need a phone with internet or email? you may have to choose another...

Great phone, very similar to Nokia E71, though the quality of materials used is unrivalled. I dont need an Iphone because I have instant access to a computer most of the day. So when I'm looking for a phone, I only need one that takes calls and text messages. Very expensive though, but definitely worth it, considering it wasn't put together in some south east asian sweat shop.

I also used a vertu phone. its is nt that good. The buttons are not pressing and wi-fi gives problems. So i sold it for $20. now i have a Nokia 2110 Symbian, its the best phone i have used plus its size is very handy too.

As far as the this type of design goes,this 1 probably has no match. For the price however I expect Cell CPU,10TB of space and 20GB of RAM,20Mpx camera with optical zoom and Xenon flash,Full HD 6"screen and Full HD video recording and SDDS sound suport with Sennhiser HD800 in the box as freeby. Ok so maybe I'm asking to much,but still... . If I had on my bank account atleast 200x more money than this beauty costs,I would buy 1 instantly. I'm sorry but anyone who buys this phone based on the "prestige" and the "effect" it will have on people are mad. Yeah, sure it looks...well i was going to say pretty but it isn't. It looks striking shall we say. But personally, i would be far more impressed if a rich business man pulled out say a HTC Desire HD like days after its release. Thats impressive. A man who cares about something being striking and powerful. Not something that looks like a Nokia E72 thats got a poor body kit done like Kid's in Vauxhall Corsa's do.

It kind of reminds of like a tricked out Blackberry 9700 Bold. I think it's kind of cool looking, but painfully ugly at the same time, wierd but theres parts about it I like, but stuff I hate too. The specs are pretty crappy. That's one thing I've never understood about phones on this price range. You drop 4000 bucks for a phone that dose nothing more then what my 200 dollar HTC G2 dose. Looking at the specs... it's basically an E72 with a bunch of sparkly crap tacked onto it. And it costs orders of magnitude more. I suppose I can understand the "premium" phone thing. It's not useless :) It has a build in tracker so you can always track the phone if it will be stolen or if you will lose it ;) Part of the Vertu service ...

Hi Grumbler, I also spend a fiver a month and the networks completly rip me off. 2000 mins, unlimited texts and unlimited internet for £5 is a joke! They should reduce my bill to £2.50 as I have been a loyal customer (been with them a whole 2 months now!) They said my Galaxy S (which was free with my contract) was water damaged! How dare they! All I did was put it in my swimming shorts and went swimming in the sea! The phone was clearly not fit for purpose! I now want them to cancel my contract and give me compensation for the distress the network has caused!

yeh i had this problem with a Samsung Genio if they still argue that it is water damaged ask for proof of the water damage via picture or get them to show you the damaged area if they can. sometimes the water indicator is under a panel under the cover and sometimes you will find a water indicator on the battry aswell

Hi Dan-2711, i have checked for these indicators under the battry but can't see any such things. I will be taking this further up indeed but they seem to say many liquids and dirt have touched the phone i'm sure i would care a lot about this handset though! I am thinking they just don't want to repair due to expenses.

Hey Sadi, I had the same issue with my network. They're proper idiots. I spend a fiver a month with them, so you'd think for my spend, I'd get fantastic Customer Services but oh no. They were getting all prisy and up in my grill. I had to go lie down. I've never been spoken to like this before, not even by the children on the streets, who call me up for the kiddy stuff. Like, I never did!. I think if you go on and speak like you know a lawyer; have a direct line to Anne Robinson or go on and speak in a racist or toff like manner, they generally melt into your way of thinking. Either that or threaten to send the boys round. Even if you don't have any boys. LOLZ. That agent sounded like he was still sucking his mummy's teat when I pure like tore him down a la Michael Douglas Fallen Down. I wanta a cheeseburger or in my case, a mobile phone, etc... It was brilliant. So much so I do it now on regularly basis, even though if my phone isn't liquid damaged. I phone them up day and night. I've quit my job, she's my left me but I'm always right.

Check the water indicators under the battry and makesure they are white if they are red it shows there is water damage to the handset. if the indicator shows white i would take it up further with them

You've obviously never used a Vertu much less held one in your hand. Aside from the gaudy hoopla these phones have a level of call quality you have never imagined. Pressing the keys is a fluid, beautiful motion unlike anything you have seen before. Every phone seems like a toy after the Vertu. It is like comparing a Indonesian Samick/Epiphone Les Paul to a Gibson LP Classic.

I have owned and used the Nokia E72 before I lost it. I must confess; if I had to choose between the E72 and this deluxe-variant, I would of course temporalily choose this Vertu-phone - but only to sell it, buy the E72 instead and keep the difference. The E72 sodium-black simply have a better looking and more practical design.

Looks like a cheap-dualsim-chinese-replica of E72. Glad I have the original E72,though ! Other than that,typical Vertu:nice,siny,silver/gold/diamonds/whatever exterior with a modest/average/ebarrassing(for what you pay) interior.
