you have to go to a vodafone store and purchase the unblock code i had to do that, 2 years ago it costed £25 vodafone doesnt alow their phones to be unblocked anywhere else,only by them

I've been nothing but happy with this phone. For it's low price it has everything you need. Do not expect to make great pictures with it though, the camera quality is rather bad (for 1.3 MP) The browser is nice but you better install Opera Mini. (I have version 4.2 installed and it works great). One drawback - it doesn't have sound notifications for missed calls, received messages etc.

The screen went white! I get it repaired once and than it went white again. Definitely the weakest part of the phone! I don't know where to get a new one? With normal use the battery lasts for 2-3 days. The phone is one of the cheapest but I doubt if it is worth of buying it.

DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE! Screen went blank after 4 mnths. Vodafone wanted to sent it away for repairs taking a week. Unbelievable for a £10 phone. Getting another brand phone and canceling Vodafone as my network!

I got this fone 2 days back...but i found this fone piece of crap.I have another vodafone 541....which i found really good.In 533 i inserted 4gb memory card,it has 380 songs.But when i check the music player it only shows 254 songs.Can any one tell me why is that?Uploading of songs are very slow,in my opinion dont buy this fone.Well i got it for free but still not worth it.

I have it. It can have its ups and downs but the key is to make sure you don't keep it on for long. It has a very weak battery life. Also, consider the offers on the voadafone website. They aren't all that bad!!!

Problem you described is known problem of this model. Allmost all of them go white after a while. Return it to your wendor and he will repair it, or replace it with some other model. it's better solution.

This phone seems to have a problem with ALL memory cards on occasions, a relative had two from UK Toys R Us both handsets would not recognise ANY card inserted, do not assume that only 2Gb works, although I am enclined that it does (when working only accept upto 2Gb). Another example of a faulty 533 today from Tesco on Voda, again does not recognise card, next to one that does, how odd, no wonder Sagem (which designed it), have gone bust. It's a nice phone in principle, but riddled with odd faults, great shame. Sagem used to make stylish handsets for the younger market mainly. AVOID this phone unless you wish to risk having a return to the shop, BUYER BEWARE!!!!

I am owner of this kind of phone 1 year its a very nice phone but it has a couple problems if you drop it or accidently fall on the ground it may stop work when you slide up the screen goes white or there are showing a mixed colors of the wallpaper.If you put bigger memory card it slows work of it.

I bought this phone 5 months ago and at the time, it looked like a bargain. But, after 4 months or so, I've started to expirience problems when opening it. The display would turn white, or black, or pixelized, smeared etc. It took me 2 or 3 times of closing and opening to get it running normally. With time, the problem only got worse, and now - the phone won't even turn on. The design and features of the phone are OK, and combined with the price - the phone is still a bargain. But, for a phone that lasts for 4 months and brakes down, I woundn't call it a bargain or money well spent - I would call it money thrown out the window. All in all, I woundn't recommend it to anyone, because it's not reliable at all, in fact - all goes to hell after few months of regular usage.

hi, please help.i just bought a vodafone 533 and a 4mg for it but can't get the memory card to work. a 0.5 one will work and someone said it will only take a 2mg at the most. i kinda believed it'd take the 4mg ok. has anyone else had this problem? can you get a car charger for it? if so could you tell me the number as i 'm not getting much luck finding one. many thanks.

When you receive the song- press the navigator in the middle and then you will be asked to name the song and then confirm with pressing the navigator again. It saves in "My files". I love this phone. I have it purple. I bought it in UK.

My holiday phone - perfect for taking around foreign cities with me, as its cheap enough to not be a problem should something happen to it. Cameras average (but it is 1.3mp) but the keyboard feels solid and the slide mechanism feels smooth when used. All in all, a brilliant likable budget phone. (I got mine in the "petrol" colour as vodafone describe it).

Had two of these from toy's r us, both would not recognise a memory card, strange. For Sagem, this is apart from the fault identified, a very good phone. Shocked to see that the main slide component at rear of phone, is metal. The screen was comprable to a Samsung, ie bright and clear, with little trace of polarisation, as on cheaper phones giving poor image at an angle. The earphone supplied, providing you use foam ear pads(not supplied), sounds great!! Radio did not seem to have auto search, says no video in specs, but it does record at qcif. 30 quid, will get one that works with memory card, as is bargain. Well done sagem, aka Voda.

try taking the phone into a vodafone store, even though the device was originally purchased from greece they may be able to check the device for you as they are the only UK provider who supply this device :o)

Why do you say a 2 day battery life? I just switched off Bluetooth and GPRS and it lasted over a week, with just light call usage, and a few texts. For me, at �30, it cant be beaten. I love it!

This phone is at a good price but the camera is no good there is a memory slot which is the only good thing it would is a brilliant for a childs first phone as it strong the battery life is not that good so you have to charge it up every 2 days.I luv the hands free set which comes with it but again you get what you pay for.

Well, about the price of 7 euros mentioned by Ana ... it can't cost 7 euros in "Macedonia" as it costs 84.89 euros in every shop in Greece and its territories. But if you mean that it costs 7 euros in FYROM, that might be true but one have to order it from FYROM and not fron Macedonia. Just mentioning so that noone waste his/her time searching for that phone in Greece, in that price. Take Care

This phone isnt the best phone out there, obviously. But for �30 GBP its great. 1.3MP Camera, Bluetooth, MP3 Player and Micro SD card slot with support for upto a 4gb card. Battery is a little weak, but up to two days is the same as some other handsets too. Honeestly, if your going to be harsh think about it first.

Way too slow response compare to Nokia which I had before.It takes 2 sec to turn on the screen after sliding. Bad speaker sound quality. It took me a while to get use to have antena area on the botom. Camera, even it`s 1.3, give photos like vga.Loudspeaker not so loud. Good screen with nice colours.Slot for micro sd.Good sliding sistem... Good phone for small money.

Iv� just bought it here in portugal and what i have to say is that it is very light and small, i have a nokia 6288 and for me, this one is a cool phone for those who really want a cheap one and still want some quality! It�s resistant, battery lasts two-three days with intensive use. The headphones/free-hands kit have a really good quality while hearing mp3�s and it�s a complete phone with everything we need. the problem that i think it�s the fact that when we use a memory card it begans to work a bit slower on the menu, but nothing that we canno get used too. i would rate it with an 8.

I have it in my hands right now. Among the good things that made me buy it are: the pretty big screen (2 inch at 176x220 pixel resolution or so) which is quite brite and displays readable information; a slim profile, not too lightweight, neither too heavy, just feels it has some substance; MicroSD card slot - i can't live without that - supports upto 4Gb of additional memory. Plus the price, pretty cheap for what it has to offer. The sounds / audio aspects are rather satisfying, not the best in the universe but quite ok, I've got nothing to complain - loud and clear enough. The organizer is powerful enaugh and decently designed, as well as the general user interface, had no problems naigating and clues are at each step you take (a descriptive help menu, probably the most reliable one i've seen on a phone). The processor is a bit slow for it's applications and operating system, but just a bit as I see it, not quite a problem. A big plus for being very responsive with a MicroSD card inserted, as I've seen some others choking badly in such situation. The keypad could've been a bit larger, there's unused space on it, the keys are a bit too small for my tastes so not too productive in a text input scenario and i find it a bit awkward that it first inserts the number of the key and then the letters. About the battery lifespan, I don't know yet, I've had it for 2 days, charged it once and now I'm waiting, maybe I'll get back later with updates. I expect some 3-4 days, with an average of 20-30 minutes/day of talking and some occasional music though... Overall, I like it, except for the slider mechanism which I fear it might fail some day (though they say it's a rock solid slide) ...
