Mi phone has a very bad quality, the spec are same with high end phone from well known company like Samsung, LG and Sony but Mi quality is a complete rubbish, I have been using mi note 5 pro for almost 1 and half years, at first I thought the phone was great with all those spec and value for price but after 5 month I notice how stupid I was and how they scam me, the performance start dropping real fast so thought I should reset it and after I reset it become worst my internet connection was horrible super unstable,I thought it was my network carried so I contacted the customer care and I found out it was completely find and it was only me, so another mi user confirm me that it has to do with resetting the phone they also have the same experience, so now still my phone has a super unstable connection with any network carried, this will be my first and last experience with Mi. Hope u guys understand.

still using this phone (64 GB version) till this moment for almost 5 years. Great full HD screen, still got latest MIUI update, still can play PUBGM smoothly (in low setting). I faced several problem with this phone but all those can be fixed by myself. Broken plastic casing = replacement easily found on my country online shop. Broken charging port = part can be easily found on my country online shop. bloated battery = replacement easily found on my country online shop. and those part are cheap.

Still pretty fast with Wi-Fi browsing nearly five years after release. It's my oldest phone I still own that still works. Even the battery has held up. Still one of my all-time favorites. So blessed to get this for $250 back in 2014 like the Essential Phone in 2018. I was lucky to get both quality phones for that price.

Saikat I'm from Bangladesh. Those phones are not in perfect condition, some issues must have there like touch is not working properly, battery draining faster, network problem etc. Xiaomi didn't sell them to market as they're somehow surely faulty. Not just Xiaomi but various Other phones they sell this way. I hope you can understand now. You're buying a faulty phone with these low prices.

Still my daily driver since January 2014, no issue whatsoever. The only thing I regret is didn't opt for the 64gb, 16gb Is barely hanging these days. The performance is still top notch, equivalent with middle class phone these days (snapdragon 6xx)and still running the newest game like w champ! I am one of the owner of MI3. Been using this phone since oct 2014, still work like a charm till today, battery usage also still on par with most newest smartphone. The problem is memory only 16gb, so cant stored many things and need to keep the memory free more than 2gb to ensure the phone no lag.

Sure, if it is in good condition. I still own a mi3 and am upgrading to oneplus 5 after using it for 3 years. Even now it works amazingly fast, just as good as any other phone. I personally wanted a Fingerprint sensor badly and that's the reason why I'm upgrading otherwise I'm still happy with my mi3.

Its slot contains only one sim + one another neno sim or micro sd card. 90% users want double sim card + micro sd card supportted hendset. Single sim slot is main defect of the mi phone. Redmi 4 black was ordered on 06-Jun-2017 and it was meant to deliver on 07-Jun-2017, but they said due to time constraint couldn't deliver. Later I called on Jun 8th they said the person meant to deliver was met with an accident blah blah. Later i called again, that time they said my package was delivered to wrong person and wrong address. How can they deliver to wrong person?That person has opened the phone, seal was broken and also took a pic and then package was returned to me like that. I ordered a new phone and i got a used phone. I have been in MI FAMILY for past 5 years but this is ridiculous service provided by MI. This is the worst experience. I don't care what the critics say. This is one of the best phones I ever owned. Only thing that is bad with it is the selfie cam and no expandable storage. Also, the rear cam is kinda bleh in low light. This is the only phone I regularly updated. I went from KitKat to MM and MIUI 5 to 8. It still runs smooth! I actually prefer typing on this than my S7 edge. MIUI is far better optimized than Samsung's Grace UX.

Hi, I’m writing this review after using MI Redmi 4 (4GB RAM, 64 GB) for a week+ and basically i would not recommend it to buy. I purchased it from MI website and they provide only replacement and not refund. • Problems: Internet speed it less compared to other mobiles. Ex: I was using Samsung Duos & YU Yureka earlier, Videos from youtube was streaming & downloading without any interruptions but in Redmi 4 at same location, same sim for more than 10 days I observed it was not even opening the video page. To cross check I even changed the sim back to Yureka and it was dam fast, videos downloaded tada ta taa… ultra fast and I checked on several occasions not just once. The network signal was full but net speed was 0.0 kbps. • If I’m paying double amount or such a huge amount of 12,999 INR and net speed is less and not working what’s the point in buying such smart phone? Without fast internet it’s like just a media player for anyone. • Next Camera is worst and not up to what he is giving build up, there is no clarity at all even at 13 mp and superfine image setting in summer brightness that too in outdoor. I had this doubt in my first snap itself and wanted to go an extra mile. I projected the image on HDMI Projector believe it or not, the edges of my face was looking like cartoon or some VGA image. • Phone heated on my first use, it was not loaded with any apps at all and while browsing play store and Youtube. • It even heated during charging in my air-conditioned office the temperature I recorded wes 42 C ( I can even provide screenshot taken by dialing *#*#4636#*#*), it would have even more than it. How on earth I can touch such phone and answer calls? MI customer care says it is normal even if temperature reaches upto 47 C OMG. Do they know what is 47 C?, if we get fever where temperature crosses 37 C we cannot touch our forehead and they are saying 47, god save MI customers. • For me initially charge time was taking very long time but later it got fixed to 2.5 – 3 hrs. In the beginning it was upto 6 – 8 hrs. • MI courier packing was not that great, and mobile device is not even provided with a thermocol / smooth plastic cover in the box. In transit it will easily have scratches. • Disadvantage is that we don’t even get earphone, MI remote did not work on my Philips TV 32PFL5306/V7. • LED light brightness is very less, you can even compare with basic phone like Nokia 1100. • Screen brightness is also less at full brightness. • You cannot get screen guard easily or which covers completely as it has curved screen. • Product got release more than 2 months still he is fooling customers by having sale weekly once, black color is worst, pls do not go for it if you decided to buy after going through my review and bad experience. • When I dialed up customer care, they said nothing can be done and even if it is defective we will replace not we will not provide refund. If I went through FKart, I would have easily returned and got refund. I jusr became fool but going through their ads in website. It’s not HASSELFREE its with full hassels. Advantages: • Battery backup is very good, it comes from 16 – 48 hrs easily • Does not heat while using hot spot while most of the mobiles heat up. Overall, he is giving full buildup but it not up to that what we imagine before buying for the price we are paying. For majority of you internet will work, but check if it is delivering that speed what we need or compare it with you previous device at same location it will be definitely less.

Same problem going to MIUI 8. Part of it is probably the battery has degraded so much after 2 yrs. But I noticed it drained from 27% to 25% within minutes and it keeps draining faster afterwards. Only got 3.5 hrs SOT when MIUI 7.5 still offered about 5-6 hrs. I regret ever updating to MIUI 8.

Used Nova Prime for years but decided to keep the default MIUI launcher. It is actually very smooth and quick on Marshmallow 6.0.1/MIUI 7. Has the gray back and looks clean. i have been using the "Xiaomi MI3" since 2014 still works perfectly, it is built for long last many people confuse it with Redmi versions and criticize. It has decent battery back-up and was the best phone in speed, camera quality and pricing at the time of its initial release making it my first option. Initially like all first time MIUI users I felt uncomfortable but soon enough you'll hate all other UIs. So like all phone users i hit a phase when i wanted to (dint need to) get a new phone,since single SIM slot and non 4G felt limiting. I would most definitely go for an MI phone, no question. Firstly, I suggest all potential buyers to look for what u want from a phone and then buy it ,rather than buy it and then complain about what it doesn't have (any phone).secondly, buy it from a trusted source (very important) and make sure you have exclusive service centers near-by. BTW MI3 rocks!!

There is only one solution to MIUI 7.5.1.0, 6.0.1 MM update ... dont turn you mobile off, instead when you dont want calls and all simply put it to flight mode, i have tested it and it worked like a charm. Only 2% battery usage in flight mode from 11 P.M. to 8 A.M. .... A hell lot better than a completely exhausted battery while in switched off mode.

im sorry, there's quite lack of info, Mi 3 is in MIUI 5, and planned to upgrade it to MIUI 7, now it is updated. the problem i am encountering now are.. First, in FB, when you go to profile on one person, the fb messenger should appear when you click the message, now i need to go to FB MESSENGER just to message the person. Second, they were changes in Google Photos, i am using the Google Photos also for editing pictures, now the set up and format changed and when saving the pictures i edit. before it will save a different file, and keep the original, now it will overlap the original. i went back using the PicsArt as my picture editor.

Xiaomi is the worst option to buy as I bought mi 4i in Sept, 15 and in march, 16 the Mic of my phone stopped working. Since then I am contacting mi service to repair my phone as it is still in warranty period but to no avail as they are not repairing it. I hv opted for their pick mi service twice but both the times they returned the same damaged device. I asked them to refund my loss or replace my phone but they just refused to do it. I suggest all not to buy from xiaomi as they don't resolve your problem but actually exaggerate it. They dnt even have their service center in main cities but in a very few cities in all over India. I encourage all to buy some other company phones but never try xiaomi. Now m going to raise this issue in consumer court as Xiaomi service is totally harrasing.

either you're misleaded or is poorly informed Xiaomi Mi3 is a single SIM phone, the official India versions are on 16GB (China has 16 & 64GB versions) There's no SIM1+SIM2+card or SIM1+card etc. here. There's NO card slot! BTW Redmi Note 3 has a hybrid slot, you can have SIM1+Card or SIM1+SIM2 (no card)

I'm a proud owner of this fantastic smartphone for more than a year now and I have no major trouble with it whatsoever. Runs and performs good but lags a bit when storage cries for space. No SD memory card slot available is such a shame but can still be managed. Well anyway, my phone has been dropped off the floor not more than ten times already, face first, on the sides and back, and still no dents and visible scratches can be seen. Miracle you may say but that's how awesome and durable this phone is to me. If you think Mi3 can be bought on physical stores or kiosk, you're dead wrong. Mi3 can only be bought on online stores but I highly doubt thay can still be around today because they sell like hotcakes if they do are available for sale. Old this phone may be but its specs can still compete from today's releases on the same price range. The last good quality and well built phone from Xiaomi, they ruined their quality control and reliability after Mi 4. My Mi 3 was a great phone, never caused me any problems, no overheating, build quality was nice and it felt great in hand but then I went for Mi 4 and it was a absolute disaster, it used to overheat too much, prone to problems, didn't have NFC. I used to like Xiaomi phones but their recent models are clearly disappointing.

I got my xiaomi3 in May of 2014, however I just can't take this anymore. I cracked the screen once in June of 2015, although until then the screen had never cracked when I dropped it. From one tiny little crack, half of my screen became immobilized. I had a screen repair done twice since then because it kept on cracking and cracking over the tiniest drops. Today, I had dropped it once more and even though I had a glass screen protector on (that supposedly could withstand a hammer! yeah right), my screen STOPPED WORKING. And once I removed the screen protector, I could see my real screen had cracked also and I'm just so done with the screens. I was sure that my next phone would be xiaomi again, but I'm not so sure. My friends with samsungs and iphones, even though their screen cracks, you could still use it. ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh im done i hate this phone

My family members use MI2A, MI2S, MI3, MI Note 2. I use MI3 from October 2014. MI 3 still the best even to compare it with MI Notes. Battery is still strong and last for at least 2 days of constant wifi and gsm connections and occasional gaming.

Huawei is releasing the Honor 5X for $200. Looks like a very nice phone, but my Mi 3 has late-2013 specs that still beats the $200 Huawei in 2016! And I only got it for $40+ more in July 2014. Snapdragon 800 > 615 But Xiaomi Redmi 3 with the 4100 mAh looks really tempting for $107. It has specs that surpasses my old HTC One M7. I like Xiaomi. Best value. You need to change the battery. Mine developed problem after a year or so. The effect was that from ca. 40% of power the capacity was going down very fast. After changing the battery and with a new miui 6 version - nigth and day. With little use (2-3 phonecalls a day, wifi) I can now achieve 5-6 days standby time.

My Mi3 that I Bought in february won’t charge anymore. When I plug it in, the battery keeps on depleting until it is at 0%. The device itself recognizes that there is a external powersource. (when the power is still on and I push the powerbutton, the screen comes on with the unlockslider showing 0% But the battery won’t charge. I have been using Mi3 for 1 years plus already and the battery life, performance and speed is still perfect. No lag no problem at all from the first time I used. The first thing that bug me is only the contact number is not saved to my country format and duplicated into empty contacts. But it is okay now and I really love this phone and I haven't found any other phone better than this with its price. I even dropped it a couple of times and 1 time very hard one the road and thank fully nothing went wrong with that incident.

I think its not true the touch screen is gorilla touch. I have mi3 with just a small crack you can not use it again until you change the touch screen. As at now mine is laying in my room. I have this phone for almost 2 months. Very impressed compared to a few rivals which came into my hands (Galaxy S3, LG G4c, Lumia 925, Galaxy S5 mini, iPhone 4/4s). Pros: excellent battery backup; with moderate internet usage (WiFi combined with 3G) it goes to 3 days; quality desing and feeling, it gets you the impression that you have a very expensive mobile in your hand and the material used to build is very good as i have dropped it 2 times from almost 1.5m and not even a scratch. Another excellent feeling is that is very smooth in operation (no lags, no waiting time, no app crashes) - honestly it's operating system "stoled" the best things from IOS and Android; display is absolutely amazing as colors and contrast and also cleans itself from fingeprints and others. Cons: lacks encryption which is needed to install work e-mail; sound during call is not very good and also the ringer could have been louder. All in one - congratulations Xiaomi for this rising star and also for your interesting operating system.

And once you gave your phone to service centre for repair then they take 40-45 days to repair and when questioned they say that we didn't received parts from MI. Xiaomi's service centre is poor and disgusting. Just for screen replacement they take Rs 6500/- Please don't buy any products from Xiaomi instead go with other brands.

I've been using xiaomi mi3 for almost 1.5years . I really do like this phone. It doesn't give me any problem at all. The problem is that mi3 only have 2gb ram, I bought the 16gb memory, its not enough for me. Lol. But overall. Everything works fine to me. Its a superb phone tbh. I do take selfies a lot, the secondary camera looks great for me. The battery life could last 1 and a half day for me, even if i always uses the wifi. But if you're using your data, it might drain the battery a little more, still last 1day for me. And now I'm planning on buying mi4.

I have ordered Redmi 2 Prime Phone from MI India. It was haiving some dead pixels on the left side of the screen after 4-5 days these dead pixels become thick black line and screen starts blinking. Now 45 days passed taking follow ups but all is useless. No one is doing anything. Please refund or replace my handset. The ONLY thing all other stelar phones can laugh about the Mi3 is sound quality with headphones. Xiaomi is selling phones in India with ZERO set up for after sales services. I bought an MI4 in Feb' 15 for 20K, and it started having connectivity issues within 3 months. I have been calling Xiaomi frantically to no effect. The picked up my phone from my home TWICE, and returned saying mother board has been changefd, software has been changed and what not....but the problem remains the same. Going to Service center didn't help either. 20K gone down the well. Take my advice...stay away from Xiaomi!! They are chaeters!!

Dear Sir, I am writing my concerns about this company I thought would be different than a regular Chinese company, SO call Chinese Apple - Xiaomi. Guess what they can never be even a shadow of Apple the way they are doing business and treating their customers. I had screen display issue in their "Successful" phone Redmi note. it has yellow dots on screen and you can search and find that there are several comments in Internet of people facing the same problem. I went to Malad service centre to give this for repair. After wasting an hour they informed me that screen is damaged as there was a slight dent. You can ask 1000 people and no one will say that it was a dent. It is just that a little bit of paint in the corners has worn off due to flip cover that I use which clamps the phone on the corners. They took this excuse and said if I want to fix this I need to pay 4000. The staff was making up these stories, I in fact asked other customer in queue to check and confirm if it is dent or just paint gone off. They agreed that there was no dent. I also compared my phone with two customers who were using flip cover, they had similar markings on corner. I waited and saw that there phone was repaired as their problem was smaller - one had volume key not working and another had charging point issue. The staff also was not helpful and said that if he accepts this repair 4000 out of his monthly salary of 10000 will be deducted. Out of fustation I said that I should not have bought this phone, he said that to go and buy samsung phone with similar spec spending 20000. I am never buying Xiaomi or recommending to anyone. I will even put my review in Flipkart website as they partner will such bad companies. someone rightly said that online purchases are not trustworthy and Xiaomi proved it right. Just to add, I tried taking picture of the phone and no matter which camera I use the worn off paint is not even visible. If anyone has any doubt I am happy to submit my phone for inspection. I bought a Redmi phone model no. HM 2LTE-IN in June last week 2015. I would not recommend you to buy this phone again. Apps which you download goes to internal memory still if you are having SD card you cannot move apps for that you have to break a warranty. So memory gets full in 3-4 apps and you cannot enjoy all other apps because it cannot be moved to SD card still if you are having a 32gb card. Sometimes your alarm doesn't buzzes if your phone is not silent, though don't know which disease it catches in this phone mostly in the morning. When somebody calls neither it rings or vibrates you have to switch off and on phone. Disgusting phone waste of money very slow. Fed up.

I bought an MI4 from flipkart in May 2015. The handset was defective and so they replaced it in June. Apparently the cheap phone is without a gorilla glass. The phone fell from a height of approx 2 feet and cracked. Poor thing. I had purchased the phone for 18k. And when I visit the service center, they say it costs 9k to replace a screen for a cheap phone that now costs 15k. Looters are making cheap phone without gorilla glass and are making money off customers by charging such high ridiculous prices for spare parts. And to top that, their service is soo poor that I receive the following message when i try to mail them. "The recipient's mailbox is full and can't accept messages now. Please try resending this message later, or contact the recipient directly." Now , Is this phone worth your time and money?? Hell noo!!!. It's not even worth reading my review here. Product, distribution, and After sales service in India sucks big timee!!. You might need to visit China to get anything moving.

I am not happy with the phone i received ( Mi-4i-32 GB grey), the phone is having many issues, i.e, It is heating, and hanging, even the sound of the speaker is very low. i wanted to return, however the return option is not available on the web site.i went to the service center Gurgaon(Mi Exclusive Service Center),yesterday to get this checked,Vide Job ID:JS15091200112 DT.12.09.2015, however the service center had returned the handset telling that all the MI handsets have same issue. When asked for the DOA sheet they had refused to provide the same. request you to return the handset immediately, else i have to file a consumer case. Guys many of you are saying that mi3 has detained the feature of quick charge in the past year but I will make some modification to that statement, I am using mi3 from a year now approx from last Sept in the mid year I noticed it start taking some more time for charging but then I found out that quick charge comes in play when your battery is critical around 10% and for those whose mi3 isn't charging fast from 10% too try charging in switch off mode it will charge to 60% in half n hour .

I have purchased Xiomi Mi4 before two months, my phone pattern locked. So called customer care three two four times after long trying. The problem not solved after swiping user data and reboot. The phone in standing mode, no menu display. From customer care taken address of service centers (Surat) but said address Xiomi services center not exist. Again confirmed with Customer care center, same address and land line number provided. Called that number, talked with person said that this Accountant office and many phones coming for Xiomi company customers. Informed to customer care, but they do not bother about the problem and repeated we have this. My phone dead since 1 week...

My Xiaomi phone in lying in noida service center for last 1 month (job sheet no 1887) require mother board replacement (calibration issue). Service center people say that require 30 min to do the needful, waiting for motherboard from Xiaomi. Called Xioami customer care more than 10 times (complain No 198023), nothing happened, no escalation process. Also informed customer care before writing, they were least bothered. If they do not have spare parts, how are they selling phone in India? Please restrain yourself from buying this company phones.

Camera quality not good even it is 13 MP rear and also front is not good. On off side switch not work properly. When you listen music, humming sound also comes which disturbs the mood for listening good songs.

I've been using this phone for the past 1 year. Apart from the lack of micro SD card, I have no complaints. I've yet to break the screen but according to 3 of my friends who have this phone if you break the screen the digitizer stops working unlike Samsungs or Sonys. Fortunately, it only costs about US60 to replace where I live. If you plan on getting one, so yourself a favor and install a tempered glass screen protector. It's a cheap investment costing only US10 that will save you more in the long run. I'm careless with my stuff - I've already cracked 2 screen protectors and am pretty sure the second one saved my display.

Get a new data charging cable. I have the same problem until I used a different one. Make sure that you do not pull your cable too fast when disconnecting. Dont buy cheap ones also and take care of them :)

Hi, I have been using this phone from past 7 months now... N Touch wood, no complains at all.... No Lagging, No battery issue, No hanging, no crashing... Just one thing though!! It says that it has Qi2.0 which will ensure 60% of charging within 30mins. Strange though that this never happened once.... In all these months!!!

for me, this is the BEST CHINA SMARTPHONE,. i haven't experience any problem, its with me since SEPTEMBER 2014, i use it almost 18 - 20 hrs per day.. it also fall many times yet i still experiencing any problem.. i only notice 1 thing but its okay, it cannot make folder in your Gallery.

High posibility you bought a TDD China domestic market version, while your country using FDD 3G, there is no solution for this, you been cheated by the seller. Go to seting & see About Phone if you model show Mi3 W or not, if not then is a TDD version, you can wish bye2 not 3G forever.

After purchasing this phone in the flash sale 0f October 2014,i thought i had the best phone i could need, but sadly with in 5 months the phone stopped working.At least i thought since there is a new service station in my area (panjim-goa)but it turned out to be of no help at all. In fact they are ones who made me realise that purchasing this phone was the biggest mistake of my life. They kept my phone with them for 3 whole months under the false pretext of "Fixing" it for 2 months and i was told daily about the delay in delivery that too only when i called up to inquire, i was graced by no contact by them. After lying to me for an entire month and constantly assuring me the phone was fixed it just had to be delivered from pune( where it was supposedly fixed) to goa i am told by them that water has seeped into my phone and it isn't fixed. I feel extreamly disappointed and cheated about these lies i was being fed for 3 months and now i feel like they are just trying to wait out my 1 yr warrenty period. as a student a loss of 14,000 rupees is not acceptable to me and i feel that this company is responsible to owe me some sort of compensation as their device failed within the warrenty period.

If ' background data disabled ' is showing then close the app forcefully by using the button(any one from recents,home and back key). You can set the button for forcefully closing the app in settings(long press navigation button).

This is Regarding Xiaomi India:-The Customer Care and After-Sales services are really HORRIBLE. I had Given my Phone for a repair at a Xiaomi Authorized Service Station 1 and a half MONTH ago, while repairing the Phone the people at the service station damaged the MOTHERBOARD of my phone and they are asking me to pay for the damages made by them. I have registered various complaints but there has been no response from Xiaomi India on this issue. I have faced a lot of problem because of this and would not want anyone else to go through the same. THE PATHETIC AFTER-SALES make the PRODUCTS NOT WORTH BUYING.

I had puchased a Xiomi Mi3 in August 2014. Within a fortnight the phone slipped from my hand and the glass cracked. The display stopped working. I got the glass changed at the service centre in Park street Kolkata by paying approximately Rs 6000/= . The phone was working fine till April'15 , when some software upgrade request was given by Xiomi and i accepted. Now the speakerphone automatically becomes on , the voice call automatically gets recorded and when i am typing something in whatsapp the keyboard starts typin automatically and many a times messages with wierd characters gets typed and sent without any command being give by me. Unfortunately in last two months it has started behaving like a cheap chinese phone.

I had drop my phone no less than 8 times, most of it is real nasty drop, include on cement floor, tar road, staircase, marble floor, all drop above 3 feet, till date not a single damage, in fact not even a single scratch, my phone still in mint condition, all I put is a cheap screen protector & a gel casing. The service centre staff doing such redicules things...my mi1 set have some problems....so I visited Sony world, kormangala branch on 22nd of this month, when I showed the PC to them, they said they have to check the PC...they took inside and they checked the PC but they didn't informed anything until I asked them....when I asked them what is the status...then they said they can't do anything bcz its physically got damaged...I said them OK give my PC back....they removed some parts like battery & other parts from the mobile...which is not at all acceptable..

Hello Miui Team, I have bought this Beautiful crafted Peice MI4i through Flipkart. Everything working fine. But, I have been facing two big problems. 1. Battery Life 2. Very Low Sound 1. Battery Life: The Battery drains very quickly, I have another Micromax mobile, which is 2100mah, but it lasts nearly one day after using wifi, music and videos playing and it is one year old. But, Mi4I is not lasting for the whole day with out using Music, Video playing and wifi (just few minutes used) , 3/4 of the day, it came to 10%. (I have already updated to latest Version and I have also, switched off GPS, Autostart Applications, Syn etc..) 2. Very Low Sound, I have put the High Volume but the output is like just sound is at 50%. So, I went to the volumes section in the Setting while playing a song, and I moved the Media Sound slider to 50%, the output is not coming at all. if you say, these things will be like this, then I have to return back the product. as, My Micromax Iris is far better than this one. I have seen in this forum, there are many users are facing the same kind of problems. I hope, I will get some solution to My problem Please don't suggest to use 3rd Party Application to boost the Batter and Sound.

Mi 3 is the best phone..to own...considering my outgoing cell phone was a iPhone 3gs...it is working fine no issues whatsoever and is a value for money proposition. Without proper authorized service center back-up, Xiaomi's offerings in the Indian market are hopeless! I have an MI3. The screen cracked. Once the phone went into repair, it has been going to the service center every fortnight! I bought a Redmi 1S for back-up. Even that developed some problem in the mother-board. Now I alternate between both instruments - one of them is always at the Service Center at any given point of time. Spares are not readily available, there are no trained technicians who can give proper guidance, & the online helpline of Xiaomi is helpless - they only give the addresses of their authorized service centers - nothing else. Xiaomi's after-sales service is a bigg bigg disappointment. They can never hope to capture the Indian market with such pathetic service.

I'll never buy XiaoMi again. I supported them from day one with the very first model. My xiaomi 2 began to suffer from a screen defect within the first year, a yellow bright streak down the right hand side of the screen. I had assumed I had damaged the phone somehow and proceeded to purchase the mi3. Ten months later and this phone is beginning to suffer the exact same problem as the last one. I have since discovered from searching that this is due to poor quality adhesive behind the screen being effected by the heat. Common poor quality issue. Xiaomi told me I would have to take the phone to a service center in China because I bought there when I was living there. I can't believe they cannot offer another solution bar traveling to China. This company can stick its products, I'll never buy from them again. I considered xiaomi as an example of the future of Chinese homegrown products, one which was helping to change the stigma of Chinese products being poor. Guess I was wrong all along.

I really love my mi3 I've using it for a year already and lollipop experiece is FcK! its very smooth and very good!! u will appreciate android when u move to android 5.1.. multi tasking experience is awsome! apps loads faster and very smooth UI.. hello guys this is my honest review about xiaomi MI 3..i m using this phone since last 4 months...first of all i m not facing too much hanging problems in fact it only hangs when my RAM only left 170-150mb ...for solution restart your phone every day it only take 9-10 second ....:p......during playing heavy games it heats up from top side which is very common in all device ....i m not facing any calling problem during incoming or out going calls ....yes some time my proxy sensor does not work ..but it happened becoz of hair oil stick on sensor ....display quality is just awsm battery backup very good i have used my phone for 1 day and 6 hour in a single charging... i feel 16 gb is not enough ....and speaker sound is less which i personally feel...phone become hot during charging bcoz it has fast charging option.... it charged very quickly as compare to other device...i think it is very good device....i m advance user... my phone is rooted with cwm recovery

The phone is good in comparision with the features pieceand pricing if not bought a fresh piece.the liked the camera and screen good speed too.its been 6 mo i was using it.unfortunately my phone got wet n damaged last mo..the service centre talks about replAcing the motherboard in 8000 with old motherboard return or only changing the motherboard without old return in 4500 inr.the worst part about buying such phones is the service centres they are far n really take time to even further repair.the service centres are few in Mumbai.i want suggestions whether i should replace the phone with motherboard or just sell the dead phone.i dont know whose going to take it? thats why never buy electronics online n specially phones watches with rare service centres.its wastage of time and money.

Hi, While i am attending or making outgoing call, my mi3 mobile is locking screen and at the same time screen is going in off mode and not able disconnect also. If the call is ended by the other person then only i am able to get the screen. And when i am using mi3 headsets it not possible to disconnect the call from head phones.

Had the same problem, the solution is; Go to Xiaomi's service center, ask them flash the OS to the original OS when it was shipped [4.4.2] and check. Now it is working wonders for me.

Never uninstall necessary apps using Titanium Backup. I learned it the hard way yesterday. My phone randomly was in the boot screen or fast reboot for so long. At least one hour. Thought I bricked it. Restored a flash ROM via recovery mode. Then updated to the latest MIUI 6.4.2. I came from a stock Android ROM but I am liking MIUI again! I miss some of its features. Feels more stable than 6.3.9 and I feel no battery drain. Also my previous ROM couldn't be read as MTP on my Asus Transformer Book tablet. With MIUI, it does now. I went from being worried, hating it and thinking of replacing it to loving it again. But MIUI 6 does feel jumpy typing on a message box like this one. Overall, neither Mi 3 and MIUI 6 are perfect but they still rock! Recovery mode is so easy. Power button and volume +. It never does get bricked.

Still the best phone in the market for me, compared to the new phone of 2015. this phone still suits for my personality and needs. Design, performance and everything. I hope xiaomi will make a new version of mi3 like mi3 pro, they have mi4 but I don't like the design. They can add 4G and modified cool design for a new version of mi3(hoping). Then on MIUI6, the touch response got too sensitive which messed up my typing. Now on a custom stock ROM, those issues went away. Fast, fluid, maintain the same good battery life, and 99% bug-free. MIUI can be cool with customization but troublesome. Stock Android is boring but I prefer better performance in most cases over design. A- Best smartphone under $250...

Xiaomi has backup cloud for that effect. If you enable backup to Xiaomi Cloud, of course data will be sent. Disable all backup to Xiaomi Cloud and NOTHING will be sent. Or you can choose wich items to backup to China servers.

Yes, same problem with me. I am from delhi and have purchased Redme 1s on 16 Dec. In 1st week of FEB 2015 the phone stop working and I submitted to Lajpat Nagar Service center, they told that h/w will be repaired and it will take 15 days. Its now more than 1 month and did not get my phone yet. I have chased Service center as well as MI Customer care more than 100 times but none of them give any positive response. I have also filed a complaint in consumer court against this poor quality product. I would also suggest to my friend, please do not waste your money for this poor Chinese product.

Best phone ever had and very very cheap for quadcore 2.3ghz, 13mp and battery 3050 mah.. in 7months of using it the only problem is when someone calling you then you cancel it will automatically off screen even when you playing but that's not a big issue, i didn't yet upgrade my MI3 to avoid problems and bug.. ^_^

Recently i dropped my phone in water.. I soon realizee that the vibrator stopped working.. And i had practically no hopes that it'll ever get repaired.. I am from a small town-bareilly(UP) & to my surprise they have a service center even here now.i walked up to the service centre n they told me to deposit my bill copy and that my part will need a week to come. I had a trip coming to delhi. So i went to a service centre at janakpuri,n dey told clearly that if its just the vibrator problem, dey need 24hrs for repair. Now since i dint have those 24hrs also,i dint give it for repair. When i came back to bareilly,dey told they already recieved my part & they chkd my phone. Thou d new vibrator also dint work. So they diagnosed it as a problem from motherboard. They took the complaint again n it took them 5 more days to get it fixed. Right nw,my phone is repairs d,in a total time period of 12 days,and i claim it as "Not bad".. I previously owned samsaung,nokia,micromax brands & whenever i needed some service,it was no prompt & better then this. To me,der services were reasonable & if they provide this kind of service,i am as a customer very happy.. N btw,mi3 users-v6 miui is -" Beautiful " to use.. Its a lovely interface u'll fall in love with.. So pls update ur handsets OTA..

I purchased Xiomi Redmi 1S in Nov 2014 in India . The item was delivered promptly and the packaging was good. The mobile worked well but for only two months. Around 20th Jan 2015 it simply died. Please note that the Redmi 1S was in perfect condition otherwise. Xiomi has only 2 repair centers in Pune. The nearest one was 10 km away. I went to PC Support , the authorized center in Pune on 31st Jan. This place repairs all kinds of Mobiles and laptops. I had to wait for 4 hours. I was informed that they would take a couple of days to inform me about the problem/issues. On 9th Feb I rang up PC Support, who told me that the LCD screen was defective and had to be replaced. I was also informed that Xiomi takes long time to supply spare parts and therefore it will take time to repair the item. I rang up Xiomi support directly. I was told that the spare part will be provided within a week. The support number is 13012. This was on 9th Feb. Since I did not receive any call from them, I rang up Xiomi support again on 16 Feb. This time I was told that the spare part has to come from China and they were not sure whether it was dispatched. Anyway, spares are sent by sea and therefore will take an indefinite amount of time. I was told not to inquire again and will get a call once they repair the mobile. Today it's 21st Feb - more than a month since the Xiomi Redmi 1s became defective. I have a feeling that I will have to go through much more before I get the Redmi 1S back - if at all. The message seems clear - all of you who have a Xiomi product must keep praying that nothing goes wrong with their mobile. In many cases prayers may not work since the quality is poor. If your Xiomi product goes defective you may have to buy another ( not from Xiomi I assume). Xiomi does not have it's own repair centers - it rides piggy back on others. Spares have to come all the way from China ??????? ,which means even if you are lucky , it may take months to get it back. Overall, my experience has been bad. There are two conclusions - either buy a branded mobile or go for an Indian made stuff. At least the spares would be available if mobile is manufactured in India. The third option is to take the risk and throw Xiomi mobile Redmi 1S away without bothering to get it repaired. My rating is based on the total amount of time it worked ( 45 days approx). Time it is taking for repairs ( not yet repaired after 30 days approx). Information that spares have top be sent from China and that too by sea ( come on a ship) was alarming. I would not recommend anyone to buy any Xiomi product. The quality is suspect and poor. Support is non-existent.

After V6 3.9.0 update everything works well in my Mi3 not a single problem, everything is better than V5 34, previously a lot useless repetitive settings now all become simple, I love the new firmware. Hi guys, I have purchased MI3 from flipcart. For one month was golden days, later on it started showing problems like sim card removed most of thee times. I took it their so called customer care center, they said mother board got damaged and there were two more MI3 mobiles with same problem. they said it will take 25 days to get it repair. how the mother board of a brand new phone can be damage. my request you to every one please do not even think to buy any of the MI mobile phones. they people are making fools. my experience was worst with it. so guys pl do not go for MI phones. will suggest else buy any Nokia phones.

I have also updated to MIUI6 and my OTG is working. My 16gb pen drive is formatted with FAT32 partition. Try FAT32 and see if it solves the problem.

I feel the camera improve especially night shoot now much better, The internal avaialble memory increase for Miui5 12GB to 13GB, meaning MIUI6 is a much lighter UI compare to MIUI5, now the battery also last longer, very good update, since now most user need 3G for Whatsapp, We Chat, Facebook & etc, toggle for 2G/3G is a jokes, not sure about india but in my country 2G is only in remote area, all City have 3G/4G, only those 50 dollar phone still use 2G...rofl

In MIUI v6 we can't assign the menu button as a shortcut key to SETTINGS, which was there in MIUI v5 and even the 2G/3G toggle isn't listed in toggles. Camera quality still didn't improved and many settings from camera got disappeared. Feeling so sad :/

Hi, I had uodated my Mi3 to MIUI6, it was better from miui5, but it took some to get used to it. But, all of sudden, after having it for about 10 days, there appears to be a problem with touch. The phone automatically opens apps or contacts. Don't know what happened? On contacting service centre(authorised), i was told it is due to the new upgrade, as it is not stable. Therefore i'd to visit them & they flashed my Mi3 to original Miui5. Now, there is no problem. Hence, please wait somedays or get it confirmed from Service Centre to download Miui6.

2 drawbacks i saw from MIUI5 to MIUI6 are : 1. No music shortcuts on lock screen, in V5 you had controls to change songs or pause the playback but in MIUI6 there are no controls on lock screen. 2. No 3G/2G toggle shortcut in dropdown menu. This could be useless for others but i used that togggle alot and now its missing from the dropdown. Good phone - but a lot of calls are not clear - due to dynamic defective background noise suppression. Tried changing the settings - but this resulted in my Call recorder not recording properly. Took my SIM card out of the MI3 and put it into an old Nokia - and result was very clear calls in the Nokia (E72) - including Call Recording. Other cons - built-in SDCard (non-removable) - built-in battery (non-removable) - except by service engineers. The SDCard issue is important to me as it enables me to compare and sync files and folders. Although the MI3 can be connected to a PC via USB, there is no easy way to compare or sync with the PC.

First of all. Phone specs and working is all good, but here is a very serious thing people to note: Once you drop your phone just if it slips or falls from your bed or anyway it is the doom for you. you can also manually flash your mi3,but i got the update without rooting,rooting is very easy on xiaomi devices i have installed several custom roms on my redmi 1s.currently running cyanogenmod on redmi 1s that got released on 15th jan,a lot better than redmi 1s with miui .miui is not suited for devices having less than 1.5 gb of ram.

Execellent phone for everyday use. I use it fro some non demanding games For example, 4pics1word, candy crush = No problems. Battery life is amazing, average 2 days. I dont really use the camera ofter but when I do I have no problems with it. Overheats sometimes, (When i spend 5 hours on skype) but it's not a huge problem. Dropped it a douzen times from my pocket as i reach for it and it only has small minor dents on the corners (I do have a thin plastic protection case). All in all, if you want a budget phone that looks good with a good interface (MIUI), runs increadibly smoothly and it just as good as any other phone that is sold on the market. I definitely recommmed this phone for the price. I ordered it in England with all the other phone competitors (Samsung, etc) and I do not regret my decision to purchace the MI3.

Phone is sleek, which is great yet can easily fall. Must hold it with grip. Performance is above average. Scored an average of 42K in Antutu v5.5. Phone was dropped hard on the concrete floor by 4ft earlier today by accident but I only got a minor dent on the upper left corner. I got this phone since august 28, 2014, dropped it many times for.at least 6ft and still working smoothly, the screen is intact thanks to CG3, sadly there are dents on the four corners :) but it really is a good phone. If your budget ranges 10th to 12th Philippine pesos, then mi 3 is the best phone for you :) now if u are that rich kind of a person, go for something expensive. Your choice :) I love my phone. Dude I am also having same problem with my Mi3 on Nov 17 when I submitted my Phone in Pune service center (HCL - SHIVAJI NAGAR). Well I picked my phone back on 30th Dec (53 days later) because till yet it's not been repaired. The people from service center are rude and ask for more time everytime I try to contact them. So when I had taken my favorite phone on 30th Dec it was broken in Corners, it was not even closed properly (as Camera Part was fitted properly while closing the case). Hi I m from Pune. I purchase xiaomi MI3 at October 2014. After 3 months it having problem about head phone jack. So I tell problem to service center which is in Pune at Bund garden road name is PC support. They told me that we will find out problem and call u. But since 2 week there was no reply from them and when I call to them they didn't give me exact solution about the problem and so after two week when I visited to that service center and ask about my mobile then they tell me your mobile having board problem so we will order new board from company this will take place one and half month to come. And after that there is no any response from them and they also not receiving my call when I call them. This is very bad experience that I have. I really feel very nervous about xiaomi mobile and there service center. My all work are depend on mobile so I am facing lots of problem and this service center expand the time of repairing mobile.

About the second problem,I faced similar problems, that my voice is not transfered in video call and other voip calls. I found out that it was because of Google services running in the background. They always turn on the microphone so that for other purposes, microphone will not even work. Try a voice recorder. Most probably it wount also work after 5 seconds. To correct this, turn 'ok Google' detection off.

I am using MI3 since Aug'14...and it is running amazingly...however now i am now facing issue with loudspeakers as it is not giving me quality sound in some songs which we call in hindi (awaaz fatna)...anybody else facing this issue ? please suggest if we can fix this ?

Where is MIUI V6??It was supposed to be out by dec end but still no sign. To be frank i dont even expect them to release lollypop update before next dec. Its a beautiful phone, which requires constant support from the Software part. Love my MI3

HI, using MI3 since November. Its good phone with good spead but facing following issues ; 1. MIUI stopped working errors. Due to which Im unable to even call. 2. While videochat using HANGOUT, my voice doesn't reach at other end, while their voice is always clear. 3. go to service center they will replace it without any penny. my sim card reader also got damaged and they replaced it within 1 week (new motherboard)

You can do video chat using the phone through Skype and viber. all u need to do is allow Skype to access the camera app as it is disabled by default. Once u change the setting Video chat is possible. I meet my parents daily through skype using Xiaomi MI3.

Outside of China you will see dozens and dozens and dozens (hundreds even) of other phones before you even see one Xiaomi, if ever.

This is the dumbest statistic I hear over and over. Xiaomi just became #3 so you have to think of all the past quarters and years they weren't #3. Why do people think just because they make #3 for last quarter it means Xiaomi phones everywhere? The #3，#4, and #5 spots are separated by less than a million units so they could just as easily become #4 or #5 next quarter but they will have to quadruple sales to get to #2 so that's not going to happen any time soon.

Mine bought in the last trench on FlipKart, throws up google app not working kind of pop ups with option to report or continue with OK. Even after several reports I am not sure if there will be a solution. Another problem is that in my 3 e-mails that I have configured on my Mi3, none offer me any landscape view. Kind of irritating situation. No solutions yet? The official Chinese version of MiUi manager is another issue. To get English version we need to download third party programmes that I wish can be avoided

I see, you will need to enable it first, first go to settings - about phone - tap build number 7 times or more and a pop up message will appear saying you are now a developer, the developer settings will appear after that. but since you said developer settings is not present i don't think that is causing you problem. how bout your ram? do you enough free ram available? if you have a lot of running apps that maybe the cause

I have used mi3 sice may-2014 no errors till now, i have never restarted xiaomi for errors or bugs, i can use web surfing while listen music in the same time playing clash of clans end some other other app all together open, sometimes i play two different games in parallel. I have upgraded to miui v6 maybe that has happend on miui v5 but i dont remember to say it right. Ram seem to be 1gb always busy but never get stock. i dont know thy this is happening to you guys

it's currently selling phone in india though not all xiaomi phones are available. but due to recent infringment case filed by ericsson, xiaomi can only sell phone up to january 8, 2014. after that xiao mi may not be able to sell in india anymore.

there are only two things i can think of First on settings - developer settings - don't keep activities ( close app once as soon as you leave it ) is it currently switch on? if it is on, then this may have cause the problem. 2.) the device may be running out of ram space, if there are no available ram your phone can't multi task properly as a result it can't run two apps at the same time, for MI3 having 2GB of ram I don't think this will cause the problem unless there are a lot of things running in the background that may consume your ram space. try checking you available ram memory. settings-apps-all. close other apps that you're not using and retest.

did you make sure that your data plan is working? it is possible that your data subscription is not working, also double check your APN settings. normally if data settings is correct you will see symbols on your signal bars. (G, E, H, H+, 3G 3G+) if there is no symbol then your APN settings are not set correctly.

You have damaged the sim reader (I guess by using a sim adapter). Go to the service centre and shell out 8K appx to change motherboard or go to a good local service guy who MAY change the sim reader for around 1500 but u loose ur warranty.

Just sharing my experience with this device. I bought my unit as part of the bundle by my provider Smart. First time I connected to the internet and login to Google was fine. But a few minutes later i'm receiving emails saying failed to get to the destination. I have no idea what were they. Then Google Mail warned me a suspicious activity was detected in an unknown device and had deactivated my account on that device. Seems to me the unit itself is hacked. Now I don't wanna use it on the internet anymore. Aside from calls, now it serves as a high class paper weight.

Seem like your WiFi setting is corrupted by some cache memory, I have the same problem previously with my Samsung & Mi3, try install an apps call "FXR WiFi Fix & Rescue" from Google Play Store, run it, this will help you clear the cache from previous WiFi connection, hope it help, all the best.
