Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus - User Reviews

  • Only problem is mi phone do not release quickly.

  • Why did they cancel the Plus version ? Need at least 6 inch screen on today's 18:9 design Even 6.2 inch Samsung S9+ feels "just right" in my hand Much better than my old 5.5 inch 16:9 screen

  • I have used the original Xiaomi Mi 6 for some time; now its my wife's phone she love it as much as I did and it is still going strong. I now have have HTC U11 and a Apple iPhone 8 Plus. I miss the battery life on the Xiaomi Mi 6, the U11's battery life is horrible. The international version of Xiaomi's MIUI it the BEST (loved it) second only to IOS and in many ways better than IOS. HTC U11's android oreo skin implementation is a NIGHTMARE. Go Xiaomi!! I have never been to China and DO NOT read a word of Mandarin.

  • iphone has bad ppi. QHD is better for flagship

  • Obviously, It's just rumored, and some of the components on your phone is made in China, So what's your issue with that??? Racist... Not all from China are Non-durable, They produce and make greater innovations on technology.

  • I don't know if this device will be released with this specs and with this name but Xiaomi's big problem is that most of their devices are made only for the Chinese market and rarely get any kind of global updates. Last year's equivalent, the Mi5S Plus is still running on Android 6 and that says it all.

  • @tudy000 i think you are little overreacting... Of course 386 ppi is the highest density. But FullHD resolution on a 5.7" Screen is more than just acceptable. My old HTC One (M7) had a pixel density of 469 ppi.. so what? Iphone 7 has 326 ppi... Positive thing of having FullHD with Snapdragon 835 is that the GPU Performance will be much better and probably also better for the battery-usage.

  • Disagree (partially) with the opinion. When purchasing a high end phone, I'll expect it serves MORE (with extra features). If mid/low range has it, why it is missing from high end? Yup, there is option to use USB for headphone jack. But the FM radio is MISSING forever (online radio can't replace it).

  • what's with the shitty pixel density? my lg g2 has 447. Wtf?! and no card slot really? pff garbage.

  • If it's a thing it's going to have Android 7+, not 6, that's for sure

  • Hi, when this is going to be released, any info please!

  • Atleast this website help many people a lot. One mistake its fine. Everyone does mistake sometime

  • It is not going to be released because this smartphone is still a rumor...facepalm

  • Hi , can any one help me when this is going to be released in India.

  • Monalfin, are you day dreamer? Where you found 22 MP camera on Mi 6 plus? Where you found battery 4000mAH? Do not just bluff. Before you put your article, check properly.

  • "It shows features like Snapdragon 8XX (probably Snapdragon 835), UFS storage, DDR4 RAM, 3D glass body, huge display, large battery of 4,000mAh capacity with long stand-by and fast charging, 22-megapixel camera with 4K video shooting support, 4G data connecting, USB Type-C, NFC, IR blaster, and more."

  • It didn't come out due to snapdraagon 835 shortage.

  • Various sources state that it will be announced this summer. Probably this month. We'll see. Moreover, the leakster believes that we would get to see the unveiling of the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus, Xiaomi X1 and MIUI 9 ROM in this month. Read more at:

  • I don't think this will come soon. this phone has been expected on april, and its july now. this could have been pretty good phone for xiaomi users.

  • Any new Infos? Thinking about waiting for the Smartphone since i'd love a decent battery life

  • I agree, a mobile device is more than an fm, ir blaster and headphone jack but the converse is also true. A mobile device is more than just having a top of the line processor and a high resolution screen. What makes a mobile device truly smart and omnifunctional are those 'analog' features like fm radio, ir blaster and headphone jack that will still be there long after you're out of data and long after the phone's powerful processor, hi res screen and android version becomes obsolete.

  • This is just a rumor lmao

  • Mi Mix was an experimental device, meant for classes (not masses). Iphone is not just about looks and brand. Its an experience in its own, if you know how to use it. It supports its devices with updates for long. Personally I have used almost all platforms and have found BLACKBERRY & IPHONE are very productive and secure, provided user knows how to use it. In android world SONY, MOTOROLA and XIAOMI are good ones. Please understand, a mobile device is more than fm,ir blaster and headphone jack.

  • is Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus is going to be released, or stopped manufacturing ; any genuine info please

  • I really don't understand Xiaomi because there is no reason why its flagship phone should remove the headphone jack, ir blaster, fm radio, sd card support, reduce the battery capacity, etc. when all those things are all present in their lower priced offerings. These features aren't going to add much to an already higher priced flagship. The only reason I can think of is AESTHETICS/APPEARANCE. They removed all of those features not because power users don't use or want them but because they really believe the improved APPEARANCE (slimmer, sleekier, classy body) will compensate for the loss of those features. Well Xiaomi is dead WRONG. The dumbing down strategy (removing features that help slim down a phone) in the name of classy, sleek, futuristic premium appearances only works with the iphone whose main selling point is point is classiness and slimness of appearance and its brand name prestige. Using the same 'appearance/physical beauty first' strategy doesn't work in an Android phone. Look at what happened to the Mi Mix. No amount of futuristic looking uber-slim bezel free phone will compensate for the loss of the fm radio, ir blaster and headphone jack support. It sold less than the mi max and the main reason really is not the price (its much cheaper now) but its lack of features (ir blaster, head phone jack, fm radio, etc.) which are present in the mi max. For android users, looks and prestige is secondary to features. Features are the main selling point. Only the iphone has looks and styling as its main selling point and no Android manufacturer can take that away from Apple. Iphone users are conspicuos buyers who want brand appearance and prestige above all. Features and substance don't matter to them or are only secondary that's why they are ok with removal of features that can add bulk to the phone. This strategy doesn't work with most Android users.

  • Flagship device is suppose to be for a those people who are power users and need to have uncompromised performance for productivity. FM tuner, IR blaster are entertainment tools, which power users hardly use. Headphone jack function is just for headphone insertion. If it can be taken care by usb port, why have additional opening just for one function. Please understand flagship is not for entertainment but for productivity and professional use. Hope you understand the difference.

  • I really can't understand why Xiaomi's flagship phones don't have FM radios or an sd card support while all its other lower priced phones have those features. Snapdragon 835 is becoming very generic and what sets apart one flagship phone from another really are these smaller, niche things/features: big, >4000 mAh batteries, larger than 6" screens, ir blaster, headphone jacks, sd card support and dual sim support. Almost all flagships with snapdragon 835 have stupidly reduced battery capacity, removed FM radio, headphone jack, sd card support, etc, all in the name of slimmer profiles/bodies and an ip68 water resistant features. They end up becoming too similar and generic that price and brand name becomes their only unique selling proposition which is not enough to change their market share. If Xiaomi wants to grab the flagship market share from Samsung, it has to offer features that the Samsung doesn't have. Copying Samsung's removal of FM radio, removal of headphone jack, removal of ir blaster and sd card support will only make it fare worse than Samsung.

  • Please exactly explain camera and battery and code prosess

  • Yes, and if not there is adapter. You just can't listen and charge at same time.

  • It's half the price of most flagships, obviously they had to cut out some features to make it cheaper

  • N stuff it wid another 2 cameras 4 sided finger print sensor and 2 tb hard internal...........n a minigenerator......it will be the ultimate flagship

  • Shut up and take my money !

  • hope come with audio jack and microsd slot

  • other flagship come with 2k res, why xiaomi still stuck 1080p.. its like no more sun for xiaomi

  • Dual 12mp

  • add memory card slot, QHD screen, add audio jack, and 6000mah battery. it will be good flagship killer..

  • Yea, amoled is popular

  • bad phone. without memory card slot

  • It is not mistake because phone doesn't officially arrived and nobody can tell for sure if jack won't appear

  • when it lunching

  • no radio.why?

  • Headph jack is mentioned as yes in the specs ? Is that a mistake from GSMArena ?

  • anybody have a prediction about the price??

  • 19 MP or 12 MP.... you have mention both?

  • based on the spec listed... this 1 apparently has audio jack...

  • No headphone jack? They should stop trying to copy the iPhone. I don't want an iPhone, I want something better than an iPhone.

  • I would buy this phone over Samsung, day and night. Almost perfect for me almost.

  • Burn-in barriers

  • Not really mate

  • amoled is bad screen

  • maybe an amoled screen like on the redmi pro is expecting,1080 resolution is enough i think

  • For xiaomi flagship I wish QHD (2560x1440) screen, stereo speakers, and 6000mah battery.

  • 11 april you will show up next month you will in ma hand

  • Everything is fine.. But SD card slot should be added. Major issue is memory restriction. Also OTG support is not there. Otherwise best release awaiting

  • There was a deal between Xiaomi and dolby! I hope there's a great sound quality in that device.

  • There is a huge difference in the camera department. I am hoping for better design and build quality too.

  • Hopefully it will include a QHD display (to be more flagship), but even more, to include an SD card slot & a dual stereo speakers.

  • Mi phones have low quality sound. If mi6 had stereo speakers i would definitly buy it

  • Fingerprint looking not so good. It's looking as like as toy mobile.

  • only fools use their phone as a VR device.....

  • *rumor

  • not gud look

  • I want to Xiaomi mi 5s plus so badly, but i am thinking i would be better of waiting for this. What is tje expected price going to be around?

  • why does it say 19mp on the headline spec but then say "Dual 12 MP" on the main camera specs?

  • Totally agree with this point, flagship phones today should have seen 4k screens that you can down-rate to 1080 screens for every day use and then bump it up to 4k as and when you want it with 4k on VR being a must.

  • 2017 specs with a beast of a battery ,, just waiting for the price to breeze my ears

  • Mi6 with less battery and no SD card support, these are must point for success of mi6 otherwise sorry xiaomi ( rest in peace)

  • its so odd the specs look great but why 1080p i know it daily use it will be just fine but im getting into vr and it will be really poplar soon and 1080p just isn't enough but if the price is cheap enough ill go for it it will be incredibly fast with that resolion and chip set with amazing battery life

  • Can mi6 release with low price again? I hope the price still remain cheap

  • Looks great spec wise. But Xiaomi should make a premium device with good price for the people who want an all-in high end device.Like a Xiaomi 6S plus.Which will have Nokia 6 durability and great built quality.Water proof and dust proof and corning gorilla glass 4 or better with good price above 600$. SD Card is optional but it would be great to have in the price range as well.FM Radio too.

  • For the price you are getting a SD 835 processor, newest and best on the market so far which makes Samsung S8 or Sony XZ premium with prices above 900$.And here you get this for roughly 400$.

  • It's gonna have a much bigger battery 🔋 and a better camera, maybe better built quality too

  • Plz release in India too

  • NO SD card slot NO waterproofing NO OTG? NO! NEXT!

  • i was expecting it would support otg or reversible

  • Look great. Only i expected new version of OS and hope it will be for adequate price.

  • camera is 19 and it is confirmed for mi 6. for mi 6 plus there's no any announcement

  • Snap 821 is not very powerful. In multicore is slower than 1.5 years older exynos 7420. what's supposedly better is battery consumption but even there the difference are not that great. Snap 835 is quite faster though, mostly because it has more cores and android making perfect use of cores. It mostly doesn't matter though because most android workloads are close to nothing at this point. Even low to mid range SoCs deal them well. The last remaining bastion is heavy games. But not many of them exist on android.

  • Camera is 19 or 12?

  • or even 4gb/6gb ram....128gb/256gb rom i think there is no diffrence between this phone & mi 5s plus u can keep ur mi 5s plus till next year, becas snap 821 still powerfull cpu to acquit ur needs at least xiaomi could add ip68 to new mi6 series to made diffrence between new & old generation

  • it's rumor my friend....not more

  • must be 128/256 gb rom....6gb/8gb ram 64/128 gb is old

  • Looks like s8!

  • Marshmallow OS .-.
